- 2:05Speaker 5: the voice, come on, dig me now. One and only
- 2:08Speaker 5: Steve Harvey Man got a radio show, man, Yeah, dude,
- 2:13Speaker 5: Steve Harvey got a radio show because I can't tell
- 2:19Speaker 5: it to you any other way. Because God has been
- 2:22Speaker 5: so so very amazing to me. But the same God,
- 2:29Speaker 5: and there is but one that same God he is.
- 2:34Speaker 5: It can and will be amazing in your life if
- 2:38Speaker 5: you just allow it to happen.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:42Speaker 5: I was somewhere, you know, and I was driving on
- 2:45Speaker 5: the freeway somewhere, and I saw a billboard and there
- 2:52Speaker 5: was a guy in a field on his knees. And
- 2:56Speaker 5: on this billboard it said something to the effect when
- 3:02Speaker 5: you've run out of answers, try prayer. And I was
- 3:09Speaker 5: going somewhere, and I don't even remember I go so much. Man,
- 3:14Speaker 5: I was just going somewhere and I saw this billboarding
- 3:18Speaker 5: and I thought about that, And man, I cannot tell
- 3:24Speaker 5: you how true of a statement that is. When you've
- 3:29Speaker 5: run out of answers, when you don't know what to do,
- 3:33Speaker 5: when you feel weak, when you are at a low point,
- 3:37Speaker 5: when things just seem to keep happening to you, and
- 3:40Speaker 5: you don't understand why. Prayer is an amazing weapon. Prayer
- 3:48Speaker 5: is available to all of us. Here's a deal. You
- 3:54Speaker 5: don't have to go through the all of that you're
- 3:57Speaker 5: going through alone. See, I'm talking to men, women, boys, girls, students, leaders, bosses, employees.
- 4:08Speaker 5: I don't care what's happening. I don't care what your
- 4:10Speaker 5: situation is. I don't care if your relationship is all
- 4:14Speaker 5: jacked up. I don't care if your kids and your
- 4:17Speaker 5: relationship is jacked up. I don't care if your relationship
- 4:22Speaker 5: at work is shot. Your coworkers seem to always make
- 4:25Speaker 5: you the buddy end of the joke. You always somebody
- 4:29Speaker 5: always talking about you behind your back. You're finding it
- 4:32Speaker 5: more and more necessary to try to hold your head
- 4:35Speaker 5: up and walk past these people. When some days you
- 4:38Speaker 5: can't even get your chin up off your chest. If
- 4:42Speaker 5: you're a woman out there and you've been alone by
- 4:44Speaker 5: yourself for so long and you just tired of being alone.
- 4:48Speaker 5: You really want a relationship, you really want to be
- 4:52Speaker 5: have a mate, you want to meet your soul mate,
- 4:54Speaker 5: whatever it is, whatever it is, prayer.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Is the answer.
- 5:02Speaker 5: You are listening to a guy who is a direct
- 5:06Speaker 5: recipient of prayer. I can't tell you anything that I've
- 5:12Speaker 5: gotten out of that I didn't pray about.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Oh, now, there are a lot of things. Hold on,
- 5:18Speaker 1: let me backtrack a little bit. There are a lot
- 5:20Speaker 1: of things that have happened in my life that I've
- 5:23Speaker 1: gotten past without praying, because.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I think my mama was praying for me. And then
- 5:29Speaker 5: there's this thing that God has called grace and mercy
- 5:32Speaker 5: that he just somehow keeps us all waking up every
- 5:35Speaker 5: day without foot on some form of solid ground because
- 5:40Speaker 5: He's just waiting on us to come to him. But y'all,
- 5:44Speaker 5: if you can implement prayer into your day every single day,
- 5:50Speaker 5: and I'm talking about put it in there at the
- 5:52Speaker 5: top of your day, put it in there in the
- 5:55Speaker 5: middle of your day, put it in there when you
- 5:57Speaker 5: close your day out. When you're sitting at your desk
- 6:01Speaker 5: and ain't nobody bothering you, that's a good time.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Now. Look, you don't have to make no sing.
- 6:08Speaker 5: You ain't got to let everybody know, Oh I'm spiritual,
- 6:11Speaker 5: I love God, look at me, Oh I'm down, or
- 6:13Speaker 5: you ain't got to do none of that. Matter of fact,
- 6:15Speaker 5: don't do it for that reason, because if that's your
- 6:18Speaker 5: reason for doing it, that's gonna be your reward.
- 6:20Speaker 1: If you want.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Somebody to just say, oh, they pray every you know,
- 6:23Speaker 5: they pray at lunch and they have a Bible on
- 6:25Speaker 5: their desk and they have a bunch of highlights in it.
- 6:28Speaker 5: If you sitting it out there so people can see
- 6:30Speaker 5: that that's what you do, then that's gonna be your reward.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Please know that's gonna be your reward. What I want
- 6:38Speaker 5: you to do is pray. Ask God for the things
- 6:44Speaker 5: the desires of your heart, have a faith, believe in them.
- 6:50Speaker 5: But pray earnestly.
- 6:52Speaker 6: Man.
- 6:52Speaker 5: I mean, actually go at it with saying, hey, God,
- 6:56Speaker 5: listen to me. I can't do this without you. I
- 7:00Speaker 5: need your help. Listen, man, I know a lot of
- 7:03Speaker 5: people that pray. I know a lot of it if
- 7:06Speaker 5: I told you the rich and famous that I talk
- 7:10Speaker 5: to that pray constantly, it would have made you go
- 7:14Speaker 5: talk to God about it.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Man.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Matter of fact, you done already got yourself into trouble.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Go talk to God about it. You can't see no
- 7:22Speaker 5: way out. You're in a situation. You're thinking about doing
- 7:25Speaker 5: something straight crazy. Pump your brakes, partner, Slow down a
- 7:29Speaker 5: little bit, my man, Slow down. Don't all you're gonna
- 7:34Speaker 5: do is make situation worse. Go over there today and
- 7:39Speaker 5: talk to God. Talk to God for real. Just and look, man,
- 7:45Speaker 5: you know what. Man, Sometimes I've gone to God and
- 7:47Speaker 5: I've just said, Hey, God, I don't have a clue.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Matter of fact, I'm so jacked up right now. God,
- 7:55Speaker 5: I don't even really know what to ask you for.
- 7:57Speaker 5: I just need some help. I'm so deep is some
- 8:01Speaker 5: mess right now. Not only can I not see the
- 8:05Speaker 5: way out, I can't see my way round. There's a
- 8:10Speaker 5: there's a poem called Invictis, and the opening line says,
- 8:15Speaker 5: out of the night that covers me black as a
- 8:20Speaker 5: pit from pole to pole, I thank God's for whatever
- 8:26Speaker 5: be for my unconquerable soul. That this line is so deep.
- 8:31Speaker 5: It starts off saying, I am in deep trouble. I'm
- 8:37Speaker 5: in a pit, black as a pit.
- 8:41Speaker 1: From pole to pole.
- 8:43Speaker 5: I'm talking about man. From over there to over there,
- 8:46Speaker 5: it's pitch black and and and man, that man. You've
- 8:54Speaker 5: been in that situation before, y'all, because I have. I'm
- 8:58Speaker 5: talking about black as a pit from pole to pole.
- 9:04Speaker 5: God is there, God is available. God is always standing by.
- 9:11Speaker 5: He just wants you to come to him. See he
- 9:16Speaker 5: been coming to you a whole lot of times. He's
- 9:18Speaker 5: presented himself. I can't tell you how many times he's
- 9:22Speaker 5: shown you how good a god he is. He's given
- 9:25Speaker 5: us all grace and mercy without us asking for it.
- 9:27Speaker 5: He's gotten you through some things. And you look at him, going, oh, man,
- 9:30Speaker 5: I don't know how the hell. Okay, that's cool, I'm cool.
