- 0:20Speaker 1: Good Steve Hartley, I don't joy. You gotta turn out
- 1:13Speaker 1: very You gotta turn to turn them out, turning, got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn out to turn the water the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing, huh, I share will Good morning
- 2:03Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:06Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:10Speaker 1: show you know today I was thinking of what I
- 2:14Speaker 1: would say today and it just dawned on me this way,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and I just want to share this with everybody listening.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You've got to get some help to make it through life.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I cannot imagine where I would be if it was
- 2:27Speaker 1: not for the help of my God, if it wasn't
- 2:31Speaker 1: for his grace and mercy, if I did not have
- 2:34Speaker 1: the ability to lean on him and all the times
- 2:38Speaker 1: I've had to lean on him, which has become a
- 2:40Speaker 1: daily basis. I have no idea where I would be,
- 2:44Speaker 1: but clearly I know for a matter of fact, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: would not be here today. You have got to get
- 2:50Speaker 1: some help to get through this thing called life. I
- 2:53Speaker 1: am begging you to look into it. Man, you've got
- 2:56Speaker 1: to form a relationship with God. Without a relationship with God,
- 3:01Speaker 1: this thing called life is daunting at times. I don't
- 3:04Speaker 1: care who you are. I know I'm speaking the truth
- 3:06Speaker 1: right now, because listen, no matter who you are, what
- 3:11Speaker 1: job tighter you have, what aspirations you may have, I
- 3:15Speaker 1: don't care what your educational background is or is not.
- 3:19Speaker 1: It does not matter if you don't get a real
- 3:22Speaker 1: relationship going on with God. I don't see how you
- 3:24Speaker 1: can make it. So many people are faking and fronting
- 3:27Speaker 1: out here like they got it going on, and you
- 3:30Speaker 1: don't know, And you really don't know how many people
- 3:33Speaker 1: that you think in your neighborhood had it going on
- 3:36Speaker 1: because you saw a car pull up in the driveway,
- 3:38Speaker 1: or the house look bigger, or grass is cutting nicer,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and you only find out that a foreclosed your side
- 3:45Speaker 1: on their house too. See, you don't know. The mask
- 3:48Speaker 1: that people put on to parade around in is for
- 3:51Speaker 1: appearing's sakes. So a lot of people you looking at
- 3:55Speaker 1: that you think got it going on? Who might be
- 3:57Speaker 1: the pattern of success that you want to trace? You
- 4:00Speaker 1: got to be real careful with that because it may
- 4:02Speaker 1: not be as it appears to be. But one thing
- 4:05Speaker 1: is for sure, no matter what's going on in your life,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I know that behind whatever mask I'm wearing, or I realized,
- 4:14Speaker 1: or no matter what the appearances may be, that on
- 4:18Speaker 1: the other side of me, I'm gonna be just fine. See.
- 4:22Speaker 1: You may be outwardly people hating on you, talking about you,
- 4:26Speaker 1: dragging your name through the mud. Look, man, people can
- 4:30Speaker 1: say stuff about you. Most people talking about you don't
- 4:32Speaker 1: even know you. They just participating in it. You can
- 4:36Speaker 1: have that appearance going on, but behind you, within you,
- 4:40Speaker 1: if you have a relationship with God, it don't matter
- 4:44Speaker 1: because you can be all right. I've seen it get
- 4:46Speaker 1: real stormy on the outside for me, but on the
- 4:49Speaker 1: inside I just had to feel and I was gonna
- 4:52Speaker 1: be all right. See. That's what the relationship gives you, man.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It gives you the confidence to note that the things
- 4:58Speaker 1: that you're going through are temporary, that it's just a
- 5:02Speaker 1: space that you happen to be in. Like I said
- 5:04Speaker 1: the other day, you got to remember something. The road
- 5:07Speaker 1: to success is always under construction. You might as well
- 5:11Speaker 1: get ready for that. If you're planning on changing, getting
- 5:15Speaker 1: better doing something about your health. If you decide, hey, look,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I just would like to live a longer, more prosperous life,
- 5:22Speaker 1: or hey, I want to make X amount of dollars,
- 5:25Speaker 1: or hey man, I'm gonna stop staying out in these
- 5:27Speaker 1: streets and I'm gonna come home and treat my family
- 5:29Speaker 1: where they ought to be treated. I don't care what
- 5:31Speaker 1: decision you make. When you strike out on that road
- 5:34Speaker 1: to success, it's under construction, partner. There's barrels out there,
- 5:39Speaker 1: there's wide turns, there's detools. You know. It's it's me
- 5:43Speaker 1: and out there holding signs saying slow down. Sometimes they
- 5:46Speaker 1: put the stop sign up. You got to wait and
- 5:49Speaker 1: watch people go buy you on the other side. Then
- 5:52Speaker 1: before you can take off again. You've all been on
- 5:55Speaker 1: the road with construction on it. It can be so frustrated.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And the whole time you own that road. I know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: when I'm on the road we could under construction. I'm
- 6:04Speaker 1: always thinking of an alternative path. I ain't ever set
- 6:09Speaker 1: in traffic under construction, man, and thought of if I
- 6:13Speaker 1: get off on this exit, where would it take me?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Not knowing, but just man, could I keep moving if
- 6:19Speaker 1: I go that way? That's a dangerous thing sometimes, see,
- 6:22Speaker 1: because oftentimes when we get off the road to success
- 6:25Speaker 1: and we take that other path, we get further and
- 6:29Speaker 1: further off course because we're nod tool sign for that.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Just a decision I made on my own because I
- 6:34Speaker 1: don't like sitting here sometimes I don't have the patience
- 6:37Speaker 1: I ought to have, so I've taken some what I
- 6:39Speaker 1: thought might be shortcuts. But I gotta tell you something,
- 6:42Speaker 1: ain't no shortcuts on the road to success. Even the
- 6:45Speaker 1: detour signs wind up taking you a little bit out
- 6:48Speaker 1: your way. And look background. I remember one time I
- 6:50Speaker 1: was coming from Las Vegas and that was some type
- 6:54Speaker 1: of chemical spill in a truck and you could all
- 7:00Speaker 1: see the smoke up ahead and very faint. So they
- 7:04Speaker 1: detoured us through the desert and we had to go
- 7:07Speaker 1: all the way around, and I drove, man like an
- 7:09Speaker 1: hour and a half out of the way, and when
- 7:12Speaker 1: they entered us back on the freeway where we were
- 7:15Speaker 1: to go back to La as soon as I got
- 7:17Speaker 1: at that exit to get back on the freeway, I
- 7:20Speaker 1: looked right there and there the accident was. Now it
- 7:24Speaker 1: was an hour and a half hour forty five all
- 7:27Speaker 1: the way around in that desert, to get back to
- 7:30Speaker 1: almost the same place. But it was the best way
- 7:34Speaker 1: to go because see, that was the route to take.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And that's what you got to understand about trying to
- 7:40Speaker 1: make the right decision to be successful, that the road
- 7:43Speaker 1: to success is always under construction. You're gonna have to
- 7:47Speaker 1: go around a little bit, so could stop being in
- 7:49Speaker 1: patient with it. I don't want to go around. IM
- 7:51Speaker 1: gonna go this way, You go that way if you
- 7:52Speaker 1: want to, just follow the detour signe. See, because somebody
- 7:56Speaker 1: that came up this road before you have, somebody didn't
- 8:00Speaker 1: travel the road already and they took the way around,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and yeah, it seemed like it's a longer way, and
- 8:05Speaker 1: you want to make that other decision. But stay on
- 8:08Speaker 1: the road to success. It's under construction, man, that's just
- 8:11Speaker 1: the way it goes. Don't lose your patience and try
- 8:14Speaker 1: to create a shortcut for yourself. I'm gonna go away.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Ain't nobody ever gone way? Hold a partner, you really
- 8:20Speaker 1: thank you for going to do that. Listen. There's oftentimes
- 8:22Speaker 1: a lot of rewards when you go the least travel path,
- 8:27Speaker 1: but the road to success is the least travel path.
- 8:30Speaker 1: That's what you keep getting mixed up. You keep thinking
- 8:33Speaker 1: if you go another way, now, No, stay on the
- 8:35Speaker 1: road to success. That is the least travel path. It's
- 8:39Speaker 1: under construction. You can go out there with you with
- 8:42Speaker 1: your machete. If you want to talk about cutting new trails.
