- 1:55Speaker 3: Come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think I sure will?
- 2:04Speaker 8: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 8: come on, y'all dig me now. One and only Steve
- 2:11Speaker 8: Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Man. Is God good to me? Unbelievable? Yeah, he is.
- 2:17Speaker 2: And I can only attribute it to one thing. It's
- 2:21Speaker 2: just been a turnaround in my life.
- 2:23Speaker 8: It's been me finally making decision to see what all
- 2:28Speaker 8: God has for me, but at the same time trying
- 2:31Speaker 8: to be more God want me to be instead of
- 2:33Speaker 8: more of what I want to be.
- 2:35Speaker 2: That's the trade off.
- 2:36Speaker 8: You know, you gotta do something now, you know you
- 2:38Speaker 8: know you want God's blessings, You got to be willing
- 2:41Speaker 8: to do something on his behalf. And I'm not saying
- 2:44Speaker 8: I got it right right now because I'm just being
- 2:48Speaker 8: real with you. I don't I don't have it all
- 2:51Speaker 8: together by any stretch of imagination. I'm trying to get
- 2:54Speaker 8: better in several areas. I'm praying about it, I'm working
- 2:58Speaker 8: on it, but you know it's a and I've grown
- 3:02Speaker 8: to accept the process. But I'm improving in a lot
- 3:05Speaker 8: of areas from day to day. But I'll tell you what, man,
- 3:08Speaker 8: my success, all that's going on with me, I can
- 3:11Speaker 8: only attribute to this turnaround. And the turnaround was simple.
- 3:16Speaker 8: I turned around and started looking at God. That was
- 3:20Speaker 8: the simple move.
- 3:21Speaker 9: Man.
- 3:21Speaker 8: I just turned around and started looking at him, and
- 3:23Speaker 8: I was going, Okay, I get it. Now, you created me.
- 3:27Speaker 8: You're the creator. You have a purpose for me. I
- 3:31Speaker 8: understand that.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Now.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Now let me just walk in that purpose and let
- 3:36Speaker 2: me get to doing that purpose.
- 3:38Speaker 8: Now, my purpose and your purpose and their purpose and
- 3:42Speaker 8: anybody's purpose could be different, and the way you go
- 3:46Speaker 8: about the purpose can be different. And that's the part
- 3:50Speaker 8: that I've really grown up to. I've opened up my
- 3:53Speaker 8: mind to understanding that everybody's different, nobody's quite the same,
- 3:58Speaker 8: and that is not my right position to judge, but
- 4:02Speaker 8: to be of a forgiving spirit and understand and forgive
- 4:05Speaker 8: those as I ask God to forgive me. See that's
- 4:09Speaker 8: the key. That's the key, y'all. So when you're out
- 4:12Speaker 8: here and you stuck on this unforgiveness, understand in the
- 4:17Speaker 8: large prayer as a segment that says, forgive us our trustpasses,
- 4:22Speaker 8: as we forgive those who trustpass against us. There's another
- 4:26Speaker 8: version says forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
- 4:29Speaker 8: It's two different versions, but either one it means the
- 4:33Speaker 8: exact same thing. It means simply this, that you are
- 4:37Speaker 8: asking God to forgive yours like you forgive others. Forgive
- 4:44Speaker 8: us our trust passes as we forgive those who trustpass
- 4:48Speaker 8: against us. When I cross the line with you, God
- 4:51Speaker 8: handle me the way I handle people when they cross
- 4:55Speaker 8: the line with me. You feel what I'm saying to you, See,
- 4:58Speaker 8: you understand that. That's the breakdown of it. Best way
- 5:01Speaker 8: I can give it to you. Forgive us our truspasses
- 5:05Speaker 8: as we forgive those who trustpass against us. Forgive me
- 5:09Speaker 8: God for stepping over the line, like I forgive those
- 5:12Speaker 8: that step over the line on me. That's the hard part, man,
- 5:15Speaker 8: That's the part man I've really been working on. I've
- 5:18Speaker 8: been really trying to get that together, and so I've
- 5:21Speaker 8: learned forgiveness a lot better.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Over the past five years than I have before. And
- 5:26Speaker 2: it's paid off.
- 5:28Speaker 8: I can't tell you how it's paid off, because now
- 5:32Speaker 8: God's mercy and grace is all over me, because I've
- 5:36Speaker 8: learned to become more graceful. Now I ain't graceful like him,
- 5:42Speaker 8: I ain't merciful like him, but I've learned to become
- 5:46Speaker 8: more more graceful, more merciful, because man, I can't live
- 5:50Speaker 8: my life like that.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I just got sick of me. Man, you mad at me,
- 5:54Speaker 2: now I'm mad at you. You hating on me?
- 5:57Speaker 8: Now I'm more hate on you. I ain't got time
- 5:59Speaker 8: for that. Man, I've got you. Look here, you got
- 6:01Speaker 8: somewhere to go. Hate take up time. It's time consuming.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Hating. Trying to seek revenge just time consuming.
