- 0:15Speaker 2: some of the understanding of what's in the deal has
- 0:17Speaker 2: now come to light with a rant.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Well, it is twelve forty five am Tuesday night, and Ben,
- 0:24Speaker 3: I guess was stuck on an airport or airplane somewhere.

- 0:34Speaker 2: you see, it's the other way around sixty four other days.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I'm just saying I spent two hours in
- 0:39Speaker 3: my DC apartment staring at the wall. So it's good
- 0:42Speaker 3: to be with you. Welcome back. I a thinking you
- 0:45Speaker 3: were like in Vegas dancing with Chippendale's or something, except.
- 0:49Speaker 1: It was with you last night.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I literally almost could have done the show before I
- 0:53Speaker 2: left at that point.
- 0:54Speaker 3: It's true that would have happily worked.
- 0:56Speaker 4: All right.
- 0:57Speaker 3: We got a lot to talk about We're going to
- 1:00Speaker 3: start by talking about Georgia and a big result in

- 1:07Speaker 3: and what's the deal with this new Iran deal? And
- 1:12Speaker 3: there are a lot of questions, a lot of people
- 1:14Speaker 3: are wondering. We're gonna break it down based on what
- 1:16Speaker 3: we know and what it means. Is this a good thing,
- 1:19Speaker 3: is it a bad thing? What are the consequences, what
- 1:21Speaker 3: comes next? We're gonna give you all the details on that,
- 1:24Speaker 3: all of that on today's pod.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a shocking news story there that has just broken.
- 1:30Speaker 2: We'll have it for you in a moment. Before we

- 3:30Speaker 2: All right, So, as promised, we are going to talk
- 3:32Speaker 2: a lot about a Randy Randial. But there is a
- 3:34Speaker 2: story that is not being covered that is an important story,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and that is there was actually an election in Georgia.
- 3:41Speaker 2: You were involved in it. You went down to Georgia.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Was that yesterday or the day before? Every day's running
- 3:45Speaker 2: together now with with the with the flight times and
- 3:47Speaker 2: you know, whatever time it is in the morning as
- 3:49Speaker 2: we speak. But you were just there and made an
- 3:52Speaker 2: endorsement there or couple actually in Georgia. What has happened there?
- 3:55Speaker 2: And what does this mean for the control of power
- 3:58Speaker 2: in DC?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was yesterday and there was a The
- 4:04Speaker 3: Georgia primaries were tonight Tuesday night in Georgia, and in
- 4:08Speaker 3: the governor's race, you had a guy named Rick Jackson,
- 4:12Speaker 3: who's a very successful businessman who was running against Burt Jones,
- 4:16Speaker 3: who's the lieutenant governor. And early on President Trump had
- 4:20Speaker 3: endorsed Burt Jones, and just a few days ago I
- 4:24Speaker 3: endorsed Rick Jackson, and that caused the press to like
- 4:28Speaker 3: the tongues to wag and be like, oh, this is
- 4:31Speaker 3: a big conflict. I will say, Look, my approach on
- 4:36Speaker 3: endorsements is Number One, I endorse the most conservative candidate
- 4:41Speaker 3: who can win. Yeah, and so I want to see
- 4:44Speaker 3: proven evidence that you're conservative, but I also want to
- 4:47Speaker 3: see that you can win, that you got a path
- 4:49Speaker 3: to victory, not just in the primary but in the general.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Number Two, I tend to get involved in races late
- 4:55Speaker 3: late to that. That's my philosophical approach is that I
- 4:58Speaker 3: try to get involved right before election day, hopefully at
- 5:03Speaker 3: a time when the election is close and my involvement
- 5:07Speaker 3: can make a difference, it can move someone into victory.
- 5:10Speaker 3: And so I jumped in this race just a few
- 5:12Speaker 3: days ago. Yesterday, the day before the election, I flew
- 5:16Speaker 3: down to Georgia to Atlanta, did a big rally with Rick,
- 5:21Speaker 3: and I got to say, so Rick's story. Let me
- 5:23Speaker 3: tell you a little bit about the guy. And I
- 5:25Speaker 3: did not know him until the last few days, but
- 5:28Speaker 3: I looked at his record, I examined it, I talked
- 5:30Speaker 3: to people who knew him, and I made the decision
- 5:32Speaker 3: to endorse it. So his story. He grew up in
- 5:37Speaker 3: a broken home in the projects in Atlanta, poverty, dysfunction.
- 5:44Speaker 3: As a young boy, he ran away from home. He
- 5:47Speaker 3: ended up going into the foster home system as a child.
