- 1:47Speaker 1: water the water. Come come on your baby now, h huh.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come off, Come on, y'all dig me now,
- 2:10Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Is God good to me? Unbelievable? Yeah? He is? And
- 2:18Speaker 1: and I can only attribute it to one thing. It's
- 2:21Speaker 1: just been a turnaround in my life. It's it's been
- 2:24Speaker 1: me finally making a decision to see what all God
- 2:28Speaker 1: has from me, but at the same time trying to
- 2:31Speaker 1: be more God wants me to be instead of more
- 2:34Speaker 1: of what I want to be. That's the trade off.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You know, you gotta do something now. You know, you
- 2:38Speaker 1: know you want God's blessings, you gotta be willing to
- 2:41Speaker 1: do something on his behalf. Now. I'm not saying I
- 2:44Speaker 1: got it right right now, because I'm just being real
- 2:48Speaker 1: with you. I don't. I don't have it all together
- 2:52Speaker 1: by any stretch of imagination of I'm trying to get
- 2:55Speaker 1: better in several areas. I'm praying about it, I'm working
- 2:58Speaker 1: on it. But you know, it's a process, and I've
- 3:01Speaker 1: I've grown to accept the process. But I'm improving in
- 3:05Speaker 1: a lot of areas from day to day. But I'll
- 3:07Speaker 1: tell you what, man, my success all is going on
- 3:10Speaker 1: with me I can only attribute to this turnaround. And
- 3:14Speaker 1: the turnaround was simple. I turned around and started looking
- 3:18Speaker 1: at God. That was a simple move. Man. I just
- 3:22Speaker 1: turned around and started looking at him, and I was going, Okay,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I get it. Now, you created me. You're the creator.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You have a purpose for me. I understand that. Now.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Now let me just walk in that purpose and let
- 3:37Speaker 1: me get to doing that purpose. Now, my purpose and
- 3:40Speaker 1: your purpose, and their purpose and anybody's perfect purpose could
- 3:44Speaker 1: be different, and the way you go about the purpose
- 3:48Speaker 1: can be different. And that's the part that I've really
- 3:51Speaker 1: grown up to. I've opened up my mind to understanding
- 3:54Speaker 1: that everybody's different, nobody's quite the same, and that is
- 3:59Speaker 1: not my right or position to judge, but to be
- 4:03Speaker 1: of a forgiving spirit and understand and forgive those as
- 4:06Speaker 1: I ask God to forgive me. See that's the key.
- 4:10Speaker 1: That's the key, y'all. So when you out here and
- 4:12Speaker 1: you stuck on this unforgiveness, understand in the large prayer
- 4:18Speaker 1: as a segment that says, forgive us our trust passes,
- 4:23Speaker 1: as we forgive those who trust pass against us. There's
- 4:25Speaker 1: another version says forgive us our debts as we forgive
- 4:28Speaker 1: our debt us. It's two different versions, but either one
- 4:33Speaker 1: it means the exact same thing. It means simply this,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that you are asking God to forgive yours like you
- 4:42Speaker 1: forgive others. Forgive us our trust passes as we forgive
- 4:47Speaker 1: those who trust pass against us when I crossed the
- 4:49Speaker 1: line with you, God handle me the way I handle
- 4:54Speaker 1: people when they cross the line with me. You feel
- 4:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you, See you understand that. That's
- 4:59Speaker 1: the break down of it. Best way I can give
- 5:02Speaker 1: it to you. Forgive us our trust passes as we
- 5:05Speaker 1: forgive those who trust pass against us. Forgive me God
- 5:09Speaker 1: for stepping over the line, like I forgive those that
- 5:12Speaker 1: step over the line on me. That's the hard part, man,
- 5:16Speaker 1: that's the part man. I've really been working on. I've
- 5:18Speaker 1: been really trying to get that together, and so I've
- 5:21Speaker 1: learned forgiveness a lot better over the past five years
- 5:25Speaker 1: than I have before, and it's paid off. I can't
- 5:29Speaker 1: tell you how I was paid off, because now God's
- 5:33Speaker 1: mercy and grace is all over me, because I've learned
- 5:37Speaker 1: to become more graceful. Now I ain't graceful like him,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I ain't merciful like him, but I've learned to become
- 5:46Speaker 1: more more graceful, more merciful, because man, I can't live
- 5:50Speaker 1: my life like that. I just got sick of me. Man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you're mad at me, now I'm mad at you. You
- 5:56Speaker 1: hate on me, Now I'm gonna hate on you. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: ain't got time for that, man, I've got you. Look here,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you got somewhere to go. Hate take up time. It's
- 6:06Speaker 1: time consuming, and hating trying to seek revenge it's time consuming.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It take up way too much of your time to
- 6:14Speaker 1: seek revenge when vengeance ain't really yours. That's another one.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Vengeance is mine, say if the Lord it ain't yours.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So now when you go to seek it to take
- 6:24Speaker 1: it out, guess what you're doing. You're doing something now, man,
- 6:28Speaker 1: Now you off in the area that you got no
- 6:31Speaker 1: business being in. And instead of steady climbing your ladder
- 6:34Speaker 1: like you're supposed to, you didn't take out time for
- 6:37Speaker 1: vengeance to hate. I'm a hater. I'm gonna be a blogger.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm a blog about so and so. When you're blogging
- 6:46Speaker 1: about somebody, and most of these people you don't even
- 6:49Speaker 1: know when you're blogging about somebody, what you're doing, what
- 6:53Speaker 1: you're hating. It takes time to hate. Man. I just decided, Man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I gotta take all my time and instead of have
- 7:04Speaker 1: doing time and being active, I got to be proactive.
- 7:08Speaker 1: See some people get that confused being active and being proactive.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Pro is positive. Pro means to move forward. You know,
- 7:18Speaker 1: if you put pro in front of most words, it's
- 7:20Speaker 1: a positive influence. You know, does the pros and the cons.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The pros is the good side, the cons is what
- 7:28Speaker 1: can go wrong the bad side. You know, if you're active,
- 7:32Speaker 1: that's one thing, But if you're pro active, you're going
- 7:35Speaker 1: forward in a positive direction. When you become a pro
- 7:39Speaker 1: that means you the best of the best at whatever
- 7:42Speaker 1: it is you chosen to be. I'm a pro so somehow,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and I know English teacher a grammatical god. The word
- 7:52Speaker 1: pro a lot of times when you put it in
- 7:54Speaker 1: front of something, means positiveness. So now a lot of
- 7:59Speaker 1: people think that if you just active something all to happen. Well,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm doing something, and that's what happens. Man, We just
- 8:05Speaker 1: find ourselves doing a lot of busy work that really
- 8:07Speaker 1: ain't bout nothing. It ain't going the way. It ain't
- 8:09Speaker 1: got no direction or no purpose because we haven't tried
- 8:13Speaker 1: to find out the direction of a purpose. So you
- 8:15Speaker 1: wake up and you and your wheels are spinning. You
- 8:18Speaker 1: a hamster on a tread meal. You're running real fast,
- 8:21Speaker 1: but you're just going in the same spot. You understand
- 8:24Speaker 1: that's because you're just out here being active instead of proactive.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Why don't you get God in your life. Why don't
- 8:30Speaker 1: you turn and face your creative and find out how
- 8:33Speaker 1: to become more proactive so you can do things to
- 8:36Speaker 1: move yourself forward. How you can get your life off
- 8:39Speaker 1: the ground and get off the tread meal and really
- 8:42Speaker 1: get it rolling in the direction that it need to
- 8:44Speaker 1: be going. Man, I'm telling you, God can make that
- 8:48Speaker 1: change for you if he see you making the change
- 8:51Speaker 1: for him. See the whole key, man, the whole kids.
- 8:55Speaker 1: You got to be willing to do something. You got
- 8:58Speaker 1: to give God something to bless bless me God, and
- 9:02Speaker 1: then you go sit on your couch and you ain't trying. Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 1: bless me God with what? What? What? What are working with?
- 9:10Speaker 1: He can't have the people hire you if you ain't
- 9:12Speaker 1: put the app in. Come on, man, the blessing comes
- 9:16Speaker 1: when you make a proactive step, when you try to
- 9:19Speaker 1: do something on the positive side. Look, man, I'm gonna
- 9:23Speaker 1: quit messing around with all these people. I'm gonna start
- 9:26Speaker 1: going home. I'm gonna leave these women loan out here.
