- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show man, oh man, almost forgot I
- 2:13Speaker 1: had one this morning. But I'm okay. I'll tell you
- 2:17Speaker 1: who I am in a little bit. You know, I
- 2:18Speaker 1: get around. Man, it's so much but mad Good morning everybody. Um,
- 2:23Speaker 1: you know today I was having a conversation with my
- 2:27Speaker 1: wife last night and we were talking about our plans.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You know, we often sit down, you know, just like
- 2:35Speaker 1: a married couple. I mean, you know you know we're married.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You know, we have children, we have aspirations, we have hopes,
- 2:41Speaker 1: We I mean know, we have things we want. You know,
- 2:43Speaker 1: when you're married, you know, I mean it's important to
- 2:47Speaker 1: sit with your partner. I'm not telling you anything, you
- 2:49Speaker 1: don't know, it's common sense. Really, It's important to sit
- 2:52Speaker 1: down with the person that you've chosen and decided to
- 2:55Speaker 1: share your life with it and have multiple conversations on
- 2:59Speaker 1: a lot of things. And we try to make sure
- 3:01Speaker 1: that all of our conversations aren't always just business related
- 3:06Speaker 1: and always kid related, you know, because that that that
- 3:11Speaker 1: becomes it's a part of it. But it weighs so
- 3:15Speaker 1: much on the marriage that because that that's the grunt
- 3:19Speaker 1: work of being married. You know, your children, your family,
- 3:22Speaker 1: your bills, your your mortgage, your your car notes, you
- 3:26Speaker 1: know the what's due, what's coming up, and if you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: not careful, you'll you'll start that becomes the focal point
- 3:36Speaker 1: of you all's conversation. And this woman or man or
- 3:40Speaker 1: person that you've decided to have this life with, all
- 3:43Speaker 1: of a sudden, they're an extension of your business, and
- 3:48Speaker 1: you guys become business partners or whatever, and and and
- 3:52Speaker 1: and just get so anywhere. I'm just saying that that
- 3:54Speaker 1: is important to sit down and have these conversations, but
- 3:58Speaker 1: it's even more important to have of the other conversation,
- 4:01Speaker 1: you know. It's it's important with the person that you're
- 4:04Speaker 1: planning on making the run with to sit down and
- 4:07Speaker 1: talk about other things, you know, on on a more
- 4:10Speaker 1: upbeat note. You know, we were having a conversation that
- 4:14Speaker 1: she was reminding me of what she loved about me,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and then I, in turn was turned around telling her
- 4:22Speaker 1: the things that I admired about her and loved about her.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And we kind of have these all the time, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 1: when we sit down and we talk about the things
- 4:32Speaker 1: that we still enjoy about one another, or we may
- 4:35Speaker 1: talk about some of the things that we miss in
- 4:37Speaker 1: one another, but we constantly have these conversations about appreciation.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You know. It's so important man, that the other person
- 4:45Speaker 1: feels appreciated. So these things are important. But we got
- 4:49Speaker 1: into the conversation deeper last night, and I was telling
- 4:53Speaker 1: her about this idea that I had and that I
- 4:57Speaker 1: wanted her to help me with and and make a
- 4:59Speaker 1: phone call for me because she knows these people and
- 5:02Speaker 1: I was going to be doing this, and then my
- 5:05Speaker 1: wife reminded me of something not once again, you know,
- 5:09Speaker 1: as always, you know what I'm talking to you. I
- 5:11Speaker 1: just keep it as real as I can. I don't
- 5:13Speaker 1: know the Bible inside out. I can't quote to you
- 5:17Speaker 1: scriptures and tell you exactly where it is. I just
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know, I heard her say it, but it kind
- 5:22Speaker 1: of blew by me. I was I was telling about
- 5:26Speaker 1: something I wanted to make happen, and she reminded me
- 5:29Speaker 1: that there's a scripture somewhere, and somebody emailed it to
- 5:32Speaker 1: me the day I'm sure. Well, the Bible reminds us
- 5:35Speaker 1: not to be anxious for anything. Don't be anxious for something.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And you know, it really mattered to me at that
- 5:44Speaker 1: point yesterday that she bought this to my attention, because
- 5:47Speaker 1: how many times I've been guilty of that in my
- 5:50Speaker 1: past and I've learned better now, but every now and
- 5:53Speaker 1: then I need to be reminded, you know, And um,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I think what that what what she was saying to
- 5:59Speaker 1: me us? You know, I've gotten to a point in
- 6:02Speaker 1: my life and when we all should get to a
- 6:04Speaker 1: point where you know, you you've heard old people say this.
- 6:08Speaker 1: If you're gonna pray about something, then don't worry about it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And if you're gonna worry about it, don't pray about it.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You know, I think we've all heard that, and it
- 6:17Speaker 1: makes so much sense. I'm just talking about I'm talking
- 6:20Speaker 1: to people out there who have faith. You know, if
- 6:21Speaker 1: you don't have faith, I'm you know what I'm you know,
- 6:25Speaker 1: it's a major component that's missing in your life, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: you need to find out what that is, because, man,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you could save yourself a lot of misery. Not of
- 6:32Speaker 1: that back to this, be anxious for nothing, don't if
- 6:38Speaker 1: you're going to trust in God. Didn't do that, and
- 6:42Speaker 1: trusting in him means sometimes you got to be patient
- 6:48Speaker 1: and not anxious for something. Sometimes I would do this
- 6:52Speaker 1: in my ability to want something to happen so bad,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I would be out there forcing the issue so tough,
- 6:58Speaker 1: pushing the buttons oh hard that I would actually create
- 7:02Speaker 1: some situations that now I had to allow God to undo,
- 7:08Speaker 1: rewroute remanage. Go see about when had I stayed patient
- 7:18Speaker 1: and waited on him, What he had for me was
- 7:21Speaker 1: better than the thing that I was so anxious about.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Because the one thing she pointed out to me last night,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and I want to share this, God has never been
- 7:30Speaker 1: too late. You don't know the plan he has. You
- 7:34Speaker 1: don't know, you don't really always know his will. You
- 7:37Speaker 1: definitely don't know his route, his way of doing anything.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So he's always on time. He's always been there on
- 7:45Speaker 1: time for me. He's always been there on time for you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: How many times have you thought it was over only
- 7:52Speaker 1: to find out it's really just begun. How many times
- 7:56Speaker 1: have people wrote you off? The are those of you
- 8:01Speaker 1: who have lost jobs but you are still maintaining. But man,
- 8:07Speaker 1: God has already began to turn around process for many
- 8:11Speaker 1: of us. Some of us lost jobs and now have
- 8:15Speaker 1: better jobs. Some of us lost jobs and now has
- 8:19Speaker 1: forced us to rekindle that dream and that vision for
- 8:22Speaker 1: business we had. It's sometimes the mishap is the thing
- 8:27Speaker 1: you need to make something good happen. See a lot
- 8:31Speaker 1: of times we get so comfortable in our life where
- 8:34Speaker 1: we just um, we get complacent. We we just settling
- 8:39Speaker 1: in and when this is it and this is what
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm doing. But in actuality, God has a tremendous amount
- 8:45Speaker 1: of abundance for you. He has an amazing amount of things.
- 8:49Speaker 1: He has all these boxes packaged up with your name
- 8:52Speaker 1: on him that he's willing to ship. If you were
- 8:55Speaker 1: just align yourself with some of his will so you
- 8:59Speaker 1: could get some of these things. How many times have
- 9:02Speaker 1: you thought it was over and it didn't really go over?
- 9:05Speaker 1: How many times have you thought have, well, this is
- 9:08Speaker 1: it and it wasn't it at all. Well, how many
- 9:11Speaker 1: times have you thought, well, it don't look like this
- 9:13Speaker 1: gonna work out, and it didn't work out, but then
- 9:16Speaker 1: something better came along? How many times has that happened?
- 9:20Speaker 1: You've got to realize this, man. I was talking to
- 9:23Speaker 1: a family who had got displaced from the Katrina thing
- 9:27Speaker 1: that happened down there in New Orleans. And man, when
- 9:30Speaker 1: they said, yeah, we got a displace from Katrina, and
- 9:33Speaker 1: I braced myself because old what was me? Here comes
- 9:36Speaker 1: this story. I gotta hear this, and I gotta be
- 9:39Speaker 1: encouraged and think of something. It was totally different. They
- 9:42Speaker 1: totally totally blew me away. Man. The brother said, Matt
- 9:47Speaker 1: is actually the best thing that ever happened to my family.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And I went whoa And he said, yeah, man, he said,
- 9:53Speaker 1: because what happened was he said, I got settled in,
- 9:57Speaker 1: he said, Plus, I was doing some things outside of
- 10:01Speaker 1: my marriage down there. He said, I was doing some
- 10:03Speaker 1: stuff in the streets I ain't need to be doing.
- 10:05Speaker 1: He said, Man, it all got washed away. We thought
- 10:08Speaker 1: our life would never be the same. But he said, man,
- 10:10Speaker 1: my life ain't need to be the same. He said, Man.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Now we live up here in Texas. We got a house,
- 10:17Speaker 1: don't know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I
- 10:20Speaker 1: know to get into trouble with. He's a man. I
- 10:22Speaker 1: don't rediscover my wife, how beautiful she really is, how
- 10:25Speaker 1: much my family really was counting on me. And he said, man,
- 10:28Speaker 1: it's straightened me up. Man, he said, so, I gotta
- 10:31Speaker 1: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing that ever
- 10:33Speaker 1: happened to me. Now that's not always the case, but
- 10:37Speaker 1: it's how you look at a situation. But just don't
- 10:40Speaker 1: be anxious for anything, because God gotta fix for you
- 10:43Speaker 1: if you just let him work. So just stay on course,
- 10:47Speaker 1: stay focused, don't lose faith, don't be anxious. Man, just
- 10:52Speaker 1: just stay in the wheel. Let God work with you.
- 10:55Speaker 1: He got some great stuff in store for you. Okay,
- 10:57Speaker 1: you're morning show ladies and gentlemen, I have your attention. Please.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Uh, there's been
- 11:07Speaker 1: some complications that hasn't risen due to this show. People
- 11:13Speaker 1: have to take days off now because the ignorance level
- 11:17Speaker 1: is so high that is causing people are overload. And
- 11:22Speaker 1: so you know, just just know that about us when yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: when it's too much, you just have to you know,
- 11:33Speaker 1: come on now it's too much. It is morning, Shirley,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve, welcome back calling for real, good morning.
