- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah Joy, you.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Turn, you.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 5: I got to turn the mouth turn. You probably got
- 1:44Speaker 5: to turn the mouth. The water of the moat up.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Look me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you'll think that I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 7: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me
- 2:07Speaker 7: down one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Man o, man o, man, I just I have to
- 2:17Speaker 7: tell you this. How good is the God I serve?
- 2:25Speaker 7: How amazing is he? That's that's all I you know.
- 2:29Speaker 7: And you know what, really, man, when I try to
- 2:31Speaker 7: explain how I feel about what he does for me, really,
- 2:37Speaker 7: the words that I come up with, that they just
- 2:39Speaker 7: they they inadequate. Man, They don't they don't cut it.
- 2:41Speaker 7: They really don't. You know, I could say amazing. At
- 2:45Speaker 7: one time. I even just got that. I tried something
- 2:48Speaker 7: real ignorant. One time, I just said, you know, God
- 2:50Speaker 7: is just super captual, fragilistic as be all adocious. I
- 2:53Speaker 7: just tried that. See how that felt. That's that's all
- 2:56Speaker 7: to chain he is with me. I just try to
- 2:58Speaker 7: because see how that felt. But then I ain't feel
- 3:00Speaker 7: right saying that's the fact that he's amazing and awesome
- 3:03Speaker 7: and he's an awesome God. You hear people say that
- 3:06Speaker 7: is it's bigger than that too, man. So you know,
- 3:11Speaker 7: as hard as I try, no matter what I do
- 3:13Speaker 7: every day, I'm gonna come up short with trying to
- 3:15Speaker 7: explain to you exactly how he works and how he
- 3:19Speaker 7: is for me.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So I just thank him that every day every chance
- 3:22Speaker 2: I get here.
- 3:24Speaker 7: It is it is your determination and your effort. Listen
- 3:31Speaker 7: to me carefully. It is your determination and your effort.
- 3:38Speaker 7: I think that the average person, and I'm not knocking you,
- 3:43Speaker 7: I just want you to hear me out. I think
- 3:45Speaker 7: what stops the average person from becoming successful is that
- 3:49Speaker 7: we don't realize the effort that it takes. And that's
- 3:54Speaker 7: just truth. I found that to be so true in
- 3:58Speaker 7: my life and my talking to people and meeting people,
- 4:01Speaker 7: and people are asking me questions about it in me
- 4:03Speaker 7: trying to figure out the way myself. I don't think
- 4:08Speaker 7: that you really can comprehend the effort that it takes
- 4:13Speaker 7: to become successful. This is the thing that you have
- 4:16Speaker 7: to wrap your mind around very quickly. If you want
- 4:19Speaker 7: to be successful on any level in any area. The
- 4:24Speaker 7: dream is the beginning. Good Lord, let me tell you something.
- 4:28Speaker 7: The determination and effort is massive. You cannot be overly
- 4:35Speaker 7: concerned with sleep. If you are a person who is
- 4:39Speaker 7: always concerned about sleep, gets success out your mind. Ain't
- 4:44Speaker 7: fin to have a partner, is not finn happen. You
- 4:47Speaker 7: cannot be that concerned about sleep. Now listen to me.
- 4:52Speaker 7: You have to get your rest. But this was my philosophy.
- 4:56Speaker 7: I'm just sharing you with what how I did it.
- 5:00Speaker 7: My philosophy was I stopped being concerned about sleep. I
- 5:06Speaker 7: got my rest, but I got just enough to get
- 5:11Speaker 7: back to it, and I got back on the grind
- 5:14Speaker 7: to hop in the hustle. I got just enough rest
- 5:18Speaker 7: so I could go and put forth some more effort.
- 5:22Speaker 2: But listen to me.
- 5:24Speaker 7: You cannot sleep a third of your life away and
- 5:27Speaker 7: expect to become successful. If you're not already successful. If
- 5:31Speaker 7: you are asleep for eight hours, that is a third
- 5:34Speaker 7: of your day. You cannot be asleep a third of
- 5:37Speaker 7: your life and expect to get successful. Now, after you
- 5:40Speaker 7: get successful, you know you learn as you go to
- 5:46Speaker 7: work smarter, not harder. So as you get successful, you
- 5:50Speaker 7: may have eight hours available to you. But on the
- 5:53Speaker 7: way up there, I don't see how you can do it,
- 5:55Speaker 7: I promise you.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I don't. Now, maybe somebody can come for it. I
