- 2:23Speaker 6: care what it is. If you're trying to be successful,
- 2:27Speaker 6: this message is for you. Let me help you understand
- 2:30Speaker 6: something real clear. You ain't gonna make it the way
- 2:34Speaker 6: you want to, and you're not going to make it
- 2:37Speaker 6: to the heights that's fully out there and available for
- 2:41Speaker 6: you without God. And I'm just keep it real simple
- 2:44Speaker 6: and clean for you today. You're not going to make
- 2:47Speaker 6: it the way you want to, and you're not going
- 2:51Speaker 6: to get to the heights that's available to you without God.
- 2:56Speaker 6: You have to get this through your head. You can
- 3:00Speaker 6: try it if you want to, because I did. I'm
- 3:02Speaker 6: here to tell you I am talking purely from experience.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Here you can try it without God, and you can
- 3:09Speaker 6: see how far you can get. Will you have some
- 3:12Speaker 6: measures of success? Of course you will. Will it feel
- 3:16Speaker 6: like days like you might make it? Of course you will.
- 3:19Speaker 6: But let me ask you a question, though. What you're
- 3:21Speaker 6: gonna do about them days when you feel like you
- 3:23Speaker 6: ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do about them
- 3:25Speaker 6: days where it feel like there are no answers to
- 3:28Speaker 6: your questions. What you're gonna do about them days? What
- 3:30Speaker 6: you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing at you,
- 3:33Speaker 6: turn against you. What you're gonna do about them, days
- 3:36Speaker 6: when you just don't see no way through it? What
- 3:39Speaker 6: you're gonna do about them days? I got the sunshine?
- 3:42Speaker 6: You know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends? When it's sunny outside.
- 3:45Speaker 6: You want some friends, hit the lotto, You wanna get
- 3:48Speaker 6: rid of them friends, Go ask for some help.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Man.
- 3:50Speaker 6: I'm talking about man. They scattered like roaches when lights
- 3:53Speaker 6: come on. I'm trying to tell you, so, now here
- 3:56Speaker 6: we go again. You can do this without God. Now,
- 3:59Speaker 6: because I've done it and you can have yourself some
- 4:01Speaker 6: measure success. Let me even hip you to a little
- 4:04Speaker 6: bit closer, though, let me tell you why you are
- 4:07Speaker 6: doing it without God and having some measure of success.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Can I tell you why?
- 4:12Speaker 6: Because of God's grace and mercy to us, because of
- 4:15Speaker 6: his grace and mercy trying to keep us in spite
- 4:19Speaker 6: of ourself for the real mission that He really got
- 4:22Speaker 6: for us. See that's the truth of the matter now
- 4:24Speaker 6: now what we're talking about, nasty See. So yeah, yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 6: you can do it without God and you can have
- 4:29Speaker 6: some measure of success without God. And yeah, you know,
- 4:32Speaker 6: yeah you got your little degree and everything, or yeah
- 4:34Speaker 6: you completed the program God, all that, YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 4:38Speaker 6: But don't you know something. It's because of God's grace
- 4:41Speaker 6: and mercy that he helps us anyway, well, even when
- 4:44Speaker 6: we ain't asking for help, When he bails us out anyway,
- 4:47Speaker 6: when wein't even ask him to be bailed out. You
- 4:49Speaker 6: know why, because He love us that much that he
- 4:52Speaker 6: would allow us to exist until we get our mind
- 4:55Speaker 6: together where he could take us away, really trying to
- 4:57Speaker 6: take us. Let's get this real straighting clear today You
- 5:01Speaker 6: can do this without God if you want to. But
- 5:04Speaker 6: I am telling you to get to where you really
- 5:07Speaker 6: want to be and to be all that God has
- 5:10Speaker 6: for you. You got to have God. That is no
- 5:13Speaker 6: ifs ads, but about it. And let me tell you
- 5:16Speaker 6: this here. I don't really care what nobody.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Then told you.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Are you listening to me? I don't care what they say.
- 5:24Speaker 6: Don't get this thing twisted. They got these people out
- 5:27Speaker 6: here talking about they illuminatis and all. Listen, man, don't
- 5:31Speaker 6: listen to me. Don't get caught in this mess. Don't
- 5:34Speaker 6: get caught in no foolishness. You were created by God.
- 5:39Speaker 6: God created you and your soul. We were all created
- 5:42Speaker 6: in His image, all of us. Don't get to talking
- 5:46Speaker 6: about you.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Finish. Cut a deal with the devil and all you
- 5:48Speaker 1: ain't cutting no deal with nobody.
- 5:50Speaker 7: Man.
- 5:50Speaker 1: The devil don't do deals. He one sided. I'm taking
- 5:54Speaker 1: you to hell. You going to hell.
- 5:56Speaker 6: You're burning here, that's his deal. I want your soul.
- 5:59Speaker 6: I want you to lose hope. I want you to
- 6:01Speaker 6: take your life. I want you to take some other
- 6:03Speaker 6: people's lives. I want you to feel hopeless. I want
- 6:06Speaker 6: you to realize that it ain't no God, that's his
- 6:09Speaker 6: whole deal. His whole deal is negative. Oh he can
- 6:12Speaker 6: talk you in the deal in drugs if you want to.
- 6:14Speaker 6: But let me tell you.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Something about this.
- 6:15Speaker 6: I watch these shows all the time, drug inc And
- 6:18Speaker 6: all this here cocaine mafia. Everybody on now go to
- 6:23Speaker 6: jail and get killed. Our prisons is filled today with
- 6:26Speaker 6: our young boys because they thought they can outslick the system.
- 6:29Speaker 6: They thought they had away, they thought they sitting up
- 6:33Speaker 6: been here, and they failed. For the old cliche, man,
- 6:35Speaker 6: I gotta do what I gotta do, I gotta get
- 6:37Speaker 6: this money. Well, the only reason you gotta do what
- 6:39Speaker 6: you gotta do is because, like I say all the time,
- 6:41Speaker 6: you didn't do what you were supposed to do. It
- 6:43Speaker 6: is but because of His grace and mercy that we exist,
- 6:47Speaker 6: and God is just taking care of you, looking out
- 6:50Speaker 6: for you. Got some angels and camped around you until
- 6:53Speaker 6: you get your mind right so he can get you
- 6:54Speaker 6: where you're going. But now I want you to understand something.
- 6:57Speaker 6: There's a cost and a consequence and a penial for
- 7:00Speaker 6: everything we do. This outside the will of God. That's
- 7:03Speaker 6: for all of us. All of us have consequences, penalties
- 7:07Speaker 6: and everything that we got to deal with outside of
- 7:11Speaker 6: the will of God. Understand that clearly. Don't get this
- 7:15Speaker 6: thing twisted sideways. You understand me.
