- 0:15Speaker 1: million buck things in it to be true. Good of
- 0:21Speaker 1: the listening to the movie other st Pa, I don't
- 0:39Speaker 1: join Jo. You gotta turning. You gotta turn to turn out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You haven't got to turn out to turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your bad Uh
- 2:01Speaker 1: huh I sure well, I come on it. Everybody you
- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey, Oh yeah, man, got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show. Do you understand that? I'm telling you God
- 2:16Speaker 1: been big in my life. I'm not gonna kid you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm telling you in here to do the same thing
- 2:20Speaker 1: for you. God. God is a gentleman, you know. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: want to I want to point that out to you.
- 2:27Speaker 1: God is an absolute gentleman. He will not come in
- 2:32Speaker 1: unless he's invited. He don't just barge into your life.
- 2:38Speaker 1: He gives us the power of choice. You know, if
- 2:42Speaker 1: you say you got it, I don't need you. He
- 2:44Speaker 1: let you have it. If you say I need you,
- 2:48Speaker 1: come see about me. He right there. It's just a
- 2:51Speaker 1: real simple thing. Man. So always say to people this.
- 2:56Speaker 1: If you've gotten yourself into something, please know I have.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I was stuck. I thought a couple of times, well
- 3:09Speaker 1: might not make it past this one. But then if
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't make it past it, what's gonna happen? And
- 3:16Speaker 1: then I held on to this little thing that my
- 3:19Speaker 1: mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes, so
- 3:22Speaker 1: when you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope,
- 3:26Speaker 1: she said, Just hope it'll be all right, you know.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And what I've learned in my life is that hope
- 3:32Speaker 1: is the beginning of faith. Hope. It's just is there
- 3:37Speaker 1: a possibility out there for me? I sure hope something happened.
- 3:45Speaker 1: See hope, hope it's okay, man, Because like I say,
- 3:49Speaker 1: for me, the way I've lived my life, hope was
- 3:52Speaker 1: the beginning of faith. It was just the idea. It's
- 3:56Speaker 1: just the thought that something could change from me, that
- 3:59Speaker 1: something could be a little bit different from me, that maybe, man,
- 4:03Speaker 1: just maybe for some reason, I could be saved, I
- 4:08Speaker 1: could be rescued. Things could turn around, it could head
- 4:12Speaker 1: any other direction. Maybe I could quit messing up. Maybe
- 4:16Speaker 1: somebody will forgive me, Maybe somebody will just say all right.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I don't know, but I can't count the times I've
- 4:23Speaker 1: been in that position. But then once I hope a
- 4:26Speaker 1: little bit, and then I remember also my mother, because
- 4:29Speaker 1: she was a Sunday school teacher, she taught me the
- 4:32Speaker 1: most valuable lesson I've ever learned in my life. Nothing
- 4:36Speaker 1: has been greater in my life than my faith. She
- 4:38Speaker 1: taught me to pray. Mamma used to say, when it
- 4:41Speaker 1: get real dark for your son, prad changes things. She said,
- 4:45Speaker 1: when you seem like you lost and you can't finding
- 4:48Speaker 1: your way, stop and pray, she said, because prad changes things.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You know, when you get a point in your life
- 4:56Speaker 1: when you've done all you can do and you can't
- 4:58Speaker 1: do no more and you just don't know what to
- 5:00Speaker 1: do next, she says, stop suh, pray and combine that
- 5:06Speaker 1: prayer with that hope that you got, she said, because
- 5:10Speaker 1: that hope is the beginning of faith. She said. If
- 5:13Speaker 1: you pray just hoping, she's saying that God come through
- 5:16Speaker 1: for you. That will give you confidence that he can
- 5:19Speaker 1: do it again. And then after a while you quit hoping,
- 5:23Speaker 1: she's saying, you start believing. She's saying, that's when you're
- 5:26Speaker 1: on to something. If you can turn that hope into belief,
- 5:30Speaker 1: that hope into faith, the ability to believe in something
- 5:35Speaker 1: that you can't see. But the key though the faith
- 5:38Speaker 1: is you're believing in something that you can't see. See
- 5:43Speaker 1: hoping a little bit different from me Now, I'm pretty sure,
- 5:45Speaker 1: Like I say oftentimes to tell a lot of people
- 5:48Speaker 1: who can explain this thing a lot better than I
- 5:50Speaker 1: can to you, but just from my side of it
- 5:53Speaker 1: being as real as I can be rich, See, hope helps. Man.
- 5:58Speaker 1: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and then if you pray with some hope and God
- 6:03Speaker 1: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence
- 6:08Speaker 1: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now ain't
- 6:13Speaker 1: just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something that
- 6:17Speaker 1: I cannot see. Faith has been the key to my
- 6:24Speaker 1: entire existence, even when I didn't have any It was faith,
- 6:29Speaker 1: as I look back on it, that has gotten me here,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and not just faith, but my faith. See, you will
- 6:38Speaker 1: only get to where you're going in your life based
- 6:42Speaker 1: on your faith. See A lot of people get the
- 6:46Speaker 1: word faith confused, like what's your faith? And then they
- 6:49Speaker 1: started going down this whole list of all these different
- 6:52Speaker 1: religions out here. But really an essence. Man. When I
- 6:55Speaker 1: talk to people about faith, I'm talking to you about
- 6:58Speaker 1: your your belief. How much do you believe in the unseen?
- 7:05Speaker 1: How much do you believe in the things you can't see?
- 7:09Speaker 1: How much do you believe in the impossible? How much
- 7:13Speaker 1: do you believe see? Because faith is the belief in
- 7:19Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. Faith is the core of
- 7:25Speaker 1: all that is happening to me today. It is the
- 7:28Speaker 1: faith that I have in my relationship with God that
- 7:32Speaker 1: enables me to just oftentimes, if I stay on the
- 7:37Speaker 1: right course and believe a certain way and act a
- 7:41Speaker 1: certain way, his blessings just poor. They just come. And
- 7:48Speaker 1: it comes in a lot of little ways too. I've
- 7:50Speaker 1: started to notice, see, it ain't just a lot of
- 7:53Speaker 1: people think blessings is money and now man, that ain't it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It's coverage. It's every time my plane heads safe. It's
- 8:02Speaker 1: every time they predict bad weather and I get up
- 8:05Speaker 1: in the sky and it don't be no bad weather.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know this, This is favor. These are blessings that
- 8:12Speaker 1: get poured out to me. Somebody call me and offer
- 8:15Speaker 1: me something, not money, but an opportunity, you know something.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but I sent
- 8:24Speaker 1: this to you. I thought you might be interested in it.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Somebody has sent me a scripture, or somebody will send
- 8:29Speaker 1: me something that's favor, and it always comes at a
- 8:33Speaker 1: time when I need it the most. That's favor, that's
- 8:37Speaker 1: pouring out blessings. Now. I'm also the recipient of a
- 8:42Speaker 1: lot of other blessings too. You know, I've been blessed
- 8:46Speaker 1: with health. That's amazing blessing. Man. I've been blessed with
- 8:50Speaker 1: a spirit of not quitting. I've been blessed with the
- 8:54Speaker 1: ability to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility. Blessings come a
- 9:00Speaker 1: lot of ways. But once you tie into God, once
- 9:06Speaker 1: you tie in and you start doing the best you
- 9:09Speaker 1: can do, and you start asking for him to make
- 9:12Speaker 1: you a better person, to help shape and mold you
- 9:16Speaker 1: into the kind of man or person that he wants
- 9:19Speaker 1: you to be. You be amazed what God can do
- 9:22Speaker 1: with you. Man, if you just invite me in and
- 9:24Speaker 1: allow him to be a part of your life. I mean,
- 9:27Speaker 1: what you got to lose out there? Come on, if
- 9:30Speaker 1: you're sitting in the cell this morning, why why would
- 9:33Speaker 1: you not change? You have a chance to turn your
- 9:36Speaker 1: life around with a relationship with God. What you're waiting on?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Are you gonna just keep doing it like that? Huh? Really?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Come on, man, why would you do that to yourself?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Why would you not allow God to be a part
- 9:49Speaker 1: of your life so you can get the way He
- 9:51Speaker 1: want you to be. God got some big plans for you.
