- 2:07Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:11Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show man. God is in
- 2:15Speaker 1: a blessing business. I'm in the receiving line. Man. That's
- 2:20Speaker 1: a good feeling. That's a good feeling. You know. I
- 2:26Speaker 1: thank God for waking me up in the mornings. I
- 2:29Speaker 1: really really do. I thank God for the spirit that
- 2:32Speaker 1: he wakes me up with because I finally, but I
- 2:36Speaker 1: finally figured it out. Such a blessing man, such a
- 2:42Speaker 1: blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. The fact that
- 2:44Speaker 1: you are up today, the fact that you just got
- 2:47Speaker 1: off working, you driving home, the fact that you got
- 2:50Speaker 1: a job to come home from, the fact that you
- 2:53Speaker 1: got a job to wake up too. Whatever it is,
- 2:56Speaker 1: the fact that you can see think here smeil walk, talk, rhyme, reason,
- 3:03Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's a blessing, man, it is a blessing.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And you know, I was talking to a partner of
- 3:10Speaker 1: mine last night and an analogy came to me last
- 3:13Speaker 1: night of what my life has been like. And I
- 3:17Speaker 1: was just going over my story with a friend of
- 3:19Speaker 1: mine of all some of the things I had gone through,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and he never knew it because he said, man, you
- 3:25Speaker 1: never told me that we were just talking. One of
- 3:28Speaker 1: the things I remember, and it's kind of equated to
- 3:32Speaker 1: my life, was when I was a little boy and
- 3:37Speaker 1: she go to the store with my mom and she
- 3:41Speaker 1: would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now, for those
- 3:45Speaker 1: of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in a box that
- 3:48Speaker 1: I know instructions. It just comes in a box and
- 3:53Speaker 1: it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in a
- 3:56Speaker 1: pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces together
- 4:01Speaker 1: until it looks like the picture that's on the cover
- 4:05Speaker 1: of the box. That's as simple as it is. Here
- 4:11Speaker 1: is the deal. I would select a jigsaw puzzle based
- 4:18Speaker 1: on the picture that I liked and if I thought
- 4:25Speaker 1: I could do it now, if the jigsaw puzzle, if
- 4:29Speaker 1: the picture looked too crazy, if it looked too intricate,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I didn't want that puzzle, you know. And the thing was,
- 4:36Speaker 1: back in the day, you got a jigsaw puzzle, you
- 4:39Speaker 1: had a hundred piece puzzles. Four hundred piece puzzles. Man,
- 4:42Speaker 1: then they say a thousand piece puzzle. You go oh.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So those were a little difficult for me when I
- 4:49Speaker 1: was a little boy, so I didn't want that. As
- 4:53Speaker 1: I got a little bit older, I had more challenging puzzles,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you know, four fifty five, five hundred piece puzzles. But
- 5:03Speaker 1: I always picked a picture of something I liked and
- 5:08Speaker 1: wanted to see happen. So it's very simple. You get
- 5:11Speaker 1: the jigsaw puzzle, you get it home, you open it up,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you dump it out on the table, You flip all
- 5:17Speaker 1: the pieces over so you can see them, and then
- 5:21Speaker 1: I would try to saw them based on the colors
- 5:24Speaker 1: on the box. If it was like a black section,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I'd take all the black pieces and slide them over there.
- 5:30Speaker 1: If it was some flowers, I'd try to find all
- 5:33Speaker 1: the pictures with little jigsaw pieces, with the little floor,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and I separate them, and then I started putting it together.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And the way I started was, I try to build
- 5:41Speaker 1: a border first, because I knew all the straight edges
- 5:45Speaker 1: had to be side by side at one point, so
- 5:48Speaker 1: I'd go like that. And it was funny, man, because
- 5:51Speaker 1: it's related to my life. I would start putting the
- 5:55Speaker 1: pieces together of the picture I saw that I liked,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and that would be my picture. And oftentimes when I
- 6:04Speaker 1: got through it the puzzle. The puzzle would be about
- 6:08Speaker 1: maybe two feet wide two feet high, something like that.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I liked them about that side. Sometimes I get a
- 6:15Speaker 1: little bigger one pin on the size of the piece
- 6:18Speaker 1: and stuff, and I would make that puzzle. A lot
- 6:21Speaker 1: of people didn't like jigsaw puzzles. The majority of people
- 6:25Speaker 1: I knew and my friends didn't like jigsaw puzzles because
- 6:29Speaker 1: they didn't like the work. And I had a partner
- 6:32Speaker 1: that used to come to my house and see mine
- 6:34Speaker 1: and get mad, and he'd go home and start oneting.
- 6:37Speaker 1: He'd get too difficult along the way and then he'd
- 6:40Speaker 1: stopped go back to it, and his puzzle was left
- 6:43Speaker 1: unfinished a lot of time. As a matter of fact,
- 6:46Speaker 1: none of the boys on the street like jigsaw puzzles
- 6:49Speaker 1: butt me because they just didn't want to go through
- 6:52Speaker 1: the intricate details of figuring that out really go outside
- 6:56Speaker 1: and run or something like that. Well I did too,
- 6:58Speaker 1: but in the one the time, you know. And so
- 7:02Speaker 1: what happened was, as I got older, I wanted more
- 7:06Speaker 1: difficult than challenging puzzles, but I wouldn't go too far.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I wanted some nice stuff to happen. I had a
- 7:14Speaker 1: picture of what I wanted for my life, but I
- 7:17Speaker 1: didn't want to go too far because it was so
- 7:20Speaker 1: challenging and difficult. I couldn't see myself at all of that,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and I didn't have the time, the knowledge, the expertise
- 7:28Speaker 1: to figuring all the intricate details. And I discovered something
- 7:32Speaker 1: when I was talking last night. That's what happens in
- 7:37Speaker 1: life to a lot of people. You get bogged down
- 7:40Speaker 1: with the details of coming up and trying to create
- 7:43Speaker 1: the picture that you want for yourself. You put it
- 7:46Speaker 1: to the side, you said, oh that puzs are crazy.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Next thing, you know, you crumbled it up and put
- 7:51Speaker 1: it back in the box. So you go halfway and
- 7:53Speaker 1: you get stuck, and you get to the part where
- 7:55Speaker 1: it ain't a lot of different colors, it's all the
- 7:57Speaker 1: same and that's a little bit more challenging. So that
- 8:00Speaker 1: may stop you. But it's somewhere in the jigsaw puzzle
- 8:03Speaker 1: that it gets very difficult and challenging. The bigger the
- 8:06Speaker 1: picture you want, but then what a happened in your life,
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's just like what ha happened in the jigsaw. Once
- 8:15Speaker 1: you get comfortable and you don't mind a challenge, you
- 8:20Speaker 1: could get a bigger picture. But here's the key to it, though,
- 8:25Speaker 1: if you put God in your mix. See, the picture
- 8:29Speaker 1: that I saw for myself as a boy is not
- 8:32Speaker 1: the picture that has happened to me as a man.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Because along the way from boyhood to manhood, from the
- 8:40Speaker 1: time I was ten, you understand what happened along the
- 8:43Speaker 1: riding now was I started putting God in the mix.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And so now the picture that I have now is
- 8:51Speaker 1: not the picture I saw, It's the picture that God saw.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So what I'm saying this analogy is the picture you
- 9:00Speaker 1: have may be difficult to complete, but if you were
- 9:04Speaker 1: to include God in your life, put God in your
- 9:08Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, God will not only help you complete the puzzle,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and he gonna add some pieces. He gonna do some favors.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He gonna show some mercy and you're gonna look up
- 9:21Speaker 1: and the picture that you're able to end up with
- 9:24Speaker 1: or be totally different and much more complete, much more beautiful,
- 9:28Speaker 1: or bigger picture than the one you had. Because there's
- 9:31Speaker 1: no way that I could have saw the life that
- 9:34Speaker 1: I have today back when I was a boy. And
- 9:38Speaker 1: it amazes me when I hear people say I always
- 9:40Speaker 1: saw this for myself. I didn't do that. I didn't
- 9:43Speaker 1: quite see this for myself. I don't know how you
- 9:46Speaker 1: can have the ability to see what God really has
- 9:49Speaker 1: for you. But man, he's a masterful jigsaw. Man, he's
- 9:53Speaker 1: an incredible puzzle complet So if you got a puzzle
- 9:57Speaker 1: that's challenging to you, maybe you need to see what's
- 10:00Speaker 1: the picture that God has for your life. If God
- 10:03Speaker 1: were in your life, if you completed the puzzle, what
- 10:08Speaker 1: would it look like. It'll be a far more extensive puzzle,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and it would be a far more beautiful piece of
- 10:15Speaker 1: scenery than you could have ever imagined. Tears come in
- 10:19Speaker 1: my eyes because I can't believe God bought me this far.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I can't believe that when I opened up and accepted
- 10:26Speaker 1: him and started talking to him that he would add
- 10:29Speaker 1: all these pieceles to my jigsaw puzzle, and my jigsaw
- 10:33Speaker 1: puzzle would look like this. And I can tell you
- 10:35Speaker 1: I ain't got a whole lot to do with with
- 10:38Speaker 1: with what I had and turned into, it's mostly favored
- 10:41Speaker 1: and blessings and grace and mercy of God. And I
- 10:44Speaker 1: looked up and I just got a much bigger jigsaw
- 10:47Speaker 1: puzzle completed. And guess what, He ain't through with me yet.