- 7:19Speaker 3: You know.
- 7:19Speaker 6: I heard a young man tell me one day. He said, Steve,
- 7:22Speaker 6: you know, man, I just don't see how God looking
- 7:24Speaker 6: out for me, if he would allow all these things
- 7:26Speaker 6: to happen to me. I'm having such a hard time
- 7:29Speaker 6: in my life. I really don't see how there's a
- 7:32Speaker 6: God looking out for me. I lived a young man.
- 7:35Speaker 6: I said, in the man, ask you something. Man, you're
- 7:37Speaker 6: still breathing. He said, yeah, I'm standing here talking to you.
- 7:40Speaker 6: I said, you're still free. He said what you mean.
- 7:42Speaker 6: I said, you ain't locked up, are you? He said no,
- 7:44Speaker 6: I'm standing here talking to you. I said, where you
- 7:46Speaker 6: get them clothes from?
- 7:47Speaker 1: I bought him. I said, well, you bought them with
- 7:49Speaker 1: what I bought them with money. I said where you
- 7:51Speaker 1: get the money from? Young Joe.
- 7:52Speaker 6: So I got job, mister I got a job. I said, well,
- 7:56Speaker 6: well where you live though, he'said, I got apartment. I
- 7:59Speaker 6: said where you get the apartment from, mister Harvey, I'm working.
- 8:02Speaker 6: I got an apartment.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I got a job.
- 8:04Speaker 6: I said, okay, okay, So now this this God ain't
- 8:08Speaker 6: looking out for you. Think finish, finish telling me what
- 8:10Speaker 6: you're telling me. Well, see, man, I'm having it real
- 8:13Speaker 6: hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man, are you hungry?
- 8:17Speaker 6: Have you had lunch yet? He's yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 6: already had lunch.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 6: I said, oh, okay, okay, so gone finish telling me
- 8:24Speaker 6: about this how God ain't looking out for you? He said, oh.
- 8:27Speaker 6: And you know, man, every every time I try to
- 8:29Speaker 6: do something, it seemed like it go wrong for me.
- 8:32Speaker 6: I said, but let them let man something man, I said,
- 8:34Speaker 6: every time it go wrong for you, I say, somehow
- 8:36Speaker 6: you survive it. He said, yeah, yeah, I survive in
- 8:39Speaker 6: some kind of way, but it's still be all messed
- 8:41Speaker 6: up on me. I said, but but you still got
- 8:43Speaker 6: through it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man,
- 8:45Speaker 6: gone finish telling me how God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:49Speaker 6: And he stopped. He said, hey, miss Harvey, He said,
- 8:50Speaker 6: how come every time I tell you something that's going wrong,
- 8:53Speaker 6: you keep telling me God looking out for me? I said,
- 8:56Speaker 6: because you're still here, man, I said, See, you don't
- 8:58Speaker 6: understand it. I said, you see to think that you're
- 9:00Speaker 6: supposed to just you're supposed to skate through life. That
- 9:03Speaker 6: is all supposed to go how you want it, any
- 9:06Speaker 6: kind of way, I said, Man, thisesus the test to
- 9:07Speaker 6: your faith, I said, God looking out for you the
- 9:10Speaker 6: whole time. I said, every time you tell me something
- 9:12Speaker 6: going wrong, you seem to turn around and tell me
- 9:15Speaker 6: how you survived that. You keep telling me what ain't
- 9:17Speaker 6: going right, but you keep telling me all these things
- 9:19Speaker 6: you have. I said, man, so what you gotta do
- 9:21Speaker 6: is you got to stop looking at the what you
- 9:23Speaker 6: ain't got column and start focusing on what you do
- 9:26Speaker 6: have column. But if you ain't happy with nothing he'd
- 9:28Speaker 6: have done for you, you wanted to keep piling stuff on.
- 9:31Speaker 6: I said, you fail in the test, young man. The
- 9:33Speaker 6: test is are you grateful for where you are right now?
- 9:37Speaker 6: So I could give you more so we can move forward.
- 9:39Speaker 6: He said, oh, Man, never even looked at like that.
- 9:41Speaker 6: I said, well, why don't you take your blessed self
- 9:43Speaker 6: on somewhere and sit down? He said, I think I'm
- 9:45Speaker 6: going over here and let you finish talking. I said,
- 9:47Speaker 6: thank you. So sometimes you just got to look at
- 9:49Speaker 6: what you do God, folks, that's all it is. Okay,
- 9:52Speaker 6: you can't make it with our God, y'all you got
- 9:54Speaker 6: me today. All right, let's be clear, let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 6: It it's here, the Steve Harvey Morning Show sits upon
- 10:07Speaker 6: us another great day, another opportunity, another blessing. Man, How
- 10:12Speaker 6: good is it to be alive? How good is it
- 10:16Speaker 6: to be filled with another opportunity? To be given so
- 10:20Speaker 6: much grace? Whatever measure of health you may have, you
- 10:25Speaker 6: have it the ability to rhyme, reason or think, Oh Man,
- 10:30Speaker 6: thank you Lord.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I didn't take a lot of time to say.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Thank you this morning, so I'm stopping with a humble
- 10:37Speaker 6: heart to say thank you, Heavenly Father for all the
- 10:39Speaker 6: great gifts and blessings you bestowed upon me. Man, I
- 10:43Speaker 6: would be nothing without you. That's a fact, Man. That
- 10:47Speaker 6: ain't radio. That's a fact. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Charlie Strawberry,
- 10:52Speaker 6: Colin Farrell, Matha, the South Junior Government, name kills, faith
- 10:57Speaker 6: and the legend, Nephew Tomas Junior.
- 10:59Speaker 1: What's on your mind? Man's just stay right there. Let's
- 11:01Speaker 1: talk about that. Your gratitude. Well, what are some of
- 11:04Speaker 1: the things that you thank God for that most people miss?
- 11:07Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 11:08Speaker 6: I don't really know what most people miss. I really don't.
- 11:12Speaker 6: But it's the simplest things, man. It's that sometimes we
- 11:15Speaker 6: take for granted, like the ability to wake up in
- 11:19Speaker 6: the morning. I don't know if you realize it, but
- 11:20Speaker 6: you really don't have the ability to wake up. Oh,
- 11:23Speaker 6: you can set your alarm, but you do understand that
- 11:26Speaker 6: the alarm is just annoyed that goes off at a
- 11:29Speaker 6: specific time. Something. Somebody has to shake you to hear it.