- 6:11Speaker 8: It take up way too much of your time to
- 6:14Speaker 8: seek revenge when vengeance ain't really yours. That's another one.
- 6:18Speaker 8: Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord. It ain't yours. So
- 6:22Speaker 8: now when you go to seek it to take it out,
- 6:25Speaker 8: guess what you're doing. You're doing something now, man. Now
- 6:28Speaker 8: you off in the area that you got no business
- 6:31Speaker 8: being in. And instead of steady climbing your letter like
- 6:34Speaker 8: you're supposed to. You didn't take out time for vengeance.
- 6:39Speaker 2: To hate. I'm a hater. I'm a be a blogger.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm a blog about so and so.
- 6:45Speaker 8: When you're blogging about somebody, and most of these people
- 6:48Speaker 8: you don't even know when you're blogging about somebody, what you're.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Doing, what you hating. It takes time to hate.
- 6:57Speaker 9: Man.
- 6:58Speaker 8: I just decided, Man, I got to take all my
- 7:01Speaker 8: time and instead of have doing time and being active,
- 7:06Speaker 8: I got to be proactive. See some people get that confused,
- 7:10Speaker 8: being active and being proactive. Pro is positive. Pro means
- 7:16Speaker 8: to move forward. You know, if you put pro in
- 7:19Speaker 8: front of most words, it's a positive influence. You know,
- 7:22Speaker 8: there's the pros and the cons. The pros is the
- 7:26Speaker 8: good side, the cons is what can go wrong, the
- 7:29Speaker 8: bad side. You know, if you're active, that's one thing.
- 7:32Speaker 8: But if you proactive, you're going forward in a positive direction.
- 7:37Speaker 8: When you become a pro that means you the best
- 7:41Speaker 8: of the best at whatever it is you chosen to be.
- 7:43Speaker 8: I'm a pro so somehow, and I'm no English teacher,
- 7:49Speaker 8: a grammatical god. The word pro a lot of times
- 7:53Speaker 8: when you put it in front of something means positiveness.
- 7:57Speaker 8: So now a lot of people think that if you
- 8:00Speaker 8: just active, something are to happen. Well, I'm doing something,
- 8:03Speaker 8: and that's what happens.
- 8:04Speaker 9: Man.
- 8:05Speaker 8: We just find ourselves doing a lot of busy work
- 8:07Speaker 8: that really ain't about nothing and ain't going nowhere. It
- 8:09Speaker 8: ain't got no direction or no purpose because we haven't
- 8:12Speaker 8: tried to find out the direction of a purpose. So
- 8:15Speaker 8: you wake up and you and your wheels are spinning.
- 8:18Speaker 8: You a hamster on a treadmill. You're running real fast,
- 8:21Speaker 8: but you're just going in the same spot. You understand
- 8:23Speaker 8: that's cause you're just out here being active instead of proactive.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Why don't you get God in your life?
- 8:29Speaker 8: Why don't you turn and face your creator and find
- 8:32Speaker 8: out how to become more proactive so you can do
- 8:35Speaker 8: things to move yourself forward. How you can get your
- 8:38Speaker 8: life off the ground and get off the treadmill and
- 8:42Speaker 8: really get it rolling in the direction that it needs
- 8:44Speaker 8: to be going. Man, I'm telling you, God can make
- 8:48Speaker 8: that change for you if he see you making the
- 8:51Speaker 8: change for him. See the whole key, man, The whole
- 8:55Speaker 8: key is you got to be willing to do something.
- 8:57Speaker 8: You got to give God something to block. Bless me God,
- 9:02Speaker 8: And then you go sit on your couch and you
- 9:03Speaker 8: ain't trying. Okay, bless me God.
- 9:06Speaker 9: With what.
- 9:08Speaker 2: What are you working with? He can't have the people
- 9:11Speaker 2: hire you if you ain't put the app in. Come on, man,
- 9:15Speaker 2: the blessing comes.
- 9:16Speaker 8: When you make a proactive step, when you try to
- 9:19Speaker 8: do something on the positive side. Look, man, I'm gonna
- 9:23Speaker 8: quit messing around with all these people. I'm gonna start
- 9:26Speaker 8: going home. I'm gonna leave these women alone out here.
- 9:28Speaker 8: You got to say, all right, man, I ain't going
- 9:31Speaker 8: over there tonight. I just ain't gonna get Then God
- 9:33Speaker 8: can work with you. God help me stop seeing all
- 9:37Speaker 8: these women. But you steady going over there calling them
- 9:40Speaker 8: setting up stuff. We can't nobody help you because once
- 9:44Speaker 8: you get over there, you already know. See, you gotta
- 9:48Speaker 8: get proactive. You gotta do something yourself. You make one step,
- 9:52Speaker 8: he'll make two. That's the key man. So come on, y'all,
- 9:57Speaker 8: you're listening.