- 10:51Speaker 1: That's what's amazing and exciting about a relationship with God.
- 10:55Speaker 1: God could take your jigsaw puzzle and fix it. Every
- 11:00Speaker 1: morning show, ladies and gentlemen, there is a public service
- 11:06Speaker 1: announcement that has to be made right off the top.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Due to the difficulties stemming from the White House and

- 13:15Speaker 1: the head long. We've been on the air this long.

- 13:43Speaker 1: the meeting that he don't listen. He was the meeting

- 13:49Speaker 1: that right there, we ain't been on their eight minutes.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Need some fun and just do something. I don't know
- 14:04Speaker 1: why y'all running. I knew, I knew he would get something,
- 14:10Speaker 1: but I knew Team Tomas. You have to you have
- 14:15Speaker 1: to stop this chat. I don't know why y'all shut up. Tommy,
- 14:19Speaker 1: Now come on, he got no business on this radio.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Can anybody do? President Obama? We need him right now?
- 14:30Speaker 1: All right? Coming up at thirty two after the hour,
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yesterday was Chris Rock's birthday. We'll talk about comedy today
- 14:39Speaker 1: versus comedy back in the day with our three comedians
- 14:43Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show, all right, So, Steve,
- 14:48Speaker 1: yesterday was Chris Rock's birthday. That is your birthday, Rock
- 14:52Speaker 1: n legend. And so as I mentioned as we went
- 14:58Speaker 1: to break you Jans and he around Tommy, you guys,
- 15:01Speaker 1: well everybody knows this. It's no secret. You guys are
- 15:03Speaker 1: all comedians, very very very great comedians. What does it take?
- 15:08Speaker 1: I gotta ask you this, Steve, what does it take
- 15:10Speaker 1: to make it big in comedy today versus back in
- 15:13Speaker 1: the day when you guys got started, And I mean,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, Steve, it's your show, so let us well,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I mean one of the biggest reasons back in the
- 15:23Speaker 1: day when eighty five, when I started, Jay was already
- 15:27Speaker 1: out there. A matter of fact, he taught me the
- 15:30Speaker 1: ropes of comedy move my first gig on the road,
- 15:33Speaker 1: and he was the first headliner that I ever met
- 15:35Speaker 1: or worked with him, So he taught me a lot.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But one of the main differences I know is two things.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go quickly, okay. Number one is the
- 15:47Speaker 1: goal of the comedians on stage today seems to has
- 15:50Speaker 1: changed from getting big laughs to getting big reactions. I
- 15:56Speaker 1: think there's a misconception of the difference between a laugh
- 16:00Speaker 1: and a reaction. Laughter is where we after not oh
- 16:06Speaker 1: now that's just the reaction. That's not a laugh. Your
- 16:10Speaker 1: objective is to get laughs. And then secondly, I think
- 16:13Speaker 1: the way that comedies promoted Oh what what do you
- 16:19Speaker 1: mean by that? Guys? You want to jump in here. Well,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I think one of the things that for me and
- 16:25Speaker 1: when I met Steve, one thing that really made us
- 16:28Speaker 1: especially good writers is that there weren't no there were
- 16:31Speaker 1: no black clubs. There weren't black audiences. So people don't
- 16:34Speaker 1: take this wrong, but we played all white clubs. Is
- 16:37Speaker 1: that's all you could play. So by doing that, it
- 16:40Speaker 1: made you a comic. By the time you went to
- 16:42Speaker 1: the black clubs, you weren't cursing as much. You were thinking.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I'm not saying comics don't think today, but playing those
- 16:48Speaker 1: clubs in the beginning, by the time you moved over
- 16:50Speaker 1: to the all black audience, you you build this ability
- 16:54Speaker 1: up to work both audiences. And a lot of comics
- 16:57Speaker 1: today can't work white crowdser they can't work clean They
- 17:01Speaker 1: just the audience changed. They did in the water up people. No,
- 17:09Speaker 1: I understand it, but yeah, because okay, let's just peel
- 17:20Speaker 1: the skin back on the banana. Our culture can do
- 17:24Speaker 1: it a certain way and it's acceptable, right, Okay, other
- 17:29Speaker 1: whites are not even familiar with that culture. So when
- 17:33Speaker 1: you bring that culture to a white club that it's
- 17:37Speaker 1: too much. Too many small things that they won't get.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Don't mean this guy ain't funny, but he can't work
- 17:45Speaker 1: a white rule because it doesn't understand the parameters because
- 17:50Speaker 1: he just been doing black clubs, and a lot of
- 17:52Speaker 1: the comedians today, if you put them in all white audiences,
- 17:55Speaker 1: will die dog step because they have no concept of
- 18:00Speaker 1: working both rooms. We were forced to learn that back
- 18:04Speaker 1: then because the only rooms to work were white comedy clubs.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And now they have the internet in their own little follower,
- 18:11Speaker 1: they could just stay in their niche tom I've learned
- 18:15Speaker 1: to make adjustments to like what he's saying. I've learned
- 18:18Speaker 1: to make the adjustments, whether I'm performing in front of
- 18:20Speaker 1: a church crowd, whether I'm performing in front of a
- 18:22Speaker 1: predominant white crowd, whatever it is, I've learned, excuse me,
- 18:26Speaker 1: to make the adjustments of whatever my audience is. Second League. Definitely,
- 18:30Speaker 1: no crustin in front of the church crowd, Oh definitely.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You know that I got it. I've done everything. I know,
- 18:42Speaker 1: the whole makeupfest thing. I did not not one profanity
- 18:46Speaker 1: word come out of my mouth. So I make the adjustment.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I don't know about uncle, but I have made the adjustment.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I'm sure he makes it now. I mean in front
- 18:55Speaker 1: of churches like Steve and Tommy, and I see to myself,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I don't know how the hell you do it. I read, so, Jay,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you've never done a profanity free show for clan show.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Hell no, what were you saying, Steve, you were talking
- 19:13Speaker 1: about this, it's I mean, you know, as I've done Megafest.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Oh it was the toughest h performance because I was
- 19:24Speaker 1: so concerned. But Bishop Jakes was right about me. He
- 19:29Speaker 1: said you can do it. He said, God knows your heart,
- 19:32Speaker 1: just do it, man. And I did it and it
- 19:35Speaker 1: was and it was absolutely great. It wasn't a drop
- 19:37Speaker 1: off in funny or anything. I wrote jokes specifically for
- 19:40Speaker 1: that crowd because I grew up in the church, so
- 19:43Speaker 1: I had a lot of relatable material, you know, like
- 19:46Speaker 1: if you can't read really good church announcement, should not
- 19:54Speaker 1: be your fan, right, because now we could that And
- 20:00Speaker 1: people just started laughing. You know, Steve, people, a lot
- 20:03Speaker 1: of people don't even know that. At one time, you
- 20:06Speaker 1: went on tour with Kirk Franklin. Oh. Yeah, I toured
- 20:10Speaker 1: the whole year with Kirk frank We sold out a
- 20:12Speaker 1: lot of places together. And I was deeply concerned. And
- 20:18Speaker 1: I told he's a doctor, doctor, doctor, you could do
- 20:24Speaker 1: you could you could do this? Yeah? That was my
- 20:30Speaker 1: best Kirk, And so I told Kirk I said no,
- 20:34Speaker 1: man said Kirk your headline. He said, doctor, you just
- 20:38Speaker 1: start here. You're gonna close the show. And Kirk Franklin
- 20:42Speaker 1: was out there having church. Man, it was dog. I
- 20:46Speaker 1: was in back sweating bullets. They out there screaming, holland
- 20:53Speaker 1: getting feeled shouting, oh what it is I've been without
- 21:03Speaker 1: Lord Dog and went right out there customs. I mean,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I made a lot of mistakes on that tour, man,
- 21:15Speaker 1: a lot of mistakes, and I just had church before.
