- 1:17Speaker 1: I love this lady because I'm I gotta, I gotta
- 1:22Speaker 1: bring up. Let me introduce everybody to tell everybody who
- 1:24Speaker 1: I love. Okay, my neck guest is a celebrity chef,
- 1:28Speaker 1: bam My morning talk show hosts on Food Networks, the
- 1:32Speaker 1: kitchen author of Sonny's Kitchen, Hand Hand Easy Food for
- 1:36Speaker 1: Real Life, and an entrepreneur. Because we're gonna talk about
- 1:38Speaker 1: this in infladium, please welcome to Money Making Conversation Sonny Anderson.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Thank good morning. Thanks for having me. Hey, that was
- 1:47Speaker 1: a nice introduction. Okay, first of all, yours, you're all
- 1:52Speaker 1: you're special because I watch you with TV. To take
- 1:56Speaker 1: all this stuff, it's almost um. When I see your TV,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I'm jealous because she's so natural on TV. You know,
- 2:03Speaker 1: you're you know, you know, it's like it's like it's
- 2:05Speaker 1: like watching the person who's I don't care if I
- 2:07Speaker 1: see you on any TV show where she's making food.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It's almost like I'm watching you in your kitchen at
- 2:12Speaker 1: the house, hanging out with your mom, your best friend,
- 2:16Speaker 1: your cousin, the nieces and nephews. There's a skill set
- 2:20Speaker 1: that you have, Sonny, I admire for you and I'm jealous. Well, listen,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm that is a huge compliment because I feel like,
- 2:33Speaker 1: you know, when I watched TV and I have my favorites,
- 2:35Speaker 1: they feel like people that I'm just hanging out with
- 2:38Speaker 1: maybe I want to go get a beer with or
- 2:41Speaker 1: you know, just like be cool with. Um. So it's
- 2:44Speaker 1: cool to I give that vibe off. But I always
- 2:47Speaker 1: tell people and they say they love to hang out
- 2:49Speaker 1: with me. I am so boring, Like the best name
- 2:54Speaker 1: for me are um. You know, like no shower, no errands,
- 2:59Speaker 1: no nothing. I just sitting, you know, watch TV or
- 3:02Speaker 1: cook and hang out with the dogs and the cats.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Now what do you just care? Where are you based at? So?
- 3:08Speaker 1: I live in New Jersey now, um and for since
- 3:12Speaker 1: two thousand one. Up until about two years ago, I
- 3:16Speaker 1: lived in New York and in Brooklyn. So I'm just
- 3:19Speaker 1: kind of like New York and Jason now and loving
- 3:21Speaker 1: it absolutely. There's nothing wrong with living in New Jersey
- 3:24Speaker 1: and community. It's awesome. Now here's the thing about your talents.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And then we're going to talk about this, uh this
- 3:32Speaker 1: nacho that I'm gonna make for my Super Bowl, We're
- 3:35Speaker 1: gonna talk about that. We're gonna talk about them. They're
- 3:37Speaker 1: gonna talk about all this. But I want to talk
- 3:38Speaker 1: about Sunny right now. You know the radio DJ Sonny,
- 3:42Speaker 1: the Air Force Sonny. You know this background that I
- 3:45Speaker 1: knew nothing about. They like to bring up, bring up
- 3:48Speaker 1: on the show as why I give everybody two breaks.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I want to learn a little bit about the person.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Uh let them know that you just just pop up
- 3:54Speaker 1: and suddenly start cooking on national TV. There's a journey
- 3:57Speaker 1: to that, So tell us a little history about the
- 3:59Speaker 1: Air Force. Was the transitioning from from the radio all
- 4:03Speaker 1: the way to catering and then then the celebrity chef status. Yeah, so,
- 4:08Speaker 1: I mean, I think you're right. There's a journey, um
- 4:11Speaker 1: to wherever we are in the present, especially if it's
- 4:14Speaker 1: a present and I feel like I'm living in a
- 4:15Speaker 1: present every day. Um. I started right out of high
- 4:19Speaker 1: school in the Air Force because I wanted to be
- 4:21Speaker 1: in broadcasting, in journalism because it was what I was
- 4:24Speaker 1: focused on in high school. Uh, and so when I
- 4:27Speaker 1: got into the Air Force, I trained for that and
- 4:31Speaker 1: became a broadcaster journalist in the Air Force, and very simply,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know, knew that I wanted to do more. When
