- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all all looking back to back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like a million buck things and it's not true.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Good Steve har to Steve Joy, you gotta use that
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn be h. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn out to turn turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your bah huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show. God been good to me? Man, ain't God
- 2:13Speaker 1: been good to you? I mean, just think about it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Think of where you are now compared to where you
- 2:18Speaker 1: used to be. Now, if you've fallen from where you
- 2:22Speaker 1: used to be, all you gotta do is check yourself
- 2:24Speaker 1: and you will discover that it's a series of decisions
- 2:27Speaker 1: that we make that causes ourselves to be in the predicaments,
- 2:30Speaker 1: shapes and conditions that we are in. It is never
- 2:34Speaker 1: God's fault. It is a series of decisions that we
- 2:38Speaker 1: have made. Please understand, God is only in the uplift business.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Sometimes he got to check us because we need checking.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And He has commandments, rules and morality clauses all throughout
- 2:51Speaker 1: that teach us how we should be and if we're not,
- 2:54Speaker 1: there's repercussions behind it. But please understand, you are where
- 2:58Speaker 1: you are because of some decisions that you made. God
- 3:01Speaker 1: is in the uplift. God is in the blessing business.
- 3:05Speaker 1: God is in to take care of you business. He's
- 3:07Speaker 1: in to protect you business. Please know that Steve Harvey
- 3:12Speaker 1: got a radio show because God is simply amazing. It
- 3:16Speaker 1: ain't bragging. It's just the way I do it. Now
- 3:18Speaker 1: you may do it another way, find your way to
- 3:21Speaker 1: talk about the goodness of God. This is just my way.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I can't nor most stop being who I am, then
- 3:26Speaker 1: you can stop being who you are. We all trying
- 3:29Speaker 1: to be better, but through God's grace and mercy we
- 3:33Speaker 1: exist anyway, and try as we may to be perfect.
- 3:37Speaker 1: We're not going to accomplish that. But you can get
- 3:41Speaker 1: as good as you can get, but you can constantly
- 3:43Speaker 1: strive to do better, but you're gonna need God's help.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, simple as that. But
- 3:53Speaker 1: the only way I got a radio show it's because
- 3:56Speaker 1: God bless me. Period. I am not all that I'm
- 4:01Speaker 1: fully capable of saying to anybody listening that was not
- 4:05Speaker 1: my own doing. If I told you that I thought
- 4:07Speaker 1: my way completely to where I am, I would be
- 4:10Speaker 1: lying to you. If I told you where all I
- 4:13Speaker 1: thought I would end up, it certainly wouldn't be here.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Steve Harbor got a radio show. God is amazing. Okay, cool,
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't worr. Everybody will find another way. We're gonna have
- 4:24Speaker 1: a good in this morning, y'all. I said, we're gonna
- 4:26Speaker 1: have a good one this morning, y'all, because the way
- 4:28Speaker 1: we do it right here on this show, right here,
- 4:31Speaker 1: spread across the country. We do it this way because
- 4:34Speaker 1: there's no other way to get it done. Because we
- 4:37Speaker 1: all understand that there's absolutely no better way to start
- 4:40Speaker 1: your date. Then the first of all, stop give thanks
- 4:43Speaker 1: in honor to Almighty God, because God is deserving of
- 4:46Speaker 1: your honor. God is deserving of your praise. If it
- 4:49Speaker 1: wasn't for God, where would you be. You know, I
- 4:53Speaker 1: was watching Joel Oldstein on TV yesterday. Oftentimes tell you this,
- 4:57Speaker 1: and uh, you know it is amazing. I never go
- 4:59Speaker 1: to the TV guide or the channel surfer and say
- 5:02Speaker 1: let me go find Joe lost in to day. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: just happened to turn it on and as I click
- 5:08Speaker 1: that he is. I can only think that that's God
- 5:12Speaker 1: making me sit down and hear some of the things
- 5:14Speaker 1: I need to hear. One of the things he was
- 5:16Speaker 1: talking about yesterday was aiming for something worthy and how
- 5:22Speaker 1: to accept the challenges that come with it. Now, this
- 5:25Speaker 1: isn't worded exactly the way he said, because I caught
- 5:27Speaker 1: it on the tail end, but I kind of got
- 5:30Speaker 1: the message that I needed to hear, and I just
- 5:32Speaker 1: wanted to share it with y'all this morning, that when
- 5:35Speaker 1: you have big aspirations, you're going to have big challenges.
- 5:40Speaker 1: If you ever noticed, man, how sometimes people always seem
- 5:43Speaker 1: to have little bitty problems, Well that's because they have
- 5:47Speaker 1: little bitty aspirations. They're shooting for little bitty things. See
- 5:52Speaker 1: the moment you decide to shoot for something big, won't
- 5:56Speaker 1: something more, You're going to get major, major challenges, major
- 6:04Speaker 1: tribulations are gonna come your way. Because to whom much
- 6:07Speaker 1: is given, much is required. To those of you that
- 6:10Speaker 1: are aiming high, please know that you're going to run
- 6:14Speaker 1: into some more challenging times. That's the way it goes.
- 6:18Speaker 1: If you're not being challenged in your life, it is
- 6:22Speaker 1: only because you are not aspiring to be anything. Your
- 6:26Speaker 1: aspirations are too low. You've got to go. You've got
- 6:30Speaker 1: to you know, Joelo's Teams says something that I never
- 6:32Speaker 1: knew before. You've got to want something so big that
- 6:37Speaker 1: you don't see no way it can get done. You
- 6:40Speaker 1: have to have God's help. Is that amazing? Man? See
- 6:44Speaker 1: if he said, if you can accomplish all the things
- 6:48Speaker 1: you set out to do without God's help, you are
- 6:51Speaker 1: setting out to accomplish some mighty, meager things. You know.
- 6:54Speaker 1: If all you're trying to do is make your rent,
- 6:57Speaker 1: you don't need God's help for that, Just make your rent.
- 7:00Speaker 1: But if you're trying to buy a house, to really
- 7:03Speaker 1: put your family in a better neighborhood, in a better
- 7:05Speaker 1: school system, and you don't see no way you need
- 7:08Speaker 1: God's help. You have to aspire to something that requires
- 7:13Speaker 1: God's help. See, that's when you really are being what
- 7:19Speaker 1: God wants you to be. That's when you're striving for
- 7:22Speaker 1: something that God has in mind for you. God, I
- 7:24Speaker 1: don't want little things for you anybody can have at once.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You're just going over that sit and have yourself nice, little, regular,
- 7:31Speaker 1: little life. Quit bothering people with it. Man, if you
- 7:35Speaker 1: could just give me five dollars on some gas. Man here, Yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 1: people like they always got some little bit of stuff
- 7:41Speaker 1: for you. Man. And and you so caught up in
- 7:45Speaker 1: what you're doing because it's so big. When people come
- 7:48Speaker 1: to you, you go that's it. Man, here, just go
- 7:50Speaker 1: ahead on and people, man, thank you. Man cool. That's
- 7:54Speaker 1: because they're aspiring for small things. You ain't even got
- 7:58Speaker 1: to go to God for all small stuff. If you
- 8:01Speaker 1: can accomplish everything you want in your life with just
- 8:05Speaker 1: your help and you don't need God, you ain't aiming
- 8:08Speaker 1: high enough. And when your aim high. Stop making excuses, man, excuses.
- 8:18Speaker 1: There ain't nearly enough crutches in the world for all
- 8:22Speaker 1: the lame excuses you'dn't heard. It is amazing, man, it
- 8:27Speaker 1: is amazing how people lived excuses. Stop making excuses. Aspire
- 8:32Speaker 1: to greatness. Aspire to something that requires God's help. Then
- 8:38Speaker 1: you'll be fulfilling your mission. Some of us are sick
- 8:41Speaker 1: and tired of our lives the way they are because
- 8:43Speaker 1: they ain't going nowhere because we ain't want nothing no more.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Get something in your head that requires God's help and
- 8:51Speaker 1: live your life to the fullest and prepare yourself. It's
- 8:55Speaker 1: going to be difficult, but with God's help, it's doable.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Get you some help today, Holly, God about it. Don't quit,
- 9:05Speaker 1: quit giving up, don't ever give up. God can accomplish
- 9:09Speaker 1: some amazing things in your life. He loved to hear
- 9:13Speaker 1: from you today. This goes out to all my brothers
- 9:15Speaker 1: and sisters. Is locked away to the two women that
- 9:18Speaker 1: I met down in um down in Columbia, South Carolina,
- 9:22Speaker 1: to Deborah and her friend that was on a work
- 9:25Speaker 1: released program from a women's correctional facility. I'm praying for y'all.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm pulling for all y'all, to all the women that
- 9:31Speaker 1: listen every morning in that correctional facility down in Columbia,
- 9:35Speaker 1: South Carolina. I told you I wouldn't forget you this morning.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I love you. Keep holding on the God's unchanging hands.
- 9:42Speaker 1: All my brothers and sisters that's locked away, keep your
- 9:45Speaker 1: head up. God loves you. Man. God is a forgiving God.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Call on him. He'll hear your prayer. I've been now,
- 9:52Speaker 1: He'll hear your prayer. Come on now, you're ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:01Speaker 1: I have your attention. Please. After long fault, hard battle
- 10:09Speaker 1: fault weekend, we are healed live Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 10:18Speaker 1: voices a little impad. It's entirely too much talking. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: I come to work after that, unlike some of my
- 10:26Speaker 1: other come padres. Who's here? You heard the two that
- 10:33Speaker 1: saying something? Didn't you can't? I don't know who can? Well,
- 10:37Speaker 1: well we only hear two voices. That's yours in his
- 10:41Speaker 1: saying it because you can't be talking about me. That's
- 10:42Speaker 1: why I'm saying, and that's why I'm saying that you've
- 10:44Speaker 1: been not to be talking about me. If you throw
- 10:46Speaker 1: a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that
- 10:50Speaker 1: holler is the one you hit. Charley Strawberry, what's going on?
- 10:54Speaker 1: He caller for real? Good morning, Happy Monday. What's up, Steve?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Here we go, Yeah we go. Let's get into the
- 11:10Speaker 1: rock throwing partition of the show. J Anthony Brown. I've
- 11:14Speaker 1: been at an undisclosed place doing undisclosed things. But I'm here.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I'm here if you time, if you threw a rock,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and I'm ye, Holly, that's because all the other ones
- 11:29Speaker 1: ran out. You gotta think about that, Okay, Ain't no
- 11:32Speaker 1: ain't no dogs hanging around for that talking about She's
- 11:40Speaker 1: the one that brought it to our ascension. Yeah. Yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 1: but first of all, we would see the rock coming,
- 11:46Speaker 1: so we would analyze what timing when you see the
- 11:50Speaker 1: rock coming with you. If I'm a dog in the
- 11:53Speaker 1: rock is hurling through the air, I'm not gonna sit
- 11:57Speaker 1: then getta look, well what your hauling folded? I'm gonna say, damn,
- 12:08Speaker 1: that was close. I'm going to show. We already know
- 12:17Speaker 1: Tommy every time he said sold out, we're gonna add
- 12:22Speaker 1: a show. I go here, we go here, it's coming,
- 12:27Speaker 1: it's coming. This a show. He fit the overburdened us
- 12:33Speaker 1: with his schedule. Now we got to introduce this prank.