- 9:28Speaker 1: You got to say, all right, man, I ain't going
- 9:31Speaker 1: over that at night. I just ain't gonna get Then
- 9:33Speaker 1: God can work with you. God help me stop seeing
- 9:37Speaker 1: all these women. But you steady going over there calling
- 9:40Speaker 1: them setting up stuff. We can't nobody help you because
- 9:44Speaker 1: once you get over there, you already know. See, you
- 9:48Speaker 1: gotta get proactive. You gotta do something yourself. You make
- 9:52Speaker 1: one step, he'll make two. That that's the key, man.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So come on, y'all. You're listening, ladies, gentlemen, everybody listening.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I need your attention for this simple, very simple, but
- 10:10Speaker 1: factual announcement Today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. It's a
- 10:21Speaker 1: very simple scripture. It means so much to me. I
- 10:26Speaker 1: would invite you to just do the same. It is
- 10:31Speaker 1: a deal. Today is all we really have. The past
- 10:35Speaker 1: belongs to history, the future belongs to God. We have today.
- 10:41Speaker 1: You should rejoice and be glad in it because this
- 10:44Speaker 1: is yours. That's why they call it the present, because
- 10:48Speaker 1: it's an unwrapped gift. It's the present, It's yours. This
- 10:53Speaker 1: is ours. Let's get in. Welcome to the Steve Harper
- 10:56Speaker 1: Martins Show. Charley Strawberry caller Forever Mississippi Monica Junior Better
- 10:59Speaker 1: noticed his face at the legend of Nephew Tommy yours truly, Junior,
- 11:03Speaker 1: What boy? I tell you? What I remember one of
- 11:08Speaker 1: your most famous Joe Willy Turner, I give my money.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I saw the other day. Man, what Liz have you
- 11:16Speaker 1: gone through to get your money? If somebody don't have
- 11:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey money, what Liz have you been through? I'm
- 11:23Speaker 1: gonna tell you one of the biggest impacts, one of
- 11:26Speaker 1: the moments. It's the true story. I got paid in
- 11:30Speaker 1: Arkansas one night and we were performing at this comedy
- 11:34Speaker 1: club that was upstairs on the second floor had a
- 11:37Speaker 1: bar in it. I kind of stayed till the show
- 11:39Speaker 1: was over, talking to some of the bartenders and waitresses.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And I put my little cash in a bag, which
- 11:46Speaker 1: was seven hundred and fifty dollars, and I'm walking because
- 11:50Speaker 1: I could walk across the street to the condo that
- 11:54Speaker 1: they let the comedian stay in. And I come downstairs
- 11:57Speaker 1: and I'm walking across the parking lot and this dude
- 12:01Speaker 1: runs up behind me and grabbed me from behind. And
- 12:05Speaker 1: I kind of turned that I could see the waitresses
- 12:08Speaker 1: upstairs on the balcony what I had just left, and
- 12:11Speaker 1: they was talking and laughing. So I thought it was
- 12:13Speaker 1: one of the little bartenders playing, you know how they play.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I don't really play like that, you know how how
- 12:18Speaker 1: he I go along with it. But a pickup truck
- 12:22Speaker 1: he grabs me from behind. It was kind of tight,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but I said, okay, that's how he's trying to play.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He wasn't strong enough to toss me, but he was
- 12:28Speaker 1: holding me. A pickup truck pulls up right in front
- 12:32Speaker 1: of me, and the dude jumps out of the truck
- 12:33Speaker 1: and it's charging at me. Now right then the hood
- 12:37Speaker 1: in me goes off. Yeah. I don't know if they
- 12:40Speaker 1: still playing, but it don't look like playing to me,
- 12:42Speaker 1: So I'm gonna act like it ain't no play game
- 12:45Speaker 1: no more. I put my chin on my chest and
- 12:49Speaker 1: threw my head back into his face as hard as
- 12:51Speaker 1: I could bust his nose. But here the dude come,
- 12:56Speaker 1: the little white dude gonna bend over and charged me.
- 12:59Speaker 1: And I was way quicker than I was in my thirties,
- 13:01Speaker 1: So yeah, bending over charging me, that's a mistake. I'm
- 13:05Speaker 1: put his knee in your china. Come to find out
- 13:09Speaker 1: they was robbing me, dog, I was. You ain't got
- 13:16Speaker 1: no gun, You ain't got no knife, y'all ain't strong,
- 13:19Speaker 1: y'all ain't coordinated. You robbing me? Yeah, you ain't got
- 13:23Speaker 1: norther qualification, boy, and you can't fight. You win? Here
- 13:29Speaker 1: you getting my seven fifty. All right, it's a nice
- 13:32Speaker 1: day at the outside, nice activity. Right after the show,
- 13:36Speaker 1: still had my hands. Thank you Lord coming up with
- 13:40Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, run that frank back

- 16:54Speaker 1: uh yeah, okay, Dominique, Dominique, all I want to apologize.
- 17:00Speaker 1: We thought we were called. Apology is not gonna do it.

- 17:23Speaker 1: I just want to say. I just I truly apologize.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I mean I thought I was calling the person that
- 17:28Speaker 1: was in the room. I'm really really you know, I

- 18:53Speaker 1: on my way down there, and I'm about to call
- 18:55Speaker 1: my husband since he won't answer your call. And I
- 18:58Speaker 1: did hear him talking to you in the background? Okay?
- 19:01Speaker 1: What did you hear who he was talking to? No?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I didn't, Okay, he was talking to me. But do
- 19:06Speaker 1: you know who I am? No? I don't and I

- 21:02Speaker 1: and entertainment news Jada Pinkett Smith. Finally we hear from her.
- 21:07Speaker 1: She speaks on Will Smith flap. Huh huh. Also, Cleveland's
- 21:13Speaker 1: quarterback is being sued again for sexual misconduct, and Carlo
- 21:17Speaker 1: has some music news for us. But right now it
- 21:19Speaker 1: is time for Ask the Clo. Chief Love Officer Steve
- 21:23Speaker 1: Harvey in the building, ready for your love questions. Cassidy
- 21:28Speaker 1: in Toledo writes, I'm twenty eight years old and I'm
- 21:30Speaker 1: dating a man that is a few years younger than
- 21:33Speaker 1: I am. He makes more money than I do, and
- 21:36Speaker 1: he's more established than I am because he used to
- 21:38Speaker 1: play a pro sport. Now my parents think all athletes
- 21:42Speaker 1: are flawed and that I can do a lot better.
- 21:44Speaker 1: He wants to meet them. But I'm skeptical. What do
- 21:48Speaker 1: I do well? All athletes are flawed, all entertainers of flawed,
- 21:54Speaker 1: all ministers of flawed. Welcome to humanity. So I don't
- 21:59Speaker 1: know who you're mama thing. What she's doing is she's
- 22:02Speaker 1: grouping them in the group with everybody else, but everybody
- 22:05Speaker 1: the banker is flawed. Everybody's flawed. If the man is
- 22:10Speaker 1: treating you well and living up to your expectations and
- 22:14Speaker 1: exceeding them, let me let me tell you something, ladies,
- 22:18Speaker 1: be very careful in the beginning of a relationship when
- 22:22Speaker 1: a man meets your expectations and is not exceeding them,
- 22:27Speaker 1: Because what that's because in the beginning he's running that
- 22:32Speaker 1: max capacity. So if he's doing just enough to meet
- 22:36Speaker 1: your expectation and not over exceeding them, that when the
- 22:39Speaker 1: drop off come, it may not be enough for you.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So just be conscious of that. So, if this man
- 22:44Speaker 1: you're dating is meeting your expectations and exceeding a few
- 22:47Speaker 1: of them, you may have something. If you just getting
- 22:50Speaker 1: to the tape in a minute, he ain't gonna get
- 22:53Speaker 1: to the tape. To drop off is real. To drop
- 22:57Speaker 1: off is real? All right, fellow starting off with a
- 23:01Speaker 1: bang here Joe Anne and Arizona says, I have eight
- 23:05Speaker 1: grandchildren by my only son, and I want him to
- 23:08Speaker 1: stop populating the planet and grow up. I hate to
- 23:11Speaker 1: do my own grandchildren dirty, but I'm not keeping any
- 23:14Speaker 1: of them when it's his weekend to be a parent.
