- 2:03Speaker 1: A good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice. Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now one and on it. Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Hey man, back in business too? Man Man?
- 2:16Speaker 1: How good is God? I mean, really, if you think
- 2:18Speaker 1: about it in spite of all that's going down in
- 2:20Speaker 1: your life, first of all, it could be worse. But secondly,
- 2:24Speaker 1: sometimes you have to remember. And I've just had to
- 2:27Speaker 1: have this conversation with myself this morning. That's how I'm
- 2:31Speaker 1: fresh on this one right here. When a challenge faces you,
- 2:36Speaker 1: are you going through a difficult moment or you didn't
- 2:39Speaker 1: hit a bump in the road in the middle of that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: If you could manage to be grateful, it would take
- 2:45Speaker 1: you a long way. Gratitude is a powerful resource if
- 2:51Speaker 1: you can be grateful in the middle of it. Gratitude
- 2:55Speaker 1: is a powerful resource when it's dim for you. And
- 2:59Speaker 1: a got a little bumpy on the road and he
- 3:02Speaker 1: ran into some obstacles, and you didn't ran up into
- 3:05Speaker 1: some d tools signs, and your journey ain't smooth as
- 3:08Speaker 1: it was last week or or last year. You gotta
- 3:13Speaker 1: be grateful for the things that are going right and
- 3:18Speaker 1: that have gone right, and for the thing that's wrong
- 3:21Speaker 1: right now to get right? Man? Can I share that
- 3:24Speaker 1: with you? Man? Is that a tough one to learn?
- 3:27Speaker 1: It is for me. It has been one of my
- 3:30Speaker 1: toughest challenges is to learn how to be grateful because
- 3:35Speaker 1: it's a powerful resource, but how to be grateful in
- 3:38Speaker 1: moments of despair when it ain't going right. See here's
- 3:41Speaker 1: a mistake I would make. See when something go wrong,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I want to focus on the wrong so much in
- 3:47Speaker 1: an attempt to fix it. But even then the focus
- 3:52Speaker 1: ain't always in to fix it. The focus becomes, Man,
- 3:56Speaker 1: this is bad. Man, I can't believe this is happening.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I just keep going down. That doesn't fix anything, you know,
- 4:05Speaker 1: mealing over it, going over what's wrong, explaining it, sharing
- 4:11Speaker 1: it with your friends, you know, making it sound worse
- 4:15Speaker 1: than it is, tell the story for pity from other people.
- 4:19Speaker 1: All of that right there, has nothing to do with
- 4:21Speaker 1: the fix. Sometimes you're just mulling over it. You're just
- 4:24Speaker 1: making it worse. You're just making it a bigger problem.
- 4:28Speaker 1: You're you're manifesting it into your atmosphere, You're putting it
- 4:31Speaker 1: out there in your spirit. Now all of a sudden,
- 4:33Speaker 1: it consumes your day. Next thing, you know, you're having
- 4:36Speaker 1: a bad day. If you're having a bad day, it's
- 4:39Speaker 1: because you've been having some bad thoughts. So what I've
- 4:42Speaker 1: had to learn how to do, and what I'm working
- 4:44Speaker 1: on this morning is I'm working on the situation that's
- 4:48Speaker 1: been cropped up. I was going kind of smooth here
- 4:51Speaker 1: for a minute, and now I even got real bumpy
- 4:53Speaker 1: in the road, you know, and all this here. So
- 4:56Speaker 1: what I'm thinking about now, though, is even though I've
- 4:58Speaker 1: hit a bump in the road, and even though I've
- 5:01Speaker 1: ran into a detour, and even though I've hit this love,
- 5:06Speaker 1: I'm going down into a valley. I ain't up on
- 5:09Speaker 1: the peak. Can I not still be grateful for all
- 5:13Speaker 1: the things that God has given me, for all the
- 5:16Speaker 1: things He's done for me, for all the things he's
- 5:19Speaker 1: brought me through, and realizing that even this that's happening
- 5:24Speaker 1: to me again is going to pass too. He gonna
- 5:27Speaker 1: get me through that attitude. Come on, man, God is
- 5:30Speaker 1: a good god. Man. It's a lot to be grateful for.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So while I'm tripping on this bumping the road out
- 5:35Speaker 1: and here, what I gotta remember is all the things
- 5:37Speaker 1: He's done for me. And like I said, my saying
- 5:40Speaker 1: is joined depression cannot reside in the same place. So
- 5:43Speaker 1: instead of being down about this new bumping the road,
- 5:46Speaker 1: if I'm constantly filling my mind with the thoughts of
- 5:50Speaker 1: how good He's been to me, of what all He's
- 5:53Speaker 1: done for me, of all the things he's brought me through,
- 5:56Speaker 1: of all the blessings He's presented me with, when I
- 5:58Speaker 1: go down that list, I really don't have a lot
- 6:01Speaker 1: of time to mull over the situation. Now. Do I
- 6:07Speaker 1: have to fix this bump in the road. Of course
- 6:10Speaker 1: I do. Are There's some things I'm going to have
- 6:12Speaker 1: to do the straighten it out, of course it is.
- 6:15Speaker 1: But Steve just going to get the business of doing
- 6:18Speaker 1: it and straighten it out. What you're mulling over and
- 6:20Speaker 1: wearying about it for you know, old people. I heard
- 6:23Speaker 1: old people say something I was growing up in the church.
- 6:25Speaker 1: They say, if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry
- 6:27Speaker 1: about it. But if you're gonna worry about it, don't
- 6:30Speaker 1: pray about it. That's an amazing thing. And prayer just
- 6:34Speaker 1: happens to be my weapon of choice. Now it ain't
- 6:37Speaker 1: always been that way. I want you to understand that
- 6:40Speaker 1: my first weapon of choice was you do it to me,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I do it to you. You called me out. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: called you out. You say something bad about me. I've
- 6:47Speaker 1: tried to find you say something bad about you. That
- 6:50Speaker 1: was my weapon in the past. How did that work
- 6:53Speaker 1: out for you, Steve? Not so good? Because you know what,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I spent a lot of time fight back, kicking back,
- 7:01Speaker 1: swinging back, when I could have spent all that time climbing. See,
- 7:06Speaker 1: all you're trying to do at the end of the day, folks,
- 7:09Speaker 1: is have a better life than the one you got.
- 7:11Speaker 1: All you're trying to do is to improve your position
- 7:14Speaker 1: in life. You know, it's not my business to make
- 7:17Speaker 1: sure you don't get where you're going. Ain't got no
- 7:19Speaker 1: time for that. It's not my job to assure that
- 7:23Speaker 1: you ain't as high as me. I ain't got no
- 7:26Speaker 1: time for that. Your real mission and purpose is to
- 7:29Speaker 1: have the best life that you can have, to as
- 7:32Speaker 1: sin to the highest plateau that you can get to,
- 7:36Speaker 1: to make your family as comfortable as you can, to
- 7:39Speaker 1: provide as much as you can for your family. But legally, see,
- 7:43Speaker 1: those of us are sitting up here trying to come
- 7:45Speaker 1: up with sideways. You can ask a couple of million
- 7:47Speaker 1: men sitting in prison today how they wish they hadn't
- 7:50Speaker 1: have done that, and they'll tell you, Oh, man, I
- 7:54Speaker 1: wish I never had did it. I knew not to
- 7:56Speaker 1: go down there. Something told me not to go down there. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 1: If I could change things, I would. But they're sitting
- 8:03Speaker 1: somewhere doing some time that had they made another decision,
- 8:07Speaker 1: they wouldn't have to do now. I don't make them
- 8:09Speaker 1: throw away people, no man, because everybody makes mistakes, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: God is in the forgiving business. And some of us
- 8:16Speaker 1: have done some things that really broke the law, and
- 8:19Speaker 1: a whole lot of other things and deserve to do
- 8:22Speaker 1: some time. But through the grace of God, we didn't.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But now we set up here and we passed judgment
- 8:26Speaker 1: on people who got to do something that I don't care.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't care what you've done. God can't forgive anything,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but our position, our motivation in life is to try
- 8:36Speaker 1: to have the best life we can have and provide
- 8:38Speaker 1: for those around us and make it comfortable. If that's
- 8:41Speaker 1: your ambition, you don't have time to worry about or
- 8:45Speaker 1: concern yourself with another person. And I wasted time doing that,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and that's not the way to get it done. It's
- 8:54Speaker 1: simply mine to your business. Taking care of you and
- 8:57Speaker 1: getting yourself right and tight. Is twenty seven so that's
- 9:00Speaker 1: a full time job. So what I had to learn
- 9:03Speaker 1: was and what I've the reason I've chosen prayer as
- 9:07Speaker 1: as my weapon of choice now is that now prayer
- 9:10Speaker 1: helps me that I don't have to fight back. Now,
- 9:14Speaker 1: if I get cornered, I'm gonna fight you. I ain't
- 9:18Speaker 1: even gonna lie to you. And now I'm still working
- 9:20Speaker 1: on some things that trigger me. You know, you know
- 9:25Speaker 1: you know and and and and so I'm I'm I'm
- 9:27Speaker 1: I'm slowly getting better at that. But I've learned that
- 9:31Speaker 1: my weapon of choice is prayer. Now, So when it
- 9:36Speaker 1: happens ugly for me, I pray about it. When you
- 9:39Speaker 1: get tight and dismal for me, I pray about it.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And the thing about prayer, man, is prayer changes things.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yes it does. Now you ain't got to believe me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Read about it and try it. Prayer changes thing. Every faith,
- 10:01Speaker 1: every faith implements prayer. If you are in a faith
- 10:09Speaker 1: that's about anything. Say, I don't care what religion you choose,
- 10:11Speaker 1: don't make me no difference, but all religions are based
- 10:15Speaker 1: around this. Here there is a God, there is a
- 10:18Speaker 1: connection to God, and there's a relationship with God. You
- 10:22Speaker 1: gotta get all them three things together. I don't know
- 10:25Speaker 1: if I explained it right, but hey, listen to me. Man,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I don't care what you call God, but you do
- 10:31Speaker 1: have to call him. And when you call him, whatever
- 10:34Speaker 1: name you got attached to it, that's your business. But
- 10:37Speaker 1: the deal is the relationship is in the prayer. Is
- 10:41Speaker 1: you talking to him, waiting on a response, him asking
- 10:45Speaker 1: your back, that's a relationship. Try to have a relationship
- 10:48Speaker 1: with a man or woman without talking back and forth.