- 12:43Speaker 1: We got to sit up here covered on the top,
- 12:45Speaker 1: top top top of the morning. Y'all we are, y'all
- 12:48Speaker 1: all that mess. Junior's out today, Steve, Yeah, Junior's out.
- 12:56Speaker 1: We don't know why, y'all. His I think he was
- 13:00Speaker 1: getting his second shot. Oh whole show. It takes four hours.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I had that joke, but I feel I couldn't have
- 13:11Speaker 1: done it myself. No, no, you ain't allowed to do
- 13:15Speaker 1: ain't here jokes go on stand good one on this
- 13:26Speaker 1: shown All right, guys coming up in thirty two minutes
- 13:33Speaker 1: after should be our more weekend stuff and we'll do
- 13:37Speaker 1: ask the CLO with the Chief Love Officers Steve Harvey.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening morning show. All right here
- 13:46Speaker 1: we are. Anymore weekend stuff? We want to close that segment.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Any more weekend stuff going on? Anybody forgot to tell us?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Because it's time now for the assid CLO. Might as
- 13:57Speaker 1: well just get to it. He take some while to
- 14:00Speaker 1: get warmed up, yeah, because when you've been off work
- 14:02Speaker 1: for a while, you don't get jumped right in here. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 1: you talk yeah in the break room. Then he gonna
- 14:09Speaker 1: come here. Oh okay, all right, here we go. This
- 14:13Speaker 1: one's from Derwin Derwin in Kansas City. Uh. Derwin says,
- 14:18Speaker 1: my sister is four years younger than I am, so
- 14:20Speaker 1: I've always been over protective of her. She was engaged
- 14:23Speaker 1: to a guy that I knew wasn't right for her,
- 14:26Speaker 1: so I relieved. I was relieved when he called up
- 14:28Speaker 1: their weddings. It's been almost a year since they broke up,
- 14:31Speaker 1: and she still wants to know why he left her.
- 14:34Speaker 1: She wanted me to talk to him. I have no
- 14:37Speaker 1: desire to talk to him because if he says something
- 14:41Speaker 1: bad about my little sister. I'm going to have to
- 14:44Speaker 1: deal with him. What should I do? Why would you
- 14:47Speaker 1: talk to him? Because she asked him too, so he
- 14:50Speaker 1: won't talk to her. And what you got to do
- 14:52Speaker 1: with it? Right, Just stay out of it. Man, You
- 14:54Speaker 1: got your wish you didn't think to do was rightful? Yeah?
- 14:58Speaker 1: All make up? So because yeah, I talked with him,
- 15:00Speaker 1: he said he got a couple of page now he good,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and two babies is on the way. And then just
- 15:05Speaker 1: walk out the room next list name because she desperately
- 15:14Speaker 1: wants closure. Yeah, so it's closed. He gone, isn't done.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It's been a year, all right, Anthony on iHeart Radio Closa.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Several weeks ago, I met a teacher at my daughter's
- 15:26Speaker 1: in new school. We exchanged numbers and chatted awhile with
- 15:29Speaker 1: our masks on. I called her and asked her out,
- 15:32Speaker 1: and we met up a few days later. She came
- 15:35Speaker 1: into the restaurant and she sat beside me and took
- 15:38Speaker 1: off her mask exactly. Her breath was hot and it
- 15:46Speaker 1: smelt like sewage. Oh. I got up and sat across
- 15:51Speaker 1: from her, and I said, I wanted to look in
- 15:53Speaker 1: her eyes while we ate. I don't intend to ever
- 15:57Speaker 1: go out with her again. But she worked at my
- 15:59Speaker 1: daughter's cool. What do I tell her about? And I
- 16:04Speaker 1: got up, went over the table and look in your eyes.
- 16:07Speaker 1: It was just so I could save my own ass.
- 16:15Speaker 1: What do I do? What do you all all? When
- 16:21Speaker 1: you took off your mask, I thought our food had
- 16:23Speaker 1: a ride. I had ordered salmon and Brussels sprouts, and
- 16:30Speaker 1: when you took your mask off, I thought the food
- 16:33Speaker 1: was there. You need all you need More than that.
- 16:39Speaker 1: You need to add you can't wear your mask if
- 16:44Speaker 1: you got holitosis. You can't wear your mask because it
- 16:47Speaker 1: traps it in and it recycles it. It puts it
- 16:51Speaker 1: back into the system. You're breathing in the same as you.
- 16:55Speaker 1: It's it look every nine and then when even if
- 16:57Speaker 1: you got air condition, you got to crack your windows. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 1: in a car, you're recycling the air. You know that
- 17:03Speaker 1: little button on the dashboard in your car with the
- 17:06Speaker 1: little arrows that mean the ass going back around. That's
- 17:09Speaker 1: what's happening in that mask. Oh, she'd have got used to.
- 17:13Speaker 1: She's recycling the app And when she opened it up
- 17:16Speaker 1: in like freedom, wow school. Hope she got that mask
- 17:25Speaker 1: on all right? Next time to take out. Just be
- 17:33Speaker 1: standing there with a canter for breeze in your hand.
- 17:36Speaker 1: As soon as you take that mask and openho mom
- 17:39Speaker 1: can shoot her dead in it, all right, M've be
- 17:43Speaker 1: moving on. Amazing in Peoria. I like that name. Amazing
- 17:47Speaker 1: in Peoria, Illinois, says I'm forty nine and my mother
- 17:50Speaker 1: is seventy five, and she has a habit of popping
- 17:53Speaker 1: up at my house at the worst time, and she
- 17:55Speaker 1: brings people with her. She's forty nine and her mother
- 18:01Speaker 1: is seventy five. Okay, then her mom pops up at
- 18:04Speaker 1: the worst times and brings people with her when she comes.
- 18:07Speaker 1: My husband and I can be watching a movie and
- 18:09Speaker 1: she'll come by with her boyfriend or one of her
- 18:11Speaker 1: female friends for herself a drake and sit there and
- 18:14Speaker 1: talk to us like she's not interrupting a thing. My
- 18:18Speaker 1: husband doesn't have a problem with it. He thinks it's cute.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And he said, I need to let my mom live
- 18:24Speaker 1: her best life. Do I sad boundaries with her or not? No?
- 18:28Speaker 1: She said the fact, yeah, coming in and catch her.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. She rolling up on you
- 18:37Speaker 1: having drinks, you know, I mean, you know, like she
- 18:40Speaker 1: wanted your homies though Yeah. What a girl I was
- 18:43Speaker 1: just in the neighborhood. Is good. She's still driving, she's
- 18:46Speaker 1: seventy five, just popping up, and she got a boyfriend
- 18:49Speaker 1: and everything. Yeah, joy, Yeah, I see that's what I say.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Let her live. Yeah, all right, here we go. Jay,
- 18:58Speaker 1: You have a question. Know I got one. You know
- 19:01Speaker 1: I got one. Here is Steve. You have all week
- 19:04Speaker 1: to get it ready, so let me get it in.
- 19:10Speaker 1: You had the bowling alley with your wife bowling, having
- 19:14Speaker 1: a good time on each side. You see two of
- 19:17Speaker 1: your side pieces. One do you continue bowling the bowling alley?
- 19:24Speaker 1: I guess out that bowling at it. As a matter
- 19:26Speaker 1: of fact, I act like I'm about the bowl. And
- 19:31Speaker 1: when I pulled my arm back, I left my bowling
- 19:33Speaker 1: ball bust. My wife did in her head. Yeah, we
- 19:39Speaker 1: got to get out here and get to emergency care.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm throwing this ball and some damn by dropping it
- 19:46Speaker 1: on my foot, I'm doing something. This is no way
- 19:51Speaker 1: both of them now, I think. But Steve, Steve, you're
- 19:55Speaker 1: having a good game. You're having a really good game.
- 19:58Speaker 1: All strike, dog. Let me go to the game. I
- 20:02Speaker 1: could be on the verge of a three hundred, which
- 20:05Speaker 1: I've never had in my life. I've never been close.
- 20:11Speaker 1: When you get to three hundred and you jump up
- 20:15Speaker 1: celebrating and them two women come over there to help
- 20:17Speaker 1: celebrate with you. Podner, what's the highest game you've ever
- 20:24Speaker 1: bow Oh, I'm not, I'm not. I just go I've
- 20:31Speaker 1: hit a two hundred before. Yeah, I bowled two thirty
- 20:36Speaker 1: two one time. That's good. I've never been close. All right,
- 20:43Speaker 1: I've never seen two hundred after that. I don't know
- 20:46Speaker 1: what happened to me that day, but it never happened again.
- 20:52Speaker 1: All right. Coming up next, church complaints with rever Motown
- 20:54Speaker 1: and Deacon death Jam. Right after this, you're listening Steve
- 20:59Speaker 1: Harpy Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Miss Anna standing by with our national news and we'll
- 21:05Speaker 1: have today's entertainment news. But right now it is time
- 21:08Speaker 1: for some laughter and some fun. It's Monday, so you
- 21:11Speaker 1: know what that means. Here with church complaints, were already here.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Amen to that. We we gavel
- 21:23Speaker 1: on this glu glorious money, ready to b bachulate by bachelate, yes,
- 21:31Speaker 1: so by bachulate and re re reefflicate. What the things
- 21:38Speaker 1: that are going on in a congregation habit to weary
- 21:45Speaker 1: as we move forward. Habituary that's like, oh you know
- 21:53Speaker 1: where they stay by? You get a preach now gold DC,
- 22:02Speaker 1: which are speaking of preaching. The congregation is upset that
- 22:06Speaker 1: they are worried about this app You've been preaching for
- 22:10Speaker 1: ninety seconds on zoom and they are concerned that you
- 22:14Speaker 1: are just not studying. What is it that all your
- 22:17Speaker 1: sermons have turned into just ninety seconds? The pandemic, the
- 22:23Speaker 1: global pandemic requires my at tension on so many levels
- 22:30Speaker 1: that all we have time for ninety second world, If
- 22:36Speaker 1: you don't hear me in ninety seconds, why would I
- 22:39Speaker 1: stay in ninety minutes? And almost made sense, but it
- 22:48Speaker 1: don't make sense. How long you need to be told
- 22:50Speaker 1: you going to heal the world. That's what we hear
- 22:57Speaker 1: for all right, I'm moving down our speaking out. Yes,