- 9:33Speaker 5: No no, no, no, no, that wasn't cool.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That was God.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Pray man, when you out of answers and you don't
- 9:40Speaker 5: know what to do, pray. If you see some trouble,
- 9:43Speaker 5: come and pray. If you already got into it, pray
- 9:46Speaker 5: if you don't know the answers, Pray. If you can't
- 9:49Speaker 5: see no way out, pray, Pray man, talk to God.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Don't make a scene. Just talk to God, all right,
- 9:56Speaker 1: very important.
- 9:57Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, you know another it just keeps happening.
- 10:08Speaker 5: I'm I'm gonna keep being in awe of it because.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I want you to. Because what God.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Does by creating these days repeatedly, it's just incredible.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Man.
- 10:20Speaker 5: It's just And don't take enlightening. And the fact that
- 10:22Speaker 5: you are up for another one? Are you? Are you serious?
- 10:26Speaker 5: Are you serious? You have got to understand how good
- 10:30Speaker 5: that is. That's such a privilege man, to still be here.
- 10:34Speaker 5: I thank God for you know, the older you get
- 10:36Speaker 5: when you start going to these reunions and you start
- 10:38Speaker 5: hearing about people that you've known, the older you get,
- 10:41Speaker 5: the more you hear about people you know leaving this world,
- 10:44Speaker 5: and for you not to be one of them, that's
- 10:46Speaker 5: a blessing, man.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I thank God for that, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:49Speaker 5: This is is Steve Harvey Morna Show, Sheloy Strawberry calling
- 10:52Speaker 5: for real Mississippi Monica and congratulations to Mississippi Monica who
- 10:57Speaker 5: has really been on their health journey and looked absolutely amazing.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Give it up from Mississippi Monica.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Junior and the legend that is nephew Tommy Junior. What's
- 11:08Speaker 5: on your mind, slick.
- 11:12Speaker 8: Because I know a lot of us struggle with this man,
- 11:14Speaker 8: But it's how did you learn patience?
- 11:16Speaker 5: On the patience part, that's one of my struggles patients.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I've gotten better at it, you know.
- 11:22Speaker 5: The hardest part of patience for me to understand was
- 11:25Speaker 5: to trust in God's timing.
- 11:27Speaker 1: That one has been.
- 11:28Speaker 5: A struggle because God's timing I've discovered in my life,
- 11:33Speaker 5: I don't know about yours. You don't ever match up
- 11:35Speaker 5: with mine. It never matches up with mine. I'd be
- 11:40Speaker 5: going like, how about today? Then I wake up tomorrow, Hey,
- 11:45Speaker 5: you know today, be a good day for it to happen,
- 11:49Speaker 5: you know, and then still believing that it's gonna happen,
- 11:53Speaker 5: but trusting in God's timing.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's just been a rough one.
- 11:58Speaker 5: But then what happened is when it happens, it was
- 12:02Speaker 5: better than the way you had said.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And it happened my way, it would have been messed up.
- 12:09Speaker 5: So that's been a tough part to just that part
- 12:12Speaker 5: of patience is trusted. Now the rest are patients like
- 12:16Speaker 5: my own patience and other people I still I still
- 12:19Speaker 5: don't have it, Like I have no patience for excuses
- 12:24Speaker 5: and I don't have any and I can't not stand laziness.
- 12:29Speaker 5: And you know what, man, like another thing that I
- 12:32Speaker 5: don't have patience for. Like I'll give you an example.
- 12:35Speaker 5: And somebody works for me told me they wasn't feeling good,
- 12:40Speaker 5: and I said, okay, So they said they weren't gonna
- 12:42Speaker 5: come in today. So I called him the next day
- 12:44Speaker 5: to see how they were going. He told me I'm
- 12:47Speaker 5: probably gonna need like three more days.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I went like, well, really sick, sick?
- 12:55Speaker 9: Yeah, so what what'd you have a problem with about that?
- 12:59Speaker 5: Well, because I was with you, why you oh.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I saw it.
- 13:06Speaker 5: I don't know why you came up with three more
- 13:08Speaker 5: days for that. Yeah, but the doctor didn't tell him
- 13:14Speaker 5: three more days, you know. But no, hold up, listen
- 13:18Speaker 5: to this right here. I'm gonna need you about three
- 13:21Speaker 5: more days, see that right there, because that don't sound
- 13:25Speaker 5: like three days.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna need a deeper cough. I'm gonna have to hear.
- 13:30Speaker 9: Something near death day for real.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I know.
- 13:36Speaker 7: All right, thank you guys. Coming up at thirty two
- 13:38Speaker 7: minutes after the hour, we'll hear from the pastors as
- 13:41Speaker 7: they deliver a word right after this. You're listening Harvey
- 13:46Speaker 7: Morning Show, folks.
- 13:52Speaker 1: There are a lot of reasons to like days.

- 14:24Speaker 5: We we are here to pontificate to annihilation or duration
- 14:33Speaker 5: for the congregation. We we gavel in the most by
- 14:42Speaker 5: curious way. Yeah, h knowing that you can wonder about this,
- 14:51Speaker 5: but you still wonder about that, dell.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 5: We gather now for word from Deacon Or. We will

- 22:15Speaker 7: this weekend's trending topics and top news stories, of course,
- 22:19Speaker 7: and that is all coming up at the top of
- 22:21Speaker 7: the hour. But right now it is time to ask
- 22:24Speaker 7: the COLO, our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. This is
- 22:28Speaker 7: from Shell in Kansas City. Shell says, I'm forty four
- 22:30Speaker 7: years old. My husband just bought a new car and
- 22:33Speaker 7: he doesn't want me to drive it. I don't value
- 22:35Speaker 7: material things like he does, so I don't mind if
- 22:38Speaker 7: he drives my binds. He said, I drive badly, Well,
- 22:43Speaker 7: so does he? Why is he tripping like this over
- 22:45Speaker 7: his car?
- 22:46Speaker 4: Roll?
- 22:47Speaker 1: First of all, let's deal with what you said.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Okay, you said you don't value material.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Things like he does, but like he does, but you
- 22:57Speaker 1: let him dry your binds.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Yes, think that was necessary in this conversation because really
- 23:03Speaker 5: what we're talking about is he don't want you to
- 23:04Speaker 5: drive his car, but you all materialist because if you
- 23:07Speaker 5: wasn't you winn the bough of bens. You the bought
- 23:09Speaker 5: to PreO you buy business so you could flex well
- 23:16Speaker 5: because he know you are not the X part the
- 23:18Speaker 5: second part, he don't want you to drive his car
- 23:21Speaker 5: cause you drive bad. See when he said because you
- 23:24Speaker 5: drive bad. You didn't say no, I don't. You said
- 23:27Speaker 5: he does too. What means the rims on that bens
- 23:33Speaker 5: is scarred up? You got little dings and dits all
- 23:36Speaker 5: over your bins because you drive badly. What you need
- 23:42Speaker 5: to get one of them cars with that automatic park
- 23:44Speaker 5: thing on it.
- 23:45Speaker 1: That's what you need to do.
- 23:47Speaker 5: And he not gonna let you ding up his new
- 23:49Speaker 5: rims and put all the little beings on his car.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You drive bad, No, we're not gonna. We done.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Gotta get him out of they ain't on that. Why
- 23:58Speaker 5: when you drive your car, always something gotta happen.
- 24:01Speaker 7: So I'm a little close to the car.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Next, you ain't not close? You too close? You hit it?
- 24:09Speaker 2: You try bad?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't hit.
- 24:12Speaker 7: Nothing driver because you have a driver.
- 24:16Speaker 1: You don't even drive.
- 24:17Speaker 7: Next question A to Nita and Madison says, a good
- 24:22Speaker 7: friend of mine has gained weight, and she goes to
- 24:25Speaker 7: eat with our group, and we all feel like we're
- 24:27Speaker 7: doing her a disservice by not saying anything to her.
- 24:32Speaker 7: Should I pull her to the side and risk hurting
- 24:36Speaker 7: her feelings? Or should I mind my business to.
- 24:41Speaker 1: The side.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Out now called fat shamming? So to avoid that, I
- 24:48Speaker 5: must answer this question different. Okay, let me just use
- 24:53Speaker 5: me and my friends as an example.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm not even talking to this letter.
