- 2:16Speaker 8: real good today. You ought to feel blessed today. The
- 2:20Speaker 8: fact that God woke you up and gave you another opportunity.
- 2:23Speaker 8: You know, every day you wake up, it's another chance.
- 2:25Speaker 2: It's a chance for all of us to get better,
- 2:28Speaker 2: to get it right, to get on the right path,
- 2:31Speaker 2: to stop heading the wrong way. Every day you wake up,
- 2:34Speaker 2: that's your opportunity. See, because He's gonna keep waking you
- 2:38Speaker 2: up because he has a plan for you. You know,
- 2:42Speaker 2: I don't know, uh you know, I don't. I don't.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I don't know when he makes his call, and you
- 2:51Speaker 2: know who gets called home when I can't explain it
- 2:53Speaker 2: I don't have that answer. I'm not him, I'm not God.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I don't claim to be.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I don't.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I don't understand it all some times. But God has
- 3:01Speaker 2: an amazing way. But as long as he's waking you up,
- 3:05Speaker 2: I do know this, God ain't through with you yet.
- 3:08Speaker 2: God has a plan for you. Your job is to
- 3:11Speaker 2: identify identify the plan. You know, that's that's clearly what
- 3:15Speaker 2: I need for you to do. You know, oftentimes the
- 3:20Speaker 2: thing that you're looking for, it's right there inside of you.
- 3:25Speaker 9: You know.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many people I meet. Mister Harvey,
- 3:29Speaker 2: mister Harby. Can I speak to you for a minute? Yeah? Man,
- 3:31Speaker 2: what's up with you?
- 3:33Speaker 3: Man?
- 3:33Speaker 2: I was just wondering. Man, I've been trying to and
- 3:35Speaker 2: I want to know, man, can you give me a
- 3:37Speaker 2: good agent? Can you give me a good lawyer? Can
- 3:41Speaker 2: you give me a good Now? Look, if you got
- 3:43Speaker 2: some legal problems, I understand you're gonna need some help
- 3:46Speaker 2: right there. But the majority of questions I get asked
- 3:49Speaker 2: is about their future, about their place in this world,
- 3:51Speaker 2: about their mission, about what they're trying to do, how
- 3:54Speaker 2: they trying to figure out, and then the how to
- 3:57Speaker 2: go about doing it. But The answer I'm must remind
- 4:00Speaker 2: all of you is always within yourself. It starts right there.
- 4:05Speaker 2: See a lot of people burn up a lot of
- 4:07Speaker 2: time looking around trying to find someone. If I could
- 4:12Speaker 2: just meet them, if I could just get on her show. Man,
- 4:17Speaker 2: if all, if I could just get to his show,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I beating made it. That's not necessarily the case. Because See,
- 4:26Speaker 2: just like every time you put your put your faith
- 4:31Speaker 2: in a person or an event or currence or some
- 4:35Speaker 2: type of thing that you imagine yourself being in there
- 4:38Speaker 2: and that'll do it for you. Imagine of all the
- 4:40Speaker 2: people who've made it without you know, I look at everybody.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Tell me, Man, if I could get on so and
- 4:44Speaker 2: so show, that'll do it for me. Man, somebody else
- 4:47Speaker 2: got on that show and they blew up. Man, if
- 4:49Speaker 2: I could just make it to that show, do you
- 4:51Speaker 2: know how many people have made it without that? So, see,
- 4:55Speaker 2: when you start focusing in on what your idea of
- 4:59Speaker 2: how to make it is, and your idea of how
- 5:01Speaker 2: to make it does not include your relationship with God.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You spinning your wheels. Man, It's a vicious cycle you
- 5:08Speaker 2: in now, and I'm asking everybody to get out of
- 5:11Speaker 2: that cycle. Get out of looking for someone and something.
- 5:15Speaker 2: The answer is within you. God resides in you. That
- 5:19Speaker 2: burning thing that you have that you just can't get
- 5:22Speaker 2: out your head, that's a seed. God plant that there.
- 5:26Speaker 2: That's a seed. It needs watering, nurturing, fertilizing. That's what
- 5:31Speaker 2: it needs.
- 5:32Speaker 9: It didn't it.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Don't ever say, man, I need that other person right
- 5:35Speaker 2: there now. There are people you will meet that will
- 5:38Speaker 2: compliment you, and I can assure you that God will
- 5:40Speaker 2: put you in the right place at the right time.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I'm almost certain that God will introduce you to everybody
- 5:47Speaker 2: you need to be introduced to to make it to
- 5:49Speaker 2: wherever it is. You all are trying to get to
- 5:52Speaker 2: him talking about you and God now, But the moment
- 5:54Speaker 2: you take it into your own hands and you make
- 5:57Speaker 2: the decision as to who you got to get to
- 6:00Speaker 2: just clouded and muddied the waters. See God's plan for
- 6:04Speaker 2: you don't really need your help. Oh, it needs your attention,
- 6:10Speaker 2: It needs your focus, it needs your faith, and it
- 6:13Speaker 2: needs your hard work. But He needs you to listen.
- 6:18Speaker 2: He needs you to listen more than anything. Listen, keep
- 6:21Speaker 2: the faith and be willing to work your tail off.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I don't know how you think it can happen any
- 6:28Speaker 2: other way. But then again I do because I try
- 6:32Speaker 2: to make it another way. So I had to come
- 6:35Speaker 2: to the conclusion, Hey man, listen here, dog, this ain't
- 6:39Speaker 2: working for you. You got to get some more God, here, man,
- 6:42Speaker 2: listen to me. The answer was always within me, the
- 6:48Speaker 2: moment I sat down with myself and told myself the
- 6:52Speaker 2: truth that he partner, you ain't really all that, hey, partner,
- 6:56Speaker 2: regardless as to what people are seeing and stuff, you
- 6:59Speaker 2: ain't happy. Hey Pardner, this really ain't about you. Hey Pardner,
- 7:04Speaker 2: you really ain't all that good at this. God is
- 7:08Speaker 2: keeping you for a reason. Okay, hold up, Steve, quit tripping.
- 7:12Speaker 2: What I need to do. I just started talking to
- 7:14Speaker 2: myself and then I heard Bishop Jakes say a couple
- 7:18Speaker 2: of things. Then I was watching TV. I heard Joel
- 7:20Speaker 2: Oldstein say a couple of things and I went, wow, man, okay, cool,
- 7:25Speaker 2: that's pretty slick. I'm gonna try that. And when I
- 7:27Speaker 2: did it, it changed my life. I am telling you, man,
- 7:31Speaker 2: it has been God this whole time, and the God
- 7:35Speaker 2: has been residing inside of me, just like the God
- 7:38Speaker 2: resides on the inside of you. That's Him talking to you,
- 7:42Speaker 2: telling you, man, you ought to get it together. Man
- 7:45Speaker 2: making you feel bad. It's sending you on guilt trips,
- 7:48Speaker 2: you knowing you wrong, and you out there wrong and
- 7:50Speaker 2: something telling you you are not do it. Here's how
- 7:54Speaker 2: you know. It's God. And Bishop Alma taught me this
- 7:57Speaker 2: in his book He's Got I can't think of the
- 8:00Speaker 2: name of it right now, but it's a really good book.
- 8:03Speaker 2: But it says in that man. Bishop Olmer was talking
- 8:06Speaker 2: in this book and he was saying, the way you
- 8:09Speaker 2: know is not God's voice is if it ain't no
- 8:13Speaker 2: sin in it. See how many times have you made
- 8:17Speaker 2: up in your mind, I'm gonna show this person or
- 8:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna show that person, or I'm gonna get this
- 8:22Speaker 2: person back. You hurt me, I'm gonna hurt you. You
- 8:26Speaker 2: know the Lord don't like ugly. I'll show you. Well,
- 8:29Speaker 2: the Lord don't like ugly. But noway in that does
- 8:32Speaker 2: it's safe for you to go show them? It doesn't
- 8:35Speaker 2: say that. See, so when you strike out on that mission,
- 8:40Speaker 2: you know the God knows in my heart I loved you,
- 8:43Speaker 2: but I got to do this because you did me.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Who whah, whoah, who ain't got nothing to do with God?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Right there? You can take him out of it. If
- 8:49Speaker 2: it's God, has no sin in it. So anytime somebody
- 8:54Speaker 2: come to me talking about the Lord told me to
- 8:58Speaker 2: do this to you, and that's the only reason not
- 9:00Speaker 2: doing it, you need to get yourself right with God.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I had all them threats right there. That ain't God
- 9:05Speaker 2: talking to me through you. What are you crazy? If
- 9:09Speaker 2: it's God, it has no sin in it. So you
- 9:11Speaker 2: got to be careful man, when you talking to people.
- 9:14Speaker 2: If we're gonna go down here and we're gonna do
- 9:15Speaker 2: this because this is the right thing to do, if
- 9:18Speaker 2: it has something wrong going on, then it can't be
- 9:21Speaker 2: the right thing to do. Took me a minute to
- 9:25Speaker 2: learn that one. But please get that through your head
- 9:28Speaker 2: so you can quit spinning yourself around and remember everything
- 9:32Speaker 2: you're looking for is within you. It's all right there.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Quit wasting your time looking around all the time. Go
- 9:40Speaker 2: to your God, man, talk to him. Go to that
- 9:44Speaker 2: spirit that's on the inside of you that's calling you.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Stop letting people shake your tree. At the end of
- 9:50Speaker 2: the day, somebody gonna be right, somebody gonna be wrong.
- 9:52Speaker 2: All right, y'all, we're gonna have to go on day
- 9:54Speaker 2: tripping a little bit, going.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Through something you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls, your attention is required,
- 10:08Speaker 2: just for a brief second. Realize, acknowledge, please that God
- 10:15Speaker 2: has done it again, and He's done it for you.
- 10:22Speaker 2: He created this day for you. If it wasn't for you,
- 10:24Speaker 2: you wouldn't be involved in it. He did this for you.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Come on, man, y'all.