- 23:17Speaker 1: How do I get this man to live up to
- 23:18Speaker 1: his responsibilities before his children grow up resenting him? Wow? Well,
- 23:23Speaker 1: just do like that. Don't help him on his weekend.
- 23:26Speaker 1: It's eight of them. Did he get all eight of
- 23:28Speaker 1: them on the same dayn weekend? He just got kids
- 23:32Speaker 1: every weekend? Seemed like me, Are you to work it
- 23:35Speaker 1: out with eight baby mamas? Get him on the same
- 23:38Speaker 1: week so every weekend his baby weekend for him? Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 1: she says, I'm not keeping any of them. Well you're
- 23:46Speaker 1: not keeping them then fine, then don't you made your decision? Man?
- 23:50Speaker 1: That's it. Don't keep the grandkids. But also keep in mind,
- 23:53Speaker 1: it ain't the grandkids fault that they don't know their grandmama.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Because you're trying to teach him a lesson. You may
- 23:58Speaker 1: inadvertently be teaching them a lesson. Grandparents ain't worth for damn.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Oh wow. This then turned on heart. Wow. Yeah, well,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but you're right, it's not the baby's fault. It's not
- 24:10Speaker 1: the baby's faults. I understand her trying to teach him
- 24:12Speaker 1: a lesson. At the same time, the grandchildren don't get
- 24:16Speaker 1: to meet their grandparents yet. I mean, what kind of
- 24:18Speaker 1: deal is that? Yeah? All right? Moving on to Stephanie
- 24:22Speaker 1: in Pensacola. Stephanie writes, I'm a forty seven year old
- 24:25Speaker 1: married woman and I had a crush on our lawn guy.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I was home sick one day and asked the lawn
- 24:31Speaker 1: guy if he could get me some gatorade before he
- 24:34Speaker 1: cut our yard. He got it, and when my husband
- 24:37Speaker 1: saw it, I had to tell him who got it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: He fired the lawn guy, and I feel terrible. How
- 24:43Speaker 1: do I fix this? You can't. You can't get this
- 24:47Speaker 1: long guy back. Lady, are you playing? What was it? Do?
- 24:51Speaker 1: You said you liked the man, You had a crush
- 24:53Speaker 1: on a crush Huh? You ask you for some katorade?
- 24:57Speaker 1: He go get you the gatorade. Your husband now he fired. Man.
- 25:01Speaker 1: What you're gonna do bring man back? You're gonna be
- 25:04Speaker 1: out there cutting your own damn grass. Keep on, You're
- 25:09Speaker 1: gonna be out there sitting in the truck next to
- 25:11Speaker 1: his ass going from house to house, because that's who
- 25:14Speaker 1: you're gonna end up with now, your husband and gave
- 25:18Speaker 1: you some kind of life. Ain't nothing wrong with landscapers,
- 25:21Speaker 1: but your ass is fitting to be riding in the
- 25:23Speaker 1: mo truck. Bring him back if you want to joy
- 25:28Speaker 1: over there and sit your ass down somewhere. You're too
- 25:31Speaker 1: old for this ober each Now a damn gay rade?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Does she has a crush on the long guy. No,
- 25:40Speaker 1: but he's fixing it just in cape. But you know
- 25:42Speaker 1: this dude probably isn't shaping stuff, you know, Yeah, husband fat,
- 25:47Speaker 1: You know he ain't picked up a lamo. He the
- 25:51Speaker 1: man be out there picking up the lamo with a
- 25:53Speaker 1: little little person on it, you know, doing strong ass stuff.
- 25:57Speaker 1: You know, shirt all off, Yeah that shirt over miss
- 26:00Speaker 1: stuff Ye listening my steps? Can you give me some gatorade?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Show can so? So she can't? Don't get it for
- 26:11Speaker 1: your gatorade? The thirst question, that's how the long guy
- 26:14Speaker 1: talks on. Oh, I only got deep voice to y'all.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Bring it to you, baby, Go get this gatorade. I
- 26:21Speaker 1: take it up for you. Eat port, Thank you for
- 26:25Speaker 1: my gatorade. Hold on, hold on, hold on, miss Jackson
- 26:29Speaker 1: and report back because I don't want you get your
- 26:31Speaker 1: hands all wet on. Hey, listen to this, because I
- 26:35Speaker 1: don't want you to get your hands all wet on
- 26:37Speaker 1: this thing. Right, there's something, Let me hold it, cop
- 26:39Speaker 1: for you. Pull it in here. You need some help drinking?
- 26:49Speaker 1: He getting deep? Delicious, it's delicious. Listen to hey, Hey,
- 26:56Speaker 1: hold this cope with both hands. You don't need I
- 27:00Speaker 1: wanted to slip, all right? Moving on, No, just the
- 27:09Speaker 1: lawn cut. You need some crackers because she said, I
- 27:16Speaker 1: can't really know how to take care of woman. But hey,
- 27:18Speaker 1: just coming over. Stop all right? Moving on to our
- 27:22Speaker 1: last one. It's Tam in South Carolina. Tam says, I
- 27:27Speaker 1: caught my husband cheating on me last year, and I
- 27:29Speaker 1: jumped on him and the girl. This woman still has
- 27:33Speaker 1: it out for me and she wants revenge. My husband
- 27:36Speaker 1: lives with her, even though we're still married. He won't
- 27:39Speaker 1: divorce me, and I'm afraid to even contact him because
- 27:42Speaker 1: this chick is crazy? How do I break free from them? Free?
- 27:48Speaker 1: You are ready? Free? He live with huh? Stay Out'm
- 27:52Speaker 1: over there, free as a state of mind. She wants
- 27:56Speaker 1: a divorce. Get a divorce, Go get your lawyer. Tell you,
- 28:00Speaker 1: tell any lawyer in the United States that your hub
- 28:05Speaker 1: has moved in with another girl. You this case is
- 28:10Speaker 1: open and shut. Just fire your paperwork. You ain't got
- 28:13Speaker 1: to reach out to them, have us, have U the
- 28:16Speaker 1: court deliver the paperwork. They know how to get it
- 28:18Speaker 1: to him. Girl, I've been handing stuff to me in
- 28:20Speaker 1: some of the craziest places they'll find you. Like where
- 28:26Speaker 1: at the Magic Show with Vegas that served a bitch
- 28:31Speaker 1: came up to Steve Harvey. Yeah, man, what's happening here?
- 28:37Speaker 1: You go? Thought I was a fan. I came out
- 28:44Speaker 1: the back door of a theater before mister Harvey. Mister Harvey,
- 28:48Speaker 1: Oh not right now, man, I'll sign it for you. Yeah,
- 28:54Speaker 1: it is now. You don't have to sign it, just
- 28:55Speaker 1: read it. She can get them anywhere. You've just been served. Yes,
- 29:07Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Clo. Coming up at the top
- 29:10Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news for you
- 29:12Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening well. J Pickett Smith has
- 29:20Speaker 1: finally addressed the horrific Oscar slap, but rather than apologizing,
- 29:25Speaker 1: Jada said Chris Rock and her husband Will Smith both
- 29:30Speaker 1: have to set aside their differences. She opened up the
- 29:33Speaker 1: latest episode of The Red Table talk with this about
- 29:36Speaker 1: Oscar night. A deepest hope is that these two intelligent,
- 29:40Speaker 1: capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out,
- 29:44Speaker 1: and reconcile. The state of the world today we need
- 29:47Speaker 1: them both and we all actually need one another more
- 29:51Speaker 1: than ever. Until then, Well and I are continuing to
- 29:54Speaker 1: do what we have done for the last twenty eight years,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and let's keep figuring out this thing called life together.
- 30:01Speaker 1: What you've been doing the last year, a few years,
- 30:03Speaker 1: getting on our damn there there? Yeah, she was there,
- 30:10Speaker 1: the reason why I jumped out. Now you want a
- 30:12Speaker 1: reason with it? Yeah, now you got a solution the
- 30:21Speaker 1: next years? What do you say? Nothing about her? Nothing?
- 30:27Speaker 1: I'm I'm, I'm I'm. I'm completely confused because this miss
- 30:36Speaker 1: Smith was not just between these two men. The cause
- 30:42Speaker 1: and effect was sitting there in a green dress. See,
- 30:46Speaker 1: you can't what they need a chance to heal, talk
- 30:51Speaker 1: and reconcile. Okay, what's stopping from will for going over
- 30:55Speaker 1: the apologizing to the man. See, if you want to heal,
- 30:58Speaker 1: start with an apply, If you want to talk, call
- 31:01Speaker 1: the man up. If you want to Recordcide going over there.
