- 0:02Last time on no latency. Take out my aerobic chuckle.
- 0:07Rominga Support Services How can I help you today?
- 0:09You realized. Yes.
- 0:11Did you find something? Well.
- 0:12Did you say he shot himself? They just have like trained
- 0:14crocodiles that come and take the bodies.
- 0:16You don't have to train animals if you're feeding them is the.
- 0:19Screen supposed to flash. OK, so send it to VV.
- 0:22OK, I got it. They're using people.
- 0:25Oh, Van Dale, I think. I like batteries.
- 0:27The lipstick, they're stacking people.
- 0:30I don't quite like those lockers.
- 0:32Stacking 200 at a time. I'm going to sit in the corner
- 0:35and think about my. Mortal in towers like Spires.
- 0:39I think these pods are full of people vendale.
- 0:41Probably little metal octopuses that jump between them.
- 0:44Vendale you. That's where we sent Jeb and
- 0:47Vendale. You seeing this?
- 1:00No, Jeb, it's not. They're using the people as a
- 1:03battery. They're what?
- 1:05They're using the people as a bet.
- 1:07What? Was that Jeb?
- 1:08Roll Perception. Vendel Also roll Perception
- 1:121316. That beats.
- 1:15Oh, just so just you both hear a scratching both you and Vendel.
- 1:20While Vendel is screaming at you in this room, it echoes through
- 1:24the room and drones start to appear on the South part of the
- 1:30room. Lots of them.
- 1:31At least seven drones have already appeared, and it feels
- 1:35like there are more of them. You can hear them clicking up
- 1:38through these stacks of pods because below you, just between
- 1:43each of the pods, you can see a grate, and between that grate
- 1:45you can see even more of these parts all the way down at least
- 1:50200 A stack. What are you going to do, Jeff?
- 1:52Van Dale What I think we. Should prop.
- 1:57Ron. OK, stealth might be useless.
- 2:00I run out and I shut the door behind.
- 2:02Us Vendel is the other end of the room and is running towards
- 2:06you. As you hold the door, the drones
- 2:08click and scrape their way towards the northern part of the
- 2:12room towards you and Vendel. And you are watching Vendel
- 2:16being chased by these things. Vendel roll evasion.
- 2:21Here we go, 16 Yes, good enough. A dart flies a past Vendel's
- 2:26head and goes through the doorway, past you, Jeb, and into
- 2:30a crate behind you. Oh.
- 2:32Goodness, Oh no. More of the drones appear behind
- 2:35you. They are cascading out of the
- 2:38pods and headed like a swarm towards you.
- 2:41Then they'll get to the doorway. Roll evasion once more.
- 2:45No, not me. Evasion 16 Then they'll jumps
- 2:49through the door and slams on the lock button on the security
- 2:53panel and it closes and locks behind you.
- 2:55You hear scraping and and skittling of drones behind the
- 3:00door as you've narrowly escaped even more danger.
- 3:06Oh God. Call our friends.
- 3:10You got to come down here. Yeah.
- 3:12Or we should just leave. I mean, there's that, too.
- 3:15Iona. Iona.
- 3:16What? What is it?
- 3:19It's. People.
- 3:21It's people. I know.
- 3:24What? What do you mean tell you what
- 3:26it was, What people are? I know it's people we found.
- 3:31We found out the chip you sent us told you told us it was
- 3:34people. Why do you tell us?
- 3:37Yeah, we would. We didn't want to worry you.
- 3:41Oh, well, I guess it's kind of nice, but will you put us in
- 3:44danger a little bit? Yeah, we found the people.
- 3:48Oh, that is probably very disturbing.
- 3:50I'm sorry. And and it's a good thing that
- 3:53you have a good therapist. Yes, we knew it would.
- 3:55We knew you'd find them. We found we found 72,000 people
- 3:59set up like a giant battery. There is no thermal.
- 4:02It's all a lie. It's oh, oh, is that right?
- 4:05Oh, I thought. That's what Jeb.
- 4:06That's what we just found. That's why I was panicking.
- 4:09You saw that the with the humans in the thing and they're all uh
- 4:12huh. So This is why all of those.
- 4:15Bodies, the ones that were complete and used, and battery
- 4:18drains, completely emaciated. That's them when they're done
- 4:22being used. Yes, so.
- 4:26And then and then. Well then.
- 4:29I don't know what they do, but they got to get rid of them
- 4:31somehow. Maybe they sleep.
- 4:32Them. Into the.
- 4:34Ocean oh giant. Alligator eats them.
- 4:37Oh, John, you you met a giant alligator.
