- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like amzing buck things. And it's not good.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve Hartley, I don't join jo. You gotta turn, you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn love, got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out. Then turn the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your thing. I shall a good minding. Everybody. You're
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on, dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only. Steve Harvey, I got a radio show, just
- 2:13Speaker 1: trying to give God some back, just some back of
- 2:18Speaker 1: what even gave me, just a portion, you know. Just
- 2:22Speaker 1: I'm just trying, man to to show some type of
- 2:26Speaker 1: gratitude for all his blessings. I'm just trying to, man,
- 2:32Speaker 1: just just get it right sometimes, you know what I mean.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I mean, man, you just can't do what you want
- 2:38Speaker 1: to do and just live wrong all the time. Man,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you got it at one point in time, Steve, come home. Man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: come on, man, you could do better. I know you can,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you know saying and you know what I had to do.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I had to stop saying I'm gonna try to do better,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going
- 2:55Speaker 1: to do better. You know, trying it's just to put
- 2:59Speaker 1: forth an f and then if it don't work, well okay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind and I'm
- 3:03Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:08Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. Sin It's
- 3:10Speaker 1: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:13Speaker 1: win the game, or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:15Speaker 1: win the game. Now, trying to win the game means
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you could lose. But when you got in your
- 3:21Speaker 1: mind made up, most athletes will tell you that they
- 3:24Speaker 1: go out there with the full intent and purpose of
- 3:27Speaker 1: winning and winning only see they don't put the second
- 3:31Speaker 1: place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: get you there. You got to win. And now take
- 3:38Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:40Speaker 1: in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you just want to you want to win in life,
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't you. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 3:47Speaker 1: don't you want to be on the cover of Sports
- 3:49Speaker 1: Illustrated the life. Don't you want to be recognized for
- 3:52Speaker 1: your hard work? Don't you want, you know, to be
- 3:56Speaker 1: recognized within the bonus structure down at your job. Don't
- 3:59Speaker 1: you want to have your plaque up on the wall
- 4:02Speaker 1: down at your job? I mean most people do. Some
- 4:04Speaker 1: people could care less. Some people don't care about looking
- 4:07Speaker 1: good or being their best. And that's cool. But I
- 4:08Speaker 1: ain't talking to them though. I'm talking to you. I'm
- 4:11Speaker 1: talking to those of you who want to be the
- 4:14Speaker 1: best you can be. You know, people kill me when
- 4:17Speaker 1: they're getting mad at at people here and he Brown
- 4:20Speaker 1: knows and he hall up on an employee of them.
- 4:22Speaker 1: All man, the dude doing his job to the best
- 4:24Speaker 1: of his ability, and he getting recognized for it. What
- 4:27Speaker 1: they got to do? It? All that you're talking about
- 4:28Speaker 1: because you ain't up there. It's amazing, man, how people
- 4:31Speaker 1: describe other people's success. He's so lucky, lucky? Hey man,
- 4:36Speaker 1: don't they kind of get you a little bit when
- 4:37Speaker 1: people call you lucky? When let me tell you what
- 4:40Speaker 1: luck really is, y'all. Luck is when hard work bumps
- 4:44Speaker 1: up into opportunity. Some people call that luck. But hold on,
- 4:48Speaker 1: let's think about this. If you wasn't working hard, an
- 4:52Speaker 1: opportunity presented itself, what would you call that? But see,
- 4:56Speaker 1: when you've been working hard, an opportunity presents itself and
- 4:59Speaker 1: it bumps up in each each other. Now people want
- 5:01Speaker 1: to call that luck, but hold up here, go to
- 5:03Speaker 1: part though to day, ain't paying no attention to Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: that opportunity came by, But if you had not been
- 5:07Speaker 1: working hard and the hard work had not ran up
- 5:10Speaker 1: in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir, it's
- 5:13Speaker 1: not luck, it's work. It is work because as a
- 5:16Speaker 1: scripture that says, faith without works is dead. But my
- 5:21Speaker 1: mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough. Though.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Now I know different between right and wrong, just like
- 5:26Speaker 1: you do. You ain't gotta you know, excuse me when
- 5:30Speaker 1: people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong for this?
- 5:32Speaker 1: You know? Good? Well, look at let's read your letter?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Are you wrong for this? You know? You're wrong? What
- 5:37Speaker 1: you don't need? That's to be telling, you know? But
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this anyway. Well e see, go ahead, though,
- 5:42Speaker 1: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:45Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. This is
- 5:47Speaker 1: what I really came to talk about this morning, but
- 5:50Speaker 1: I got sidetrack because I listened. Get out of your
- 5:54Speaker 1: own way. So many of us are blocking our home.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Blessings were just in our own own way. We are
- 6:01Speaker 1: in our own way, And one of the most dangerous
- 6:05Speaker 1: ways you can get in your way is to do
- 6:08Speaker 1: it your way, to get it figured your way, and
- 6:12Speaker 1: to lock in on your way and just the way
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's got to go. Do you know how many people
- 6:17Speaker 1: are blocking a blessing? Do you know how long I
- 6:19Speaker 1: blocked mine? With that mindset? Right there? Look, because it's
- 6:24Speaker 1: the way you do it, do you think that makes
- 6:26Speaker 1: it the right way? You think jazz, because you'dn't thought
- 6:29Speaker 1: on it long and hard, and that's what you really want.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Do you really think that your way is the right
- 6:34Speaker 1: way or could that be a better way? See? Until
- 6:37Speaker 1: I started listening to God and started paying attention to
- 6:40Speaker 1: his way, man, I was spending my wheels. Man, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: was out here so determined this how I was going
- 6:46Speaker 1: to do it. But you know I had to learn
- 6:48Speaker 1: how to get out of my own way because just
- 6:50Speaker 1: because I could do it my way didn't mean it
- 6:53Speaker 1: was the right way. I had to get out of
- 6:56Speaker 1: my own way. Just get out your way, man, Now,
- 7:02Speaker 1: what what does that mean? That means, see, set your goals,
- 7:09Speaker 1: That means have your dreams, that I'm saying, set your goals. Man,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I ain't saying don't set goals. Listen to me. Set
- 7:16Speaker 1: your goals. What is it you want to happen? What
- 7:19Speaker 1: is it you like to have, What is it you
- 7:21Speaker 1: like to be? What are you aspire to? Set your
- 7:24Speaker 1: goals and set your dreams. Now take your goals and
- 7:29Speaker 1: your dreams to God and ask God to show you how. Man,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you can save yourself a lot of pain. Listen to
- 7:38Speaker 1: somebody who did it his way for so long. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: when I finally got out of my way, out of
- 7:45Speaker 1: my own way. When you've heard old people say, let
- 7:48Speaker 1: go and let God, you've heard them say that I didn't.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I didn't get it, but I got it. Now let
- 7:55Speaker 1: go and let God. And it's amazing little saying. Though
- 7:58Speaker 1: now you know you may not get it now. It
- 8:00Speaker 1: took me a bunch of years to get it too.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But when I took my goals and my dreams and
- 8:06Speaker 1: my vision to God and I said, God, this is
- 8:09Speaker 1: what I hope for, this is what I aspired to,
- 8:11Speaker 1: this is what I want to be, this is why
- 8:12Speaker 1: I would love to get to. Then I said, help
- 8:16Speaker 1: me show me how. Point me in the right direction.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Let me. Follow your footsteps, guide me, and give me
- 8:24Speaker 1: a spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I
- 8:27Speaker 1: meet people every day. Ain't up to no good with
- 8:29Speaker 1: me every single day. Oh man, man, I can't believe
- 8:34Speaker 1: I run up into you. Man, the Lord told me
- 8:36Speaker 1: something's gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked
- 8:39Speaker 1: to him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 8:43Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 8:45Speaker 1: what was gonna happen. In mind. Now I don't mean
- 8:46Speaker 1: it can't happen because I'm open to it. So really, man,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm and and please know I'm listening to it as
- 8:53Speaker 1: well as I've ever listened before. But but get yourself together, though,
- 8:58Speaker 1: see no, your goals and your dreams, and then let
- 9:00Speaker 1: God show you how to do it. He'll do it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know. It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 9:07Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of something,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 9:13Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, Man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose. You
- 9:21Speaker 1: ain't got to go down there and make no big
- 9:23Speaker 1: scene and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:26Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:29Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in the air. You ain't
- 9:31Speaker 1: got to do that. This you and God, man, This
- 9:33Speaker 1: you and God. You know you got to serve and
- 9:36Speaker 1: praise him the way you do it. You gotta let
- 9:38Speaker 1: nobody else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship.
- 9:41Speaker 1: People kill me if you don't do it this way.
- 9:43Speaker 1: If you don't come here to this church and you
- 9:45Speaker 1: don't run around in this circle and you don't get
- 9:47Speaker 1: flipped in the air, you don't, Hey man, you better
- 9:49Speaker 1: go have a relationship with God. See what that's about.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You understand? Nobody throw you off with all that? All right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: all right, y'all talk to him. He loved to hear
- 9:56Speaker 1: from you today. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. We are
- 10:03Speaker 1: here on this Uh it's a Tuesday morning, but it
- 10:08Speaker 1: really it feels like a Monday morning because we had
- 10:11Speaker 1: the Monday morning we was off, but now we own.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm so confused, but at least we're here blessed in
- 10:20Speaker 1: highly favored ladies and gentlemen to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 10:24Speaker 1: on and cracking Shirley Straw dead. Hey, good morning, Steve Harvey,

- 10:58Speaker 1: huh very traditional. Did your cook or you had a shot?
