- 2:18Speaker 1: need you to catch fire today. I want you to
- 2:22Speaker 1: catch fire today. You want to phrase it another way,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I want you to catch on fire today, but I
- 2:30Speaker 1: need you to catch fire today. I need today to
- 2:33Speaker 1: be today that you stop complaining and you do something.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Do you know why a lot of people can't move
- 2:40Speaker 1: forward in their life because they complaining about their past?
- 2:44Speaker 1: They always complaining, man about something? Is that explains the
- 2:48Speaker 1: reason why they are. Let me help you with this
- 2:51Speaker 1: right here. If you are steady complaining about the reason
- 2:55Speaker 1: you are, you know, if I hadn't met this man,
- 2:58Speaker 1: if I hadn't been involved with this woman, if I
- 3:00Speaker 1: hadn't had this baby, if I had to never went
- 3:03Speaker 1: down there, if I hadn't got arrested, if I hadn't
- 3:06Speaker 1: it this, if I hadn't it if I had a
- 3:08Speaker 1: just finished school, if I hadn't a hey, hey, hey,
- 3:12Speaker 1: stop stop all that stuff that you're complaining about, everything
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you keep allowing to resonate with you as a
- 3:22Speaker 1: reason to justify and explain you not being successful. Can
- 3:26Speaker 1: I share something with you about all of that? Guess
- 3:29Speaker 1: what it is. You didn't got past all of it.
- 3:33Speaker 1: You didn't had the baby, you got arrested, they didn't
- 3:36Speaker 1: kill you, You didn't finish school, but you're still standing.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You met that man, he gone, He involved with two
- 3:43Speaker 1: other women. Right now, I got three other kids. Guess what.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You still here and the baby's here. You got over
- 3:50Speaker 1: all the injustices that were done to you. You got
- 3:53Speaker 1: something happened to you when you as a kid. You're
- 3:55Speaker 1: an adult now. Somebody did something to you when you
- 3:58Speaker 1: was a little boy. Guess what you're man now. Some
- 4:02Speaker 1: things happened to you that you haven't found closure on.
- 4:06Speaker 1: The person that you're looking for closure from has moved on.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Can I tell you that everything that has happened to you?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Do you know you've gotten past it? So why are
- 4:17Speaker 1: you steady complaining about what has happened to you that
- 4:21Speaker 1: has caused you to be in this position? But do
- 4:24Speaker 1: you understand that it's prohibiting you from moving forward? Stop
- 4:28Speaker 1: complaining today, catch fire, Let your pass be your pass.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I've told us to you a hundred times on this radio,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say it again. Bishop Jake's told me
- 4:37Speaker 1: something man that helped me so greatly. You can't drive
- 4:41Speaker 1: your car if you're gonna keep looking in the rearview mirror.
- 4:46Speaker 1: That's why the windshield is huge. The windshield is huge.
- 4:52Speaker 1: The rearview mirror is this tiny thing that sits up there.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Now all is far. It's so you can see stuff
- 4:59Speaker 1: that's coming up on you. All the review mirror for
- 5:03Speaker 1: is so you can assure yourself or listen to this.
- 5:06Speaker 1: The review mirror is impt there to assure you that
- 5:10Speaker 1: you've cleared something. See. That's what the review mirrors for.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So when you pass it corn you want to switch lanes,
- 5:17Speaker 1: you can glance upding and it says, okay, you're clear.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Now you passed it. You can switch lanes. That's how
- 5:23Speaker 1: all the review mirrors for it ain't for you to
- 5:25Speaker 1: stare at and dictate your life with what you're tripping for. Man,
- 5:29Speaker 1: catch fire today today, Man quick complaining about everything that
- 5:35Speaker 1: had happened to you? Life is ten percent. What happens
- 5:38Speaker 1: to you is ninety percent. What you do about what
- 5:40Speaker 1: happens to you? What are you going to do about it?
- 5:45Speaker 1: So what I got all this? Look, man, your story
- 5:48Speaker 1: ain't no deeper than nobody else's. I can tell you
- 5:50Speaker 1: I was homeless for three years. It's people been homeless
- 5:53Speaker 1: for thirty years. How long I'm gonna ride that out? Man?
- 5:59Speaker 1: You know I can ain't gona do nothing right now.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I fell on hard times and I lost my place
- 6:03Speaker 1: to stay. Why are you staying now? See the majority
- 6:09Speaker 1: of people are staying somewhere right now. I was out there.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I didn't have nowhere to go. I'm in a shelter. Now.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You was under the bridge a week ago. You're in
- 6:18Speaker 1: the shelter. Now, why are you still crying about the bridge?
- 6:22Speaker 1: You in the shelter now? Man? You know how you
- 6:27Speaker 1: find your purpose? You get in touch with who created you.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Because when God made you, he had a purpose in mind.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Now we've ignored it and we haven't tapped into it.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But we all had a purpose. You don't, and it's
- 6:43Speaker 1: sometimes it take people longer to discover the purpose. Colonel
- 6:47Speaker 1: Sanders was frying chicken with a recipe that he was
- 6:51Speaker 1: telling people was the best chicken in the world. Ain't
- 6:54Speaker 1: nobody believe him till he turned seventy? Why you think
- 6:59Speaker 1: the dude that's only Kentucky fried chicken signs is old.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That dude ain't twenty up there he oh, he oh,
- 7:09Speaker 1: But you know what, he had been frying that chicken
- 7:13Speaker 1: for forty some years. They just found out about it
- 7:17Speaker 1: when he was seventy. But he didn't give up his
- 7:21Speaker 1: purpose in life. This dude was just frying chicken. See,
- 7:25Speaker 1: people keep looking for their gifts in all kinds of
- 7:27Speaker 1: places when it's right there in you. You ain't got
- 7:29Speaker 1: to go to school to find your gift. You're born
- 7:32Speaker 1: with the gift to God God for you. You'll go
- 7:35Speaker 1: to school to tack it on to something else. But
- 7:38Speaker 1: your gift was already given to you. You were born
- 7:41Speaker 1: with that. You don't have to go to college to
- 7:43Speaker 1: know your guilt. Your college allows you to enhance it,
- 7:46Speaker 1: to find something to attach it to and hopefully you
- 7:48Speaker 1: get a degree that attaches your gift to a vehicle
- 7:52Speaker 1: where it can work. The problem with college is we
- 7:56Speaker 1: go to college and we attach it to what we
- 7:58Speaker 1: like or what we might be passionate about, and we
- 8:00Speaker 1: ignore the gift we have. You know how many people
- 8:02Speaker 1: and graduating from college ain't doing nothing they went to
- 8:04Speaker 1: college for. Come on, man, you know why, because you're
- 8:07Speaker 1: discovering life, your guilt. You discover what you was born
- 8:10Speaker 1: to do. I wasn't bought you know what I mean.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You know what my major was in college? It was advertising.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I can't be in no death, drawing, no picture for nobody.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But now guess what I can wake up every day
- 8:22Speaker 1: and guess what I can tell you. I advertise. I've
- 8:25Speaker 1: been advertising my career. Come see me live. Come see
- 8:29Speaker 1: me live at Madison Square Garden, Come see me live
- 8:32Speaker 1: at Philips Arena. Come see me live at Joker's Comedy Club.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Come see me live at Percy's. Come see me live
- 8:38Speaker 1: at Ellis's Tavern. Come see me live. Come. I've been
- 8:41Speaker 1: advertising the whole time, but I had a different purpose
- 8:45Speaker 1: in mine because I went and I talked to God.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And this is how you do it. You go talk
- 8:50Speaker 1: to God and say, hey God, look, okay, this is
- 8:53Speaker 1: the deal. I've been struggling here. I'm over forty. I
- 8:57Speaker 1: still haven't found my purpose in life. Okay, but so
- 9:00Speaker 1: I can quit wasting any more time, would you help
- 9:03Speaker 1: direct me and guide me to my purpose? I know
- 9:06Speaker 1: you created me to do something. I just haven't found
- 9:10Speaker 1: what it is. And the reason I haven't found what
- 9:12Speaker 1: it is because I've been doing things my way. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: ain't been checking what you confirmed with you on anything.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I ain't locked in or tried to settle it up
- 9:19Speaker 1: with you. I've been just doing my thing. Well, my
- 9:22Speaker 1: thing has gotten me as far as it can get me.
