- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You all listening to the voice, come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey Man got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show. How good is God? Hum? Think about it?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Just take a slight inventory of your own life and
- 2:15Speaker 1: say it to yourself when you get through, how good
- 2:18Speaker 1: is God? Think of all the small things, all this,
- 2:21Speaker 1: because that's him. You breathe in, that's him. You steal him.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That's him. You got another chance. That's him. You ain't
- 2:30Speaker 1: out of him. That's him. You got any measure of health,
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's him. You think it's more to it than it
- 2:36Speaker 1: really is. That it already showed up to be. That's him.
- 2:40Speaker 1: All of that. You got any dreams or aspirations, you
- 2:43Speaker 1: dream of other things, that's him. All that, that's him,
- 2:47Speaker 1: that's him, Him clothes you got, that's him. Every time
- 2:51Speaker 1: you eat. That's why they had this thing called you
- 2:53Speaker 1: say your grace. That's him. That's him, man, that's him.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It's amazing when you take a small inventory how you
- 3:00Speaker 1: find out how big God really is in your life. Now,
- 3:02Speaker 1: the more you turn yourself over to him, the bigger
- 3:05Speaker 1: he can be. For you. See, he'll only be as
- 3:07Speaker 1: big as you let him. It's one thing about God. Now,
- 3:10Speaker 1: he's a gentleman. He can make you do anything. You know.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You get too big for him, you know you you you,
- 3:18Speaker 1: you lose your humbleness. He can humble you. Now. God
- 3:23Speaker 1: created man with the power of choice. We're the only
- 3:29Speaker 1: creature he created that. He gave us the total power
- 3:32Speaker 1: of choice when we mate, who we mate with. You
- 3:35Speaker 1: know everything, all of it. Man. It's the choice what
- 3:40Speaker 1: we want to be, how much you want to make,
- 3:41Speaker 1: Where we want to live, what climate we want to
- 3:43Speaker 1: live in. We can live in cold climates, hot climates.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You know, we speak different languages. You can go learn
- 3:49Speaker 1: another language. A bear can't do nothing but be a bear.
- 3:56Speaker 1: He can't go learn how to be a fox. He
- 3:59Speaker 1: can't go learn how to be an otter. He just
- 4:02Speaker 1: can't an ostrich is an ostrich man. He can't come
- 4:05Speaker 1: out of here and fight like a lion. A lion
- 4:08Speaker 1: is a lion. A lion eat meat. He can't eat vegetables.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I don't care how much meat ain't around. He'll lay
- 4:15Speaker 1: down and pull up out of here and die because
- 4:17Speaker 1: he can't eat grass. He just a lion man. You
- 4:21Speaker 1: understand this that God gave us. We are the one
- 4:24Speaker 1: creature he created that has total power of choice. You
- 4:28Speaker 1: can make every decision in your life. What kind of
- 4:30Speaker 1: watch you like? That's the one you can buy. You
- 4:34Speaker 1: want to live in Switzerland, go ahead. You don't like Switzerland,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you can move to Miami. You want to live your
- 4:42Speaker 1: life a crime, go ahead. That's you. He gave you
- 4:46Speaker 1: the power of choice. You want to do right? Come on,
- 4:50Speaker 1: So now look at this thing. We are all the
- 4:55Speaker 1: results of a series of decisions that we have made.
- 5:02Speaker 1: If we could just identify that the problem is us,
- 5:07Speaker 1: we could began the solution. See that's the problem, y'all,
- 5:12Speaker 1: it's us. It's what we do. I threw my life
- 5:16Speaker 1: down the hill. I can't tell you how many years
- 5:19Speaker 1: based on some decisions that I was making. Now I
- 5:22Speaker 1: can justify my decision with I wasn't happy and I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was doing this and I was in miserying y'all on
- 5:28Speaker 1: that ye yes to you when you get through. You
- 5:30Speaker 1: made the decisions though, and you can look at this
- 5:33Speaker 1: anywhere you want to, y'all. But at the end of
- 5:34Speaker 1: the day, I'm just talking to people that's really really
- 5:37Speaker 1: wanting to improve their position in life. And how do
- 5:41Speaker 1: you do that? You got to have a solution. How
- 5:45Speaker 1: do you come up with a solution? You got to
- 5:47Speaker 1: identify the problem to even began to solve it. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: if the problem ain't ever you, how are you gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: solve something that ain't you? See? Okay, let me look
- 6:04Speaker 1: at this one. If somebody said, like I got a
- 6:08Speaker 1: child of mine, man, I just do right here. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't even wanna get into it this morning, or
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'm struggling with this this boy. But man, you go
- 6:17Speaker 1: to people, you're asking why they do so? I just
- 6:20Speaker 1: I just wasn't taking care of business. Why I just
- 6:24Speaker 1: didn't take care of business? Boy, do you understand that
- 6:28Speaker 1: your life is gonna be filled with you got to
- 6:30Speaker 1: take care of business. So when you're gonna start, you
- 6:34Speaker 1: know what I mean? You can't. You can't. You can't
- 6:37Speaker 1: go through life blaming everybody. It's got to be you. See,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you can fix you. You can't fix nobody else if
- 6:43Speaker 1: you keep getting married and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 6:48Speaker 1: could it be you? South? Finally had to sit down
- 6:53Speaker 1: and just make that decision. They don't need to be
- 6:55Speaker 1: coming on the radio talking about nobody else and what
- 6:58Speaker 1: they did to me, and y'all just don't know. No, no, no, man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: what about the part you played in it? Because see,
- 7:03Speaker 1: if you got a good marriage, you got a part
- 7:05Speaker 1: to play in that. If you got a bad one,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you got a part to play in that. Even if
- 7:11Speaker 1: you just get down to you the one pick them?
- 7:13Speaker 1: How about that? Mister? Mister, I made a decision. The
- 7:18Speaker 1: problem is usually within yourself. Do you know That's the quickest,
- 7:22Speaker 1: an easy way to fix your life. That way, you
- 7:25Speaker 1: ain't got to check with nobody. Here's the beauty of
- 7:27Speaker 1: going on and admitting that is you. You don't have
- 7:31Speaker 1: to check or clear with nobody to start the repair process.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You don't need anybody's permission. You ain't got to put
- 7:39Speaker 1: it before the review board to see if it'll pass.
- 7:42Speaker 1: It ain't got to go through Congress. You ain't got
- 7:44Speaker 1: to hope that your local politician get their hands on
- 7:47Speaker 1: it to make a phone call for you. You ain't
- 7:49Speaker 1: got to ask any counselors to come in and sit
- 7:51Speaker 1: with you. You don't have to check it in the rehab.
- 7:53Speaker 1: All you got to do is decide the problem is me.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna start changing me. Identify the problem, and start
- 8:05Speaker 1: with the part that you can own up to. Once
- 8:11Speaker 1: you identify the problem, you can start planning on how
- 8:15Speaker 1: to fix it or how to get to accomplishing something.
- 8:18Speaker 1: But remember this planning is important. If you fail to plan,
- 8:24Speaker 1: then please plan to fail. If you don't know how
- 8:28Speaker 1: to make a plan, let's just start with the basics.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Just make a list of what you want. Make this
- 8:36Speaker 1: list and then go to God in prayer with an
- 8:39Speaker 1: open mind and open your mind up to all the
- 8:45Speaker 1: clean opportunities that are available here. Why a lot of
- 8:49Speaker 1: people won't succeed because certain opportunities come along you don't
- 8:52Speaker 1: want to do them. That kills me. Man, when I
- 8:55Speaker 1: hear here, I ain't doing that. I know young comedians
- 8:58Speaker 1: that come to me all the time talking about Man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: what you're not saying. Man, Just take every gig you
- 9:02Speaker 1: can no matter what they pay. Well, listen to me, son,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you can go make that money that they pay, or
- 9:11Speaker 1: you can make the decision to sit at home and
- 9:13Speaker 1: make nobody. It's a comedy, a hard business. They ain't
- 9:18Speaker 1: paying but one hundred dollars. You gotta drive, drive fifty miles.
- 9:21Speaker 1: But if you drive fifty miles and you make the
- 9:23Speaker 1: hundred and you stand on that stage for thirty minutes,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you are now thirty minutes better than you was the
- 9:29Speaker 1: last time you went on stage. Oh, man, you ain't man,
- 9:34Speaker 1: they don't pay me, I ain't coming. You ain't gonna
- 9:36Speaker 1: be a comedian, man, not not, not like this hill.
- 9:40Speaker 1: A lot of people just don't want to do what's
- 9:42Speaker 1: necessary to do. So when the opportunity presents itself and
- 9:46Speaker 1: you open up your mind to it, man, then get
- 9:48Speaker 1: ready to go on and do it. Man, identify your
- 9:52Speaker 1: problem today, start with the part dash you to show ladies.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Uh I Normally I would say ladies and gentlemen, boys
- 10:07Speaker 1: and girls, but not today. Ladies. Welcome to the Steve

