- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdic with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson
- 0:04Speaker 1: with you. It was a blowout center in the Hawkeye state.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Donald Trump wins the Iowa caucuses and no unstated terms,
- 0:15Speaker 1: it was a landslide. It was an incredible victory for him,
- 0:19Speaker 1: and that brings us to something else. It also is
- 0:22Speaker 1: going to be a really big deal for vertical listeners.
- 0:24Speaker 1: You have something big to talk about right now.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly right. So you and I are sitting here.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It is ten twenty six pm on Tuesday. This podcast
- 0:33Speaker 2: will come out early Wednesday morning, so we're a day
- 0:36Speaker 2: after Iowa listen. The results in Iowa were extraordinary. Iowa
- 0:42Speaker 2: was hotly contested. The candidates spent a lot of time there.
- 0:45Speaker 2: They vigorously fought, and the results were dominating. Trump won everywhere.
- 0:52Speaker 2: He won over fifty one percent of the vote. He
- 0:54Speaker 2: beat his closest competitor, Ron De Santis by over thirty points.
- 0:58Speaker 2: He won ninety eight out of ninety nine Iowa counties.
- 1:02Speaker 2: The only county lost is the most liberal county in Iowa,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and he lost that vote that that county by a vote.
- 1:11Speaker 2: It was as dominating a result as that there has
- 1:15Speaker 2: ever been in the Iowa caucus in anything resembling an
- 1:20Speaker 2: open caucus. As a result tonight, earlier tonight, I went
- 1:25Speaker 2: on Seohan Hannity and on Hannity, I have endorsed Donald J.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Trump for President of the United States, and I did
- 1:32Speaker 2: so because the results of Iowa are overwhelming and I
- 1:37Speaker 2: believe in democracy. I deliberately stat out of this race
- 1:41Speaker 2: until after the people of Iowa voted, and the reason
- 1:44Speaker 2: is we had a contested race. I am friends with
- 1:48Speaker 2: multiple candidates in this race. I believe the voters out
- 1:51Speaker 2: to determine who our nominee is.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Well they have.
- 1:55Speaker 2: The results were compelling, and so as a result, I
- 1:59Speaker 2: have enthusiasmstically and endorse Donald Trump. I think it is
- 2:02Speaker 2: time for the party to come together. It is time
- 2:06Speaker 2: for us to unite because the stakes are so incredibly high.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I believe at this point it is clear who our
- 2:11Speaker 2: nominee is going to be. Donald Trump is going to
- 2:14Speaker 2: be the Republican nominee, and I think it's critical we
- 2:16Speaker 2: win in November. Listen, the forces that are a rayed
- 2:20Speaker 2: against Donald Trump have never been a raid against any
- 2:24Speaker 2: candidate in the history of our nation. It is extraordinary.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Foreign indictments, the media, the corruption. It is breathtaking now. Frankly,
- 2:34Speaker 2: the Democrats who indicted Donald Trump played a real role
- 2:38Speaker 2: in giving him this overwhelming victory in Iowa. And so
- 2:42Speaker 2: every one of them when we're sitting here on January
- 2:45Speaker 2: twentieth of next year at President Trump's second inauguration, they
- 2:51Speaker 2: ought to pause and reflect on the pivotal role they
- 2:54Speaker 2: played in making this happen. That being said, Joe Biden
- 2:58Speaker 2: and the Democrats have been a disaster for our nation.
- 3:01Speaker 2: The American people are hurting, the people of Texas are hurting,
- 3:03Speaker 2: and we need to change the path we're on. And
- 3:06Speaker 2: so I've endorsed Trump because I enthusiastically want President Trump
- 3:11Speaker 2: to win in November. I want us to change the
- 3:12Speaker 2: path we're on, and we need to work to make
- 3:15Speaker 2: that happen.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You look at how decisive this victory was, and I
- 3:18Speaker 1: want to just really get into the minutia this for
- 3:21Speaker 1: a second. Trump got more votes in Iowa than Rohnda
- 3:24Speaker 1: Santasniki Hale, and Vivek combined. That was such a strong message.
- 3:28Speaker 1: He also didn't do any of the televised debates, and
- 3:31Speaker 1: that's where I was looking at this and seeing it
- 3:34Speaker 1: and going this is a clear message, I think to
- 3:37Speaker 1: Joe Biden and to the Democratic Party that you can
- 3:41Speaker 1: come after Donald Trump. You can come after him in
- 3:46Speaker 1: legal terms. You can get mug shots of him, you
- 3:49Speaker 1: can put things on him that are egregious and absurd.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You can have rogue and disgusting prosecutors like we've witnessed
- 3:58Speaker 1: in Georgia for example, And it's not scaring voters away
- 4:02Speaker 1: from Donald Trump. How much of an important aspect of
- 4:06Speaker 1: this victory do you think dealt with that that they said, hey,
- 4:09Speaker 1: we're going to take him off the ballot Colorado and
- 4:12Speaker 1: all these other states, and the people said, not only
- 4:15Speaker 1: are we not going to let you do this, but
- 4:16Speaker 1: we're going to stand up and we're going to stand
- 4:18Speaker 1: behind him, and we're going to send a clear message,
- 4:21Speaker 1: I think, to all of these people coming after him.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Trump got fifty one percent in Iowa. That means he
- 4:26Speaker 2: got more votes than everybody in the ballot. He got
- 4:29Speaker 2: more votes than Ron De Santis and Nikki Hayley and
- 4:31Speaker 2: vivek He got more votes than Chris Christie's dropped out.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Added to Asa Hutchinson, added to Ben Ferguson and mother
- 4:38Speaker 2: Teresa add all of them. Now Trump got more. And
- 4:41Speaker 2: by the way, Ben, I apologize, I'm sorry you suffered
- 4:44Speaker 2: such a crushing defeat.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I did see to the endorsement, Sarah. I needed that endorsement.