- 5:53Speaker 3: He had five foster families, so that's what he came
- 5:57Speaker 3: out of. He then went on to college, spent I
- 6:01Speaker 3: think a little over a year in college, dropped out
- 6:03Speaker 3: of college, did not succeed in college, and he went
- 6:07Speaker 3: and got a job. This is a cool story. So
- 6:09Speaker 3: he went and interviewed to work for a company that
- 6:13Speaker 3: was engaged in healthcare sales. He did the interview, he
- 6:16Speaker 3: did pretty well, and then the guy interviewing him said,
- 6:19Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Look, we only hire people who have college degrees.
- 6:23Speaker 3: You dropped out of college. We're not going to hire you.
- 6:25Speaker 3: And Rick said, okay, that's fine. He said, can I
- 6:28Speaker 3: ask you, just out of curiosity, what did the job pay?
- 6:32Speaker 3: And the guy said, well, it paid fifteen hundred dollars
- 6:36Speaker 3: a month plus thirty three percent of all the sales
- 6:39Speaker 3: you make. And Rick came back. He said, I'll tell
- 6:43Speaker 3: you what, how about if you don't pay me the
- 6:46Speaker 3: fifteen hundred dollars a month, don't pay me anything, but
- 6:50Speaker 3: just give me the thirty three percent of the sales,
- 6:53Speaker 3: and the guy kind of laughed. He said, well, that
- 6:55Speaker 3: sounds like a good deal. I don't have anything to
- 6:57Speaker 3: lose on that, do I. So he hired it even
- 6:59Speaker 3: though he didn't have a college. He came in and
- 7:02Speaker 3: was a monster salesman. Ended up making so much money
- 7:07Speaker 3: that within two years he bought the company that had
- 7:11Speaker 3: hired him. Wow, and he ends up building this company
- 7:16Speaker 3: into a massive, multi billion dollar healthcare company in Georgia.
- 7:22Speaker 3: He's one of the biggest employers in the state of Georgia.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Incredibly successful businessman, self built from nothing. Yeah, he now
- 7:33Speaker 3: has been an incredibly generous philanthropist. He's decided, look, I
- 7:37Speaker 3: don't want to take He's worth several billion dollars, he's
- 7:39Speaker 3: very successful, and he said, I don't want to take
- 7:42Speaker 3: this money with me, so I'm going to give it
- 7:44Speaker 3: away and make a difference to the world around me. So,
- 7:47Speaker 3: for example, on foster care, he has given millions to
- 7:51Speaker 3: help foster kids in Georgia. So kids that are in
- 7:55Speaker 3: foster care, he'll come in and say, you know what,
- 7:57Speaker 3: I'm going to pay for you to college. I'm going
- 7:59Speaker 3: to pay for your expenses I'm going to help you
- 8:01Speaker 3: get started because he's been there. Look, so many foster
- 8:05Speaker 3: kids that they've been subject to horrible conditions. They've often
- 8:09Speaker 3: been subject to abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuse. They're the
- 8:13Speaker 3: kids that it seems sometimes society gives up one. And
- 8:19Speaker 3: he understands firsthand. Look, you can be in that circumstance
- 8:22Speaker 3: and you can make something of your life and make
- 8:24Speaker 3: a real difference. And so he's invested in these kids
- 8:28Speaker 3: that have every disadvantage. I'm going to help them achieve
- 8:33Speaker 3: their dreams. He's also funded Christian ministries all over the world.
- 8:36Speaker 3: For example, he's funded a Christian orphanage in China that
- 8:43Speaker 3: my understanding is it's the lone orphanage that's able to
- 8:46Speaker 3: teach Christianity in China. So he's he's putting, look, you
- 8:50Speaker 3: and I are both Christians. It's one thing to have
- 8:53Speaker 3: empty words. It's one thing to say you have faith.