- 25:00Speaker 5: We have friends in our group that have gained weight,
- 25:05Speaker 5: and right now it's a health issue, so we have
- 25:09Speaker 5: to talk to them different. They don't take hints, they eat.
- 25:14Speaker 1: They eat.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Yeah, so like when the bill come, we just hand
- 25:19Speaker 5: the bill to them. Because you are the the most,
- 25:24Speaker 5: and if we split this even it don't work out
- 25:26Speaker 5: because you had the most. You ordered full appetizers because
- 25:33Speaker 5: you couldn't make up your mind which one you wanted,
- 25:35Speaker 5: so you.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Wanted to taste everything.
- 25:37Speaker 5: You split two on trees because you couldn't figure out
- 25:41Speaker 5: which one you want. So you are that both of
- 25:43Speaker 5: them and dessert. Now them sides you got. The lady
- 25:48Speaker 5: told us these are share plates. How you eat all
- 25:54Speaker 5: the coin mash all of them? You ain't all other
- 26:02Speaker 5: skillet potatoes all of them? And we love you and
- 26:07Speaker 5: we want you here. You have got to scoot your
- 26:11Speaker 5: big behind. I'm under this table. That's just how I
- 26:17Speaker 5: know you finna eat a lot? Will you take your
- 26:19Speaker 5: shoes off to eat?
- 26:20Speaker 1: You find something rest? This is way past unsnapping your pants.
- 26:26Speaker 5: You have took your shoes off so you could dig
- 26:29Speaker 5: your toes into the hard wood so when you chewing
- 26:32Speaker 5: you can get extra grip.
- 26:34Speaker 1: That's a big person. Those are big people tactics. When they.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Are you quite done, you insist that they bring you
- 26:43Speaker 5: a chair with arms on it so you can lean
- 26:48Speaker 5: to the side while you chewing. See, that's that's big
- 26:52Speaker 5: people do stuff like that as a desk chair. You
- 27:01Speaker 5: excuse me, excuse me because I did two extra naps.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Who does that?
- 27:08Speaker 7: You didn't mind your own business?
- 27:09Speaker 1: You really you.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Put one up round your shirt collar. You gotta lay
- 27:13Speaker 5: one in your lap and one for your mouth because
- 27:16Speaker 5: it's too much food.
- 27:18Speaker 1: All right, we're moving on right here, we're moving on.
- 27:21Speaker 7: This is from Caleb.
- 27:24Speaker 1: We are done. I said, excuse me, I'm gonna need full.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Fox check please check me, please check please, because you're crazy.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna need fox.
- 27:38Speaker 7: We're moving on. Caleb in Albany writes, my wife called
- 27:44Speaker 7: me and I was in the bathroom at work, and
- 27:47Speaker 7: she kept asking me questions after I told her I
- 27:50Speaker 7: would call it right back. I'm sick of her not
- 27:53Speaker 7: respecting me when I tell her I can't talk. But
- 27:55Speaker 7: if I start hanging up on her. Will she understand that, Well, you.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Was in the bathroom because of what you ordered yesterday.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Technic, this is the same person, because when you're in
- 28:09Speaker 5: that bathroom you have to focus. You can't take phone
- 28:12Speaker 5: calls because when you're done eight the all the coin
- 28:17Speaker 5: mash by yourself and had that extra broccolini with that
- 28:20Speaker 5: cheese on it, and you ordered them for Fox. This
- 28:23Speaker 5: is what's happening now. Now you're in the bathroom and
- 28:26Speaker 5: you need total.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Privacy, then go together. He had weren't using the bathroom.
- 28:33Speaker 5: Now he got the time and waiting on people to
- 28:35Speaker 5: leave out so he could flush.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Stop the other the letter was from Tanita.
- 28:41Speaker 1: This is from Calum.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And is a different party.
- 28:44Speaker 5: Caleb is flushing, flushing faux five times.
- 28:48Speaker 1: You in here too much. I'm just telling.
- 28:51Speaker 7: You, Okay, all right, we're moving on because you obviously
- 28:56Speaker 7: have new help for this person.
- 28:58Speaker 5: Okay, don't worry about that. It's just from what you
- 29:00Speaker 5: ate yesterday. Caleb, say that name, Caleb. You ever seen
- 29:06Speaker 5: a skinny Caleb?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Caleb? Just we're moving on. This is the last one.
- 29:14Speaker 7: Demetria in Charleston, I know, right at church on Easter Sunday,
- 29:21Speaker 7: the pastor asked the pastors asked the visitors to stand,
- 29:25Speaker 7: and he couldn't.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I guess because huh say it again?
- 29:30Speaker 12: Stand?
- 29:31Speaker 1: I know, cause you couldn't because of what you ate
- 29:33Speaker 1: the other day.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Now you're in church and they didn't asked you to stand,
- 29:37Speaker 5: and you're big behind, can't get up because you pulled
- 29:41Speaker 5: the pew last time and total and total total book
- 29:45Speaker 5: rack off of it.
- 29:46Speaker 1: But they had the little hymn books.
- 29:48Speaker 5: You tried to pull that and you told that him
- 29:50Speaker 5: book racked off the back of a pew. So not
- 29:53Speaker 5: asking you to stand, and you can't stand because of
- 29:56Speaker 5: what you ate the whole order corn mash.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Now you've been in the bathroom mash.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Now you are at the church, Oh Euston, you can't
- 30:07Speaker 5: stand what it calls.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Your master suiting.
- 30:11Speaker 1: There you bought two weeks ago. Don't snap in the front,
- 30:16Speaker 1: all right, fellow, you have really you have got to.
- 30:22Speaker 5: Help these people with these weight problems. And quick, where
- 30:25Speaker 5: about hurting a feelings?
- 30:27Speaker 7: Entertainment coming up next? Right after this. You're listening hard
- 30:33Speaker 7: morning show. All right, guys, let's just get right to it.
- 30:40Speaker 7: The weekend's NFL draft. I know you guys were watching it.
- 30:45Speaker 7: Group text, we're flying, Well, what do you think let's
- 30:51Speaker 7: want to.
- 30:52Speaker 4: See to it.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I won't want to say thank you, thank you, my law.
- 31:04Speaker 5: I was happy for him because I know what they
- 31:06Speaker 5: did to him, and I was happy that he did
- 31:09Speaker 5: get drafted.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, the conversation is the truth.
- 31:15Speaker 5: I don't know why people think black people just be
- 31:17Speaker 5: sitting around making up theories about collusion and racism. And
- 31:21Speaker 5: I don't know why you think we just got time
- 31:24Speaker 5: for that. It's just that we recognize it instantly because
- 31:28Speaker 5: we've seen it so many times in so many forms,
- 31:32Speaker 5: So for us, it's easy to recognize. What has amazed
- 31:37Speaker 5: me is the number of people who aren't black who
- 31:42Speaker 5: recognized it. Also made it even more The president, Yeah,
- 31:49Speaker 5: he said, yeah, he was on this side too.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he was what what I'm here for? What did
- 32:01Speaker 1: he say?
- 32:02Speaker 7: He said the coaches were stupid for not hiring him,
- 32:05Speaker 7: for not picking him.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Here's what I think.
- 32:08Speaker 5: I think the owners got together and said we're gonna
- 32:10Speaker 5: make an example out of him because this is not
- 32:13Speaker 5: what we want in the NFL. We don't want these
- 32:15Speaker 5: guys coming in and show bolting thinking they have control
- 32:17Speaker 5: of power.
- 32:18Speaker 1: He comes in already a millionaire.
- 32:20Speaker 5: He's wearing NFL jewelry, NFL watches already, he's coming there
- 32:26Speaker 5: talking about where he might not play, where he might play,
- 32:29Speaker 5: and we're gonna make an example. So they agreed for
- 32:32Speaker 5: four rounds, nobody chooses him. So when the Browns in
- 32:36Speaker 5: round three chose the quarterback from Oregon, I knew something
- 32:41Speaker 5: was up. So then round five comes along and they
- 32:44Speaker 5: picked your door because they the owners would not let
- 32:48Speaker 5: the GM or the coaches do what they wanted to do.