- 4:48Speaker 1: But there's always four years from now, right.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You know, the future is always there for you. But
- 4:54Speaker 2: look at the end of the day, as I said,
- 4:56Speaker 2: when we're here on January twentieth, Alvin Bragg and Fanny
- 5:00Speaker 2: Willis and Jack Smith, they ought to remember this moment
- 5:03Speaker 2: because they played a pivotal role in it happening. And look,
- 5:07Speaker 2: Americans across this country were horrified at the persecution. The
- 5:12Speaker 2: Democrats are afraid. Joe Biden is afraid that if the
- 5:17Speaker 2: voters get a free choice, they'll choose to elect President Trump,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and as a result, they are abusing the legal process.
- 5:25Speaker 2: They're going after him. They're trying to destroy him, and
- 5:27Speaker 2: millions of people said enough is enough, this is grotesque.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm with him. That's powerful, and I understand every bit
- 5:35Speaker 2: of it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: When you will get where we go next, and you've
- 5:38Speaker 1: obviously done this as a candidate, explain what's going to
- 5:42Speaker 1: happen next, moving from Iowa to New Hampshire to South
- 5:45Speaker 1: Carolina and how quickly you think this could People will
- 5:48Speaker 1: coalesce behind former President Donald Trump the same way that
- 5:52Speaker 1: you're saying, Now there's a queer message.
- 5:53Speaker 3: He's going to be the nominee.
- 5:55Speaker 1: But explain the politics of this and now what will
- 5:57Speaker 1: happen in this next phase.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Look, I think this race is functionally over. Where we are.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Ron de Santis's campaign depended upon his winning Iowa. He
- 6:07Speaker 2: didn't and he not only didn't win, it wasn't close.
- 6:11Speaker 2: He lost by over thirty points. That is a crushing
- 6:15Speaker 2: blow to that campaign. We moved to New Hampshire. New
- 6:18Speaker 2: Hampshire is historically a more moderate state, is a flinty
- 6:22Speaker 2: independent state. In New Hampshire, DeSantis's numbers are incredibly low.
- 6:28Speaker 2: They're single digits. Chris Christy, who had been polling in
- 6:31Speaker 2: the low double digits, is out of the race. Vivek,
- 6:34Speaker 2: who had a little bit of support, is out of
- 6:36Speaker 2: the race. In New Hampshire, it's basically a two person
- 6:39Speaker 2: race between Trump and Nicki Haley. The current polling shows
- 6:44Speaker 2: them pretty close. Nicky Haley is running as an establishment moderate.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That's the lane she's in. That has always been a
- 6:51Speaker 2: lane in the Republican primary and she's consolidated the establishment
- 6:56Speaker 2: moderate vote. At the end of the day, I don't
- 7:00Speaker 2: know how she'd do in New Hampshire. She may do
- 7:02Speaker 2: well in New Hampshire because the establishment moderate lane historically
- 7:06Speaker 2: has been a sizeable lane in New Hampshire. Nationally, establishment
- 7:10Speaker 2: moderates are about thirty percent of the Republican Party, and
- 7:14Speaker 2: I got to say, is just a simple question of math.
- 7:17Speaker 2: There is no way thirty percent beats seventy percent. And
- 7:23Speaker 2: so New Hampshire we'll see where it is. Nicki Haley
- 7:27Speaker 2: will probably do pretty well. I think Trump likely wins
- 7:30Speaker 2: New Hampshire, but it may be relatively close. But after
- 7:34Speaker 2: that we're going to go to Nevada. Nevada is a
- 7:37Speaker 2: strange state this year because there's a fight between a
- 7:41Speaker 2: caucus and a primary, and it's I think the results
- 7:44Speaker 2: in Nevada are going to be a mess this year.
- 7:46Speaker 2: So then you will move to South Carolina, where the
- 7:48Speaker 2: primary is now. Nikki Haley is obviously the former governor
- 7:52Speaker 2: of South Carolina, but South Carolina is a pretty conservative state,
- 7:57Speaker 2: is significantly more conservative than New Hampton. Sure Historically, Iowa
- 8:01Speaker 2: and South Carolina often vote together, and frequently New Hampshire
- 8:06Speaker 2: is an outlier in that I think it is likely
- 8:09Speaker 2: that when we get to South Carolina, Trump will win
- 8:11Speaker 2: a dominating victory that I think he's likely to beat
- 8:14Speaker 2: Nicki Haley by double digits and it could be by
- 8:17Speaker 2: thirty forty points. I think it will be a big
- 8:20Speaker 2: victory in South Carolina. And at that point I think
- 8:23Speaker 2: the race is over. We will move on to Super Tuesday.
