- 1:46Speaker 5: turn the water the monk.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think that, h I sure will. Hey,
- 2:03Speaker 2: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 2: radio show. I've been saying it like that since I
- 2:13Speaker 2: got it too. All right, got a good one for
- 2:17Speaker 2: you today. Yesterday the other day, I was talking to
- 2:19Speaker 2: you about the most effective weapon available to us as
- 2:23Speaker 2: human beings, I think is prayer. I think prayer helps
- 2:27Speaker 2: us in so many ways. But right now, what I
- 2:30Speaker 2: want to do is I want to show you how
- 2:33Speaker 2: prayer pays off. I want to show you what good
- 2:37Speaker 2: it can do for you. Even me, I use it
- 2:39Speaker 2: every day, and the days I don't use it, I
- 2:43Speaker 2: feel it that that, you know, the days that I go,
- 2:47Speaker 2: you know, without talking to him as much, I notice it.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I feel it. I feel a certain kind of way.
- 2:52Speaker 2: You know, those that doubts starts slipping in again, that
- 2:56Speaker 2: uneasy feeling of uncertainty slips in again, that wondering what
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna do, start slipping in again. Happens to me,
- 3:04Speaker 2: happens to everybody. Man, I think, I really really do
- 3:07Speaker 2: you know, if people would just keep it real with
- 3:08Speaker 2: each other, stop being this Christian this superman, because you ain't.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You ain't the scripture that says that's none perfect, no,
- 3:20Speaker 2: not one, that's everybody, that cover all of us. Though,
- 3:25Speaker 2: so sometimes I think we're a little too hard on
- 3:28Speaker 2: each other with that too, seeing that's how we not perfect.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We immediately want to just just oh man, you just
- 3:36Speaker 2: want to kill when we find somebody do something wrong.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But bell, if we go public, everything go public now
- 3:41Speaker 2: called social media. But anyway, I just want to talk
- 3:44Speaker 2: to you about how prayer pays off. It's called it
- 3:48Speaker 2: all eye money. People got money, call it all eyes.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So return on investment. People always looking for a return
- 3:55Speaker 2: on investment. You know, nobody, nobody in business really gives
- 3:59Speaker 2: you money without understanding the return on investment. They don't
- 4:03Speaker 2: even give money to charities unless they think it can
- 4:07Speaker 2: do something with the bottom line. A lot of companies
- 4:10Speaker 2: work like that. I found out out myself. Sad, but
- 4:13Speaker 2: it is true. So since everything is expected to work
- 4:17Speaker 2: on a return on investment, I assume because we're human beings.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So since we are human beings, whether you're in business
- 4:24Speaker 2: or not, you still in the business of living. I
- 4:28Speaker 2: think when you pray, you should expect a return on
- 4:32Speaker 2: your investment. You talk to him, you spend time opening
- 4:37Speaker 2: up to him, you bowed your head to him, you
- 4:41Speaker 2: humbled yourself, you got on your knees. I mean, but
- 4:45Speaker 2: really we talking God here. So really, what you doing
- 4:47Speaker 2: ain't really about nothing. Be honest with you. A little
- 4:50Speaker 2: bit that you do do on his behalf, it just
- 4:54Speaker 2: pays and compareson with what he does. But let's just
- 4:57Speaker 2: say you want to call yourself invested, Well, let me
- 5:00Speaker 2: show you how it pays off this because see for me,
- 5:04Speaker 2: this is for me. Now, prayer pays off in different ways.
- 5:07Speaker 2: That's what I had to learn. See, I was praying,
- 5:10Speaker 2: but I was asking him specifically for what I wanted.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I had the audacity, though, to turn around and tell
- 5:17Speaker 2: him how to do what I wanted. That's amazing, man.
- 5:20Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many blessings I block come
- 5:22Speaker 2: in my way by putting my faith in what I
- 5:26Speaker 2: said I wanted and how I wanted him to do it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I want you to give me this. I want that
- 5:32Speaker 2: person to go away. I want this person to accept
- 5:36Speaker 2: everything you say. Then I want to go over here
- 5:39Speaker 2: and I want this deal to happen like this, and
- 5:41Speaker 2: I want that person to just step aside and let
- 5:45Speaker 2: me through. And then I want that I was I
- 5:47Speaker 2: had it mapped out. God must have been chuckling really hard.
- 5:52Speaker 2: He had been gonna, boy, I made you to be funny.
- 5:54Speaker 2: But boy, you funny now. So you're gonna tell me
- 5:56Speaker 2: how to do it. And you've all heard this right here.
- 5:58Speaker 2: If you want to make God laugh telling me or playing, well,
- 6:02Speaker 2: that's what I did. And that's how we pray. A
- 6:04Speaker 2: lot of times we pray, and we pray. In the prayer,
- 6:08Speaker 2: we're telling him how to work it out. Well, here's
- 6:12Speaker 2: the deal. This is what I've learned. Prayer pays off
- 6:15Speaker 2: in different ways. There's a different return of my investment
- 6:18Speaker 2: when I pray. See, sometimes when I'm praying for something,
- 6:23Speaker 2: a situation to dissolve itself or go away, sometimes I
- 6:28Speaker 2: get courage out of the prayer. Prayer provides me courage.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That's just to go on and look at it. I
- 6:36Speaker 2: guess face it.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Then.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer gives
- 6:46Speaker 2: me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look up
- 6:49Speaker 2: and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives you
- 6:54Speaker 2: laugh at off power. Sometimes, man, you just got to
- 6:58Speaker 2: laugh at off whatever, man you trip it? Do you
- 7:05Speaker 2: know what that is? If you could do that?
- 7:08Speaker 7: You know.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Sometimes it gives you a show of strength power. Sometimes
- 7:15Speaker 2: prayer allows you to have the appearance that you got
- 7:18Speaker 2: it all together. Nobody got to know the world winning.
- 7:22Speaker 2: The tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life, You
- 7:26Speaker 2: standing over that like the eye the hurricane, you just
- 7:28Speaker 2: and it's all swirling around you. But you standing there
- 7:31Speaker 2: like the eye, you just as calm. That's what prayer does.
