- 0:15Speaker 1: the million bucks things in it to me through good
- 0:20Speaker 1: it seether. Please, I don't join Jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:43Speaker 1: you got to turn them out. Turn the water, the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go, come come on your back. Uh huh. I show.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Well a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Well, nothing changes about that. Nothing
- 2:14Speaker 1: changes about that. Man. I was just so getting ready
- 2:19Speaker 1: to come on the air this morning. I was just thinking, man,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was just having a reflective moment of just how
- 2:28Speaker 1: really good God has been to me. I just it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: it's it's man. Let me just say that again, how
- 2:37Speaker 1: really good God has been to me. And here's a
- 2:42Speaker 1: cold part. In spite of myself, you understand, in spite
- 2:46Speaker 1: of all my shortcomings, in spite of all of my
- 2:51Speaker 1: flaws and and and and in spite of all of
- 2:55Speaker 1: what anybody has said about me, God, through his grace
- 3:00Speaker 1: and mercy, just keeps me anyway. So many of us
- 3:05Speaker 1: are exceptional people. But we refuse to just go ahead
- 3:13Speaker 1: and be exceptional. We settle for the ordinary. We follow
- 3:19Speaker 1: the pack. We try to fit in. Man, oh man,
- 3:25Speaker 1: oh man. You know I've heard my wife say this
- 3:27Speaker 1: to my children all the time. When she's scolding and
- 3:30Speaker 1: talking to him. She'd be talking to him about leadership.
- 3:33Speaker 1: You know, why are you following everybody when God clearly
- 3:36Speaker 1: made you to lead? So many of us are born,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and so many of you are born to be exceptional people,
- 3:42Speaker 1: but we always trying to follow the pack. Why would
- 3:48Speaker 1: you try to fit in? Why would you try to
- 3:51Speaker 1: be like everybody else be ordinary? Why would you follow
- 3:57Speaker 1: the pack when God has created you to be exceptional?
- 4:02Speaker 1: The key word in exceptional is except you? Ever you
- 4:06Speaker 1: ever done this? Right here? You know, everybody did that
- 4:09Speaker 1: accept me. Everybody felt that way except me. Everybody said
- 4:17Speaker 1: that except me. Everybody won't wanted that. Accept me. Everybody
- 4:23Speaker 1: went over that except me. Everybody jumped in except me,
- 4:29Speaker 1: accept me. See why have you saying that in your life?
- 4:34Speaker 1: If you were not to be exceptional? See you got
- 4:38Speaker 1: to say everybody accept me at one point in You'll
- 4:40Speaker 1: to I don't know who ain't done it? You know
- 4:43Speaker 1: everybody wanted everybody voted no except me? See it? So
- 4:49Speaker 1: you're not You're not created to follow the pack. You
- 4:51Speaker 1: ain't created to fit in. You ain't created to h
- 4:56Speaker 1: you know, to be ordinary. You were created to be exceptional,
- 5:00Speaker 1: as exceptional as your fingerprint on your finger is. You
- 5:04Speaker 1: were created to be exceptional. Why not make this the
- 5:07Speaker 1: year that you go ahead on and be exceptional? Why
- 5:12Speaker 1: won't this be the year that you decide in your mind?
- 5:16Speaker 1: But just has to be a decision that we make.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Now we're not following the pack no more. We're not
- 5:21Speaker 1: trying to fit in no more. We ain't settling for
- 5:25Speaker 1: ordinary no more. We're gonna be exceptional. But you know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you got you got to go ahead and follow that.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You got to get on the exceptional path because that's
- 5:34Speaker 1: what you were created for. Why be ordinary? You know?
- 5:37Speaker 1: But all of this this comes to it has to
- 5:40Speaker 1: start with a thought. You got to first think something
- 5:45Speaker 1: thought to become things. A man is as he thinketh
- 5:49Speaker 1: that's all you will ever be. So what are your
- 5:53Speaker 1: thoughts today? Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of ordinary thoughts?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Why not have exceptional thoughts instead of fitting me in thoughts?
- 6:01Speaker 1: So why you want to be like everybody else? Why
- 6:04Speaker 1: you want to be ordinary when you could possibly be
- 6:07Speaker 1: extraordinary with a change of your mind, a change of
- 6:11Speaker 1: your venue, And you don't have to be any other
- 6:14Speaker 1: kind of way just because my mama was this way,
- 6:17Speaker 1: my daddy was this way, or this the school I
- 6:19Speaker 1: went to? This? What race I belong to? This is
- 6:22Speaker 1: my sexual preference, this is my this, this is my dad? Why?
- 6:26Speaker 1: How many? How many? How many excuses? You need? I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: an excuse? What? What? What? What? You? What's it gonna
- 6:31Speaker 1: be this year that we let another three hundred and
- 6:35Speaker 1: sixty five days slip by without improving our condition, our place,
- 6:40Speaker 1: our spot, our life, the quality of life we have.
- 6:45Speaker 1: We cannot afford to keep letting all these years go
- 6:49Speaker 1: by without changing. You're an exceptional person. How many times
- 6:56Speaker 1: have you set up and said, everybody did that accept me?
- 7:01Speaker 1: You know I was only everybody jumped in accept me.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I told him I knew it. Everybody voted for that,
- 7:07Speaker 1: accept me, And now look at it, man, it seemed
- 7:12Speaker 1: like everybody went that way, accept me. Okay, do you
- 7:17Speaker 1: get it? Do you understand what's being said to you
- 7:22Speaker 1: that an't accept me is because couldn't it be because
- 7:25Speaker 1: you're an exceptional person, and it's time for you to
- 7:28Speaker 1: take control of that. It's time for you to start
- 7:31Speaker 1: thinking different. It's time for you to start acting on
- 7:34Speaker 1: what you think. It's time for you to start doing
- 7:37Speaker 1: something about it. It's time for you to stop taking
- 7:39Speaker 1: each and every day that God gives us for granted
- 7:42Speaker 1: and letting them go by the wayside. Like you got
- 7:45Speaker 1: plenty more. Well, you may have plenty more, but guess
- 7:48Speaker 1: what what you wasting the ones you got for? I
- 7:52Speaker 1: got you young, and you and you feel like you're
- 7:54Speaker 1: gonna live forever. Okay, cool, But let me ask you something.