- 10:30Speaker 2: If I could get everybody on the same page with
- 10:34Speaker 2: waking up in the morning and realizing what a great
- 10:37Speaker 2: gift it is, it's such a blessing.
- 10:39Speaker 10: Man.
- 10:40Speaker 2: It stops some of the negative attitudes that some people
- 10:43Speaker 2: have when they wake up. No negative attitude, All gratitude. Baby, Yeah,
- 10:48Speaker 2: this is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Shirley Strawberry calling
- 10:51Speaker 2: for real Mississippi, Monica Junior and the Legend of Nephew
- 10:55Speaker 2: Tommy Junior. Going on with you. Man, you've been happy
- 10:59Speaker 2: a lot lately.
- 11:01Speaker 5: I'm pretty happy.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I can say that.
- 11:04Speaker 11: But let me ask you one thing up at the
- 11:07Speaker 11: end of the year, with the year, so have we
- 11:12Speaker 11: hit our goals? If you haven't hit your goals this year,
- 11:14Speaker 11: how would should you view this? If you haven't hit
- 11:16Speaker 11: all your goals this year?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Could we, Bro, I ain't ever hit all my goals
- 11:21Speaker 2: in the year ever. Bro, ain't gonna need to wiping
- 11:26Speaker 2: yourself out about that one of these years, is Bro?
- 11:31Speaker 2: That may not be in God's timing perfect right, you know?
- 11:36Speaker 2: So see a lot of people. I'm glad you asked
- 11:40Speaker 2: that question because a lot of people throw themselves into
- 11:42Speaker 2: something when they don't reach your goal at a certain time,
- 11:46Speaker 2: that was your goal. Did you ever ask God what
- 11:49Speaker 2: he is was for you?
- 11:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 11:53Speaker 2: I got it. I got it, man, I got exactly
- 11:55Speaker 2: what you're saying. This is my goal any way in
- 11:58Speaker 2: your goal? Did you say God's will be done? Come on, man, Man,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I'm just trying to tell you, man, it'll help you
- 12:08Speaker 2: so much. I'd see Juliard have done all that, been mad,
- 12:11Speaker 2: and myself for not accomplishing the goal at a certain time,
- 12:15Speaker 2: get mad because the deal didn't go down at a
- 12:17Speaker 2: certain way I wanted to go down in a certain
- 12:19Speaker 2: amount of time. Then you know what I had to realize,
- 12:23Speaker 2: Sometimes God don't let something happen for your own good.
- 12:29Speaker 6: Brother.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, man, if everything had jumped
- 12:32Speaker 2: off that I wanted to jump off, I'd be in trouble. Doug,
- 12:35Speaker 2: I'll be in some real trouble right now. If every
- 12:40Speaker 2: woman that I thought was fine thought I was fine,
- 12:45Speaker 2: do you know the trouble I'd be in right now.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I'm so grateful. Several of them said you not my type?
- 12:56Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 12:57Speaker 1: What did that one lady say about your face? Sure,
- 13:00Speaker 1: I'll never forget that one.
- 13:02Speaker 2: You'll never forget it because I can't believe I don't
- 13:06Speaker 2: like your facial features for her. I'm in the ninth grade.
- 13:11Speaker 2: That's a hard win to take, see it in how
- 13:13Speaker 2: plastic surgery wasn't even would nobody talked about that, And
- 13:19Speaker 2: even if they talked about it, I didn't have no
- 13:21Speaker 2: money for him. And all they had back then was
- 13:24Speaker 2: a facelift. Looked like somebody was standing behind you with
- 13:26Speaker 2: their foot on the back of your head, just pulling
- 13:29Speaker 2: your jaws apart. That's what it looked like. So yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 2: everybody looked like the joker back then. Oh wow.
- 13:36Speaker 10: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:39Speaker 10: hear from the nephew as he runs that Brenk back
- 13:42Speaker 10: right after this, you're listening save Hardy Morning Show. Hey, everyone,
- 13:52Speaker 10: quick health question even though you're still thriving, still loving,
- 13:55Speaker 10: still connecting. Did you know your immune system weakens with age.
- 13:59Speaker 10: That's where vaccines come in. They help train and strengthen
- 14:02Speaker 10: your immune response to fight off certain respiratory illnesses like flu, newmacacle, pneumonia, RSV,
- 14:08Speaker 10: and COVID nineteen this fall, ask your doctor which vaccines
- 14:12Speaker 10: you need and visit vaxsist dot com that's vaexsist dot
- 14:16Speaker 10: com to schedule one or more of vaccines sponsored by Pfizer.
- 14:22Speaker 10: It is time now to run that prank back with
- 14:24Speaker 10: the nephew.
- 14:25Speaker 1: What you got for his ne f.
- 14:26Speaker 9: Surelie, we got your doors? Your doors. Yeah, the payment
- 14:31Speaker 9: ain't been made on the doors. We got to come
- 14:33Speaker 9: and get all the doors in a half, all the doors.
- 14:37Speaker 9: Let's go cat.
- 14:39Speaker 6: Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a mister Paul. Please
- 14:42Speaker 6: call Virginia Senior, probably senior. Okay, this is me. How
- 14:46Speaker 6: you doing today? I'm good, I'm good. Listen. My name
- 14:48Speaker 6: is Mark. I'm actually calling from a company called Doors.
- 14:52Speaker 6: Are you are you at the court?
- 14:54Speaker 12: Yes?
- 14:54Speaker 6: Correct? You guys just built that home right? Yeah? Okay,
- 14:57Speaker 6: Like I said, my name is Mark Stevens. I'm actually
- 14:59Speaker 6: calling from a Doors. We're actually the company that supplied
- 15:04Speaker 6: the doors that are actually throughout your house.
- 15:07Speaker 13: Okay, great, what are you calling for a follow up?
- 15:09Speaker 6: No, this isn't a follow up. Actually, we're got a
- 15:11Speaker 6: couple of glitches we want to try and get get
- 15:13Speaker 6: straightened out if we could find Well, here's here's the problem, sir.
- 15:17Speaker 6: The problem we're having is that the contractor that actually
- 15:20Speaker 6: built you off home, yes, has not paid for the doors.
- 15:25Speaker 6: You guys have been there two and a half months,
- 15:27Speaker 6: and we can't seem to get the contractor to come
- 15:31Speaker 6: in and pay for the doors. To call them. We've
- 15:34Speaker 6: tried to call them several times and we have not
- 15:36Speaker 6: been able to.
- 15:37Speaker 12: Wait on him because you don't have a good number.
- 15:39Speaker 12: I can give you a number, because I really don't
- 15:42Speaker 12: have anything to do with that, that's fact. How do
- 15:45Speaker 12: you get my number?
- 15:46Speaker 6: Well, actually, we had your number one file as the homeowner,
- 15:48Speaker 6: and that's pretty much how we had you. But the
- 15:51Speaker 6: problem we're facing here, sir, is we've tried to get
- 15:53Speaker 6: this guy for the last couple of months and we
- 15:56Speaker 6: can't get him. So, actually, what's what's going to happen
- 15:59Speaker 6: here and the next day or so is we're probably
- 16:01Speaker 6: gonna have to come and get all the doors.
- 16:04Speaker 13: Oh no, ways can do what.
- 16:05Speaker 6: We're probably gonna have to come and get all the
- 16:07Speaker 6: doors in your house, take them off and bring them
- 16:10Speaker 6: back here to the plant until week we're.
- 16:12Speaker 13: Gonna go get all my doors.
- 16:14Speaker 6: We we're gonna have to get those doors until either
- 16:16Speaker 6: we get a contractor or you know, we get paid
- 16:19Speaker 6: for the doors. Now, what could happen is you could
- 16:21Speaker 6: pay for the doors.
- 16:22Speaker 13: No, no, no, already paid for the doors.
- 16:24Speaker 7: That's that's that's past tense.
- 16:26Speaker 13: I've done that paid. You say't paying? That means I
- 16:29Speaker 13: got to double back.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Well, sir, we haven't been paid, sir for the doors
- 16:32Speaker 6: as well.
- 16:33Speaker 13: No, no, no, the contractor was paid for the doors.
- 16:36Speaker 13: That's who pays you.
- 16:38Speaker 6: Okay, And what I'm trying to explain to you, sir,
- 16:40Speaker 6: we haven't been paid at all here at doors were all.
- 16:45Speaker 12: All all okay, Well I do what they should have
- 16:48Speaker 12: received a check from my contract.
- 16:51Speaker 6: What I mean you, sir, is that that hasn't been done.
- 16:54Speaker 13: I told her, since you have not been paid, you're
- 16:55Speaker 13: gonna come back and get my doors out.
- 16:57Speaker 12: You said, we, Now, who's all this?
- 16:59Speaker 9: You do?
- 16:59Speaker 13: A new army go like here's the problem here, Like
- 17:02Speaker 13: I know, no, ain't no problems.
- 17:03Speaker 12: We're gonna resolve this very peacefully.
- 17:05Speaker 6: But who is Okay, So what's taking place here at
- 17:08Speaker 6: my job is they've taken this money out of my
- 17:11Speaker 6: check that hasn't been paid for the doors.
- 17:13Speaker 12: Oh yes, I can understand that, but why would they
- 17:16Speaker 12: take it out of your check? You did themand hours
- 17:18Speaker 12: you've done your work.
- 17:19Speaker 6: Why don't I understand it? Sir? But since the company
- 17:21Speaker 6: hasn't been paid, the company is taking it out on
- 17:23Speaker 6: me and it's not gonna come down on me. So
- 17:26Speaker 6: either I'm gonna get the doors, well, you need to.
- 17:28Speaker 13: Quit your job because because they need to give you
- 17:31Speaker 13: a not just give you a bonus, but give you
- 17:33Speaker 13: some hourly work.
- 17:34Speaker 12: Because bottom line is he's talking about coming to get
- 17:36Speaker 12: my doors. Now that's not gonna happen.
- 17:39Speaker 6: Either we resolve this peacefully as if you paid for it,
- 17:42Speaker 6: or I come out and get the doors and I'm
- 17:44Speaker 6: not finished city and go back way.
- 17:46Speaker 12: You need to go in and come get these doors.
- 17:48Speaker 12: Gas up and come get these doors. Because you're not
- 17:50Speaker 12: gonna come and get this. I'm not gonna send you
- 17:51Speaker 12: no money, okay, sir.
- 17:53Speaker 6: Then what we need to do is get a schedule
- 17:55Speaker 6: time where I can come out and get all the doors.
- 17:57Speaker 13: Now, I'm on your time.
- 17:58Speaker 6: I'm sorry, I'm on your time. So you got this.