- 7:35Speaker 2: So when you pray, man, it builds up a lot
- 7:38Speaker 2: of things in you. You know what it's done for me.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Prayer has built up character in me. It's made me
- 7:44Speaker 2: have more character because I'm able to stand stronger on
- 7:48Speaker 2: the things I say because I've been praying, because I've
- 7:52Speaker 2: been asking God for all of those return of investments.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I've been asking God for courage. I've been asking God
- 7:59Speaker 2: for hanging that. I've been asking him to give me
- 8:01Speaker 2: the power to walk away. I've asked him to give
- 8:04Speaker 2: me ignored power. I've asked him to help me laugh
- 8:07Speaker 2: it off. I've asked him to show me strength. But
- 8:09Speaker 2: you know what I was doing, I was really praying,
- 8:11Speaker 2: not really for them things be real with you. I
- 8:14Speaker 2: was asking him to help me. Lord, help me. You
- 8:17Speaker 2: ever done that? You have asked God for help, and
- 8:19Speaker 2: then all of a sudden, the list of these things
- 8:21Speaker 2: show up. See, sometimes how you want the problem to
- 8:24Speaker 2: be solved ain't the best way. There's a lesson to
- 8:27Speaker 2: be learned when we make mistakes. And sometimes you got
- 8:30Speaker 2: to stay in that fire and you got to learn
- 8:32Speaker 2: that lesson. But guess what, though, when you come out
- 8:35Speaker 2: of it, you're gonna be better for it. You gonna
- 8:38Speaker 2: know more about it. Come on, y'all, pray. He's solid.
- 8:42Speaker 2: His word is true, It lasts forever. He do what
- 8:44Speaker 2: he said he gonna do now all day, all night,
- 8:49Speaker 2: twenty four seven. He do it all day, all night,
- 8:52Speaker 2: and then some more. His word don't ever change. It's true.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It works for me. It worked for you. It worked
- 8:58Speaker 2: for Jake's. It works for Old Steam. It worked for
- 9:02Speaker 2: Kirk Franklin. It worked for Paula White, It worked for
- 9:06Speaker 2: Billy Graham, It worked for Mother Teresa. It worked for Gandhy,
- 9:11Speaker 2: It worked for Princess Arabs. It worked, man, it worked
- 9:16Speaker 2: for you. What you're waiting for? Why don't you put
- 9:20Speaker 2: prayer in your game? Watch what happened to you? You
- 9:22Speaker 2: sitting in that jail cell and you struggling with it,
- 9:25Speaker 2: and they telling you blood in, blood out, you can't
- 9:28Speaker 2: get in you. That's foolishness, man, What you mean God
- 9:31Speaker 2: can get you out of anything. Look, man, if you
- 9:34Speaker 2: done read your Bible, he'dne got some people on some
- 9:36Speaker 2: sticky situations. I don't know what you're talking about. If
- 9:38Speaker 2: Daniel was in the lions den and Jonah was in
- 9:41Speaker 2: the belly of the whale, what you talking about? Where
- 9:43Speaker 2: you are? You just sitting in the cell with some
- 9:44Speaker 2: dudes around. You're talking about what they gonna do? Man,
- 9:46Speaker 2: you got to be real. God can't nothing to do nothing.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Nobody can't nobody do nothing to you. God won't give
- 9:53Speaker 2: you the strength to handle prayer change his things.
- 9:56Speaker 8: Man, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, we are here another day, another dollar,
- 10:06Speaker 2: another opportunity, another chance to holler, give God some glory,
- 10:11Speaker 2: let him know your story, tell God how you feel,
- 10:14Speaker 2: and always try to keep you one hundred percent real.
- 10:17Speaker 2: This is the way we decided to do it today.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I'm in the verses against myself, so they say I've
- 10:23Speaker 2: decided to exist. They didn't ask me to go against
- 10:25Speaker 2: ty resent Tank. I said, oh, what you I can't
- 10:28Speaker 2: say that's what you think? So then I set up
- 10:31Speaker 2: in here and I decided just to do my own thing.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Why am I in the verses when I'm the only
- 10:36Speaker 2: one who can really sing? Well, that don't make no sense, Steve,
- 10:39Speaker 2: what you just said. That's why I need to stop
- 10:42Speaker 2: running off my mouth if they ain't come in my head.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Steve Harvey Morning Show,

- 11:10Speaker 2: don't get high, you must be high. Take off that.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Turd on neck.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I wanna tell Tank, don't put nothing in my head
- 11:21Speaker 2: like that.
- 11:22Speaker 9: No more.

- 12:41Speaker 2: there's honor in the fight. When you decide to fight
- 12:45Speaker 2: old age dog. It actually takes something. Yeah, and stuff
- 12:55Speaker 2: you gotta pay attention to. Yeah, I just got you know,
- 12:59Speaker 2: you know, like man, you have an old injury to
- 13:01Speaker 2: come back to haunt you. If you've done some things

- 14:32Speaker 12: Hello, I'm trying to reach a Denise.
- 14:35Speaker 11: Yes, this is she.
- 14:36Speaker 12: Hi Denise. My name is Gavin. I'm actually the head
- 14:39Speaker 12: jeweler here Diamonds.
- 14:40Speaker 11: No, how you doing.
- 14:41Speaker 12: I'm good. You brought your ring in what was it
- 14:44Speaker 12: last week? I actually wasn't here, but you gave it
- 14:46Speaker 12: to one of my salespersons and you wanted to get
- 14:50Speaker 12: it resized as well as as get it a praise. Correct.
- 14:53Speaker 11: Yes, yes, yes, and you don't have to tell him.
- 14:55Speaker 11: I did that praise them on my own.
- 14:58Speaker 12: Okay, wow, okay, listen, I actually do the resize of
- 15:02Speaker 12: the ring. And first of all, let me be the
- 15:04Speaker 12: person to say congratulations. When is your wedding?
- 15:08Speaker 11: Thank you, I'm getting married in September.
- 15:10Speaker 12: Well, congratulations to you.
- 15:11Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 15:12Speaker 12: Listen, I don't know how to tell you this now.
- 15:14Speaker 12: As far as the appraisals concern, I've looked at your
- 15:17Speaker 12: ring over and over and this ring is probably worth
- 15:22Speaker 12: maybe fifty dollars.