- 24:24Speaker 12: but she's holding it and said I need to meet
- 24:27Speaker 12: with our CEO. Is honestly the best policy in this case?

- 24:39Speaker 4: What the lie?
- 24:42Speaker 2: You can't listen to me, Listen to me. You can't
- 24:48Speaker 2: ever admit you a liar?
- 24:51Speaker 1: That's the rule?
- 24:52Speaker 6: Is that?

- 26:22Speaker 2: It has nothing to do with this job, but I
- 26:24Speaker 2: was just using it to let you know my firmer employment.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I haven't lied to you, but if you don't, we
- 26:29Speaker 2: thought you worked for Davis and Daniels, a software company. Yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I've never heard of them.

- 26:36Speaker 10: getting this job.
- 26:39Speaker 8: I would, I would only I would expect nothing else
- 26:42Speaker 8: to do. I'm coming clean. What else would you like
- 26:44Speaker 8: to know?
- 26:48Speaker 4: Why did you leave your last job?
- 26:49Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 26:51Speaker 2: I just felt like it's time for a change.
- 26:54Speaker 4: You felt like it, or they felt like it.

- 27:08Speaker 8: like it was time for They may have felt the
- 27:11Speaker 8: same way, but that's not what you asked me on
- 27:13Speaker 8: the application. You asked me why I left. I felt
- 27:16Speaker 8: like it was time for a chance.
- 27:22Speaker 10: If we do hire you, can we expect you to
- 27:24Speaker 10: be honest from here on out.
- 27:27Speaker 16: I know no other way to be Okay, says Davis
- 27:33Speaker 16: and Daniel's former.

- 27:44Speaker 2: Absolutely? I have no problem telling the truth, none whatsoever.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Okay with you? Was there an altercation with you a
- 27:58Speaker 2: couple of years ago in the break room at Daniels
- 28:02Speaker 2: and Davis. Absolutely, that was an altercation over some ribs.
- 28:07Speaker 10: Since the breaks up, someone.
- 28:09Speaker 2: A customer came back and through the ribs back at
- 28:14Speaker 2: the chef.
- 28:14Speaker 8: I immediately jumped in to defend this woman who had
- 28:17Speaker 8: been the chef there for a number of years, and
- 28:19Speaker 8: it turned into an altercation. He was a much larger
- 28:21Speaker 8: man and I was defending the rights of the woman. Absolutely,

- 36:28Speaker 12: like their friend. Our parent child relationships on the same
- 36:31Speaker 12: level as kid to kid relationships.
- 36:33Speaker 10: So those are the questions friendships.
- 36:35Speaker 14: Yeah, yes, it depends on the kid. To me, okay,
- 36:42Speaker 14: they're all different. They all different, so have more maturity
- 36:47Speaker 14: than the rest, you know, Like like my daughter. I
- 36:50Speaker 14: can be friends with my daughter forever. The smartest thing
- 36:53Speaker 14: in the house, she gets, she gives life.
- 36:56Speaker 2: The other two we ain't. I am not friends with them.
- 37:03Speaker 4: No, you can't do it.
- 37:05Speaker 2: No, I can't be your friend at all. You and
- 37:08Speaker 2: Sydney going to the movie. Yeah yeah, me and Sydney
- 37:11Speaker 2: going to the movie.
- 37:12Speaker 10: Can we No, no, why not tell me they're just
- 37:18Speaker 10: not mature enough.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Sure enough, still doing stupid stuff.
- 37:24Speaker 10: Oh man, see yeah, your friends now since they're grown, let.
- 37:30Speaker 8: Me just say you this, I ain't got but three
- 37:32Speaker 8: friends in this world, and all of the asses in
- 37:37Speaker 8: they sixty all really no good.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Hell, well, my kids can't be my friend. They don't.
- 37:42Speaker 8: My kids don't even want to be my friend. The
- 37:45Speaker 8: god damn thing in coming. I don't like their music.
- 37:49Speaker 8: Don't worry we talking about No, we're not friends. Now
- 37:52Speaker 8: as they've gotten older, you know, we've gotten closer because
- 37:58Speaker 8: and it's taking a lot of PRESSU off of me too,
- 38:00Speaker 8: because now I can easily say, man, just handle your
- 38:03Speaker 8: bus to do like you want to do.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Now, when they come to me for advice, I give
- 38:07Speaker 2: it to him.
- 38:07Speaker 8: But the moment, the moment you don't take my advice,
- 38:13Speaker 8: that affects the very next time you asked me for it.
- 38:19Speaker 2: And they know that.
- 38:22Speaker 8: Once you asked me for advice and I give it
- 38:24Speaker 8: to you. When you come back the next time, and
- 38:26Speaker 8: you didn't take it.
- 38:28Speaker 10: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we gotta ask Junior.
- 38:31Speaker 10: He's a new stepfather.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Yeah, come on, you kids, good and grown.
