- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know. Y'all back
- 0:10Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: more like the milling bus things in its tubbs. Y'all
- 0:19Speaker 1: do me good it. Steve har listening to the movie
- 0:26Speaker 1: together for study. I don't join by join me in
- 0:53Speaker 1: doing me. Honey, you gotta turn you, you gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: the turnow, got the turnout, then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your back. Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will. Good morning, everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on, dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, I got something for you today.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a conversation this morning about my understanding
- 2:23Speaker 1: of grace now that I've gotten older and I've come
- 2:27Speaker 1: in to a better understanding of a lot of things
- 2:30Speaker 1: I didn't know about when I was younger. This is
- 2:33Speaker 1: just my interpretation of grace. Now once again, y'all listen
- 2:39Speaker 1: to me. I ain't nobody's pastor, I ain't nobody's minister.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So you know, I'm pretty sure you can go to
- 2:46Speaker 1: church and get a far more extensive definition of one
- 2:49Speaker 1: I'm giving you. I'm just talking to people. You know,
- 2:53Speaker 1: grace is this thing that that God provides for us,
- 2:59Speaker 1: and grace's just things that you get that's really undeserving,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you know. I mean, I look at my life as
- 3:08Speaker 1: it is today. You know. Look, I work hard and
- 3:11Speaker 1: I have faith in God that I do so things
- 3:14Speaker 1: are going to happen in my life. But the way
- 3:16Speaker 1: my life is now, I don't. I don't. I don't
- 3:19Speaker 1: deserve all of this. I don't don't. I don't look
- 3:22Speaker 1: at it that way. I have been the beneficiary of
- 3:26Speaker 1: God's grace. I have aligned myself in a position to
- 3:31Speaker 1: accept whatever grace God has for me, and it will
- 3:35Speaker 1: be far abundant and exceedingly in anything you could think of.
- 3:41Speaker 1: His grace supersedes anything you could possibly imagine. You know,
- 3:47Speaker 1: the goals that I set and the aspirations that I
- 3:49Speaker 1: shoot for, and the things that I have on my
- 3:51Speaker 1: dream board. I have the faith that God will give
- 3:54Speaker 1: it to me. But what He does with grace, he
- 3:56Speaker 1: gives you far more than that. He gives you what
- 3:59Speaker 1: He has for you, not what you can see. You
- 4:02Speaker 1: can't see all He has for you. It's impossible. Who
- 4:06Speaker 1: are you? How can you possibly imagine what he can imagine?
- 4:09Speaker 1: How can you possibly think how he can think? How?
- 4:12Speaker 1: How can you possibly do what he can do? How
- 4:14Speaker 1: can it be that isn't a single mind living or
- 4:18Speaker 1: a collection of minds that could have thought of earth?
- 4:22Speaker 1: What in your wildest imagination could have made you think
- 4:26Speaker 1: of Earth? The stars, the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy,
- 4:32Speaker 1: the constellations. What in your mind? What in any man's mind.
- 4:37Speaker 1: We can point at it and analyze it, but we
- 4:39Speaker 1: show it couldn't have thought of it. So come on now,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 4:48Speaker 1: he will give to you if you if you want
- 4:51Speaker 1: some of it now. But now, his thing about grace,
- 4:53Speaker 1: it can't be bought. If it could, if it could
- 4:55Speaker 1: be bought, I'm telling you I would pour all the
- 5:00Speaker 1: money I have and dump it into grace, because, after
- 5:04Speaker 1: discovering what it is, it's this goodness that God shines
- 5:10Speaker 1: on you simply as a reward of some type for
- 5:15Speaker 1: his love for you and for you attempting for you
- 5:19Speaker 1: attempting to do right, not because you get it right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Because if He judged us purely on how we are
- 5:26Speaker 1: the right and wrong of it, we would all be doomed,
- 5:29Speaker 1: all of us, Every last one of us would be
- 5:33Speaker 1: doomed because we all fall short, we all make mistakes,
- 5:38Speaker 1: we all sin, we all get it wrong from time
- 5:42Speaker 1: to time. Nobody's perfect. Man. Now I understand what my
- 5:46Speaker 1: mother was saying about cleaning the house. All I want
- 5:50Speaker 1: is a little more grace. All I need is a
- 5:52Speaker 1: little more grace when the last time you ask God
- 5:55Speaker 1: for some grace. Now I'm not talking to you like
- 5:57Speaker 1: I know everything. If you just benefit from His grace,
- 6:02Speaker 1: which you already have, but if you're not aware of it,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you don't know what's going on. Become aware of grace,
- 6:09Speaker 1: Get aware of the fact that God does things for
- 6:12Speaker 1: you simply because He loves you. He does things for
- 6:15Speaker 1: you that you don't even deserve. Somehow, you just wonder
- 6:18Speaker 1: how you just got over when you didn't even do
- 6:21Speaker 1: the things to get over. Sometimes you don't even know
- 6:26Speaker 1: how you got that job you got when you ain't
- 6:28Speaker 1: even really do the things to get to job. How
- 6:30Speaker 1: you end up where you are all this education you
- 6:33Speaker 1: thought you went and got and had, how you end
- 6:35Speaker 1: up where you are today in a much better position
- 6:38Speaker 1: than your education could have ever gotten you. That's grace.
- 6:43Speaker 1: How I get every place I am today. I didn't
- 6:46Speaker 1: plan this. Man, If I could have planned my life
- 6:48Speaker 1: the way it is, don't you know how to have have
- 6:49Speaker 1: done it when I was living in that car, if
- 6:52Speaker 1: I knew how to do it. No, I benefited from
- 6:54Speaker 1: his grace. I'm just a beneficiary of his grace, of
- 7:00Speaker 1: his goodness and his mercy. God's goodness is better than
- 7:04Speaker 1: your goodness. God's goodness is better than your mother's goodness.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It's better than your wife's or your husband or your
- 7:11Speaker 1: booze goodness. God's goodness is different. His goodness Man covers
- 7:17Speaker 1: some stuff you can't even imagine. So why are you
- 7:21Speaker 1: trying to put your life together when the last time
- 7:24Speaker 1: you asked him for just a little bit of grace?
- 7:27Speaker 1: When have you thought of your life in terms of
- 7:30Speaker 1: the grace that it has already benefited from? Have you
- 7:34Speaker 1: ever done that? Man? Just thought about it? You know
- 7:37Speaker 1: you hear songs like my soul looked back and wonder
- 7:40Speaker 1: how I got over. That's grace, That's all I can
- 7:43Speaker 1: call it. Now. Like I said, you can go at
- 7:44Speaker 1: church or somewhere ever you want to, and ministers that
- 7:47Speaker 1: the wind at school to teach this thing way better
- 7:50Speaker 1: than me I'm just giving you from a layman standpoint. Man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: have you thought about his grace? Would you not bewailed
- 7:56Speaker 1: to be a beneficiary of his grace? Would it not? Now?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Check this out. The better you try to do, the
- 8:04Speaker 1: more grace he'll give to you. And that grace can't
- 8:07Speaker 1: be bought. Like I said, it's free. You can't purchase grace.
