- 0:00Speaker 1: My next quest, who's sitting next to me? Uh? Saw
- 0:02Speaker 1: me in that you know what I call that that
- 0:04Speaker 1: war torn that war torn period when I was out
- 0:06Speaker 1: there just griding, just griding. And when I said grinding,
- 0:10Speaker 1: Uh saw him do comedy in Chicago, and again when
- 0:13Speaker 1: you see doing the BT Comedy View Tour, Comic View Tour,
- 0:17Speaker 1: and uh, you know, just go back a little bit
- 0:19Speaker 1: like their scars. Was an audience or a warm up
- 0:21Speaker 1: person very true Ray deal personality, a writer, full flared
- 0:26Speaker 1: professional stand up comedy. I'm touching him to Uh. He's
- 0:31Speaker 1: on the show. Today discussed hosting the tenth annual Bronze
- 0:35Speaker 1: Lens Awards show, and many other career plans. Please welcome
- 0:38Speaker 1: to money making conversations, Rodney Perry. I must be making
- 0:42Speaker 1: money man. I love it. Man. First of all, thank
- 0:45Speaker 1: you for having me on. Man. You you know you
- 0:47Speaker 1: said some real interesting balance man, And I think you know,
- 0:51Speaker 1: as guys like you and I had had like traumatic
- 0:55Speaker 1: health things that that really wake you up to balance.
- 0:59Speaker 1: When you when you're laying in the hospital bed and
- 1:02Speaker 1: you look around and you see who's really there, it
- 1:04Speaker 1: makes you go wow. So I've been working, I've been
- 1:07Speaker 1: grinding I've been trying to get way out there to
- 1:09Speaker 1: that thing. But the reality is the people around you
- 1:12Speaker 1: is a success. The people around you, people that really
- 1:16Speaker 1: really care, to the five or six or eight or
- 1:19Speaker 1: nine people that that really matter. And you know we
- 1:22Speaker 1: were in through all with social media and all that
- 1:24Speaker 1: stuff and and again making it, making it, making it.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, you can still have those goals,
- 1:29Speaker 1: but the people that matter matter right right, and you
- 1:34Speaker 1: have to matter. That's the key. And that I said
- 1:36Speaker 1: you talked about the traumatic physical because we all think
- 1:40Speaker 1: we are immortal timeline. When it's your stop and when
- 1:44Speaker 1: it when it when it comes to you, like my
- 1:46Speaker 1: my version was thorough cancer. When it was announced, doctor
- 1:49Speaker 1: told me, I can assure everybody. Once somebody tells you
- 1:52Speaker 1: the word, the cancer word to you, just shut down
- 1:55Speaker 1: your whole mind process because because I don't care where
- 1:57Speaker 1: we are, you think that you think that there's a
- 1:59Speaker 1: there's why. First of all, the why me immediately jumps
- 2:02Speaker 1: into you absolutely and then you start. And it's what
- 2:05Speaker 1: it allowed me to do, was allowed me to make
- 2:07Speaker 1: an assessment of where I was in my life and
- 2:09Speaker 1: where I can go. Fortunately for me, my cancer isn't remission.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And but that doesn't mean that it can't come back. Word,
- 2:16Speaker 1: that's what remission means. It can't come back. And so
- 2:20Speaker 1: it might be on another mission. Absolutely. And so when
- 2:23Speaker 1: it was affecting you, what part of your life did
- 2:26Speaker 1: you take in perspective, as far as the career that
- 2:29Speaker 1: you had built up to that point, I mean, you
- 2:31Speaker 1: take it on perspective. My my tramatic health scare was
- 2:35Speaker 1: a stroke. I had a stroke. So I'm on the
- 2:37Speaker 1: road Denver, Colorado. I'm telling jokes and I talked to
- 2:42Speaker 1: my my buddy, Joey Wells, and he was telling about
- 2:45Speaker 1: another friend of ours that I had a stroke, young
- 2:47Speaker 1: lady named Mickey Gordon. And he was telling me what
- 2:50Speaker 1: had happened. And as he was telling me her symptoms,
- 2:53Speaker 1: in my mind was like, yo, I feel like that
- 2:55Speaker 1: right now. Wow. And so as we were talking, I
- 2:58Speaker 1: was like, yo, man, I'm really not feeling good. I'm