- 15:24Speaker 11: Excuse me.
- 15:27Speaker 12: I've been in this business for over twenty years.
- 15:29Speaker 11: But you know what, I'm confused on what you just said.
- 15:32Speaker 12: And I understand that. What I'm trying to explain to
- 15:33Speaker 12: you is that I've been in this business for over
- 15:35Speaker 12: twenty years. I've seen so many different pieces of jewelry
- 15:38Speaker 12: and this is something that that you buy late night
- 15:42Speaker 12: on an infomercial for nineteen ninety nine. This is a
- 15:45Speaker 12: Cubic Ziconian stones and the gold is not real at all.
- 15:50Speaker 11: It's like cool, wait, wait, you lost me. You lost
- 15:53Speaker 11: me as much money as my fanmake and as much
- 15:56Speaker 11: money as my father is putting down on his wedding
- 15:59Speaker 11: or has put down, and you're.
- 16:00Speaker 12: Gonna I understand everything you're saying, but Denise, honestly, what.
- 16:04Speaker 11: I need you want to do is hold on. I
- 16:07Speaker 11: need you to hold on because we need to call Victor.
- 16:10Speaker 12: Wait. Wait, man. First of all, I can't wait wait, wait, wait,
- 16:15Speaker 12: hold on because stand wait wait, wait, what are you
- 16:21Speaker 12: trying to what are you trying to do, sir?
- 16:23Speaker 11: I need I need you to repeat because what you
- 16:26Speaker 11: just said to me.
- 16:27Speaker 12: Okay, little personal stuff.
- 16:30Speaker 11: Man, you oh you're in it.
- 16:32Speaker 13: It's personal now, So I need you to hold on.
- 16:34Speaker 11: Okay.
- 16:36Speaker 14: Oh she called her man, Hello, victim.
- 16:41Speaker 11: Faven, listen to this zilla that's on the phone. I
- 16:43Speaker 11: want you to hear.
- 16:44Speaker 13: It that he just told me, what's what's the problem?
- 16:46Speaker 11: What you mean, what's the problem. He's gonna tell you
- 16:48Speaker 11: what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir, gonna hit on.
- 16:50Speaker 14: Who Hello, Yeah, who is it?
- 16:53Speaker 12: My name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds. And actually your wife,
- 16:57Speaker 12: I mean where your fiance. Rather, she brought her ring
- 17:00Speaker 12: and to actually be resized, and we also did an
- 17:03Speaker 12: appraisal on the ring for her. And actually the ring
- 17:07Speaker 12: is estimated to be only in the worth of around
- 17:10Speaker 12: fifty dollars.
- 17:11Speaker 13: Fifty dollars dollars fifty that's what the man said.
- 17:16Speaker 14: Dollars in these holds these sir. Obviously there's some sort
- 17:19Speaker 14: of mistake, sir.
- 17:20Speaker 11: Now what you got to say about that?
- 17:22Speaker 14: Hold on fifty dollars? That's got to be some kind
- 17:25Speaker 14: of mistakes. So what did you say your name was sir.
- 17:27Speaker 12: My name is Gavin. I work here at Diamonds. I'm
- 17:29Speaker 12: the head jeweler here. I've been here for twenty years.
- 17:31Speaker 14: And there's no way that that ring is worth fifty dollars.
- 17:35Speaker 14: I know what I paid for it, So obviously there's
- 17:38Speaker 14: some sort of mistake.
- 17:39Speaker 12: There's not a mistake. I've been dealing with jewelry. I've
- 17:42Speaker 12: seen it. I can pretty much look at a ring.
- 17:44Speaker 12: But I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 17:46Speaker 12: I do all of them, and so I promise you
- 17:49Speaker 12: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars before
- 17:52Speaker 12: as workers should out.
- 17:53Speaker 14: Now, absolutely not. That's that's impossible.
- 17:56Speaker 13: How is that impossible?
- 17:57Speaker 11: He's a jeweler.
- 17:58Speaker 13: You heard him say, He've been doing it for twenty
- 18:01Speaker 13: Is that impossible? I don't under all the money that
- 18:03Speaker 13: my daddy putting down on this wedding, and you don't
- 18:05Speaker 13: pay fifty dollars you bought.
- 18:08Speaker 12: A cheap ring.
- 18:09Speaker 14: So no, no, no, I did not buy a tring.
- 18:12Speaker 14: This is this is this is obviously some kind of mistake.
- 18:14Speaker 14: You didn't got it.
- 18:14Speaker 11: You show got that right, You show got that right.
- 18:17Speaker 13: So what you got to say for yourself?
- 18:19Speaker 11: This dollar.
- 18:20Speaker 14: Okay, you cannot believe that that's right. That's this is
- 18:23Speaker 14: obviously some.
- 18:24Speaker 13: Kind of Oh it has a mistake of respect of
- 18:27Speaker 13: thinking I'm gonna get married to the man of my dream.
- 18:29Speaker 12: I do have the engagement ring that was purchased and
- 18:32Speaker 12: bought for your wife.
- 18:33Speaker 14: No, I don't think you.
- 18:34Speaker 15: I would think you do.
- 18:35Speaker 14: I don't think you have my rings, because if you
- 18:36Speaker 14: have my ring, you wouldn't be telling me this worth
- 18:38Speaker 14: fifty dollars.
- 18:39Speaker 12: Sure, I have the ring that your wife, that your

- 22:46Speaker 1: but I don't have his last name. He said it
- 22:49Speaker 1: doesn't matter, but it does to me. Why does he
- 22:52Speaker 1: feel so strongly about that but not about marriage?
- 22:56Speaker 2: Well, here we go, people, please, here we go.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Let him have it.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And look, and I'm not old guy trying to act perfection.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I get it. I've lived with people before, I understand,
- 23:11Speaker 2: so please no, I ain't judge it because I have
- 23:13Speaker 2: done it myself, so this ain't a judgment. But when
- 23:18Speaker 2: you do it that way and you put the you
- 23:22Speaker 2: put the cart in front of the horse, it's just
- 23:25Speaker 2: gonna pull different. So now y'all have moved in together,
- 23:29Speaker 2: decided to have this family. Now he wants the baby
- 23:31Speaker 2: to have his last name, and you don't be cause
- 23:33Speaker 2: you don't have the last name. Now, if he'll give
- 23:36Speaker 2: the baby the last name, which you are carrying for
- 23:40Speaker 2: the life of the child, for your benefit and for
- 23:43Speaker 2: his benefit, but he don't want to give you the
- 23:46Speaker 2: last name. That don't make no sense. Excuse me, but
- 23:50Speaker 2: what are we doing here? And I think you just
- 23:52Speaker 2: found out you doing what he want to do, and
- 23:56Speaker 2: y'all always.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Have So what can she do now?
