- 1:59Speaker 1: Walker Fame. She's Gonna Showlder took us a current album,
- 2:02Speaker 1: but lead for it. The album is currently at number
- 2:05Speaker 1: four on Billboard, which top Christian Gospel album chart, and
- 2:08Speaker 1: it's been in the top ten every week since since
- 2:11Speaker 1: it was released twenty weeks ago. Please work with the
- 2:14Speaker 1: money making conversations for the verse first time and not
- 2:16Speaker 1: the last time. C C One said hello, hello, shot,
- 2:23Speaker 1: how are you well? Fantastic? You know, I gotta share
- 2:26Speaker 1: a little story. I did it all fair. I gotta
- 2:28Speaker 1: bring it on camera here about. You know, I do
- 2:31Speaker 1: a newsletter or with money making conversations. We do it
- 2:34Speaker 1: every week, uh Dale. He handled my my creative and
- 2:38Speaker 1: I walked in. This officer said, I just ran across
- 2:40Speaker 1: this video of c C one and she looked amazing.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I said, I gotta drop this in my newsletter. This
- 2:46Speaker 1: song's amazing, and my newsletter goes out there like two
- 2:49Speaker 1: hund thousand people, and I had to drop it. You know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it was it was like it was like when I
- 2:56Speaker 1: saw it, you know, it was like a blessing of
- 3:00Speaker 1: because it made me feel good. And it also made
- 3:02Speaker 1: me feel that the relevancy of who you are as
- 3:06Speaker 1: a as a person who still delivers a powerful message,
- 3:09Speaker 1: a person who still has the gift that God gave
- 3:11Speaker 1: you to sing and to inspire. So when when when
- 3:15Speaker 1: a person like me who just you know, just walking
- 3:18Speaker 1: down the street. Now you're kind of like walking down
- 3:19Speaker 1: the street and you see a beautiful car go by,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you see it amazing building, you see this beautiful tree.
- 3:26Speaker 1: That's what it was to me when I came across
- 3:28Speaker 1: your video on my feet talk about that that ability
- 3:32Speaker 1: to that God is giving you to make those type
- 3:35Speaker 1: of responses or reaction from people like me. Hm, wow,
- 3:40Speaker 1: well that is such a blessing. First of all, thank
- 3:43Speaker 1: you so much. It's amazing that, um, the power of
- 3:47Speaker 1: you pushing the button, how many people you reached, that's
- 3:50Speaker 1: just overwhelming to me. And so thank you so much
- 3:54Speaker 1: for sharing, um, the good news. You know, I am.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I'm blessed to be able to to give good news.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And I don't take it lightly. The the position that
- 4:06Speaker 1: God has given me, the influence that He's allowed me
- 4:09Speaker 1: to have, the people's lives. Um, it's it's important that
- 4:14Speaker 1: it is something that will always uplift people and never
- 4:18Speaker 1: bring them down, you know. And now I want to
- 4:21Speaker 1: say that let's stay right there on their uplift part.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Because you did a concert on TBN. It was March
- 4:26Speaker 1: twenty six is Bleeve bleeve Ford concert it was, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: it was beautiful and at two point five minutes so beautiful,
- 4:34Speaker 1: two point five million people. So I thought it would
- 4:36Speaker 1: beautiful too. Okay, let's go and say boy, let's just
- 4:38Speaker 1: reache on McDonald. It was two point five million people
- 4:40Speaker 1: watch this, okay, and it was o t b N.
- 4:43Speaker 1: But you know me, Stecy, I always like to just
- 4:46Speaker 1: go deeper into what I the people, and I went
- 4:49Speaker 1: to the comments section and and I wanted to just
- 4:51Speaker 1: grab three comments that came out of this and and
- 4:55Speaker 1: and I want to talk about them because one was
- 4:57Speaker 1: from this young ladies, just your music save life. After
- 5:01Speaker 1: my mom passed away, I had a bad depression. I
- 5:04Speaker 1: locked myself in my room listen to your albums over
- 5:07Speaker 1: and over, and it brought me out. Thank you, miss c.