- 4:36Speaker 1: I got out of the military after four years, Um,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I just continued in radio. And you know, um, you
- 4:43Speaker 1: can't do anything unless you're ready to move or at
- 4:46Speaker 1: you're lucky enough. Um, you know, you're at what we
- 4:50Speaker 1: call it a heritage job where you're from the city
- 4:52Speaker 1: and you get to kind of really grow your roots
- 4:54Speaker 1: in that city and become major. So not being from
- 4:57Speaker 1: anywhere as a military brad, my choice lef to move
- 5:00Speaker 1: around get my resume up so I could get to
- 5:03Speaker 1: New York, and I think Leake did in two thousand one. So, um,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you know I got here. I was doing what I
- 5:09Speaker 1: was always doing in other cities and other places I lived,
- 5:12Speaker 1: which is you know, eating and feeding myself. And um,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you know, as a single person, you bring that food
- 5:18Speaker 1: to work, the leftovers, whether it's cookies or if it's
- 5:21Speaker 1: the other half of the meat loaf. And I just
- 5:24Speaker 1: started finding that that was my calling card. You know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: people expected me to show up with food, and um
- 5:30Speaker 1: that really just um, you know, snowballed into a catering
- 5:34Speaker 1: business because so many people kept asking, and um, after
- 5:38Speaker 1: I was charging for just the groceries, and I thought
- 5:40Speaker 1: people would stop asking because I charged them for the food.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You know, it just got to the point where people said, oh,
- 5:47Speaker 1: there's a price for this, sure, And so I turned
- 5:49Speaker 1: it into a caring company. Talked about it on my
- 5:52Speaker 1: radio show when I was on Radio New York. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: that's how Food Network found me through m Oral Legassi. So, uh,
- 6:00Speaker 1: you know a lot of like choices and and trials
- 6:03Speaker 1: and tribulations and journeys in between you know, there and here, um,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and I would argue that there's still another here to
- 6:10Speaker 1: get to, and I'm there right now. So I think
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's always like a journey of chasing goals and dreams
- 6:17Speaker 1: and um, hopefully they pan out, and if they don't,
- 6:20Speaker 1: you have a couple more ideas on the back burner. Yeah,
- 6:23Speaker 1: because I feel you could act. I feel you are
- 6:26Speaker 1: a very talented They feel you have communic chops. I
- 6:30Speaker 1: feel that if you wanted to, you could start on
- 6:32Speaker 1: your own sitcom. That's funny you to say that, because
- 6:36Speaker 1: maybe about three or four years ago. Uh, quiets kept
- 6:39Speaker 1: because I like to practice not talking about things until
- 6:42Speaker 1: they happen, just in case they don't. And it didn't. Um.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I had a sitcom deal that was going to be
- 6:48Speaker 1: about my life and my career with a major UM
- 6:52Speaker 1: production house. Then we had an awesome UM pilot written
- 6:58Speaker 1: by Ali Leroy, you did Everybody Hates Chris and so
- 7:02Speaker 1: many other excellent productions, and we just didn't get picked up.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It wasn't the right timing, um um. And so I'm
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know, you move on. It's still in the back
- 7:11Speaker 1: of my head to you know, reboot that idea. Maybe
- 7:15Speaker 1: it'll be better timing later on. But UM, I don't know.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I you know, I couldn't. I think I could be
- 7:20Speaker 1: myself right, which is what I was gonna do in
- 7:22Speaker 1: that series. But I don't think I could. After watching
- 7:25Speaker 1: the SAG Award last night, you know, Uh, someone said
- 7:29Speaker 1: of the SAG Awards, Uh, the actor's really their biggest
- 7:32Speaker 1: job is to get up there and be liars. It's
- 7:34Speaker 1: really hard for me to to lie, you know what
- 7:37Speaker 1: I mean. It's like I see myself being someone else
- 7:40Speaker 1: when I would send in you know, audition tapes. It's
- 7:42Speaker 1: like who is that girl? So I don't know, let's
- 7:45Speaker 1: stop stop right this madness here. Your your talent are total.