- 8:27Speaker 2: You get a whole bunch of states. It's Super Tuesday
- 8:30Speaker 2: has sometimes been referred to as the SEC Primary. You
- 8:33Speaker 2: get a lot of Southern states. I think Trump is
- 8:36Speaker 2: likely to win across the board on Super Tuesday, and
- 8:40Speaker 2: so I think at the latest this race is over
- 8:42Speaker 2: by Super Tuesday.
- 8:43Speaker 1: When you look at these other candidates and they're now
- 8:46Speaker 1: sitting there, there's one big problem, and that is raising
- 8:49Speaker 1: funds and inspiring people. When you lose, and you lose badly,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you got to try to go back and rally the troops.
- 8:56Speaker 3: You got to move on.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You got a staff that's been you know, the air
- 9:01Speaker 1: has been let out of the balloon. You've been doing
- 9:03Speaker 1: this now for months on end, and you have these
- 9:06Speaker 1: types of showings as you mentioned with DeSantis and Haley.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Vivick obviously dropping out, what's going through their minds tonight
- 9:15Speaker 1: moving forward as well? And how much I guess leeway
- 9:19Speaker 1: should people give Because you see this online, people are like,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you know, drop out now, it's Trump's you know, get
- 9:25Speaker 1: out of the way. You need to call left behind
- 9:27Speaker 1: right now. And if you don't, we'll never forgive you.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I mean, we see a ton of that in politics.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But what perspective and how long should it take them
- 9:35Speaker 1: to kind of get their head around the reality of this.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Look that'll play out in time. I'm not pressing anyone
- 9:41Speaker 2: to drop out that they're going to decide. By the way,
- 9:44Speaker 2: everyone in presidential campaigns drops out for the same reason
- 9:48Speaker 2: they go broke. That ultimately, if you look throughout history,
- 9:51Speaker 2: decade after decade, that's when people drop out. When they
- 9:54Speaker 2: can't pay their salary anymore, when they can't fly anymore,
- 9:57Speaker 2: when they can't put it on an event anymore, when
- 9:59Speaker 2: they can't run a anymore. When they go broke, they
- 10:02Speaker 2: drop out. DeSantis has an enormous problem. He is going
- 10:06Speaker 2: to have a massive problem raising money at this point.
- 10:09Speaker 2: He will probably raise some money in Florida. So there
- 10:12Speaker 2: are a handful of people in Florida he's still the
- 10:14Speaker 2: governor of Florida. So if you're a lobbyist in Florida,
- 10:17Speaker 2: if you're a big business in Florida, you'll probably still
- 10:20Speaker 2: write him a check because when he loses, he's still
- 10:23Speaker 2: going to be the governor of Florida, so you don't
- 10:24Speaker 2: want to piss him off. So he'll raise a little
- 10:27Speaker 2: bit of money from Florida. But if you're not in Florida,
- 10:31Speaker 2: I don't know anyone that's going to write him a
- 10:33Speaker 2: check right now, So that's going to be a huge problem.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Haley.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Haley has had a surge of cash, and she'll get
- 10:40Speaker 2: a bigger surge of cash. The never Trumpers Wall Street
- 10:44Speaker 2: will be enthusiastically behind Hailey. The people who hate Donald
- 10:49Speaker 2: Trump with a burning passion will be enthusiastically behind Hailey.
- 10:53Speaker 2: So she's going to get a rush of cash. But
- 10:55Speaker 2: at the end of the day, a rush of cash
- 10:59Speaker 2: can't buy vote. Jeb Bush in twenty sixteen had a
- 11:02Speaker 2: mountain of cash and at the end of the day
- 11:05Speaker 2: he won zero states. Nicky Hayley has a path I
- 11:10Speaker 2: believe at best to win one state. It is conceivable
- 11:15Speaker 2: she wins New Hampshire. I think she probably doesn't. I
- 11:17Speaker 2: think Trump is likely to win New Hampshire, but you
- 11:20Speaker 2: can imagine Haley winning New Hampshire. But at that point
- 11:25Speaker 2: the path is over. So I think there'll be a
- 11:27Speaker 2: ton of money and once you get the race could
- 11:31Speaker 2: be over before Super Tuesday. Listen, if Trump wins, He's
- 11:35Speaker 2: won Iowa, if he wins New Hampshire, if he wins
- 11:37Speaker 2: South Carolina. It's difficult to see how anyone stays in the.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Race go backfire.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Let me ask you this about nick You do you
- 11:45Speaker 1: think it'll backfire that the New Hampshire GOP primary debate
- 11:49Speaker 1: has now been canceled, that after Nicky Haley has pulled
- 11:54Speaker 1: out of those debates. It's being reported by ABC News
- 11:57Speaker 1: if they have canceled their New Hampshire primary debate after
- 11:59Speaker 1: he said she won't she would.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Only appear if Trump did.