- 5:58Speaker 2: did it. Hey, yeah, probably lying. But okay, tell your story.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Because everybody I know that's successful that I've sat down
- 6:08Speaker 7: and had real talks with, they wasn't concerned with sleeping.
- 6:13Speaker 7: You cannot be concerned with sleeping. If you want to
- 6:17Speaker 7: be successful. How can this.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Happen for you? Listen to me.
- 6:21Speaker 7: The effort that it requires is massive. It's an all
- 6:25Speaker 7: out of salt on your dream. Now you got to
- 6:28Speaker 7: make an assault. It requires an all out of salt
- 6:31Speaker 7: on it. And you can't be sleeping. Fight at the
- 6:34Speaker 7: same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man, I
- 6:37Speaker 7: wish I could get y'all understand this right here. Understand
- 6:41Speaker 7: that the effort that is required to be successful will
- 6:44Speaker 7: take everything you have, and when you think you've given
- 6:48Speaker 7: your all, it's gonna require some more. The quality of
- 6:53Speaker 7: your chield is amazing. See okay, listen to what is
- 6:58Speaker 7: sitting around having a bill every day?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Fault?
- 7:01Speaker 8: What?
- 7:02Speaker 2: But they's sitting down smoking weed for every day, Pa.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Come on, man, for real, But if you took that
- 7:09Speaker 7: beer drinking, weeds smoking chill time and applied it to
- 7:13Speaker 7: progressing yourself towards your dream. When you do carve out
- 7:18Speaker 7: a vacation, guess where you be able to go. Guess
- 7:22Speaker 7: what part of the world you can go see. Guess
- 7:24Speaker 7: how you can cheer up now instead of you just
- 7:27Speaker 7: driving Every year your family to the family union, sit
- 7:30Speaker 7: at the same picnic table. Everybody pull they money in
- 7:33Speaker 7: two ten families don't never pool they money in.
- 7:36Speaker 2: They down there eating like y'all eating.
- 7:38Speaker 7: You got attitude cause cause the day or day side
- 7:41Speaker 7: don't have a chip in or not.
- 7:42Speaker 2: They down there eating the extra potatoes at and making places.
- 7:45Speaker 2: You're not huguing about this every year?
- 7:47Speaker 7: For real, man, they ain't got the T shirt money,
- 7:50Speaker 7: you know, they got the same T shirt on. They
- 7:52Speaker 7: ain't put in that really, man, so so so so
- 7:56Speaker 7: so you want that to be it every year? Or
- 7:59Speaker 7: do you want this year I'm taking my family to
- 8:03Speaker 7: New Orleans, or I'm taking my family see the Grand Canyon.
- 8:06Speaker 7: I'm taking my family down to the beach.
- 8:08Speaker 2: This year.
- 8:09Speaker 7: Me, me and my family gonna go sight see We're
- 8:11Speaker 7: gonna go ride a couple of river on Chicago. Me
- 8:14Speaker 7: and my family gonna go skiing this year. Me and
- 8:16Speaker 7: me and my family going out to La Man.
- 8:18Speaker 9: We go.
- 8:18Speaker 7: We're gonna go out there for a weekend. You know,
- 8:21Speaker 7: you know it can happen like that. But if you
- 8:23Speaker 7: ain't working, listen to me. Average effort gets average results.
- 8:34Speaker 7: That's that's all it is to it. See, ordinary effort
- 8:40Speaker 7: gets ordinary results. But if you put forth an extra effort. See,
- 8:48Speaker 7: the only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word.
- 8:52Speaker 2: That's extra.
- 8:53Speaker 7: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 8:57Speaker 7: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 9:00Speaker 7: a massive assault on your dreams?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Quit sitting up.
- 9:03Speaker 7: In here, man, trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man,
- 9:06Speaker 7: I wish I could tell you another way.
- 9:07Speaker 2: But it ain't one.
- 9:09Speaker 7: Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much
- 9:13Speaker 7: sleep I got. I just had to get my rest.
- 9:17Speaker 7: And once I got enough rest to get up and
- 9:19Speaker 7: get the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me
- 9:24Speaker 7: a tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He said,
- 9:30Speaker 7: to see if I can pull it up while I'm
- 9:31Speaker 7: talking to you. But he just sent me a little
- 9:33Speaker 7: sign just what nothing, just a little something to say,
- 9:36Speaker 7: Hey man, I ran across this, I thought about you,
- 9:39Speaker 7: and I sent it to you. It said no alarm
- 9:42Speaker 7: clock needed, My passion wakes me. It's in block print.