- 38:38Speaker 11: Come on, forget that myself. Y'all already know I'm struggling with. Hell, no,
- 38:43Speaker 11: we can't be friends. It ain't happening.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Y'all already know what the hell I'm going through? Who
- 38:48Speaker 4: asked me about this?
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yere? Hell I'm going through? Junior? You don't even know
- 38:54Speaker 2: what to tell your kids?
- 38:58Speaker 13: Can't tell myself that?
- 38:59Speaker 3: Not all right?
- 39:02Speaker 4: I don't think so, Shirley, I got a teenage way friends?
- 39:06Speaker 3: Now did it?
- 39:07Speaker 2: All?
- 39:07Speaker 8: Right?
- 39:08Speaker 12: Here we go coming up in thirty four minutes after
- 39:10Speaker 12: the hour obsessing about mistakes at the job.
- 39:14Speaker 10: We'll talk about that right after this. You're listening morning show. Well, Steve,
- 39:20Speaker 10: there's this trending sports topic.
- 39:22Speaker 12: A lot of fans feel like the Detroit Lions should
- 39:25Speaker 12: have kicked the field gold and Baltimore fans feel like
- 39:29Speaker 12: the Ravens didn't play up to the level they should have.
- 39:32Speaker 12: So here's today's discuss question. Have you ever made a
- 39:36Speaker 12: mistake on your job that you wish you could have
- 39:39Speaker 12: done over? In Part two, how do you stop obsessing
- 39:42Speaker 12: over your mistakes?
- 39:43Speaker 10: Overthinking him and stuff. So have you ever made a
- 39:46Speaker 10: mistake at the job?
- 39:47Speaker 2: Let me address these two football games.
- 39:50Speaker 8: Okay, if Detroit had wrong, it wouldn't have been no
- 39:53Speaker 8: problem with it going at a fourth. It would have
- 39:55Speaker 8: been brave, courageous calls. That's how Detroit got there because
- 39:58Speaker 8: they played that way. Uh, it's not that the Baltimore
- 40:02Speaker 8: Ravens didn't play up to their expectations. Have y'all forgot
- 40:06Speaker 8: there was an opposing team that was blitzing. I mean
- 40:09Speaker 8: they blitched Lamar Jackson and nobody made adjustments as a
- 40:14Speaker 8: halftime for that blitz.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Like the coach you mean?
- 40:19Speaker 8: So you know what y'all talking about. The Ravens didn't
- 40:22Speaker 8: play up to their expectations. They had an opponent who played,
- 40:25Speaker 8: who played, had a.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Game plan that was better than you, who played better.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's right there.
- 40:30Speaker 7: Now.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Have I ever made a mistake on my job and
- 40:33Speaker 2: did what's your.
- 40:36Speaker 10: Wish you could have a do over so you could
- 40:37Speaker 10: do it?
- 40:38Speaker 2: Hell no, I don't care nothing.
- 40:39Speaker 1: What really.
- 40:44Speaker 4: So you job and never obsessed?
- 40:47Speaker 1: Try to say it.
- 40:49Speaker 8: Only time I ever messed up on my job and
- 40:51Speaker 8: wish I could do it over again was twenty fifteen.
- 40:56Speaker 2: When I gave that damn crown.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Oh I forgot.
- 41:01Speaker 8: That was only moment And the only thing I would
- 41:04Speaker 8: change about that was looking back on it and all
- 41:09Speaker 8: this it turned out to be wonderful. But looking back
- 41:11Speaker 8: on it that night when they told me not to
- 41:14Speaker 8: go back out there, they said, Steve, where you're going,
- 41:16Speaker 8: I'm gonna go back out here.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Change. They said, we'll fix it in the paper tomorrow.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Oh wow, okay, so you had do that, burned my.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Ass right on back around and made that fix in
- 41:30Speaker 2: the paper.
- 41:32Speaker 12: What about the time, Stephen, We're in Vegas, remember, and
- 41:35Speaker 12: you were interviewing, uh, those two gentlemen, and you fell
- 41:38Speaker 12: asleep and the mic dropped out of your hand. Do
- 41:42Speaker 12: you wish you could do that over? Because we were lying?
- 41:44Speaker 8: Not really, not really surely, Because when I woke up
- 41:49Speaker 8: and them two white dudes were sitting there with them
- 41:51Speaker 8: suits on, I thought they was fed. I thought I
- 41:57Speaker 8: thought there was federal agents because they had a little
- 41:59Speaker 8: suit to work at seears. And when I woke up,
- 42:02Speaker 8: I didn't know who these two white dude was. And
- 42:05Speaker 8: I thought when I realized I wasn't in no trouble,
- 42:07Speaker 8: that was such a relief for me.
- 42:08Speaker 2: I didn't really give it. Damn who that was at that.
- 42:10Speaker 12: Point, or that you had fallen asleep and the mic
- 42:13Speaker 12: fell out of your hand and dropped on the floor.