- 23:10Speaker 1: group called the Covidnets and they would like to take
- 23:14Speaker 1: the fund their first sing off, the covid The reason
- 23:19Speaker 1: they chose the name Covidnet is because their paranoid they
- 23:23Speaker 1: always have on their mask and nobody's gonna support this
- 23:27Speaker 1: muffled ass. How does that sound fast? Whoo whoo, whoo whoo?
- 23:46Speaker 1: Who anybody? Anybody got no money for that? They're not
- 23:56Speaker 1: gonna take it. The covid NEETs ain't gonna take their mask,
- 23:58Speaker 1: or we can't fund that. Can I hear the covidnets again? Who?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Whoa who whoo whoo? You jam it though? Alright, passing,
- 24:27Speaker 1: let's keep it moving here. We got a problem. Sister
- 24:31Speaker 1: Laura Banks got a listen to him and now got
- 24:34Speaker 1: a Fisor shot, one Visor shot, got one Maderna shot,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and then I also got one Johnson shot. She got
- 24:43Speaker 1: three shots in total. And now for some reason she's
- 24:46Speaker 1: barking in the night and can't stop, and got all
- 24:49Speaker 1: the dogs up in their neighborhood. She wants you to
- 24:52Speaker 1: come and lay hands on it and pray for but
- 24:54Speaker 1: I don't know if you can help ut now I'm
- 24:56Speaker 1: not going to. I don't know what she got Who
- 25:04Speaker 1: told her to take all three vaccines. You're supposed to
- 25:08Speaker 1: take two doses per one. Johnson was the onder. She
- 25:11Speaker 1: didn't add Maduna and fis she'd have probably developed a
- 25:16Speaker 1: whole new strand of COVID shot. Now she over. She
- 25:24Speaker 1: ain't got COVID, she got the vaccination disease. We don't
- 25:32Speaker 1: even know what that is yet, sang it covid quit
- 25:51Speaker 1: okay you have could you have one of the covidnets,
- 25:56Speaker 1: introduced the group. I'd like to hear that there you

