- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a suit on the don giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them more like the milking bu bu things. And it's
- 0:20Speaker 1: true good Steve listening together for stunt joy by me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta turn ing the you you are. You gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn out, turn, got to turn them out
- 1:45Speaker 1: to turn to turn the water to the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby now, h huh. I shall will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 1: come on, y'all dig me now. One and only Steve
- 2:11Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show man. Is God good to me? Unbelievable? Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 1: it is? And and I can only attribute it to
- 2:19Speaker 1: one thing. It's just been a turnaround in my life.
- 2:23Speaker 1: It's it's been me finally making a decision to see
- 2:27Speaker 1: what all God has from me, but at the same
- 2:30Speaker 1: time trying to be more God wants me to be
- 2:33Speaker 1: instead of more what I want to be. That's the
- 2:35Speaker 1: trade off. You know, you gotta do something now, you
- 2:37Speaker 1: know you know you want God's blessings, you gotta be
- 2:40Speaker 1: willing to do something on his behalf. Now I'm not
- 2:43Speaker 1: saying I got it right, right, now, because I'm just
- 2:47Speaker 1: being real with you, I don't I don't have it
- 2:50Speaker 1: all together by any stretch of imagination. I'm trying to
- 2:54Speaker 1: get better in several areas. I'm praying about it. I'm
- 2:57Speaker 1: working on it, but you know, it's surprised and I've
- 3:01Speaker 1: I've grown to accept the process. But I'm improving in
- 3:05Speaker 1: a lot of areas from day to day. But I'll
- 3:07Speaker 1: tell you what, man, my success all is going on
- 3:10Speaker 1: with me I can only attribute to this turnaround. And
- 3:14Speaker 1: the turnaround was simple. I turned around and started looking
- 3:18Speaker 1: at God. That was a simple move, man. I just
- 3:21Speaker 1: turned around and started looking at him, and I was going, Okay,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I get it. Now, you created me. You're the creator.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You have a purpose for me. I understand that. Now.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Now let me just walk in that purpose and let
- 3:36Speaker 1: me get to doing that purpose. Now, my purpose and
- 3:40Speaker 1: your purpose and their purpose and anybody's perfect purpose could
- 3:43Speaker 1: be different, and the way you go about the purpose
- 3:47Speaker 1: can be different. And that's the part that I've really
- 3:50Speaker 1: grown up to. I've opened up my mind to understanding
- 3:54Speaker 1: that everybody's different, nobody's quite the same, and that is
- 3:58Speaker 1: not my right or position to judge, but to be
- 4:02Speaker 1: of a forgiving spirit, and understand and forgive those as
- 4:05Speaker 1: I ask God to forgive me. See that's the key.
- 4:10Speaker 1: That's the key, y'all. So when you out here and
- 4:12Speaker 1: you stuck on this unforgiveness, understand in the large prayer
- 4:18Speaker 1: as a segment that says, forgive us our trust passes
- 4:22Speaker 1: as we forgive those who trust pass against us. There's
- 4:25Speaker 1: another version says forgive us our debts as we forgive
- 4:28Speaker 1: our debt us. It's two different versions, but either one
- 4:32Speaker 1: it means the exact same thing. It means simply this
- 4:37Speaker 1: that you are asking God to forgive yours like you
- 4:42Speaker 1: forgive others. Forgive us our trust passes as we forgive
- 4:46Speaker 1: those who trust pass against us. When I crossed the
- 4:49Speaker 1: line with you, God handle me the way I handle
- 4:54Speaker 1: people when they cross the line with me. You feel
- 4:56Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you? See you understand that. That's
- 4:59Speaker 1: the breakdown of it. Best way I can give it
- 5:01Speaker 1: to you. Forgive us our trust passes as we forgive
- 5:05Speaker 1: those who trust pass against us. Forgive me God for
- 5:09Speaker 1: stepping over the line, like I forgive those that step
- 5:12Speaker 1: over the line on me. That's the hard part, man,
- 5:15Speaker 1: that's the part man I've really been working on I've
- 5:18Speaker 1: been really trying to get that together. And so I've
- 5:21Speaker 1: learned forgiveness a lot better over the past five years
- 5:24Speaker 1: than I have before, and it's paid off. I can't
- 5:29Speaker 1: tell you how I was paid off, because now God's
- 5:33Speaker 1: mercy and grace is all over me, because I've learned
- 5:37Speaker 1: to become more graceful. Now. I ain't graceful like him,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I ain't merciful like him, but I've learned to become
- 5:46Speaker 1: more more graceful, more merciful, because man, I can't live
- 5:50Speaker 1: my life like that. I just got sick of me. Man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you're mad at me now, I'm mad at you. You
- 5:56Speaker 1: hate on me, Now I'm gonna hate on you. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: ain't got time for that. Man, I've got you. Look here,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you got somewhere to go. Hate take up time. It's
- 6:05Speaker 1: time consuming. Hating Trying to seek revenge, it's time consuming.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It take up way too much of your time to
- 6:14Speaker 1: seek revenge when vengeance ain't really yours. That's another one.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Vengeance is mine. Say if the lord it ain't yours.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So now when you go to seek it, to take
- 6:24Speaker 1: it out, guess what you're doing. You're doing something now man,
- 6:28Speaker 1: now you off into area that you got no business
- 6:31Speaker 1: being in, and instead of steady climbing your letter like
- 6:34Speaker 1: you're supposed to, you didn't take out time for vengeance
- 6:38Speaker 1: to hate. I'm a hater. I'm gonna be a blogger.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm a blog about so and so. When you're blogging
- 6:46Speaker 1: about somebody, and most of these people you don't even
- 6:49Speaker 1: know when you're blogging about somebody, what you're doing, what
- 6:53Speaker 1: you're hating. It takes time to hate. Man. I just decided, Man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I gotta take all my time and instead of have
- 7:03Speaker 1: doing time and being active, I got to be proactive.
- 7:08Speaker 1: See some people get that confused being active and being
- 7:11Speaker 1: pro active. Pro is positive. Pro means to move forward.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You know, if you put pro in front of most words,
- 7:20Speaker 1: it's a positive influence. You know, does the pros and
- 7:23Speaker 1: the cons. The pros is the good side, the cons
- 7:27Speaker 1: is what can go wrong the bad side. You know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: if you're active, that's one thing, But if you're pro active,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you're going forward in a positive direction. When you become
- 7:38Speaker 1: a pro that means you the best of the best
- 7:41Speaker 1: at whatever it is you chosen to be. I'm a
- 7:44Speaker 1: pro so somehow, and I know English teacher, grammatical God.