- 16:25Speaker 14: the whole program. Who else is on the list?

- 16:53Speaker 8: or less.
- 16:54Speaker 14: Listen, listen, listen, listen. Might don't you raise me? He

- 40:10Speaker 17: In your life up right now immediately. Yeah, I'm talking
- 40:16Speaker 17: crazy tomorrow.
- 40:20Speaker 2: All right?
- 40:20Speaker 1: Would you rather take a vow of celibacy or a
- 40:23Speaker 1: vow of silence?
- 40:26Speaker 2: Silent?
- 40:32Speaker 1: So you're just gonna be quiet if you talk for
- 40:35Speaker 1: a living? What what is it gonna be for you?
- 40:37Speaker 1: I mean, we all do, but.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Take talking.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It's just would you rather avow five years, a year,
- 40:46Speaker 1: ten years?
- 40:47Speaker 7: However about talking for five years? I'm gonna take a
- 40:52Speaker 7: vow of celibacy, but I'm not going to do it.
- 40:55Speaker 1: So you're just lying.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Now I broke a vial before we know. We
- 41:04Speaker 2: man on Bible and God don't stand in that. Yeah.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Hey, y'all, this is Monica, This is Spike Lee. Hey,
- 41:10Speaker 1: this is Mary J. Blog.
- 41:11Speaker 8: Yo.
- 41:12Speaker 2: This is Steven A.
- 41:13Speaker 8: Smith.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Hey, this is Shaka Kahan.
- 41:14Speaker 2: You have no idea what it is.
- 41:16Speaker 1: This is Carlos Miller, and this may or may not
- 41:18Speaker 1: be the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:20Speaker 12: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it is
- 41:28Speaker 12: time to check Steve's voicemail. If you would like to
- 41:31Speaker 12: leave a message for Steve, call him eight seven seven
- 41:33Speaker 12: twenty nine Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve, you
- 41:36Speaker 12: might just hear your call on the air like this
- 41:39Speaker 12: one from Lonnie Steve. Lonnie's from Michigan. He's married three times,
- 41:43Speaker 12: but he needs your advice.
- 41:44Speaker 8: Come on, hey, Steve, my name is Line.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I just wanted to call in about it.
- 41:50Speaker 8: Yo.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I've been married gee times. I'll stay my wife so dead,
- 41:55Speaker 2: you know, they.
- 41:56Speaker 18: Passed away, not not t my joy, with just the
- 42:00Speaker 18: elbows that they had. And now I'm in what they
- 42:05Speaker 18: call that commission to where I can't deal with any
- 42:10Speaker 18: more women because I'm afraid showing what you think about
- 42:13Speaker 18: that out my bottles.
- 42:15Speaker 2: And I love your show.
- 42:18Speaker 7: Well, Lonney, I don't know, I don't never been in
- 42:21Speaker 7: commission before. Did you mean remission?
- 42:24Speaker 2: I don't know what you mean. Did you mean submission?
- 42:28Speaker 7: I don't really know, Lonny, but I think what you
- 42:31Speaker 7: need to do, Lonnie is just go sit down some wells.
- 42:35Speaker 8: You know.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Man, when you ain't sure, Lonnie.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Just stop.
- 42:38Speaker 7: See your problem is you want to keep going in
- 42:41Speaker 7: forward motion. Sometimes you got to be steeled. You got
- 42:45Speaker 7: to trust, you got to say a prayer, you got
- 42:47Speaker 7: to wait on the answer. Now, I don't know what
- 42:49Speaker 7: I heard you say, but I thought like you said
- 42:52Speaker 7: one of them died or three something, Lonnie, don't nobody
- 43:00Speaker 7: won't you At this point, I'm just gonna be real
- 43:03Speaker 7: with you because it seemed like hooking up with you
- 43:05Speaker 7: as leads to early premature depth.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah, well I know what he said.
- 43:13Speaker 7: Yeah, but everybody is dying. Now it's time for you
- 43:17Speaker 7: to sit you down. Stop killing people. That's what you
- 43:21Speaker 7: need to do. But why is they dead?
- 43:25Speaker 19: Though?
- 43:26Speaker 2: All of them?
- 43:26Speaker 7: Everybody, man, Lani died. Now how that one and one
- 43:30Speaker 7: is two? And then this dude, Lonnie is always you.
- 43:37Speaker 7: You is the one of the ones in the equation
- 43:40Speaker 7: of one plus one equals two two two people get together,
- 43:46Speaker 7: one of them die, who left the.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Other one in Luni? Now line it.