- 9:54Speaker 1: If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Right now. I'm talking about now in old w Now
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's your time to do this. Start your morning with gratitude,
- 10:14Speaker 1: meaning being thankful for all the things you have, small
- 10:18Speaker 1: and large that you can think of. Immediately after that,
- 10:22Speaker 1: you'll notice that will be a shift in your attitude.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Once that shift in your attitude has been attained, prepare,
- 10:31Speaker 1: buckle up, hold on tight, because now that has direct
- 10:35Speaker 1: correlation with your altitude. Gratitude, attitude, altitude. It all works together. Baby.
- 10:42Speaker 1: This is Steve Harvey Morning Show starring Shirley Strawberry, Colin
- 10:46Speaker 1: Farrell Junior. The legend that is Nephew Tommy can't leave
- 10:51Speaker 1: out the mouth of the South, straight out of the ship.
- 10:55Speaker 1: This should be forty eight followers. Yes, the ground she
- 11:00Speaker 1: presses everybody for Instagram pictures and if you get on
- 11:04Speaker 1: that you have to smile that act like you know, huh,
- 11:08Speaker 1: it's almost in the millions now, folks, ladies and gentlemen. Junior,
- 11:13Speaker 1: what's on your mind? Hey us? You know the fourth
- 11:16Speaker 1: of you last coming up? You know, I don't know
- 11:18Speaker 1: if you had a plan, but you think it'd be
- 11:20Speaker 1: very difficult for you to come to my apartment and
- 11:23Speaker 1: hang out. You know you think, oh no, oh no,
- 11:28Speaker 1: it won't be very difficult at all. No, let's talk
- 11:32Speaker 1: about a few things for a second. What are you

- 11:57Speaker 1: this this going to the pool. Yeah, this is the

- 12:26Speaker 1: is this grill at at the pool? What else would
- 12:31Speaker 1: it be like? Is it by your cabana? Is it
- 12:36Speaker 1: by what is it by the cabanna that you're gonna
- 12:40Speaker 1: be in? No, we gotta walk around the other side
- 12:43Speaker 1: by the by. That's the question. Is it's gonna be
- 12:47Speaker 1: hard for you to hang out with me because you
- 12:49Speaker 1: invite me over your place. I'm just inviting you to
- 12:52Speaker 1: man to hang out with you at all. It's about
- 12:54Speaker 1: damn the impossible for me to come to that community,

- 13:52Speaker 1: us today? Nev earlier. We are going to the book

- 20:52Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 20:57Speaker 1: the top of the hour and entertainment news the Dave
- 21:00Speaker 1: Chappelle's Theater at Dave Chappelle's High School, won't be named
- 21:03Speaker 1: after him after all, And the Bill Cosby's civil trial
- 21:07Speaker 1: while the jury awards a victim five hundred thousand dollars
- 21:11Speaker 1: in a sexual abuse claim against him. We'll talk about
- 21:14Speaker 1: all of these stories. Yeah, talk about all of these
- 21:17Speaker 1: stories at the top of the hour. But right now
- 21:20Speaker 1: it is time to ask the CLO Chief Love Officer,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey t and Lexington writes, I'm a single mom
- 21:28Speaker 1: and dating. My boyfriend is a sexter, and he sends
- 21:32Speaker 1: pictures of his body all the time. My daughter is
- 21:35Speaker 1: four and she plays games on my phone. Saturday, she
- 21:40Speaker 1: told my mother that she saw a picture of my
- 21:42Speaker 1: boyfriend's vagina on my phone. My mom and I laughed,
- 21:47Speaker 1: and then she advised me to dump him. How do
- 21:50Speaker 1: I get my mom to see it's innocent fun and
- 21:53Speaker 1: he's not a bad guy. Well what I'm not. I'm
- 21:57Speaker 1: not your daughter. Your store just saw his vagina. Now,
- 22:05Speaker 1: let's let's just deal with this part right here. First
- 22:08Speaker 1: of all, he's a sexton. It ain't just for fun.
- 22:12Speaker 1: He's sexted for a reason. Let's just stop that stupidly
- 22:15Speaker 1: right there. This ain't for innocent fun. He's trying to
- 22:18Speaker 1: draw the proper reaction. Somebody gonna bite, They're gonna hook up.
- 22:21Speaker 1: He ain't gonna be your bored for it no more.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But the fact that your young child gets exposed to
- 22:26Speaker 1: this foolishness. It's the danger in this whole thing. Listen
- 22:31Speaker 1: to your mother, serious, listen. Well you got to understand

- 29:01Speaker 1: All right, thank you. CLO. Coming up at the top
- 29:04Speaker 1: of the hour. We'll have some national and entertainment news
- 29:07Speaker 1: where you right after this. You're listening to show, all right. So,
- 29:14Speaker 1: months after being heckled at the Duke Ellington School of
- 29:17Speaker 1: the Arts in DC by students over the trans controversy,
- 29:21Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle was set to have a building on campus
- 29:25Speaker 1: renamed in his honor. Dave challenged both his fans and
- 29:30Speaker 1: the hecklers to raise money for his alma mater. If
- 29:33Speaker 1: his fans raised the most, his name would go on
- 29:36Speaker 1: the building. Fans won, and the Dave Chappelle Theater was
- 29:39Speaker 1: set to be unveiled yesterday at the Duke Ellington School
- 29:43Speaker 1: of the Arts and d C. However, there is a
- 29:45Speaker 1: turn of the tides. It was instead it will instead
- 29:49Speaker 1: be called the theater of artistic freedom and Expression. And
- 29:54Speaker 1: Dave says, when you say I can't say something, the
- 29:56Speaker 1: more urgent it is for me to say it. It
- 30:00Speaker 1: has nothing to do with what you're saying I can't say.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It has everything to do with my freedom of artistic expression.