- 11:36Speaker 6: Somebody has to give you the health and measure to
- 11:39Speaker 6: react to the sound that you set the time clock
- 11:42Speaker 6: for something. And it ain't iPhone people, it ain't Apple.
- 11:47Speaker 6: I can tell you that right now. Yeah, that that
- 11:51Speaker 6: gift of life and breath and wake it up is
- 11:55Speaker 6: only given by a heavenly fog. He's in control of
- 11:59Speaker 6: all of that. Now circumvent that if you want to,
- 12:01Speaker 6: you can cut it short. You can live a life
- 12:03Speaker 6: of crime and hatred and go around do what you
- 12:05Speaker 6: want to do. You can cut your life short. You
- 12:07Speaker 6: can dishonor your mother and father. It's a lot of
- 12:10Speaker 6: things you can do to you know, man, to cut
- 12:12Speaker 6: your life short. But if you ain't shooting for that,
- 12:16Speaker 6: that's God. God gives you grace.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Man.
- 12:18Speaker 6: So I think one of the basic things, man, is
- 12:20Speaker 6: just the ability to wake up and have a measure
- 12:23Speaker 6: of health. But I go so far as I think
- 12:26Speaker 6: I've gotten to the point now, Junior, where I'm able
- 12:29Speaker 6: to actually thank God for my hardships and my troubles.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Now that took some learning, Oh man, that took some learning.
- 12:37Speaker 1: But what I have learned though, is.
- 12:40Speaker 6: During the trials and tribulations and the hardships, all that
- 12:44Speaker 6: is is God preparing you for something you asked him for.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I look at my life and I look.
- 12:50Speaker 6: At it today and I realize, I say to myself, well,
- 12:54Speaker 6: God knew where I was going in life. I had
- 12:56Speaker 6: to be tough, so he toughened me in situations that
- 13:01Speaker 6: toughened me. He knew I was gonna have to be strong,
- 13:04Speaker 6: so he put me in a lot of situations that
- 13:06Speaker 6: I had to be that strengthened. He knew I had
- 13:09Speaker 6: to be caring, so he put a lot of trouble
- 13:11Speaker 6: people in my path that I could understand and be
- 13:15Speaker 6: so and show a sympathy for.
- 13:18Speaker 1: He knew all of that.
- 13:19Speaker 6: He knew that I was going to carry a heavy load,
- 13:23Speaker 6: so he made my backstrong all that.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Man, it just makes sense.
- 13:27Speaker 6: So now, man, when I get into hardships, I said, okay,
- 13:30Speaker 6: he getting me ready?
- 13:31Speaker 1: He finish, flip a switch on me. I just needed
- 13:33Speaker 1: to ask the test so I can get ready.
- 13:39Speaker 10: Coming up at the thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:41Speaker 10: it's the Nephew and run that break back right after this.

- 14:43Speaker 11: been you just had a.
- 14:45Speaker 12: Baby, right, Oh yeah, so that must have been a
- 14:47Speaker 12: long time ago. I sure did just have a baby,
- 14:50Speaker 12: she said. This is Brian.
- 14:51Speaker 11: Yeah, Brian, congratulations. How many months is it now?
- 14:54Speaker 12: It's been three months since I've had them?
- 14:56Speaker 1: Okay, all right, well congratulations to you.
- 14:58Speaker 11: Listen, we we're putting together a pot luck Christmas party
- 15:03Speaker 11: and we wanted to invite you out.
- 15:04Speaker 12: Oh okay, is this some kind of surprise or something?
- 15:08Speaker 11: Well, I I you know what I'm My job is
- 15:11Speaker 11: to call around since it's a pot luck and make
- 15:13Speaker 11: sure we get everybody to bring something. What I wanted
- 15:15Speaker 11: to do is I told her she should invite her sister.
- 15:18Speaker 11: I'm sure your sister. I was just saying you probably
- 15:20Speaker 11: hadn't been able to get out since the baby, and
- 15:22Speaker 11: maybe you would want to get out.
- 15:23Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 15:23Speaker 12: Yeah you said that, I've been trapped in this house
- 15:26Speaker 12: with this baby. Oh and he oh, he's such a
- 15:28Speaker 12: greedy baby. But yeah, I'm here a lot This is
- 15:31Speaker 12: like my second child, and I'm telling you he was
- 15:33Speaker 12: nothing like the first one. But I haven't been out.
- 15:36Speaker 12: When is the party.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's gonna be next week, next Friday.
- 15:39Speaker 11: We're gonna throw it and we're not trying to do
- 15:41Speaker 11: anything too late, probably around six o'clock. Everybody's gonna leave
- 15:44Speaker 11: work a little early, but we're gonna all bring a
- 15:45Speaker 11: little something to contribute to the party, you know, whatever
- 15:48Speaker 11: type of food or drinks or whatever. So we just
- 15:50Speaker 11: wanted to reach out and give you an invitation.
- 15:53Speaker 12: I just need to see if I can get a
- 15:54Speaker 12: baby sitter. I haven't had to use a babysitter yet,
- 15:57Speaker 12: but I'll try.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I'll do my best for me.
- 16:00Speaker 12: It's my sister and her friends, so i'd be glad
- 16:02Speaker 12: to come. So you said it's pot luck. What are

- 16:05Speaker 11: Well, some people are bringing finger food, some people are
- 16:08Speaker 11: bringing desserts, nachos and things like that. So I guess
- 16:12Speaker 11: a little bit of everything, and uh, everybody's just in
- 16:14Speaker 11: the Christmas spirit.
- 16:15Speaker 1: We just gonna have a good time.
- 16:16Speaker 12: Well do I need to cook it myself or can't
- 16:18Speaker 12: I just order something to have it delivered or something
- 16:20Speaker 12: like that, you know, I'm food with this baby. I
- 16:22Speaker 12: can't get too much done while i'm here, but I'd
- 16:24Speaker 12: be glad to contribute.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Uh well, actually we're interested in getting some eggnog.
- 16:28Speaker 12: Uh yeah, I can probably I could send my husband
- 16:31Speaker 12: out to get some because you know, NaN's just school
- 16:33Speaker 12: a specialty shop. They make some good homemade ignog. I
- 16:37Speaker 12: could do eggnogs.
- 16:38Speaker 11: Well, well, hang on, we didn't. We didn't want anything
- 16:40Speaker 11: from a specialty shop. We're real particular about having good eggnog.