- 31:04Speaker 1: This this move is on Will. Will initiated the whole thing.
- 31:07Speaker 1: We all got about his seat and went up there
- 31:09Speaker 1: and slap that man. What you want Chris Rock to do?
- 31:13Speaker 1: And it wasn't just between those two men. We need
- 31:17Speaker 1: them both, Damn. I got news for you. We need
- 31:23Speaker 1: we need them two men, but we need more powerful,
- 31:27Speaker 1: strong women. We need people to own up face the
- 31:32Speaker 1: end of whatever it is that's dealing with going on
- 31:35Speaker 1: out there. You need to understand your contribution. This isn't
- 31:38Speaker 1: just between Will and Chris. There's a cause and effect
- 31:41Speaker 1: behind this. I just think the statement is full of air.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I don't see. I don't see does nothing. I don't
- 31:48Speaker 1: need no more table talk. I don't need a table
- 31:49Speaker 1: talk with dresser, nice man couch talk. I don't need nothing.
- 31:54Speaker 1: I don't dinner table. I don't need number chef talk.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I don't need no more talk. I don't, I don't.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I don't care whatever furniture you pick. I don't want
- 32:03Speaker 1: to talk there with you. I don't well whatever furniture
- 32:08Speaker 1: your dresser condemns would die man, I don't want to
- 32:10Speaker 1: talk with you, Okay, talk with you. I don't you
- 32:18Speaker 1: know what would help? I think if Jada would start with,
- 32:23Speaker 1: I want to apologize for any role I played in this,
- 32:27Speaker 1: because if I misunderstood the joke as it was intended,
- 32:32Speaker 1: maybe I was at fault for thinking you would referring
- 32:35Speaker 1: to my alopecia when you had nothing to do with that.
- 32:39Speaker 1: So it would it would go a long way if
- 32:41Speaker 1: she would go you know what, I'm partly to blame
- 32:44Speaker 1: for this because I misunderstood where you were coming from. Chris.
- 32:48Speaker 1: That would start, because that's that's the core of it.
- 32:53Speaker 1: And then the next thing would be he would up
- 32:56Speaker 1: there and apologize to the Academy. You didn't slap the Academy.
- 33:00Speaker 1: You slapped Chris. Yeah, Black America. Yeah, I mean her
- 33:06Speaker 1: whole take, you know, just like it is to us.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It was a shocker to her fans who still feel that.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Will really owe Chris a face to face apology or
- 33:16Speaker 1: at least a personal conversation where he apologizes for it
- 33:19Speaker 1: slapping him. Period. He hasn't done that face to face,
- 33:24Speaker 1: you know, he just hasn't done it. He did a
- 33:28Speaker 1: blanket statement abroad apology, but um, no face. Your wife
- 33:33Speaker 1: laughed being changed her mind. You laughed, Will and then
- 33:38Speaker 1: changed your mind. And then after you changed your mind.
- 33:42Speaker 1: You went up there and slapped the man. All of
- 33:45Speaker 1: the apologies got to come from the smith's side. What
- 33:49Speaker 1: did Chris do his job? Yeah? Right, it's all I mean,
- 33:55Speaker 1: you know, that's all it is, man, this little master
- 33:59Speaker 1: only while she still so what she bring it up? Well,
- 34:02Speaker 1: but I guess people want her to address it maybe, Okay, okay,
- 34:06Speaker 1: new season of talk. I got, y'all. What did she
- 34:11Speaker 1: say though? What did did she say that had any
- 34:15Speaker 1: Did you let me ask you all this money? Because
- 34:18Speaker 1: maybe I'm missing something? What was the takeaway from what
- 34:20Speaker 1: she said? The takeaway that she addressed it in a
- 34:26Speaker 1: public setting on her show, on her Turns and then
- 34:30Speaker 1: she also had guests, um uh talking about alopecia. Alopecia. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 1: so it was it's a new season of Red Table Talk,
- 34:40Speaker 1: yes time takeaway Yeah huh yes, yeah, that part was
- 34:48Speaker 1: in there about alopecia. She did a show because I
- 34:51Speaker 1: guess she was trying to bring awareness for alopecia as well,
- 34:54Speaker 1: because a lot of people didn't know what it was
- 34:56Speaker 1: until it came up about her. But yeah, um, the
- 35:00Speaker 1: takeaway was that she didn't even have to say that,
- 35:04Speaker 1: she just do your regular show. She didn't even have
- 35:07Speaker 1: to say anything addressed her rid of this table, damn
- 35:14Speaker 1: table man? Why as we talking that? It's our ways?
- 35:16Speaker 1: Some drama at this table? Stop? We're talking in where
- 35:21Speaker 1: is Will? By the way, where is he is? He's
- 35:23Speaker 1: still an Indian somewhere. We're having vision steals and trying
- 35:27Speaker 1: to get his life together. So there you have it. Uh,
- 35:31Speaker 1: you know, do we have time for music news, Carla? No,
- 35:36Speaker 1: we don't. The bet Award nominations are out. We'll talk
- 35:39Speaker 1: about it later on and if we can. Okay, all right,
- 35:43Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 35:45Speaker 1: Tommy has a question for you, Uncle Steve. We'll get
- 35:49Speaker 1: to that right after this. You're listening, all right, So Temmy,
- 35:55Speaker 1: you have something on your mind you wanted to deal
- 35:58Speaker 1: with this morning? What's go? I want to deal with
- 36:00Speaker 1: it because I'm having some nightmare's Uncle Steve. It's it's
- 36:06Speaker 1: hard out here in these comedy streets. You understand them
- 36:09Speaker 1: saying it's hard out here. I got a show coming
- 36:13Speaker 1: up Columbia side Carolina. Last night I had a dream
- 36:15Speaker 1: that my opening act went on stage talked about me
- 36:18Speaker 1: for thirty minutes. I mean, just when out then just
- 36:21Speaker 1: talked about me so bad, me, my family and everybody.
- 36:24Speaker 1: And then when I come out on stage, I don't
- 36:26Speaker 1: know why, but TI I tell who I love as
- 36:29Speaker 1: a rapper. He then started heckling me. So this is
- 36:32Speaker 1: just a nightmare from hell as a comedian. And then
- 36:34Speaker 1: towards the end of my set, somebody run up on
- 36:37Speaker 1: my stage and try to slap the hell out of me.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I'm just trying to ask you, as a comedian, what
- 36:41Speaker 1: am I opposed to do? Man, I don't know what
- 36:43Speaker 1: to do. It's hard. I hear comedy streets. Well, the
- 36:48Speaker 1: clinical answer that I'm about to get you is that
- 36:53Speaker 1: I'm about to give you is you should seek some
- 36:57Speaker 1: form of therapy, because mental illness is real. Also, keep
- 37:10Speaker 1: in mind that everyone has the rights of freedom of
- 37:15Speaker 1: speech and those three things I want to throw to
- 37:20Speaker 1: you therapy. I want you to keep in mind freedom
- 37:24Speaker 1: of speech and what we're going when I told you,
- 37:28Speaker 1: and mental illness is real. Now that being said, that's
- 37:33Speaker 1: what I want you to handle it. Now. As your uncle,
- 37:37Speaker 1: here we go. When you see his punk ass that
- 37:43Speaker 1: was on stage talking about you, put your foot dead
- 37:47Speaker 1: square off in the dark side of his real hand. Okay,
- 37:53Speaker 1: that little center point that retain that starts getting when
- 37:58Speaker 1: it get hot outside of getting moist. That's that's for him,
- 38:03Speaker 1: and said, don't where about me, Shirley and Carl. Let's
- 38:06Speaker 1: stop all the looks off your face. I'm talking to
- 38:09Speaker 1: my nephew. The second one you said was these hecklers. Yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 1: hang the ass to the wall. Oh you want to
- 38:22Speaker 1: be in the show, Here we go. And then thirdly
- 38:28Speaker 1: to the person that walks up on stage and slap you.