- 42:15Speaker 8: It was four o'clock in the morning. Ship, I had
- 42:18Speaker 8: been up all night, gimmis, I didn't even.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Go to bed. So when we were at work at
- 42:25Speaker 2: three a m.
- 42:26Speaker 10: Yes, it were.
- 42:27Speaker 8: And then at four here come these two white dudes. Well,
- 42:30Speaker 8: I done had enough of y'all. I'm making a stout.
- 42:35Speaker 8: I set up there, and boy, when I woke up,
- 42:38Speaker 8: all I heard was Mike hit the float. Surely, said Steve.
- 42:43Speaker 8: I woke up and I looked at these two white
- 42:45Speaker 8: dudes and they were just staring at me, and oh stupid.
- 42:50Speaker 10: And you didn't have your shoes.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Crazy. I had shoes because back in the day, I
- 42:57Speaker 2: was wearing the moors and they was they was?
- 42:59Speaker 9: They was.
- 43:02Speaker 2: We had video from back in the day, and we
- 43:04Speaker 2: had all that on video.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:06Speaker 16: What about the time we were in Philly and we
- 43:09Speaker 16: were at a restaurant at dinner. It was a corporate dinner,
- 43:12Speaker 16: I won't say the corporation, and the people were trying
- 43:15Speaker 16: to talk and you were buttering your bread God kept talking.
- 43:18Speaker 16: You kept telling him to be quiet. We'll get to you.
- 43:22Speaker 4: See as the heads see people were.
- 43:25Speaker 15: And he was he was the big boss, he was
- 43:28Speaker 15: the regional and he the black guy directed, you know,
- 43:34Speaker 15: and he kept interrupting this white dude from talking.
- 43:36Speaker 8: And I was trying to save his job and saying,
- 43:38Speaker 8: my man, slow down, I'm buttering, my brast, you're gonna
- 43:43Speaker 8: mess make your job.
- 43:45Speaker 2: You know you could do that over Nah, that was kind.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Of And then we walk in and did you realize?
- 43:53Speaker 4: And then you run to us at y'all bed.
- 43:55Speaker 8: And as soon as y'all, as soon as I saw
- 43:57Speaker 8: y'all walk in, I got him from the table with
- 43:59Speaker 8: over let say with y'all, say, man, y'all ain't gonna
- 44:01Speaker 8: believe what I just see?
- 44:05Speaker 12: All right, boy, Coming up next, we'll hear from the
- 44:09Speaker 12: nephew in today's prank phone call.
- 44:11Speaker 10: Right after this, you're listening.
- 44:15Speaker 12: Morning show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:19Speaker 12: about four minutes after the hour. It's my Strawberry letter
- 44:21Speaker 12: for today and the subject is please get off of me,
- 44:26Speaker 12: Please get off of me.
- 44:28Speaker 10: That is the subject.

- 47:18Speaker 9: floor and I got I got wind of what was
- 47:21Speaker 9: going on on the fourth floor, and I wanted to
- 47:23Speaker 9: see you know, I wanted to I wanted to bring
- 47:26Speaker 9: it to your attention because I think on your floor,
- 47:28Speaker 9: nobody's bringing this to your attention, you know. Okay, So
- 47:32Speaker 9: let me get this straight. You can't tell me your name,
- 47:35Speaker 9: but you work on the floor below me. Do you
- 47:39Speaker 9: know me? I've seen you before, I've seen you before.
- 47:42Speaker 5: Okay, no, no, no, no, no, this is it.
- 47:45Speaker 9: Do you know me? I mean, I don't know you know?
- 47:48Speaker 9: So no? Let mean, let mean okay, so how did
- 47:52Speaker 9: how did you get to so called being the spokesperson

- 48:11Speaker 9: you on the third floor, and now you are coming
- 48:15Speaker 9: to to be my deliverer. So so to speak, I'm
- 48:19Speaker 9: just a guy. I'm just a guy bringing you some news. Man,

- 48:32Speaker 9: flossing at night? Do you floss on a regular basis?
- 48:36Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 48:36Speaker 9: I floss on a regular basis. What's that got to
- 48:38Speaker 9: do with the price of tea in channel? Okay, where's
- 48:41Speaker 9: the last time you've been to the dentist? Man? Who
- 48:44Speaker 9: the hell are you? Let me tell you to be honest,
- 48:47Speaker 9: what you mean? My problem is not really with you.
- 48:49Speaker 9: I'm really upset with the people on the floor. That's
- 48:51Speaker 9: not telling you. But you know why, why ain't you
- 48:54Speaker 9: talking to them? What the problem is, man, is that
- 48:57Speaker 9: it is that they talking about you and not telling
- 49:00Speaker 9: you what your issue is. So let's get to the
- 49:02Speaker 9: issue at hand. So you are flossing. You are flossing,

- 50:26Speaker 9: blow my stink as breath in their face. Bring it off,
- 50:30Speaker 9: because this conversation with you is really way off face
- 50:33Speaker 9: because you have no business calling me telling me. They say,

- 54:02Speaker 12: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm thirty eight years old and I
- 54:05Speaker 12: have a two year old and a two month old.