- 16:44Speaker 11: We've always had good eggnog every year when we throw
- 16:47Speaker 11: the big pot luck Christmas party. We wanted to see
- 16:49Speaker 11: if you didn't mind making some eggnog from scratch. But
- 16:52Speaker 11: you know, if you if you could really really help
- 16:54Speaker 11: us out, you know, using using breast milk to do it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Well, they make the.
- 16:59Speaker 12: Best milk over there. I know they use whole milk.
- 17:02Speaker 12: Sometimes they use that butter cream milk. You know what
- 17:04Speaker 12: I should get my aunt to make because she got
- 17:06Speaker 12: a real good recipe and I know she used the
- 17:07Speaker 12: best milk. Is I can get her to make thumb?
- 17:10Speaker 4: Is that?
- 17:10Speaker 12: Okay?
- 17:10Speaker 1: Okay, so your mom has what kind of milk?
- 17:13Speaker 12: My ain't tea? She makes the best eggnog, and I
- 17:16Speaker 12: know she us like whole milk and buttermilk and stuff.
- 17:18Speaker 12: That's what I was thinking. I don't know told you,
- 17:20Speaker 12: but no, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 17:22Speaker 11: We want some breast milk, not the best milk. We
- 17:26Speaker 11: want breast. Aren't you breastfeeding?
- 17:28Speaker 12: You you say breast as in b r east, breast milk.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Breast milk.
- 17:33Speaker 12: Yes, yes, Wait a minute, wait a minute, yeah, I'm breastfeeding.
- 17:36Speaker 12: But breast milk is for babies. Adun't people don't supposed
- 17:39Speaker 12: to drink that. If you if you not know anything,
- 17:40Speaker 12: you're not supposed to bress milk.
- 17:42Speaker 11: Breast milk is the best milk. So what we was
- 17:44Speaker 11: trying to do is get it. Get the eggnog made
- 17:47Speaker 11: with breast milk, and that's what we want.
- 17:49Speaker 12: Brian, you say your name is Brian, Yes, I'm Brian. Okay, Brian,
- 17:52Speaker 12: you must be white because because black folks don't drink
- 17:55Speaker 12: breast milk that's for babies. Okay, I am not making
- 17:59Speaker 12: eggs with breast milk.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Now.
- 18:02Speaker 12: Breast milk is not what you get. That is for
- 18:04Speaker 12: my newborn infants. That sounds nasty, unstounded. Why would I
- 18:08Speaker 12: do that to other people have to have somebody to do.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I mean, is there what you can like pump out
- 18:12Speaker 1: two gallons for us?
- 18:13Speaker 12: I mean what we're about to end this conversation. That
- 18:16Speaker 12: is not something I'm about to do. Okay, I am
- 18:19Speaker 12: not pumping milk for some Christmas party. That that is nasty. Okay,
- 18:26Speaker 12: somebody gonna call it the health's apartment on y'all bring
- 18:28Speaker 12: them milk up there to make some eggnog?
- 18:31Speaker 2: What does that? We don't do that?
- 18:33Speaker 12: This ain't no feet of village with my milk, you
- 18:36Speaker 12: know what, ma'am?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I mean.
- 18:38Speaker 11: I wasn't trying to offend you. I just wanted to
- 18:40Speaker 11: see if it was something that you would do for us.
- 18:42Speaker 11: You know, maybe you could, you could squeeze out a
- 18:44Speaker 11: couple of gallons and we could.
- 18:46Speaker 12: I'm past offended. I ain't squeezing out a table spool
- 18:49Speaker 12: of breast milk to be donating to some Christmas party?
- 18:53Speaker 2: Does?
- 18:54Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 18:55Speaker 12: You got me something you need to tell Keith. First
- 18:57Speaker 12: of all, I don't even know why he would give
- 18:58Speaker 12: you my number to invite me to some She couldn't
- 19:00Speaker 12: have She couldn't have know you're gonna ask me to
- 19:02Speaker 12: make some egnog with real breast milks.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I didn't didn't.
- 19:05Speaker 11: I didn't tell Keith exactly what I wanted, but I
- 19:07Speaker 11: didn't think it was gonna be this much of a
- 19:09Speaker 11: problem that you would have a problem with a couple
- 19:11Speaker 11: of gallons so we could have a good time with
- 19:12Speaker 11: real good milk.
- 19:13Speaker 12: Well, Brian, y'all work in corporate America. Surely you are
- 19:17Speaker 12: smarter than that to be calling somebody asking me for
- 19:19Speaker 12: some breast milk.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Who does that?
- 19:21Speaker 12: What you can do if you want some eggnog, you
- 19:23Speaker 12: could stop at the grocery store and get you some
- 19:25Speaker 12: infa milk some similar and mixing agnog yourself if that's
- 19:28Speaker 12: what you choose to do. But my breast milk, you
- 19:31Speaker 12: can't even pay for it. Okay, I don't get down
- 19:33Speaker 12: like that. That's some if I ever heard of it,
- 19:35Speaker 12: you too. It tells you be calling around asking people
- 19:37Speaker 12: for milk.
- 19:39Speaker 11: You're gonna be this selfish that you can't loan us
- 19:41Speaker 11: a little bit of breast milk so we can have
- 19:43Speaker 11: a great time with some eggnog at the party.
- 19:46Speaker 12: Self selfish loan breast milk?
- 19:49Speaker 1: Okay, you know what?
- 19:50Speaker 11: You know what concerned, don't worry about We don't even
- 19:52Speaker 11: want you at the party. If you're gonna bring the
- 19:53Speaker 11: breast milk, then don't come to the party.
- 19:54Speaker 12: Right, I don't need to come here on a Sunkey party.
- 19:57Speaker 12: And you tell Keiva this is some st even.
- 19:59Speaker 11: Have her friend call I am the party coordinator, and
- 20:02Speaker 11: Keev knows that that's and I tried to be nice
- 20:04Speaker 11: enough to invite you.
- 20:05Speaker 12: I offended. I am offended. Okay, would you ask your
- 20:08Speaker 12: wife or your girlfriend or whoever your baby mam is
- 20:10Speaker 12: to do something like that? Would you expect somebody to
- 20:12Speaker 12: ask herr You're just respecting me asking me for some
- 20:15Speaker 12: like that. Okay, you know what, Brian, what is your
- 20:17Speaker 12: last name? Because I'm failing to remember who you are
- 20:20Speaker 12: because I'm sure gonna.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Ask, Well, Brian ain't really my name.
- 20:23Speaker 12: I didn't really want to tell you my real name,

- 20:32Speaker 1: I talked to Keith.

- 20:38Speaker 12: You know what you're gonna get off my phone. That's
- 20:40Speaker 12: what you're gonna do.