- 30:07Speaker 1: So there you go, Steve, freedom of speech, freedom of
- 30:10Speaker 1: artistic fresh So he changed his huh, yeah, theater of
- 30:15Speaker 1: artistic freedom and expression. I'm with Dave Chappelle. Being four
- 30:20Speaker 1: day Chappelle does not mean I'm against anybody. See that's
- 30:25Speaker 1: the problem with taking your stand. If you take your stand,
- 30:30Speaker 1: it is now a day's you are against another stand. No,
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm just for me and what I believe and what
- 30:38Speaker 1: I am. I'm not anti anything. You're free to do
- 30:42Speaker 1: whatever you want to. Man, go live your life. Just
- 30:45Speaker 1: the life I'm living, professing, talking about and confessing too.
- 30:49Speaker 1: It's my life, that's it. Just like being pro black,
- 30:53Speaker 1: that doesn't mean you're anti white, or anti any other
- 30:56Speaker 1: or anything. Yeah. Just because we think black life shouldn't matter,
- 31:01Speaker 1: it doesn't mean we don't think any other lives matter.
- 31:04Speaker 1: It's just can our life matter just like everybody else's. See,
- 31:10Speaker 1: you can't have a freedom to carry a gun in
- 31:12Speaker 1: this country, but then you don't have freedom of speech.
- 31:15Speaker 1: You got the freedom to get a permit to come
- 31:18Speaker 1: and march down the street, and you a hate group
- 31:21Speaker 1: to tell me how much you hate me, But then
- 31:23Speaker 1: I can't tell you how much I hate you, or
- 31:26Speaker 1: disagree with you, or don't comply with you or make
- 31:30Speaker 1: fun of you. I'm sorry, man, It's just like you
- 31:34Speaker 1: can't tell a joke about nothing. You can't make fun
- 31:37Speaker 1: of nobody. Man. Yeah, this world we've been laughing at
- 31:43Speaker 1: being black since we got here. Welcome to the damn club. Now.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You don't pick the lifestyle or chose or been assigned
- 31:54Speaker 1: a lifestyle, and you don't want nobody to mention it. Right,
- 31:58Speaker 1: Big people getting taught talked about. White people get talked about,
- 32:01Speaker 1: Black people get talked about, Asian people get talked about,
- 32:04Speaker 1: Short people get talked about. You gonna get talked about
- 32:07Speaker 1: And does it stop anything? Are you are you still
- 32:10Speaker 1: not free to be who you are? You turn right
- 32:13Speaker 1: around with all this black stuff. We got to sit
- 32:16Speaker 1: here and deal with it. We got to deal with
- 32:17Speaker 1: voter suppression. We got to deal with Voting Rights Act.
- 32:21Speaker 1: We got to deal with police brutality, We got to
- 32:24Speaker 1: deal with racial profiling that. We gotta deal with zoning laws.
- 32:29Speaker 1: We gotta deal with being held out of the American dream,
- 32:33Speaker 1: with banking policies. We get all that right there. You
- 32:37Speaker 1: get talked about it today Chapelle Show. Now you want
- 32:40Speaker 1: to kill Dave Chapelle for what you ran up on
- 32:43Speaker 1: stage and everything? Okay, all right, okay, I deal. I'm
- 32:49Speaker 1: sorry man, we all do we all got some of this. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:53Speaker 1: and we've we've had it forever. All right, We're gonna
- 32:56Speaker 1: move on. Thank you for that. Steven Other Entertainment News,
- 33:00Speaker 1: Carl love what you got, okay, Steve Harvey. We talked
- 33:03Speaker 1: about this last week, the whole debate about Chris Brown
- 33:07Speaker 1: being better than Michael Jackson. Well, Chris did an interview
- 33:11Speaker 1: with Big Boy and said that's cap meaning that's a lie.
- 33:16Speaker 1: He said, hell now he ain't Michael Ryan Clark. Chris
- 33:25Speaker 1: went on to say, my personal take on it is
- 33:28Speaker 1: I wouldn't even be breathing or being able to sing
- 33:32Speaker 1: a song if that man didn't exist. There's no competing
- 33:37Speaker 1: with him. So there you go. Chris Brown. You've been
- 33:40Speaker 1: said I am not because you know what, but I
- 33:43Speaker 1: said last week, asked Chris Brown? Right, I said that
- 33:47Speaker 1: last week because it's a good dude. Yeah, the record straight,
- 33:52Speaker 1: Ryan Clark, that's cool. He just want to be able
- 33:54Speaker 1: to say something in sports, you know, he just want
- 33:56Speaker 1: to say him he played football Trent that day. Yeah.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Now you trended the don to go sit your hands
- 34:03Speaker 1: down somewhere because they' nobody by that but you. He
- 34:09Speaker 1: wasn't the onliest Chris Brown. Talented boy, he made you.
- 34:16Speaker 1: That's a making machine right down, man, and dancing phenomenal.
- 34:22Speaker 1: It defies gravity, all of that. You know. I saw
- 34:25Speaker 1: him do that take on the Remember the Time video
- 34:30Speaker 1: and it was cool. It wasn't Mike, but he know
- 34:35Speaker 1: that man, Yeah, he looks like two Mike. Oh you
- 34:39Speaker 1: need to run in here talking about you better than
- 34:40Speaker 1: Richard Pride? What what? Who said that? Man? Nobody? No
- 34:47Speaker 1: one with any sense. All right, We're gonna move on
- 34:50Speaker 1: and get to this last story of Jurius ordered Bill
- 34:53Speaker 1: Cosby to pay a woman half a million dollars five
- 34:56Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars in damages after he sexually assaulted her
- 35:00Speaker 1: as a minor back in the seventies. Cosby was not
- 35:03Speaker 1: in the courtroom when the verdict was read. According to
- 35:06Speaker 1: the Deadline, the victim's name is Judy Hughes. She sued
- 35:09Speaker 1: Cosby for sexual battery back in twenty fourteen, claiming the
- 35:14Speaker 1: assault occurred at the Playboy Mansion when she was a teenager.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Cosby claimed the Fifth Amendments right against self incrimination and
- 35:23Speaker 1: did not testify in the two weeks civil trial. He
- 35:26Speaker 1: was sentenced to up to ten years behind bars, but
- 35:29Speaker 1: for in twenty eighteen for rape, but his conviction was
- 35:33Speaker 1: tossed out last year after he'd served. Well, you know,
- 35:36Speaker 1: he got to pay. He admitted to it. You got
- 35:38Speaker 1: to pay them. Yeah, if you got to go, it's
- 35:41Speaker 1: five hundred thousand. You out now, all right, We're moving on.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll tell
- 35:48Speaker 1: you about another mean Karen. This one is called lawnmower Karen.
- 35:53Speaker 1: We'll tell you about it right after this. You're listening
- 35:56Speaker 1: to Dave Harvey Morning Show. Well, a woman is being
- 36:00Speaker 1: called out as lawnmore Karen after she seemed to have
- 36:05Speaker 1: ruined a neighbor's wedding on purpose. A clip on TikTok
- 36:08Speaker 1: shows her moving her her mowing her grass as the
- 36:12Speaker 1: bride starts to walk down the aisle in the backyard wedding.