- 32:52Speaker 5: That's not a GM or coach who would set that
- 32:54Speaker 5: at long and let that happen unless the owners said,
- 32:59Speaker 5: leave him alone four rounds. We're gonna teach them a lesson.
- 33:02Speaker 5: And then after that the Browns traded up to get him.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Here.
- 33:10Speaker 5: Of course it is, of course, it's no other explanation
- 33:13Speaker 5: for it. Now here's the thing. And I may do
- 33:17Speaker 5: this and I don't know, but here's the thing. Every
- 33:21Speaker 5: time a black father is active in their son's life,
- 33:26Speaker 5: that here comes they a villain. So the first villain
- 33:33Speaker 5: was Tiger Woods daddy, he's interfering with what.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Earl Woods was the villain.
- 33:40Speaker 5: Then it was the Venus, and Serena's daddy, Richard, he
- 33:45Speaker 5: was the villain. It wasn't for either one of them
- 33:49Speaker 5: guys doing what they did in the beginning, you would
- 33:51Speaker 5: have none of.
- 33:52Speaker 1: These people that were speaking about the greatness.
- 33:54Speaker 5: And then the LeVar Ball's Naim daddy got villainized. But
- 33:58Speaker 5: he was in their boys life from the get going.
- 34:01Speaker 5: You see where all three of them are. And now
- 34:05Speaker 5: it's prime time. But well, Lebron and Lebron right, But now,
- 34:16Speaker 5: when Archie Manning did it with Eli, what nothing said.
- 34:21Speaker 5: He even told them, don't trade me. I'm not playing
- 34:23Speaker 5: for y'all. But it goes deeper than that. When the
- 34:28Speaker 5: Kennedys do it, they all in the White House, they steal.
- 34:35Speaker 5: They got another Kennedy in the White House right now.
- 34:39Speaker 5: The Bushes made sure they boys became president. Come on,
- 34:45Speaker 5: Jerry Jones turned over the operation of the Cowboys to
- 34:48Speaker 5: his kids, and ain't nothing wrong with none of this.
- 34:52Speaker 5: Jerry Busten died and left his daughter, who don't know
- 34:56Speaker 5: deadly about basketball, to the Lakers. I could just go on,
- 35:02Speaker 5: the Rockefellers do it.
- 35:04Speaker 9: It's a problem when we do it, the highest family
- 35:07Speaker 9: does it.
- 35:09Speaker 5: But the moment we do it he does anything making
- 35:14Speaker 5: the mockery of the system.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Who does he think he is. I'm proud of the
- 35:19Speaker 1: Sanders family.
- 35:20Speaker 5: I'm proud that you doer got hurt drafted, Silo signed
- 35:24Speaker 5: as a free agent down in Tampa.
- 35:26Speaker 1: It's on the cracker. But see now, let me take
- 35:28Speaker 1: what handle now.
- 35:30Speaker 5: The yeah, oh and the celebration they had, man, which
- 35:34Speaker 5: shows he just wants to play football. Yeah, that's that
- 35:38Speaker 5: reaction that should do it them had was not the
- 35:40Speaker 5: reaction of an arrogant person.
- 35:43Speaker 9: Yeah, he said he was grateful for the opportunity, like
- 35:46Speaker 9: all the players that.
- 35:52Speaker 7: I love, legendary.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah right.
- 35:58Speaker 7: I'm so glad you brought that up out, Steve, about
- 36:00Speaker 7: the black fathers, because that is not the narrative they
- 36:03Speaker 7: want out there that black fathers care about their families
- 36:06Speaker 7: and their children and they're there for them. You know,
- 36:09Speaker 7: that's not the narrative they want. They want the regular
- 36:12Speaker 7: stereotype that black fathers all we're doing their family.
- 36:15Speaker 5: It's what every other father wants to do for his family,
- 36:20Speaker 5: is to give your children a better life than the
- 36:22Speaker 5: one you had. Lebron James, and anybody mad at Lebron James,
- 36:28Speaker 5: you a sucker and a fool, And I don't care
- 36:32Speaker 5: who you are, especially the black people that's got a
- 36:34Speaker 5: problem with that. Quit lock these sportscasts. Man, what is
- 36:40Speaker 5: the matter with y'all?
- 36:43Speaker 1: True? That's right, that's absolutely well. So I just.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Appreciate the non blacks who got on board and understood
- 36:51Speaker 5: that also because it was two in your face.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Well, now what you're gonna do? Because now he's fit
- 36:56Speaker 1: to play?
- 36:57Speaker 5: And I'm telling you right now, it ain't four quarterback
- 37:00Speaker 5: on Cleveland team better than this boy.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I'll pay you that right now. Y'all got five of them? Bro,
- 37:04Speaker 1: you got fine? We need all five over too.
- 37:09Speaker 7: Coming up home after the hour more sports news. Junior
- 37:14Speaker 7: Shennon Sharp has stepped away from first take.
- 37:17Speaker 1: We'll talk about it after this.

- 37:59Speaker 7: Shed and Sharpen's chosen to take a leave of absence
- 38:02Speaker 7: from his co hosting job at ESPN's First Take in
- 38:05Speaker 7: light of his sexual assault and battery lawsuit by a
- 38:08Speaker 7: twenty two year old female that he said he is
- 38:11Speaker 7: said to have had a rocky two year consensual relationship with.
- 38:16Speaker 7: Last Thursday, Shannon issued this statement on Instagram. He said, quote,
- 38:21Speaker 7: my statement is found here, and this is the truth.
- 38:24Speaker 7: The relationship in question was one hundred percent consensual. At
- 38:29Speaker 7: this juncture, I'm electing to step aside temporarily from my
- 38:34Speaker 7: ESPN duties. I will be devoting this time to my
- 38:37Speaker 7: family and responding to and dealing with these false and
- 38:42Speaker 7: disruptive allegations set against me. I planned a return to
- 38:46Speaker 7: ESPN at the start of the NFL preseason.
- 38:50Speaker 5: That was his statement, Steve, you know, I hope for
- 38:53Speaker 5: his sake it works out exactly that way. Now, he
- 38:57Speaker 5: didn't step away just to handle this. That That wasn't volunteer.
- 39:02Speaker 8: Yeah, it was necessary.
- 39:06Speaker 5: Oh no, they went to him and said, we're gonna
- 39:08Speaker 5: give you a chance to step away. Just step away, right,
- 39:11Speaker 5: now or we're gonna have to, you know, because that's
- 39:13Speaker 5: the normal procedure.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Thing it is.
- 39:16Speaker 5: I have not cared the way man Stephen a man.
- 39:20Speaker 5: He did another take on this where he got up
- 39:22Speaker 5: from behind the desk and walked out to the front
- 39:25Speaker 5: to talk about this. And you know, I just wish
- 39:31Speaker 5: he would run some of his statements by somebody.
- 39:39Speaker 7: Person or no one or just himself.
- 39:42Speaker 1: But he needs some other counsel.
- 39:45Speaker 5: I can't explain it because he didn't really say anything
- 39:49Speaker 5: except now I'm talking about this. I'm not talking about
- 39:51Speaker 5: Shannon Shop, but you were talking exactly about Shannon Sharp
- 39:54Speaker 5: in your statement because you were talking about you don't
- 39:57Speaker 5: understand why these players are not understanding what's going on.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Then he's self absorbed. You know why you never see
- 40:05Speaker 5: anything like this going on about me. Careful, brother, careful.
- 40:10Speaker 5: You have to be careful because false accusations can happen
- 40:14Speaker 5: to anybody, and they can tie to some form of truth.
- 40:18Speaker 5: Now do I believe that Shannon Shop had a consensual
- 40:21Speaker 5: relationship with this person.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 40:24Speaker 5: The problem is this consensual relationship has a claim in
- 40:30Speaker 5: it of some force happening.