- 21:20Speaker 1: But it was my slowest show ever, I mean ever,
- 21:25Speaker 1: The timing was slow. I had to do I'm for
- 21:31Speaker 1: Luther for three years. I could not curse at all.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Started off like that. I started off, no customs. Wow,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you've changed. Luther would have had to kiss. If you
- 21:44Speaker 1: have any questions for the cure for the crew, please
- 21:47Speaker 1: go to Steve HARVEYFM dot com. Coming up next, it
- 21:50Speaker 1: is a nephew. Probably gonna be a couple of cuss
- 21:53Speaker 1: words in the prank phone call. You think that's a couple, Yeah,
- 21:57Speaker 1: we gotta run that prank back right after this. You're
- 22:00Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 22:04Speaker 1: of the hour. Entertainment News. Nick Cannon was a celebrity
- 22:08Speaker 1: guest host for Wendy Williams. Her staff was not happy
- 22:11Speaker 1: about it, and Michael B. Jordan needed therapy after black Panther.
- 22:16Speaker 1: What Tommy did too? Yeah, Plus, Miss Anna's gonna be
- 22:22Speaker 1: here to give us the latest from the White House.
- 22:24Speaker 1: But right now it is a nephew here to run
- 22:26Speaker 1: that prank back. What you got new? We got a
- 22:29Speaker 1: problem at the valet. Oh hey, it's a problem at
- 22:33Speaker 1: the valet. Randy Baby. Hello, Hey, Hey Tommy, how's it going? Hey? Man?
- 22:40Speaker 1: What's going on? You doing all right? I'm doing good,
- 22:42Speaker 1: doing good? What's up? Hey? Listen, I need you to
- 22:45Speaker 1: do something for me. You need your your cartels? No no, no, no,
- 22:50Speaker 1: no no, not because we listen. If I got someone
- 22:52Speaker 1: want you to do for me. I'm doing a plank
- 22:54Speaker 1: phone call, and I want you to call this guy
- 22:56Speaker 1: and tell him you're the valet downstairs, ask him for
- 23:00Speaker 1: ticket number and tell them, hey, we got a little
- 23:02Speaker 1: bit of an issue. But my my manager is gonna
- 23:04Speaker 1: call you back. Uh are you sure you want me
- 23:06Speaker 1: to do it? You're the vallet guy. That's all you
- 23:09Speaker 1: gotta do, all right? What does the Mexican guy gotta
- 23:12Speaker 1: be at the valet guy and you get to be
- 23:13Speaker 1: the manager. What's up with that? Nick? I'll put a
- 23:17Speaker 1: click on with Nick the car. All I want you
- 23:18Speaker 1: to do is just telling you new the ballet guy.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Will you do that for me? All right? Man? I
- 23:23Speaker 1: got you? All right? All right? All right? Hey on?
- 23:25Speaker 1: Just hey on? Hello? Hello? Is this mister Franklin? Yes?
- 23:30Speaker 1: Can I ask? What's calling? Oh? Yes? Um, I'm I'm
- 23:34Speaker 1: Orlanda with valet. Did you park Alec's just with us
- 23:36Speaker 1: about thirty minutes ago? Yeah? I did. What's what's going on?
- 23:41Speaker 1: What's this about? I'm just gonna need your ticket number
- 23:43Speaker 1: real quick. There's a small issue. And once you get
- 23:46Speaker 1: the ticket number, I could have my manager just call
- 23:49Speaker 1: you back five three four six? But why do you
- 23:53Speaker 1: Why do you need my ticket number? Is there something
- 23:55Speaker 1: wrong with my car? If something happened, Um, my manager
- 23:58Speaker 1: will call you back and he'll give you all the details.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Oh okay, so so something did happen to my car? Um?
- 24:05Speaker 1: Once I give him my manager your ticket number, he'll
- 24:07Speaker 1: call you back shortly and he'll tell you everything. Okay, Well,
- 24:11Speaker 1: can you have him give me a call as soon
- 24:12Speaker 1: as possible because I would like to know what happened
- 24:15Speaker 1: to my car? If something happened this is I don't
- 24:18Speaker 1: I don't really understand what's going on here. I'm sorry.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I have to go, but you can't tell me anything
- 24:23Speaker 1: else before you leave. I mean, there's no details that
- 24:25Speaker 1: you can give me about anything with my car. Like
- 24:27Speaker 1: I said, my manager will handle it. I have to
- 24:29Speaker 1: get going perfect, Orlando, that's perfect. I got it from you, bro.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I appreciate. Let's call him back. Hello. Hello, is this uh?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Is this mister Franklin? Yeah, this is he can ask
- 24:43Speaker 1: his calling. This is tu man. I'm the manager here
- 24:45Speaker 1: down at the vallet. Oh great, thank you. I've been
- 24:48Speaker 1: waiting to hear from you. Oh my god. Thirty minutes
- 24:51Speaker 1: ago you you pulled in with a telling me a
- 24:54Speaker 1: silver light great lexus, Yeah, that's that's yeah, that's my car.
- 24:58Speaker 1: What what's going on with my car here? Okay? And
- 25:00Speaker 1: what's your numbers at five three, four six? Yeah, that's
- 25:03Speaker 1: that's my number. I mean I already went through this
- 25:05Speaker 1: with the other guy. Can you just tell me what
- 25:07Speaker 1: the hell is going on with my car? Okay? Are
- 25:09Speaker 1: you able to come downstairs right now? No? I can't.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I valiate over there. I'm at a I'm at a
- 25:14Speaker 1: lunch with a client somewhere else. I'm not there right now?
- 25:18Speaker 1: Why do I need to come down right now? But
- 25:19Speaker 1: he just what is happening? Okay? So here's the deal, sir.
- 25:23Speaker 1: We have a we have a one of the valet
- 25:27Speaker 1: workers here has gotten mad and he left. He quit
- 25:30Speaker 1: the job, and he's he's gone, he's left. The premise.
- 25:34Speaker 1: The problem we're having right now is we don't see
- 25:38Speaker 1: your car, you know, and then you don't see what
- 25:41Speaker 1: do you what? I'm sorry? What? Well, I'm okay, okay, okay,
- 25:44Speaker 1: oh wow, all right, So my car is gone? Car
- 25:48Speaker 1: is gone? Is that what you're telling me right now?
- 25:49Speaker 1: Somebody company and took my car? Well, well, hey, we're
- 25:55Speaker 1: looking on every four and we're trying to figure out
- 25:58Speaker 1: if it got part somewhere else. He's gone and we're
- 26:01Speaker 1: we're that's why we call to get your number on
- 26:03Speaker 1: cards somewhere else. Man, What the do you mean? Do
- 26:06Speaker 1: I have a car or not? That my car just stole?
- 26:08Speaker 1: With how many forts do you have? How on to say?
- 26:11Speaker 1: I just bought that car that is a brand new
- 26:13Speaker 1: car and now it's just dam are you kidding me?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Right now? Well? Hold on, hold on, I understand, I understand.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Let me ask you something. Is there a way? Um?
- 26:22Speaker 1: Is there a way? Maybe you can come by tomorrow
- 26:24Speaker 1: and we can try to work. Come now and just
- 26:26Speaker 1: see it. You know, No, there is no way I'm
- 26:29Speaker 1: coming by tomorrow for a car. That's listening today. First
- 26:33Speaker 1: of all, we need to get the police involved in this.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I don't even Frank right now, mister Frank, we don't
- 26:41Speaker 1: want to get the police involved in this. Were gonna
- 26:45Speaker 1: who is we? Because I damn sure why to get
- 26:47Speaker 1: the police involved? So who is it? I'm just saying
- 26:49Speaker 1: we are. I'm listen. I don't want to lose my
- 26:51Speaker 1: job because we lost the car. If you just give
- 26:53Speaker 1: me some time to find the car, that's all I
- 26:55Speaker 1: want you to do, is give me some time. Let
- 26:57Speaker 1: me go by this guy's house where he lives and
- 26:59Speaker 1: see if the car is there. You should already be
- 27:01Speaker 1: in a car driving yo. Ask to this man's house
- 27:06Speaker 1: talking to me right now. Okay. The fact that you're
- 27:08Speaker 1: not there, it's malpractice. I'm calling the police. I'm suing
- 27:11Speaker 1: the building on I'm suing the manager, I'm suing the
- 27:14Speaker 1: made the valet box. I'm sure everybody affiliated with yo business.
- 27:18Speaker 1: You didn't seeing me right now, I'm okay, good listen.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Parking why are you? Why are you? Why are you
- 27:23Speaker 1: upset with me? How didn't do that? Now? I didn't
- 27:25Speaker 1: take the car? Oka? Why are you responsible for this?