- 36:15Speaker 1: The person posting the video was a guest and says
- 36:19Speaker 1: they asked the woman to stop so they could hear
- 36:22Speaker 1: the vows, but Lawnmore Karen refused. So she's just mowing
- 36:27Speaker 1: her lawn while a wedding is going on in the
- 36:29Speaker 1: in the neighbors. You know, come on, come on, man,
- 36:32Speaker 1: it calls somebody else happen, right, yeah, yeah, right, yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 1: They couldn't be over there in your miserable life. Now
- 36:38Speaker 1: you don't want to get young girl, have a little
- 36:40Speaker 1: just let us say, oh yeah, I do. It's cut
- 36:42Speaker 1: your little machine after it happened. Yeah, that's it. They
- 36:46Speaker 1: don't even take that long. So so the question is
- 36:50Speaker 1: Steve and the guys, what would you do for revenge?
- 36:52Speaker 1: Back at Lawnmore Karen whole she's over there mowing along
- 36:57Speaker 1: and you're trying to give me pity. So I'm going
- 36:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna it out. I'm petty as it comes, so
- 37:02Speaker 1: I've been I'm gonna turn my lama on four five
- 37:04Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning, I'm gonna get your ass. I'm
- 37:06Speaker 1: benna find a way for you to be miserable. I'm
- 37:10Speaker 1: going to make you miserable. Okay, you bet not have
- 37:14Speaker 1: no pool. It's gonna be clothe rocks all in n
- 37:17Speaker 1: some ways to get you. Man. In the middle of
- 37:24Speaker 1: the night, I'm gonna take your steps off the front port.
- 37:29Speaker 1: She walks on the door. As soon as you walk,
- 37:33Speaker 1: step your ass right on off into nothing. Yeah. Yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I think when you think you're
- 37:41Speaker 1: going to work that morning. Your times is a flat.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I know that off you drop. You can't write it
- 37:49Speaker 1: off uber so. But okay, let's try to look at this.
- 37:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna call in for a fresh load of manure
- 37:57Speaker 1: fertilizer and give him the address to her house and
- 38:02Speaker 1: just have them just dump it in the dryway in
- 38:04Speaker 1: the fun y'all freshman first lives. Put that in. Now,
- 38:09Speaker 1: we got the right group of guys that ask for Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go to the
- 38:18Speaker 1: bathroom in your car. Wait, wait, you ain't gonna make
- 38:27Speaker 1: it work. Ain't gonna be right The next morning. I
- 38:29Speaker 1: probably aren't petty. I'm petty. I'll in the middle of
- 38:34Speaker 1: the night paint all your windows black so you'll never
- 38:39Speaker 1: see the light of day. About looking at another wind,
- 38:43Speaker 1: be scared as hell when you wake up. You ain't
- 38:45Speaker 1: gonna know what's going on. Ain't gonna see I think
- 38:50Speaker 1: we I think we get the message. I hope you
- 38:55Speaker 1: get it. Lawnmore Karen. All right, coming up in thirty
- 38:58Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, we'll talk about summer flings.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show. With a return
- 39:08Speaker 1: of summer, many singles often put aside their search for
- 39:11Speaker 1: true love to enjoy some just fun, you know, some
- 39:15Speaker 1: fun summer flings. But a new survey suggests that such
- 39:18Speaker 1: flings don't look so appealing to many. A new dating
- 39:21Speaker 1: dot com survey finds that fifty two percent of singles
- 39:24Speaker 1: would prefer to find a serious relationship this summer, as
- 39:28Speaker 1: opposed to just casual sex. While most admit summer flings
- 39:32Speaker 1: including one night stands and friends with benefits, are enjoyable,
- 39:36Speaker 1: the majority say they want deeper personal intimacy. Okay, so
- 39:41Speaker 1: they don't want just that's a woman making that statement.
- 39:46Speaker 1: It's a new dating dot Com survey and it didn't
- 39:49Speaker 1: say women. It said fifty two percent of singles. So
- 39:53Speaker 1: that's guys too, Steve, Well, but there are guys that
- 39:57Speaker 1: wan't something more newful to tell you the truth? You know.
- 40:00Speaker 1: But if, but if everybody will quit playing this game
- 40:03Speaker 1: and just tell the truth about how you feel, that's
- 40:06Speaker 1: one thing. Tell the truth about how you feel. I
- 40:10Speaker 1: didn't say, tell the truth about what you did. Damn truth.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Now let the record show. Oh yeah, yeah, tell the
- 40:22Speaker 1: truth about how you feel. It's different from you don't
- 40:25Speaker 1: ever tell truth about what you did. True man, y'all.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Y'all don't even know live rules. We don't what one knife?
- 40:41Speaker 1: What's wrong with the one knife? Flame? One night? You
- 40:43Speaker 1: know what I mean? That's what I was going to
- 40:44Speaker 1: ask you. Guys. So have you had a flame that
- 40:47Speaker 1: you were serious about or or that was fun at
- 40:50Speaker 1: summer flame? You know that maybe turned into a real
- 40:53Speaker 1: romance at that moment when I get in that bid,
- 40:55Speaker 1: which I am dead serious. Yeah, at that moment, yea,
- 40:59Speaker 1: no games being play. We are dead serious. Yeah, everything, Yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 1: every there's no kno can focus on. And after the summer,
- 41:08Speaker 1: after the summer is over, it's over. Yeah, I'll try
- 41:14Speaker 1: to go into fall with me just summer after I
- 41:18Speaker 1: get on the plane. What did you want? What did
- 41:27Speaker 1: you calling? Fuck? These flings have turned into a real romance. Wow, guys,
- 41:33Speaker 1: no relationship at all? Or do you regret you you've
- 41:37Speaker 1: ever did not turn a fling into something real? Fling
- 41:41Speaker 1: into regret? No? I just I like to just I
- 41:49Speaker 1: used to like to just fling it around as long
- 41:51Speaker 1: you can fling it around, and then yeah, okay, uh
- 41:58Speaker 1: okay much. But you know, wasn't that wasn't back then?
- 42:03Speaker 1: Wasn't those social media done? When you lost the person?
- 42:06Speaker 1: They asked? What? I don't know? Where were you gonna say, Junior?