- 38:32Speaker 1: From now on as a comedian, start all your performances
- 38:36Speaker 1: with your weight on your back leg. Put your right
- 38:40Speaker 1: leg behind you and put your weight on it. Lean
- 38:43Speaker 1: back with that weight on your right leg. Tell all
- 38:47Speaker 1: your jokes with your weight back on that right leg.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Case anybody run up, you already in the cock position.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Top knock they smooth rats, right on out, right down.
- 39:00Speaker 1: We told you coming up, coming up. Thirty four minutes
- 39:10Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 39:13Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the sty Show.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. It is observed
- 39:23Speaker 1: on the first Friday in June and kicks off where
- 39:27Speaker 1: Orange Weekend? Why where Orange? You? Ask? Well? On January
- 39:31Speaker 1: twenty first of twenty thirteen, a teenage black girl named
- 39:34Speaker 1: Hadaiah Pendleton marched in President Obama's second inaugural parade. One
- 39:40Speaker 1: week later, Hadaiah was shot and killed on a playground
- 39:43Speaker 1: in Chicago. Well soon after her death, Hadiah's friends commemorated
- 39:47Speaker 1: her life by wearing orange, the color hunters were in
- 39:51Speaker 1: the woods. This is a color that they wear in
- 39:53Speaker 1: the woods, hunters to protect themselves from being shot. Where
- 39:59Speaker 1: orange again on June second, twenty fifteen, on what would
- 40:03Speaker 1: have been Hadaiah's eighteenth birthday. We should not have to
- 40:06Speaker 1: live in fear. I mean, we all know this. We
- 40:08Speaker 1: should not have to live in fear that gunfire can
- 40:10Speaker 1: ring out at any moment. But unfortunately, that is the
- 40:14Speaker 1: world in which we live right now. Whether it's at
- 40:17Speaker 1: an elementary school and you've all day Texas, at a
- 40:20Speaker 1: supermarket in Buffalo, at a party in San Bernardino, at
- 40:24Speaker 1: graduations across the country, are most recently, at a hospital
- 40:28Speaker 1: in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Wow, Yeah, I mean, you know this
- 40:35Speaker 1: is this is this is tough, you know it is.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I mean gun violence though, how come we can't get
- 40:43Speaker 1: some kind of gun law or form for national gun laws.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I just don't understand that this is a normal behavior.
- 40:51Speaker 1: All of this gun violence, Carl. What you're saying is
- 40:56Speaker 1: the absolute need and the requests of most every American,
- 41:03Speaker 1: almost every one of them, especially those who have suffered
- 41:10Speaker 1: because of gun violence. The problem is two things. The
- 41:17Speaker 1: fifty one senators who refuse to even discuss this because
- 41:23Speaker 1: they are controlled by the NRA and their contributions to
- 41:28Speaker 1: the party, their position and their power. We got to
- 41:32Speaker 1: bring them down, dog got to go down. Good luck,
- 41:39Speaker 1: good luck. Well, a lot of people are trying, Tommy.
- 41:43Speaker 1: The problem is it's what this country is based on
- 41:47Speaker 1: power and money, and whoever has the power in the money,
- 41:52Speaker 1: they all back down, and degree that's who's in charge.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Because the crux of this country is built on power
- 41:58Speaker 1: and money, and they don't care how they do it.
- 42:01Speaker 1: You get power by going to get yourself some slaves,
- 42:04Speaker 1: so that gives you power because you have dominion over
- 42:07Speaker 1: them because they're slaves. Well, guess what that produces a
- 42:10Speaker 1: lot more money. So now this country was built right there,
- 42:16Speaker 1: right there on that look man, when the pilgrims got
- 42:20Speaker 1: off that boat and they were over that dying, that
- 42:22Speaker 1: first winner and the Native Americans saved them, and I
- 42:28Speaker 1: know they got to look back on that saving go
- 42:31Speaker 1: maybe we should just put them back on the boat,
- 42:36Speaker 1: gave them a couple of blankets and put them back
- 42:39Speaker 1: on the boat. But they allowed them to come here,
- 42:42Speaker 1: and they came here and they took everything from them.
- 42:48Speaker 1: So you're dealing with a system that's that's broken. We
- 42:52Speaker 1: have a broken system, and it's really it's horrible, man.
- 42:55Speaker 1: And no, no, only people that the voters could fix it.
- 43:03Speaker 1: The voters could fix this by saying, I don't care
- 43:07Speaker 1: how much the NIA gives you, I don't care how
- 43:11Speaker 1: much they pay you to say this. What you're saying
- 43:13Speaker 1: is wrong, and we're gonna vote the other way. The
- 43:16Speaker 1: vote could fix this. It really could, man. But but
- 43:23Speaker 1: the super slickness of it is they blend this in
- 43:26Speaker 1: with the other things, like you heard that pastor they
- 43:30Speaker 1: got his license took or whatever that you can't be
- 43:33Speaker 1: a Christian and not be Republican or conservative. You can
- 43:39Speaker 1: be a Democrat and be a Christian Christian. It's just
- 43:42Speaker 1: that's that type of stuff they blended in with that.
- 43:45Speaker 1: They blended in with immigration, they blended in with gay rights,
- 43:49Speaker 1: they blended in try to make themselves. See they bended
- 43:51Speaker 1: in with abortion, they blended in with welfare, all the
- 43:55Speaker 1: stuff they do and participate in. Yeah, day at all
- 44:01Speaker 1: this man, Yeah, all right, all right, we're gonna move
- 44:05Speaker 1: on here and swift gear, change gears, shift gears coming
- 44:08Speaker 1: up next to prank call. Phone call with the nephew.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to morning show. Coming up
- 44:17Speaker 1: at about four minutes after the hour. It's my strawberry
- 44:19Speaker 1: letter for today and the subject is my boyfriend puts
- 44:23Speaker 1: his friends first. Mkay. All right, all right, we'll get
- 44:33Speaker 1: into that in just a bit, because right now the
- 44:35Speaker 1: nephew is here for today, frank phone call. What's on
- 44:38Speaker 1: the menu for today, nep What you got? Uh? This
- 44:42Speaker 1: right here, Shirley is called redeped. You understand redeped like
- 44:49Speaker 1: double dipping? Well no, not like double, not like potato
- 44:53Speaker 1: like double. I can't stand double depls oh. I can't
- 44:56Speaker 1: stand at the party. I can't stand that this is
- 44:59Speaker 1: a but I can't when you when you when you
- 45:01Speaker 1: bite off that chip, that's it. You can't bring that
- 45:03Speaker 1: chip back to this deal and put your dip on
- 45:07Speaker 1: your plate. Ye, yes, this is red deal. This is
- 45:13Speaker 1: this is well I tell you what. Just take a
- 45:15Speaker 1: listen read deal. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to beat pastor
- 45:20Speaker 1: Henry this baster Henry. Oh how are you doing, sir?
- 45:23Speaker 1: You know as to a greater New Hope Baptist right?
- 45:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I am my answers cooler. My
- 45:31Speaker 1: name is Katrick, my name Patrick Davis. Uh ain't doing there?
- 45:36Speaker 1: How you doing, sir? I went there to your church
- 45:39Speaker 1: a bottom about two and a half years ago. I
- 45:41Speaker 1: went there and me, yeah, we got our kids baptized. Thereto.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Are you coming back to us or are you? Uh uh?
- 45:50Speaker 1: What's your current church? Hold? Well, we we haven't been
- 45:54Speaker 1: in a minute, you know. But you you you baptized
- 45:56Speaker 1: my my son and my daughter Kareem, and you baptize them.
- 46:02Speaker 1: I don't I don't think you. I mean, I'm sure
- 46:03Speaker 1: you do a lot of people. But yeah, I was
- 46:05Speaker 1: about to say I do a lot. I can't really
- 46:07Speaker 1: pinpoint a name like that. You said it was about
- 46:09Speaker 1: a couple of years ago, two three year by chewing
- 46:12Speaker 1: up between two and between two and three years ago,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you you belt to have my little girl and my son. O. God,
- 46:17Speaker 1: I bless on that. I'm glad I was able to
- 46:19Speaker 1: do that service for you. I was wondering how did
- 46:22Speaker 1: you get my number? Usual anything like this usually get
- 46:26Speaker 1: handled with the church. You know, one of my deacons
- 46:28Speaker 1: or you my secretary. But h uh did you? Um
- 46:32Speaker 1: call the church and they gave you my number? Um?