- 24:01Speaker 2: Well, you don't have to give him the boy demand's
- 24:03Speaker 2: last night. You don't have to you. All you gotta
- 24:05Speaker 2: do is list him on the birth certificate as the father.
- 24:08Speaker 1: As the father.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Yeah, because that baby coming out of your body. I
- 24:12Speaker 2: keep telling man, y'all keep talking and stuff, but women
- 24:15Speaker 2: are the only people that can produce another human life.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Y'all need to wake up man. So and when you
- 24:21Speaker 2: go to court, they're gonna side with her. I'm just
- 24:24Speaker 2: telling you, all.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Right, she wants to get married, though obviously she.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Should have wanted that, folks, she moved in, y'all. Y'all
- 24:31Speaker 2: not y'all tripping. You should have You should have waited
- 24:36Speaker 2: to have the baby when you were married. That's the
- 24:39Speaker 2: way it's supposed to go. Yeah, Now it didn't go
- 24:43Speaker 2: that way, So now you got to figure it out.
- 24:45Speaker 2: How do you demand so just until you marry me,
- 24:49Speaker 2: the child will keep my name. That's all to it, period,
- 24:54Speaker 2: all right. If he wanted so bad, then y'all go
- 24:58Speaker 2: down there and get.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Married, right, all right. Moving on to Melanie and Tampa.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Melanie writes, one of my husband's friends came by to
- 25:07Speaker 1: get my husband's drill. My husband was on a call,
- 25:10Speaker 1: so I let his friend in and we talked for
- 25:13Speaker 1: a minute. After the guy left, my husband called me, chatty.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Was I not supposed to talk to a guest in
- 25:19Speaker 1: our home?
- 25:20Speaker 2: Wait a minute?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Okay? When the guy came over to borrow her husband
- 25:25Speaker 1: oh drill?
- 25:25Speaker 2: He didn't call. He came over to bar the drill.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah, he came by to borrow the drill. Her husband
- 25:31Speaker 1: was on a call, so he couldn't deal with the guy.
- 25:34Speaker 1: She let him in and they talked, and when her
- 25:36Speaker 1: husband got off the call, he was like, oh, well,
- 25:38Speaker 1: aren't you chatty? You know?
- 25:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I understand where he coming from that way,
- 25:43Speaker 2: But then, hey, dog, you should have just said, hey,
- 25:46Speaker 2: tell him I'm on a call. Tell him to come
- 25:48Speaker 2: back in about thirty minutes. That's what the man should
- 25:51Speaker 2: have did. Well, But if you leave it on her,
- 25:54Speaker 2: she standing up there just talking with the man until
- 25:57Speaker 2: you get off the phone. Now you why y'all stay
- 26:02Speaker 2: where people could just come up knock on your door.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I don't have that relationship with no neighbor.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Well, I mean, I think they knew he was coming,
- 26:10Speaker 1: but you know, sometimes you get a call and you
- 26:12Speaker 1: gotta take it.
- 26:13Speaker 7: I guess he need to get some tools. He need
- 26:16Speaker 7: to get his own drill.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Stop borrowing.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Why don't you quit fixing? Still? Are you able to
- 26:25Speaker 2: fix it? Can I borrow your drills?
- 26:30Speaker 1: She does, I don't like all that borrowing. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:35Speaker 1: crazy m Well yeah, he got upset, So she's asking
- 26:40Speaker 1: was she not supposed to talk to him? He's a guest.
- 26:43Speaker 1: She was just you know, keeping him company till her
- 26:45Speaker 1: husband got off the call. I guess, well, all right.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Moving on to Dre and silver Lake, Dre writes, my
- 26:52Speaker 1: wife is all over me, and I need space. If
- 26:56Speaker 1: I'm in the shower, she comes in. When I'm on
- 26:58Speaker 1: the couch, she's either wedged under me or lying across
- 27:02Speaker 1: my body. I used to love this kind of clingingness, clinginess,
- 27:06Speaker 1: So why am I feeling unaffectionate all of a sudden
- 27:09Speaker 1: because you're married? Wait?
- 27:13Speaker 15: What?
- 27:14Speaker 2: Because you're married and the newness has worn off? And
- 27:23Speaker 2: did they say how long they were married?
- 27:25Speaker 1: S No, uh huh. She's just all over him right now.
- 27:29Speaker 1: If he's in the shower, he says, he needs his space.
- 27:31Speaker 1: He's in the shower. She comes in there, she's lying.
- 27:34Speaker 2: See before you didn't have no problem with her coming
- 27:36Speaker 2: in the shower. Yeah you wanted all that. But now
- 27:40Speaker 2: that you've got her, here we go. So the shame
- 27:44Speaker 2: thing it took, uh oh to get your old baby hooked,
- 27:50Speaker 2: that's going to take the same thing to keep her.
- 27:56Speaker 2: As an old blues song about that same thing it
- 27:59Speaker 2: took to get your baby hook is gonna take the
- 28:02Speaker 2: same thing to keep him. You didn't have no problem
- 28:04Speaker 2: with that early on. Now you do, which leads to
- 28:08Speaker 2: a bigger problem because the person that you are today
- 28:11Speaker 2: is not the same person that you were when you
- 28:14Speaker 2: got married.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Change is always happening, that's constant.
- 28:19Speaker 2: So now you don't like that no more.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Now he says he needs space.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Okay, all right, gonna tell her that. Now what you
- 28:26Speaker 2: gotta be careful of is how much space you gonna get.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Oh oh you need space? Okay, yeah, yeah, y face.