- 12:04Speaker 1: The former President Trump has not been part of any
- 12:07Speaker 1: of the previous five debates. I can't imagine why he
- 12:09Speaker 1: would change his strategy now. But her dropping out, I
- 12:13Speaker 1: actually think that could turn off a lot of voters
- 12:16Speaker 1: to her in New Hampshire. What are your thoughts?
- 12:19Speaker 2: You know, it's a hard dynamic because without Trump there
- 12:23Speaker 2: at this point Haley debating De Santis would just be
- 12:26Speaker 2: weird because DeSantis. I like Ron, He's a friend of mine.
- 12:30Speaker 2: He was a great governor of Florida. He still is
- 12:32Speaker 2: a great governor of Florida. He doesn't have a path anymore.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And so I get Haley saying, well, why would I
- 12:39Speaker 2: debate Ron de Santis when he doesn't have a path
- 12:43Speaker 2: her opponent? Hailey's only opponent is Donald Trump, and so
- 12:48Speaker 2: a debate against anyone not named Donald J. Trump doesn't
- 12:51Speaker 2: make a whole lot of sense. That being said. From
- 12:53Speaker 2: Trump's perspective, why on earth would he debate Haley. I mean,
- 12:57Speaker 2: he's I think he's won this race. That's why I've
- 13:00Speaker 2: endorsed him. I think it is functionally over and I
- 13:04Speaker 2: want us to win in November. And I got to
- 13:07Speaker 2: say I'm comfortable, very comfortable with that endorsement. Look, there
- 13:14Speaker 2: are things Trump says and does that I don't like,
- 13:16Speaker 2: that I disagree with. That's been true forever. But if
- 13:19Speaker 2: I compare the record of Donald Trump as president to
- 13:23Speaker 2: the record of Joe Biden as president, it's not even close.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Under the former, the benefits for the people of Texas
- 13:30Speaker 2: and the American people were massive, we had prosperity, we
- 13:33Speaker 2: had a secure border, we had peace worldwide. Compared to
- 13:39Speaker 2: under Biden. We have skyrocketing inflation. We have crime out
- 13:44Speaker 2: of control. We have the worst illegal immigration in the
- 13:47Speaker 2: history of our country. We have the biggest war in
- 13:52Speaker 2: Europe since World War II. We have the worst war
- 13:55Speaker 2: in the Middle East in fifty years. On any measure,
- 14:00Speaker 2: Trump's record is massively, massively, massively better than Joe Biden's,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and so that for me makes me very comfortable. I
- 14:08Speaker 2: want us to win in November. We need to defeat
- 14:11Speaker 2: Joe Biden and the cultural Marxist who take it over
- 14:14Speaker 2: our federal government.
- 14:15Speaker 1: For ten years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian
- 14:19Speaker 1: conservative wireless provider, and when I say only, I mean it,
- 14:22Speaker 1: they are the only one. Patriot Mobile is a fabulous
- 14:27Speaker 1: supporter of this show, which is why I'm proud to
- 14:29Speaker 1: partner with him, and I have been now for almost
- 14:32Speaker 1: a decade. Patriot Mobile offers you, as a conservative, two
- 14:36Speaker 1: things that are going to be very important. Number One,
- 14:38Speaker 1: dependable nationwide coverage giving you the ability to access all
- 14:42Speaker 1: of the major network towers that you're using right now,
- 14:46Speaker 1: which means you get the same coverage that you've been
- 14:48Speaker 1: accustomed to. But the most important thing is without funding
- 14:51Speaker 1: the left. Now, when I say fund the left, you
- 14:53Speaker 1: may say, what do you mean. You may not realize
- 14:55Speaker 1: just how much Big Mobile actually hates you and your
- 14:58Speaker 1: family values, your faith, and how much they're giving to
- 15:02Speaker 1: plan parenthood. That's why I switched to Patrimobien. When I
- 15:06Speaker 1: look down at my phone, I see Patriot up in
- 15:08Speaker 1: the upper left hand corner, and I know that every
- 15:11Speaker 1: time that I'm sending a message, every time I'm on
- 15:13Speaker 1: that phone, I am supporting with my dollars, an organization
- 15:17Speaker 1: that supports free speech, religious freedom, the sancty of life,
- 15:21Speaker 1: Second Amendment, as well as our military veterans and first
- 15:25Speaker 1: responder heroes. They have a one hundred percent US based
- 15:29Speaker 1: customer service team which makes switching easy. I just had
- 15:32Speaker 1: to switch over a phone the other day. It was easy.
- 15:34Speaker 1: When I say easy, I mean easy. You get to
- 15:37Speaker 1: keep your same cell phone number you have right now.
- 15:39Speaker 1: You can keep your same phone you have in your
- 15:41Speaker 1: hand or upgrade it to a new one, and their
- 15:43Speaker 1: team will help you find the best plan for your needs. Now,
- 15:47Speaker 1: when you pay your bill, that's when the real magic happens.