- 8:45Speaker 1: You think the road to success is under construction, take
- 8:49Speaker 1: the other route and get that machette out and see
- 8:52Speaker 1: how long you be out there trying to cut a path. Sometimes, Man,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you just got to stay patient. The road to success
- 8:59Speaker 1: has been traveled before by millions of people in front
- 9:02Speaker 1: of you, everybody that has some setbacks in life. But
- 9:05Speaker 1: don't get off the road to success just because you're
- 9:07Speaker 1: having some setbacks, just because you see some orange barrels up,
- 9:11Speaker 1: just because there's some men out there with vest on.
- 9:13Speaker 1: What that got to do with you? Everybody, everybody that's
- 9:17Speaker 1: trying to be successful, is on that road. Your relationship
- 9:21Speaker 1: with God helps you guide yourself around the barrels. It
- 9:26Speaker 1: helps you have the patience to go around that away.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He gonna get you back where you gotta be. But
- 9:32Speaker 1: you got to go out there so you can learn something. See,
- 9:35Speaker 1: you need God to make it in life because the
- 9:39Speaker 1: road to success is always under construction. He calms you down.
- 9:44Speaker 1: When the barrels is up, he lets you know it's
- 9:47Speaker 1: gonna be all right. He rewards you with the patience
- 9:49Speaker 1: to finish because he gonna get you right back where
- 9:52Speaker 1: you need to be and you can get on which
- 9:54Speaker 1: where you was going. Okay, all right, yall, we're gonna
- 9:57Speaker 1: try that today. You're listening SA Morning Show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: let's get it all. It's the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Hey man, let me tell y'all something I cannot tell
- 10:10Speaker 1: you how twenty twenty two is going for me simply
- 10:15Speaker 1: by waking up every single morning with nothing to start
- 10:19Speaker 1: my day except gratitude. I don't check no text, I
- 10:25Speaker 1: don't look at my email. I don't. I don't kennerbuddy,
- 10:29Speaker 1: don't even if you know me, you know how to
- 10:30Speaker 1: email me anyway. I don't do none of that. Look, man,
- 10:34Speaker 1: I wake up and just start thanking him and I
- 10:38Speaker 1: go down the list and it don't And you ain't
- 10:40Speaker 1: got to worrybody getting redundant because it's the same grateful
- 10:44Speaker 1: things to be grateful for. It's just a new way
- 10:47Speaker 1: to look at it. Like, if you wake up today,
- 10:50Speaker 1: don't you know that's a big opportunity than waking up yesterday.
- 10:53Speaker 1: What that's a big gift, man, you are to thank you.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you, welcome to twenty twenty two.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Make your twenty twenty two go a lot better with
- 11:02Speaker 1: starting off each morning with gratitude. Now, Junior, what's on
- 11:06Speaker 1: your mind? Uncle LEVI ask you so, and you know,
- 11:10Speaker 1: just talking to you is always fun. I just got
- 11:13Speaker 1: the question. I just want to know this because I
- 11:15Speaker 1: know I got messed up, but up. How many whoppers
- 11:18Speaker 1: you think you got behind line? How many whippings I
- 11:24Speaker 1: got from my parents for lying? Yeah, Mike, you're like, well,
- 11:30Speaker 1: because anytime I was gone, if I thought I was
- 11:32Speaker 1: gonna get a whipping, that was a lie because I
- 11:36Speaker 1: had to tell you something to try to fend it off.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I knew why you called me in and I heard
- 11:42Speaker 1: the accusation. But if you if you're talking to me,
- 11:46Speaker 1: and if your conversation has the tone that this could
- 11:49Speaker 1: be a ass whipping, I have to start lying at
- 11:52Speaker 1: this point because obviously you bought me in here for
- 11:55Speaker 1: some truth. You've called me in here for some truth. Boy,
- 12:00Speaker 1: you didn't see them street lights? Come on, boy, didn't
- 12:03Speaker 1: I tell you to go out. Not to go out
- 12:05Speaker 1: in that street. Boy, I thought, I said, don't play
- 12:08Speaker 1: on them steps? Boy? Did you throw that rock through
- 12:11Speaker 1: that wonder? Boy? Didn't I tell you not to climb
- 12:14Speaker 1: up in that tree? Boy, Didn't I tell you to
- 12:16Speaker 1: mop down them steps before we was gone board? Didn't
- 12:19Speaker 1: I tell you to rake them leads for you went
- 12:21Speaker 1: out to play? Boy? Didn't I tell you not to
- 12:23Speaker 1: throw that football over that by Miss Johnson's house? No more?
- 12:26Speaker 1: All lease, all these once you brought me in and
- 12:33Speaker 1: had a tone of accusation to it. Nah, I got
- 12:37Speaker 1: to lie. I got to lie because I already know
- 12:40Speaker 1: already no. And so now my parents, being the brilliant
- 12:45Speaker 1: people that they were, they knew lies because I didn't
- 12:49Speaker 1: know how to tell them at first. Like I don't
- 12:51Speaker 1: know if you could see this on zoom, but like
- 12:53Speaker 1: this is how I would start all my lives. Boy,
- 12:56Speaker 1: didn't I tell you not to throw that football by
- 12:58Speaker 1: Miss Johnson's house? I got to look off because I
- 13:01Speaker 1: was searched for the lie. I would look right or
- 13:04Speaker 1: left because I got to look for this line. And
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you so I had to learn over
- 13:09Speaker 1: the years, lads of being focused whole yass still lie,
- 13:14Speaker 1: don't blink, don't swallow some techniques to line. And so
- 13:18Speaker 1: I turned into one of the top lines in the
- 13:20Speaker 1: country because of that. But I want to answer your question,
- 13:23Speaker 1: how many asses out and took for line? Probably about
- 13:27Speaker 1: probably about hunting. That's nothing to be proud of, Steve.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Answer the court truth level might be a little shot
- 13:38Speaker 1: coming up with thirty two minutes after the hour was
- 13:41Speaker 1: the Nephew and run that frank back right after this.
- 13:45Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it
- 13:49Speaker 1: is time now for the nephew and run that frank back.
- 13:52Speaker 1: What you got for us? Now? Um, I got papers
- 13:56Speaker 1: on that man. I got papers on that man, cat dog.
- 14:02Speaker 1: If you would hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach uh
- 14:11Speaker 1: this Phyllis, Yes, it is who am I speaking to?
- 14:15Speaker 1: All right, Phillis? This is this is Jim down at
- 14:18Speaker 1: the top. How I work out here with Clem your

- 14:46Speaker 1: we um, Now who is you? Now? I'm his wife,
- 14:50Speaker 1: I'm I'm just my chilly, you're you're your Phillis. That's right,
- 14:55Speaker 1: that's right. Okay, because we got listed that his wife
- 14:59Speaker 1: is jam and we tried to call her earlier but
- 15:02Speaker 1: we didn't get an I'm his wife, so I'm his wife.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I don't know Janis? Who the hell is Janis? Janis
- 15:09Speaker 1: is who he has listed for a contact? When when uh,
- 15:12Speaker 1: when it's an emergency contact or something she happens. Now
- 15:16Speaker 1: y'all got that mixed up? Yeah, Ill must have nixed
- 15:18Speaker 1: that up somehow. He wouldn't have put no, no damn
- 15:21Speaker 1: Janis as his wife. I'm his wife. Steal it. So
- 15:23Speaker 1: I don't know who who messed up? But that ain't right.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I'm the wife. Okay, Well it has her listened as
- 15:30Speaker 1: the wife and call her as a contact if something
- 15:33Speaker 1: goes wrong. Well, I don't know what to tell you
- 15:35Speaker 1: is because i'm his wife. Now, I don't I don't
- 15:37Speaker 1: know who messed up. Hold on one second, let me
- 15:40Speaker 1: let me click over one second of a call coming
- 15:42Speaker 1: to any one se jan it's on the dog on.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I don't know. Okay, that was Janis what she said.
- 15:53Speaker 1: She but she's gonna come out to the job, so
- 15:55Speaker 1: you don't have to know. Now I'm coming out to
- 15:58Speaker 1: the job. I'm his wife. I don't know who No
- 16:00Speaker 1: Janis is. That John need to get it straight because commy,
- 16:06Speaker 1: she says she's gonna come and take him to the doctor.