- 7:51Speaker 1: The word pro a lot of times when you put
- 7:53Speaker 1: it in front of something, means positiveness. So now a
- 7:58Speaker 1: lot of people think that if you as active, something
- 8:01Speaker 1: all to happen. Well, I'm doing something, and that's what happens. Man,
- 8:04Speaker 1: We just find ourselves doing a lot of busy work
- 8:07Speaker 1: that really ain't bout nothing. It ain't going the way.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It ain't got no direction or no purpose because we
- 8:11Speaker 1: haven't tried to find out the direction of a purpose.
- 8:14Speaker 1: So you wake up and you and your wheels are spinning.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You a hamster on a tread meal. You're running real fast,
- 8:21Speaker 1: but you're just going in the same spot. You understand
- 8:23Speaker 1: that's because you're just out here being active instead of proactive.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Why don't you get God in your life. Why don't
- 8:29Speaker 1: you turn and face your creative and find out how
- 8:32Speaker 1: to become more proactive so you can do things to
- 8:36Speaker 1: move yourself forward. How you can get your life off
- 8:39Speaker 1: the ground and get off the tread meal and really
- 8:42Speaker 1: get it rolling in the direction that it need to
- 8:44Speaker 1: be going. Man, I'm telling you God can make that
- 8:48Speaker 1: change for you if he see you making the change
- 8:51Speaker 1: for him. See the whole key, man, The whole kids.
- 8:55Speaker 1: You got to be willing to do something. You got
- 8:58Speaker 1: to give God something to black. Bless me God, and
- 9:02Speaker 1: then you go sit on your couch and you ain't trying. Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 1: bless me God with what? What? What? What are you
- 9:09Speaker 1: working with? He can't have the people hire you if
- 9:12Speaker 1: you ain't put the app in. Come on, man, the
- 9:15Speaker 1: blessing comes when you make a proactive step, when you
- 9:19Speaker 1: try to do something on the positive side. Look, man,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna quit messing around with all these people. I'm
- 9:25Speaker 1: gonna start going home. I'm gonna leave these women loan
- 9:27Speaker 1: out here. You got to say, all right, man, I
- 9:30Speaker 1: ain't going over that at night. I just ain't gonna
- 9:32Speaker 1: get Then God can work with you. God help me
- 9:36Speaker 1: stop seeing all these women. But you steady going over
- 9:39Speaker 1: there calling them setting up stuff. We can't nobody help
- 9:43Speaker 1: you because once you get over there, you already know. See.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You gotta get proactive. You gotta do something yourself. You
- 9:51Speaker 1: make one step, he'll make two. That that's the key man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So come on, y'all, you're listening show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: This is how I decided to open today's show. Ain't
- 10:07Speaker 1: ain't really no rhyme, no reason, I just I'm gonna

- 10:14Speaker 1: my mind. Papa was a rolling stone, just like wherever

- 13:48Speaker 1: The Chief Love Officer Chloe, as the nephew calls it
- 13:52Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. Are you ready? This
- 13:56Speaker 1: one is from Veronica, an online listener. Veronica said, as
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm a twenty eight year old woman and I am
- 14:02Speaker 1: seeking revenge on my coronavirus sex buddy. Okay, I met
- 14:08Speaker 1: a married guy online during the quarantine and he told
- 14:11Speaker 1: me he needed some good sex, and so did I.
- 14:14Speaker 1: He lived close to me, so we started having sex
- 14:17Speaker 1: almost daily. We made a pact that we'd only sleep
- 14:21Speaker 1: with each other to be safe from coronavirus. The other
- 14:25Speaker 1: day he came over and told me, oh, he gets better.
- 14:28Speaker 1: The other day he came over and told me he
- 14:30Speaker 1: had another coronavirus sex buddy and he wants us all
- 14:35Speaker 1: to hook up. Come on, yeah, you right here. I
- 14:44Speaker 1: was furious. How could he violate my trust and jeopardize
- 14:48Speaker 1: my health? I'm so mad. I want revenge. Should I
- 14:51Speaker 1: let his wife know what he's been what he's been
- 14:54Speaker 1: up for? She could be at risk too, No, sister,
- 14:59Speaker 1: Hold hold up, listen, Come on, now, you ain't playing you.
- 15:02Speaker 1: You said you decided to have a coronavirus sex buddy,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and he was married. Y'all live close back, so y'all
- 15:14Speaker 1: having sex daily? He had it you having sex with him.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Now he y'all promise not to tell nobody. Wait a minute.
- 15:22Speaker 1: You asked a married dude to give you a promise
- 15:27Speaker 1: that he wouldn't see nobody else when he stood at
- 15:31Speaker 1: a church, said some vows and said he wasn't gonna
- 15:37Speaker 1: see nobody else, and he seeing you, And now you're
- 15:40Speaker 1: mad because he didn't broke a promise to you. Skip
- 15:44Speaker 1: the vows. You didn't. Don't went past that back. Now
- 15:47Speaker 1: you want to call his wife and tell his wife
- 15:49Speaker 1: what he'd been up to. That's no sense. Thing is revenge.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You're gonna pay for what you've done doubly if you
- 15:55Speaker 1: do that. Okay, Look, just why don't you get you
- 16:01Speaker 1: somebody that's single to do this with it? Yeah, or
- 16:04Speaker 1: just tough it out like everybody else during the coronavirus. Hello,
- 16:09Speaker 1: get your masks, yea masket. Set your ass down somewhere. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 1: get you some parrel and try to find some lassol.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Right right, all right. This one is from Princess in Tyler, Texas.
- 16:25Speaker 1: She says, I've been dating a guy that I worked
- 16:27Speaker 1: with for a year and he is the perfect man
- 16:30Speaker 1: and the best lover I've ever had. This was there
- 16:33Speaker 1: was a rumor floating around the office that he was
- 16:35Speaker 1: messing with the merry coworker of ours. I confronted the
- 16:38Speaker 1: lady and she admitted it, And she said she calls
- 16:41Speaker 1: him daddy when he does all the freaky things she
- 16:43Speaker 1: tells him to do. I didn't really believe a woman
- 16:46Speaker 1: because my boyfriend has been on a whole spiritual journey
- 16:50Speaker 1: since we started dating. I don't think he cheat on me.