- 15:49Speaker 1: They take a percentage of that bill at no cost
- 15:52Speaker 1: to you, and they give it back to the conservative
- 15:54Speaker 1: causes that I just mentioned. So you're making a difference
- 15:57Speaker 1: and standing with your values instead of giving your money
- 16:00Speaker 1: to companies that literally hate what you believe in. So
- 16:04Speaker 1: make the switch by going to Patriot Mobile dot com
- 16:06Speaker 1: slash verdict. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict, or
- 16:12Speaker 1: call them nine to seven to Patriot.
- 16:14Speaker 3: That's nine seven to two Patriot.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Get free activation when you use the promo code verdict
- 16:20Speaker 1: join me. Make the switch today, Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict.
- 16:23Speaker 1: That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict or nine to
- 16:26Speaker 1: seven to two Patriot.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Senator.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I also want to ask you about the issues every
- 16:32Speaker 1: election cycle, presidential specifically, you have certain themes and you
- 16:38Speaker 1: have certain issues that get and drive voters to the polls.
- 16:42Speaker 1: As a candidate, you've got to make sure you're hitting
- 16:44Speaker 1: those issues. And when you look at what this overwhelming
- 16:49Speaker 1: victory in Iowa means for Donald Trump, it means he's
- 16:53Speaker 1: talking the right issues. When you look forward, I think
- 16:57Speaker 1: it's clear it's the economy stupid, it's the worries about inflation,
- 17:02Speaker 1: it is the worries about high interest rates.
- 17:04Speaker 3: It's the worries about national security.
- 17:06Speaker 1: And it's still going back to what actually made his
- 17:09Speaker 1: campaign explode in sixteen, build the Wall.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I mean, there is.
- 17:13Speaker 1: A national security aspect to the open borders and the
- 17:16Speaker 1: chaos down there. If he goes back and stays on
- 17:20Speaker 1: these issues, yes, which he's been doing so far pretty well.
- 17:25Speaker 1: This seems to be what this election is going to
- 17:27Speaker 1: be about. Is were you better off then than you
- 17:30Speaker 1: are now under Joe Biden's America.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yeah, there are two massive issues in this election. Number
- 17:36Speaker 2: one is jobs in the economy. And jobs in the
- 17:38Speaker 2: economy are always front and center in any election. As
- 17:41Speaker 2: you noted, James Carville famously put it in Bill Clinton's election,
- 17:46Speaker 2: it's the economy stupid. Like people care about jobs. They
- 17:49Speaker 2: care about their family, they care about their income, they
- 17:51Speaker 2: care about paying the bills, they care about their children,
- 17:53Speaker 2: they care about their future. And the economy Joe Biden
- 17:57Speaker 2: is driven into the ground. The inflation is hurting everyone.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Whether you're buying food, whether you're paying for electricity, where
- 18:04Speaker 2: you're paying for the health care, whether you're paying for gasoline.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Everything the cost has gone up and people are hurting
- 18:10Speaker 2: people are really unhappy. They're feeling the pain. The second
- 18:14Speaker 2: issue that resonates powerfully is safety and security. And people
- 18:19Speaker 2: want to be safe. They want their families to be safe,
- 18:22Speaker 2: they want their wives, their children to be safe. And
- 18:26Speaker 2: under Joe Biden, people's safety and security has been seriously compromised.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And that's a combination of multiple issues. That's a combination
- 18:34Speaker 2: of crime, crime skyrocketing everywhere as Democrats have assaulted the police,
- 18:38Speaker 2: attacked the police, and stood with violent criminals against law enforcement.
- 18:45Speaker 2: That has made all of us less safe. You combine
- 18:48Speaker 2: that with illegal immigration, and people don't like the chaos,
- 18:50Speaker 2: they don't like all of the horrors that are unplaying.
- 18:53Speaker 2: But they also don't like the threat to their families
- 18:55Speaker 2: and their children that illegal immigration, that bringing in criminals
- 18:59Speaker 2: and murders and gang bangers and MS thirteen and terrorists
- 19:04Speaker 2: to this country, the danger that provides. And you put
- 19:07Speaker 2: on top of that the wars that we have, the
- 19:09Speaker 2: war in Ukraine, the war in Israel, the exposure we
- 19:12Speaker 2: have to a major terrorist attack in the next year,
- 19:15Speaker 2: which I think is massive. And people feel that they
- 19:19Speaker 2: feel afraid, They feel afraid for their safety and security,
- 19:22Speaker 2: and I think those two issues jobs in the economy
- 19:25Speaker 2: and safety and security are going to dominate this election,
- 19:29Speaker 2: and on both of those the Democrats are a train
- 19:32Speaker 2: wreck and Trump's record objectively is massively better.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I got to ask you one other thing about this
- 19:39Speaker 1: real quick, and it's going to make you laugh. I
- 19:41Speaker 1: have a feeling I'm going to know something, and this
- 19:44Speaker 1: rarely happens that you don't know. In the odds in Vegas,
- 19:49Speaker 1: the odds Makers today center added a name to the
- 19:53Speaker 1: list of prospects who you can bet on to become
- 19:57Speaker 1: president of the United States of America.