- 8:57Speaker 3: It's another thing to put your faith to act, to
- 9:00Speaker 3: put to invest and make a difference. And and Rick decided, Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 3: I'm going to run for governor because I think I
- 9:07Speaker 3: can make a difference. And I looked at at his
- 9:10Speaker 3: record and I said, this guy has an incredible, I mean,
- 9:14Speaker 3: an inspirational life story, and I think he can win,
- 9:17Speaker 3: and so I endorsed him. I went down we did
- 9:21Speaker 3: a big rally in Georgia, and I'm gonna give you
- 9:23Speaker 3: some fun behind the scenes story. So as we're coming in,
- 9:27Speaker 3: I fly down there on Monday, We're going to the rally,
- 9:30Speaker 3: and trumpet endorsed his opponent, this guy named Burt Jones.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I don't know Burt Jones. I'm sure he's a perfectly
- 9:36Speaker 3: decent and fine man.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He's the lieutenant He endorsed early, right, so people understand.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Yes, he endorsed early before Rick was in the race,
- 9:45Speaker 3: and I understand.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Look that's a key point.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he went for who he thought at the time
- 9:50Speaker 2: the other guy wasn't in yet.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, Jones was the lieutenant governor, he was running, and
- 9:53Speaker 3: so Trump endorsed early. Rick wasn't in the race. So
- 9:57Speaker 3: so Rick was actually at the White House a big
- 10:00Speaker 3: fundraiser this weekend, and you know, Trump was saying, Hey,
- 10:03Speaker 3: this guy's great, he's awesome, he's incredibly successful. I didn't
- 10:07Speaker 3: know him, but he was like praising him vocally at
- 10:09Speaker 3: this fundraiser this weekend. As I'm flying in, I'm headed
- 10:15Speaker 3: to the event and we get the news that Donald
- 10:19Speaker 3: Trump Junior is going to endorse Rick Jackson. Now that's
- 10:23Speaker 3: a big deal because the main argument against him, what
- 10:26Speaker 3: everyone was pounding him, is that Trump, Trump the Dad,
- 10:30Speaker 3: had endorsed his opponent. You know, tons of campaign ads
- 10:33Speaker 3: saying Trump picked the other guy. And we get the
- 10:36Speaker 3: news that Don Junior was going to endorse Rick, and
- 10:38Speaker 3: it was actually fun. As I'm headed to the event,
- 10:41Speaker 3: the campaign said, hey, do you want to announce Don
- 10:45Speaker 3: Junior's endorsement and listen, Don Junior is a buddy of mine.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I know him very well. And I was like, yeah, sure,
- 10:51Speaker 3: And I said, look, I just want to help your campaign,
- 10:54Speaker 3: So if it's helpful for me to announce it, I'm
- 10:56Speaker 3: happy to. If it's not, like, it's your call, but
- 10:59Speaker 3: I'm more than happy to. And they ended up deciding
- 11:04Speaker 3: that Don Junior the actual endorsement statement was not going
- 11:08Speaker 3: to use the word endorse, but was going to praise
- 11:10Speaker 3: him as like he's a great patriot. I know him
- 11:13Speaker 3: well and he's fantastic and he's America first, and the
- 11:18Speaker 3: timing ended up working out. I said, sure, I'm happy
- 11:20Speaker 3: to announce it. But then they didn't end up approving
- 11:23Speaker 3: the statement for another two hours, and it just look,
- 11:25Speaker 3: it takes some time when you're right before an election
- 11:27Speaker 3: and you're trying to decide going through a political operation,
- 11:30Speaker 3: it takes some time to approve it. So I said,
- 11:32Speaker 3: I'm happy to announce it. It wasn't finalized, so I
- 11:35Speaker 3: did not, in fact announce it from the stage. But
- 11:39Speaker 3: right after I left, Don Junior tweeted out the support
- 11:43Speaker 3: and tonight Rick ended up winning. The margin as of
- 11:49Speaker 3: tonight nine to nine percent is in is fifty two
- 11:52Speaker 3: point six percent to forty seven four percent. It's a
- 11:57Speaker 3: great victory, and I think so one of the cases
- 12:01Speaker 3: I made to the voters. We had a big, big
- 12:03Speaker 3: rally in Georgia, and I said, listen that Rick's life
- 12:06Speaker 3: story is incredible. He's campaigning on a promise number one,
- 12:11Speaker 3: to immediately freeze property taxes in Georgia. That's big number two,
- 12:17Speaker 3: on income taxes, to cut the Georgia income tax in half,
- 12:23Speaker 3: and ultimately to work to abolish it all together. And
- 12:25Speaker 3: what Rick has said is he said if he doesn't
- 12:29Speaker 3: succeed in freezing the property taxes and cutting the income
- 12:32Speaker 3: tax in half, he will not run for reelection. He
- 12:35Speaker 3: will serve one term. If he fails in that, he's
- 12:37Speaker 3: not running for reelection. And I made a point to everyone.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I said, listen, I've got a crazy secret here. Rick
- 12:45Speaker 3: is rich. Like everyone laughs, I'm like, yeah, look, this
- 12:48Speaker 3: is an incredibly successful dude. He could play golf every day.
- 12:53Speaker 3: He could sit on the beach and drink dakeres and
- 12:55Speaker 3: live a life of leisure. And I said, listen, to
- 12:59Speaker 3: run for office, you got to be nuts, you've got
- 13:02Speaker 3: to be certified. You get attacked constantly. There's so much
- 13:07Speaker 3: and Rick is doing this. The case I made, I said,
- 13:09Speaker 3: Rick is doing this because he believes in Georgia. He
- 13:13Speaker 3: believes in the country. He believes he could make a difference.