- 16:53Speaker 1: One of my other co workers told me, I'm naive?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Am I being naive? Spiritual? Well, to shut up? He's
- 17:05Speaker 1: on the spiritual journey and you don't think he cheat
- 17:10Speaker 1: on you? Um? I'm sorry? What? Um? He must be
- 17:18Speaker 1: on a well, I mean he must be on a
- 17:21Speaker 1: lightweight spiritual journey because he doing what a lot of
- 17:27Speaker 1: people doing that ain't spiritual at all. So I'm a
- 17:31Speaker 1: little confused. But if if that's what you say, I
- 17:34Speaker 1: would ignore. You went to the married room and and
- 17:38Speaker 1: she admitted it. But first of all, why would she
- 17:42Speaker 1: admit to something that ain't true? Why would she admit
- 17:46Speaker 1: to that if she was married and tell you she's
- 17:48Speaker 1: sleeping with a co worker? Why would she say that? Man,
- 17:52Speaker 1: what's happening with y'all? Y'all just be telling it? Yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 1: come on, y'all need to get off social media. What
- 17:58Speaker 1: happened to the days where well, y'all need to get
- 18:00Speaker 1: back when you wasn't no sale phones? All right? Uh,
- 18:05Speaker 1: Chloe Clo. Steve Harvey just fisible yea, Yeah, I guess
- 18:11Speaker 1: he just think because we just ain't on in all areas,
- 18:15Speaker 1: millions and millions of people are listen to something. None
- 18:18Speaker 1: of this could get back he just been saying it
- 18:21Speaker 1: to us. He just keep saying stuff I should be saying. Yeah,
- 18:26Speaker 1: come on, Tommy, you good sex? No more? What are
- 18:34Speaker 1: you saying? All right? Chief Love Officer Randy and Fadville. Fadville,
- 18:43Speaker 1: Georgia says, I'm a thirty seven year old bachelor and
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm an anesthesiologist. I made great money, so I have
- 18:50Speaker 1: a huge home and nice cars. My problem is I
- 18:54Speaker 1: weigh almost three hundred pounds. I knew it, and I'm
- 18:58Speaker 1: only five ten, So I have trouble in the romance department.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I have always treated my women with the utmost respect,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but unless I'm buying expensive gifts or taking them to
- 19:09Speaker 1: high end restaurants, it's a rap. I don't want a
- 19:13Speaker 1: gold digger. Guys that aren't handsome get plenty of fine
- 19:17Speaker 1: women all the time. Yeah. How will I know if
- 19:20Speaker 1: a woman is feeling me or if she's just with
- 19:22Speaker 1: me for an upgraded lifestyle? Well, won't you do this, dog?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Why don't we start with five ten, three hundred pounds?
- 19:32Speaker 1: Why don't we start Damn dog, you're anesthesiologists. There are
- 19:37Speaker 1: no three hundred pounds seventy year olds. Come on, man,
- 19:41Speaker 1: you got to put it together. You got to take
- 19:43Speaker 1: better care of yourself. You got a great career, great car,
- 19:46Speaker 1: great house, You're making money. Man, take care of yourself. Man,
- 19:51Speaker 1: this weight is going to double back and create a
- 19:53Speaker 1: problem for you. Man. You got to get yourself together. Brother,
- 19:57Speaker 1: then you can go agut. You will be a lot
- 19:59Speaker 1: more attractive to everybody. My problem is, I'm five ten,
- 20:03Speaker 1: three hundred pounds you and there putting people to sleep
- 20:06Speaker 1: as you sleep, but yourself to sleep. You know, I
- 20:11Speaker 1: don't even know if you I don't even know how
- 20:13Speaker 1: you tell if the gas is going in at night
- 20:15Speaker 1: because you got to be wheezing. Yeah, yeah, you can't
- 20:22Speaker 1: get too much gass. Yeah, you have to get healthy.
- 20:25Speaker 1: You five ten, three hundred pounds, that'd be like a
- 20:27Speaker 1: five nine three hundred pounds. That'd be like if Tommy
- 20:31Speaker 1: was three hundred pounds. Okay, thank you. Coming up next,
- 20:37Speaker 1: speaking of the nephew, I'm saying, you know what your
- 20:40Speaker 1: hype at three hundred, that's what that would be like.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Run that Frank back show, that show how couldn't Right
- 20:46Speaker 1: after this you're listening to Coming up at the top
- 20:52Speaker 1: of the hour, Miss Anne is standing by with today's
- 20:55Speaker 1: national news and then entertainment news Herman Kane tweets two
- 20:59Speaker 1: weeks after his death to attack Democrats. What we'll get
- 21:04Speaker 1: into it, Plus we'll tell you we did it after him. Yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 1: we'll talk about it. Plus we'll tell you which which
- 21:13Speaker 1: celebrity couple is expecting baby number three. We'll talk about
- 21:16Speaker 1: all of these stories, guys at the top of the hour.
- 21:18Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here to run that
- 21:21Speaker 1: prank back what you got for us, naph You prayed
- 21:25Speaker 1: for a job. Let's go. You prayed for a job.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm hello, I'm trying to reach a Carol and please hi, Carolin. Listen.
- 21:39Speaker 1: My name is Lawrence. Lawrence I actually go to the
- 21:42Speaker 1: same church you do. I saw you last Sunday where
- 21:45Speaker 1: you stood up in the church and I heard that
- 21:47Speaker 1: you were talking about you were going through some bad
- 21:49Speaker 1: times or your job supposedly got rid of the department
- 21:55Speaker 1: that you're in and you were now seeking a new
- 21:58Speaker 1: type of work. Am I right? I just just just
- 22:01Speaker 1: work period, because you're looking for a new occupation and
- 22:03Speaker 1: you I was there when you ask everybody to pray
- 22:05Speaker 1: for you. Have you have you found anything yet? I
- 22:09Speaker 1: haven't an I've been praying up. We prayed again today.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I asked for the Churches Prize again today. And the
- 22:17Speaker 1: thing's gonna work out, because you know, he said, you
- 22:18Speaker 1: take one step, You're gonna take two. That's right. I'm
- 22:21Speaker 1: trapping and I know what's going to happen. I know. Well, listen,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I think I may be able to be of some
- 22:25Speaker 1: help to you. I actually own my own company, and
- 22:29Speaker 1: I'm thinking that you could be the perfect person for
- 22:31Speaker 1: a position that I have available. Now, what what type
- 22:34Speaker 1: of work were you doing in the past. Give me
- 22:36Speaker 1: some of your job qualifications. I'm an executive secretary, administrative assistance.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Anything like that was a minute. Uh. They even take
- 22:45Speaker 1: the old star shorthand often do at all. You just
- 22:47Speaker 1: said what you need, and I can do it. Take
- 22:49Speaker 1: out your executives to come through the office, anything that's needed,
- 22:53Speaker 1: travel expenses, That's what I do. Okay. What type of
- 22:59Speaker 1: hours are you used to? Working nine to five from
- 23:02Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll come in at eight. I don't have a
- 23:03Speaker 1: problem becoming at eight. I'm coming even earlier if you
- 23:05Speaker 1: even be coming earlier. Are you opposed to working at night? No,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm working at night. I mean it
- 23:11Speaker 1: just it just appears you know right now burgers can't
- 23:14Speaker 1: be choosing I ask him and being given to me. Okay, well,
- 23:18Speaker 1: what kind of if you're looking at I have a
- 23:20Speaker 1: I have ah an offer for you that it would
- 23:22Speaker 1: be Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. You will only be
- 23:25Speaker 1: working three days a week for me. Okay, just from

- 24:31Speaker 1: and you would be working at the nightclub for me,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and so you would put in about four or five
- 24:36Speaker 1: hours every night, and and for three nights a week
- 24:40Speaker 1: like I stayed at Thursday, Friday, Saturday. And and of

- 25:03Speaker 1: like accounting. You tell me a clip front door, I
- 25:07Speaker 1: can keep your books going right? Well, no, not necessarily.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I don't need you to work the front door. Um.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I'm actually gonna have you in the club working, okay.