- 20:00Speaker 3: You know who they added.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Today, Benjamin Ferguson, right, and now President Ferguson. I look
- 20:06Speaker 2: forward to visiting your giant block of cheese in.
- 20:09Speaker 3: The Western close.
- 20:12Speaker 1: But my name is still not where the odds makers
- 20:15Speaker 1: it is none other than Michelle Obama. They are taking
- 20:19Speaker 1: official bets now, the odds makers that Michelle Obama could
- 20:23Speaker 1: become president of the United States of America this after
- 20:26Speaker 1: the Iowa Caucuses they update their list. Her name has
- 20:30Speaker 1: now officially been added. It is a head by the
- 20:33Speaker 1: way of people like Kennedy Junior, for example, and it's
- 20:38Speaker 1: ahead of I'm trying to remember they had somebody else
- 20:41Speaker 1: on there, Oh it was. It's ahead of the governor
- 20:44Speaker 1: of California, Gavin Newsom. The odds makers are saying Michelle
- 20:49Speaker 1: Obama out of nowhere. She's not running, right, But we've
- 20:52Speaker 1: been We've been saying this on Verdict. Are you a
- 20:55Speaker 1: little surprised by this?
- 20:57Speaker 2: No, I'm not. And listen, remember this podcast predicted it first. Now.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I still don't think it's greater than fifty percent that
- 21:06Speaker 2: Michelle is the Democrat nominee. But as I said recently,
- 21:10Speaker 2: I think on last week of the week before's podcast,
- 21:12Speaker 2: I think it's probably fifty five forty five that it
- 21:15Speaker 2: is Joe Biden versus Michelle Obama. I think it is
- 21:18Speaker 2: almost a coin flip. And I think Gavin Newsom has
- 21:21Speaker 2: a zero percent chance. I think there's no other Democrat
- 21:23Speaker 2: that has a chance. It will be one of the two.
- 21:26Speaker 2: We said this early, Franklin, we said this early. You
- 21:30Speaker 2: saw folks in the media kind of say, Okay, this
- 21:32Speaker 2: is an outlandish theory. Who are these crazy loons Cruz
- 21:37Speaker 2: and Ferguson that are pitching this. And to be clear,
- 21:40Speaker 2: I want to be unambiguous. I do not want to
- 21:43Speaker 2: see a nation when Michelle Obama is our president. I
- 21:45Speaker 2: think she is extreme left. I think her policies would
- 21:50Speaker 2: be worse than Joe Biden. But I think Democrats are scared.
- 21:55Speaker 2: They're scared that Donald Trump will win. They recognize Joe
- 21:59Speaker 2: Biden is a liability they're looking to get out, and
- 22:02Speaker 2: I think the only parachute they see is Michelle Obama
- 22:05Speaker 2: And so that that concern is real, and I think
- 22:09Speaker 2: it's growing every day.
- 22:10Speaker 1: The odds, just so you know, Donald Trump is eleven
- 22:13Speaker 1: to eight now and the best odds you can get
- 22:16Speaker 1: Joe Biden is nine to four, Nikki Haley fourteen to one,
- 22:19Speaker 1: Michelle Obama twenty to one, and Gavin News from twenty
- 22:22Speaker 1: five to one. So for all of those that thought
- 22:24Speaker 1: that that was a crazy idea, they're now taking that
- 22:28Speaker 1: in Vegas.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Is it is?
- 22:31Speaker 1: It is very interesting to see how quickly her name
- 22:33Speaker 1: after that interview which we talked about a week ago
- 22:36Speaker 1: here where she did that sit down interview and said
- 22:39Speaker 1: it keeps her up at night wondering who's going to
- 22:41Speaker 1: be leading this country and we need a strong and
- 22:44Speaker 1: powerful leader.
- 22:44Speaker 3: She was talking like a candidate.
- 22:46Speaker 1: They obviously have noticed it as well, And now you
- 22:48Speaker 1: can officially take that bets with the odds makers.
- 22:51Speaker 3: There.
- 22:51Speaker 1: It's twenty twenty four and a lot of us are
- 22:53Speaker 1: trying to get our finances in order.