- 10:30Speaker 1: I think I am today. Today is gonna be the
- 10:32Speaker 1: day that I dedicate almost everything I say to embarrassing Sherley.
- 10:37Speaker 1: We're gonna do ask the CEO today, okay, and will
- 10:42Speaker 1: also ask motivational questions from the crew. That's the only
- 10:46Speaker 1: time I try to be sillious, okay. But other than that, though,
- 10:50Speaker 1: let it rain. I'm gonna be embarrassing today as much
- 10:56Speaker 1: as Tommy is stupid. I ain't, Man, that's a high.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I'm talking about the degree I'm quit today. Man, it
- 11:06Speaker 1: might be a yeah. I don't know. We can take
- 11:10Speaker 1: all that in the emergency room. They call it cold ray.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Let's go there, Let's go. I will be answering any
- 11:19Speaker 1: questions today, any questions at all. Okay, we are going
- 11:25Speaker 1: to You can ask me a serious question. You can
- 11:27Speaker 1: ask me an opinional, opinionated question. All things are open
- 11:32Speaker 1: and fair game today. All right, stupid, too cool, let's
- 11:36Speaker 1: go Tommy. All your questions is most us okay, okay,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and I and I embraced that. That's the problem. All right,
- 11:46Speaker 1: y'all want to start it y'all scared. What's happening? We
- 11:48Speaker 1: jump off off the time? Yeah, I didn't do it
- 11:52Speaker 1: right here, so well you know you you know it
- 11:55Speaker 1: ain't no time like right now time? Okay, huhen I
- 12:00Speaker 1: start off the it's Timmy for show ugly. Then they
- 12:03Speaker 1: just start damn show that. It really ain't even I
- 12:10Speaker 1: don't know why he fights because he ugly for real?
- 12:15Speaker 1: About this all weak though? No, but it's that's not
- 12:18Speaker 1: gonna be ugly all week. Tommy, you're not ugly, thank
- 12:21Speaker 1: you're not sly talking? She always trying to take up
- 12:25Speaker 1: self righteous right Jelly? Don't thank you Sean either. That's
- 12:30Speaker 1: a little false. Well, now, Steve, wait a minute, I
- 12:33Speaker 1: can speak for myself here. Well, he ain't got to
- 12:36Speaker 1: be really funny looking? Is still the same spot? Okay,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'll go We'll go with funny looking strange. Okay, Tommy,
- 12:44Speaker 1: let's take ugly off the table. Matter. He's married. He's
- 12:48Speaker 1: having strange looking but they ain't got nothing to do
- 12:50Speaker 1: a lot of strange looking people married. Well, he had
- 12:54Speaker 1: to find someone to marry him, his wife. It's what
- 12:58Speaker 1: he needs to be grateful for right there. That's why
- 13:03Speaker 1: he needs to be I need to be praising him
- 13:05Speaker 1: for that guy, especially that girl you wouldn't got. I
- 13:09Speaker 1: don't know what she was thinking. Surely she could have
- 13:12Speaker 1: done better, man. Yeah, that's hill. Yeah, Steve, I told
- 13:20Speaker 1: you about crushing people. What I tell y'all was gonna
- 13:23Speaker 1: be today show. Come on, I'll tell y'all was going
- 13:25Speaker 1: to embarrass you today. Yeah, and you let's get started
- 13:28Speaker 1: out the gate. Yeah, and we'll be back with Moti.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Is he ugly than me? Steve tell me that when
- 13:34Speaker 1: we come back, I'll tell you that. I take come
- 13:37Speaker 1: over here and ask me. You're listening show, It's time
- 13:46Speaker 1: for something funny, guys. I want to ask the crew,
- 13:50Speaker 1: how well do you have to know someone before? Yeah? Sexual? Okay,
- 13:57Speaker 1: all right, you want to go there, let's go there?
- 14:00Speaker 1: Steve says, what and it's book? Steve said, I mean, look,
- 14:07Speaker 1: if you're trying to have a relationship, you ain't got nobody,
- 14:11Speaker 1: no time to have sex. Yeah, you know, you just
- 14:14Speaker 1: trying to do something that evening, Yeah, that that evening
- 14:19Speaker 1: you can do something I've never I've never cared for that.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I don't. I ain't like I ain't had a one
- 14:25Speaker 1: nice stand but it never never was, never ever yeah, well,
- 14:31Speaker 1: you always like to have a little more meaning behind
- 14:33Speaker 1: your action, Steve. Look, look, let's lie to each other
- 14:38Speaker 1: a mission. I love you, I love you, I was
- 14:41Speaker 1: thinking about you. Let's turn. I like that part of it,
- 14:46Speaker 1: get some fun. But you know, I'd rather afford to
- 14:49Speaker 1: have some relativity to it. I don't want just this
- 14:53Speaker 1: hill because I hadn't had that day, you know you
- 14:56Speaker 1: like I've been young, like everybody else, I'd have had
- 14:58Speaker 1: one nice stand. They're ever ever rewarding? Ain't your night standing?
- 15:05Speaker 1: When they ain't ever been good rewarded? What are you saying?
- 15:10Speaker 1: They are some of the greatest moments of all time.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Your relationship in trouble. Well, no, my relationship is fine.
- 15:19Speaker 1: But when I had one night stand. But way back
- 15:22Speaker 1: in the day, those were great days. Wow, wonderful. I
- 15:26Speaker 1: love so great. I ain't got to call her, she
- 15:28Speaker 1: ain't got to call me. It ain't been to cost
- 15:30Speaker 1: me arm And they lived relationships colls. You know that
- 15:34Speaker 1: love coughs. So you meet someone, meet them dinner. Maybe
- 15:39Speaker 1: we can get a quick bite. But now let's get
- 15:43Speaker 1: on too. We're not finn wise. We had dinner talking,
- 15:45Speaker 1: We're not gonna be talking. How fast is the bike,
- 15:49Speaker 1: the bit is real? How much? How long atoke? Get

- 16:14Speaker 1: all right, look at everybody good? Can we move on?
- 16:17Speaker 1: Sex behavior? Yeah? I just think it's for me. It
- 16:23Speaker 1: was just it was a waste of time for me.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I only had one one woman that after it was
- 16:28Speaker 1: over with, I look for her, man huh and she
- 16:35Speaker 1: was gone, huh, yeah, I want to do I didn't

- 17:10Speaker 1: So more questions, more questions, or do you guys want
- 17:15Speaker 1: to stick with that? Okay? How well do you have
- 17:18Speaker 1: to know someone before you loan them money. M M. Steve,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you go last on this one. Okay, I'm done with

- 18:04Speaker 1: had we we had to have a friendship at least
- 18:08Speaker 1: at the very least. Yeah, we had to be considered friends.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Are really close, super cool? You know, maybe not, but
- 18:14Speaker 1: we're real cool. Before you ask me for something, Okay,

- 18:38Speaker 1: you have to know someone before you let them stay
- 18:43Speaker 1: at your house? Let them stay with you? That's a
- 18:45Speaker 1: good one. Yeah, yeah, you can't stay at my house.