- 11:41Speaker 1: What's up? Well, well, well King of Pranks, Tomfoolery your
- 11:47Speaker 1: third then that's just uh, but you just you have
- 11:52Speaker 1: to add all that. You can't call him Tom. He's
- 11:55Speaker 1: not gonna do that. Yeah, he don't. He don't care
- 11:58Speaker 1: for that. No, I understand. Hey, Tom in that type.
- 12:01Speaker 1: So that's when you want snap ball. Yeah, so uh,
- 12:09Speaker 1: let me go over a couple of things. Since I
- 12:11Speaker 1: wasn't able to. I felt horrible. This is horrible about
- 12:18Speaker 1: the Houston Rockets. No I really do, no, no, no, no,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I really did. Because Chris Paul Man, he'd have waited
- 12:25Speaker 1: so long and he got right at the gate and
- 12:28Speaker 1: he got hurt. And if he'd have been in that game, man,
- 12:31Speaker 1: the Rockets would have worked. Yes, the Rockets would have won.
- 12:35Speaker 1: They would have had the right option. That them young boys,
- 12:38Speaker 1: them them them role players. They were trying to hang
- 12:40Speaker 1: in there for a minute. But that third quarter. Man,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I don't know what that is? Man, How they don't
- 12:47Speaker 1: see this coming? Yeah, I just go five, but just
- 12:52Speaker 1: got to shoot a three though. Hey man, that's the
- 12:55Speaker 1: worst thing I ever saw. And I was texting y'all
- 12:58Speaker 1: doing the game. That's the worst thing I've ever saw.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Man in a row points. Well, you could have easily
- 13:07Speaker 1: if you had just did a third of him, nine
- 13:10Speaker 1: of them, just nine. But they lived and died by
- 13:14Speaker 1: that three point shot. Man. That was it was. It
- 13:19Speaker 1: was very painful. Tommy crad on the air yesterday. Oh yes,
- 13:25Speaker 1: oh yeah he was because you know he was at
- 13:28Speaker 1: the game. Shoq wanted to hang out with him afterwards.
- 13:32Speaker 1: He couldn't even hang out with shot. How you turn
- 13:34Speaker 1: shot down? What was that? Shock? Wanted to hang out
- 13:42Speaker 1: with Tommy? Yeah, Tommy said, no, exactly exactly though. Oh
- 13:48Speaker 1: that's where we're going with. Oh y'all look at I
- 13:52Speaker 1: wouldn't hear too, because you think I can't stay inside
- 13:54Speaker 1: by side and I understand. I know you can't stay
- 13:56Speaker 1: inside by side with Why would you want to be
- 14:01Speaker 1: standing there facing the man? I asked the whole time.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I wasn't ready for that. I wasn't ready time go
- 14:13Speaker 1: from round from his butt cracked round to a zipp
- 14:17Speaker 1: to the zipper. That what they didn't know life for?
- 14:20Speaker 1: No man, don't blame all right, listen, coming up, it's
- 14:26Speaker 1: something funny and listen. This is a question, a story
- 14:30Speaker 1: I have for you. Guys. How do you deal with
- 14:31Speaker 1: naked dudes who want to chat in the locker room
- 14:35Speaker 1: in the gym. Okay, we'll be back at thirty two
- 14:41Speaker 1: after the hour you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:46Speaker 1: All right, it is time for something funny, guys. And
- 14:48Speaker 1: you know, summer is fast approaching, alright, which means plenty
- 14:52Speaker 1: of guys are hitting the gym in hopes of getting
- 14:55Speaker 1: or just staying in shape. We know Steve's been doing
- 14:58Speaker 1: it for the better part of the year, getting in
- 15:00Speaker 1: shape and everything for his boat body coming up. Uh,
- 15:03Speaker 1: so guys are doing it. Yeah, they want to, you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: go to the back. I don't give a damn what
- 15:08Speaker 1: it looked like it's going on. They want to go
- 15:11Speaker 1: to the beach, they want to go to the pool,
- 15:14Speaker 1: you know, in the coming months. So when you're at
- 15:16Speaker 1: the gym in the locker room, here's the question, how
- 15:19Speaker 1: do you deal with naked guys who enjoyed, you know,
- 15:23Speaker 1: just air drying, and they want to talk to you
- 15:26Speaker 1: air drying Shirley. First of all, huh, I haven't been
- 15:32Speaker 1: to a public gym and while. But when I do
- 15:34Speaker 1: find myself in a public place, like when I'm traveling
- 15:37Speaker 1: and stuff like that, Hey dog, put a towel on
- 15:40Speaker 1: before you talk to me. But don't stand over here
- 15:44Speaker 1: in my face, because I'll tell you what happened. Man.
- 15:47Speaker 1: We were in Hawaii. Remember remember when we went to
- 15:50Speaker 1: the Grand Wah. Yeah, this dude man was just laying
- 15:55Speaker 1: over there, just just niked on the lounge. Chap, we go,
- 16:00Speaker 1: won't you cover your little self up? And then he
- 16:03Speaker 1: got up and start talking. Didn't He recognized with Steve
- 16:05Speaker 1: Harvey and he came over and started talking, My man,
- 16:11Speaker 1: you got a towel or something you put on? So
- 16:14Speaker 1: he said, excuse me, do you have a towel or
- 16:19Speaker 1: something you can put on? Because you're talking to Steve Harvey.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I required that. He went, wow, hold on, let me
- 16:29Speaker 1: let me see if I can find what do you mean,
- 16:30Speaker 1: let me see if you find something? It's a spot
- 16:33Speaker 1: everywhere the head one on. Yeahs anyway, but they sparked
- 16:39Speaker 1: up a conversation like nothing that happen. Oh yeah, they
- 16:44Speaker 1: always sparked up a conversation, but naked, standing right there
- 16:46Speaker 1: with it with no tie on whether they call in
- 16:48Speaker 1: their hell, especially TV on they see something on TV
- 16:51Speaker 1: on highlight of the game, standing there just just all
- 16:56Speaker 1: that it's out and want to comment on game that Lebron.
- 17:03Speaker 1: We can't talk about Lebron right now. Now you wrap
- 17:07Speaker 1: this up, man, and looking at your chess, wrap all that,
- 17:11Speaker 1: get it under your own pit. Let's get it all
- 17:13Speaker 1: around now, lock that tiling. I didn't know y'all had
- 17:17Speaker 1: this problem. Do women do that? Women do? Yeah? I'm not.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't get right up in my faith
- 17:27Speaker 1: that comes. But let me ask you that guys, this
- 17:31Speaker 1: does it go across racial lines? Yeah? You ain't seeing
- 17:36Speaker 1: no brother do that? Brothers be wrapped up approach conversation.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah you too. See you don't really see too many
- 17:46Speaker 1: brothers like standing that shave and naked man maybe just
- 17:50Speaker 1: standing that as naked, nothing on their feet. They walk
- 17:54Speaker 1: into the toilet barefoot. You know, people got p on
- 18:00Speaker 1: the float. You're just standing there, man, I'll be going, man,
- 18:05Speaker 1: this can't happen. You're just getting ready for work. Right here. Huh,
- 18:10Speaker 1: right here. I've never run into that. I have, but
- 18:13Speaker 1: you know what, the women's locker room, surely don't you
- 18:17Speaker 1: think that women Some women are uncomfortable you're getting undressed
- 18:21Speaker 1: in front of other women, so they kind of go
- 18:24Speaker 1: until the stall and things. That's me, that is me.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I'm I come dressed, that's me. I don't I don't
- 18:33Speaker 1: just stand there naked, but you don't get undressed in
- 18:37Speaker 1: front of the other women. You have, I'll go into
- 18:39Speaker 1: a stall, I'll keep the towel wrapped around me or
- 18:42Speaker 1: my robe or something like that. Yeah, you want to
- 18:49Speaker 1: talk about that really when I lived in Chicago. When
- 18:53Speaker 1: I lived in Chicago, and uh, you know, my gim
- 18:58Speaker 1: was public, and my room and all of that, the
- 19:01Speaker 1: sauma and everything that I liked was in my building,
- 19:04Speaker 1: so I had to go down there. So it hasn't
- 19:06Speaker 1: been that long ago. I forgot man. Yeah, when I
- 19:08Speaker 1: was in Chicago, I had to do it. And you know,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I showered, you know stuff like that, Like I don't
- 19:14Speaker 1: sit in the steam room naked. I had my draws
- 19:17Speaker 1: on in the steam room and the sums case. There's
- 19:23Speaker 1: something happened. I just ain't just nick it, but it's
- 19:26Speaker 1: just the way you say stuff stick. I mean, what
- 19:30Speaker 1: if the fire long go off and we got to
- 19:32Speaker 1: get out of that. What if somebody coming in and
- 19:35Speaker 1: just start talking to me anything? No, I'm not gonna
- 19:40Speaker 1: be in here. Just neck it though. The man they
- 19:42Speaker 1: come in that neck it, sit their ass on that marble.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'll be going man. And they're getting the hot naked. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: women do that because you know, you can go from
- 19:55Speaker 1: the hot tub to the to the real cold tube
- 19:58Speaker 1: they got for you can go back and forth. They
- 20:00Speaker 1: do that naked. I don't recall seeing that. It was
- 20:04Speaker 1: the only time where I'm not with naked right here,
- 20:07Speaker 1: because you're usually boy with Nike. This is the borderland,
- 20:12Speaker 1: right you you better? Wow? I such a common Now
- 20:20Speaker 1: we learned something about you guys. We didn't know. Yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 1: and I didn't know. There's so surely you go into
- 20:25Speaker 1: the other room. I'll go into the other room, or
- 20:27Speaker 1: I'll put my towel around me or keep my robunt. Yes, yes, absolutely,
- 20:32Speaker 1: oh we did. When we went to spa. We went
- 20:35Speaker 1: to a spare and surely the ladies said, well, you
- 20:38Speaker 1: all can get dressed undressed right here. And we need
- 20:42Speaker 1: a draper. Ain't no curtain nowhere. I just got a dress, yeah, little,
- 20:52Speaker 1: I got some old mosquito bites I don't want to see.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I got stretchmgs exactly, Steve, Seriously, I got some stuff
- 21:03Speaker 1: on me. Dog that back for you know. Stuff was
- 21:07Speaker 1: good medicine. I just had the heat. I can't remove
- 21:15Speaker 1: everything I got. I got a skull under the decrease
- 21:20Speaker 1: of my ass, fell on top of this fence and
- 21:24Speaker 1: just the bobwe just told my whole butt cheek all right. Well,
- 21:34Speaker 1: listen um, as much as we loved and put some
- 21:38Speaker 1: damn clothes on when you come out to show. Yeah, alright, listen.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's the nephew, and not over your
- 21:44Speaker 1: shoulder and run that brank back. You're listening to Steve
- 21:50Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:53Speaker 1: we'll have some entertainment news. But right now it is
- 21:56Speaker 1: time for the nephew to run that prank back. What's
- 21:59Speaker 1: you guy? Now? If you can't talk straight at the
- 22:02Speaker 1: barbershop and ware and you talk straight, this right here
- 22:05Speaker 1: is the barbershop. You know, when you go to the barbershop,
- 22:09Speaker 1: the last thing you want is the barber to turn
- 22:12Speaker 1: the chair with his mid section right by your hand.