- 54:07Speaker 12: My husband and I have been married two years and
- 54:10Speaker 12: we've been busy growing our family, but not on purpose.
- 54:14Speaker 12: He has an eighteen year old son and he told
- 54:16Speaker 12: me that having more children wasn't high on his list
- 54:19Speaker 12: of priorities when I met him, But as soon as
- 54:22Speaker 12: we held our first daughter together, he started saying he
- 54:26Speaker 12: wanted another son. Then we had our second daughter two
- 54:30Speaker 12: months ago, and he still mentions wanting another boy. I
- 54:33Speaker 12: have to try to avoid him in the house because
- 54:35Speaker 12: he can't keep his hands to himself. My hair could
- 54:38Speaker 12: be sticking up on my head and I hadn't showered yet,
- 54:42Speaker 12: but he doesn't care. He says, just fine and whatever
- 54:44Speaker 12: condition it's in. I love that I have a break
- 54:48Speaker 12: from sex since the baby was born, but he finds
- 54:50Speaker 12: other ways to annoy me, like massaging my boobies and
- 54:54Speaker 12: giving me body rubs that he gets more pleasure from
- 54:57Speaker 12: than I do. I have to literally push him off,
- 55:00Speaker 12: and he thinks it's a game. We were not supposed
- 55:03Speaker 12: to have babies back to back, but it happened, and
- 55:06Speaker 12: they're a blessing. But why does he want another child?
- 55:10Speaker 12: He's forty and we planned for a child free marriage.
- 55:14Speaker 12: If we aren't careful, we're going to end up with
- 55:16Speaker 12: more babies. I want to keep him off of me,
- 55:19Speaker 12: in the bed, on the sofa, in the shower, and
- 55:22Speaker 12: everywhere else.
- 55:23Speaker 10: I'd hate to push him away. We'll eventually get tired
- 55:26Speaker 10: of sex.
- 55:27Speaker 12: Would it be wrong to take some kind of contraception
- 55:30Speaker 12: without telling him? Yes, it would be wrong, But so
- 55:35Speaker 12: is pressuring you to have another child, especially since you
- 55:38Speaker 12: guys agreed on the exact opposite, not having kids at all.
- 55:43Speaker 12: I know people change, and people this has changed with him,
- 55:47Speaker 12: but you haven't changed. And this is the problem, the
- 55:50Speaker 12: major problem in your marriage, and your marriage won't last
- 55:53Speaker 12: if you're constantly avoiding sex with him and thinking about
- 55:56Speaker 12: deceiving him with using a contraceptive and not telling him
- 56:01Speaker 12: that's nothing but a disaster waiting to happen. You guys
- 56:04Speaker 12: have to get on the same page from the same book.
- 56:07Speaker 12: You gotta talk about this. He's already told you he
- 56:10Speaker 12: wants a son, but you're only running and pushing him away.
- 56:13Speaker 12: Now you say you don't want to push him away,
- 56:16Speaker 12: but that's exactly what you're doing. And you ask, will
- 56:19Speaker 12: he eventually get tired of sex? Well, come on, he's
- 56:22Speaker 12: a man and he's not going to get tired of sex.
- 56:25Speaker 12: But he might get tired of sex with you if
- 56:27Speaker 12: you keep pushing him away. Well, I mean you leave
- 56:31Speaker 12: him with no other choice. I mean if you keep
- 56:33Speaker 12: heading down this path. So you got to stop that.
- 56:36Speaker 12: You got to let him know what's going on with you,
- 56:38Speaker 12: how you really feel. You have to face this issue.
- 56:41Speaker 12: You guys have to deal with this. Children no children?
- 56:45Speaker 1: That is major, Steve, Please get off of me.
- 56:53Speaker 8: We got a problem here. The whole letter is nothing
- 56:55Speaker 8: but a problem. I don't really have a solution for this.
- 56:57Speaker 8: I really don't. You're thirty eight years old. You got
- 56:59Speaker 8: to to your own older than two months old. You
- 57:01Speaker 8: and your husband married two years, and we've been busy
- 57:04Speaker 8: growing our family. But not on purpose. Oh lord, I
- 57:09Speaker 8: can relate to that. Oh, none of my ship.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Was playing.
- 57:19Speaker 8: Somebody just walked in one day and said I'm pregnant.
- 57:23Speaker 8: I'm pregnant, and I had to fixed my face every
- 57:27Speaker 8: damn I had to pull it together. Oh that's not
- 57:36Speaker 8: very convincing, Steve.
- 57:38Speaker 2: I'm pregnant.
- 57:40Speaker 10: Oh, that's terrible.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I try to ever respond.
- 57:51Speaker 4: You don't have any words that's terrible.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Just short words.