- 11:05Speaker 1: I did both and you had a shot. Well I
- 11:08Speaker 1: didn't really have a show, just I didn't do all
- 11:12Speaker 1: the cookies. Oh yeah, so yeah that was good and
- 11:18Speaker 1: it was it was you know, I mean, it was
- 11:20Speaker 1: a good day yesterday. Enjoy my day off, my time off,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and uh, you know, be relaxing this week and get
- 11:27Speaker 1: on back to the hustle. So you're well arrested. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I'm well arrested. Uh, you know, trying to get a
- 11:36Speaker 1: little bit more rest arrested. Oh, it's gonna be ignod.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So you can come on start asking. I want I
- 11:46Speaker 1: want you to embarrass me. Okay, today, all right, I'll
- 11:51Speaker 1: start with the CLO today. You know, whatever that question
- 11:57Speaker 1: is in, I'm gonna get one embarrassing answer. One junior,
- 12:03Speaker 1: what'd you do over the what would you do? Well?
- 12:06Speaker 1: My nephew graduated over the weekends, so I had to
- 12:08Speaker 1: fly to Houston Sports graduation. Even the way I found out,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I ain't a favorite. No, so oh yeah, welcome to
- 12:15Speaker 1: the club. Yeah, high you get up on the ladder,
- 12:18Speaker 1: the less favorite you will become. To mope. Yeah, yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 1: which is a blessing than we have to do that? No, no,
- 12:28Speaker 1: it's it's a blessing, Julie. I don't care when I become.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Don't become your favorite. Good. Don't ask your favorite for nothing.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Oh that's what it's gonna be like. Naw, Yeah, you
- 12:39Speaker 1: gotta take advantage of that dog. Yeah I had to.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You ain't had to put his whole name in the
- 12:44Speaker 1: yard with all the balloons. But all that stuff didn't
- 12:47Speaker 1: have to be there for his graduation. Yeah. I had
- 12:51Speaker 1: a plate of food when I got for That's all
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm saying. Did nobody say thank you for the stuff
- 12:57Speaker 1: I paid? But that's not right, though, You're right, don't
- 13:00Speaker 1: ask your favorite, no a little bit of the Yeah, yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 1: tom Oh, you have to go take a knee at
- 13:08Speaker 1: the alter they erected for him, and there every picture
- 13:10Speaker 1: from a baby to graduation. They had it up, had
- 13:17Speaker 1: any everything. They had an ultrasound picture of sham shape.
- 13:30Speaker 1: All Right, you're in your calm down. Okay, you're really
- 13:34Speaker 1: upset about that. All right, we'll get into the asked
- 13:38Speaker 1: the cello Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building,
- 13:41Speaker 1: right you're listening to all right, guys, it's time now
- 13:49Speaker 1: for ask the clo Uh. This one is from Anonymous
- 13:54Speaker 1: in Atlanta, Okay. Anonymous writes, I'm in a very freaky
- 13:59Speaker 1: situation and with my man and his twin brother. His
- 14:02Speaker 1: twin brother is his roommate, and I spent a lot
- 14:06Speaker 1: of time at their house. One night, we were having
- 14:09Speaker 1: SAX and his twin walked in naked and asked him
- 14:12Speaker 1: to join us. I did them both, or rather they
- 14:15Speaker 1: did me, and it was the best sexual experience I've
- 14:19Speaker 1: ever had. My boyfriend told me he likes watching me
- 14:21Speaker 1: and his twin brother together. We've done it a few
- 14:24Speaker 1: more times, and each time it is better than before.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Do you think they play this game with other women?
- 14:29Speaker 1: What different with me? They played it with you? You played?
- 14:34Speaker 1: The question is have you played this game before? That's
- 14:38Speaker 1: the bigger question, you know. Well see, I'm trying to
- 14:42Speaker 1: figure out what why? Why? That's a question? Right? Each
- 14:47Speaker 1: time is better than the time before. Have they done
- 14:50Speaker 1: this before? The heir you faith, Yeah, but we already
- 14:56Speaker 1: know the answer. Have you done this before? Yes, several time.
- 15:01Speaker 1: What do you want from me? Yes, they've done it before,
- 15:06Speaker 1: but they've never got nobody to do it that many times.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Sept you congratulations. Yeah. I thought she was gonna say
- 15:17Speaker 1: she mistook one twin for the other, something like yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 1: now out there this one. Now he came in nicking
- 15:26Speaker 1: an ass could she join? So they both did me?
- 15:29Speaker 1: No weight? I did both of him? Right, Okay? All right? Anonymous?
- 15:37Speaker 1: No wonder she's anonymous in Atlanta? All right, India and tech.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Sarcana says, I'm a thirty year old married woman and
- 15:45Speaker 1: I have gained a little weight since I got married
- 15:47Speaker 1: four years ago. My husband encouraged me to take better
- 15:50Speaker 1: care of myself and lose the weight. I appreciated its
- 15:53Speaker 1: pep talk, and I started a diet and I started
- 15:56Speaker 1: doing cardio. At the same time. He started going out
- 15:59Speaker 1: all day on Saturday and Sunday and his phone would
- 16:04Speaker 1: be off. He says, he's playing golf and he can't
- 16:06Speaker 1: use his phone in the clubhouse. Did he tell me
- 16:09Speaker 1: I was fat to justify him cheating on me, the
- 16:12Speaker 1: stress is making me eat more. A weird fit to
- 16:17Speaker 1: fix this problem? Then it is, we see, so says
- 16:23Speaker 1: he to blame. Now see if he going to play golf,
- 16:27Speaker 1: there are clubhouses where you can't use the phone, but
- 16:31Speaker 1: go outside. He owned the golf course. The majority of
- 16:35Speaker 1: that time, the four and the four hours, is on
- 16:37Speaker 1: the golf course. Yea. So if he's telling you he
- 16:42Speaker 1: can't use it in the golf club, that could be true.
- 16:47Speaker 1: But on the golf course you can use your phone.
- 16:49Speaker 1: He told you what he wants. He gave you the
- 16:53Speaker 1: pep talk on it, and you're working on it, and
- 16:56Speaker 1: I understand it. This ain't about your weight, but to
- 17:00Speaker 1: him it is. He didn't gain it down pep talk
- 17:06Speaker 1: and obviously, and now the stress is making you eat more.
- 17:10Speaker 1: So when he do come home Sunday evening, guess what
- 17:15Speaker 1: you bigger than you was when he left. No, I'm
- 17:21Speaker 1: just telling you so this ain't me talking. I'm just
- 17:23Speaker 1: telling you how he how he doing it in his mind.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So now what you you know he wronged for what
- 17:30Speaker 1: he's doing if he's cheating. But ain't nobody playing golf
- 17:34Speaker 1: all damn day can't use day phone? I can't say
- 17:37Speaker 1: that to my wife. I can't on sadday all Sunday,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and I can me and Tommy can probably tell you
- 17:44Speaker 1: that he don't play that game. Good now, the next
- 17:54Speaker 1: wood better not? Who are you married to? All right?
- 18:03Speaker 1: Moving on, Phoenix in the Bronx writes, I'm in my
- 18:06Speaker 1: mid forties and I'm dating a man that's thirty four
- 18:08Speaker 1: years old. I think he's my soul mate, and we
- 18:11Speaker 1: don't see the age thing as an issue. What I
- 18:14Speaker 1: do see is an issue is how he treats my dog.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I have a Chihuahua that weighs four and a half pounds,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and he does not like to be around the dog.
- 18:22Speaker 1: If I'm out for a while, he won't even walk
- 18:24Speaker 1: the dog so he can go potty. I've had my
- 18:27Speaker 1: dog for eight years, so she is like my child.
- 18:30Speaker 1: She can sense that he doesn't like her, so she'll
- 18:32Speaker 1: stay in her crate while he's around. When he's around,
- 18:35Speaker 1: is this a sign he's not the one? He'll no
- 18:39Speaker 1: get your damn dog. He ain't got to like your dog.
- 18:44Speaker 1: He dating your dog? He dating you, and nothing to
- 18:47Speaker 1: say he got to like your damn dog. Now he's
- 18:50Speaker 1: stay in the crate because he knows the man don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: like it, Well, let's go and don't know, man, I'm
- 18:54Speaker 1: not walking a little punk as chihuahua. Ain't. Ain't nobody
- 19:01Speaker 1: fit to see me outside with no chain and no leash.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And then a little bit of ass dog, the big
- 19:07Speaker 1: bull ass as. I don't even like chiahas. No damn
- 19:10Speaker 1: w Debrah Simon had a chiaha. Debrah Simon, girl I
- 19:17Speaker 1: liked in the ninth grade. She had a chiaha. Went
- 19:20Speaker 1: over there and he bit me on the ankle and
- 19:22Speaker 1: he ran and I was wearing them uh uh thicking thins. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: you know them silk socks with the pin stripes. And
- 19:31Speaker 1: he got his little teeth on one of the pin
- 19:33Speaker 1: stripes and pulling and unraveled my whole damn socks. When
- 19:36Speaker 1: the problem is then what my damn socks? Then was
- 19:39Speaker 1: my damn brother socks? Oh my god, Oh I got that.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I got, I got the hell beat out. O. Don't
- 19:49Speaker 1: don't shelly, we pokey side. Then you ain't got my
- 19:57Speaker 1: ass pooked over some marbles. I got, man and put
- 20:00Speaker 1: on some socks. I don't got my an foot from
- 20:03Speaker 1: standing on miss pain grass and miss pains and the sun.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I didn't withoop my hands I got because my football
- 20:12Speaker 1: went on Miss Jackson's yard and I ran up in there.