- 19:06Speaker 1: they say, don't or let me play something teeth until
- 19:10Speaker 1: you get on your feet. How what were you using
- 19:13Speaker 1: when you walked over feet? Own them, get on them
- 19:19Speaker 1: and go somewhere else. Now, I wouldn't let one of
- 19:22Speaker 1: my children come live with us. Yeah, you know they
- 19:26Speaker 1: transitioning because one of them talking about doing that, coming
- 19:29Speaker 1: to LA and living, and so we'll let them stay
- 19:31Speaker 1: with us until they get their place. Oh cool, my kids.
- 19:35Speaker 1: But that's what I'm doing. I'm trying to into place
- 19:37Speaker 1: this week. I didn't know I could have came over

- 19:49Speaker 1: You know you can't come stay in my house. I
- 19:52Speaker 1: don't give a damn prus roll you got. You gave
- 19:55Speaker 1: too many parties when your uncle was out of town.
- 19:58Speaker 1: But I cleaned up now, No, no, I cleaned up.
- 20:02Speaker 1: No good parties though. No, No, that time you threw

- 20:10Speaker 1: He used your bed, yeah, but then made the bed.
- 20:14Speaker 1: But that's what the Cleansley person would do, is make up. Right, Hey, dog,
- 20:19Speaker 1: change the sheets we slept. That's it, dog, You don't
- 20:23Speaker 1: change your sheets after you sleep one night. Who did
- 20:26Speaker 1: you have in now? Was that slab? Or her name
- 20:31Speaker 1: was Kiwi? Remember that Kiwi? Let me tell you so

- 21:20Speaker 1: do it. Let's go cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 21:24Speaker 1: reach a Monica system. Monica Please, this is brother de
- 21:30Speaker 1: Sean I'm calling Actually, I'm a member Greater Commissionary Baptist Church.
- 21:34Speaker 1: How can I help you? Calling you actually about the offering? Now?
- 21:37Speaker 1: Did you I know you paid your ties every Sunday? Okay,
- 21:42Speaker 1: Now you paid a love offering as well? Right, yes,
- 21:44Speaker 1: I do. Okay, Now this past Sunday, I'm looking at
- 21:48Speaker 1: a check that you left us with the bank, right, right,
- 21:53Speaker 1: check sunday? Okay. Now the check, ma'am was two hundred
- 21:57Speaker 1: and fifty dollars, Am I correct? Right? Right? I wrote
- 22:00Speaker 1: two checks for my ties and the love offering? Right,
- 22:03Speaker 1: I wrote one for two fifty for the love offering? Okay?
- 22:06Speaker 1: Now what is this call regarding? Why are you calling me? Well,
- 22:10Speaker 1: what I wanted to tell you is that I hate
- 22:12Speaker 1: to be a bar of bad news, but you your
- 22:15Speaker 1: check that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And wait a minute, you said my check bounce for
- 22:22Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty dollars. Your check bounce. So what
- 22:25Speaker 1: I'm doing is calling you about recouping the two fifth
- 22:28Speaker 1: as well as you know you you cost us thirty
- 22:31Speaker 1: dollars in bank fees. But wait a minute, now, I
- 22:35Speaker 1: wrote two checks. I wrote a check for one hundred dollars.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Did that one bounce? I don't see to it that
- 22:40Speaker 1: that that one bounced. All I know is the one
- 22:42Speaker 1: that the love offering has bounced. What did you put
- 22:45Speaker 1: them in at the same time? Because I wrote him
- 22:46Speaker 1: at the same time. They all go in on Monday, ma'am.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Now I didn't put them in at the same time.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I've been putting them in for the last two three years.
- 22:53Speaker 1: The problem is why would people write there, what is
- 22:56Speaker 1: your name? M brother Deshaun? And you was at this Sunday?
- 22:59Speaker 1: I was. I don't think it matters when when I
- 23:02Speaker 1: was there, man. The problem is it that I didn't
- 23:03Speaker 1: put these checks in. And I don't understand why y'all
- 23:06Speaker 1: write these checks to the track knowing that they're gonna bound,
- 23:10Speaker 1: because a lot of people write that good well not
- 23:12Speaker 1: right bad checks? Why one clear? Why the other one
- 23:15Speaker 1: didn't clear? Maybe you didn't have enough money for both
- 23:17Speaker 1: of them to clear? What what did you just say?
- 23:21Speaker 1: Maybe you didn't have enough money in the bank for
- 23:23Speaker 1: both of them to clear. And I don't understand why
- 23:24Speaker 1: people might planning money in the bank at all. My
- 23:27Speaker 1: checks clear. I don't write no rubber checks. Well, you
- 23:30Speaker 1: wrote one on Sunday, and that's the problem. How are
- 23:33Speaker 1: you gonna try to give a lotus? Wait a minute,
- 23:35Speaker 1: I think you got me confused with somebody else. I
- 23:37Speaker 1: don't write no bad checks. You didn't wrote this to
- 23:40Speaker 1: be nice to you. I'm trying to be nice to you. Win.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Can we expect the two fifty plus the thirty dollars?
- 23:45Speaker 1: So thirty dollars. That's the bank feeds man for the
- 23:48Speaker 1: doll gonna check bouncing. My check didn't bounce. I don't
- 23:51Speaker 1: check my bank. And if my check clear, you're gonna
- 23:54Speaker 1: pay me thirty dollars for calling me harassing me about
- 23:57Speaker 1: a two hundred and fifty dollars check bounce. I don't
- 24:00Speaker 1: why would you write check? What you want to? Sit
- 24:02Speaker 1: up in the church and write these big number checks
- 24:04Speaker 1: when you know you ain't got it in the bank.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You see, I said, why would you write these checks
- 24:10Speaker 1: when the money ain't in? Now? Let me tell you
- 24:13Speaker 1: it's one thing. I don't write no bad checks. And
- 24:16Speaker 1: you got a lot nerds calling me telling me my
- 24:19Speaker 1: check bounce. Yo check is the one that has bounced.
- 24:21Speaker 1: And you tell you what you do? Since my check bounce,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you paid them, since you got all the money, and

- 24:57Speaker 1: Thank you? You got the money? I ain't got Who
- 25:00Speaker 1: in the hell is that in the background? Who is
- 25:02Speaker 1: that a mind? Who it is? We're both going to
- 25:04Speaker 1: the same check and you're gonna call me to my
- 25:06Speaker 1: I wrote a bad check. You don't you call me
- 25:09Speaker 1: no more? And if the check bads, you paid? Okay?