- 28:33Speaker 2: See see you can go from don't be touching all
- 28:36Speaker 2: on me too when the last time you touch.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Me, don't touch me, don't touch me? Uh uh you
- 28:43Speaker 1: need space.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Remember, yeah, yeah, you gotta work on that dog.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, So what should he I mean, work on it.
- 28:50Speaker 1: How just change his mindset? What is he gonna do?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna have to You're gonna have to keep liking.
- 28:55Speaker 15: Him, all right.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Last one Steve moving on to Irma in Memphis, Irma writes,
- 29:05Speaker 1: a mutual friend hooked me up with the man that
- 29:07Speaker 1: I'm dating. The guy said he doesn't want a commitment,
- 29:10Speaker 1: just someone to have fun with. By fun, he means sex.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I'm beyond that stage of my life unless we're in
- 29:17Speaker 1: a committed relationship. He said he loves a challenge. Is
- 29:20Speaker 1: he going to try to make me have sex?
- 29:23Speaker 2: Of course he just had. He loved a challenge, so
- 29:29Speaker 2: he coming in. This is the goal. He gonna try
- 29:31Speaker 2: to break you. So's't nobody not trying trying. But here's
- 29:38Speaker 2: what you should do. You should just break this off
- 29:41Speaker 2: for the challenge, get started, because look, that's not what
- 29:44Speaker 2: I'm trying to do, and you ain't trying to be
- 29:48Speaker 2: in a committed relationship. You just want to have fun.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Then go have to just have fun somewhere else when
- 29:53Speaker 2: you're ready for something more. I'm over here. That's what
- 29:56Speaker 2: you should.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Do, Hopefully she will on Irma. Irma is her name.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Irma That's why she said, I'm beyond that stage in
- 30:09Speaker 1: my life.
- 30:09Speaker 2: I'm beyond that stage, right, Yeah, seventy six. Well, I'm
- 30:13Speaker 2: not goin to do it. Have somebody come in here
- 30:15Speaker 2: try to make me act like I'm farty to do this. Yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 2: don't cross cross.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Thank you, Celo. Coming up at the top of the hour,

- 50:06Speaker 2: it for it. You hear it is stra.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Type this in Steve subject my husband has a type?
- 50:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a thirty seven year old
- 50:17Speaker 1: married nurse and my husband is a doctor. I've heard
- 50:21Speaker 1: that he's cheating on me with one of the nurses
- 50:23Speaker 1: he works with. When I asked him about it, he
- 50:26Speaker 1: tried to throw me off by saying he loves nurses,
- 50:28Speaker 1: that's why he's with me. I am so tired of
- 50:31Speaker 1: him gaslighting me when I try to question him about cheating.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I found out from his coworkers that he's given this
- 50:37Speaker 1: lady a ride home before, and they go to lunch
- 50:40Speaker 1: a few times a month. If I ask about her,
- 50:42Speaker 1: he pushes back by saying he's working and hangs with
- 50:46Speaker 1: several co workers, not just her. In my hospital setting
- 50:50Speaker 1: where I work, I know that the doctors get really
- 50:52Speaker 1: flirty with the nurses and they hook up on long shifts.
- 50:56Speaker 1: He said, that's at my hospital and that doesn't happen.
- 51:00Speaker 1: And where he works, I've seen pictures of the woman after.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Her scrubs are always and her scrubs are always tight,
- 51:07Speaker 1: and she wears different lace front wigs, which is so
- 51:11Speaker 1: far from my appearance, especially at work. He started wearing
- 51:15Speaker 1: cologne to work, and he bought new sneakers. He never
- 51:18Speaker 1: wore sneakers to work before these rumors started. He told
- 51:22Speaker 1: me that I can listen to gossip and assume whatever
- 51:25Speaker 1: I want to. The last big thing he did was
- 51:28Speaker 1: stay out late, and then picture surfaced of him with
- 51:31Speaker 1: the woman and her son at a high school basketball game.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Of course, he said that she wasn't the only adult
- 51:38Speaker 1: there and he was there to see his cousin's son play.
- 51:41Speaker 1: His cousin does have a son that plays basketball. So
- 51:44Speaker 1: with this just a coincidence, I am to the point
- 51:47Speaker 1: of following him around to find out what he's up to.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Why won't he call my nerves if there's nothing really
- 51:54Speaker 1: going on with him and that woman, should I trust
- 51:56Speaker 1: my intuition and start tracking him. Well, you gotta always
- 52:01Speaker 1: always trust your intuition, no matter what it is. I mean,
- 52:05Speaker 1: these things he's telling you aren't lining up with what
- 52:07Speaker 1: he's doing. Plus, you saw the post of him at
- 52:11Speaker 1: the game with that woman. You saw with your own eyes.
- 52:13Speaker 1: He's wearing cologne. Now he's wearing new sneakers. Listen, when
- 52:18Speaker 1: there's a change in a man's behavior, it's usually a
- 52:21Speaker 1: sign that something's going on. Okay, he didn't wear cologne before.
- 52:25Speaker 1: What was wrong with his old shoes? Okay, now everything's new,
- 52:29Speaker 1: because yeah, while all of a sudden, is he switching
- 52:31Speaker 1: things up? Or who is he switching things up for?
- 52:35Speaker 1: You're simply asking him what's going on, and he's being dismissive. Oh,
- 52:40Speaker 1: they might do that at your hospital, but not where
- 52:42Speaker 1: I work, he says. And he said, you can assume
- 52:46Speaker 1: whatever you want to. He knows you're upset. He knows
- 52:49Speaker 1: you're feeling a certain kind of way, and he knows
- 52:52Speaker 1: you need some reassurance, but he just ignores your feelings
- 52:56Speaker 1: and continues to lie and gaslight you as your husband,
- 53:00Speaker 1: and he should be doing whatever he can to put
- 53:02Speaker 1: your mind at ease, because once that trust is broken,
- 53:05Speaker 1: you may never ever get that back. Your husband's playing
- 53:08Speaker 1: a dangerous games. It's kind of crazy with this nurse,
- 53:11Speaker 1: and he's playing with your marriage. It's gonna lead him
- 53:14Speaker 1: straight to divorce.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Steve, Yeah, I'm sort of mixed about this letter here
- 53:24Speaker 2: because on one hand, it seems like I get in
- 53:30Speaker 2: an overall sense that he doesn't really care what you think.