- 20:14Speaker 1: If Floyd Jackson came out of whoop my anks form

- 28:57Speaker 1: I can't move from bring up at the top of
- 29:00Speaker 1: the hour, Entertainment and National news. Right after this, you're
- 29:04Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, So
- 29:10Speaker 1: we have to address this. Carla Guys. Monique posted about
- 29:15Speaker 1: our sisters. She did this long post, this heartfelt post
- 29:18Speaker 1: to our sisters, to women who were wearing bonnets in public.
- 29:24Speaker 1: We have been seeing them more and more, just you know, everywhere,
- 29:27Speaker 1: at the airport of Chorus, at the Grossery store, just everywhere,
- 29:30Speaker 1: women in bonnets. What is that about. It's like, you know,
- 29:34Speaker 1: they're making some sort of fashion statement now with these
- 29:38Speaker 1: bonnets on their heads. I remember Plies spoke on it,
- 29:41Speaker 1: Dion Cole spoke on it. Now Monique spoke on it.
- 29:44Speaker 1: It's really trending all over because it was really heartfelt.
- 29:48Speaker 1: She's saying, you know, have some pride in the way
- 29:51Speaker 1: you come out of the house. I remember growing up.
- 29:53Speaker 1: We couldn't go outside. We couldn't do that. Nothing that
- 29:58Speaker 1: belonged in the house, like rollers, your head, robe, couldn't
- 30:06Speaker 1: we can I say something, Yeah, I'm with you when
- 30:10Speaker 1: you write yeah. Now, Monique, what she said, I couldn't
- 30:17Speaker 1: find a single thing wrong with what she said and
- 30:20Speaker 1: the way she phrased it, And she was actually doing
- 30:23Speaker 1: it from a standpoint of love, and that sister really
- 30:26Speaker 1: did talk about it from the standpoint of just trying
- 30:30Speaker 1: to point out a few things. The backlash that she
- 30:33Speaker 1: has gotten for that comment. I was just reading some
- 30:37Speaker 1: of the comments. It didn't make no sense, man, how
- 30:40Speaker 1: people One woman said, I lost my sister and the
- 30:44Speaker 1: best I could do with it I couldn't even comb
- 30:46Speaker 1: my hair and I was going through it. Wa anybody
- 30:50Speaker 1: talking about that. Where you're going with this? Hell? Yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: Monique didn't say nothing about no. If you're going through
- 30:57Speaker 1: some things we was talking about. She was talking about
- 31:00Speaker 1: how young sisters. She was just trying to give a message.
- 31:02Speaker 1: If y'all ever called me Auntie I'm just asking y'all
- 31:06Speaker 1: to just think about this, and I'm saying this with Look,
- 31:08Speaker 1: she did it the right way and she got a
- 31:11Speaker 1: lot of support as well, Steve with saying that. And Carl,
- 31:15Speaker 1: you just spend the weekend with your in laws, right,
- 31:18Speaker 1: and you're at the airport. You saw it Birmingham, and
- 31:21Speaker 1: and I changed planes in Atlanta and I saw a
- 31:24Speaker 1: lot of women in the Atlanta airport rocking the bonnets
- 31:28Speaker 1: and the house shoes and about it. Well, now there's
- 31:35Speaker 1: the fuzzy shoes that a lot of women that are
- 31:39Speaker 1: statement that a lot of women are wearing. So it's
- 31:44Speaker 1: a look. But at the same time, I was just
- 31:47Speaker 1: raised that you couldn't come out like that. You hadn't
- 31:51Speaker 1: have a certain look. You had to comb your hair,
- 31:53Speaker 1: you couldn't wear scar from bonnet and rolling. Right, That's
- 31:57Speaker 1: how I was raised. So that's me about it that
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm like Hume and what we've taught our daughters and
- 32:05Speaker 1: what we taught our daughters. Yeah, yeah, but for some reason, yeah,
- 32:14Speaker 1: I see the box is going on right now. Everybody
- 32:16Speaker 1: got warm. I didn't know, but you know, the comments
- 32:21Speaker 1: about how planes are uncomfortable, and I do my hair
- 32:26Speaker 1: when I get there, when you get there, it's just,
- 32:28Speaker 1: you know, it's almost like, you know, you can't even
- 32:32Speaker 1: say anything to this younger generation without being attacked, and
- 32:37Speaker 1: so it kind of causes you to go, wait a minute, man,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I ain't gonna say nothing. But then when you do,
- 32:42Speaker 1: try to say it in a loving way like she did,
- 32:45Speaker 1: and in a way just to give you a pause
- 32:47Speaker 1: for thinking about something. It the haters, they just come
- 32:52Speaker 1: so fierce with it, and it really don't make no
- 32:55Speaker 1: sense for for for a person to be in public
- 32:59Speaker 1: looking at any kind of way is not in your
- 33:01Speaker 1: best interest. But you know, you can't tell them nothing now.
- 33:04Speaker 1: And we all have the same kind of hair. So
- 33:06Speaker 1: what's going on all right, Steve, Time now to get
- 33:10Speaker 1: to our headlines for ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne trip,
- 33:13Speaker 1: thank you, thank you very much, And here's the news.
- 33:15Speaker 1: President Biden's schedule to travel at Tulsa, Oklahoma, today, as
- 33:18Speaker 1: that city commemorates the one hundredth anniversary of what would
- 33:21Speaker 1: have been the second day of the nineteen twenty one
- 33:23Speaker 1: massacre in Greenwood, the wealthiest black community in the country
- 33:26Speaker 1: at that time. The violence erupted after false reports that
- 33:29Speaker 1: a black man had supposedly assaulted some white woman, and
- 33:32Speaker 1: that was all the racist, jealous white Bob needed. There
- 33:34Speaker 1: were rumors of a lynching, and an estimated three hundred men,
- 33:38Speaker 1: women and children were murdered by bigots who looted black
- 33:41Speaker 1: owned stores and looted black homes before burning them down.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Over twelve hundred homes and some two hundred African American
- 33:47Speaker 1: businesses destroyed. Ten thousand Black people left homeless in what
- 33:50Speaker 1: was called Black Wall Street, a forty square block area
- 33:54Speaker 1: turned to cinder. One of the survivors, one hundred seven
- 33:57Speaker 1: year old Viola Fletcher, who testified last week before the
- 33:59Speaker 1: cong I'm here seeking justice. I still see black men
- 34:04Speaker 1: sin being shot, black bodies line in the street, I
- 34:08Speaker 1: still smell smoke and see far I still see black
- 34:14Speaker 1: businesses being burned. I still hear aeroplanes flying overhead. I
- 34:19Speaker 1: hear the screams have lived through the Maska every day.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Country may forget this history, but I cannot. Yeah, the
- 34:28Speaker 1: local city council sent up airplanes to bomb Black Wall Street.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Also that was a sea council. There. A centennial commission
- 34:35Speaker 1: chaired by a Democrat state center Kevin Matthews, reportedly raised
- 34:38Speaker 1: some thirty million dollars for yesterday's and today's event. However,
- 34:42Speaker 1: celebrities like John Legend and voting rights activist Stacy Abrams
- 34:45Speaker 1: pulled out after the Commission failed to address requests that
- 34:48Speaker 1: it used some of that money to compensate the survivors
- 34:51Speaker 1: and descendants of what they lost in the rampage. Nevertheless,
- 34:54Speaker 1: visitors from around the world did come to Tulsa over
- 34:57Speaker 1: the weekend for speeches and concerts and museum, and among
- 35:00Speaker 1: them the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Congressional Democrats Sheila Jackson Lee
- 35:04Speaker 1: of Texas, James Clyburn of South Carolina. Later today a
- 35:08Speaker 1: President Biden's to meet with the survivors, and part of
- 35:11Speaker 1: the town thought to have been used as a mass grave,
- 35:13Speaker 1: is to be excavated. Meanwhile, President Biden paid a Memorial
- 35:17Speaker 1: Day tribute yesterday to this country's fallen. Here was at Arlington.
- 35:20Speaker 1: He evoked the memory of his late beloved son bow
- 35:23Speaker 1: who served in Iraq and who died of brain cancer
- 35:25Speaker 1: exactly six years ago yesterday. And I have some idea
- 35:29Speaker 1: how you're feeling. Our losses are not the same. But
- 35:33Speaker 1: that black hole you feel in your chest as it's
- 35:36Speaker 1: gonna suck you into it. We get I know the
- 35:41Speaker 1: incredible pride you felt, Senior, the loved one, where the
- 35:44Speaker 1: uniform of our country and the pride they fell wherein it?
- 35:49Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to. Show.