- 25:16Speaker 1: So um, I mean how are you? How's your physical condition?
- 25:20Speaker 1: Are you able to get around? And you don't get tired? Quick?

- 44:16Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 44:21Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:23Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today this Friday. The subject is, if
- 44:27Speaker 1: my wife hates her, I have to hate her too.
- 44:31Speaker 1: If my wife hates her, I have to hate her too.

- 47:57Speaker 1: the gym. Man, what I was gonna ask you? Bro?
- 48:00Speaker 1: You know? See right now, Man, when I get through
- 48:03Speaker 1: with my taxes and stuff, I'm gonna have to owe
- 48:05Speaker 1: about eight hundred dollars. But now see if I clean
- 48:09Speaker 1: a child as my dependent, man, they're gonna get me
- 48:12Speaker 1: by twenty two, twenty three hundred. You see what I'm
- 48:15Speaker 1: saying And what I wanted to get at you about, man,
- 48:18Speaker 1: is you know you let me clean as my son,
- 48:22Speaker 1: you know, so I can gonna get this good money? Bro? Bro, Bro,
- 48:26Speaker 1: I mean, what do I due? Respect? Bro? You're talking
- 48:29Speaker 1: about you want to clean my son on taxes? Hold on,
- 48:33Speaker 1: but I don't even know you. You're talking about you
- 48:35Speaker 1: seeing me at my son's basketball game. You might be
- 48:38Speaker 1: the police. Fall I know, bro, he sounds like the police. No, no, no, no,
- 48:42Speaker 1: it ain't it ain't. Ain't nobody gonna come at your
- 48:44Speaker 1: sideways like that. Man, I ain't ain't trying to come
- 48:46Speaker 1: like what I'm trying to say. Man, Now they're trying
- 48:48Speaker 1: to hit me off of this eight hundred. Well, see
- 48:50Speaker 1: I can get twenty three hundred, man, I kick you
- 48:53Speaker 1: down two fifty. You understand I'm saying, Man, everybody cool too, Simpty,
- 49:00Speaker 1: You're crazy. Now you sound like a joke, bro, because
- 49:04Speaker 1: now you're insult to me. You're telling me you want
- 49:06Speaker 1: to claim mom now for somebody with you old money.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I don't even know you food So I can make
- 49:12Speaker 1: two fifty, Bro, I ain't trying to be on a brother.
- 49:15Speaker 1: When I claim my kids, I'm getting the same exact
- 49:17Speaker 1: like you getting. I'm getting twenty three hundred two. So
- 49:20Speaker 1: what the dollar like taking two hundred dollars from I
- 49:23Speaker 1: don't know? You know what I'm saying. Okay, but I'm
- 49:26Speaker 1: the one stuck over here paying the eight hundred. Man,
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm just acting. Ask you to look out for a brother, man,
- 49:31Speaker 1: you say, yeah, look out. You know my teching cut
- 49:35Speaker 1: from forty hours a week to thirteen hours a week,
- 49:38Speaker 1: and I still got these little sacks to me for Jordan,
- 49:41Speaker 1: Michael Jordan never put us back. That's why I'm trying
- 49:43Speaker 1: to hook you up with two fifty. Man. Damn, you
- 49:46Speaker 1: don't even see a good thing when it's coming at you. Bro, Bro,
- 49:48Speaker 1: I don't know if you're talking about brother No. Two
- 49:51Speaker 1: or fifty. Bro. When I claim me two little I'm
- 49:53Speaker 1: getting twenty three hundred dollars a piece. Bro, what you
- 49:56Speaker 1: think I'm gonna take two fifty from you for? I
- 49:58Speaker 1: don't even know you like that? So, man, you ain't
- 50:00Speaker 1: got it. Yeah, you ain't got a trip. Man, Then
- 50:02Speaker 1: if you was my bro, you're my people, you know,
- 50:04Speaker 1: maybe we could do a little something. I can understand that.
- 50:07Speaker 1: But Bro, you ain't gonna get me No. Two fifty
- 50:09Speaker 1: when I'm getting the same thing they offering you point
- 50:11Speaker 1: three hundred this complment money FROs. So what is I'm
- 50:13Speaker 1: supposed to do? What am I opposed to do? Devin?
- 50:17Speaker 1: Tell me that? I mean, Bro, what you supposed to
- 50:19Speaker 1: do is go how your seed? Clean that a little
- 50:22Speaker 1: every year and you will get what I get for
- 50:25Speaker 1: these little that I'm seeing in clothing every day. That's
- 50:27Speaker 1: what you're gonna have to do. My hours un got
- 50:29Speaker 1: cut from forty to fifteen hours a week. I had
- 50:32Speaker 1: to go pick me up the little side. I'm stand.