- 22:16Speaker 1: You don't like that. And this I'm dedicating this once again.
- 22:19Speaker 1: This barbershop prank goes out to Kevin Durin. Let's fade it, dog,
- 22:24Speaker 1: Let's fade it. Let's faded for the final. Fade for
- 22:29Speaker 1: the finals. Three else, fade for the finals, running Cat Brady,
- 22:36Speaker 1: how you doing? Man? My name, my name is Dennis Man.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I got a hair cut from you a couple of
- 22:39Speaker 1: weeks ago. Hey, listen, um, I wanted to get an
- 22:44Speaker 1: appointment with you. Man. Uh like I said, I was
- 22:46Speaker 1: there a couple of weeks ago. Man, my first time
- 22:48Speaker 1: getting hair cut from you. Did real, real good jobs.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I want to say thank you for that. All right, Okay,
- 22:54Speaker 1: do you have any um any time available on Thursday? Yeah? Yeah,
- 22:59Speaker 1: for sure. You come up the third step. Fine, What's
- 23:02Speaker 1: what's what's your name here? Bro? Dennis Man? Dennis? Okay, Dennis,
- 23:06Speaker 1: Why Dennis? About about three o'clock man, something of that nature.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I mean, you know I'm on the work performans. You know,
- 23:13Speaker 1: three o'clock you'll be there. Okay. Hey, I got a
- 23:17Speaker 1: little bit of situation though, man. That happened last time
- 23:20Speaker 1: I was there. I kind of wanted to talk to
- 23:22Speaker 1: you about it, man, because it kind of called me
- 23:24Speaker 1: off guard. So I want to do how I let you,
- 23:27Speaker 1: man and see if we could rectify the problem. For
- 23:30Speaker 1: I came back up there. What happened? What's somebody disrespect
- 23:32Speaker 1: your something? I mean, what else to do? What? What? Um?
- 23:36Speaker 1: It really was somebody? Man? It was it? It was
- 23:39Speaker 1: it was actually you. Whoa. I mean, here's deal, man.
- 23:43Speaker 1: When you was cutting my hair, when it when it
- 23:46Speaker 1: was time to turn the chair, you didn't turn the
- 23:49Speaker 1: chair with with with with with your hand man. See Brady, man,
- 23:54Speaker 1: you you turned the chair with your with your private poet. Oh,
- 23:58Speaker 1: come on, say Dennis, I mean Dan, I'm a professional man.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I've been doing this fifteen years, right right. I don't
- 24:03Speaker 1: think it's anything deliberate, man. I think you just do
- 24:07Speaker 1: it unconsciously, man, because you know you'd be leaning over
- 24:10Speaker 1: on the chair cutting, and I think you don't realize
- 24:13Speaker 1: you know, you'd be turning the chair with your private
- 24:15Speaker 1: part instead of doing it with your hand man. And see,
- 24:18Speaker 1: my hand got caught out there and I saw it
- 24:21Speaker 1: out the corner my eyes. I saw your private part
- 24:23Speaker 1: coming towards my hand. I moved it just in time.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You understand, but not not see then I'm not understanding something.
- 24:30Speaker 1: But because I don't, I don't. We don't operate like that, mind, yes,
- 24:33Speaker 1: because you know I don't make mistakes like that. But
- 24:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't know you. You're sure
- 24:38Speaker 1: you're talking to the right person, man, Yeah, I mean,
- 24:40Speaker 1: ain't you the third chair on the right when you
- 24:42Speaker 1: walk in the door. Yeah, it's correct. Okay that when
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm talking about, man, and you cut me two weeks ago,
- 24:47Speaker 1: and like I said, I really like my hair cut,
- 24:49Speaker 1: so I wanted to call back and rectify this problem.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But you know you're gonna turn the chair with your
- 24:54Speaker 1: hand and not your prid part. If not, we gonna
- 24:56Speaker 1: have a problem. Okay, Bro, I feel it, and I
- 25:00Speaker 1: understand you your complaint and everything. I mean, I'm not
- 25:03Speaker 1: understanding what you're saying. But because I don't do that,
- 25:06Speaker 1: you know, But I mean we will be glad. You
- 25:08Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. You another cut or whatever? You understand? Man?
- 25:11Speaker 1: You know, but I don't move nobody know around with
- 25:14Speaker 1: my prod. Man, that's just not being okay. I understand
- 25:17Speaker 1: what you're saying, but I want you to hear what
- 25:20Speaker 1: I'm saying. If you put your private on there at
- 25:23Speaker 1: all when I come in there Thursday, then I promise
- 25:27Speaker 1: you're gonna jump up and we're gonna have a problem.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Well let's see now now now right there, And I'm
- 25:33Speaker 1: not I'm not feeling that jump up and having a
- 25:35Speaker 1: problem because you know you don't really know me like that.
- 25:37Speaker 1: But you know what I mean. I'm trying to be
- 25:39Speaker 1: professional here and and and solve your little issue that
- 25:42Speaker 1: you got your understanding. But I always jumping up and
- 25:44Speaker 1: stuff you're talking about doing. I don't know. I'm trying
- 25:48Speaker 1: to come in and get a nice hair cut and
- 25:49Speaker 1: walk out with a nice hair cut. What I don't
- 25:52Speaker 1: want to do. It's come down there, you're leaning over
- 25:55Speaker 1: put your private part. Well, I got my arms in
- 25:57Speaker 1: my hands and I got help you. Now that's what
- 25:59Speaker 1: i'd you're starting. You're touching me wrong. Talking about what
- 26:04Speaker 1: you're talking about. I'm touching you wrong. You touched me
- 26:06Speaker 1: wrong two weeks ago when you put your private on
- 26:09Speaker 1: my hand. Man, I don't want to touch you. I
- 26:12Speaker 1: tell you feeling to say what. I don't know what
- 26:14Speaker 1: you're talking to man, You know all I'm trying to say,
- 26:19Speaker 1: you're the brother trying to come in and get his
- 26:21Speaker 1: hair cut and walk out feeling like a man, and
- 26:24Speaker 1: not walk out feeling violated man because you didn't turn
- 26:27Speaker 1: the chair with your private part all up against my
- 26:30Speaker 1: head in my elbow and stuff. Man, you know what
- 26:32Speaker 1: I'm saying. You know I'm trying to talk to you.
- 26:38Speaker 1: But unless you don't run me wrong, I ain't no
- 26:40Speaker 1: punk flying here. And you understanding, they ain't no punk
- 26:42Speaker 1: flying that didn't keep it off my hand knee. Let
- 26:46Speaker 1: me tell you something we won't feel. Oh yeah, you
- 26:49Speaker 1: bring your stupid so he's gonna tell you right now.
- 26:51Speaker 1: You understanding, and look quicker? Oh he wrong? Shop away.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying. But let me explain something.

- 27:05Speaker 1: like a piningball machine. And I'm gonna tell you right
- 27:09Speaker 1: now I will put something on you. You come on,
- 27:13Speaker 1: understand me. Come on, dude, I'm just trying to come
- 27:18Speaker 1: and get a haigh cut. I'm trying to get a

- 27:44Speaker 1: out that I got somebody have a cut right and
- 27:46Speaker 1: I ain't got time running drum back over. You're gonna
- 27:49Speaker 1: come over here too too straight. I bet you did.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it. I don't go I don't do it.

- 28:12Speaker 1: might want to you want you want to know what
- 28:13Speaker 1: name gonna be on the shirt? Like then the name
- 28:17Speaker 1: on the shirt is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 28:20Speaker 1: Morning Shown. Say my bad man, I got one more
- 28:43Speaker 1: thing to ask you, man, what is what is the
- 28:46Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the
- 28:49Speaker 1: land that y'all think make sense? Play too much? That's
- 28:58Speaker 1: what we think up? No warning, nothing, nothing that's from
- 29:11Speaker 1: Kevin dur Man that we couldn't stop that boy from
- 29:16Speaker 1: shooting that three. Man, that dog on Kevin Durant, y'all
- 29:21Speaker 1: could have hit wrong. Twenty seven threes in a room. Man,
- 29:26Speaker 1: Ain't nobody said, hey, man, maybe we ought to step
- 29:28Speaker 1: in a little bit close. You know, a two nothing?
- 29:33Speaker 1: You know, baskets have always been too Yes, what's what's
- 29:38Speaker 1: wrong with the two? That's alarming? What a mid range jumper?
- 29:46Speaker 1: They like, they're gonna get in trouble if they come
- 29:48Speaker 1: inside the three point line? What's your doing in there? No, No,
- 29:52Speaker 1: you're going there? Yes, your dog. But you know, the
- 29:54Speaker 1: Houston Rockets were the first team ever in the history
- 29:56Speaker 1: of basketball to attempt more three pointers then they did
- 30:00Speaker 1: two play. Yes, I'm talking about over the season. Man,
- 30:07Speaker 1: we needed Chris Baul. That would have been great for
- 30:10Speaker 1: that brother, dude. So you would have been interested in
- 30:15Speaker 1: a championship with the Cavaliers and the Rockets. That yeah,
- 30:25Speaker 1: that's right, Yeah right, yeah, I needed the Rockets here
- 30:34Speaker 1: all right? Listen coming up next entertainment news Snoop Dogg,
- 30:38Speaker 1: Gigantic Gin and Juice. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 30:43Speaker 1: Morning Show. Snoop Doggs took the phrase building a drink
- 30:48Speaker 1: to a whole new level when he mixed up a
- 30:50Speaker 1: cocktail bigger than himself. You know, Snoop is really really tall.