- 42:14Speaker 1: I'm saying to be fair, surely you know I wasn't
- 42:16Speaker 1: always everything into fleeing either. You know, I wouldn't always
- 42:19Speaker 1: have been saying in the fling, some people don't want
- 42:21Speaker 1: to fling with me? No more. It just hadn't win it.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't out him. I wouldn't, Yeah, I would out
- 42:28Speaker 1: he Just kidding every fling I was in. Sometimes your
- 42:30Speaker 1: fleeing was just a flick, wasn't. No he he had
- 42:37Speaker 1: I just you know something two way streets? So what
- 42:45Speaker 1: about the one that got away. Is there one? Maybe
- 42:48Speaker 1: from there's always one? Yeah, and it hurts you to
- 42:53Speaker 1: your care would get think about it? Yeah? And like
- 42:56Speaker 1: Steve said, you can't find them anymore, or if you
- 42:59Speaker 1: do see them in there with someone else, they don't
- 43:02Speaker 1: won't you? No, mom? I found after social media stuff
- 43:07Speaker 1: came out. I found really they didn't look the same
- 43:11Speaker 1: though the best look was in that flame. I blew
- 43:19Speaker 1: that picture about twelve different ways. So I think what
- 43:28Speaker 1: we should get out of this is that um singles
- 43:32Speaker 1: sometimes are looking for more than just flings. Okay, this song,
- 43:37Speaker 1: that's what you got out of it? Yeah, what did
- 43:40Speaker 1: you get out of it? Tommy flaying until you can't playing?
- 43:43Speaker 1: No moment coming up, Carlo. We're just working with a

- 44:11Speaker 1: this guy's The cookie lady is back in town. Okay

- 45:04Speaker 1: I don't I don't even know how to say this
- 45:06Speaker 1: to you. My my um. Like I said, my name
- 45:09Speaker 1: is Mark. I followed my wife today and I right
- 45:14Speaker 1: now I'm at a park and I'm almost certain that
- 45:19Speaker 1: my wife is right now. I'm about two or three
- 45:24Speaker 1: hundred yards away, but I'm almost certain my wife is
- 45:27Speaker 1: holding hands, uh with your husband, Jason. So you see
- 45:34Speaker 1: my husband at the park with with your wife. How
- 45:37Speaker 1: long have you been following them? I followed my wife
- 45:40Speaker 1: this morning because I just was still in like real
- 45:42Speaker 1: weird about you know, something going on. And I followed
- 45:46Speaker 1: her and I'm at the park right now, and you
- 45:49Speaker 1: know this, I think this is I think she's with Jason.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I think she's with your husband. What tide? What type
- 45:56Speaker 1: of called you? Do you see Jason in Alexis? What
- 45:59Speaker 1: color it? Um? White? Okay, that's him. So he's supposed
- 46:05Speaker 1: to he went to work today and this Sunday and
- 46:07Speaker 1: there to him overtown. That's supposed to been doing at
- 46:09Speaker 1: work today and he's at a part with your wife
- 46:13Speaker 1: close to them. So I'm not close to him, you know,
- 46:16Speaker 1: I tried to stay back. Oh wait wait wait wait
- 46:18Speaker 1: wait wait wait, hold up, she just kissed him. She
- 46:21Speaker 1: just gets who my wife just kissed your husband? What
- 46:25Speaker 1: do you say your wife? Your wife's name is again?
- 46:27Speaker 1: My wife name is Veronica or Ronica? Okay, what part that? Uh?
- 46:32Speaker 1: They are Langley Park. I'm at Langley Park right now.
- 46:36Speaker 1: I'm I'm about two hundred yards away from them, and
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm looking at she just kissed him again. I cannot
- 46:42Speaker 1: play this man. I know. Well, you're telling me that
- 46:45Speaker 1: your your wife is kissing out and husband. Well, how
- 46:48Speaker 1: did you get my number? That's hold up? Back, then up?
- 46:51Speaker 1: How did you get my nuther? And who are you?
- 46:53Speaker 1: Like I'm saying, my name is Mark, a buddy of
- 46:56Speaker 1: mine named fitz Fitzgerald. Fitz knows he knows Jay, I
- 47:00Speaker 1: don't know it's Gerald. I dont want to know how
- 47:02Speaker 1: you getting my number. Fitz gave me your Fitz told
- 47:06Speaker 1: me he knew Jason and some kind of the way
- 47:09Speaker 1: he got me your phone number. I don't even know
- 47:11Speaker 1: who we got your number from. All I know is

- 48:19Speaker 1: Take your over that to the park and give him
- 48:22Speaker 1: the phone. I don't have time for this. You're sitting

- 53:26Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 53:28Speaker 1: gonna read that one right here, right now. That's what
- 53:31Speaker 1: we're gonna buggle up and hold on tight. We got
- 53:33Speaker 1: it for you. Here. It is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Subject the Cookie Lady is back in town. Dear Stephen
- 53:41Speaker 1: Shirley I'm a forty three year old woman and I
- 53:44Speaker 1: have a small group of friends who have all known
- 53:47Speaker 1: each other since high school. We've been strict about quarantining,
- 53:51Speaker 1: so we agreed to meet once a week for drinks
- 53:54Speaker 1: and dinner. It's really helped us feel better and maintain
- 53:57Speaker 1: a sense of normalcy with all the craziness going on
- 54:01Speaker 1: in the world. About a month ago, another girl who
- 54:04Speaker 1: went to high school with us moved back into town.
- 54:08Speaker 1: But there's just one problem. She's slept with all of
- 54:12Speaker 1: our husbands, yes, all of them. This girl was very
- 54:18Speaker 1: promiscuous and yeah, she was very promiscuous in high school
- 54:22Speaker 1: and was known for being the girl that all the
- 54:24Speaker 1: guys went to for some easy cookie. She even gave
- 54:28Speaker 1: a cookie away when she was in college. So now
- 54:31Speaker 1: me and the group are concerned because she reached out
- 54:34Speaker 1: to us and said that she would love to be
- 54:36Speaker 1: in our weekly gatherings. The problem is that we don't
- 54:40Speaker 1: trust her and we don't really think she's going to
- 54:42Speaker 1: fit in well with us. Yes, it was a long
- 54:45Speaker 1: time ago, but some of that resentment is still there. Also,
- 54:49Speaker 1: she is still single and in much better shape than
- 54:52Speaker 1: the rest of us, who've had several children. We are
- 54:56Speaker 1: afraid that our husbands will see her and have flashbacks
- 54:59Speaker 1: of how she was high school and college. My husband
- 55:02Speaker 1: saw a photo of her on Facebook and said he
- 55:05Speaker 1: couldn't believe how good she still looks. I'm not sure
- 55:08Speaker 1: why he was comfortable enough to tell me that, but
- 55:11Speaker 1: it really put me on edge. I called my best
- 55:14Speaker 1: girlfriend and told her that I don't think we should
- 55:16Speaker 1: bring this woman into our close knit group. She agreed.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Do you think we're being overly sensitive about this? No, nope,
- 55:24Speaker 1: I don't think you're being overly sensitive at all. I
- 55:26Speaker 1: think you're right on point. I think you have a
- 55:28Speaker 1: reason to be concerned about girlfriend. This woman, the cookie
- 55:33Speaker 1: lady as you call her, has slept with all of
- 55:36Speaker 1: your husbands. They weren't your husband's then. But you know
- 55:40Speaker 1: that was a long time ago, but the thought of
- 55:42Speaker 1: it probably still pains you a little bit or something.
- 55:46Speaker 1: You still feel some kind of way about it, and
- 55:49Speaker 1: you know this woman could be trouble. She could be trouble.