- 53:34Speaker 2: He really don't, because I've never seen a guy not
- 53:37Speaker 2: try to fix it any better than him. And then
- 53:41Speaker 2: but some of the things that you have a couple
- 53:43Speaker 2: of the things don't make no sense to me. So
- 53:45Speaker 2: your thirty seven year old married nurse and your husband
- 53:49Speaker 2: is a doctor. This letter's kind of confusing to me.
- 53:53Speaker 2: I don't really know what's going on here because I
- 53:57Speaker 2: kind of feel like, Manute, it sound like you had
- 54:01Speaker 2: the wrong reasons to feel this way. But then the
- 54:04Speaker 2: rest of the letter makes me feel like this guy's
- 54:06Speaker 2: really really arrogant, and he don't really care what you feel.
- 54:09Speaker 2: So your thirty seven year old married nurse. Your husband's
- 54:13Speaker 2: a doctor. I've heard that he's cheating on me with
- 54:16Speaker 2: one of the nurses he works with. Now right there,
- 54:19Speaker 2: that was his say. I wouldn't put a lot into that,
- 54:22Speaker 2: but that kind of put your antennas back, because that's
- 54:26Speaker 2: a random thing to hear, and especially when it's the
- 54:29Speaker 2: person you with, why they say it about somebody else.
- 54:34Speaker 2: When I asked him about it, he tried to throw
- 54:36Speaker 2: me off by saying he loves nurses and that's why
- 54:39Speaker 2: he's with me. What that right there? That's crazy? Are
- 54:44Speaker 2: you seeing the nurse down there on your job? Girl?
- 54:47Speaker 2: You know I love nurses, That's why I'm with you.
- 54:50Speaker 2: So that also says that's why I'm with her, which
- 54:55Speaker 2: makes me think he's arrogant. But he's stupid. I'm tired
- 54:59Speaker 2: of him gas and me, so now I try to
- 55:01Speaker 2: question him about cheating. I found out from his coworkers
- 55:04Speaker 2: that he's giving the lady a ride home before and
- 55:07Speaker 2: they go to lunch a few times a week. If
- 55:09Speaker 2: I ask about it, he pushes back by saying he's
- 55:11Speaker 2: working at hangs with several coworkers. We not talking about that. See,
- 55:16Speaker 2: you don't know how to question your man. He works
- 55:20Speaker 2: with several coworkers. You're not talking about the several. You're
- 55:23Speaker 2: talking about her several co workers, not just her and
- 55:28Speaker 2: my Now the lady goes back to saying, my hospital,
- 55:30Speaker 2: sitting where I work, I know that the doctors can
- 55:33Speaker 2: get flooded with the nurses and they hook up on
- 55:35Speaker 2: long ships. He said that at my hospital. That don't
- 55:40Speaker 2: happen where he worked. Then you come back and say,
- 55:44Speaker 2: I've seen pictures of the woman, and her scrubs are
- 55:46Speaker 2: always tight, and she wears different lace front wigs, which
- 55:49Speaker 2: is so far from my appearance, especially at work. Well,
- 55:53Speaker 2: she'd work with a should work with a mission. Let
- 55:57Speaker 2: me get these scrubs a little bit tighter, and let
- 56:01Speaker 2: me put the I give me some more wheels. He
- 56:04Speaker 2: started worring that this one I want.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I want to come back to hang it. Hang on,
- 56:09Speaker 1: see we'll have part two. Just keep it right there.
- 56:12Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 56:14Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject

- 56:56Speaker 4: Everybody game, all right?
- 56:58Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap to Strawberry letter. You said
- 57:01Speaker 1: you're a little torn on this one. The subject is
- 57:03Speaker 1: my husbands the type.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Because the god, the reasons you have don't add up,
- 57:10Speaker 2: and then the reasons you do have add up, but
- 57:12Speaker 2: you don't want to believe what they're adding up to.
- 57:15Speaker 2: This doctor's arrogant. He's arrogant, he's stupid, and he don't care.
- 57:22Speaker 2: So you got a problem, lady. I'm gonna married nurse
- 57:27Speaker 2: thirty seven years Will the husband that's a doctor. You
- 57:30Speaker 2: hear rumored that he's cheating on you. When I'm asking
- 57:33Speaker 2: him about it, he says he loves nurses. That's why
- 57:37Speaker 2: he's with me. Now, that's like what because all you
- 57:42Speaker 2: just said is, yeah, I like nurses, that's why I'm
- 57:46Speaker 2: with you. But the other lady the rumor is a nurse.
- 57:50Speaker 2: So that was like an stupid admission of guilt, but
- 57:53Speaker 2: then a very arrogant thing to say. At the same time,
- 57:56Speaker 2: I'm so tired of him gas like me. When I
- 57:58Speaker 2: questioned him about cheating, I found out from his coworkers
- 58:01Speaker 2: he's giving his lady a ride home before and they
- 58:03Speaker 2: go to lunch a few times of work a few
- 58:05Speaker 2: times a month. If I ask her about it, he
- 58:07Speaker 2: push you back, saying he works and hangs out with
- 58:10Speaker 2: several coworkers. You're not talking about several co workers were
- 58:14Speaker 2: talking about her. Where you going with this pond? Because
- 58:17Speaker 2: he don't care and he can get away with telling
- 58:20Speaker 2: you a little minimal information like this, and you let
- 58:24Speaker 2: it go because you don't even know how to question
- 58:26Speaker 2: your man. And then you say it in your hospital.
- 58:31Speaker 2: You know, doctors get flirted with all the nurses. He
- 58:34Speaker 2: said at my hospital. That don't happen where he worked.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Then you say you saw some pictures of the woman.
- 58:40Speaker 2: Her scrubs is always tighten you with a different lace
- 58:43Speaker 2: front wig, which is so far from my opinions at work.
- 58:47Speaker 2: So how you going to work? How your hair? You
- 58:57Speaker 2: ain't putting it in makeup. You ain't want them to
- 59:00Speaker 2: case or whatever. I don't know what's happening with children.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Now here's the part that threw me a little bit. Sureley.
- 59:07Speaker 2: He started wearing cologne to work and he bought new sneakers.