- 16:12Speaker 1: taking it. No, you don't let you don't lease my
- 16:15Speaker 1: husband the note naughty. I'm is freaking white. So y'all
- 16:19Speaker 1: need to say, y'all Ye Janis says she'll be right
- 16:23Speaker 1: here in ten minutes. Well I'm right. I bet I
- 16:26Speaker 1: beat there in ten minutes too, And I bet y'all
- 16:28Speaker 1: been not release my husband and nobody. I'm in white.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I don't know who No Janis is, but y'all need

- 16:44Speaker 1: us to produce that I got the papers on that man. Okay, Well,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I'm just saying, uh, Janiss, he does have her on
- 16:54Speaker 1: the list. Man, so I can't What do you have
- 16:56Speaker 1: on the list side, I don't give it. What's on
- 16:59Speaker 1: the list? Who? Yeah? Name on the list? Man? Why
- 17:02Speaker 1: would her name be above your name on the list?
- 17:05Speaker 1: You know well, I'm not gonna play this little ring
- 17:07Speaker 1: around the rosie with you. I got papers on that, man,
- 17:09Speaker 1: so you better met Bessie. I best hold up until
- 17:12Speaker 1: I get there. And cat y'all want some more problems.

- 17:35Speaker 1: hung up with you. I ain't got time to play

- 17:54Speaker 1: as woman I got, you said, go, I seem like
- 17:57Speaker 1: I got some business to take care of over there. Okay,
- 18:00Speaker 1: Well what am I supposed to do with Jannis? Like
- 18:03Speaker 1: I said, you're telling that the home of cap I'm
- 18:06Speaker 1: on my way. She's trying to represent like me, trying
- 18:10Speaker 1: to be me. Okay, wife, you will you what? What

- 19:14Speaker 1: your seventh answer? Yeah? Yeah, I think it's seven. I think, yeah,
- 19:19Speaker 1: we just celebrated seven. Don't truck But he know, yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 1: he bet your nesto nothing. He knows all me and
- 19:28Speaker 1: know how long they've been in? Come on? What in prison?
- 19:33Speaker 1: What down down to the hour and the second? How
- 19:38Speaker 1: many you've been in t twenty? You say that the
- 19:46Speaker 1: June be twenty one? Lord, forty one years? Wait a minute,
- 19:54Speaker 1: forty one? What do you mean forty one? Forty one years?
- 19:58Speaker 1: I've been married since I was twenty four. The whole
- 20:07Speaker 1: damn time I've been married. I even to be married
- 20:10Speaker 1: or engaged the entire damn time for the one years
- 20:16Speaker 1: I won't I won't live time for credits served. You
- 20:22Speaker 1: give me all my damn years in this here? All right?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Coming up next, asked the CLO. With our Chief Love
- 20:28Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey in the building right after this, you're
- 20:32Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 20:35Speaker 1: the top of the hour and entertainment news. Guess who's
- 20:38Speaker 1: expecting baby number eight? What they still do eights? Yeah, yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 1: just sound like Nick Cannon is. Yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 20:51Speaker 1: We'll talk about it about it. Another one and a
- 20:55Speaker 1: sexy new actor has been added to the Fast and
- 20:58Speaker 1: Furious list. This is Fast and Furious number ten movie,
- 21:02Speaker 1: and we got to check in with Tyrese to find
- 21:04Speaker 1: out how he feels about it. That's all coming up,
- 21:07Speaker 1: but right now it is time for asks. The CLO
- 21:10Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building, ready for
- 21:13Speaker 1: your love questions. Dorothy La writes, I'm sixty seven years
- 21:17Speaker 1: old and my boyfriend is sixty nine. He's got bad
- 21:20Speaker 1: teeth and most of them have been pulled out. Last
- 21:23Speaker 1: week he got two more pulled on the left side,
- 21:26Speaker 1: so it looks terrible. He's not at all bothered by it,
- 21:30Speaker 1: but I'm ashamed. I know it's a money issue for
- 21:33Speaker 1: him because his insurance is terrible. Why won't he let
- 21:36Speaker 1: me help him? First of all, let me help you
- 21:41Speaker 1: with a couple of things at sixty seven and sixty nine?
- 21:47Speaker 1: Why are you using the term boyfriend? I don't even
- 21:54Speaker 1: understand that, y'all. Damnns seventy? Well is a turn boyfriend
- 22:01Speaker 1: coming from next He ain't just start having bad teeth
- 22:08Speaker 1: when you're seventy. This has been a continuous problem. He
- 22:12Speaker 1: didn't have got two more pull out the left What
- 22:16Speaker 1: do you mean out of the left. The left side
- 22:19Speaker 1: is the corner teeth missing. It's hard when the corner
- 22:22Speaker 1: teeth is missing, that right there on the side where
- 22:25Speaker 1: you smile, when you smile all the way and nobody
- 22:28Speaker 1: grinned what you know more? You know? You know people smiling.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Then when you smile all the way and you go
- 22:33Speaker 1: and you see that gap, people going because man all
- 22:43Speaker 1: his teeth missing on the side. And so now you've
- 22:46Speaker 1: got to help him because it's an embarrassment and it
- 22:50Speaker 1: do bother him. But see, since you still let him
- 22:54Speaker 1: be your boyfriend, it ain't no consequences. So now when
- 23:00Speaker 1: your man looked bad, ladies, and you claim him as
- 23:04Speaker 1: your man. I hate to tell you this. I didn't
- 23:08Speaker 1: create this rule, but you get blamed for it though
- 23:11Speaker 1: how she let him come out the house looking like that.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Women get blamed for a lot of stuff, ain't they fault?
- 23:17Speaker 1: But you do get blamed for it. And there ain't
- 23:18Speaker 1: no Steve Harvey rule and nothing. Uncle Steve ain't saying this,
- 23:21Speaker 1: but I gonna get his ragged ass mouth fixed for
- 23:24Speaker 1: we go anywhere else. But we're not going to church.
- 23:27Speaker 1: We're not going down here to bingo, We're not doing
- 23:30Speaker 1: none of this now, damn mother, you get your ragged
- 23:32Speaker 1: ass mouth. Shop everybody, all right, shop everybody shop everybody.
- 23:42Speaker 1: We hear that. Stop spitting on me. Go ahead, get
- 23:46Speaker 1: your damn mouth moving onto Keisha and Charlotte. Keisha's is
- 23:51Speaker 1: five years ago. I had a threesome with a married couple.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It only happened once, and now I date their son,
- 24:00Speaker 1: who's eight years younger than me. The wife called me
- 24:03Speaker 1: and said her son is off limits. I told her
- 24:05Speaker 1: if she called again, I'd let her son know I
- 24:08Speaker 1: slept with his mama and his daddy. Would be wrong
- 24:11Speaker 1: for that. Well, you ain't gonna wear about her calling
- 24:14Speaker 1: no more that for damn show. She will not put
- 24:17Speaker 1: in another phone call. That was an ultimate slap threat
- 24:20Speaker 1: right there. If you call me one more time, I'm
- 24:22Speaker 1: gonna tell him that I slept with your mama and
- 24:25Speaker 1: your daddy. You ain't got to wear about her calling. No,
- 24:29Speaker 1: damn mo. This is the only family in town, though.
- 24:33Speaker 1: How small? When do y'all live in a village? Why
- 24:37Speaker 1: do y'all live Charlotte, Charlotte, Yeah, Charlotte. Oh that's where
- 24:44Speaker 1: they're from. Yeah, No, there must be in a subdivision,
- 24:48Speaker 1: because Charlotte, big enough to get lost in. You can
- 24:50Speaker 1: have a couple of people. You see it in Charlotte.
- 24:52Speaker 1: You must live in a subdivision that's way out and
- 24:55Speaker 1: ain't y'all ain't got no calls or nothing, because where's you?
- 24:59Speaker 1: Keep going back over to that family. Family, everybody in
- 25:05Speaker 1: that family cute mama to daddy, a little boy. Lady,
- 25:09Speaker 1: you need to move around, he needs you. Never heard
- 25:12Speaker 1: the time spread Joe oats? You spread him further, all right?
- 25:18Speaker 1: Moving on to Janetta in Kansas City, Missouri, who says
- 25:23Speaker 1: I went on a blind date that my cousin set up,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and she said, the guy used to drink a lot,
- 25:28Speaker 1: but he's doing better and he's ready to settle down.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I had two glasses of wine while we were out,
- 25:34Speaker 1: and he started judging me, saying I should stop at two.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I wanted to call him a drunk and leave. Was
- 25:41Speaker 1: I wrong for drinking? Well, he's an alcoholic and he
- 25:48Speaker 1: shouldn't be around the temptation and now he trying to
- 25:52Speaker 1: be up at him. He got a lot of damn nerves.