- 55:52Speaker 1: You don't know. Can people change? Yes, absolutely, they can change.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Most definitely did she change? We don't know who knows
- 56:00Speaker 1: if she's changed or not. But there is a reason
- 56:03Speaker 1: you don't trust her. I think I would take this
- 56:08Speaker 1: as a wake up call, though I really would. I'm
- 56:10Speaker 1: switching gears here a little bit. I would take this
- 56:13Speaker 1: as a wake up call because your husband, you said
- 56:16Speaker 1: in the letter, commented when you showed him a picture
- 56:20Speaker 1: of her on Facebook that she still looks good and
- 56:24Speaker 1: he felt very comfortable saying that to you. Red flag.
- 56:29Speaker 1: So she's in great shape, you're saying, and you guys
- 56:33Speaker 1: aren't because you've had children, you know, which means that
- 56:37Speaker 1: your friends aren't in good shape either. They've had children too,
- 56:41Speaker 1: and you said several So I think what you and
- 56:43Speaker 1: your girls could do and maybe should do, instead of
- 56:46Speaker 1: meeting to drink, you know, with the whole group drink
- 56:49Speaker 1: and eat, maybe just the ladies could start like a
- 56:53Speaker 1: diet club, start working out together. Okay, all right now,
- 56:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna remember that comment, right. I mean, maybe you
- 57:01Speaker 1: guys care on him, not a down and and uh,
- 57:05Speaker 1: you know, so, I think maybe to something like this,
- 57:10Speaker 1: you your ladies can invite the cookie lady h you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: to join you for something like that, just the girls,
- 57:16Speaker 1: just the ladies, no men, no husbands. This way, I
- 57:20Speaker 1: think you ladies will have a chance to meet with
- 57:22Speaker 1: her feel her out, you know, see if if she's changed,
- 57:26Speaker 1: See if you guys want to take it any further
- 57:28Speaker 1: with her, if you in the in the future do
- 57:30Speaker 1: want to bring her around your husband. You got to see.
- 57:32Speaker 1: People do change. But I think you know, if you're
- 57:36Speaker 1: feeling not so good about the way you look because
- 57:38Speaker 1: of what your husband said about her, that's a good
- 57:40Speaker 1: time to meet up and do something about it. Steve Well,
- 57:46Speaker 1: normally I don't start at the back of the letter,
- 57:48Speaker 1: but that's where Sirley, you started, so I feel compelled
- 57:51Speaker 1: to do the same thing after this whole letter. The
- 57:55Speaker 1: question is, do you think we're being overly sensitive about this? No? No,
- 58:04Speaker 1: Why do I think you're not being overly sensitive? Three things.
- 58:07Speaker 1: I think y'all scared. I think y'all should be scared.
- 58:13Speaker 1: And I think she could have changed, but your husbands
- 58:17Speaker 1: ain't interested in change. Now, let us begin with the
- 58:22Speaker 1: letter forty three. Went to college with this girl. You
- 58:27Speaker 1: get together with all your friends, y'all with the school,
- 58:29Speaker 1: with doing the quarantine every Friday, y'all having a good time.
- 58:33Speaker 1: About a month ago, another girl went to high school
- 58:35Speaker 1: with y'all, moved back into town. Here she comes, but
- 58:39Speaker 1: it's just one problem. She has slept with all our husbands, Yes,
- 58:44Speaker 1: all of them. Well, damn, how many of y'all listen?
- 58:48Speaker 1: Because that ain't that ain't got a number, all of them,
- 58:52Speaker 1: every last one of them. We need to do some
- 58:55Speaker 1: testing in this little group him, We need we need
- 59:02Speaker 1: to do some damn testing. Is this little group right here?
- 59:06Speaker 1: Ain't y'all being extra frenny? Yeah, hey, lady, I know
- 59:11Speaker 1: you didn't think we're gonna go like this, but I
- 59:13Speaker 1: just want to throw that out. This girl was very
- 59:18Speaker 1: promiscuous in high school. There's no being that girl that
- 59:22Speaker 1: all the guys went to for some easy cookie. Everybody.
- 59:26Speaker 1: She even gave a cookie away when she was in college.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Oh so did what she do? Well? Hold on, hold on,
- 59:34Speaker 1: and I blame she the stadium, you know, concessions lady,
- 59:39Speaker 1: cookie hair, get your cookaes hair. She ain't even calling
- 59:45Speaker 1: it the cookie in the first place. With your book. Look,
- 59:49Speaker 1: we'll have her too. Of Steve's response coming up at
- 59:52Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hours, So don't go anywhere.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Subject today of the Strawberry Letter. The cookie Lady is
- 59:58Speaker 1: back in town. Get your cookie here. We'll be right back.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: You're listening. All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters. Subject the Cookie Lady is back in town.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Forty three year old lady got a group of friends.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: They went to school together. They all get together once
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: a week doing this COVID to help a deal with
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the craziness day. All being quarantined so everybody's safe. They
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: feel comfortable on another um they got about a month ago,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: another girl from their school came back to town. But
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: here's the problem. The girl is coming back to town
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: to slept with all of the group's husbands. All of them.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Ain't missed, no damn body clean, sweet total bow to everybody.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Heya cockasa everybody. She just come out the castle and
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: blow the trumpet. Coocas Ah, you're crazy. She even gave
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: the cookie away when she was in college. Now you
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: and the group is concerned, and rightfully so, because she
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: didn't reached out and says she would love to be
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: in on that weekly gatherers How she found out about
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the gathering? Oh, for her had just come back into
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: town for a month and find out about these weekly gatherings.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Maybe one of your husbands said, you know what day
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: they get together every Friday. Because if y'all surprised about it,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: where when did they get the information? Unless y'all small
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: ass town is really really small. Now this whole group
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: has been affiliated with one another. The first thing we
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: need to do, we need some testing done in this group.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Let's just go back over there. We need some damn
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: testing going on in this time, right and it ain't COVID.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I ain't talking about Kobe. We need to get some
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: testing done all right now. The problem is that we
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: don't trust her, and we really don't think she's gonna
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: fit in well with us. Oh you don't think she'll
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: fit in well with y'all, but you ain't ask y'all's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: husband stough see what they think, you know? So, now
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: here we go, people change, things change. Oh now she
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: just slept with all y'all's men. Times have changed. It
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: was a long time ago. But some of that resented
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: me is there also now here we go, she's still
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: single and in much better shape than the rest of
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: us who've had several children. He'll go to damn problem
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: right here. She still banging. Oh now, Shelly surprised me.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Her answer Tom about since y'all get together every Friday,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and y'all are a little worried because she's still fine.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Shirley did what calling them won't let me ever do.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I can't fashi, ain't nobody I get called out? Oh
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: but now you're talking about instead of sitting around drinking,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: why don't y'all's ass get together and eat the right
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: damned foods instead of drinking, Why don't y'all have celery
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: juice and chew on some carriage or something and try
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to get some of that weight off y'all's ass instead
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: of sitting over here and there, here comes this little, fine,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: little smoking ass thing that your husband saw on Facebook
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and had the nerve to tell you he couldn't believe
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: how good she still looked. Don't let this girl in
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: your group. She can't get in this group. It's a problem.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: She's a Facebook problem. Now you don't think your husband
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: de said to the other hoods, and man, you've seen someone,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: so you need to see this thing right here. She
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: still got it now, I surely said. Now, first of all,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: your husband is stupid. Let me just extract them to
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Your husband is the biggest damn idiot I've ever seen. Now,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: y'all gonna let her skinny ass in the group, still fine,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: still banging, she's single, she ain't gave birth to no kids.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Now here she comes. I don't think we have a
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: solution to this letter except ukn't let her banging ass
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: back in this group. You called your girlfriend and you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: told her you don't think that, and your girlfriend agreed
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: because she looked her up on Facebook too and said, large,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: do you think we're being overly sensitive? No? I don't.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Now do people change? Yes, they change, and obviously she
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: has changed for the better. Because when a woman getting
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: in her forties and still holding it together, that's a
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: bad chick right there. And if they get in their
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: fifties and still holding together, that's a bad chick right there. Yes, see,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: cost the chances of everybody holding it together in their
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: farties in fifties get slimmer and slimmer. So now you're
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: gonna invite You're gonna invite the fat person to the
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: to the pack eaton contest. How you think that's gonna
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: work out? This is a sad thing, Yes it is.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Yes it is because Shirley, And according to Shirley, it
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: is good to do. And all this happy hour y'all
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: having start bringing Celby to these happy hours. As Shirley's suggested,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: you could have had a va instead of that. Damn
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Margaret Reader. Take a picture of that girl off of
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Facebook and bring it to the next meeting, y'all ask
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: quit eating? All right? Thank you? Steve Poster comments Today's

- 1:06:35Speaker 1: I thought about this. I'm having a draft party. I
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: just want because I want you to just come through
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: many Man, he's on the same Is this the same
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: pool that you finn happen? No, no, no, no, I'm