- 32:33Speaker 1: just be on the plane all day. So some of
- 32:36Speaker 1: them's come over and you know, special time with me.
- 32:39Speaker 14: I put my tree up right after Thanksgiving though, Oh yes, yes, ma'am, yes, ma'am.
- 32:46Speaker 1: So I don't actually put it up myself. I has peoples.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Oh okay, wow, I didn't know that. Well do you
- 32:55Speaker 1: get people? Well, I can see that these people that
- 33:00Speaker 1: helps me?
- 33:01Speaker 8: Yeah, she might need a little help.
- 33:03Speaker 14: I has people that helps me, you know, like you
- 33:06Speaker 14: and you the last person need to ask about who
- 33:09Speaker 14: got people?
- 33:10Speaker 1: Where Santa Claus get you from.
- 33:21Speaker 12: From?
- 33:21Speaker 3: Well?
- 33:22Speaker 8: Do you cook anything special?
- 33:23Speaker 1: Sister hotel?
- 33:25Speaker 8: Like a favorite?
- 33:28Speaker 6: I cooked? You know, I'm really good at dressing in yams.
- 33:32Speaker 6: I love dressing and yams. And I buy my turkey
- 33:36Speaker 6: now already cooked from honey bait. That way, I ain't
- 33:39Speaker 6: got to be in there watching it, you know, honey
- 33:41Speaker 6: bake do it?
- 33:42Speaker 10: Uh huh uh okay, okay, all right, well you want
- 33:50Speaker 10: to bless us with the song since you're here.
- 33:52Speaker 8: I mean, I know you love Christmas songs, love.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Finish, I see it all.
- 34:14Speaker 16: Oh jeez, did you like jingle bells?
- 34:26Speaker 1: Cis Jo Dell?
- 34:28Speaker 14: Well, you know the original version. They changed it when
- 34:31Speaker 14: white people started singing, what.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Do you mean?
- 34:34Speaker 1: What do you mean like jingle bells?
- 34:37Speaker 13: Jingle bells?
- 34:37Speaker 8: That's nothing.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Originally used to just used to be jingle bells.
- 34:41Speaker 6: Used to go like this, jangle ah, jangle ah, jangle.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Ah, jangle jingle lord, jangle bell.
- 34:56Speaker 6: Jangle bells, jangle bells, jingle all away. That's the jangle bells,
- 35:05Speaker 6: jangle bells, jangle all the way.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Then, you know, white folks couldn't do it, so they
- 35:12Speaker 1: had to simplify, you know.
- 35:14Speaker 8: What, Yeah, yeah, what's your version of the bells?
- 35:21Speaker 13: Don't like you?
- 35:23Speaker 4: You know?
- 35:24Speaker 1: Okay? Just white? Yeah, they kill kill all the songs
- 35:29Speaker 1: in it. You know that was off the red nose.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah that's a good. Well, you know.
- 35:39Speaker 6: That's really not a Christmas song because you know, every
- 35:43Speaker 6: done knows rain deers really can't fly, you know.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Don't tell me you can't fly, no rainer. Well, y'all
- 35:53Speaker 1: one lying to the kids, But what if you want
- 35:56Speaker 1: to meet it? So tell we have children, learn you care?
- 36:01Speaker 13: Yeah, I was, well, you know.
- 36:05Speaker 1: As they seen him fly, have a heart, sister Odell.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Now come on, this is for the kids.
- 36:15Speaker 8: What about likeness I.
- 36:17Speaker 14: Have at Okay for the kids. Okay, so they listen
- 36:20Speaker 14: to me for the kids' listening. This is what's happening.
- 36:26Speaker 14: There's a white man that puts on the suit and
- 36:28Speaker 14: gets in the sled with twelve raindeer and they pull
- 36:31Speaker 14: him all across the hood and he slams on people's
- 36:34Speaker 14: roof and theyver been shot and comes down the chimney
- 36:38Speaker 14: and it fetched down everybody chimney. Now if you ain't
- 36:41Speaker 14: got a chimney, he comes through the windows or under
- 36:44Speaker 14: the door.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And then he leaves all these presents, the stuff you
- 36:49Speaker 1: don't want. And that's what he is.
- 36:51Speaker 6: He's just saying across and if you ain't ever got
- 36:54Speaker 6: what you wanted. That pretty much explains.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 37:03Speaker 10: All I can say to that is thank you, Sister Odell.
- 37:13Speaker 10: Oh bunch, can you tell them what's coming?

- 38:10Speaker 3: Oh?
- 38:10Speaker 1: I don't even get to make that decision. My wife
- 38:12Speaker 1: made that one really hard way. I like, neither was washing? Okay,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I ain't. That ain't a hard one. I'm artificial, you know.

- 38:51Speaker 10: resting lion for ten minutes resting lion? Or would you rather, okay, now,
- 38:57Speaker 10: would you rather run across a hungry alligator's back, run
- 39:02Speaker 10: across his back, run across the hungry alligator's back, or
- 39:07Speaker 10: ship with the resting lion for ten minutes?
- 39:09Speaker 11: That that that that that line is more rested than
- 39:12Speaker 11: we think. I'm sorry, I'm going. I'm going across that
- 39:15Speaker 11: alligator back. But I'm gonna keep on going.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah, let me say something. He's gonna be hard. Push.
- 39:21Speaker 6: I'm going straight across his back. What I can't do
- 39:23Speaker 6: is sit here for ten minutes on this line. First
- 39:29Speaker 6: of all, he gonna smell fear, then all this other

- 39:40Speaker 1: Oh wow, it's going now.
- 39:42Speaker 6: One of them might be so bad. He might just
- 39:44Speaker 6: pissed the line off and he just killed do it
- 39:48Speaker 6: laying up on my back like this, shouldn't shut up
- 39:52Speaker 6: in here, deprecated on yourself, laying on my back.
- 39:55Speaker 1: I'm okay. See what he got to that lunch? What

- 40:06Speaker 1: alligator back. Ten minutes of.
- 40:08Speaker 9: That line.
- 40:10Speaker 1: The longest minutes of your life.
- 40:12Speaker 10: All right, would you rather have sex with someone who
- 40:16Speaker 10: never showers? Or would you rather have sex with someone
- 40:20Speaker 10: who never brushes their teeth?
- 40:22Speaker 3: Oh?
- 40:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a question that don't brush their teeth. Can't
- 40:26Speaker 1: do this because I can get it.
- 40:27Speaker 4: I can.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I can get in a position where I'm not gonna

- 47:11Speaker 3: Let me let me ask you something man. The theme
- 47:14Speaker 3: you got in your yard? Where you get that idea from?