- 10:50Speaker 1: See how long that one go for you, See how
- 10:52Speaker 1: well it goes. That's the deal. Okay, come on, prayer
- 10:55Speaker 1: as a wonderful weapon. You're listening to top top top
- 11:03Speaker 1: top top of them owning. That's right top of the owner.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It's Steve Harvey Mourner show and Stevens out. But the
- 11:08Speaker 1: crew was in and We're gonna make it do what
- 11:10Speaker 1: it do. I'm gonna make it do what it do.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Not We're gonna make it do what you do. It's
- 11:16Speaker 1: the one and only the nephew holding it down, and
- 11:18Speaker 1: the crew is here. The beautiful ladies, Oh, ladies, ladies,
- 11:24Speaker 1: latest ladies, ladies, ladies, ladies, ladid the ladies in the
- 11:28Speaker 1: bill and call the ferrel and Shairley Straw Barret, haughty nephew.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday, Happy, happy Thursday. And the
- 11:38Speaker 1: bars are here. Money out there Now what is going
- 11:45Speaker 1: on is thay? Yeah, I know almost there, almost to
- 11:50Speaker 1: the finished. Almost hump day, that's what they say from
- 11:54Speaker 1: way behind on my humping on hump Yeah that was yesterday.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I cared all the messed up. What you're saying, I
- 12:04Speaker 1: care is the hump all the way into the weekend.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I don't win. Well, I'm dating a humpback drop, So
- 12:10Speaker 1: that's a whole you don't see much of them anymore.
- 12:15Speaker 1: She's the last, the last one, the last stupid. That
- 12:23Speaker 1: is so wrong, That is so wrong. But the people
- 12:27Speaker 1: that I'm dating Wilson right, I got taber. Yeah, opened
- 12:41Speaker 1: the back inconvenience or is it? No? Not at all? No, no, no.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The we take a shopping at humps Us. It's a
- 12:51Speaker 1: clothing store out in Santa Monica. They sell to only
- 12:56Speaker 1: the humpbacks. Well, you can show up online if you
- 13:01Speaker 1: don't be seen, and humps shipping to the house people
- 13:07Speaker 1: dot com. Yeah, it's kind of confused because it hasn't
- 13:10Speaker 1: depend on what side your hump is own. You know,
- 13:13Speaker 1: if your humps on the right side or the left side,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you just you can't just buy stuff if you got
- 13:19Speaker 1: a hump on the right side or a left side jacket,
- 13:22Speaker 1: you know, you have you have to go on the
- 13:24Speaker 1: left side hump part of the store. Okay, so my bad.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I thought it was just in the middle. Someone middle
- 13:31Speaker 1: humps some middle hump. Yeah, okay, wow the things. You
- 13:35Speaker 1: can have a low hump. You can have a low hump, yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 1: very low. Yeah, it looks like a high ask but
- 13:42Speaker 1: it's not. It's just say, did that have anything to do.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Tommy would know that that, Tommy would know we know
- 13:49Speaker 1: that area. Yeah, okay, I'm not a humper, a butter backer,
- 13:59Speaker 1: you are. They got back? Oh my god, Jake, So
- 14:11Speaker 1: the relationship is going well, you look happy you're asking
- 14:21Speaker 1: because al right, listen, it's that time of year, everybody.
- 14:30Speaker 1: We're going to talk about family reunions when we come back. Alright,
- 14:35Speaker 1: family reunions. A lot goes on in those family reunions.
- 14:38Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, as promised,
- 14:45Speaker 1: a lot of family reunions going on this time of
- 14:48Speaker 1: the year, you know, summertime, fourth of July, all of that, Carl,
- 14:52Speaker 1: You're going to one this weekend, right, family reunion. Well,
- 14:57Speaker 1: family reunions this weekend in New Orleans. Yes, my Ami,
- 15:02Speaker 1: it's time to celebrate families all over the world in churches, backyards, restaurants,
- 15:06Speaker 1: amusement parts, and yes, a summer meeting at prison. Nevertheless,
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's it's a family reunion. Yeah, I didn't. I didn't
- 15:16Speaker 1: know that people do go to the prison to have
- 15:18Speaker 1: a little gathering, a little gathering. I don't want to
- 15:21Speaker 1: leave nobody out. Nobody should be left. So so in
- 15:25Speaker 1: lieu of all of that. In light of all of that,
- 15:27Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show is going to take you
- 15:30Speaker 1: to the sounds of every family reunion. We'll give you
- 15:34Speaker 1: the sounds of what it sounds like. Yes, that the mood. Yeah,
- 15:39Speaker 1: this is what you're here. Yeah, these are some of
- 15:44Speaker 1: the things you'll hear at the family reunion. I can't
- 15:48Speaker 1: come of them. Leave she's pregnant, little that. Oh, I
- 16:00Speaker 1: cannot stand her with her booze yourself talking about me.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I didn't stop the woman for coming here. They're coming here?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Has the boy? Mama? What the hell are you doing here?
- 16:15Speaker 1: They always breathe, they always take more did they bring?
- 16:21Speaker 1: I tell you what I always knew even different. I
- 16:27Speaker 1: always knew she was different. Okay, all he was doing
- 16:32Speaker 1: was dancing. That's how we're going dancing. We can't dance. Look, look,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you're trying to break you're trying to break me up
- 16:42Speaker 1: with my family. All right. I told you I'll call
- 16:44Speaker 1: you later, and I say that all right. Okay, Now
- 16:50Speaker 1: this is after the alcohol. That was before alcohol. As
- 16:57Speaker 1: we take you through the sounds of the family reunion
- 17:00Speaker 1: is after alcohol. Okay, here we go. I didn't say
- 17:08Speaker 1: your baby was stupid, I said, he was acting stupid.
- 17:16Speaker 1: He all I said is you you didn't pay me?
- 17:24Speaker 1: All right, whatever, whatever. You wouldn't have this problem if
- 17:27Speaker 1: you dated your own race. We leave when I say,
- 17:33Speaker 1: we're ready to leave. Okay, I don't know why she
- 17:38Speaker 1: said that. I ain't never seen that woman in my life.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I don't know what. Damn it. Next year, y'all picked
- 17:49Speaker 1: the T shirts after alcohol I designed, get that making
- 17:58Speaker 1: prone from her, I don't get it from my dad.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Get her from up dead. I need to hear that.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Get her from up dead? Everything is everything robbing, Go
- 18:14Speaker 1: get that baby from up dead. When we hear that, well,
- 18:18Speaker 1: why do you have all that foil? Robert? What did
- 18:23Speaker 1: all that? You're not taking all that food this year?
- 18:27Speaker 1: She's not in the boom shocking out of hell. No, no,
- 18:32Speaker 1: the white lady you would like? I said, like I said,
- 18:37Speaker 1: he wouldn't have had that problem had he dated his
- 18:39Speaker 1: own race. I'm not gonna say it again. Can't stop
- 18:41Speaker 1: the one from coming. Yeah, I really don't like the shirts.