- 7:58Speaker 1: See here, here, here go a part about pose you
- 8:01Speaker 1: do live? See see everybody willing about dying. But I
- 8:04Speaker 1: got news for you. Suppose you keep on living. You
- 8:07Speaker 1: want to keep living in the condition you in now.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You want to keep living with the money you got now.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You want to keep living with the relationship you got now.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You want to keep living by yourself like you are now.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You want to keep wanting the right relationship, the right man,
- 8:21Speaker 1: the the right woman, but you keep getting the wrong one.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You want to keep doing that for the rest of
- 8:26Speaker 1: your life. Problem ain't dying. It's problem is if you
- 8:28Speaker 1: keep on living. Who wants to keep on living just
- 8:31Speaker 1: the way they are right now? And if you can
- 8:34Speaker 1: say I'm cool with I am just the way I
- 8:36Speaker 1: am right now, it in't cool. This conversation ain't for you.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with that. You know, you
- 8:42Speaker 1: want to say, greatness ain't for everybody. Being exceptional, ain't
- 8:46Speaker 1: for everybody. Becoming extraordinary ain't fun everybody. Heck, becoming successful
- 8:52Speaker 1: ain't fun everybody. I got it. And you can come
- 8:55Speaker 1: up with a way to justify your non existence in
- 8:58Speaker 1: your ordinary life. All you won't, And that's fine and dandy.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with it. Because some people
- 9:04Speaker 1: just gonna be regular. Some people just gonna follow the pack,
- 9:08Speaker 1: follow the crowd. Some people just wants to fit in.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But if you're not that person, if you want to
- 9:14Speaker 1: be extraordinary, if you want to be exceptional, if you
- 9:18Speaker 1: want to be if you want to dad or be
- 9:19Speaker 1: great at something, and you got to change your mind set.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You got to get with your creating, find out what
- 9:25Speaker 1: he created you fault. You gotta quit thinking of things
- 9:28Speaker 1: just in your own thought process, you know, lean not
- 9:31Speaker 1: to your own understanding. I don't know what that is,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but it's in there somewhere seeing. Once you lean, if
- 9:37Speaker 1: you lean to your own understanding, you know what it's
- 9:39Speaker 1: gonna do. It's gonna limit you. Man, it's gonna limit you.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Why not see what God got for you. I would
- 9:46Speaker 1: rather know what God got for me than to think
- 9:48Speaker 1: of all the things I could because I can't out
- 9:51Speaker 1: think him out and tried it before. All right, it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: just the beginning. We're gonna have a good one. Man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Let's go. You're listening, ladies, A gentlemen, man, have your attention.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Please welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Two two three.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Try Jesus, not me because I throw hands. Try Jesus.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Please don't try me because I fight. I don't know
- 10:42Speaker 1: how long I'm gonna open the show with that song.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But and I didn't have a melody right just now
- 10:47Speaker 1: because I didn't think about it, but it felt so
- 10:50Speaker 1: good to me. Yeah, I didn't have the melody right
- 10:58Speaker 1: a melody? Yeah, let me play it right there. It
- 11:03Speaker 1: was Trajesus, act like that's a faki because I throw
- 11:14Speaker 1: hayr Jesus. Please don't dry me because I'm thank you,
- 11:29Speaker 1: thank you. That's all I need. That was it? That
- 11:32Speaker 1: was it. That's my jams, my theme song from Colton
- 11:35Speaker 1: that Shirley said, it has been my theme song. It
- 11:38Speaker 1: just wasn't written. That's right, and that's why that song
- 11:44Speaker 1: has mattered so much to me. In his name, let
- 11:48Speaker 1: the church say, man man a man again Man, Shirley Strawberry,
- 11:57Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve tried Jesus, not me, because I throw hands,
- 12:05Speaker 1: come on now calling for real? I know you know
- 12:08Speaker 1: this here song. Whatever girl you told hands, cut tires,
- 12:13Speaker 1: fill up gas tanks with sugar, bus out windows, keep
- 12:18Speaker 1: cause allegedly, allegedly somebody told me calling girl that they
- 12:27Speaker 1: thought that was you, that girl that set that range
- 12:30Speaker 1: roll on fire. Well on social media, I was she
- 12:34Speaker 1: was a rookie. Rookie and amateurs nothing. Don't even know
- 12:43Speaker 1: how to do it, Junior, more than try Jesus never
- 12:50Speaker 1: said right with me? No a few times, Yay, I'm
- 12:56Speaker 1: in the building. I'm right here, I'm right here, Jesus
- 13:01Speaker 1: native man. So the artist Toby, he posted on his
- 13:08Speaker 1: Instagram page number two on the charts. Try Jesus already
- 13:14Speaker 1: number two, God number one? Try Jesus. What's the artist name?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Carla Toby new Wig. We don't buy no other one.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Try Jesus. The hood version all right, coming up a
- 13:36Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour. He's in the building,
- 13:39Speaker 1: the CLO Chief Love Officer. Right after this, you're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to Steven Show time now for ask the CLO. CLO
- 13:49Speaker 1: in the building that is the Chief Love Officer, the
- 13:52Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey. You ready, mister clo. I'm
- 13:56Speaker 1: ready right here, Here we go. This is from Leicia
- 13:59Speaker 1: in Gary, Indiana. She says, my brother in law is
- 14:03Speaker 1: dating a new woman that no one in the family
- 14:06Speaker 1: can stand. We tolerate her because we love him. This
- 14:09Speaker 1: woman sells sex toys for a living, and she doesn't
- 14:12Speaker 1: have the best reputation. She walks around in shorts and
- 14:16Speaker 1: rompers with her booty cheeks hanging out. The bottom's tasteless, classless,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and disrespectful to walk around my husband and teenage boys
- 14:25Speaker 1: like that. A female relative talk to her about how
- 14:28Speaker 1: she presents herself, and she got very confrontational. How do
- 14:32Speaker 1: I enforce some boundaries with this woman without her trying
- 14:36Speaker 1: to jump on me? Well, you're gonna get jumped home.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Women who walk around with their booty cheeks out have
- 14:45Speaker 1: jump on capabilities. You have to be prepared because you
- 14:50Speaker 1: are dealing with a person who has no problem showing
- 14:54Speaker 1: their ass. So now you think that she ain't gonna
- 14:59Speaker 1: acco fool if you say something to it. She has
- 15:03Speaker 1: her booty out for a reason. You know why, because
- 15:07Speaker 1: her specialty is showing it. That's right, Yeah, this is
- 15:13Speaker 1: gonna Don't worry about this. This ain't gonna last long.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Your sales sex toys and you walk around looking like
- 15:19Speaker 1: a six toy. It's a billion dollar business. It's a
- 15:23Speaker 1: billion dollar business, but she ain't getting a whole billion.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Got the booty, but not the billion. Yeah, don't worry
- 15:33Speaker 1: about it, This too shall pass, all right? Angel and
- 15:37Speaker 1: Port Arthur, Texas says, I'm a twenty five year old
- 15:39Speaker 1: single mother of a two year old and I recently
- 15:42Speaker 1: broke up with my child's father. I've started dating again,
- 15:45Speaker 1: and I'm not a nice guy online. We talked for
- 15:48Speaker 1: two weeks before I told him I'm a single mother.
- 15:51Speaker 1: He said he didn't want to talk to me anymore
- 15:53Speaker 1: because my child is young, and he's sure there's a
- 15:55Speaker 1: little drama still going on with my child's father. He's correct,
- 15:59Speaker 1: but I have it under control. Should I wait until
- 16:03Speaker 1: my daughter is older to start dating or until my
- 16:06Speaker 1: issues with her father are totally resolved. Well, it's two
- 16:11Speaker 1: things you gotta do. For number one, you gotta try
- 16:14Speaker 1: to get the issues resolved just for your own peace
- 16:17Speaker 1: of mind. That's for starters. And then secondly, you talking
- 16:21Speaker 1: to a man for two weeks before you tell him
- 16:24Speaker 1: you have a child. He don't look what the reason
- 16:28Speaker 1: he gave you was because I'm he young, and I'm
- 16:31Speaker 1: sure that's still some problems. He don't want no problems,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but some men, you twenty five years old, just don't
- 16:39Speaker 1: want a young child and to picture. So you talking
- 16:43Speaker 1: to a man, I think early on is important to
- 16:46Speaker 1: let him know who you are. The child is never
- 16:48Speaker 1: gonna go anywhere, and that ain't nothing you surprise a
- 16:51Speaker 1: person with, Hey, have I told you I got a baby?
- 16:55Speaker 1: We've been talking for two weeks day? What the hell
- 16:58Speaker 1: you mean? Have I told you? Hell no, you ain't
- 17:00Speaker 1: told me, so it could be a five product. So
- 17:04Speaker 1: I would I would be a little bit more forthright
- 17:06Speaker 1: in your dating because there's a lot of men ain't
- 17:09Speaker 1: got no problem with you having a child. But when
- 17:12Speaker 1: he don't want to date a woman it's got a child,
- 17:14Speaker 1: then didn't That's gonna be the excuse. But you need
- 17:17Speaker 1: to work out your situation with your guy, get the
- 17:19Speaker 1: problem solved, so for your own piece of money. So
- 17:22Speaker 1: how should she say it? How you said tell him
- 17:25Speaker 1: right away? What should she say? Because well, you know, hey,
- 17:28Speaker 1: tell me a little bit about yourself. Well, I'm twenty
- 17:30Speaker 1: five years old, I have a two year old son,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I'm single. That's it. It's it's nothing else to it. Okay,
- 17:41Speaker 1: you know all right? She thought it ain't a secret
- 17:45Speaker 1: you on the phone. So girl, all right, now, how
- 17:48Speaker 1: you doing? What you got on? What is that? Yeah? Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you know what's going on? Good? Ye? Then I got
- 18:02Speaker 1: the lights turned down? What you got on? Where I
- 18:05Speaker 1: like anybody? Triuldn't think? Is that a goat? Right? All right,
- 18:17Speaker 1: we're moving on. This is something you can relate to
- 18:20Speaker 1: as well. Steve Biggie in Charlotte, North Carolina says, I'm
- 18:23Speaker 1: a fifty biggie in Charlotte. I thought you said biggie,
- 18:28Speaker 1: O biggie, you know big big in Charlotte. Oh biggie,
- 18:33Speaker 1: I thought you said biggie too. No, no, no, I'm
- 18:36Speaker 1: a fifty year old divorced man and I'm in love
- 18:39Speaker 1: with a woman that likes to be spoiled. When I
- 18:42Speaker 1: met her, she had a nice car, townhouse, fine jewelry,
- 18:45Speaker 1: and she was well traveled. I owned several insurance companies.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I was initially attracted to her beauty, but I love
- 18:53Speaker 1: that she's financially secure. I don't mind buying her nice things,
- 18:57Speaker 1: but I hate it when she asked for things and
- 18:59Speaker 1: expects me to get them. She said, I should give
- 19:01Speaker 1: her my credit card so she doesn't have to ask
- 19:04Speaker 1: me to buy her stuff. I would love her. I
- 19:07Speaker 1: would love to marry this, this woman. But this is
- 19:09Speaker 1: this a red flag or the money? Red flag? That
- 19:16Speaker 1: is they landing plane? Is that a red flag? Credit card? Boy?
- 19:22Speaker 1: That's the Christian Luberton building. That ain't a red flag.