- 5:10Speaker 1: C Wines. Another one was I too lost my daughter
- 5:14Speaker 1: last year, reacting to the earlier coming. I just read
- 5:18Speaker 1: CC's music has been such a calm and effect on me.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I wasn't even looking for this album believe for it,
- 5:24Speaker 1: believe for it, but I guess God knew I needed it,
- 5:28Speaker 1: so Holy Spirit lead me to it. So I listened
- 5:31Speaker 1: to it, and I listened to it and I listened
- 5:32Speaker 1: to it. Thank you, Father for using CC to bring
- 5:35Speaker 1: your message to so many people. I appreciate you, Lord God.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And then the last one was C. C. God richly
- 5:43Speaker 1: blessed you. I was so depressed, but after worshiping you,
- 5:46Speaker 1: wish you listening to your music, I was lifted. I
- 5:50Speaker 1: have tears in my eyes as I write this. Anytime
- 5:52Speaker 1: I listened to your songs. They're so uplifting and they're
- 5:56Speaker 1: such a blessing, you know, not trying to bring this
- 5:59Speaker 1: interview down that trying to get churchy, But when I
- 6:01Speaker 1: read stuff like that, I gotta bring it to your
- 6:03Speaker 1: attention because sometimes I would tell people like you, you're grinders.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And sometimes you can just go,
- 6:08Speaker 1: that's what you know, That's what's what I do. But
- 6:10Speaker 1: you also need to know what you do. You you're
- 6:14Speaker 1: singing your heart, your your blessings, how they affect people.
- 6:17Speaker 1: When I read something like that, knowing that you are
- 6:20Speaker 1: tied to the church founded the church in Nashville. Talked
- 6:23Speaker 1: to my artists for a minute about that. Um, well,
- 6:27Speaker 1: first of all, it makes me want to cry, brings
- 6:30Speaker 1: tears to my eyes. Um, you know for sure when
- 6:35Speaker 1: I was let me see, I was probably about seventeen
- 6:39Speaker 1: years old when BB and I started singing, and um,
- 6:44Speaker 1: when I was older than that. I was older that
- 6:46Speaker 1: we started it on the TV show years ago, and
- 6:51Speaker 1: starting out that young as a teenager, um, seventeen eighteen
- 6:56Speaker 1: years old, nineteen years old, you get a lot of
- 6:59Speaker 1: male from young people. And I realized at that time
- 7:05Speaker 1: because I received a piece of male from a young
- 7:08Speaker 1: lady back then, and she was telling me how she
- 7:12Speaker 1: was listening to the radio and how our song came
- 7:14Speaker 1: on the radio and how she was contemplating suicide and
- 7:19Speaker 1: after hearing our songs, she decided to give life another try. Um,
- 7:26Speaker 1: that hit me so hard that I would never forget it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I realized then that my music was not about just entertainment. Yes,
- 7:39Speaker 1: we want people to enjoy it. We want them to
- 7:43Speaker 1: you know, get excited about it, laugh, dance, enjoy it
- 7:48Speaker 1: with with their their their families and all of that
- 7:51Speaker 1: come to the concerts. But I realized that the power
- 7:54Speaker 1: of music, it's powerful enough to really impact people in
- 8:00Speaker 1: such a way that it's it's literally life or death.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And so as a as a as a young person,
- 8:06Speaker 1: I had to rethink what God was sending me to do.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And and so reading those comments and hearing those comments
- 8:15Speaker 1: today that you just shared with me, Um, it just
- 8:18Speaker 1: reinforces the power of music. It's powerful when it's positive,
- 8:24Speaker 1: and it's powerful when it's negative, you know. Um. But
- 8:28Speaker 1: but singing the gospel, singing the scripture, singing the word,
- 8:36Speaker 1: it actually gives life, you know. And so I am
- 8:39Speaker 1: honored I'm privileged to be able to sing gospel music
- 8:43Speaker 1: and I'm humbled that God would use a young lady
- 8:47Speaker 1: from Detroit, Michigan, you know, um to touch people in
- 8:51Speaker 1: such a way that it literally saves their lives. And
- 8:56Speaker 1: so I am speechless. Thank you so much for sharing,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and for those who rode in, thank you so much
- 9:03Speaker 1: for sharing your testimony, because, um, it's life changing for me.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It's why we do what we do. Uh. The awards
- 9:12Speaker 1: are great, you know when you're introducing me all the
- 9:16Speaker 1: the different things that we've won over the years, I'm
- 9:18Speaker 1: so humbled by it, but that's not why we do
- 9:21Speaker 1: what we do. We do what we do to hear
- 9:24Speaker 1: those testimonies that you just share. It's finally here, the
- 9:28Speaker 1: season of celebration, and no matter how you celebrate with
- 9:32Speaker 1: family and friends, whether you're preparing for reys magos or

- 10:09Speaker 1: to the health and well being of our communities. No

- 10:15Speaker 1: right where you belong. So this season, give with all
- 10:19Speaker 1: your heart with great gifts from Coals or Coals dot Com.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And we're live here outside the Perez family home, just
- 10:26Speaker 1: waiting for the and there they go, almost on time.
