- 1:41Speaker 6: To turn the most.
- 1:42Speaker 5: Turn you probably got to turn, mouth, turn out, turn
- 1:46Speaker 5: a wad of the water, a jap.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think, ahh, I sure will. Good
- 2:04Speaker 2: morning everybody. You all listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only.
- 2:09Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Hell Man back in
- 2:14Speaker 7: business too, Man, Man, how good is God? I mean, really,
- 2:18Speaker 7: if you think about it in spite of all that's
- 2:20Speaker 7: going down in your life. First of all, it could
- 2:23Speaker 7: be worse. But secondly, sometimes you have to remember. And
- 2:27Speaker 7: I've just had to have this conversation with myself this morning.
- 2:31Speaker 7: That's how I'm fresh on this one right here. When
- 2:35Speaker 7: a challenge faces you, are you going through a difficult moment,
- 2:39Speaker 7: or you didn't hit a bump in the road in
- 2:41Speaker 7: the middle of that, if you could manage to be grateful,
- 2:45Speaker 7: it would take you a long way.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Gratitude is a powerful resource.
- 2:51Speaker 7: If you can be grateful in the middle of it,
- 2:54Speaker 7: gratitude is a powerful resource when it's dim for you.
- 3:00Speaker 7: And then got a little bumpy on the road, and
- 3:02Speaker 7: he ran into some obstacles, and you done ran up
- 3:05Speaker 7: into some detailed signs, and your journey ain't smooth as
- 3:09Speaker 7: it was.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Last week or last year.
- 3:13Speaker 7: You gotta be grateful for the things that are going
- 3:17Speaker 7: right and that have gone right, and for the thing
- 3:21Speaker 7: that's wrong right now to get right?
- 3:23Speaker 2: Man? Can I share that with you?
- 3:25Speaker 4: Man?
- 3:26Speaker 2: Is that a tough one to learn? It is for me.
- 3:28Speaker 7: It has been one of my toughest challenges is to
- 3:32Speaker 7: learn how to be grateful because it's a powerful resource,
- 3:37Speaker 7: but how to be grateful in moments of despair when
- 3:40Speaker 7: it ain't going right. See here's a mistake I would make.
- 3:43Speaker 7: See when something go wrong, I want to focus on
- 3:46Speaker 7: the wrong so much in an.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Attempt to fix it.
- 3:50Speaker 7: But even then the focus ain't always in to fix it.
- 3:55Speaker 7: The focus becomes, Man, this is bad, man, I can't
- 3:59Speaker 7: believe this has happened. Why just keep going down? That
- 4:02Speaker 7: doesn't fix anything? You know, mealing over it, going over
- 4:07Speaker 7: what's wrong, explaining it, sharing it with your friends, you know,
- 4:14Speaker 7: making it sound worse than it is. Tell the story
- 4:18Speaker 7: for pity from other people. All of that right there,
- 4:21Speaker 7: has nothing to do with the fix. Sometimes you're just
- 4:24Speaker 7: mulling over it. You're just making it worse. You're just
- 4:27Speaker 7: making it a bigger problem. You're manifesting it into your atmosphere,
- 4:31Speaker 7: You're putting it out there in your spirit. Now, all
- 4:33Speaker 7: of a sudden, it consumes your day. Next thing, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 7: you're having a bad day. If you're having a bad day,
- 4:39Speaker 7: it's because you've been having some bad thoughts. So what
- 4:43Speaker 7: I've had to learn how to do, and what I'm
- 4:44Speaker 7: working on this morning is I'm working on the situation
- 4:48Speaker 7: that Ben cropped up. I was going kind of smooth
- 4:51Speaker 7: here for a minute, and now then got real bumpy
- 4:54Speaker 7: in the road, you know, and all this here. So
- 4:56Speaker 7: what I'm thinking about now, though, is even though I've
- 4:59Speaker 7: hit a bumping road, and even though I done ran
- 5:02Speaker 7: into a detour, and even though I've hit this lull,
- 5:07Speaker 7: I'm going down into a valley, I ain't up on
- 5:09Speaker 7: the peak. Can I not still be grateful for all
- 5:14Speaker 7: the things that God has given me, for all the
- 5:17Speaker 7: things He's done for me, for all the things He's
- 5:20Speaker 7: bought me through, And realizing that even this that's happening
- 5:24Speaker 7: to me again, is going to pass to He gonna
- 5:28Speaker 7: get me through that too. Come on, man, God is
- 5:31Speaker 7: a good god man. It's a lot to be grateful for.
- 5:33Speaker 7: So while I'm tripping on this bumping the road out
- 5:35Speaker 7: in here, what I got to remember is all the
- 5:37Speaker 7: things He's done for me. And like I say, my
- 5:40Speaker 7: saying is join depression cannot reside in the same place.
- 5:44Speaker 7: So instead of being down about this new bumping the road,
- 5:47Speaker 7: if I'm constantly filling my mind with the thoughts of
- 5:50Speaker 7: how good he's been to me, of what all he's
- 5:53Speaker 7: done for me, of all the things he's brought me through,
- 5:56Speaker 7: of all the blessings he's presented me with, when I
- 5:59Speaker 7: go down on that list, I really don't have a
- 6:01Speaker 7: lot of time to mull over the situation.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Do I have to fix this bump in the row?
- 6:10Speaker 7: Of course I do. Are There's some things I'm going
- 6:13Speaker 7: to have to do to straighten it out, of course
- 6:15Speaker 7: it is. But Steve just going to get the business
- 6:18Speaker 7: of doing it and straighten it out. What you mulling
- 6:20Speaker 7: over and worrying about it for you.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Know, old people.
- 6:23Speaker 7: I heard old people say something when I was growing
- 6:25Speaker 7: up in the church, they say, if you're gonna pray
- 6:27Speaker 7: about it, don't worry about it.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But if you're gonna worry about it, don't pray about it.
- 6:31Speaker 7: That's an amazing thing. And prayer just happens to be
- 6:36Speaker 7: my weapon of choice. Now, it ain't always been that way.
- 6:39Speaker 7: I want you to understand that My first weapon of
- 6:41Speaker 7: choice was you do it to me, I do it
- 6:43Speaker 7: to you. You called me out, I call you out.