- 7:50Speaker 1: You're mad at because you're talented and your casual. But
- 7:53Speaker 1: but here's the point. I wanted to point out something
- 7:55Speaker 1: about I always tell people the money that you're making
- 7:57Speaker 1: your thirties and your forties and your fifties and later
- 8:00Speaker 1: on in life, it's a skill that you developed in
- 8:02Speaker 1: your twenties. And so now I understand why she's so
- 8:06Speaker 1: natural and so casual on TV because when she was
- 8:09Speaker 1: bringing food to her job and she was developing that
- 8:13Speaker 1: little skill set on how to talk and how to
- 8:15Speaker 1: share and how to make little notes, and then she
- 8:18Speaker 1: carried out to radio, she just I would say, like radio,
- 8:21Speaker 1: if he's done really well, is is uh? Is reality?
- 8:25Speaker 1: It is theater, it's it's it's it's visual. If you're
- 8:28Speaker 1: doing it really well, you absolutely conceptualize at the moment.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Is beyond the music. That's why mudic video is so
- 8:35Speaker 1: popular at one time, because the people actually saw songs
- 8:38Speaker 1: tied to a vision and a vision a video. And
- 8:42Speaker 1: so so when you were doing those early stages of
- 8:44Speaker 1: bringing food to work and people go, oh, what's that
- 8:47Speaker 1: sunny oh girl, this is this, this is he's not Jill.
- 8:51Speaker 1: This this sandwich, this this cake. I pulled it out
- 8:53Speaker 1: of the oven and it was really and then she's
- 8:56Speaker 1: going she going to radio and say the same thing.
- 8:58Speaker 1: So those skills were honed and developed when you was
- 9:03Speaker 1: at the radio station and you was in your twenties.
- 9:05Speaker 1: And so now I'm telling you I a would tell
- 9:09Speaker 1: people on my show listen to me. Sometimes when people
- 9:11Speaker 1: develop their resumes, they don't go back into their resumes
- 9:15Speaker 1: and understand that you can actually move further faster if
- 9:18Speaker 1: you go back to the early stages or resume and
- 9:20Speaker 1: find out exactly what you were doing, because that's what
- 9:23Speaker 1: you should be doing right now. Well, yeah, you know.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Also there's so many different skill sets, and I think
- 9:30Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do for a living, which is
- 9:32Speaker 1: share my excitement about things with others and still be
- 9:36Speaker 1: able to pay my own bills with it. Right. So, um,
- 9:39Speaker 1: you know, at one point, I'm in the military. I
- 9:41Speaker 1: love the military. I share the military story as I'm
- 9:44Speaker 1: in the military. Um. And then when I'm in radio,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I talked about things I like pop culture and music artists,
- 9:51Speaker 1: things that I love food as well. Right, and then
- 9:54Speaker 1: when I get to TV, I can talk about the
- 9:57Speaker 1: food and the travels to get to the food, and
- 10:00Speaker 1: and so I always feel like I'm sharing, but I'm
- 10:02Speaker 1: also selling an idea. And so when I was out
- 10:05Speaker 1: of work between radio and television, UM, the first job
- 10:09Speaker 1: I looked for with sales because I know if I
- 10:11Speaker 1: like something, I can sell you on it. And so
- 10:13Speaker 1: I think a lot of times people think that a
- 10:15Speaker 1: direct line is what happens in a career, and sometimes
- 10:18Speaker 1: you have to look at that resume and say to yourself,
- 10:21Speaker 1: but what are the skills within the skills that I
- 10:24Speaker 1: could do elsewhere? And after I did sales at a
- 10:26Speaker 1: radio station, I went to go do um loan sales.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You know, I just feel like I can convince people
- 10:33Speaker 1: sometimes so well you can you convince me every time
- 10:38Speaker 1: every TV show you on, my eyes go to you
- 10:41Speaker 1: is so um, even when there's other players, talented people,
- 10:44Speaker 1: just because you just come across so that don't lose
- 10:47Speaker 1: that quality. That's why I've been I've been fortunate to
- 10:50Speaker 1: cast and uh and and produced a tremendous a lot
- 10:54Speaker 1: of talented people. And as as as Kim Whitley said,
- 10:58Speaker 1: I discovered her and so UH and I claim I