- 8:12Speaker 1: But the better you try to become the more the
- 8:14Speaker 1: more grace he gets to put your way. So man,
- 8:18Speaker 1: just try Why don't you just try to do better? Look, man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: quick tip. Minda I'm gonna start next week. I'm gonna
- 8:25Speaker 1: start at the new year. Now you now you do
- 8:27Speaker 1: that every year, you know the evers at the new year,
- 8:30Speaker 1: we eat better at the new year. I'm gonna I'm
- 8:32Speaker 1: gonna gonna get in here and the new year. If
- 8:34Speaker 1: you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it now. Man,
- 8:37Speaker 1: You're gonna do not stop trying to do something, do it,
- 8:42Speaker 1: stop talking about it, do it now. The best way
- 8:45Speaker 1: to benefit from his grace is starting action now in
- 8:50Speaker 1: old w now right now today. What you're waiting on.
- 8:55Speaker 1: All you're doing is delaying his opportunity to bless you.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know, man, you know. Do you know how many
- 9:02Speaker 1: times we do that? We delay his opportunity to bless
- 9:05Speaker 1: us by not starting now. If you're gonna get healthy,
- 9:09Speaker 1: why don't you start now? Now? You're gonna trip a
- 9:11Speaker 1: little bit called the holidays coming. But you ain't got
- 9:14Speaker 1: to eat bad all the time. You could start eating
- 9:16Speaker 1: correct today you could, you could, and then guess what
- 9:20Speaker 1: that could be? Some grace on the end of that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm just giving you a little cheap analogy, But do
- 9:26Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying to you? Start thinking in
- 9:28Speaker 1: terms of grace, what He has done for you and
- 9:31Speaker 1: provided for you that you ain't even see coming. That
- 9:34Speaker 1: you know, you keep calling them blessings and I got
- 9:36Speaker 1: that a lot of it, and us all it is.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But man, have you thought about the stuff that didn't
- 9:40Speaker 1: happen to you? You can't account for I. For me,
- 9:45Speaker 1: that's been grace and I'm beneficiary of it. And that's
- 9:48Speaker 1: available to everybody that won't sull Next time you're talking
- 9:52Speaker 1: to him, just check in with grace. See what that is.
- 9:54Speaker 1: That's that's better than money. You're listening, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: may have undivided attention. Please, Today is the day that
- 10:06Speaker 1: the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad
- 10:09Speaker 1: in it. I have a special announcement today today, It's

- 10:34Speaker 1: not in a manger, but in the living room that
- 10:38Speaker 1: looked like a barn. The boy was born to two
- 10:41Speaker 1: old people from the country or coal miner and a
- 10:44Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher. They raised him well, They woke the
- 10:48Speaker 1: best for him. They had no idea that him was me.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, my mama I lost Vera Harvey, and
- 10:58Speaker 1: my daddy, Jesse slick Man Harvey made me. I am
- 11:04Speaker 1: here today celebrated sixty three years of living man birthday.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Why do you see this coming? I swap. I thought
- 11:13Speaker 1: I was gone at forty one sixty. I thought it
- 11:18Speaker 1: was only twenty four thirty three with the please having
- 11:21Speaker 1: him up on the ground and that prop stopped with
- 11:23Speaker 1: my cor open up and they said they're gonna blow
- 11:26Speaker 1: my brains. I thought I was gone there, but I'm
- 11:28Speaker 1: here having birthday. Steve Harvey Sherley happy birthday, Steve Harvey.
- 11:33Speaker 1: We're so glad you're here. We're so glad you're here.

- 12:04Speaker 1: I mean, give him some more, some love. The fly
- 12:11Speaker 1: three I've ever seen more words. My word, that word,
- 12:17Speaker 1: the sexiest, the richest, the funniest. Stop start over, Shirley,
- 12:22Speaker 1: start over, the sexiest, stop wait, stop sniest, it's his day. Tommy,
- 12:31Speaker 1: shut up, you shut yeah, you can't hang on this
- 12:35Speaker 1: birthday ahead, black birthday party. People started to fight, you know,
- 12:40Speaker 1: call it. Go ahead, give me more. I said the
- 12:43Speaker 1: funniest Thank you, Junior, your best teacher I've ever known.

- 13:06Speaker 1: back to you, the richest college, the greatest storyteller ever,

- 14:37Speaker 1: thing I got more than Tyler Perry is kids and marriages.
- 14:46Speaker 1: That's funny, man. Oh my God, you just kept one.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Steve J. Anthony Brown has been out. He's back today.
- 14:58Speaker 1: He's here to break down the year you were born.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, and I meant, what when do we meet? Steve?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Nineteen eighty five, nineteen eighty five. For a year you
- 15:08Speaker 1: were born, the number one show on TV was Gun
- 15:11Speaker 1: Smoke and I Love Lucy, which meant wall any time
- 15:15Speaker 1: a black person was on television, somebody had to yell
- 15:18Speaker 1: out black people on TV. Gas was thirty one cents
- 15:28Speaker 1: a gallon. Dog. I bought gas for thirty eight center
- 15:34Speaker 1: gallany thirty one cents a gallon, And that meant the
- 15:37Speaker 1: same guy who put that nasty fluid on your window
- 15:40Speaker 1: and asking for a dollar was still there. You was
- 15:43Speaker 1: still around. You were still around. A dozen eggs would
- 15:47Speaker 1: cost you fifty seven cents for a dozen end what
- 15:52Speaker 1: black people? Cholesterol was still high and it's going higher, okay.
- 15:57Speaker 1: When you were the Cleveland Browns had a record of
- 16:01Speaker 1: nine and one. Lord, we can get some of them
- 16:05Speaker 1: guys to play to day. A post stam was three cents,
- 16:14Speaker 1: which means if you mailed a letter when Steve was born,
- 16:18Speaker 1: you might be getting that letter today. That's what that
- 16:21Speaker 1: means if you might be it just got it here,
- 16:25Speaker 1: It just got here. The average rent was seventy five
- 16:28Speaker 1: dollars a month. Also, that meant the average person was
- 16:32Speaker 1: two and a half months behind. And the rent Wow
- 16:36Speaker 1: a movie was sixty seven cents. And the year that
- 16:40Speaker 1: you was born was the first time black people started
- 16:44Speaker 1: talking in the movies. That's when you were born and
- 16:46Speaker 1: started right A man, soup was twenty eight dollars. Now
- 16:54Speaker 1: you can only get a soup color in black, brown,
- 16:57Speaker 1: and gray, except in Cleveland in de truck you can
- 17:01Speaker 1: get any color. You boy like that? Just like that, Jake,
- 17:06Speaker 1: all day. Albert's been open since slavery. Yes, it had
- 17:10Speaker 1: year that she was born. Steve. This is a great
- 17:15Speaker 1: fact right here. George Wallace had graduated from high school,
- 17:19Speaker 1: had received his master His mama was his chauffeur, and
- 17:24Speaker 1: his opening act she would do fifteen minutes about who
- 17:29Speaker 1: his real daddy was the year you was born. Happy birthday,
- 17:37Speaker 1: Now that's how you birthday somebody right, Okay, welcome back Jay,
- 17:43Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Steve Man. Yeah, what's been the most memorable birthday? Dog?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Which one? You know, the Bible has something and that's
- 18:00Speaker 1: really been true. In my life said if you love
- 18:03Speaker 1: me and you honor me, your ladder days will be greater.