- 25:57Speaker 1: But why did they introduce you to him? Because he's
- 26:01Speaker 1: doing better now and he's ready to Okay, Well, I
- 26:05Speaker 1: bet he is, But see nothing to settle down with
- 26:09Speaker 1: me and then have your ask some relapse. Man, I
- 26:12Speaker 1: was listening to this dude that drank heavy and he
- 26:18Speaker 1: he had me laughing so hard. It wasn't funny. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 1: well to me, it was. Let me stop that. I
- 26:25Speaker 1: was laughing so hard. He said, I'm a strong ass
- 26:30Speaker 1: man and he drank a lot. He said he's alcoholic,
- 26:33Speaker 1: he's I'm strong ass man to dude said have you
- 26:37Speaker 1: ever thought about going to a A? He said, AA
- 26:40Speaker 1: is for quitters. Wait, man, this dude right here, he'd
- 26:50Speaker 1: have propped himself up to the point where you tried
- 26:53Speaker 1: as for quitters. Okay, that's wrong. For drink no, hele No,
- 27:03Speaker 1: you had two glasses of wine but he couldn't handle
- 27:07Speaker 1: it and he's judged. Yeah, I think I think you do.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I think this should be your last date with the
- 27:12Speaker 1: blind date. Dude, this ain't gonna work out. It ain't
- 27:16Speaker 1: for you, all right. Teresia and Um Jacksonville says, I'm
- 27:21Speaker 1: a thirty year old single mother and I'm in a
- 27:23Speaker 1: financial bond. My child's dad hasn't paid child support in
- 27:27Speaker 1: a year because he's unemployed. His wife makes good money,
- 27:30Speaker 1: so I told him to ask her for the money.
- 27:33Speaker 1: She called me and cursed me out. If they're married,
- 27:36Speaker 1: shouldn't she want to help support his child. Nope, not
- 27:42Speaker 1: at all, that's what you think. And legally it can't
- 27:46Speaker 1: even it can't even happen. Legally, it's not her responsibility
- 27:51Speaker 1: at all. It's his responsibility. He made that child. You
- 27:57Speaker 1: call it, lady again, you're gonna get cussed out again
- 28:01Speaker 1: and hard and next time. And legally, there's nothing you
- 28:04Speaker 1: should do. And I don't know how you even thought
- 28:07Speaker 1: you can't get support from this woman. Are you nuts?
- 28:11Speaker 1: You got to talk to this guy that's on him? No? Yeah,
- 28:16Speaker 1: all right, thank you. Cielo. Coming up at the top
- 28:19Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news for you
- 28:21Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 28:28Speaker 1: we want to remember beautiful Chesley christ former Miss USA,
- 28:33Speaker 1: who passed away on Sunday morning after jumping from a
- 28:36Speaker 1: building in Manhattan. Now, according to the NYPD, Chris, who
- 28:41Speaker 1: is a native of North Carolina, was thirty years old
- 28:44Speaker 1: and was crowned Miss USA back in twenty nineteen. She
- 28:47Speaker 1: worked as an attorney seeking reform of America's justice system,
- 28:51Speaker 1: and she was licensed to practice law in two states.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Chris also worked yeah as a correspondent for Extra tv
- 29:00Speaker 1: um and before her death. On Sunday, she posted an
- 29:03Speaker 1: Instagram picture of herself with the caption made this day
- 29:06Speaker 1: bring you rest and peace. Um Steve, I know you
- 29:09Speaker 1: didn't know her well, but you did get a chance
- 29:11Speaker 1: to work together work with her at the Miss Universe
- 29:14Speaker 1: pageant back in December. Yeah, we just did it. She
- 29:18Speaker 1: was the correspondent alongside Kelsey. Uh yeah, Chris um No grandma,
- 29:27Speaker 1: what's his name? I liked the guy too, Elsey Grammar,
- 29:30Speaker 1: no Nost Carson Crestle, Carsley Carson Crestley. They were side
- 29:38Speaker 1: by side, so all my tosses went to them, and
- 29:43Speaker 1: you know, we stood on stage and did the final
- 29:46Speaker 1: goodbyes together, and after the show, you know, we were
- 29:50Speaker 1: talking with her and her mother because her mom is
- 29:52Speaker 1: in the forty fifties gorgeous woman, and were standing next
- 29:55Speaker 1: to her and Margie was hugged and talking about hanging
- 29:57Speaker 1: that sish. You know, we're in these fifties, we gotta
- 30:00Speaker 1: looking good. We's laughing. So Laurie was standing there talking
- 30:03Speaker 1: to it, taking pictures with it. You know, gorgeous girls
- 30:06Speaker 1: that's just all be cheerful. You just never never know.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And that's why, man, it's so important. Man when you
- 30:16Speaker 1: call and checking people and you say how you doing,
- 30:19Speaker 1: really find out how they're doing, you know, go deeper
- 30:22Speaker 1: than don't. Don't just make it a superficial cart how
- 30:25Speaker 1: you doing? Man, I'm hanging in there. Man, Hold up, dog?
- 30:28Speaker 1: Oh what you mean you're hanging in there? What's what's
- 30:30Speaker 1: happening with you? Oh? You know, got a couple of things?
- 30:34Speaker 1: What you got, man, let's talk about it, you know,
- 30:37Speaker 1: because if you're friends with somebody, didn't be their friend.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I'm not blaming anybody for this because you don't know.
- 30:43Speaker 1: But I'm just suggesting to people that maybe when we
- 30:46Speaker 1: talk to our people, our loved ones and people we
- 30:49Speaker 1: care about, the next time we ask them how they're
- 30:51Speaker 1: doing and they say, I'm all right, you know, probe
- 30:54Speaker 1: a little bit, pro probe a little bit. You know.
- 31:00Speaker 1: When she calls, she's not doesn't sound quite right. My
- 31:04Speaker 1: question to her is, okay, how are you sounding right now? Though?
- 31:09Speaker 1: You know, and then she'll just break it down well
- 31:12Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah, because she'll call all chipper
- 31:15Speaker 1: and everything. But then I'm like, but how are you sound?
- 31:17Speaker 1: What is that in your voice? I here? You know, yeah,
- 31:21Speaker 1: so yeah, it's important, and you know it's important especially
- 31:24Speaker 1: for men too, because men we don't like you know,
- 31:30Speaker 1: like I mean, I'm a I'm in a text group
- 31:32Speaker 1: with thirteen brothers. We all went to school together, man,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and we all we always stayed close. And you know, man,
- 31:40Speaker 1: we check up on each other, like we know, some
- 31:42Speaker 1: of us are closer with the other ones than the
- 31:44Speaker 1: other ones. And some of us like, you know, boo
- 31:46Speaker 1: boo boo boo boom. So like I hear something somebody saying,
- 31:49Speaker 1: I go, hey, man, I text the other dude. Separate man,
- 31:52Speaker 1: check on kid, See how kid doing. Hey Man, call
- 31:55Speaker 1: walt Man. Makes your walk good? Hey walt Man? Call Space.
- 31:58Speaker 1: He what was happening? Because sound like he loved and
- 32:01Speaker 1: you know, and we do all that. You know, we
- 32:03Speaker 1: have a health seminars. We get on the A zoom
- 32:06Speaker 1: call man. We have like health meetings, you know, the
- 32:10Speaker 1: twelve of us, just to talk about health issues and
- 32:12Speaker 1: stuff because all of us in our sixties. Man, Like
- 32:15Speaker 1: I'm the I'm the youngest dude in the group. I'm
- 32:19Speaker 1: the youngest one in the group. Now I turned sixty
- 32:23Speaker 1: five after all of them. I'm I'm the youngest one
- 32:27Speaker 1: in the group. That's crazy, man. And you know, we
- 32:30Speaker 1: gotta check on cats, man. And I'm not I'm not
- 32:32Speaker 1: saying that would end it, but if you gotta, you
- 32:36Speaker 1: gotta check on them, man, just check on them. Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 1: that was such a sad story, man, because you know,
- 32:43Speaker 1: you look at people and you think, wow, what could
- 32:45Speaker 1: be wrong because they're gorgeous or something like that. That's
- 32:49Speaker 1: not nothing to do with it. Man, that's sad, but
- 32:52Speaker 1: it's nothing to do it. I wish that was it.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I wish you know what, I've seen very very wealthy
- 32:57Speaker 1: people commit suicide. You think, man, money, money, money fix everything.
- 33:02Speaker 1: No it don't. It don't. And so sad, sad story.