- 11:01Speaker 1: discovered Gabrielle Union too on so I'm claiming. I'm claiming that.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I'm claiming it. So I have to claim I discovered
- 11:07Speaker 1: you because you're out there and you just know that
- 11:09Speaker 1: you're winning because you're being yourself. And if you lose,
- 11:14Speaker 1: if you lose, if you lose, if you're not gonna
- 11:18Speaker 1: be yourself and you're and you're being yourself. And so
- 11:21Speaker 1: my whole thing is that I, um, I'm gonna wanna
- 11:24Speaker 1: be I'm gonna want to be baker, I'm gonna want
- 11:26Speaker 1: to be radio guy. I'm gonna want to be a
- 11:29Speaker 1: motivated I'm gonna want to be and and I understand
- 11:32Speaker 1: that ability and me because I master the ability to
- 11:36Speaker 1: change and you do it on a regular basis and
- 11:39Speaker 1: it's so natural to you. Now, I just finished my
- 11:41Speaker 1: eyes since it's since your celebrity Chef, I just finished
- 11:44Speaker 1: my baker spotlight um recipe contest this past Sunday while
- 11:48Speaker 1: I searched the country and all that for the best
- 11:51Speaker 1: new baker that's unknown, and you got this Sunny's touchdown
- 11:55Speaker 1: Nacho's Now okay, now I'll just let you know your
- 11:59Speaker 1: your boy. I just had to put my little resume
- 12:01Speaker 1: in front of you, just just in case you thought
- 12:03Speaker 1: I was just a regular old DJ on money making comments.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Takes your backing, bake some scales. Okay. Now I want
- 12:12Speaker 1: to post this on my because of you know, Chef Jamika,
- 12:16Speaker 1: she's one of every Wednesday. Every Wednesday she posts on
- 12:19Speaker 1: my Facebook page whatever she wants to post, every absolutely,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and so I want to post this on my Do
- 12:26Speaker 1: you have an image of this because I want to
- 12:28Speaker 1: post it like this. I have seven hundred and forty
- 12:31Speaker 1: thousand Facebook followers, and let you know your boy got followers. Okay,
- 12:37Speaker 1: so I want to be able to support you. But
- 12:39Speaker 1: when we come back, I want to talk about the inflatium.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I want to tell everybody was in that Sunny's touchdown
- 12:44Speaker 1: nachos because she's my favorite person in the cooking industry.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I got my ball also out there. Uh, Jeff, you
- 12:51Speaker 1: know if he's if he if I don't say his name,
- 12:53Speaker 1: he's gonna get mad at me too. Now, Amber Real,
- 12:56Speaker 1: you get mad at me too. We'll be right back
- 12:58Speaker 1: with more Sunny Anderson. We'll be right back with more
- 13:04Speaker 1: from mar Sean McDonald and money making conversations. Don't touch
- 13:06Speaker 1: that down. Well we're back from Well, we are back
- 13:13Speaker 1: with money making conversation on the phone is celebrity share Morney,
- 13:16Speaker 1: talk show host or food Networks The Kitchen Arthur Sunny's Kitchen,
- 13:19Speaker 1: easy food for real life and entrepreneur. This week is
- 13:22Speaker 1: super Bowl week. And if you're gonna do, if you
- 13:24Speaker 1: don't have, if you're gonna have a talented personal they're
- 13:27Speaker 1: gonna talk about food, you gotta have Sonny on the phone.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Sonny tell us about this. Uh Sunny's touchdown nachos. That's
- 13:34Speaker 1: gonna be posting Rashaw McDon social media this week with
- 13:36Speaker 1: a photo. Indeed, well, you know, uh, if that someone
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'm talking about food and sports, I might be the
- 13:44Speaker 1: right person because I love votes. Thank you for having
- 13:47Speaker 1: me on so honored anytime anyone wants to talk to
- 13:50Speaker 1: me around sports, because as you know, for many years,
- 13:53Speaker 1: people wouldn't even assume a woman was into it. So
- 13:56Speaker 1: I am into sports and into eating sports. Food and
- 14:00Speaker 1: nachos are just where you want to start, either that
- 14:02Speaker 1: or a hot dog, you know what I mean. So
- 14:04Speaker 1: the nachos like there, there's some I call myself basic
- 14:07Speaker 1: a lot of times because they're just so simple. I
- 14:09Speaker 1: feel like if someone wanted to make these ultimate nachos,
- 14:12Speaker 1: they just go over the top of things, and sometimes