- 13:15Speaker 3: And listen, Georgia used to be bright red. The unfortunate
- 13:20Speaker 3: reality is it's purple now and the Democrats. Right now,
- 13:25Speaker 3: the Democrats are leading in the polling for the governor's race.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I think Rick will win. I think Rick will keep
- 13:31Speaker 3: Georgia red. And I also made the case. I said, listen,
- 13:34Speaker 3: by y'all coming out and voting for Rick, we're going
- 13:38Speaker 3: to help John oss Off get a job in the
- 13:39Speaker 3: private sector. John Ossoff is the very liberal Democrat who
- 13:44Speaker 3: represents Georgia. He may be the Senator who is most
- 13:49Speaker 3: out of step with the values of his state because
- 13:51Speaker 3: he's a very liberal Democrat. George is not a very
- 13:54Speaker 3: liberal state. But he's got a ton of money and
- 13:57Speaker 3: he's right now leading in the polls a lot. And
- 13:59Speaker 3: I said, listen, if you want to win the Senate
- 14:02Speaker 3: seat here in Georgia, the best way to do it
- 14:06Speaker 3: is have a gubernatorial candidate who's running an incredible campaign,
- 14:10Speaker 3: who's mobilizing voters across the state, who, by the way,
- 14:13Speaker 3: I mean, Rick has put massive millions of millions of
- 14:17Speaker 3: dollars in the campaign, so he's gonna he's funding it himself.
- 14:21Speaker 3: And if you end up with a gubernatorial candidate at
- 14:24Speaker 3: the top of the race who's turning out a ton
- 14:26Speaker 3: of voters, that's how you have a chance to win
- 14:30Speaker 3: the Senate race also, and I got to say, I'm
- 14:33Speaker 3: gratified the voters of Georgia agreed and we had a big,
- 14:37Speaker 3: big win in Georgia nine.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So let's get into Iran. It was a very interesting day.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I was in DC and I was in Fox in
- 14:47Speaker 2: the green room, and there was a lot of activity
- 14:49Speaker 2: with this Iran deal. I was doing a couple of
- 14:51Speaker 2: different shows and everybody was trying to figure out are
- 14:55Speaker 2: we excited about the deal?
- 14:57Speaker 1: Are we not?
- 14:58Speaker 2: I had friends on TV that were saying, I think
- 15:00Speaker 2: this is not a great deal. I had friends on
- 15:02Speaker 2: TV that said this is a great deal. I had
- 15:04Speaker 2: people in between. There was elected officials that I was
- 15:08Speaker 2: talking to as well as they were asking me what
- 15:10Speaker 2: do I think? But like, how is this going to
- 15:12Speaker 2: play out? My synopsis was this, and I want to
- 15:15Speaker 2: get your take. The president understands midterms are coming and
- 15:18Speaker 2: we have to win the midterms. Gas prices need to
- 15:21Speaker 2: be lower before the midterms. He had a simple promise,
- 15:24Speaker 2: which was to make sure rand doesn't get a nuclear weapon.
- 15:27Speaker 2: That is the promise that people care about the most,
- 15:29Speaker 2: and they want this thing to end pretty quickly. We
- 15:32Speaker 2: also know we have a president that has no problem
- 15:35Speaker 2: bombing bad guys when they're acting up, and if Iran
- 15:38Speaker 2: does anything that the President thinks a threat to us,
- 15:40Speaker 2: he's clearly going to act. I think you put all
- 15:43Speaker 2: that together, that's kind of where we are right now.
- 15:46Speaker 1: What is your reaction and what are your colleagues saying?
- 15:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Look, I think there's a lot of uncertainty. Right now,
- 15:54Speaker 3: nobody knows what is in the deal. Yeah, I'm in
- 15:58Speaker 3: the Senate. I've had no communication about what is in
- 16:02Speaker 3: this deal. So I'm doing the same thing you guys
- 16:05Speaker 3: are doing. I'm reading the news, I'm watching Twitter, and
- 16:12Speaker 3: you see all sorts of different reports, and it's difficult
- 16:15Speaker 3: to understand the actual substance of what's in it. There's
- 16:19Speaker 3: also active misrepresentation, so Iran is putting out massive information
- 16:26Speaker 3: basically saying this is a total victory for Iran. We've won.
- 16:29Speaker 3: The United States has capitulated. Now I don't believe what
- 16:32Speaker 3: Iran is putting out, but right now, nobody in the Senate,
- 16:37Speaker 3: nobody in the Congress, has the details of what the
- 16:40Speaker 3: agreement is. So I have, by the way, there.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Is some trust and verify here for the Senate for
- 16:46Speaker 2: you that don't understand this. To lift the sanctions, you
- 16:50Speaker 2: guys are going to know exactly what's in there, and
- 16:53Speaker 2: you have to agree to it.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Am I right? Isn't that how this works?