- 59:11Speaker 2: Yeah he a doctor. He came by on new sneakers.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Yeah, well.
- 59:17Speaker 2: He wear cologne. He never WoT sneakers to work before
- 59:21Speaker 2: these rumors started. I'm trying to figure out what the
- 59:24Speaker 2: sneakers got to do with cheating. He bought some new sneakers.
- 59:28Speaker 2: He didn't buy hunting, no sneakers. He bought some new sneakers.
- 59:31Speaker 2: What should you know?
- 59:32Speaker 1: When men change their behavior, when they start wearing cologne,
- 59:36Speaker 1: when they start buying new underwear, all that stuff is something.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Something's up, you know.
- 59:41Speaker 2: I don't know what did. But he bought unless they
- 59:45Speaker 2: creeping around and he can't hit it like what he
- 59:48Speaker 2: been wearing tap shoes to work because now he got
- 59:53Speaker 2: him something. Some nikes, folks won. He told me, I
- 59:59Speaker 2: can the Gospels and assume whatever I wanted to. That's crazy. Hey,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: you can listen to gobs and soon whatever you want to.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: That's how you say that to your wife. That's why
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: we having this conversation because she didn't assume what she
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: wanted to. The last big thing he did was stay
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: out late and near pitch a surface of him with
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: that woman and her son at a high school basketball game.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Of course, he said that she wasn't the only adult there. Yeah,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: it was a crowd. What why you let this man
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: talk to you like this way? She wasn't the only
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: adult there, and he was there to see his cousin
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: son play. We last time you went to the basketball
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: games to see your cousin son.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Your behavior.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: I ain't never want to see my cousins child do
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: nothing nothing? Then you stupid? So he cousin do have
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: a son to play basketball? So was that just a coincidence? Girl?
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Why was he over that sitting with her? I'm at
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: the point of following him around to find out what
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: he's up to. Why won't he calm my nerves as
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: there's nothing going on with him and that woman? Well,
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: the question is why are you so gullible? Why are
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: you so stupid. Why you're not asking him the right things?
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: And why are you letting him just tell you anything?
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Should I trust my tuition and start tracking him? Why
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: don't you just trust your intuition? You ain't got to tracking.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: They're sending you pictures of him. But if you want
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: to go into blood hold mode, go ahead, Yeah, go
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: ahead and track it like life ain't busy enough gone
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: track it? Yeah, But I'm gonna tell you right now,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: you are going to find whatever it is you're looking for. Yeah,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: And then what you're gonna tell yourself and what he
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: gonna tell you? Everybody have affairs?
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: What you're ting for with nurses? Because I like nurses,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I tell you know, I like nurses. What about the
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: line that she says, Steve, I know that doctors get
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: really flirty with nurses and they hook up on long shifts.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: She said that.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but now he told her, we don't do that
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: over my hospital.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe that's They.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Do that on all the shows I don't seen on TV. Behind.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: They did it on Gray's Anatomy. They do it on
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: a House, They did it on a R Yeah, they
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: do it on all that. They did it on Mash
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: They got together in the hospital in Vietnam.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I know here, well, yes, yes, yes, he's just being
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: dismissive and he is gaslighting.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Her and you let him tell you anything?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Yeah and wow?
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: All right?

- 1:03:19Speaker 1: And right now you're listening too, that's Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: This is from Nodah on Steve Harvey FM. Nodah writes,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: I really don't like my teenage daughter's best friend, and
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I'm not sure what I can really do about it.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: She's rude, dismissive, and disrespectful, but my daughter absolutely adores her.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I can't shake the feeling that this girl is a
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: bad influence. I know how important friendships are at that age,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and I don't want to push my daughter away by
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: criticizing someone she cares about. But I have my limits
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: on what I can put up with. Should I step
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: in and limit my daughter's exposure to this bad influence?
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Or is this one of those situations where I need
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: to let her figure it out on her own.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: How old is the daughter?
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: She doesn't say. It's a teenager, though, but she doesn't
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: say how old.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Well, I'll say this again. Two most important things you
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: can provide for your child. Love and guidance. Yes, don't
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: ever stop guiding. Folks, don't ever stop guiding, because whether
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: they realize it or not, you do know, you really
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: do know how many times I heard, daddy, it ain't
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: like that. No more. Okay, but this is though.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I got all you said.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, Well it wasn't no technology, wh no
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: phone camera, got all that. This hit the same.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Yeah, we just won't be posting it, but it's the same.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: So so how should her mom approach it?
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: I don't know, hell, and I don't know the baby. Okay,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: well you know sure I can't help everybody. I just
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: told her don't.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, she doesn't want to, you know, turn her
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: daughter off that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Her daughter Okay, okay, okay, we'll go on and be
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: her friend in there. See That's what the frustration of
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: these parents today is you so busy worrying about whether
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: you liked or not that you sit there and watch
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: your child make a mistake.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: You know you can't do that. You got to say something,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: for sure, You have to. You got to say something,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: all right, all right, we do have time for another one.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Alicia and Steve HARVEYFM says, I've been dating my boyfriend
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: for a few months and he lives with a close
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: friend who's always been super nice and welcoming. But I've
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: started noticing something uncomfortable. When we're in my boyfriend's room
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: being intimate. The TV in the living room suddenly gets
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: quiet or pauses, and more than once it felt like
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: his roommate might be listening outside the door. How do
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I bring this up to my boyfriend?
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: What? Why don't you just bring it up?
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Yes, say something or open the door.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Man? Yeah, just why don't you say something to your boyfriend? Ladies,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: why are y'all sitting in these lives with these men
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: and then waiting to see how they what they gonna
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: do with you? You do know you have a right here,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: You have a voice, You have a say so, you
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: have a voice, Your opinion counts and matters. Yeah, Now,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: the moment you let a person think, the moment you
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: let a man think that your opinion and your voice
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: don't matter. He don't listen right.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Right, then he's free to do his own thing because
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: he knows.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Man, Please, this ain't that big a deal. Ask your boyfriend?