- 26:05Speaker 1: we are here to coming to We won't see you

- 26:36Speaker 1: after we just room at the front, make room for
- 26:39Speaker 1: every problem. Come on up down to the front. Be here,
- 26:45Speaker 1: turn your life over to we believe that you say
- 26:48Speaker 1: this simple prayer. You don't have one more? Got one more?
- 26:51Speaker 1: Got one at at a funeral doing the funeral, give
- 26:56Speaker 1: anyone in crying and you don't have blue? All right?
- 27:25Speaker 1: I have one? Um they now they're asking for you, pastor.
- 27:31Speaker 1: There is a versus. The Blind Boys of Alabama won
- 27:35Speaker 1: the versus five Blind Boys of Mississippi. They want to
- 27:39Speaker 1: do a versus and they want you to host it.
- 27:41Speaker 1: So that's your call. Well we can have it, but
- 27:45Speaker 1: we we we don't have to pick a location. All
- 27:48Speaker 1: we got to do is tell them they there, and
- 27:56Speaker 1: all we're gonna be doing is singing songs that relate
- 27:59Speaker 1: to the quartets. If I can see clearly the rain
- 28:07Speaker 1: m I can see all those obstacles in my way.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Here's the favorite hit. I heard it through the grape vine.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I'm about about to lose my mind. You know they
- 28:25Speaker 1: like heard it through the grape vine. I have one
- 28:27Speaker 1: more song than I'd be saying, Steve. I'm looking for
- 28:31Speaker 1: a love. Yeah, I love. And I'm looking over here,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I'm looking over down. I'm searching something. Wow, I'm looking everywhere.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I'm looking for a look. Oh baby, this is the
- 28:51Speaker 1: versus Blind Boys of Alabama versus the five Blind Boys
- 28:54Speaker 1: of Mississippi. That's what they see the verse. So silly
- 29:07Speaker 1: coming up, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:11Speaker 1: entertainment in national news right after this ignorance, you're listening
- 29:17Speaker 1: to show as we already know, on this path Friday,
- 29:24Speaker 1: Earl Simmons, we know him as DMX passed away. X
- 29:28Speaker 1: was fifty years old. On April second, he was admitted
- 29:32Speaker 1: to a hospital in White Plain To, New York after
- 29:34Speaker 1: suffering a drug induced heart attack at his home in
- 29:38Speaker 1: White Plains. On Friday, April ninth, DMX passed away after
- 29:42Speaker 1: being on life support and his family was by his side.
- 29:46Speaker 1: His family released a statement saying Earl was a warrior
- 29:50Speaker 1: who fought until the very end. He loved his family
- 29:53Speaker 1: with all of his heart, and we cherished the times
- 29:56Speaker 1: we spent with him. Earl's music inspired countless fans around
- 30:01Speaker 1: the world, and his iconic legacy will live on forever.
- 30:07Speaker 1: DMX's hometown, Yonkers, New York, is committed to making sure
- 30:11Speaker 1: that X's memory lives on. Mayor Spaniel said the city
- 30:16Speaker 1: is considering naming a street after him and also creating
- 30:19Speaker 1: a statue of his image. The family has also confirmed
- 30:23Speaker 1: there will be a private and public memorial and of course,
- 30:26Speaker 1: our deepest condolences are going out to the Simmons family.
- 30:31Speaker 1: He was mad, dude. Yeah, I think that Swiss beats uh.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Instagram posts and talking about DMX was the best because
- 30:44Speaker 1: it was so touching. Yeah, they were really really close. Yes, Yeah,
- 30:49Speaker 1: they were like brothers. Man. Swiss. Swiss did a lot
- 30:52Speaker 1: of music with DMX and I talked with him about
- 30:56Speaker 1: it before the verses, and you know, he was just
- 30:59Speaker 1: hard broken and um, yeah he was hoping. We you know,
- 31:04Speaker 1: everybody was hoping for the best, but it wasn't meant
- 31:07Speaker 1: to be. And you know he was he was just greatness. Man.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And the tributes that's going on about this young brother
- 31:15Speaker 1: man all around the nation. Man, it's like really heartwarning man. Yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 1: the dude, his music crossed over so well. Man. A
- 31:24Speaker 1: lot of rappers, a lot of rappers never get that
- 31:26Speaker 1: opportunity to do man and d M Yeah, you know
- 31:30Speaker 1: he did that, man, he did that. Dmxo's a movement.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I mean in the nineties when he hit the he
- 31:35Speaker 1: was nobody was like him. He was aggressive, he was streaked,
- 31:39Speaker 1: he was grimy. And so how he approached his storytelling
- 31:42Speaker 1: what he was doing and rapping, we had never heard
- 31:45Speaker 1: that before. And people just loved him to motorcycles, you know,
- 31:48Speaker 1: rough riders and all that. So I saw a concert
- 31:52Speaker 1: caller a feat of white people. Yeah, that's the one
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'm telling about, man, yeayeah feeling and not just around
- 32:01Speaker 1: the world, yeah, around the world. Yeah, And he wrote
- 32:05Speaker 1: all of his songs. He wrote all of his songs.
- 32:09Speaker 1: He wrote the very talented so sad. Yeah, definitely gonna
- 32:16Speaker 1: be family. Lose my mind up in here. Up in here,
- 32:23Speaker 1: I mean, who ain't sell off? Right? See, who ain't
- 32:28Speaker 1: saying yah? And he put it to music, and it's like, damn,
- 32:32Speaker 1: everybody has been saying that, right, you're right a dog.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I don't know nobody household where you ain't heard that's right? Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 1: y'all gonna make me lose my mind up in here.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I keep on up in here. And it wasn't a
- 32:47Speaker 1: party record either when we said it, y'all gonna make
- 32:51Speaker 1: me lose my mind up in hill. You can put
- 32:54Speaker 1: it to music if you want to. But when mamma said,
- 32:59Speaker 1: when mama said you to get someone set down, that's yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 1: for sure, for sure, for sure. Yeah, yeah, he will
- 33:08Speaker 1: definitely been meant. He will definitely missed. I mean seriously.
- 33:13Speaker 1: All right, Um, we're gonna move on time now, Steve
- 33:17Speaker 1: for today's headlines, ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp, thank you,
- 33:21Speaker 1: thank you, everybody. Good morning. The governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam,
- 33:24Speaker 1: says he's directing state police to investigate the encounter that
- 33:27Speaker 1: has caused NAFROL Latino Army medical officer to sue two
- 33:31Speaker 1: white police officers in the town of Windsor. Army Second
- 33:34Speaker 1: Lieutenant Corona Sario can be seen on video in uniform
- 33:38Speaker 1: last December asking cops why he was pulled over, hanging
- 33:41Speaker 1: both his hands out of the window and saying, yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 1: in the committed a crime and he was frankly afraid
- 33:45Speaker 1: to exit the car because they both had their guns drawn.
- 33:47Speaker 1: While your weapons drawn, what's going on? See? The cops
- 33:53Speaker 1: claimed that Lazario, Lieutenant Lazario was driving a new car
- 33:56Speaker 1: with no license plate and one of them pepper sprayed him,
- 33:59Speaker 1: but the officer's body camp shows that his temporary dealer
- 34:01Speaker 1: plate was clearly in the rear mirror. Okay, anyway, the
- 34:05Speaker 1: Kappa who peppers Fredi has already been fired. Today marks
- 34:08Speaker 1: the start of a third week of the Derek Chauvin
- 34:10Speaker 1: George Floyd murder trial. On Friday, and medical examiner who
- 34:13Speaker 1: pronounced mister Floyd's death a homicide, took the stand, but
- 34:16Speaker 1: also another forensic pathologist, Lindsey Thomas, who said she agreed
- 34:20Speaker 1: with all the other diagnoses that mister Floyd died of
- 34:22Speaker 1: suffocation as a result of actions by the police and
- 34:25Speaker 1: not heart failure. This death does not fit what has
- 34:30Speaker 1: been described in someone who dies of a cardiac a
- 34:33Speaker 1: rhythmia from arterial sclerotic heart disease and likewise hypertensive heart disease.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Towards the defense gets to present its case, and Derek
- 34:41Speaker 1: Chauvin's lawyers have already signaled they intend to focus on
- 34:44Speaker 1: George Floyd's drug use, his heart condition, anything else they
- 34:47Speaker 1: can drum up to put doubt in the minds of
- 34:49Speaker 1: the jurors. Former Republican House Speaker John Bayner says in
- 34:52Speaker 1: his upcoming new book on the House, a Washington memoir
- 34:55Speaker 1: that's the name of the book, that Donald Trump incided
- 34:57Speaker 1: the Capitol Hill ride on January for his own selfish
- 35:01Speaker 1: reasons perpetuated shall we say the sugar honey iced tea,
- 35:05Speaker 1: And he didn't use that. He said the word that
- 35:07Speaker 1: he's been shoveling since he lost a fair election. Bayner
- 35:10Speaker 1: says Trump's election claims were false and that those claims
- 35:13Speaker 1: led to the GOP losing control of the Congress. Meanwhile,
- 35:16Speaker 1: and nevertheless, Donald Trump demonstrated his continued hold on the GOP.
- 35:20Speaker 1: He held a big confab at Marlaigo over the weekend
- 35:23Speaker 1: and called the Center Republican leader Mitch McConnell a dumb
- 35:26Speaker 1: soob and he didn't use the letters okay. He said
- 35:30Speaker 1: he was disappointed with former Vice President Pennce for not
- 35:32Speaker 1: supporting stopping the electoral college vote. Trump also claimed that
- 35:36Speaker 1: the GOP will win back the White House in twenty
- 35:38Speaker 1: twenty four. Finally, funeral services are being held from Britain's
- 35:41Speaker 1: Prince Philip this Saturday. Prince Harry's already over there. Megan
- 35:45Speaker 1: his pregnant. Her doctor told her not to go while
- 35:47Speaker 1: here at home. The family of a musical kind of
- 35:49Speaker 1: Prince DMX plan for both a private and public memorial.
- 35:52Speaker 1: The mayor of Yonkers says he'd like to see something
- 35:54Speaker 1: on the Yonkers Raceway, and the head of the Neperhand
- 35:57Speaker 1: Community Center in Yonkers, doctor Jim Bostick, says, d X
- 36:00Speaker 1: never forgot the youngsters in the community. You can continue