- 19:27Speaker 1: That is the red bottoms, red roof, red raws. Run
- 19:32Speaker 1: for the hill man, Pardner, you should give me your
- 19:34Speaker 1: credit card so I don't have to ask you for money.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Anybody find to do that with you? No thinking ahead?
- 19:41Speaker 1: Come on, we dating what he said. He would love
- 19:45Speaker 1: to marry her. Go ahead, Pardner, go ahead, don't get
- 19:50Speaker 1: married here? Go ahead? Is that a red flag? You're
- 19:54Speaker 1: not gonna believe how big this flag is? Yeah? Better
- 20:02Speaker 1: pass on. She already has a nice thing. She probably
- 20:05Speaker 1: just wants a couple of times. Why she begging? Then?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Why's she begging for the card? He didn't say begging,
- 20:11Speaker 1: But who says that most people ain't in a position
- 20:17Speaker 1: to just give you a credit card? Let you go
- 20:19Speaker 1: do what you want to do now. No, I ain't know.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It's very very few people that got that. I know,
- 20:27Speaker 1: really really well off dudes that's married that have some
- 20:30Speaker 1: real problems when that credit card get out of hand. Yeah,
- 20:36Speaker 1: all right, we'll coming up and ask thank you cello.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Nephew tell me in the building with the praying phone
- 20:41Speaker 1: call right after this. You're listening coming up at the
- 20:47Speaker 1: top of the hour. Tiffany Hattish said racism makes her
- 20:50Speaker 1: afraid to have kids. And wow, wait till you hear
- 20:53Speaker 1: this and tell me something good news. HBCUs are reporting
- 20:58Speaker 1: the largest gift in history. We'll tell you from home
- 21:02Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. But right now, the
- 21:04Speaker 1: nephew is here, would run that break back. The postman
- 21:09Speaker 1: always rings twight. I want you to turn to your
- 21:15Speaker 1: book a postman right now because he always rings twice.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Let's go cat diggity, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 21:27Speaker 1: Carlos say, what is my name? Benny Man, Benny Phipps.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Hey you, I want to make sure I got the
- 21:33Speaker 1: right person. You You worked for a post office, right,
- 21:36Speaker 1: h yeah? Okay? Do you deliver mail off of Murphy Road? Uh? Sometimes? Yeah? Yeah, okay,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I live it well. First of all, I wanted to
- 21:45Speaker 1: make sure I had the right postman. Nah. It's been
- 21:48Speaker 1: brought to my attention that there's a postman that has
- 21:51Speaker 1: been stopping by my house. And I'm what I'm not
- 21:55Speaker 1: understanding is why are you bringing mail to my door?
- 21:58Speaker 1: A post to just putting mail in the mailboxes on
- 22:01Speaker 1: the street where everybody got their mailboxes at. What do
- 22:03Speaker 1: you say? Is that again? I live at Murphy Road Road? Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I deliver over there. Uh. But he s ain't delivering
- 22:12Speaker 1: package at your house. No, I said, you've been bringing
- 22:16Speaker 1: mail to my house in the polls. Here's what I'm
- 22:18Speaker 1: trying to kill you, Carlod. My wife is at home
- 22:21Speaker 1: all day, she don't work. And my understanding is you've
- 22:24Speaker 1: been stopping by there on more than one occasion on
- 22:27Speaker 1: a daily basis. You're coming by there two three times,
- 22:31Speaker 1: you know. But what I'm understanding it ain't no mail
- 22:33Speaker 1: being brought over that. I'm trying to figure out what
- 22:35Speaker 1: are you doing at my house? Now? What really? Then

- 26:58Speaker 1: my way to your house. I took God for n
- 27:04Speaker 1: I got one more thing to ask you, man, what
- 27:06Speaker 1: is what is the baddest radio show in the land?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning radioself, no doubt all the way. Never
- 27:17Speaker 1: done anything with a delivery person. Yeah, I got my
- 27:21Speaker 1: package described. Yeah, I mean just you know, you know
- 27:24Speaker 1: it went too far with a delivery person, like you know, No,
- 27:28Speaker 1: you didn't answer your dough and I got into a
- 27:32Speaker 1: trist with the delivery girl. I never heard you use
- 27:36Speaker 1: trist before, Tommy. I gotta say I was shocked too.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I was stunned. But my other my other choice was
- 27:49Speaker 1: really not gonna make the asp this trist But I ain't, Tommy.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I've never said trist everybody. I've never heard you say it.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Twenty years. I've never heard you say that it's the tristum.
- 28:06Speaker 1: What's thirtieth thirtieth yea, the funniest thing I've ever seen
- 28:11Speaker 1: that delivery. Kind of really cute. Girl came to the
- 28:14Speaker 1: house when time dropped something wrong and I was surprised,
- 28:17Speaker 1: you know, I said, Wow, this girl is cute. Her
- 28:21Speaker 1: phone rang as she was walking up to the door.
- 28:25Speaker 1: She said, call me again. I'll kill you. What what
- 28:34Speaker 1: Walking through the dog she answered the phone and said,
- 28:36Speaker 1: call me again, I kill cute with right out coming
- 28:43Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour Entertainment and National
- 28:46Speaker 1: News right after the trist you're listening to the String Show.
- 28:53Speaker 1: In today's Entertainment News, Tiffany Hattrish discussed the idea of
- 28:57Speaker 1: motherhood with NBA star Carmelo Anthony. On this podcast, Tiffany says,
- 29:02Speaker 1: one thing that scares her is bringing a child into
- 29:05Speaker 1: a racist world. Take a listen. I'm older now, a
- 29:08Speaker 1: little older, and people it's like, you don't have baby
- 29:10Speaker 1: when you're gonna have some babies, when you're gonna drop
- 29:12Speaker 1: some babies. And and there's a part of me that
- 29:14Speaker 1: would like to do that. And I always make up
- 29:16Speaker 1: these excuses like, oh, I need a million dollars in
- 29:18Speaker 1: the thank before I can touch you. I need this,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I need that. But really It's like, I would hate
- 29:22Speaker 1: to give birth to someone that looks like me and
- 29:26Speaker 1: then knowing that they're gonna be hunted or killed. You know, like,
- 29:30Speaker 1: why would I put someone through that? Wow? Well, she
- 29:33Speaker 1: was talking about racism, and she went on, you know, Carmelo,
- 29:37Speaker 1: he's a father, so they kind of talked about you know,
- 29:39Speaker 1: parenting a little bit and you know, being black. And
- 29:42Speaker 1: she says there's hope because she participated in Black Lives
- 29:47Speaker 1: Matter and the protests and things like that. So emotional
- 29:50Speaker 1: talking about motherhood though, very much podcast. Yeah, I saw it.
- 29:54Speaker 1: She very emotional. I mean, you believe it or not,
- 29:58Speaker 1: a lot of people feel that way. They do not
- 30:00Speaker 1: I want to bring kids into this racist world. A
- 30:02Speaker 1: lot of people. You know, She's not the only one.
- 30:04Speaker 1: She did speak. I'm glad I brought my kids into
- 30:06Speaker 1: that world. I'm not going to retract on that. I
- 30:09Speaker 1: like having my children. I'm just very protective and make
- 30:13Speaker 1: sure they don't run into the wrong as much as
- 30:16Speaker 1: I can. But yeah, but I got my kids right.
- 30:20Speaker 1: The good thing about it is, like you said, Carlo,
- 30:23Speaker 1: she's not hopeless. She does have some hope for the future,
- 30:25Speaker 1: hope hoping that it'll get better, and you know, maybe
- 30:28Speaker 1: things will turn around and change. Yes, there's a deal.
- 30:31Speaker 1: God will bring into the world who he wants in
- 30:34Speaker 1: this world. Amen to that. You can make any statement
- 30:38Speaker 1: you want to. Everybody God want in this world gonna
- 30:42Speaker 1: be in this world, I believe. Yeah. But there's a
- 30:45Speaker 1: lot of people that feel like her, Like Shirley said,
- 30:47Speaker 1: they're scared. They're scared to be parents. Yeah. So yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: because it is the hardest job in the world. It
- 30:54Speaker 1: comes with no instructions, no instructions. Once you put him
- 31:01Speaker 1: in that baby's seat on the way out, that's all right,
- 31:06Speaker 1: It's time now for tell me something good news. Now.
- 31:09Speaker 1: This is according to the Black Information Network. At least
- 31:12Speaker 1: six HBCUs received huge donations from Mackenzie Scott. And if
- 31:18Speaker 1: that name doesn't sound familiar to you, let me tell
- 31:21Speaker 1: you who she is. Remember Jeff Bezos, you know who
- 31:25Speaker 1: he is, Amazon CEO. Yeah, right, that's his ex wife.