- 26:41Speaker 1: one more thing I need to say to you. Ain't
- 26:43Speaker 1: got nothing to say to me. You don't upset me
- 26:45Speaker 1: with this I'm talking about. I bounced a check. You

- 26:55Speaker 1: What What do you about to say to me? What
- 26:57Speaker 1: do you have to say now that you're gonna pay

- 27:32Speaker 1: ask you? What more thake though? Baby? What is the
- 27:35Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land, The Steve Harvey Morning
- 27:45Speaker 1: Everybody's done it Na. Everybody's written a hot check to
- 27:48Speaker 1: the end. It didn't it didn't go through. You know
- 28:02Speaker 1: you didn't done that. We need to get y'all black
- 28:05Speaker 1: card because y'all church in church. Yeah, Lord, now I

- 28:17Speaker 1: done that. Yeah, Lord knows. You didn't have not deliberately.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You know, it just happens. But you know what something
- 28:27Speaker 1: what do you amazed me back in the day is
- 28:29Speaker 1: the church for some reason, I don't know how they
- 28:32Speaker 1: get They get them check clear Monday morning that fast.
- 28:36Speaker 1: It just it goes through any other check tape to Winnsday. Thirsty,
- 28:41Speaker 1: they prey on it. They go right to the bank, right, Yes,
- 28:49Speaker 1: that's one beaker's job. Your job is Monday morning, get
- 28:52Speaker 1: these checks done there to that bank. That's your job.
- 28:56Speaker 1: That's right, that's right. The big when they're collecting offering
- 29:01Speaker 1: to me, Jay and Junior, we think about opening up
- 29:04Speaker 1: a zoom missionary Baptist. Yeah, I mean all right, We'll
- 29:09Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 29:12Speaker 1: right after you're listening string show. Now, it's normal for people,
- 29:21Speaker 1: you know, to get nostalgic about things from their past.
- 29:23Speaker 1: A lot of us do that, Like the Slinky, remember
- 29:26Speaker 1: that toy, the Walkman, Remember the Walkman arcade games and
- 29:31Speaker 1: even suits and hats for men? Remember pac Man and
- 29:35Speaker 1: all that? Sorry and yeah, I still played pac Many.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I can't play the new games. They too complicated. I
- 29:43Speaker 1: can't play none of the sports game like NBA Live
- 29:46Speaker 1: or Madden Football. I don't know what the wid the
- 29:52Speaker 1: A B they gump, the ad they roll. I can't
- 29:55Speaker 1: do that. Or you know what about being nostalgic about
- 29:59Speaker 1: how you raise your kids. You know, we're disciplined and
- 30:02Speaker 1: all that, things like common courtesy, like manners, things like that.
- 30:10Speaker 1: To come back, Yeah, you're gonna get a whooping? Yeah yeah,
- 30:14Speaker 1: did you? Oh I'm telling you're gonna get a whooping?
- 30:17Speaker 1: Did you whip your kids growing up? What I'm asking still? Yeah?
- 30:24Speaker 1: Well you think they ain't in jail? You're saving him. Temmy,
- 30:31Speaker 1: I tried to beat him worse than my mama beating me.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Oh that's pretty bad. Ain't None of my kids got
- 30:38Speaker 1: it like I got it. I ain't now, But our
- 30:41Speaker 1: parents before us really got it too. But we got it.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I think we were the last of the kids that
- 30:46Speaker 1: got serious beat downs. My kids, my kids and generation
- 30:50Speaker 1: well some I really I really pledged my son. You Yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 1: I pledged. I pledged. So what fright is here? They
- 31:02Speaker 1: ain't cused, but they could, they could go ahead and
- 31:08Speaker 1: get it there, they could, they could technically they should
- 31:13Speaker 1: actually be in. But I Jewish manners were more prominent
- 31:18Speaker 1: like they used to be. I mean, you know what
- 31:20Speaker 1: I'm really proud of though. I think all of my
- 31:22Speaker 1: kids are very very mantal manners are important. Everybody. Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 1: she's so sweet. Brand daddy, you know you have great kids.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Brand being on your answer, you know it. She got
- 31:44Speaker 1: a lot of clapback going on. You ain't heard nobody
- 31:47Speaker 1: come up with you. I can't talking your daughter talking
- 31:53Speaker 1: Visa talking so crazy? An I ain't seen it either.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Oh good, you've just heard. I just have people coming over.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Can I talk to you for I just can't do
- 32:15Speaker 1: it no matter. I'm serious about her business? Though? What
- 32:21Speaker 1: else do you guys wish would come back? Like products?
- 32:24Speaker 1: Because they said iPad But I mean, you know, I
- 32:27Speaker 1: wish Carol free marsterizer would come back? What act curl
- 32:33Speaker 1: free yellow? About the red right? Yeah? Come at chess King,
- 32:38Speaker 1: yep yo, chis chess King marry go around. Yes, yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I want them to come back, but I don't want
- 32:45Speaker 1: to have to have the money I had back. Don't
- 32:50Speaker 1: I want to come back poverty? Yeah, I have no
- 32:55Speaker 1: design for that to come back. What was the famous
- 32:58Speaker 1: what was the famous advice your dad about being poor?
- 33:01Speaker 1: The best thing you could do for po people's fun
- 33:04Speaker 1: is not Warner. I took that advice brand real close,
- 33:10Speaker 1: especially coming out of home. Yeah, so Steve, it's time
- 33:14Speaker 1: for today's headlines, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann Tripp, thank
- 33:19Speaker 1: you very much. Everybody. Good morning. This is a trip
- 33:21Speaker 1: with the news well, you know, as the US Congress
- 33:23Speaker 1: continues to probe into the January sixth Capitol Hill riot,
- 33:27Speaker 1: the Capitol was a scene of another violent threat yesterday.
- 33:30Speaker 1: In the end, police took command into custody who had
- 33:32Speaker 1: driven up to the Capitol building and said he had
- 33:34Speaker 1: a bomb. As far as say, forty nine year old
- 33:36Speaker 1: Floyd Ray Roseberry drove his pickup truck onto the sidewalk
- 33:39Speaker 1: in front of the Library of Congress yesterday morning, told
- 33:42Speaker 1: police he had a bomb and he was holding what
- 33:44Speaker 1: he said was a detonator. Capitol Police Chief of Jay
- 33:47Speaker 1: Thomas Major says, though he surrendered after they talked him down.
- 33:50Speaker 1: The Tactical Unit step works close by took him into
- 33:53Speaker 1: custody without incident. So you know, no farling, Noah, choke
- 33:57Speaker 1: holding or anything this guy. Earlier in a live Facebook video,
- 34:00Speaker 1: a man who appeared to be Rosebery warned viewers about
- 34:03Speaker 1: having a bomb and told Democrats in the Congress and
- 34:06Speaker 1: the White House to resign. Authorities say his truck did
- 34:09Speaker 1: contain bomb making materials, but no bomb. North Carolina is
- 34:13Speaker 1: still dealing with the after effects of Tropical Storm Fred.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Rescue teams in the western part of the Tar Hills
- 34:18Speaker 1: state say that two people are dead and some twenty
- 34:21Speaker 1: others are missing as a result of the deadly flooding.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Their crews have been searching for survivors inside the mobile
- 34:26Speaker 1: homes and vehicles that were swept away by the floodwaters.
- 34:29Speaker 1: The town of Canton was particularly hard hit. The mayors,
- 34:32Speaker 1: Zed Smathers says, it's a sad time. Our hearts are
- 34:35Speaker 1: sincerely heavy with the ones that are missing and the
- 34:38Speaker 1: ones that have confirmed dead. Even though may not be
- 34:41Speaker 1: in the Canton jurisdiction, they are part of the Canton
- 34:43Speaker 1: and Haywood County Family Homes even bridges were destroyed a
- 34:47Speaker 1: course businesses as well. Many residents are without power, and
- 34:50Speaker 1: more wet weather is expected over the weekend. So in
- 34:53Speaker 1: North Carolina is really getting it. Federal Aviation Commission Administration
- 34:58Speaker 1: rather says it is an evergrowing list of incidents involving
- 35:01Speaker 1: unruly passengers aboard planes, usually over the refusing of wearing masks.
- 35:06Speaker 1: In one case, the steward felt the need to duct
- 35:09Speaker 1: tape one casting pass near to his seat. The airline
- 35:11Speaker 1: has since told its employees that duct taping someone is
- 35:14Speaker 1: not to be done again. That's not what you should do.
- 35:16Speaker 1: The FAA is instead pushing for higher fines. So far
- 35:20Speaker 1: this year, though, the amount of fines levied on these
- 35:22Speaker 1: unruly people have total more than a million dollars. Here's
- 35:25Speaker 1: some depressing news as the death toll climbs in Haiti
- 35:28Speaker 1: to over two thousand. According to an article by some
- 35:31Speaker 1: seismologists and Business Insider magazine, it is only a matter
- 35:35Speaker 1: of time before Haiti experience has yet another major quake.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Because the country happens to sit on top of two
- 35:41Speaker 1: subterranean parts of the Earth's crusts. Over this magna that's