- 18:47Speaker 1: What's wrong? I'm telling all right now, tell you right
- 18:51Speaker 1: now what Margaret made him his happen? Did that Larry's
- 18:58Speaker 1: boy free? Right? Yeah? Keep talking when you go to
- 19:05Speaker 1: the restroom, because we know how you are. Keep talking,
- 19:11Speaker 1: we know what you do. You still and take the spoons,
- 19:15Speaker 1: which come come in, come in, because I nobody ever
- 19:20Speaker 1: said come in. That ain't your dad, that's not you.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm tired of it every year y'all think that's that's
- 19:27Speaker 1: not your daddy. Wait a minute, I don't know. I
- 19:31Speaker 1: don't know if she sleep or is she dead. I
- 19:33Speaker 1: don't know. Dad. Right here, come in, come in, come in.
- 19:40Speaker 1: You're on that stuff again. You're back on that stuff again.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Look at Betty. I thought he was.
- 19:53Speaker 1: If you don't we want to last? Why she got
- 19:56Speaker 1: that on? What? Why does she's too hot? Out of
- 19:59Speaker 1: here for a let cheeks? At the family reunion, she's
- 20:04Speaker 1: standing in the kitchen an hour and half. Ain't wash
- 20:08Speaker 1: your damn plate? Not one plate? Ain't will Is there
- 20:12Speaker 1: a beard you on your kids? What is that? What
- 20:15Speaker 1: is that? That's wrong? And now all that tworking on
- 20:20Speaker 1: any Look at that they ain't dancing? Get your hands
- 20:24Speaker 1: off your knees? And whose baby is that? Right? There?
- 20:29Speaker 1: Is that? Ah? Y'all don't know nothing about this. No,
- 20:33Speaker 1: we don't know. We don't know nothing. About that. Don't
- 20:37Speaker 1: know about it, Sit down, don't know about your kids,
- 20:39Speaker 1: don't need to see that. I ain't question. I got
- 20:42Speaker 1: a coition ship. But how long are they gonna wobble
- 20:47Speaker 1: in their versions? They've been wobbling for seven minutes. Now,
- 20:52Speaker 1: I know you ain't been drinking my crown. I know,
- 20:55Speaker 1: damn well, you ain't been in my purple bay. It's
- 20:57Speaker 1: out here for everybody, the family. This ain't in the budget.
- 21:03Speaker 1: We laid out money. We could drink what we want
- 21:06Speaker 1: to drink. How many places is she gonna get? How many? Listen?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Everybody got to eat everybody clubs lay it. Okay, you
- 21:15Speaker 1: can't cut down clubs late. Don't go with the book,
- 21:18Speaker 1: go back right now with the boat. I don't want
- 21:22Speaker 1: to start nothing. But these are some ugly shirts. I
- 21:27Speaker 1: heard that. I heard about a T shirts. And they
- 21:30Speaker 1: say it one more time, say T shirt on time.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Let's see what happens. They look at big Mama, Look
- 21:40Speaker 1: at big Mama. She's keeping up. And you can wobble,
- 21:45Speaker 1: but your fail in school wobbling all day? It up
- 21:56Speaker 1: like I said, Like I said, we wouldn't have this
- 22:00Speaker 1: problem if he is stuck with his own race, right,
- 22:03Speaker 1: girl with me. That's who she went. Okay, this problem
- 22:08Speaker 1: uncer line, un Uncle Ray in the back with your wife.

- 35:02Speaker 1: one and only Mina and trip. Thank you very much,
- 35:06Speaker 1: all right, by good morning. This is and trip for
- 35:08Speaker 1: the news. Let's start out with this a cold one
- 35:10Speaker 1: in iceberg and iceberg the size of the state of
- 35:13Speaker 1: Delaware has broken off from the ice mask that makes
- 35:16Speaker 1: up Antarctica, and scientists say that makes it one of
- 35:19Speaker 1: the biggest icebergs ever recorded and weighs some one trillion tons.
- 35:23Speaker 1: And they say they're watching closely to see whether global
- 35:25Speaker 1: warming is to blame for this one. President Trump's choice
- 35:28Speaker 1: to replace James Comey as FBI director on Capitol Hill
- 35:31Speaker 1: yesterday as the Conners considers his nomination. Christopher Ray worked
- 35:34Speaker 1: in national security during the Bush administration. He told lawmakers
- 35:37Speaker 1: that he has not been asked to take any loyalty
- 35:39Speaker 1: pledge like the one Comey says he had to, but
- 35:42Speaker 1: that Trump tried to make him take before he was fired.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Ray says his loyalties to the Constitution, the rule of law,
- 35:47Speaker 1: and the mission of the FBI would just say. Anybody
- 35:50Speaker 1: who thinks that I would be pulling punches as the
- 35:53Speaker 1: FBI director should unknown me very well. Also, when I asked,
- 35:56Speaker 1: Ray said he did not consider the current investigation into
- 35:59Speaker 1: alleged Russian eddling in the election to be a witch hunt,
- 36:01Speaker 1: which is how Trump has been describing it. Joe Scarborough,
- 36:05Speaker 1: the co host of MSNBC's Morning Joe, says that's it
- 36:08Speaker 1: for him and the GOP. Scarborough, a form Republican congressman,
- 36:12Speaker 1: expresses anger and disappointment with his party to Stephen Colbert
- 36:15Speaker 1: on The Late Show, and Donald Trump supported a Muslim band.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I said on the air, said I can never vote
- 36:22Speaker 1: for anybody in my party. They would say they were
- 36:25Speaker 1: going to ban people because of the god they worshiped.
- 36:28Speaker 1: When he talked about David Duke and pretended that he
- 36:30Speaker 1: didn't know who David Duke was, and didn't know what
- 36:32Speaker 1: the ku Klux Klan did. They always overlooked that. When
- 36:35Speaker 1: he called a guy from Indiana, he attacked him, said
- 36:38Speaker 1: he can ever be fair because he's Hispanic. Republicans didn't
- 36:41Speaker 1: come out and say I can never vote for Donald
- 36:43Speaker 1: Trump because he's a racist. Time and time and time again,
- 36:47Speaker 1: they turned the other way, and they're doing the same thing. Now.
- 36:50Speaker 1: How much of this country and our values are they
- 36:52Speaker 1: willing to sell out? But aren't you a Republican? I
- 36:56Speaker 1: am a Republican, but I'm not going to be a
- 36:59Speaker 1: Republican anymore. I've gotta become an independent. President Trump recently
- 37:04Speaker 1: suggested that Scarborough's co host and fiance Mika Brazinski had
- 37:08Speaker 1: been bleeding due to a bad facelift, So I mean
- 37:10Speaker 1: that was really it for him. Far President Obama schedule
- 37:13Speaker 1: to attend a Democratic fundraisers tonight in washing In, d C,
- 37:16Speaker 1: one of the first times Mr Obama has appeared on
- 37:18Speaker 1: behalf of his party since leaving the White House. Tonight's
- 37:21Speaker 1: event to benefit the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, which is
- 37:25Speaker 1: focusing on unfair jerry mandering, and Tonight's events to be
- 37:29Speaker 1: chaired by former Attorney General Eric holder and a lot
- 37:31Speaker 1: of folks are going to be in attendance. Bill Cosby,
- 37:34Speaker 1: searching for a new lawyer, the attorney representing from his
- 37:37Speaker 1: June sex assault trial, has filed the motion to withdraw
- 37:40Speaker 1: as his counsel apparently doesn't get along with Cosby's publicists.
- 37:43Speaker 1: And today express your geekness day and beans and Frank's Day.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I like my beans of corn bread. What you're gonna do?
- 37:53Speaker 1: This has been a trip, and we'll be back with
- 37:55Speaker 1: Eugene the Butterfly twenty minutes after the hours. Stay tuned
- 37:57Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're saying, Steve Harvey
- 38:01Speaker 1: Morning Show, alright, but Flat the Butterfly. It is Tad Butterfly.

- 38:27Speaker 1: is who I'm speaking to. Good Morninguene. Today we're gonna
- 38:33Speaker 1: be talking about devastating moments because that's what I'm going through. Devastation. Um.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I rewinded. I rewinded the tape yesterday and I looked
- 38:46Speaker 1: at it over and over again, and it was just
- 38:50Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning radio morning show on the
- 38:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Talk Show, and it was very ev stating,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and to my public, I just want you, I just
- 39:03Speaker 1: want you to know, it is a It is up
- 39:05Speaker 1: there with all of the great devastating moments that I
- 39:09Speaker 1: was not invited on this job to let it go.
- 39:14Speaker 1: It's up there. When when Kevin Durant left Russell Westbrook,
- 39:20Speaker 1: It's up there. It was just devastating. Is that big.