- 36:39Speaker 1: Here we go. Big girls have the nicest nails. Big
- 36:44Speaker 1: girls always have the nicest nails. Smoke dots. Africans not

- 38:24Speaker 1: night when he kid asleep. Did you understand what I
- 38:26Speaker 1: was saying? But you can give the kids something, but

- 38:33Speaker 1: Take your time with Damon, all right, take your time
- 38:35Speaker 1: with Dame. Your eyelashes should not scratch your glasses. Okay,
- 38:41Speaker 1: that's just a smoke whatever. Some last one. Some people
- 38:54Speaker 1: can hold their liquor, but they can't hold their pee.
- 38:58Speaker 1: And some people can't hold it, but they can't hold
- 39:02Speaker 1: that liquor. Okay, that's all right. Here's the last one.

- 45:47Speaker 1: don't want to call you. She wanted me to call you.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you that. You know, she didn't
- 45:52Speaker 1: decide that she wanted to start hanging with me. She
- 45:54Speaker 1: wanted me to come over to the house and pick
- 45:56Speaker 1: up stuff up. Oh yeah, oh yeah, really really, that's
- 46:00Speaker 1: what's going on? You calling me? She didn't told you
- 46:03Speaker 1: to call me and tell me basically what I wanted

- 46:20Speaker 1: I'm already making room for her at my apartment. I'm
- 46:23Speaker 1: just trying to come on, h Listen, that ain't none
- 46:30Speaker 1: of it. It's whatever if you want to come, do,
- 46:33Speaker 1: come do, But it ain't going out. We ain't. We
- 46:36Speaker 1: ain't going out without a fight. I'm not tripping. I'm
- 46:39Speaker 1: not tripping with you, and I'm not tripping it up.
- 46:42Speaker 1: But you come to my T'm about getting from my hall.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Then it's going down, me and you, Me and you.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So what's up? You're coming and get u because I'm
- 46:52Speaker 1: on the road right now and these shouts, but dob
- 46:55Speaker 1: meet you out. So if you're coming and get us,
- 46:57Speaker 1: come on with it. Okay, okay, though i'd let's back
- 47:01Speaker 1: up and see. Like I said, he I'm trying to
- 47:03Speaker 1: have less you know where. Then when you gotta have
- 47:04Speaker 1: no problem I want to do is come in the
- 47:06Speaker 1: house and get her stuff and pack it up so
- 47:09Speaker 1: I can get it over to me. You think you're
- 47:10Speaker 1: just gonna come in and tell my house and I've
- 47:16Speaker 1: been with I don't needs you. You think you just

- 47:20Speaker 1: got me, I'm telling you, do you come to my
- 47:23Speaker 1: house's going down? And that just then she needs to
- 47:26Speaker 1: be a woman. Why don't she bring it to me?
- 47:28Speaker 1: Why she didn't bring it to me? You know what?
- 47:30Speaker 1: I'm saying, what what what y'all want to be together? Now?
- 47:34Speaker 1: She ain't no more. All I know is she was
- 47:37Speaker 1: feeling me. That's all I'm saying. She was feeling me.
- 47:39Speaker 1: You know, she telling me. I mean, dude, you have
- 47:45Speaker 1: a problem with her league because that's her choice. You
- 47:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. If she claims she want to
- 47:49Speaker 1: be with me, that's what she won't. You know, I
- 47:51Speaker 1: ain't knocking what nobody do you understand? But what I'm
- 47:54Speaker 1: trying to tell you she telling me she want to
- 47:56Speaker 1: be with me. So I'm just trying to get you
- 47:57Speaker 1: to lift. Is it better for me or her to
- 47:59Speaker 1: go there while you ain't there? Ain't get our stuff?
- 48:02Speaker 1: Dog all this? Didn't you saying? Nah, I don't. I
- 48:06Speaker 1: ain't got the rational lot thing with you. She needs
- 48:09Speaker 1: to be the one telling me all of it is
- 48:11Speaker 1: and saying she can't do it. And you man, you man,
- 48:14Speaker 1: you know that what you call from man the man,
- 48:17Speaker 1: Come get up. That's all I'm saying. Come here, Hey, Samantha, Samantha,
- 48:21Speaker 1: Hey hey man, hey, hey hey man, my name is
- 48:24Speaker 1: sam Man. I ain't gonna tell you that already told
- 48:27Speaker 1: you that when you call, when you first called okay, Sam,
- 48:30Speaker 1: so listen, okay, way you know what. I ain't even
- 48:33Speaker 1: gonna go back and forward. You then shows me I'm
- 48:35Speaker 1: gonna come to you up. Hey, all this you talking?
- 48:40Speaker 1: You're still on this phone with all that y'all jacking.
- 48:43Speaker 1: If you're gonna come get up, I hadn't invited you.
- 48:46Speaker 1: So if you want to bring your so over here,
- 48:49Speaker 1: come get it tom aiden two old. I've up two
- 48:53Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, but I'll tell you this isn't much
- 48:56Speaker 1: too it the black them two down. They don't want
- 48:58Speaker 1: to me no more. They want to walk with me
- 49:00Speaker 1: no more. And like I said, telling something with you,
- 49:04Speaker 1: she ought to be woman to know what she's behind
- 49:05Speaker 1: the back in the background telling you to come tell
- 49:09Speaker 1: me from me. Think that's the man I'm gonna and
- 49:12Speaker 1: you come because you're acting like a too, I'm gonna plap.
- 49:16Speaker 1: So what's okay? Well look here, let me gonna say
- 49:18Speaker 1: this to you. Then can I can I tell you
- 49:20Speaker 1: what she called me? Man? You tell me you want
- 49:23Speaker 1: to tell me? Really don't know what she told you?
- 49:25Speaker 1: But what what's up? I just want to tell you
- 49:28Speaker 1: she told me to prank phone call you. This is nephew,