- 18:07Speaker 1: My sixtieth birthday was one of my I probably will
- 18:13Speaker 1: never forget. I had every last one of my children,
- 18:18Speaker 1: all of my grandchildren, my in laws. We were all
- 18:22Speaker 1: on the island of Aguila. My wife had gotten a yacht.
- 18:28Speaker 1: We had some people on the boat with us, and
- 18:30Speaker 1: we had everybody put up at the Four Seasons Hotel
- 18:33Speaker 1: in Aguila, and she got a villa on the island
- 18:37Speaker 1: and so we could go from the boat to the villa.
- 18:40Speaker 1: They could go from the villa to the boat. And
- 18:43Speaker 1: that was probably my sixtieth birthday. That gift she gave
- 18:46Speaker 1: me was like really off the chain, man. It had
- 18:49Speaker 1: topped everything I'd ever had prior to that. My sixty
- 18:53Speaker 1: was pretty good and just today I won't have all that.
- 18:58Speaker 1: But I don't. I don't want all that. I didn't.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I didn't think I wanted that then. But Margie, don't
- 19:03Speaker 1: listen to it. She do. She wanted to do right.
- 19:06Speaker 1: He's sixty, it's the big one. Shit. So we have milestone.
- 19:11Speaker 1: But today you know I'm in Africa, and you know
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm working my birthday cake and stuff in Africa. Oh no, no,
- 19:19Speaker 1: here's the deal today. You know, I've been doing intermittent
- 19:22Speaker 1: fasting and I've been watching my everything today. All bex
- 19:27Speaker 1: is off you girls, I get off this show right here.
- 19:32Speaker 1: First thing, I'm eating this waffles and some chicken. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you go, and waffles in on my lunch break, I'm
- 19:40Speaker 1: gonna have pizza, and then for dinner, I'm having some
- 19:45Speaker 1: type of cake, ice cream and some type of real
- 19:48Speaker 1: fattening food. First, how I do it? Ice cream got
- 19:53Speaker 1: to be in it, Pardner cream, yesal saute the thing? Yeah, yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: not real real. Can I tell y'all something, Jay, You
- 20:09Speaker 1: was telling me all of the stuff about how old
- 20:12Speaker 1: I was. Can I tell y'all how old I really am? M? Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 1: when I was born? Yeah? Jay, Anthony Brown was on
- 20:27Speaker 1: his third wife when you were born. Child's enough. You
- 20:46Speaker 1: would run that break back right after this. You're listening
- 20:53Speaker 1: all right? Coming up at the top of the Hour
- 20:55Speaker 1: and Entertainment News, Tyler Perry will be our very special
- 20:59Speaker 1: special guest. But right now, Nephew in the building with
- 21:02Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for us today?
- 21:04Speaker 1: Nev your wife gave me a disease? Hello? Hello, I'm
- 21:15Speaker 1: trying to reach out. I'm trying to reach Dante. Yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 1: this is hell. Who this? Hey? How you doing? Man? Um?
- 21:21Speaker 1: I'm just to be certain you Dante is married to Tammy,
- 21:23Speaker 1: right Yeah? Okay, cool? Cool? So listen, man, Uh, you've
- 21:28Speaker 1: heard about me, you know, maybe heard my name before
- 21:31Speaker 1: because I used to day Sammy way before you guys
- 21:34Speaker 1: got married. Uh you know my name is, My name
- 21:37Speaker 1: is Marcella. So I just want to call and say
- 21:39Speaker 1: how are you doing? But I need to Okay, Yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 1: I know she mentioned you mentioned y'all used to be
- 21:45Speaker 1: together before we Yeah, okay, I've heard about you. What's um?
- 21:49Speaker 1: What's the phone call for? I needed to talk to you, man.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And I've been holding this back at least four years.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You know, I haven't said anything. And you know I
- 22:00Speaker 1: can't hold it no more. Man, I'm going through so
- 22:02Speaker 1: many issues right now. I just gotta I gotta get
- 22:05Speaker 1: this thing. I gotta get some grips on this thing
- 22:07Speaker 1: that I'm going through. But you know, I wanted to
- 22:10Speaker 1: come to you, man, to man, talk to you about
- 22:12Speaker 1: this situation. You know, I hate to bring it to
- 22:15Speaker 1: you like this, but when me and Cammy were together,
- 22:19Speaker 1: I don't even say when we were together, Tammy gave
- 22:23Speaker 1: me a disease. Man. So you know I've been holding this,
- 22:28Speaker 1: you know, and I gotta say I I wanted to
- 22:31Speaker 1: hit you up. I thought about it two years ago.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I wanted like, what do you mean like she gave
- 22:38Speaker 1: you a disease? She gave me a disease about four
- 22:41Speaker 1: plus years ago, this way before y'all got married. I'm
- 22:44Speaker 1: from understanding y'all been married about three years, right, yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 1: oh my god. Okay, okay, and you're calling me. You're
- 22:53Speaker 1: calling me to get me the heads up. No, man,

- 29:45Speaker 1: on top of the line, top notch, first class production

- 30:24Speaker 1: It's called A Fall from Grace. Ladies and gentlemen other
- 30:27Speaker 1: than our friend, one and only Kyler Perry, Morning, good morning,
- 30:37Speaker 1: good morning, birthday in order. Yeah, well, yeah, you know, Tyler,
- 30:46Speaker 1: I didn't have a lot of them. They starting to
- 30:49Speaker 1: mean more every year. Hey, listen, you gotta appreciate everyone. Up, man,
- 30:54Speaker 1: I'm with you. I'm with you. Wanting to tell you something. Yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 1: because missing one ain't good? So no, exactly exactly right,
- 31:03Speaker 1: listening ain't good? Hey man, let's talk about this. For
- 31:06Speaker 1: the first time ever, you've done a film on Netflix.
- 31:09Speaker 1: It's called A Fall from Grace. It's a thriller, and
- 31:13Speaker 1: it's around a woman that's charged with the murder of
- 31:16Speaker 1: her husband. But what is this movie about this, Tyler Perry,
- 31:21Speaker 1: this is new for you, man. This is a thriller,
- 31:24Speaker 1: so what can we expect? It's on Netflix. My problem
- 31:27Speaker 1: with trying to get trying to get through all of
- 31:29Speaker 1: the all these interviews without giving away there's so much
- 31:32Speaker 1: of it because I'm telling you, there's so many twists
- 31:33Speaker 1: and plot turns at the end. Everybody who's singing has
- 31:35Speaker 1: been on the edge of their seat, screaming, yelling, can't
- 31:38Speaker 1: believe it. And people call me predictable. You ain't figuring
- 31:41Speaker 1: this now, you ain't gonna figure this. I read something.