- 10:29Speaker 1: This morning. Mom is coming out the front door strong
- 10:32Speaker 1: with a double arm kid carry. Looks like Dad has
- 10:35Speaker 1: the bags. Daughter is bringing up the rear. Oh but
- 10:38Speaker 1: the diaper bag wasn't closed. Diapers and toys are everywhere.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Oh but Mom has just nailed the perfect car seat
- 10:46Speaker 1: buckle for the toddler. And now the eldest daughter, who
- 10:50Speaker 1: looks to be about nine or ten, has secured herself
- 10:53Speaker 1: and the booster seat. Dad zips the bag clothes and
- 10:55Speaker 1: they're off. Ah, but looks like Mom doesn't realize her
- 10:59Speaker 1: coffee cup is still on the roof of the car
- 11:01Speaker 1: and there it goes. Oh, that's a shame that mug
- 11:06Speaker 1: was a fan favorite. Don't sweat the small stuff, just
- 11:09Speaker 1: nail the big stuff, like making sure your kids are
- 11:11Speaker 1: buckled correctly in the right seat for their agent's eyes.

- 11:54Speaker 1: that's why I wanted to share them with you. You know,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I could say when I do interviews, I try to
- 11:57Speaker 1: like take the perspective of where I'm talking to you.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm talking to you kind of admiration. I feel blessed
- 12:03Speaker 1: that I have this conversation to share with my audience
- 12:05Speaker 1: and want to make conversations. CC Windings is coming on
- 12:07Speaker 1: my show. What we're gonna talk about, what we're gonna
- 12:09Speaker 1: talk about this album, but we need to talk about
- 12:12Speaker 1: how you are, Like they say, you're you're very aware
- 12:16Speaker 1: of the times of communications and and that's what you said, Rashan,
- 12:19Speaker 1: just clicking a button. I sent your video out to
- 12:22Speaker 1: two hunion thousand people not clicking another button on Mother's Day.
- 12:26Speaker 1: You started a podcast and it's all Generations And that's
- 12:30Speaker 1: why I love about you because some people can get
- 12:34Speaker 1: stuck in their ways. Well this works for me, you know,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and I'm creel with it. But when you realize you
- 12:39Speaker 1: are an international talent, Okay, it's gonna be real not CC,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you are an international talent. That podcast allows you to
- 12:47Speaker 1: personalize your message but also reach people in the South
- 12:51Speaker 1: Africa and Brazil and Jamaica, in Russia and the Germany
- 12:55Speaker 1: and England. Talk about why you started Generations Indy and
- 13:01Speaker 1: why you started on Mother's Day and great, great, thank
- 13:06Speaker 1: you so much for bringing that up. Even what you're
- 13:09Speaker 1: saying as far as embracing the times, embracing the new
- 13:12Speaker 1: way of doing things. It's not easy because you know,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I've been out here doing this a long time, and uh,
- 13:18Speaker 1: the industry has changed drastically from the time that you know,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I started and now um, and so getting used to
- 13:27Speaker 1: the all the Instagrams and the facebooks and everything that's
- 13:32Speaker 1: happening now the podcast it's just, UM, it can be overwhelming,
- 13:36Speaker 1: but you have to be willing to embrace change. You
- 13:40Speaker 1: have to be willing to to do the new, you know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: because what God has given me. Um, I have the
- 13:48Speaker 1: responsibility of stewarding it will you know, and UM, it's
- 13:53Speaker 1: it's it brings challenges, but we all have to be willing.