- 27:29Speaker 1: Parking bot? Are you a manager? What's your occuproblem? Sir?
- 27:32Speaker 1: Why are you doing? Manager? I'm the manager here? An
- 27:36Speaker 1: Orlando called you earlier, okay, and we're trying to find
- 27:39Speaker 1: out where the car is. We all really feel like
- 27:42Speaker 1: if you don't even want the police involved, man, you're
- 27:44Speaker 1: not trying to find you're trying to come yet. Right now,
- 27:46Speaker 1: I'm mad at Orlando, I'm mad at you, I'm mad
- 27:49Speaker 1: at your company. I'm at the man who put the
- 27:51Speaker 1: day an assphalt down in the parket lot. I'm mad
- 27:53Speaker 1: at everybody right now. Okay, Cliff, Okay, okay, okay, we'll
- 27:56Speaker 1: come down. Okay, but let me ask you this here?
- 27:58Speaker 1: Are you? Are you? Are you mad? Um? Are you? Man?
- 28:01Speaker 1: At your wife? What? What? What is none of my wife?
- 28:05Speaker 1: But white didn't steal my damn car Ain't your wife
- 28:07Speaker 1: name Carrie? How the hell you know my wife's name?
- 28:10Speaker 1: You know how I know your wife's name? Because your
- 28:12Speaker 1: wife got me to call you. This is Nephew tom
- 28:15Speaker 1: Me from the Steve Harvey More. Damn, Frankly, you just
- 28:21Speaker 1: gotta played baby. Damn. Oh boy, we're going to the
- 28:26Speaker 1: marriage counselorce. This was this is y'all. Have you have
- 28:30Speaker 1: shared your boy? She said, he just bought this car.
- 28:34Speaker 1: He loves this car. Yeah. I started sitting in it
- 28:37Speaker 1: when he ain't going nowhere. Wow, I can't believe. It's
- 28:40Speaker 1: always it's always the closest people. It's all pay you
- 28:43Speaker 1: what I tell you? Who is not getting the right
- 28:45Speaker 1: in this car for a long time? She knows? Hey, man,
- 28:51Speaker 1: I mean it is. What is the baddest that I'm
- 28:52Speaker 1: talking about, the baddest radio show in the land. It's
- 28:56Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Baby Wold Tommy, what's the
- 29:08Speaker 1: part out like the outside? Sitting in the car? Ain't
- 29:11Speaker 1: it ain't even going now? I hadn't done that before
- 29:16Speaker 1: with manual. Oh when you get the new one. February fourteen,
- 29:25Speaker 1: fifteen sixteenth. The Nephew is in Colleen, Texas. Colleen, Texas.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Dolentie's weekend tickets on sale right now. Two shows Thursday
- 29:32Speaker 1: to Friday and two Saturday tickets on sale, right naw,
- 29:37Speaker 1: all right, nephew, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 29:39Speaker 1: of the hour, Entertainment News, we'll tell you about Nick Cannon.
- 29:42Speaker 1: He was a guest for Wendy Williams. Michael B. Jordan
- 29:44Speaker 1: is in the news too. He needed therapy after Black Panther.
- 29:47Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 29:51Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, Coming up in
- 29:55Speaker 1: twenty minutes, we'll tell you about Gucci. Yes, now, Gucci
- 30:02Speaker 1: is apologizing. No Gucci the fashion. Yeah, he is apologizing
- 30:09Speaker 1: for selling a black faced sweater. What I saw. Okay, Well,
- 30:15Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about it, Steve. Okay, Okay, I was
- 30:18Speaker 1: thinking I just bought a bag. I don't have to
- 30:20Speaker 1: take my bag, all right. But first in today's entertainment news.
- 30:25Speaker 1: So you guys know we've talked about this. I think
- 30:27Speaker 1: we mentioned it yesterday that Nick Cannon is filling in
- 30:30Speaker 1: for Wendy Williams on her show while she recovers from
- 30:32Speaker 1: complications due to graves disease. Well earlier this week, Nick
- 30:37Speaker 1: shared a private conversation he had with Wendy and told
- 30:41Speaker 1: her viewers her co host as she calls them that
- 30:44Speaker 1: she's on the mend and that the Hunter family is
- 30:47Speaker 1: stronger than ever. However, some staffers were upset about that
- 30:51Speaker 1: because they said Wendy gave Nick an update while they
- 30:54Speaker 1: were completely left in the dark. A source also called
- 30:58Speaker 1: Wendy hypocrite for trying to keep her business on the hush. Uh,
- 31:02Speaker 1: you know, because she talks about everybody else's business. I
- 31:04Speaker 1: guess that was their point in keeping her business, you know,
- 31:08Speaker 1: on the hush. The staffer said, I mean, please, she
- 31:10Speaker 1: has made a fortune from tearing people down. This is
- 31:13Speaker 1: a staffer saying this. However, when it comes to her
- 31:16Speaker 1: own life, it's all a secret. Imagine if this was
- 31:20Speaker 1: another celebrity living their life like she does, she'd be
- 31:23Speaker 1: sipping the tea and talking about it in hot topics
- 31:26Speaker 1: every day. She's such a hypocrite. No, yeah, Wendy still
- 31:31Speaker 1: hasn't set a return date. You know what I don't
- 31:34Speaker 1: like about this. I don't like kicking people when they're down,
- 31:38Speaker 1: you know, and she's she's upset. I mean, she's sick,
- 31:41Speaker 1: outsick as far as we know. Yeah, you know this,
- 31:45Speaker 1: just wait on this. I don't know. I'm calling her
- 31:49Speaker 1: a hypocrite and all that you know, but I mean,
- 31:55Speaker 1: Wendy's kind of gone there with people. You know, this
- 31:58Speaker 1: is what she does. She talks about people and then
- 32:00Speaker 1: now you know, you don't get information about what's going
- 32:04Speaker 1: on with her. So right, that's what some of her
- 32:07Speaker 1: staff people are saying. Right, that's how they feel. Right,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I get it, you're right. I mean, I mean, I
- 32:12Speaker 1: get it. They have their right to feel that way.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I just think, you know, yeah, she's out with this disease.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Just wait until you get the fact. Then that's Look,
- 32:21Speaker 1: I've made a lot of mistakes with things I've said
- 32:24Speaker 1: over the years, but I've tried my best not to
- 32:28Speaker 1: make it, you know, personal about people's personal business. I
- 32:33Speaker 1: made a comment a long time ago about Cornell Weston
- 32:38Speaker 1: at the time, no Cornell westonith smiled and I came
- 32:43Speaker 1: back on the end. I apologized about that because what
- 32:46Speaker 1: I said I didn't feel was right of me to
- 32:48Speaker 1: say something like that. So, if ever I've said something
- 32:52Speaker 1: about a person that was you know, wrong or something
- 32:56Speaker 1: or came out the wrong way, I've always tried to
- 32:59Speaker 1: lease all you ask for. That's been my stance with
- 33:02Speaker 1: other celebrities and famous people. You know, and you never
- 33:06Speaker 1: you don't even like us to do it on the show.
- 33:08Speaker 1: You No, I don't. I don't care for it. You know,
- 33:10Speaker 1: it's not it's not my method. I'm not gonna make
- 33:14Speaker 1: mine at the demise of yours. That's I've been very
- 33:20Speaker 1: conscious of that, and I feel comfortable in saying that
- 33:23Speaker 1: part right there. But you know, I don't I want
- 33:28Speaker 1: I want Wendy to be well, you know, I don't
- 33:31Speaker 1: want everybody, whatever she's going through, you know, to not
- 33:34Speaker 1: do that. But to see them staff as nis coming out,
- 33:38Speaker 1: that's sort of crazy. You know, staffers are making statements
- 33:41Speaker 1: like that, you know, and she might talk about it.
- 33:44Speaker 1: I mean, if she comes back to her show, when
- 33:46Speaker 1: she has her platform, she'll talk about it. Nobody's gonna
- 33:49Speaker 1: dog themselves, right, That's kind of difficult. Yeah, all right, Steve,
- 33:54Speaker 1: We're gonna move on to miss Anne with her ladies
- 33:57Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp. Thanks Steve, Thanks everybody. This
- 34:01Speaker 1: is a trip with the news as well. Here we go.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Congressional leaders from both sides of the Aisle reportedly still
- 34:06Speaker 1: trying to work out a compromise on a new government
- 34:08Speaker 1: spending bill before February fifteenth. That's a deadline set by
- 34:12Speaker 1: the President when he ended the partial government shutdown. You
- 34:14Speaker 1: remember that there's word that some Democrats say they could
- 34:17Speaker 1: be open to supporting some kind of wall or barrier
- 34:20Speaker 1: or something in some places. So Trump says he thinks
- 34:22Speaker 1: the situation may be hopeful. I certainly hear that they
- 34:25Speaker 1: are working on something and both sides are moving along.