- 35:55Speaker 1: On May thirty first, nineteen twenty one, Tulsa, Oklahoma, was
- 35:59Speaker 1: the sight of a horrific massacre. A group of white
- 36:03Speaker 1: racists pounced on Tulsa's prosperous black enclave of Greenwood, burning, looting,
- 36:09Speaker 1: and killing many Blacks while destroying thirty five thirty five
- 36:15Speaker 1: city blocks. This year marks the one hundredth anniversary of
- 36:19Speaker 1: these horrific attacks. Yesterday, President Joe Biden released a proclamation
- 36:24Speaker 1: for a Day of Remembrance for the nineteen twenty one
- 36:28Speaker 1: Tulsa race massacre, calling on Americans to reflect on the
- 36:32Speaker 1: deep roots of racial terror in our nation and recommit
- 36:36Speaker 1: to the work of rooting out systemic racism across our country.
- 36:41Speaker 1: See the problem we have is I was watching Fox
- 36:45Speaker 1: the other night and there was a guy on there
- 36:47Speaker 1: who has this low, raggedy ass show, and his whole
- 36:50Speaker 1: thing is our country is becoming a Marxist country, and
- 36:55Speaker 1: that there are things of the Democrat and Joe Biden
- 36:58Speaker 1: is Marxist, and they use using race to to fight
- 37:03Speaker 1: our country. They're using politics or fight our country. First
- 37:08Speaker 1: of all, the problem that we have is is when
- 37:11Speaker 1: you don't admit to racism, you have no chance of
- 37:15Speaker 1: solving racism. And so many of them try to push
- 37:21Speaker 1: the acts of racism under the rug. And because you
- 37:24Speaker 1: don't want to label it as racism or you being racist,
- 37:28Speaker 1: don't stop it from being racist. The people who should
- 37:31Speaker 1: just define racism and racist for you is the people
- 37:34Speaker 1: that is being perpetrated against, not the perpetrator. Because you
- 37:38Speaker 1: you in your lily society that you live in and
- 37:42Speaker 1: around your friends, you all for you, this is normal
- 37:46Speaker 1: because ain't nothing happening to you. This is right. And
- 37:52Speaker 1: what happened in also, they went through that and bomb
- 37:57Speaker 1: this neighborhood. They torch this neighborhood. They murdered these black
- 38:01Speaker 1: people because they were successful. My father man whose father
- 38:09Speaker 1: was a slave. My father said, be careful, son, it's
- 38:14Speaker 1: not enough that they got everything. They don't want you
- 38:17Speaker 1: to have nothing. And I always wonder why my father
- 38:19Speaker 1: would say something like that, but he says, if the
- 38:22Speaker 1: proof is through our history. He said they got Wall Street,
- 38:26Speaker 1: We get Black Wall Street. You can't handle Black Wall Street.
- 38:29Speaker 1: We're gonna come through that and take that from you, right,
- 38:32Speaker 1: And they couldn't rebuild. And hey, look hey, look y'all,
- 38:38Speaker 1: y'all got the right to vote. Oh y'all can't vote
- 38:41Speaker 1: who you want in now? Look at all these laws
- 38:43Speaker 1: they passing again. That ain't racist to you, right that
- 38:49Speaker 1: It's called voter oppression, y'all tripping man, We ain't stupid,
- 38:53Speaker 1: and nobody stupid. We we hip to this game and
- 38:56Speaker 1: you're not offending. You ain't gonna keep paying on this
- 38:58Speaker 1: telling us raining and we don't recognize the pete. All right,
- 39:04Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 39:07Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening and trending sports news, Junior.
- 39:15Speaker 1: What is going on at these NBA games? What is happening, Shirley?
- 39:20Speaker 1: These fans is was going on? Okay, these fans is
- 39:23Speaker 1: losing their minded these games. First off, a Celtics fan
- 39:26Speaker 1: was arrested for throwing a water bottle at Kyrie Irvin. Yes,
- 39:30Speaker 1: a mixed fan. You saw that. A Knicks fan spit
- 39:36Speaker 1: on Atlanta point guard Trey Young. Yeah, yeah, they're a
- 39:42Speaker 1: Philadelphia fans through popcorn at Washington witness player Russell Westbrook. Yeah, oh,
- 39:49Speaker 1: I know. They had to hold him back. Oh they did.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Oh they didn't. They had to hold him back. He
- 39:54Speaker 1: was trying to get up in them bleachers. Man, he
- 39:56Speaker 1: was trying to get to a metal world pe get
- 40:00Speaker 1: up there. And then three Utah fans have been banned
- 40:05Speaker 1: for heckling and going too far with Memphis grilly star
- 40:08Speaker 1: jayma Rant's family. So they were heckling his family at
- 40:11Speaker 1: the game. I mean, this is what is going on
- 40:13Speaker 1: to do? Are we allowed to have it because you know,
- 40:16Speaker 1: y'all messing with athletes there. See people think people think
- 40:21Speaker 1: when they buy a ticket that they have the right
- 40:25Speaker 1: to voice their opinion. You can voice it, but you
- 40:29Speaker 1: can't throw it to these players. You could boo them,
- 40:34Speaker 1: you can you can cheer against them, you cannot do
- 40:39Speaker 1: anything to players families that's in the stand cheering for
- 40:43Speaker 1: their child. And because he played for Memphis and like
- 40:48Speaker 1: he said, you had to say something really crazy to
- 40:50Speaker 1: my family for them to go back and forth with you.
- 40:53Speaker 1: But see if you hauling out stuff and his family
- 40:56Speaker 1: and his family go back and forth, they have the
- 40:58Speaker 1: right to cheer for the men for Grizzlies, even though
- 41:01Speaker 1: you and Utah or wherever they playing. Yeah, they got
- 41:05Speaker 1: every right. They have a right to cheer. A person
- 41:10Speaker 1: does not have the right because you bought a ticket
- 41:12Speaker 1: to degrade a player verbally, especially with racial appetititze and
- 41:18Speaker 1: you cannot throw with these people, and you can't spit
- 41:21Speaker 1: on them. These are human speeding I'm promise you this
- 41:24Speaker 1: right here. I don't play no sports if you spit
- 41:28Speaker 1: on me. I don't give a damn where we act.
- 41:34Speaker 1: It ain't nothing, it ain't nothing, and nothing nobody can
- 41:37Speaker 1: say from me. We can be at the Vatican and
- 41:41Speaker 1: you spit on me. Pop gonna have to come down
- 41:45Speaker 1: hire and absolve everybody in here. You can put me
- 41:48Speaker 1: in front of the wooden box right after that because
- 41:50Speaker 1: I got some confession. Yeah, you can't spit on me. Man.
- 41:58Speaker 1: So they are mad at High because they're saying that
- 42:01Speaker 1: he's he stumped his foot on the lepri Con. He'd
- 42:05Speaker 1: been running on it all game, yea, over that logo,
- 42:09Speaker 1: everybody running back and forth, stepping a little lepri Corn's face.
- 42:13Speaker 1: He went out there, he stumped on the logo. And
- 42:16Speaker 1: so what you can't hear it with a buck that
- 42:20Speaker 1: ain't show damn logo and that ain't shoot. Yeah, still
- 42:24Speaker 1: the floor and stuff. He took a picture of your mama.
- 42:28Speaker 1: If he took a picture of your mama, printed it out,
- 42:30Speaker 1: laid it on flowing, stumped on it. I understand you, right,
- 42:33Speaker 1: I understand you bust them in the head with the fuck.
- 42:36Speaker 1: But he stumped on that little white lever coun and
- 42:39Speaker 1: let the flu that everybody's been running on back and
- 42:42Speaker 1: forth to sell that l burden fell across that. They
- 42:46Speaker 1: slid his ass across the little lepri corn facebo. Anybody
- 42:50Speaker 1: saying nothing, but so are they saying that Kyrie disrespected?
- 42:57Speaker 1: If you don't want Kyrie to do that, didn't win,
- 43:03Speaker 1: that will stop a lot of just win. Yeah, I mean,
- 43:11Speaker 1: but I'm gonna tell you now, I'm gonna man you.
- 43:13Speaker 1: You just can't. I don't. I don't know how you
- 43:15Speaker 1: won't go there and get this dude, you can't spit
- 43:16Speaker 1: on nobody. I don't care if if I do have
- 43:20Speaker 1: a contract a water bottle, spit throw pop. You can
- 43:23Speaker 1: harm them with you can, Yeah, I mean, what is
- 43:26Speaker 1: wrong with people? They need to just start selling cups
- 43:30Speaker 1: that ye see? I bet you won't spit no motor
- 43:34Speaker 1: when you're still. I bet you won't spit last your last.
- 43:39Speaker 1: The people that spit don't be in the best shape either.
- 43:46Speaker 1: With a world class athlete, this man made me is
- 43:48Speaker 1: playing basketball. Don't think he ain't in shape? Right, yeah, man,
- 43:55Speaker 1: my god? All right, crazy, yeah, it's too much. All right,
- 43:59Speaker 1: thank you? And you're coming coming up next, the nephew
- 44:01Speaker 1: with the prank phone call. Right after this. You're listening
- 44:05Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 44:09Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:11Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today. The subject he picked the wrong sister.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Wait till you hear that. We'll get into it in
- 44:18Speaker 1: just a bit. But right now the nephew is here
- 44:21Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call. What you got for us? Neff?