- 30:55Speaker 1: He enlisted Warren g and Top Chef winner as he
- 30:58Speaker 1: crafted Michael vattell Leo's um as his celebrity barbacks as
- 31:03Speaker 1: he crafted a colossal cocktail on the culinary stage at
- 31:08Speaker 1: Bottle Rock, Napa Valley the three Day Music Fest. You know,
- 31:12Speaker 1: it's a food drink, all of that in the festival
- 31:15Speaker 1: in north northern California. But the trio didn't just make
- 31:19Speaker 1: an adult beverage on stage. They made history. Guys are
- 31:23Speaker 1: representative from Guinness World Records awarded Snoop a plaque for
- 31:27Speaker 1: the world's largest gin and juice cock jail. Uh huh
- 31:32Speaker 1: and other news Uh the one. If it's bigger than Snoop,
- 31:37Speaker 1: it's pretty darn big because Snoop is tall, tall, tall,
- 31:41Speaker 1: very tall, tall, tall, very very very very tall, and
- 31:52Speaker 1: he's thin, so it makes him looking and taller. You know. Yeah, Trudge, Steve,
- 32:00Speaker 1: if you would lose some weight, I'm trying. He's working
- 32:04Speaker 1: on it. He's working on it. You trying. You ain't
- 32:06Speaker 1: trying harder than me. It's hard. I'm sixty woman. It's
- 32:10Speaker 1: hard to get it off now, Snooper six four. Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 1: just for the records. Very tall, yeah, basketball tall height tall,
- 32:19Speaker 1: all right, and so in other news came over there
- 32:21Speaker 1: and shot some tut Tommy, get over it. He could
- 32:27Speaker 1: have been there doing layups and some Snoop dogg and
- 32:29Speaker 1: lay ups. That would have been great. The hell out
- 32:32Speaker 1: of what had happened on tonight. I take it. All
- 32:34Speaker 1: that money go to that damn game. You're gonna let
- 32:36Speaker 1: it go. It's a gone fishing, it's over. I could
- 32:40Speaker 1: have stayed home, fish my sin. I don't know why
- 32:43Speaker 1: you went all the pictures I saw you kept sitting there,
- 32:46Speaker 1: said it was the whole damn Marina. Yeah, I was up.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I was in the restaurant area. Dog, they got a restaurant.
- 32:57Speaker 1: You can overlook the whole thing. Okay, oh like a
- 33:01Speaker 1: sweet Yeah alright, So Steve, you're taking the ladies um
- 33:06Speaker 1: on a trip to Paris this summer. Brands yes, again,
- 33:11Speaker 1: responsible for a large portion of this, and she will
- 33:14Speaker 1: not divulge your information to me as I've requested, But
- 33:18Speaker 1: go ahead. Oh, I was saying, Monica has a budget.
- 33:23Speaker 1: So I gotta ask you, Steve, did you see the
- 33:25Speaker 1: video footage of the two year old undocumented immigrant in France.
- 33:31Speaker 1: He's a real life spider Man. They're calling him Lay
- 33:33Speaker 1: spider Man. Okay, Lay spider Man, and he's being hailed
- 33:37Speaker 1: as a hero because he climbed up the outside of
- 33:41Speaker 1: a building to save a four year old child who
- 33:43Speaker 1: was dangling from a balcony. I don't know if you
- 33:46Speaker 1: saw that footage, but it's incredible. It's yeah, you really
- 33:51Speaker 1: am not gonna believe how long this little kid held on.
- 33:55Speaker 1: But when his dear life, yeah you go all yeah. Yeah.
- 33:59Speaker 1: His name is mamand Gossama. He scaled the building to
- 34:04Speaker 1: rescue the child. It went viral over the weekend and
- 34:08Speaker 1: even earned him a private meeting with French President Emmanuel mccron,
- 34:12Speaker 1: who presented him with a certificate and a gold medal
- 34:15Speaker 1: for participate for performing an act of courage. But there's more.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Gossima will also be granted citizenship and has been offered
- 34:24Speaker 1: a job with the Paris Fire Brigade. So there you go, right, Yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 1: he did a great thing. He did good news. He's
- 34:31Speaker 1: a hero. And if you haven't seen the video, go
- 34:33Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and the video is
- 34:37Speaker 1: posting parents to in trouble, right, Yeah, well the mother
- 34:42Speaker 1: wasn't there that the dad, my dad faced some jail time,
- 34:46Speaker 1: she whipped, asked when she got home. Alright, So we
- 34:49Speaker 1: got a transition, guys, and move on to miss Anne.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Please introducer Steve. Ladies and gentlemen. She's here, the incredibly
- 34:56Speaker 1: talented miss and trip. Thank you very much, Thanks Steve.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Good morning everybody out there. This is a trip for
- 35:02Speaker 1: the news. Let's go. Evacuations are underway this morning in
- 35:05Speaker 1: western North Carolina, where heavy rains caused by Hurricane Alberto
- 35:08Speaker 1: are threatening to cause the lake to home a damn
- 35:11Speaker 1: to give way. If you haven't already heard, but I'm
- 35:13Speaker 1: sure you have. ABC TV pulled the plug yesterday on
- 35:16Speaker 1: the rebooted Roseanne Show because of a racist tweet by
- 35:18Speaker 1: the star of the show, Roseanne. Barr says she was
- 35:21Speaker 1: reacting to a racist tweet about former Obama administration official
- 35:25Speaker 1: Valerie Jarrett, and she referred to Miss Jarrett as the
- 35:28Speaker 1: offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood and the planet of the Apes.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Now comedian wanted a psych you know, she's African American.
- 35:34Speaker 1: She was a writer on the show. She said she
- 35:35Speaker 1: was quitting. Actress Sarah Gilbert, who played her daughter but
- 35:38Speaker 1: who also was a producer of the new show, said
- 35:40Speaker 1: bars remarks were ab horrent and then the network just
- 35:43Speaker 1: pulled the whole thing. Meanwhile, Verily Jarrett just happened to
- 35:46Speaker 1: be on an MSNBC panel on everyday Racism in America.
- 35:50Speaker 1: She reacted like this, I'm fine. I'm worried about all
- 35:53Speaker 1: the people out there who don't have a circle of
- 35:55Speaker 1: friends and followers who come right to their defense. The
- 35:58Speaker 1: person who's walking down the street, my in their own
- 36:00Speaker 1: business and they see somebody cling to their purse or
- 36:03Speaker 1: water across the street, or every black parent I know
- 36:06Speaker 1: who has a boy who has to sit down and
- 36:07Speaker 1: have a conversation the talk, as we call it, those
- 36:11Speaker 1: ordinary examples of racism that happened every single day, And
- 36:16Speaker 1: Jared says this should be a teaching moment. Roseanne's reacted
- 36:19Speaker 1: by apologizing and coming off Twitter, but she's back on Twitter,
- 36:22Speaker 1: blaming her racist tweets on the sleep inducing preparation ambient.
- 36:26Speaker 1: She said that's what was the problem, her problem, but
- 36:28Speaker 1: she also says she's sorry for costing some one hundred
- 36:31Speaker 1: cast and crew their jobs. Also, Viacom has also pulled
- 36:34Speaker 1: old Rosanne rerun shows off the air. A new study
- 36:38Speaker 1: shows that Hurricane Maria has been responsible for nearly five
- 36:40Speaker 1: thousand deaths in Puerto Rico, far more than the sixty
- 36:43Speaker 1: four reporter by authorities. The new figures had to be
- 36:45Speaker 1: based on some door to door surveys. The body of
- 36:47Speaker 1: Maryland National Guardsman Edison Herman has been found. Herman was
- 36:51Speaker 1: swept away by rushing floodwaters on Sunday in the town
- 36:54Speaker 1: of Elicott, that's right outside Baltimore. Herman was helping a
- 36:56Speaker 1: woman rescue her pit cat. The Starbucks coffee she a
- 37:00Speaker 1: closed for about eight thousand stores yesterday for half a
- 37:03Speaker 1: day anyway, to conduct anti racial biased training in the
- 37:05Speaker 1: wake of that embarrassing incident in Philly where a white
- 37:08Speaker 1: female store manager called the cops on two black men
- 37:11Speaker 1: entrepreneurs actually, who were waiting for a business partner and
- 37:14Speaker 1: hadn't purchased anything. Woman manage who started all probably did
- 37:17Speaker 1: not benefit from the teaching because I think she was
- 37:20Speaker 1: let go. Today's National Mint julap Day, Yeah, mit Julip.
- 37:27Speaker 1: More entertainment coming your way. Today's trending topics twenty minutes
- 37:30Speaker 1: after the hour on a Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're
- 37:32Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. President Donald Trump
- 37:37Speaker 1: is accusing Special Counsel Robert Muller's investigative team of meddling
- 37:42Speaker 1: in the upcoming mid term elections and blames Democrats for collusion. Mueller,
- 37:47Speaker 1: of course, is leading the probe into whether Russia interfered
- 37:50Speaker 1: in the two thousand sixteen presidential election with help from
- 37:53Speaker 1: Trump campaign aids. So far, for Trump associates have been
- 37:57Speaker 1: charged in Mueller's investigation. Rehompleaded guilty to lying to the authorities.
- 38:02Speaker 1: The president tweeted, the thirteen angry Democrats plus people who
- 38:06Speaker 1: worked eight years for Obama working on the rigid Russia
- 38:12Speaker 1: witch hunt will be meddling in all caps the word
- 38:15Speaker 1: meddling with the mid term elections, especially now that Republicans
- 38:20Speaker 1: stay tough are taking the lead in polls. There was
- 38:23Speaker 1: no collusion except by the Democrats. Mueller is a Republican
- 38:28Speaker 1: and was appointed by Trump's Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein,
- 38:33Speaker 1: so we know all that he has no no evidence,
- 38:36Speaker 1: no proof to say all this. They just trying to
- 38:39Speaker 1: get the public opinion to keep his fan base engaged.
- 38:43Speaker 1: They're trying to do this, they're trying to interview the election.
- 38:47Speaker 1: They're doing everything. Dada Winn got this old ass idiot
- 38:50Speaker 1: Juliani and he just owned just making a down oh
- 38:54Speaker 1: out of himself and the damn president. But when you
- 38:57Speaker 1: believe in that system, they don't change it. I'm telling you, man,
- 39:03Speaker 1: this is the most ridiculous. You You appointed this. You're
- 39:08Speaker 1: the reason Robert Mohler exists. Show there's no collusion. Okay, cool,
- 39:14Speaker 1: So then go on in now and sit down and
- 39:17Speaker 1: answer the question, and right, and why are you trying
- 39:20Speaker 1: to hear your name? Get them to stop, let them
- 39:23Speaker 1: finish the investigation. Then we'll know for sure that if
- 39:26Speaker 1: it ain't it's but your damn son, it's in so
- 39:32Speaker 1: much damn trouble. And then uh yeah, the other dude
- 39:36Speaker 1: that cooperated two people is cooperating three. That's cooperating. They
- 39:40Speaker 1: got information, man, and he knows. You know, if they
- 39:43Speaker 1: talk manaf because matter for not going to jail. Politicians
- 39:50Speaker 1: and bankers don't like jail. He's gonna be confessing in
- 39:57Speaker 1: like man, well, my mama, I don't care. Oh anyway,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you know what, I don't care if you're a Trump supporter,
- 40:16Speaker 1: and I don't care if you voted for it at
- 40:18Speaker 1: some point during his presidency. No matter who you are,
- 40:23Speaker 1: even if you're a starch Trump supporter, you've got to
- 40:25Speaker 1: sit there and go, what the hand did he just say?