- 9:25Speaker 1: How about you takeover and do your thing now? Can
- 9:28Speaker 1: you direct me in my path? I'm an open book.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Treat me like a piece of clay. I'm telling you, man,
- 9:35Speaker 1: if you go to God, he'll give it to you.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But see you have not because you asked not. How
- 9:42Speaker 1: many times have you asked God for it? This ain't
- 9:46Speaker 1: no magic trick, y'all. This is the deal. You got
- 9:49Speaker 1: to catch fire today. Catch fire today, I am. I'm
- 9:53Speaker 1: excited about today. I've got a lot to do. You're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentleman, bards and girls. Man, have you undivided attention? Pa,
- 10:06Speaker 1: this is Steve Harvey Morty Show. Let's stop all that
- 10:09Speaker 1: extra who I'm trying to be, no doubt, just be yourself. Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 1: stop all this acting. Yes, that's who we want you.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Back off your bills here. Well, first of all, I
- 10:26Speaker 1: want to thank the Lord that I'm alive and I
- 10:28Speaker 1: survived the weekend. Boy, thank you God. Yeah, you had
- 10:40Speaker 1: a little retreat. Yeah, I meant it wasn't a retreat.
- 10:43Speaker 1: It was all forward. Now retreat us when you pull back. Okay,
- 10:52Speaker 1: this was all forward man, a great time. Yeah. I'm
- 10:58Speaker 1: gonna post some more exciting stuff soon. Just now now okay.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve. Welcome back at one Pace. Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 1: Colin Pharrell, Happy Monday. What's up Steve and crew? This
- 11:14Speaker 1: is the original crew. Nephew, Tommy, ya ya, welcome back.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Baby's Monday. Let's get a big dogger. You just got
- 11:26Speaker 1: the word. Tell us one story, one good story, give
- 11:29Speaker 1: us something, give us a little so yeah, but you
- 11:32Speaker 1: always have a story for us. I'm trying to get
- 11:35Speaker 1: about what I could say though. All right, I was
- 11:37Speaker 1: hanging out this weekend and an old frat brother mine
- 11:41Speaker 1: stopped by his name, Lucky Love. I want to thank
- 11:44Speaker 1: God for Lucky Love. One of the most brilliant brothers
- 11:47Speaker 1: I know. He was a chemist major in college. Genius.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Now the thing with genius people is is something wrong
- 11:55Speaker 1: with him? You do understand that, don't you? You're you're
- 11:59Speaker 1: one of we know. Wow. So he came and he's
- 12:07Speaker 1: making his own beverages. Now we're just calling beverages, okay.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And he bought this apple side of you know, with
- 12:18Speaker 1: the like a gallant apple side of jig with the
- 12:20Speaker 1: little hook on it where you cared with your fingering
- 12:22Speaker 1: that little hook. But it's all glass, ain't no writing
- 12:26Speaker 1: on it. And it was brown, and there was mushrooms
- 12:30Speaker 1: in the bottom that stayed at the bottom. And he
- 12:33Speaker 1: bought it for everybody to drink. Nobody touched it, and
- 12:38Speaker 1: he didn't understand why if you just saw what this
- 12:41Speaker 1: drink looked like. I said, look, you expect us to
- 12:43Speaker 1: drink it? I absolutely do. I said, well, I gotta
- 12:48Speaker 1: go to work Monday, and I want to be able
- 12:51Speaker 1: to recall who I am on Monday. He said, well,
- 12:57Speaker 1: don't drink this to Tuesday. Then that's the only story
- 13:03Speaker 1: I can tell. Y'all. Man, you have more, I'm sure
- 13:06Speaker 1: all right. We got coming up in thirty two. After
- 13:09Speaker 1: the hour, we'll have more from Steve. He'll think of
- 13:12Speaker 1: more on the break. We'll be back right after this.
- 13:14Speaker 1: You're listening to show, Well, it's time for something funny

- 21:04Speaker 1: this yeah, but we've been working with him every day.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Y'all are so disrespectful. Man. Did I go on him?
- 21:14Speaker 1: What that man? We supposed to treat him different? Yes? No,
- 21:19Speaker 1: because hell we ain't broke people you treat better than him? No? No, oh, no,
- 21:25Speaker 1: I gotta ain't it. I sweat. I never talked to

- 22:04Speaker 1: I was winning when he was working one hundred dollars
- 22:06Speaker 1: to get that. I was him through it. I knew
- 22:11Speaker 1: him when he wasn't was nothing but but but now
- 22:17Speaker 1: he didn't pass everybody. You're not tripping on you. You
- 22:21Speaker 1: don't want to sound like you. I didn't know he
- 22:24Speaker 1: was just rich. Ye oh my god, do you need
- 22:27Speaker 1: your shoes because you know you're gonna be on teeth?
- 22:30Speaker 1: Sign we know not. We're not doing this for him.
- 22:33Speaker 1: We're not listen and make it work forget that. Regular
- 22:38Speaker 1: folks got thirty dollars hour that regular folk? All right?

- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm about I'm throwing my mustache shot and I'm cutting
- 24:09Speaker 1: all my hell and I'm about to bend my knee
- 24:12Speaker 1: some more. I'll be mobo legged. I look just like
- 24:17Speaker 1: everybody need a minime, everybody need a mini me. I
- 24:19Speaker 1: can see that lift thing going wrong, and then you're
- 24:22Speaker 1: gonna look ridiculous. I'm bleaching myself to get You're gonna
- 24:26Speaker 1: send your right in the south. I'm telling you, okay,
- 24:29Speaker 1: when you're healthy and you still ain't there, and that's
- 24:31Speaker 1: the seat. I just see one side of that mustage,
- 24:33Speaker 1: taking just one side, just on one side. Watch me,
- 24:39Speaker 1: watch me be just like Steve bout tomorrow. Y'all, y'all
- 24:42Speaker 1: get on out here with this. It's man worth money,
- 24:45Speaker 1: just man, junior. After you do all of that, that
- 24:47Speaker 1: don't make that, don't make you worth money. I see
- 24:51Speaker 1: the closest image I got. I see the bottom lift,
- 24:54Speaker 1: real thick in the top lift thing. Yeah, you're gonna
- 24:57Speaker 1: miss itself. Okay, Look there's my key, you ain't gonna
- 25:08Speaker 1: cheer me. I don't see nobody said I want to
- 25:10Speaker 1: be like j nobody ship. I ain't hurried down. I
- 25:16Speaker 1: used to want to be funny as jaydo. I ain't
- 25:18Speaker 1: gonna lie to you, no, Ja, he was my goal.
- 25:22Speaker 1: He was my whole girl. I wanted to be that
- 25:23Speaker 1: funny on stage. I really did. I wanted to be
- 25:27Speaker 1: that funny on stage. Do you want the funniest dudes
- 25:29Speaker 1: I ever met? Oh? Yeah, ain't on stage? Dog? When
- 25:33Speaker 1: when the boy ain't gonna go to bathroom? He ain
- 25:38Speaker 1: tell you something? He ass out there. You're gonna make
- 25:40Speaker 1: your pay what you get. Nervous. I'm nervous for the
- 25:50Speaker 1: show I got to do this weekend and Augustin already
- 25:55Speaker 1: already day. I know with ya, Julia can't tell you
- 26:02Speaker 1: something about me, Junior? What's that up? I'm mean, my
- 26:06Speaker 1: this is going on day? Let me see. Yeah, this
- 26:10Speaker 1: is two weeks of not shaving. I haven't shaved in
- 26:14Speaker 1: two weeks. James Harden comes to mind. What you know it?
- 26:20Speaker 1: I know it's full, but it's it's not thicky. I
- 26:23Speaker 1: need about two more weeks, but you know about two
- 26:26Speaker 1: more weeks coming in can you know, I mean about
- 26:29Speaker 1: two more weeks. Yeah, George Wallace's mama has the same look.
- 26:36Speaker 1: When I saw you, I'm like, oh, oh, Steve, I
- 26:39Speaker 1: thought it was he is. Yes, y'all, don't fight about
- 26:45Speaker 1: this now. Just I'm telling the truth. I'm not lying lies.
- 26:49Speaker 1: When you loun somebody, then fu his mother's day. I
- 26:58Speaker 1: gave his mama lead Whackona said, let me see it? Really, Jay,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I hate oh god? Hey alright, alright, that was true.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Told you want to be Steve differently. Yeah, I used
- 27:23Speaker 1: to fall on the bocuse you need to ride down
- 27:25Speaker 1: to the TV show today because I'm going that way. No, no, no,
- 27:29Speaker 1: I'll be I'll be on TV in the car if
- 27:31Speaker 1: I know a little about two weeks weekend, about two
- 27:34Speaker 1: more weeks, I'll be back. Why will you take your car?
- 27:38Speaker 1: If he just needed it, you're just giving him all
- 27:40Speaker 1: your stuff, you're gonna get around. I don't have to.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Oh you go, all right, we gotta go. We'll be back.
- 27:50Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right? Here we go with something funny,
- 27:57Speaker 1: So Steve, now what is this? Women all ways beat
- 28:00Speaker 1: men at arguments. We know this, but they do because
- 28:04Speaker 1: they do things that men don't do and are incapable
- 28:09Speaker 1: of doing. Here's some reasons that you'll never win an argument.
- 28:16Speaker 1: How about the first one. You need to understand and
- 28:19Speaker 1: above all else, they don't forget what nothing? They don't
- 28:27Speaker 1: forget a dug gonne. You let it go, she said,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I forgive you, but she banked all that information. Women
- 28:41Speaker 1: have the biggest hard drive in their brains ever creative.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Ibm ain't got nothing on a woman's hard drive. Baby
- 28:51Speaker 1: with sports. Yeah, you can't erase their hard drive. It's
- 28:56Speaker 1: locked in forever. Your nineteen ninety eight when I got
- 28:59Speaker 1: that another you know what we do? We delete information? Right? Yeah?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Oh you deleted? The men get it off our phone
- 29:11Speaker 1: computer everything they don't. They don't delete. That's stupid. It's
- 29:19Speaker 1: called evidence, right, baby, I'll tell you another thing they got.
- 29:24Speaker 1: They got a picture or ever, even if it ain't
- 29:31Speaker 1: a photograph, it's a mental image they got you. You know,
- 29:37Speaker 1: women come off it and don't say. Here's another one,
- 29:41Speaker 1: and don't say you didn't say something. You're right, you
- 29:46Speaker 1: didn't say it, but your text and guess what you'll
- 29:52Speaker 1: doubs forgot here it is right here, I got it.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I say this. Here's another reason women always win because
- 30:01Speaker 1: women don't care if you answer or pick up their phone.
- 30:05Speaker 1: You don't they know, they don't. You know why because
- 30:09Speaker 1: all you're gonna find its pictures of shoes, recipes, baby
- 30:13Speaker 1: pictures and half stocks. You're right with me, exact no
- 30:20Speaker 1: ever did on the damn no look at it three
- 30:29Speaker 1: seven six five, I don't have any Here's the other
- 30:35Speaker 1: reason you can't win an argument. Because they can see
- 30:38Speaker 1: who you call it on your phone from a mile away.
- 30:42Speaker 1: They can. I don't give damn what kind of protective
- 30:45Speaker 1: screen you got on there? The black one that you
- 30:48Speaker 1: can't see from the side. Chic see so who is she? Ye? Scary?
- 31:01Speaker 1: Here's another reason you can't remember. You can't win an
- 31:04Speaker 1: argument why because they remember exact dates, exact dates, with
- 31:15Speaker 1: the details, with your head. What you was eating, yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 1: what car you was in? Yeah? Where you was sitting?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Un can't win. Breathe it out, Jay, breathe it out.
- 31:30Speaker 1: There is another reason you can't win an argument with
- 31:33Speaker 1: a woman. You're ready without even setting it up. They
- 31:39Speaker 1: lie for each of chie. They don't have to set
- 31:49Speaker 1: it none of that carlor, Where was I yesterday? At
- 31:52Speaker 1: my house? Immediately you have to make the well watching
- 32:00Speaker 1: the Atlanta housewise, I gotta call Jay punk. I was
- 32:06Speaker 1: with you. I got to say something. And here's the
- 32:10Speaker 1: other reason you can't win, because they have one put
- 32:15Speaker 1: down that no man has ever been able to top.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Here is to put down their use stop acting like
- 32:24Speaker 1: some little old girl, except they don't use girl. She
- 32:31Speaker 1: just called me after that. You're shaken to the core.