- 6:46Speaker 7: You say something bad about me. I've tried to find
- 6:48Speaker 7: you say something bad about you. That was my weapon
- 6:52Speaker 7: in the past. How did that work out for you, Steve?
- 6:55Speaker 7: Not so good? Because you know what, I spend a
- 6:58Speaker 7: lot of time fighting back, kicking back, swinging back, when
- 7:04Speaker 7: I could have spent all that time climbing. See, all
- 7:07Speaker 7: you trying to do at the end of the day, folks,
- 7:09Speaker 7: is have a better life than the one you got.
- 7:12Speaker 7: All you trying to do is to improve your position
- 7:14Speaker 7: in life. You know, it's not my business to make
- 7:17Speaker 7: sure you don't get where you going. I ain't got
- 7:20Speaker 7: no time for that. It's not my job to assure
- 7:23Speaker 7: that you ain't as high as me. I ain't got
- 7:26Speaker 7: no time for that. Your real mission and purpose is
- 7:30Speaker 7: to have the best life that you can have, to
- 7:33Speaker 7: ascend to the highest plateau that you can get to,
- 7:36Speaker 7: to make your family as comfortable as you can, to
- 7:39Speaker 7: provide as much as you.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Can for your family. But legally, see, those.
- 7:44Speaker 7: Of us are sitting up here trying to come up
- 7:45Speaker 7: with sideways. You can ask a couple million men sitting
- 7:49Speaker 7: in prison today how they wish they hadn't have done that,
- 7:52Speaker 7: and they'll tell you, Oh, man, I wish I never
- 7:55Speaker 7: had did it.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I knew not to go down there. Something told me
- 7:59Speaker 2: not to go down that. Man. If I could change things,
- 8:02Speaker 2: I would, But they.
- 8:03Speaker 7: Sitting somewhere doing some time that had they made another
- 8:07Speaker 7: decision they wouldn't have to do now. That don't make
- 8:10Speaker 7: them throw away people, nah, man, Because everybody make mistakes,
- 8:14Speaker 7: and God is in the forgiving business. And some of
- 8:16Speaker 7: us have done some things that really broke the law,
- 8:20Speaker 7: and a whole lot of other things and deserve to
- 8:22Speaker 7: do some time.
- 8:23Speaker 2: But through the grace of God, we didn't.
- 8:25Speaker 7: But now we sit up here we pass judgment on
- 8:27Speaker 7: people who got to do some matter. I don't care.
- 8:29Speaker 7: I don't care what you've done. God can forgive anything,
- 8:32Speaker 7: but our position our motivation in life is to try
- 8:36Speaker 7: to have the best life we can have and provide
- 8:39Speaker 7: for those around us and make it comfortable. If that's
- 8:42Speaker 7: your ambition, you don't have time to worry about or
- 8:46Speaker 7: concern yourself with another person. And I wasted time doing that,
- 8:51Speaker 7: And that's not the way to get it done. It's
- 8:54Speaker 7: simply mine to your business. Taking care of you and
- 8:57Speaker 7: getting yourself right and tight is twenty five seven, so
- 9:00Speaker 7: that's a full time job. So what I had to
- 9:03Speaker 7: learn was and what I've the reason I've chosen prayers
- 9:08Speaker 7: as my weapon of choice now is that now prayer
- 9:11Speaker 7: helps me that I don't have to fight back. Now
- 9:15Speaker 7: if I get cornered, I'm gonna fight you. I ain't
- 9:18Speaker 7: even gonna lie to you. And now I'm still working
- 9:21Speaker 7: on some things that trigger me. You know, you know,
- 9:25Speaker 7: you know, and and and and so I'm I'm I'm
- 9:28Speaker 7: slowly getting better at that. But I've learned that my
- 9:32Speaker 7: weapon of choice is prayer now. So when it happens
- 9:37Speaker 7: ugly for me, I pray about it. When it gets
- 9:40Speaker 7: tight and dismal for me, I pray about it. And
- 9:44Speaker 7: the thing about prayer, man, is prayer changes things. Yes,
- 9:48Speaker 7: it does now, read about it and try it. That's
- 9:53Speaker 7: the deal, Okay, Come on, prayer is a wonderful weapon. Show,
- 10:02Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the beginning of the Steve
- 10:05Speaker 7: Harvey Morning Show. The show is beginning a little bit
- 10:08Speaker 7: different today because I am starting at the tone that
- 10:11Speaker 7: I don't normally tone in. Toning is important, Tony.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Well enough for that. What y'all doing today? Showly is
- 10:23Speaker 2: good to be here.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Mighty grateful, filled with gratitude, woke me off. I ain't
- 10:28Speaker 7: at my best right now today, but I'm but I'm here.
- 10:32Speaker 7: I got you, and I'll take it. I will take it,
- 10:37Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry calling for real the Mississippi
- 10:41Speaker 7: Monica Junior kissed Fates, the legend of Nephew Tommy Junior Day.
- 10:48Speaker 7: What could possibly be on your mind today?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Gifts you don't really happy to get? You really good
- 10:55Speaker 2: gifts them get your gifts? Do you know how to
- 10:57Speaker 2: give them back? You just take them and walk off
- 10:59Speaker 2: like that's what I just take them.
- 11:00Speaker 7: I'm not you know, you give me a gift that suck?
- 11:02Speaker 7: I don't Please, don't be in my face because I
- 11:06Speaker 7: will reckon it. Yeah, yeah, I like people. If you're
- 11:11Speaker 7: gonna give me a suck gift, drop it off. Yeah, don't, don't,
- 11:15Speaker 7: don't hand it to me. There's that open I understand that.
- 11:20Speaker 7: Go ahead, open it. And then they sit there with
- 11:22Speaker 7: that little prep look on their face like they're ready
- 11:25Speaker 7: for the explosion. You like it, come on, you know,
- 11:29Speaker 7: and if it ain't there, you know, it's just it's
- 11:31Speaker 7: hard sometimes because you want you want to appear grateful.