- 35:44Speaker 1: kind of liquid, kind of stuff. Plates that keep slipping
- 35:47Speaker 1: past each other, which cause earthquakes. And finally, today would
- 35:50Speaker 1: have been the birthday of the late great Isaac hay Is,
- 35:52Speaker 1: a great talent, a great man, and a great friend
- 35:53Speaker 1: who asked the questions. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 36:02Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening show. Now it's time lower the
- 36:09Speaker 1: lights please, ladies and gentleman's junior's poetry. Let me just
- 36:14Speaker 1: say this right quick, this poem right here. Yeah, forget that.
- 36:20Speaker 1: The point of the poem is it's getting close to
- 36:23Speaker 1: going back to scoop right yeah, And everybody that's uncles
- 36:27Speaker 1: don't get appreciated because we helped. Now, I got a
- 36:32Speaker 1: seventeen year old nephew asked by to be in the
- 36:35Speaker 1: same grade with the fourteen years He didn't call me.
- 36:40Speaker 1: You don't say that on the air. It's true. Hold on,
- 36:43Speaker 1: hold on first of all, hold on what you want?
- 36:48Speaker 1: What you want me to act like? It ain't hell? What? Okay? Then?
- 36:51Speaker 1: My people they know you want to act like he
- 36:54Speaker 1: not right? Should I be shamed of the fact that
- 36:57Speaker 1: what he won't do, not tell you didn't damn? Niver
- 37:01Speaker 1: caught the seventeen ye old, But I didn't think it
- 37:04Speaker 1: was gonna happen, but they won great appaut like that now,
- 37:09Speaker 1: I mean, would he go in the classroom. They think
- 37:11Speaker 1: the teacher didn't walk through all I'm saying. But I'm
- 37:18Speaker 1: just saying, he asked me for some stuff, and I
- 37:21Speaker 1: just wanted to let him know this. Now. The name
- 37:24Speaker 1: of the poem is I'm just hung here. I'll go,
- 37:30Speaker 1: hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey
- 37:32Speaker 1: hey hey hey, I'm just hung Stop asking me for cash, Okay,
- 37:37Speaker 1: because when I helped you out, you don't do number.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Walk in the other room and just talk trade, Go
- 37:42Speaker 1: bag your mom and your daddy because they the one
- 37:45Speaker 1: that had. Because I'm just uncle, I can do all
- 37:48Speaker 1: I can do. Now that I know you're going back
- 37:50Speaker 1: to school and you like new stuff, but I'm living
- 37:53Speaker 1: out here in La Riden Highs. Hell man, it's even rough. Now.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I'm not trying to beat me because I really do
- 38:00Speaker 1: love you with all my heart, but I'm gonna get
- 38:03Speaker 1: a jump on this. I'm gonna say no before you
- 38:06Speaker 1: even start. I'm just huh. That's all I can do.
- 38:11Speaker 1: That was called the style conversation. Definitely, that's what you're doing.
- 38:17Speaker 1: You're sitting there looking for rhymes. There's no rhymes and
- 38:20Speaker 1: it ain't got to be. It was called what you do?
- 38:25Speaker 1: You have different styles? This was called the style of conversation.
- 38:29Speaker 1: I don't get what I was talking to him. I
- 38:33Speaker 1: don't this style of confusing. It was Donald Trump? Do
- 38:41Speaker 1: you have? Do you have? Do you have any kids?
- 38:43Speaker 1: Asking you for? Yeah? Just the fother. This was the
- 38:51Speaker 1: style of time. It's called style of car. I created it.
- 38:55Speaker 1: We know that you listen to most this one is
- 39:00Speaker 1: just most deaf Nit. Why would I go listen to
- 39:02Speaker 1: most most deafening? The style of conversation a style you
- 39:13Speaker 1: made up. All right, we gotta go, We'll be back.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. Time Now for ask
- 39:21Speaker 1: the CLO, our chief Love Officer. Submit your questions to
- 39:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM dot com and the CLO will be
- 39:28Speaker 1: happy to answer them. This one, Steve is from Sean
- 39:32Speaker 1: in Florida. Before I get furloughed from work, a handsome
- 39:36Speaker 1: before I got furloughed from work, a handsome new guy
- 39:38Speaker 1: started working at my job. We've been getting to know
- 39:41Speaker 1: each other on the phone, and we just found out
- 39:44Speaker 1: that he is my ex boyfriend's cousin. My ex boyfriend
- 39:48Speaker 1: is on a teaching assignment in Dubai, so he's been
- 39:51Speaker 1: out of the country for three years. I figured this
- 39:53Speaker 1: will be a problem, but the guy told me we
- 39:55Speaker 1: can see how things go and keep it casual for now.
- 39:59Speaker 1: What does that mean, Cello, Well, it just means he's
- 40:04Speaker 1: gonna continue pursuing you the way you have. You're having conversations,
- 40:10Speaker 1: but his plan is to see if it can go further.
- 40:15Speaker 1: But he's got to make sure you in line with it.
- 40:17Speaker 1: So all it is is he's just saying, let's keep
- 40:20Speaker 1: things like it is. But if he keeps talking you,
- 40:24Speaker 1: talking you, it's not because he wants to keep things
- 40:26Speaker 1: like it is. He just got to see if you okay.
- 40:30Speaker 1: We're sleeping with your ex boyfriend's cousin. That's all it is,
- 40:39Speaker 1: and if you okay with it, he gonna be okay
- 40:41Speaker 1: with it. But he's but he's been doing a gentleman
- 40:45Speaker 1: thing and allowing you the chance to make that decision.
- 40:50Speaker 1: But that's what he means by we'll keep it casual. Okay, Yeah,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you can't take it no more. She said she figured
- 40:59Speaker 1: this be a problem DJ and fort Worth says, I
- 41:04Speaker 1: have a big problem with my fraternity brother. He introduced
- 41:07Speaker 1: me to one of his son's mothers, and she is beautiful.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Oh to one of his I'm sorry, I said one
- 41:14Speaker 1: of his. Oh that is right, okay, DJ and fort Worth.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I have a big problem with my fraternity brother. He
- 41:20Speaker 1: introduced me to one of his son's mothers, and she
- 41:24Speaker 1: is beautiful and thick and just my type. He told
- 41:28Speaker 1: me she was the devil and he couldn't stand her.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I ran into her again at the club and we
- 41:33Speaker 1: got drunk and had sex that night. She said she
- 41:38Speaker 1: did it to get back at my frat brother. I'm
- 41:41Speaker 1: cool with it because we're still having great sex. Often.
- 41:44Speaker 1: My frat brother has threatened to jump on me if
- 41:46Speaker 1: I don't leave her alone. Am I wrong? If it's
- 41:49Speaker 1: just sex and nothing else. Don't your boy told you
- 41:54Speaker 1: that was the devil? You meet the devil at the club?
- 41:57Speaker 1: Y'all have sex dead night. I know that that ain't
- 42:01Speaker 1: sound like the devil you do. And now she says
- 42:06Speaker 1: she just did that to get back at her Boyfrid.
- 42:10Speaker 1: I think I think your fred brother right. Man. Now,
- 42:13Speaker 1: you go ahead if you want to, but y'all keep
- 42:16Speaker 1: having great sex. We'll go ahead, man, go ahead, But
- 42:20Speaker 1: I mean, look, man, you know I don't get a
- 42:25Speaker 1: beat down. I mean, brow now your board and told
- 42:28Speaker 1: you he gonna jump on me if you keep seeing her.
- 42:32Speaker 1: You're you don't believe that he didn't believe the other
- 42:37Speaker 1: part that he said you. You're kind of stupid if
- 42:40Speaker 1: you ask me first of all, that move him on
- 42:43Speaker 1: your boy's ex girl after he told you that he
- 42:45Speaker 1: told you to quit seeing her, and now and now
- 42:47Speaker 1: you're letting the wrong part of your body do the thinking.
- 42:50Speaker 1: So now here's a deal. He gonna find out and
- 42:54Speaker 1: he gonna jump on you, and you're gonna get your
- 42:57Speaker 1: ass whoop. And then you got to just make the decision.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Wasn't worth it? All right? It's kind of crazy, man.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I don't even understand, but I okay whatever. Tyra and
- 43:10Speaker 1: Charlotte says. I've been dating a man for five years
- 43:13Speaker 1: and he has told me I'm the woman he wants
- 43:15Speaker 1: to marry. I've a feeling that he's cheating on me,
- 43:18Speaker 1: and when I asked him about it, he tells me
- 43:21Speaker 1: that he's just making sure he gets some things out
- 43:24Speaker 1: of his system before he gets married. I want to see.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I don't want to sit around waiting for him if
- 43:29Speaker 1: he's seeing other women, but I don't want to lose him.
- 43:32Speaker 1: If he's really trying to marry me, should I follow
- 43:34Speaker 1: my first mind and dump him? Yes, I'm a simple
- 43:40Speaker 1: That's what you're intuition is for. You're dating a guy
- 43:44Speaker 1: for five years. Obviously you all was supposed to be
- 43:46Speaker 1: in some type of committed relationship. He turns around and
- 43:49Speaker 1: tells you after you bust him, he wants to get
- 43:51Speaker 1: everything out of his system, but I want to marry you.
- 43:54Speaker 1: So if he marries you, how do you know it's
- 43:56Speaker 1: out of his system? Right? Follow your heart, follow your mind,
- 44:01Speaker 1: natural heart. Good answer, cello. You can submit your questions