- 32:38Speaker 1: You can't come back like right now. You just stuck
- 32:41Speaker 1: on that. Yeah, stopped acting like some little old girl.
- 32:46Speaker 1: But they don't say girls. But they don't say girl.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Now you up in here. All you hear is that
- 32:50Speaker 1: we went again that argument. You ain't got no more points. Actually,
- 32:58Speaker 1: you was winning the arts. We know how to shut
- 33:04Speaker 1: it down. Wow, man, Yeah, because there's no comeback. You
- 33:12Speaker 1: got no comeback. But let me tell you something, ladies, Yes,
- 33:15Speaker 1: you should never say that to your man. I would
- 33:18Speaker 1: say that to my husband. I've never been because because
- 33:21Speaker 1: words cut really deep. And once you cut a man
- 33:25Speaker 1: so deep, how do you fix that? And I know
- 33:30Speaker 1: women who have used that on their man a lot.
- 33:33Speaker 1: And I'm telling you it's hard to come back for that.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Because men I come back for that is well, okay,
- 33:41Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I know, somebody don't think I'm
- 33:44Speaker 1: a little old girl. Yeah, because what that that's that's
- 33:47Speaker 1: the ultimate insult for man. You're just a little old girl. Man.
- 33:54Speaker 1: You can't come back from then. And when you do
- 33:58Speaker 1: that to a man, you damage what you say, tom
- 34:03Speaker 1: ouch ouch? Yeah that one. H right. This is how
- 34:13Speaker 1: you woman really feel about what's bad is when you
- 34:15Speaker 1: see a guy get done in public like, oh no,
- 34:18Speaker 1: that is I don't you see his lady do that
- 34:24Speaker 1: to women like that hurt women that women women don't like. Yeah, man,
- 34:32Speaker 1: all right, more of this crazy ignorant show. Steve Harvey
- 34:36Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this, you're listening to Steve Show. Well,
- 34:42Speaker 1: Jay is here. We're so happy when you're here with us. Jay,

- 35:14Speaker 1: is this is my newest book. This is my newest book.

- 35:52Speaker 1: and stay for free. That's chapter one. I can, oh
- 35:57Speaker 1: man that that that little chapter two kind of get
- 36:00Speaker 1: into some personal stuff that they think your house is storage.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Let me put something in your garage for a couple
- 36:07Speaker 1: of days. I mean it's been in there, ain't much now,
- 36:11Speaker 1: it ain't move, you know. Old. I don't even know
- 36:15Speaker 1: what it is myself. I didn't lift it up. I
- 36:17Speaker 1: don't know the chapter three, okay, this is if you
- 36:21Speaker 1: have a big house. Uh, ken folks get confused in

- 36:30Speaker 1: the daddy. What they don't understand is you're the granddaddy,
- 36:34Speaker 1: not the daddy. Daddy. Yeah, some of those problems, just
- 36:41Speaker 1: the personal some of those problems need to go to
- 36:43Speaker 1: the daddy, not the granddaddy. Okay, you need to go
- 36:47Speaker 1: right to the daddy. Okay, Oh, this is the chapter.

- 37:05Speaker 1: I do things that around kids. And when you come back,
- 37:11Speaker 1: he gonna have a whole different attitude if you lead
- 37:14Speaker 1: him here. Okay. If hen he gonna be a little
- 37:17Speaker 1: he gonna be hungry, it's gonna be sleepy. Yeah, you're
- 37:22Speaker 1: gonna come pick up a little atte in my new book.

- 40:22Speaker 1: is a good way to tell that you got to
- 40:24Speaker 1: be open minded now, because a closed mind is an
- 40:30Speaker 1: ignorant mind. True, true, that's true. A closed mind is
- 40:35Speaker 1: an ignorant mind. I have become a type of person
- 40:39Speaker 1: where I'm open to all my brothers assists. But let's
- 40:43Speaker 1: say church services over right, everybody comfortable. Now you have
- 40:49Speaker 1: to have the quiet and let out everybody's out out
- 40:52Speaker 1: the quid director it out is out of church. He

- 43:02Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Right about
- 43:04Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for today's subject
- 43:08Speaker 1: my little ugly boyfriend. But right now, nephew Tommy is
- 43:20Speaker 1: here with today's frank phone call what you guy for
- 43:23Speaker 1: his nev queen in the church, Van Jesus Queen in
- 43:30Speaker 1: the church in one more time when in the church.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Rain is what I got. That's it. Let's run it
- 43:40Speaker 1: weed in the church. Come on, Hello, I'm trying to
- 43:47Speaker 1: read Dan. Brother brother Dan. Hello, Hello him, because I'll
- 43:51Speaker 1: see that I'm trying to brother Dare brother Dan. Oh? Okay, Yeah,
- 43:58Speaker 1: this brother Scott from the church from Belt to Baptist. Hello, bro, Yeah,
- 44:03Speaker 1: I call you. I'm trying to get a little information
- 44:06Speaker 1: about the church band. What's what's your schedule? Uh? Will
- 44:09Speaker 1: you drive the church? Right? What's what's your schedule? I
- 44:13Speaker 1: drive it Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays. Okay, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday,
- 44:21Speaker 1: now Sunday? What what is that schedule? O? Sunday. I
- 44:25Speaker 1: usually start about eight o'clock in the morning, probably a
- 44:28Speaker 1: little earlier, depending on some of the elderly people that
- 44:31Speaker 1: I have to go pick up and bring to the church.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Make sure they get there okay, and get situated and
- 44:37Speaker 1: make sure they're on time for the service and whatnot. Okay,
- 44:41Speaker 1: and then you take them back home after service is over. Yes.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 44:47Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 44:49Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 44:50Speaker 1: to dinner on Sunday afterwards, but I usually get everybody
- 44:53Speaker 1: back home. Okay, okay, lad This class Sunday, which is
- 44:59Speaker 1: part of the reason why I'm calling you. Uh. They
- 45:02Speaker 1: saying that, um, some of the church uh numbers that
- 45:06Speaker 1: was on the vand this Sunday. Uh they are complaining,
- 45:11Speaker 1: saying that, um that the church van was smelling like
- 45:15Speaker 1: weed when they got on there. Excuse me, they say
- 45:19Speaker 1: the church van was smelling like weed when they got
- 45:23Speaker 1: on there, and you are the person that was driving them.
- 45:27Speaker 1: No, no no, no, no, no no, no no no, not not
- 45:28Speaker 1: the van that that I'm driving. I'm I don't no,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I don't. I ain't smoke weed, and no van, do
- 45:35Speaker 1: you smoke weed? No? I don't smoke weed. I mean
- 45:40Speaker 1: not Carl. I mean I have before, but I don't
- 45:42Speaker 1: smoke weed now and I wouldn't smoke weed before. Picking
- 45:45Speaker 1: Some people look to go to now where you from?
- 45:51Speaker 1: Who told you this? Well? All I knew is what what?