- 11:35Speaker 7: You know that, you know that somebody even thought of you,
- 11:38Speaker 7: and you want to remember. You know, it's a thought
- 11:40Speaker 7: that counts. You want to think about that. But then
- 11:43Speaker 7: you know, all that don't matter when you get a
- 11:45Speaker 7: ragged ass gilt.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Yeah tell me okay, but what about when somebody then
- 11:50Speaker 2: brought us some.
- 11:52Speaker 8: Food or cake or pie, and now they want us
- 11:56Speaker 8: to sit there and cut it and eat it right here?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 7: First of all, let me tell y'all, people who can cook.
- 12:02Speaker 7: I appreciate you cooking. I bet you can cook, but
- 12:05Speaker 7: we not fin to eat it. We just want to
- 12:08Speaker 7: let you know that because we don't know where this
- 12:11Speaker 7: poecake cookies come from.
- 12:14Speaker 2: They did.
- 12:14Speaker 7: I made these for y'all, Thank you so much. Set
- 12:16Speaker 7: it down out, you know.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Much food out and left at radio shows? Remember when
- 12:20Speaker 2: you should go out? How much food out and left?
- 12:23Speaker 2: How many cakes is in that? Drivers? I gave it
- 12:26Speaker 2: to the driver.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Oh man, oh oh, I had one driver told me,
- 12:30Speaker 7: oh man, I heard it. This lady good, good, good,
- 12:34Speaker 7: because I ain't.
- 12:35Speaker 8: They found out you like red velvet. Everywhere we went,
- 12:38Speaker 8: somebody was bringing the red velvet cake.
- 12:41Speaker 7: The only lady we would eat from is in Detroit,
- 12:43Speaker 7: the Cookie Lady in Detroit. Lady that was the only
- 12:47Speaker 7: person I ate food from Cookie Lady in Detroit.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Because don't you remember that post?
- 12:52Speaker 9: It was it was a couple of years or so
- 12:54Speaker 9: ago where these where these people were washing these greens
- 12:59Speaker 9: or Chitling's or something and in the bathtub and they
- 13:01Speaker 9: posted that picture.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Ookie. You can you cannot. They had them in their
- 13:08Speaker 1: bathtub cleaning the.
- 13:11Speaker 7: Well, you know, cleaning ship is in the bathtub. Ain't
- 13:14Speaker 7: a bad deal, share, I've seen that many times, you have.
- 13:18Speaker 10: I've never never seen that.
- 13:20Speaker 9: Yeah for that one time.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen that before.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Especially if you got to if you got to do
- 13:25Speaker 7: like molding two twenty pound clubs, you know you can't.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Put that but in the tub. Let you take a
- 13:32Speaker 1: bath tub.
- 13:33Speaker 9: Okay, uh, we're moving on, coming up and doctor, minutes
- 13:36Speaker 9: after the hour, we'll start to show up with the
- 13:40Speaker 9: nephew and run that prank back right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 10: You're listening hard Morning show.
- 13:46Speaker 9: It is time now to start your morning off with
- 13:48Speaker 9: run that prank back and the nephew.
- 13:50Speaker 1: What you got, nephew, Look.
- 13:52Speaker 2: At the time already, it's time to be stupid.
- 13:55Speaker 8: Okay, ladies and gentlemen, parasites, parasites cat all.
- 14:01Speaker 1: If you hello.

- 14:11Speaker 4: I'm hey, I'm okay. Listen. You actually came in, uh
- 14:16Speaker 4: maybe like two and a half weeks to go here
- 14:18Speaker 4: to my office and got a physical for for life insurance.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, right.
- 14:22Speaker 11: Right, yeah, everything okay.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Uh well yeah, yeah, everything's gonna be pretty good. I'd
- 14:26Speaker 4: like to see if I can get you to come

- 14:34Speaker 4: uh you know, right now, you're not approved for your
- 14:37Speaker 4: life insurance due until this procedure is done. So if
- 14:40Speaker 4: you don't mind coming in. We'd like to get you
- 14:43Speaker 4: taking care of When can I schedule you to come
- 14:45Speaker 4: in like, uh, maybe tomorrow or the following day?
- 14:48Speaker 11: Yeah, what kind of procedure is?
- 14:50Speaker 4: Well? Actually, I don't know if you've heard of it.
- 14:51Speaker 4: This is an okay, astromy.
- 14:53Speaker 11: Nah, I got something?
- 14:55Speaker 4: That's what's so? Some dude? You want now some do
- 15:00Speaker 4: in my eyes? Hang on? What's this? No? No, has
- 15:03Speaker 4: nothing to do with the eyes. No, nothing at all.
- 15:06Speaker 4: We found a little bit of parasites in a particular area,
- 15:10Speaker 4: and what we want to do is make sure we
- 15:12Speaker 4: just remove it completely and you'll be fine. You'll get
- 15:16Speaker 4: your life in feriance, you and your family will be great.
- 15:18Speaker 4: So can I get you to come in tomorrow? Maybe
- 15:20Speaker 4: Thursday afternoon? As? Wow? What what area? I found? The
- 15:24Speaker 4: parasite is actually one of your testicles has some parasites.
- 15:28Speaker 4: So what we're gonna do is what's called a okostrom
- 15:31Speaker 4: and okom is actually removing that testicle completely and then
- 15:35Speaker 4: everything will be fine. It's all confined and we'll be
- 15:39Speaker 4: able to remove it. You'll be on your way, you'll
- 15:40Speaker 4: get your life in surance and everything will be fine. Okay,
- 15:43Speaker 4: Like I said, can I get can I can I
- 15:44Speaker 4: get you to come in tomorrow? What are you gonna tacle? Well?
- 15:50Speaker 4: Only one, only one, and it's not gonna take long.
- 15:52Speaker 4: It's a thirty minute procedure. But we want to get
- 15:54Speaker 4: you to come in tomorrow or the next day and
- 15:56Speaker 4: we get you to go. Whether are you available? We
- 16:00Speaker 4: want it for a routine stud How I gotta remove
- 16:02Speaker 4: with test sir? You know what, oftentimes when people come
- 16:05Speaker 4: in with life insurance, these type of things happen. So
- 16:08Speaker 4: we want to get you in and get it out
- 16:10Speaker 4: as quickly as possible.