- 53:15Speaker 1: It is the popping Strawberry Letter. That's for Jay. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Subject I don't I don't like how he treats his
- 53:24Speaker 1: ex wife. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm thirty six years old
- 53:27Speaker 1: and recently divorced. I met a guy eight months ago
- 53:30Speaker 1: and he just got divorced too. We bonded over our
- 53:34Speaker 1: divorce dilemmas and he was open and honest about his breakup.
- 53:37Speaker 1: He told me that he was controlling and they had
- 53:40Speaker 1: a rough marriage because she liked to fight him and
- 53:42Speaker 1: throw stuff at him. He told me that he had
- 53:45Speaker 1: to restrain her a lot, but he never laid a
- 53:48Speaker 1: finger on her. He told me that he even took
- 53:50Speaker 1: a domestic violence class to try to fix his marriage.
- 53:54Speaker 1: This made me afraid to continue talking to him, but
- 53:56Speaker 1: I told myself that he was so sweet and forthcoming
- 53:59Speaker 1: within from nation, that I shouldn't penalize him for his past.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I wanted to go into our relationship with an open mind.
- 54:07Speaker 1: He's been nothing but a gentleman to me. I get
- 54:09Speaker 1: regular foot rubs and massages, flowers for no reason, and
- 54:14Speaker 1: he even does things around my house to help me out.
- 54:17Speaker 1: He never raised his voice at me or seemed irritated
- 54:21Speaker 1: at me, But whenever his ex wife calls him about
- 54:25Speaker 1: any little thing to do with their daughter, he is
- 54:27Speaker 1: a totally different person. He talks to her like she's
- 54:31Speaker 1: a piece of trash, and he usually hangs up on her.
- 54:35Speaker 1: He has done it in my presence numerous times, and
- 54:38Speaker 1: I always give him time to cool down before talking
- 54:41Speaker 1: to him. He's told me a few times that what
- 54:44Speaker 1: he calls. He's told me a few times what the
- 54:48Speaker 1: calls were about, and it's never anything for him to
- 54:51Speaker 1: be so angry with her. The other day, I overheard
- 54:54Speaker 1: him on the phone with his friend and he talked
- 54:57Speaker 1: about his ex wife NonStop and said that his ex
- 55:00Speaker 1: wife is lucky she moved out of town. This made
- 55:03Speaker 1: the hair on the back of my next stand up.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Could he be a violent man that had to go
- 55:08Speaker 1: to domestic abuse counseling U that had to go to
- 55:12Speaker 1: domestic abuse counseling or does his ex wife bring out
- 55:14Speaker 1: the worst in him? I need to know before I
- 55:17Speaker 1: go any further with him. Okay um, I think we
- 55:21Speaker 1: have a problem here. I do, and you certainly know
- 55:25Speaker 1: way more about this man than we do because you've
- 55:28Speaker 1: been dating him for eight months. But based upon what
- 55:31Speaker 1: you said, I think it's two things that are that
- 55:35Speaker 1: are issues with him. His ex wife most definitely brings
- 55:39Speaker 1: out the worst in him, and he does have violent tendencies.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I also think he still has feelings for her because
- 55:46Speaker 1: he gets so upset whenever he talks to her. And
- 55:50Speaker 1: you know, he may be sweet and giving you foot
- 55:52Speaker 1: massages and flowers and all of that to you. But
- 55:57Speaker 1: this guy that talks to his wife crazy and violent,
- 56:00Speaker 1: lee and all of that, that's him too, Okay, So
- 56:03Speaker 1: he's still that person, you know. I think he does
- 56:09Speaker 1: have feelings for her, like I said, because he gets
- 56:12Speaker 1: so upset when he talks to her, even when he
- 56:15Speaker 1: talks to others about her. I just don't think you've
- 56:18Speaker 1: brought out those violent tendencies in him yet. The red
- 56:22Speaker 1: flags are everywhere, and that's why you're confused. I'm sure
- 56:25Speaker 1: you wondered what would happen if you made him mad.
- 56:28Speaker 1: I'm sure that's run across your across your mind, and
- 56:31Speaker 1: it sounds like it wouldn't take much. I mean, he's
- 56:34Speaker 1: been good for these eight months, but who knows how
- 56:36Speaker 1: much longer that would last. I mean, people change, but
- 56:39Speaker 1: I don't think he hasn't because he's still doing it
- 56:41Speaker 1: with his ex wife. And why haven't you said anything
- 56:44Speaker 1: to him about his bad behavior towards his ex wife?
- 56:47Speaker 1: Why haven't you just you know, sat him down and
- 56:50Speaker 1: asked what the problem is. Yeah, he told you he
- 56:52Speaker 1: was controlling, but there's a lot more to it than that.
- 56:55Speaker 1: I think you really need to have a serious conversation
- 56:58Speaker 1: with this man. And find out what is going on.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Maybe he needs more than just a little bit of counseling. Yeah,
- 57:05Speaker 1: I don't like the field of this. I think these
- 57:07Speaker 1: are red flag Steve Well, it's real simple here. I'm
- 57:12Speaker 1: gonna get to it in a second, but first I'm
- 57:15Speaker 1: just gonna call this letter red flag letter, and I'm
- 57:21Speaker 1: gonna point out the red flags to you. Thirty six old,
- 57:25Speaker 1: recently divorced, met a great guy eight months ago. He
- 57:29Speaker 1: was just divorced. Two we bonded over our divorce dilemmas.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Red flag, y'all bonded over divorced dilemmas. Get your flag
- 57:42Speaker 1: out your pocket. I'm not saying it's a red flag yet,
- 57:45Speaker 1: but get your flags out. He was open and honest
- 57:50Speaker 1: about his breakup. He told me that he was controlling
- 57:54Speaker 1: and they had a rough marriage. Because right, let's just
- 57:58Speaker 1: stop right there at your red flag out. He told
- 58:03Speaker 1: you he was controlling and they had a rough marriage.
- 58:07Speaker 1: The reason they say they had a rough marriage was kids.
- 58:12Speaker 1: She liked to fight him and throw stuff at him.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Red flag. He got a lot going home to get
- 58:23Speaker 1: stuff throwed at you. Yeah, when they started throwing stuff,
- 58:28Speaker 1: that's cost words ain't enough. Get your flag out. He
- 58:32Speaker 1: told me that he had to restrain her a lot,
- 58:37Speaker 1: but he never laid a finger on her. Get your
- 58:40Speaker 1: flag out. How do you restrain a person without touching them?
- 58:47Speaker 1: Help me? Now, let me throw this one. He told
- 58:50Speaker 1: me that he even took a domestic violence class to
- 58:53Speaker 1: try to fix his marriage. He didn't say they took.
- 58:56Speaker 1: He said he took a domestic violence clad girl. Now
- 59:07Speaker 1: he took a domestic viole girl. Get your flag out.
- 59:13Speaker 1: A matter of fact, get your flag out and tap
- 59:15Speaker 1: it on your forehead. So when he talking, he know
- 59:18Speaker 1: you know that the flags is out. I'm just trying
- 59:24Speaker 1: to help you. Now, when I come back, I'll give
- 59:27Speaker 1: you the rest of it and what I think you
- 59:29Speaker 1: should do. All right, Hang on, Steve, We'll have part
- 59:31Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 59:34Speaker 1: after the hour. I don't like how he treats his
- 59:36Speaker 1: ex wife is a subject. We'll get back into it
- 59:39Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 59:45Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject I don't like
- 59:48Speaker 1: how he treats his ex wife, and I call this
- 59:50Speaker 1: the red flag letter. Let's go over the red flags
- 59:55Speaker 1: met a guy months ago. He had just got divorced.
- 59:58Speaker 1: I'm divorced. We bonded over divorce dilemmas. Get your flag
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: out open an honest about to break up. He told
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: me that he was controlling Get your flag out, and
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: that they had a rough marriage because she liked to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: fight and throw stuff at him. Get your flag out.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: When women start throwing stuff, it's because the words ain't
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: working no more. He told me that he had to
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: restrain her a lot, but he never laid a finger
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: on them. Excuse me, how do you restrain a person
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: without laying your hands on him? Tell me how you
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: do that? What you just got a pillar in front
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: of you blocking everything because she stayed throwing stuff. Get
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: your red flags out. He told me he even took
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: a domestic violet class to try to fix his marriage.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: He took a domestic violens class. He didn't say she
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: had to go take a domestic violens class. He said
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: he took a domestic violens class to try to fix
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: his marriage. That's to fix the damage he hadn't done
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: in the marriage. This made me afraid to continue talking
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to him. Where is your red flag hat? When you
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: when your two intuition tells you that you are afraid
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: of a man. Get your flagout system. But I told
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: myself he was so sweet and forthcoming with the information.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Why do y'all do that? Ladies? Why do y'all think
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: because if a dude is honest about something, that makes
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: him a better person. Hell, he just told it to
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: you to see what you're willing to accept. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: so here we go. And so then I shouldn't penalize
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: him for his past. I wanted to go into our
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: relationship with an open mind. He's been nothing but a
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: gentleman to me. I get regular foot rubs and massages,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: flowers for no reason, and he even does things around
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: my house to keep me out, to excuse me, to
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: help me out. He's never raised his voice at me
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: or seemed irritant, hated at me. Red flag. Now, he
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: had a rough marriage. All of this stuff was because
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: of rough times, fighting, hidden restraining. And now you think
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: this man is all that? Can I tell you why
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: you think he's all that? Because y'all ain't hit a
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: rough spot yet. As soon as you hit a rough spot,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: you may get some of the same stuff. And let
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: me tell you what you're gonna get you say. He's
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: never raised his voice to me or seemed irritated, But
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: when his ex wife called him about any little thing
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: to do with their daughter, totally different person. Red flag.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: He talks to her like she's a piece of trash.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Red flag. He usually hangs up on her another red flag.

- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Red flag, red flag, red flag. He's told me time.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: He's told me a few times that he called what
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: the cause were about, and there's never anything for him

- 1:03:55Speaker 1: fix his match or does his ex wife bring out

- 1:06:47Speaker 1: there were some good, good things that came out of COVID.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Not a lot. For instance, because of COVID, some people
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: still had to go to work and you took your
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: lunch and you say you ate half of it, and
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: you put it in the refrigerator. When you came back,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: it was still there. Nobody, no nobody, no nobody touched it.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I mean and my life, guys, and no day that
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: that killed the lunch band that you can put it in.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Hey it it stayed in the until it went bad,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: until it just just molded up. No, yea, yea by
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that because of COVID. We all were affected about COVID.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: It is some good thing to come out of COVID.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Nobody showed you your babe, their baby, which means you
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: don't had to look at no ugly ass babies and
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: then lie, you had to lie, Oh that's a beautiful
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You ain't had to say that because anybody showed you
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: that damn baby. Well, why didn't they show it because
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: they didn't want the baby? Did it sicker then with
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you breathing on that baby, no ignorant? Yeah, because of COVID,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: all your aunties out there with mustaches because you had
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: your mask on, nobody saw you can let it grow out.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: You you can go go tea. If you nobody can,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: you can lay your mask down and when you go back,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: it's gonna be right there, your man. Nobody grabbed that mask.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Last one, last one for ladies. Ladies who got that
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: creepy uncle that cut at that creepy hugging and all
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: that time and cut that out COVID then creepy ass
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: nash dass uncles that like the hug real long. Stopped it.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: It stopped, all right, Well, thank you Jay for pointing
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: that out. Yeah, we'll be back with more of the
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the hour right after this. You're listening to the Steven Show,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: all right, guys. According to a new survey, seventy eight
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: percent of Americans say they feel stress at least once
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: a week, with fifteen percent saying they're stressed every single day.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Monday mornings are apparently the most stressful, with nineteen percent
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: saying they're stress peaks on the first day of work
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: of the work week. Not surprising, people describe the pandemic
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: as the most stressful time in their life. Also, money
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: is a major issue for people right now. Other top
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: causes of stress include work, physical health, mental health and family.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: And then there are the people who are causing people stress,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: with fourteen percent of those surveys saying there's fouse slash
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: partner is the main source of their stress, followed by
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: my boss, my parents, my kids, and other family members.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: So I gotta ask the guys, are what is causing
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you the most stress? And so first let's start there, guys,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: and then Steve tell us some things you do to distress? Well,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: first of all, it ain't my wife that causes me.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: No stress causes you that in my life, y'all? No good?
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Hell will what I'm gonna do mean? I'm a participant
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: in the court system. Can I aim in that? Yes,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: bitter man? Yeah, so nah, I ain't got that problem.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I used to sit in my driveway for I was
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: dreading to go in the house. I don't do that normal,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: you know. I used to fly back out to La early.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: You know. I don't do that no more. So, I
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: don't really have that. I think the biggest stress point
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: in my life is probably I probably had to say
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Tommy what it's probably with him? You know, so weird
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: about somebody whipping his ass over these planks, you know,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: weird about it? You know, if he's gonna add the
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: short as he come in to work the next yeah,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: gonna sell out. You know, I know here german phobic.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Is he gonna get COVID? If he get it, how
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: he gonna act? You know? Down there he cleaning vaccination
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: needles and stuff down that I'm going board and come
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: out of a pack. It's just probably. That's really it
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: for me. I really stressed too much. I ain't got
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: no you know, woes and stuff like that. A little
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: concerned about the next move every nine then, But I
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: as soon as I get concerned, I just tell God,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I ain't got nothing to do with it. Show me
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: what you want me to do. That's it for me,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: all right? All right? What about you, Jay or Tommy?
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Did you want to respond? No? I don't. Now that's surprised.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: It's surprised all of us. All right, come on, Jay,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: what you got? Well, I've been blessed. The man upstairs
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: is truly truly blessed me doing COVID. I mean, all
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: of us. We were able to work, so you know,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: the only thing we had to deal with was being home,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: and you know, we were making money. We were working.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I could get I could get my stuff that I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: wanted to get. But I moved to Atlanta and Atlanta
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: is not like late and I'm I've been so stressful
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: since I got here, Like, where am I gonna get it?
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Who am I gonna I gotta get new people because
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I don't know these people? You know what I mean? Stress?
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: It's oh my god, Shelly, I mean in La, there's
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: a story. You just go in, show your ID and
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: it's just it's a wall to wall. You got the cookies,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: you got, drink, you got gummies, you got brownies, you
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: got and nah. Now I'm in Atlanta. I don't know
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: these dudes. I can't. I can't. Who can I trust?
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: What are you stressed out? Do you hear the stress
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: in my voice? You're legal in La? Oh lord God?
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back if we're still on the air,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:14:12Speaker 1: the competition. That's right, According to a poll of potential voters,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: he was the presidential preference of forty six percent of
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: the over thirty thousand people surveyed. Angelina Jolie, Uh no,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Angelina Jolie was next to lead the Free World with
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: thirty percent. Boo with U with Oprah Winfrey for what for?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: What to be the president? Angelina boom? Yeah, so it
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: was the Rock, It was Dwayne the Rock Johnson, then
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Angelina Jolie. Now I'm talking about Oprah Winfrey. She got
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: twenty seven percent. Yeah. Uh. Meanwhile, participants were also asked
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: about Matthew McConaughey, you know he's thinking about it seriously
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: now running for governor of Texas, UM, throwing his hat