- 45:54Speaker 1: What's come down? The pipeline is? They saying that that
- 45:57Speaker 1: a couple of the nimbers came complaining. See this just
- 46:01Speaker 1: happened last week about this pipeline. I want to know
- 46:03Speaker 1: who the pipeline is, because just last week they came
- 46:07Speaker 1: at me talking about that I was using the van
- 46:09Speaker 1: to go places that I wanted to go to on
- 46:11Speaker 1: my personal time. Now I don't do that. I don't
- 46:13Speaker 1: do stuff like that. And now I have had a path,
- 46:15Speaker 1: I haven't had a history, but I don't do stuff
- 46:17Speaker 1: like that. And I wasn't smoking no church van. So
- 46:20Speaker 1: are you seriously talking about what? What? What? What? We're
- 46:24Speaker 1: trying to We're trying to get to the bottom of
- 46:25Speaker 1: it and see what's going on with you. Elderly person said,
- 46:30Speaker 1: do you know which one? I don't They loved me
- 46:33Speaker 1: every Sunday, didn't people tell me they loved me? Uh?
- 46:36Speaker 1: They say I'm one of the most respectful young gentlemen
- 46:38Speaker 1: they've ever met in their life. And so I really
- 46:40Speaker 1: find it hard to believe that you you you getting
- 46:43Speaker 1: these type of complaints about me. What I'm saying there,
- 46:46Speaker 1: like who we I don't know what that means or
- 46:48Speaker 1: nothing like that. Look, brothers, I don't know you too well,
- 46:52Speaker 1: and I know you don't know leave. But I've been
- 46:55Speaker 1: driving this van as as a point to try to
- 46:57Speaker 1: change my life and where I come from. So this
- 47:00Speaker 1: was something that I wanted to volunteer even though I'm
- 47:02Speaker 1: getting paid to give my time to do this for
- 47:05Speaker 1: the church. And now this is like the second instance
- 47:07Speaker 1: where y'all and came at me on some stuff about
- 47:10Speaker 1: like I'm trying to do something with this van. Now,
- 47:12Speaker 1: why I would I disrespect the church van by smoking
- 47:14Speaker 1: weed in it and then letting the weeds stay in
- 47:16Speaker 1: there so other people could smell it. Okay, so let
- 47:19Speaker 1: me tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna go
- 47:22Speaker 1: out here to the church man to say we're gonna
- 47:24Speaker 1: go out here today and open it up. Now, if
- 47:26Speaker 1: we see any seeds or anything around the driver's seat,
- 47:31Speaker 1: then then then we're gonna We're gonna definitely, uh point,
- 47:35Speaker 1: gonna open the van up. Man. I was raising that church. Man.
- 47:38Speaker 1: My mama go to that church, my grandma. See you
- 47:41Speaker 1: go to that church. See the reason we even all
- 47:43Speaker 1: let that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up
- 47:45Speaker 1: they ain't by driving around in the band full of
- 47:47Speaker 1: elderly people smoking weed. Blood. Dad, I don't know how
- 47:53Speaker 1: to the bad smell like weed, man, Now I don't.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I don't got the answers to these questions. I'm just
- 47:58Speaker 1: trying to tell you that it was me. Did you
- 48:00Speaker 1: have some weed in your part? I can admitted with
- 48:02Speaker 1: your smell it, I ain't had no weed on me.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Stop trying to say like I had weed on me

- 48:25Speaker 1: weed on them? No? We did, no, No, I didn't
- 48:31Speaker 1: think about it. No elderly people having no weed. So
- 48:34Speaker 1: you just assume it's me. What one of them? Guy

- 48:40Speaker 1: You know? Who? I think? What? Did you know? Who

- 51:35Speaker 1: buckle up, hold on tight, We got it for you here.
- 51:37Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. I love this title, my
- 51:41Speaker 1: little Ugly Boyfriend. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty one
- 51:45Speaker 1: year old single woman and I met the man of
- 51:47Speaker 1: my dreams two years ago on a dating website. He
- 51:51Speaker 1: lives in Tampa and I live in Philadelphia. A few
- 51:54Speaker 1: months after we met online, he came to visit me.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I immediately noticed that he lied about his height. He's short.
- 52:01Speaker 1: He is an inch or two shorter than me, and
- 52:04Speaker 1: I like tall men. I had hoped he looked a
- 52:07Speaker 1: little better than his pictures online, but he looks exactly
- 52:11Speaker 1: the same in person. He's not handsome at all. I
- 52:15Speaker 1: overlooked his height and the fact that he's not cute
- 52:18Speaker 1: because we have a lot in common. He's a hard
- 52:21Speaker 1: worker and a great single father. He is very kind,
- 52:25Speaker 1: and he loves the Lord. All of those things make
- 52:28Speaker 1: up for the fact that he is not exactly my type.
- 52:32Speaker 1: He's been back to visit me every other month, and
- 52:34Speaker 1: I have been to his home in Tampa. I met
- 52:37Speaker 1: his family and they are all supportive of our relationship.
- 52:40Speaker 1: So here's my dilemma. I have met his family, but
- 52:44Speaker 1: he still has not met mine. I've been making excuses
- 52:48Speaker 1: whenever he asked to meet them, and I made him
- 52:51Speaker 1: think they're all weird and crazy. But the truth is
- 52:55Speaker 1: they are very judgmental and they will talk about his
- 52:58Speaker 1: looks and his height. My mom's facial expressions are priceless,
- 53:02Speaker 1: and I know she won't be able to hide her
- 53:04Speaker 1: reaction if she meets him. I have told my family
- 53:08Speaker 1: about him and how good we are together, and they
- 53:10Speaker 1: already make jokes about me and my little ugly boyfriend.
- 53:14Speaker 1: They may be right, So I need your advice. Should
- 53:17Speaker 1: I be proud of this good man even if he
- 53:20Speaker 1: is ugly and short, or should I call it quits
- 53:22Speaker 1: now and stop wasting my time in this relationship? Well,
- 53:28Speaker 1: I don't see how you call yourself wasting your time.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I mean, you've been with him for two years. You
- 53:33Speaker 1: said that you guys have a lot in common. Maybe
- 53:36Speaker 1: he's not exactly your type, but he's very kind, he
- 53:39Speaker 1: loves the Lord. He's a great single father, he's a
- 53:41Speaker 1: hard worker. He has so many qualities that you like.
- 53:45Speaker 1: You've met his family, they're all supportive. This sounds like
- 53:49Speaker 1: a nice good man to me. I mean, and he's
- 53:52Speaker 1: with you. He's not with your family. If you guys
- 53:55Speaker 1: continue this and get married, he's marrying you, not your family.
- 53:58Speaker 1: You said he's the man of your dreams. That's what
- 54:01Speaker 1: you said. I mean, you guys have have been together
- 54:05Speaker 1: for two years already, and you know about his height.
- 54:09Speaker 1: You're no different, um, you know, from any other women women.
- 54:12Speaker 1: All the women I know just about like tall men.
- 54:15Speaker 1: A lot of men like tall women, so that's nothing unusual.