- 31:30Speaker 1: So you know she's got a lot, a lot of money. Okay, yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 1: she's a billionaire billionairests. Anyway, she gave money to Howard Hampton, Tuskegee, Morehouse, Spellman,
- 31:41Speaker 1: and Xavier University in Louisiana. They all announced that they
- 31:46Speaker 1: received millions or eight figure donations from Mackenzie Scott, the
- 31:50Speaker 1: largest in the university's history, university's history, university's history. That's
- 31:55Speaker 1: really great. That is wonderful. That's outing. She gave a
- 32:02Speaker 1: lot of money. But she said that when she with
- 32:05Speaker 1: the divorce, she said she was going to give a
- 32:07Speaker 1: lot of her fortune away to charity. She did say that. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: so that's awesome. HBCU, Thank you McKinsey, Miss Scott. Yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 1: no pre views as asking as well. All right, Steve,
- 32:30Speaker 1: it's time now for today's headlines. Miss and trip, thank you,
- 32:35Speaker 1: Thank you everybody. In good morning. This is entered for
- 32:37Speaker 1: the news. The governor of Oregon says that a deal
- 32:39Speaker 1: has been worked out everybody for a phased withdrawal starting
- 32:42Speaker 1: tomorrow or federal troops who've been clashing with protesters in
- 32:46Speaker 1: downtown Portland for weeks. Actually some of those withdrawals actually
- 32:50Speaker 1: will start today. Those clashes, of course, the mayor and
- 32:53Speaker 1: other local officials say, were aggravated actually by the fits
- 32:56Speaker 1: because of the way they were treating these then peaceful protesters.
- 32:59Speaker 1: In fact, American civil levities unions asking a judge to
- 33:02Speaker 1: sanction those agents over their treatment of journalists and legal
- 33:05Speaker 1: observers of the protest. However, in testifying before a Congressional
- 33:08Speaker 1: committee this week, US Attorney General William Barr defended his
- 33:12Speaker 1: decision to send the federal troops into Portland because he
- 33:15Speaker 1: says there was only one way to look at things.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Unfolds nightly around the courthouse cannot reasonably be called protests.
- 33:22Speaker 1: It is, by any objective measure, an assault on the
- 33:25Speaker 1: government of the United States. Well, local community leaders in
- 33:28Speaker 1: Portland say that the push for real change is still now.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Kaylee Thornlad put a cold listen together called Reimagine Oregon.
- 33:35Speaker 1: It's no surprise that the federal government is using dehumanizing
- 33:39Speaker 1: tactics even now to quiet our protest. The late and
- 33:44Speaker 1: Great John Lewis also marched in peaceful protests for our
- 33:47Speaker 1: civil rights and had his head bashed in with the club.
- 33:51Speaker 1: The protests have reminded some and taught other people about
- 33:54Speaker 1: Oregon's ugly pass For instance, in its state constitution back
- 33:57Speaker 1: in eighteen fifty nine, it was stated that black were
- 34:00Speaker 1: prohibited from living in the state of Oregon. The Pentagon
- 34:03Speaker 1: has announced that it's prepared to withdraw thousands of American
- 34:06Speaker 1: military personnel from Germany, a process expected to cost billions
- 34:09Speaker 1: of bucks, but when asked about the move, the President
- 34:12Speaker 1: said he might reconsider if Germany was to quote start
- 34:15Speaker 1: paying their bills. It's assumed that Trump was referring to
- 34:18Speaker 1: NATO fees. The President was in Texas yesterday for a fundraiser.
- 34:21Speaker 1: He's told reporters that he may give his presidential nomination
- 34:24Speaker 1: acceptance speech at the White House, since the GOP can't
- 34:27Speaker 1: hold that traditional nominating convention because of the coronavirus numbers. Meanwhile,
- 34:31Speaker 1: another Trump loyalist, Republican Congressman, Louis Goemert of Texas, has
- 34:35Speaker 1: tested positive for the coronavirus. Gohmert proudly refused to wear
- 34:39Speaker 1: a mask. Finally, another Republican, this one Arkansas State Senator
- 34:43Speaker 1: Jason Rappert, tested positive for the virus the other day,
- 34:46Speaker 1: also after refusing to wear a mask and calling mandates
- 34:49Speaker 1: for masks draconian and COVID nineteen eight hoax. In fact,
- 34:53Speaker 1: for the last three months, as Guy, rapperts been sharing
- 34:55Speaker 1: articles about how quote liberal quacks have been spreading fear
- 35:00Speaker 1: and how COVID nineteen is the biggest political hoax in history.
- 35:04Speaker 1: But yeah, he's got it. Final homegoing services are being
- 35:08Speaker 1: held later this morning for civil rights icon John Lewis,
- 35:11Speaker 1: capping almost a week of ceremonies in his native Alabama.
- 35:14Speaker 1: In Atlanta and the Nations of capital of Congressman Lewis
- 35:18Speaker 1: died last Friday at the age of eighty after losing
- 35:20Speaker 1: a battle to six month battle against cancer. Services to
- 35:23Speaker 1: be held in Atlanta's famed ebenez Or, a Baptist Church representative.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Lewis is to be buried at Southview Cemetery. By the Way.
- 35:30Speaker 1: The eugie is to be delivered by former President Obama,
- 35:33Speaker 1: and an attendance will be foreign Presidents Bill Clinton and
- 35:36Speaker 1: former President George Bush. The US has reached another grim milestone.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Authorities now say over one hundred and fifty thousand Americans
- 35:43Speaker 1: have lost their lives due to COVID nineteen, and the
- 35:46Speaker 1: CEOs of four big tech companies testified before Congress about
- 35:49Speaker 1: censorship yesterday. It's time not about bleacher. President Trump was
- 35:53Speaker 1: standing by a retweet of an article by a doctor
- 35:56Speaker 1: named Stella Emmanuel from Cameroon. She's living in Texas, Jr.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Emmanuel said that the anti malaria drug coxi quint chlora Quinn,
- 36:04Speaker 1: by the way, as a cure for the virus. She
- 36:06Speaker 1: once said that some medical conditions were caused by demons,
- 36:09Speaker 1: and which is having sex with humans in their dreams.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:14Speaker 1: to show. So the other day I think we told
- 36:18Speaker 1: you guys about this yesterday. The other day, Junior and
- 36:21Speaker 1: I saw each other in the parking lot of a store.
- 36:24Speaker 1: And yes, we were both wearing our masks. We were
- 36:27Speaker 1: practicing social especially to me, especially me one on Instagram.
- 36:36Speaker 1: There you go, uh huh, quit looking up that all
- 36:39Speaker 1: the stuff and look, look, I'll find out where your
- 36:41Speaker 1: friends as if that my girl Shirley too right asking
- 36:45Speaker 1: for anything, any foolishness, he had come out right got
- 36:49Speaker 1: it for you. He comes from closing remarks, Here's a question, guys.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Have you been out and someone was not wearing a mask? So,
- 37:00Speaker 1: if they weren't wearing a mask, have you asked that
- 37:02Speaker 1: person to put his or her mask on? Or did
- 37:05Speaker 1: you just stay away from that person or did you
- 37:07Speaker 1: just leave? How did you handle it? In other words? No,
- 37:10Speaker 1: definitely which one? Well, I haven't been out anywhere, but
- 37:13Speaker 1: if you come to my house, you have to have
- 37:16Speaker 1: on the mask. Oh yeah, you know, making a delivery.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I'm coming in, I'm working, I'm doing some work of
- 37:21Speaker 1: the house. You gotta wear a mask, man, Oh, I
- 37:24Speaker 1: left it in the car. Unless you're planning on doing
- 37:27Speaker 1: your work from the car. Try Jesus, Try Jesus, not me,
- 37:37Speaker 1: because I felt hands Tom, You've done both what you say,
- 37:43Speaker 1: I've done both. I've been around and people you know, talking,
- 37:46Speaker 1: and they ain't got no masks. I just you know,
- 37:49Speaker 1: get by ten fifteen feet away from just back. Hell yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 1: if I go to my son's baseball game, man, they
- 37:55Speaker 1: ain't got no damn mask, none of the outside. But
- 38:00Speaker 1: still that's still I'm sitting there with my mask is
- 38:03Speaker 1: on the entire time, just sweating. I'm sweating, huffing and
- 38:08Speaker 1: puffing breath. You're breathing your own breath back to you
- 38:12Speaker 1: and then out. I think I'm working my lungs more
- 38:16Speaker 1: than anybody, you know, But I feel but I still
- 38:21Speaker 1: feel safer though. But yeah, when you outside, you ain't
- 38:23Speaker 1: no telling what you're gonna see. Man. No, I was
- 38:26Speaker 1: in the mall, Me and uh Tasha, we were in
- 38:28Speaker 1: the mall and we had a mask on. We went
- 38:30Speaker 1: in the store and this black guy working in the store,
- 38:32Speaker 1: and he was like, well, let me know if I
- 38:33Speaker 1: can help y'all. And we were like okay. So these
- 38:35Speaker 1: other these other people came in. They didn't have mask on.