- 16:57Speaker 3: Look? It depends the way the sanctioned laws are written.
- 17:00Speaker 3: The President has quite a bit of discretion. I hope
- 17:04Speaker 3: and believe this deal will come before the Congress and
- 17:07Speaker 3: will know the specifics of it, and we're going to
- 17:09Speaker 3: know them in time. But this is you know, we're
- 17:12Speaker 3: hours into this, this is very early. I will let
- 17:17Speaker 3: me talk about different elements that may or may not
- 17:19Speaker 3: be in the deal. One of the elements that has
- 17:22Speaker 3: been widely reported is that Iran is going to get
- 17:26Speaker 3: three hundred billion dollars in order to rebuild Iran, and
- 17:33Speaker 3: those are going to come from frozen funds from other sources.
- 17:38Speaker 3: It's not clear where that's going to come from. I've
- 17:41Speaker 3: got to say I very much hope that is not true.
- 17:46Speaker 3: If somehow we are flowing three hundred billion dollars to Iran,
- 17:51Speaker 3: I think that is an incredibly foolish idea.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 17:56Speaker 2: By the way, that's that's no different than the palats
- 17:58Speaker 2: of cash and appeasement many people's.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Eyes, Actually it is different. Obama flew one point seven
- 18:06Speaker 3: billion dollars in cash into Iran. Joe Biden flowed one
- 18:11Speaker 3: hundred billion dollars into Iran during his four years. If
- 18:16Speaker 3: and I do not know that this is right, but
- 18:18Speaker 3: if we are sending three hundred billion dollars three x
- 18:21Speaker 3: what Biden sent, I think that is utterly indefensible. So
- 18:25Speaker 3: I am hoping that is not true. I have no
- 18:28Speaker 3: confirmation it's true. Iran is saying it's true, but I
- 18:31Speaker 3: don't trust them, so that would be an enormous mistake.
- 18:37Speaker 3: And listen, it is universally reported. This is a deal
- 18:41Speaker 3: that has been negotiated by jd Vance. He has been
- 18:43Speaker 3: the point person on negotiating this deal. He is now
- 18:47Speaker 3: doing the talk show circuit defending the deal. But we
- 18:50Speaker 3: don't know what the specifics are. I got to say,
- 18:53Speaker 3: if the decision is let's give actually here, I want
- 18:59Speaker 3: to share something so Chris Ruddy. Chris Ruddy is something
- 19:02Speaker 3: someone you and I both know well. He is the
- 19:05Speaker 3: owner of Newsbacks. Chris Ruddy wrote a very important opad
- 19:09Speaker 3: on Newsbacks, and I want to share some of it.
- 19:13Speaker 3: The title of it is say No to three hundred
- 19:17Speaker 3: billion dollar Iran Reconstruction Fund. And here's what Chris wrote.
- 19:22Speaker 3: President Trump was right to call reports of a three
- 19:24Speaker 3: hundred billion dollar reconstruction fund for Iran quote fake news.
- 19:29Speaker 3: He should keep calling them that until the idea is dead,
- 19:34Speaker 3: buried and impossible to revive. Under another name, Vice President J.
- 19:39Speaker 3: D Vance has sought to reassure skeptics about the plan quote,
- 19:43Speaker 3: the Iranians are not receiving any cash and no funds
- 19:46Speaker 3: are being released for simply signing a deal or attending
- 19:49Speaker 3: a meeting, the Vice president said this past weekend. Vance
- 19:52Speaker 3: then said the economic benefits would flow only if Tehran
- 19:56Speaker 3: meets his obligations under a future agreement. That is better
- 20:01Speaker 3: than a blank check. But it suggests a three hundred
- 20:05Speaker 3: billion dollars check is still in the works and part
- 20:09Speaker 3: of the memorandum of understandings that start sixty days that
- 20:13Speaker 3: starts a sixty day ceasefire. Here's the central question. Why
- 20:19Speaker 3: should Iran receive access to any reconstruction fund, let alone
- 20:26Speaker 3: one with three hundred billion dollars. That's a third of
- 20:29Speaker 3: a trillion dollars. The floated proposal makes no sense. Worse,
- 20:37Speaker 3: it is dangerous, and Ruddy continues. It would reward a
- 20:42Speaker 3: maniacal regime not for reforming, not for compensating its victims,
- 20:46Speaker 3: and not for abandoning terror as an instrument of statecraft.