- 44:24Speaker 1: Can we use your cask? What can we you your casks? Never? Hey, hey,
- 44:35Speaker 1: we're going through a little sum. We're going through a
- 44:36Speaker 1: list sum. All right, man, can you loan me a cask?
- 44:40Speaker 1: Get till I get on my feet. Okay, let's go
- 44:47Speaker 1: get Hello. I'm trying to Vicky. This is Vicky. Hey, Vicky,
- 44:53Speaker 1: how are you doing? Are you the are you the
- 44:56Speaker 1: niece of U. I think it's ain't ain't ain't your aunt? Yes? Okay,
- 45:06Speaker 1: and you you know now you aren't passed away? How
- 45:08Speaker 1: many how many years ago, y'all are passed? It was
- 45:10Speaker 1: about five years ago. Okay, listen, I'm over here at
- 45:14Speaker 1: the funeral home. Uh my, my my sister just passed away,
- 45:19Speaker 1: and uh, they gave me your phone number, did you guys?
- 45:23Speaker 1: We're going through a little bit of a situation here,
- 45:25Speaker 1: did you guys? Aren't have you know? Your aunt was
- 45:28Speaker 1: a heavy set woman? Is that right? Okay? Now they
- 45:32Speaker 1: had to did they have to put her in a
- 45:35Speaker 1: in a? Did they have a bill of a special
- 45:37Speaker 1: casket for her? Yeah? Okay, that's what we're kind of
- 45:41Speaker 1: going through with my sister. We ordered a special casket
- 45:45Speaker 1: for for for my sister, and I'm assuming this is
- 45:49Speaker 1: the same thing that you guys went through. I've called
- 45:52Speaker 1: several of her, her children, but I wasn't able to
- 45:55Speaker 1: get in touch with anybody. But the funeral home actually
- 45:57Speaker 1: had your name on file as well, so they even
- 46:00Speaker 1: your number where I would be able to talk to you.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Is that is that? Okay? Yeah, that's okay. You can
- 46:06Speaker 1: speak to me, but you know, let's things to be
- 46:08Speaker 1: a problem. Well, listen, the funeral is actually in two days,
- 46:14Speaker 1: and we ordered one of those special caskets, but it
- 46:18Speaker 1: doesn't look like it's gonna be in for another week.
- 46:21Speaker 1: So you know, it's almost like we're gonna, we're gonna
- 46:23Speaker 1: we're not gonna have a casket for her, um, you know,
- 46:27Speaker 1: for the funeral. And you know, like I said, the
- 46:30Speaker 1: funeral home told us about you know that you guys
- 46:32Speaker 1: were the last ones that ordered a casket of that size,
- 46:36Speaker 1: and you know, me and the rest of the family
- 46:38Speaker 1: has been you know, we've been trying to figure out
- 46:40Speaker 1: what to do and what to do. Do you think
- 46:42Speaker 1: it's any way possible we can borrow the casket that
- 46:47Speaker 1: your Ain't is in, and then when the casket comes
- 46:51Speaker 1: in that we ordered, we can put her in that
- 46:54Speaker 1: casket and put her back down to rest like she's
- 46:58Speaker 1: always been. Do you think that? Excuse me? Hello, hello,
- 47:03Speaker 1: if you think, could you repeat yourself? What exactly how
- 47:06Speaker 1: are you asking me? Well, what I'm saying is, do
- 47:09Speaker 1: you think we can bar your ain't casket? Because you know,
- 47:13Speaker 1: the fuel is in two days and the casket is
- 47:16Speaker 1: not gonna be in in order for us to be
- 47:18Speaker 1: able to bury her in a in a casket for
- 47:20Speaker 1: you know, to accommodate her size. That's what I'm asking.
- 47:24Speaker 1: What kind of this you're talking about? First of all,
- 47:27Speaker 1: who is this? Okay, No, my name is Larry. Like
- 47:30Speaker 1: I said, my name is Larry. I got you, I
- 47:32Speaker 1: got you guys. Like I said, I tried to call
- 47:35Speaker 1: some of her kids, but nobody ever picked up when
- 47:37Speaker 1: I called her niece's number on file too. You you
- 47:42Speaker 1: are her niece, Vicky, right, yes, I am. Okay, That's
- 47:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Do you think that maybe you can
- 47:49Speaker 1: talk to the children and see if we can maybe
- 47:52Speaker 1: use that particular casket? Okay, wait a minute, what the
- 47:56Speaker 1: talking about this? The First of all, who who is this?
- 47:59Speaker 1: You gotta be losing your mind if you think I'm
- 48:02Speaker 1: gonna let you dig up my any so just to
- 48:05Speaker 1: bury yourself. But I understand where you're coming from. But
- 48:08Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say is that we don't have
- 48:10Speaker 1: a casket big enough. And they were they they let
- 48:13Speaker 1: us know that you guys were the last ones that
- 48:15Speaker 1: had a casket that you know I'm gonna do with us?
- 48:19Speaker 1: That's you don't trust to figuring out have you show No. No, Well, okay,
- 48:24Speaker 1: first of all, what I'm trying to do is this
- 48:26Speaker 1: the family been grieving pretty hard and I just wanted
- 48:29Speaker 1: to make sure that the funeral would be right. And
- 48:31Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be right, and we don't have that.
- 48:34Speaker 1: We don't thing my family gonna feel digging any of you.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I'll show they don't call me with this. Who is
- 48:40Speaker 1: the funeral home that gave you my number to ask
- 48:45Speaker 1: me to use the casket so you can bury your sister.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Who was the name of that person? I can't remember,
- 48:50Speaker 1: but it was it was a guy. The funeral director
- 48:53Speaker 1: let me know that you guys had went through a
- 48:55Speaker 1: situation where you had to bury your your your aunt.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Like I said, I tried to call what's your name again?
- 49:02Speaker 1: My name is Larry. Okay, Larry. This is this is
- 49:04Speaker 1: a stupid I don't know what give you my phone
- 49:07Speaker 1: number to call me asking you just dune? Can't you
- 49:10Speaker 1: believe her? They call here asking me so can dig
- 49:14Speaker 1: up a flaking bary? They're sure's don't have a Cassie. Hello. No, No,
- 49:20Speaker 1: what's your fault? No? I understand it's not your fault.
- 49:25Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is what y'all show some
- 49:27Speaker 1: sympathy and some love for what me and my family
- 49:30Speaker 1: going through because we don't have a casket. Like I say,
- 49:33Speaker 1: my tuister, my sister was was you know? Was it?
- 49:35Speaker 1: If the heavens was a heast time good? You know,
- 49:38Speaker 1: my condoleses go out to you and your family. You
- 49:41Speaker 1: know I'm trying to be as reserved as I can
- 49:44Speaker 1: with this whole situation. But do you understand what kind
- 49:47Speaker 1: of stupid you're asking me right now to actually dig
- 49:50Speaker 1: up my un whose army, who's been and what I
- 49:52Speaker 1: for fun years to bury your sister? Let me let
- 49:58Speaker 1: me answer this rough. If this, if were you that
- 50:03Speaker 1: you ain't ain't gonna know she ain't gonna know where
- 50:05Speaker 1: you because for you to say to me what don't
- 50:11Speaker 1: but you're stupid what you're smoking on you smoking crack?
- 50:15Speaker 1: What don't know? I don't know more. First of all,
- 50:18Speaker 1: you know what I First of all, I appreciate you
- 50:21Speaker 1: trying to work with me, but I want to say
- 50:22Speaker 1: it is you. You don't even have the authority to
- 50:25Speaker 1: make that decision if you give me one of the
- 50:27Speaker 1: numbers to one of your cousins. Because I was really
- 50:31Speaker 1: trying to be nice and be calm. But guess what,
- 50:34Speaker 1: we're not doing this stupid. I'm trying to be nice
- 50:37Speaker 1: to you and tell and trying to help you out,
- 50:39Speaker 1: but no, you want me to get ignorant and ask
- 50:41Speaker 1: stupid with you. I was trying to be nice and sympathetic,
- 50:44Speaker 1: but we're not doing it. I'm not giving you the number.
- 50:47Speaker 1: I got the authority to tell you right now. We're
- 50:51Speaker 1: not digging up so you can bury your flops fear. Okay,
- 50:54Speaker 1: so so so so so, that's just it. I can't
- 50:57Speaker 1: talk to now one. That's no, you aren't talking, but
- 51:00Speaker 1: you talking to me? Okay, I got I got, I
- 51:02Speaker 1: got something else I need to tell you though, I need,
- 51:04Speaker 1: I need to tell you something else or you listen

- 53:42Speaker 1: You never know, it could be Buckle up and hold
- 53:45Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here. It is
- 53:46Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject he picked the
- 53:50Speaker 1: wrong sister. Dear Stephen Shirley. About two years ago, I
- 53:55Speaker 1: messed around with my sister's husband after a drunken night out.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I may him swear that nothing would ever happen between
- 54:03Speaker 1: us again. We managed to stay away from each other,
- 54:06Speaker 1: but he would text me often, begging for just one
- 54:09Speaker 1: more night with me. He would tell me how sexy
- 54:12Speaker 1: I am and I'm the best he's ever had, and
- 54:15Speaker 1: he's with the wrong sister and all of that. I
- 54:18Speaker 1: also enjoyed that night very much and have not been
- 54:21Speaker 1: able to get him off my mind either. He has beautiful,
- 54:26Speaker 1: dark skin and hazel eyes, and is very gifted with
- 54:29Speaker 1: his tongue. Whenever I was at my sister's house, I
- 54:32Speaker 1: would look at him and replay that night over and
- 54:36Speaker 1: over in my head, then go home and take care
- 54:39Speaker 1: of business by myself while fantasizing about him. In April,
- 54:45Speaker 1: we all went out and celebrated my sister's birthday, and
- 54:49Speaker 1: the whole night he undressed me with his eyes. He
- 54:53Speaker 1: called me the next day and we both agreed that
- 54:56Speaker 1: we couldn't take it anymore. He got us a hotel
- 55:00Speaker 1: tell room, and we made love over and over again.