- 33:09Speaker 1: You know, people are have been calling me to get
- 33:12Speaker 1: my thoughts and comments on it, but I just said,
- 33:14Speaker 1: you know, I give my thoughts and comments on my
- 33:17Speaker 1: radio show, and I don't like trying to be the
- 33:20Speaker 1: first one when something tragic strikes, you know. And you know,
- 33:25Speaker 1: they got pictures of me at her own stage, and
- 33:27Speaker 1: they wanted to A guy called me, wanted to do
- 33:29Speaker 1: an interview and all like that. Oh, man, this is
- 33:33Speaker 1: this just happened. She got a mother, their family got
- 33:37Speaker 1: to deal with some stuff. I'm not fit to be
- 33:41Speaker 1: the spokesperson jump out front like I got the yeah, yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: I asked Steve Dog just ain't just ain't asked Steve
- 33:50Speaker 1: or the Judge show. Yeah, this is different, and so
- 33:56Speaker 1: just pray for the go ahead. Tell me what makes that?
- 34:00Speaker 1: What is it inside that makes you snapping it? Just
- 34:03Speaker 1: just end it all. I'm just I don't I don't
- 34:06Speaker 1: know the answer to happen. I don't know the answer,
- 34:11Speaker 1: but I just pray. You've got to remember that the
- 34:16Speaker 1: devil has one mission that's to rob you of your destiny.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And he's a con artist. And if he can get
- 34:24Speaker 1: you to think that it is hopeless that you have
- 34:30Speaker 1: to escape. If you if the devil can get in there,
- 34:33Speaker 1: man and plant that seed and let it take root,
- 34:37Speaker 1: you you have a problem. You have a problem. I
- 34:40Speaker 1: just prayed that other people in my life find that
- 34:44Speaker 1: the strength to just always know that this too shall
- 34:48Speaker 1: pass and to get some help. And therapy is real, man,
- 34:53Speaker 1: And therapy is really really real. It works for a
- 34:58Speaker 1: lot of people. Seriously, all right, all right, coming up
- 35:03Speaker 1: at twenty minutes, after the hour, We'll have more of
- 35:06Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 35:10Speaker 1: to show. Well, it appears that Nick Cannon is expecting
- 35:15Speaker 1: his eighth child, and it's a boy. Nick hosted a
- 35:20Speaker 1: gender revealed party with mommy to be Bree Teazy, who
- 35:24Speaker 1: just happens, just so happens to be Johnny Mansell's ex wife.
- 35:29Speaker 1: The gender revealed party took place in Malibu, Mai j Yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Football player. Um, that's that's the only one I know. Yeah,
- 35:41Speaker 1: this is her first child. It will be Nick's eighth child.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Took place in Malibu this past Saturday. Nick has ten
- 35:48Speaker 1: year old twins with Mariah Carey uh Um. Their names
- 35:52Speaker 1: are Monroe and Moroccan. He has a four year old son, Golden,
- 35:57Speaker 1: and a one year old daughter called Powerful Queen with
- 36:01Speaker 1: another ex. He also welcomed six month old twins, Zion
- 36:05Speaker 1: and Villier with another woman, Abbie d l Rosa. That
- 36:09Speaker 1: was back in June of last year. And remember in
- 36:12Speaker 1: last December he lost his seven child then to brain cancer.
- 36:16Speaker 1: So he's expecting child number eight. I got three kids.
- 36:22Speaker 1: That's enough for me. Nick listening, just call me because
- 36:27Speaker 1: I want to know what you use it. Well, let
- 36:30Speaker 1: me let me let me give you some help when
- 36:31Speaker 1: you get this advice whatever whatever he wants to share
- 36:34Speaker 1: with you, that's on him. Let me talk to you
- 36:36Speaker 1: about last week. Yeah, I was just on this show.
- 36:39Speaker 1: We had a good time. Let me just say this
- 36:41Speaker 1: to you, Janie. There is something to call child support. Yes,
- 36:47Speaker 1: and you're not gonna believe a chunk some money the
- 36:50Speaker 1: FINNI me clipping off your ass. Do you think you
- 36:54Speaker 1: think you was mad at your family members? Boy? When
- 36:59Speaker 1: the well, let me tell you something. You who but eight?
- 37:05Speaker 1: If I did you even think about that? H Oh
- 37:09Speaker 1: you need to get some thinking. Oh you show me
- 37:13Speaker 1: to get the thinking. I don't know how you didn't.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I just want to know. Oh my god, stupid, I
- 37:22Speaker 1: stupid for real even think about child Oh you can
- 37:25Speaker 1: get all these women, you have, all the babies you want.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Oh you can't get some chicks. You ain't even got
- 37:29Speaker 1: to have a good line, Junior. Just go down there
- 37:32Speaker 1: and tell just oh brother, I can get you start
- 37:35Speaker 1: if it's someone's fact what you want. The ain't I
- 37:39Speaker 1: talk to Nick. I'm right here. I can get you
- 37:42Speaker 1: started if that's what you want. But let me tell
- 37:45Speaker 1: you what come with it. I messed around. I got
- 37:49Speaker 1: seven kids. All my seven kids was out of marriage.
- 37:54Speaker 1: I've been marriage since I was twenty four years old.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I've never had a child out of where. Luck. All
- 38:01Speaker 1: the kids I had was due to marriage. Yeah, and
- 38:06Speaker 1: I didn't have none of my kid's own purpose, not one. Yeah.
- 38:17Speaker 1: All right, So congratulations once again to Nick Cannon. Coming
- 38:21Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we're gonna
- 38:23Speaker 1: talk about holding grudges and letting stuff go. We'll be
- 38:28Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 38:32Speaker 1: Morning Show. Here's a question, how long does it take
- 38:36Speaker 1: you to get over a disagreement? For example, there was
- 38:39Speaker 1: the notorious twenty eighteen clash between Cardi B and Nicki
- 38:44Speaker 1: Minaj that ended in a tussle. We all remember this,
- 38:47Speaker 1: a tussle at the New York Fashion Week party and
- 38:49Speaker 1: Cardie threw her shoe at Nikki. One month later, the
- 38:53Speaker 1: ladies called a truce on social media. When Nikki tweeted
- 38:56Speaker 1: let's focus on positive things only from here on out,
- 39:00Speaker 1: Cardie responded on Instagram with the caption, all right, then
- 39:03Speaker 1: let's keep it positive and keep it pushing. So here's
- 39:06Speaker 1: the question. Do any of you have a problem admitting
- 39:09Speaker 1: you're wrong or calling a truth? Or do you hold
- 39:12Speaker 1: a grudge for a grudge forever? I think we all
- 39:15Speaker 1: know who you who you want to address this to? Share?
- 39:20Speaker 1: Who should answer this? Who? Who should? Okay, cool question,
- 39:23Speaker 1: I'm stam A step to the side. Do you get
- 39:25Speaker 1: out to way? Yeah? We know what you this thing on? Tommy?
- 39:32Speaker 1: See right there? Do you have a problem admitting you're
- 39:37Speaker 1: wrong or calling a truth? And do you I'm wrong?
- 39:40Speaker 1: I got no problems admitting if I'm wrong at all? Wrong?

- 40:08Speaker 1: you right on several occasions, now post the question to
- 40:13Speaker 1: him now when he's right? Sure? How long do you
- 40:16Speaker 1: hold a grudge? Do you hold a grudge forever? Oh? Huh?
- 40:32Speaker 1: I like that? Right there? I like that right there?
- 40:39Speaker 1: Are you wor mad at someone? Right now? And for

- 41:15Speaker 1: the conversation can't be number Hello, master, how are you
- 41:19Speaker 1: anything else? It's that would they would have to open
- 41:23Speaker 1: a conversation with hello, master, how are you? And seeing us? How? No,
- 41:28Speaker 1: they ain't going to open it with that. It's only
- 41:30Speaker 1: cracking sight. Yeah, a doc you ain't got. But one
- 41:37Speaker 1: more wrong thing to say to me about me? There

- 42:09Speaker 1: We just quick fooling work. What about just one person?
- 42:14Speaker 1: I'm looking for a life and I know when I
- 42:16Speaker 1: see him what's gonna happen. But his name is called

- 50:36Speaker 1: you're gonna beat my ass and then drop these animals off?

- 52:42Speaker 1: you never know. It could be yours, could be yours.
- 52:44Speaker 1: It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 52:47Speaker 1: We got it for you here it is Strawberry letter
- 52:50Speaker 1: subject how far is too Far? With my man? Dear
- 52:54Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. My husband and I have been together for
- 52:57Speaker 1: two years and we've been married for six months. I'm
- 53:00Speaker 1: twenty eight and he's three years younger than I am.