- 43:53Speaker 7: That ain't a good track record if you tell a
- 43:55Speaker 7: woman that you day. Now, I've been married three times
- 43:58Speaker 7: and all of them have died. You will never be
- 44:01Speaker 7: on the date. Long right after that statement, you.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Know how many people don't get him go to the
- 44:05Speaker 2: power room and go.
- 44:06Speaker 20: Get in their car in commission right now, commission. He
- 44:11Speaker 20: not in commission, he's in rum mission.
- 44:17Speaker 2: He's grieving. All right, we have a new mission. That's
- 44:22Speaker 2: what he needs.
- 44:23Speaker 1: For Lanie. All right, we have another one, Steve. Uh,
- 44:27Speaker 1: for Lannie.
- 44:29Speaker 12: We played a voicemail from a male caller from Philly
- 44:32Speaker 12: Steve that said his wife doesn't want him yelling or
- 44:34Speaker 12: disciplining their son. Now we have a caller. Remember that,
- 44:38Speaker 12: we have a caller who left a comment. Take a listen,
- 44:41Speaker 12: good morning.
- 44:42Speaker 8: Uh.
- 44:42Speaker 21: I just have one question. Steve Harvey was saying, the
- 44:45Speaker 21: one thing that a man knows how to do is
- 44:47Speaker 21: be a man. I was just wondering if Steve Harvey
- 44:50Speaker 21: could give us the people examples of.
- 44:54Speaker 14: What that is, and that is being a man, or
- 44:58Speaker 14: you and your mind frame knowing what a man.
- 45:02Speaker 8: Is and what you know.
- 45:04Speaker 21: You were just talking about disciplining child and let that
- 45:07Speaker 21: man disciplining the child is one thing.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Man and not good at a lot of things.
- 45:11Speaker 1: For one thing, they are good at.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Being a man.
- 45:13Speaker 8: So I just want to know.
- 45:15Speaker 19: What are the things that you know.
- 45:17Speaker 1: That you are a good man?
- 45:19Speaker 7: Manhood is simple. We only have a few basic groups.
- 45:23Speaker 7: We protect, we profess, and we provide. That is the
- 45:28Speaker 7: basic aura of manhood. Professing his love for you, protecting you,
- 45:34Speaker 7: and providing for you. The number one rule of manhood
- 45:38Speaker 7: is just do what you say you're gonna do. If
- 45:41Speaker 7: a man does everything he says he's gonna do, he
- 45:44Speaker 7: garners the respect of his children, he gets to respect
- 45:48Speaker 7: of his coworkers, he gets to respect of all his friends,
- 45:51Speaker 7: he gets the respect of the woman he's dating.
- 45:54Speaker 2: He gets everybody's respect. Those are the three things.
- 45:57Speaker 7: Protection, proficient and providing, professing, protecting and providing.
- 46:04Speaker 2: And do what you say you're gonna do. That's manhood
- 46:06Speaker 2: all day.
- 46:07Speaker 12: Check check check, Yeah, all right, Steve, thank you. Coming
- 46:14Speaker 12: up next, today's prank phone call from the nephew. Right
- 46:17Speaker 12: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:24Speaker 12: Coming up at about four minutes after the hour. It's
- 46:27Speaker 12: my strawberry letter for today, and the subject is I
- 46:30Speaker 12: think he perms his hair. We'll find out what that's
- 46:34Speaker 12: all about. Getting too that in just a few because
- 46:37Speaker 12: right now it is time for the nephew and with
- 46:40Speaker 12: today's prank phone call, Yeah, we'll do that later, but
- 46:42Speaker 12: it's your show.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Now.
- 46:44Speaker 1: What you got Tommy, Well, I've.
- 46:45Speaker 13: Been down there at the church lately on these pranks.
- 46:47Speaker 13: You know that I've been heading down that to the church.
- 46:50Speaker 13: And today's title Lil God is not through with you,
- 46:57Speaker 13: but we are. You see what I'm.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Yeah, God is not through with you, but we are.
- 47:06Speaker 13: Oh yeah, yeah, you're gonna still have your relationship with him,
- 47:10Speaker 13: but you're not gonna have one with us no more
- 47:13Speaker 13: at this church.
- 47:14Speaker 2: God is not through with you, but we are, cat
- 47:17Speaker 2: dog if you would, yeah, take a tip check.
- 47:21Speaker 6: Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach our sister Takara. This
- 47:27Speaker 6: is Brother Brinkley from the church.