- 13:56Speaker 1: If you're want to grow, you have to be willing
- 13:59Speaker 1: to embrace challenging times, you know, and challenges that's how
- 14:02Speaker 1: we grow. And so but but but Generations. Ah, I've
- 14:08Speaker 1: been wanting to start rather as a conference or ministry
- 14:14Speaker 1: for for everybody, but especially women, UM of different ages
- 14:20Speaker 1: you know. Um. Like I said, when I started out,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I was about oh, singing professionally, maybe about sixteen years old.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'm fifty six now, soon to be fifty seven, and
- 14:32Speaker 1: my mom is still with me, who's an amazing woman
- 14:35Speaker 1: of God. And a lot of times we live in
- 14:37Speaker 1: this culture that we as we get older, people seem
- 14:41Speaker 1: to think you lose your value. But I I believe
- 14:44Speaker 1: that you become more valuable the older you get. Um
- 14:47Speaker 1: And my mom is still with me. She's eighty four
- 14:50Speaker 1: years old, soon to be eighty five. And I wanted
- 14:54Speaker 1: to make sure, you know, because so many times we
- 14:56Speaker 1: sit back and after someone's gone, we wish we would
- 14:58Speaker 1: have done this, We wish we would have done that.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And I want to encourage everybody who's hearing me today,
- 15:03Speaker 1: move on what God has put in your heart. Stop
- 15:07Speaker 1: waiting for the perfect time, because the perfect time is now.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know. It's never a perfect time to do, to do,
- 15:14Speaker 1: to step out and to do the new, you know.
- 15:17Speaker 1: And so coming together, it was important to bring my
- 15:21Speaker 1: mom and now to bring my daughter who's a new mom,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and so that we could understand the the power of generations,
- 15:30Speaker 1: the power of love, the power of family, the power
- 15:34Speaker 1: of God's faithfulness to every generation, and also to find
- 15:38Speaker 1: out and to learn, you know, I I am who
- 15:41Speaker 1: I am today because I had a mother who took
- 15:44Speaker 1: out time to pour into me. Um And and we
- 15:48Speaker 1: have to take out time to pour into the younger generation.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I'm here to pour into my daughter. Because your prayer
- 15:55Speaker 1: for your children is that they will do better than
- 15:58Speaker 1: what you've done. Absolutely, and that's really important that you
- 16:03Speaker 1: say that because it's not about paying it for It's
- 16:06Speaker 1: just that you know, I was, I have a daughter.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I've been blessed, married thirty three years. So you got
- 16:10Speaker 1: me by four he got me a boy four years. Okay, okay,
- 16:12Speaker 1: good by for you and so and you know those
- 16:16Speaker 1: those years they have challenges because nothing's ever easy. But
- 16:21Speaker 1: it's about communication. It's about communication when we look at it.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And when you say, when you talk about change, I
- 16:25Speaker 1: remember when I was managing Steve Harvey. You know we
- 16:27Speaker 1: had this uh I was resisting the Twitter and the
- 16:31Speaker 1: social media because we had a radio for Man that
- 16:34Speaker 1: was syndicated. We had a fan club or like a
- 16:37Speaker 1: million fan club subscribers like go, why do I need
- 16:40Speaker 1: this new technology? Because you need it because you have
- 16:44Speaker 1: to be able to be topical, You have to be relevant.