- 53:03Speaker 1: I have a seven year old son from a previous relationship,
- 53:06Speaker 1: and my husband loved him to death. I started having
- 53:09Speaker 1: sex when I was in middle school, and by the
- 53:12Speaker 1: time I was a senior in high school, I was
- 53:14Speaker 1: running with a crew of girls and working as an
- 53:17Speaker 1: escort for older men's I loved sex and couldn't get
- 53:20Speaker 1: enough of it. I'm way more advanced sexually than my
- 53:24Speaker 1: husband because of past encounters with older men. After I
- 53:28Speaker 1: had my son, I stopped partying and tried to make
- 53:31Speaker 1: things work with my son's father. He soon found out
- 53:34Speaker 1: about my reputation and he dumped me. I joined a church,
- 53:39Speaker 1: and I guess you could say I got saved. I
- 53:42Speaker 1: met my new husband at church, and I played the
- 53:44Speaker 1: wholesome role the whole time we dated, and I even
- 53:47Speaker 1: abstain from having sex with him until we got married.
- 53:52Speaker 1: My problem is there's no way for me to suppress
- 53:56Speaker 1: the fire that's deep inside my soul. I loved sex
- 54:00Speaker 1: and everything about it. I've tried to ease my husband
- 54:03Speaker 1: into my world gradually, and he says, each time we
- 54:06Speaker 1: make love, it gets better and better. I was honest
- 54:11Speaker 1: about my past, well, not totally honest about the number
- 54:15Speaker 1: of men I've been with or about my bad reputation.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I told him I learned a lot from an older
- 54:21Speaker 1: man I was dating. He says he loves the kinky
- 54:24Speaker 1: things I do to him, but the other night he
- 54:27Speaker 1: got offended and asked me to stop doing what I
- 54:30Speaker 1: was doing. This is a problem for me because I
- 54:34Speaker 1: need him to match my freakiness in the bedroom and
- 54:37Speaker 1: he's reluctant to go all in with me. How far
- 54:40Speaker 1: is too far with my new husband? Please advise, Well,
- 54:45Speaker 1: too far with the other person is whatever they say
- 54:51Speaker 1: is too far. Okay, if your husband is uncomfortable and
- 54:55Speaker 1: turned off, it's time to stop. I mean, you're too
- 54:58Speaker 1: much for him right now. And whatever freaky offensive thing
- 55:01Speaker 1: you did for him to him, he is not feeling
- 55:04Speaker 1: it at all. You don't have to do or you
- 55:07Speaker 1: don't have to show him everything you've ever done in
- 55:09Speaker 1: the bedroom. We get it. You love sex, we get it,
- 55:12Speaker 1: we get it. You guys can still have fun enjoy
- 55:15Speaker 1: each other. But you've got so much experience in him,
- 55:17Speaker 1: like you said, so don't expect that he's ever going
- 55:21Speaker 1: to match your freakiness. That may never happen. I say,
- 55:25Speaker 1: take it slow. You got to really take it slow
- 55:28Speaker 1: with your husband. I mean, I know you said, you
- 55:31Speaker 1: know every time you guys make love it gets better
- 55:33Speaker 1: and better. But whatever you did he didn't like. He
- 55:36Speaker 1: didn't like that at all. I don't think you need
- 55:40Speaker 1: to do everything or show him everything, or tell him
- 55:42Speaker 1: how many men you've been within the past and all that.
- 55:45Speaker 1: You don't have to do that. You have plenty of time.
- 55:48Speaker 1: You know in this marriage. You guys are so young
- 55:51Speaker 1: to swing from the chandeliers later. But stop doing what
- 55:55Speaker 1: you're doing because because it's turning your man off, and
- 55:58Speaker 1: that's gonna be a problem in your marriage if you don't, Steve,
- 56:03Speaker 1: I don't know how to answer this letter because you
- 56:09Speaker 1: know what she did. I have some questions about what
- 56:12Speaker 1: she's doing and what she's done, and then I think
- 56:16Speaker 1: I have a solution. I'm not really sure how to
- 56:19Speaker 1: do this letter. I can't solve your problem. Let me
- 56:24Speaker 1: just start by telling you that I've read the letter.
- 56:26Speaker 1: I've heard Sherley's response. I don't really have anything for
- 56:31Speaker 1: you except one thing, and I'll probably wait till the
- 56:36Speaker 1: second half of this letter to give it to you.
- 56:38Speaker 1: But just let me tell you something. Your past has
- 56:41Speaker 1: caught up with you. You've been having sex since she
- 56:45Speaker 1: was in middle school. Now you got a three year
- 56:48Speaker 1: old son by your former guy that you were dating.
- 56:51Speaker 1: When he found out about your past, he dumped you.
- 56:54Speaker 1: You got a seven year old son that you had
- 56:57Speaker 1: from your relationship with a man before. After he found
- 57:00Speaker 1: out about your reputation and everything, he dumped you. You
- 57:06Speaker 1: try to make it work, you stop partying and stuff,
- 57:10Speaker 1: but once he found out about your reputation, he dun't
- 57:12Speaker 1: jump you. Then you joined the church, and I guess
- 57:15Speaker 1: you could say I got saved. Well, see that's a
- 57:18Speaker 1: little shaky thing to say. I guess you could say
- 57:21Speaker 1: I got saved. No, you have to tell us if
- 57:24Speaker 1: you got saved or not. If you're not saved, there's
- 57:26Speaker 1: no problem. Most people aren't. That's not a problem. You
- 57:29Speaker 1: can still be okay. But you have to tell us
- 57:33Speaker 1: that and not know. We ain't got to guess you
- 57:35Speaker 1: saved or nothing. Then you met your new husband at church,
- 57:38Speaker 1: and you played the wholesome role the whole time you dated,
- 57:41Speaker 1: and you even sustained from having sex with him until
- 57:44Speaker 1: we got married. I don't know how you marriage you,
- 57:46Speaker 1: but I don't know what y'all did or something have. Anyway,
- 57:48Speaker 1: my problem is there's no way for me to suppress
- 57:50Speaker 1: the fire that's deep in my soul. I love sex
- 57:54Speaker 1: and everything about it, you know. And then you said
- 57:58Speaker 1: I've tried to ease my husband and to my world gradually,
- 58:01Speaker 1: and he says, each time we make love it gets better.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. It's I think you
- 58:09Speaker 1: got to stop easy him into it. You're just gonna
- 58:11Speaker 1: have to go for it. But you got a problem
- 58:13Speaker 1: because you're not You've been honest about your pass but
- 58:16Speaker 1: not totally honest about the number of me and I've
- 58:18Speaker 1: been with, or about my bad reputation. I don't think
- 58:21Speaker 1: you need to bring that up. Leave that and you pass,
- 58:23Speaker 1: young lady. I told him I've learned a lot from
- 58:26Speaker 1: an older man I was dating. He says he loves
- 58:28Speaker 1: the kinky things I do to him. But the other night,
- 58:31Speaker 1: here we go with the whole letter, he got offended
- 58:33Speaker 1: and asked me to stop doing what I was doing.
- 58:36Speaker 1: That's the part of this letter we got to get to.
- 58:39Speaker 1: And this is the problem with me because I need
- 58:41Speaker 1: him to match my freakiness in the bad room, and
- 58:44Speaker 1: he's reluctant to go all in with me. How far
- 58:48Speaker 1: is too far with my new husband? Please advise when
- 58:51Speaker 1: I come back well and give you a list of
- 58:54Speaker 1: things that I think is too far. That's all I
- 58:59Speaker 1: can help you with. I don't know what you're doing,
- 59:01Speaker 1: but when we come back, I do know what too
- 59:05Speaker 1: far is. Yeah, it's whatever you say, it is, all right.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Part two of Steve's response is coming up to twenty
- 59:10Speaker 1: three minutes after today's Strawberry letter subject how far is
- 59:14Speaker 1: too Far? With my man? We'll be back right after this.