- 38:39Speaker 1: So the guy working at the store said, Hey, my man,
- 38:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna need y'all to put masks on the coming
- 38:44Speaker 1: the store. We ain't got no mask. We ain't putting
- 38:46Speaker 1: on masks on. He said, my man, I'm gonna need
- 38:49Speaker 1: you to come out about to be a situation. Suation
- 38:57Speaker 1: I hear, that's all. We don't do three man. We
- 39:02Speaker 1: don't what junior, what you said we do to my mans.
- 39:09Speaker 1: We don't go. My man, gonna have actions behind it. Yeah,
- 39:16Speaker 1: throw them hands my job he talking man. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:22Speaker 1: he's like a man mask on my daughter. Let's go
- 39:31Speaker 1: where your masks, wash your hands. Social distance please, all right?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, what's
- 39:37Speaker 1: going on and trending political news. We're gonna talk about
- 39:39Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to show, all right,
- 39:45Speaker 1: what's going on? All right, listen to these stories carefully, please,
- 39:48Speaker 1: they're political stories. First, Remember the Trump administration had announced
- 39:52Speaker 1: it while it's conducting a legal review of the Supreme
- 39:55Speaker 1: Court's decision to reject Donald Trump's planned to end the
- 39:59Speaker 1: doctor program. It's still taking steps to end legal protections
- 40:03Speaker 1: of dreamers. The White House will limit the scope of
- 40:06Speaker 1: the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals DOCTA program until it
- 40:11Speaker 1: can find other ways to shut it down. So please
- 40:13Speaker 1: keep in mind. Now, these people have literally grown up
- 40:17Speaker 1: in the US. They don't even know any other country.
- 40:20Speaker 1: They've been here all their lives, and he wants to
- 40:23Speaker 1: end that program, and it's looking for a way to
- 40:26Speaker 1: do again. Wow, I don't get surprised. Every morning you
- 40:35Speaker 1: read some on Trump and you sursed. Well. He's also
- 40:40Speaker 1: resended the Fair Housing Act that Obama started, which would
- 40:47Speaker 1: allow certain oh developments to be put out into the suburbs.
- 40:53Speaker 1: And he's trying to wool the suburban voters by saying,
- 40:57Speaker 1: now you don't have to worry about your crime and
- 41:00Speaker 1: property values loring because I put a stop to that.
- 41:04Speaker 1: He just did that the other day. This dude every
- 41:09Speaker 1: thing anything he can do to show his base that
- 41:15Speaker 1: he is biased, that he is bigger than as them,
- 41:19Speaker 1: racist as them. He has no problem pulling that string.
- 41:23Speaker 1: So let me tell y'all if we don't get him
- 41:26Speaker 1: out of here in November. You all ain't seen nothing yet.
- 41:30Speaker 1: You think you tied to his policy. Now he's faced
- 41:33Speaker 1: with reelection and this is what he's doing. Let him
- 41:36Speaker 1: get another free four years. We're not gonna believe what
- 41:38Speaker 1: he's gonna do to this country, man, And he gonna
- 41:41Speaker 1: cut every program out we ever had. All this unemployment
- 41:45Speaker 1: y'all getting for the excuse me, I don't mean y'all
- 41:48Speaker 1: all this unemployment that he trying to pass out right now,
- 41:52Speaker 1: you know why he's doing that for reelection? Yes, the
- 41:56Speaker 1: Republicans are sympt cut this weight, man, he to cut
- 42:00Speaker 1: this way down. Yeah, the reason he put on the mask,
- 42:04Speaker 1: all of that, all of that has to do with
- 42:06Speaker 1: his re election, Steve, that's his concentration. That that's where
- 42:10Speaker 1: his energy is right now to win in November. Even
- 42:14Speaker 1: if he loses, they're saying he's not gonna want to
- 42:16Speaker 1: leave the White House. He's not. I'm not gonna give
- 42:20Speaker 1: it up. I mean in this country, Yeah, we've always
- 42:23Speaker 1: had a peaceful transition, no matter if it was a
- 42:27Speaker 1: Republican leading and a Democrat coming in or happens. Don't
- 42:31Speaker 1: know if he loses that dude right there, it's gonna
- 42:34Speaker 1: be a wrecking ball before he go. Yeah, that's going
- 42:37Speaker 1: to get him out of there. Yeah. No, there have marines.
- 42:44Speaker 1: We have marines. Yeah, and he's so quick to call
- 42:46Speaker 1: him out. Listen to me, that will be a new president.
- 42:52Speaker 1: He can't stay in that White House man January. Yeah,
- 42:56Speaker 1: he's out. And and it's really sad too, because he
- 42:59Speaker 1: was down in Texas. He has yet to say anything
- 43:04Speaker 1: to the families that have lost people to this corona,
- 43:10Speaker 1: not one thing to these people, because he's just distancing
- 43:14Speaker 1: himself from the whole thing. Y'all this November. We can't
- 43:18Speaker 1: be playing. We can't be playing. I want Ricky Smiley
- 43:22Speaker 1: and d L. Hubilly to get home. Bore. This got
- 43:25Speaker 1: to stop. Ninety six days to the election, Steve, what
- 43:29Speaker 1: were you saying? No, I was saying what you brought
- 43:33Speaker 1: up to farehousing back, and he tweeted that message about
- 43:37Speaker 1: suburban voters on his way to Texas, about property value
- 43:42Speaker 1: and all these things. So it's kind of like he's
- 43:44Speaker 1: trying to appeal to those suburban voters through absolutely Yeah,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and his father. All they buildings they have proven history
- 43:56Speaker 1: of not leasing to black people. He ain't got no
- 44:03Speaker 1: problem getting rid of the Fair Housing Act because he
- 44:05Speaker 1: ain't never practiced fair housing himself. Wow, yeah, all right again,
- 44:12Speaker 1: got to vote. Ninety six days until election day. If
- 44:15Speaker 1: you haven't registered to vote, please go to When We
- 44:19Speaker 1: All Vote dot org. Right now, all right, it's time
- 44:24Speaker 1: to switch gears. Nephew Tommy is here with a prank
- 44:28Speaker 1: phone call, and that's coming up. That craziness is coming up.
- 44:32Speaker 1: He is the king of franks, coming up with a
- 44:35Speaker 1: brand with the new prank right after this you're listening,
- 44:42Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:44Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, the
- 44:47Speaker 1: subject my frumpy friend needs a makeover. My frumpy friend
- 44:54Speaker 1: needs a makeover? All right, Yeah, frumpy, I'm gonna send
- 44:57Speaker 1: this strawberry let out? What do you mean? Yeah? I

- 45:18Speaker 1: prank phone call. I think I got it right that time.
- 45:20Speaker 1: What you got for us? Now? If you can't talk
- 45:23Speaker 1: straight at the barbershop, then where can you talk straight?
- 45:27Speaker 1: Or on the show? This is the barbershop by Brady.
- 45:35Speaker 1: How are you doing? Man? My name, my name is
- 45:36Speaker 1: Dennis Man. I got a hair cut from you a
- 45:38Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago. Yeah, what's up? Hey? Listen, Um,
- 45:42Speaker 1: I wanted to get an appointment with you, man. Uh
- 45:44Speaker 1: Like I said, I was there a couple of weeks ago. Man,
- 45:46Speaker 1: my first time getting hair cut from you. Did a real,
- 45:48Speaker 1: real good job. So I want to say thank you
- 45:50Speaker 1: for that. All right, Okay, do you have any um
- 45:55Speaker 1: any time available on Thursday? Yeah? Yeah, for sure, ye
- 45:59Speaker 1: come up to Thursday to be fine. What's what's what's
- 46:01Speaker 1: your name here? Brother, Dennis Man? Dennis? Okay, Dennis? Why
- 46:05Speaker 1: I can't Dennis about about three o'clock man, something of
- 46:08Speaker 1: that nature. I mean, you know, I know on the
- 46:09Speaker 1: work performance, you know three o'clock you will be there. Yeah, okay, Hey.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I got a little bit of situation though, man, that
- 46:17Speaker 1: happened last time I was there. I kind of wanted
- 46:20Speaker 1: to talk to you about it, man, because it kind
- 46:22Speaker 1: of called me off guard. So I wanted to do
- 46:25Speaker 1: how I let you, man and see if we could
- 46:27Speaker 1: rectify the problem. For I came back up there. What happened?
- 46:30Speaker 1: What's somebody disrespect your something. I mean, what was to do? What? What? Um?