- 48:22Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do. Dude. More kind of medical
- 48:24Speaker 1: bills could you have for some you caught for years ago?

- 53:11Speaker 1: If you do have kids, please, they don't want to
- 53:14Speaker 1: hear this letter, and you don't want them to hear
- 53:16Speaker 1: this particular letter. Dear Stephen Shirley. Yeah, I'm disclaimer. Oh
- 53:20Speaker 1: you can leave him in there and let them learn something. No, Steve,
- 53:23Speaker 1: this is not a teaching moment for kids, all right,
- 53:25Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. My girl and I have been together
- 53:28Speaker 1: for three years, and I instantly knew she was the
- 53:31Speaker 1: one when I met her. She cooks, watches sports with me,
- 53:35Speaker 1: and she supports my dream to be an entertainer. Our
- 53:38Speaker 1: relationship was just perfect until about eight months ago when
- 53:42Speaker 1: I was on an adult website browsing through amateur home
- 53:45Speaker 1: videos and I noticed one video with a background that
- 53:48Speaker 1: looked just like my bedroom. After I zoomed in, I
- 53:53Speaker 1: saw that it was my bedroom and it was a
- 53:56Speaker 1: video of my girlfriend and I getting it on IM
- 54:00Speaker 1: confronted her and she told me that she too wants
- 54:04Speaker 1: to be an entertainer dot dot an adult film star.
- 54:09Speaker 1: She told me that she has posted over twenty videos
- 54:12Speaker 1: of our best work in the bedroom. Now, I'm not
- 54:15Speaker 1: a shy person, but she should have at least told
- 54:18Speaker 1: me first this is crazy, right should I should I
- 54:22Speaker 1: have covered so I could have covered my face. She
- 54:25Speaker 1: begged me to keep participating in the videos with her,
- 54:28Speaker 1: so now it's something that we do often. She makes
- 54:31Speaker 1: good money from uploading the videos to the site, so
- 54:34Speaker 1: this has become a lucrative part time job for her.
- 54:38Speaker 1: But I can't help but think that this could come
- 54:40Speaker 1: back to bite me in the butt one day and
- 54:42Speaker 1: keep me from becoming a successful entertainer. Last week, I
- 54:46Speaker 1: told her that I'm out of the home video business
- 54:49Speaker 1: with her. Okay, I told her that I want to
- 54:54Speaker 1: settle down with her and have a normal lifestyle. Well,
- 54:57Speaker 1: she is furious with me and said that she's been
- 55:00Speaker 1: supporting my dream for two years, but I won't support hers.
- 55:03Speaker 1: So Stephen Shirley, should I support my dream and make
- 55:06Speaker 1: this thing work? Or should I leave this madness and
- 55:09Speaker 1: move on? Please help? No, absolutely not. You cannot support this.
- 55:16Speaker 1: This is madness. You need to move on from this.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I mean, you know this isn't right. Come on, why
- 55:22Speaker 1: would you want to do this? And and yes, people
- 55:25Speaker 1: are going to find out. I mean you're in the
- 55:28Speaker 1: entertainment business, so there's some leniency there, but you can
- 55:31Speaker 1: never take these videos back there. They're going to live
- 55:33Speaker 1: on the internet forever. This is your heart isn't into this.
- 55:37Speaker 1: You don't want to do this? This is why is
- 55:39Speaker 1: this her dream? Anyway? You've been with her for three
- 55:43Speaker 1: years and it is a betrayal because she didn't tell you.
- 55:47Speaker 1: You have to agree to this if you're going to
- 55:49Speaker 1: have your butt out on video on the internet. Come on, now,
- 55:53Speaker 1: this is craziness right here. Yes, she's wrong on every levels,
- 56:00Speaker 1: especially because she didn't tell you if your dream is
- 56:03Speaker 1: to be an entertainer, an entertainer, this is not the
- 56:06Speaker 1: way to break into the business. I guarantee you that
- 56:09Speaker 1: some people have yes, and they've gone on to do
- 56:13Speaker 1: bigger and better things or whatever. But I don't think
- 56:16Speaker 1: you need to be a part of that. No, she's
- 56:19Speaker 1: wrong on every level for doing this. Should you should
- 56:21Speaker 1: you support her? I don't think you should and make
- 56:24Speaker 1: this thing work? No? No, Should you leave this madness
- 56:28Speaker 1: and move on? For sure? Leave the madness. And if
- 56:30Speaker 1: she's mad at you for not supporting it, you're gonna
- 56:33Speaker 1: have to leave her too. Steve bro I don't see
- 56:36Speaker 1: what the letter is for. In this whole letter, man,
- 56:40Speaker 1: it's just madness. You know you're going along. You meet
- 56:44Speaker 1: this girl, y'all been together for three years. You instantly
- 56:47Speaker 1: knew she was the one when you met her. She cooks,
- 56:51Speaker 1: watch sports with me. She supports my dream to be
- 56:54Speaker 1: an entertainer. She do all that. She just waiting on
- 56:57Speaker 1: this game to be old. Yeah, she watching sports. So
- 57:01Speaker 1: we can get on here and make you damn movie.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I'm watching these games, I ain't really watching the game.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I'm looking upside your head because I need you in
- 57:10Speaker 1: here to getting this damn movie right. Relationship was perfect
- 57:15Speaker 1: to About eight months ago. I was on an adult
- 57:18Speaker 1: website get browsing through the amateur home videos. Right noticed
- 57:27Speaker 1: this one video headed background it looked just like my bedroom.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Hold on, so I zoomed in. Huh, I it was
- 57:40Speaker 1: my bed room. I'm surprised you recognized the bedroom for
- 57:44Speaker 1: you recognize your ass. That was the shockle for me.
- 57:48Speaker 1: But damn, you're talking about that's my bedroom. You wasn't
- 57:51Speaker 1: paying no attention to the two people in the bed right,
- 57:55Speaker 1: This is my bedroom. No, that's your behind. I zoomed in.
- 57:59Speaker 1: It was it, and it was a video my girlfriend
- 58:02Speaker 1: and I getting it on all you use proper grammar.
- 58:06Speaker 1: It wasn't me and my girlfriend. It was my girlfriend
- 58:09Speaker 1: and I. You might use proper grammar, but you're on
- 58:12Speaker 1: you on the porno site. Wow. I immediately confronted her
- 58:16Speaker 1: and she told me that she too wants to be
- 58:18Speaker 1: an entertainer. See all these three years y'all been talking around,
- 58:21Speaker 1: you ain't never uncovered that dog. You had to go
- 58:24Speaker 1: on the portal site to discover. Yeah, she wants to
- 58:27Speaker 1: be an adult film stock. She told me she'd have
- 58:30Speaker 1: posted over twenty videos of our best work in the bedroom.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I ain't no shop person, you know. Damn. You got
- 58:41Speaker 1: to tell him. I could have watched her something, but
- 58:43Speaker 1: you could have told me so I could have covered
- 58:45Speaker 1: my faith. Or it's been to get out, and it's