- 4:39Yeah, we fought that guy. Yeah, Well, yeah, Well, that's a
- 4:42strong words. More of a tactical retreat, yes,
- 4:45if you ask me, but. Talking of tactical retreat,
- 4:48Jeb, I don't want to be here anymore.
- 4:51Fuck the exam. I agree.
- 4:53Where are you guys? Can we come there?
- 4:56Can we just step in the elevator with you?
- 4:57I don't like Proctor. Can I be?
- 5:00I don't like it here anymore. Get out.
- 5:02There get. Back in the elevator, Come back.
- 5:04Up. OK, great.
- 5:05Here, Jeff. Let's go through here.
- 5:07Let's not go in any other direction.
- 5:09We're just going to go through the security office, through
- 5:12that vent, past that dead guy and the other dead guy, and just
- 5:15get the fuck out of here, right? Yo, yeah, I'm.
- 5:18I'm right behind you. OK, that's not the way, Jeb.
- 5:22It's this way. Oh, oh, thank you, That's why I
- 5:26said. I'm behind you.
- 5:29And Jeb and Vendel make their way through the floor towards
- 5:34the elevator. Now you are in an elevator
- 5:38heading down to B. You can choose to change the
- 5:43direction of that elevator and head back up to get Jeb, or open
- 5:47up the elevator for them to come down later.
- 5:51Should we just ride it back up, make sure they're OK?
- 5:54Yeah. I greet them at the top.
- 5:56I agree. Well, I appreciate that.
- 5:59It's not that I've necessarily heard to say that, but you know,
- 6:02maybe you just hang up. You hear the thermal elevator
- 6:08engage as you come up back to storage and security, and you
- 6:14hear the dinging. They're going to be here in a
- 6:16few moments. We're we're in the metro.
- 6:22We're. We're.
- 6:23We're not. There yet?
- 6:27So yeah, if you want, I can play waiting music.
- 6:32I can play waiting. I can sing it.
- 6:34I can. See it as the music is amplified
- 6:40by the microphone you have attached to your boom box.
- 6:43Then Dell and Jem step out of the elevator if it opens.
- 6:46Are you alright? Yeah.
- 6:48Is it good to see you guys? Oh yeah.
- 6:50Yeah, it's good we're all back. Jeb, why are you all wet?
- 6:55It's a long story. I'm not sure you want to hear
- 6:58it, to be honest. So you're standing outside of
- 7:01the B access elevator. OK, let's head down.
- 7:05Another elevator. Oh fuck.
- 7:07All right. I know.
- 7:08Can I? Just real quick, Jeb raises his
- 7:10hand. Yes.
- 7:13Oh, what exactly is the plan right now?
- 7:16Because I was kind of under the impression that the entire well
- 7:20planned of this facility was to destroy it and or blow it up in
- 7:27some capacity. Oh, let me.
- 7:31Look through my notes. There's a cat on my lap.
- 7:34Hold on. Oh my God, you brought a cat.
- 7:40It's my it's my comfort animal. Emotional support.
- 7:44Animal company issue, I'll major.
- 7:46It's also a hologram look. Oh, right, cool.
- 7:50Cats aren't real. No cats are real.
- 7:52We saved one once, although. Cats are real, but not very
- 7:56many. No, no.
- 7:58No. We met Mr. Carrigan's cat,
- 8:00remember? That was fun.
- 8:01We did meet the Carrigan Cat. Oh, Carrigino.
- 8:08I do think yes, we were supposed to destroy this place, but does
- 8:12that seem morally and ethically sound now that we know there's
- 8:16like thousands of people in here?
- 8:18Well, can they be safe? That's kind of a big if.
- 8:22Yeah, I don't know. Maybe.
- 8:24I'm looking at UVV. I can't.
- 8:26I can't. I'm not a doctor.
- 8:30I mean, am I supposed to have the the answers of if we should
- 8:34be able to stop people from being human?
- 8:36Batteries. I I don't.
- 8:38Well, one way to stop people from being human batteries is to
- 8:41destroy the battery. And I like that's a lot of
- 8:44people. And it's just five of us.
- 8:46But they kind of seem like they're real close to dead
- 8:49already. You know what I'm saying?
- 8:51Now again, if they're if they're able to be safe, then do not get
- 8:55me wrong, today is certainly the raft thing to do.
- 8:58A trolley problem kind of situation where we don't know,
- 9:01like if we should save them or just let them die.
- 9:04Or just like I I don't know. I'm not philosophically equipped
- 9:09to answer these questions. We we do need like some of their
- 9:14tech though. We do.
- 9:16This is where they make the body frames.
- 9:19I was just reading, oh, no, yeah, that's OK.