- 47:16Speaker 2: What do you mean where I get them from?
- 47:18Speaker 4: The idea?
- 47:19Speaker 3: Like you got the snowman, you got Santa Claus and
- 47:22Speaker 3: rain deals, you got your whole house decorated. You got
- 47:25Speaker 3: Jesus with the manger and the uh the wise men
- 47:29Speaker 3: around him. Where did you get your idea from.
- 47:32Speaker 2: I'm I'm lost what you're talking about? Man, you ask
- 47:34Speaker 2: me where I got a theme from? I mean you
- 47:37Speaker 2: got to imply for them.
- 47:38Speaker 3: I'm I'm asking you a question. Where did you get
- 47:40Speaker 3: the idea from?
- 47:41Speaker 2: I made this up. I made up Jesus Jesus and
- 47:44Speaker 2: the you know that represents Christ. Man, you go with
- 47:47Speaker 2: the theme that Christmas base, man, and that's that's Christmas base.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Jesus is Christmas Jesus and just in Jerusalem and Bethlam
- 47:54Speaker 2: and hey, what what what's going on?
- 47:55Speaker 12: Man?
- 47:56Speaker 2: Who are you? Where you gonna get my number from?
- 47:58Speaker 3: Any I'm I'm manny man, I'm many. I got I
- 48:01Speaker 3: got your number from one of the people that live
- 48:03Speaker 3: on your street. And I'm just asking you are on
- 48:05Speaker 3: the reel where you get this idea from?
- 48:09Speaker 2: I made this idea? If I made this up? Man,
- 48:11Speaker 2: I made this up just the second time you asked
- 48:13Speaker 2: me where I get this idea from?
- 48:14Speaker 3: What you're trying to import, it's go the reel, deal dog,
- 48:17Speaker 3: the same thing you got if you come fourth streets over.
- 48:21Speaker 3: I got the same thing in my yard. And it
- 48:23Speaker 3: looked like you just stole my idea. And see what
- 48:27Speaker 3: you ain't gonna do is try to win Christmas yards
- 48:30Speaker 3: of the season, and you juste stole my idea. That's
- 48:33Speaker 3: the problem I got with you.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Now, the problem you got is lifing twist it. Okay
- 48:38Speaker 2: to see I put this together without it. I never
- 48:41Speaker 2: even heard of you, man, begin with. Secondly, I've been
- 48:44Speaker 2: doing this particular theme in my yard because I'm just
- 48:46Speaker 2: staying over I'm just staying over here six years.
- 48:48Speaker 4: You ain't that You ain't had that theme last year.
- 48:51Speaker 2: You ain't had that mand this theme last year and
- 48:53Speaker 2: the year before. And I put my stuff in the
- 48:55Speaker 2: same place every time I put it down.
- 48:58Speaker 4: You did not have this last year.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Who are you to call me and tell me about
- 49:02Speaker 2: my theme and about my yard and what.
- 49:03Speaker 4: You got going.
- 49:04Speaker 2: I know you ain't copying there.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Man, I'm gonna tell you right now, and I ain't
- 49:08Speaker 3: finna go no further. You need to rearrange your theme
- 49:11Speaker 3: and get a different thing, because you got the same
- 49:13Speaker 3: theme I got.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Now you need to rearrange your okay, because I ain't
- 49:17Speaker 2: rearranging jack over here.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Hey, man, let me tell you that if I got
- 49:20Speaker 4: to come over there and they tell you him. Man,
- 49:21Speaker 4: I'm being real as real as I can.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Be with you.
- 49:24Speaker 3: If I got to come over there and unplugged if.
- 49:27Speaker 4: You got some we come well, if I got to
- 49:29Speaker 4: come over to.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Your house and unplugged some stuff.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Now now, now see if that thing my foot will
- 49:35Speaker 2: be getting up plugged from here. First of all, you
- 49:38Speaker 2: ain't gonna come on my street, in my house and
- 49:40Speaker 2: just ditect me at all about anything that I got
- 49:42Speaker 2: set up in my yard. Tell that way.
- 49:46Speaker 4: I tell you what. Then I'm just gonna do this here.
- 49:48Speaker 4: I'm finnah. Just come over there and.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Take Jesus and take them and take them wise men
- 49:53Speaker 3: out your yard.
- 49:54Speaker 4: That's what I'm finna do.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Come over this way, come over my messing with Jesus
- 49:57Speaker 2: in the manger. It's gonna be the real problems because football,
- 50:00Speaker 2: that's fake, sigae, that's that's the center of the teol. Now,
- 50:03Speaker 2: if you want to come over here and you want
- 50:04Speaker 2: to kind of do something like that, you go to
- 50:06Speaker 2: need Jesus to help you, because there's gonna be some
- 50:08Speaker 2: rolling around going on like yo.
- 50:11Speaker 4: The bottom line is this right here. You've got the
- 50:14Speaker 4: nerve to do.
- 50:14Speaker 3: The same thing I got. I'm full streets over, I'm
- 50:18Speaker 3: driving through looking at everybody the other here man, looking
- 50:20Speaker 3: at everybody. You the only one that I'm here as.
- 50:24Speaker 4: I ain't seen the same way.
- 50:25Speaker 2: The same place every doubt long here, and nobody ever
- 50:29Speaker 2: call on me. Your stuff looked like then, and from
- 50:31Speaker 2: four five seats, I would have had this many anything
- 50:34Speaker 2: way then. Ain't got no right coming on my street
- 50:36Speaker 2: because you don't stay on the street. You going around
- 50:38Speaker 2: looking at people, trying to get your ideas. Man, you
- 50:41Speaker 2: got a rich No.
- 50:42Speaker 4: No, I'm very original.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I moved to this neighborhood before you did. I've been here.
- 50:47Speaker 3: I've been here ten years. You've been here about six.

- 56:49Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Letter. A subject we've
- 56:53Speaker 1: all been waiting for. This one subject.
- 56:55Speaker 10: It's the d for me, all right, Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 57:00Speaker 10: I'm a thirty eight year old woman that has been
- 57:02Speaker 10: married for fourteen years and we have two children together.
- 57:07Speaker 10: I realize when you are married, people change over time,
- 57:12Speaker 10: and sometimes it's not even worth it to try to
- 57:14Speaker 10: work things out. I am at that point with my husband.