- 59:17Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 59:22Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. This is a freaky one
- 59:26Speaker 1: right here. The subject is how far is too far
- 59:28Speaker 1: with my man? Well, this girl who's twenty eight and
- 59:32Speaker 1: it's got this man that's three years younger. She's got
- 59:35Speaker 1: a seven year old son from a previous relationship, and
- 59:40Speaker 1: the husband loves the little boy. She admitted that she
- 59:44Speaker 1: started having sex when she was in middle school and
- 59:47Speaker 1: started running with a crew of girls. By the time
- 59:49Speaker 1: she was in high school, there was an escort for
- 59:51Speaker 1: older men. She said, I love sex and I couldn't
- 59:55Speaker 1: get enough of it. I'm way more advanced sexually than
- 59:57Speaker 1: my husband because of my passing honors with older men. Lord,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: have mercy. This story is getting more troublesome. Then, after
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: she had a son, she stopped parting and tried to
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: make things work with your son's father. He soon found
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: out about your reputation. He cut you loose. So after
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: that she joined the church and say she got saved,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: And she met a new husband at the church and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: played the wholesome love roll the whole time. And they
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: datedn't even up staying from having sex with him until
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: we got married, when you did something to make him
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: want to marry you. So probably he didn't go all
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: the way, but you can learned enough stuff to where
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: he wanted to marry congratulation. The problem is there's no
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: way for me to suppress the fire that's deep in
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: my soul. This woman loves sex so much, and she's
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: tried to ease her husband into my world. Sometimes you
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: need to leave your worlds behind, but now you want
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: to drag him into it. He says. Each time we
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: make love, it gets better and better, seeing that you
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: didn't need easy him into it now. But then you
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: said you're honest about your past, not totally honest with
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: the number of men you've been with. Don't ever tell
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: him that, and don't tell him about your bad reputation.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Don't tell him that. I told him I had learned
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: a lot from an older man I was dating. He says,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he loves the kinky things I do to him. Here's
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: what this letter is about. But the other night he
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: got offended and asked me to stop doing what I
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: was doing. This is a problem for me because I
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: need him to match my freakiness, which may not be possible.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: You've been with men since middle school. This boy right
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: now is three years younger than you. You twenty eight,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: he twenty five. You're taking him too fast. He asked
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: you the other night to stop doing something that you
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: was doing you. That's a problem for you because you
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: need him to match your freakiness in the bedroom and
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: he's reluctant to go all in with me. How far
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: is too far with my new husband? Please advise? This
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: is all Uncle Steve got for you. I'm going to
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: give you a short list of things that we probably
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: don't like. That's too far. Leave them tools in the
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: tool box, go outside in the garage, coming in here
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: with nothing, don't don't do that that little red box.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Lead that thing shut. That's probably gonna be too far.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: You know, there's other things I need to know. Need
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to know this right here. None of my openings is
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to be opened. Hello, I just need you to know
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: that none of my openings needs to be open. Don't
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: do that too far too, I'm just going I'm just
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: telling you what we don't need. I just you know,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: isn't something else? Stop asking me? No, I cannot lick
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: my own toes. I can't do that no more. I'm
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: sixty five. If I could be in my foot up
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: that far, it'd be a mile. Na. I can't do that.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Quick asking me, I tell you something else? This too far? Nah,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I don't want to be choked quick asking me. Don't
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: ask me to be choked, and stop asking me to
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: choke you. I don't like your ass bugging out your
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: head like that. It scare me. I don't like that.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Stop talking to me about getting choked. Please cut your
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: damn fingernails. This is too much. That's something else that,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Bobma tell you something else. I don't like. I don't
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: like quip marks. Stop doing that to me. I do
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: not like whips. Come on now, I've been in here
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: with you, but you're going too damn far. Now all
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: this hell, this is not fun. I don't like that.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Stop that hurts. I want you to stop what you're doing.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Another thing right here, Your tongue is too damn long.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I I don't know what I was going. Took me
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: how long say this to you? But your tongue is
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: too Yes, it is that this goes back to some
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: things I said earlier. But your tongue is too damn long.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: And now I can't walk in your stilettos. Stop strapping
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: them on my feet. I broke two pad heels. Stop
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: asking me that I am going to tell you that.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Listen to me. I'm just gonna tell you this. Listen
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: to me, faby, not when you're going too far. My
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: fist is just for fighting, That's all this fault. My fist.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: My fist is just for fight. Okay what I all
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: these things up and the fir hands Jesus just for fight.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: We get it, and I want one last thing for you.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Go come on, damn it quick brighting me everywhere. I
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: don't like all that. Not everywhere. You can leave in

- 1:05:47Speaker 1: What you got Junior, oh Sureley over the weekend. Time
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to tell you right now, two quarterbacks were tired from
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: the nfail. Let me tell you, Tom Brady, hang it
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: up Man twenty two seasons seven Super Bowl. But I'm
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: glad it is Houston. We are rejoicing because the reason
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: why we couldn't win because Tom Brady centers on every
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: single year We've never beat him in the playoff. We're
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: so glad his ass and hung up. I'm not even
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: you're trying to blame. Yes, yes, I'm Brady. Yes, yes,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: yes i am. That's why. Yes. What was the Texans
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: football record this year? Let's not talking about we are
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: talking about that. We just talked about the No, No,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I'm I'm talking about junior. Yeah, what was the record
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: this year? Right here? Just tell it to thirteen and thirteen?
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: How many times did they play Tampa Bay? Oh, we
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: didn't play this team I'm talking about in the past. Oh,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: y'all didn't play Tom Brady this season? No, and y'all
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: was four and thirteen? Yeah, well, good thing. Y'all didn't
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: players ass this year. Let me say at the second
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: go ahead. Ben Roethlisberger also retired. He did hug it up.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: And I know you don't feel nothing, you don't care
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: nothing about being Roethlisberger c You know, man, he had
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: a great career, but he was with Pittsburgh. I hate
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: everything about Pittsburgh except mean Joe Green and Jack Lambert,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Lyon Swan and Mike Tomlin. Okay, and this explained this
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: about this whole rivalry y'all be having. But see Cleveland,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: when they heard the news being Roethlisberger was hanging up
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: this Cleis, they put this in the newspaper. This was
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the headline. Long time Stiller's quarterback Ben Roethlisberger retires winless
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: against the Browns in the playoffs. That was the headline.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: See we're gonna say goodbye. Yeah, the great quarterback all
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: this hill. Winless against the Cleveland Browns in the playoffs. Winless,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: now bye. I appreciate you having a nice ass career,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: but you remember last year. Don't don't you go week?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Damn show. Don't do with your monk assent better much? Hey,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: listen to me, man, We Cleveland people, Yeah, got no time.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: We don't do political correctness, damn show. Not fit to
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: do sportsmanship, No time for that, man. We ain't one
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: since nineteen sixty. Folk, here as we find to be
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: spokesman about. Now all right, junior, thank you. Coming up
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, we're gonna talk about
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: closure and why some men and women leave relationships without
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: an explanation. All right, Oh you want to miss that
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show? All right? So, Steve,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I saw this video on social media media recently of
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: a man who was honest about why he ditched women
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: without any explanation, any closure. I know you say men
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: don't do closure, but he said that the woman he
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: ghosted was either too much for him at the time
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: and that meant to him that he didn't measure up
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: to her. So he was trying to explain and put
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: a button on why you know he did what he
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: did in the past or was he looking for the
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: past of the path of least resistance here? No, I
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: think women have to understand something, you know, Like I've
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: always told them, I said, you know a lot of
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: times when a man break up with you, a woman
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: immediately goes to or what's wrong with me? That's not
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: always the case. A matter of fact, the majority of cases,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: it's not anything to do with you. It's something wrong
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: with the men. It's just to just brother online admitted
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: that it was him that he couldn't measure up, that
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: he wasn't ready, that he wasn't the man for the job.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: And that oftentimes is the case, and the reason men
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: don't give you closure, it's because most men are not
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: going to admit that, and no, don't know. Man want
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: to come to you and go, you know, look, I
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: just I just ain't man enough for you. You too much.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Some men will do it, but a lot of men
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: have broken up with women and just went, hey, look
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: it ain't you, it's me, and then that's it. Yeah,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: but it means what this brother was saying, you were
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: too much for me. You had some requirements. I couldn't
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: live up to your your standards were too high. I'm
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: not enough man for the woman you are. I can't
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: feel the job application requirements out matter. I'm not ready
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: for that. I want a woman who's less than you.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I need somebody who's just less because you just too
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: much now. And then they go on and they find
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: women who are less and try to have relationship with them,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: and women get mad because how can he just move
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: on and starting a relationship. Maybe he found less, Maybe
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: he you know, stop blaming yourself wrong, Stop blaming yourself.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: It's your life. Because a lot of women something I
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: don't care about closure, you know, they just move on
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: and let you figure it out on your arm. And
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: that's usually the case, because I wrote a chapter. Men
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: don't do closure because normally we don't. And Tommy's exactly right.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: The majority of time we just walk, We don't know
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: you nothing. You work through it out and then the
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: most a lot of men ain't gonna admit to their shortcomings.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: And then me and we don't feel like it's our application.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: I mean, and in truth, what happened to us was
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: we didn't work. Now we ain't got to get a
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: seat now standing here and calling you back to explain
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: why you know what that's gonna lead into. Yeah, at
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: that moment when you decide not to do closure and
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: move on? What is going through your what's going through
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: the man mind of a man? What'sn't that? Who? Who
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: wasn't that? Yeah? Who behind you? I'm looking. Yeah, it's over.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: So there's no guilt, there's no remorse. No what I
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: got well, I got to be killed. I'm are. We're
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: getting out of something that ain't working for me and you.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I'm doing you a favor. I'm getting out of here
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: now because this ain't working. You may think it's working,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: but all this is arguing and all this what I
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: ain't what you don't do? And where was you? And
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: all this here? No no, no, no no, So you
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: ain't got to question me no more, and I ain't
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: got to answer the question. I'm out right free yourself
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: from having to wonder why I'm at any more? Good. Look,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: And that's really how a man looks at it. And
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: that's a clean way to get out, because if it's over,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: it's over. The why to high come? What happened? Why not?