- 47:30Speaker 22: Oh hey, how is it?
- 47:32Speaker 19: I'm at work?
- 47:33Speaker 1: Can I call you back?
- 47:36Speaker 8: Well, this is this is kind of urgent. I'll call
- 47:39Speaker 8: your your house phone and I didn't get an answer,
- 47:41Speaker 8: and I had this other number on file, so I
- 47:43Speaker 8: wanted to reach out to you. But what I won't
- 47:45Speaker 8: take long, But it's really is all right that urgent matter.
- 47:49Speaker 8: If you don't mind, all right, hold on.
- 47:51Speaker 19: Hold on, let me let me step away from my
- 47:53Speaker 19: tuber Hello, Hello, Yeah, okay, so what's uh but the brink.

- 48:09Speaker 6: You know, I hate to be the one to bring
- 48:11Speaker 6: you some bad news. Let me just start by by
- 48:15Speaker 6: saying that God might not be through with you, but
- 48:18Speaker 6: we are here at the church. It has been brought
- 48:21Speaker 6: to our attention, uh, sister car that you guys are
- 48:25Speaker 6: halfway coming to church and you you you might come
- 48:27Speaker 6: once once out of a month. You're not tithing as
- 48:30Speaker 6: we expected. You know, the church can't really depend on you.
- 48:35Speaker 6: It's you you got you know, you bring your kids.
- 48:37Speaker 6: I think your brother comes to the church, but everybody
- 48:40Speaker 6: is coming every now and then. We cannot depend on
- 48:44Speaker 6: you all to be the members and have the expectation
- 48:47Speaker 6: of what we're trying to do.
- 48:48Speaker 19: What you say, you say your name is.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Yes, you work, you work under the I'm sorry I.
- 49:00Speaker 14: Never heard of you before.
- 49:01Speaker 6: I have been officiated by the pastor as I'm over
- 49:04Speaker 6: actually over the finance and we're going through all of
- 49:07Speaker 6: the books and looking at all of the numbers of
- 49:09Speaker 6: the of the members of the church, the directory, and
- 49:12Speaker 6: we're noticing.
- 49:13Speaker 8: What people are paying tied, what people aren't paying tied,
- 49:16Speaker 8: who's coming to church, who's participating in different and different
- 49:19Speaker 8: UH ministries and whatnot. And Sister Takar, I got I
- 49:23Speaker 8: have to be honest with you. You you the hell
- 49:25Speaker 8: maybe once every one or someone we might see you
- 49:29Speaker 8: might not see you, you know, and like I say,
- 49:32Speaker 8: God may not be through with you, but we are, okay.
- 49:35Speaker 22: You can't say that.
- 49:37Speaker 19: Listen, Why I don't understand like you're monitoring my my
- 49:43Speaker 19: my church going like I can.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I can't.
- 49:46Speaker 19: I have to go every single week.
- 49:47Speaker 6: I mean, why are you absent so much at the church?
- 49:52Speaker 6: Explain that?
- 49:53Speaker 22: I mean, I have three kids, you know, I mean, y'all,
- 49:58Speaker 22: I don't.
- 49:59Speaker 19: I mean, I you'll pray. I don't understand how a
- 50:03Speaker 19: church can are You.
- 50:05Speaker 6: Got two jobs, but we're not getting tied. Like you

- 50:10Speaker 19: Jobs because I can't afford.
- 50:13Speaker 8: You just said I got two jobs. That's what you
- 50:15Speaker 8: just said, and that those two.
- 50:17Speaker 22: Jobs are in support my kids.
- 50:19Speaker 19: I mean, I can't support the church and my kids
- 50:21Speaker 19: is the same term I can't do vote. I mean
- 50:24Speaker 19: I get when I can.
- 50:26Speaker 6: Let me ask you something. What are you making on
- 50:29Speaker 6: that other job?
- 50:30Speaker 19: Are you serious?
- 50:31Speaker 14: Are you really?
- 50:32Speaker 8: You?
- 50:32Speaker 6: Really?
- 50:33Speaker 19: You really? I didn't know the church and God is
- 50:37Speaker 19: this deep with You're really asking me how much I
- 50:40Speaker 19: make and my second job that I take to support
- 50:44Speaker 19: my kids? Come on, now, this gotta be something.

- 51:01Speaker 8: what what do you benefit?
- 51:03Speaker 2: The church?
- 51:04Speaker 19: Is that what the church is about?
- 51:06Speaker 6: This can be I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna say
- 51:08Speaker 6: this to you. Let me tell you what the church
- 51:11Speaker 6: is all about.
- 51:12Speaker 14: The church is and you say we need done with
- 51:14Speaker 14: you again one more time.
- 51:16Speaker 19: I'm serious.

- 51:19Speaker 6: that what the church is about. Let me tell you
- 51:21Speaker 6: what the church is. The church is a hospital for
- 51:25Speaker 6: crippled souls. You understand that that's what that's what the
- 51:29Speaker 6: church is. But when when we have souls that are
- 51:32Speaker 6: coming in to be saved, we are doing our job.
- 51:37Speaker 6: And guess what those people that are coming in. You
- 51:39Speaker 6: know what they're doing. They're tithing. That's what they're doing.
- 51:42Speaker 8: They're tithing.
- 51:43Speaker 6: You, sister Takara, I'm sure your soul is crippled. You're
- 51:47Speaker 6: not coming and you're not tithing. You may give us
- 51:50Speaker 6: a little some something when you show up. If you
- 51:53Speaker 6: show up, that am I right or wrong?
- 51:55Speaker 19: M okay?
- 51:56Speaker 14: How that?
- 51:57Speaker 19: Let me get what straight? What you call being for
- 52:00Speaker 19: in the middle of my work day to tell me
- 52:04Speaker 19: that you're kicking me out the church because I don't
- 52:06Speaker 19: give enough money to the church while I'm at my
- 52:10Speaker 19: job that I can very afford to pay my bills with.
- 52:15Speaker 19: So that a fact, I don't even know who you are.
- 52:17Speaker 19: I've never met you in my life, and I don't know.
- 52:20Speaker 10: What this church.
- 52:21Speaker 14: You know this church.
- 52:23Speaker 22: I hate to say it, but if that's what the
- 52:24Speaker 22: church is about, you had the.
- 52:26Speaker 14: Nerve to call me jock.