- 57:18Speaker 10: He's changed into an evil monster. He has always been overprotective, possessive,
- 57:23Speaker 10: and extremely jealous, but in the past few years it's
- 57:27Speaker 10: gotten worse. He has always accused me of cheating, so
- 57:31Speaker 10: guess what, I finally did it. When I leave the house,
- 57:35Speaker 10: he wants me to take the kids with me, so
- 57:38Speaker 10: I take them. My dad knows what's up with me
- 57:40Speaker 10: and my new boo, so he keeps the kids if
- 57:43Speaker 10: I have a date with my new man. At first,
- 57:46Speaker 10: I was a nervous wreck, but you already know women
- 57:49Speaker 10: are better cheaters, so I eased into the role. Eventually,
- 57:53Speaker 10: my new boo is attentive and compliments me whether I'm
- 57:57Speaker 10: looking bummy or if I'm all. I've visited his church
- 58:02Speaker 10: and I've met his coworkers, and all of that is
- 58:04Speaker 10: fine and good, but it's the d for me.
- 58:08Speaker 1: It's the dough.
- 58:10Speaker 10: Okay, this guy is loaded and he gives freely to
- 58:14Speaker 10: me without me having to hit or ask. I'm smart
- 58:18Speaker 10: enough to save all the money for a rainy day
- 58:21Speaker 10: and have it in a special account so my husband
- 58:23Speaker 10: can't find it. Now that we've been together for almost
- 58:26Speaker 10: six months, my boo is ready to have me full time.
- 58:30Speaker 10: He's been asking me to consider getting a divorce, and
- 58:33Speaker 10: I'm seriously considering it since my husband is more like
- 58:36Speaker 10: a prison warden than my husband. My boo is sixteen
- 58:39Speaker 10: years older and his children are all grown, so he
- 58:43Speaker 10: said he'd welcomed my two children into his home. So
- 58:48Speaker 10: it's about to be the D for me again. It's
- 58:51Speaker 10: divorce time. Do you think I've been with my boo
- 58:53Speaker 10: long enough to make the big D decision? Please advise?
- 58:58Speaker 10: All right, here's my question for you, lady letter writer?
- 59:02Speaker 10: Why did you write us? I mean really, why why
- 59:05Speaker 10: did you write us? What do you want Steve and
- 59:08Speaker 10: I to give you the okay to pack up and
- 59:10Speaker 10: leave your husband. You seem to have it all worked
- 59:14Speaker 10: out for yourself already, so you don't need us.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Why did you write us. You've got the man with
- 59:20Speaker 1: the D. You even got your dad on board helping
- 59:23Speaker 1: you out with the kids. So unless there's something keeping
- 59:27Speaker 1: you there, what's stopping you from moving on?
- 59:31Speaker 10: If you if you want to leave your so called
- 59:33Speaker 10: evil monster, prison warden of a husband.
- 59:35Speaker 13: Leave.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I mean, why do you need us to tell you that?
- 59:39Speaker 10: I say, go ahead and get your d girl, Go ahead,
- 59:42Speaker 10: get your D since this is the D for you,
- 59:44Speaker 10: doe and divorce. Just always remember the grass isn't greener
- 59:50Speaker 10: on the other side. Okay, just remember that, all right, Steve.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Well, you know, let's look at this letter study.
- 59:59Speaker 6: Eight year old woman being married fourteen years, two children together,
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: realized that over the years, people change and sometimes it
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: ain't even worth it trying to work out. She's already
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: said this. I'm at the point where my husband now,
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: he's been changing to this evil mom.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: See, always been overprotecting, possessing, all that, jealous, and.
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: He's a He always accused me of cheating, so guess
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: what I did it. Two wrongs don't ever make a right.
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: But let's try and see if this can work out.
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: When I leave the house, he wants me to take
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: kids with me, so I take them. My dad knows
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: what's up with me and my new boos, so he
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: keeps the kids if I have a date with my
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: new man. At first, I was a neighbor's wreck, but
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: we already know women are better cheating, So I used
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: into the role my new boo as a tenant compliments
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: me whether I'm looking bummy or if I'm fixed up.
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: I visited his church and I've met his coworkers. All
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: of that is finding good, but it's the d for me.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: It's the dope. Okay.
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: So the man got money, well, now he's loaded, and
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: he always giving you money. Now, I think we're getting
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: into what made this letter start up at the beginning
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: where you think is at that point where it ain't
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: no need it ain't you said the key word worth,
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: it's not worth trying to work things out. Well, I
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: guess it ain't worth it no more. Since you got
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: a man with all this dope. See how this worked.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: It's amazing how you start telling on yourself fourteen years now,
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: all of a sudden, he a mam say, because you
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: done met this new man. I'm not saying the man
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: ain't a mosse, and I ain't saying y'all to stay that,
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: but it showed and got worse since you.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Met this man with this dope. Because your man is
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: the direct opposite.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: He's a tenant compliments you, gives you money, without you asking,
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: and you're smart enough to save it for a rainy day.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: How much you done saved? I wish I could get that.
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: You think how much she probably got, About how long
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: she say they've been dating six months?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Five grand?
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: She got about thirty five hundred.
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: I know how, No, not real. I know how people think.
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: I know how people think. Because you ain't saving all
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: that money. You got to be buying something. You know,
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: he he giving you money.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: You got buy a dress or something, the whole lingerie. Something.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: You gotta show up with something new job, glitter, you
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: gotta get something, gosh, glitter high.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: This ain't record glitter. That's ain't the glitter down at
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the craft though, kind do.
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: No, you got that glitter coming the job called sugar
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: cause I ain't had so many sugar.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: On me back in my past life. I know what
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: it is.
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: You can't hardly get it off either. Be all in
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: you mustard all your bed, all in your hair. Time
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: watching two weeks.
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:03:07Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: The hour subject it's the d for me. We'll get
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: back into.
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: It right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey morning show.

- 1:03:53Speaker 10: All right, here we go. Let's recap this strawberry letter today, Steve. Subject,
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: it is the d for me.
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: Thirty eight year old woman tired of this marriage. She
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: been here for fourteen years, they got two kids. She'd
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: have met this older man that's sixteen years older than her,
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: makes him fifty four. I didn't say that earlier, but
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: I'm just giving you a quicker update. And the man
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: has always been jealous, and he's worse now. He's an
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: evil monster, always been accusing her cheatings.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: So guess what she said. She went on and did it,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: and she'd have got good at it. Her new booth
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: fifty four.
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: Also, i'd like to add in that once you crossed
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: the age of forty, you can stop referring to each
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: other as boot too old to be a boot. No
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: such thing as a cute old ghost, ain't no such thing.
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: Ain't as no forty of your old boots.