- 14:15Speaker 1: the smallest things make a difference. And so um. From
- 14:18Speaker 1: the time that I was in Texas growing up, the
- 14:21Speaker 1: chase part of the nachos, it's simple. It is a
- 14:24Speaker 1: block of process and a jar of SALTA. But what
- 14:28Speaker 1: I like to do that it's a little bit uh different,
- 14:30Speaker 1: and it adds so much flavor. Is add some humans,
- 14:33Speaker 1: some ground humans to that cheese sock. And then for
- 14:37Speaker 1: like the meat layer. Um, I'll mix up the thereso
- 14:41Speaker 1: and up the ground chuck together, and so you have
- 14:46Speaker 1: kind of like the flavor going on as well as
- 14:51Speaker 1: you know that meaty chew that you want from the beef. UM.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So they kind of really marry well together. And then
- 14:57Speaker 1: everything else is just kind of like, well, you want
- 14:59Speaker 1: some salon trow, you want some red onions, you want
- 15:02Speaker 1: some sour cream, everything, everything, Yeah, everything is piled on top.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I think the most important thing about any nachos is
- 15:09Speaker 1: proper layering. I don't care what sauces and what kind
- 15:12Speaker 1: of meats you have on it. If the top is
- 15:14Speaker 1: all wet and the bottom is all dry, come on
- 15:17Speaker 1: you at the bottom and you don't have nothing on it.
- 15:18Speaker 1: You don't have nothing on nothing has touched your bottom chip.
- 15:22Speaker 1: That's a horrible nacho pie. Yeah, I mean, well you
- 15:26Speaker 1: need a couple for stability, you know, but to pull
- 15:28Speaker 1: out to the bottom, just to dig into the pop.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But you know, my my method is usually lay some
- 15:32Speaker 1: chips down, you know, just lay half the toppings down,
- 15:35Speaker 1: lay some more chips down. The rest of the topic.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I knew how I loved her. Okay, first of all,
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm from Houston. Texts. Okay, that's where I'm going away,
- 15:42Speaker 1: So I'm a text next phenomenon. I have been searching
- 15:46Speaker 1: every every I mean, I've lived in the Houston's, I
- 15:49Speaker 1: live in Atlanta, I live in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles,
- 15:52Speaker 1: traveled all over this country as a stand up comedian.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I've always have been searching for the ultimate nachos. I
- 16:00Speaker 1: went to the best restaurant. They put a little slab
- 16:03Speaker 1: of cheese and guacamola andre h to meat and they
- 16:07Speaker 1: call that a nacho. Are you kidding at me? That's
- 16:10Speaker 1: not a nacho. N a pile of chips. They're a
- 16:15Speaker 1: layered with when when you reach in the middle you
- 16:17Speaker 1: got something coming out with yourself A chip I can't
- 16:20Speaker 1: get I can't stand people that that don't get it right.
- 16:23Speaker 1: These restaurants are here fooling people. This mean you this
- 16:26Speaker 1: recipe right is Sunny touched down nachos. She's telling you
- 16:30Speaker 1: she got the history from Texas. Now you gotta go
- 16:33Speaker 1: to the You don't go to Canada for barbecue, no,
- 16:38Speaker 1: no sushi. They go to Texas for text mex Okay,
- 16:46Speaker 1: that's where I'm proud. Okay, barbecue, that's all I'm just
- 16:50Speaker 1: telling everybody. So, so Sunny's touched down nacho is the thing. Okay,
- 16:56Speaker 1: okay cool. Now let's go to the Actually a recipe
- 17:01Speaker 1: that I put on my one of my new products
- 17:04Speaker 1: that came out this year at Party City. I have
- 17:06Speaker 1: a food truck utensil caddy, and so I made up
- 17:09Speaker 1: this imaginary you know, food truck that would pull into
- 17:12Speaker 1: a football parking lot tailgate, and I put like these
- 17:15Speaker 1: stake recipes on the side of the food truck. And
- 17:18Speaker 1: that's actually one of them, my touchdown nachos. Okay cool,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that's that's gonna be posted this week on my social media. Okay, awesome,
- 17:25Speaker 1: promote you and your tremendous brand. Now let's go to
- 17:28Speaker 1: the Infladium. The entrepreneur side of you, the infladium, which
- 17:32Speaker 1: is like, we're thirty inches wide and thirty inches long.