- 22:55Speaker 3: There is some great news for homeowners.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Interest rates have dropped and are now in the fives,
- 23:01Speaker 1: a lot lower than they were last year. And if

- 24:07Speaker 1: to something else real quick. And it's another issue that
- 24:10Speaker 1: you're not going to hear about probably anywhere but here,
- 24:14Speaker 1: and you might see it on Fox. Hunter Biden is
- 24:17Speaker 1: back in the news barely keyword barely, and The Washington
- 24:23Speaker 1: Post Matt Weiser tweeted this out, saying, in a new
- 24:26Speaker 1: court filing, the Department of Justice said they pulled Hunter
- 24:31Speaker 1: Biden's gun from evidence in twenty twenty three and found
- 24:36Speaker 1: a white substance on the leather gun pouch. An FBI
- 24:41Speaker 1: chemist determined it was cocaine. To be clear, quote, investigators
- 24:48Speaker 1: literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant has
- 24:51Speaker 1: kept his gun. And yet no one's talking about cocaine
- 24:55Speaker 1: found on the leather pouch.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Of the president's sons firearm.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Really, so look, Hunter Biden is a world of trouble.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Anyone who pays attention knows that this filing this week
- 25:09Speaker 2: from the Department of Justice was really stunning. It is
- 25:12Speaker 2: a felony for someone who has a substance abuse problems,
- 25:16Speaker 2: for someone who's using illegal drugs to have a firearm.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Here's what the Biden Department of Justice said in their
- 25:23Speaker 2: written brief filed in court. I just want to read this.
- 25:26Speaker 2: It is the following paragraph title, Cocaine was found on
- 25:32Speaker 2: the defendant's brown leather gun pouch.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Here's what the paragraph says.
- 25:37Speaker 2: In twenty twenty three, FBI investigators pulled sealed evidence from
- 25:41Speaker 2: the state police vault to take photographs of the defendant's
- 25:45Speaker 2: firearmant being Hunter Biden. After opening the evidence, FBI investigators
- 25:50Speaker 2: observed a white pottery substance on the defendant's brown leather
- 25:54Speaker 2: pouch that had held the defendants firearm in October twenty eighteen.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Based on their training and expertise, investigators believed that this
- 26:03Speaker 2: substance was likely cocaine and that this evidence would corroborate
- 26:09Speaker 2: the messages that investigators had obtained which showed the defendant
- 26:13Speaker 2: buying and using drugs in October twenty eighteen. An FBI
- 26:18Speaker 2: chemist subsequently analyzed the residue and determined that it was cocaine.
- 26:25Speaker 2: To be clear, investigators literally found drugs on the pouch
- 26:32Speaker 2: where the defendant had kept his gun. Now, look, this
- 26:38Speaker 2: is reminiscent of Bob Menendez having evidence in his closet
- 26:43Speaker 2: of a jacket with the US Senate seal on it
- 26:48Speaker 2: with the name Senator Menendez typed on it with a
- 26:52Speaker 2: packet of ten thousand dollars in its pocket, with the
- 26:55Speaker 2: fingerprints of the Egyptians who allegedly bribed him.
- 26:59Speaker 3: In his post.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Like I gotta tell you, I practiced law a lot
- 27:03Speaker 2: of years. You don't get evidence like this. You don't
- 27:06Speaker 2: get evidence that ties every piece of it together. The
- 27:09Speaker 2: fact that Hunter his gun case had cocaine on it,
- 27:13Speaker 2: and the FBI is determined yep, that's cocaine on his
- 27:16Speaker 2: gun case. The felony is possessing a firearm while using
- 27:20Speaker 2: illegal drugs. Your gun case has cocaine on it. I
- 27:24Speaker 2: don't care how bad a lawyer you are, that ain't
- 27:26Speaker 2: hard to prove. And and and let's be clear, the
- 27:29Speaker 2: Biden DOJ was prepared to give a sweetheart deal to Hunter.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Biden give him a slap on the wrist and have
- 27:35Speaker 2: him serve zero, not a moment of jail time until
- 27:41Speaker 2: they got caught at it. And so this evidence, by
- 27:45Speaker 2: the way, while they knew that the crime he committed,
- 27:47Speaker 2: which is a felony, lying on this form to buy
- 27:52Speaker 2: a gun. I mean, you can't make notice center cocaine
- 27:57Speaker 2: on the pouch of the gun.
- 27:59Speaker 3: How much what it be for you to have a
- 28:01Speaker 3: cage than this?
- 28:02Speaker 2: Look, I want to say something original that's never been
- 28:05Speaker 2: said before.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Cocaine. She don't lie, She don't lie. Cocaine.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, welcome to your DOJ right now. If you're
- 28:15Speaker 1: the President's signed, you can have cocaine on your gun
- 28:18Speaker 1: and they still will try to give you a sweetheart
- 28:20Speaker 1: deal to cover it up.
- 28:21Speaker 2: By the way, but Ben, don't forget the mystery of
- 28:24Speaker 2: the century. The Department of Justice, the FBI, the CIA,
- 28:28Speaker 2: the entire amassed forces of the federal government cannot figure
- 28:32Speaker 2: out who left a packet of cocaine in the White House.
- 28:36Speaker 2: With cameras everywhere, in security guards everywhere, it's a mystery.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Who the hell can figure it out? And his name
- 28:43Speaker 2: might rhyme with Bunter Heyden.
- 28:45Speaker 3: All right, I can, I can.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I can ask this because it's a podcast, I can
- 28:48Speaker 1: use this word, So I'm going to use it. Which
- 28:50Speaker 1: one and we'll end with this center pisses you off
- 28:53Speaker 1: more that they can't figure out whose cocaine it was
- 28:56Speaker 1: in the White House, or that they can't figure out
- 28:58Speaker 1: who leaked the decision coming out of the Supreme court
- 29:01Speaker 1: on Roe v.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Wade.