- 31:50Speaker 1: They were like, oh, Tyler, so they saw the trailer, like, oh,
- 31:52Speaker 1: I know the whole movie. I've seen the Trailer's old.
- 31:54Speaker 1: That's all that kyl of Perris Son say something, watch
- 31:56Speaker 1: this movie. I promise you you won't even you won't
- 31:59Speaker 1: the twisting turns. You're not to be figured out if
- 32:01Speaker 1: you see it. Dre Yes, I did. Let me say something, Tyler,
- 32:04Speaker 1: this should be a theater where you have mandatory black
- 32:07Speaker 1: people talking in the movie. I'm talking definitely be allowed
- 32:12Speaker 1: to talk in the theater. Okay, because that's that's the
- 32:18Speaker 1: great thing about Netflix. You can sit at home and
- 32:20Speaker 1: talk all you gonna. Cary Tyler, you must have got
- 32:26Speaker 1: tired because look, I know you man, I know what
- 32:29Speaker 1: you've done for this business. But you know when people
- 32:33Speaker 1: talk about eyes predictable, you don't got sick of the
- 32:35Speaker 1: ass a little bit, just a little bit. You know.
- 32:39Speaker 1: The thing about it is, I keep winning, So it's
- 32:41Speaker 1: all right, let him, let them keep talking. Every time
- 32:46Speaker 1: I look up, every time I turn around, I'm being
- 32:49Speaker 1: bored more and more than less. Thing. You know why,
- 32:50Speaker 1: it is because God has given me an audience that
- 32:52Speaker 1: it's with me. I mean, I got the rider died.
- 32:56Speaker 1: They ain't going to see it no way, that's right.
- 33:00Speaker 1: She will all be there. Yeah, focus on the love.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And really, what has a hatter stopped anyway? Nothing? This
- 33:09Speaker 1: movie got Crystal Fox for silver Shaw, Cecily Tyson, you
- 33:13Speaker 1: starting in the movie too. This had to be a
- 33:16Speaker 1: great cast for you, man, you pull these people together. Man,
- 33:21Speaker 1: no Heaven, listen to me, having because I wrote this
- 33:24Speaker 1: movie before Acrimony, so it's been on the shelf for
- 33:26Speaker 1: a while. But for the right I was waiting for
- 33:29Speaker 1: the right cast and listen to Crystal Fox. He plays
- 33:31Speaker 1: hand them to having having not send forty years in
- 33:33Speaker 1: the business. It's the first time after the leading role.
- 33:35Speaker 1: And this woman is brilliant. She is killing it and
- 33:40Speaker 1: is killing it, and she plays the character that's gonna
- 33:42Speaker 1: blow everybody's mind, especially Tyson Umco maccod is man leading
- 33:48Speaker 1: man killing it in this thing. And Brechia Webb her
- 33:51Speaker 1: first time in a in a in a dramatic role. Man,
- 33:55Speaker 1: they killed it. I just can't wait for people to
- 33:56Speaker 1: see it. I'm so excited because everybody around the whole
- 33:59Speaker 1: world gets to see is at the same time. That's
- 34:01Speaker 1: the first time that's ever happened with one of my films.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Oh wow, so national and international global. Yeah, you can
- 34:10Speaker 1: be over there in Africa watching it at the same
- 34:12Speaker 1: time we're watching The Year. I try to tell you,
- 34:16Speaker 1: and I'm off Sunday. Yeah, there it is. Man, I'm
- 34:20Speaker 1: fit to punch up because it's on right now on Netflix. Yeah,
- 34:24Speaker 1: starting to run the midnight tonight starts to midnight tonight.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Wait a minute, this what what day is? What time
- 34:29Speaker 1: is it? Ah? You right, I've been promote to much.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I don't even know what data. Yes, it's on Netflix
- 34:33Speaker 1: right now. Go watch it right now. I'm gonna talk
- 34:38Speaker 1: to well you you watching now? Hell day, we don't
- 34:43Speaker 1: get ready rated like that no more. They got d
- 34:46Speaker 1: damn meda boxes now. But you digress back to Tyler.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I've just had a moment. Hi, y'all, Hey, listen,
- 34:57Speaker 1: it is in full play, So y'all ain't gonna We'll
- 35:01Speaker 1: be back with more. Ignor asked Tyler right after this,
- 35:07Speaker 1: We're gonna put it off on you. Tyler, you're listening, Hi,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and everybody. We're back and we've been sitting here talking
- 35:17Speaker 1: with one of our favorite people. He's a family member,
- 35:20Speaker 1: Tyler Perry. Now you know what Tyler man like. It's
- 35:23Speaker 1: so cool man, because you know, man, to watch a
- 35:26Speaker 1: cat like you who's like a Christian but a real
- 35:30Speaker 1: dude at the same time. You know what I mean. Man,
- 35:32Speaker 1: You ever talking with a Christian and you can't really
- 35:35Speaker 1: talk cause heat and cram so many scriptures at you
- 35:39Speaker 1: that you head scrambling, you know, brother, First Corinthians four
- 35:44Speaker 1: nineteen says and then Mark three and eight. Dog, I
- 35:47Speaker 1: don't know none of I need a custom Christian, you
- 35:49Speaker 1: need a custom Yeah, it's just a man how how
- 35:53Speaker 1: have you kept the balance in your life just to
- 35:57Speaker 1: maintain true to who you are in the same time
- 36:00Speaker 1: be this huge mega started you become. You can't come for.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You can't grow up in my mama's house, in Maxkine's
- 36:06Speaker 1: house and be anybody else. She wasn't a person that
- 36:09Speaker 1: faked that. She wasn't a person that you know. We
- 36:11Speaker 1: lived as we were, And I don't know how to
- 36:13Speaker 1: be anybody else other than myself. Man, I'm grateful for
- 36:15Speaker 1: everything I have. He could all be going tomorrow. I
- 36:18Speaker 1: want to celebrate. I want to wake up appreciating it.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I don't complain about it. That just getting that do
- 36:22Speaker 1: what I gotta do. So when you realize that you
- 36:25Speaker 1: can be on the plane and everything's gone in the
- 36:26Speaker 1: next second, you know it could be over the next
- 36:29Speaker 1: I can How can you be arrogant and talking about that.
- 36:32Speaker 1: So I'm just grateful to God that he's hold it
- 36:34Speaker 1: all together for me. YEA, go ahead, mister Perry, you're
- 36:45Speaker 1: gonna kiss his ass. That's what he's saying. That damn
- 36:54Speaker 1: and he's still Harry Perry. Okay, but when do you sleep?
- 37:08Speaker 1: That's what I want to over. I listen, I building breaks.