- 55:05Speaker 1: It was all that I have remembered, plus some. We
- 55:09Speaker 1: talked about how it feels so right with us, and
- 55:12Speaker 1: then he gave me some should have could have would have,
- 55:15Speaker 1: like if he'd met me first, we'd be together. I
- 55:18Speaker 1: don't feel guilty about sleeping with him, but I know
- 55:21Speaker 1: I'm a terrible human being. Whenever he leaves me, I
- 55:25Speaker 1: get sad and I long to have a man just
- 55:28Speaker 1: like him. He said he loves me and wants me
- 55:31Speaker 1: in his life. But it's complicated. I know that if
- 55:34Speaker 1: my sister ever found out, our relationship is over for life.
- 55:39Speaker 1: I know things like this happen in movies, but this
- 55:41Speaker 1: is my real life. Should I tell him we should
- 55:44Speaker 1: go for it and see what happens? Or do I
- 55:47Speaker 1: deal with the heartbreak and let my sister have her
- 55:50Speaker 1: husband back. Oh? Why don't you be so generous? Isn't
- 55:54Speaker 1: that sweet of you and just let your sister have
- 55:56Speaker 1: her husband back? What? Let me just say, first off,
- 56:00Speaker 1: I'm just glad you're not my sister, Okay, And I
- 56:03Speaker 1: really hate this letter because what do you want? What
- 56:08Speaker 1: do you want? You have all the answers right here,
- 56:10Speaker 1: you know right from wrong. You know, you know what
- 56:14Speaker 1: you're doing. You're you're not gonna stop seeing him. This
- 56:17Speaker 1: is all like a game to you. Really, you know
- 56:21Speaker 1: what you're doing, you know who you're doing it with,
- 56:23Speaker 1: and of course you know this is going to break
- 56:25Speaker 1: your sister's heart if she found out. So what do
- 56:29Speaker 1: you really want? I don't understand you ask? Should you
- 56:33Speaker 1: tell him? Let you guys should go for it and
- 56:36Speaker 1: see what happens, or do you deal with a heartbreak
- 56:38Speaker 1: and let your sister have her husband back? What that's
- 56:42Speaker 1: really what you're what you're thinking about right now. I just,
- 56:45Speaker 1: you know, I just think this letter is just so
- 56:47Speaker 1: wrong because you know everything you said. You're a terrible
- 56:50Speaker 1: human being for doing this. You're right, I mean, you
- 56:54Speaker 1: have no remorse about this. You even said you don't
- 56:57Speaker 1: feel guilty about this, But you should feel guilty. This
- 57:00Speaker 1: is your sister, your blood, and it sounds like she's
- 57:04Speaker 1: your only sister. You're just sleeping with her husband because
- 57:08Speaker 1: it's fun to you. I mean, this affair and I
- 57:10Speaker 1: hesitate to call it that. This is just some mess
- 57:13Speaker 1: that you're in. It's gonna stop when you say stop
- 57:17Speaker 1: when you say so, because why would he stop when
- 57:20Speaker 1: he's getting two sisters for the price of one thanks
- 57:23Speaker 1: to you. I mean, he's got the best of both worlds.
- 57:26Speaker 1: He is the man right now. I mean you must
- 57:29Speaker 1: like getting used or played or something, because that's what
- 57:32Speaker 1: is going on. Please stop, just please stop this. That's
- 57:37Speaker 1: my only appeal to you, because you have all the answers.
- 57:40Speaker 1: You know what's going on. You know, before your sister
- 57:44Speaker 1: finds out and one more thing. I'll say it again.
- 57:46Speaker 1: I'm glad you're not my sister, Steve. Okay, how much
- 57:52Speaker 1: time I got right here? So I was just going
- 57:54Speaker 1: to determine how much I do. So let's I got
- 57:58Speaker 1: a couple of minutes, so let me just go tell
- 58:00Speaker 1: you a little bit. Then. First of all, he picked
- 58:03Speaker 1: the wrong system. Two years ago, you messed around with
- 58:06Speaker 1: your sister's husband on a drunken night. I made him
- 58:10Speaker 1: swear that nothing whatever happen between us again, and we
- 58:13Speaker 1: managed to stay away from each other. But he would
- 58:15Speaker 1: text you often, begging for just one more night with me.
- 58:18Speaker 1: He would tell me how sex I am, and I'm
- 58:19Speaker 1: the best he's ever had, and he's with the wrong sister. Well,
- 58:24Speaker 1: he's right about that. You was the wrong system. He
- 58:28Speaker 1: got that right and all of that. I enjoyed that
- 58:31Speaker 1: night very much and have not been able to get
- 58:33Speaker 1: him off my mind. He's beautiful dog skin and hazel eyes. Okay,
- 58:38Speaker 1: that looks scary to me. I'm thinking, canny man, real
- 58:44Speaker 1: dog skin with have even colored out. I'm real scared
- 58:47Speaker 1: with you. That sounded like color contacts to me. I'm
- 58:50Speaker 1: not really sure what's going old, but I love dog
- 58:53Speaker 1: skinned women. With dog either dog skin. When I see
- 58:56Speaker 1: a dog one was a real light out. I go
- 58:58Speaker 1: color contact Canny, man, I'm scared, and he's very gifted
- 59:04Speaker 1: with his tongue. Okay, so I'm just so assuming you
- 59:10Speaker 1: saying he could talk real good hood. That's what I'm
- 59:12Speaker 1: gonna go with. I'm gonna just go with that. Whenever
- 59:16Speaker 1: I was at his sister's house, I would look at
- 59:18Speaker 1: him and replay that night over and over my head.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Didn't go home and take care of business myself. After
- 59:22Speaker 1: fantasizing that, in April, we all went out and we
- 59:25Speaker 1: celebrated my sister's birthday. The whole night he undressed me
- 59:28Speaker 1: with his eye. He called me the next day and
- 59:30Speaker 1: we both agreed we couldn't take it anymore. That's all
- 59:36Speaker 1: it took. We both agreed that we couldn't take it
- 59:40Speaker 1: no more. Got us a hotel room. We made love
- 59:42Speaker 1: over and over again. It was everything I remember, plus some.
- 59:46Speaker 1: We talked about how it feels so right with us,
- 59:49Speaker 1: and then he gave me some should have could have woodows,
- 59:52Speaker 1: and all this should have could have woodows. He didn't
- 59:54Speaker 1: say nothing about what he was gonna do. She should
- 59:58Speaker 1: have would have cut him it needs. This is what
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I'm thinking to do. I had the rest everyone to
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: come back, all right, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: response that twenty three minutes after the hour, Today's Strawberry Letters,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: subjects he picked the wrong sister. We'll get back into
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject he picked the
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: wrong sister. His sister right here slept with her sister's
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: man two years ago. Always always something they would drunk,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: and then you know, he would always text saying one
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: more night. Didn't he tell you how sex you were?
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: He was with the wrong sister. Then she said it
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: is beautiful, dark skin and hazelize. That right there threw
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: me a little bit because that's a very rare combination.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I like the candy Man reference. I'm thinking contact Lizy
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: and Candy Man. So I'm a little scared right now.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Who is it? I voodoo? No, I'm thinking voodoo, some
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: role spooky. I'm scared a little bit, dog skid, hazel eyed,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: well where that come from? Anyway? And he's gifted with
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: his tongue. I don't care whatever I would look at
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: him and replay the night over and over my head.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Didn't go home and take care of busses, myself fans.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: In April, we went out celebrating Sin's birthday. The whole
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: night he addressed me with his eye. Called me the
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: next day and we both agreed we couldn't take it
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: no more. We got a hotel roommate, love over and
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: over again. It was all that I remembered plus something,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and we talked about how this feels so right with us,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and then he gave me some should have could have?