- 16:46Speaker 1: You have to be able to understand how people are communicating,
- 16:49Speaker 1: not saying what you're doing, and you shouldn't stop what
- 16:51Speaker 1: you're doing, like and I still have a news letter,
- 16:53Speaker 1: but I also social media, also have well, I also
- 16:56Speaker 1: have podcasts. I also do things on YouTube. All these
- 17:00Speaker 1: things have value, and all these things can bring in revenue.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Now in your whole world that you have created, you know,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and these blessings that you received and been recognized for
- 17:11Speaker 1: leave for it is your first live recorded album. Now,
- 17:15Speaker 1: let's let's walk through that, because I'm just going back
- 17:17Speaker 1: to your c C. You know, I'm like, you know,
- 17:19Speaker 1: Marvin Gay live, you know, Frankie Beverly Amazed live and
- 17:23Speaker 1: do all this. You know, I'm that type of live
- 17:26Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah that, And but here
- 17:29Speaker 1: in your live, you know, it was a different lie.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I wasn't trying to party. I was just sitting there
- 17:34Speaker 1: being inspired and being able to think about myself in
- 17:38Speaker 1: a positive way. And so why did you wait this
- 17:41Speaker 1: long for your first live recording? And what did you
- 17:45Speaker 1: get out of what? What was you received out of
- 17:48Speaker 1: a CC when you when you when you brought everybody
- 17:51Speaker 1: together and then they went it's a rap. Yeah I
- 17:57Speaker 1: love that question. We'll first of all, I don't have
- 18:01Speaker 1: a good answer for you why I waited so long?
- 18:04Speaker 1: Because I love the experience of life worship live concerts.
- 18:09Speaker 1: We've toured for years and there's nothing like it, you know.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But also I guess for me in the studio, when
- 18:16Speaker 1: you do a recording in the studio, you're able to
- 18:18Speaker 1: kind of listen to it, tweak it, fix this, make
- 18:22Speaker 1: sure you know. So that's the value to me and
- 18:25Speaker 1: doing in the studio. But I think we just got
- 18:28Speaker 1: busy with life and never took out the time to
- 18:30Speaker 1: record a live record. I've done live videos, but never
- 18:34Speaker 1: released the record that was live. And and again, I
- 18:38Speaker 1: just don't have a good answer. I just didn't take
- 18:40Speaker 1: out the time. But but this was the time, um,
- 18:46Speaker 1: And now that I look back, I see it was
- 18:48Speaker 1: really the time because we had planned it before the
- 18:51Speaker 1: pandemic happened, and when the pandemic happened, Um, we had
- 18:57Speaker 1: to cancel everything because you're first live record, you know,
- 19:01Speaker 1: we were we were having it at a place where
- 19:03Speaker 1: we wanted about four or five thousand people, and so
- 19:07Speaker 1: that wasn't gonna work. And so now I'm looking at
- 19:11Speaker 1: doing my first live record with no people, right right right,
- 19:21Speaker 1: So so we canceled it, Richard, and then we uh
- 19:26Speaker 1: later on towards the end of the year. I felt
- 19:29Speaker 1: like it was time. It's like, we have to release
- 19:32Speaker 1: this and probably even more so because of the pandemic.
- 19:36Speaker 1: A lot of people were isolated. A lot of people
- 19:39Speaker 1: didn't have family members. You just said, how you've been
- 19:42Speaker 1: married thirty three years. I've been married almost well thirty
- 19:45Speaker 1: seven years and uh um. But a lot of people
- 19:49Speaker 1: didn't have family, you know, a lot of people were hurting,
- 19:52Speaker 1: a lot of people lost family, And so I felt
- 19:54Speaker 1: like this record was something that was really needed to
- 19:57Speaker 1: create a live experience where I mean, churches were closed down.
- 20:02Speaker 1: A lot of people couldn't go to church, you know,
- 20:04Speaker 1: and um, that's rough. You used to be in the
- 20:07Speaker 1: in the sanctuary with more people and worshiping together. That's
- 20:11Speaker 1: a big uh gap in your life when you can't
- 20:15Speaker 1: have it. And so I felt like this record was
- 20:19Speaker 1: right on time to help people right where they were, um,
- 20:24Speaker 1: going through the pandemic and understanding that God was with them,
- 20:30Speaker 1: to let them know that they're not forgotten, to let
- 20:33Speaker 1: them know, you know, uh, don't give up, don't give in. Um,
- 20:39Speaker 1: do the things that we need to do to protect ourselves.
- 20:42Speaker 1: But but let's praise God through through the situations and
- 20:47Speaker 1: and so after we finished this record, we had people praying.