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: having hit that the ahad to meet Ryn the corning. No,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you get the Chase lones with your combat. You gotta
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: sitting like I'm having it at the house. You're gonna
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: love it now it's giving in the water, y'all know.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's gonna be at the house. And
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: there's a few rules I need you to go by now,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: just a just rule. Number one, don't come in your car.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Don't come in your car. Your car too nice? You
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: got any vehicles with like a doe ding in it?
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: A doe ding, yeah, like it's been hit. Yeah, just
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: like you know somebody opened day though it hit your dough.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Don't don't come in your car where with my cart?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Where part somebody where they had to open the dough? Okay,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: that ain't gonna happen. Okay, so I got that whatever, Okay,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: he gonna number Do you mind using the coasters because
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I don't need no rings on my one time? Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: yea yeah, I'm real good with coasters. Okay, cool? Do
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: you mind eating for you get here? I ain't gonna
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: have a lot of food like you had so grew
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: on the pack of boy, that's fine, I'll fine. You're
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: crazy Ji Julia let me ask your question. I ain't
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: trying to be you know, like not your friend nothing.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: But it's the place we come in, the same place
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: that you zooming in right now. That's four a square
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: feet of it right here. Yeah, how many? How many
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: people coming to the draft party? Julie, Oh, I'm gonna
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: have it's gonna be me you a car. And that's
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: another thing. All conversations got to be on the patio
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: because if you say ABC in here, you be talked
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: to a lot of high level exists. If you say
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: ABC and here, Alexa here, and she gonna turn the
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: channel to ABC. So you're gonna have to go outside
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: when you talk in here. You can't just say what
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you want in a minute. But didn't you just say
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: how many people can fit on your balcony? That's two
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: at a time? That's just two, like it's three of
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: y'all though. Yeah, the car gonna be here by yourself
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: till we get back out there called by his self. Yeah,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: and then then we switch to make room. We're gonna
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: have to set your Alexa box outside in the hall
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: because she obviously taking in too much. Well, you guys
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: have fun. Sounds like fun, all right? Coming up next,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: parenting on the plane? What are the rules? We'll talk
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: about that right after this. You're listening to show. All right,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: child in the seat behind me. There is a kid
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: in the seat behind me on a recent flight. He
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: has to be about ten years old. His parents are asleep.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: He's playing the drums on his trade table. I've turned around.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: He's not getting the hint. So here's the question. How
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: do you parent other people's children when they're banging on
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: your seat? You know, no child should really have a
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: six hour flight, right, So what are the rules? Is
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the question for parents on the plane? What's the rules?
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: If you lean forward as far as you can, your
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: whole body, lean forward, and then just throw your whole
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: back into that seat, all the way back, and throw
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: his little ass back into his seat, just like that.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I promise you you're quick banging on that thing. Yeah,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: bush dead in his full head with the black and yeah.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: That's one way. Yeah. Another way to do it is
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: just turn around in your seat and say hey, m
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: F and just realized then he sicks that all shock him?
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Or reach your hand behind you and grab one of
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: them drumsticks and then snapping in half and then sleep
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the baby is bored. It's a long flight, you know, baby,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: got to find something else. You'd be on back of
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: this damn chair and kicking kick it. Oh god, I
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: hate that. Or get up and go to the bathroom.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Get up and go to the bathroom, and then on
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: your way back, just lean down. I'm beat your ass
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: in his ear, but make sure you wet your lips
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: so when you touch his ear here feel some kind
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: of way anymore rules. I have seen some crazy stuff
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: on the plane, man. I hadn't seen some kids out
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: of control. I haven't seen something run up and down
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: as I didn't seen an Yeah that's a hot man.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Well you know, I'm on some really really long flights. Man,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I've seen some kids that were like amazingly well behaved.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I gotta give my son Jason credit man because his kids, man, wow, wow,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: they're good on the plane man. Oh amazing. But his
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: kids are great, man, I've never I've never seen kids
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: like this before because they take on him and his
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: wife's personality. They're very kind and cool people. His wife
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: is probably the sweetest little person I've ever met, and
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: that you didn't have that exact to meet. They sit
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: on a plane little Joey wakes up. Joey and Ez
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: will wake up. They don't even cry when they wake up.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: They just wake up. They being They started playing and
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: they play pain. You had to going in and get it.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: When they see you there, stand up, want you to
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: pick them up. They never cry. I ain't never seen
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: them liking, man, it's such a so they've been on
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: some long flights. Man, They sit there, they talk, watching
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: a little movies on their little screens. Wow. Good, what's
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: the worst you on a plane? Oh, I've seen Holland
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the entire time. But but I felt bad for the
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: baby because I thought the baby might have had the
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: ear infection or something bad for that man, because you
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: could tell when the child is screaming from pain instead
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: of I want to walk or something like that, that's
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: a different cry. And this baby was in pain. I
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: felt really really bad for the baby. But I felt
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: hope the mother was just she was frowning. Oh my god,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: she knew that everybody on the plane with she was
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: walking up and down the eye with the baby. She
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: was trying everything. Flight attendance was trying to help him,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: help her. It wasn't nothing working. Man. Then this pilot
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: came out old old dude like somebody's grandfather. Took the baby,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: and baby just calmed right on down. Got really. Old
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: dude said, there you guys walking, and just hold him
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: close to your chest and hum. He wrapped the baby
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: up real tight and started humming. And that's how you
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: used to put BJ to sleep. Yeah, I'll put BJ
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: on my chest. He b squirming because he had separation,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: uh dis order, would call it with me. He just
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: lose his little rabbit ass mind. Hey man, she gone.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: She ain't fry to come back, and she was happy
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: when she left, So the same way you feel about
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: being away from them. All right? Thanks up coming up

- 1:16:43Speaker 1: the way I am. I'm gonna pass this question? Were
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: moving on for you? Yeah? This, And I'm sitting up
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: here with my league up on the desk right now
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: thinking if it wouldn't now just slum, I'm beating fell
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: out this damn changing I slide out on the floor.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: All right. So would you rather walk barefoot in a
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: public restroom? Barefoot in a restroom? Or would you rather
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: get food poisoning? I gonna take that food poison out
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: to be food poisoning. Yeah, let me gonna start throwing
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: up because I'm not walking barefoot in that public restroom.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I'm throwing up either way. I'm just yeah. But I
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: got the blow torch the bottom of my feet with

- 1:17:56Speaker 1: If you're keeping score, all right, would you rather say,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: save the world but die as a hero in the process,

- 1:18:08Speaker 1: this world? What is your trunt? Die? Why would I
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: do that? I'd rather just be here and see what
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the here gonna have me? Yell, I ain't never asked me.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: No hero, No damn way. I just want to be
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: the survival last one. Would you rather scream at each other?