- 17:35Speaker 1: You put you it's your commercial, You do your thing,
- 17:39Speaker 1: tell us about it. Well, the Infladium is an inflatable
- 17:43Speaker 1: snack stadium. Um, if you can imagine, many people would
- 17:46Speaker 1: build them with aluminum foil and cardboard to resemble a stadium,
- 17:50Speaker 1: fill them with snacks for their party. Uh. And it's
- 17:53Speaker 1: not super sanitary, uh, the old school way and also
- 17:56Speaker 1: not reusable. Uh. So I decided to come up with
- 18:00Speaker 1: something that I could use over and over again still
- 18:03Speaker 1: have that wow effect at my football party without all
- 18:06Speaker 1: the work because I don't have time, I don't have
- 18:08Speaker 1: the skill, and I'm very cheap when it comes to stuff.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So I like the idea of like buying something I
- 18:14Speaker 1: can reuse. So, uh, the Insladium is that I sketched
- 18:18Speaker 1: it out. I was actually tailgating. Was the guys at
- 18:21Speaker 1: party City at the Giants games for many years and
- 18:24Speaker 1: who knew it was gonna be like a golf course
- 18:26Speaker 1: where you're doing business. But I literally uh gained so
- 18:30Speaker 1: much knowledge about production and UM sales and stuff like that,
- 18:35Speaker 1: just from hanging out with UM that team, and so
- 18:38Speaker 1: when I was putting together this idea, I felt like
- 18:42Speaker 1: they'd be the right place to go. They're all about parties, UM,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and it's not a party without food, let's be honest.
- 18:49Speaker 1: So it was really really cool to present them the
- 18:52Speaker 1: idea of Insladium a couple of years ago for them
- 18:54Speaker 1: to say, yeah, we think this works. UM. After I
- 18:57Speaker 1: went in with the pitch and everything and we started working.
- 19:00Speaker 1: So now we're in our second year Infladium did so well.
- 19:04Speaker 1: It you know, naturally it fills up with food, but
- 19:07Speaker 1: it can also be used as a cooler UM and
- 19:10Speaker 1: it fits on a coffee table or like a regular
- 19:13Speaker 1: dining room table and then folds right back up and
- 19:15Speaker 1: flattens to go into your closets. So we've got that.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And now, like I mentioned before, we've got a utensile
- 19:22Speaker 1: caddy that looks like a food truck so you can
- 19:23Speaker 1: hold your utensils and your napkins. And we even created
- 19:28Speaker 1: a table runner, a tablecloths plastic that you can put
- 19:32Speaker 1: down as vinyl that looks like a parking lot, so
- 19:35Speaker 1: if you put everything on top of it, it looks like,
- 19:38Speaker 1: you know, a tailgating situation is going down at your
- 19:41Speaker 1: your your I called couch gating party. That's awesome. So
- 19:46Speaker 1: this is really cool. You should be okay. So that
- 19:49Speaker 1: means there's two things I got to post on on
- 19:51Speaker 1: social media this week and the touchdown you put it.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I don't even know you, and you got me working
- 20:02Speaker 1: this is This is not a good relationship. This is
- 20:04Speaker 1: a relationship. I was listening to your commercial break and
- 20:11Speaker 1: I believe it was one of the Adams you had
- 20:12Speaker 1: them before, and the sound bite you said was so
- 20:15Speaker 1: true and rank true to me. You've got to be
- 20:17Speaker 1: ready to invest in yourself and um, A lot of
- 20:21Speaker 1: this stuff that I'm doing now is based on me
- 20:25Speaker 1: saving money, uh, so that I could dream the dream
- 20:30Speaker 1: without going to a bank and asking them to believe
- 20:33Speaker 1: in me. I believe in myself, and so if I
- 20:35Speaker 1: believe in myself, I can fund myself. You know, I
- 20:38Speaker 1: was able to walk into the world's largest party wholesale
- 20:42Speaker 1: goods company by myself to pitch an idea, and I
- 20:46Speaker 1: was ready to walk out if it didn't sound right,