- 34:29Speaker 1: We'll see what happens. We need border security. We have
- 34:31Speaker 1: to have it. It's not an option. Meanwhile, the President
- 34:34Speaker 1: addressed the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington yesterday. He outlined
- 34:37Speaker 1: the importance of faith in American society the founding of
- 34:41Speaker 1: our nation. Many of our greatest strides, from gaining our
- 34:45Speaker 1: independence to abolition of civil rights have been led by
- 34:52Speaker 1: people of faith and started in prayer. Yes he made
- 34:55Speaker 1: another one of his famous gas by talking about the
- 34:58Speaker 1: abolition out of slavery but civil rights. However, he was
- 35:02Speaker 1: talking to his base. Wells Fargo says it's working to
- 35:04Speaker 1: restore our services after its online and mobile banking assystems
- 35:08Speaker 1: crash yesterday. Wells Fargo says its service grid went down
- 35:11Speaker 1: after engineer shut the power off at one of its
- 35:13Speaker 1: sites after a maintenance check detected some smoke. Wells Fargo's
- 35:17Speaker 1: website isn't working. Some customers say their debit cards are
- 35:19Speaker 1: being rejected. Yesterday's outage was the second one this week.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Last year, Wells Fargo agreed to pay out some two
- 35:25Speaker 1: billion dollars. Would it be because of allegations that has
- 35:28Speaker 1: sold mortgage loans using false income information and Wells Fargo
- 35:31Speaker 1: admitted to creating unauthorized customer accounts. Here we go. Yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 1: we're talking about the loss of a legend, a black
- 35:42Speaker 1: history maker. Baseball great Frank Robinson has died at age
- 35:45Speaker 1: eighty three. Frank Robinson was a stellar player on five teams.
- 35:49Speaker 1: He's the only player to have ever been named Most
- 35:51Speaker 1: Valuable Player in both leagues. Frank Robinson became the first
- 35:54Speaker 1: Black American to become a manager in the big leagues
- 35:56Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy five, three years after Jackie Robinson died.
- 35:59Speaker 1: He first manage the Cleveland Indians, later managed San Francisco, Baltimore, Montreal.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Frank Robinson later moved to the front office as an
- 36:06Speaker 1: executive for Major League Baseball. Frank Robinson dead at age
- 36:09Speaker 1: eighty three. President Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohons, agreed
- 36:13Speaker 1: to testify before the House Intelligence Committee today and behind
- 36:17Speaker 1: closed door, as the chairman of the committee is California
- 36:19Speaker 1: Democrat Adams Shiff, confirming that today on The Young and
- 36:23Speaker 1: the Restless, the show will present a special tribute to
- 36:26Speaker 1: Christoph Saint John's character Neil Winters, kristof Saint John was
- 36:29Speaker 1: found dead of what authority say looks like suicide on Sunday.
- 36:33Speaker 1: And then finally today is National laugh but Grow Rich Day.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Ain't it? Just now? Back to Steve Harvey's boarding show.
- 36:43Speaker 1: You're listening to show what the heck is going on
- 36:50Speaker 1: with the blackface thing? Okay, now, Gucci, Yeah, Gucci, the brand,
- 36:56Speaker 1: you know, Gucci, not Gucci made Jay, but Gucci is
- 37:00Speaker 1: that it's getting backlash and they've apologized now for their
- 37:04Speaker 1: racist black face sweater. People are calling this sweater that
- 37:07Speaker 1: they that they came out with racist and calling it
- 37:10Speaker 1: black face. Uh, it's a turtleneck, black wool sweater. Back lava.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Is that how you pronounce that? Back lava sweater? Yeah?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Uh yeah, block clava block clovah, Yeah, nine hundred dollars.
- 37:28Speaker 1: It covers the nose, It includes a red cutout for
- 37:30Speaker 1: the mouth. Balaclava, balaclava anyway, it was being sold yeah
- 37:36Speaker 1: for eight hundred ninety nine hundred dollars as far as
- 37:39Speaker 1: we're concerned with tax and all that. Anyway, it's been
- 37:41Speaker 1: sold in Gucci stores and online. It's being pulled and
- 37:45Speaker 1: Gucci has, uh, they've apologized. Actually old treat, this is
- 37:51Speaker 1: number a treat. There's something that people hate and didn't
- 37:54Speaker 1: apologize for it. You know, come here and do this
- 37:57Speaker 1: all the time. I wouldn't even say it's an old trick.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I say that's what everybody does. Yeah, they do it. Um,
- 38:04Speaker 1: let's see. They are deeply apologize for the offense caused.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Gucci added that we are fully committed to increasing diversity
- 38:12Speaker 1: throughout our organization and turning this incident into a powerful
- 38:16Speaker 1: learning moment for the Gucci team and beyond. How I
- 38:19Speaker 1: wonder what they're gonna do. The sweater was was wrong?
- 38:23Speaker 1: You knew that it's a turtleneck that extends up to
- 38:27Speaker 1: your nose. The mouth is cut out and it has
- 38:30Speaker 1: like red lipstick from the mouth. Yes. Now, the ad
- 38:34Speaker 1: has this white girl with this turtleneck up to her
- 38:38Speaker 1: neck who goes up to her nose right and straight across,
- 38:42Speaker 1: and it has the red lipstick for a mouth and
- 38:45Speaker 1: then your mouth can be seen. What's crazy to me
- 38:48Speaker 1: is what we got so much to contend with now,
- 38:53Speaker 1: starting with the White House and how it's created this
- 38:57Speaker 1: aura in this country of ours and allowed so many
- 39:00Speaker 1: people to come forward. Then you got the governor over
- 39:03Speaker 1: there in Virginia. He trying to save his job. That
- 39:07Speaker 1: ain't him in him photos. It's just so much matter.
- 39:11Speaker 1: I don't even car from the view, she was in
- 39:19Speaker 1: black face and a costume. What seventies her job? I
- 39:25Speaker 1: don't know the view quiet about it? Yeah? What joy? Cool?
- 39:32Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's a lot man, My god, is
- 39:35Speaker 1: it there's some sort of epidemic? Oh my goodness? The
- 39:40Speaker 1: rules we got the lady rules? Yeah, all right. Coming
- 39:45Speaker 1: up at thirty four after the hour, m Robert de
- 39:48Speaker 1: Nio goes off on a driver outside of a divorce court,
- 39:52Speaker 1: and uh, three of us on this morning show can relate.
- 39:57Speaker 1: What Wait a minute, we'll get into that right after this.
- 40:08Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Robert de
- 40:12Speaker 1: Niro was in New York City on Thursday. It's part
- 40:15Speaker 1: of his divorce case with his estranged wife, Grace high Tower.
- 40:19Speaker 1: When the hearing was over, DeNiro went outside to meet
- 40:22Speaker 1: his driver, who was nowhere to be found. DeNiro was
- 40:25Speaker 1: seen covering his face with a newspaper as he talked
- 40:28Speaker 1: on his flip phone. What did DeNiro say, Jay, I'm
- 40:31Speaker 1: just trying to figure out what he's waiting for his riding.
- 40:34Speaker 1: He's going, what in hell are you? Man? But he's cussing, right,
- 40:37Speaker 1: what hell are you? You're not here? And they got
- 40:40Speaker 1: the papers over his head the right he said, I
- 40:42Speaker 1: know you're not here. I'm outside. What hell are you?
- 40:46Speaker 1: You know? He's just going off and there's no ride.
- 40:49Speaker 1: The ride is not there because he got this flip
- 40:54Speaker 1: phone on. Oh yeah, you got a flip phone. You're
- 40:57Speaker 1: mad about that? Ye? You to bring me phone five?
- 41:04Speaker 1: I phone five and the divorce so that was gone.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I got this flip phone. Can't tech? Got them three

- 41:28Speaker 1: to see the video. It's hilarious. Papers Steve, and you
- 41:34Speaker 1: can't see his face. You're talking to flip phone. What
- 41:36Speaker 1: the hell are you man? You're talking to me? Wow, Steve.
- 41:42Speaker 1: He's on the flip phone like the NFL coaches becoming
- 41:45Speaker 1: up there. I'm outside, what's going to? Where are you?
- 41:50Speaker 1: I'm outside the court. I just I just I just
- 41:54Speaker 1: lost everything. Man, I'm just that. It's people starting noticed me.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I'm famous. Okay, it ain't. I'm famous. I'm the only

- 42:08Speaker 1: just calm, man, what I'm playing you phone? Wow, it's crazy.