- 24:26Speaker 10: either accept that my husband has other women, or I
- 24:29Speaker 10: could leave him and start from scratch. I haven't worked
- 24:32Speaker 10: in eight years, so it may not be wise to
- 24:35Speaker 10: leave him. We do still have sex, but he wears protection.

- 25:11Speaker 2: what you was thinking when you was growing up as
- 25:15Speaker 2: a little girl wanting to get married? Is this what
- 25:17Speaker 2: you were thinking. I don't care if I ain't worked

- 27:09Speaker 10: to say she bets I won't ever make her that
- 27:11Speaker 10: mad again.

- 27:37Speaker 6: I'm out.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Let me get on out of here now, because that
- 27:39Speaker 2: ain't the first time. You couldn't get cussed out because
- 27:41Speaker 2: she gonna she already know if that didn't get it
- 27:44Speaker 2: a level two?

- 28:32Speaker 10: Moving on last one. This is Roberta and Omaha. Roberta writes,
- 28:37Speaker 10: I'm dating a drunk. He drinks so much wine that
- 28:40Speaker 10: it doesn't phaze him anymore. He can work, drive, and
- 28:43Speaker 10: have a logical conversation with me after drinking a whole
- 28:46Speaker 10: bottle of wine. It's normal for him. Her question is
- 28:50Speaker 10: should I stop bothering him about drinking?
- 28:54Speaker 1: That's what she wants to know.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Well, it's wine, right, so it has a lower alcohol
- 29:03Speaker 2: content than liquor.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 2: If you can drink a whole bottle of wine and
- 29:10Speaker 2: it don't do nothing to you, eventually you're gonna want
- 29:13Speaker 2: it to do something to you, or you're gonna try
- 29:20Speaker 2: something nels You could be she dated or marriage to him.
- 29:28Speaker 1: She's dating him. She's saying, I'm dating or drunk.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Yeah, now you're dating a drunk. You're gonna marry an alcoholic?
- 29:40Speaker 2: This is where it is going. Goodness, I'm dating a drunk.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Yeah, he drinks so much wine that it doesn't even
- 29:48Speaker 1: base him anymore.
- 29:49Speaker 2: He said, oh yeah, yeah, he's a functioning alcoholic. Possibly,
- 29:54Speaker 2: but if you're dating or drunk, you will marry an alcoholic.
- 29:59Speaker 9: Yes, sir, you need to call, you need to go

- 30:20Speaker 14: You know?
- 30:20Speaker 2: All right?
- 30:21Speaker 1: Colo and got the caine out on them.
- 30:25Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 30:28Speaker 1: have some entertainment news for you right after this. You're
- 30:31Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys.
- 30:38Speaker 10: According to CNN, yesterday, the House approved a bill to
- 30:42Speaker 10: end the longest forty three day government shut down in
- 30:46Speaker 10: US history forty three days. President Trump signed the funding
- 30:51Speaker 10: package to officially reopen the government temporarily until January twentieth
- 30:55Speaker 10: of next year. However, it will take time for things
- 30:59Speaker 10: to get back to normal. Hundreds of flights in the
- 31:01Speaker 10: US were canceled daily. There were air traffic control staffing problems.
- 31:06Speaker 10: Federal workers were furloughed and some worked without pay and
- 31:09Speaker 10: now hopefully SNAP recipients will start getting their payment. As
- 31:14Speaker 10: we know, the shutdown started with issues with Obamacare, or
- 31:18Speaker 10: the Affordable Care Act, and Medicaid funding. According to multiple
- 31:22Speaker 10: media outlets, Congress planned. Congress's plans does not extend Affordable
- 31:29Speaker 10: Care Act subsidies, a major goal of Democrats during the shutdown,
- 31:33Speaker 10: but leaves the door open for future negotiations.
- 31:36Speaker 1: They just wanted to get it done.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Okay, let me explain some to THEYDK. That's what it
- 31:43Speaker 2: seems like to regular pear folks. They're not going to negotiate.
- 31:48Speaker 2: The Republicans are going to ram this thing down their
- 31:50Speaker 2: throat like they've always wanted to. Now they got hurt
- 31:54Speaker 2: in this past election. There are a lot of places
- 31:56Speaker 2: went blue because of the way they're being treated. But
- 31:59Speaker 2: you know what, but this party, this Republican party, does
- 32:03Speaker 2: not care about the common man. And the reason that
- 32:06Speaker 2: this Republican party does not care about the common man
- 32:10Speaker 2: is because the administration does not care about the common man.
- 32:15Speaker 2: So the administration tells the Senators and the congressmen how
- 32:21Speaker 2: to vote based on the administration. This is all projects
- 32:24Speaker 2: twenty twenty twenty five they're gonna remove all that. Aymn,
- 32:27Speaker 2: these premiums fitting the skyrocket in January, people gonna lose
- 32:32Speaker 2: now affordable health care. It was it was never a
- 32:35Speaker 2: perfect plan, but it was a dog going pretty good
- 32:37Speaker 2: for a lot of people. It was a it was
- 32:41Speaker 2: a dog going pretty good. Yeah, and I got that.
- 32:45Speaker 2: It ain't perfect, No, it can't be. But when you
- 32:48Speaker 2: remove it, it's gonna be make America great again. It's
- 32:52Speaker 2: gonna go back to what it was. An insurance companies,
- 32:55Speaker 2: man will put you into the category of pre existing condition,
- 33:00Speaker 2: y'all out. You know, when your children get a certain age,
- 33:05Speaker 2: they out and you got to come back to these
- 33:07Speaker 2: insurance companies and buy these policies. That's who gave the
- 33:12Speaker 2: money for him to be elected.
- 33:14Speaker 15: It's really sad because it doesn't affect them, so they
- 33:18Speaker 15: don't care. But the cost of care, it's unbelievable. We
- 33:22Speaker 15: don't even talk about medication, we're talking about all that.
- 33:25Speaker 15: We're just talking about going to the doctor and talking
- 33:28Speaker 15: about rocket.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:30Speaker 2: But you know, you do know this, folks, that senators
- 33:33Speaker 2: and congressmen have one of the best medical coverage packages available.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I'm sure really, and they got their checked too.
- 33:46Speaker 6: For the.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Yeah, a vacation for them, really pay vacation. Sad, sad
- 33:55Speaker 1: state of affairs.
- 33:56Speaker 2: That's really sad. I just don't see how as voters
- 33:59Speaker 2: we don't see what happening and we elected this mess.
- 34:02Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, a lot of them do, but still too
- 34:08Speaker 10: many don't. Still too many are riding with him on
- 34:11Speaker 10: this foolish I.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Just don't understand holding the party line when the party
- 34:16Speaker 2: line ain't got nothing to do with the people who
- 34:18Speaker 2: got to go get in line. That's my problem with it. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:24Speaker 2: yah man, that this is crazy and this country can
- 34:27Speaker 2: easily afford this. You playing with people snap benefits and stuff.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's crazy. Yeah. And they don't even get using this system.
- 34:40Speaker 2: How And we're not giving no SNAP to illegal aliens.
- 34:44Speaker 1: You can't you can't food though, yeah. And other news.
- 34:55Speaker 10: After the first week at Fort Dick's, Diddy faces disciplinary
- 35:00Speaker 10: action for avoiding or breaking the rules. He claimed ignorance
- 35:04Speaker 10: of prison policy because he never received an orientation handbook.
- 35:09Speaker 10: Did He is only allowed to call people on an
- 35:12Speaker 10: approved list. Last week, he asked the person on the
- 35:15Speaker 10: phone to conference the third person. During that call, he
- 35:18Speaker 10: asked a woman to bring cash at her next visit.
- 35:21Speaker 10: He wanted the bills to be quote two hundred singles
- 35:25Speaker 10: for violating the rules. Did he may lose phone and
- 35:28Speaker 10: commissary privileges for ninety days? Did he is also working
- 35:32Speaker 10: in the prison chapel library. Just a REMINDERR He's due
- 35:35Speaker 10: to be released in May of twenty twenty eight.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Did he need his money now? I got to bring
- 35:44Speaker 2: cash because you got to cut these deals in here. Oh,
- 35:48Speaker 2: you got to cut these deals in here?
- 35:51Speaker 6: All right?
- 35:52Speaker 2: Well, big deals because ain't nobody got no change in prison?
- 36:00Speaker 10: Gonna and cash and all of that. The United States
- 36:05Speaker 10: Penny has been canceled. The US meant in Philly on
- 36:08Speaker 10: Wednesday ended production of the penny, a change made to
- 36:13Speaker 10: save money and because the one cent coin that could
- 36:16Speaker 10: once by a snack or a piece of candy had
- 36:19Speaker 10: become increasingly irrelevant. Despite its demise, the penny will remain
- 36:24Speaker 10: legal tender, which means it can be used for transactions,
- 36:28Speaker 10: so you know, until they run out, I guess or whatever.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Diddy don't need did he can't use none of it?
- 36:38Speaker 5: Forget all that. Did he can't use none here? First
- 36:40Speaker 5: of all, First, a lot of people with family m