- 54:19Speaker 1: But he is one or two inches shorter than you,
- 54:23Speaker 1: and he's not handsome at all. Those are facts. You
- 54:26Speaker 1: put those in the letter. But even with all that,
- 54:28Speaker 1: you're still with him and meeting his family. You're visiting
- 54:33Speaker 1: each other's homes long distance and stuff. You've met his family,
- 54:36Speaker 1: This sounds pretty serious to me. You're just scared for
- 54:39Speaker 1: him to meet your family because you don't know how
- 54:41Speaker 1: they're going to react to him, if they're, you know,
- 54:45Speaker 1: going to make him feel some sort of way. Listen,
- 54:48Speaker 1: if you like this man and you want to be
- 54:50Speaker 1: with this man, this is your man, I mean, your
- 54:53Speaker 1: your family, So what are they going to say it
- 54:56Speaker 1: to his face? So what if they don't like him,
- 54:59Speaker 1: You like him and he treats you well and you
- 55:01Speaker 1: seem happy, you've been with him for two years. Don't
- 55:04Speaker 1: let your family, you know, make you miss out on
- 55:07Speaker 1: a good man. That's what I say. Steve Well unattractive
- 55:14Speaker 1: and short. Yeah, I must admit I thought the letter
- 55:21Speaker 1: was about somebody else. You know who the hell he
- 55:33Speaker 1: talking about? When you throw a rock, I'm the hell
- 55:40Speaker 1: with that. Y'all know who you're talking about? Sicking and rock.
- 55:46Speaker 1: And then we didn't hit this dog too many day time.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Y'all know what we're talking about, the only thing in
- 55:51Speaker 1: this ladder that through it all. He lives in Tampa
- 55:56Speaker 1: and I live it up to that, and thereafter I
- 56:04Speaker 1: was sending him mad. I couldn't haul it swallow. You're
- 56:10Speaker 1: not laughing, team, tell me A few months ago we
- 56:13Speaker 1: met online, came to visit me. I immediately noticed that
- 56:17Speaker 1: he lied about his height. Hello, Hello, Hello, How many
- 56:26Speaker 1: times he lied by his hands? Wait? Treated against it.
- 56:31Speaker 1: A few months after we met online, he came to
- 56:34Speaker 1: visit me. I immediately noticed that he lied about his life.
- 56:38Speaker 1: He shot good, Lord of Mighty. He is an interest.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Too shorter than me, and I like tall men. Hell,
- 56:47Speaker 1: he do too prod. I hoped he looked a little
- 56:52Speaker 1: bit better than his picture on lad but he looked
- 56:54Speaker 1: exactly like the same person. Then y'all ain't telling me
- 57:02Speaker 1: why overlooked his fight. I overlooked his height and the
- 57:09Speaker 1: fact that he ain't cute because we got a lot incoming,
- 57:13Speaker 1: hard work, great single father, he's very kind, he loves
- 57:18Speaker 1: your Lord. All these things make up for the fact
- 57:22Speaker 1: that he's not my type. He's been back to visit
- 57:26Speaker 1: me every other month. I've been to his home in Tampa.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I met his family. They all supportive of the relationship.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Here's the dilemma she got now she hadn't met his family,
- 57:36Speaker 1: but he ain't met head. She'd been making all types
- 57:39Speaker 1: of excuses why they don't need to meet him. Because
- 57:42Speaker 1: the truth is the family that she in his judgmental
- 57:45Speaker 1: they're gonna talk about his looks and his height. Hold
- 57:48Speaker 1: that thought, Steve, Hold that thought. You can look up
- 57:52Speaker 1: one day and this boy be on TV. Someone. We'll
- 57:58Speaker 1: response coming up between three after the hour, subject my
- 58:02Speaker 1: little ugly boyfriend. We'll be back right after this. You're
- 58:06Speaker 1: listening morning show? All right, Steve, come on, let's recap
- 58:11Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letters. Subject my little ugly boyfriend. Boy, I'm
- 58:18Speaker 1: going to the bathroom. No, I'm going to the bathroom.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Go together? Women? Do we need on this case? We
- 58:29Speaker 1: need to leave. We don't need to hear this. That
- 58:32Speaker 1: ain't a good look. Fellas, don't go together. This lady's
- 58:40Speaker 1: been met this man online. They've actually been dating now
- 58:45Speaker 1: for two years. She'd have met his family, that went
- 58:48Speaker 1: down to temple. He ain't met hers. He comes by,
- 58:52Speaker 1: it comes up there every other moment. He's god fearing,
- 58:56Speaker 1: hard working, he's a wonderful single parent, saying all the
- 59:02Speaker 1: right things. I ain't heard nobody mentioned love in this,
- 59:07Speaker 1: but I'm assuming you know, it's got to be some feelings. Hell.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Problem she got is he's a little shorter than he promised,
- 59:17Speaker 1: and he's ugly. So I think we get need to
- 59:21Speaker 1: get down to this. When you say, my little ugly boyfriend,
- 59:29Speaker 1: how ugly were talking about? See, this is what we
- 59:34Speaker 1: gotta get into. Okay, it's my little ugly boyfrield Are
- 59:40Speaker 1: you saying he all ugly? Is he shockingly ugly? She
- 59:47Speaker 1: would have said that is he? Good lord? Ugly? Is he?
- 59:55Speaker 1: I'd be damned? Ugly? Is Is he that type? Ugly?
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Is he just sound effect? Ugly? Sound effect? Ugly is
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: different kind of ugly? Like when you see him and
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: you go, ah, here's another sound effect ugly. Mm hmm,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: that's it. That's you got another sound another sound effect ugly.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with that one. See who doggy? Get one?
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I got one face sound? Yeah? Here going one right here?