- 37:11Speaker 1: STEPA tell you this, I building breaks for my life.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I don't. I don't work hard like this all the time.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Like I like to go three months go hard and
- 37:18Speaker 1: that NonStop, and then I'll take a month off and
- 37:21Speaker 1: just go do nothing. So so that's that's I'm able
- 37:24Speaker 1: to maintain it because I couldn't keep this taste up
- 37:27Speaker 1: year round. And I write so fast and I shoot
- 37:30Speaker 1: so fast, and it gives me a lot of downtime
- 37:32Speaker 1: in between, mister Perry gets some rest. You you've done
- 37:42Speaker 1: it in a way that has really changed the way
- 37:46Speaker 1: it could be done. You broke the system. You know,
- 37:49Speaker 1: they said in order for a show to go syndicate
- 37:52Speaker 1: it you had to be five years, twenty two episodes, Tyler,
- 37:57Speaker 1: when you shot Meet the Browns and stuff like that,
- 38:00Speaker 1: what was your shooting schedule? Like, we were shooting probably
- 38:05Speaker 1: three episodes a week. We went to we went to UH,
- 38:08Speaker 1: we went to UH, syndicates to one hundred episodes and
- 38:12Speaker 1: in less than a year and a half. Man so
- 38:14Speaker 1: we But but you know, I hire a lot of
- 38:16Speaker 1: theater actors who and here's the thing, though I didn't
- 38:18Speaker 1: learn in Hollywood. I didn't come up in that system.
- 38:20Speaker 1: So Nothing in that system made sense to me, so
- 38:23Speaker 1: I would always find another way to do it. I
- 38:25Speaker 1: could say, no, it don't take seven days to shoot
- 38:27Speaker 1: a sitcom. We can shoot that a lot faster. I
- 38:29Speaker 1: just broke all those modes because I wasn't trained that way,
- 38:32Speaker 1: that's all. I didn't learn that way, so I didn't
- 38:34Speaker 1: have to unlearn it. Tyler Perry, hold on one second, man, Hey, listen, y'all.
- 38:37Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the legend Tyler Perry
- 38:40Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, y'all, We're back,
- 38:46Speaker 1: as promise. We're gonna do a little bit more. Right here.
- 38:50Speaker 1: We got our buddy on the phone, I mean, real
- 38:52Speaker 1: family member. Man, he's set in on the show. He's
- 38:55Speaker 1: meant a lot to us over the years. We're talking
- 38:56Speaker 1: with the one and only Tyler Perry. So, Tyler, So
- 39:01Speaker 1: here's the deal, man, This is what I was thinking.
- 39:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna just throw this out there on the air
- 39:05Speaker 1: because I've been hustling this deal for a long time.
- 39:09Speaker 1: We think, yeah, man, this one we're pitching right now.
- 39:14Speaker 1: We're pitching. No, I'm pitching. This is pitched pitch. This
- 39:24Speaker 1: is bout and paid for our own. This proposition. I
- 39:31Speaker 1: have shopped it. I have gotten several offers. I just
- 39:35Speaker 1: don't like the people. I am telling you that you
- 39:40Speaker 1: and I should do the family Feud movie period. I
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't care what the deal play out to be. I
- 39:50Speaker 1: think me and you should do it. Man, let's we
- 39:53Speaker 1: talked about that. Man, let's figure it. I'll be waiting
- 39:55Speaker 1: on you. Well. Can I say something? What do you
- 40:00Speaker 1: want to say to mister Perry? Now say to you, sir.
- 40:03Speaker 1: It will help you get this deal done if you
- 40:05Speaker 1: use the phrase mister Perry. Yeah, there you gonna see.
- 40:16Speaker 1: And can I add mister Perry that I am best
- 40:19Speaker 1: person to play steal hard with mister Perry? I am.
- 40:22Speaker 1: That's like you have to have from Chemo. D Hey, ladies, ladies, ladies,
- 40:33Speaker 1: let me call you, Let me call you out down.
- 40:34Speaker 1: You all are a little black man humor. You don't
- 40:38Speaker 1: have a lot of bounds on it. Talk about Ja
- 40:43Speaker 1: as Chemo? Where he getting it? Ain't he only reason?
- 40:50Speaker 1: The only reason I bought that up is because Jay
- 40:52Speaker 1: always prinked it up. He always that's right time up. Man.
- 40:56Speaker 1: You know I gotta go to Chemo. But look at
- 41:02Speaker 1: you blessed him like that. That's why you're so blessed.
- 41:05Speaker 1: That's that's why you're so successful, Tyler. That's why because
- 41:08Speaker 1: you always give back and and that's just it. And
- 41:11Speaker 1: we looked forward to seeing the movie A Fall from
- 41:14Speaker 1: Grace and tell us about the whole Netflix deal. But
- 41:18Speaker 1: we'd be seeing any more projects from you from Netflix. Well,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I have my own streaming service, which b ET plus.
- 41:25Speaker 1: No no no none, no stop stop stop. You ain't
- 41:29Speaker 1: gonna just blow by this. No no, no, no, no
- 41:31Speaker 1: no no hell no no. So I like people know
- 41:36Speaker 1: I have my own now he bought. Yeah, he's so big.
- 41:43Speaker 1: It was already there. He bought y'all streaming wrong, streaming
- 41:52Speaker 1: time problem. Sitting in the middle in the meeting of
- 41:54Speaker 1: bt Is said I like your stream as well. We
- 41:56Speaker 1: don't have that in the budget. I'll tell you what,
- 41:58Speaker 1: let me buy y'all's ass. That's how that went. I'd
- 42:04Speaker 1: have been in a couple of meetings with him. I
- 42:05Speaker 1: hadn't seen it. And Win, you better be a gangster boy,
- 42:10Speaker 1: you were saying, Tyler, and go ahead, So he was
- 42:12Speaker 1: saying he fought b E. T. Street. He old that
- 42:15Speaker 1: go ahead and knock Tyler. So I own precented B
- 42:19Speaker 1: plus and damn Neil, all of it. That's the percentage
- 42:24Speaker 1: that man, do this. I own the percentage. Damn Neil,
- 42:30Speaker 1: all of it. Go ahead and Tyler so so so
- 42:37Speaker 1: as far as that flick goes, Yeah, I love to
- 42:40Speaker 1: do more with him. This is my first time working
- 42:42Speaker 1: with him. I walked in that room and I never
- 42:44Speaker 1: thought that kind of diversity in Hollywood anywhere. I was
- 42:47Speaker 1: blown away, blown away my meeting. So so yeah, I
- 42:51Speaker 1: want to I want to do more with him, and
- 42:53Speaker 1: hopefully that's some kind of partnership where we can do
- 42:55Speaker 1: what I could buy on the Netflix. Everybody, shut up,
- 43:04Speaker 1: Holy y'all, shut up, you know, mister Perry. Hey if
- 43:15Speaker 1: this in word by Netflix name for inward Flix. Oh
- 43:30Speaker 1: all right, y'all, let's say, well, hang on, Tyler, hang
- 43:33Speaker 1: on man, we'll be right back. We'll be back with
- 43:35Speaker 1: more from Tyler Perry right after there. Shall you're listening
- 43:39Speaker 1: morning show? All right, y'all be back. That's promised. Let
- 43:43Speaker 1: me pull myself together here. Shut up. As people trying
- 43:52Speaker 1: to get a job, y'all, sickle some work for health.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Ask people back to this interview. The movie is called
- 44:04Speaker 1: Far from GSM. It's on Netflix. Right now. It's a thriller.