- 50:34Speaker 1: You gotta change your ways. You out there trying to
- 50:36Speaker 1: get me locked up for government scams. What I'm trying
- 50:40Speaker 1: to do, man, is get this eight hundred off my
- 50:42Speaker 1: bad dog. That's all I'm trying. That. Ain't nobody trying
- 50:44Speaker 1: to get no trouble man. But you're still talking about
- 50:47Speaker 1: getting you eight hundred and getting me locked up. Now
- 50:50Speaker 1: you've got me. I'm out and working hard to support
- 50:53Speaker 1: my kids. Man. But I ain't for the city and
- 50:55Speaker 1: go through. That's what you know. More Man, I ain't
- 50:57Speaker 1: for the city and go through. That's what you know

- 51:18Speaker 1: in that Gymnasium. Bro, I'm on your bro. You ain't
- 51:22Speaker 1: on that. You ain't on Blazing Lakers. Bro, you better
- 51:25Speaker 1: bring that damn soldier security number. I think it's a game.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna come find him. Okay, Cool. I got one
- 51:31Speaker 1: more thing I need to say to you. You're listening
- 51:33Speaker 1: to me on my phone. Bro, I don't even talking
- 51:37Speaker 1: to this fool. I got one more thing I need

- 53:52Speaker 1: FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading
- 53:55Speaker 1: your letter live on the A. Uh. We're going to
- 54:00Speaker 1: read that one right now, buck A Lappitt, Hold on tight,
- 54:04Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is the strong
- 54:06Speaker 1: very Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject if my wife hates her,
- 54:10Speaker 1: I have to hate her too. Dear Stephen Shirley, My
- 54:13Speaker 1: wife had a friend that she was friends with for
- 54:15Speaker 1: many years, and she stopped being her friend because a
- 54:18Speaker 1: non credible person told my wife that her friend was
- 54:22Speaker 1: talking about her. My wife fell out with her friend,
- 54:24Speaker 1: and since then she talks bad about the friend and
- 54:27Speaker 1: she gets mad if I tell her what she's saying
- 54:30Speaker 1: is not true. I learned quickly to take my wife's side,
- 54:34Speaker 1: and I even added a few choice words about the
- 54:36Speaker 1: old friend, so my wife would think I was on
- 54:38Speaker 1: her side, but I wasn't. And I'm sick of having
- 54:41Speaker 1: to take sides whenever my wife gets something twisted up
- 54:44Speaker 1: and starts hating on somebody. I don't want to create
- 54:47Speaker 1: a conflict in our marriage or with my wife's family,
- 54:49Speaker 1: because they have convinced my wife that if she hates someone,
- 54:53Speaker 1: I should hate that person too. This happens a lot
- 54:56Speaker 1: with my wife. She and another young lady exchanged words,
- 54:59Speaker 1: and yet again my wife was wrong. As usual, I
- 55:03Speaker 1: took her side because she is my wife. Now I
- 55:06Speaker 1: can't associate with a young lady or her husband. I
- 55:09Speaker 1: had to text the young lady's husband and tell him
- 55:12Speaker 1: that I'm just trying to keep the peace in my house,
- 55:15Speaker 1: and he understood. My wife and her family believe that
- 55:18Speaker 1: if I go against her, even when she is wrong,
- 55:21Speaker 1: then I'm not being faithful. There have been a few
- 55:24Speaker 1: more instances, instances of her ignorant ways. I am thirty
- 55:28Speaker 1: two and my wife is twenty nine, and I told
- 55:31Speaker 1: her that she is too old to be acting like this.
- 55:33Speaker 1: My wife and I have been married for two years,
- 55:36Speaker 1: but she was not like this at first. I'm tired
- 55:39Speaker 1: of taking her side when I know she's wrong, and
- 55:41Speaker 1: I'm fed up with the daily conversation about who she
- 55:45Speaker 1: doesn't like and who she stopped speaking to. I need
- 55:48Speaker 1: your advice on how to fix this. Okay, listen, listen, listen. Okay,
- 55:54Speaker 1: you cannot go against your wife. You can't do that. Okay,
- 55:58Speaker 1: right now, you're doing the right thing. You're doing the
- 56:01Speaker 1: right thing. You tried that one time and it didn't
- 56:03Speaker 1: work out to you. You have to present a united front,
- 56:07Speaker 1: you know with wifee. You have to do that. Otherwise
- 56:09Speaker 1: you're gonna sound like you're on the other woman's side,
- 56:12Speaker 1: and that's a no no in a marriage. You have
- 56:15Speaker 1: to be supportive because, like you say, you're trying to
- 56:18Speaker 1: keep peace in your house. Okay, peace is priceless. I
- 56:24Speaker 1: think we all know that, we're all old enough to
- 56:26Speaker 1: know that piece is priceless, especially in the home. That's
- 56:30Speaker 1: where you go to get away. From all the drama
- 56:33Speaker 1: and all the negativity and everything. You go to the
- 56:35Speaker 1: solace and comfort and peace of your home. Nothing is
- 56:40Speaker 1: worth losing that, not anything, okay, And this is one
- 56:45Speaker 1: problem in your marriage. I think the other issue you
- 56:48Speaker 1: pointed out is that your wife sounds really negative. She
- 56:52Speaker 1: sounds petty. She sounds gossipy when she's just you know,
- 56:56Speaker 1: around the house talking about everyone, and that's what's getting
- 56:59Speaker 1: on your nerve. You don't like that. So unless you
- 57:02Speaker 1: guys can fix this, your marriage is going to be
- 57:05Speaker 1: in trouble. Your two year marriage. You guys have to
- 57:08Speaker 1: have a conversation. You know, you can do these things
- 57:13Speaker 1: in your house behind closed doors with your wife when
- 57:17Speaker 1: you're not in front of other people, But when you're
- 57:19Speaker 1: in front of people, you got to present yourselves as
- 57:21Speaker 1: one behind closed doors, Like I said, you have to
- 57:24Speaker 1: be able to communicate. You gotta let her know what
- 57:27Speaker 1: you're thinking. You know. You got to do it in
- 57:28Speaker 1: a nice way though, so she won't go in on you,
- 57:31Speaker 1: because she will if she thinks you're against her and
- 57:33Speaker 1: not supportive of her. So you know, that's when you know.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you other than try
- 57:42Speaker 1: it at home. When you guys are by yourself, husband
- 57:45Speaker 1: and wife. Okay, not in front of other people, not
- 57:48Speaker 1: in front of the family, but in front of people.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Do not forever let your wife think you're going against
- 57:55Speaker 1: her and supporting someone else. Steve, I agree with Shirley
- 58:00Speaker 1: about this letter in terms of not disagreeing with your
- 58:07Speaker 1: wife in front of other people. But the rest of
- 58:12Speaker 1: it I completely disagree with because this is no way
- 58:18Speaker 1: for this man to have to live. This is an
- 58:22Speaker 1: uncomfortable way to live. Man, walking around your own house
- 58:27Speaker 1: on eggshells if you don't agree with your spouse, so
- 58:33Speaker 1: now you have to in order to get along. You
- 58:37Speaker 1: got to go along. Even if it's something you completely
- 58:41Speaker 1: disagree with, You got to go along with that. It's
- 58:46Speaker 1: not a fun existence. Man. You might as well get ready.