- 40:30Speaker 1: You gotta go, oh, hey, I'm not all right? All right,
- 40:33Speaker 1: Steve coming up in about ten minutes at thirty or
- 40:36Speaker 1: four after the hour, who is the goat? Is it
- 40:38Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's or is it Lebron James. Let's try and
- 40:42Speaker 1: solve this once and for all. All right, you're listening
- 40:45Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, the NBA finals
- 40:49Speaker 1: are set the Cleveland Cavalier. Steve versus, uh do it?
- 40:56Speaker 1: Because I didn't neither, But here we is. So the
- 41:01Speaker 1: question is it always becomes who is the goat the
- 41:05Speaker 1: greatest of all times? Is it Michael Jordan's or is
- 41:08Speaker 1: it Lebron James? Or it's Tommy calls Bron Bron. Yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 1: So the question is also posted sh earlier on all
- 41:17Speaker 1: of our social media Steve Harvey FM. So going to
- 41:20Speaker 1: the Graham Instagram here, Well, w m F S quoted
- 41:25Speaker 1: saying Michael Jordan's Nahari twenty one. Michael Jordan's Nahari one
- 41:31Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's She wanted to say that again. Yes, j B. Smith,
- 41:36Speaker 1: Jordan's not even close now, Melanie Mia Hayes is. She
- 41:41Speaker 1: commented Lebron James for this era hashtag King James, I
- 41:46Speaker 1: am Aubrey Marie Michael Jordan's without question. Mr Carter Life
- 41:53Speaker 1: says Kobe Bryant Jazzy p Lebron Michael Jordan cat dog side.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I right, it's not Kobe Bryant. You know it's not.
- 42:07Speaker 1: He is one of the greatest basketball players of all time,
- 42:10Speaker 1: but he's not in this conversation. Right, Okay. A few
- 42:14Speaker 1: more real quick for you. Comment Stephen on Time of
- 42:16Speaker 1: You guys, comment Iron Mike three, m j easy, Uh,
- 42:21Speaker 1: this one is b x R in Texas Hoop. I
- 42:24Speaker 1: guess that saens for Texas Hoop. Lebron James is and
- 42:28Speaker 1: he put emoji of a goat, Michael Jordan's God's Girl
- 42:32Speaker 1: seven fifty three Jordan's and Eddie what what Eddie posted?
- 42:39Speaker 1: Steve Harvey appreciate Oh now you're in it. Kobe's not
- 42:49Speaker 1: in it, but you are well. I ain't appreciate it.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Can it can be more than one goat? Can't that's you, guys.
- 42:58Speaker 1: This guy's gotta be what are you. I'm with the
- 43:00Speaker 1: girl that said different era. Okay, that's what I think.
- 43:04Speaker 1: I think in different eras. But if I had to
- 43:06Speaker 1: pick one or two, then I got I got to
- 43:08Speaker 1: do with Jordan, So he changed the game. As far
- 43:11Speaker 1: as I'm concerned, you're saying right now today, Jordan wouldn't
- 43:14Speaker 1: measure up. Is that what you're saying if you're talking eras, Yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 1: Jordan gonna measure up no matter what. I'm sorry, Okay,
- 43:23Speaker 1: if I got to pick a goat's Jordan's. The era
- 43:27Speaker 1: has to be taken into consideration because it was a
- 43:30Speaker 1: two different basketball games back then. First of all, all
- 43:35Speaker 1: this oli ooop and that these people be doing now,
- 43:37Speaker 1: all these alli whooping that didn't exist back then. They
- 43:41Speaker 1: wasn't that they didn't have the athletes, because they did.
- 43:44Speaker 1: But there was somebody who lived in the paint named Ewing,
- 43:47Speaker 1: named Eli Juan, named Samson, named Lamber, named Oakley, named Mahorn,
- 43:56Speaker 1: named Parish, named McHale, name word, the name Kareem, named Shack,
- 44:03Speaker 1: name west Unseale, named Maurice Lucas. I could go on it, Barkley,
- 44:10Speaker 1: where if you jumped your ass in there. See, there
- 44:14Speaker 1: was no flagrant files back then. It was just a file. So, dog,
- 44:19Speaker 1: you come in here with all that high flying routine.
- 44:22Speaker 1: If you want to, we're gonna put you down somewhere
- 44:25Speaker 1: real nice and hard. So era had into play. Michael
- 44:30Speaker 1: Jordan's dominated in an era where you could hand check
- 44:34Speaker 1: and you could put your elbow your forearm on the
- 44:37Speaker 1: player's back. Lebron is not in that era. So Lebron
- 44:44Speaker 1: is the greatest basketball player in this era. Michael Jordan's
- 44:49Speaker 1: is the greatest basketball player of all time because if
- 44:53Speaker 1: Jordan's had these uh cotton candy as rules they got,
- 45:00Speaker 1: man Jordan would have had seven points every damn night.
- 45:04Speaker 1: They couldn't have done nothing with that boy. That damn
- 45:08Speaker 1: Michael Jordan was. Dog was bringing sixty three against Boston
- 45:13Speaker 1: when they had them cats in the paint that stayed there.
- 45:16Speaker 1: He was dropping the stuff on the on them bad boys.
- 45:19Speaker 1: And they hated this dude, and he still he still
- 45:23Speaker 1: was the greatest basketball player. Now, Lebron James would have
- 45:26Speaker 1: been great back then because either he'd have made the adjustment.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Lebron James the greatest basketball player living today. If you
- 45:33Speaker 1: want to come and go to all social media at
- 45:35Speaker 1: Steve Harvey f M. Nephew Tommy's coming up right after
- 45:39Speaker 1: this with his frank phone call. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 45:43Speaker 1: Morning Show. So the nephew is here, nephew, what you
- 45:46Speaker 1: got My roommate Benny. That's my roommate, Benny. Okay, my
- 45:56Speaker 1: roommate Benny running cat run. Benny must be the Devin.

- 46:44Speaker 1: but you ain't have to go to the leasing office. Man,
- 46:46Speaker 1: oh you have to do. You know what's hall at me?
- 46:48Speaker 1: You ain't you know they got me written up like

- 46:53Speaker 1: put me out of something. Well, yeah, like I said, oh,
- 46:55Speaker 1: I was trying to get I was trying to find you.
- 46:58Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. But we I guess me
- 47:00Speaker 1: at each other because you you work at night. I
- 47:02Speaker 1: work in the day. So you know when you're going,
- 47:04Speaker 1: I'm coming, and when I'm coming, you gone, I'm saying,
- 47:06Speaker 1: Brian trying starting. I'm just trying to, you know, go
- 47:09Speaker 1: to work and pay my pay my bills. Man's I'll
- 47:12Speaker 1: be at work at night, man. You know what I'm saying.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my hustle alone, like you trying

- 47:28Speaker 1: you've got a roommate us long, nobody, I ain't got
- 47:32Speaker 1: no roommates, man, Beny, somebody in the talking loud, holding
- 47:36Speaker 1: the conversation. It's like two people in there talking loud
- 47:39Speaker 1: every night. And that's by man, Beatty be talking. Okay,
- 47:43Speaker 1: you said you ain't got no roommates. Who who is Benny?

- 52:56Speaker 1: thank you that Eminem and Nicki Minaj are publicly flirting,
- 53:01Speaker 1: uh with the idea of a relationship guys and Eminem.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Yet it all started with Nikki talking about dating a
- 53:08Speaker 1: white guy and name dropping Marshall Mathers, and when one
- 53:12Speaker 1: of her fans asked if she was dating Eminem, she
- 53:15Speaker 1: replied in the affirmative. Then, when he headlined the Boston
- 53:19Speaker 1: Calling Festival on Sunday night, he brought up the rumors.
- 53:23Speaker 1: On stage. He asked the crowd what they thought about
- 53:26Speaker 1: him dating Nikki, with which got a mixed reaction. Nicki
- 53:30Speaker 1: responded soon after, tweeting, laughing my butt off the fact
- 53:36Speaker 1: quiet hil ain't rid of all in him, she said,
- 53:49Speaker 1: laughing my butt off the fact that he's silly in

- 55:11Speaker 1: like she said, alright, let's go alright, alright, let's get it, y'all.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold on type. We got it from Strawberry Letter. Now,
- 55:24Speaker 1: this is a very short letter. Subject you can't get
- 55:28Speaker 1: anything for free from me. Okay, here's Stephen Shirley. I
- 55:33Speaker 1: used to be a working girl, but I've been out
- 55:35Speaker 1: of the game for five years since I made this
- 55:39Speaker 1: big lifestyle change. I have only dated one man, and
- 55:43Speaker 1: he knew about my past and was willing and able
- 55:46Speaker 1: to take care of me. Now that I'm back on
- 55:48Speaker 1: the dating scene, it's been hard for me to transition
- 55:52Speaker 1: to another good man. Dating is so different now. In
- 55:57Speaker 1: the past, I sold my body because I needed the
- 56:00Speaker 1: money to pay a couple of bills, go out for
- 56:02Speaker 1: nice dinners, and get whatever else my heart desire. Now,
- 56:06Speaker 1: through the grace of God, I can pay for anything
- 56:09Speaker 1: I need myself. But I still want a man that
- 56:12Speaker 1: is going to spend money on me if I'm intimate
- 56:15Speaker 1: with him. Is it wrong for me to think like this?
- 56:18Speaker 1: Nothing is free, So if he's laying with me, shouldn't
- 56:21Speaker 1: he pay? Okay? So then the question becomes, are you
- 56:29Speaker 1: out of the game or not? Okay, because by the
- 56:33Speaker 1: sound of your letter, you're still about that life. I mean,
- 56:36Speaker 1: you're obviously in the same mindset from back in the
- 56:39Speaker 1: day when you were, as you say, selling your body
- 56:42Speaker 1: for stuff. Uh So, as long as you're thinking this way,
- 56:45Speaker 1: you're you're not all the way out. You're just not.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I mean, no real man, no real woman is going
- 56:50Speaker 1: to just take money or or just pay you for
- 56:54Speaker 1: for being intimate with them. You know, if you guys
- 56:57Speaker 1: are in a relationship and on a date and stuff.