- 57:55Speaker 8: That wasn't say what no one time I said in
- 58:09Speaker 8: so I can relate to that now. Now, your husband
- 58:12Speaker 8: got an eighteen year old son, and he told me
- 58:14Speaker 8: to have her more children. Wasn't really howling bucket list.
- 58:17Speaker 8: But then as soon as y'all had the daughter and
- 58:19Speaker 8: y'all held him, he said he wanted another child. And
- 58:21Speaker 8: then y'all tried again, and well, you didn't really try, yes,
- 58:25Speaker 8: And then they had this one that she was born.
- 58:27Speaker 8: He was another girl now, and then second daughter two
- 58:32Speaker 8: months ago was born, and he's still mentioned that he
- 58:35Speaker 8: wants another boy. I gotta try to avoid him in
- 58:38Speaker 8: the house because he can't keep his hands to himself.
- 58:41Speaker 8: My hair could be sticking up on my head. I
- 58:42Speaker 8: ain't shower at you, but he don't care. He says
- 58:44Speaker 8: it's fine, whatever condition is in. I could take that
- 58:48Speaker 8: to the next level, but I won't keep the driving
- 58:52Speaker 8: their kids up to school, So I'm gonna just leave
- 58:55Speaker 8: that with no. I will read that line again, though,
- 58:57Speaker 8: because I want you to think about that. I hadn't
- 59:00Speaker 8: showered yet. He doesn't care. He says, it's just fine
- 59:05Speaker 8: in whatever condition is in. That's a little scary to
- 59:10Speaker 8: me that you have gotten yourself in a condition and
- 59:15Speaker 8: I'm just gonna now we need to do something to get.
- 59:19Speaker 2: It out of that condition. I would wait until it
- 59:21Speaker 2: wasn't in that condition no more. That's just me. But
- 59:23Speaker 2: he ain't that way. Uh, it's uh. I love it.
- 59:30Speaker 8: I love that you gotta break from sex because the
- 59:32Speaker 8: baby was born. But he finds other ways to annoy me,
- 59:35Speaker 8: like giving me body rubs. That he gets more pleasure
- 59:37Speaker 8: from him than I do. And I know why that
- 59:39Speaker 8: is because when he rubbed in your body, it's really
- 59:41Speaker 8: not for you. It's him when you can hear him
- 59:44Speaker 8: back there. Yeah, yeah, oh girl, come on now yeah
- 59:59Speaker 8: see now he back there. Your body massage is not
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: for you. And we'll get into the rest of this
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: letter that I don't care about right after that.
- 1:00:08Speaker 10: Okay, I care about this. She needs help part Steve.
- 1:00:14Speaker 12: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:17Speaker 12: twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: The subject is, please get off of me. Right after this.
- 1:00:23Speaker 10: You're listening.
- 1:00:25Speaker 12: Morning show, All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:00:28Speaker 12: Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:29Speaker 10: The subject, please get off of me for me.
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: Yeah, uh, you know, this letter really is nothing I
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: can say. This woman is married, they got two kids.
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: They talked about not having kids, but now they have them.
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: And now she's enjoying the break of not having said
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: because he can't keep his hands off of us. He
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: don't care what condition is he that's scary. But now
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: she's had this second baby that's two months old. She's
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: taking a break from sex, but he does other things
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: to know her, like body rubs and massages that he
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: gets more pleasure out of than she does. You have
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: to literally push him off me, and he thinks it's
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: a game. We're not supposed to have babies back to
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: back to back, but it's happened and they're blessing. But
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: why does he want another child? Well, quite naturally because
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: he don't have to carry him, so he don't know
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: what come with that. It's easy, you know. You know
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: some men think we just less order a baby. Well
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: that's a lot on a woman. I've never seen a
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: pregnancy that wasn't that didn't require a lot from a woman.
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure women handle it differently, but I'm just
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: saying I've never seen a pregnancy that didn't require a
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: lot from a woman. It's a major change in your body,
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: and it's a major change in lifestyle. It hormones everything,
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: so it's a lot. You know, he's forty and playing
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: the child free man sit. We're not careful, we're gonna
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: end up with more babies.
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: I want to keep him off of me, in the bed,
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: on the sofa, in the shower, everywhere. I hate to
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: push him away. Well, he eventually get tired of sex,
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: not in this life.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Not in this life.
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: I can answer that for you, And he eventually get
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: tired of sick. He'll get tired of sex tonight, but
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: he'll be back tomorrow. Fuh, we get tired of sex
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: this evening, But we ain't really tie the sex.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Then we just tied. Ain't nobody tied of sex?
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: We just tied.
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: Would it be wrong to take some kind of contraception
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: without telling him? I don't think it would be. You
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: don't want any more kids, it's up to you. See
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: it should be a woman's decision because nobody has to
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: carry the baby.
- 1:02:50Speaker 9: But you.