- 20:51Speaker 1: You know, I think during that time you could have
- 20:53Speaker 1: maybe fifty people. And so I brought people in who
- 20:56Speaker 1: I knew, knew how to pray, and they pray. They
- 21:00Speaker 1: prayed throughout that audience. UM, and we had a great time.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And after we were done, I was like, Lord, I
- 21:09Speaker 1: thank you for your love because I felt the love
- 21:12Speaker 1: of God in that room and my prayers that it
- 21:15Speaker 1: would be so strong that when people heard it that
- 21:18Speaker 1: they would feel it. What grows in the forest trees,
- 21:22Speaker 1: Sure you know what else grows in the forest, our imagination,
- 21:26Speaker 1: our sense of wonder, and our family bonds grow too,
- 21:29Speaker 1: because when we disconnect from this and connect with this,
- 21:36Speaker 1: we reconnect with each other. The forest is closer than
- 21:39Speaker 1: you think. Find a forest near you and start exploring.

- 21:56Speaker 1: wild fare, but I'm feeling it because there's a lot
- 21:59Speaker 1: more to report, like when they're parched or windy, conditions
- 22:02Speaker 1: out there, you gotta be extra careful with things like
- 22:05Speaker 1: burning yard wide. After all, wildfires can start anywhere, even

- 22:28Speaker 1: see the wrinkled face of a wizard with arms outstretched
- 22:31Speaker 1: to the sky. They see treasure and pebbles. They see
- 22:35Speaker 1: a windy path that could lead to adventure, and they
- 22:38Speaker 1: see you. They're fearless. Guide. Is this fascinating world? Find
- 22:42Speaker 1: a forest near you and start exploring and discover the
- 22:45Speaker 1: forest dot Org brought to you by the United States
- 22:48Speaker 1: Forest Service and the AD Council. Well, that's that's beautiful,
- 22:52Speaker 1: you know. The fun the front part about it is
- 22:54Speaker 1: that you know, I'll be tell you because it's by
- 22:56Speaker 1: being honest. I'm not a daily church coll or weekly
- 22:59Speaker 1: curpe okay, you know, but when I go to church,
- 23:02Speaker 1: the people even understand this is what sean talking. When
- 23:05Speaker 1: I sit down on that pew and somebody maybe to
- 23:08Speaker 1: the left of me, maybe to the right. Because I
- 23:10Speaker 1: always get on the end. I was I like getting
- 23:11Speaker 1: on the end. That's what I said. I would sit
- 23:13Speaker 1: on the end. I might be on the end, on
- 23:15Speaker 1: the left of the end, of the right. That's that's
- 23:16Speaker 1: why I sit. I just I get up and let
- 23:18Speaker 1: them go past me. But it's something about um being
- 23:22Speaker 1: in the church that allows you just to be in
- 23:26Speaker 1: the church. It really is. I don't think about my job,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I don't think about my problems, and what I do
- 23:34Speaker 1: think about is what I can do with my life
- 23:37Speaker 1: and the people I care about. And I also think
- 23:40Speaker 1: about forgiving my enemies because I I said prayer, I
- 23:44Speaker 1: always I pray for the people I care about, and
- 23:47Speaker 1: I also pray for the people that are my enemies
- 23:50Speaker 1: because they need to be blessed for some reasons why
- 23:52Speaker 1: they I don't know why they're not my enemies, but
- 23:54Speaker 1: they're my enemies. But guess what, I'm gonna still gonna
- 23:56Speaker 1: get your blessing in my prayer. And so being the
- 23:59Speaker 1: person you know, one of the founding pastors of Nashville
- 24:03Speaker 1: Life Church and hearing me say this is is that
- 24:08Speaker 1: what is the what is what is the goal? When
- 24:09Speaker 1: you see a person like me sitting there and you
- 24:13Speaker 1: got the choir singing, you got the the people who
- 24:17Speaker 1: are naunted preaching and serving the word of God, what
- 24:21Speaker 1: is that goal? The goal is for you to have
- 24:24Speaker 1: an encounter without Heavenly Father. The goal is for you
- 24:28Speaker 1: to just what you were saying, for you to receive
- 24:32Speaker 1: what you need. You know, we all come in the church.