- 9:22You know, more than I do. I had to go back and read the
- 9:25documents that I have. Yeah, so I think right now the
- 9:33plan is to like we found like the entrance to like the R&D
- 9:37facility. So maybe we can get some answers
- 9:40or info on like how they were created.
- 9:43Maybe there is some info on how we can power it down or
- 9:46something rather than blowing it up and keep potentially killing
- 9:50thousands of people. That's my thought.
- 9:53And. If they're worth saving
- 9:56something too, right? Has it occurred to anyone that
- 10:00we're in a Biotechnica facility and there has not been a
- 10:06custodian? Well, I did think that it got,
- 10:09it was a little dirty down there by, you know, I imagined that
- 10:13that the custodian died along with all the other people.
- 10:16I mean I mean like 9 on the list or 7. 01 of the circle box.
- 10:23One of the circle box, yes, we just, I haven't seen one.
- 10:29I suppose it is a large facility, but usually they can
- 10:32transfer from space to space. Yes, they're quite small.
- 10:37I mean, that one of those would fit through a vent.
- 10:39If we had nine right now, could scoot around.
- 10:42Not that I'd bring nine with us. That's a terrible idea.
- 10:44We should. That's an awful idea.
- 10:45Terrible. Hand of that guy we know.
- 10:48What happens when you take him outside?
- 10:50So using my motorcycle. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 10:55It's not great. Do do we have an AI core when we
- 11:00do the? Is there a CAD system here?
- 11:04That's a very good question. A what?
- 11:09A CAD system. CAD.
- 11:12Yes, the thing that makes the makes the note CADS makes the
- 11:16whole facility. Implode.
- 11:18Compress and yes, implode. What?
- 11:24You've done that before. Twice.
- 11:26Pretty much. Preferred method.
- 11:28Of solving any problem. Imploding buildings.
- 11:32Facilities. Yeah.
- 11:35Jinx Vendo to be. Fair.
- 11:37I think. I think the the morality problem
- 11:40for us is much more Gray. I mean, I think we're on the
- 11:45scoreboard right now for. Are we back to the morality
- 11:48thing? Yes.
- 11:50I mean we've we've destroyed 4 buildings of people so far.
- 11:54With people inside. No, no, no, that's not true.
- 11:57They. Were bad people.
- 11:58If there were any people left, they were pretty bad, you know?
- 12:02Like, 'cause they're always like there was the there was the
- 12:05place under into the junkyard. There was nobody in there.
- 12:08Oh, well, there were there was spiders in man.
- 12:11I mean. Abominations.
- 12:12And there was There was Retros old.
- 12:14There was retros old. Landlord Trevor.
- 12:16Trevor. Oh, the man we still on fire, is
- 12:19he? Still on fire?
- 12:20No. No, you had.
- 12:21Sona cut his head off. Oh.
- 12:24Yeah, Donald cut their head off. Those were the days.
- 12:29OK. Well, the other facility, what
- 12:31was the other one? Well, there was a Steve mansion.
- 12:35We didn't that didn't have a custodian.
- 12:37And we didn't blow up the Steve mansion.
- 12:39Do you need the custodian to, like, initiate this cad's
- 12:43implosion? No, not necessarily.
- 12:47Oh. Oh, you don't?
- 12:48Oh, good. Well.
- 12:51I don't know usually. Usually what we do is we have to
- 12:55get a bypass through the AI system or or or what is it Sisi?
- 13:02Well, I mean, we tell, we tell people it's an SI, but I I have
- 13:05a feeling that that custodians are very much AI.
- 13:08No, they definitely are. I just wanted to say the correct
- 13:10thing. But we have to bypass the AI
- 13:15core. But it's there's no AI core if
- 13:19there's no AI. If they're then, then we can do
- 13:22it for free. Here's another thing.
- 13:26If there is a CAD system, where is it located and how do we get
- 13:30out? How?
- 13:32How old are CAD systems? Are they?
- 13:34You know, maybe this was made before CAD systems were company
- 13:38policy. Not according to the documents
- 13:40we found. Oh, all right.
- 13:41Well, never mind. That system is usually in the
- 13:44very base of the of the facility.
- 13:46I mean, to be fair, most of the time when we find or are able to
- 13:51get a hold of the CAD system, it's usually at the bottom of
- 13:55the facility. Yeah.
- 13:59And we're usually getting pestered by the Guardians, who
- 14:03to me are not so much AI but more of like STD's.
- 14:08What? What?
- 14:09Huh. That's such an antiquated term.
- 14:14No, it's not studious, terminating detrimental
- 14:18identities. STDs What?
- 14:21I'm very confused. I am also very confused by that.
- 14:25I'm sorry that you all have not caught up to the latest tech
- 14:28lingo, but we'll get you there. Fair enough.