- 37:12Speaker 10: check your voicemail. Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine.
- 37:15Speaker 10: Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this,
- 37:19Speaker 10: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Around the holidays, it's
- 37:28Speaker 10: hard to find the right gifts, but you know, it's
- 37:31Speaker 10: even harder getting the right gift.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But get this.
- 37:34Speaker 10: Verizon's got the perfect solve for both. They have incredible
- 37:39Speaker 10: gift bundles. You get the latest phone with a new
- 37:43Speaker 10: line on my plan and a brand new smart watch
- 37:46Speaker 10: and tablet, no trade in needed. You can give a
- 37:49Speaker 10: couple away and get yourself one two, or you could
- 37:52Speaker 10: keep them all to yourself. No one has to know.

- 37:59Speaker 10: voice now. Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.

- 38:06Speaker 6: My man, Hello is Steve Man.
- 38:09Speaker 16: My name is Leroyd Man.
- 38:10Speaker 9: I've been watching you.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Show man for some years.
- 38:13Speaker 16: Man, kind of like everything that you're going on show man,
- 38:17Speaker 16: and that you're all always talking about.
- 38:19Speaker 10: Trying to teach brothers how to learn how.
- 38:22Speaker 5: To be a gentleman and teach your brother.
- 38:24Speaker 16: How to have a relationship with a woman and how
- 38:26Speaker 16: to treat a woman. So I just wanted some many
- 38:28Speaker 16: price on that and would like to talk to you
- 38:31Speaker 16: man and see can you bear to help me out
- 38:33Speaker 16: because right now I don't have nobody and I need
- 38:36Speaker 16: to learn the skills on how to introduce myself to