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Would us? Man, if I'd have seen you first out,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: if I had only waited and got a chance to
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: mate you, I should I should have just held off
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: after we met you and seeing whether this will go.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: None of this is a plan. All this is lies
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: is to keep making you feel good, because he know
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: that's what women like to hear. If he met me first,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: we be together. Then he was a line in the letter.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I don't feel guilty about sleeping with him, but I
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: know I'm a terrible human being. Hold on, so let
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: me get this right. You're a terrible human being, but
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: that don't bother you. Well, you're a terrible human being,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: but that don't bother you. Oh okay, so you have
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: no damn conscious. That's why it's so easy for you
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: to sleep with your sister's husband. Because you it's about you.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: You're a narcissist. You don't have a conscious. Oh that's
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: what this is about. I get sad and long to
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: have a man like him. He said he loves me
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: and wants me in his life, but it's complicated. Now
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: this is another lie. I want you in my life,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: but it's complicated. Well, he got you in his life
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: just like he wants you. He just want to be
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: able to screw you when he want to. That's all
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: he wants. But he got a wife. So now listen
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: to this. I know if my sister ever found out,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: our relationship will be over y'all's relationship. What do you
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: think Your mom will gonna think what you think? The
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: cousin's gonna think what you think, y'all? Your whole family
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: gonna think when this get out. I know this sister
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: found out, our relationship is over life. I know things
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: like this happened in movies, but this is my real life.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Should I tell him we should go forward and see
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: what happened? Wait a minute, go for what. He ain't
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: proposed nothing to you. This man ain't said nothing to you.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Let's go in there and sit down and talk to
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: your sins so we have a life together. He just
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: told you should have, would have, could have. He has
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: not proposed anything. So now you want to go on there?
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Should I tell him? We should go forward and see
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: what happened? This man being to walk away from you?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: He nothing to leave his wife or do I with
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: a heartbreak and letting my sister have her husband back? Boy,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: what do you mean let her have him back? You
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: ain't took him, He ain't left, and he know you
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: ain't gonna tell. See, just the dude, he didn't plague you.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Should I let shout? Should I let her have him back?
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: You ain't took him, he ain't left, and he know
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you ain't gonna tell. That's why he said he want
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: to keep you in his life. But it's complicated. Well,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: let me ask you another question, sistem. How would you feel?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: How would you feel if the shoot were on the
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: other foot? I'm just asking you that right there. Oh,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: but you don't really give a damn. I forgot because
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: you don't have a conscious Because you're really you, You
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: really are carried a person. But that don't bother you. Now,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: let me tell you something else. You don't know nothing
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: about this man except he can screw you. Don't know
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: nothing about him. Y'all ain't got no bills, y'all ain't
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: a had an argument chair, And let me tell you
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: something else about him. He ain't got no problem lying right,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: he said he doesn't slept with his wife's sister. You
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: can't get no closer than that. So when you do
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: get him, let's say you do get him, you think
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: he findn't cut the cheating off because he got you.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: He cheated with his wife's sister. Do you understand if
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: a man cheats with you and you consider taking him
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: from your sister? I don't think you really understand what
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: this man is capable of. You do know that this
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: whole move you're doing is a g T H Hill move.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I just want you to know that this is a
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: straight up GTHM move right. This is a straight go
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to hell move right? Oh, this this is how you
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: get a front row ticket to hell. This is how
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: you get him a seat right next to the furnace.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: You be over that bottom, you're in a lava rock section.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Your ass is in that part of hell where you
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: did the lava rocks section. You down there with you,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: just you the deepest pit of hell. You right next
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: to Lucifer. Alright, See, we gotta go post your coming
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: no good winch Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Please

- 1:06:24Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show

- 1:06:29Speaker 1: with Junior right after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: All right, guys, Junior is here with Sports Talk. What
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: you got Junior? Yes, Sureley, this is a little difficult today. Um.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Yesterday UM. Naomi O Soccer withdrew from the French Open yesterday. Yeah,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: after she was fine fifteen thousand and then she was
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: threatened with harsher sanctions for skipping mandatory media obligations. Now,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Naomi announced yesterday that she was going to take some
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: time away from the court, and she posted that this
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: is the best thing for the tournament, the other players,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: and her well being. Naomi also revealed that she's suffered
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: from long term bounce of depression in a position like
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: that winning brings about pressure and you know, and and
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I've had bounce with depression, so I understand how she
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: feels like, you know, were to just step away. And
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you know last month was was mental health Awareness month
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: too as well. Yeah, they find a fifteen grand fool.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: You're trying to tell us you finished step away from
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: the radio, Junior. No, unc, I'm just saying uncle yourself.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: A while back. That was that was when I was
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: dealing with sickle cell and I was in all teenage Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: trying to be out why from school? Yeah, well I
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: just need to know too now because you pulled me
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: to the side, tell me work, and I tell you
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: what I cannot help you. And and then and I'm
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: not talking about mental health with anybody else. I'm just
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: talking about Junior. You just talking about me. Yeah, gonna
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: be somebody gonna take check she's checking list. You get
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: way a real fast. I know some healing. No no,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: but I just want to say, man, we just want
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: to pray for her and you know, just just lift
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: her up, man, because you know, I don't think that
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: was fair for her to be fine. Fifteenth question, Man,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: if you did suffer from because of sickle sale, what
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: kind of got you through. I had to pray, man,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I'd pray a lot, man. You know, it wasn't just
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: it wasn't just just dealing with the sickle celle, but
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: it was the lifestyle my family had the time too.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: You know, a lot of that stuff was what was
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: happening with my parents' marriage and everything going on. The fussing, argument, fighting,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you know, and then you know, me going to school,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: going to the hospital and back to school and back
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: in the hospital, and you just feel like you're not
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: adequate enough as a person. Yeah, I must have did something,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I just said why I
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: got to go through this? And and you you you,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: you know, you're on the football team and you think
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: that's gonna make it happy, but then that you ain't
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: even happy doing what you love to do. You're not
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: doing any of that. But you know, but that's a
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: good testament when person admits to a problem and then
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Mike can say something to help another person with the problem.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Transparency is always good. Yeah. Yeah, she doesn't take it
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: like a lightly nail meal soccer. She says that her
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: mental health and wellness, she's not taking it lightly and
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: that's what she said, step away from now and and man,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: these are young people, yeah, man, and man, they coping
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: with traveling and all like this. Man, if it can
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: happen to an adult too, Man, you can let people
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: do what they gotta do to stay sane. Thanks for
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: sharing that, Junior, Thanks for sharing that. Thanks awful. You
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: got healing though. All right, we'll be back with more
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: listening show. All right, So, Steve, we saw something disturbing
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: on social media during the holiday and everything, and it
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: was Judge Joe Brown saying some really disparaging things about
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: our Vice President Kamala Harris, and you wanted to address it.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: You know, listen to me. I heard Joe Brown's rant
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: about Vice President Kamala Harris, and you know, I'm I'm
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: tired of it. I'm not gonna stand by and watch
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: of one of our own get torn down by a
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: black man. We got enough problems in this world. We
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: can't support our sisters no matter what they do. And
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: now you're on here, man talking about sexual escapades and
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: you're talking about she not black? Well, what is she? Then?