- 16:12Speaker 11: Nah man, I'm waiting for a routine physical. Maybe I
- 16:14Speaker 11: wasn't supposed to be taking all this extra stuff. Now
- 16:17Speaker 11: I get a parent site. Man in my testical y'all
- 16:19Speaker 11: don't remove a testicle. Man, I'm twenty.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Five men and my wife, I know kids trying to do.
- 16:24Speaker 4: I gotta move a testicle. Let me say this to you, Brian,
- 16:26Speaker 4: You're gonna be completely fine. You'll be able to create children.
- 16:29Speaker 4: You'll be able to live a normal life. You know,
- 16:31Speaker 4: you'll just see you won't have all of them, but
- 16:34Speaker 4: you'll have enough to create children.
- 16:36Speaker 11: You understand that, Nah man, I can't no, I ain't
- 16:39Speaker 11: gonna I can't come in for that.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Noah, sir, is there any way I can get you

- 16:50Speaker 4: that people can get the life insurance papers together and
- 16:53Speaker 4: so forth.
- 16:53Speaker 11: Nah, man, Man, we ain't rescheduled now. I need to
- 16:57Speaker 11: take in a third opinion on that. He's talking about
- 16:59Speaker 11: taking one of my We ain't rescheduling nothing, man, I'm
- 17:02Speaker 11: gonna need to see another doctor. Man, it's some sir.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Sir, you can go around the entire city and see
- 17:07Speaker 4: several doctors. I'm going to tell you you're just gonna
- 17:09Speaker 4: be wasting time. I'm going to try to knock this
- 17:12Speaker 4: thing out for you.
- 17:13Speaker 11: Knock it up.
- 17:14Speaker 4: I ain't agreed to nothing, listen, Yeah, I just doing
- 17:17Speaker 4: this to get money. Medicine scheduling, nothing.
- 17:19Speaker 11: Man, I need to take a third pity.
- 17:21Speaker 4: It's blubal Brian. I'll tell you if you come in
- 17:24Speaker 4: and let me get this thing taken care of, you know,
- 17:26Speaker 4: I'll have you back. You know, big ball and shot
- 17:29Speaker 4: calling before it's all over. You know what's big big
- 17:32Speaker 4: ball that shot call it? Man.
- 17:34Speaker 11: I told you, man, I ain't going in for none
- 17:36Speaker 11: of that. Man, I'm supposed to tell my wife. Man,
- 17:37Speaker 11: this this ain't cool. Man, I ain't going in for that.

- 53:20Speaker 9: his third wife, but I felt the same connection to him,
- 53:24Speaker 9: so I agreed to marry him. Only five people came
- 53:27Speaker 9: to our wedding, and they were all my family. None
- 53:30Speaker 9: of his children or family members came. My two daughters
- 53:34Speaker 9: thought we were rushing into this since I had only
- 53:37Speaker 9: known him for eight months, and I told him how
- 53:40Speaker 9: they felt, and he snapped back and said, my grown
- 53:42Speaker 9: daughters need to stay out of our business. On our
- 53:45Speaker 9: wedding night, we had sex and it was just okay,
- 53:49Speaker 9: so I figured it would get better with time. It
- 53:51Speaker 9: has not, because we haven't had sex since we got
- 53:54Speaker 9: married three months ago. He does not go to church anymore,
- 53:58Speaker 9: and on Sunday mornings he goes to the casino with
- 54:01Speaker 9: his brother. When I asked him about wasting money, he
- 54:04Speaker 9: said he has extra money because my house is paid
- 54:07Speaker 9: for and all he has to pay is utilities, so it's.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Not a waste of money.
- 54:12Speaker 9: I asked him why we don't have sex, and he
- 54:15Speaker 9: said it's not a woman's place to do the chasing.
- 54:18Speaker 9: So I need to be patient and let him come
- 54:20Speaker 9: on to me. If I ask him anything, I get
- 54:23Speaker 9: that kind of response, and his mouth is so reckless
- 54:26Speaker 9: that I go for days without talking to him. My
- 54:29Speaker 9: daughters do not like him and think I should get
- 54:31Speaker 9: my marriage annulled. I am not ready to give up
- 54:34Speaker 9: on him. On the bright side. He cooks dinner every
- 54:37Speaker 9: day and he keeps the house clean. We live his roommates,
- 54:40Speaker 9: not his husband and wife. What has happened to the
- 54:43Speaker 9: man I'm married? Well, this is him, This is who
- 54:46Speaker 9: you married. This is who you married. You just weren't
- 54:49Speaker 9: with him long enough to get to know him, to
- 54:52Speaker 9: find out this other part. I know, this is not
- 54:55Speaker 9: what you signed up for. You say you're not ready
- 54:58Speaker 9: to give up on him, but waiting on you say,
- 55:01Speaker 9: he talks to you crazy, He goes to the casino
- 55:04Speaker 9: on Sunday, loses money after only three months, he's already
- 55:07Speaker 9: given up on you and the marriage.
- 55:09Speaker 1: You get no sex.
- 55:11Speaker 9: You're right, and you don't know your husband at all
- 55:14Speaker 9: because you never met him. The guy you met was
- 55:18Speaker 9: a representative who you know, the generous one going to
- 55:21Speaker 9: church with you, you all connected spiritually and all that.
- 55:25Speaker 9: The one who had sex with you one time, and
- 55:28Speaker 9: that was on your wedding night.
- 55:29Speaker 10: You say.
- 55:31Speaker 1: That was all in the beginning. But and he was
- 55:34Speaker 1: definitely not your soulmate. Okay.
- 55:36Speaker 9: I do you think though, maybe you guys moved too fast,
- 55:40Speaker 9: because I think that you were concerned that this was
- 55:43Speaker 9: your second marriage.
- 55:45Speaker 1: This is his third marriage. I think you guys moved
- 55:47Speaker 1: too fast. I'm sure this is not what you want
- 55:50Speaker 1: in a husband.
- 55:51Speaker 9: Cooking and cleaning those are great qualities, great qualities to have,
- 55:55Speaker 9: but since that's all he does, it's definitely not enough
- 55:59Speaker 9: to sustain a marriage or to stay in a marriage.