- 40:33Speaker 1: That's where his problem is.
- 40:36Speaker 5: It ain't the consensual and then a new little dude
- 40:39Speaker 5: or somebody coming out and that ain't what person's preference,
- 40:43Speaker 5: and all that is is not against the law. What's
- 40:46Speaker 5: against the law's force of any kind? You know, the
- 40:49Speaker 5: me too, that's the problem. And so I just wish
- 40:53Speaker 5: that date rape.
- 40:55Speaker 9: You could go out with somebody on a date and
- 40:57Speaker 9: you consented to have a date with them, but if
- 41:00Speaker 9: they poced themselves on you, then that's right. So just
- 41:04Speaker 9: because they had a consensual relationship that particular day, she
- 41:07Speaker 9: may have said no.
- 41:08Speaker 7: All right, Coming up next, we're gonna switch gears here.
- 41:13Speaker 7: Coming up next, we'll switch gears. We'll have more of
- 41:16Speaker 7: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 41:20Speaker 7: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, ladies and gentlemen, as promised,
- 41:28Speaker 7: she is here.
- 41:29Speaker 1: The one is happening to me?
- 41:36Speaker 2: Whoa what in the world.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Is happening to me? He lives. Hey, good mornings everyone, morning,
- 41:48Speaker 1: Good morning. What's going on today?
- 41:51Speaker 7: Well, I mean, we just of course celebrated Resurrection Day, Easter,
- 41:57Speaker 7: and of course wedding season. Sister O'Dell is around the corner,

- 48:46Speaker 6: name is James over with the corporation. I'm with your
- 48:50Speaker 6: corporate wardrobe. You've been with the company for about eight
- 48:52Speaker 6: years now, Am I correct? Mona?
- 48:55Speaker 5: Yes?
- 48:55Speaker 6: Sir, okay, correct? Like I said, I'm from a corporate wardrobe.
- 49:00Speaker 6: Need to kind of give you a call. There's been

- 49:04Speaker 6: call about your appearance in the office. Okay, okay, now
- 49:10Speaker 6: your your your appearance seems to be pretty much intact
- 49:13Speaker 6: as far as your clothing is concerned. So it's nothing
- 49:16Speaker 6: that has nothing to do with that.
- 49:17Speaker 7: Okay.
- 49:18Speaker 12: Now, first of all, what are my parents have to
- 49:22Speaker 12: do with your corporation?
- 49:24Speaker 6: Well? What's going on? Like I said, you you've been
- 49:27Speaker 6: with court for about what eight years? Now? Am I right?
- 49:30Speaker 12: Yes, sir?
- 49:31Speaker 6: I have okay?
- 49:32Speaker 12: And you calling me telling me something by my kids?
- 49:37Speaker 6: Right? What I what I wanted to talk to you
- 49:39Speaker 6: about is that what what what some of the workers
- 49:43Speaker 6: in the office are having a problem with. And what
- 49:45Speaker 6: we want to do is get you an actual doctor's
- 49:47Speaker 6: appointment because we want to see about helping you get
- 49:52Speaker 6: a breast reduction.
- 49:54Speaker 12: Oh what reduction?
- 49:58Speaker 6: Okay?
- 49:58Speaker 5: Now?
- 49:58Speaker 4: You you?
- 49:59Speaker 6: You you mean from from my understanding that your your
- 50:02Speaker 6: breasts are too large?
- 50:04Speaker 12: Hold up, hold on, now who is this friend? Who was?
- 50:07Speaker 6: My name is James? Like I said, I'm with corporate
- 50:09Speaker 6: Wardrobe and I'm calling you actually pretty much from human
- 50:13Speaker 6: resources of corporation.
- 50:15Speaker 12: Okay, Now, if you ain't kind of hear by something
- 50:17Speaker 12: else certainly what we do here. So you calling me
- 50:21Speaker 12: telling me somebody giving me a breast reduction, what you
- 50:24Speaker 12: need to do is try and dig up slow, because
- 50:26Speaker 12: what I'm doing over in here, I'm gonna wear them.

- 50:31Speaker 12: came out, I wear them.
- 50:32Speaker 6: Problem, Lona. All we want to do is we want
- 50:34Speaker 6: to get you a doctor's appointment so we can help
- 50:36Speaker 6: you get your get your breast reduced. So you know
- 50:39Speaker 6: you you'll feel a lot more comfortable and the people
- 50:41Speaker 6: in the office will be a lot more comfortable.
- 50:43Speaker 12: Okay, I'm not You ain't gonna do it. Man. You
- 50:46Speaker 12: ain't gonna come in and tell me some what y'all
- 50:48Speaker 12: gonna do to me? What you talking about? I'm even
- 50:51Speaker 12: just being this foremost eight years and I ain't never
- 50:54Speaker 12: had no problem when nobody's telling me something about my friends.
- 50:57Speaker 12: So what you need to do is find out who's
- 50:59Speaker 12: going around here making these rumors. And first of all,
- 51:02Speaker 12: I'm gonna dig up because if everyone's up in here
- 51:04Speaker 12: talking about me and you know, jealous because I'm on

- 51:25Speaker 6: I gotta get a death. I gotta bring them down.
- 51:28Speaker 12: What you're gonna get downe is that's what you're gonna
- 51:31Speaker 12: get done and start worrying about my break. So you
- 51:35Speaker 12: and whoever whoever calling you are telling you something about
- 51:38Speaker 12: what I'm doing at this desk, tell him, I said,
- 51:41Speaker 12: the kids mind to why do you do I'm gonna
- 51:43Speaker 12: do me? So they don't like that, then hey, how
- 51:46Speaker 12: at them? Because I'm ana find whoever doing it because
- 51:48Speaker 12: they jealous. I'm a bad They don't understand it, and
- 51:51Speaker 12: the man's come in.
- 51:52Speaker 6: What woo whoop?
- 51:53Speaker 12: When they come to who they come to my desk
- 51:55Speaker 12: and ask for who, they ask for me.
- 51:57Speaker 6: Mona mana, I understand that. But what I'm saying is
- 51:59Speaker 6: your brain started distraction in the office, and I gotta
- 52:02Speaker 6: get your breast brought down first.
- 52:04Speaker 12: While whoever you are you might need to come see
- 52:06Speaker 12: you sit up in the front of my head and
- 52:08Speaker 12: see how it look. You might want to come back
- 52:10Speaker 12: and bring.
- 52:10Speaker 6: Out your crew, Lona. I can't. I can't. I don't
- 52:15Speaker 6: want to come set your desk and see your your
- 52:18Speaker 6: your I gotta get you to a doctor and get
- 52:21Speaker 6: your breast reduced. Now to when you wanted a point.
- 52:23Speaker 12: I ain't gonna see No, I'm going.
- 52:25Speaker 4: To a dorty.
- 52:26Speaker 6: No, Mona, you're going to a doctor.
- 52:28Speaker 12: You bringing so he is? I ain't going no doctors.
- 52:31Speaker 12: What you talking about? The doctor whoever you mean to
- 52:34Speaker 12: go see? I ain't trying to hear yeh.
- 52:38Speaker 6: What I'm gonna do is they said you would act
- 52:41Speaker 6: like this, Mona. They said you would react just this way.
- 52:43Speaker 6: This is what the people in the office are talking about.
- 52:45Speaker 12: I don't give it what they I'll be in this company,
- 52:48Speaker 12: so I'm gonna pay years. I ain't no hand, nobody
- 52:50Speaker 12: counting me telling me something? My friend, what you need
- 52:53Speaker 12: to do. First of all, you need to come in
- 52:55Speaker 12: and see me because it might like what you see.
- 52:57Speaker 12: Because I'm a big bad bowl woman. You better year. Well,
- 53:02Speaker 12: what's your name? And now what's your what's your name?
- 53:05Speaker 6: Why do you need my name?
- 53:06Speaker 12: I don't need your names because I ain't never had
- 53:08Speaker 12: somebody to call my job to tell me some my bras.