- 14:31I only know the medical in lingo and that is very close to
- 14:37something else. Close to what?
- 14:39What else would there be? We don't have to get.
- 14:42Into it. The elevator is open.
- 14:45Oh, we should probably get in the elevator.
- 14:48Let's to our. Elevator.
- 14:50We're in it now, OK? Let's go back up again.
- 14:55Just ride it over and over again.
- 14:58The elevator opens to a corridor, and as you enter this
- 15:04corridor in front of you is just a big wall.
- 15:07On your left is a door labeled Research Office and your right
- 15:11is an opening to a corridor that goes West and east.
- 15:15And a bunch of vendits. Oh look, some vending machines.
- 15:18You know what that means? Screw the vendits, I'm going in
- 15:21the lab. Well, I do.
- 15:23PV As you step up to the vending machine, it's empty.
- 15:27Everything's gone. Oh.
- 15:28No. No, it's.
- 15:32All right, Chuck, Why I? Thought maybe I'd get myself a
- 15:37snap. That's well, you should have got
- 15:39it on one of the higher levels where there were Ginger Gisler.
- 15:44Gisler what I would do. My cue for some Gisler snaps.
- 15:51You should have got some from the upper levels.
- 15:53There were Gisner snaps in every Vendent.
- 15:55Every what? Almost.
- 15:58Is there anything in that vending machine for me?
- 16:00No, they're all empty. They're all they're what?
- 16:04Yeah, they're they're completely empty.
- 16:07Huh. Were you expecting something?
- 16:10Well, I mean, vending machines aren't usually empty.
- 16:14Yeah, and all of the other levels had stuff in them.
- 16:18And there's a lot down here I don't know.
- 16:20To be fair, you know, vending machines aren't usually empty.
- 16:25It is kind of like saying power plants usually are staffed with
- 16:29people. Yes, also now, now it's like I
- 16:33now understand why it's cold. I expect it to be warm near a
- 16:36thermal vent, but obviously what you doing retro?
- 16:39I'm trying to get in this door. I I thought I made it through at
- 16:42one point and now I got suddenly booted out.
- 16:45We but I mean, it's locked. There's computer and everything.
- 16:48One locked a second ago. It's weird that this lock
- 16:55magically appeared on the door. I know.
- 16:57I just keep throwing myself at the door, hoping it'll open.
- 17:00Oh, here. Metro next to the door you find
- 17:03a little console and on the console it says lockdown.
- 17:06I type in by whose authority? It gives you an error Iona do
- 17:10you type your little code? Sure do 4774.
- 17:15You know your little code, you little your little 4. 474774
- 17:19code. There's an error on screen and
- 17:24it says. Custodian code denied.
- 17:26Wait. You're the custodian the whole
- 17:28time, iota. Oh no.
- 17:34Wait, you're the janitor? They've got an AI in them.
- 17:37Wait, what? Wait no, doesn't make any sense.
- 17:40What? No, I don't.
- 17:41Oh, but the drone has popped out of everybody's head.
- 17:46Did you? Put drones in US, is there going
- 17:49to drone that's going to come out of me now?
- 17:52Maybe. No.
- 17:54Vandal I'm having fun. You're evil.
- 17:57Oh, I see. Oh, I was worried.
- 17:59No, I didn't put drones in your head.
- 18:01If that doesn't make any sense, I don't work down here.
- 18:04It just said your custodian code did not work.
- 18:08We were just talking about who the custodian is and you've been
- 18:12able to open up every single thing around here.
- 18:15So you tell me, is there a little Roly Poly somewhere
- 18:20rolling around in there? I type in 7447.
- 18:25There's another error. Shoot.
- 18:27OK, I shoot it. Don't do that.
- 18:31Oh, you said it. Roll for it.
- 18:33I mean, I'm just, I'm just following boss's orders.
- 18:36So what, boss? Where'd he go?
- 18:38This may be the one of the few times when he actually listens
- 18:41to Iona. 1917 damage yes it explodes through the the machine
- 18:49and with your crit success on damage the door opens like
- 18:54opens. It doesn't unlock.
- 18:55It flies open, and then before you in this room is a huge blood
- 19:01stain and a dead body near an exit to the southwest.
- 19:06And there's a cleaning drone frantically trying to get rid of
- 19:08the blood. Shoot, shoot the drone since
- 19:11you're trigger happy. Your favorite multiverse hopping

- 20:22Fine. God, Salt blood.
- 20:26Oh, and you pull the trigger on your shotgun fires and hits this
- 20:30drone. Shotgun.
- 20:32Oh, what's that? It's my assault rifle.
- 20:37Oh, well, sorry. I apologize.
- 20:39There is a difference between my K Tech Tech hammer and my
- 20:42assault rifle. My assault rifle XCOM dash 52.