- 44:11Speaker 1: It has so many twisting turns. You ain't gonna believe
- 44:14Speaker 1: it again. You all have gotten to get and get
- 44:18Speaker 1: it on. Man. I'm you know what, man, I I've
- 44:22Speaker 1: known this, but it's it's a really weird story man.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Because a guy named al Wash bought Tyler Perry to
- 44:31Speaker 1: my house in nineteen ninety seven, ninety six and was
- 44:37Speaker 1: trying to get me to invest in these plays from
- 44:41Speaker 1: this guy who had just been recently come out of homelessness. Well,
- 44:47Speaker 1: a guy sitting in my house name was Tyler Perry.
- 44:50Speaker 1: What al Wash didn't know? He is, I didn't have
- 44:53Speaker 1: two damn quarters to scrape again to me, like I
- 44:58Speaker 1: got investment money. If you had twenty five thousand dollars,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I said, If I was thinking to myself when I
- 45:05Speaker 1: watched it, twenty five thousand dollars, I said, if I
- 45:07Speaker 1: had twenty five thousand dollars, wouldn't be talking to y'all too.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if I believe that though,
- 45:15Speaker 1: Because I was in that house. That house was sick.
- 45:17Speaker 1: I pulled up in that house. I was like, Lord,
- 45:20Speaker 1: is this what I could do? One day? Tommy? No, no, Tyler,
- 45:23Speaker 1: that's all I had. I bought that house with a
- 45:28Speaker 1: three hundred thousand dollars check that I had got from
- 45:31Speaker 1: an advance from ABC. I put the whole three hundred
- 45:34Speaker 1: thousand dollars down on that million dollar house. When I
- 45:38Speaker 1: put that money down, I had seventeen hundred dollars left,
- 45:42Speaker 1: and I had to go out to make that house
- 45:44Speaker 1: note every month. I didn't have no money when I
- 45:48Speaker 1: had that house though. That But hold up, though, but Tyler,
- 45:57Speaker 1: I've been too a few of your houses we all
- 46:02Speaker 1: had about I didn't walked into some places and win
- 46:10Speaker 1: this black bastard. Look what God can do, won't he
- 46:17Speaker 1: do it? Hey? Tyler? It has been a pleasure, man,
- 46:24Speaker 1: to have relationship with you, to watch what you have done,
- 46:27Speaker 1: to be the type of man you are, to go
- 46:30Speaker 1: through what you've gone through, and to come out on
- 46:32Speaker 1: this side of it and still striving, still climbing, still believing,
- 46:37Speaker 1: still encouraging, still providing jobs for so many African Americans
- 46:41Speaker 1: that we're having. You are in our lifetime. Spike Lee
- 46:48Speaker 1: started us into the directing capacity. I think Spike Lee
- 46:53Speaker 1: was a big part of us. But in our generation,
- 46:57Speaker 1: that has never been a black filmmaker, producer, provider jobs
- 47:03Speaker 1: and opportunities. Then Tyler Perry and Tyler Perry Studio standing
- 47:08Speaker 1: in Atlanta, Georgia, testament to this man's real greatness in
- 47:13Speaker 1: this Hollywood, his love for God and God's favor in
- 47:17Speaker 1: his life. If y'all ain't been the Tyler Perry Studio,
- 47:21Speaker 1: get your ass on the bus and get over there.
- 47:25Speaker 1: One more time, Steve, one more time, get your ass
- 47:28Speaker 1: on the bus. You're gonna thank you. Some white folks
- 47:34Speaker 1: on it, but at one it's percent. It's so impressive.
- 47:40Speaker 1: It really I gotta say this. Let me say this
- 47:43Speaker 1: a Tyler, I am so glad and grateful for what
- 47:45Speaker 1: you were doing for Jay. I am so excited for Jay.
- 47:49Speaker 1: But if Jay gets sick, do you have my number?
- 47:51Speaker 1: Because you're gonna do Jay like that, Timmy. That's the
- 48:02Speaker 1: movie is called A Fall from Grace. It is on
- 48:06Speaker 1: Netflix right now. He directed it, he is the executive
- 48:11Speaker 1: producer and he also stars in it. A Fall from
- 48:17Speaker 1: One Thing, Jack, I'm happening to you. I know who

- 50:46Speaker 1: a Strawberry letter. All right, everyone, here's the subject. One
- 50:53Speaker 1: of my side pieces is stressing me out. Stephen Shirley.
- 51:04Speaker 1: I am a successful executive and my job involves a
- 51:08Speaker 1: lot of travel. I've been married for twenty years, but
- 51:10Speaker 1: for the last five years, my wife has had some
- 51:13Speaker 1: medical issues and she's gained a lot of weight. At first,
- 51:17Speaker 1: she tried to keep her weight down, but then she
- 51:20Speaker 1: just let herself go and she's not happy with herself,
- 51:23Speaker 1: so she stopped having sex with me. I did a
- 51:26Speaker 1: very selfish thing and started seeing other women when I
- 51:30Speaker 1: am on work trips. At one time, I had four
- 51:33Speaker 1: different side pieces in four different states. They are all
- 51:37Speaker 1: great women, but they don't hold a candle to my wife,
- 51:41Speaker 1: so I knew I was wrong. Three of them used
- 51:44Speaker 1: me for money and dinners when I was in town,
- 51:46Speaker 1: and that was fine with me. But one of my
- 51:49Speaker 1: side pieces fell in love with me and wanted me
- 51:52Speaker 1: to leave my wife for her. I told her that
- 51:55Speaker 1: would never happen, and she lost it and screamed and
- 51:58Speaker 1: cried and stormed out of my hotel. The next day,
- 52:02Speaker 1: she showed up at my corporate office and told the
- 52:05Speaker 1: receptionist she needed to see me. It was an emergency.