- 53:11Speaker 12: I need to know your name because IM gonna get
- 53:13Speaker 12: some lobdy in this because I don't play this shit
- 53:15Speaker 12: I need. I don't play that. So whoever you is

- 56:49Speaker 7: Thank you, nephew. Subject my three way love affair. Dear
- 56:52Speaker 7: Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty year old married woman and
- 56:55Speaker 7: my husband and I have a sister friend that has
- 56:59Speaker 7: been a major part of my life since I was
- 57:01Speaker 7: seven years old. We did everything together, even went to
- 57:05Speaker 7: college the same college and graduated at the same time.
- 57:09Speaker 7: When I got engaged, she got engaged. Our fiancees didn't
- 57:12Speaker 7: get along, so my man would always take my bestie
- 57:16Speaker 7: side when she was having an issue with her fiance.
- 57:19Speaker 7: A few weeks after we got engaged, my man told
- 57:22Speaker 7: me that my besties man was cheating on her. I
- 57:25Speaker 7: was shocked and hurt when I saw the video of
- 57:27Speaker 7: her fiance asleep naked over his side chick's house. My
- 57:32Speaker 7: man and I decided not to tell her anything, but
- 57:35Speaker 7: then my man got really upset with the dude and
- 57:37Speaker 7: went out and went and told my bestie about the cheating.
- 57:41Speaker 7: She was so devastated she stayed with us for two
- 57:45Speaker 7: weeks and called off their engagement. So now that we're married,
- 57:48Speaker 7: she's part of our family. She travels with my husband, hubby,
- 57:52Speaker 7: and I, and she comes for weekly movie nights at
- 57:56Speaker 7: our house. She's dating again, and when she meets men,
- 58:00Speaker 7: she brings them to meet us so we can pass
- 58:02Speaker 7: judgment on them. I've been noticing lately that my husband
- 58:06Speaker 7: is more opinionated than usual, and none of the guys
- 58:09Speaker 7: have been good enough for my bestie. That's a red
- 58:12Speaker 7: flag for me. So I jokingly asked him if he'd
- 58:15Speaker 7: like to clone himself so my bestie could be with
- 58:18Speaker 7: a man just like him. He got very irritated with me,
- 58:21Speaker 7: So I have been wondering if something is going on
- 58:23Speaker 7: with him and my bestie. As a test, I told
- 58:27Speaker 7: him that we're going on on an anniversary trip alone.
- 58:30Speaker 7: He said it would be weird to leave my bestie out.
- 58:34Speaker 7: I asked him if we are in a three way
- 58:36Speaker 7: love affair. He laughed it off and said no, But
- 58:39Speaker 7: does he really care about her feelings? What's going on here? Well, yeah,
- 58:47Speaker 7: he does care about her feelings, as do you. I
- 58:50Speaker 7: mean you called her your sister friend. You guys have
- 58:52Speaker 7: been together since seven years old, So yeah, he cares
- 58:57Speaker 7: about her for sure, and if you ask me, he's
- 59:01Speaker 7: certainly acting like a guilty, jealous man when she brings
- 59:05Speaker 7: other men around. I'm very surprised it took you so
- 59:09Speaker 7: long to notice the red flag. I think there have
- 59:12Speaker 7: been several First, and most importantly, when you guys agreed
- 59:16Speaker 7: when you and your husband agreed not to tell your bestie.
- 59:19Speaker 7: He's the one who told about the cheating. That's a
- 59:23Speaker 7: major red flag. That's not really what men do. They
- 59:27Speaker 7: don't snitch on each other. Now, he's so concerned about
- 59:32Speaker 7: her and who she dates. You guys have movie nights
- 59:35Speaker 7: together and she travels with you. What your feeling is right?
- 59:39Speaker 7: You know it is a three way love affair. Who
- 59:42Speaker 7: or what couple do you know whose husband can behave?
- 59:46Speaker 7: How your husband is behaving about her and that there's
- 59:49Speaker 7: nothing going on. Just think about that. He's doing way
- 59:53Speaker 7: too much when it comes to her, and you need
- 59:55Speaker 7: to check them both. You don't have to catch them
- 59:57Speaker 7: in the act or anything like that to know what
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: going on. You already suspect them anyway. So I say
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: you confront them and get it over with.
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: Steve.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: Wow, Well, it's interesting. It's an interesting letter. I will
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: say this about women. Most of the time what you
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: feel is real. Most of the time, it's because God
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: gifted you all with this thing called intuition.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: He gave it to you more than he gave it
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: to me. Women are born with it. You should trust
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: it and lean on it. So usually what you think
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: or feel is usually real. You're a forty year old
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: married women. Your husband and I have a sister, Fred.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: That's interesting. That's been a major part of my life
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: since I was seven.
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: We did everything together. This is very important in this
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: whole letter. We did everything together. Now pay attention to y'all.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: Even when to the same college, graduated at the same time.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: When I got engaged, she got engaged. That's everything dies. Everything.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: Our fiances didn't get along, so my man would always
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: take my best dee side when she was having an
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: issue with her fiance. A few weeks after we got engaged,
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: my man told me that my besties man was cheating
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: on her. I was shocked and hurt when I saw
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: the video of her fiance asleep naked over his side
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: chick's house.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Stop, wait a minute, what? Wait a minute.
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: You're saying that your man told you that your besties
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: man was cheating on her, and then right after that
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: you said, I'm shocked and hurt when I saw the
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: video of her fiance a sleep naked over his side
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: chick's house. Where your man get the video from? What
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: did your man get the video from? Now, let's just
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: do some hood logicill.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: One of two things was happening.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: Either the fiance who don't get along, Hello, the fiances
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: that don't get along. He gave your husband the video, like, hey,
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: check me out all your husband made the video. Maybe
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: two things can happen. Maybe two things can happen. Hello, Hello, y'all,
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: do everything young?
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Hello, Bobby, all that thought.
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: my three way love affair. We'll get back into it
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. You've

- 1:03:49Speaker 7: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: The subject is my three way love affair.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: Forty you old marywoman and husband. They have a sister
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: free what is a husband now? But we're gonna take
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: you on this journey and the sister friend have been
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: a major part of this woman's life.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: And tell your seven they do everything together. Keep that
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: in mind.
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: Even went to the same college, graduated at the same time.
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: When I got engaged, she got engaged. Our fiances didn't
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: get along, so my man, which is her fiance the
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: writer of this letter, would always take my bestie side
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: when she was having an issue with her fiance. Now,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: a few weeks after everybody got engaged, my man told.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Me that my besties man was cheating on her.
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: I was shocking hurt when I saw the video of
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: her fiance asleep naked over his side chick's house. I'm confused,
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: where did your man get this video from? Because they
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: don't get along, the two fiances don't get along, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: the two fiances don't.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Like each other. He always siding with the girl. Where
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: did he get the video?
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: Because of if I don't like a dude that we
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: ain't cool, why would I show him a video of
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: me or sleep over another chick's house?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: What purpose did that, sir, unless your man was there
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: and took you hit him? Crick Did you hit him? Crickets?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Just nothing?
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: I got you thinking, ain't nothing. My man and I
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: decided not to tell her anything. But then my man
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: got really upset with the dude and went and told
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: my bestie about the cheats.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Like Shirley said, what man do that? What man does that?
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: She was so devastated she stayed with us for two
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: weeks and called off her engagement. So now that we're married,
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: now y'all married. Now she's part of our family. She
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: travels with my husband and our husband and I. She
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: comes for weekly movie nights in our house. She's dating again,
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: which means that she ain't got no probably meeting men.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: But check this out, and when she meets me, and
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: she brings them to meet us, so we can pass
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: judgment on her. So it don't take this chick long
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: to meet men, because she ain't got no problem meeting men.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: So I'm assuming that your girl is attractive, and I
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: think your girl is attractive to your husband, so attractive
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: that he wants her around everywhere. So now y'all traveling together,
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: y'all doing movie nights at the house. I've been noticing,
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: lady that my husband is more opinionated than usual, and
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: none of the guys have been good enough for my besties.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: That's a red flag for me.