- 52:43Speaker 8: Well do you do you know brother Dwyane?
- 52:46Speaker 6: Isn't that your brother?
- 52:48Speaker 22: Okay?
- 52:49Speaker 6: And my brother.

- 54:07Speaker 1: You know the character? Yeah, you should ask Steve how
- 54:10Speaker 1: to do that, because he does that very well.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Oh he goes all the way. Have you noticed it?
- 54:16Speaker 1: But he comes out quickly right away because he gets tired.

- 56:41Speaker 12: this one could be yours.
- 56:43Speaker 2: It could definitely be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 56:46Speaker 2: We got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Thank you nephew.
- 56:49Speaker 12: Subject I think he perms his hair. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 56:54Speaker 12: I'm a forty nine year old divorced woman and I
- 56:57Speaker 12: was married to an older man that went bald early,
- 57:00Speaker 12: so I was the only female in our household who
- 57:03Speaker 12: had to worry about hair. I have two sons that
- 57:06Speaker 12: were blessed with a curly hair texture so that they
- 57:10Speaker 12: were not in the barbershop every week. I've never had
- 57:13Speaker 12: to deal with any man's hair issues, and I'm almost
- 57:15Speaker 12: ashamed to write to you guys this letter. I'm dating
- 57:19Speaker 12: a man that is fifty six years old and he's
- 57:22Speaker 12: from Detroit. Not to slam Detroit in any way, but
- 57:26Speaker 12: this brother's picture should be in the dictionary next to
- 57:28Speaker 12: the word soulful. That means we've been together for a
- 57:32Speaker 12: few months and we're at the spend the night phase
- 57:36Speaker 12: because it was pastime for us to start having sex.
- 57:39Speaker 12: The first time we had sex, he told me that
- 57:42Speaker 12: he had to go home immediately after we finished. He
- 57:45Speaker 12: said he didn't have any of his hair products with him,
- 57:48Speaker 12: so he had to go. I know just by looking
- 57:52Speaker 12: at him that his hair texture is not real and
- 57:55Speaker 12: he has some kind of product helping him to get
- 57:57Speaker 12: those curls. The roots don't match the ends, and it
- 58:00Speaker 12: looks like an afro with curly curls on the ends.
- 58:04Speaker 12: When he goes to the barbershop, he's there for long
- 58:07Speaker 12: periods of time. My first cousin just so happens to
- 58:10Speaker 12: go to the same barbershop, and he called me recently
- 58:13Speaker 12: cracking up. He said he's heard that my man is
- 58:16Speaker 12: still getting perms in twenty twenty three. I did not
- 58:20Speaker 12: want to believe it, but it makes sense. I sleep
- 58:22Speaker 12: in a bonnet and so does he. He won't shower
- 58:26Speaker 12: with me because he said I like it too hot
- 58:28Speaker 12: and the steam drives out his hair.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Why is he more.
- 58:31Speaker 12: Concerned about his hair than I am about mine? I
- 58:34Speaker 12: know for a fact that he uses the hair color
- 58:37Speaker 12: that's just for men. But a perm, though, this is
- 58:40Speaker 12: the only thing that puts me on pause about him.
- 58:42Speaker 12: Should I ask if he has a perm? Who cares?
- 58:46Speaker 12: I mean, this is a whole strawberry letter about hair. First,
- 58:51Speaker 12: your husband, who you said was older and went bald early,
- 58:55Speaker 12: then your two sons who you said were blessed with
- 58:58Speaker 12: curly hair, and now you're ma's hair. Who you suspect
- 59:01Speaker 12: has a PERM and you're concerned about asking if he
- 59:04Speaker 12: has one. I'm not sure why you won't just ask him,
- 59:07Speaker 12: you know, I'm not sure about that or why. I'm
- 59:11Speaker 12: not sure why his hair matters so much in the
- 59:13Speaker 12: first place. I mean, is his hair unattractive? Is it greasy?
- 59:19Speaker 12: Is it dirty? Does it stink? Does it get on
- 59:22Speaker 12: your pillowcases? Or is it simply because he perms it
- 59:27Speaker 12: and your is just not natural? Is that it you'd
- 59:30Speaker 12: like it to be natural?
- 59:32Speaker 1: I'm not real clear what.
- 59:33Speaker 12: Your issue is. Because he wears a bonnet that could
- 59:37Speaker 12: be concerning. But how does he treat you?
- 59:41Speaker 1: Do you like him?
- 59:42Speaker 12: And I would say the answer to that one is yes,
- 59:45Speaker 12: since you are sleeping with him already.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 59:49Speaker 1: So I just say, if you want to know about
- 59:50Speaker 1: his hair, just ask him.
- 59:52Speaker 12: It's simple. Just ask him about his hair. If he says, yes,
- 59:55Speaker 12: I purn my hair, then what then? What are you
- 59:58Speaker 12: going to break up with him because you don't like perm?
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean what you know what?
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: Steve?
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: First of all, I knew this letter was gonna be
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: problems because she started off talking about the dude was
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: from Detroit and not to slam Detroit anyway. But this
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: brother picture should be in the dictionary next to the
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: word soulful.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: I'm saying to be going And what's the problem. Yeah,
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: you don't understand. I used to go to Detroit to dress.
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: I went to Detroit with the full intention of shopping.
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: Right city Slickers, Broadway, Here.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: We go, Jack.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: Stayed right there. The hatch stole Henry had all of.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Them shut up?
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: How dare you Gordon.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: That Detroit was everything?
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: Aight Be's comedy kitchen, Whoa Joe Lewis Arena, the Silver Dome, the.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Fox, all jokes is all of them? Detroit was everything
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: to me, the automobiles, show girl, GM.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: Girl.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: You wrote the wrong brother with this letter.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: I'm so mad about the Detroit statement and the pitch
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: in the diction that next to him, next to soulful.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: And what is the problem. If your shoes don't match
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: your hat, that's a problem.
- 1:01:55Speaker 15: Come on right, yes, he says, the problem if your
- 1:02:01Speaker 15: parts ain't the same with at the knee and the
- 1:02:04Speaker 15: leg and the thigh, what what what you got on?
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: That's the problem.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: If you ain't ever wear a krim Dulla silk set,
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: what is wrong with you?
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: You haven't lived.
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: Yes, we wear a linen short set with thick and
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: thin socks on with data.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Shoot, yes, yes, hell yeah, my leisure suit match.
- 1:02:35Speaker 23: Yes, we love Detroit, destroys man and huh, how damn you?
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: The love I have for that city is real. Now
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: that we got that out the way, answered this little ragged.
- 1:02:58Speaker 12: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's responds. He's
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: mad about Detroit though. We'll have part two of Steve's
- 1:03:05Speaker 12: responds coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.