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: We ain't got We'm really look, it's over. No matter
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: what I say, you're not gonna like the answer. So
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: how about just no answer? And that's usually how me
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: and look at that too. Don't we already know why
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: we're leaving? Yeah, of course we know. Okay, let me
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: ask you this. Did you know when you met the woman?
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Did you know already know that she was too much
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: for you? Or she was above your pay grade? Or
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you know the signs don't show up till later. Yeah,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: and then and then you got to understand, y'all find
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: this clouds out right? Say that? All right, Wow, this
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: is good. This is good, guys. We'll have more of
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So Steve, before we left,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: we were talking about men and they don't do closure.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: They just move on. And a lot of times it
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: is them, or most times it is them and not
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: the woman. Did you want to add anything to that?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: You were saying you already knew when you met the woman. Perhaps,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: well it was too much for you when we meet
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: a woman. I don't want to say game because it
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: isn't every man that meets you not playing a game,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: but game on. We now have to see what it's
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: gonna take to win you over. Now, if it's a lot,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: we'll pretend to have a lot, but we can't sustain
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the pretense, the pretension. We just can't sustain it. And
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: you know, like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I got myself together.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: I'm holding I'm strong, I'm dedicated, I'm working. And then
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: when she keeps that pressure up, this is what I'm
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: looking for. This is what when did you or are
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: you still looking for a job? Did you still how's
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: the job hunt going? How's the business going? And they're
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: gonna cause they're gonna because women gonna ask you because
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: women want to feel safe, and that's an important thing
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: for a woman. She wants to feel safe, and so
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: in you coming alonger than her life, where's the security
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: in this relationship? So it's not that she's a gold
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: digger or nothing like that. She just wants to feel safe. Now,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: we've created the term gold digger to keep you out
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: of our pockets and keep you from talking about that money.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: And women are stupid from falling into that trip, let
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: me tell you, because you want to feel safe. And

- 1:16:55Speaker 1: All right, here we go. Would you rather have a
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: full time butler for life or one hall pass a
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: month for life? I already no, I ain't gonna get that.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Gonna have to hate this butler. That's what I'm gonna
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: have to do for life, not for the confessed, and
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: won't the hall pass ain't yet on this radio show
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: with that? Have you learned nothing on the show, Junior? Yeah,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: learned that I'm gonna go with the butler. You're gonna
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: have a full time butler for life. Okay, Well, I
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: passed up the hall pass. You got hold hold. Let
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: me ask you a question, though, Do she know about
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: the hall pass? Huh? We know know about the hall pass.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: That's the whole concept of the hall pad that you
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: give the mask. Thank you? Oh no, no, I'm not
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: not not hell no, hell, I'm not gonna hear that
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: every month. It's gonna, it's gonna that's who it's gonna. Yeah,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: it's the fifteenth who you're picking now her? All right,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: here's the last one, last one. Would you, guys, rather
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: tell the truth for thirty days, tell the complete truth,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: no lies thirty days, or wear a lace front wig
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: for thirty days call me ki looking like Rue Paul front.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: All right, coming up our last break of the day
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from the one in the Yeah
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: you're listening to the show, All right, guys, here we
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: are our last break of the day. This is it
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: a good day? A good day. Yeah, I've enjoyed it.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: What about you, guys? Yeah? Yeah, Oh, Judge Steve, Hello, yeah,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: tonight again, appreciate the support and love everybody watching George
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Steve on ABC eight pm Eastern, seventh Central, or you
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: can stream it live on Hulu TV. Steve, that show
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: is turning out, you know, Hulu, just more than I
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: even thought it would be. I mean, it's so good,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: it's so compelling, it's so funny, it has all the
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: elements in it comedy, you know. I mean, it's heartfelt,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you do good. It's just a great show, it really is.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you. I'm so sorry. It's such
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: a blessing, man, because you know what makes this show
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: such a blessing is behind the scenes things. You know,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I did a few weeks ago, my favorite couple of
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: weeks ago, my favorite clothing remarkables to my haters, but
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: in particular, you know, I've been in television a long time, man,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I really have. I've grown a fan base in television.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: That's really when I look at my career, it's not
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: a lot of people can say they've had the longevity
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: and the success that I have. I'm not the biggest
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: person ever in television, not by a long shot, but
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: when it comes to being able to have a presence
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: on TV and in so many different ways and formats,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: I've been really blessed man and graced by God to
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: probably cover more types of shows than anybody. And one
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: of the blessings behind the Judge Show was was the
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: failure of two other shows. And it wasn't that the
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: shows failed. The numbers were good. Little Big Shots was
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: a hit, My talk show was doing well. Nothing was
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: wrong with it. Dude, they have bad numbers? Are nothing.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Somebody in the higher ups made a decision, and the
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: decision was not only am I going to cancel this show,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna get rid of his TV career. That decision
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: was made and I got winned about it. And I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: remember one time somebody asking me to fly to New
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: York and just have a meeting to talk to them
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: about staying on the air and saving the show and
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: make some promises. And I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: do it, and I just stood fast. And the thing
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I've learned I was telling the crew earlier, I was
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: listening to something online and I saw some actors gathering.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: One of them was Jamie Fox and a couple of
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: other people, and one of them was Tom Hanks. And
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Tom Hanks said something. That question was something to the
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: effect of, if you could tell your twenty year old
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: self something that you wish you known, what would you
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: tell yourself? And Tom Hanks said, this tool shall pass.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: And I sat down and I thought about that. Man,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: do you know how important of a message that is
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: to get through your head? This tool shall pass. No,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I mean, man, Look, even when you're on top of
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the mountain, this two shall pass. You ain't gonna stay
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: up there. Even if you gotta hit show, it ain't.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: It can't stay on TV forever. And this tool shall pass.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: If you're in the bottom of the valley and you'd
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: fail so low that it seems hopeless for you, this
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: tool shall pass. All of it. The fatigue you feel,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: this tool shall pass. The lack of understanding you're getting
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: from yourself and people, This too shall pass. So all
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: the moments in my life. Tom Hanks said, this too
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: shall pass. It passes. And when they got rid of
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: those two shows, I was in the process of learning
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: through experience of my life that everything that happens to
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: me has happened in the order that God wanted to,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: whether I agreed with it or not, whether I understood
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: the process or not I did. I finally came to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: the realization that everything God allows to happen to me
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: is in preparation for something. I asked for. The cancelation
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: of the Steve Talk Show and the cancelation of Little
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Big Shots all at once, And if you look at
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: those numbers, those shows were doing wonderful. That decision came
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: from somebody who was on a mission to get rid
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: of me, that's all. It was pure and simple. And
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: I don't say their names. I ain't got to say nothing.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: It's cool you did what you did, but this too
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: shall passed. But little did I know that was all
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: in preparation to clear the path hathway for me to
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: accomplish some other things. So little did I know. Now
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I had the time to go to Africa and do
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: family Feud and put on two seasons of the number
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: one show on the continent. Little did I know that
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I now had a little bit more time to travel
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: the world and increase my global brand and persona. I
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: didn't know that's what God was doing, but he was
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: clearing the way from me. And then lastly, next thing,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: you know, and I did that I had created twelve
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: years ago, mentioned it in a pitch meeting, and ABC said,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: we want that show. I created the show, I owned
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: the show. I'm the executive producer of the show, and
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I'm the star of the show. And that's the new
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Judge t Show. And guess what. Had I still been
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: doing what I was doing, I would not be in
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: this position today. This too shall pass. That's the grace
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: of God Almighty. And you see me not taking no
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: credit for this, because I didn't set this one up.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: He set this one up. See y'all to malle. For