- 3:00Speaker 1: on the road. I'm in a hotel room, Denver, Colorado,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and uh so I went across the street to Walmart.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I stuck my arm in the sleeve. My blood pressure
- 3:09Speaker 1: was too twenty one over one forty. This is how
- 3:12Speaker 1: stupid your boy. I still gonna do two shows that
- 3:17Speaker 1: I got. I got an obligations to do my do
- 3:19Speaker 1: my job. So forget how I'm feeling this. This is
- 3:22Speaker 1: how misguided I was. You know, in relationship what you
- 3:27Speaker 1: started balance. So I was so singularly minded hitting that stage.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I even I even remember having this thoughts. I remember
- 3:35Speaker 1: saying to myself, if I die, I wanted downstage right.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And I had given that thought. Not not thought of
- 3:42Speaker 1: my family and I thought of what it would be
- 3:43Speaker 1: like to lose a father, a husband, a friend. I
- 3:48Speaker 1: don't even think about that. I was thinking about comedy.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And so even in those dire moments, and so um
- 3:55Speaker 1: I went to the emergency room after the shows that night,
- 3:57Speaker 1: shook hands, you know, took pictures on this stuff. What
- 4:00Speaker 1: the emercy from? You're in a hurry to get there?
- 4:06Speaker 1: In my mind they would they were lower my pressure
- 4:08Speaker 1: and send me home. I walked into the emergency room,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I was in. I see you for the next eight days.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I spent the next forty years old days in rehab,
- 4:20Speaker 1: learning how to walk again, learn how to use my
- 4:22Speaker 1: left hand again. My my stroke happened on my left side.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So basically, what happens your brain stops talking to that
- 4:28Speaker 1: side of your body. And so I was never in pain,
- 4:31Speaker 1: but I felt all those feelings. I felt the why me?
- 4:34Speaker 1: And you know, a guy kept telling me is why
- 4:36Speaker 1: not you? Why not you? Why not you be the
- 4:40Speaker 1: one to get to tell his story? And so you
- 4:43Speaker 1: go through the whole mental thing. I mean, I mean,
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna stand up coming again. I cannot stand.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I literally cannot stand up. I had to learn how
- 4:51Speaker 1: to walk again. I had a little little older my
- 4:53Speaker 1: physical therapies, a little older white lady, and she was
- 4:56Speaker 1: teaching me how to walk. And you know what we
- 4:59Speaker 1: don't realize is people of color. It's stuff in your
- 5:01Speaker 1: walk that ain't textbook right. You know, you gotta heo toe.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to put all this little you know, pivot ball.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You're like, you're gonna fall down if you put one
- 5:11Speaker 1: mode swag. So yeah, but that's that's amazing. So the
- 5:18Speaker 1: thing about is that your story is equally as crazy
- 5:20Speaker 1: as my story. Because I was in denial of my
- 5:22Speaker 1: health situation. I took my time getting to the hospital
- 5:24Speaker 1: and I stayed there thirty days. So I beat your record,
- 5:28Speaker 1: a record of stupidity. Okay, And because of the thing.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But when you when you come back, you're trying to
- 5:33Speaker 1: play catch out. Yeah, that's what I was done, just
- 5:35Speaker 1: trying to play catch Frank. I didn't want to lose,
- 5:37Speaker 1: you know, because you know, in the industry of the
- 5:39Speaker 1: entertainment industry, out of sight, out of mine, what have
- 5:42Speaker 1: you done for me lately? What have you done for
- 5:43Speaker 1: me lately? And so now we we were on the
- 5:46Speaker 1: show to day to talk about the tenth annual Bronze
- 5:49Speaker 1: Lands of War. If you're hosting Saturday Auts, yeah, I'm excited, man.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I've been a fan of Bronze Lands for some time now.