- 52:09Speaker 1: She burst into the conference room and acted a complete fool.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Slow down, can you read this letter? Okay? All right, okay,
- 52:20Speaker 1: I'll slow it down. Your birthday. It's just a letter,
- 52:32Speaker 1: this letter. What the hell is going on in this boardroom? Yeah, okay, okay,
- 52:40Speaker 1: I'll slow down. Okay, all right, uh I did it.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I'll start here. I did a very selfish thing and
- 52:47Speaker 1: started seeing other women while I am on work trip.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Let's get down. I told her you would never have Okay,
- 52:57Speaker 1: I like this line. Three of them use me for
- 52:59Speaker 1: money and dinner when I was in town, and that
- 53:01Speaker 1: was fine with me, but one of my side but
- 53:06Speaker 1: one of my side pieces fell in love with me
- 53:09Speaker 1: and wanted me to leave my wife for her. It's okay,
- 53:15Speaker 1: all right, I told her that would never happen, and
- 53:18Speaker 1: she lost it and screamed and cried and stormed out
- 53:23Speaker 1: of my hotel. The next day, she showed up at
- 53:28Speaker 1: my corporate office and told the receptionist she needed to
- 53:33Speaker 1: see me. It was an emergency. Why she bursted into
- 53:46Speaker 1: the conference room and acted a complete fool and room
- 53:51Speaker 1: into the conference room and acted a complete fool Steve
- 53:55Speaker 1: in front of the heads of my company. Damn, let
- 54:02Speaker 1: that marinate for a minute, because all the fellows that Carlo,
- 54:10Speaker 1: they don't. They don't have a security that can keep
- 54:14Speaker 1: a crazy woman out. It just don't. They haven't been Steve. Breathe, guys, breathe. Okay,
- 54:23Speaker 1: my boss is in here. Yeah. Yeah. She burst into
- 54:27Speaker 1: the conference room and acted a complete fool in front
- 54:29Speaker 1: of the heads of my company. They knew she was
- 54:31Speaker 1: not my wife, so they ushered her out and told
- 54:36Speaker 1: me to get my personal affairs in order. Yeah. Huh
- 54:43Speaker 1: uh huh. I tried to call her, and when I did,
- 54:46Speaker 1: I found out she blocked my number and blocked me
- 54:50Speaker 1: from her social media accounts. She left a note at
- 54:54Speaker 1: my hotel saying that she might have to pop up
- 54:57Speaker 1: in my hometown to meet my wife and I have
- 55:00Speaker 1: a talk with her. That's where I was gonna stop
- 55:05Speaker 1: on my own. Uh, hell, is you outside for Steve?
- 55:16Speaker 1: Want to disappear? All right, I'll continue. I have prayed
- 55:22Speaker 1: and prayed about it, and I think the best thing
- 55:25Speaker 1: to do. No, you're not gonna like this line, Steve.
- 55:33Speaker 1: All right, Okay, I've prayed and prayed about it, and
- 55:37Speaker 1: I think the best thing to do is to tell
- 55:39Speaker 1: my wife everything. Hell, you are this letter already ignorant?
- 55:48Speaker 1: All right, let me finish. I've cut back on my
- 55:50Speaker 1: side pieces and I just have one. Now, any comments,
- 55:56Speaker 1: any comments from the fellas? All right? I tell your
- 56:00Speaker 1: wife they had a crazy, perfect escape the cyclar. I
- 56:02Speaker 1: have talked to my pastor to get back on track.
- 56:05Speaker 1: What do you think I should do? Should I tell
- 56:06Speaker 1: my wife? Or do you think my side piece was
- 56:09Speaker 1: just trying to scare me? Uh? Listen, I think this
- 56:14Speaker 1: crazy blank woman would burst into your office like this
- 56:18Speaker 1: and clown like you said she did. I think she's
- 56:20Speaker 1: capable of doing anything. All right, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 56:25Speaker 1: shorten my answer and say, I think you should tell
- 56:28Speaker 1: your wife everything. I know Steve's not going to agree
- 56:31Speaker 1: with that. I know the world now strung letter at
- 56:40Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. One of my side pieces
- 56:45Speaker 1: is stressing me out. We'll be back right after this.
- 56:48Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve. This is a crazy letter.
- 56:53Speaker 1: We need to recap this one subject. One of my
- 56:56Speaker 1: side pieces is stressing me out. Breathe, breathe, breathe need
- 57:03Speaker 1: to be said. Wife ain't a lot of weight. Try
- 57:12Speaker 1: to keep her weight down. She just let herself go.
- 57:14Speaker 1: She ain't happy with herself, but she decided to stop
- 57:19Speaker 1: having sex with me. Then the man did a very
- 57:21Speaker 1: noble thing, he said in the letter, I did a
- 57:24Speaker 1: very selfish thing. See this man know he wrongs. So
- 57:28Speaker 1: he said, I did a very selfish thing. Don't try
- 57:32Speaker 1: to make him. No, surely he he know he wrong.
- 57:39Speaker 1: This ain't no hero move. He had four different tide
- 57:43Speaker 1: pieces and four different st Will you be quiet. We
- 57:47Speaker 1: know what he got, and he got him because he
- 57:51Speaker 1: did a selfish move, he said, with selfish but she
- 57:55Speaker 1: stopped having sex with him. She stopped him and I
- 58:01Speaker 1: started to seeing other women on work trip one at
- 58:04Speaker 1: one time. I had four different side pieces in four
- 58:07Speaker 1: different states. That's fo in folk. Yeah, we know that's
- 58:11Speaker 1: a box where you turned at every side. That's the
- 58:19Speaker 1: life of completion. There you go, and they are all
- 58:26Speaker 1: great women, but they don't hold a coundle to my wife.
- 58:29Speaker 1: He's going back to make himself appear human and agonizing
- 58:35Speaker 1: over his decision. They are all great women, but they
- 58:38Speaker 1: don't hold a coundle to my wife. So I knew
- 58:40Speaker 1: I was wrong. Three of them used me for money
- 58:43Speaker 1: and dinners when I was in town, and that was
- 58:45Speaker 1: fine with me. We know what the deal is. Just
- 58:50Speaker 1: Bill Withers wrote a song you just keep on using
- 58:54Speaker 1: me and you come on, Bill, my friend. They feel
- 59:03Speaker 1: it all pointing duty. But anyway, one of my side
- 59:06Speaker 1: pieces fell in love with me and wanted me to
- 59:09Speaker 1: leave my wife for her. I told her that would
- 59:12Speaker 1: never happen. You should have said, let's think about this,
- 59:17Speaker 1: but now what dad had never happened. Now you can't
- 59:21Speaker 1: tell a crazy person facts. You have to say she
- 59:24Speaker 1: was crazy. Oh yes, he did, and she lost it,
- 59:29Speaker 1: screamed and cried, stormed out the hotel room. Next day,
- 59:33Speaker 1: here she goes, she didn't bought her ass down to
- 59:35Speaker 1: my damn job. Stone came into the corporate office, told
- 59:41Speaker 1: the reception she needed to see me it was an emergency.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I don't know who this help. I don't know who
- 59:47Speaker 1: this reception is. We didn't hide, she didn't let her answer,
- 59:52Speaker 1: talk about she and now now she'd have bought her
- 59:55Speaker 1: crazy ass in this conference room after the complete food
- 59:58Speaker 1: in front of the heads of our company. They knew
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: she was not my wife, so they had her rush
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: it out and told me to get my personal affairs
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: in order. Ye look at cause this food that came
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: down to your job. I beat damn because he's trying
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: to call it and do like your bosses, saying get
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: your personal fans in order try to call her found
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: out she'd have blocked your number, blocked you from all
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: her social media accounts. She left a note at your
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: hotel saying she might have to pop in on my
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: hometown to meet my wife and have a talk with her.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you that he who see
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: you're gonna you're gonna have to talk with who you
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: see see. Let me you didn't been in there and
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: talk to these damn bosses that didn't go good from you.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Findt go ahead and talking to my wife. Nah, this
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: is where centner man drag the lord in it. I
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: have prayed and prayed about it. You wasn't praying when
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: you were screwing him. But now that didn't turn left
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: you need the Lord? Now, well the Lord know you
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: didn't need him then. Oh so now since you made
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: these decisions, we have to live with these decisions. I
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: have prayed and prayed about it, and I think the
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: best see his is the keyword. I think the best
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: thing to do is tell my wife everything. Yes, when
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: did you start thank you? You ain't been thinking in
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: this whole left You wasn't thanking me. You wasn't thinking
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: when you let her in that damn conference room. You
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: wasn't thank You wouldn't thank you when you're stupid ass
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: told her that would never happen. You shouldn't have said that.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: You can't. You gotta let him down easier than that.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: If you're gonna be a not all a sudden, your
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: dumb ass, do start thinking and guess what your stupid
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: ass and thought of. I think I should go back
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: in and tell my wife everything. Yeah, you're so stupid.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: That's why shed on your job, because you stupid, and
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you're gonna try to fix it. I cut back on
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: my side pieces and I just got one knot. Yeah,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: ain't supposed to have no right then you did? This
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: guy even dumb. I've talked to my pastor to get
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: back on track. All right, listen, we gotta get out
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: of here. Steve'll tell you what you can do. Okay

- 1:03:51Speaker 1: we are gonna slanting she got a leopard She came

- 1:04:04Speaker 1: about her, Smith, because she's been crying in the car
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: on the way down. Make up all over her face,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: got the big shifted, got them side burns in the

- 1:08:25Speaker 1: of all time. I'm gonna just give you a little
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: history of Steve. You know, Steve started out as just
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: a little country boy. You know what I'm saying, get
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: condition and everything. You know, his brothers and everything, because brother,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: his brothers, and there's another story, but you know, and