- 58:50Speaker 1: You ain't gonna have no damn friends who. First of all,
- 58:57Speaker 1: your wife is a negative person. Negative people attract negative comments.
- 59:03Speaker 1: That's why everybody come to her. So the first thing
- 59:06Speaker 1: that broke her and her girlfriend up in the first
- 59:08Speaker 1: place was an unreliable source came to her with some
- 59:13Speaker 1: negative about her girl, some negative now without researching it,
- 59:18Speaker 1: checking it out. Negative people attract negative thoughts. Negative people
- 59:22Speaker 1: to whoever it is brought this to your wife. She
- 59:25Speaker 1: accepted it. Not you and your girl. Lad. Now you
- 59:27Speaker 1: din't had to call the dude who you cool, wouldn't go, Hey, man,
- 59:31Speaker 1: I'm just trying to keep peace in my house. And
- 59:34Speaker 1: he understood rule as a man who's married. Don't start
- 59:39Speaker 1: no fires in your own house. And what I really
- 59:44Speaker 1: hate is when another dude try to come in my
- 59:48Speaker 1: space and create a fire at my house. What you
- 59:52Speaker 1: over in striking matches for partner. And you know, he
- 59:55Speaker 1: didn't had to learn to take his wife's side, which
- 59:58Speaker 1: I understand, and sure he's right. You gotta take your
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: wife's side or be no peace in the house. But
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I got news for you in front of him. It's
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: not no peace in his house anyway, even when he
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: go along with hub, it's no peace. You know why?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, negative person? Yeah, hang on, hang on.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: We'll get part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, subject of today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: If my wife hates her, I have to hate her too.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letters subject,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: if my wife hates her, I have to hate her too.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: This dude is in a horrible position man, because he's
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: married to a negative woman who falls out all the
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: time with a lot of people. And if he hates
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: a woman, if she hates a woman, he requires this
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: she does, he said, he quickly learned to take his
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: wife's side. And then even when the unreliable source told
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: his wife that her best friend was talking about her,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: and she believed it because negative people go along with
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: anything that's negative. They feed off of him. So you
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: didn't add it a few quick choice words about the
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: old friend, so your wife would thank you on her side.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: But he ain't. And he said he's sick of having
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: to take sides whenever my wife gets something twisted up
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: and stars hating on somebody. Now, he don't want to
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: create the conflict in the marriage with the wife or
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: the family. Now check this out. The girl's family then
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: told her that if she hates somebody, her husband got
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to go along with it too. And then he said
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: that this happens a lot with my wife. So now
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: let's go over this. Every time there's a negative happening
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: or a negative story The one person that's always involved
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: in it is your wife. What all the time? Then
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: dog gets her? All right? She and another lady exchange words,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: and yet again your wife was wrong. Then you took
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: her side because she your girl. Now you can't assirotated
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: with a lady or her husband. My wife, you know,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: his wife. Family believes that if he goes against her
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: when she's wrong, then I'm not being faithful. All right,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: young man, let me say something to you. I was
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: talking with Tommy Neilm off the air. You have to
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: say something about this because this is gonna get out
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: of hand, man, And I'm gonna tell you, bro, just
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: ain't no way to live. It's hard for a man
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: to walk around his house living on eggshells, to keep
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: peace in a place that ain't peaceful. What piece are
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: you keeping? I mean? She mad anyway, and if you
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: ain't mad you come home from work. You don't even
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: want to be mad. She always got it in for somebody, man,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I see man at today. Man, that's crazy. Y'all be
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: married two years. She wasn't like this at first. I'm
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: tired of taking her side when I know she wrong,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: and I'm fed up with the daily conversation about who
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: she don't like and who she to stop speaking to.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: That's crazy, man. I need your advice on how to
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: fix this. The only fix is to set her down
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: and tell her she wrong and get her to understand
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: her ways. Now what's gonna happen. Is she gonna snap
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: on you. Yeah, you're gonna go through this phase. If
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: my family was right, they told me you ain't faithful
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: because you don't take my side. Surely even said you
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: got to take her side. But it's hard to take
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: somebody side that's wrong all the time. Damn, I just
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: meant in front of people, not at the house. Well,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: well you didn't say that. She did say in front
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: of people. So I think the general consistency is you're
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: gonna have to get her off to the side and
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: you got to say, hey, look, just ain't working, or
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: you got to get a mediate or something. This marriage
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: ain't gonna work. Man. Don't nobody want to come home
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: with this negativity every day? Nobody? Hey man, let me
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: tell you something. Man. I know I've been in that
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: before and that that's not a fun way to live.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Brother in your house, right, yeah, man, When you don't
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: have peace in the house brother. The Bible says it
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: is better to live on the corner of a roof
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: of the house than the inside with the crawls. Some woman,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: that's a scripture. Man, Hey man, when your wife ain't happy,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: it's a hard house to live in. Man. No, no, no,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Now you've been on the roof of your house. Man,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Jesus knew, and he wouldn't even married. He knew, he knew. Man,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Tell me out of been
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: on the roof of the house in the garage parked outside.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I would sometimes I wouldn't even come up in the yard.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I ain't even want to see my car puller. Yeah,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: because the house is where you go to get peace, man,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: to lock out the world. Surely when you go home
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: and there is no peace and you've been out here
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: at war all day long, Yeah, that's an ugly ass
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: house to go into. No more. Yeah, yeah it is. Now.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Hey man, I'm gonna tell you what I used to do.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Sometimes I would come into town when I was married before,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I just go get a hotel room and say I
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: was coming in tomorrow. Just go sit in the hotel room. Hey, dog,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: watch TV. Take shyging room service. Just get myself a
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: day to get ready for I go around the corner.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Piece is priceless. It's priceless. Yeah, you done something. Will
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: leave before I would have to leave. I would leave
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: before I would have to leave a little bit three
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: days early. Baby gotta gotta go. Sit up trays Mama.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I had a line to said, I got a comedy show,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: get dropped off into amplet he pull off and I
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: get picked up in baggage. Claim. I'm not going nowhere.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I just want to be out that house. But if
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: it's like that, those people just aren't happy, it's nothing
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: you can do to make it well, it's not And
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: you're right, and you can't make a person happy, and
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: it's not your job, and if you try to make
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: it your job, you're in for a big disappointment. Yeah,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: all right, Steve, thank you. Post your comments on today's
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: and don't forget to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: on demand now coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: the hour. It's that time again. Oh yeah, Junior has
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: a new poem and we'll hear it right after this.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Why you're listening, well, our resident poet laureate Junior is
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: uh here with the new poem. This time it's about voting.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Tell us about a junior. Yeah, you know, I heard
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: from somebody from Chicago. This is actually Jesse Jackson's official,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: unofficial statement about voting, and I just used it just
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: as it is here. It is. It's called voting, that's
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: all about. That's what it's called. Don't give up, hope.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: It is time to vote. Biden and Colombo. They are
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: the gold. And that is why this poem I wrote.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: This ain't no joke. Of course I do not smoke.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: This ticket is strong like a mnded oak. Of course
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: they're trying to put us back on the boat. So
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: let me end on this final North, get off your book.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: It's time to vote. The ending. I like it because
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: it's about voting. That's it. No, uh, we gotta give
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: it because it's about voting that point. And you know
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: you didn't come up with the time, and you're just
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: mad because you didn't come up with the poem. Let's
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: let's let me let me. I'm gonna give you. I'm