- 59:47Speaker 1: I don't want to be this type of movie star.
- 59:49Speaker 1: This dude met this girl three years ago. I knew
- 59:52Speaker 1: she was the one. Perfect fellow low right away. They've
- 59:54Speaker 1: been to have three years. Everything was perfect. About eight
- 59:58Speaker 1: months ago, he looked up a wants to go he
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: on a pinto sake. I'm just going through the home
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: video and he noticed that that was a bad room
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: that looked familiar. He zoomed in and the reason looked
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: familiar because it was his bad room. But it was
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: him and his girl in the video. Oh hell no, crazy,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: we're landing in fronted her right away. Baby, baby, it's
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: a video menu. I know it is. You ain't the
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: only one. I want to be a star. I want
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: to be a star too. O god, I want to
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: be an adult film star. Well, hold up, I posted
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: over twenty videos of us doing your best work, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: it has turned out to be lucrative. We're making money, man,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: he said, well, hold on, hold on, I ain't shot nothing,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: but she should at least told me so. I could
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: have covered my face. See, this can't get out about me.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: But the problem, though, all is it's gonna get out
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: about me. I'm gonna get to that in a minute.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: She begged me to keep participating. In the videos with her.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: So now something we do often, you just in't here
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: just clown. She made good money from uploading the videos
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to the site, so this become a luke at the
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: part time job for But I can't help but think
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: that this could come back and then get where. He said,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: this could come back and bite me in the butt
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: one day. Well, everybody else in your button, you might
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: as well get it. Bit they up in it, they
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: stand in it. And they said they could come back
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: and bite me and keep me from becoming a successful entertainer.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Last week I told him I'm out of the home
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: video business with her. I told her, I want to
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: settle down with her. See this what lost me in
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: right here. So you want to settle down with a
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: pound start out? Wow, you want to make hum you
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: know what your point one? Because if you quit the
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: videos and her dream is to become an adult film
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: star and you quit doing it, she gotta get somebody else.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Coastar didn't need damn movies. But here Coastar no, he
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: he don't wanta do it no more. I told her,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I'm out of it. I want to settle down. I
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: want to settle down. She was furious. With me and
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: said that I've been supporting your damn dreams for two years,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: but I want to support hers. So Stephen Siley said,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I support my girl and make this thing work. Should
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I leave this madness and move on? You know, goddamn water.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: You need to get out, run, you know, do about
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: four five more films and get out, do about four
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: five more films and get out because she makes good money.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: And put that bag on your head. Paperback that paper bag,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: you know. Now, let me tell your problem, bro, it's
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: out here. Somebody gonna find out. These are the ways
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: that people can find and out. Flipping through the year book?
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: What didn't he go to school? Didn't he go to school? Boards?
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Is he? Dunas? Here go another one, dude, dud, I'm
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: flipping through the side right here. He don't know? Ain't
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: he the band teacher? What? What? Hello? I'm looking at
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: it d ry? Ain't that day daddy? Here's another one?
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Come on loud, Jesus, you ain't gonna believe what I
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: seen on my granddaughter phone. Not grandma. That Deacon Patterson
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: who he's a teacher and he's a band tea your
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: he in charge of the cub Scouts pack six sixty nine.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Yes he is good lord and missing. She hasn't turned
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: it off. You know. He teaches to Sunday School class
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: dared Sunday. I'm to get dressed a little earlier. Go
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: down here, down Deacon Patterson, cause Dennis Patterson is doing
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: the moden Patterson and he packed. Matter of fact, Dennis
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: is packet. Come on, Grandma, I got to show this
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to Arline. She still Arline still goes out at night.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Oh Lord, Lucy, get off the site ground. I can't
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: they got here out thirty four videos counting them, and
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: if him and the girl was in twenty you know,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I think this to man that Steve were reading about
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: on the Strawberry I beat dog gone. We didn't wear them, Ellen, Ellen,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: we find we's in the Strawberry letter. We finding. I've
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: been to call Steve and Sherlan tell him we didn't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: found the victims in. They let him and he's a
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: deacon of our church and he teaches Sunday school. Whild
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: We're gonna collect her offering. Man, we got a chip
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: in and make another movie. Grandmother, my niece find out
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: what hull just trick itself. Oh my god, Hey listen
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Guys, email us there,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: go to Steve Harvey f m oh boy, the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Today you're listening Steve Show. All right, guys, it is
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: time for comedy roulette. Let's go, guys. It's very simple.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: You take three subjects. You put those three subjects on
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a wheel. Spun the wheel where it stop. We'll make
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: it funny, because that's what we do. Put all right,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: here we go. Things you say when your baby mama
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: calls asking for money again? Uh. Number two Excuses people
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: make not to chip in on gas money when you're
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: on a road trip. Here's the last one. All right.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Reasons you give to not look a person in the eye,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: all right, all right, spun it, spun it. Give me
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the gasping. Let's do that. The reasons you give to
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: not look a person in the eye. I can tell
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: you right now why sometimes you can't look a person. Now,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: you know how people wear them glasses and they win
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: them tight on their face, and to be sweat down
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: in the lids. You can't look at that. You can't
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: look at that. It'd be sweat down at the bottom
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: of can't look at that. We can't do it, it'd
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: be all sweaty in the lids. I can't look down
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: when you ye. I'll tell you the reason why you
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: can't look at people in the eye because it's missing.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: That's why I can't look you in the eye. Because
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: he's what happened. I can't see. I don't know why
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: if it's missing. I'll tell you why you can't look
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: somebody in the eye. We just got through having hard, hard,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: steaming sex. I really can't look at you now. I
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: can't just what we just did for real though. We
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: just can't make no one contact. We're talking about thing
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: reason why you can't look a person in the eye.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Cast a breath, stink that good. If I'm looking in
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: your eyes, that mean my head is up. And this
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: is too much reason you can't look a person in
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: the eye. But because for some reason you thought it
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: would be cool to shave off your eyebris and drawing
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: them all toward your boy here. Yeah, I'll tell you
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: what he has another white cat. The people of the eye.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Because when you're sitting in a corner by yourself and
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: want nobody talk to you, that's because there's a strong body,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: older coming director from you. Ain't nobody's gonna look at you.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you guys for two day's version
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: of comedy Roulette. Thank you. Coming up more of the
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: you have a segment called I don't know who invented it,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: but i'd sure like to thank them. Well, I'm like
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: to start this off, and we're gonna alternate, but I'd
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: like to start this off with the guy that invented
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the salt shaker. Yeah, because if I had to get
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: my salt off of a block licking it like a
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: deal out in the backyard, that bothered me. I'm so
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: glad they put it in a damn shake. That was ingenious.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: A salt shaker that way. I ain't got to use
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: that box with the little white girl on it with
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: the raincoat because it just pulled too much out. It's
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: a spout. Somebody made the shaker, thank you? All right?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: All right? I got one whoever took that root bill
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: and poured it over that ice cream and made that float.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Greatest invention in the world, right back, A n W
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: root bill over ice cream. All right, I'll tell you
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: what I would like to Ain't the person who was
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: the first one to say, I'm gonna whoop your ass,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: because I've been using that with my nephew for fifteen
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: years and it is working. I'm telling you, I didn't
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: know I'm gonna need that, but that is important. Whoever
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: was the first said that, I like to think the
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: person that came up with the terms sugar honey, ice tea.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times that it came
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: through for me. I ain't did some sugar tea and
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: it and it has meant so much to me throughout
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the years. Thank you, man, Because you know, ain't got
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: some manure? Was not cutting it? Ain't that some Ain't
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: that some car cor that ain't it? That's some poop. No, No,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: that don't work. No, it don't work. That don't work.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: That's a good one thing. Okay, check this. The first
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: slave that took them chitlings out that hole and said,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: you know what, we're gonna figure out someone that r him.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna work. Well, I'm gonna clean this a real
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: good to see what I can do with it. I
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: ain't gonna I'll be back y'all give me a minute now. Really,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I don't really, y'all give me a minute now. I'm
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: gonna come back. When I come back, I'll tell you
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: what I like. I would like to thank the person
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: who kept the grease and put it in the can
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: on the stove. Come on, I like to thank them
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: because that second back of fish is always better by
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: you be crunching. I don't like to really thank them.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Said I'm not throwing this away. I don't know what
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: made him say it, but I'm not throwing this away.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Put that in the Crisco can and let's just hold on, Joe.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I don't say that, but thank yeah. I want to
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: think whoever came up with running shoes himps was wearing