- 20:46Which by the way, now after blowing a hole in that door, I'm
- 20:50renaming to skeleton key. Thank you very much.
- 20:54It's a pretty good name for gun. Retro fires a hail of bullets at
- 20:58this drone and it stops trying to clean the ground takes a lot
- 21:04of damage. Is still up.
- 21:05Not well going to be honest. It's not having a good time
- 21:09below half hell. Oh, that's that's not bad,
- 21:12that's amazing. One of its legs breaks, but
- 21:16since it has more than one, it still manages to make its way
- 21:20towards you. Losing a little movement, it
- 21:22moves towards you. No, that bad drone.
- 21:26Iona, are you going to attack this drone?
- 21:29No, I'm chastising it. All right.
- 21:34You're all persuasion. Face down right now.
- 21:36Yeah, sure. Am I doing persuasion or a face
- 21:42down? You should do a face down call
- 21:44plus reputation, plus one D10 on a cleaning drone.
- 21:48It's likely this has never happened before, ever, in the
- 21:51history of Sun. Yeah.
- 21:54We have fun here. We have fun here.
- 21:56Super cool. So 16. 17.
- 22:00Oh, it's 17. That drone rolled 12, which is
- 22:03pretty good for a drone, let's be honest.
- 22:05But all the same, it rears back in fear of you.
- 22:08That bad drone. Giving someone else the
- 22:11opportunity to take it out. I got it.
- 22:14Jeb pokes his head around the corner, points his gun at it,
- 22:17and pulls the trigger, causing 14 damage.
- 22:19It splits into a bunch of pieces, which cascade across the
- 22:22floor. Oh.
- 22:22My gosh. Yeah, I'm getting really sick
- 22:25and tired of these little guys. Me too.
- 22:27You got any, I mean, like it's got these guys.
- 22:30In my experience, all these guys are kind of, you know, usually
- 22:35hooked up to one kind of central computer or something.
- 22:38You think we got to find something out that and take it
- 22:41out? Well, now you've cursed us with
- 22:44that job. Thank you.
- 22:45An AI core that we're looking for, right?
- 22:47Oh, you know that that makes lost sense.
- 22:50It could be kind of wrapped up into one big thing here.
- 22:54Well, it's possible that there isn't an AI core if I'm the
- 22:57custodian. What?
- 22:59Wait, do you really think you're the custodian?
- 23:01We don't think that you just put in the number.
- 23:04I I just thought you were the sleeper.
- 23:06Do you have loads of titles? Do I need to do that to get
- 23:08better in business? Wait.
- 23:09A minute? What the fucks, the sleeper?
- 23:11Nothing. So you could be the custodian?
- 23:14I very well could be. How do we?
- 23:17Is there a way for us to? I don't.
- 23:19Check now. I'm actually in the What now?
- 23:20Now I don't believe it. There might be more records of
- 23:24employment somewhere. Hey, let's why don't we check
- 23:30that file that we decrypted? Maybe there's something in
- 23:32there? Sure.
- 23:34The audio file. No, the file with 72,000 people
- 23:38in it. Oh yeah, I guess you could cross
- 23:41reference names. Did you search for our names
- 23:44when you were control F thing to?
- 23:46Be honest, I didn't. I was just kind of looking for
- 23:48my favorites, like. I don't need to know your
- 23:51favourites for me, Well, I. Mean I was looking for Reeves.
- 23:56I, I I was looking for Shibari. Steve, Who else was looking for
- 24:03my professor? Go home.
- 24:06Well, you could like a a great story retro, but you could just
- 24:09check our names now. I I am, I'm I'm I'm doing.
- 24:13I'm doing a search. Oh, look at that 34 + 6 crit.
- 24:16Yes, you do not find any of those names.
- 24:20None of the crew are listed. What you do find as part of
- 24:23looking at the list, is that all of these 72,000 names were sent
- 24:29to Thermal. Interesting.
- 24:32So we essentially, but essentially we well, not we the
- 24:37Proctor had sent Jeb and Vendale to become batteries.
- 24:43Yeah. Is there like a quota?
- 24:44Is there like a quota that they need to have to keep power
- 24:48consistently going? Oh, it's probably right.
- 24:50I assume so. I can can I calculate on how
- 24:53long the bodies last until they're just dredged?
- 24:57Yeah, 98%, yes. That's where they were at.
- 25:00That's what the battery said, 98%.
- 25:01But when do what happened? Like how long does it take to go
- 25:03from 98% to 2%? I I We weren't there long enough
- 25:08to find out. We got chased by drones.
- 25:09It was really scary. I'm gonna guess 20 days. 20
- 25:15days, huh? That's way too short.