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: gonna get your phone on your jest. I don't care
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: what you talking about like I don't that's your job.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: This is I do ye. You made you mad? Yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I'm a poet. I ain't act. You gotta get it.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: You got a phoe your oscar at? You got a
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: phoe like that post to turn you off? Yeah, like
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: that hurt by feeling like, okay, what your oscar at?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Then I like both of them. So I can't get
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: into this with right, you trying to crush like his
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: opinion matter to me? You good, but Junior, I'm down ten.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: It's about voting. Let's go vote and we got the bonus.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: He said it like the Reverend Jesse Jackson would say it.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Timing pissed off that Come on, everybody know I'm Jesse.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Was your phone that Jesse? That's all the wrong do
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Jesse around the hill? I didn't know that was the
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: whole time he was talking, he was going, notice, Comma,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: now you said something else, Jui. But we don't. We
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: don't have time. All right, We're gonna say thank you, Junior.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: You are coming back because coming up at the top
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: of the hour of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones promises
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: grace as he reconsiders his stance on kneeling. We'll talk
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to show, well,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: here's some trending news from our home station, k r
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: NB one oh five point seven Smooth R and B
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: in Dallas. The Dallas Cowboys have a long standing policy
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: that players must stand during the national anthem prior to games,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: but recently Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he's going to
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: have to have an open dialogue to try and figure
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: out a way that can please both the protesters and
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: the staunch flag supporters and handle the situation with what
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: grace tick a listen are very sensitive times. I have
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: nothing to prove as far as where I'm standing with
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: the flag and where the Cowboys stand. I have nothing
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to prove regarding my players and my support of our players.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: What I do want to show and want us all
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: to be a part of, is a word called grace.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Grace not only grace in our actions, but grace and
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: our understanding where they're coming from. I want our players
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: to understand the perception and where they're coming from regarding
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: the flag and the sensitivity there and the many memories there,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: and I want our fans to understand and better do
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: because of what's going on over the last few months
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: and want them to understand where our players are coming
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: from there, and they do not feel like that. The
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: ones that want to basically do that neel, they do
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: not feel like they're dishonoring the flag. I'm going to
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: have grace. I've had grace. Many of you have written
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: and criticized me for having too much grace and understanding
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: regarding our players, and I probably have, and I'm gonna
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: have grace regarding the people that are sensitive about our flag.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Somewhere in between there as the weeks, as we get
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: together with our team, as we discuss with the team.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Somewhere in between there is how we're gonna happle, what
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: what and what here is in a bad situation because
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: he knelt with the players and now he don't want
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: him the needle anymore. I'm gonna get And that's because
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: they're believing the old narrative that the president. You know,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: that's not what it's about. That's why I see what
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: he's trying to do. Yeah, he's trying to appease both
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: sides everywhere, because that's somewhere in the middle. As an
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: older man, he's getting pressure because a lot of people
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: have allowed Trump to switch the narrative to make it
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: about it's disrespectful of our flag, because now they're simply saying,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: you're not standing for our national anthem, is disrespecting the flag,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: it ignores the right to protest. They are just saying
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: you're disrespecting our flag. So Jerry's getting nat and I'm
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: pretty sure somebody that's coming from, possibly some sponsors too.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: I've talked to a lot of NFL players at NFL
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: honors over the past years, and I've talked to a
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: lot of the Cowboys everybody. To the man, you don't
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: hear no players talking about Jerry Jones because to the man,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: he is a player's owner. Oh now, I'm telling you, man,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I've talked to a lot of Dallas Cowboys, a lot
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: of them, and they all say this, good dude, Steve.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: He stands up and he fights for his players. He's
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: in a position though, where he's an owner and he's
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: listening to the other owners, and he has to listen
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: to these sponsors that's all over that big giant billboard
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: of his. So he's trying to find somewhere in the middle,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: and that's where he's stuck. But I'm just saying what
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: a lot of Dallas Cowboy players have told me, Jerry Jones.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: That's why you don't hit no players talking about it,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: they say, Steve, he go to wall for his players, man.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: And so I don't know, man, I can't see what
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: he's trying to do, trying to be on both sides
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: and get an understanding, like he said, somewhere in the middle.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: And here we're gonna meet. So what happens if he
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: has a player that nils, if he got a few
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: players at nil, he gonna I mean, he's probably I mean,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: I mean, I mean he said his players had to stand. Well,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: now he's reconsidering that we can bring this back. Guys
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: coming up, have more music, and we'll talk about this
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: a little more twenty minutes after the hour right after
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: this you're listening show. So before the break, guys, we
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: were talking about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: stance on kneeling. Plus, Jerry Jones also said that he
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: will let the Cowboys play in front of fans during
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: the pandemic. Fans will purchase tickets and pods which will
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: be clustered social distance seating, and you know, we'll see
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: how it goes. And Steve, before we went to break,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: you were talking about how the players do have a
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: lot of respect for Jerry Jones because Jerry Jones will
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: go to battle for his players, so he's kind of
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: stuck in. Yeah. I mean, you know, I'm not gonna
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: say any names, but I've talked to more than a
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: lot of Dallas Cowboy players and all of them, says, Steve,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: you don't ever hear nobody saying nothing about Jerry Jones
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: as an owner, because he's a players owner. He takes
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: care of his guys. Man the war fall, he said,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: there's some guys that wouldn't have NFL careers if this
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: man didn't go and fight for him. I mean, he's
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: helped some players, man, and they told me a lot
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: of specific examples on that liberty to say. But Jerry
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Jones seems he strikes me as a really, really good dude.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: But he's an old guy and he has to deal
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: with the business of being in the NFL and and
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: his understanding of the players and what they're going through.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Everybody with money knows racial injustice. Everybody got money know that,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: and they just acknowledge it. And no we don't want that.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: No more showy animal. We're working on it. That's well
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: something if I got them to stop kneeling, Yeah, acknowledge
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: it and work towards change. All right. We'll have more
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trending news
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: after this you're listening to all right, So Steve, and
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: of course Jay, you love movies. Here's something from UM
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: for your friend on the dude on the porch down
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: the streets. All right, Yeah, so listen to this. Months
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: after being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, AMC Movie
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: theaters are finally set to reopen on August twentieth, all right,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: and then to celebrate, AMC is offering movie tickets for
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: fifteen cents. Steve, No, the got mold tirta? How much
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: they got molded take down of firtas. You'll get corona
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: on the discount. Yes, he's right. Fifteen cents. This was
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: the initial cost of attending their first US open of
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: AMC theaters back in nineteen twenty, and the movie company
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: wants to celebrate that, uh and commemorate there that during
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: their relaunch after being closed during the pandemic. What I say,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: huh what you mean? What I think? Yeah? What do
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: you think? What do you think about? What you go?