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: That bothered you.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: See, you're dating this older man. You thirty eight, he
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: fifty four. All right, So you visited his church, you've
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: met his coworkers, and she said, all that's finding good.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: But it's the deed for me. It's the doe.
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: This guy's loaded and he gives me without asking. And
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: I'm smart enough saving all the money for a rainy day. Man,
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: you ain't saving all of it.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Let's be honest. I have a special account sol. My
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: husband can't find it.
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: Now we've been together for almost six months, and my
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: boo is ready to have me full time. He's been
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: asking me to consider getting a divorce, and I'm seriously
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: considering it since my husband is more like a prison
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: warden than my husband. Now, my boot, which I've told
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: you to quit using that word's sixteen years older. His
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: children are all grown, so he said he'd welcome my
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: two children into his home. You need to be listening
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: to this line carefully welcome your two children into his home.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: You gotta start hearing stuff like our home. You gotta
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: start hearing stuff like our money. You need to start
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: hearing stuff like our account or you just finna get bought,
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: because that's what he's been doing.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: He's been purchasing you. Now, I'm not.
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: Saying he's not a nice guy and he don't love you.
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: I ain't saying none of that. And I'm not saying
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: he don't really want you, because it sounds like you do.
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: But you gotta be careful with me. And that's got
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: stuff that ain't talking about hours. So now you say
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: he welcome to two kids. So now it's about to
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: be the D for me again, but it's divorced this time.
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: Do you think I've been with my boot long enough
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: to make the big D decision? Please advise. Well, let's
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: look at all the d's you talking about. It's all
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: started when you went out on the date.
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: That was a D.

- 1:26:23Speaker 6: these feelings.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: When you don't forgive, you have to harbor the memory
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: of something.
- 1:26:29Speaker 6: When you don't forgive, you harbor all of the ways
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: it made you feel, which keeps you in a low state.
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: Instead of getting to the mountaintop, you stay in this
- 1:26:43Speaker 6: valley the whole time, and it's a tough place to be.
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: You can rid yourself of that low place in life
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: with the act of forgiveness. A lot of us can't
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: move forward because we're allowing something somebody did.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: To us hold us back.
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: You know, I just can't get passed away he treated
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: I just can't get passed away. My father left me.
- 1:27:14Speaker 6: I cannot get past the way that my mama was.
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: I just cannot get past the way of how my
- 1:27:25Speaker 6: friends treated me. I thought this was my best friend.
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: I cannot believe how they did me. Man, that's unthinkable.
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: I just can't get past it. Well, if you say
- 1:27:40Speaker 6: you won't get past it, I got news for you.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: You're not.
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: And if you don't get past it, you can't move forward.
- 1:27:48Speaker 6: See Bishop Jakes taught me this, forgiveness is not for
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: the other person. Forgiveness is actually for you. See you
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: do a person like I tell you what, every time
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: they see me, I bet I ain't gonna forgive them. No,
- 1:28:02Speaker 6: what actually happens is every time you see them, you
- 1:28:05Speaker 6: relive the moment. Every time you see them, you drum
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: up those old feelings. Every time you see them, you
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: throw yourself into something. The person that you're not forgiving
- 1:28:19Speaker 6: usually don't even know that you haven't forgiven them, and
- 1:28:23Speaker 6: they have moved on with they life. They skipping. But
- 1:28:28Speaker 6: because you have never forgave them or never brought it
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: to their attention, so you think that it'll create closure
- 1:28:34Speaker 6: for you.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: It won't.
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: It won't the fact that you won't forgive a person
- 1:28:41Speaker 6: does nothing to them. But it does so much damage
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: to you. It's like a cancer in your body that
- 1:28:48Speaker 6: festers and grows and over the years if you don't
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: forgive enough, if you don't forgive a person, it stays
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: with you and it causes so many ill feelings in you.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: And next thing you know, you can't move on with
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: the next relationship because you still living in the other relationship.
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: You can't move on to the next business deal because
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: you so wiped out how they did you in that.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Last business deal.
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: You can't find yourself progressing with your friends, your new friends,
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: because you can't move past what your old friend did
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: to you. How many times, if you really think about it,
- 1:29:24Speaker 6: has the act of non forgiving held you back? Probably
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: more times than you think. I did it to myself.
- 1:29:31Speaker 6: It was a guy man that ran a club for
- 1:29:34Speaker 6: me in Dallas. Well, he took some money from me,
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: and at the time it was thirty three thousand dollars.
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: Now back then, man, that was all I had. I
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: came from a gig and the money in account. They said,
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: well it's gone, mister Harvey. You have some people signing
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: and they removed the money. I said, okay, maybe I
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: had to do some winning. I called him, he will
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: answer the phone. We buy his office, and his office
- 1:30:01Speaker 6: was cleared out, and I went and I came from
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: a comedy gig and I came.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: Back to my club and all of a sudden, it
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: was gone. And man, that was it. I said, hold up,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: just do a little took my money.
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: I looked for him everywhere. Every time I heard man,
- 1:30:19Speaker 6: I had people looking for him. Hey man, he help
- 1:30:21Speaker 6: here getting a haircut. I get in my car forty
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: minutes away, drive to the barbershop.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: Or he left.
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: Man. I go to a club, Hey man, your boy
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: just run out the back door. I run out the
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: back door. I see his tail lights pulling through the gate.
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: I looked for him for years, and for years and
- 1:30:36Speaker 6: for years, man, I looked for this dude, man for
- 1:30:41Speaker 6: seven years. And then something happened. My mama passed, and
- 1:30:47Speaker 6: he sent the biggest flower arrangement to my mama's funeral
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: because my mama taught him Sunday school. And I was
- 1:30:55Speaker 6: sitting there and I read the car and it was
- 1:30:57Speaker 6: from him. But at that moment, I didn't have time
- 1:31:01Speaker 6: to hate him, because my mama was gone. And at
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: that moment I realized what was really important to me,
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: and he was so unimportant to me at that time,
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: and so at that day I forgave him that day.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Now, since then, had he.
- 1:31:16Speaker 6: Stayed my manager, he would be making right now ten
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: percent of everything I've earned. You do you have any
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: idea what that check would be? But for thirty three
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: thousand and I just forgave it. I was able to
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: move on with my life. If I had allowed that
- 1:31:34Speaker 6: to hold me there, I could be stuck right back
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: at that thirty three. But because I was willing to
- 1:31:39Speaker 6: let it go, God has opened up the windows of
- 1:31:43Speaker 6: heaven and poured out of blessings. I ain't even got rich.
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: His blessings chased me down. I am telling you you've
- 1:31:50Speaker 6: got to let it go.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: Talk to God, love to himself.