- 39:25Speaker 1: It's right up there. When when when lebron left Cleveland,
- 39:28Speaker 1: they was burning new jerseys in the street. It's devastating.
- 39:34Speaker 1: These are devastating moments. That is right up there with that,
- 39:38Speaker 1: me not being on this show, with the rest of
- 39:39Speaker 1: it's up there. With the night Hillary Clinton lost the
- 39:43Speaker 1: election is right up there there. Yeah, that's a stretch
- 39:50Speaker 1: out there with the greatest devastating moments of all time.
- 39:54Speaker 1: It's out there. When Michael Jackson left the group, It's
- 39:57Speaker 1: out there. It's up there. WHOA, everybody don't go through this,
- 40:05Speaker 1: but he's a devastating moment. This up there with James
- 40:08Speaker 1: Evans died is up there. Damn damn Dawn. Already devastating moments.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Me not being with the rest of the curo on
- 40:21Speaker 1: Steve Wannabe talking to show was a devastating moment. It's
- 40:25Speaker 1: right up there when Russell Wilson would not give beast
- 40:28Speaker 1: my old de boo on the two yard line and
- 40:32Speaker 1: devastated sports analogy and make no damn sense. It's devastating
- 40:41Speaker 1: everything you'll get past this moment. It's right up there.
- 40:48Speaker 1: It's right out there when Tim joined the lost Jay
- 40:52Speaker 1: Anthony Brown devastates. Now we can relate to what you're
- 40:56Speaker 1: talking about. Still, yea, even though even though I'm upset
- 41:01Speaker 1: with him right now. It's devastating. But all I canna say,
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'll be with I'll be with Tommy and Alabama here
- 41:13Speaker 1: all right, coming up next to time for a segment
- 41:16Speaker 1: from Carl. It it's called kids nowadays versus when we
- 41:20Speaker 1: were kids. We'll be back. You're listening to Steve, all right? Uh,
- 41:26Speaker 1: here we go. We all know on the show that
- 41:27Speaker 1: Carl is a mother of young Tasha who's nine years old.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Uh so, um, come on, Jay, explain this now you do.
- 41:37Speaker 1: The thing is is that when we were kids and
- 41:39Speaker 1: as opposed to having a channel now, it's totally different
- 41:42Speaker 1: in terms of what you gotta buy prices things they want.
- 41:46Speaker 1: You know, if you gave a kid a toy from
- 41:48Speaker 1: back in the day, they would look at you like
- 41:49Speaker 1: you crazy. What I'm gonna do with this? What I'm
- 41:52Speaker 1: gonna do with skates? All of that? I hate you, mommy.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Jay and I were talking about this, Shirley, so being
- 42:02Speaker 1: like you just said, I'm a mom of a younger girl, Tasha,
- 42:06Speaker 1: she's nine years old. I've noticed the difference, also, Jay,
- 42:09Speaker 1: between things when I was a kid, we were kids,
- 42:14Speaker 1: versus how things are for my kid. So, for example,
- 42:18Speaker 1: when I was a kid, if my mom, if she
- 42:20Speaker 1: wanted to send me to the movies, she could the movies,
- 42:25Speaker 1: no problems to the movies, to the movies. That's what
- 42:35Speaker 1: That's exactly exactly. If I wanted a Barbie doll, it
- 42:43Speaker 1: was under what ten dollars? Nowadays they're about twenty dollars.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Twenty dollars. Don't even get me started on American girl dolls.
- 42:53Speaker 1: They're about man, those dolls are about a hundred dollars.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Don't even talk about the accessories, their clothes, the gear.
- 43:02Speaker 1: I was and they have them dolls all the time.
- 43:06Speaker 1: It looked just like that. Yeah, reminds me of Chucky.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I wasn't happy with that paddle and that rubber band
- 43:15Speaker 1: in that ball. I don't know what you'all called a
- 43:19Speaker 1: paddle mall. That's all I needed right there? Yes, yes,
- 43:26Speaker 1: Now if we played video games. Now, if you guys
- 43:28Speaker 1: you know how these kids are into video games, if
- 43:31Speaker 1: we played video games at home, they were like nine
- 43:34Speaker 1: dollars you remember, tar Red went back. Yeah, yeah, dollars yeah,
- 43:45Speaker 1: all day long with that right. Yes. Nowadays Xbox play, Xbox,
- 43:52Speaker 1: what man Xbox? No, you will get the box. The
- 43:58Speaker 1: Xbox came in, has an Xbox and the mine Craft
- 44:06Speaker 1: and the Crazy Man. It's so expensive. Now, okay, think
- 44:13Speaker 1: about this. If I lost a tooth as a kid,
- 44:17Speaker 1: the tooth fairy. You remember tooth fairly maybe about a
- 44:20Speaker 1: quarter or like it was changing. It was a little change.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Now you cannot get the tooth fairy to come by
- 44:31Speaker 1: your house for less than ten dollars. Baby, these teeth
- 44:36Speaker 1: are expensive to my daddy. Would whatever in my pocket? Yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 1: if you ask for something else, I'm a knock another tooth. You. Now,
- 44:51Speaker 1: when I was a kid, I thought about this to
- 44:54Speaker 1: j when I damned my homework, I would ask my
- 44:57Speaker 1: mom for help, and then she it helped me. Right
- 45:01Speaker 1: now days I can't help my daughter. We don't carry
- 45:05Speaker 1: the one I told you all that you didn't carry.
- 45:08Speaker 1: The girl said, where's your kidding too? I see, did
- 45:15Speaker 1: not say that. That's funny. I kicked out. I'd help
- 45:19Speaker 1: my baby with homework. Scienst baby please. And also wait, wait,
- 45:25Speaker 1: so since we're talking about homework, if I need an
- 45:28Speaker 1: answer to something you remember back in the day or
- 45:31Speaker 1: when we were doing homework, you could look it up
- 45:33Speaker 1: in the botanica what they thing called catolic car the
- 45:43Speaker 1: Cadillac thing where you put it up sister yeat gaglet.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I don't know, just a I don't know. You could
- 45:59Speaker 1: just say, Alex, yeah, that's what my daughter does. All right,
- 46:07Speaker 1: thank you, Carlin nephew. Tommy's prank phone call is coming
- 46:10Speaker 1: up next. You're listening to show, all right, coming up
- 46:15Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes
- 46:18Speaker 1: after the hour. To be exact, get ready for today's
- 46:20Speaker 1: strawberry letter. And when I said get ready for it,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I really mean just that The subject is from sugar
- 46:26Speaker 1: Daddy to husband. Question mark from from from sugar Daddy
- 46:33Speaker 1: or splendid daddy to husband. Okay, all right, but up next,
- 46:39Speaker 1: Come on, nephew, tell me what this frank phone call
- 46:41Speaker 1: this ignorance? What do you have today? What do you
- 46:44Speaker 1: what's on the menu? This right here is called condom cleanse?
- 46:50Speaker 1: Oh mommy, sure is. Sometimes you just gotta make condom sense.
- 46:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 47:04Speaker 1: reach to Mikajamka. How you doing. I'm I'm Brad from
- 47:10Speaker 1: Quality Cleaners. I'm the manager over here. H Listen, um,
- 47:15Speaker 1: did you bring some clothes in this morning? No? I
- 47:18Speaker 1: didn't bring anything into you this morning. Okay, well listen.
- 47:22Speaker 1: We we got an order that was dropped off this
- 47:24Speaker 1: morning here. Uh, it's a couple of suits, some business
- 47:28Speaker 1: shirts and a few other things. But there's actually been
- 47:31Speaker 1: some articles actually left in the clothing, so that down. Okay,
- 47:38Speaker 1: he this morning. It was dropped off like around seven
- 47:41Speaker 1: this morning. But we got it's got let's work. It's
- 47:44Speaker 1: like about a hundred bucks cash in the pocket. There's
- 47:47Speaker 1: a couple of business cards. Uh, there's there's a cup
- 47:50Speaker 1: link here. I looked all over, as only one cup
- 47:52Speaker 1: link and then there's two condoms in here. So I
- 47:55Speaker 1: wanted to see if you guys wanted me to put
- 47:57Speaker 1: this in a flashy bag or something and have it,
- 48:00Speaker 1: have it? Can you repeat what was left in there? Again? Well,
- 48:06Speaker 1: like I said, we gotta Uh it's like right out
- 48:09Speaker 1: of Hunter maybe hunting five bucks of cash. Uh, there's
- 48:12Speaker 1: a business card from an insurance company. There's another business
- 48:16Speaker 1: card for um, what is this? This is? Uh? What
- 48:21Speaker 1: else was left right right? I'm trying to tell you
- 48:23Speaker 1: about all the business cards. I don't I'm not interested
- 48:26Speaker 1: in the business card because you said something else. Okay, No,
- 48:29Speaker 1: there's a couple link that we can't We can't find
- 48:31Speaker 1: the other couple link if it's here. We're we're looking
- 48:34Speaker 1: all over the bag to see if we can find it.