- 46:36Speaker 1: Just this guy at the church. Let me see. His
- 46:38Speaker 1: name is oh Dobs brother, brother Dobs, brother, brother Dobs
- 46:44Speaker 1: gave you my phone number, my information, Brother Dogs. I
- 46:47Speaker 1: got this from brother Dogs that I thank you I
- 46:50Speaker 1: could reach you. Now. You know him right, he's one
- 46:52Speaker 1: of your deacons, brother, I tried. That's a good man
- 46:55Speaker 1: right there. I know him many years. Okay for him
- 46:58Speaker 1: my rooson for one to talk to you directly? Okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: Like I said, you baptized my little girl, Tayloring and
- 47:04Speaker 1: my son Kareem. What baptizing exposed to be? You cleansing
- 47:10Speaker 1: them and you're watching them, probably hear my problems. You
- 47:14Speaker 1: baptize my kids, but there ain't nothing shaming they they
- 47:18Speaker 1: grade still bad. He still didn't obediently. I don't see
- 47:22Speaker 1: where your back look. But if you don't sounding mend him,
- 47:28Speaker 1: if you just let me spin it, I don't see
- 47:30Speaker 1: where your baptiz has done anything I don't know that
- 47:34Speaker 1: I spent when I was there. I want that money
- 47:36Speaker 1: back now now, okay, now you coxcuse me. I'm not sure.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I think you know we need to stop this madness
- 47:43Speaker 1: right now because you're talking about you a money back
- 47:47Speaker 1: baptime I would like with baptize your kids. I've been
- 47:50Speaker 1: at this church for many years, so I won't doubt
- 47:53Speaker 1: that I'm probably the pastor you're looking for. But I
- 47:58Speaker 1: just don't understand what you're trying to get at it here.
- 48:00Speaker 1: But the baptism did I'm saying you're supposed to when
- 48:04Speaker 1: when when people get baptized, they're supposed to change them
- 48:07Speaker 1: a cleansing. Okay, I see, yeah, cleans them. But well,
- 48:12Speaker 1: if my kids aren't nothing, let me let me ask you.
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'm just trying to brother, I'm just just trying to
- 48:16Speaker 1: get to the bottom of this, you know what I mean,
- 48:18Speaker 1: because you like when we get I can't understand how
- 48:22Speaker 1: you got my numbers. The bottom of it is, yo, yo,
- 48:26Speaker 1: baptizing ain't doing nothing. My kids still grade band, they
- 48:31Speaker 1: still this over well that why they haven't been coming
- 48:34Speaker 1: to church. You said you're not going to any congregation.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Maybe you guys need to come on back to church
- 48:39Speaker 1: sitting or some sermons. You know, I even work with
- 48:42Speaker 1: your one on one. But um, I can't. I can't
- 48:45Speaker 1: do nothing about the grades in school. I mean and
- 48:49Speaker 1: and and and overall. When you when you have them,
- 48:53Speaker 1: I should see a change in them. And I don't
- 48:56Speaker 1: see a change. But all the time I was going
- 48:59Speaker 1: to your church, I'm playing for these ties. Well I'm
- 49:02Speaker 1: not getting anything. Hey man, all at the end of
- 49:04Speaker 1: the day, Past Henry, I want my money back. That's
- 49:07Speaker 1: what That's what we have. That's brother David. That's not
- 49:10Speaker 1: how it worked. Brother, you hit you understand I'm not
- 49:13Speaker 1: I'm not trying to raise my voice at you. But
- 49:15Speaker 1: you y'a all over them, y'a all over the place
- 49:17Speaker 1: you went. Money back. I don't understand. What can I
- 49:19Speaker 1: do for you. I can tell you now, know you
- 49:21Speaker 1: what you can do my kids. I got them baptized
- 49:24Speaker 1: over there with you all that time I want the church.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I'm playing knee time and playing knee tis playing knee time,
- 49:29Speaker 1: and I get my kids baptized. But the time's gonna
- 49:33Speaker 1: have nothing to do with the baptism. The time I
- 49:36Speaker 1: had something to do with all the path I spit
- 49:39Speaker 1: over there, and I'm not making anything. And that's what
- 49:42Speaker 1: you all in the world. Am I gonna figure out
- 49:45Speaker 1: how much cod you came? I know you ever think
- 49:48Speaker 1: about that? I know exactly. No, no, no, no, you're
- 49:51Speaker 1: hauling my own with this nonsense. You're not even a
- 49:54Speaker 1: number of congregation, and I just don't like it. So
- 49:59Speaker 1: who do you take your boy? Just because you're gonna
- 50:02Speaker 1: you're a man of the trouble. Don't mean that's because
- 50:05Speaker 1: I'm a man raised guy. Don't mean I can't cut
- 50:07Speaker 1: your stout. You understand that. Brothers. If it's something you
- 50:09Speaker 1: need to deal with, you need to talk to people
- 50:11Speaker 1: at the church. Why do I need to talk for
- 50:13Speaker 1: brother dogs when I'm talking about the problem right now?
- 50:17Speaker 1: You're the problem, bash, I'm a problem. I just put
- 50:20Speaker 1: a bunch of tide money and I won't I know
- 50:23Speaker 1: exactly how much I spent over there, and I want
- 50:25Speaker 1: my money back, brother, about that? That's what I care about.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Your time? So that I said your time? Want me
- 50:32Speaker 1: to spell it out? Oh? Well, here kids, or spell out.
- 50:38Speaker 1: I bet they know how to spell it. Okay, don't
- 50:41Speaker 1: be calling me about no damn behave your issues with
- 50:43Speaker 1: your kids. You're back tide. That's the question you need
- 50:45Speaker 1: to be asking. Is you living your life? Think to five? Huh?
- 50:49Speaker 1: You know what? You know what? Brothers, I didn't got
- 50:53Speaker 1: out beside myself, and I'm sorry, brothers. I should not
- 50:56Speaker 1: be using fire linguae since I think what's going on.
- 50:59Speaker 1: We need it. We need to get you and your children,
- 51:01Speaker 1: your wife. Come on down the service on Sunday. I
- 51:03Speaker 1: will sit with you as long as I can. I truly,
- 51:06Speaker 1: I truly think counseling and talk is the only way
- 51:08Speaker 1: out of it. We should not be fighting on this
- 51:11Speaker 1: phone now. Once again, I hope you accept my apology
- 51:17Speaker 1: from my language. Now, can I ask you something? Go ahead, son,
- 51:20Speaker 1: I can hear you, Okay. Brother Dobbs tells me that
- 51:24Speaker 1: you and him are together, y'all together some mornings having
- 51:28Speaker 1: called for you, and brother dogs are every morning that
- 51:30Speaker 1: that I'm not. They're either function or doing something for
- 51:35Speaker 1: the building maintenance to the church. Yeah, he definitely he's
- 51:37Speaker 1: a good brother. Like I told you, I know him
- 51:39Speaker 1: for many years, right right, And he's said that when
- 51:42Speaker 1: y'all having confid that y'all y'all listening to the radio,
- 51:46Speaker 1: is that right? Yeah? Well, I suppose y'all be listening
- 51:50Speaker 1: to Steve Harvy Morning Show. Yeah, it's always on the radio.
- 51:57Speaker 1: He fast, it's so fun. This is this is Nephew
- 51:59Speaker 1: Times man from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Brother Dog
- 52:02Speaker 1: just got me to brank phone call. You know. Now
- 52:10Speaker 1: quickly listen brother Dog here about this. He won game
- 52:14Speaker 1: in your number. I'm too scared to cuss another word,
- 52:20Speaker 1: lets thing out of my character. I didn't think I
- 52:22Speaker 1: didn't did enough for a lifetop of that. I'm gonna
- 52:27Speaker 1: tell you right now. I'm probably these realis didn't come.