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Or would you rather give each other the silent treatment?
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Give each other the silent treatment? I really I take
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: the side of treatment. Take take that because I want
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: you to be quiet? Ay, damn one? All right? All right,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: We're coming up at fort Star Games, going up at
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour. It's our last break
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: of the day and we'll close out the show with
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to all right, Steve,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day on this Thursday. UM,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: take us home with some closing remarks. Uh. You know,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: somebody sent me something a while back. You know, I
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: keep stuff that people send me because a lot of
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: people send me things when I know I'm going through something,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: a lot of people send me stuff when just to say, Steve,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: if you're out there talking, man, here's a thought for you.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: And one of the things that I've learned in my
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: life is that all of us are going to be tested.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: We're gonna be tested and tried throughout our life. Uh.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: It's these tests that are presented to us that has
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: allows us an opportunity to grow. Every test that comes
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: your way is an opportunity for you to gain some
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: valuable knowledge from it, and so throughout life you will
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: always be tested. Everything that happens to you is not
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: just because the devil is busy. Some thing's happen to
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: you because God has to present certain things for you
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: in order for you to learn how to deal with it,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: which better prepares you for what you ask for. Later
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: in life, or to prepare you for what God is
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: going to present to you later in life. So when
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you're going through hardships, you got to understand these hardships
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: are preparing you for the future. And like I've been
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: saying a lot over the past few weeks, if you
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: think about all your hardships and your tough days and
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: your rough days, your actual record for surviving bad days
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: all the way up until this point, y'all is one hundred.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: And that's a pretty good track record. Now, in this
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: test that God is going to present to you, somebody
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: sent this to me on a plaque. And it's said
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: that life has many ways of testing a person's will.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I want you to hear me clearly. It says life
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: has many ways of testing a person's will, either though
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: by having nothing happened at all, or by having everything
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: happened all at once. Do you know how true of
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: a statement that is? You get tested by first of all,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: a person's will get tested by either having nothing happened
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: at all. You know how hard it is man when
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing going on? Do you know how
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: hard it is man when you can't get nothing popping?
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: You know how difficult life can be. Man, when you
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: just can't seem to get it right. Do you know
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: the difficulties you face. Man, ain't nothing clicking on none
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: of the cylinders. Man, ain't nothing happening at at all.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: That's a test, Man, that's a real hard test. Man.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: That's when you're sitting up that man, going Lord, Heavenly Father.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: And now it's preparing you and conditioning you to get
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: closer to God, because I'm telling you, man, you can't
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: making it in this world without God. Now you can
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: keep on trying this way if you want to, but
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I got news for you. You can lock in on
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: this room. This is a fact. You can't make it
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: through this life without no God. You can't do it.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: You cannot do it. It's too difficult. And one of
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: the tests to get you to draw closer to Him
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: is sometimes a person's will is tested by having nothing
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: happened at all. But here's the other way you get tested.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: How about this one? Or by having everything happened all
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: that wants? How many times that didn't happen? Man, When
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: it just felt like man, it's raining cats and dogs
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: on you. It's almost like, man, you can't catch a
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: breaking ten minute ago you couldn't catch a break to
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: get something happened, and now all of a suddenly looked
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: like you can't stop this thing from happening. It's just
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: snowballing on you. Man, that's a test, you know what.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: God has wanted you to get close to him too,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: so he can take some of that weight up off you,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: so you can take your troubles to him and tied
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: to him, so he can prove to you that you
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: ain't in this thing by yourself. See, you ain't in
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: life by yourself. When it ain't you ain't got nothing happening,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: and you ain't got and you ain't by yourself in
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: life when you got everything happened. You need God. Man,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I kid you not. And you know how I know
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: what I'm talking about because you're looking at a man
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: who tried it without him. And I knew better. My
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: mom was a Sunday school teacher. I knew better than
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: to turn away and try my way, but I did
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: it for years and I made you know what I mean,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I made a mess out of myself. I was turning
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: myself into a big old glob or nothing. But he
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: got my undivided attention one day when I was at
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: a real low point. On one of them days where
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I thought I'm gonna rise no more, on one of
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: them days where I thought, man, I didn't had enough
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: of this. I ain't never thought about killing myself. I
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: ain't never thought about checking out the thought. It's never
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: crossed my mind. But I'm just talking about I just
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: had some days, man, we're just felt like, man, this
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: is like, yeah, I can't do no more this hire
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: When I was living in that car, I had some
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: days man, when I just said, Man, I can't do
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: this no more. I'm gonna go home. Man, I'm gonna
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: go home my mom and daddy. Man, just see if
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: I can stay there until I find a job. I
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: almost did that because, you know what, what nothing happening
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: at all. I couldn't get nothing clicking. And right about then, man,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I just say, as Scottison, man, can you just show
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: me assigned that it's going to be our next thing?
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I know I called as some machine in my mama's house,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: and it was a message and it was a guy
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: named Chuck Chuck Sutton that showed time with your power.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Next thing, you know, man, next thing? You know? That
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: weekend I was on TV for the very first time,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: and do you know something that I've been on TV
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: every since then, But it was real dog for me
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: for a minute. But he always comes. Life got a
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: lot of ways of testing the piece's will, either about
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: having nothing happening at all or about having everything happening
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: all at once. But either way, it's a test you
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: can pass. You've done all the rest of them, ain't
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: you got through it? Yeah? Yeah, that's it. Keep your faith,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: put some God in your life. For all Steve Ivery contests,