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Help me understand that? But what is your real problem
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: with Kamala Harris. Judge Brown, I'm asking you that because
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: it sounded like just a personal vendetta. You aren't talking
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: about her policies, You weren't talking about her competency. You
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: were just talking about some personal rent, like you got
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: some personal information. What you don't all this stuff you
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: was talking about six well documented in the La Times. Well,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: we ain't read. And I get I get tired of
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: this man. Why we as black people we can't have
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: a damn thing because of another black person. We sometimes
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: can be our own worst anyment, but we're not gonna
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: be that on this one. Them Aka's is proud of
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: that sister. Them Delta's is proud to that sister. All
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: the sororities and problem, all these black women are proud
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: of that system. It's a lot of black men is
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: proud of that sister. I happen to be proud of
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that sister. And I'm not gonna sit here and exactly
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: you sit up in here and drag her name through
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: the mud because you own some personal stiff. What what
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you've done, You ain't all that. No, Judge Brown, that
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: wasn't cool at all. And I'm telling you me and
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: you didn't have some cool conversations, but we have to
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: grown man ass conversation. Now. You got no right to
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: call this sister out like that. You got no right
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: to make the despiaging remarks you made about this woman,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: because this woman is the Vice President of the United
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: States at all. To come with some level of respect
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: from somebody. Damn. It's enough that they ain't giving us respect,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: but you turn around and we don't respect ourselves. We
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: can't get one black woman somewhere without some black ass
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: dude somewhere that ain't half what she is coming down
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: and tear her down like you'd have made a better
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: vice president. I don't think so, dog I really don't
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: think so. Why what was the end game that she
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: was trying to accomplish by dogging her so bad? But
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: I told Kamala hass when she came on this sold
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: ec used me Vice President Kamala Harry, and I told
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Stacey Abrams, you have a friend and uncle, Steve. I'm
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: gonna come to your aid and rescue if I see
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: anybody coming for you. See all of them, all of
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: them are Republicans. That's coming for Stacey Abrams. Come on,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: we got to stop her now, na, na, man. She
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: got an army behind her, she got said, she got
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: some soldiers out here, she got some real men out here.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: And me and and and I know some brothers in radio.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: We're not gonna let you do this, man, So brother
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: get back, get back to whatever it was she was doing.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: And me personal, I ain't got nothing against you, Joe,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: for real, I really don't. But what you said about
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: this black woman didn't make no damn sense at all,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the purpose of it. Even the little dude that was
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: interviewing you, and he young, he just kept saying, Man,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing to do with this, miss Kamler. Well,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: now see I wouldn't. You wouldn't have been on my
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: mix with that. I just shut you down with that.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey says, no, sir, you can't just do these
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: black women the way you want to. We can't have nothing, man,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: We can't have a damn thing man without seeing low
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: has been asked. Dude coming up trying to knock assisted down.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Who's accomplished something that's never been accomplished in the history
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: of this country before? Man? How dare you You're wrong
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: for that? Dog? And we're not gonna stand here and
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: do it. I'm not gonna sit here and let you
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: take something we did positive by our vote and then
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: you trying to tell us our vote ain't worth a
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: damn well wrong about that. I vote got her in
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: the office. I'll vote gonna get her in the office again.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: But what we're not gonna do. We're not gonna have
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: people like you, you guys to go doggie ye. All
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: them days is over. You just slamming black women like
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: you want to, you, Hannity, all of them. Y'all ain't
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: gonna do it like this because we're not gonna have it.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Uncle Steve has spoken, the champion for black wom black women.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Thank you. We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Show coming up at twenty minutes after. Right after this,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: time now for tell me something good. Michael Jordan and
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Nike's Jordan Brand Get this, guys are donating one million
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: dollars to more House College, Steve to their journalism program. Yes,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: it's all to help support students who are majoring in
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: journalism and sports related studies. So thank you. Michael Jordan's
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: major that's so big. Yeah, and congratulation him. He made
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: a huge, huge donation to Black Lives Matter, and he
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: has made huge donations to other college funds. And you know, look, man,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Mike caught a lot of flats because when he was playing,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: he wasn't active as an activist. And the thing about
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan was born into basketball to turn
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: basketball into a global sport. I mean, he took that
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: jump emblem and that became that became one of his missions. Well,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: now that he's not playing basketball, he's a team owners
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: and he's out there involved. Now we can compare him
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: to what Lebron is doing. Lebron is one of them,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: a one players out there all the way around the board.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: But Michael Jordan has been making great strides in terms
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: of doing stuff for less fortune, and a lot of
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: stuff he does don't get publicity. So I applaud Michael
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Jordan and I understood where he was coming from back
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: in the day because he was about winning them championships
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: and he made basketball at global sport. Basketball wouldn't be
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: in Spain, Israel, all in place if it wasn't for Jordan.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Oh brother, he was Yeah, he was doing a dog
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: old thing for sure. All right, Steve, thank you and
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: thank you Michael Jordan More of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Show at thirty three minutes after right after this, you're
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. On May thirty first,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: nineteen twenty one, Tulsa, Oklahoma, was the site of a
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: horrific massacre. A group of white races pounced on Tulsa's
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: prosperous black enclave of Greenwood, burning, looting and killing many
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Blacks while destroying thirty five thirty five city blocks. This
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: year marks the one hundredth anniversary of these horrific attacks. Yesterday,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: President Joe Biden released a proclamation for a Day of
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Remembrance for the nineteen twenty one Tulsa race massacre, calling
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: on Americans to reflect on the deep roots of racial
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: terror in our nation and recommit to the work of
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: rooting out systemic racism across our country. See the problem
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: we have is I was watching Fox the other night
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: and there was a guy on that who has this lout,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: raggedy ass show, and his whole thing is our country
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: is becoming a Marxist country, and that there are things
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: of the Democrat and Joe Biden is a Marxist, and
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: they're using race to fight our country. They're using politics
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: or fight our country. First of all, the problem that
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: we have is is when you don't admit to racism,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: you have no chance of solving racism. And so many
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: of them try to push the acts of racism under
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: the rug. And because you don't want to label it
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: as racism or you being racist, don't stop it from
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: being racist. The people who should just define racism and
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: racist for you. It's the people that is being perpetrated against,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: not the perpetrator. Because you, you in your lily society
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: that you live in and around your friends, you all
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: for you. This is normal because ain't nothing happening to
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: your affects us. This is right. And what happened in Tulsa,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: they went through that and bombed this neighborhood. They torched
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: this neighborhood. They murdered these black people because they were successful.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: My father man whose father was a slave. My father said,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: be careful, son, it's not enough that they got everything.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: They don't want you to have nothing. And I always
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: wonder why my father would say something like that, but
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: he says it. The proof is through our history. He says,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: they got Wall Street, we get Black Wall Street. You
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: can't hand on Black Wall Street. We're gonna come through
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: that and take that from you, right, And so they
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: couldn't rebuild. And hey, look, hey, look y'all, y'all got
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: the right to vote. Oh y'all can't vote who you wanted. Now,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: look at all these laws they pass it again. That
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: ain't racist to you, right? What it's called voter oppression?
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Y'all tripping man, We ain't stupid, and nobody stoopid. We
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: we hip to this game, and you're not offending. You
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: ain't gonna keep peeing on this television, raining and we
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: don't recognize to pete. All right, coming up, it is
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and we'll have some
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey at
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after right after this, you're listening Morning show.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: the day, back from the Memorial Day vacation. And uh yeah,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: short week, short work week, short work week. Oh this
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: week is yeah, yeah, huh it is yeah. And Steve,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: so we're gonna turn it over to you. Yeah, you know,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: I got a little angrier earlier at the comments that
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Joe Brown made about Kamala Harris, and I stand on that.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I'm probably gonna catch some backlass from that, but so
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: be it. It's okay because you know that sister man
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: deserves some level of respect. I mean, you know, we
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: have to respect a lot of things that don't seem
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: to go our way. We have to respect the police
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: when they pull us over that don't always go our way.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: We have to respect the constitution that don't always go
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: our way. You know, we have to respect the flag
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: and stand for it when the flag a lot of
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: times don't stand for us. You know, we celebrate a
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: memorial Data's past weekend as we should, and we celebrate
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: all of the fallen soldiers and remember them for their
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: service to the country. And you know, we all had
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: relatives that have been in these wars and stuff and
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: off for this country, only to come home and find
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: out that the country they fought for wasn't gonna do
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: no fighting for them. But we still, we still have
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: a huge number of people that volunteer for this country
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: and try to defend it and just hopefully one day
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: this constitution and this flag will mean for us the
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: same thing it means for everybody else. So in light
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: of that, I want to keep it a little light
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: right now, not funny, but I won't do it in
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: an angry tone. But I just want to give you
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: something to think about. You know, I've been dealing with
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: this country for sixty four years, and I'm over half
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: a century old man, So I've been here a long time.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: I've seen colored only water fowlers. I grew up in
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Welsh West Virginia. I've seen colored only water fowlers, colored
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: only restrooms. I lived through when black people couldn't eat
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: at lunch counters. I remember man as a little boy
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: going downtown. It was certain places we couldn't go as
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: a little boy in leveland so I remember a lot
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: of things, you know. I also understand that there's no
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: record of my grandfather. I understand my father's father was
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: a slave. My father's father was a slave. So just
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: in a little white, in a little light moment right now,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I just want to go over some things I was
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: thinking about, and it's not something to do with racism,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: and I just want to help you out in case
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you don't really understand racism, you know, if you don't
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: believe in racism, you might You might want to look
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: at this real close. If you don't believe in racism,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: you might be racist. I'm just saying. I'm just gonna
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: point out now all of these don't have to apply
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: to you to make you racist. But if any one
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: of these applies to you, there's a chance that you
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: could be racist. I don't know. If you keep saying
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: that stuff like this never happens, either your eyes ain't
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: open or you blinded by racism, one or the two.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: If you keep saying stuff like this never happens, I
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: believe this is happening. Hold on, you could be racist.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I don't know. If you're silent, it's simply saying that
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: you're okay with this. If you're silent and you're not
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: saying anything, hold on, excuse me, you might be racist.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: You could check it out. If you're not speaking up
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: in marching or siding with the black lives what black
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: lives really means. If you're not trying to understand what
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: black lives really means, I don't know, you could be racist.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: If you refuse to address or acknowledge that something is
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: wrong with this country. I'm not saying you are, but
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you might be racist. If you're okay with the treatment
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: of black people in this country. If you're okay with that,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: you might be racist. If your senator is against the
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: new proposed laws and bills concerning voting rights and the
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: unlawful treatment of black people by the police, and you
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: voted for him or her, check yourself. You might be racist.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: If you think black people need to go sit down somewhere.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: You ever said that, you might be racist. If you
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: think that this country is treating all people of color family,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: you might be racist. If you refuse to listen to
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: the concerns of people of color, ain't got nothing to
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: do with you. You might be racist. If you just
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: keep saying I don't see what the problem is, you
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: could be racist. Look, I'm not saying all of this
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: is anybody, but if any one of these is coming
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: out of your mouth, you need to check yourself. Man. See,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: that's what we keep trying to tell you. Racism is.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Maybe you don't know, so let me help you define it.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: If you keep saying white lives matter too, you're racist
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: because we didn't say they didn't. We just were saying
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: we want our lives to matter the same as everybody else's.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: If after watching all the black people killed in the
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: news and on social media, and you keep saying, why
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: are they resisting? You're probably racist. If you're insisting that
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: this country doesn't have a racist bone in it, it's
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: because you the bone. You probably the bone. If you
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: think your forefathers, even before slavery, was justified in how
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: they acquired this country, that's racist. And if you don't
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: see that a miracle was acquired through some very questionable methods,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you might be racist. I'm just saying you probably need
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: to look at that, because that's what racism is. In
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: case you didn't know, I just wanted to give you
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: a few things to chew up. You could few racist,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: and that's probably why we can't solve it, because you
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: don't know you how For all Steve Every contests, no