- 56:03Speaker 9: He's mean to you, he's selfish and controlling, and he
- 56:06Speaker 9: has no regard for what you need. It just sounds
- 56:09Speaker 9: like he married you, I'm gonna say it, because your
- 56:12Speaker 9: house was paid for and all he had to pay
- 56:14Speaker 9: were utility, so he got a scott free financially. I
- 56:18Speaker 9: agree with your daughters who said you should get your
- 56:20Speaker 9: marriage anulled. I think you should get out of this
- 56:24Speaker 9: sham of a marriage just as quickly as you got
- 56:26Speaker 9: in it, because it's going to keep getting worse, and
- 56:30Speaker 9: you're not having sex anyway, and you know he's not
- 56:33Speaker 9: the man you thought you knew anyway, So why waste
- 56:36Speaker 9: more of your time?
- 56:37Speaker 7: Steve, very quick letter to me. You're an older woman,
- 56:45Speaker 7: it's your second marriage. You met your husband, he was
- 56:49Speaker 7: extremely handsome and generous. Well you say he was extremely
- 56:54Speaker 7: handsome and general Well, so something happened. Something happened, now
- 57:00Speaker 7: Glass and got yeah, yeah, he just he he was
- 57:05Speaker 7: extremely handsome. Y'all connected spiritually, and he joined your church.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Y'all.
- 57:12Speaker 7: We didn't court long because he said he knew I
- 57:14Speaker 7: was just so so mate. The moment we met, I
- 57:18Speaker 7: knew things was going too fast because I'm his third wife.
- 57:22Speaker 2: But I felt the same connection to him, so I
- 57:24Speaker 2: agreed to marry him.
- 57:26Speaker 7: Really, okay, we'll check this out. Only five people came
- 57:30Speaker 7: out wedding, and they were all my family. None of
- 57:32Speaker 7: his children or family members came. That's cause they knew,
- 57:37Speaker 7: here we go again. He ain't worth for damn nowhere,
- 57:42Speaker 7: so here we go again. Okay, so now that's the
- 57:46Speaker 7: end of that. You you, you, you done got this wedding.
- 57:49Speaker 7: Five people came, all of your family. Then your two
- 57:53Speaker 7: daughters thought y'all was rushing into it since you only
- 57:57Speaker 7: knew him for eight months. I told him how they felt.
- 58:00Speaker 7: He snapped back and said, your grown daughters need to
- 58:02Speaker 7: stay out of our business. Oh he touchy too, so
- 58:05Speaker 7: he fast moving.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He ain't handsome no more, and.
- 58:13Speaker 7: There ain't nobody in his family either bothered coming to
- 58:16Speaker 7: THEO to the wedding, and now he touches.
- 58:20Speaker 2: I don't see nothing good in this letter at all.
- 58:25Speaker 7: On our weddnight, we had sex and it was just okay,
- 58:30Speaker 7: all right, And then you figured it would get better
- 58:33Speaker 7: with time. It has not, because we ain't had sex
- 58:36Speaker 7: since we got married three months ago. What and he
- 58:43Speaker 7: don't go to church anymore? Well, he just joined the
- 58:46Speaker 7: church to make to make a good showing. On Sunday morning,
- 58:50Speaker 7: he go to the casino with his brother. When I
- 58:52Speaker 7: asked him about wasting money, he said, he has extra
- 58:55Speaker 7: money because my house is paying for and all he
- 58:57Speaker 7: has to do is pay utility.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Wow, he played. He's straight cold plage.
- 59:05Speaker 7: So he got extra money because his money his money,
- 59:07Speaker 7: y'all's money, ain't y'all's money.
- 59:09Speaker 2: I'll be.
- 59:11Speaker 9: We'll have part two of your response coming up in
- 59:13Speaker 9: twenty three minutes after the our subject today, I don't
- 59:17Speaker 9: know my husband at all.
- 59:19Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 59:23Speaker 1: hard morning show.
- 59:25Speaker 9: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 59:27Speaker 9: The subject I don't know my husband at all?
- 59:31Speaker 7: Well, you don't because you rushed into it like your
- 59:35Speaker 7: daughters thought you did, and like you realize you did,
- 59:38Speaker 7: and you said you thought it might be moving fast.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Because this was his third marriage. He used to be handsome.
- 59:45Speaker 2: He ain't no more.
- 59:46Speaker 7: Ain't but five people come to the wed and they
- 59:49Speaker 7: was all your family, his kids, and nobody else showed up.
- 59:52Speaker 7: He ain't even tell nobody. Then, you've only known it
- 59:57Speaker 7: for eight months. Ain't nobody come to the because they
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: knew he wasn't about nothing. Then you told him that
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: your daughters thought they ran into it too quick. He
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: said they need to mind their own bis. Is he
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: touchy on you wed? Not y'all had sex? He was
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: just okay, So I figured it would get better with time.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: Is not because y'all ain't had sex since we got
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: married three months ago? You might not be the only
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: one thought it was just okay. Then I just wanted
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: to throw that out there, but it probably it got
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: nothing to do with you, though it looks like to me, ma'am,
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: you just married the wrong guy. He does not go
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: to church anymore. That's because he just joined your church
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: to make it look good. On Sunday morning, he goes
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: to the casino with his brother. When I asked him
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: about wasting money, he said, he's got extra money because
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: my house is paid for and all he has to
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: do is pay utilities what? So he made this own
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: arrangement himself. So in the eight months where you didn't
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: get to know him, he found out everything he needed
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: to know about you.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: And one of the things he found out your house
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: was paid so now, so it's not a waste of money.
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: I asked him why we don't have sex, and he
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: said it's not a woman's place to do the chasing.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: So I need to be patient. Let him come on
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: to me.
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: But it's been ninety days. When I created the ninety
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: day rule in my book, it wasn't for people who
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: was maby.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: You can go ahead half six now do this ain't
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: the place for the ninety day rules.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Okay, Steve, I got a question. Okay, she says on
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: the bright side, Yeah, you got it. You gotta get
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: to that.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Let me.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: And keep the house clean.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: It's kind of a response to mouths. Records go for days.
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: I talked to my daughters. Don't like him. I think
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: I should get my marriage to know. Shirley said, you
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: should get in an old I agree. I'm not ready
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: to give up on him.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Well that's a stupid statement, because he gave up on
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: you yeah.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: On the bright side, he cooks dinner every day and
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: he keeps the house clean.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: So damn what he cooked it every day, ain't you.