- 24:37Speaker 1: The church is UM. It's it's a spiritual hospital. We
- 24:42Speaker 1: come in for healing. Some of us need healing physically.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Some of us need healing from a broken heart. Some
- 24:49Speaker 1: of us need healing from you know, the stress that
- 24:52Speaker 1: we've been under. You want to be refreshed. You want
- 24:56Speaker 1: to be renewed, your mind to be renewed. You want
- 25:00Speaker 1: to be a place of escape where you forget about
- 25:02Speaker 1: your problems and you forget about everything that you're going through,
- 25:06Speaker 1: so that you can receive the wisdom you need, the
- 25:10Speaker 1: love you need, the power you need. A lot of times,
- 25:13Speaker 1: you have to be reminded of who you are. You know,
- 25:16Speaker 1: so many times we can focus on what we don't have.
- 25:18Speaker 1: We forget the blessings that we already had. UM And
- 25:22Speaker 1: so it's a great place to come to and, like
- 25:24Speaker 1: you said, so that you can learn to forgive, to forgive,
- 25:28Speaker 1: because a lot of times people are walking unforgiveness and
- 25:32Speaker 1: they think they're hurting the other person, but unforgiven, that's
- 25:34Speaker 1: only hurts you to bring. Yeah, it weighs you down,
- 25:38Speaker 1: you know. And so our goal is always for people
- 25:41Speaker 1: to have an encounter with Jesus, to have an encounter
- 25:44Speaker 1: with the love of God, because it's through that supernatural
- 25:48Speaker 1: touch that your life has changed. So when you go
- 25:51Speaker 1: back out, um, you'll go back out different and seeing
- 25:55Speaker 1: things from a different perspective. Well, I'm talking to hit
- 25:59Speaker 1: album Believe for it is uh is incredible. You should
- 26:05Speaker 1: like she said she was. She was wondering how to
- 26:07Speaker 1: record it because of COVID. She lost the four thousand
- 26:10Speaker 1: seat all the end, and she she broke like, I
- 26:12Speaker 1: love what she said. I brought fifty people in that
- 26:14Speaker 1: reshow who knew how to pray. You know, they knew
- 26:16Speaker 1: how to pray because you pit your real church. You're
- 26:20Speaker 1: sitting next to somebody who know how to pray. You go,
- 26:22Speaker 1: you got you whoever you're talking to, can you let
- 26:24Speaker 1: me talk to him too, because they praying over there? Okay,
- 26:27Speaker 1: can I get in that conversation, because you got it
- 26:29Speaker 1: all going on right there. But I just want to
- 26:31Speaker 1: talk before and let you go about being a trail plazer,
- 26:34Speaker 1: because you know, we sit up here talking about not
- 26:37Speaker 1: you know, resisting to change. But in eighteen eighty nine
- 26:41Speaker 1: you launched the Pure Springs gospel record label. Okay, now
- 26:45Speaker 1: see see that's why I gotta bring up. I love
- 26:47Speaker 1: talking to people like CC because they act like they
- 26:49Speaker 1: well you know, I don't like change, Rishan, but sitting
- 26:52Speaker 1: right out there doing change, making change with everybody's going,
- 26:56Speaker 1: why are you doing that? Girl? Just go sign that
- 26:58Speaker 1: lab over there with that record, they get that check.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Do your own time. You're doing too much work. But
- 27:03Speaker 1: in the t in that that didn't work for you,
- 27:06Speaker 1: tell us about that. As an entrepreneur, Well, you know
- 27:10Speaker 1: when you you know, you when I began in this
- 27:12Speaker 1: business again, you're you're young, and you're just excited about
- 27:16Speaker 1: doing what you do as far as the gift of singing.
- 27:19Speaker 1: But you you find out early on that it's a business.
- 27:23Speaker 1: You know that the record business is a business, and
- 27:28Speaker 1: and you go through a few things that you recognize, oh,
- 27:32Speaker 1: this is the way it works, This is what makes sense.
- 27:34Speaker 1: You know, you're spending your your time, you're giving everything
- 27:38Speaker 1: you have. You want to have something to show for it.
- 27:41Speaker 1: You know, you want to be you want to be
- 27:43Speaker 1: a wise steward over what God has given you. And
- 27:46Speaker 1: so I had wonderful people around me to let me
- 27:49Speaker 1: know you could do it. That that encouraged me, because
- 27:52Speaker 1: a lot of times we look at things, Richard, and
- 27:54Speaker 1: we think that it's it's too hard, it's something that
- 27:57Speaker 1: we can't do. It's not that people don't want to
- 28:00Speaker 1: do it all the time. A lot of times they
- 28:01Speaker 1: feel like they're um, you know, don't have what it takes.