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I see you what see? So we need to determine
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: do that one again? I see your b and when
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: your mouth gave wid wow, I see your boy who Now,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: if he's really ugly? We have a couple of situations
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: because we have to think this through. Because he's thirty one,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: so you're young. Here's the danger is not meeting your family.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Here's the danger. This could turn into marriage and some kids. Yeah,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I know it now even though lady, you you know
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: where near ugly? Oh but he is, so there's a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: chance that the baby it's gonna have some of him.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Only now, Once again, it depends on how ugly he is.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Do you want to do this to the baby? That's
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: the question? Oh yeah, do you want to do this
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: to the baby? Anybody? If I've seen it up close,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: you don't know what the glo gonna do it? Girl,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: you can look up being a mansion somewhere. Girl, you
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: better recognize it. Don't don't don't stare his gift horse
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: in the mouth, and don't take advantage of Timmy. You
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: want to say anything, I ain't What the hell? Why
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: are you asking? Tommy? I got a shoulder knight gonna
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: do right now? I don't know me ask him a
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: comment on intable? So cool? Put you up to do
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: with me? I know? I know a dog. I'm not.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: It ain't about you, but you might. Couldn't help Paul.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I can't help nobody. I'm too tall. I wait, Tommy,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: what what did your girlfriend say when they took you
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: home to good It's a handsome young man that you
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: brought it, a very handsome young man. If you brought
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: home dollar. Okay, all right, we gotta go. Please post
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: your comments. Tommy, when you went over Horrendou's house, remember
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: when you said her mama busted out laughing. It wouldn't stop.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I want to as soon. That's what I because I
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: what I had on, not my height. It ain't hadn't
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: do my height or me being ugly, but they wouldn't
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: for that. All right, I gotta break in here. Guy,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: your head, you have my shirt on that time. Please

- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Letter podcast on demand coming up at forty six after
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: the hour. We'll come right back with more of the
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the show. All right, guys, it is time for comedy roulette.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Let's go, guys. It's very simple. You take three sepjects.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You put those three sebjects on a wheel, spun the
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: wheel where it stop. We'll make it funny because that's
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: what we do. Put it all right here we go.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Things you say when your baby mama calls asking for
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: money again? Number two excuses people make not to chip
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: in on gas money when you're on a road trip.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Here's the last one. All right, reasons you give to
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: not look a person in the eye, alright, spunnet, spunnet,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: give me that gas, pipping it on the gas? That
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: reason do you give to not look a person in
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: the eye? Good reason. I can tell you right now
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: why sometimes you can't look at person. Now. You know
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: how people wear them glasses, and they went them tight
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: on their face and to be swept down in the lids.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: You can't look at that. You can't look it'd be
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: sweat down at the bottom. You can't look at that.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: We can't do it. It'd be all sweaty in the lids.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I can't look down. When I tell you, I'll tell
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: you the reason why you can't look people in the eye.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Because it's missing. That's why I can't look you in
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the eye. Because let's go, what happened? I can't see
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: I don't know why if it's missing. I'll tell you
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: why you can't look somebody in the eye. We just
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: got through having hard, hard, steaming sex. I really can't
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: look at you now, I can't you just what we
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: just did for real, what we just did you can't
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: make no one contact. We're talking about reason why you
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: can't look a person in the eye. Cast a breath, stink.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: If I'm looking in your eyes, that means my head
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: is up. And this is too much reason. You can't
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: look a person in the eye because for some reason
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: you thought it would be cool to shave off your
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: eyebris and drawing them all up toward your forehead. You're saying, hum, yeah,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: I think I tell you what he is. Another white
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: can't look people of the eye because when when you're
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: sitting in a corner by yourself and what nobody salt
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to you. That's because it's a strong body, older coming
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: directors from you. I ain't nobody to look at you.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you guys for today's version of
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Comedy Roulette. Coming up, We'll have more of the Steve
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this. You're listening
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. A new study from
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: UM what is the Scriven's Hearing Care Okay, They looked
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: at two thousand adults, okay, two thousand grown people. Research
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: shows that at least seven times a week, men have
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: selective hearing in all. In all men don't hear their
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: spouse three hundred and eighty eight times in the course
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: of a year. Women are two though, that's a lot, right,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: that's a lot. Three hundred and eighty eight times in
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the course of a year. That's low. That's losty here
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: yet the average well right now, you're only talking a
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: little over once a date. That's an average of once
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: a date. Okay, okay, so that ain't Yeah, that's not
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: so bad. That's not so bad. No, I tune that way.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: You got to tune it out the same thing, him,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: What is y'all talking? Listen? Wait? Wait what man? We
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: just talked about that for fifteen minutes, because two hours
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you make the same twenty minute point for two hours
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: and wake up the next morning. Were still talking about that? Man?
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Move on? What man? I'm hearing you, but I ain't
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: listening no more. Man, Did you hear what I said
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: about letting out at the job? Why are we still
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: talking about Linda? I'm sorry, ladies, but that's that thing,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: right that? That's true? Yeah, we do have selected here.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: So but it sounds like you guys are responsing to nagging.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: That's a difference, right is if you is it all
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: the same to you. No, you know, because if you're talking,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: if you're talking too much. Mh, I'm just saying yeah,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: which is often ter so it could be about anything
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: just the sound of my voice that you just start
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: too then out after a while that's for you. What
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: are you? Well? You know what? That's okay. You're puffing
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: and puffing about because you're talking about the same thing
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: what I'm asking you about this survey though you're not answering.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Uh No, I'm talking about this period. You're talking about
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: the same thing. And then I can tell its body
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: because I look on Facebook. Now you're posting stuff way
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: that is man shared over to social media social media.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Now you're getting thousand eightmens on the damn what Yeah,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: but let it see. I think I think it is
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: a problem, and I think women could admit to this one,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: because yes, men do have selective hearing, and we've had
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: to developed that over the course of time, because we've
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: and more and more, we've developed more and more selective hearing.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Because if there's a slight difference in us, women vent
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: differently than men. And when women around each other talker
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: to their girlfriends, you all have more of a tendency
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: to talk about a subject from every angle. You turn
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: it over. You all can discuss one subject for hours.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Men don't do that. We have a debate, somebody wins, loses,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: We have a strong debate, then we laugh or we fight,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: and then it's over. You all keep talking about it.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: And once, once a man has made all the points
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: he can make. Your point is irrelevant. At this point.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: We've heard it already. We don't agree with it, so
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: we shut you out, and we all every every man
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: trying to do that. Yeah, yeah, we can want to
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: get it into your face and not be hearing nothing
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: you saying, wait what say again? I can look dead
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: in your face and not be hearing nothing you saying,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: be looking dead at your mouth? Are you listening? Are
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: you listening to me? A girl? Yeah? Did you hear
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: what I just said? Schedule off. We'll schedule of how
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: many times Marjorie to looked at me and said, what Steve?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: What did I just say? What? Did repeat what I say?
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: That's as you heard? You women are guilty. Team, they don't.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I'll be trying to think about what the he's three times? Oh,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: we do it too. We tune y'all out, all right,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: coming up music and fun on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: We'll be back in twenty minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: after this you're listening Morning Show. There's another question for
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: you guys, what foods? Now? Think about this one? What
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: foods did your mom make you when you were sick
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: as a kid? All right, there's some foods that always
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: remind us of being sick when we were a kid.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: And you know, the standard, of course is chicken soup.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: So is there one food or is there one soup
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: that reminds you of being sick when you were a kid?