- 38:41Speaker 16: me out with that, I appreciate it.
- 38:43Speaker 13: My name is Leroyd Man.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I live in Monroe. May God bless you, Steve. Keep
- 38:47Speaker 2: up the good work. Yeah, Leroy, you're right right. Thank
- 38:50Speaker 2: you brother, Thank you for that phone call. That's right
- 38:52Speaker 2: up my alley. How to introduce yourself to the woman.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Don't do nothing you see on Instagram and I what's
- 39:00Speaker 2: up shorty? Hey, hey y Let me holler at you.
- 39:03Speaker 2: None of that. It's a very simple things. Excuse me.
- 39:09Speaker 2: I don't mean to bother you, and I hope that
- 39:11Speaker 2: i'm not, but I've noticed you from afar or you
- 39:17Speaker 2: may have seen her several times or something. I don't
- 39:20Speaker 2: know what the case is. It is obviously somebody you've
- 39:23Speaker 2: seen before and you want to find a way to
- 39:25Speaker 2: introduce yourself. So I'm assuming you've seen it before, so
- 39:28Speaker 2: this is what approaches. Excuse me, man, I don't mean
- 39:31Speaker 2: to bother you, or I've noticed you were sitting here.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I've seen you several times, and I don't want any think.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I don't want to disturb you. But when I see you,
- 39:40Speaker 2: I would like to speak to you, and in doing that,
- 39:44Speaker 2: I would love to be able to call you by
- 39:46Speaker 2: your name. Could you just tell me what your name was?
- 39:49Speaker 2: And she'll say, well, my name is Pam. Well, thank
- 39:52Speaker 2: you Pam. My name is Leroy. And the next time
- 39:56Speaker 2: I see you, I'd like to speak to you and
- 39:58Speaker 2: refer to you by your name. That's all, have a
- 40:01Speaker 2: nice day and walk off. Let me tell you something,
- 40:04Speaker 2: le Roy, tell you something. You're fit to be on
- 40:07Speaker 2: her mind? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then the next time
- 40:14Speaker 2: you see her, you know her name. Excuse me, hello, Pam,
- 40:19Speaker 2: how are you today? Thank you so much for telling
- 40:22Speaker 2: me your name, because now it allows me to feel
- 40:25Speaker 2: what I want to feel when I see you. Thank
- 40:27Speaker 2: you so much. They don't forget My name is Leroy.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Have a nice day that you in you in the
- 40:33Speaker 2: next time, the conversation gonna be special for you.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Yeah, my brother taught me how to do that. My brother,
- 40:40Speaker 2: dip Donald Harvey taught me how to talk to girls.
- 40:45Speaker 2: He was a little more harsh with it, but oh okay,
- 40:49Speaker 2: way more harsh. But he talked yeah because her I
- 40:54Speaker 2: was so stupid for asking him these questions. Wow, well
- 41:00Speaker 2: what you've been saying though, that's what he says. No
- 41:05Speaker 2: wonder you ain't got no body.
- 41:06Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Leroy from Monroe coming up next to me.
- 41:10Speaker 2: I'm eleven, now, Bra, I'm eleven. I'm trying to get it.
- 41:14Speaker 1: You were eleven?
- 41:15Speaker 10: Hey, yeah, Steve, more calls when we come back. You're
- 41:19Speaker 10: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, back to the
- 41:27Speaker 10: phones we go, Steve, to check your voicemail. Eight seven
- 41:30Speaker 10: seven twenty nine, Steve, this caller left a message about
- 41:33Speaker 10: yesterday's asked the Colo segment. You remember the discussion we
- 41:36Speaker 10: had about the mom who slapped her son's girlfriend because
- 41:39Speaker 10: a girlfriend slapped the sun.
- 41:41Speaker 1: All right, so this is what this call is about.
- 41:43Speaker 17: Okay, So I'm listening to y'all talk about the girl
- 41:46Speaker 17: who slapped her boyfriend in front of the mom, and
- 41:49Speaker 17: the mom slapped her. So I had to get my
- 41:52Speaker 17: little two points on it, Like if my son's girlfriend
- 41:55Speaker 17: slapped him, I probably was superback. But I think the
- 41:58Speaker 17: bigger issue is Jack Gardens, is that the girl slapped
- 42:01Speaker 17: him in front of his mother. That is so disrespectful,
- 42:05Speaker 17: and then the father wants that I ask her to say,
- 42:07Speaker 17: he gonna jump on the side. You should have talked
- 42:09Speaker 17: your daughter. How tod one have managed to have respect
- 42:11Speaker 17: for our elder Because whatever y'all do behind closed doors,
- 42:14Speaker 17: y'all do behind closed doors. But you slapped my son
- 42:16Speaker 17: in my face. No, I'm slapping you back because you're abusive.
- 42:19Speaker 17: And if it was the opposite way around, if a
- 42:21Speaker 17: man slapt a woman in front of the whole room,
- 42:23Speaker 17: it it way crazy. Can't be a double standard.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I partly agree with
- 42:28Speaker 2: what you said, but it is a double standard. Yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 2: I got with it, Kate B.
- 42:32Speaker 1: But this is what it is.
- 42:34Speaker 2: This is the world we live in. It's a double standard.
- 42:36Speaker 2: The I think you're absolutely correcting what you're saying about
- 42:40Speaker 2: the girl should have never slapped the boy. I got that,
- 42:43Speaker 2: and should have never slapped him in front of the mother.
- 42:45Speaker 2: That's so disrespectful. Right, But when you slap this girl,
- 42:50Speaker 2: you introduced another element to it. See, two wrongs don't
- 42:53Speaker 2: make it right. I don't care how you look at it.
- 42:56Speaker 2: And it's set off a domino effect. Now the man
- 42:59Speaker 2: talking about when I see your son, I'm slapping him, well, yeah,
- 43:02Speaker 2: he should have taught his daughter all this. I got
- 43:05Speaker 2: all that, and you are one correct. But once somebody
- 43:11Speaker 2: don't stop the foolishness, the foolishness spreads. Yeah, it's just
- 43:16Speaker 2: gold Man. So that's why I was saying that the
- 43:18Speaker 2: mother should apologize to just reduce this because your son,
- 43:23Speaker 2: because you slap this girl, her daddy wants some type
- 43:27Speaker 2: of restitution or retribution whatever the word is. And now
- 43:31Speaker 2: your son is on the line, and you can stop
- 43:34Speaker 2: this with an apology, because see, when men get involved
- 43:38Speaker 2: is different.
- 43:38Speaker 10: All right, caller left to comment about one has to
- 43:42Speaker 10: go the game we play, Hey Loo, good.
- 43:44Speaker 18: Morning, you guys.
- 43:46Speaker 6: Just play.
- 43:46Speaker 18: One has to go? Well, let me give you one.
- 43:49Speaker 2: That has to go.
- 43:50Speaker 18: I'm gonna give you two that Sister Odell's character that
- 43:54Speaker 18: Steve Harvey be playing on Mondays and that Roscoe character
- 43:58Speaker 18: that he be playing on Fridays. Gotta go with all
- 44:02Speaker 18: my respect to you, Steve, You're funny. I love your
- 44:07Speaker 18: inspirational quote. But let's play more of you know, single
- 44:11Speaker 18: wheel and one has to go okay anyway, Like I said,
- 44:16Speaker 18: no need to punch back. I'm just giving you a
- 44:19Speaker 18: piece of my mind. I don't kill There's other people
- 44:22Speaker 18: to that say the same thing. Have a wonderful day,
- 44:25Speaker 18: take care, but I still love your morning shows.
- 44:28Speaker 13: Bye.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah, well, don't punch back statement, and that's not.
- 44:35Speaker 1: She doesn't say why though.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah, let's clear that up right now. No need to
- 44:40Speaker 2: punch back.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Oh you're wrong, she said for you. Oh that where
- 44:48Speaker 1: you're wrong?
- 44:49Speaker 6: First of all. Yeah, she said that.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I enjoy Sister Odelle because Sister Odelle gets to say
- 44:58Speaker 2: some stuff that I can ain't safe. Roscoe Wallace, I
- 45:05Speaker 2: love the fact that he is an old lounge singer
- 45:09Speaker 2: that never made it but won'ts credit for everything. Yes,
- 45:13Speaker 2: he z, I actually met a lounge singer named Roscoe.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Last name went Wallace, but he was singing at a lounge.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I was staying at a holiday inn. Express one time
- 45:25Speaker 2: he was down in the lobby with a guitar and
- 45:27Speaker 2: an amplifier and a recorder. He was horrible, but he
- 45:34Speaker 2: thought he was everything and a lot of these Sister
- 45:38Speaker 2: Odell takes me back to my mama's church and allows
- 45:42Speaker 2: me to have a moment with sister or Nail Porter. Yes,
- 45:49Speaker 2: and so that's what. Yeah, that's go ahead.
- 45:51Speaker 10: I have to tell you that my grandkids, who are
- 45:54Speaker 10: eight and ten love Roscoe.
- 45:58Speaker 1: They they listen to him every morning going to school.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I know you won't do it, Jaden Max.
- 46:13Speaker 10: All right, coming up next, we got the nephew and
- 46:16Speaker 10: today's prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening to
- 46:19Speaker 10: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 46:27Speaker 10: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 46:29Speaker 10: Strawberry letter for today and the subject is the security
- 46:33Speaker 10: guard knows my husband.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 46:36Speaker 10: We'll get into that find out what that's all about
- 46:38Speaker 10: in just a few because right now the nephew is
- 46:41Speaker 10: here with today's prank phone call.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Nephew, what you got for us?
- 46:45Speaker 9: Well, I don't know if this is well. I think
- 46:48Speaker 9: shoplifting season is coming up. Is that when I'll say that,
- 46:54Speaker 9: you know, I don't know if.
- 46:55Speaker 1: They take off because of the holidays, the.
- 47:01Speaker 9: Holidays, you know, this is probably it's probably more shoplift
- 47:05Speaker 9: in town.
- 47:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 47:05Speaker 9: I haven't I don't know shoplifters. But but yeah, all
- 47:09Speaker 9: your shoplifters out there, you know, I don't know if
- 47:11Speaker 9: y'all have an organization or whatever, but anyway, this is yeah,
- 47:15Speaker 9: this is to all the shoplift Yeah, is this a
- 47:17Speaker 9: shoplifting organization? We pick up you know, w W p U,
- 47:21Speaker 9: we pick up out of stick your fingers. This right
- 47:27Speaker 9: here goes out to all the shoplifters out there, all
- 47:30Speaker 9: the shoplifters. Get ready, get ready, let's go cat do shoplifters. Yes,
- 47:38Speaker 9: I'm trying to reach a Tanya. Please, Hi, Tanya. My
- 47:43Speaker 9: name is Daniel. I'm the head of store security here
- 47:46Speaker 9: at your job.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Listen.
- 47:49Speaker 9: I'm trying to see I'm gonna have to I know,
- 47:52Speaker 9: today's your day off. I'm looking at the schedule here.
- 47:55Speaker 9: It seems that you don't come back in until Saturday.
- 47:57Speaker 9: I'm trying to see if it's possible I can get
- 47:59Speaker 9: you to come to the store. There's a bit of
- 48:01Speaker 9: a situation I want to discuss with you. There's about
- 48:04Speaker 9: eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise missing from the store. Yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 9: it's about eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise. And we
- 48:13Speaker 9: definitely know that this is a in house situation. This
- 48:16Speaker 9: is not someone walking in shoplifting. This is definitely an
- 48:21Speaker 9: in house situation with employees who have evidently been shoplifting
- 48:25Speaker 9: from the store, taking things, and we want to get
- 48:28Speaker 9: down to the roots.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Of the problem.
- 48:30Speaker 6: Okay, so what you call well, ma'am.
- 48:33Speaker 9: It's it's been brought to my attention that there's a
- 48:36Speaker 9: possibility that you may be.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Part of this situation and out of the situation.
- 48:43Speaker 7: I ain't no thief.
- 48:45Speaker 17: I don't steal.
- 48:47Speaker 19: You don't call my house accusing me of Still, I
- 48:49Speaker 19: ain't stole nothing from nobody.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Okay, well, my hang on, man, what I'm trying to
- 48:53Speaker 2: do is just trying to.
- 48:56Speaker 19: You, trying to say I instilled something and I ain't
- 48:58Speaker 19: still to think.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Okay, wait just a second. Now, do you have a
- 49:02Speaker 2: sister named Cynthia?
- 49:04Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 49:04Speaker 15: What about it?
- 49:05Speaker 2: Well, now, it seems that here on.
- 49:08Speaker 9: Some of the footage that we have on camera, that
- 49:11Speaker 9: it's a possibility that it seems like your sister's actually
- 49:14Speaker 9: wearing some of the merchandise that we sell here in
- 49:17Speaker 9: the store.
- 49:18Speaker 19: Okay, just because she wears something that we sell in
- 49:21Speaker 19: the store, don't mean that I've stole it.
- 49:24Speaker 9: Well, we don't see where she's act. I've backed the
- 49:27Speaker 9: footage up as far as I could. I don't see
- 49:29Speaker 9: any footage of where she purchased this particular merchandise.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And my assumption is maybe you gave it to her.
- 49:36Speaker 19: I gave her And just because you don't see what
- 49:39Speaker 19: somebody purchased it don't mean that it's been stolen.
- 49:42Speaker 9: Okay, here's what I'm gonna get. I'm gonna just get
- 49:45Speaker 9: to the chase of this, Tanya. What I'm gonna have
- 49:47Speaker 9: to do is this if I can't get you to
- 49:50Speaker 9: come to the store, ma'am. And matter of fact, here's
- 49:53Speaker 9: another question for you before I go any further. You
- 49:55Speaker 9: have children at all, Tanya?
- 49:58Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 49:58Speaker 19: I got children, wife?
- 50:00Speaker 9: Do you is it possible? Because I'm missing a lot
- 50:02Speaker 9: of baby merchandise as well?
- 50:06Speaker 19: And you know what, you know what you really cruising
- 50:09Speaker 19: for this morning? Okay, because you don't call somebody on
- 50:13Speaker 19: the off day accusing them of stealing.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Okay, here's what I gotta do. Are you coming into
- 50:19Speaker 2: the office so I can talk with you.
- 50:21Speaker 19: I'm not coming nowhere on my off day.
- 50:24Speaker 9: Well, then what's gonna happen, Miss Tanya, is I'm gonna
- 50:27Speaker 9: have to actually come to your home, check your closets.
- 50:31Speaker 9: I'm gonna have to check your kids and see if
- 50:33Speaker 9: they will do what check and see if they're wearing
- 50:35Speaker 9: merchandise that that comes from this.
- 50:37Speaker 19: Come to my house if you want to, and they
- 50:39Speaker 19: gonna take your somebody here in the body back. You
- 50:43Speaker 19: heard what I said. You heard what I said. You
- 50:46Speaker 19: don't call nobody. I bust my store.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I bust my store.
- 50:50Speaker 19: You understand me.
- 50:51Speaker 17: I work hard for y'all.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Okay, you've been busting.
- 50:55Speaker 19: You've been busting car here excusing me of stealing. I
- 50:58Speaker 19: ain't so from No, I don't have to steal. That's
- 51:02Speaker 19: why I work all day.
- 51:03Speaker 17: You understand me.
- 51:04Speaker 9: I think you've been busting your butt. Taking stuff is
- 51:07Speaker 9: what you've been doing.
- 51:08Speaker 19: You've been from nobody. You understand me. I do not steal.
- 51:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna come over there. I'm checking your closets, but.
- 51:16Speaker 19: It ain't no seat, you understand.
- 51:18Speaker 2: And I'm checking your babies as well, and I'm making.
- 51:21Speaker 17: Check my baby and see what happened.
- 51:22Speaker 19: You put your hands on anything in here and see
- 51:25Speaker 19: what happens. Okay, I don't want to have to drag
- 51:28Speaker 19: your butt here. Oh you're gonna drag somebody?
- 51:31Speaker 8: Oh?
- 51:31Speaker 19: Now you threatening me?
- 51:32Speaker 2: I don't want to drag out of your.
- 51:34Speaker 19: House security guard.
- 51:35Speaker 11: You tough security guard.
- 51:36Speaker 19: You like your job that much you're willing to die
- 51:39Speaker 19: for that.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Huh?
- 51:40Speaker 2: Who said anything about me?
- 51:41Speaker 6: Doan?
- 51:42Speaker 19: I did come over here, and that's what's gonna happen.
- 51:45Speaker 19: That's what happens when you put.
- 51:46Speaker 18: People on their off day, you get hurt.
- 51:48Speaker 19: Okay, I get a couple of days off, and y'all gonna.
- 51:51Speaker 17: Call me with this book.
- 51:53Speaker 2: So are you threatening me?
- 51:54Speaker 10: Now?
- 51:55Speaker 19: I'm threatening you? Then you just call and say you
- 51:57Speaker 19: was coming over here.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Yes, I did over here, bring here.
- 52:01Speaker 17: I don't bring here security guards.
- 52:04Speaker 2: I'm on my look.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Let me tell you something.
- 52:06Speaker 13: Okay, I get you.
- 52:08Speaker 2: I can have you brought up on charges.
- 52:10Speaker 19: You know that, Bring me up on charges and see
- 52:13Speaker 19: what happened.
- 52:14Speaker 6: Charge.
- 52:14Speaker 18: See if you get that far.
- 52:16Speaker 2: I'm on my way over there now to check you
- 52:18Speaker 2: and your kids. You understand me.
- 52:20Speaker 6: I'm over here to check me.
- 52:21Speaker 19: And my kids and see how they check their somebody here.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Let me tell you something.
- 52:27Speaker 6: To tell me.
- 52:28Speaker 19: You ain't got nothing to tell me.