- 48:35Speaker 1: But we don't see that either. What else is in
- 48:38Speaker 1: this pocket? Like I said, you gotta you gotta hunted
- 48:41Speaker 1: dollars in here? There's some no, no, no, no, you
- 48:45Speaker 1: have said something to me. Yes, there's business cards. There's
- 48:50Speaker 1: an insurance card, business cards. You said something else, a
- 48:54Speaker 1: couple link. Now there's a couple link in here that
- 48:56Speaker 1: we can mean. Okay, well the last we there's two
- 49:02Speaker 1: condoms in here. Hello, what did did you say? Uh?
- 49:08Speaker 1: Like I said, there's a hundred dollars in the year.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Did you say, did you say there was some condoms
- 49:14Speaker 1: in there? There's two there's two extra large condoms in here. Hello,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I'm here. I'm just trying to dodge this all the
- 49:24Speaker 1: stuff that you had just said that that was in
- 49:27Speaker 1: my husband's pocket. Now you sure that this is my husband?
- 49:32Speaker 1: Chriss uh, well it has I mean maybe you know
- 49:37Speaker 1: the items man, this is there's a there's a gray suit.
- 49:40Speaker 1: There's also a solid blue suit that that sounds from
- 49:44Speaker 1: that sounds familiar. But I'm not understanding that some condoms.
- 49:50Speaker 1: The phone number, that the phone number that I called,
- 49:53Speaker 1: the number that attached to this actual order. So I mean,
- 49:57Speaker 1: this is the number we have on file? Is this
- 49:59Speaker 1: is his number or your home number? Or was you
- 50:02Speaker 1: say or what the number is this? This is our
- 50:05Speaker 1: house number. I just don't believe you know what what
- 50:09Speaker 1: you're telling me, because we just celebrated our our anniversary
- 50:14Speaker 1: last week? Is what? What? What? What? What? I mean?
- 50:17Speaker 1: What's what's wrong? Man? What's why? What's first about we
- 50:21Speaker 1: married and we never used condoms and then you look
- 50:24Speaker 1: that called to me talking about he got condoms left
- 50:27Speaker 1: in his supcoat pocket. I'm not under I'm oh, I
- 50:32Speaker 1: know he ain't cheating on me. Well not not, I
- 50:34Speaker 1: mean not necessarily. I mean, you know they could have
- 50:37Speaker 1: been there. Why he would have was in his pocket?
- 50:41Speaker 1: I just don't make any damn sense. If we married
- 50:44Speaker 1: and we don't use doesn't want of what do you
- 50:46Speaker 1: have condos in his pocket? I don't know. Man, you'd
- 50:49Speaker 1: have to talk to Chris about that one now. But
- 50:51Speaker 1: I guess my main reason is it you want me
- 50:53Speaker 1: to wait a minute. I wanted to know did you
- 50:56Speaker 1: did you clean anything? Yeah? Did you clean the sup? No,
- 51:00Speaker 1: we haven't cleaned it. I just I just started. I'm

- 51:04Speaker 1: want you to clean them thing and all those articles
- 51:07Speaker 1: that that you said. I want you to put it.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I want you to I want you to put everything,
- 51:13Speaker 1: including the damn kinds. I want you to put it
- 51:15Speaker 1: in the bag. I want you to put it in
- 51:17Speaker 1: the bag. Don't clean up, because I'm gonna come up
- 51:21Speaker 1: there and I'm gonna pick everything up. Okay. I mean
- 51:24Speaker 1: I'll be here all day. Like I said, my name
- 51:26Speaker 1: is Brad, and I'll be here if you want me
- 51:28Speaker 1: to um, if you want me to put him to
- 51:30Speaker 1: the side. I won't clean them. I just put him
- 51:33Speaker 1: to the side, and I leave him in the same
- 51:34Speaker 1: laundry bag you had when you dropped them all. I
- 51:36Speaker 1: don't Chris, I don't believe that I gave this. I'm
- 51:39Speaker 1: a good years of my life and he gonna turn
- 51:41Speaker 1: around cheat on me. You make sure you know I'm
- 51:43Speaker 1: clean up secause I'm a serious side on my damn self.
- 51:48Speaker 1: You put on that in the bag, I'm gonna call
- 51:50Speaker 1: my job and let him no, I'm not coming into that.
- 51:53Speaker 1: I don't want to slow down. I don't want you
- 51:56Speaker 1: to get to get to hysterical. I mean, you know
- 51:58Speaker 1: you're getting a little I regar you, okay, I'm I'm
- 52:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna be all right. I am gonna to be
- 52:04Speaker 1: all right when I get up there. Who Chris is
- 52:07Speaker 1: gonna get? That's all I got to say. You make
- 52:10Speaker 1: sure you have all that stuff not clean. I don't
- 52:13Speaker 1: want you to clean it. I want you to put
- 52:14Speaker 1: all that other that you said that you found in
- 52:17Speaker 1: the pocket. You put all that in the bad because
- 52:20Speaker 1: Chris is I don't know who that What do you
- 52:22Speaker 1: think what you like for me to call Chris? I
- 52:26Speaker 1: don't want you. No, no, no, no, look, Bobby, I
- 52:30Speaker 1: don't want you to wait man, wait wait wait wait.
- 52:33Speaker 1: My name's Bread, I'm Fred. I don't give a damn
- 52:37Speaker 1: what your name is. So I really jo't okay because
- 52:40Speaker 1: Chris is gonna get up. You just put everything in
- 52:43Speaker 1: the backside like I had asked you to. I am

- 52:52Speaker 1: man's that don't condoms coming three and you know what

- 52:59Speaker 1: I'm not to the man. Okay, Chris is gonna get
- 53:04Speaker 1: when you get home tonight. Here's here's something else in
- 53:07Speaker 1: the pocket too. There's a note in here. No, what
- 53:09Speaker 1: does this day? Okay? Man, you know what? This has
- 53:12Speaker 1: gotten way way out of hand. I don't want to
- 53:16Speaker 1: and you need a quick come at rocket. What you
- 53:19Speaker 1: mean to me? Not a fact? I want that in
- 53:22Speaker 1: the bad too. The more evidence I have, the better
- 53:25Speaker 1: off is gonna be from me. What did the note say?

- 56:27Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We gotta subject From sugar daddy
- 56:33Speaker 1: to husband do Stephen Shirley, I am a forty five
- 56:38Speaker 1: year old woman who has been in a relationship with
- 56:40Speaker 1: a man for ten years. He is fifteen years older
- 56:45Speaker 1: than me. When we first met, it was strictly business.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I was an exotic dancer and after time passed, yeah,
- 56:53Speaker 1: I was an exotic dancer. Yeah with those air quotes,
- 56:56Speaker 1: You're right, Jake. After time passed, we became a couple
- 57:00Speaker 1: and I allowed him to move in with me after
- 57:03Speaker 1: three years of dating because he was paying all of
- 57:06Speaker 1: my bills. Recently, he has been asking me about marriage.
- 57:10Speaker 1: For the past ten years, he was married to a
- 57:13Speaker 1: woman that lived hundreds of miles away. I knew he
- 57:17Speaker 1: was married, but I didn't care because I only wanted
- 57:19Speaker 1: his money. The next thing, I knew he was retiring
- 57:23Speaker 1: and he told me he was finally getting a divorce.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Now he's begging to marry me. Now he's begging me
- 57:29Speaker 1: to marry him. But I'm having doubts. Do you think
- 57:33Speaker 1: he wants to marry me because he's older now and
- 57:36Speaker 1: on a fixed income. Since I've been with him, Um,
- 57:40Speaker 1: I have gotten two degrees, landed a great job, and
- 57:43Speaker 1: I bought my dream bachelorette condo. I let him come
- 57:46Speaker 1: over once a week, and all he does is begged
- 57:49Speaker 1: me to marry him. I was at his hospital bedside
- 57:52Speaker 1: during a recent medical scare, and I don't know if
- 57:55Speaker 1: I can do that again. Now he may not fit
- 57:58Speaker 1: into my current lifet isle. So what should I do?