- 52:30Speaker 1: And I tell my congression all the time. I even
- 52:33Speaker 1: slip up. So I think it would only be right
- 52:35Speaker 1: to for let me ask you something, man, what is
- 52:40Speaker 1: the baddest And I'm talking about the bad this twenty
- 52:43Speaker 1: a man. You already know man the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 53:17Speaker 1: care of it at the Coolba Center. And you will
- 53:20Speaker 1: see me dipping in and out on the stage. All right,
- 53:23Speaker 1: come catch me. I think us don't see our red

- 53:59Speaker 1: It could be yours. It could be yours. Bugle up
- 54:03Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 54:05Speaker 1: It is, Thank you, nephew. Subject that my boyfriend puts
- 54:10Speaker 1: his friends first. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been dating a
- 54:13Speaker 1: man for almost two years and he has a lot
- 54:17Speaker 1: of female friends. I hung out with all of them,
- 54:20Speaker 1: and at first I tried to act like a team player,
- 54:23Speaker 1: but I see he has no respect for boundaries in
- 54:26Speaker 1: this relationship. He has a lot of house parties, or
- 54:29Speaker 1: his friends will come over and do impromptu cookouts no
- 54:32Speaker 1: matter what we have planned. He drops everything to entertain them.
- 54:37Speaker 1: He calls and invites females over to his house whenever
- 54:40Speaker 1: he's having a get together. I've told him that his
- 54:42Speaker 1: single friends are going to cause him to be a
- 54:44Speaker 1: single man too. Fast forward to last weekend and he
- 54:48Speaker 1: and I went out Friday night and we didn't make
- 54:50Speaker 1: plans for Saturday, so I got up and went to
- 54:53Speaker 1: the mall. As I left out, he told me that
- 54:56Speaker 1: he wanted to have a cookout, something small. I went
- 54:59Speaker 1: to the mall, then home to take a nap, and
- 55:02Speaker 1: then to my boyfriend's house. There were new girls there
- 55:05Speaker 1: that I had never met, and one of them greeted
- 55:07Speaker 1: me as if I as if she was a lady
- 55:10Speaker 1: of the house. My boyfriend ran over to intervene because
- 55:14Speaker 1: he knows me. Three females were in his kitchen, cooking
- 55:18Speaker 1: and making drinks and very comfortable in his home. The
- 55:21Speaker 1: cutest one yelled when her song came on, and she
- 55:24Speaker 1: ran out to the patio to dance with my man.
- 55:28Speaker 1: She told him that was their song from college, and
- 55:31Speaker 1: he told her that he played the song just for her.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Of course, he said, I was blowing things out of proportion.
- 55:38Speaker 1: After I quietly cursed him out in the laundry room,
- 55:41Speaker 1: he tried to assure me that they all went to
- 55:44Speaker 1: college together and it's innocent. He asked if two of
- 55:47Speaker 1: the girls could crash at his house. I said no,
- 55:51Speaker 1: and he said he had already told them they could,
- 55:54Speaker 1: and he didn't want to be rude. Is this all
- 55:57Speaker 1: just innocent fun? Or is he playing me for in
- 56:01Speaker 1: my face? Wow, this guy is not your boyfriend. You
- 56:06Speaker 1: called him your man and everything, But guess what, he's
- 56:09Speaker 1: everybody's man. He's everybody's boyfriend all his college girlfriends. You're
- 56:14Speaker 1: not number one in his life. You're not a priority
- 56:17Speaker 1: in his life. These women are way too familiar to
- 56:21Speaker 1: be considered just his college friends. He had a past
- 56:24Speaker 1: with a few of them. You can believe that they're
- 56:27Speaker 1: saying things like oh, that's our song and then dancing
- 56:30Speaker 1: with him, running out to dance with him on the
- 56:32Speaker 1: patio sleeping over and stuff and acting like they're the
- 56:37Speaker 1: ladies of the house. They're all in the kitchen when
- 56:39Speaker 1: you his supposed girlfriend comes in. They don't even know you,
- 56:44Speaker 1: let alone respect you. I mean, you know, yeah, you
- 56:47Speaker 1: said you hung out with them, but they don't seem
- 56:49Speaker 1: to have a clue who you really are in its
- 56:52Speaker 1: life because guess what, he hasn't told him about you.
- 56:55Speaker 1: He didn't claim you in front of them when he
- 56:57Speaker 1: had a perfect opportunity. Okay, this is not looking good
- 57:01Speaker 1: for you and him and this relationship going forward, and
- 57:04Speaker 1: you need to let him know that. But of course
- 57:07Speaker 1: he will dismiss your feelings and tell you you're blowing
- 57:10Speaker 1: things out of proportion. Again, you may as well be
- 57:14Speaker 1: one of the random chicks at the barbecue for all
- 57:16Speaker 1: it matters, because he's done nothing to show you or
- 57:19Speaker 1: them otherwise. After two years, this is what it is.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I mean, you're just one of the girls to him.
- 57:25Speaker 1: So I suggest to you that you don't waste another
- 57:28Speaker 1: second of your time with him and move on. Let
- 57:31Speaker 1: him have his female friends. He's not worth it. You
- 57:34Speaker 1: deserve to be special to someone, just not him. Steve.
- 57:40Speaker 1: I'm amazed. I'm just simply amazed. Hill. I don't know
- 57:46Speaker 1: how many times I said on this show, but y'all right,
- 57:50Speaker 1: he's led us to this show. You already know what
- 57:53Speaker 1: I've said on this topic before. I've said it over
- 57:56Speaker 1: and over. I'm assuming that people right into the show
- 58:00Speaker 1: because they're fans of the show, and they watch and
- 58:02Speaker 1: they listen to the show. And I assume that people
- 58:06Speaker 1: write into the Straw Bay Letter because they know that
- 58:09Speaker 1: we give out our different takes and advice on these letters.
- 58:12Speaker 1: It's not always advice. Sometimes it's just my take. Now,
- 58:16Speaker 1: Shelley does between the two of us, try to offer
- 58:19Speaker 1: the most advice. I sometimes just give you my take
- 58:24Speaker 1: because sometimes I don't think you need advice. I just
- 58:27Speaker 1: think you just need to hear your stupid ass letter
- 58:29Speaker 1: read back to you. That's how I feel about it. Sometimes.
- 58:33Speaker 1: To me, sometimes I just can't be you typed it.
- 58:35Speaker 1: You set that way and just took the time out.
- 58:38Speaker 1: This letter right here's coming from a person who's obviously
- 58:41Speaker 1: listened to the show before. And so now I gotta
- 58:44Speaker 1: tell you we've gone over this, So here we go again.
- 58:49Speaker 1: My boyfriend puts his friends first. This Stephen Sherley. I've
- 58:53Speaker 1: been dating a man for almost two years and he
- 58:55Speaker 1: has a lot of female friends. Stop right there, Just
- 59:00Speaker 1: go over this line right here. I'm dating a man
- 59:02Speaker 1: that has a lot of female friends. I have told
- 59:05Speaker 1: you every opportunity I get on this show that men
- 59:14Speaker 1: are incapable of having female friends that they have been
- 59:19Speaker 1: attracted to or are currently attracted to. We are incapable
- 59:25Speaker 1: of that. I ain't gonna tell you no, damn mo.
- 59:28Speaker 1: But it looks like I have to tell you again
- 59:30Speaker 1: because this is what this ignorant asslet about right here.
- 59:34Speaker 1: You don't believe fat meat, greasy, Well, let me put
- 59:36Speaker 1: the grease out the pan for you. I hang out
- 59:39Speaker 1: with all of them, and at first I try to
- 59:43Speaker 1: act like a team player, but I see he has
- 59:46Speaker 1: no respect for boundaries in this relationship. You out, ma'am.
- 59:50Speaker 1: You know why he don't have no respect for the
- 59:52Speaker 1: boundaries in the relationship because you don't have any boundaries.