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: then he came up in Cleveland and his mama was
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher. Man, I love and it's harmy, man.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: She taught her all I was about the Lord and stuff.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: I ain't listen, but she was in that teaching. And
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: he grew up in the church and he sang in
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: the quinty, went to college and everything, and he funked
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: out because you know, he ain't that smart and but
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: you know, but he had something, you know what I mean,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: just hang up in there. And he just kept living
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: his life, you know. And then he became in college
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: and this dude that don't nobody really know, he became
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: this dude named Wonder Love. And so wonder was born
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy four. This is history. And so Wonder
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Love produced nothing nothing. He wasn't nothing but vision pimp.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: But he had a dream and so he started DJ
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: and he became Stevie star champ and then being on
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: on stage and everything. And then the dude fell on
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: some hard times. He manages a girl that he went
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: to college with had kids right away and it was
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: too much for him. He couldn't halege, you know. So
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: you know, folks say he ran off, but he really
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: was chasing his dreams and everything and everything like that,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: and then you know it just one night October age
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: eighty five, when the comedy club boom he was born, man.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: And then he met Jay. You remember when you met him.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I remember when I met him. It was down it.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: What was the name of the place, Nicks Comedy Club.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: It was Knicks Comedy Club, Man Nicks. Yeah, they met
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: that night. Man, they've been tighter assist. And next thing
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: you know, Steve's talk working in fell on some hard
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: times and you know, fell off and he got homeless,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: and they thought he was gone. You know, everybody did
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: in Cleveland laughed at him. Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle, chuck on
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: my hand, who chuckling? Now? You was you? He got
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: radio show, TVs YO games. You don't have a good
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: box wallet only winning due ballet. He ain't well you
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. He wanted to go coldest pimps
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: in the game. Man. I just wanted to say having
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: birthday to Steve. Man. Know, I was supposed to be
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: doing playoff pits, but everybody I wanted to win loss,

- 1:17:24Speaker 1: we love Disney right away. Yeah we do. Going down
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: there and do it again my birthday boy. Yeah, Steve,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: you're always giving back. It's part of your legacy for sure. Yeah.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I hope that when it's all said and done, that
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: I would be most famous for that. I do appreciate
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: the comedy career that I've had. It has open doors
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: for me, doors that I never ever thought I would
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: have opened. It's no way I saw this. You know.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: It's sort of funny, man. As you have birthdays, you're
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: really talking to somebody that was born in nineteen fifty seven.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I was born in nineteen fifty seven. At no point
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: in my life did I think about twenty twenty. M
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: At no point, man, I mean seriously, at thirty, there
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: was no concept of getting to twenty twenty. At forty
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: twenty three years ago, to say twenty twenty, you were
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: saying something that was like what you're talking over two decades.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: How can I project that far? How can I want
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: that far? How can I see that far? How can
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: I anticipate that far? And I just looked, man, on
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: what God has done for me in spite of all
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: of the mistakes I've made. As I look back on
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: my journey, he has never ever, never, ever forsaken me.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: He's never left me to hang out to drive. Now.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I had some real droughts in my life, you know.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: I had some thin times man, where I thought I'm
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: going through this just a little bit too long. God, Okay,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I got it. Enough is enough? You know, the homeless thing.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: For three years, I really thought I had gotten a
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: message after three months, I really did, but I got
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: locked into it for three years. But as I look
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: back on it now, I understand what he was doing
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: because I've learned that there ain't no lesson like a
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Balk lesson. And I paid for that lesson, oh good,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: so that not only could it never happen again, but
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I could share information with people to avoid it from
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: happening to them. I didn't understand why I flunked out
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: of school, but I later understood as I lived my
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: life longer, that I didn't handle business down there in
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: the first place, that everything he had for me was
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: outside of that. But because I didn't confide or confer
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: with him, I made the decision on my own. He
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: gives us the power of choice, and so I had
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: to live with my decision. I look back on my life, man,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I think of all the mistakes I've made, and then
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I have to realize of all the goodness, all the mercy,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: all the grace and favor, all the times where in
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: spite of my mistakes, God showed me favor. He gave
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: me some grace, he led me off the hook, and
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: biggest of all, he just flat out forgave. He just said, man,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: you tripping, But okay, I'm gonna forgive you because what
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I've created you for so much bigger. But I do
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: need your attention those two. I need for you to
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: start paying attention to me, because you don't have a
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: conscious for no reason. See, my conscious didn't come from nowhere.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: It comes from God. He has been my conscious the
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: whole time. There's been a piece of my soul that
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: has always cried out for him, even when I was
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: way way out there. I ain't exactly completely on the
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: white line right now, myself I'm not. But I tell
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: you one thing, though I ain't where I was because
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: where I was was so far out there, so far away, man,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: that I just didn't see no way back at times.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: But God is so merciful and been so good to
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: me over the years. He's allowed me back, He's let
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: me find my way back. Now, you have to make
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: a decision to come back. But whenever you decide to
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: come back, whenever you decide to turn to him, he
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: has open arms. And that's the message that everybody needs
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: to get today. That you can get it wrong and
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: get it right, that you can blow it and turn
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: it around, that you can mess up and get all
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: the corrections you need, that you can commit all the
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: wrongs in the world and be forgiven. I'm so grateful
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: on this birthday that God has forgiven me more times
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: than it should have been allowed. Happy birthday, boy, appreciate
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: your player. Yeah remarks, Happy birthday up. Thank you, Steve,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Thank you. Go out here and go to work, man, Ye,