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: I had a lady on my talk show one time
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: said women should stop collecting red flags. It's a red
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: flag for a reason. Stop collecting them. But you don't
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: put this one in the backseat of the car. So
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: I jokingly asked him, I'm joke, you know, would you
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: like to on yourself so your bessie could be with
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: a man just like him? He got irritated with me,
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: So I've been wondering if something is going on with
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: him and my bestie. As a test, I told him
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: that we're going on our anniversary trip alone. He said
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: it'd be weird to leave your bestie out. I asked
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: him if we were in a three way love affair.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: He laughed at off and said no, but he does
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: really care about her feeling. What's going on here? Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: you ready?
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: You ready?
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: What you think going on? Because that's what you wrote
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: the letter for. Usually what women think and feel is
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: the deal. I've said that.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: The fact that this whole letter took you this long
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: to write, and then your last question is what's going
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: on here? It's really amazing to me now when he said,
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: when you told him y'all was going on anniversary trip alone,
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: and he said it'd be weird to leave my bestie out, ask.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Him if we are in a three way love affairs. Yeah,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: that's what. Yeah, that's what you're wan. That's what you wan.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: But you know you got to be careful what you
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: say and let come out your mouth. You did say,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: y'all do everything to Kevin Day, that's what you said.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: Didn't y'all invite this third party into y'all's life and home?
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Don't she go on all the trips with y'all and
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: she eager to go.
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: She don'll never say, girl, y'all do y'all y'all need
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: some boot time. I ain't even to go up there
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: and be no third wheel, because that's what most people say. Girl.
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: Let me sitting up and having no dinner with y'all
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: and everything, and I'm the only one. I ain't got
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: no man. Well, she ain't saying that because she got
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: a man. Yeah, because when he go down there to
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: get the coffee, where do you think he stopped.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: When he go to the gym and the spa on
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: the trip.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: Well, who you think at the gym in the spa
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: his gym work getting done in that other room. Let
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: me ask you another question. You ever noticed that the
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: two of y'all ain't ever alone together. I'm talking about you.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: And your girlfriend. You ever noticed that? Oh? Wow, uh huh?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: You have you picked that game?
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: When y'all go on the trips, it ain't ever you
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: and your girl going down for coffee or tea. He
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: always going somewhere by hisself. But you don't see her.
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: She don't cause girl says he's going to the gym.
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: I'm gonna come on up now because the gym work
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: getting done in her room. Push up, push ups, sit ups,
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: pull ups, jumping jacks, longing climbers.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you know a lot of cardio, Yeah, a lot
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: of cardio. Knee beings right, big overs, a lot of
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: downward dogs. We're doing Yoga's.
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: Strawberry Letter and Instagram and Facebook. Steve HARVEYSM dot com
- 1:10:01Speaker 7: and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast down out coming
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: up at forty six minutes after the hour. It's Junior
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: and Sports talk right after this you're listening to the
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Folks, there are a lot of reasons to like Hyundais.
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: Hyundai's done a lot to support American consumers. I mean,
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: they announced their investment of twenty one billion dollars in
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: the United States over the next three years that will
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: expand manufacturing and create more jobs for Americans.
- 1:10:34Speaker 10: And they just announced that they will not be raising
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: MSRP through June second, no matter what, call five six
- 1:10:41Speaker 10: two three one four forty six zero three for more details.
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: It is time now for junior and sports talk. What
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: you got junior?
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: Well, Hirlott, let's just talk about shador Standers was the
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: one hundred and forty fourth pick of the Cleveland.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Browns in the fifth round. All right, let's go, come
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: on Cleveland, and let's let's just talk about it. Fifth round.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: He slid four rounds drafted on Saturday.
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: Was this a message not just for him, but was
- 1:11:11Speaker 8: this a message that the NFL was sending to you
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: have to be humble or your attitude or everything else?
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: How it looked for everybody.
- 1:11:19Speaker 8: Else to say, Okay, come on, now, he's arrogant, he's this,
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: he's that you know, we don't we don't want that
- 1:11:24Speaker 8: type of attitude. But you use his name all the
- 1:11:27Speaker 8: way up to the draft, you put him in all
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: the commercials for the draft, you use him all the way.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Up till the draft day. To let him sit to
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: the fifth day, I mean to the third day.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: There. Have you ever seen anybody watch round three, never
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: say four five of the draft.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: I've never seen that. I've never seen ratings. I never watched.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: But you know it was it was obvious collusion. There
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: is no other way to look at this.
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: It's no way thirty one teams passed on him full times.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: That's just doesn't make any sense. He was too high
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: on the on the depth chart in everybody's pre draft.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: That was nothing on his field or off the field
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: actions that should have caused ulde. This was the owners
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: got together and did what the owners do to show
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: that they're powerful. And you know, stop thinking that we're
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: sitting up in there creating some another theory.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: No, we just recognize that we've seen it before. So that's.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: But thet But the blessing is he has a deal
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: in place already. You know, he made money in college,
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: you know, and and so he has a deal and
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: he'll be fine. But he finished, he finish show. These people,
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: so Lord, no, I couldn't figure out.
- 1:12:54Speaker 10: I couldn't figure out if they if they were targeting
- 1:12:57Speaker 10: the door or what they're targeting.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: His fought. It's the same thing. Yeah, it's the same thing.
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: And shout out to good fathers, black fathers everywhere.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Shout out to them. It's the exact same thing what
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: they did, and and and and shout out to good uncles.
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Because when I get this show and it's man, don't
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: get upset. That is my show. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: You don't get man, Timmy the show. Yeah, he left
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Tommy the Show. You're not gonna have a draft anything.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Ain't no draft with this radio. But that's not happening now.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: First round, second round, right away.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: It's immediate, you know what. I think that may be
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: some potential there, but I just want you to know
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: that will be a fee attached.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: Coming over to the top of the hour, my wife
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: thinks her husband is less affectionate now because she makes
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: more money than him. We'll talk about it. She needs
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: some advice. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:14:03Speaker 7: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this one is from
- 1:14:09Speaker 7: Shiva in Tallahassee. Shiva says, I'm a nurse and I'm
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: on my feet all day. My husband used to rub
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: my feet and run my backwater when we first got married,
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: but now he barely kisses me when I walk in.
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: He's been demoted at work, and I think he's resentful
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: of me because I make more money. Do I need
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: to address this or should I let him work through
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: this on his own?
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Well you should address it, but not in the what
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: can you do for me lately?
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: Thing. Just find out what's going on with him and
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: then he may come around back to what he used
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: to be. But obviously something is going on with him,
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: and he's picked it up as a wife, so you
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: know he's got it demoted. You know it might affected
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: him some kind of way. So why don't you talk
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: about that. You know you're getting your feet love and
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: when your bathwater rent. If you make that the issue,
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: you're gonna throw him on the defense, and in his mind,
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: he gonna go, it's always about her. She don't never
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: know what's going on with me, So you gotta be
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: careful right here. So that's my suggestion.
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: All right, we have time for another one. This one
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: is from Clark and Richmond. I'm dating two women, Clark says,
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: and I want to get married, but I don't know
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: if I can make the best choice. What should I
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: look for in a wife? What characteristics are the most
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: important when I make my decisions?
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Hey, br you know that you don't need to be married.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you that right now.
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: He's not ready.
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: Yeah, you won't even know what you won't and I
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: can't give it to you in a phone call. You're
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: not ready to get married because you I mean in
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: this this radio show. I mean, you know I can't.
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: What should I be looking for in a wife? Bru
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: You're not ready to get married.
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: He should already know that if he's thinking about getting married.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Bruh.
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: It ain't about choosing between these two either. One you
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: don't know what you want, and then marriage ain't just
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: about what you want. What can you offer these two women? See,
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: that's the other part that some people leave out. So, brother,
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: you know what you should be looking for in a
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: woman is somebody that seems to care about you, deeply
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: concerned about your welfare and your being supportive, loyal, you know,
- 1:16:28Speaker 5: willing to help you build your dreams. But at the
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: same time, you got to offer all of that to
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: a woman. Now, if you're not offering that to a woman,
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: what is she getting out the deal.