- 59:57Speaker 1: See you, you went along with all of this. You
- 59:59Speaker 1: condonted you hang out with all of them. See, you
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: can't put the velvet rope up and then don't expect
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: nobody to step over it. You gotta have barb wire
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: offense if you're serious. But you got a little velvet
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: rope with the clip on it. Anybody take that off.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: He don't respect the boundaries because you don't have any.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: When we come back, this is more the same, all right, Steve.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour Strawberry letter subject my
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: boyfriend puts his friends first. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. My boyfriend puts his friend first.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Here's another letter about a woman with a man that
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: has female friends, and it then created a problem. I
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: told Joe over and over and over on this show. See,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: I don't care if you agree with Uncle Steve. Agree
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: with what I'm saying. Jesus, facts and the proof keep
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: coming in into all these letters. This man has female friends.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: That ain't what we capable of doing. But okay, let's try.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: And he has a lot of female friends. I hang
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: out with all of them, So once again, you condone this.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: At first, I tried to act like a team player,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: but I see he has no respect for boundaries in
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: this relationship. Once again, he has no boundaries for the
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: relationship because you don't have any boundaries in the relationship.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: See you remember you said you hang out with all
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: of them. You've been going along with this all right.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: He has a lot of house parties, and his friends
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: come over and do impromptu cookouts. Okay, So now you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: got a man that's got some women that can pop
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: by and just start cooking at his house that you're
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: hoping one day becomes y'all's house yellow and they do
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: impromptu cookouts no matter what we have planned. That's interesting.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: He drops everything to entertain them. Oh you mean he's
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: prioritized these fine female friends over you. Okay, I'm sorry.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Maybe I didn't make myself clear about it. He calls
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and invites females over to his house whenever he's having
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to get together. I've told him that his single friends
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: are gonna cause him to be a single man too,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: but it ain't because you still with him. So nice bluff, lady.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: But he keeps calling your bluff. You know why, because
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: he keeps calling these women and you ain't gonna do
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: a damn thing about it. Fast forward to last weekend,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: and he and I went out Friday night and we
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: didn't make plans for Saturday. So I got up and
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: went to the mall. As I left out I went,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I was told that he wanted to have a cookout,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: something small. So I went to the mall, then home
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: to take a nap, and then I went over to
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: my boyfriend's house. There were new girls there. Surprised, Why
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: not having some new girls there? You ain't having problem
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: with the old ones. You give me an inch, I
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: take a yard, You give me a little rope. I'm
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: gonna start pulling a lot of boats in with the rope.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: So now some new girls at the house. Oh, I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: never met, and one of them greeted me as if
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: she was the lady at the house. She didn't greet
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you as the lady at the house as she was.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: She was in her mind at that particular moment, lady
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: in the house. She didn't even know who you was.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Hey girl, how are you doing? Welcome? Come on in.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: We all set up in the back. You look as
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: stupid you at the house taking naps. My boyfriend ran
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: over the intervene because he knows me, know what. No.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: All he got to do is smooth it over with you,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: and he gonna make you lick this up and like
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: it too. That's what he know about you. Let me
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: run over here and make her lick this and like
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: this too. And that's just what he did too. Three
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: females were in the kitchen, cooking and making drinks, and
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: very comfortable in his home. That's because they've been there before.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: The cutest one, yea. When her song came on and
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: she ran to the pattio on the dance with my man,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: she told him that was the song from college. He
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: told he played that song just for her. How many
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: times I got to tell you we can't be friends
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: with no fine ass women. I told you that now
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: after dancing on the damn patio today, damn song, he
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: played it just for that's our song. Who did you say,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: ran out there, the cutest one? I told you that
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: ain't what we do. Of course, he said, I was
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: blowing things out of proportion. After I quietly cursed him
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: out in the laund room. See do you do all
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: your business behind closed doors? He in your face, all
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: up front? You do all the cousins in the laund
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: room quietly if you want to. He out on the
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: patio dancing with the music turn up. You see the
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: difference between y'all two, you try to respect him. He
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: ain't got none for you. He tried to show me
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: that they all went to college together, and it was
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: in innocent. They did all go to college together, all up,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: even the one they had the favorite song they wore screwing.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: It's not innocent, okay. He asked if two of the
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: girls could crack. He go to Google. He asked two
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: the girls could crash at his house. I said no,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: He said he already told them they couldn't. He didn't
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: want to be rude. Wait a minute, hold up, what
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: so you don't understand how stupid are you? Lady? Let
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: me ask you just how stupid you are? You are
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: always and after thought, Yeah, y'all can stay over here. Hey, babies,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: it okay if they stay over here. No, well, I'm
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: already told they could. But because this is his house,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: it's not y'all's house, he'd have told them they can stay.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: So now all y'all gonna be in there sleeping together.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Wait a minute, you went over, You didn't went along
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: with the cookouts. Let me see if I can press
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: this button a liver. You didn't mind the girls come over,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: So guess what I got some new girls coming over.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: You see what I'm saying. I'm gonna keep pressing this
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: button because I'm gonna make you lick it and like
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: it what I'm capable of doing, and you're gonna go
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: along with it. Now here's the question. It's just just
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: all innocent funnels. He played me for a fool in
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: my face. Here's what I want you to do, young lady.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I want you to go over to a mirror in
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: your house. I want you to look in that mirror,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: and I want you to realize something that the face
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: you see is the fool. Might Thank you, Thank you,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Tell Marge some girls. It's coming over, all friends, All right,

- 1:07:36Speaker 1: made a difference and I will keep making this difference.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Thank you very much. I'll talk a trash to everybody
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: in my family with a degree. Well, you ain't got

- 1:07:50Speaker 1: love it. Yeah, I'm excited for the bar. I'm flying
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: out today, so I'll see you all in the morning. Also,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: now out of Cleveland Man the Cleveland Brown quarterback to
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Shawn Watson's back in the news, another woman has come
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: forward against him, alleged inappropriate sexual conduct. The twenty third
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: woman to file suit against Watson. Her name is Nia
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Smith out of Houston, Texas, and she too has accused
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: the Shawn Watson of sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Does
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: lawsuit alleged that Smith had her first massade session with
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Watson during the summer of the twenty twenty, and then
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: his behavior grew worse. It is alleged that during the
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: third and final massage that Watson exposed himself, touched her
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: between the legs, and repeatedly requested that the Plantiffs have
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: sex with him. Now. According to the lawsuits, she decided
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to come forward after watching HBO's Real Sports with Brian
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Gumble last week and saw two former Plantiffs talking about
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: her sexual misconduct cases against Watson. Now. According to Smith's lawyer,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Smith was struck by the courage of the victims to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: step forward and speak out, and she was extremely displeased
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: by Watson. I'm saying that he has no regrets and
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: he has done nothing wrong. What is doing what kind
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: of misside? Is what you see? What conde are So
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: we don't know when he will be playing for Cleveland.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: So it's Baker Mayfield the back of He's still the back,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: He's still on the roster. I thought he laughed, Well wait, wait,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: let's ask the Cleveland fan. He to this right here.

- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Devon Franklin has a new job as a relationship expert,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: and it's on one of your favorite shows, Steve Married

- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Making Good ex husband? They just recently divorced. Um. Well, anyway,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: and that's kind of what this story is about a
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: little bit. He will be He will be a relationship
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: coach on season fifteen, despite his divorce from Making Good,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: and he doubted whether or not he'd um take the
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: job because of the haters that would say he's not qualified,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: he posted in an instagram on Instagram. I was going
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: to tell them no because I felt ashamed and that
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: the voice in my head had said You're a failure.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: How can you help anyone save their marriage when yours
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: didn't work out? And then I had to ask myself,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: is this how I'm going to live the rest of
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: my life and fear about what people say and who
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: are people? Anyways? So he was done, he was you know,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: he was offered the job, he started not to take
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: it because he had a failed marriage. Well, I understand that,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: of course I do. Yeah, haven't been married several times.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I do understand exactly where he's coming from. But here's
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: the thing. Failure is a wonderful teacher. You can learn
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: some masterful lessons from failing. The only reason I ain't
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: gonna listen to him because they live from egging good.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: That's the part I don't understand. What to him, That's
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: the part that's troubling me. It didn't work out. Yeah,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: he's not about you. Not to be given relationship is
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: just your damn judgment is a little bit off to me.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: That's what I'm going based on. I'm just every time
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: I see making good, I'll be trying to figure out
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: what's what's really wrong? You know, comes back to you know,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: because you look at some of the most brutiful women
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: in the world and they just have in trouble. Well,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: you know it's just not the hell is not for you, Thomas,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: It's never going to happen. What's a that's a fitment
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: of your very small lass imagination. Maybe a little lifetime though,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: you know, well this lifetime you're gonna have to die
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: ahead at lifetime and what is you gonna come back
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: as hally shitland pony? So so Cistero Delton's you're here.

- 1:24:54Speaker 1: to do the dough latch. And so when she came
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: out the room and shut the dough, I stayed in
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: the hallway like I was doing something else talking, and
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: I just went in there and pushed the door open.

- 1:25:20Speaker 1: just cleaned the room, so I just kept I was homeless,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: so I just need to play stape folded. I was
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: watching TV and the thing. Every time they knocked on
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the door for room service, I said no, thank you.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: Then finally the management came up that day for and