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: Ain't like he's making plates for you and the people,
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: the homeless people in the neighborhood.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: He eating, He like cooking, and he like a clean house.
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: He don't like sex with you. He don't like going
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: to church. He don't like talking to you with respect.
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: He don't like your daughters.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: He doesn't like his family.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: He don't like his family. His family don't like him.
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: He don't really want to be married. He don't like
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: nobody but the casino.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: And his brother.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: His brother didn't come to the waiting.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: That he go gambling with. It's just a lot right now.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Man, Why did you tell him your house was paid for.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Less? Wow?
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: So he does pay utilities, cook and clean.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: The game.
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: If I was you, i'd get your marriage to know
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: like your daughter said, yeah, get it or no, they
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: don't even count as a marriage, and walk off and
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: put him out.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: And you ain't lost nothing. Ain't nothing lost right now?
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: You ain't that you ain't ready to give up on it?
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: You should be.
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: He gave up I mean he threw yeah, he got
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: out rolled all over him, and how you gonna see
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: it is beyond me.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: I'm out, Lady, you ain't gotta take this here.
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: You could do this by your See, you thought you
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: had a soul mate because he said I knew used
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: my soulmate. The moment you member that, this is how
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: he treats a soul mate. I don't want to be
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: that type soul man. Right right, man, I'll tell you what.
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: Don't call me so made, call me stranger, right right?
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: He about her daughter's crazy.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Man, this dude is a complete wasting time, lady, Come
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: on about your bish real because he used to be handsome, remember.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: And generous? Oh boy, he so stingy and ugly now.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Steve, Yeah, he did just enough to get you.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Now, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: Heive, wow, I don't want apologize to some low down
- 1:04:40Speaker 9: ass dudes out here.
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: All that's but that's why I.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: Say, Man, you've got to take your time to get
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: to know these people instead of falling in love with
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: their representative the first thirty days. You're gonna get the
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: best him he can be if you just wait. If
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: you'd have waited out, you could have found all this out.
- 1:05:00Speaker 9: Because she's an older woman. You know, sometimes she she
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: may have gotten anxious thinking she wasn't going to find
- 1:05:06Speaker 9: anyone else, you know, and all that.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Nobody.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, that's true.
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: So just let him go get that annment like your
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: daughter's say, please get the lady business.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Steve, thank you.
- 1:05:23Speaker 9: Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letters Steve HARBFM on
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand.
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: All right, guys, uh, it is time for ask Steve.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: We have a question.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Yeah, now listen to this. Yeah, a A one question one?
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: Oh yeah, yeah, Well this is from a twenty two
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: year old and his name is also Steve, your namesake.
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: He says, Hi, mister Harvey, I work full time and
- 1:05:54Speaker 9: I'm currently in school to become a psychiatric mental health nurse.
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: My faith is wrong and I know that with God
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: anything is possible. So my question to you is, on
- 1:06:05Speaker 9: your path to become an entertainer, did you ever doubt yourself,
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: think your dream was too big, or think about giving up?
- 1:06:12Speaker 9: And how did you strengthen your connection to God and
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: never lose hope that your prayers and hard work would
- 1:06:18Speaker 9: pay off.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: That's a great question.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: Well, you know, look, no matter who you are, we're human,
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: and you're gonna have moments of doubt because it's so
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: difficult to make a success of yourself. So there's gonna
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: be times. Man, what you're gonna be faced with? The
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: man that I make the right move? Man?
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: It's this working man? Ever, is it gonna change? Is
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: it gonna get better? I mean, you know I'm living
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: in that calm I'm going Man, Is it gonna get better?
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Man?
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Did I make the right move? Man? Should I go
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: back home?
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Man?
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: I mean, you know you're gonna have doubts along the way.
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: Sometimes you're gonna doubt it. Or let me say it
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: to you this way. It's going to be so daunting
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: at times that you're going to be faced with some
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: things that appear to be insurmountable.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: But here's what I always had to do.
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: Whenever I got to moments like that, I thought of
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: the ultimate dream that I had for myself and my family.
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: What am I really shooting for? And I think what
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: people have to do is you have to be conscious
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: of the size of your dreams. You have to have
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: dreams so big that not getting your dream is unacceptable
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: because the consequence, the alternative, the alternative to not receiving
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: your dreams is unacceptable. And you've just got to dream
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: so big that your dreams are bigger than whatever problem
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: you're having. So dreaming big is not the problem, because
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: God is all out there in them big dreams to
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: make your dream come true.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Business.
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: So I want you to just state you have to
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: stay prayerful man, throughout the journey. Oh, prayer changes things,
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: and prayer gives you a relationship with your creator that
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: allows you to have the strength that you don't have
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: in your weakest moment, allows you to be your strongest
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: because it connects you closer to him. Your weakness is
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: where He gives you the strength.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Hey, man, go ahead, All writes Steve.
- 1:08:26Speaker 10: You're listening hard morning show.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Well, Steve, this one's for you. This one's from Derek
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: on Facebook.
- 1:08:34Speaker 9: He writes, I'm finally starting dating again after a divorce
- 1:08:38Speaker 9: and two years off. These days, I share custody of
- 1:08:41Speaker 9: my daughter with my wife, and I have my little girl,
- 1:08:44Speaker 9: Kelsey over every other weekend. The downside is that I
- 1:08:48Speaker 9: made the mistake of introducing the woman I've been seeing
- 1:08:51Speaker 9: to my daughter and have regretted it ever since. Even
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: though she's not a parent and has only known my
- 1:08:58Speaker 9: daughter for less than a month, she somehow got the
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: idea in her head that she has the right to
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: punish and discipline Kelsey when she comes over. It's led
- 1:09:08Speaker 9: to some uncomfortable moments and it needs to stop. Is
- 1:09:12Speaker 9: this the relationship killer that I think it is? The
- 1:09:15Speaker 9: relationship with my little girl is far more important, and
- 1:09:18Speaker 9: there's a line that's going to be crossed if I
- 1:09:21Speaker 9: don't control it.