- 46:35Speaker 1: It really wasn't somebody man, it was it was it
- 46:37Speaker 1: was it was actually you me. Whoa, I mean, what's
- 46:40Speaker 1: the what happen? Here's deal? Man? When you was cutting
- 46:43Speaker 1: my hair, when it when it was time to turn
- 46:45Speaker 1: the chair, you didn't turn the chair with with with
- 46:50Speaker 1: with with your hand man. See Brady, man, you you
- 46:53Speaker 1: turned the chair with your with your private part. Oh
- 46:57Speaker 1: come on, say Dennis, I mean, dni, I'm a profess man.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I've been doing this fifteen years bro right right. I
- 47:02Speaker 1: don't think it's anything deliberate. Man. I think you just
- 47:06Speaker 1: do it unconsciously man, because you know you'd be leaning
- 47:08Speaker 1: over on the chair cutting and I think you don't realize,
- 47:12Speaker 1: you know, you be turning the chair with your private
- 47:14Speaker 1: part instead of doing it with your hand man. And see,
- 47:17Speaker 1: my hand got caught out there and I saw it
- 47:20Speaker 1: out the corner of my eyes. I saw your private
- 47:22Speaker 1: part coming towards my hand. I moved it just in time.
- 47:25Speaker 1: You understand, but not see, Dennis, I'm not understanding something.
- 47:30Speaker 1: But because I don't, I don't. We don't operate like that, mind, yes,
- 47:32Speaker 1: because you know I don't make mistakes like that. But
- 47:35Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't know you. You're sure
- 47:37Speaker 1: you're talking to the right person, man, Yeah, I mean,
- 47:39Speaker 1: ain't you the third chair on the right when you
- 47:41Speaker 1: walk in the door. Yeah, that's correct. Okay, that when
- 47:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about, Man, and you cut me two weeks ago,
- 47:47Speaker 1: and like I said, I really like my hair cut,
- 47:48Speaker 1: so I wanted to call back and rectify this problem.
- 47:51Speaker 1: But you know, you gotta turn the chair with your
- 47:53Speaker 1: hand and not your private part. If now we're gonna
- 47:55Speaker 1: have a problem. Okay, brow, I feel it. I understand
- 47:59Speaker 1: you your complaint and everything. I mean, I'm not understanding
- 48:03Speaker 1: what you're saying. But because I don't do that, you know.
- 48:05Speaker 1: But I mean, we will be glad to you know
- 48:07Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You another cut or whatever? You understand? Man,
- 48:10Speaker 1: you know, but I don't move nobody no round with
- 48:13Speaker 1: my produm Man, that's just not being Okay. I understand
- 48:17Speaker 1: what you're saying, but I want you to hear what
- 48:19Speaker 1: I'm saying. If you put your private on there at
- 48:22Speaker 1: all when I come in there Thursday, then I promise
- 48:26Speaker 1: you're gonna jump up and we're gonna have a problem.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Well let's see now now, now right up, and I'm
- 48:32Speaker 1: not I'm not feeling that jump up and having a
- 48:34Speaker 1: problem because you know, you don't really know me like that. Bro,
- 48:37Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I'm trying to be a
- 48:38Speaker 1: professional here and and solve your little issue that you
- 48:41Speaker 1: got your understanding. But but I all this jumping up
- 48:44Speaker 1: and stuff you're talking about doing. I don't know. I'm
- 48:47Speaker 1: trying to come in and get a nice hair cut
- 48:49Speaker 1: and walk out with a nice hair cut. What I
- 48:52Speaker 1: don't want to do. It's come down there, you're lean old,
- 48:54Speaker 1: put your private part. Well, I got my arms in
- 48:57Speaker 1: my hands and I got up. Now that's what I
- 48:59Speaker 1: don't see. Six, you're from the hotline, dude, you're starting.
- 49:02Speaker 1: You're touching the wrong, talking about what you're talking about.
- 49:04Speaker 1: I'm touching you wrong. You touched me wrong two weeks
- 49:07Speaker 1: ago when you put your private on my head. Man,

- 49:24Speaker 1: walk out feeling violated man, because you didn't turn the
- 49:27Speaker 1: chair with your private part all up against my head
- 49:30Speaker 1: and my elbow and stuff. Man, you know what I'm
- 49:32Speaker 1: saying that I'm sing. Bro, You know I'm trying to
- 49:37Speaker 1: talk to your fee. But now you don't run me wrong.

- 50:03Speaker 1: You were you using your hips and your private section

- 50:09Speaker 1: right now I will put something on you. You come on,

- 50:20Speaker 1: a hair cut and walk out of there like a man.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Feel it like a man. I open you. I'm gonna
- 50:25Speaker 1: open you up. Boy. Do you want to stand here now? Now? Now,

- 51:11Speaker 1: Then you might want to you want you want to
- 51:12Speaker 1: know what name gonna be on the shirt? Like then
- 51:16Speaker 1: the name on the shirt is nephew Tommy from the
- 51:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Shown. Say oh man, say bro my
- 51:34Speaker 1: bad man. Hey, Hey, I got one more thing to
- 51:43Speaker 1: ask you, man, what is what is the baddest and
- 51:46Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land. Man,
- 51:57Speaker 1: every man has gone through this. That's why folded you
- 52:02Speaker 1: can you actually keep your arms in your lap because
- 52:04Speaker 1: you don't want them to be on the on the
- 52:06Speaker 1: arm rest of the chair. Because keep you know, when
- 52:09Speaker 1: your bob was trying to move that phone with his
- 52:11Speaker 1: med section. That's not it's it's it's a little uncomfortable
- 52:16Speaker 1: sometimes I don't want you've been to the barbershop at
- 52:18Speaker 1: a long time. But we sit on our hands now.
- 52:22Speaker 1: It's been a wild Junior. I ain't gonna lie to you.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Uh here, Julie's been fourteen years since I had a
- 52:34Speaker 1: hair cut, wild man, its't been that long. It's been
- 52:37Speaker 1: fourteen years. Wold that haircut that was doing it was
- 52:41Speaker 1: a Christmas vacation. Yeah, you haven't had a hair cut.
- 52:45Speaker 1: But when you went bald, I was pregnant. Yeah that
- 52:49Speaker 1: I was gonna say. It has something to do with
- 52:51Speaker 1: because you called you called Mesha twelve. She'll be thirteen
- 52:57Speaker 1: in January. Yeah, but right's I'm telling you because you
- 53:01Speaker 1: was like, I cut my hair. Yeah I was. I
- 53:04Speaker 1: was forty nine years old when I come. Yeah, because
- 53:06Speaker 1: it was for your fiftieth birthday, because she was born.
- 53:08Speaker 1: My fifty birthday was coming. But I cut it in
- 53:11Speaker 1: Christmas while I was forty nine exactly. Remember that excited Yeah,
- 53:17Speaker 1: you were so excited about that. You were like, I
- 53:19Speaker 1: did it, I did it, and you sent us pictures
- 53:25Speaker 1: the freedom man. Yeah, because do you know how long
- 53:29Speaker 1: it took me to cut my hair like that? Every
- 53:31Speaker 1: time I cut it that raised a line across your front.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Scissor cut spray. Yeah, yes, all day long, in fifteen minutes,
- 53:42Speaker 1: three times a week. And when I was on TV,
- 53:45Speaker 1: five hair cuts a week. Wow, you had a lot
- 53:49Speaker 1: of hats. All right, coming up now thinking of you.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters subject my frumpy friend needs to make over.

- 54:16Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 54:19Speaker 1: gonna read this one right here right now. Alal, how
- 54:22Speaker 1: you look here a book live? How loud? Tie? I'll
- 54:27Speaker 1: be r all right, thank you, nephew. Subject my frumpy friend,
- 54:36Speaker 1: My frumpy friend needs a makeover. That was close, all right?
- 54:42Speaker 1: Just Steven Shirley, I'm twenty nine year old woman and
- 54:45Speaker 1: I need your advice on how to help a friend
- 54:47Speaker 1: she's been in quarantine alone. So all I've been hearing
- 54:50Speaker 1: is how lonely she is. Well, here's why. She looks
- 54:55Speaker 1: a hot mess all of the time, and being inside
- 54:58Speaker 1: for three months has made it worse. I know everybody
- 55:01Speaker 1: has been looking crazy since we are stuck inside, but
- 55:05Speaker 1: since she's put on a few pounds and she looks
- 55:08Speaker 1: like she hasn't combed her hair since March. She has
- 55:12Speaker 1: an old sin that is tattered and she hasn't even
- 55:15Speaker 1: bothered to take it out. I told her that shopping
- 55:17Speaker 1: online was a great way for me to feel normal
- 55:21Speaker 1: while I was in the house, but she said the
- 55:23Speaker 1: current styles don't interest her. Her style is different and
- 55:27Speaker 1: she wears her crocs with almost everything. It's like she's
- 55:31Speaker 1: turned into one of those women that wear oversized T
- 55:34Speaker 1: shirts and no bra, short shorts, socks and crocs. Shirley,
- 55:39Speaker 1: let's be clear, Shirley, me, Shirley, let's be clear. She
- 55:44Speaker 1: should never leave the house without a bra. Well, she
- 55:47Speaker 1: not talking to me on that section. Why because I
- 55:51Speaker 1: leave a house all the time without of bra? What
- 55:55Speaker 1: she calls me out? Okay, Shirley, Let's be clear, she
- 55:58Speaker 1: should never leave the house that abroad if if it's
- 56:01Speaker 1: not a good look. All she's been talking about lately
- 56:05Speaker 1: is wanting a man, and she's not being able to
- 56:08Speaker 1: meet a good one. She's got a lot of friends
- 56:11Speaker 1: that are male, and they have told her to shower, shave,
- 56:15Speaker 1: and comb her hair too. Believe me, she's not depressed,
- 56:19Speaker 1: and she's always down for social gatherings. Now that we're
- 56:22Speaker 1: able to go out and do more, but we don't
- 56:25Speaker 1: enjoy being around her because she looks so unkept and raggedy.