- 56:59Speaker 1: That's prous tuition. I mean that's what that is. Uh,
- 57:02Speaker 1: doing it that way would mean that you're still in
- 57:05Speaker 1: your old life. You're still in the game. I mean,
- 57:07Speaker 1: don't you get that how that works? Um, if he's
- 57:11Speaker 1: paying for intimacy, he's paying for your services. Which that's
- 57:16Speaker 1: what you did back in the day when you said
- 57:18Speaker 1: you were selling your body to pay a couple of
- 57:20Speaker 1: bills and get whatever else your heart desired, along with
- 57:23Speaker 1: some nice dinners. So you have to stop thinking like that.
- 57:26Speaker 1: You haven't completely changed, Okay, you just haven't. And uh,
- 57:30Speaker 1: until you stop, you probably won't meet that good man
- 57:35Speaker 1: that you're wanting to meet now since you and the
- 57:37Speaker 1: other guy broke up. Steve, Well, this is a real
- 57:41Speaker 1: simple letter. This is a letter from this lady that
- 57:43Speaker 1: was a hooker and all this working girl and all
- 57:50Speaker 1: they said this is a hook and trying to call
- 57:56Speaker 1: it with working girl. Call it what you want to
- 57:58Speaker 1: call this is hooking. We are there tricking. Oh j
- 58:03Speaker 1: said it best. A woman will sell her precious body
- 58:08Speaker 1: for a small piece of paper. It carries a lot
- 58:12Speaker 1: of weight. Oh that mean mean mean mean green almighty dollar.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Oh lord, all this letter is about is about money.
- 58:28Speaker 1: She never mentioned love in this letter. Just love. This
- 58:31Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with love that subject. You
- 58:34Speaker 1: can't get anything for free from me. Okay, cool, and
- 58:39Speaker 1: you're in the life, Stephen Shall. I used to be
- 58:42Speaker 1: a working girl, but I've been out of the game
- 58:44Speaker 1: for five years since I made this big lifestyle change.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I've only dated one man, and he knew about my past,
- 58:51Speaker 1: and it's willing able to take care of me now
- 58:54Speaker 1: that I'm back on the dating scene. So now something
- 58:57Speaker 1: happened with this one man, So now she on the
- 59:00Speaker 1: dating scene. Now that I'm back on the dating scene,
- 59:03Speaker 1: it's been hard for me to transition to another good man.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Dating is so different now. In the past, I sold
- 59:11Speaker 1: my body because I needed the money to pay a
- 59:13Speaker 1: couple of bills, go out for nice dinners, and get
- 59:16Speaker 1: whatever else my heart desire. Now, through the grace of God,
- 59:19Speaker 1: I could pay for anything I need myself. Okay, that
- 59:23Speaker 1: was quick. I missed something here. You used to sell
- 59:29Speaker 1: your body so you could go out and take care
- 59:32Speaker 1: of some bills and nice dinners and get whatever else
- 59:35Speaker 1: your heart does. That Now, through the grace of God,
- 59:37Speaker 1: I could pay for anything I need myself. Now, so
- 59:41Speaker 1: that must mean you got a job, That's what I think.
- 59:44Speaker 1: But I still want a man who's gonna spend money
- 59:47Speaker 1: on me if I'm intimate with him. Well, you know,
- 59:50Speaker 1: in out the life, Sureley said it right. You're in
- 59:52Speaker 1: the life. You'll have to life. You have to life.
- 59:54Speaker 1: You in the life. You need to make up your mind.
- 59:56Speaker 1: The only way this is gonna work is what Surely said.
- 59:58Speaker 1: You gotta change your mind set, okay, because all you're
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: doing right now you're equating your sex to money. And
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: as long as that's what it is, you ain't heard
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: love in this letter. Compassion, companionship, a friend, you know,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: someone to lean on to share moments with. That ain't
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: what You just still paying bills. And if I'm gonna
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: late with you, you need to pay me some. And
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something. The thing you're selling, let
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: me help y'all. It ain't all that good. I'm gonna
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: tell you that right now. No, no, it's not. And see,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: let me tell you something. You can quit thanking yours
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: is to catch me out of the end all cause
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: it ain't. Everybody got one. Don't nobody care because you're
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: willing to pass it out for money, Go quicker, go harder?
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: What what? What? What? Everybody got one? Somebody is a
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: whole lot on betting yours. Yeah, and the reason you
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: could get money for it was was you fit to
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: sell it for money. See, it's easy to get somebody
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: bad from you, ain't nobody got to have no conversation,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: nothing here, go forty. Now let's go on to get it.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: That's not dating. Oh you don't know what dog dog dog,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: She says. She was an escort girl. She was a
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: working girl. Now, if you were so low or you
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: had a pimp or whatever, I understand how all this go.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Or if you're doing it yourself. I don't know how
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: you was doing it. But you didn't equate it all
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: this to money. Anybody got time for this? Hell? Now,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: look until you start talking about love, companionship, friendship, warm
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and tender moments, memory, sunset walks on the beach, Then
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: don't write me because I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Because you want to lay with somebody and get paid.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: So you you want to stop being a hooker, but
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: you want to keep hooking principles, So now go ahead
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: on what you just said right there. You want to
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: stop hooking, but you want to keep the hook of principle.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Now that don't make no damn sinse to me. And
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: we're not doing a part too on this damn you
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: made cause we do with you? Do you think she
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: take cash? Apple squire? Why do you think? But see
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: the fact that you're curious is stupid to me? Was
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: so different now you we own in huston, dumb as
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: a damn don't know? Why do you have to tell
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: him this every day? All right, we have to take
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: a little break right here. This letter is called you
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Can't Get Anything for Free from Me. We're gonna come
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: back and wrap things up at twenty three after the hour. Okay,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: here we are part two. I know you don't want
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: to do a part two of this letter. The subject
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: is you can't get anything for free from me. It's
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: about a woman who says she you to be a
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: working girl, but she's changed. She's out the game now.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: But the men she meets, she wants them to pay
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: her for being intimate with them, so she's not really
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: out what what? Why why are we still talking about it?
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: She probably old school with probably Western Union. She says,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: nothing is free. So if he's laying with me, shouldn't
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: he pay? Wow? Well yeah, why don't you charge him? Then?
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Just going back what you just charge you? That relationship
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: is over. See, she doesn't understand. She her idea of
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: dating is just to go out with a man. It
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: ain't she looking for love. She trying to find a
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: warm memories, trying to have a future, raise her family.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: She's not trying to do none of that. All she
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: trying to do is is date. Now she used to
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: your hook Okay, cool. Now you think every man take
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you out of you lay with him, you posted get
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: some money, Okay, lady, until you want a relationship, don't
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: call him, just keep hooking. Well she's not the game,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: not the gage, physically not mentally. Yeah all right, well listen, um,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: we gotta go. You can email us or instagram as
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: your thoughts on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey f
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: M and don't forget to join us uh this Thursday
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: for Facebook Live for the Strawberry Letter Live after show
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: and coming up in ten minutes, We're gonna discuss what
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: is best What is the best kind of sex? Okay?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: We'll talk about that in ten minutes continue. But I did,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I did want to tell you this. Mariah Carey's in
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: the news now. Remember when she was engaged to the
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: billionaire guy. Uh, he gave her this dime and ring, Carla,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: remember that that was worth like ten million dollars. His
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: name was James Packer. He was from Australia. Yeah right, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, um,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: she pawned her diamond ring. She pawned it. Okay, that's
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: kind of pawn shop. You pawned a two million dollar ring,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: ten million dollars, thirty five carrots okay? Whoa? And she
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: took it to a Los Angeles jeweler right here. How
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: much do you guys think she got for it? Pawn shot?
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Did they keep that kind of money you're probably gonna
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: get exactly nobody different? All right, Well Mariah got two million. Okay,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: she pawned a ring for two millions. You know the
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: ring cost yeah, she she got the ring costs ten million.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: It was a thirty five carrot ring, diamond ring. She
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: went to the to a Los Angeles jeweler. He gave
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: her two milli million dollars. They supposedly signed a confidentiality
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: agreement and will never divulge details about the transaction. Mariah's
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: publicists basically confirmed the New York Story Post story, saying
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: that Mariah has been very vocal about moving forward in
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: her life, surrounded by positivity that requires leaving baggage behind,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: including an old engagement ring from an ex boyfriend. So
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: there you go. Wow. Yeah, So she came up. He
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: spent ten millions. She pawned it and got to pawnshop.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Really came up, That's who came up. But Mariah didn't
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: spend anything. This is not a pawn shop, guys, a
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Los Angeles jeweler, promise you is not a paw Ain't
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: no pawn shop. Got no to mellion, that's what let that? Okay,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Well she got two millions. Are they going to resell it?