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: Now you want to avoid him because you don't want
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: another baby. Maybe y'all need to practice some type of
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: contraceptive measure. Would it be wrong to take a intercession
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: without telling him? Not really, because if you don't want
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: to have a baby, I mean hello, If the maker
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: the manufacturer don't want to make pin toes no more,
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: guess what. Ford quit making pin toes because they didn't
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: want to make them no more. Ford stopped making escorts
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: because the maker and your manufacturer decided that.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: You all them.
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: People like here, Man, I love pin toes. Man, I
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: was gonna I have bought another escort. Yeah, you don't
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: make them. No, you see where I'm going. So if
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: the woman don't want to make and manufacture another child,
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: I think that's in the hands of the maker and
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: the manufacturer.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: That's what I think.
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: So you know, I say, yeah, you should take something
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: because he ain't gonna keep his hands on there. You
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: don't want to push him away, have at it. The
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: ain't nothing fit to happen though. But you know, other
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: than that, for.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Those of you out there, come over, Steve, you loan
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: for that whatever. No, no, anybody wrote you Strawberry, let
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: us Shirley Strawberry, Steve Hawk. That's that's what they do.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: And if you don't like my advice or the angle
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I'm taking. I understand this. This is my opinion. Can
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: you free to have your opinion.
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: I don't think a woman should take cont yourception and
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: not tell her hud, Okay, what tennant?
- 1:04:25Speaker 12: Yeah, that's what I was gonna say, Steve. What She
- 1:04:28Speaker 12: doesn't want her husband to know she's taking him, so
- 1:04:30Speaker 12: she tells her. He asks her, you know, are you
- 1:04:35Speaker 12: taking contraceptions? Are you in some sort of birth control?
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:04:39Speaker 10: Yeah, yes, you want her to tell.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: The take it?
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: Yes, take you one while talking to you, Push one
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: off the back of that pet, and pop it in
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: your mouth.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Don't even swallow, chew it.
- 1:04:56Speaker 10: But she says, she asks should she take it and
- 1:04:59Speaker 10: not tell him?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I say, yeah, uh huh, you don't.
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: Think she should. If he asked her, she should, like,
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: that's what.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: No, just going to tell me or you can tell it.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: I don't want any more children. I don't want to
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: go through that anymore.
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: I'm tired and just boom and that's it, and I'm
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: gonna take some cont Guess what he's gonna do. Guess
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: what he's gonna He gonna keep on the hairdset. He's
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: not gonna say, Well, if you're gonna take except we
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: have sex no more? Who finnsh say that?
- 1:05:31Speaker 12: Not in this life?
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: Pretty much couldn't tell me nothing, no reason would make
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: me want to not want it.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Really, I can't think of nothing. I've heard everything.
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: Yeah, they need to have a different time.
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: I mean, you know it's it's it's not the right time.
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: Well but it's eight now, but yeah, I've tried to
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: put a time on it. It's not the right time.

- 1:07:03Speaker 2: past Cleveland.
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: He's gonna be fair, he said, Tommy, I've had a
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: lot of practices getting past Cleveland.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I ain't had to get passed Detroit before.
- 1:07:18Speaker 13: You can't put the clothes on.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:20Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: He talked about who I knew was gonna be on
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: camera at that Super Bowl. Y'all don't even know this
- 1:07:26Speaker 8: who I went to the game with, Judge Strong, Okay,
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: Greg Maths, me good Group, and Biggie Wig. That's what
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: would Biggie Wig have had on.
- 1:07:44Speaker 10: That's the one.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: The whole coogie outfit, my boy, big.
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: Big hat on, the coogie sweater, coogie warm up pants,
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: and you come back and make him in sweatpants and
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: the koogie skull Capji first came out, Yeah.
- 1:08:04Speaker 9: Cou.
- 1:08:06Speaker 11: Yeah, Okay, it's ken seem it is really a black
- 1:08:10Speaker 11: super Bowl at this point, which it's not saying it's
- 1:08:13Speaker 11: that same.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: No, it would have been black if it was Ravens
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: in Detroit.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: You mean quarterback Wise, No, just Jame Wise black.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: It's not black.
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: But see, you gotta understand the NFL is seventy five
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: percent black. Okay, if you have more than ten percent
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: white people on either side of the ball, yeah, you're
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: not in the playoffs.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Everybody at the homewark, Hello, you ain't winning, you don't.
- 1:08:45Speaker 9: You know.
- 1:08:47Speaker 8: I heard a white lady at one time talking about
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: her college team. She said, we need more black kids. Yeah,
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: with that little white team out there. If you want to,
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: let me tell you. So, you got a football team,
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: and you got two white cornerbacks, we finished seventy points.
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: We finished seventy damn points. If you got two white
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: quarterback well, Patrick.
- 1:09:15Speaker 16: Mahons, the black quarterback, you gotta play back again.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: And you ain't off white cornerback.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: Oh, you're saying corner long.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Jason, Jason sea Horn.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: The last I saw long time.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: You're saying corner I got you cornerback safety.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not cornerback.
- 1:09:39Speaker 10: Oh hell no, all right, thank you, Junior.