- 56:44Speaker 9: It is Broberry Letter.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 56:47Speaker 10: Nephew's subject the security guard knows my husband. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:52Speaker 10: I work at a large company with three offices in
- 56:55Speaker 10: one city. I'm a consultant and I work from home,
- 56:59Speaker 10: but once a month I visited the offices to check
- 57:02Speaker 10: in with my team. One guy on my team was
- 57:04Speaker 10: flirting with me for months, and last month he called
- 57:07Speaker 10: me and told me to be sure to stop by
- 57:09Speaker 10: his office before I left. I went to see him
- 57:12Speaker 10: and he asked me to take a walk with him.
- 57:15Speaker 10: We walked to his car and he had roses on
- 57:17Speaker 10: the seat and lunch from Popeyes. I sat in the
- 57:21Speaker 10: car and ate the cold chicken with him because it
- 57:23Speaker 10: was a nice gesture. He opened up about the many
- 57:26Speaker 10: dreams he's had of us making love. Then he said
- 57:30Speaker 10: he never dreamed it would be in a car. I
- 57:32Speaker 10: was caught off guard by that statement, but it made
- 57:35Speaker 10: me want to have sex with him in a car
- 57:37Speaker 10: for the first time, just because I'd never done anything
- 57:40Speaker 10: spontaneous like that. I cheated on my hubby before, and
- 57:44Speaker 10: I regretted it. In that short period of time, while
- 57:48Speaker 10: I ate my cold chicken, I told myself that I
- 57:51Speaker 10: should try this guy out in the car and then
- 57:54Speaker 10: I'd never have to see him again. I asked if
- 57:57Speaker 10: he had some form of protection, and his face lit up.
- 58:01Speaker 10: We moved to the back seat and we got down
- 58:03Speaker 10: to it. His windows are tenants, so it was perfect.
- 58:07Speaker 10: It was not until I climbed off the back seat
- 58:10Speaker 10: looking a hot mess, that I saw the security guard
- 58:13Speaker 10: on the golf cart staring at me. I realized who
- 58:17Speaker 10: the security guard was, he's been to our house before
- 58:21Speaker 10: and he knows my husband. I told my coworker to
- 58:24Speaker 10: stay in the car, and he did. I went over
- 58:27Speaker 10: and spoke to the security guard and asked if we
- 58:29Speaker 10: are good, and he smiled and said it's cool. I
- 58:33Speaker 10: told my husband I saw the guy, and he said
- 58:35Speaker 10: he hasn't seen him in years. I breathed a sigh
- 58:39Speaker 10: of relief. Can I trust the security guard to keep
- 58:42Speaker 10: this between us? What a crazy question? I mean, who
- 58:47Speaker 10: knows if you can trust him or not? I mean,
- 58:49Speaker 10: I know your husband can't trust you, that is what
- 58:52Speaker 10: I do know. And it's interesting that you didn't think someone,
- 58:56Speaker 10: I mean anyone would see you guys in the back seat,
- 59:00Speaker 10: that you didn't care or think that somebody might see you.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I don't get that from you at all.
- 59:08Speaker 10: He must have been really close to the security guard
- 59:11Speaker 10: because you said the guy's windows were tenant. So your
- 59:14Speaker 10: question really is do Steve and I think he'll tell
- 59:18Speaker 10: your husband that really is your question.
- 59:20Speaker 1: He might and he might not.
- 59:21Speaker 10: I mean, I'm going to say no at this point
- 59:23Speaker 10: because he's a man, and men don't usually get that
- 59:26Speaker 10: deep with it like some women do, you know?
- 59:29Speaker 1: And tell everything.
- 59:31Speaker 10: But what he might do the security guard is hold
- 59:34Speaker 10: it over your head for his benefit, like he might try.
- 59:37Speaker 1: To sleep with you in the future or something like that.
- 59:39Speaker 10: So if you don't have a problem with giving the
- 59:41Speaker 10: security guard some if he asked, don't worry about it.
- 59:44Speaker 10: It wouldn't be the first time, right or the second
- 59:47Speaker 10: time that you cheated on your husband. And yes I
- 59:50Speaker 10: am judging, Yes I am, Steve.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Let me just start about saying in this letter right here,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: beyond overjoyed that you are not my wife. I mean,
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: you're just you easy. A box of Popeye' chicken at all.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: It took in a wall.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: And some roses on the back seat. These roses was
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: purchased either on the way in at the dude on
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: the corner or hard it was purchased at the grocery store.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: But either way, the guy played it because he knew
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: you was coming in, because you told him, because in
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: the flirting you told him, will I'll be there on
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: a certain day. Why you think that chicken and the roses.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: Was in the car.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: This wasn't a person, This wasn't a perchance meeting, y'all.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: See she left that part out. He knew see it
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: ain't no. Oh she coming today? No, no, no, cause
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: you don't know what day she coming. She go once
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: a month. They had talked and he knew she was coming.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: That's why he said, make sure you stop by my
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: office walk with me. They go outside for a walk.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: He walked to the car, some roses on the back
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: seat and some chicken. I wish that's all it took.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I spent way too much money, way too much money.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm doing. I have got to
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: I wish I had met you thirty years ago. Dog,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I wish i'd met this man thirty years ago so
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: he could tell me what he says to women to
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: make them give it up for a box of chicken.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I just need to know what you say. Man, it's popeyes.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: That's strong.
- 1:02:06Speaker 13: I didn't know.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: I've been all that old Becky. I've been down the
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: olive garden with him. I started, Man. The first big
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: date I thought was strong was a restaurant in Cleveland
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: called the Brown Derby. Then when I got on the road, boy,
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: if I met one boy, we was at Red Lost.
- 1:02:28Speaker 15: Oh.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I knew all the dope to Red Lobster, because you
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: get the biscuits and then Olive Garden because you got
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: that salad in that bread. But little did I know
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: all that sitting down ordering off for menu and and
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: getting and getting having to tip somebody.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Popeyes.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: I'll be dunk on Popeyes. All right, this levels to
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: this player thing.
- 1:02:59Speaker 10: Well, Part two of your response coming up at twenty
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: three minutes after the hour today Strawberry letters, subject is