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I guess the Julia sell the ring and probably said it,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: yeah everything, take it out, take the stone out, carrot
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: diamond ring. Can you imagine thirty five carrots? Wow? Hell,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I wouldn't have messed up with that man if I
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: was with him. What she did? She said something, she said,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: then people are coming to dinner. This huh. That was
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: after the fact, But that's what She told that man
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Michael coming France coming, they're coming down the baby. That's why,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: that's why all this broke apart, because you had all
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: these people who wouldn't passed away coming to dinner, talking
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: about Whitney coming to dinner and set the table and
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: put food out there. I'm talking about the people are
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: coming to eat, Steve, that man looking at her time
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: when deep people are going on the glory, How the
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: head are they coming to eat with? Up? Get your
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: new No, tell me how this is possible. You just
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: set the table and got the the buttlet there if
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: I had a cooking around him for the people that
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: ain't coming. Everybody dressed in black and whites and all
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the fine clothing for for servant and the ain't none
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: of these people. Sure, she keeps looking at the door
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: like they're coming. Y'all, don't see nothing wrong with this.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: He's not that crazy though. Come on now, he got
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: two million dollars for her ring. Yeah, probably to go
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: by and get some more dinners, to waiting on these
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: people to come. Gner, guess who's coming to dinner? Just
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: sitting there because you know, I like to let him
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: do stuff like this. You can wait the next week,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Marvin Gay and Luther's coming to dinner. You're crazy, that
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: you're crazy. I cant you tillion dollars, Get the hell
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: away from me. It's something wrong with you. Tommy. I'm sorry.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Stephen. When I really to start doing this,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: when we saw talking about that, we're gonna have to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: get them some help. We got to get them down
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: there to the doctor. When we say that, I just
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: want you to be finished. Okay, okay, okay, to touch
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: you for y'all. It's awesome. It's awesome. Steve's always no no, no, no,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: no not Rick, you ain't be your friend now. No, Rick,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: you ain't be a friend. No no, I can say that,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: y'all cool with it? Rick, you ain't be a friend?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Cool with that? Did you cool with that? Rick? Gonna
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: be here, friend, guess who's coming? Give it to my baby?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Give it to me? Idiot? That's wrong with him? Alright, guys,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: we gotta go. Please email us or Instagram. What's your
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: thoughts on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, and
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: don't forget to join us this Thursday for the Strawberry
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Letter Live after show on Facebook Live and uh coming
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: up in about ten minutes, we're gonna discuss what is
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: the best kind of sex? Guys, you're to see stew All, Right, guys,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: sou Wanda Sykes. We know her, we love her. Comedian
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Wanda Sykes. She works um on the new rebooted Roseanne show.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: She works as a producer on that show, where I
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: should say she did because she's out now. She no
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: longer works on Roseanne and her exit is a direct
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: response to Roseanne's racist attack on Valerie Jarrett. And we
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: all know Valerie Jarrett. She's been on the show many times.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: She's a former Obama aide. President Obama aide and they're
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: close friends. So Wanda didn't like it, and she's out
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: of there now. This is what Roseanne. Uh, Roseanne said. No,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I'll let me tell you what Wanda said. First. Wanda said,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: I will not be returning to Roseanne. Um, and that's
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: what she said. It was short and sweet. I will
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: not be returning to Roseanne. Now. This timing is no coincidence.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: It comes within an hour of Roseanne's apology for calling uh,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Valerie Jarrett the product get this, the product of Muslim
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: brother Hood and Planet of the Apes really I cannot
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: made you do that. You can't possibly faith that a
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: network is gonna sit here because you know, look, we
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: all have to sign these clauses that if you do
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: something that is detrimental uh to the network that brings it,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and you know, and just we have performance clauses or
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: behavior clauses to you can't do anything to bring you know,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: conduct there you go, conduct that's detrimental to the reputation
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: of the network. Well, and you got all these people
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: out of work, now, yeah, that's okay. So so as
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: a result of this, ABC, Rosanne, by the way, did
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: um apologize. She did apologize. She sent out a tweet
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: she said, I apologize. Well, first she said, I apologize
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: and I am now leaving Twitter. Then she sent out
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: another twee, I apologize to Valerie, Jared and to all Americans.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: her politics and her looks. I should have known better.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Forgive me. My joke wasn't bad taste. So that's what
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Roseanne tweeted on her not only leaving Twitter, you're leaving
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: a lot today, TV lot. You can get all that
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: stuff at right now. How is this a bad joke?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Though I'm struggling with that part of it. She tweeted
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: this out. She knew what she was saying. She pressed,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: sinned when you compare someone to Planet of the Apes,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Come on, that was hard. So yeah, So a source
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: close to Wanda says that that is one percent why
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: she quit. Wanda and Vali Valerie jared our friends because
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Wanda hosted if you recall a few years back, she
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: hosted the White House Correspondence Dinner when President Obama was
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: in office. So they became friends after that. Uh. Wanda
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: was a consulting producer on Roseanne. Roseanne said that about
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Wanda's friend wanted it and like it. So she quit
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: as a result, and Roseanne has apologized. But ABC is like, no,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: they're canceling Rosanne. They had renewed it for a second
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: season already. Because I'm really surprised, to be honest with you,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: and I am really really surprised that they canceled to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: a show and they there's something going on right now.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Hollywood is really a large number of Democrat liberal people.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Hollywood very very liberal, very very liberal. You have to
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: be to work out here. You can't be a staunch
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: republican conservative and stand for what you your fake values
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: and come out here and think it's gonna work. It's
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: a very very liberal city. But I am stunned though,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: that they counseled to a show because it was making money.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: And this business out here, they have two gods out here,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: money and laughter. Those two things supersede everything they do
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: out here. Everything. Well, they canceled it, and now all
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: those people who worked on the show didn't. Didn't Roseanne
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: have a little black um grandchild, Yeah, on the show.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: On the show, this little girl played her black grandchild
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: on the show. Well, can we get Bobby and Joey?
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Can we you know, what are you Roseanne? You know
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: we had joe and we can just make it her.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: You're trying to get a show a right, Okay, just
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: look like well, the president of ABC Entertainment says that
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: her Roseanne's tweets inconsistent with the values of the network
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: and they decided to cancel our show. Yeah, that really
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: is crazy. And all those people now are out of work.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Laurie medcalf Um, Sarah Gilbert, all of them are out
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: of work. John Goodman, Uh, they're out of work now
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: because we're their leader of the show. You know, sent
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: out a racist tweet comparing someone to planet of that.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: How can you type that? I don't even understand it.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: It wasn't a joke. And so Steve, now do you
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: see why? Uh, we're on you so tough about we
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: protect you. Tommy. I'm very protective of you now and
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: i'd say stupid so before you do, so you don't
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: get in trouble. Now, I do that for you, you
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: know that, give you that from your heart, from your heart. Yeah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: that's from your heart. Man. Boy, you boys know how
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: to break down. Tommy broke yesterday over the game, and
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: now you're breaking down over this. But yeah, so, I mean,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: you know, this is just sad all the way around.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: It's sad that she and that she tweeted it Roseanne
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: and now you know they've canceled the show. It's a
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: good thing that they canceled the show. But now all
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: these people are out of work. Yeah, it's like, well
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: you thinking that's their their leader, see you know, and
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: see so many people have to suffer because of that.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: That's the unfairness of it. You know, all the people
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: who work on Roseanne don't deserve to be out of work. Man,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: All of these people have to suffer. But then her
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: name is on the door. Yeah, I mean you know,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: what's what's the punishment? Okay, Sis, Steve, what about this?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Just think think about this. You know how Starbucks is
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: having these um racial bias that they did yesterday. Yeah,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: meetings and stuff. They're there in Hollywood. That's all we do.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Oh really Okay, there goes that idea, you know, just
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: to talk about racism and stuff. But we have to
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: go to go to break. Um. We'll be back right
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: after this with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show, all right, Steve. So,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we're still like reeling over this
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: news about the Roseanne Show. Uh. It has been canceled
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: because of a racist tweet that Roseanne sent out comparing um,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: uh former President Obama advisor Valerie Jared to Muslim brotherhood
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and Planet of the Apes. And she tweeted that out.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Wanda Sykes, who's a producer on the show, walked out
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: quit and then um, the a Rosanna apologize for saying that,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: said it was a bad joke. And then the ABC
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: president Channing Dungee came out and said that um, they're
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: canceling the show because Roseanne's views are not consistent with
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: um with the show's views. So there you have it,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: with the with the networks views not consistent. What a crazy,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: crazy time we're living in right now when you think
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: you could say just anything racist, it's okay, you know what?
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Uh let me let me say this. Political correctness, as
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Jerry Sunfeld said, has killed comedy. Rosa and bar after
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the fact, tried to shape this as a joke. Ye
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: to put it in terms of comedy. Bad joke, and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: it was a horrible joke because the joke was lace
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: with stereotypical racism. Now, how you don't know this is
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: a bad joke? Why are you typing it that? You
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: don't think black people and other whites will go? What
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: are you? Crazy? Planet? Out of apes? Are you kidding me?
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: And Muslim brotherhood? So you're going with the Barack who
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: saying Obama? You're gonna go with that as he's a
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Muslim now and what lady lady, if you lost your mind,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: I will reiterate this. The sad part is for the
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: staff members, the crew, the hard working people on that
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: show who are not racist, who are now out of
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: work because the lead actress on that show type pretty
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: much the most ignorant thing she could type. It's really
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: really it just hurt my feelings hurt for those people
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: who are now out of work. I mean, they had
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: just renewed the show, uh for a second season, and
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: that's unfair because people playing their lives out here on
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: that man, y'all know. Man, these grips, stage hands, that's
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: how they work. Man, our show us back, great, we
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: work it cool. Now they out of work. Now they
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: gotta go. Some of them gonna find work somewhere else.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Some of them may they thought this was two three,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: four more years. Wrong. Yeah, yeah, because they didn't know.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: You never know, right, Steve, with a reboot, if it's
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: going to work or not. Man, you don't know anything
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: or any show for that matter, but especially with a reboot.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: You know, if I had it worked, if I had time,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: if said had time, we would read Steve Harvey, find
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: the time. We love that show. Find the time. It
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: was a show you know. Uh, well, you know Sarah Gilbert,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: you know she's on the talk with with our girl,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Shirl Underwood. She tweeted out, this is incredibly sad and
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: difficult for all of us as we've created a show
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: that we believe in and are proud of and that
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: the audience is love, one that is separate and apart
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: from the opinions and words of one cast member. So
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you know, yeah, I think about the only one that's
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: going to do well, like financially anyway on the show
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: is the young man Johnny Galucky because he's also on
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: The Big Bang Theory, so he has that show and
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: he did, oh yeah, and he said right, he does
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: a lot of movies and stuff and everything. Yeah, Well,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I mean this is just but come on, Planet of
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the Apes. Really, how much longer do we have to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: sit here and just endure people saying this? It's it's
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: just let me ask you. So all these shows have
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: a little uh meetings and whatnot of things you should
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: and shouldn't say. That's Hollywood have been doing this for years.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: This was before the Me too movement. Hollywood has been
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: out here dealing with that and it's picked up again
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: because of the me too situations. Its Harvey Weinstein has
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: made it even bigger out here now. So everybody is
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: in all types of sensitivity closest. Every show has to talk,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: every cash, every crew they have to take the sensitivity training.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Did Rose Ango? Evidently she missed her this was this
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: is racism, you know versus you know the movement. But
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: this right, But they do sensitivity training out here just
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: how but now Starbucks just incorporation out here in Hollywood.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: It's almost like it's almost like a no brain of
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: what you can't say because the crews are so intermingled
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: with each other. To be honest with you, there are
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: shows where you won't see any blacks on. Yeah, and
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: the crew p a nothing like you have to have
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: like a show that makes a conscious effort to hire
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: minorities and all of that you have to show we
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: make a conscious effort on this show to hire minorities.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: If you come to the set of my show, you
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: will see on all my shows lots of minorities, lots
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: of women, Asians, you know, women, blacks, whites. You always
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: see that because I am very conscious of that, because
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you're a black man and you know what it's like.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: And if I don't give a lot of people opportunities
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: where they're gonna get the exactly because there are some
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: shows who don't hide you know, because and it's not
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: the it's just ingrown. Look, they hire their friends, their friends.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Remember that was the debate so many years ago about
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: um friends I think, and seinfeldt for a while that
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: they were they were in New York City and there
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: were no blacks on these shows. Come on now, oh
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: yeah friends friends. Yeah. Well, the CEO of Disney, he
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: tweeted out there there was only one choice, and you
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: know see Disney owns ABC, and he said, and we
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: had to do the right thing, right because see they
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: can't mess around this Disney because Disney, it's not playing
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: that racism stuff with you, not on no day of
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: the week. They treat all kids the same down there, Disney.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Don't come down there with that because that ain't what
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: they fit to do. I promise you, all right, Steve, Okay,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: well we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. So, Steve, this lady sent a letter
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: from Steve Harvey FM dot com uh stating Stephen Shirley,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: my friend said the breakup sex was better than any
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: of the regular sex they had during their relationship. So
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: here's the question, is breakup sex better than any other
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: type of is Hey, let's do this one last time? Yeah,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: before you go, something to remember them by. H So
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: is that the best kind or is it uh the
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: first time? The new partner sex all of ms good first?