- 28:06Speaker 1: But but everybody can learn. You know, you have to
- 28:09Speaker 1: be patient and you have to ask questions. And so
- 28:12Speaker 1: we were able to do that and start our own
- 28:14Speaker 1: label years ago, and I'm so glad I made a
- 28:18Speaker 1: major difference and what I was seeing before from my
- 28:23Speaker 1: labor um and what I was seeing afterwards. And and
- 28:28Speaker 1: so I started educating people and telling people that yeah,
- 28:32Speaker 1: if I could, if I did it, you can do
- 28:33Speaker 1: it too. You can do it too. And a lot
- 28:36Speaker 1: of my friends embrace that, you know, in the industry
- 28:40Speaker 1: and started thinking from the entrepreneur side opposed to UM
- 28:47Speaker 1: just being an artice, you know, to understanding the importance
- 28:50Speaker 1: of of owning and the importance of being in charge,
- 28:54Speaker 1: the importance of because that's another thing, especially as a
- 28:57Speaker 1: gospel artist, you want to make sure that when you
- 29:00Speaker 1: talk about your brand that you're having the last say
- 29:04Speaker 1: so because it's not about me. I represent the Father.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I represent Um, the one who created all things and
- 29:12Speaker 1: who gave us this gift. And and my my aim
- 29:15Speaker 1: when we were talking about the goal even in churches,
- 29:18Speaker 1: that people will have an encounter with Jesus, that they
- 29:21Speaker 1: will receive Um supernatural peace and hope and and all
- 29:27Speaker 1: of those good things that God brings. And so it's
- 29:29Speaker 1: so important to protect your brand UM. When it comes
- 29:32Speaker 1: to that as well, you have to go you have
- 29:34Speaker 1: to go above and be I, you know, because it's
- 29:38Speaker 1: not about me, but it's about the people that we
- 29:40Speaker 1: serve that they will be touched with UM in the
- 29:44Speaker 1: right way. And so yeah, being an entrepreneur, yeah you
- 29:48Speaker 1: have to be more into the details. But it's it's
- 29:52Speaker 1: it's so worth it in so many ways. And I
- 29:55Speaker 1: want to encourage people to to think differently, to understand
- 29:59Speaker 1: that you and be a business owner, you you want
- 30:04Speaker 1: to be involved in and and what's happening not just
- 30:08Speaker 1: in your life, but all the opportunities that are out here.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Even during this pandemic, even though a lot of things
- 30:14Speaker 1: closed down, a lot of things opened up, you know.
- 30:17Speaker 1: And again it's how do you look at it? Do
- 30:20Speaker 1: you look at it as oh no, or do you
- 30:22Speaker 1: look at it this? Could this be an opportunity? Is this?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Is there an opportunity here for me? And praying and
- 30:28Speaker 1: asking God, you know, Lord, you've given me gifts. We
- 30:31Speaker 1: all have individual gifts and very unique gifts. And and
- 30:36Speaker 1: and if you pray and ask the Lord to show you,
- 30:39Speaker 1: he will. He'll show you. And before you know it,
- 30:42Speaker 1: you'll be operating in a in a whole different way,
- 30:46Speaker 1: in your whole life will be affected by it. Wow.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Like I said earlier, there's no stopping c C. Why
- 30:53Speaker 1: not twelve times Grammy Award winning, twenty three times Double
- 30:56Speaker 1: Awards winning, fifteen times Stellar Ward winning. But more importantly,
- 31:00Speaker 1: she has a hit album out called Believe for It
- 31:03Speaker 1: It Is. It's evolve changed my life. Like I said,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you know, the pandemic, I was watching Netflix, Amazon, then
- 31:09Speaker 1: it came across the stream. I saw her live. I said,
- 31:13Speaker 1: whoa cec back glad at Mercy. I gotta spread the word,
- 31:18Speaker 1: and I'm glad you came on Money Making Conversations Cee,