- 1:12:02Speaker 1: hard it is to watch people walking and ran over
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: platforms and and and stack heels shoes. Thank god, somebody
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: came up with a running shoe. This is my invitation
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: to my board Peanut. We were standing on the corner
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: one day and this was Peanut running from the police.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: You're gonna get caught sound yeah, okay, okay, okay, okay, Sugar.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: How about this one that bottom TV only got volume.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Whoever put that put that other TV on top that
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: only had picture right there, the picture from the bottom,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the sound is from the top, vice versa. Whoever came
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: up with and put that TV on top of that,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: bow down to you, because every household of broken. That's
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: good looking out, that's good looking up. Last one. Come on,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: whoever came up with protective custody, so when you go
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: to jail, you ain't gonna be out there with everybody
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: else if your asses them is a little chump day.

- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Here we are the last break of the day, on
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: this last day of the week for us, this Friday.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: It's been an impactful week. UM leave us with some
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: closing remarks. You know, Steve, I think that um I
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: want to share with you is something that prevents so
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: many people from becoming successful. And that thing is called excuses.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: You know, it's it's it's it's amazing how when we
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: want to justify a lack of effort, or we want
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: to justify our procrastination, all we want to justify not
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: doing something we said we were going to do. We
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: want to justify just not getting started. We can come
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: up with some pretty pretty impressive excuses. But you know,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: the thing about an excuse, though it serves no one
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: except the person that's providing the excuse. The person you're
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: giving the excuse too. It does nothing from them because
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: their level of exp dictation for you was in place,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: and the fact that you didn't come through. I mean,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: how can you possibly think that this person is sitting
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: there going, wow, that's great, you didn't come through. Now
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: you're here, okay, Well I'm sorry that happened. So when
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: will you get to it all? You'll hear something like,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: oh wow, man, I didn't know that. And when you
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: walk a guy and when you walk away, that person goes, wow.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: I can't count on them. If you keep giving excuses,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: then after a while a person just goes I don't
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: believe nothing, he says. And either way, man, the person
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: that you gave the excuse to, I can promise you
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: they don't think as much of you as they did
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: when they first thought you were coming through. Folks, if
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: you could learn to eliminate excuses, you know, taught me
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: not to have excuses. My father follows a strong man. Man.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: It's dude was powerful to me. It's the greatest dude
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: to have a new But he taught me about excuses,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: he says, Son, don't ever give me an excuse, because
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: what that ain't gonna do me no good? He said,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: we ain't got nothing. At least you could give me
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: your word, he said, we ain't got nothing else, we
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: ain't got too much more than a part to piss in.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: But if you're gonna give me your word and tell
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: me you're gonna do something, don't give me no excuse instead,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: because now we ain't got nothing, y'all. If you can
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: eliminate excuses, if you could stop the allowing yourself off
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: the hook, because that's all it is. The only person
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: you're hurting with these excuses is you. I'll give you
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: an example of how you hurt other people with your excuse. Sister.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: If you have a child and you keep promising your
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: child that you're gonna do so, if you're a dad,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: you don't live with your child, your boy or your girl,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: you tell them you're gonna come by. That child is
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: at the window, and that the door waiting. They got
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: their little bag pack, they got their lunch packs. I'm
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: going with my daddy, and man on man on man.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: The disappointment that had that child had when you went
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: and then you call in against what you say. I
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: had to work. Sorry, man, but I had to work. Well,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: I got, you had to work for guess what, And
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: there's nothing for that child that was waiting on their dad. Yeah,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I got, you got to work. But what they got
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: to do that don't stop the disappointment and the child.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: See excuses, man, they go alone. Wait many they do
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: far more damage than you can imagine. So after a while,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: if you keep doing that to that child, and you
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: keep promising your child you're gonna do something, you never
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: do it. Ah, think about that, man, what that does
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: to that child. If you're in a relationship and you
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: keep promising the person you're in a relationship with it
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: you're gonna do something for them, you never do it.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: How long you think this relationship gonna last. You gotta
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: do what you say you're gonna do. You can't create excuses.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: But then the person who really gets damaged is you.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Because when that child grows up and he can now
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: stand on his own, and he can take his own
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: self somewhere, and he can buy his own clothes, and
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: now you want to come around and hey, that's my son,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: and then he's old enough to ask you questions. Yeah,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: I'm your sombol. Where were you when I needed you? Man?
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Where were you when I was standing in the window?
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Where were you when I was sitting on the porch, man,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: with my lunchbox, just looking at every card that went by,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: hoping that my daddy would finally come through to my
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: mama finally told me coming there off the porch. You see, man,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: now you got to deal with that and all in
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: excuses you was giving that boy or that little girl
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: back then. It don't mean damn thing to them, you know, man,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: And it stops you so much. See, once you become
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: a person that provides excuses, it ain't just to your children.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: It ain't just to your love one, your love on.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: It's to your job, it's to your career. And pretty
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: soon you start giving excuses to yourself because it's a
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: pattern of behavior and you got to break that pattern
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: of behavior because it's a no win situation for you.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Stop making excuses. Man, Why don't you just simply do
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: what you say you're gonna do. It's much easier to
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: do that. If you say you're gonna do it, be
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: a man of your word, a woman of your word,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: and go do it. Period. Now, if you're not gonna
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: do it. Say that. Be a man of your word
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: on that. See, that's what I do. When somebody asked
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: me to do something, I distinctly tell them, ain't man,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do that. I'm sorry, but I won't
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: be there that way. Ain't no hope of you're looking
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: for me? Well he said it wasn't coming. But I'm
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: gonna see if he come anywhere. No, no, no. If
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I tell you I'm not coming, you're pretty much bank
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I ain't coming. But if I tell you I'm coming,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: you can look for me, and chances are I'll be there.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: It would take a lot for me not to do
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: what I say I'm going to do because I just
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: ain't made that way. I don't like the excuses. You
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: can't get to where you're going with a bunch of excuses,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: all right? For all, Steve Every contests no purchase necessary,