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Or which did your mom make for you? Um that
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: you make for your kids? Now? How about that one? Oh,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: I can't do that after my kids. What I can't
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: do that. My mama made me a hot tiddy would
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: have shot at Jack bangers in it. I can't do
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: that to my kids. I can't put that in there.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I'm with Jim. I couldn't do that. My mama would
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: take that Vick's vapor up and put it in some
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: tea and make you drink that. And it says on
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the bottom, don't not swallow it said that right on
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the bottom. They don't give you. Still you didn't have
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: a called anymore, did you still? Wow? We had um
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: castro oil. I had to take cast oil with orange. Yeah,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: what's the oranges for nothing? Put that BIG's vapor up
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: on your chest, all on your chests when you in
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: my nose? Yeah, yeah, I'll say. You know what the
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: standard was soup And it was always like apple juice.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: You had to drink like clear clear liquids and ginger.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: All right, more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening string show. Jay
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: is here. We're so happy when you're here with us. Jay.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: That means you're healthy and good. Uh and and I
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: don't know where you find the time, but apparently you've
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: written another book, another book. Ye, what is your age?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Was that time? What was that? I? Love? That love
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: by eleven? I got eleven. But this is this is
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: my newest book. This is my newest book. The name
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: of the book is it's very catchy. You'll catch on this.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Sometimes ken folks ain't work for damn or you can
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: use the S word. That's the title of the One
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: More Time. Sometimes ken folks ain't worth for damn, or
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: you can use the S word. So that's the title.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: That's the title of the book. And it's several chapters
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: in there that everybody who has ken folks can relate to.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: In the my new book calls sometimes can folks ain't
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: worth damn? You can use it for chapter one, just
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: because you got a big house, they they can show
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: up and stay for free. That's chapter one. Oh man,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: that that daddy. Chapter two, I kind of get into
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: some personal stuff that they think your house is storage.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Let me put something in your garage for a couple
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: of days. I mean, it's been in there, ain't much now,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: it ain't move. You know the old pod. I don't
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: even know what it is myself. I didn't live it up.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I don't know the chapter three, Okay, this is if
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: you have a big house. Uh. Can folk get confused
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: in a new book? Sometimes can folk for damn? And
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: you can use the S word. They think they think
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you're the daddy. What they don't understand is you're the granddaddy,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: not the daddy. Daddy. Some of those problems, this is personal.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: Some of those problems need to go to the daddy,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: not the granddaddy. You need to go right to the daddy. Okay, Oh,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: this chapter if you my book, my new book called
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: sometimes can, folks, don't for damn or you can use
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: the S word. I don't think you're a bad guy.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: If you don't babysit, I don't baby sit. Okay, I
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: smoke things. I do things that around kids. And and
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: when you come back, he gonna have a whole different
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: attitude if you leave him here. Okay, if he gonna
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: he gonna be little, he gonna be hungry, gonna be sleepy, big. Yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: you're gonna come pick up a little at in my
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: new book. In my new book, sometimes can with a damn,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: or you can use the sword they think you a
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: finance company. That's my book. That's my book, several chapters
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: and then to be out soon. Uh, sometimes can't put
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: them damn or you can use the word check it
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: out in my new book. Yeah, and I will bet
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: it's gonna be gonna all right, Steve, coming up our
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: last break of the day closing remarks. Right after this
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, here we are last break
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: of the day. It's been a crazy day as usual.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: The time we like right, and here's our fearless leader
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: to take us home with closing remarks. You know what again,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: I like to use things that are happening to me
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: in my life to encourage people that might be going
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: through some of the same things in theirs. It's just
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: a couple of piece of encouragements I got this week.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: So many people have reached out to me man given
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: me love. It's far ways anything else that's going on
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: in my life. I'm actually surrounded by a lot of
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: love and prayers, and I'm actually actually really not even
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: privy to a lot of the swirl that goes around me.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Like I was saying the other day, God's peace keeps
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: me in the center of the hurricane, and I do
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: understand that there's a swirl going on out there, but
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: it's none of my business. I can't stop the swirld,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: but I cannot participate in the swirld. And by not
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: participating in it nor acknowledging it, it has it has
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: no room with me. If you stay the center of
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: the hurricane and the swirl is going around you, if
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you're gonna stay, if you don't step out into the swirld,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: you stay in the center it's peaceful in the eye
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: of hurricane. The problem is when you get caught up
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: in the world. A couple of people sent me something.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I'm going to share a couple of them with you.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: You talk about people in your life that you need
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: to kind of get rid of. Somebody sent this to me, says,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: sometimes people have to be escorted out of the VIP
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: section in your life and you just have to put
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: them in regular seats. Sometimes people have to be escorted
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: out the VIP section of your life and you just
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: have to put them in some regular seats. Sometimes we
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: place too much importance on people, period and we give
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: so much people so much importance that they now have
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: a say so, they have authority, they got ruled, They
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: get comfortable all of a sudden day in a position
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: and they don't even really mean. There's no good so
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: now here they are they in your life. You then
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: gave them permission to sit in the VIP section. But
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: you know, sometimes you need to escort them out. You say,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: you know what, you're no longer welcome in the VRP section.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: You could take a seat right over here. Those are
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: only seats that's available. I got the view. Ain't that good?
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: From over here, But those are the only seats that's
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: available in my arena. As a matter of fact, security,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: could you escort them out? Please? See what I don't
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: do is I can't stop some people. I just I
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: let people sit up in the stands and say what
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: they want to say, because they're not on my stage
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: in my life. You're not on the same stage I'm on.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: So why do I allow your insults from in back
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: of the room that I can't hardly nobody here but
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you and your little fourteen followers. So I've learned that
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: that the credit belongs to the man who is actually
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: in the arena, whose face is marred with dust, blood, sweat,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: and tears, not to those cold and timid souls in
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: the stands who know neither victory nor defeat. I lived
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: like that, all right. Next thing I'm gonna share with you,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna share with you something about somebody told me
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: about trusting in God. And this is what they sent me.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: And this is really nice, and it says I asked
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: for strength, and God gave me different culties to make
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: me strong. I asked for wisdom, and God gave me
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: problems to solve. I asked for prosperity, and God gave
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: me brain and braun to work. I asked for courage
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: and God gave me danger to overcome. I asked for
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: love and God gave me troubled people to help. I
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: asked for favors and God gave me opportunities. I've received
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: nothing I wanted. I received everything I needed. Trust in God.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Do you know how rich those words were to me
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: today that someone sent to me, Because what that's says
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to me with Steve, you gotta trust the process. Man,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I don't care how it looks. What you're asking for.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: God is working on your behalf. Now. It might not
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: look that good to some people. It might not even
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: look that good to you. I would imagine those on
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the outside looking in this look kind of crazy. But
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: you have no idea the what God is working. So
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: when you ask God for strifth, and then God give
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: you a bunch of difficulties, guess what to make you stronger?
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: So you ask God for wisdom and God give you
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: problems to solve. You asking for prosperity, God give you
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: a brain and some braun to go to work. I
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: ask for courage and God gave me danger to overcome.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: I ask for love, and God turn around and gave
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: me troubled people to hell. What is this? I ask
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: for favors and God turn around give me opportunities. I've
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: received nothing I wanted, but I received everything I needed.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: You got to trust in God, man. You got to
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: trust in the process. Y'all. We are all in the
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: middle of the process. We're being processed. God ain't through
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: with none of us. God ain't through with you yet.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Do you know if God was through with you that
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: you wouldn't wake up in the morning. But as long
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: as you're waking up to put a smile on your face,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: because I mean, He ain't through with us. Man. God
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: is processing us. We all in the process. You got
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to trust the process that God knows what he's doing.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I'm over here grinning because of that. Cool because guess what,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I know. He's working on my behalf. You know why,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: because he processing me. You know why he processing me
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: because He ain't through with me yet. He ain't through
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: with you either. Those are my clothes on remarks. Y'all,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: have a good weekend. I bet you I will drop it.