- 1:11:16Speaker 12: really popular on many dating apps right now. It's called
- 1:11:19Speaker 12: ethical non monogamy. It is the practice of having a
- 1:11:24Speaker 12: close or sexual relationship where both parties consent to infidelity.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: In other words, that's okay.
- 1:11:39Speaker 12: In other words, I tell you I'm married and you
- 1:11:42Speaker 12: agree to sleep with me anyway. That's basically what it is.
- 1:11:45Speaker 12: It's just cheating, okay, swinging swinging, Yeah. Open relationships and
- 1:11:52Speaker 12: polyamory all fall under the umbrella of ethical non monogamy.
- 1:11:57Speaker 12: People are embracing this concept so much that it's now
- 1:12:00Speaker 12: something you put in your dating profile to let people
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: know what you're into.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: In a twenty twenty you.
- 1:12:06Speaker 12: Gove poll of US adults, a third of the People's
- 1:12:10Speaker 12: survey chose ethical non monogamy. Millennials were the most likely
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: to choose this type of relationship.
- 1:12:19Speaker 10: Kyle Cheating, it's been out.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: When your wife see your profile, though, what is.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: It gonna safety?
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: You want to Jesus, you better hear him get that
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: to you. You're gonna have to take that down though.
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: When you're partner FID now, you're gonna have to take
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: it down because you ain't got.
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: To hear that.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Why is ethical attached? I guess because you disclosed it.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: I'm married upfront, I don't know.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: I'm trying to figure out who don't know I ain't married.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Well, you're you're famous, so that's a little different everybody.
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: I just want to put it out the more be
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: it more ethical or non monogamous relationships? That same profile
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: to be in my obituary, the exact same profile here
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: lies missed consensual, non.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Ethical, ethical, non monogamy. That's what he was. That's crazy.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: That is crazy. Well, it's on a dating app. But
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I think people think if.
- 1:13:37Speaker 12: They if they if they put a cuter term to it,
- 1:13:41Speaker 12: or a nicer term or a sexier term, they change
- 1:13:44Speaker 12: the name of it, it makes it better.

- 1:14:21Speaker 11: it's gonna happen.
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: I'm gonna be the voice of reason here, so yes,
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: I see something wrong with this rule. I'm gonna have
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: to tighten up.
- 1:14:29Speaker 11: Okay, that's fine, But there ain't nothing wrong with these
- 1:14:31Speaker 11: rules because this is gonna happen.
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: First rule number one, don't fall in love. Okay.
- 1:14:39Speaker 11: See what that means is fall in love with your
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: side piece could mess up the relationship.
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: You just need to know what this is.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: It's just sex, that's all we do.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: It's man.
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: This ain't no boys to me in love. This ain't