- 42:19Speaker 1: It's never it's never fun. No, no, no, it's not
- 42:24Speaker 1: fun unless you take it all. So I just want
- 42:29Speaker 1: my name, I mean, y'all. So yeah, yeah, me neither
- 42:38Speaker 1: tummy Steve, I've been you want to talk about divorce court? Yeah,
- 42:44Speaker 1: I just don't feel like I'm exhausted, and I certainly

- 43:00Speaker 1: I'll be all right. I'll be good. I said, I said.
- 43:06Speaker 1: One thing I was saying was gonna be all right. Dog.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Let me ask you this when you came, when you
- 43:12Speaker 1: when you got your divorce, did you ever think you
- 43:14Speaker 1: would remarried? Did you ever think you get married again
- 43:17Speaker 1: after going through all of that? I you know, I was.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I've never been against marriage because I think because I
- 43:25Speaker 1: saw my mom, my mother, and my father and they
- 43:28Speaker 1: were married sixty four years, I saw all I ever knew,
- 43:32Speaker 1: so I've always believed in it. I thought that was
- 43:35Speaker 1: the right thing to do for me, you know, was
- 43:38Speaker 1: to have some kids, raise a family, be a parent,
- 43:42Speaker 1: be a dad, you know, help my daughters, help my sons,
- 43:46Speaker 1: you know, give a woman the right to feel like
- 43:50Speaker 1: a queen. You know. Um, just in my younger years,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I didn't have that aspect of it together. The providing
- 43:58Speaker 1: part was lacking, and so I couldn't really make her
- 44:01Speaker 1: feel like a queen because at times I wasn't very keenly. Yeah,
- 44:06Speaker 1: so you know, I had to. I had to. I
- 44:09Speaker 1: had to really just come to terms with that. But
- 44:11Speaker 1: that's very true though to say that. Yeah, I mean,
- 44:15Speaker 1: but I always wanted to be what I saw my father. Yeah,
- 44:18Speaker 1: you had a great example at home to my mother,
- 44:21Speaker 1: and I was trying. I was just getting it wrong,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and then I just made a bad selection. Man. Well,
- 44:28Speaker 1: I mean, no one gets married to get a divorce.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I mean, that's not what's in your mind when you
- 44:33Speaker 1: take the vows, or is it? Jay? Yeah, Hey, Jay,
- 44:39Speaker 1: when you got a divorce? How long after ja? Yeah?
- 44:49Speaker 1: Answer your questions? How long after the marriage did you
- 44:55Speaker 1: think I should not be here? All? Right? Look up next,
- 45:01Speaker 1: it is the nephew with the prank phone call coming
- 45:03Speaker 1: up right after this you're listening to show. Coming up
- 45:09Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 45:11Speaker 1: It's today's strawberry letter, the subject my husband's drinking buddy.
- 45:16Speaker 1: But right now it is the nephew here with today's
- 45:20Speaker 1: prank phone call. What you got now? I left my

- 46:52Speaker 1: don't really know how to say it, but uh I was.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I was with the two dudes that had broken there.

- 54:46Speaker 1: be reading yours live on the air like we're gonna
- 54:49Speaker 1: read this one right now. Buckle up, hold on tight,
- 54:53Speaker 1: We got it full you Here. It is Strawberry Letter
- 54:56Speaker 1: subject my husband's drinking buddy. Here's Stephen Shirley. I've been
- 55:02Speaker 1: married for three years, but my husband and I have
- 55:04Speaker 1: been together for thirteen years. Our relationship has had his challenges,
- 55:08Speaker 1: and lately we have been arguing over bills and the
- 55:12Speaker 1: fact that he sometimes stays out until five am drinking.
- 55:17Speaker 1: My husband and I split the household bills each month,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and the past two months he's been coming up short
- 55:23Speaker 1: with his half of our rent money. Whenever I talked
- 55:25Speaker 1: to him about money, he gets an attitude and calls
- 55:28Speaker 1: me controlling. On top of not having his portion of
- 55:32Speaker 1: the bill money, he's been lying to me about his
- 55:35Speaker 1: whereabouts when he's out all night. He's been a heavy
- 55:37Speaker 1: drinker since I met him, but it's never been a problem.
- 55:40Speaker 1: When we first met, he and I hung out with
- 55:42Speaker 1: my sister a lot, so they became drinking buddies. Because
- 55:46Speaker 1: I was not a big drinker. At first, it was
- 55:49Speaker 1: no big deal when they hung out, but I had
- 55:51Speaker 1: to ask my sister to stop inviting my husband out
- 55:54Speaker 1: once we got married, and she did. The past few weeks,
- 55:57Speaker 1: they've been back to their old tricks, hanging out drinking
- 56:00Speaker 1: to all hours of the morning. When I asked my
- 56:03Speaker 1: husband why he feels the need to hang out with
- 56:05Speaker 1: my sister once again, he said, I'm controlling and I
- 56:09Speaker 1: need to stop nagging him. But I've caught him in
- 56:13Speaker 1: several lives about where he's been, so I can't help
- 56:16Speaker 1: but think he's at my sister's house or they're out together.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Deep down, I feel like something is going on with them,
- 56:23Speaker 1: and maybe he's giving her money to keep her quiet.
- 56:27Speaker 1: My sister swore that it's innocent and they just like
- 56:30Speaker 1: hanging out. I need your advice. How do I get
- 56:32Speaker 1: my sister to see that she's being disrespectful? And is
- 56:36Speaker 1: there a way to talk to my husband so he
- 56:37Speaker 1: won't think I'm controlling or nagging him? Please help? Well,
- 56:42Speaker 1: now he's spending way too much time and way too
- 56:46Speaker 1: much money. I'm sure with your sister, all right, I
- 56:49Speaker 1: can only think that you're right what you're feeling, that
- 56:52Speaker 1: something is going on between the two of them. Besides
- 56:55Speaker 1: just going out getting a drink. Who stays out till
- 56:57Speaker 1: five o'clock in the morning drinking? I mean, you know,
- 57:01Speaker 1: I know they're alcoholics in the world. That's not what
- 57:03Speaker 1: I'm talking about. This is beyond to me just drinking buddies.
- 57:08Speaker 1: He's drinking with your sister, He's staying out until five.
- 57:12Speaker 1: When you talk to him about it, he says you're
- 57:14Speaker 1: controlling or nagging him. Those are all signs to me.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Put and you put that together. Yeah, and you put
- 57:21Speaker 1: that together. With how you're feeling. Why are you letting
- 57:25Speaker 1: Why do you continue to let them go out together though?