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Does it feel weird to you? And weird? And here
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: he turned the TV down to feel like he up
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: against the door. Don't you You don't feel that because well,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: he don't know, because we in that.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: We don't care because he's busy.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Focus, focus.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Yeah, she should definitely say something, definitely wow, But she
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: just wants to know how should she bring it up?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: You're just saying, just say it, period.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Just bring it up? So no, no, you don't.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Say it at the time, at that moment when she
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: hears it? Or wait, don't.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: When?
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: When?
- 1:07:34Speaker 12: Not?
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: How?
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: When?
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: When should she bring.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: You hear that? Maybe listen? Don't stop though, stop listening?
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Stop stop, I got to what you waste?
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: Stop?
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: All right, we get the picture. Thank you guys. Coming
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: up next, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning show.

- 1:12:11Speaker 1: one would be worse though, the best friend or the
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: worst enemy?
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: They both worse that enemy?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, your biggest hater, the worst I think. Yeah,

- 1:12:43Speaker 2: I'm on d block, you know, I mean, I know
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: I'm on d block.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: All right, all right? Would you rather eat all black
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: jelly beans? Or would you rather eat one big marshmallow
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: bunny this Easter? Black jelly beans or marshmallow bunny?
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: I don't like eating money them black. I thought that's
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: the worst one.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I love those, man, I love Yes, those are my favorites. Yes,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: that's why.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: The whole marshmallow bunny with the little Christians.

- 1:14:21Speaker 4: Everybody games.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: the day on this Tuesday. It's been a good day
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: and we want to say thank you as always to
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: our beautiful loyal audience. Who's right who rides with us
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: every single day, Steve every single day.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: And speaking of riding, I want I want to I
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: will have some clothes remarks. You know what, y'all, It's
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: still okay to be decent. It's still okay to be
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: guided and led by the truth. It's still okay to
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: do the right thing. It's really a requirement of ours
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: that we are at least decent. We're not gonna be perfect,
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: I ain't talking about that, but we can still be
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: decent and honest. We can still be forthright people. Why
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: are we allowing ourselves to be guided by people that
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: are not doing that? Man, we gotta be careful out here. Y'all.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: We are flooded and inundated with so much fake news,
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: so much false prophecy, so much ideology, ideology that's going
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: so many different ways. Who cares?
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: Look?
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Nick Cannon was in the news recently that he rolled
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: with Trump and Democrats as KKK okay cool now, an
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: element to that had a little hint of truth in
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: it back in the day. But that may still be
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: some Democrats that's in the KKK. There are Republicans that
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: are in the KKK, the Confederate Union, all this here,
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: all this stuff exists, but you don't have to take
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: part of that. You don't have to listen to that.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Who cares what Nick Cannon think? Who cares what Amberrollse think?
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Who care what NICKI Minaj think? When these people come out,
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: these celebrities and they make these statements that go against
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: what you think. These celebrities are people and they are
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: subject to aaron flaw. I've made a lot of mistakes
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: in my career. I have made a ton of mistakes.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: I probably just said some stuff you don't agree with.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: But I'm asking you today, man, to don't lose your
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: decency over what's happening today. Stop allowing somebody who's not
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: presenting himself in a righteous fashion to keep leading you.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I am actually stunned sometimes at some of the stuff
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: this president says. Look, man, you should still require that
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: a president act presidential. Look, man, I don't care if
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: you voted for Trump. I don't care if you voted
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: for Kamala Harris. It doesn't make me a difference at
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: this point, because the fact of the matter is Donald
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Trump is the president. But I'm not going to lower
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: my requirements on my standards for him just because he's
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: in office. We still should expect our president to be decent,
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: We still should expect him to do the right thing.
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: But he's not. And the sad part for me is
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: that we're sitting here acting like we have nothing we
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: can say or do about this. I'm really surprised at
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: the Republican Party, how they bowed down and allowed this
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: man to just run amuck and do whatever he wanted
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: to do, and ain't nobody checking him. When I'm sitting
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: here knowing, you know this ain't right. You know this
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: ain't right, man. You know the way he took Man,
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: he just talked about that Saudi prince over there, that
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: he gonna kiss his a and all this here. Hey man,
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: that ain't that ain't what you want to do. Because
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: when this conflict ends, however it ends or comes to
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: a close or cease fire, some type of treaty, do
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: you know much or all? Come out that country over there.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: You think these people ain't gonna remember this. You think
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: these Gulf states, these Gulf nations are not gonna remember that.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: You came over there, didn't forewarn them, didn't have a
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: NATO alliance, didn't come to your congress, didn't do anything.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: You just went over there and bombed a neighboring country,
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: and nobody figured out that there was going to be
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: some retaliation from that country call Iran, that has ninety
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: two million people in it. And so now they starting
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: to bomb the military basis, the units in these neighboring countries.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: That's crazy, man. Well we didn't see that coming.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: What.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: Oh you didn't think they were gonna fight back. Oh,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: we thought they were just gonna get bombed. And they
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: weren't gonna shoot back at nothing. The Strait of Hamos
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: is closed. Now he's talking about they want to name
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: that the Strait of Trump and rename that. And man,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: what it's so much craziness going on y'all around here.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: Keep your faith where it needs to be in God.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: Don't put your faith in these men. All of them
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: will let you down because they are men now all
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: over the place with this. But I don't know, really,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: I'm just mad because there's so many of us allowing
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: so many people. And I know a lot of people
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: who started out as decent people who are sitting here
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: watching this mess and going along with it and have
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: thrown their decency to the side because it's the popular
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: thing to do. Well, I'm not doing it. I don't
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: care who you are, what your name is. I don't
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: follow you no way. I be flipping through the some
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: of the pages sometime I hear people wright saying negative
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: stuff about me. A BYuT my family man, y'all don't
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: know me or them by whatever. I ain't got no
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: time for you. But you will not affect me, though
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: you will not having me change the person that God
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: created to me to created me to be. I'm not
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: gonna change that. So I'm gonna try to take the
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: high road as much as I can. If you see
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: me on the low road, forgive me. I just went
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: down there for a little while because I just got
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: tired of being on the high road. That's all it was.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: I just today I don't feel like the high road.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: Ah yeah, have a nice day. I really feel like
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: slapping somebody to day, Old Steve getting on that low
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: road again. My bad job. Right quick, I have a
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: great day. Talk to God, he'd love to talk to you.