- 58:01Speaker 1: Should I marry him or say heck no and end
- 58:05Speaker 1: this relationship? I need your advice. Well, you, my dear,
- 58:08Speaker 1: first of all, are definitely not ready for marriage. You're
- 58:11Speaker 1: not ready for marriage at all. You've just brought your
- 58:13Speaker 1: bachelorette condo. You want to be single, and you want
- 58:17Speaker 1: to mingle and all of that. You know, and you
- 58:20Speaker 1: it just wouldn't last today, you know, with that kind
- 58:22Speaker 1: of attitude. So if you don't want the man, you
- 58:25Speaker 1: gotta let him go. You you, you have to let
- 58:27Speaker 1: him go. I don't think you're gonna be there for
- 58:29Speaker 1: him when he really needs you. He's already fifteen years
- 58:32Speaker 1: older than you, you're forty five, he's having medical scares.
- 58:36Speaker 1: You don't want to be there for him. You've said
- 58:38Speaker 1: it in your letter. You only wanted his money anyway.
- 58:41Speaker 1: So Let this man go. Uh, don't keep stringing him
- 58:44Speaker 1: along and taking his money. You've got your degrees, now
- 58:47Speaker 1: you have a great job. You move on with your life.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Let this man go and let him do the same. Jay.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Hey oh do oh, do oh, dude, I'm telling allowed
- 59:00Speaker 1: because the old it's over. Dude. It is. Sometimes you
- 59:05Speaker 1: get cookies in the in the cooking job and it's
- 59:07Speaker 1: full of cookies. Then you enjoy yourself and then they empty,
- 59:12Speaker 1: all the cookies are gone out to cooking job. Yeah,
- 59:17Speaker 1: time to grow up, move on. Yeah, it's it's over with.
- 59:20Speaker 1: She had fun. It's memories. Now you can sit down.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Time about back here in the day, I had it,
- 59:28Speaker 1: I had him my way had You don't know what
- 59:33Speaker 1: you're talking, my boy, back in the day, back two
- 59:37Speaker 1: thousand ten, whoa at? Shut up, fool, You had no exocting.
- 59:43Speaker 1: I did have an exocting your dance though there's boys.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Let it go. It's just memories, man, move on. Yeah.
- 59:53Speaker 1: I don't know if he can, but she certainly she has.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Definitely she's about to not give you that coat. Let
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you She's about not to buzz you up. That's about
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: to happen. She doesn't want to do the medical thing
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: at all anymore. She doesn't want to help him. So, yeah,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: you had fun, right, it's doomed. You're right, all right.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Come on, nephew, I can't wait to hear this ignorance.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: You stink, You just stink. That's just you're just so fine.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: You know what, you know what's amazing to me. He
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: was cool when you were stripping and needed a place
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: to stay. Everything was good. Now you got a couple degrees,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Now you got you lit apartment. Now you don't want
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: to play your role no more. See this is what

- 1:01:23Speaker 1: your head and the whole now yours. Now you're gonna
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: do this to him at the last minute, because I
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: know where he's going through. Sugar, the sugar honey iced tea.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: It's terrible. You don't feel it, you don't see it.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: You don't see what's going on. You. I've been treated

- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Uh huh, what happened a recent medical scared? Yes? When
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: wasn't it was recent? Now? Two questions. We don't know
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: is where and why? I think it happened at the
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: strip club. Now why what do you have a heart
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: of day? Because she was doing some dings. Don't make
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: a hard race. See upside down booty popping. We'll give
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: anybody heart attack. It happened to be almost went on.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: What was she upside that? Okay, leading falling heart attack.

- 1:03:38Speaker 1: went pneumonia. She was doing something and now she feels guilty.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I can't do this no more. Alright, alright, we'll be
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: back with part two of the Strawberry Letter from Sugar
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Daddy to husband. You're listening to Steve Hardy Morning Show. Okay,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: don't forget. Coming up at about twenty one after the
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: and about twenty minutes, I'll say it like that. Our girl,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Regina Hall, it's gonna yeah, we're gonna talk to her
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: about this summer Bloodbust and Junior's Bay. The Girl's Trip
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: is the summer movie. You see. Regina Hall will be
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: here to talk about that. But first let's get back
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: to this crazy strawberry letter. Subject from sugar Daddy to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: husband Nick question Mark sugar Daddy to husband h. If
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you do have relationship issues, make sure you email us
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey dot com and we will help you out,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: just like we're trying to help this woman out. She's
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: forty five years old. She's been in a relationship with
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: a man for ten years. He is fifteen years older
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: than she is. Yeah, okay, do the math yick don't
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: carry the one because they don't. No, no, no. So
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: when they first met, well yeah, yeah, when they first met,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: it was strictly business, she says, because she was a
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: what jay, she was an extension. So after time passed,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: they did, you know, become a couple. And she did
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: allow him to move in with her after they dated
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: about three three years, because this is why she let
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: him move in, because he was paying all of her bills.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: So that's where the sugar daddy park came in. But recently,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: she says, he's been asking her to marry him. Okay, so, uh,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: she she was married and she knew it, but his
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: wife lived hundreds of miles away, and now he's retiring,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: he's divorcing. I have no idea divorcing. Okay, when I
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: hear that part for the past ten years, it says
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: for the past ten years he was married to a
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: woman that lived a hundred miles away. She knew he
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: was married, but she didn't care because she only wanted
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: his money. Yeah, we're talking about the exotic dance. Are
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: you crazy? Right now? You like living? You just way
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: over there and I'm way have you done your bucket list?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: You're out of here. You keep talking like that. Okay, So,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: so this woman wants to know if we think he
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: wants to marry her because he's older now and on
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: a fixed income, and since she's been with him, her
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: life has changed. She's gotten two degrees, she landed a
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: great job, she brought a dream condo. You know. Just yeah,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: but you know he's older, so he's been in hospital,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: he at a medical scare. She doesn't want to do
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: that anymore. Heart attack, Yeah, it doesn't say heart attack.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Dances give heart attacks, they don't give pneumonia. Talk about
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: an exotic Yeah, you're never the same. Her question is
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: her question is should she marry him because he doesn't
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: fit into her current lifestyle, she's saying, or should she
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: just end the relationship? Yeah? I just have one thing
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: to say, Can we just make a roundn't make many
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: rules around you because you're just I just got it.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: And then with six seven days from now on, we
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: have like letters that have age over sixty. Could you
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: run needs by me? Just to make sure this is
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: not my life just saying about me, somebody writing in
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: about me. No, I've never had a heart attack. It
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: doesn't say heart attack. And you never had a medical shore.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: You know I'm sorry about you, ja, oh my god.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: And you want to fix j I'm not. No, No,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: I know that you say chicken everybody. I know you
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: gotta you know. I know I'm not gonna because that
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: can get all my medication one time. You know how
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: I know this? You know I know this isn't about you.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: You know, because he keeps asking her to marry him.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Do you go, Jake, you're off. Yeah, you're off the hook, Bruce.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Wayne keeps saying he wasn't Batman either, keeps trying to
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: mislead us. Yeah, so let this go break up, guys,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: And she's not work. She doesn't want to about She
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: still says she about that, like, yeah, she's not. She
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: doesn't want to be bothered with your medical stars. Yeah,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: and you're all of this. You got your little she's
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: still breaking him off once a week though you might
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: bring him my one. That's all he can take. Medical.

- 1:13:20Speaker 1: It's not hard with you. We're huge, huge fans of yours, Regina.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: And this movie Girl's Trip looks like so much fun.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Carl and I can relate to the Girls Trip of
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: course with our girlfriends and everything, but like in the
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Girls Trip movie, we don't get to do it as
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: often as we'd like to because of our jobs of course,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: in our family. In the movie, you and the girls
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: get together for a trip to the essence. Best tell
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: us about the movie, Regina. Please you play Ryan in
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: the movie? Right? Yes, I play Ryan. Ryan has a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: she's a she's um, she's a author, and she's written
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: a book called You Can Have It All. So she's
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: kind of like this self Huru whose wife she's married
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: to a former you know, huge football player in her life.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Just it's like she has it all, it's perfect. And
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: then of course, you know one thing that's missing is
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: she she hasn't you know, been able to hang with
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: her girls. She goes on that weekend and then a
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: lot of stuff just comes out, gets revealed, and it's
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: kind of it's I mean, it's a hard art. You know,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: there's some there's some there's some of some bad words, ye,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: bad words, and some some moments that my mama blushed that.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: My mother looked at me last night and she said,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: y'all are healthy in this movie. And I was like, Ollama,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: but she smiled too much, which which made me know
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: she lived some of those moments. So I was uncomfortable.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I was like mine, mommy exactly. But we had you know,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: we had so much fun. Shooting in New Orleans is
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: great and and and essence fast. You know, it was
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: great and we love getting an opportunity to show really
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: how um you know the complexity of black women. You know,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I think that's kind of one dimensional portrayals where we're
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: there for that, but you know we are I think
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: I think uh, earlier today, Will said we're pious and
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: ratchet at the same time, and you know, and loving
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: and supportive and and we like to have fun too,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: and we'd like to see it on the screen. Would
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: you say you like your character or another character in
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: the movie? Which would would you say you're most like?