- 29:03Speaker 2: So let me break those down. And I actually I'm
- 29:05Speaker 2: joking with the Bunter Hyden thing. But as we said
- 29:07Speaker 2: or a previous podcast and go back, I actually don't
- 29:10Speaker 2: think it's Hunter Biden's cocaine, really, okay, because and we
- 29:14Speaker 2: talked about this, right.
- 29:15Speaker 3: That's right, because I believe it totally is.
- 29:18Speaker 2: No, it's not because the place it's at is where
- 29:21Speaker 2: the staff goes in and out. I think it's a staffer.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I don't know if it's the chief of staff or
- 29:26Speaker 2: the deputy chief of staff or a senior official, but
- 29:28Speaker 2: it's an employee and probably a senior employee. But I
- 29:32Speaker 2: don't know that of the Biden White House because Hunter Biden,
- 29:36Speaker 2: as the presidential son, doesn't go through the staff entrance
- 29:40Speaker 2: to the West Wing. I go through all there all
- 29:43Speaker 2: I used to. I haven't been there in years, but
- 29:45Speaker 2: when Trump was president, I went through there all the time.
- 29:48Speaker 2: That's where staff goes in and out. It's not where
- 29:51Speaker 2: the first family goes in and out. And so I
- 29:54Speaker 2: actually think the cover up there is they are hiding
- 29:56Speaker 2: for a staffer who was dumb enough to bring his
- 29:59Speaker 2: or her cocaine into the White House. So I was
- 30:03Speaker 2: being a smart ass saying saying it was Hunter Biden's,
- 30:06Speaker 2: but I actually don't think that's Hunters. I do think
- 30:09Speaker 2: the cocaine on his gun pouch was Hunters, but that's
- 30:11Speaker 2: that's a different thing between the two. It's not even
- 30:14Speaker 2: close in terms of what the public consequence is, which
- 30:16Speaker 2: is the leaking of the draft opinion from the Supreme
- 30:19Speaker 2: Court was consequential at historic levels. It undermined the rule
- 30:24Speaker 2: of law, It undermined the Supreme Court, and I think
- 30:26Speaker 2: it is an absolute outrage that they have not tracked
- 30:29Speaker 2: down and prosecuted the person who did so. So between
- 30:33Speaker 2: the two, it's not even close. But I got to say,
- 30:36Speaker 2: more broadly on the cocaine issue, Look, this DOJ filing
- 30:41Speaker 2: illustrates that the evidence against Hunter is compelling. It's overwhelming.
- 30:45Speaker 2: And mind you that the Biden DOJ has let the
- 30:47Speaker 2: most serious offenses, has let the statute limitations expire. They're
- 30:51Speaker 2: trying to let them off. Remember remember, remember we said
- 30:55Speaker 2: this in our last podcast. The target of this investigation,
- 30:59Speaker 2: if you're looking looking at the public interest, is not
- 31:02Speaker 2: and should not be Hunter Biden. The guy is a poor,
- 31:05Speaker 2: sad sack who's got enormous problems. But the reason this
- 31:10Speaker 2: is a matter of public import is because Joe Biden,
- 31:13Speaker 2: Daddy Biden, who's the President of the United States, has
- 31:17Speaker 2: now years and even decades of history of corruption of
- 31:22Speaker 2: selling official favors for millions of dollars going to his family,
- 31:26Speaker 2: and so this filing from the Biden DOJ just shows
- 31:30Speaker 2: they've got the evidence like crazy, and yet they're bending over.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I want to ask you, Ben, do you think all right?
- 31:37Speaker 2: You own a gun store. Yeah, I want to ask
- 31:40Speaker 2: you a question. At your gun store, if the FBI
- 31:44Speaker 2: came in and found cocaine on a brown leather package
- 31:49Speaker 2: that was holding guns, what do you think how do
- 31:51Speaker 2: you think they would treat Ben Ferguson.
- 31:54Speaker 3: I would be in jail and it would be bad. Yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 3: it wouldn't even be.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Up for debate, like not close, like sing sing, don't
- 32:02Speaker 2: bend over for the soap. Ben, nice to know you.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I'll write your letter, I'll bake you a cake and
- 32:06Speaker 2: put a file in it.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yeah, And that would be how they would treat I
- 32:11Speaker 1: think pretty much anybody that doesn't have the connections that
- 32:13Speaker 1: he has.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Now, if your name were Benjamin Biden, by the way,
- 32:17Speaker 2: you would be driving a sweet car. You might have
- 32:19Speaker 2: a private plane. You would be living life well because
- 32:23Speaker 2: you'd be able to sell favorsome daddy.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's nice to be the last name. I have
- 32:28Speaker 1: the last name Biden. That's all they can say. It'll
- 32:29Speaker 1: be interesting to see what they do now with this
- 32:32Speaker 1: coming out.
- 32:32Speaker 2: As mel Brooks said, it's good to be the king.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It's good to be the king. Don't forget. We did