- 20:51Speaker 3: It would reward Iran for surviving a war it provoked
- 20:57Speaker 3: through decades of nuclear blackmail, proxy violence, and regional aggression.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Let's put this in perspective for more than forty years,
- 21:06Speaker 3: Iran's rulers have obsessed over acquiring the capability to destroy Israel,
- 21:11Speaker 3: threaten America, and dominate the Middle East. They call the
- 21:16Speaker 3: United States the quote Great Satan. They've burned through tens
- 21:21Speaker 3: of billions of dollars and effectively checked out of the
- 21:23Speaker 3: civilized community of nations in pursuit of their dream nuclear weapons.
- 21:28Speaker 3: They have repeatedly stated their aim publicly and loudly quote
- 21:33Speaker 3: to wipe Israel off the map. In the interim of
- 21:37Speaker 3: that goal, Tehran has funded Mayhem across the region. Hesbela
- 21:43Speaker 3: so clearly backed by Iran it has been part of
- 21:45Speaker 3: their negotiations, has long terrorized northern Israel for forty years.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Hesbel has fired tens of thousands of rockets into Israel,
- 21:55Speaker 3: costing billions in damage, thousands of casualties, and hundreds of deaths.
- 22:00Speaker 3: The Huthies, another proxy of Tehran, have fired missiles at
- 22:04Speaker 3: Israel and disrupted international shipping for years. They have attacked
- 22:09Speaker 3: US naval ships with drones and missiles no less than
- 22:13Speaker 3: four hundred times. This is not a misunderstood regime looking
- 22:19Speaker 3: for an off ramp. It's a revolutionary regime that made
- 22:24Speaker 3: violence its business model. Even the assassination of President Trump
- 22:30Speaker 3: remains a priority business item. So Chris's op ed and
- 22:35Speaker 3: it goes on. It's a lengthy op ed, so I'm
- 22:37Speaker 3: not going to read the rest of it, but it
- 22:39Speaker 3: makes the powerful case. I very much hope the reports
- 22:43Speaker 3: that three hundred billion dollars are going to flow to Iran,
- 22:47Speaker 3: I hope those are false. And I don't know that
- 22:49Speaker 3: they're true. I have no basis to believe they're true.
- 22:52Speaker 3: But I got to say, sending three hundred billion dollars
- 22:57Speaker 3: to theocratic lunatics who want to murder us is not
- 23:01Speaker 3: a good idea. I am very much hoping hoping that
- 23:05Speaker 3: as Iranian misinformation and that is not part of the deal.
- 23:09Speaker 3: And I want you to listen to President Trump discussing
- 23:15Speaker 3: where things stand at the G seven. Here, get a listen.
- 23:22Speaker 4: It's a very important document.
- 23:24Speaker 5: And unlike Obama, who could have destroyed the Middle East
- 23:29Speaker 5: with a horrible jc POA, it is the worst agreement.
- 23:35Speaker 4: That was a road to a nuclear weapon. Mine is
- 23:37Speaker 4: a wall against a nuclear weapon. I mean, I see
- 23:40Speaker 4: these people say, but we already had one. He paid
- 23:43Speaker 4: a fortune for it, We paid nothing. We don't pay.
- 23:46Speaker 4: There was some statement we're going to spend three hundred
- 23:48Speaker 4: million dollars. Now, we're allowed to go and invest if
- 23:52Speaker 4: we wanted to someday in the future. We have no
- 23:55Speaker 4: obligation whatsoever. It could be that Iran will turn out
- 23:58Speaker 4: to be successful, and they will, But if we left
- 24:06Speaker 4: a week ago, just left before the last two attacks,
- 24:10Speaker 4: it would have taken him twenty years to rebuild. I
- 24:12Speaker 4: ran so, but I'll go over the document with the
- 24:16Speaker 4: media in a couple of days.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Now.
- 24:20Speaker 2: The president, they're saying, he'll go over it with the media,
- 24:23Speaker 2: he'll be transparent, he's going to read it. But he
- 24:25Speaker 2: says that three hundred is not there.
- 24:28Speaker 3: And I'm very comforted. I am glad the president is
- 24:32Speaker 3: saying that he is right to say that. It's why Look,
- 24:36Speaker 3: I am withholding judgment until I actually see the details.
- 24:39Speaker 3: The reporters are all like, oh, don't you want to
- 24:41Speaker 3: say something about this, and I'm like, look, until I
- 24:44Speaker 3: know what the agreement is, I'm not going to comment
- 24:46Speaker 3: without basis. We're saying the reporting. What I can say
- 24:51Speaker 3: without equivocation is that giving three hundred billion dollars to
- 24:55Speaker 3: Iran is a spectacularly bad idea. I hope and pray
- 24:59Speaker 3: that's not what this deal is. I'll be very happy
- 25:03Speaker 3: if when the deal the details become public it's not
- 25:07Speaker 3: giving three hundred billion dollars. But I have no hesitancy
- 25:10Speaker 3: that giving three hundred million dollars to Iran would be disastrous.