- 20:48Speaker 1: even though these are my you know, drinking buddies. You know,
- 20:51Speaker 1: so um and when you come in with the weight
- 20:54Speaker 1: of your own financing and backing yourself. There's just a
- 20:57Speaker 1: different level of confidence and um, a vibe that you
- 21:02Speaker 1: bring to a corporate setting that allows people to say, well, heck,
- 21:06Speaker 1: if they're going to take us a chance for themselves,
- 21:08Speaker 1: maybe I will too. You know, let me believe in this,
- 21:11Speaker 1: And I would argue that is definitely one of the
- 21:14Speaker 1: secrets to my success with Infladium UM and getting it
- 21:18Speaker 1: up and running within a year of pitching it to
- 21:20Speaker 1: Party City. Well, it's fantastic, and you're on my show
- 21:23Speaker 1: talking about it at the perfect time. So we gotta
- 21:26Speaker 1: got a busy marketing week, Sonny Anderson. Marketing Week is
- 21:31Speaker 1: own starting today. H Rashan is getting busy. I'm launching it.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I'm launching her campaign today on Monday, making conversation. But
- 21:39Speaker 1: before I'll be remiss, I got a couple of minutes
- 21:42Speaker 1: left in our interview. Here the kitchen. This is the
- 21:45Speaker 1: show again. This is where a lot of talented people
- 21:48Speaker 1: on the show. But whenever Sunny starts talking, I think
- 21:51Speaker 1: she's talking to Mely's talking to me. She's sampling those
- 21:54Speaker 1: little des search and just making these things. What makes
- 21:57Speaker 1: that show work for you. Well, I think you know
- 22:02Speaker 1: what you described. I think I call you know, pick
- 22:04Speaker 1: your Pony Television. We've got four dynamic uh co host
- 22:09Speaker 1: We're all from different places. We all grew up with
- 22:11Speaker 1: different flavors, vibe, styles, languages, etcetera. Uh, the norm is
- 22:15Speaker 1: different for each of us. And so I like the
- 22:18Speaker 1: idea that someone might watch and think I am so annoying,
- 22:22Speaker 1: but then just love my girl Katie or Jeff or
- 22:25Speaker 1: gee Z and vice versa. You know, someone that might
- 22:28Speaker 1: watch me and say, I can only pay attention? Are
- 22:30Speaker 1: you Everything you're saying makes sense to what I You know,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I know that's because maybe we have some of the
- 22:35Speaker 1: same things in our our nurture, you know, and our nature.
- 22:40Speaker 1: So it's really cool to be on a show where
- 22:42Speaker 1: a lot of different vibes they're represented, And I think
- 22:45Speaker 1: that's what makes it work. Pluss, we really do love
- 22:48Speaker 1: eating if we love cooking. But you know, I tell
- 22:52Speaker 1: people all the time, my job, my career isn't to
- 22:54Speaker 1: be a chef or cook. I actually eat more than
- 22:57Speaker 1: I cook because I get to sit on these shown
- 23:00Speaker 1: eat all this awesome dude, So I think that's what works. Plus,
- 23:03Speaker 1: it's like who wouldn't want to eat food from different people.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It's free, you know. Like so I think watching someone
- 23:10Speaker 1: living their best life is pretty awesome and I'd like
- 23:13Speaker 1: to watch that out there in the world too. So
- 23:15Speaker 1: I can imagine if I'm living my best lives then
- 23:17Speaker 1: giving out. It's awesome that people are watching. And I'm
- 23:19Speaker 1: just telling you got to close this out with with
- 23:21Speaker 1: an uplift statement about how talent you are. Please please
- 23:25Speaker 1: Sitcom you'r Sitcom star. I know it, I believe in it,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I will, I've I've discovered and worked with too many
- 23:32Speaker 1: talented people I got, I got busy, and my staff
- 23:34Speaker 1: is gonna be business all about Sunday this week to
- 23:36Speaker 1: promote the Inflatum, the touchdown Na Nachos, and your brand.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You keep winning. You can come on my show anytime