- 57:28Speaker 1: I mean, or if you suspect that he's at your
- 57:31Speaker 1: sister's house, why don't you go over there and see
- 57:34Speaker 1: what's really going on? Controlling? No, you just want the
- 57:39Speaker 1: agreement to follow through. You know, you guys go in
- 57:43Speaker 1: half on the rent and all of that. Yeah, he's
- 57:45Speaker 1: spending his money on your sister and on alcohol. It
- 57:48Speaker 1: takes a lot of money to stay up until five
- 57:50Speaker 1: o'clock drinking. So how do you let your sister know
- 57:56Speaker 1: that she's being disrespectful? She already knows you've asked her
- 58:00Speaker 1: to stop, You've asked her, she knows that if she
- 58:03Speaker 1: continues to do it again, to continues to do it,
- 58:06Speaker 1: that she's being disrespectful. Uh. So you know this, This
- 58:11Speaker 1: is a mess. This is another Strawberry letter mess. You're
- 58:16Speaker 1: gonna have to I don't know get you. I don't know, really,
- 58:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna just be honest. I don't know, but I
- 58:23Speaker 1: do believe that you need to get to the bottom
- 58:25Speaker 1: of it. You don't, You don't to figure out what's
- 58:27Speaker 1: going on. You don't have to catch them in anything
- 58:29Speaker 1: you feel it. You see how they're acting, you know
- 58:32Speaker 1: something's going on. That's how you get to the bottom
- 58:35Speaker 1: of it. Believe in what you feel. Steve Yo, all right,
- 58:40Speaker 1: here we go. Let me let me tell your ladies
- 58:44Speaker 1: something so you understand this. The term controlling or nagging
- 58:50Speaker 1: is a term that was created by men. We do
- 58:54Speaker 1: this just ain't no secret or nothing. But we call
- 58:58Speaker 1: you controlling a nag so you can stop controlling and
- 59:03Speaker 1: nagging us. That's the only reason we label you that
- 59:08Speaker 1: as controlling or nagging is so you can stop controlling
- 59:12Speaker 1: or nagging us. Now, there are a lot of men
- 59:15Speaker 1: who really don't deserve to be controlled or nagged. But
- 59:20Speaker 1: for some reason, I had a partner mine who was
- 59:24Speaker 1: dating a woman whose parents were that type of relationship,
- 59:28Speaker 1: and she bought that to him, and she was very
- 59:31Speaker 1: controlling and nagging and this guy was trying to treat
- 59:34Speaker 1: it like an ultimate queen. So there are people out
- 59:36Speaker 1: here to do this, but we use this so you
- 59:39Speaker 1: don't control us or nagg us. Okay, So now that
- 59:43Speaker 1: we've got that out the way, this woman's been together
- 59:45Speaker 1: with this three years with this dude, and our relationship
- 59:49Speaker 1: had his challenges. They've been together for thirteen though, so
- 59:52Speaker 1: lately they've been arguing over bills. Money is a big
- 59:56Speaker 1: argument and a relationship. We all know that they sometimes
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and the fact that he stays out to five am drinking.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Now you got a lot of problems. You got bill
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: problem and he ain't home. He stay out to five
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: am drinking. What open? Damn? I'm trying to take clubs
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: and bars is too. My husband and I split the
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: household bills each month, and for the past two months
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he's been shot whenever I asked him about the money.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Here we go, he gets an attitude and he calls
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: me controlling. On top of not having his portion of
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: the money. He's been lying to me about it whereabouts
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: when he's out all night. And here's the Keith in
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: this laugh. He's been a heavy drinker since I met him.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: But it's never been a problem. I didn't Hell, it's
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: somebody a damn heavy drinker and it hain't a problem.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Who do you know that's a heavy drinker And it's
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: not a problem. No one, no one, No one can
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: be a heavy drinker. Lady, you've been trying to tolerate
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: stuff for a long time. But when you said in
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: this letter. He's been a heavy drinker since I met him,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: but it's never been a problem. Good Lord a mighty.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: When I first met here and I hung out with
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: my sister a lot, so they became drinking buddies, right
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: that when the problems started, y'all started dating. He couldn't
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: hang with you because you didn't drink enough, so he
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: found your damn sister, Lucy Lush. Yeah, now, Lucy l
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: l just drinking same as you? So what was that?
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I was just drink and drink, drinking same as you? Okay,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: loose all right? Uh well, hang on, I'm not a
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: big trip. You have a part two to that. We'll

- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter subject my husband's drinking buddy.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: So this lady been with her husband thirteen years. The
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: relationship had a lot of challenges. He had been paying
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: his bills, y'all split the bills. Last two months, he
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: had been playing had he been staying out to five
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: in the morning, And he's been lying about him It
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: was whereabouts. When you talked to him about the money,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: he calls you control. And on top of his not
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: having to bill money, he's been lying to me by
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: where he'd been out to. He's been a heavy drinker
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: since I met him, but it's never been a problem.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: What that's so crazy to me? But to hold on
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: to that because she's gonna do it again because I
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: was not a big drinker at first. So he became
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: drinking buddies with her sister because she said, I'm not
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: a big drinker. At first, it was no big deal
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: when they hung out. See how she'd be writing stuff
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: off Now he when he drank a lot, that wasn't
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: a problem. Now hanging out with your sister all night
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: that at first it was no big deal. How that
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: ain't a big deal, right, But I asked my sister
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: to stop inviting my husband once we got married, Mircael
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: husband now she did. Past few weeks though, they've been
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: back to their old tricks, hanging out, drinking to all
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: hours of the morning. When I asked my husband why
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: he feels a need to hang out with my sister
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: once again, he said, you're controlling and you need to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: stop nagging him. Du you don't drink right now because
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: you writing letter. You have to be it. This is
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: not begging for a reenactment, and so first let me
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: finish this. I called him civil lives. I can help.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I can't help but think he's at my sister's house
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: all day out together not deep down, I feel like
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: something going on with him. Maybe he's giving her money
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: to keep her quiet. That probably ain't a problem to
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: you either. My sister swore was innocent. I think your
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: sister lying drunk people do have a tendency that they
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: just like hanging out. Hanging out for what. I don't
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: need to hang out with you just to drink. I
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: can drink at a home. It's something to hell going on.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I need your advice. How do I get my sister
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: to see what that she's being disrespectful? How to hell?
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You'll say, Well, your sister ain't gonna see it, because
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: your sister alcoholic alcoholics don't ever see nothing. Right now,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: it's sister alcoholics staying all these nights to five in
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: the morning drink. Yeah, she's alcohol and he is too.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And is there a way to talk to my husband
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: so he won't think I'm controlling a nagging him. You
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: need to quit worried about how everybody feels, because ain't
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: nobody worried about how you feel? Wow? See that right there?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: How do I talk to my husband so he don't
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: think I'm controlled? The next? Stop worried about what he thinks.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Stop worried about what your sister thinking, because they don't.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Neither one of them care what you think. They out drinking.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: That was to reenact we're gonna do the sister is
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: calling the sister the drunk sister. Okay, are you the
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: drunk sister? No you no, you you you're already doing it?
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: You drunk? You drunk, real dude. Okay, go ahead. Hello Colletta, huh,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: this is Cynthia. I need to talk to you about

- 1:06:44Speaker 1: with you and Earl? I need you to tell me
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: what's going on with who? You and Earl? Garyl? Collatta?
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: You and Earl? What's going on you and Earl? Earl?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Why are you ob so late with my husband? What's

- 1:08:07Speaker 1: He said, I'm a nigger. He said, huh, a nigger. Yes,

- 1:22:47Speaker 1: that I want to, but yeah I have. Yeah, they're

- 1:23:22Speaker 1: does that have on it? What's in that saucage? Damn board?
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: I see any vegetables around pizza, not a nail saucy

- 1:23:42Speaker 1: my show when I was in Chicago. You've got to
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: try lou Mount Naughties, y'all. I'm sorry. Now they got
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: some great pizza in Chicago. The loue Mount Naughties is
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: the bad. Geno's is good, and donald donald Gia Donald's
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: is good. That's what I meant. I'm sorry. Genos is
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: good too, though they say Genos is good too. I
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: can't remember having yeah, uh um, they used to be good.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: Us used to be pizza, but Gia Donald's and uh
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: and loul Ntedge Lounedge though for wow, lord, they just
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: can't have mushrooms. If I have mushrooms, I have to
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: have onions, Bell pepper mushrooms. I just can't have one,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: but I have to have more than two. Can we
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: have pizza and sex? Is that possible to have? B No,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: that's not on the survey, baby, that's not even before. Yeah,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: pizza and sex. I was in college especially about all right,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Delta
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Airlines in Coca Cola wanted to make the dream of
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: falling in love on a plane a reality t but
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: their approach did not have the internet uh the intended
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: effect um. As part of Delta's brand partnership with Coke,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: the airline handed out promotional in flight napkins that encourage
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: passengers to give their number to others on the plane.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: On one side of the napkin, it read because you're
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: on a plane with interesting people and hey, you never know,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the other side had space to write down the name
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: and phone number, with the additional text be a little
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: old school, write down your number and give it to
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: your plane crush you never know. Delta passengers apparently did
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: not take kindly to the approach, and dozens wrote to
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the brands on social media, calling the stunt creepy have you? Uh?