- 25:16Yeah, if. I'm just making a gamble well.
- 25:20If you. Take the average lifespan and
- 25:22then how long it goes by. If it just ended up sleeping the
- 25:25whole time, 7%, They're just trapped in these pods now.
- 25:28Are they shoving nutrients inside them And you got to use
- 25:30that to keep it going as well as water and then you got to give
- 25:33them a little bit of, you know, sunny D So then that way they
- 25:37keep that vitamin deficiency down South.
- 25:39Retro No one's been down here for three months, so they're
- 25:42either not using power or they worked out a way to make this
- 25:44last a really long time. I think 7 to 2000 is probably a
- 25:49really long time. Yes, I would agree.
- 25:53Yeah, I tried to carry. Them They took way too long.
- 25:56We also have to take into account that people were down
- 26:01here and weren't sent to thermal.
- 26:05There are people like VV who got into the Abbot lab.
- 26:08Yes, I mean and that's I did too, but OK.
- 26:13Well, yeah. What were they supposed to be
- 26:14doing? I don't know.
- 26:16If what were you supposed to be doing with Jeb the capacitor?
- 26:20Well, yeah, the the smart people were sent to be.
- 26:22The smart people were sent to be batteries.
- 26:24And then what were the the dumb people supposed to be doing?
- 26:27The dumb people were supposed to run the show.
- 26:29Strange that they do it that way.
- 26:32That's why everything's all kind of topsy turvy right now.
- 26:34Oh, because the dummies are running the show.
- 26:38Yeah. Interesting.
- 26:40Well, all the dummies are dead. The inmates are running the
- 26:42asylum kind. Of this dead guy over there on
- 26:45the ground. Oh, we should probably check
- 26:47that if if someone of you could do that because I won't be
- 26:52touching that I will take. A look.
- 26:55OK, I'll take a look. Oh, not great.
- 26:59You. Step in some of the blood and it
- 27:01sticks to the heel of your foot. This is this is pretty gnarly.
- 27:10You did roll over 13, so looking at the body, you look down at it
- 27:15and it's scientist. He's been ripped open by much
- 27:20larger blades than you've seen before on the cleaning drone,
- 27:24and he's written something on the floor in blood.
- 27:29Oh gosh, something's written on the floor here in blood.
- 27:34I'm a little distracted by the nasty blood on my shoe.
- 27:38It got out. Oh, I saw something else
- 27:45completely different. Who do you think it is?
- 27:48Maybe. All the big Gators thing mate.
- 27:51Wait, wait, wait. This is a scientific facility,
- 27:54especially with a lot of computer stuff.
- 27:56This man is a scientist. Maybe it's not it.
- 28:01Or person. But the IT department?
- 28:06What if the IT department went nuts here?
- 28:10The IT department got out. Oh, that could be it.
- 28:17Retro, it's I can always trust you to lighten the mood.
- 28:20Look, here we are laughing around a large pool of blood
- 28:23that VB stepped in. That's so nice.
- 28:26VB is even comfortable enough to drink.
- 28:28So do you sneak down here? I thought you said there was no
- 28:30vent any nothing in the vending machine.
- 28:32I grabbed one from upstairs. Yeah.
- 28:35They're able to get the last ginger ale.
- 28:38Do you mean the Gisner Ale? Incredible the.
- 28:46Gisner Snap, a branded drink. Inspiration.
- 28:51Tracy. Inspirations.
- 28:52The Gisner Ale. It's blocking my view.
- 28:58There it is. OK, sorry.
- 29:00I had a pop up block come up on my face.
- 29:02I got. Maybe you need to check your
- 29:05phone that is. My agent.
- 29:09Yeah, something popped up on my Chiron and I was like, get it
- 29:12off, get off, get off. I couldn't hit the little the
- 29:14little X. The way they make it really
- 29:17small and slightly, yeah, I hate that.
- 29:20And then, like, if you miss it, you automatically click the ad
- 29:23and it takes you there. It fucking hurts.
- 29:25Should try. You should turn on that Turn off
- 29:27intrusive ads feature. I hear if you sign up to the
- 29:30Patreon, you don't hear any ads at all.
- 29:36My head must be nice. What's a patron?
- 29:40You're poor. You wouldn't understand.
- 29:43Patron. Look, if I wanted to listen to
- 29:45an asshole, I'd Fart Vendel, OK? Look at you, slap back.
- 29:51I owner I got a slap back. You don't have one.
- 29:54You don't have one to give back. Oh, that's right.
- 29:59Have a roast battle oh oh. I did a Raspberry.
- 30:07Just furthering the point that you're an asshole blowing farts.