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: Yeah, just a deal, brother, This is bad, especially if
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: she don't understand that. You better and if the mama
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: find it right, Mama dudema. Man, it's not good, brcause
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: I'm a little stunned anyway. What you finally started dating
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: after your divorce and waited two years? Who you do that?
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: I'm not really sure that's the truth, bro, because me
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: and we don't wait two years to date.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: That's not who we are, even if you have a
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: little girl to raise.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Maybe he was concentrating on his baby there, no, no.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: No, she got to go to sleep though, somebody coming

- 1:10:48Speaker 1: But Daddy, I'm not sleepy.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: I didn't ask you if you sleep, I said go
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: to bed, and I don't give it. Damn what you're
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: doing now, Daddy?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I need some help with my homework.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: I don't know nothing about that damn homework. I got
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: somebody coming over here. We can get to f We
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: can deal with the f.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: You want me to fail?
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Are you helping Derek? He needs your help here, Steve?
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: What? What? What? He won't?
- 1:11:22Speaker 11: Shall?
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: He wants to know? Is this a relationship killer that
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: he thinks it is?
- 1:11:28Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: Okay, so he should do she discipline in his baby
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: and dog.
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: You got to get some permissions. You've only been around
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: for one month and you're talking about she gonna cross
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: the line. You already know what it's going broad.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: That woman whooped, whooped back cow.
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: All right, here's another one, another relationship question from Tracy
- 1:11:57Speaker 9: Steve uh.
- 1:11:58Speaker 10: This is from Steve.
- 1:11:59Speaker 9: Steve har It's been over two years since I was
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: in a relationship. I have a pretty active social life.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: I meet lots of new people, but I just don't
- 1:12:06Speaker 9: ever seem to meet anyone that I'm particularly attracted to.
- 1:12:11Speaker 9: I'm afraid that I'm going to spend the rest of
- 1:12:13Speaker 9: my life alone. Is there something wrong with me? Should
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: I be doing something different?
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: First of all, why don't you quit putting that in
- 1:12:19Speaker 7: the atmosphere that is something wrong with you? Am I
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: doing something wrong? I'm socially in f Why don't you
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: stop saying that. It's been two years of you saying that,
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: and so you keep attracting the wrong people, and you
- 1:12:38Speaker 7: keep claiming that you're socially in f and so you
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: keep winding up in the same situation.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Positive affirmation is the first thing.
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: You need to do.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: I like that step every day in every way. I'm
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: getting better and better.
- 1:12:55Speaker 9: All right, thank you, that was good. Coming up at
- 1:12:57Speaker 9: twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of the
- 1:13:00Speaker 9: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: All right, so Steve our last break, we were talking
- 1:13:11Speaker 9: trying to help Tracy, who said, you know, she's it's
- 1:13:14Speaker 9: been two years since she's been in a relationship.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: She has a pretty active social life.
- 1:13:18Speaker 9: She meets new people, but she doesn't ever meet anyone
- 1:13:22Speaker 9: that she's interested in. And she's asking herself, is there
- 1:13:25Speaker 9: something wrong with her? Should she be doing something different?
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: And you said, don't put that out in the atmosphere first,
- 1:13:32Speaker 9: what you know.
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: Like, is this something wrong with her? I think only
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: she can answer that question. But now, what a lot
- 1:13:39Speaker 7: of the mistake a lot of women do is they
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: listen to other people talking about girl, you too picky
- 1:13:44Speaker 7: and all that is here.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: And there's no such thing as being too.
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: Picky unless you're underqualified for the things that a man
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: has to be qualified for. See, if you're looking for
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: a man that's all that. Then I hate to tell
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: you these ladies, but you need to be all that.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Too, right, that's a huge part of it.
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: And a lot of times you go in here and
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: you dump all this on this man, but then the
- 1:14:08Speaker 7: man want something dumped on him too. And if you're
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: not gonna be what you're looking for what do you
- 1:14:15Speaker 7: think a man who has all that is? Y'all think
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: we just out here because you got some lashes on.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: That's what you think.
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: If you watch the African Famous and Rich. You've seen
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: that show? Uh huh, yes, I don't know how they
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: open their eyes with them that show.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Heavy lids.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Man, you touch your eyebrow? Went your dad?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Fun coming up in thirty three minutes?
- 1:14:44Speaker 10: Thank you, Steve.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Thirty three minutes after the our, we'll play around him.
- 1:14:48Speaker 9: Would you rather right after this you're listening hard morning
- 1:14:53Speaker 9: show and it's time out for a rounded? Would you rather, guys,
- 1:14:56Speaker 9: would you rather have your areola pear okay? Or yeah
- 1:15:03Speaker 9: your ario appears? Or would you rather have a tattoo
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: inside your lip?
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Which one you think would be?
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: What is it?
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Your oratory? That's yeah, tattoo? Yeah? Any idea how long
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: that will take?
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: No? No, you know.
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: So much we're gonna have to use, yes, a lot.
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: You know how so much we can put on here
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: all week? You get your test, Pierce though, Now I
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: can put Psalms twenty third songs on my lip.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: The Lord is my Spherd, truly, goodness and mercy.
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: All.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: You know how much lip that ill you how much
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: lip I got if I pull it down?
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Boy, let me tell you, okay, so definitely your area
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: will be pierced.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: All right. I was a little boy. This how I
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: knew I had a big lips. I was a little boy.
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: You know how you hang your head out the car
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: when it's driving sometime, and it normally just take y'all's
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: breath away. I almost got smothered because my lips went
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: back up over my nose.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: And I almost got smothered like that. Yeah, I can
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: see it. Yeah, all right.
- 1:16:42Speaker 9: Would you rather have your wife ignore you for three days?
- 1:16:46Speaker 9: Or would you rather have your wife? You and your
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: wife argue for three days?
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Ignore, I ignore me.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I don't like the silent treatment either.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Ignore both of them and extend that three for me.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: You take six days, I take five hundred.
- 1:17:11Speaker 12: All right?
- 1:17:12Speaker 9: Would you rather take cold showers every day or warm
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: bubble bats just twice a week?
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Warm bubble baths twice a week? Yeah, you little funk yourself?
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: Yes, I mean you look, yeah, you and you always
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: talking about how clean you you're going in there?