- 1:03:53Speaker 10: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is the security guard
- 1:03:56Speaker 10: knows my husband.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: This woman works from home and but they're the big company.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: They got three offices in the city. She's married, but
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: she's a cheatah, because she visited the offices once a
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: month to check in with her team. There's one guy
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: on the team that's been flirting with her, and last
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: month he called me and told me to be sure
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: to stop by his office before I left. So she
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: go see him and he asked her to take a
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: walk with him, and they went to his car and
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: he had roses on the back seat, but he had
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: lunch from Popeyes, so she said. They got in the
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: car and she decided to eat the cold chicken because
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: it was a nice gesture. Okay, all right, cool. He
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: opened up about all the dreams he didne had about.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Them making love. My man, they wasted no time.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Then he said he never dreamed that it would be
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: in a car. Then here what she said. I was
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: caught off god by that statement. But it made me
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: want to have sex in the car for the first time.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: That's a lie, all that, that's just a lot.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: It wasn't the first.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: No, hell no, hell no.
- 1:05:28Speaker 15: No.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: After he said that statement, it made me want to
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: have sex in the car for the first time. What
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: how that's your first time thinking about having sex in
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: a car? Who ain't thought of that in high school?
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Who ain't thought of that in college? The girl die
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: just because I've never done anything spontaneous like that? Who
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: are you talking to? You don't just climb in the
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: backseat of cars while you at work on lunch break
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: eating Popeye because it's the first You've never done anything
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: spontaneous like that.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Girl.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Stop, I've cheated on my husband before, and right there,
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: let's list back this up right here. I've cheated on
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: my husband before. So now what makes you think that
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: that statement you said a second ago? You've never done
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: anything spontaneous like this, lady. You've been tricking so hard
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: in that short period of time. While I ate my
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: cold chicken, I told myself, I should try this guy
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: out in the car and then I never have to
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: see him again. What how that's the plan. I'm gonna
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: climb in this car with him and try him out,
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: because then I never have to see him again. I
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: asked if he had some form of protection. His face
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: lit up. We moved to the back seat and we
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: got to it. His wonders, this tenant, so it was perfect.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: You knew that it was not until I climbed out
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: the back seat and look at a hot mess that.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: I saw the security guard on the golf car staring
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: at me. I realized who the security guard was. He's
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: been to our house before and he knows my husband.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: I told my coworker to stay in the car, and
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: he did. I went over and spoke to the security guard. Now,
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: so if we're good. He smiled and said, it's cool.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it ain't. No, ain't no problem, It's cool.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: I told my husband I saw the guy, and he
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: said he ain't seen him in years. I breathed a
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: sigh of relief. Can I trust the security guard to
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: keep this between us? Wait a minute, did you just
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: use the word trust? Can you trust the security guard?
- 1:07:50Speaker 14: Can?
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: If I trust you your new lover, he can't trust
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: you because you're talking about if you give him something
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: right now, might not have to see him no more.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: But I bet you will though. And you know how
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: I know called Popeyes is still open. You can't turn
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: down no chicken? Where do you women at? I been
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: going about this the wrong way. Cars and swimming pool
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: and houses, shrips, coats, rags, shoe boxes. All I need?
- 1:08:34Speaker 13: What?
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Just some chickens, Spicy girl, ain't no telling what to happen.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Extra crunching girl. If I come up with some spicy
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: extra crispys, whoa boy, we're gonna be in here clouded
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: for days. Couple extra biscuits with some honey.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: Girl.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to buy me a pickle truck so
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: we can get this thing, so we get done right,

- 1:09:06Speaker 2: I'm finna buy me a camper. I just lady, you
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: one of the most. But here your question? Do you
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: think I can trust the security guard? Lady? You don't
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: see the other issues in this letter, like you repeatedly

- 1:13:55Speaker 10: of the hour, a man on social media needs some advice.
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: He says, my nephew is more fun than my we'll
- 1:14:00Speaker 10: talk about it right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:14:03Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is from Gary on Steve
- 1:14:11Speaker 10: Harvey FM. Gary says, over the summer, I spent a
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: lot of time with my brother and his kids, and
- 1:14:16Speaker 10: we had fun. This past week, my wife confronted me,
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: asking me why I seem to enjoy spending more time
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: with my nephews than with our own kids, and I said,
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: because I do. They don't whine they don't ask me
- 1:14:29Speaker 10: for stuff constantly, they don't constantly talk about all the
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: things they don't have, and they're more fun. I'm now
- 1:14:37Speaker 10: learning that this was the wrong thing to say, even
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: if I was thinking it. How do I get back
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: into my wife's good graces and enjoy being around my
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: own kids again?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: I don't know why you said that.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Point Wow, he was thinking.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: And number one, you raised them. You raised the whiners
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: and complainers, You raised the talking about what that ain't
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: got you. You raised him. So now, yeah, you go
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: over your brother's house, they ain't gotta ask you for
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: nothing because they got a daddy. So broh, I just
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: think you are You raised the kids the wrong way.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: You want them to act a certain way. You want
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: them to act like your nephews and nieces. But bro,
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: but you shouldn't have said that. You ain't gonna get
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: that one back, non You fin to eat that sandwich.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: That's your sandwich. Dog, You finn to eat that, hope
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: for a while. Yeah, you might as well put a
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: name to a subway Jersey Mike's Yeah, firehouse, you need
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: to put a name to it, because you're gonna be
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: eating on that one for a while.
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: Bro.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Wow, all right, we have another one. This is from
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Lisa and Steve Harvey FM. Lisa says, my.
- 1:15:46Speaker 10: Best friend and I have kids who are close in age,
- 1:15:49Speaker 10: and over the past couple of years she became really
- 1:15:52Speaker 10: into gentle parenting. However, her six year old son gets
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: away with everything. He hits, throws toys when he doesn't
- 1:16:00Speaker 10: get his way, and she just calm lee talks it
- 1:16:03Speaker 10: through while the rest of us are trying to keep
- 1:16:05Speaker 10: our own kids from getting hurt. I love her dearly,
- 1:16:09Speaker 10: but I've started dreading our playdates because her son's behavior
- 1:16:12Speaker 10: is so out of control. Would I be a terrible
- 1:16:15Speaker 10: friend if I gently told her that her approach just
- 1:16:19Speaker 10: isn't working and her kid as.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Bad as you know what, well, y'all not gonna be
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: friends no more. Oh so know that because you're not
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: only gonna talk to her about her parenting, you're gonna
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: be talking about her child. So I don't see how
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: this's gonna work out for you.
- 1:16:36Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: I have experience with that because I have an employee
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: that does gentle parenting, and I had him over at
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: the house with the grandkids playing in the pool, and
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: then my couple other people bought their kids and they
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: playing in the pool. Well, this little boy, when he
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: liked you, he grabbed your face cheeks with his hands
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: because you know, he and squeeze. I mean, man, this
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: looking that's wrong like you. But he gritted his teeth
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: on and you know, and he did this to this
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: little black girl.
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: And she.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: And the father was right there, one of my son's friends.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: He said, hey, man, the f wrong with you?
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: Now?
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: He talking to the baby. Now the baby ain't even two.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: He didn't ask the not two year old, what the
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: earth wrong with you?
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I heard him.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: The parents they don't do down't do nothing. They just
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: sit over there. So I went over there and pulled
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: him to the side. I say, hey, brother, because this
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: is my son's friend. I said, hey, brother, listen to this.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: They do genter parent She said, ma'am. But mister Harvey,
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: did you see the way he grabbed my baby face.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: I said, yes, sir, he do that all the time.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: He said, what they gonna do? I said, they ain't
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: gonna do that. He said, well, I'm gonna do something.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: I said, yeah, I know, I know how you feel,
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: but don't do that. Though, don't don't do it. I've
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: watched it man, I've seen gentle parenting up close, because
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: there's a lot of it nowadays. But what I try
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: to teach people who do that, I've actually pulled them
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: to the side and say, hey, let me explain something
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: to You have a little boy. If you do not
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: introduce the term discipline to your little boy, you're going
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: to have an undisciplined boy. If you have an undisciplined boy,
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: two things are gonna happen. He gonna go to prison
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: or somebody gonna do something to him. You can't be
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: a boy and not have discipline. You can't be a
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: girl and don't have discipline. So you need to introduce
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: discipline to your children. I don't know how you got
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: them thinking they can do what they want to do.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: That's my closing remarks today.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: All right, well, thank you.
- 1:18:47Speaker 10: Coming up, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:18:49Speaker 10: Show right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:18:53Speaker 10: Morning Show. So when you're when you're an a relationship,
- 1:19:01Speaker 10: you should have each other's back.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: Everybody agrees with that, right, and you're in a relationship.
- 1:19:06Speaker 10: Yeah yeah, all right, So according to your tango, here
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: are some things that couples who always have each other's backs,
- 1:19:13Speaker 10: do better than everyone else.
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: One.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: They know how to listen, okay, two.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: One of us do.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: No, they have open conversation when they have each other's back.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: The last one is they're.
- 1:19:37Speaker 10: Honest with each other. They joke with each other, and
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: they show gratitude. So if you have each other's back,
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: those are something honest.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Listen.
- 1:19:49Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I like that.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: I agree with those so so.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: I'm openly honest that I'm not.
- 1:19:56Speaker 10: Listening to all Right, Well, yeah, name away that you
- 1:19:59Speaker 10: and your spouse each other's back.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Tommy quick, you've got a Steve let him think I've
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: used lion to all. If you have their backs, you
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: should be honest with each other.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: I just said, I'm being honest. I got her back.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: But we're gonna have to lie a little bit though.
- 1:20:33Speaker 16: Just go.