- 5:58Speaker 1: When you think of of of African American film festivals,
- 6:03Speaker 1: it's it's at the top of the hierarchy as that goes.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You've got a b FF and you've got Bronze Land
- 6:09Speaker 1: and so and Bronze LANs is right here in Atlanta.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And I've been living here in fourteen years. And living
- 6:14Speaker 1: here in Atlanta, you have a sense of history. You
- 6:18Speaker 1: have a sense of the civil rights movement. You have
- 6:21Speaker 1: you you feel that and and what I love about
- 6:24Speaker 1: Atlanta is the things that are are black are dope.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Black owner and there's a lot of black owner operated
- 6:30Speaker 1: businesses things of that nature, and they're they're really nice.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You can go to Chicago, know this, to Chicago or
- 6:36Speaker 1: d C or Baltimore or l A. But you can
- 6:40Speaker 1: see black owned business but they may not be the
- 6:43Speaker 1: as as good or comparable to their white counterparts. And
- 6:47Speaker 1: you see that, you know, in numbers here in Atlanta
- 6:50Speaker 1: and so um to be a part of Bronze Lands
- 6:53Speaker 1: was amazing. They reached out and and I was like,
- 6:55Speaker 1: why y'all have just called me? They went to my agent.
- 6:59Speaker 1: That's that's respect, though, that's what that's respect because it's
- 7:03Speaker 1: called direct. Sometimes a hooker there's always you know, and
- 7:07Speaker 1: then you go, okay, this is a professional moment because
- 7:09Speaker 1: I like that. I like people to call me that nobody.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I go okay, okay, what about the car ride, what
- 7:16Speaker 1: about the red room? What about all? They're all of
- 7:18Speaker 1: a sudden, the business side steps up. That's when they
- 7:20Speaker 1: come through the right representation, you win it and then
- 7:24Speaker 1: everything is in order and in in life or the
- 7:27Speaker 1: helps or the helps. So yeah, So I'll be hosting
- 7:30Speaker 1: this year, and you know, you add Roddey Perry when
- 7:32Speaker 1: you want your stuff. You're an event to be fun, energize,
- 7:36Speaker 1: and energize because I'm gonna get you that. Oh You're
- 7:38Speaker 1: gonna get the energy because that that's your that's your signature,
- 7:41Speaker 1: your stand up energy. That's why I always always admire
- 7:44Speaker 1: people who are like you, because you do comedy I
- 7:48Speaker 1: would never do. And that's not the insult. It's just
- 7:49Speaker 1: that your mind thinks differently. I mean, I could never
- 7:53Speaker 1: put forth the energy you put on stage, but I
- 7:55Speaker 1: had to relearn it, That's what I'm saying. So, so
- 7:59Speaker 1: you know, post I was way less physical because I
- 8:01Speaker 1: just couldn't be that physical. I'm kind of getting back
- 8:04Speaker 1: to that now, but I'm still now. I'm probably you know,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm probably sixty percent of myself as far as what
- 8:11Speaker 1: I used to do physically. But I learned how to
- 8:14Speaker 1: be more verbal. I learned how to use my words better.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'm a better comedian now because absolutely, Like we're here
- 8:19Speaker 1: talking to Rodney Perry, he's a better comedian now because
- 8:21Speaker 1: life chapter on the shows. We're back more talking about
- 8:24Speaker 1: Bron's Lann, but then we gotta talk about the album
- 8:27Speaker 1: book all that good stick good stuff. Don't go nowhere
- 8:30Speaker 1: money making conversations. Hi, this is Roshan McDonald and you're
- 8:34Speaker 1: listening to money making conversations. Uh. In the studio today
- 8:37Speaker 1: as a good friend of mine, comedian, writer, actor, radio
- 8:41Speaker 1: host Rodney Perry, and we talked about in the last
- 8:44Speaker 1: break about overcoming the odds, the physical odds, and we
- 8:47Speaker 1: talked about a little bit about Bronze Lands, and this break,
- 8:49Speaker 1: I want to talk about some of the career plans
- 8:52Speaker 1: that you have coming up. A comedy album. Let's talk
- 8:54Speaker 1: about this goes to the routs. Let's let's go to
- 8:56Speaker 1: how with me? You are not hooked up? Because see,
- 8:59Speaker 1: you're still in the game. And people forget I was
- 9:01Speaker 1: a funny dude. You're still funny. You're like, you never
- 9:04Speaker 1: stopped being funny. Like you may, you may have other
- 9:07Speaker 1: things you do to make money, but you know, I mean,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you never stop being a funny human being. And you know,