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Damn day checking? No, just nothing. No, they're just taking
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: your fifteen sick yeah, fishing you going it out? Who's
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: saving the pop coat? Nobody is that? What? What? What
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: show you going to? Might go? Depends? No, No, I
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: gonna make it that. Ain't beat up? Say what mom?

- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Cut that damn TV down. You can, I'm talking. Go ahead, man,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: you're gonna go to the nine thirty show. I'll see
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: if you sitting on the polk tree to come back.

- 1:19:27Speaker 1: you can hear me. Hold on, Bobby Brock I go
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: back root hold on. That is dude coming up. It
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: is our last break of the day. And uh it
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: is the last break of the day. Remember if you
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: got a big button, then you put a sweater over it,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: you still got a big button. Just a warm It's
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: just a warm. But we'll have some closing remarks from
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey coming up. In forty nine minutes after the
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: hour right after this, you're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the weekend of
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: the day, this Friday. Eighty one days, man, this time
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: is flying eighty one minute days. Yeah, until election day
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: is a great number, right, Yeah? I love one days
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: go to vote for one one dot org something. Are
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: you all getting a sense from people that you know
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: that they are really angry enough, that they're really engaged
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: enough to want to get to the polls? Yeah, I am, Steve,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: I am with the people. I'm not asking about you.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I'm just saying in general, I am getting that. What's
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: what's the sense you're getting from people? They're excited? Especially
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: with Kamala Harris being picked that really, you know, took
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: it over the top as well. People. Yeah, people are
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: fired up about voting. They really are. You know what
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: I don't see I still don't see the youth fired up.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I don't see that. I don't see the kids and
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I don't know when you're what I see it from
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: the youth. Well, then that means we have to do
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: more to convince them this is important. If that's not
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: the case, those are the same kids that were marching.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: They're going to vote, and people have an attitude that
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: it doesn't matter what you do. Trump, we are going
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: to vote and we want to vote you out. We're
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: determined that you have got And he knows us. He
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: knows everybody is against him, everybody side, but he knows
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: he feels that you're right, Jay. And I tell you
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: what steve the people that I hang around my friends,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: the frustration. You know what drives people to the polls
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: or what what? What issue are they going to be
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: voting on? For my friends, it's the pandemic. It's the
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: fact that these children are not in school. This has
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: affected a lot of people. Unemployment, the fact that they
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: have to find childcare. I have friends who are teachers
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: who have to send their kids to school because they
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: have to go to school. Even if the kids are
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: online we're doing virtual class, the teachers still have to
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: go to work, so they got to go to the
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: class to teach the kids online. So they have to
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: send their kids to school. And you had no plan
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: for these kids. Nothing is the lot of leadership. You
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: know what? Carl is absolutely correct, and that's that suburban
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: mom crew that he's trying to desperately appeal to now
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: with the term with the scare tactic, which is all
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: he knows how to do, intimidation, divisiveness, scare tactics. He's
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: saying that I'll keep your suburbs safe. Yea, like those
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: people that say those inner cities rioting and looting. I'm
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the law and order president, and I'll keep your your suburbans,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: your suburbs safe. Here's what mister living in a bubble
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: doesn't know. There are tremendous number of black people that
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: live in the suburbs, a lot, a lot. That's not
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: that fear. See, he's creating a fear. Nothing's creeping into
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: the suburbs. Wow, if you have crime in your city,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: you have crime in your city. I just think that.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: I think also that those young people that were involved
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: in that big drive for gun control, that shooting that
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: occurred down in Florida. Yes, those those children are of
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: voting age. Now they have not forgotten. They've stayed in
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: touch because see now remember back then it was what
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: are you gonna do about the guns? Partners? And now
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: it ever was a big fight. Well, all that's diminished
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: because what took over the fight was Corona and then
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Corona came and allowed us to see Aubrey and Floyd
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: die at the hands of racist and so now right
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: that we came back, but those people are still there
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: and still angry, and Carlin's absolutely correct, absolutely correct. These
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: people that are sending their kids to school, and now
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: there's one hundred thousand new cases in these schools and
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: children are going to I see you because you said,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: if you don't open these schools back up, I'm not
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: going to fund you. You said that I'm gonna take
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: another area. I'm gonna tell you another area that he's
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: gonna have issues with two college universities, these kids. I'm
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: gonna tell you something about sports kid. Yeah, Hey, I'm
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: a parent of an athlete, Tommy's parent of an athlete.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: These athletes who had no plan for these kids to
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: play in high school, college, their careers. These people, these
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: kids train a long time and you have nothing they
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: can and does distract. Trump has managed, he has managed,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: He has managed to affect everybody in a negative way. Yeah, everybody,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: everybody that way. Yeah, And I'm not trying to be funny,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Please don't take it that way. But I want to
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: know what your rich friends think. I do. That's well,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: see I'm not I'm really not trying to funny. No. See, listen, man,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: Corona has affected everybody, the black, the white, the Asian,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: the Latino, the rich, the poor, the have and the
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: have nots. Corona has been the ultimate equalizer because people
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: with money have been dying, and so there is a
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: concern now. Rich friends that I talked to, they can't
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: stand Donald Trump, even the ones who voted for him.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: I've had a conversation we reached people going, yeah, I
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: voted for him because I'm a conservative man. I needed
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: certain judges in there and stuff he said. But the
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: things he's done to this country morally, they say, I'm
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: not sure we can recover, and I'm not going to
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: vote for this guy again. Let's go vote for one