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I probably would say I have a lot of similarities
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: to to Ryan at this point. But you know, there's
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: a point where you know, I've been a little bit
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: of Dinah, not a mommy yet, so um like, well
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: how long is it yet? You know? You know, Regina,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: I'm not even a father either, so why not? Hey,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Regina Jr. Is your man in his mind? Okay, let me.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: I saw her at and I'm talking. I was praying
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: about myself. Nobody talked to me a nut. I said
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: that she is. She is. Well, you know, we might
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: have to make it happen, but I like that, so
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: you know. But but you know what, I loved watching
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: you know, Jada as Lisa. I love that kid, all
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: of them. I think there's a little piece of me
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: and all. You know, that's all. And for the ladies,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: you know, we do have Lorens and we got Kofi
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: and yes, yes, girl, what was it like? Are you
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: guys friends on and off. You know, the movie said,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: what was it like to to get all of you
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: ladies together and and put this movie together and work
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: with these talented women? Well, you know, I had always
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: been a big fan of Jada's and Latifa's, you know,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: just from watching them, and I did not know of before.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I mean, the world's gonna know her now. She is
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: extraordinary in this movie. And you know, I think it's
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: gonna be the vehicle where people are going to be like, wow,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Tiffany Hattish is, Yeah, you know what she's been doing it.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: But I think finally the platform for her to you know,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: for people to be like, ah, there she is. And
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: so all of them before, you know, I didn't know
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I had met them, but I had never worked with them.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: But now I love them now I'm friends with them
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: after the movie still and that that yeah, that's really
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: great because I just respect them. Girl's trip to well, Regina,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: just know that we on this show, anything that you do,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: we are there to support you because that's how much
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: we love you. You're a very talented, beautiful young lady,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: and we just can't get enough of you. We love
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: your movies, we love everything you do, and and that's
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: just the truth. We stalk you as well. Girl, I
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: have an adult film that I want to come on.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: You says you love me so much? Right, no, thank
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: you all all the time for everything. You're amazing and
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: I love your show. I love I love your voices,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: which is so important. I love how you make me
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: laugh and smile like waking up to that. So just
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: know from my heart genuinely, I love you, guys, and
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you're my favorite. Thank you so much, thank you. We
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: appreciate that so much. She's the absolute best. You're listening
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, let's jump to it. Everybody,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: buckle up and hold on tight. Here it comes. It's
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: that time reality update. Yes, I'm caught up, alright, so good.

- 1:19:12Speaker 1: She's beeping with the producers. She's been very difficult. Did
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: you see when she was outside the venue of the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: actual reunion show but didn't want to take to take
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: the stage and sit by certain cass Smith girls. I'm
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: like girl, well, you need to talk crazy because she's
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: out there real bad crazy. This is not kind of
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: crazy is always good though, it really is. This is not. Yeah,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: she's a little more to the drop by. You don't
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: want to. Yeah, you're not gonna like this. Yeah, but anyway,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: moving on, Carly and Tommy, they're trying to get each
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: other back. Act your girl Tommy revenge by using young Jock.

- 1:20:05Speaker 1: That was silly schirlie or girl lovely me Me. Tried
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: to get into it with Jessica Dimes. Sit down, have
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: several seats. Jessica Dimes says, you know, like a major
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: red sit down or the record. Tommy is my girl
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: for the record. I love her crazy, I love her crazy.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Fight somebody look like, what are you a high stepper? Yes, buddy,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I love Dime, I love Jessica. Alright, your boy Kirk
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: has still still come on, tragging his feet taking the
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: DNA test to get the paternity results to see if
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: he is the father you know of the secret baby,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: this love child. Well, he feels like this girl Jasmine,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: his alleged baby mama uh and her boyfriend and her
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: crew are scheming up to try to get paid. And
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: so that's why Kirk, I guess that's why he hasn't
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: taking this DNA test. That's kind of like what he said.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: And did you see Shirley when our girl Rasheeda Rasheeda
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: was brought to tears when talking about her husband Kirk's infidelity,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: it was, oh lord, I cried right with or take
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: a listen. When you're a marriage and the commitment and
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I grew up with this man and he's hurt me
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: and it's crazy because he's also helped me grow to
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: become the woman I am today. But when you hurt
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: somebody and you dismantle a bond, that's the hardest thing
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to get over. Heartbreak is like the worst thing to
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: get over. And I don't want to cry no more.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I promise you all I said, I didn't want to
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: cry about this no more because at the end of
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the day, this is a lesson. But more than anything,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: this is a lesson for you, for you to understand
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: what you've done. You know, we have children, and that's
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: the main thing that bothers me is we have children
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: who look at you like a superhero. You are a
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: father and for you to do this. You didn't think
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: about all consequences of this, and not only did you
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: hurt me, but you broke me. Yeah, she was talking man,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: another dry eye in the house. Yeah, the entire cast
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: cried when Rada broke down like that because together together. Yeah,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: they're still married, but they're still married, Jay, and you
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: know his infidelity and possibly having a child outside of
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: their marriage. That that you know, you just heard from
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: his wife for that, that broke her. And it was
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: really sad because all the couples on that show and
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: all the cast members, they're rooting for them and they
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: want them to work it out and and build their
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: family back together. So we'll see. Part two is coming
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: up next Monday. Now, Jay, we're gonna move on. Talk
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: about the script, the show, power something Okay, okay, Well
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: let me ask you this ghost. He's looking a little weak.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: It seems like prison life is getting to him. But
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: what do you think you think things are looking up
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: for ghosts? You know what, you're looking weak because I've
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: been I watched four episodes. I'm caught up. He has
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: not had a meal in any episode. Note I had
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: that one man when the dude ticket corn because you know,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: they found it to take for the traffic stop. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: he told Angelus. So the DNA got thrown out. So
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: that's a good look for I need to be directing
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: that show because I changed some things in that show.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: I want to see the white guy with with the
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: is it the white guy with the sister? What's her name?
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Ever seen? They got to hit it every scene. I
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: don't get what they talk about. They got to get
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: it on. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. They make a kid
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: the first sister either her first, her first white guy.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: As he said, do you play? Have you played for you?
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I was? I was kind of mad too. Angela had
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: the nerve to question Keisha a lot knocked us knocked
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: up behind out and did you also see Angela and Ghosts?
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: They had that face to face meeting. Yeah, I know.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Fifty cents low down a wood man, Yeah, stand, I know.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: He's just yeah, can we can't stand here? And in
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: his father's absence, I am so sick of Tyrek. I
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: want to put a bell cross tree behind something. Oh man,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: oh I choked my TV and need three Yeah yeah,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: your mama like that. Yeah, but you know that your
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: dad in jail boy, you know there's a camera in
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: the office at the club. Yeah, planted that exactly, So
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: we're gonna find that's gonna come up in the minute. Yeah,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: so we'll see you. So we've been watching Power and
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: you guys, I know you've been watching to tweet me,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: tell you, tell me what you think is gonna happen
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: next hit me up at lips Bar Carla. Moving on
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: from Power, I'm done now, Yes, you got to say
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: with Ja listen to this, another scripted show is coming
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: back baby. Why yes, you have to Jay seeing when
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: the dragon starts mine. No, no, no, you better get
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: on that dragon with this girl, Mr Jake. Yes, we
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: love Game Throne so quickly before we run out of time.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Season seven this Sunday night. And according to actor Kicked Harrington,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: who who plays John Snow, he said, this season is
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: for the fans. You will finally get to meet the
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: people you've been waiting to meet Game of Thrones this
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Sunday night on HBO. And did you see finally reality
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: star dance mom Abby Lee Miller. She had to turn
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: herself in to begin her three hundred and sixties six
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: day prison sentence. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning show.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: All right, here we go. I want to ask you
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: guys something, uh, because you know, these are some cool
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: questions that I found on Reddit dot com. You know,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: how we go, Look, okay, what job do you have
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: zero experience in, but are confident you could do it successfully?
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Just right? Experience my first radio job I got. I
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: got the radio job I do that. You're just talking
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: doing it talking, But that's what people think though. People
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: think that, and it's a short amount of time. You
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: got to get in and get out. You know, everybody
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: can't do it, but you can do it successful. What
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: about you? Now? Yards becauting yards didn't have no experience
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: but up and down the street with that lawn mow
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: in that gas game. Yeah, man's the money too many
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: shade tree mechanic. I ain't got no experience in that,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: but I swear they never fix a car. They don't
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: never get your car ready. And they all got the
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: it's that corperator sound like the coperator. Yeah, the one
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: to get me. You just want to give me time.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: We got a man on it right now. And you
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: go to and there's a man sitting on your cop
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: eating the sandwich. I could do that job. Confident experience.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: All right, here's another one. What's the biggest I can't
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: ask you this, Jay, but I'm gonna take a chance.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: What is the biggest relationship advice you could ever give? Don't?