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Take that cold shower, you will, I'm gonna take them.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna take health. One thing about me.
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: There's nobody, nobody ever said Steve Harvey, Steak.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: If you get down of these two days, you're gonna
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: stay that.
- 1:17:43Speaker 7: I want, well whatever you to be a first wash,
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: You'll be a first But I'm not gonna be in
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: that cold shower because how long you think I can
- 1:17:52Speaker 7: do this?
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: Here?
- 1:17:53Speaker 9: They say cold showers are good for you though. Who yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:00Speaker 9: good for information all that.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: All right, that's today's roundup. Would you rather.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: When we come back, is.
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: Our last break of the day, and we'll have some
- 1:18:10Speaker 9: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Parky.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening.
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: Morning show.
- 1:18:18Speaker 9: Here we are, last break of the day, last break
- 1:18:20Speaker 9: of the day, with just one more thing, Steve, I'm
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: glad for one. I think we all are that your
- 1:18:25Speaker 9: closing remarks are back. Yeah, they're always inspirational. You always
- 1:18:29Speaker 9: motivate us to do something.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Really, I was just.
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: Now I don't want to sound you know, but anyway,
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: what I was just asking God, what could I do more?
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: What what could I do?
- 1:18:43Speaker 7: And it was just put on my heart to share more,
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: you know, start take a moment out at the beginning
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: and the close of the show and just try to
- 1:18:51Speaker 7: encourage more people. You know, I've learned so much over
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: the years. Uh, you know, I've had a tough goal
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: of it as many of you have. Mine animal rich
- 1:19:01Speaker 7: or deep it than nobody else's. So I just try
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: to share the information that I've actually learned, because I've
- 1:19:08Speaker 7: learned a lot.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: And one of the things that I've learned is about
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: when to start.
- 1:19:15Speaker 7: You know, whenever you come up with an idea or
- 1:19:17Speaker 7: a thought or move you want to make, or something
- 1:19:21Speaker 7: comes from your imagination. The thing that I find that
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: stops people oftentimes is when do I start? Now Here's
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: the thing with starting. What people do is they delay
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: the start by overthinking it. And if you overthink something,
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: guess what will eventually and you over explain it to
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: other people.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Eventually the how it won't work, it's going to come up.
- 1:19:54Speaker 7: So you have this fabulous idea that you've thought of, right,
- 1:19:57Speaker 7: and then you shared with some people and he say, man,
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: I'm gonna go do this, and you start talking it
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: over and you start thinking it through and you share
- 1:20:03Speaker 7: it with more people. The more people you share with
- 1:20:06Speaker 7: and the more people you and the more you think
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: it through. You know what you keep coming up with
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: the mishaps, the things that can go wrong, and you
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: end up delaying the start. The other thing that happens
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: is people try to line all they ducks up in
- 1:20:21Speaker 7: a row before they start so they can just go
- 1:20:23Speaker 7: on and start knocking them down. That's a mistake because
- 1:20:28Speaker 7: that almost never ever happens. I have yet to see
- 1:20:32Speaker 7: any deal I've ever done, any project i've started go
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: just the way I thought it was gonna go.
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: I have never seen that.
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: I have yet to close a deal that just went smoothly,
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: no wrinkles, no bumps, no nothing.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: I've never seen that.
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: So when you're waiting to start and then that they
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: say is hit and you're waiting to start to get
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: your ducks lined the row, you're delaying the process.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: You know when the best time to start is.
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: Right now, because right now alleviates procrastination. If you wait
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: on the ducks to get lined up in the role
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: and you're listening to the naysayers, procrastination has already set
- 1:21:22Speaker 7: in and taken place, and oftentimes it takes hold. So
- 1:21:27Speaker 7: what I found is when I come up with the idea,
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: I start the process. Now, I start the process.
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: Look, man, you can easily do that it's simple things.
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: What stops people is you try to figure out all
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: the way through. You have this goal that you got
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: and you say, okay, I'm gonna do this. Then if
- 1:21:47Speaker 7: I do that, then if I do that, and then
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: you get stuck because you go, well what happens after that?
- 1:21:52Speaker 7: Because you've never been in that area before, you've never
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: gone down that road, so the unknown strikes you. And
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: then because you can't figure out what you do when
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: you get to the unknown, you stop. So now you
- 1:22:03Speaker 7: couldn't line up all your ducks in a row, so
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: the process to success is delayed.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Again. Stop doing that to yourself, y'all start now, do
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: it now. What you have to do next.
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: Will be shown to you. It'll your first step will
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: lead you to the stat second step. Now, sometimes on
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: your journey you make a bad turn. You gotta make
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: a U turn and come back and cross over the
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: other bridge instead of going that way. But until you
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: take one step, you'll never know where the next turn is.
- 1:22:35Speaker 7: If it's a fork in the road, if it's a
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: U turn, if it's a being, if it's a valley,
- 1:22:38Speaker 7: if it's a mountain, you gotta start today. Stop delaying it.
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: Everybody whatever it is you want to do, start today.
- 1:22:46Speaker 7: You may be surprised that you can actually get yourself
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: further than you thought you could with nobody else's help. Now,
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: in order to be successful, you're gonna need somebody's help
- 1:23:00Speaker 7: to start. Oftentimes you just need yourself start the process.
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: God will show you the way. He really will. He
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: always has. I say this often to people. God will
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: get you through.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: For though. Everybody's listening right now.
- 1:23:21Speaker 7: Name one thing that God hasn't gotten you through, And
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: if he hasn't gotten you through it, he's currently pulling
- 1:23:29Speaker 7: you through it right now. And you know how I
- 1:23:32Speaker 7: know because you're listening to the radio. How you listening
- 1:23:37Speaker 7: to the radio. It's because he's pulling you through something
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: right now. He's gotten you through all the other stuff,
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: but he's pulling you through right now. If you start
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: the process, God will pull you through. But you'll never
- 1:23:55Speaker 7: know until you start. Start Start something right. Don't participate
- 1:24:01Speaker 7: in no mess this year. Stay out of mess. You
- 1:24:05Speaker 7: know what mess is.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: Mess looks like, it ain't right, it don't feel good,
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: it don't sound good. It's mess. Stay out of mess
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: this year.