- 9:13Speaker 1: I think you can. You can teach a lot of
- 9:15Speaker 1: things that you can't teach funny. You know, you can
- 9:17Speaker 1: write somebody a joke and they can't deliver. You're you're right,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and so you know, I mean, you give me opportunities
- 9:27Speaker 1: over the years, you know, And I write about my book.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I got a new book out. Its on Amazon, Bards
- 9:32Speaker 1: Rodney Perry moments on my journey. I write about you
- 9:35Speaker 1: in the book, UM working for you and Steve, and
- 9:39Speaker 1: I tell his great story. And I don't even know
- 9:41Speaker 1: if you you. I know you, you probably knew about it,
- 9:44Speaker 1: but you know you you He was honestly, Richard McDonald
- 9:47Speaker 1: was our supervival. He was like every every Supervilio ever had.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You're like, look, get the work on time, and you're
- 9:54Speaker 1: gonna be here to sink thirty I don't care what
- 9:56Speaker 1: time you finished the quick time. And um, I learned
- 10:01Speaker 1: so many valuable lessons from you, guys man. And and
- 10:04Speaker 1: Steve and I became friends. On the set of Johnson
- 10:07Speaker 1: Family Vacations. We would play Domino every day and I
- 10:11Speaker 1: was completely intimidated by this man. And and I realized,
- 10:15Speaker 1: and I'm a Domino player, absolutely absolutely, I'm a Navy
- 10:18Speaker 1: man I played. I played Domino for eight years, but
- 10:23Speaker 1: I could not beat Steve, and he would beat beat me,
- 10:26Speaker 1: beating me being me and Tommy, but Tommy didn't care.
- 10:28Speaker 1: He would beat me be And it was one day
- 10:31Speaker 1: I decided that he wasn't gonna beat me anymore. And
- 10:34Speaker 1: I went in that day and I was able to
- 10:35Speaker 1: beat him. Not because I was better than him or
- 10:38Speaker 1: he was better than me. It's because in my mind,
- 10:41Speaker 1: in my my had to change my mind because he
- 10:44Speaker 1: was he was more than a man to me, like
- 10:47Speaker 1: he was he was a king of comedy. How dare
- 10:49Speaker 1: I attempt to beat this guy? And when I was
- 10:51Speaker 1: able to change my mind, I was able to overcome
- 10:55Speaker 1: that obstacle. And so that's a metaphor for other things
- 10:58Speaker 1: in your life, like your mind had to change before
- 11:00Speaker 1: you could take a single step towards your goal. Absolutely,
- 11:03Speaker 1: that's important to that. Those are the messages I try
- 11:05Speaker 1: to get out of my gas for money making conversation
- 11:08Speaker 1: because I've a sign says put down that stop side,
- 11:11Speaker 1: just stop sign you're holding up in front of you.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's stopping you from your blessings, from your dream fromities.
- 11:17Speaker 1: You know I say this all the time. You know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I got six kids, and people always talking about the haters.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I got so many haters and hates this, hates it.
- 11:25Speaker 1: But the only hater that's always there is you. You're
- 11:29Speaker 1: kind of your your worst hater. You're always there. How
- 11:33Speaker 1: many times you told yourself and you know I'm gonna
- 11:35Speaker 1: losing weight, and your your inner, your inner voices like
- 11:37Speaker 1: sit your fat, if you know, if you know, you know,
- 11:41Speaker 1: you like cake, you know, and so so those little
- 11:44Speaker 1: things that you gotta deal with that on the internal.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And so I wrote this book. Man, it was a
- 11:48Speaker 1: bucket list item. Uh. I wanted to I wanted to
- 11:52Speaker 1: tell just a snippet up my story. And I wanted
- 11:55Speaker 1: mostly for my kids if they had questions about me,
- 11:58Speaker 1: they was able to look up and go, oh, this
- 12:00Speaker 1: is Dad in his own word. And so I start
- 12:05Speaker 1: from zero, I go up to the point I had
- 12:07Speaker 1: the stroke, while I go a little past my stroke
- 12:09Speaker 1: because I talked about losing my mom and uh, and
- 12:13Speaker 1: and and the book goes at that point in my life,
- 12:15Speaker 1: which happened a couple of years ago. And uh, it's
- 12:18Speaker 1: been really cathartic. Man, is to sit down and really
- 12:22Speaker 1: collect your thoughts and and go back. I had one
- 12:24Speaker 1: one girl like today, she told me, she said, you
- 12:26Speaker 1: you post me? I said, when did I do that?