- 1:16:42Speaker 7: There's still good questions from him. If he's considering getting
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: married characteristic I think he should be The question what
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: should he look for in a wife is a very
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: good question. I think that's a good question. People need
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: to know what they what they should look for in
- 1:16:57Speaker 7: a wife. He doesn't, he's not ready, but I think
- 1:17:01Speaker 7: it's a good question. And what are the most important
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: characteristics when he makes a decision about marriage.
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: Maybe he wants what Leo wants, you know, maybe he
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: won't see where we go. That's why, Hey, Tommy, they see.
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: That's why we don't have something that Hey Tommy's sake,
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: why what do you think?
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: What do you say.
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: That?
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: But that's why I said they were good questions because
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: at least he's asking questions. Some people just go get
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: married and then it turns out to be terrible because
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: they don't ask questions before.
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: Because you know, look, he might have come from a
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: single parent home and he's never had a bird's our
- 1:17:44Speaker 5: view of it. He might not know what it is Okay,
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: I respect that young brother. Yeah, that's why I just
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: but I'm telling you what you should look for. But
- 1:17:53Speaker 5: now you have to be ready to reciprocate that. Are
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: you willing to be a provider? Are you willing to
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: put her in front of you at all times? Do
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: you have the ability to love someone else more than
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: you love yourself? That's what a man needs to start researching.
- 1:18:15Speaker 5: And the sad part of our society has changed and
- 1:18:19Speaker 5: there are a lot of men who are not looking
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: at it this way anymore. And that's the sad truth
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: of it. You're right, that's the sad truth of it.
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: Are you willing to love somebody more than you love yourself?
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: Are you willing to put somebody in front of you
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: all times? And are you willing to provide and protect
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: a family? If you ain't willing to do that, man,
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: we will take your slower somewhere.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: All right.

- 1:18:48Speaker 7: up right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey

- 1:19:02Speaker 7: cameras were rolling because he had to go to the
- 1:19:04Speaker 7: bathroom now, Kenny Smith teased Shaq, saying, yeah, that's that
- 1:19:08Speaker 7: olive oil you've been drinking. Charles Barkley said, hey, take
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: some matches with you, leaving no question that Shaq was
- 1:19:15Speaker 7: making a run for the toilet.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: Well just everywhere, right.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw it, Yeah, I saw it. Take some
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: matches with you. Asked that olive oil you drink, then
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: go harder.

- 1:19:35Speaker 6: So.

- 1:20:22Speaker 5: the hook on the back of the door.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: We did not know this. We didn't. Oh, I have to.
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: I can't ball my pants around my ankle. I gotta

- 1:25:24Speaker 7: one fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com. Here we are, guys,
- 1:25:29Speaker 7: our last break of the day, and it's been a
- 1:25:32Speaker 7: good day. It's been a good day.
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: Hey, you know what I had to come to the
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: realization kind of want to share this with people, but
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: you know, I want to talk about there's a cost.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: There is a cost. You know, when you make the
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: decision to be successful comes with a cost.
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: And as as much as I've tried to negate the cost,
- 1:26:03Speaker 5: as much as I've tried to alleviate the cost, as
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: much as I've oftentimes just tried to.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Not talk up the cost, the cost is real.
- 1:26:15Speaker 5: You know, I got in trouble, not really trouble, but
- 1:26:18Speaker 5: I got a bunch of haters that came online one
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: time when they saw me give a speech about if
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: you want to be successful and really really successful as something,
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: you can't sleep eight hours. And I believe that, you know,
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: somebody counted it with Oprah says she gets eight hours sleep.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Well.
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: Oprah's wealthy, though, But if you go back on her
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: journey and asked her when she was hustling trying to
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: make it what she getting eate, I don't think the
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: answer would be yes. Everybody I know that's grinding, that's
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: in the hustle, trying to really really have more than normal.
- 1:27:03Speaker 5: If you want above average, it comes at a cost.
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: And I've tried not to talk about it because I
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: don't want to, you know, knock anybody down about it.
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: But man, there's a cost for everything. And you know,
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: I know a lot of successful people who have health issues.
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: I've had my share of myself. Tommy can tell you
- 1:27:28Speaker 5: about his, Junior can tell you about his. All of
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: us can tell you about health issues. It's sometimes, you know,
- 1:27:37Speaker 5: it just it's a part of it. I don't know
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: how to explain it. Now. You don't want to sacrifice
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: one for the other, but sometimes it's unavoidable because there
- 1:27:49Speaker 5: is a cost, and a lot of times you end
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: up sometimes you have health issues because you just don't
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: know any better. You know, and that's why knowledge is
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: so important, because when you know better you can do better.
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: You know, had I known a long long time ago
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: that everything I put into my body was gonna have
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: an effect on me, I would have made some.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Changes a long long time ago.
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: I just really started understanding this in the last fifteen
- 1:28:14Speaker 5: twenty years of my life. You know, the how important
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: eating the right thing is, how important it is to
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: take supplements, how important it is to take regular visits
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: to your doctor. And as black men, I'm talking especially
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: to black men, we find it so hard to go
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: to these doctors. I got a partner right now, man
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: that's trying to get out the hospital right now because
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: he ain't been to the doctor in eight years. But
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: he's seventy and it ain't been to the doctor in
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: eight years. We can't do that because we've been grinding.
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: And I understood something about grinding recently. When you're grinding,
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: grinding means actually to wear down. But in order to
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: have something, you got to get in to wear down process,
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: and the thing you end up wearing down is your body. Now,
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: I'm not saying you should exchange your health for wealth.
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: I wish that wasn't the cost, but oftentimes that's the
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: cost factor. And people who don't want it, you don't
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: have to do it. But then there's a cost with
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: being poor. To see, there's a cost factor when you
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: decide not to be anything. It's a cost factor when
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: you decide I'm just gonna ride it out, I'm just
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: gonna mail it in. There's a cost factor for that.
- 1:29:29Speaker 5: I notice when old people who've been working their whole
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: life finally retire and they don't and they able to
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: stop being active. I watch them wear down, dissipate, just
- 1:29:42Speaker 5: wither away because that work, that thing called the grind
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: of getting up going to work every day. It gave
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: them something to live for. It gave them something to
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: do and made them active. It's just a cost, man.
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: But you have to decide which one of the costs
- 1:29:58Speaker 5: you want to pay. Do you want to pay the
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: the cost of being successful or do you want to
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: be the cost you want to pay the cost of
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: being poor. Now, when I say poor, I mean really poor.
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: I don't mean like if you make a hundred thousand dollars.
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: I ain't talking about like that. You're doing great, man,
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: your life is good. I think people are that that
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: make one hundred thousand dollars doing fine with your life
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: that's not what I'm saying, so please don't misunderstand me.
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: I'm talking about when you don't have enough to eat,
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: you can't put a roof over your family's head, you
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: can't get them to the store. And then you got
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: to do more. Man, you got to do more. But
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: it's a cost for it, one way or the other.
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: I suggest, though, if I look back on it, all,
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: you have to find a way to create a balance.
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: But the balance ain't gonna be even even, it's just
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: gotta be. You got to grind, you got to rest,
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: You got to grind, You got to rest. You got
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: to grind, you got to rest. If you just grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind,
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: then try to rest, the cost factor's gonna be greater.
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: So find the balance for yourself. I can't tell anybody
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: what that is, but there is a cost to being successful.
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: But there is a cost to not being successful. And
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: you have to decide which one of the costs you
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: have to pay. Now that's just real talk. You can
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: say it ain't so, but yes, it is not being
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: able to provide for your family. That's a cost being
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: able to provide for your family. There is a cost.
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: You have to decide which cost you're willing to pay
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: and then find a balance in there. That's what I
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: had to discover. So those are my clothes remarks. That's
- 1:31:44Speaker 5: it for today. Hey listen, y'all have a great day.
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: Talk to God today. He loved to hear from you.