- 56:29Speaker 1: She's getting worse and worse, and some of my friends
- 56:32Speaker 1: are ready to cut her off completely. I don't know
- 56:35Speaker 1: if it is a phase or what. Should I be
- 56:38Speaker 1: honest and tell her about herself? I say, absolutely, yes,
- 56:42Speaker 1: you should be honest and tell her about herself. Of course,
- 56:46Speaker 1: don't do it in a hostile way. But you have
- 56:48Speaker 1: some tough love, I say, you know, kind of you know,
- 56:53Speaker 1: just be kind about it, I say, but heavy on
- 56:55Speaker 1: the love part. You are her friend, right, Well, that's
- 56:59Speaker 1: what a friend would do. I mean, a friend would
- 57:01Speaker 1: honestly pull her friend to the side and tell her friends.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Don't let friends neglect their hygiene and come out with
- 57:07Speaker 1: body odor and not combing their hair and all of that.
- 57:10Speaker 1: They don't do that. She's in dire need I think
- 57:14Speaker 1: right now of an intervention based on what you've said
- 57:17Speaker 1: in a letter. And also, let me say this, even
- 57:20Speaker 1: if she is hanging out with you guys, that doesn't
- 57:23Speaker 1: mean that she's not depressed okay, or has some sort
- 57:25Speaker 1: of mental issues. I mean, she's stuck in the house alone,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you know, that could be bothering her, and it's showing.
- 57:33Speaker 1: She's not combing her hair, she's not showering. That's not
- 57:35Speaker 1: a sign that you know, everything is okay. She's not
- 57:39Speaker 1: taking care of herself, she's not shaving. She wants a man.
- 57:42Speaker 1: No man is going to put up with that. Your
- 57:44Speaker 1: friends who aren't sleeping with you and dating you don't
- 57:47Speaker 1: want to put up with it. So I definitely think
- 57:50Speaker 1: you know, I'm no doctor or a psychologist or anything,
- 57:52Speaker 1: but I think it's more to this story. I definitely
- 57:55Speaker 1: think some depression or something has taken over. Yeah. Yeah,
- 58:01Speaker 1: she needs a little help. She needs some friends right now,
- 58:05Speaker 1: and hopefully she'll be willing to hear what you guys
- 58:08Speaker 1: have to say. She hasn't been so far, but you know,
- 58:12Speaker 1: you got to intervene and get in here somewhere, get
- 58:15Speaker 1: through to her some kind of way. Steve, Well, I
- 58:19Speaker 1: don't know how to start this letter. How much time
- 58:24Speaker 1: do I have? Dave about? How how long I got
- 58:28Speaker 1: about two minutes. What I got to say can't be
- 58:32Speaker 1: said in two minutes, so I'm not gonna say nothing.
- 58:36Speaker 1: All I'm gonna do is prepare y'all for what I'm
- 58:39Speaker 1: about to say. Okay, all right, surely I love your response.
- 58:43Speaker 1: You try to really help people. Some people can't be
- 58:49Speaker 1: helped and should therefore, once I determined from my level
- 58:55Speaker 1: of schooling, which is none, and my level of x
- 59:00Speaker 1: her tease and ignorance, which is very high. Yeah, yeah,
- 59:05Speaker 1: I got that. It comes to a point when I
- 59:08Speaker 1: look at some of these letters and I determine I'm
- 59:12Speaker 1: not gonna be able to help this person. So I'm
- 59:15Speaker 1: gonna allow this person to help us. Oh, this person
- 59:21Speaker 1: is about to give us five minutes of complete levity
- 59:27Speaker 1: because I have no advice for this woman except these
- 59:31Speaker 1: damn jokes. God has given me a gift that has
- 59:39Speaker 1: taken me around the world. Why would I not use
- 59:44Speaker 1: that gift on this letter. I'm going to think fully
- 59:52Speaker 1: of how to dismantle this letter in a comedic fashion
- 59:58Speaker 1: that will have y'all talking about it at work all day.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: That's all I used to say. That is what you do.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I am asking God to allow the gift that he
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: has given me to shine through brightly as I talk
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: about a woman who has let herself gone, who gone
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: cut it off, don't give it damn but won A
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: man her friends says she look a hot mess all
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: the time, all the time, and quarantine has not been
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: kind to her. All right, Steve, hold it right there.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: We'll have part two, or actually the body of your
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: The subject of today's letter is my frumpy friend needs
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: a makeover. We'll get into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: My frumpy friend needs a makeover is the subject. This
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: woman is twenty nine and she needs some advice because
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: on how to help a friend. The woman been in
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: quarantine alone, all by herself, so she ain't had nobody
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: to say, you know how you doing today? You know
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you look pretty? That she ain't had that. She's been
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: in quarantine by herself. So and here's why she needs help.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: The ladies say, she look a hot mess all the time,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and being inside for three moss has made it worse.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Let's stop right here. You have a friend that's a
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: hot mess all the damn time. You mean before the quarantine.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I think during Steve since no, no, listen to me,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Listen to what you said. Okay, I need your advice.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: She's been in quarantine, alans, so I've been hearing all
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: about how how alan she is. Here's why she looks
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: a hot mess all the time, and being inside for
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: three months has made it worse. Ye, so before quarantine,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: she was already toe up from the float up. Nah
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: she in quarantine, she'd have lost her damn mind. I know.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Then the lady said, I know everybody'd been looking crazy
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: since we stuck inside. But she'd have put on a
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: few pounds. Now, what is a few pounds, Because if
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you notice as soon as you see her, twenty five
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: is not a few pounds. Now, I'm just gonna tell
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you that right now, she'd have put on some weight.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: And if you already a hot mess, when you put
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: on weight, it's very noticeable cause it's more stuff to
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: turn into a mess. Yeah, so we got that problem
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: right there. She didn't put on some pounds. A lot
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of people didn't put on pounds during the quarantine. But
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: you can't put the pounds on and look a hot mess.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Now you got to still beautify the mess. Okay, now,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: since we stuck inside. But she has an old soul
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: end that is tattered and she ain't even bother to
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: take it out. So what that means is the new
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: growth has been pushing the headline back. How do you know?
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: So in the front it just looked like she' been
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: in the gym just sweating it out. She can't slick
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: it back no more, ain't no licking it, ain't nonna
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: laying it down valley and don't help. Freezed up in
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the front. Then all of a sudden, it's pony hell.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: It got a little front cross the front look like
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: a like a head band. And then right after that,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: just shiny straight out of No damn, this was she got.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: She ain't combed her hair since March. Now I can't
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: say nothing about that because I ain't either, So let's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: just gonna pass that you don't have any I told
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: her to get a great way for me to feel
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: normals when I'm in the house, but she said that
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the Karen styles don't interest her. What Karen style, you know,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: don't interest a woman? When the last time shell it,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: call it? You ain't been interested in the new styles?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I can't recall. Why would you put a new style
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: on a body that's a hot mess. You're just wasting money.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Ain't nobody even gonna noticed the clothes you got on
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: cause of your damn hell if you got that throw
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: in the front and then that pony hair in the back,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: don't nobody know you got on the latest dose shape?
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Don't nobody give a damn Okay, I guess I'm weird shaming.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Now I can't say nothing by the week. Problem, Now
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I got to say I can't say nothing by the hell. Well,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: let's keep moving in. So then her style is different
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: than she wears crocs with almost everything. What did she say?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: She wears oversized T shirts, no braw, short socks and
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: crocs everywhere. Oh so she just outside looking like a
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: white man cutting the grass. She got on the older sis,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: some short socks and some crocs. You just an old
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: white man cutting grays. All right, lady, I got one minute,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: So here I go. So here's what you're gonna have
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: to say to her. These are key lines that you
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: could say to bring her towards the life. Okay, baby,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: you ain't making it. Humh. These are just little subtle
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: lines you can say to a person that's a hot
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: mess to try to get them to come back. You know, baby, baby,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you ain't making it. Humh. Yeah, you know you ain't
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: doing good. Oh okay, here's another one. Okay, well, I see,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I see. Quarantine ain't for everybody so far. That's my favorite.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I love it. You know, how about this one right here? Baby?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: What's going on? Is you hoarding exactly? Because you know
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: horders all them look crazy. He's gonna good right? Here
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: is your water cut off? That? Yeah, she ain't showering.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Here going another one? You don't smell nothing? All right?