- 12:29Speaker 1: I completely blocked out because she said no. She said no,
- 12:33Speaker 1: And I could not remember. And and uh, you just
- 12:37Speaker 1: look at little moments in your life. You're like, how
- 12:39Speaker 1: many moments have I let go? Right? How many moment
- 12:42Speaker 1: I let go? So that's a big negative moment. Oh man, man.
- 12:46Speaker 1: She told me that was like in my mind, I'm like,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you're lying, but I just know her and I was like, Yo,
- 12:52Speaker 1: that's that's probably yeah, And it's awesome. There's awesome that
- 13:01Speaker 1: you do. Our mind protect us, our body protectors. But
- 13:04Speaker 1: also it can be a negative because it also can
- 13:06Speaker 1: stop you. It can stop you from believing as simple
- 13:08Speaker 1: as losing weight, as simple as going to going to
- 13:11Speaker 1: another state to take a job opportunity. We stop ourselves
- 13:15Speaker 1: so much and so often that in our opportunities to
- 13:18Speaker 1: be successful. What would you advise somebody who who hits
- 13:21Speaker 1: that negative wall? Uh, well, you just gotta know the
- 13:25Speaker 1: wall that's gonna come. But the thing about the wall
- 13:28Speaker 1: is it's not insurmountable because when you look back on
- 13:31Speaker 1: your life, there's always somebody between you and your goal.
- 13:36Speaker 1: There's always that, that's life. Uh, there's always I tell comedians,
- 13:40Speaker 1: there's always a gatekeeper. There's always somebody standing between you
- 13:43Speaker 1: and the stage. So the question is what are you
- 13:46Speaker 1: willing to do? Are you willing to put in the
- 13:48Speaker 1: work to overcome that obstacle, because that's just a momentary thing,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and once you you understand that this is is this,
- 13:56Speaker 1: this is going to pass. It's a speed bump. It's
- 13:59Speaker 1: not it's not a steel wall. It's a speed bump.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So go over to speed bump. Well, the amazing thing
- 14:05Speaker 1: about this interview is just first of all, you know
- 14:07Speaker 1: you're coming back. I would be on it because first
- 14:09Speaker 1: of all, the the this is just a small part
- 14:12Speaker 1: of who you are. We're just kind of like catching
- 14:14Speaker 1: up because the next time we come back, we're gonna
- 14:16Speaker 1: go up in there. Let's talk about the comedy special
- 14:22Speaker 1: of the live performance, a live album that you're gonna
- 14:24Speaker 1: tape and after date been set, the location been set
- 14:27Speaker 1: for well, well, I already recorded uh here in Atlanta,
- 14:30Speaker 1: Atlantic Comment Theater, the Survivor album which is out on iTunes,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and all of those plumlets right now, and uh what
- 14:38Speaker 1: I wanted to be before. I wasn't in a space
- 14:41Speaker 1: to do a do a video yet, but I wanted
- 14:44Speaker 1: to get the comedy out there anyway. And so the
- 14:46Speaker 1: way I kind of live and move Rashan is that
- 14:50Speaker 1: winning doubt. I get busy right like when when when
- 14:54Speaker 1: I feel kind of at a loss, you know, I
- 14:56Speaker 1: had a couple of deals, you know that was supposed
- 14:58Speaker 1: to happen with radio, and Kevin Harder reached out to me,
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'll be going on serious when we're talking about that,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and that didn't happen. And I was like, Yo, okay, stop,
- 15:07Speaker 1: that didn't happen. That's okay, speedbump, right, Let's get busy,
- 15:10Speaker 1: let's start to create. So I did a comedy album,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I did uh my improv workshop, I did the book,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and so I just got busy. I just begin to work.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And guess what. As I started working, people see the
- 15:21Speaker 1: stuff and they go, oh, I need you, I need
- 15:24Speaker 1: you to do this for me. I need you. I