- 25:12Speaker 3: And to be clear, they would use that money to
- 25:15Speaker 3: build weapons to kill Americans as I.
- 25:18Speaker 1: And they would use that mighty give it to Hamas
- 25:21Speaker 1: and hes blood.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Yeah, to fun terrorists that are murdering Americans, as I observed.
- 25:28Speaker 3: To some of my colleagues in the Senate, I said, look,
- 25:30Speaker 3: giving three hundred billion dollars to theocratical lunatics who want
- 25:33Speaker 3: to murder us is not a good idea.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I hope that's a sound foreign policy. Center.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Let's just be clear, like that's that is a pretty
- 25:42Speaker 2: sound foreign policy I like we're headed.
- 25:44Speaker 3: And by the way, look, I talked to the President
- 25:47Speaker 3: just a few days ago, right before this deal was announced.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I am really hopeful. Look, one of the dynamics in
- 25:54Speaker 3: the Trump administration is there are different camps within the
- 25:57Speaker 3: administration that have different policy. There are camps in the
- 26:01Speaker 3: administration that oppose the Iranian military attack, that have wanted
- 26:07Speaker 3: to end it from day one that have been deeply
- 26:10Speaker 3: unhappy with the President's decision to go in and take
- 26:14Speaker 3: out the Iranian military. I don't know the extent to
- 26:19Speaker 3: which those voices are prevailing right now, because there's an
- 26:22Speaker 3: active dispute playing out day by day in the administration.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I will say this though, there are also some Democrats
- 26:30Speaker 3: in some of the media are crowing, oh, this is
- 26:32Speaker 3: exactly like Obama and the JCPOA. It most certainly is
- 26:36Speaker 3: not that understand what Donald Trump has done. The decision
- 26:41Speaker 3: to launch the military attack against Iran was the single
- 26:44Speaker 3: most important decision of the Trump presidency. He has destroyed
- 26:49Speaker 3: over eighty percent of their ballistic missiles, over eighty percent
- 26:52Speaker 3: of their drones. He's destroyed their drone manufacturing capability, their
- 26:55Speaker 3: ballistic missiles manufacturing capability. He's utterly destroyed the air defenses.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Their air force is in rubble on the runways. Their
- 27:05Speaker 3: navy is sunk at the bottom of the ocean. You
- 27:07Speaker 3: know how many Iranian naval ships he has sunk?
- 27:10Speaker 1: How many?
- 27:11Speaker 3: One hundred and sixty one.
- 27:13Speaker 1: That's a lot.
- 27:14Speaker 3: It is the largest naval defeat since World War II. Wow.
- 27:18Speaker 3: The Iranian military has been destroyed and by the way.
- 27:21Speaker 3: The Iatola is dead, many of the Mullas are dead,
- 27:23Speaker 3: many of the senior leaders of the IRGC is dead.
- 27:26Speaker 3: So under any measure, they're democrats who are lunatically claiming
- 27:33Speaker 3: Iran is stronger today than it's ever been. No know
- 27:37Speaker 3: that they have been bombed backed in the stone Age.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Under no measure, are they stronger than they've ever been now?
- 27:43Speaker 3: I don't want to see theocratic Islamists who want to
- 27:46Speaker 3: kill us made stronger. So if this deal is giving
- 27:50Speaker 3: them three hundred billion dollars, that's a mistake. I hope
- 27:54Speaker 3: that is not the case. But the sort of cute
- 27:59Speaker 3: talking point that this is just like Obama is absurd
- 28:03Speaker 3: and false. The Obama Iran nuclear deal was designed to
- 28:09Speaker 3: inevitably lead to Iran having a nuclear weapon. The President
- 28:12Speaker 3: has launched a massive military action designed to prevent Iran
- 28:17Speaker 3: from having a nuclear weapon. That is massively, massively different.
- 28:21Speaker 3: What I'm urging the president, what I'm saying to him
- 28:24Speaker 3: is it is don't give away the victory. I don't
- 28:28Speaker 3: believe he's doing so. I hope he's not doing so.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I hope his administration is not doing so. But my
- 28:33Speaker 3: message is, don't we have defeated their military. Don't suddenly
- 28:38Speaker 3: come in with massive buckets of cash to let them
- 28:42Speaker 3: rebuild and become a threat to America.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Again, a great point.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Final question, and this is something that is going to
- 28:47Speaker 2: be in the news. And that was the vote in
- 28:50Speaker 2: the Senate on war powers with Iran. It came down
- 28:53Speaker 2: to one vote. Thank goodness, John Fetterman voted with Republicans
- 28:58Speaker 2: as some Republicans defected. Doing the math on this, it
- 29:01Speaker 2: just shows you how tight things are in the Senate.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Now you surprised by how closes was or was it
- 29:06Speaker 2: what you were going to expect? And Fetterman, by the way,
- 29:09Speaker 2: what a blessing that guy has become. I mean that
- 29:11Speaker 2: is a compliment to him where I know a lot
- 29:14Speaker 2: of issues. He does not play politics. He looks at
- 29:16Speaker 2: his right and wrong and is America better off? And
- 29:19Speaker 2: I think that was one of his votes today as
- 29:22Speaker 2: a perfect example of that.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, John Fetterman has become a friend. I like John.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I work with him quite a bit. He's got real courage.