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: That is, You're sitting over there your wife on the
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: plane and some dude turn around and go, oh yeah,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: well yeah, I got a napkin for you paper. I
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: thought that was a good idea that I'm like Coca
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: Cola and I love. Yeah. What they should have done.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Here's what they should have did, guys. They should have
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: came to me the CLO chief Love Officer and says
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Steve put Us together a campaign so we can talk
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: about expanding our brand but including love to unify us all.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: And I would have came up with a cold because
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: I got it. Oh you don't want to care. Hell,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: they might call now, yeah they probably well, yeah, you
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: know they listen. Yeah, they got to join partnership. I've
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: done business with Coca Cola before. Yeah, a big campaign
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: with them and Delta. Delta is talking about helping my foundation.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: I understand. So that's a great talk we're having with Delta.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: So you know, because I do my camp right outside
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: of Atlanta, So what's some good things going on? He
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: never knows what God is working on. So hey, CLO
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: is here for you. I let your boy. Yeah, they
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: wanted to make what Yeah, let's hear it. Jake the
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: c CHO, the chief hate officer, wanting you have make
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: your rest room sig. Yeah, it's pretty tight in the cab,
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: trying to make people fall in love on the plane. Oh,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: I'm catching up. And when I'm a little wild, just
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: a little wild club. I'm not a part of my
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: high club. Anybody on here part of my Hello rich boy,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: say rich boy, Well you well, I told you guys
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: about that story last week. And I was on the
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: plane story. You don't want to answer the questions. Well,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: I remember I told you guys, I was on this
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: plane and these two people could not keep their hands
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: off each other. They were all over each other, I
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: mean all over each other, Steve. They finally got up.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: She got up first, went to the to the restroom.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: He got up, went to the laboratory. They came back,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: sat in their seats. Once they finished, plane landed. She
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: got off the plane. Some man met her. They were
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: not together. They were not together. She went into the
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: arms of someone else, and I don't know what happened
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: to the guy that. You know, they'd gone and done it.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: When they came out of the bathroom. Did they look
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: flushed when they Yes, absolutely, because you were both but
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: but but people on the plane wanted them to go
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: in there because it was ridiculous. Yeah, it was that jail.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Get the monkey off your back. You can't turn around
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: in there. We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: Show coming up right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: Stry Morning Show and Today's Entertainment News. So you guys
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: know we've talked about this. I think we mentioned it
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: yesterday that Nick Cannon is filling in for Wendy Williams
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: on her show while she recovers from complications due to
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: graves disease. Well Earlier this week, Nick shared a private
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: conversation he had with Wendy and told her viewers her
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: co host as she calls them, that she's on the
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: mend and that the Hunter family is stronger than ever. However,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: some staffers were upset about that because they said Wendy
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: gave Nick an update while they were completely left in
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: the dark. A source also called Wendy hypocrite for trying
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: to keep her business on the hush, you know, because
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: she talks about everybody else's business. I guess that was
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: their point in keeping her business, you know, on the hush.
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: The staffer said, I mean, please, She has made a
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: fortune for tearing people down. This is a staffer saying this. However,
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: when it comes to her own life, it's all a secret.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: Imagine if this was another celebrity living their life like
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: she does, she'd be sipping the tea and talking about
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: it in hot topics every day. She's such a hypocrite. No, yeah,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: Wendy still hasn't set a return date, you know, what
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I don't like about this. I don't like kicking people
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: when they're down, you know, and she's she's upset. I mean,
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: she's sick, outsick as far as we know. Yeah, you know,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: just just wait on this. I don't know her a
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: hypocrite and all that, you know, but I mean, Wendy's
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: kind of gone there with people. You know, this is
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: what she does. She talks about people and then now
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: you know, you don't get information about what's going on
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: with her. So right, that's what some of her staff
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: people are saying. Right, that's how they feel. Right, I
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: get it, you're right. I mean, I mean, I get it.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: They have their right to feel that way. I just think,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: you know, yeah, she's out with this disease. Just wait
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: until you get the facts in that's look. I've made
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: a lot of mistakes with things I've said over the years,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: but I've tried my best not to make it, you know,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: personal about people's personal business. I made a comment a
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: long time ago about Cornell west and at the time,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: no Cornell weston Taith smiled and I came back on
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: the air and I apologized about that because what I
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: said I didn't feel was right of me to say
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: something like that. So if ever I've said something about
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: a person that was you know, wrong or something or
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: came out the wrong way, I've always tried to at
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: least apologize for That's been my stance with other celebrities
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: and famous people, you know, and you never you don't
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: even like it on the show. No, I don't. I
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: don't care for it. You know, it's not it's not
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: my method. I'm not gonna make mine at the demise
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: of yours. That's I've been very conscious of that, and
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I feel comfortable in saying that part right there. But
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: you know, uh, I don't. I want. I want Wendy
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: to be well, you know, I don't know everybody whatever
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: she's going through, you know, to not do that, but
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: to see them staff as NIC's coming out, that's sort
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: of crazy. You know. Staffers are making statements like that,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you know, and she might talk about it. I mean,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: if she comes back to her show, when she has
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: her platform, she'll talk about it. Nobody's gonna dog themselves, right,
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: that's kind of difficult. Yeah, all right, we'll be back
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: with the clothes. Uh. Today it's been a good day. Um,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: we'll be back to close show. Yeah, with Steve's closing
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: remarks coming up at forty nine after the hour right
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Here we are
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: on this Friday, our last break of the day, last
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: break of the week. I've been really, really on a
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: mission here to try to encourage people, you know, because
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: they're actually moments that I feel lost. You know, I'm
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: pretty sure all of you had those moments here on
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: the morning shows. I mean, you know, there's just times
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: when you just are confused and you just don't really
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: know what to do. So I was gonna replay another one,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: but I'm in it now, so you know here it is,
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: because you know, it is it is paramount that you
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: understand that you're not the only one that's going through something.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: That the people that you think have it also together.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: You gotta understand something they're going through something. The person
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: that you think has gotten it all right, they going
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: through something. It was funny today, man, I was somewhere.
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: I can't tell you where, but I was somewhere. There
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: was a lot of a lot of people there who
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: are supposedly well off, you know, and I met a
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: guy that I had never met before, but I do
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: business with him, but I've never met him. And so
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: I was coming out of the place and a guy
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: was talking to on the way. I said, Steve, I
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: like you to meet SO and Soul. And I said, hey, man,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: how you doing. My name is Steve Harvey. The guy said,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: the real Steve Harvey. I said yeah. He said, I'm
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: So and So. I owned SO and Soul. And I said,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: what are you kidding me? And I hugged a guy
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: because I've been doing business with him for almost six
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: years and I had no idea who he was. I
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: never met him. I just do some business with it.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: And I was sitting there and he got to talk
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: it to me, and I was saying, because the business,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: I get something from this guy, a service that he provides,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: and he makes a tremendous amount of money. And I
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: was just telling him, man, man, I smell you're doing
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: really good. And he just opened up out of nowhere.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: He said, I'm going through a divorce and I went, wow, man,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: hanging there, man, I've been there a couple of times.
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: He said, no, man, I'm really going through it. Man,
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: he said, I love my children. I said, he said,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: but just we got to the point where we can't
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: make it. And this is a guy who, keep in
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: mind on the outward appearance hasn't all working. I mean,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: when I met him, I was going like, whoa, this
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: is the guy. Man, this is the dude that does
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: the thing that people love. And man, this is the
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: guy he got it together. And he said, Man, I'm
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: going through a divorce. I said, man, hanging down. I've
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: been there, He said, Man, have you really? I said yeah, Man,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: he said, that's right. I've kind of heard your story
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: off and on. This is your third marriage. I said yeah.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: And we sat down and we started talking, and I
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: gave him some advice. I just said, hey, man, at
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: one point in time, you know what it is. It's money,
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: I said, at one point in time, Man, you can't
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: fight so hard. He said, Man, but I was married
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: for twenty six years. I thought I knew this woman,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: and I don't. I said, look, man, whatever the case is,
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you gotta get to
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: a place of happiness. He said, how do I do that?
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: I said, why don't you just let go? I said,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: what's causing you the most griefous? You're trying to hang
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: on to something so deeply without realizing that you made
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: money before you make some more. He said, are you
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: kidding me? I said yeah. I said, I just gave
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: up man. He said, wow, that's what I should do,
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: he said, I was. The biggest is killing me is
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: how do I keep what I got? I said, You're
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: not gonna be able to do that. Man. It's because
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: that's what the divorce is. And I'm saying all that
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: to say this that no matter who you are, no
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: matter who you think a person is, they're going through something.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Everybody's going through something. But the key for all of
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: us that's going through something, That is one thing that's
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: available to us all. And I don't want to sound
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: corny or nothing, but prayer man, prayer, prayer man. Man.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: I can't even tell you how many times it has
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: been my only source of hope, my only source of comfort,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: my only source of inspiration, my only source of an answer.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: I've been in some stuff so wrong, so turned up,
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: so flipped up. Man. I had no clue what to do.
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: But prayer man, that simple thing of going somewhere in
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: your mind. You ain't got to If you can get
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: in the room by yourself, cool, but you ain't gonna
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: make an appointment. You ain't got to clear it with nobody.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: You can just say, hey, God, it's me, and I
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: know you ain't used to hear from me, and I
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: gotta do better. But hey, I'm I'm a. I'm a
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: I'm in a hole right now and I don't know
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: what to do. And I've heard that you hear and
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: answer prayer. I'm asking you right now to hear me.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: And if you don't, do nothing but just give me
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the strength to endure it all? Could you do that
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: for me? Could you just calm my spirit down and
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: send me a sign that it's gonna be all right.
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: I don't can hide in, but just let me know
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: that it's gonna be all. I've done it like that.
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: Prayer is effective. Prayer changes things. Prayer, don't forget to pray,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't ever be too
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: proud to pray, because prayer, prayer changes things, and prayer
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: change people too. Drop it closing. That's it. What was
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: that was really good? That was phenomena. Y'all have a