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Don't do it. You're not against relationships, You're just against Okay.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: The biggest relationship advice is I think spending time and
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: having fun doing things together, doing things, church, movies, dinner,
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: doing things together, and then don't. But you know, if
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: you do that long enough, the woman is going to
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: want to get married. You do know that, don't you.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: You spend a lot of time with each other, the
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: feelings developed. Come on, Jay, or is it Reverend? He's
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: done here? He just left? If I see you have
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: some sort of relationship phobia, you know that intimacy about
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: the guy? All right, Tommy, that's relationship. Excuse excuse you cheat.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: I promise you it makes the relationship better. And can man,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: why father getting married? If you're just gonna cheat? What
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: sense does that make? It has nothing to do with
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: you not loving the other person. Sure that you want
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: to be with them the rest of your life? An't
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: that cool? But I'm the ridiculous one, Yes you are.
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: See the logical thinking is the people that get divorced
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: stop thinking. The crazy part is so there are people
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: that agree with that crazy part. Yeah that one. Come on, Junior,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: just gonna sound crazy, but I'm telling you be getting
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: badient of the time. Don't be outstanding all the time.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Oh don't, don't. Don't put that much fresh on yourself.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: Put fresh on your stay right now when you get
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: to that bed, Junior, when you get married, y'all ain't
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: really in it being a lot to trust. We'll be
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: back after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, right,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: did you guys know this? You know we just had
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: a presidential election. Another one's coming up. Um. Paperwork has
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: been filed on behalf of Dwayne the Rock Johnson. He
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: got a possible and a possible run for the White House.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: What what? Yeah? Yeah, campaign committee is filed paperwork with
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: the Federal Election Commission on behalf of the Rock and
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: Smack that Candy campaign slogan slow, what say that all
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: the time? Wrestling? When you're wrestling? Almost smack that Candy?
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: I thought it was can you smell what the rockets
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: the cooking? And then he raised that I like that.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: It's called run the Rock campaign. So far, though The
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Rock hasn't responded to the filing. Can you imagine those
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: saying President the Rock, President Trump, Yeah, didn't get any worse. Yeah,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: gotta be a step up. Gotta be a step up
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: for president. Now, get up a president. Take the way
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: we're going on? Yeah? Where is this country going? Come on?
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Bring us back President the Rock, Dwayne Johnson. It could happen. Yeah,
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: it could happen. So maybe maybe you'll get more votes.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: And he did for the last movie. Because I didn't
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: think that was a good Yeah, it was not good.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: I didn't think it was a good fit for him.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: What was that making these movies? Do they know they're
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: gonna be bad? No, they don't. They have no idea
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: to this all put together, and they don't care. They're
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: making so much money. Yeah, yeah, this was a movie.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: Nobody should have got out of the water and you
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: see everything. You don't get a movie past me? Okay
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: if you love him, yeah yeah, I should just say
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: that it's bad. But I have to see him running
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: for president. Yeah, I mean you could have president phase on.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: I could see it. I beat you anyone, President, Kanye.
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: Anyone can throw the head into the ring. Anyone can
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: remember back in the day when Reverend Jesse Jackson ran,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: let everyone please stand for president. Shocking game. Really, you
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: know a lot of people have asked, no, I don't.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: I'm not going to run. He says that because the
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: background check. Steve says he won't get past. And they
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: go through every yang, everything in your life that you've
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: ever done. Well, I'm not tax is a parent? No parent.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: Well yeah he got away with Donald Trump. Trump, he
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: got away with it. But but they do become president.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: Anybody can make it. Absolutely, that's the message. Test Frank
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: un from a House of cor John from from a
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: Game of three. Yeah, President, he has my vote. President,
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: President Freeman, Sir, I like it. I like it. He
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: played god, he played the president. Okay, stop hating. Okay,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: we're gonna be back to wrap up the show with
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: just one more thing. You're listening to the String show,
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: all right, here we are with the last break of
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: the day. Love. Another morning that went by we quickly. Yeah,
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: so's it's time for just one more thing. Um wow,
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: we got a letter from a guy. Well I'll just
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: read it. Remember the other morning, Uh, the entire crew,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: all of us were on the Steve Harvey Talk Show
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: for the first time in five years. He had us
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: all on the show uh together, just for the first time,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: and one of our faithful fans of the show watched
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: the episode and and wrote us this letter, very very
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: touching letter. I'll read some of it. It says, hello,
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: my morning show family. Today I drove home from work
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: and was determined to end my life. Wow. I felt
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: so alone, unattractive, unloved, and unwanted. I just didn't want
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: to be here anymore. I've been through so much and
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: I'm tired of fighting. All of a sudden, I heard
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: Shirley's laugh and saw her excitement on the talk show today.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: I watched the show and enjoyed all of your smiling
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: faces and all of the joy. I just want to
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: say thank you for brightening my day and the majority
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: of my mornings today. Your smiles made me smile and
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: brought me back. I just want to say thank you
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: for the laughs today. They saved a life. Take care
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: and God bless you all. I mean really serious letter here,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: you know, yeah, but this is something right. I mean,
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: you know, you never know who you might, you never know,
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: you never know. We just get up in the morning
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: and do our jobs every day and we thank god
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: watching another show. Yeah, thank god, you know, like Conan
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: or something like that. You know, perspective, what's important. You know,
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: it's so bad day. Oh my god, I cannot stand you.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: I really can't. I mean, she's the guy's good. He's here,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: he's here. I'm glad he listens to when I watched Cony.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: That's what you that's your takeaway from this letter I
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: just read from our listener. Nothing, Tommy, get your boy,
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: Get your boy, Tommy, get your boy. Let him run,
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: let it run. He's springing. Good thing. Alright, show anybody here?
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: Watch Conan? No, you mean the news show before he
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: left NBC. Now woman, since he's left NBC. I watch
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: the late night saying what are you saying? I'm saying, hello,
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: people have to speak, So what do you say? No,
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: that's pretty straightforward. There, pretty clear. Yeah, that is. That's something.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: Laughter's healing. It really is. And as a comedian, is
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: this the first time you've ever heard something? I mean,
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: did you do the show? You never know how many
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: people type of people you're touching. You we're just having fun.
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Absolutely thankful to god that um, you know you decided
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: against what you were thinking, what you woke up thinking about.
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: You know. But as a comedian, though, you you do
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: bring laughter. Yeah. My grandmother used to say we were like,
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: um like ministered because we ministered to people. Is that
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: what we do is minished. I'll tell you what happened
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: one time, though I was in doubts, I had a
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: show in Dallas while back just long times, about twelve
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: years ago, and I was thinking about not going to
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: do the show. It wasn't no money, but it was like,
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: you know, like a hundred fifty bucks drive from Houston
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: all way to Dallas. I drove all the way to Dallas.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: I did the show and as I'm coming out the
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: back door, there's a guy who meets me in the
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: back of you know, the improv up there in Dallas,
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: and I'm thinking, I was like, Okay, this can't happen,
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: said I talk the guy about to rob me in there.
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: So I walked into my car and he was like, hey, man,
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: can I speak with you for a minute. Said yeah.
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: He said, man, I just want to thank you for
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: the night, because I really was gonna end my life.
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: I went home and called my wife the man and
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: he was like you know, He's like, you know, um,
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: I just want to come and get a laughing man
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: before I left, and I'm just gonna go and get
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: out of here. And I was. His car happened to
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: just be parked right next to my car. And the
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: crazy part about it was the gun was sitting on
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: the armrest right. He said. But thanks to man, I
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: feel like I can go on and that lets me
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: know that no matter where the gig is, I go,
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: I gotta go do it. You never wos in there,
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: That's right. That's why you can't say no, that wasn't
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: forming that night. He did not say that. He did
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: not just say that. What you try to say, jay
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: So what are you saying? The Lord knows what he's
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: doing it saying after that story you had to say
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: that good. That was a moment, Jayous. It was a
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: life lesson for Junior. He makes every gig because of
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: that moment. You never know whose life you may save.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: The dude behind no man. We talked about it went
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: had break, We talked about man, you can only get
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: another white. None of that would have happen that night.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: What none of that would have happened had Conan been
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: performing he would have went, I'm doing this je ten
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: minutes and he walked out. Yes, well, Junior, I'm glad
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: you know that he learned a lesson out of that.
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: What we do, what we do. Maybe don't listen to