- 1:20:41Speaker 10: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Around the holidays, it's hard

- 1:20:52Speaker 10: harder getting the right gift. But get this, Verizon's got
- 1:20:56Speaker 10: the perfect solve for both. They have incredible gift bundles.

- 1:21:56Speaker 10: rather burn the corn bread for Thanksgiving dinner?
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Which one?
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Or you can burn that corn bread. You can burn
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: it up till it ain't nothing but crumbs, and that's

- 1:22:33Speaker 1: No, Thanksgiving is a lot of people for family. Huh,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: it's small for two people.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you got it. If you only two of y'all

- 1:25:21Speaker 10: out of here, we have a voicemail call for you.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: Are you ready?
- 1:25:27Speaker 10: This is a longtime fan of yours. He had a
- 1:25:30Speaker 10: question about your your first TV show, Me and the Boys.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 1:25:35Speaker 14: Good morning, Steve Harvey.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: Out do you do?
- 1:25:38Speaker 14: I hope all as well with y'all enjoying your show.
- 1:25:41Speaker 14: I have one question. You used to have a TV
- 1:25:44Speaker 14: show called Me and the Boys on Channel seven. I'd
- 1:25:48Speaker 14: just like to know what happened with the TV show.
- 1:25:51Speaker 14: It's a real good, inspirational show, encouraging for a single
- 1:25:57Speaker 14: black man.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Okay, wow, that's a great question, because, man, nothing has
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: ever happened in television like what happened on Me and
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: the Boys. Me and the Boys was me, Matt Sinclair,
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: Chas Shepherd and two other boys, and I was a
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: single father of three boys whose wife had deceased, and
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: my mother in law moved in with me to help
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: me with the boys. Great storyline. The show was a really,
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: really good show and it finished the season at number
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: twenty one, twenty one. It was the top new show
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: on ABC that year. But ABC had cut a deal
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: with this guy. I think his name was Matt Williams.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: I think that's his name, but he was the creative
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: Home Improvement, and the deal that he had cut with
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: ABC was if his show finished in the top ten,
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: he could have the time slot either behind it or
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: in front of it. I don't remember which one it was.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: Improvement finished in the top ten that year Tim Allen.
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: Tim Allen and I were friends for back in the
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: Stand Up Day, so ABC honored that. But the show
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: that came on before Home Improvement was Me and the Boys,
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: So they took Me and the Boys off the air
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: to honor the commitment to Matt Williams. It was the
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: highest rated TV show to ever be removed from national
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: TV in the history of television. No new show had
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: finished ever twenty one and been canceled for Me, so
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: they canceled Me and the Boys. Me and the Boys
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: was off the air. I found out on May tenth
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: that we weren't coming back. I went out to LA
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: I met with Ted Herbert, who was the president of ABC.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: I walked into the office of having a meeting. The
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: lady said he wasn't available. I sat in the lobby
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: for hour and a half, two hours till I saw it.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: He looked up the hallway and saw me. He said,
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: see what's going on, man, come on back. I said, hey, man,
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: y'all counsel the show and that's cool. He said, hey, yeah,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: but we're offering you a holding deal right now. I said, well,
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: I need a bigger holding deal. I said, man, it
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: was really I felt really unfair the way it was done,
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: and I would appreciate a bigger holding deal. So he said,
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: how much do you want At the time, back in
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: ninety five, I asked for four hundred thousand dollars, which
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: is a really large holding deal for a newcomer. He said, Steve,
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you the four hundred thousand. Two days
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: later he gave me four hundred thousand, and I flew
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: back to Texas bought my very first home I've ever
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: owned in Plano, Texas. The house was one point one
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: million dollars. I got it for nine hundred and forty
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: two thousand. I gave the man the whole four hundred
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: thousand as a down payment because I didn't have no credit.
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: You know, I had been homeless and starving, and I
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: gave a man four hundred thousand and he financed the
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: house myself. That's how I got my very first house,
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: and was when I gave him the money. All I
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: had left was one thousand dollars, but my house note
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: was two thousand and six hundred. But I was a
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: stand up and I knew I could make twenty six
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: hundred out on the road. So I just went out
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: on the road and start doing. In the meantime, the
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: WB got formed and they bought my four hundred thousand
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: dollars contract from ABC, and so now I belonged to
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: the WB. And the WB came to me and said,
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: we have a show idea for you. We're gonna be
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: a school teacher, and we're gonna put you in a
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: Chicago school setting, and you have a best friend, and
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: your best friend we decided it's going to be George
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: Winn from Cheers. That was Norman the mailman. Yeah, he
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: said he gonna be your best friend. I said, well,
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: I don't even know him. I said, I met this
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: guy one time. Name said you to entertainer. Y'all should
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: try him. They said, we've never heard of him. I said, well,
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: bring him out and let him read. So it came
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: they got hold of said just to appease me. They said, no,
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: we like George went better. He's famous and all this,
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: I said, Now I'd rather do it. What said the entertainer? Man,
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: So now I put my foot down for the first
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: time and said you either get me. Said I don't
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: want to do the show. So he gave me. Said
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: that was the birth of the Steve Harvey Show.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: Wow. Wow, that's the story behind men boys.
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: That's how that's how the Steve Harvey Show got started
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: because I had met said in eighty nine at my
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: comedy club, Steve Harvey's caravan of funny funky friends at
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: vu Kua Nightclub, and said was performing at a punt
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: at a funny Bone, and they canceled him when he
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: got out in town because they had two blacks on
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: the show, and back then you couldn't have two blacks
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: on the show. So dude named Percy Cruz called me
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: up and said, hey man, my buddy said is in town.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: He gotta go home. Can he come over and do
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: a set for you? So I said yeah, so say
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: it came over. I met him. I said, hey man,
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: I'm gonna let you do five minutes. If you do good,
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: I'll bring you back sometime. Said went up there and
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: killed So I bought him back the next night gave
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: him one hundred and fifty dollars. He made one hundred
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: and fifty. I bought him back two weeks later, gave
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: him a headline give for one thousand dollars. He had
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: never headline. That's how me and said met. We've been
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: tight every since. Sweet noops, those my clothes remarks today.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: Hope you enjoyed that story. It was facts, though, all
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: facts in the life of Steve Harvey. God be good