- 30:12Buttholes all. Right, I'm going to check the
- 30:15dead body to see if there's any keys or cards or eddies or
- 30:20pictures of family members or. Role perception.
- 30:24W twos. I'm assuming there's still W
- 30:28twos in this world. Is it possible that it is the
- 30:32research? What is the research?
- 30:35It's it got out. Word Word got out, I see.
- 30:43Perception 16. You don't find much on the body.
- 30:46It's been pretty torn apart. A lot of its abdomen has been
- 30:49sliced open and a lot of the blood actually sprayed across
- 30:53the room rather than poured, which is why it's gone so far.
- 30:58You do find another B pass, which means you can now give
- 31:01someone else access independently to the elevator
- 31:04without locking yourself in, which is super useful.
- 31:06And behind you there is a very thick glass window out into the
- 31:12depths of the ocean, and there in the distance you see a vent
- 31:18duct going through the water from one building to another.
- 31:23There's a vent duct is. There another going from one
- 31:27building to the other. Is there another building that
- 31:29we haven't seen or is this like the same?
- 31:32It looks like this is. Well, it's going to another.
- 31:34It's it's a vent to something else on this level, but I don't
- 31:37see where we'd access it from here.
- 31:38We can just see it out the window.
- 31:39Maybe one of those pools that. Oh yeah.
- 31:43Maybe there's another vent. Quick check under the couch.
- 31:47Or that. There's usually, there's usually
- 31:49people put a couch over a heating transfer.
- 31:52Raw perception. 17. 17 is enough.
- 31:55Just behind the crates you discover a vent.
- 32:01Oh man, I think I found out where they crawled from.
- 32:03That gives us this vent behind the crates.
- 32:07Oh man, I think they found their their old belly button ring
- 32:11still attached to the belly button.
- 32:12Gross. Gross.
- 32:15Are you not going to look through that big door for the
- 32:17research office? You're right.
- 32:20Here's the research office. This vent can wait.
- 32:27Can I-4774 the store? Sure.
- 32:33You tap the code in and again it says.
- 32:36Custodian code denied. And then it says lock down
- 32:40again. All right, you got to you got to
- 32:43get these computers in line, Mayor.
- 32:45Just turn and heal. They are not listening to the
- 32:49boss. Who's the boss here?
- 32:51You're the boss. Right, you should.
- 32:54You should. Wait, are you the boss?
- 32:58You're not, you know, under some sort of.
- 33:00I make the most money. And that's in our society.
- 33:03Makes them the boss because they make the most money.
- 33:06Won't argue with that. That's I think that's just
- 33:10science. Rendo.
- 33:12Rendo. Rendo.
- 33:15Retro, you should use your new skeleton key gun.
- 33:18I did and. 19 Yes, you blow the machine off the wall.
- 33:24And you got to see, You got to see this.
- 33:26Slides open. Shit, that's a triple crit, my
- 33:30guy. I just want that.
- 33:32I just want that at least put on.
- 33:34What a waste of using that on a door.
- 33:36I know, right? When you step into this room,
- 33:41it's the offices of the research level, and as you step in there
- 33:46are two vending machines to your left, the control panel to the
- 33:49door, which is now fizzling because you blew it up.
- 33:51On your right there are three pods and then three desks with
- 33:55computers and the rest of the room is filled with lockers and.
- 33:59What is in the pod? You check the pod and they're in
- 34:03the middle. Pod is a Person Person.
- 34:08Pod people. Only in the middle pod.
- 34:14Only in the middle pod. How emaciated are they?
- 34:18Oh yeah, they don't look like the ones in the battery at all.
- 34:20That person's like got cheeks that aren't invented.
- 34:23Vivi, in your medical opinion, do you think that we can save
- 34:28this person? Boss, permission to unlock their
- 34:31soul from this hell? Let me take a look.
- 34:37Damn. OK.
- 34:41Do I think? I can save them medical.
- 34:44Tech Eighteen from the outside, looking at some of the readouts,
- 34:48There's a few numbers that aren't labeled, but you
- 34:50recognize them with all of your experience.
- 34:53Recognize that this person's been in this thing for a little
- 34:57under three months? There's Their heart rate is
- 35:01pretty low. The machine is producing enough
- 35:03energy to keep the human alive, it seems.
- 35:07But the power readout's pretty low and they they do not look
- 35:13great, but they certainly look better than the other bodies you
- 35:17have seen. Does.
- 35:21I wonder if this is like part of the the step process to turn
- 35:24them into that. So those they're still, they're
- 35:26not like quite at the level that you know Jeb saw them or that
- 35:32this is like getting them to that point.
- 35:34I'm going to try to take them out and see if I can help them
- 35:38and examine them and see if they can be saved.
