Transcript
- 0:00Today is the last of a three -part encouragement
- 0:02based on Psalm 47 3. We've talked about how it
- 0:06is that some people aren't thoughtful about getting
- 0:08to heaven when they die or about being obedient
- 0:10to the God of the universe. We've talked about
- 0:12how it is that is our place as Christians to
- 0:15live for if necessary, to die for and to suffer
- 0:19for and with Jesus Christ. I think it's in Malachi
- 0:22where it talks about the rest of humanity as
- 0:24dust under our feet when we come charging into
- 0:27the kingdom of God. Sometimes it feels like not
- 0:30everything goes our way. We are a people destined
- 0:33to suffer as Christ suffered. When we do, we
- 0:36have to understand the purpose of that suffering,
- 0:39or it can feel like we're losing. We are called
- 0:41to walk by faith, not by sight. So it is. If
- 0:44indeed we have come into relationship with God
- 0:46through his son Jesus Christ, then this life
- 0:50and the absolute significance of being chosen
- 0:52by God is everything to us. There is some significant
- 0:56consolation then when things don't seem to be
- 0:58going our way during this lifetime. If it's resolved
- 1:01and you know it, then you know the true order
- 1:04of things. Choose truth. Choose eternity. Trust
- 1:07God. I would say Psalm 47 .3. He subdues people
- 1:11under us and puts all nations under our feet.
- 1:14And how grateful we are to know that we have
- 1:17that position in the kingdom of God. As you face
- 1:20the difficulties of these days, honor the Lord,
- 1:23receive his presence, trust God, work to make
- 1:27life better for anyone you possibly can, and
- 1:29spread the gospel. We will make it through into
- 1:32eternity, and God will place all people and all
- 1:35nations under our feet. God bless you.