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Or is it um or is it new position or
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: experimental sex? That's the best kind of sex? Oh No,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: you can't really do no new position. They're gonna wanted
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: to know where you got that from. I'm trying that.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Ain't gonna do that. Bones just fly? See why a baby?
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: You dog? You need some locks on your clothes. All right, Steve,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: here's one for you. Since you can't wait for this.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: How about vacation sex. That's really good. The kids are gone,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: I tell you. Oh, it's so interesting. Some of the
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: best sex is vacation six. After winning money in Vega six,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: add to the list that's not on there we were
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: we won. Oh you're the man, You're you're the man.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Put that on the list. Like what about I told
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: a girl one time when I was young that I
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: wasn't gonna make it. You got that. I'm dancing Its
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: last time about dancing? Maybe just to help you stay long.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: I'm sixty one. That happened? What if you were young
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: and virile and healthy, and it really she took it
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: the wrong way. What about just playing old at home? Sex? Yeah,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: it's all right, you know when anybody going. But I'll
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: tell you what. But but they hain't no kids in
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: the house. Sex that right there. But my mama got him.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Let me tell you so, let me tell you something.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Write about me? Yo yo, yall you go to work
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: or girl girl to let the performance begin? Lap lap standing?
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Oh all right? How about costume or roll places? I
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: got messed up in one of them? What stuff get
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: in the way? Yeah, that ain't. And I had a
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: Superman build on. I couldn't get it all. That ain't.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: I don't like that. I'm not ever doing that again.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: I'm tugging too. That thing got locked up on me
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: and never could get them tights off or nothing. I
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: didn't like that. Man. It took a long time. That's
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: that's good, like like got no bottom on them, crotchless.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what though, that one little string
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: to be over there, dude, that's that's an irritating a
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: little something over there? Costumes? Yeo, can you say raw? Ok?
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: We have to go a leaf in my mouth? Make
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: it look like I come through. So that's kind of
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: like a costume. But anyway, we gotta go more of
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: this foolishness. Who you're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. Well,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: the NBA Finals are set the Cleveland Cavalier Steve versus,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: uh do it because I didn't need But so the
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: question is it always becomes who is the goat the
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: greatest of all times? Is it Michael Jordan's or is
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: it Lebron James or it's Tommy calls Bron Bron. Yeah,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: so the question is also posted earlier on all of
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: our social media Steve Harvey FM. So going to the
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Graham Instagram here, Well w m f s quoted saying,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's Nahari twenty one, Michael Jordan's Aharred twenty one,
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: Michael Jordans she wanted to say that again, Yes, j B. Smith,
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: Jordan's not even close. Eddie what what Eddie posted? Steve
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: Harvey appreciate Oh now you're in it. He's not in it,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: but you are, Well, I ain't it. Appreciate it? Can
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: it can be more than one go? Can? I think
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: in different eras? But if I had to pick one
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: or two, then I got I got to do with Jordan.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: So you're saying he changed the game. As far as
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: I'm concerned, you're saying right now today, Jordan wouldn't measure up.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? If you're talking eras, Yeah,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Jordan gonna measure up no matter what. I'm sorry, Okay,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: If I gotta pick a goat, is Jordan's The era
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: has to be taken into consideration because it was two
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: different basketball games back then. First of all, all this
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Ali whooping that these people be doing all these Hollywood
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: done that didn't exist back then. That it wasn't that
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: they didn't have the athletes, because they did. But there
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: was somebody who lived in the paint named Ewing, named
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Ela Jahwan, named Samson, named Lamber, named Oakley, named Mahorn,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: named Parish, named Mkal, named Worthy, named Kareem, named Shack,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: name west Unsel, named Maurice Lucas. I could go on it,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: Barkley where if you jumped your ass in there. See
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: there was no flagrant files back then. It was just
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: a file. So dog, you come in here with all
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: that high flying routine. If you want to, we're gonna
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: put you down somewhere. Really nice and heart, so Erra
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: had into play. Michael Jordan's dominated in an era where
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: you could hand check and you could put your elbow
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: on your forearm on the player's back. Lebron is not
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: in that era. So Lebron is the greatest basketball player
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: in this era. Michael Jordan's is the greatest basketball player
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: of all time because if Jordan's had these uh cotton
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: candy as rules they got, man Jordan would have had
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: seventy points every damn night. The dog. They couldn't have
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: done nothing with that boy. That damn Michael Jordan dog
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: was bringing sixty three against Boston when they had them
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: cats in the paint that stayed there. He was dropping
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: them stuff on them, on them bad boys, and they
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: hated this dude, and he still he still was the
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: greatest basketball player. Now. Lebron James would have been great
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: back then because either he'd have made the adjustments. Lebron
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: James the greatest basketball player living today. If you want
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: to come and go to all social media at Steve
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: Harvey f M coming up next, our last break of
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: the day. And you know what that means. Steve Harvey's
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: closing remarks, You don't want to miss him. He's working
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: on him right now. You're listening to all right, Steve,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: here we go, last break of the day. Um, some
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: parting words for us with your closing remarks, please all right? UM,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: I guess so, without thinking about this much, I want
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: to talk to you about life, how fragile it is,
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: and I want to have something to say about m M.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: You know what, I'm really not gonna get into the
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: whole Roseanne bar situation, because, like I just be honest
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: with you, there are times, there are actually times when
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: I'm actually sick and tired of talking about it. I
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: am exhausted with the fact that the color of my
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: skin has to come into play in my everyday life,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: my just day to day. I don't know, I I
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: really can't think of any days realistically why I do
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: not have to consider the color of my skin, the
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: shape of my nose and my lips wherever I go.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: The situation I'm in, I very rarely I can think
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: of a day that I'm not made aware of it
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: or I have to factor it in. If you're not
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: a person of color or minority, you may not even
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: be able to understand what I'm saying. But I'll just
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: give you an example, when riding in the car and
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: being stopped by the police, as me and my buddy
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: Greg Calhoun was doing last year after golf out in
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: coming from Montgomery to Alabama and his car and we
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: were speeding and we were supposed to get pulled over.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: We were speeding. But what I had to do was
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: immediately become aware that I am a black man. Skip
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: your money and your fame. I don't have time to
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: throw that out at you. I got to get and
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: start preparing myself. As the officer approaches the car, I
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: must understand without him getting my I D I'm a
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: black man, just a black man. So I put my
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: hands up on the dashboard and the officer came to
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: the passenger side and said, why is your hands on
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: the dashboard? I said, because I don't want nothing to
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: happen to me. The officer said, while that's acting mighty suspicious.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: I said, no, it's not. I'm just being safe, officer.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: If you don't mind, she said, well, I'll need to
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: see I D. I said, I D happens to be
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: in a pouch in the back seat. I would have
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: to reach. She said, we'll go ahead and I was
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: tense because I didn't I didn't want to be mistaken.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: When I'm on an elevator and I get on, I
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: am conscious of the fact that me and my guy
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: are the only ones on the elevator. When I go
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: to golf courses and I oftentimes see that there are
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: hardly any African Americans out here, it's just me and
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: wanted maybe the foces something that I'm playing with and
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: and and I'm just always aware of it. If you're
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: not that you don't have to be aware of it.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: But it's the awareness that becomes draining at times. It's
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: the fact that you got to be the only one
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: on your floor, the only one on the elevator, the
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: only one in the cubicle, the only one in your department,
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: the only one at the meeting, the only one in
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: the cafeteria, the only one on the on the trip,
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the only one, the only one at the hotel, at
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: the front desk, the only one, the only one, the
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: only one's kids that's in the recital, the only one's
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: kids that's at the that's on the soccer team, the
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: only one, the only one, the only one, the only one.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: Gets to be exhausting. At times this will not change.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: And two more people who are not of color can
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: try to empathize or sympathize, or generalize or something with
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: us to say, you know what, I don't know how
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: that feels, but I bet that ain't right, because, as
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: I've often said many times, slavery didn't end just because
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: black people got sick of being slaves. We were sick
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: of it the thought of it. When they put us
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: on the boats. Nobody wanted to ride the boat over
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: here and come be no slaves. Nobody was under the
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: elliot m slaveships, going, man, this is nice. It's gonna
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: be a new opportunity. Nobody. So I want to wake
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: up and just see what it feels like to just
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: go about my day without having to calculate my race,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: without to have to calculate the color of my skin,
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: to watch other people get paid a certain amount of
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: money and then you don't get paid a certain amount
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: of money with the same type of ratings, and then
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: you got you got to incorporate something else again. Now,
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: I've been very blessed with the life that I have,
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: and I would not trade mind for anything, with all
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: this sick and tire to being sick and tired. Also,
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: what makes this also tolerable for me, it's my love
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: of who I am, my love of our power to overcome,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: our power to maintain in the struggle, our power to
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: still be something where we were brought here to simply
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: be nothing, so for us to have accomplished what we've accomplished.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: I'm grateful and awful proud of that. So I guess
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: my pride just keeps me going on. I hope that
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: God will continue to let whatever light that I can
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: let shine through my existence to inspire someone else to
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: overcome when it looked like you ain't gonna make it.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: Because that's exactly what I've done, by the grace of God.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: I have overcome against all the odds, even when they
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: said I wasn't gonna make it. And even though I'm
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: tired of being tired, I wouldn't trade places and be
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: nothing else. No how but then, in this struggle has
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: taught me so many items of strength. I've learned so
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: much about myself. My soul is strong, my spirit is strong.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: I thank God for so. Y'all have a great weak