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: More in the latter they say, she's not depressed. This
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: your next statement? How you ain't depressed? Right? Post your
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on

- 1:09:13Speaker 1: she light him up? She was not letting him talk
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: at the hearing? She let him up? You know, I can't, Oh,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: she let him up. I can't say it. The only
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: way I remember it. Remember it rhymes with PayPal. That's
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the only way I know. But that Indian girl let

- 1:14:58Speaker 1: what I saw that clip I thought it happened so
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: quickly that it threw the people. Yeah, other other couples
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: of Phaedra was on there with her man. Yeah, and

- 1:15:50Speaker 1: and yelled at her. You lucky, I don't hurt her.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: And a lot of men, the other couples that were there,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: they're being dragged on social media, is what I was
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: trying to say. For not doing anything, for not coming
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: to Tahar's defense. Yeah, and you saw you saw the clip,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: right Stevie, Security, But see this dude right here is

- 1:16:14Speaker 1: off me, take your hands off me, none of that.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Men who hit women don't fight me. I wouldn't be
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: surprised if the show press charges. You cannot allow this
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: to happen to a woman, man, right, you cannot allow this,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: And I don't care if it is a damn reality show.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: These are still our queens. They belong to us. If
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: they want to do a show where they argue with
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: each other and fus and be friends on Friday, that's
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: reality show. But for a dude to get up in
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: front of a camera and calla a woman, are you
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: kidding me? Many anybody with you with that kind of mess?
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Right down at your weak ass, o, water down, punk
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: ass dude, man, grab a dude's call it so you
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: can see high Go all right, thank you, guys. We'll
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I'm some
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: trending news at thirty three minutes after the hour, right
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show. So the other day,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: I think we told you guys about this yesterday. The
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: other day, Junior and I saw each other in the
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: parking lot of a store, and yes, we were both
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: wearing our masks. We were practicing social business, especially to me,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: especially men one on Instagram. There you go, uh huh,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: quit looking up that all the stuff and look, look,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I'll find out where your friends are. It's that my
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: girl Shirley too right, asking for anything, any foolishness. He
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: had come dog right, got it for you. He comes
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: from clothes and remarks. So here's a question, guys, have
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: you been out and someone was not wearing a mask?
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: So if they weren't wearing a mask, if you asked
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: that person to put his or her mask on, or
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: did you just stay away from that person or did
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you just leave? How did you handle it? In other words? No,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: definitely which one? Well, I haven't been out anywhere, but
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: if you come to my house you have to have
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: on the mask. Oh yeah, you know making the delivery.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I'm coming in, I'm working, I'm doing some work in
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: the house. You gotta wear a mask, man, Yeah, oh
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I left it in the car unless you're playing on
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: doing your work from the car. Try Jesus, Try Jesus,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: not me, because I fell on hands. Tom, You've done
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: about what you're saying. I've done both. I've been around
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: and people you know, talking, and there ain't got no masks.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I just you know, get by ten fifteen feet away
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: from just back. Yeah, if I go to my son's
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: baseball game, man, they ain't got no damn mask, none
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: of the outside. But still that's still I'm there with
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: my mask is on the entire time, huffing and puffing breath.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: You're breathing your own breath back to you and then out.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I think I'm working my lungs more than anybody, you know,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: But I feel but I see, I feel safer though.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: But yeah, when you outside, you ain't no telling what
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: you're gonna see. Man. No, I was in the mall,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Me and uh Tasha. We were in the mall and
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: we had a masks on. We went in the store.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: These black euy working in the store. So these other
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: these other people came in. They didn't have mask on.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: So the guy working at the store said, hey, my man,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna need you'll to put masks on the coming
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: the store. We ain't got no mask. We ain't putting
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: on masks on. He said, my man, I'm gonna need
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: you to come out about to be a situation. A
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: situation I hear that all we don't do three mans,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: we don't your face, What Junior, what you say we
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: do two? My means we don't know, my man, go
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: have actions behind yea throwed him hands coming up. It's
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and Steve Harvey will
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: have some closing remarks at forty nine minutes after the hour.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to show well, here we
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: are our last break of the day. I wanted to
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: get this in Steve before we got out of here
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and got to your closing remarks. According to the Atlanta
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Journal Constitution, President Obama is expected to speak at Congressman
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: John Lewis's funeral today in Atlanta. President George Bush and
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: President Clinton will also attend. The services today will be
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. President Obama awarded Congressman
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: Lewis the Presidential Medal of Freedom back in twenty eleven.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: President Obama said when he was elected president of the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: United States, he hugged Congressman Lewis on the inauguration stand
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: and told him I was only there because of the
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: sacrifices he made. That. Yeah, ninety six days until election
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: day in November third, and you know, for this president
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: to openly say he won't attend the services to now
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: the other day to repeal the Affordable Housing Act, to
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: tell the suburbs that he's going to protect the market
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: value of their homes and keep crime down. There is
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: no statistic that says when people of color moved to
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: the suburbs that crime rises. There's no status that at all. See,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: what he doesn't understand is what he doesn't understand or believe,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: is that black people want the same thing everybody else wants.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: They want a better way of life. They want their
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: children to have a better life than they had. They
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: want to participate in the American dream. We want to
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: be homeowners. We want to be law abiding citizens. We
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: want to go to church. We want to live in peace.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: We want to find happiness. We want to have the
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: freedom of speech. We want to have the available right
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: to the pursuit of happiness. But he don't. He don't
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: know that about us, because he doesn't know us at all.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: His cabinet has proved it. I mean that there are
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: no black people in that cabinet, with the exception of
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Ben Carson. That's it. Everybody else he's brought up there
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: has been pure white. I got no problem with that.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: Except dog man, you ain't even thought about your country
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: that you represent and the diversity of it. But you
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: don't bother to make that diversity show up in the
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: White House. After you promised everybody that you were going
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: to drain the swamp. You drained the swamp, man, you
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: cleared it out, and you put all your creatures in
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: people in it, and have them going to jail. And
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: it would be more than that if you would quit
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: pardoning these criminals. Man, this dude is not what we need.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: And if you're sitting at home and sick of watching
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: him on the news, that's something you can do about it.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: You understand that what Michelle Obama says is absolutely correct.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: When we all vote, When we all vote, we can
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: change things. Stop this ignorant mess that show vote don't count.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Your vote count just like they vote count. It's one vote.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: What's wrong with you? Stop my vote don't count. It
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: don't count because you don't cast it. That's when your
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: vote don't count. Your vote counts. Let this man fool
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: you talking about this mail in. It's gonna be fraudulent
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: and all this here. Don't let them stop you with
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: this vote of suppression theme by closing poles in our
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: neighborhoods and condition them down to one and causing you
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: to stand in long lines registered to vote at when
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: we all vote dot org. First make sure you registered,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: and then find out the date that you can start
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: early voting. And then and then we don't have to
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: have these tremendous lines. We have stop procrastinating and waiting
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: till the last minute before we do something. Do something now.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Stop this ignorance that our vote doesn't count. It counted
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: when Barack Obama ran it counted. That was a record
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: turnout at the polls. Guess where in our communities that
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: was a record turnout of the number of votes when
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: that man ran for office. Your vote counted. Then if
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: you didn't vote, then someone's wrong with you, seriously wrong
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: with you. We have got to stop any backwards thinking
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: that will continue to keep us in the place. Black
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: lives matter. Prove it. If you want black lives to matter,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: prove it. Go to the polls and make the best
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: example you can by voting. It's really that simple, y'all.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get off this. I'm not now if
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: you mess around and don't vote and let him get
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: in for another four years. I ain't gonna mention it.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I ain't gonna mention it. But see, I got news
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: for you. I'm not gonna sit here and let this
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: man ruin my life. I'm not gonna do it, because
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna work real hard to put
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: myself into position not to fall prey to his policies. Now,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: until you get in this position, we got to do
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: the thing that we got to do for each other.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Tyler Perry got to vote for all of us. Oprah
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Winfrey got to vote for all all of us. Jamie
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Fox got to vote for all of us. David Chappelle
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: got to vote for all of us. Chris Rock said
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: the entertaining all famous people got to vote for people.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Damn we are you. If it wasn't for you, we
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: wouldn't even boo who we are. We got to vote, man,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: We got to unify and make this vote count. Black
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: lives matter, dammit, prove it. Get to the polls and
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: vote and stop procrastinating. We ain't got time for this man.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: Stop acting like we're in nineteen forty five, this twenty twenty.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: You want them to treat us different than twenty twenty.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: We got to act different than twenty twenty. We got
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: to get asked to the polls and vote for all