- 15:26Speaker 1: need to hire you, writing Perry and so work beget work.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So when in doubt, just get busy, get connectic, start
- 15:32Speaker 1: to move Awesome. Here's the thing about what the advice
- 15:35Speaker 1: that you've given and the advice that you've accepted. That's
- 15:37Speaker 1: the key right there. Yeah, I know I'm a victim.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Sometimes I tell everybody and then I'll want to follow
- 15:42Speaker 1: my own advice. Who advised the advisor? Right yeah? And
- 15:45Speaker 1: so so you know that leadership plays that role, and
- 15:48Speaker 1: so you have to learn how to protect yourself. So
- 15:51Speaker 1: the thing about it the improv classes, because I've seen that.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I've seen what they are. They're still going on right now. Yes,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I partnered with de Fast Dustin Fielder Acting Workshop, and
- 16:05Speaker 1: that's been a god saying for me because they handled
- 16:07Speaker 1: my infrastructure and so I can just teach the class.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And so I like that I'm inside of acting studio.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I've been over there. I do it Wednesdays from eight
- 16:16Speaker 1: to ten for six weeks and it culminates in a
- 16:18Speaker 1: live show with my improv group and um and I've
- 16:22Speaker 1: had probably probably three people come through my class in
- 16:26Speaker 1: and around Atlanta, and and we're looking to expand now
- 16:30Speaker 1: and do some things with the Atlanta public schools. And
- 16:35Speaker 1: because improv is a great way to teach kids reading
- 16:38Speaker 1: a man, and so I partnered with my my buddy
- 16:42Speaker 1: Condians Georgia. We're developing that and we're all just developed
- 16:45Speaker 1: another leg of the Next Level brand, the Riding Perry
- 16:49Speaker 1: Next Level brand, which is taking it into businesses for
- 16:53Speaker 1: team building because improv works on so many levels, so
- 16:57Speaker 1: so it's really kind of expanding. I didn't even foresee this,
- 17:01Speaker 1: but again, you get connectic, you start working and things happen.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I love that. I love the fact that you're you're
- 17:07Speaker 1: taking these natural talents. First of all, your background for Chicago,
- 17:11Speaker 1: went to Louisiana, the navy man and in Englewood. All that,
- 17:17Speaker 1: all those journeys shaped you. And the thing that also
- 17:20Speaker 1: means that you your storyteller. That's that's a natural bottom line,
- 17:24Speaker 1: natural gift, your storyteller. But again, setbacks don't stop, you know, sir,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I'm I'm too stupid to stop right successful people, you know.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I mean, I could have easily looked at my peers,
- 17:41Speaker 1: looked at the Kevin Harts of the world, the Cat
- 17:43Speaker 1: Williams of the world. I could have looked at the
- 17:44Speaker 1: people that was around me that that really blew and
- 17:47Speaker 1: went and felt sorry for myself. I was telling my
- 17:49Speaker 1: friend my son the other day, I was like, it's
- 17:52Speaker 1: easy to look at other people, but what what you
- 17:56Speaker 1: have to be able to do is look at yourself
- 17:59Speaker 1: and be thank for for the steps you can make.
- 18:01Speaker 1: When you're lay in the hospital bed and you cannot
- 18:02Speaker 1: make a single step, you have to find a way
- 18:05Speaker 1: to be thankful for that step. That's important to hear
- 18:09Speaker 1: because you know, I'm associated with a lot of those
- 18:11Speaker 1: successful people, and I stopped doing stand up and shorty
- 18:13Speaker 1: manager Steve people go, hey, man, you're just as funny
- 18:15Speaker 1: as this guy. Why aren't you prosuing and developing your career?
- 18:18Speaker 1: That that was my mission? My mission is what I'm
- 18:20Speaker 1: doing right now. I enjoyed my life and I'm happy
- 18:22Speaker 1: with the with the revenue that I that I and
- 18:25Speaker 1: the platforms that I create. So when I look at