- 35:42I mean, at this point, what else can we do?
- 35:45I I I don't know about that. I'm I've got I've been getting
- 35:49bad vibes about this place. Everything has just been really
- 35:53Uber creepy and like, how are we to know that they don't have one
- 35:58of them drones inside them? Aren't we past the the?
- 36:01Drone inside theory isn't like. Yeah, the drones are way too
- 36:05big. Also, are you just going to
- 36:07leave this person to die Retro? No, I'm not leaving them to die.
- 36:11I'm leaving them in protected care and which we can then
- 36:16anonymously call the authorities and they can handle.
- 36:20We will not be calling the authorities.
- 36:23Totally calling the authorities. Phoebe You continue to look over
- 36:26the machine and you see that the nutrient reservoir is bone dry,
- 36:31and the readout says it's been bone dry for a few months.
- 36:35They have not been. They have not been receiving
- 36:38nutrients, none for months. Then they're probably as good as
- 36:43dead. But they're.
- 36:44Probably pretty fucked. I'm I'm going to try to help
- 36:49them. I'm going to try to get them
- 36:50out. Rough for it I'm.
- 36:53Trying to think of what I. Roll like I.
- 36:56Said. Paramedic 14 you go to disengage
- 37:02parts of the machine. Don't do it in the order that it
- 37:06was designed to do so. As you undo the front panel, the
- 37:12fluid that this person was being held in does not drain correctly
- 37:17and it starts to spill out the side and pour over your shoes
- 37:21and the ground. The ground gets covered in this
- 37:23sort of ever so slightly sticky water that starts to evaporate a
- 37:27bit like hand sanitizer. And this person is lying there
- 37:31with a mask over their face that looks like it's got tubes going
- 37:34down their throat. You can see the tubes undulate
- 37:37as it pushes and pulls oxygen in and out of their body.
- 37:40And in this moment, as the liquid settles out, the machine
- 37:44pulls around their waist. As they sit in this pond, the
- 37:47eyes pop open and she looks at you.
- 37:51Whoa. I don't like that.
- 37:53Maybe I do. I mean, that means she's live.
- 37:56Right. I I I'm about to.
- 37:57I'm about to shoot. You you have to.
- 38:00You have to take out the tubes. Being being incubated like this
- 38:05and conscious is not easy. Iona, you know more than me.
- 38:12Yeah, I'm going to try to. I'm going to try to pull the
- 38:14tubes out and try to help them. Retro is just shaking, starting
- 38:19to get a bit nauseous and get dizzy.
- 38:22I'm going to add 2 luck points to this role.
- 38:27So let's add. 2 to this. 19 Yes, very good.
- 38:32You pull the cable out of this woman's mouth and she coughs
- 38:36profusely as this much larger and longer tube comes out than
- 38:40needs to. She still has some connected to
- 38:43her skin, but they don't look the same as as the one you saw
- 38:46earlier. They look like they were sewn
- 38:49recently by a human rather than installed by a machine, and she
- 38:53coughs sputters as the final piece of the wire comes out of
- 38:57her esophagus. Is it all right?
- 39:06Yes. You're safe.
- 39:11Oh God. I was so terrified.
- 39:17God, you killed the Custodian. I looked to the rest of them.
- 39:22Killed the custodian. Need a regular frame or do we
- 39:42need one of these like better ones?
- 39:44You can donate kidneys. You're welcome.
- 39:46Sometimes you have to spell it out for.
- 39:48Him Doctor Ombre. You're stealing body parts.
- 39:50You've really thought about this, haven't?
- 39:51You. That's reassuring.
- 39:53At least these people consented to this.
- 39:56I hope you enjoy these. They were not cheap this.
- 39:59Whole thing is starting to make me feel.
- 40:00Sick. What is the custodian?
- 40:01Which custodian? No, I have not found #2.
- 40:04Fucking perfect. It's a big lab.
- 40:06You said there were two. Let's do it.
- 40:08Let's just do it. And let's go.
- 40:09Let's get out of. Here can I just take a look at
- 40:11your pulse really quick? Vivi, are you talking about
- 40:14drugs over there? I just I I decided I wanted
- 40:16anime Eyes today. All right.
- 40:17Oh, I'll get there and I'm, I am stressed out right now.
- 40:20I think he's suffering from high pressure nervous syndrome.
- 40:23SPNS. Are you also suffering from his
- 40:26penis? If he has some of those
- 40:28recreational drugs. Remy.
- 40:30Remy, do you have any weed? Did we lose him?
- 40:33Remy. Yeah.
- 40:34Wait, where is he? He's not.
- 40:35In the room. Has anyone noticed he's not in
- 40:38the room? Thank you for joining us on our