- 1:15:16Speaker 1: take my boo back. Yeah, but is he? Is he

- 1:15:51Speaker 1: past Friday, Earl Simmons we know him as DMX, passed away.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: X was fifty years old. On April second, he was
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: admitted to a hospital in White Plains, New York, after

- 1:16:10Speaker 1: being on life support and his family was by his side.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: His family released a statement saying Earl was a warrior
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: who fought until the very end. He loved his family
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: with all of his heart, and we cherished the times
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: we spent with him. Earl's music inspired countless fans around
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: the world, and his iconic legacy will live on forever.

- 1:16:53Speaker 1: our deepest condolences are going out to the Simmons family.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I think that Swiss beats uh Instagram posts and talking
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: about Dmax was the best. Yeah, they were really really close. Yes,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: they were like brothers man Swiss. Swiss did a lot
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: of music with DM MAX and I had talked with
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: him about it before the verses, and you know he
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: was just heartbroken and um yeah he was hoping. We
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: you know, everybody was hoping for the best. But it
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: wasn't meant to be. And you know he was he
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: was just greatness. Man. And the tribute that's going on
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: about this young brother man all around the nation. Man,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: it's like really heart warning man. Yeah, the dude cross
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: his music crossed over so well. Man. A lot of rappers,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: a lot of rappers never get that opportunity to do
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: man and DMX, Yeah, you know he did that, man,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: he did. That's a movement. I mean in the nineties
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: when he hit the he he was nobody was like him.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: He was aggressive, he was streaked, he was grimy. And
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: so how he approached his story telling what he was
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: doing and rapping, we had never heard that before and
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: people just loved them to motorcycles, you know, rough riders
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: and all that. So I saw a concert caller, a
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: feat of white people a seat. Yeah, that's the one
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: I'm telling about. God man. Yeah, feeling around the world. Yeah,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: around the world. And he wrote all of his songs.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: He wrote all of his songs. He wrote a very
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: talented he was so sad. Yeah, yeah, definitely family, My
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: mind up in him, up in him. I mean, who
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: ain't single wall off? Right? Right? See who ain't saying that?
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: And he put in the music and it's like, damn,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: everybody has been saying that, right you right a dog?
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: I don't know nobody household where you ain't heard that?
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: All right? Coming up, our last break of the day

- 1:20:15Speaker 1: all that noise. The co workers like, oh, really, well,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: good thing. We got that project in on two taking
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: all the credit. Man, and I'm not gonna come in
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: when the meet. He comes in forty minutes late for
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: the meeting, forty minutes straight the meeting, and he walks in,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: So what y'all do? What we're doing? Oh? Oh oh

- 1:20:59Speaker 1: didn't know what I was in here talking about. Bring
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: me up to see stand and y'all doing this again
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: tomorrow too, all right? All right? Oh here saying oh
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: that's due today. I was today on that five day
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: a week. Guy first started show. Yeah, first to clock out,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: he's the first to clockout, the absolute first. He's at

- 1:21:42Speaker 1: We all know that's him that takes those long lunch breaks. Man.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: You remember punching the clock some yea, some people don't.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I remember punching the clock boy, Yeah, oh my god.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Put that little paper and then hit that bud. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: the work. And you looked at the plant right like
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: a board plant link electric, gellery electric. What is the
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: weirdest job everybody has going around the room, The weirdest
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: job everybody had, the weirdest job, the weirdest job. I
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: can't tell you, man. Well, when I was, when I
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: was little, I was, I was little learned and I
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: was very small. So this guy hired me at a
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: car dealership to go up under the dashboard and turn
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: back the spedometers so it looked like they didn't have
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: a whole lot of mounds on them. And he gave
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: me illegal he gave me, Yeah it's illegal, but it's done.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: And he gave me twenty five dollars a car. Yeah.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Oh that a lot of car dealers do it. Yeah,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: oh yeah, Yeah. Weirdest job I was up. My weirdest
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: job was I was when I was about eighteen, eighteen
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: or nineteen. I was a model at this boutique and um,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I was in the window and I had I was
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: a mannequin, a live mannequin. That was my job. Yeah,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: it was a mannequin. I was a mannequin. Yeah. And
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: and people, he must have had your eyes. I was
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: just gonna say that, I was gonna say that I
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: was a mannequin in a store window. I was, Yeah,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I don't know if I had a weird My weirdest job,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I cleaned up your offices at fifteen. That's pretty good
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: job when people but that was back when people would
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: smoke and I would have to go into offices like
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: oh yeah, the ash trade. You know that a little
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: white powder member put the cigarette stuff out. That's the
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: only weird job I had. The rest of them was
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: legit trying. I worked at a dump as a kid, really,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: so like, yeah, I worked at a dump and they
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: would pay me when they would pay me to come
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: and dump. It wasn't a city dump. It was it
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: was a ACA's home. It was yeah, I guess you
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: can call that, but you can you know, it's trash.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: It's not garbage. There's two different things. And they come dump,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: they trash, and they would pay me and I'm sitting there,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: you know, I have a big wad of money. My
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: uncle would come and get my dad's brother would come
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and get the money from me, and you know, but
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: I mean he was making a killing. But it was
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a it was a almost like a pond, and they
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: would basically be filling up these holes, filling up these
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: water holes, and that's where the trash would go. And
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: then after it's all filled, they covered with dirton and
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: it looks real pretty, but it was it was water holes.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: It was. It was weird. Okay, trash from garbage, no food.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Garbage is okay, that's what I thought. No food, okay,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: trash tore down a house, that's trash. Well, when I
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: first started my carpet cleaning company, the first day I
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: had the idea, I got some flies printing up. I
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: took him to church and I passed them out, and
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: it was doing, you know, like any five rooms fifty nine, Well,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: somebody hired me. I'm in there trying to clean five
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: rooms by my damn self. I'm moving dresses, lifted up
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: one the end of the couch, setting it back down.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I wore my ass out. I was in that lady's
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: house all day long. I got that eight o'clock in
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: the morning. I ain't leave to ten thirty that night.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: Nine dollars plus minus the cost to the machine and equipment,