- 29:30Speaker 3: He is the lone Democrat who will stand up to
- 29:34Speaker 3: the crazies on a host of issues. He will stand
- 29:37Speaker 3: up number one on Israel. He is not part of
- 29:40Speaker 3: the pro Hamas lunatic left, which is much of the
- 29:43Speaker 3: Democrat Party Number two. On border security, he has decided
- 29:50Speaker 3: that the policy of open borders and releasing murderers and
- 29:53Speaker 3: gang bangers and rapists and child molesters is a dumb policy.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Now that didn't used to be a radical position. That
- 30:01Speaker 3: used to be. In fact, you go back just a
- 30:03Speaker 3: few years ago, and whether it was Harry Reid or
- 30:05Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer, or Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton, every Democrat
- 30:09Speaker 3: espoused that position. Today, John Fetterman is almost the only
- 30:14Speaker 3: Democrat who will say that. I mean, it's not that
- 30:18Speaker 3: he has changed, it's that his party has gone nuts.
- 30:21Speaker 3: And I will tell you the Democrats they hate Fetterman
- 30:25Speaker 3: for it. They're vicious, they insult and revile him. I
- 30:30Speaker 3: consider John a friend, and listen, John still votes ninety
- 30:34Speaker 3: percent with the Democrats. So let's be clear. He is
- 30:37Speaker 3: not suddenly a conservative Republican. He just doesn't believe Hamas
- 30:41Speaker 3: is better than Israel and doesn't believe open borders and
- 30:43Speaker 3: criminals are better than American citizens. Those are pretty reasonable
- 30:49Speaker 3: statements that used to be mainstream and everyone agreed with,
- 30:52Speaker 3: and now virtually every other Democrat has abandoned that. Actually,
- 30:58Speaker 3: here's a question to ask our listeners. You ought to
- 31:00Speaker 3: post on social media. Uh, do y'all want John Fetterman
- 31:03Speaker 3: to be a guest on on Verdict?
- 31:05Speaker 1: Here, it's funny that you just said that.
- 31:07Speaker 2: I was only going to say center, I think we
- 31:08Speaker 2: have Fetterman on, and I've never said it live on
- 31:10Speaker 2: the air, that we should have a guest before, as
- 31:13Speaker 2: before you and I talking about behind the scenes. I
- 31:16Speaker 2: think he would be a fabulous guest for Verdict.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Look, look, John and I are buddies. I will say
- 31:22Speaker 3: you remember last year, Uh, he decided he was going
- 31:25Speaker 3: to go down to mar A Lago and meet with
- 31:27Speaker 3: with Trump, and the left lost their mind and said,
- 31:29Speaker 3: oh my god, why would you talk to the President?
- 31:30Speaker 3: What kind of lunatic are you? And and and John,
- 31:34Speaker 3: he's got a good sense of humor. It's his very
- 31:36Speaker 3: dry sense of humor. And he came back and said, well,
- 31:39Speaker 3: I'm going to ask him to make me the Pope
- 31:42Speaker 3: of Greenland, which I thought was really funny and I
- 31:46Speaker 3: actually like used ai. I found a meme and sent
- 31:50Speaker 3: out a meme of Fetterman as the pope in like
- 31:53Speaker 3: papal Robes in Greenland and like tweeted it out and
- 31:57Speaker 3: I said it to John and we were cracking up
- 31:59Speaker 3: laughing about it because I thought that was really funny.
- 32:02Speaker 3: But look, he's shown real courage. The fact that he
- 32:08Speaker 3: is so alone in the Democrat Party really illustrates how
- 32:11Speaker 3: radicalized they become.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great point.
- 32:14Speaker 2: We're gonna keep you updated on this obviously, the deal
- 32:16Speaker 2: with a Rand Probably on Friday morning show, we'll have
- 32:19Speaker 2: a lot more details of what is in this deal.
- 32:21Speaker 1: So don't forget.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Download Verdict with Ted Cruz wherever you get your podcasts
- 32:25Speaker 2: so you don't miss an episode. You can also watch

- 32:32Speaker 2: the country.
- 32:33Speaker 1: And we'll see you back here Friday morning.