- 1:15:14Speaker 7: that is what it is in the beginning. But oh
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: my goodness, fall.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Hard as hell. Go ahead, Jim, all right, here we
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: go up. Number two.
- 1:15:26Speaker 11: Being a side piece means keeping your expectations in check. Okay, Yes,
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: I'm going on family vacation with my family, but I
- 1:15:37Speaker 11: will only be there when I'm not needed at the house.
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: Means don't don't worry about what we're going.
- 1:15:42Speaker 11: I'll be back. I can't be there every day. I
- 1:15:45Speaker 11: can only be there to day that she I'm not

- 1:15:48Speaker 2: And no, you cannot go on the family.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: Rule number three, and this is important. You got to
- 1:15:58Speaker 11: be undercover. That means you must communicate and meet up
- 1:16:02Speaker 11: with me without anyone else knowing. You need to act
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: like you in a spy movie. This James Bond were doing. Yes,
- 1:16:12Speaker 11: we're a spy movie. Okay't communicate that record. Don't look
- 1:16:15Speaker 11: at me since signal Okay, I use your hands. Since
- 1:16:20Speaker 11: I know what that means.
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: I be in the back.
- 1:16:22Speaker 11: I know what I know what the back at You
- 1:16:24Speaker 11: can't just stand up here and talk to me that record,
- 1:16:26Speaker 11: am I right round?
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: That's okay?
- 1:16:36Speaker 11: Yeah, going, this is very important. You got to know
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: the risks when you're getting involved with me. Okay, this
- 1:16:43Speaker 11: just int about you and me. It's about you, me
- 1:16:47Speaker 11: and her. Okay, think about everyone. When you make a move.
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: You have to know how you have You have to
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: consider her too.
- 1:16:57Speaker 16: Yes, oh really that's asier.
- 1:17:02Speaker 11: Yes, No, her work schedule, no time she gets home,
- 1:17:07Speaker 11: know what time she called? That way you know, but
- 1:17:10Speaker 11: not to say nothing. This is important.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: You have to know the risk for this.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Yes, it's crazy.
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: Now, this is a big one, and this is one
- 1:17:20Speaker 11: y'all like to do because when you see it, you
- 1:17:22Speaker 11: confront and all this stuff. But then what you need
- 1:17:23Speaker 11: to understand. I don't care who you talk to, even
- 1:17:25Speaker 11: if it's my own mama. Okay, never talk and never
- 1:17:28Speaker 11: admit to anything. If there's some drama things about.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: To get crazy, let me handle it and let me
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: do all the talking, all the lying.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Right, Absolutely, go ahead, I'm in charge of all lies.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Leave it to the experience, right.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and here the last one, the last one.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: This is very important.
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: You said, all of us very they are if we're
- 1:17:58Speaker 11: gonna make this work, calling they all got to important, okay,
- 1:18:01Speaker 11: and I mean this, no social media, lord, no, there
- 1:18:06Speaker 11: will be no selfish, there will be none.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Don't take pictures of us.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Just showing us holding hands.
- 1:18:12Speaker 11: Don't take no pictures of us our cloth, don't tag
- 1:18:15Speaker 11: me and none of these pictures, and definitely don't get
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: in my DMS. Nothing, no TikTok, no no snapchat, no
- 1:18:21Speaker 11: faith book, Twitter, no nothing, no notes, no text nothing,
- 1:18:25Speaker 11: no folks me nothing.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: This don't even exist.
- 1:18:29Speaker 11: Yeah, okay, and those are your root for the side piece.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Look up this morning?
- 1:18:35Speaker 6: Up?

- 1:18:35Speaker 7: While well, I don't post nothing, no way, and if

- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Okay? Or would you rather wait five years and get
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: ten million?
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: I could do. I could wait that five I'm waiting
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: for five years. I'm glad.
- 1:22:51Speaker 13: I'm gonna get to ten in five years. That that
- 1:22:56Speaker 13: million tomorrow and I passed.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Oh he's so rich to me. Take that million, Thank you, Pete.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Don't listen to this little rich over here.

- 1:23:41Speaker 8: All right?
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Would you rather take a vow of celibacy or a
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: vow of silence?
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: Silent?
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: So you're just gonna be quiet if you talk for
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: a living? What what is it gonna be for you?
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I mean, we all do, but take talking it just
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: would you rather avow five years? A year, ten years?
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: However about I can't stop talking for five years. I'm
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: gonna take a vow of celibacy, but I'm not gonna
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: do it, So.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: You're just lying, you're b Yeah breakwakp.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: I'm broke a vow. Before we know, we'll on and
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: God on standing lot.

- 1:25:12Speaker 16: me reach my fullest potential. I'm continuing that tradition with
- 1:25:16Speaker 16: my daughter, who will be attending in HBCU this fall.

- 1:25:28Speaker 16: represents the HBCU community. Join us in being part of
- 1:25:32Speaker 16: the transformation applied, donate, or partner with us today at
- 1:25:36Speaker 16: TMCF dot org.
- 1:25:38Speaker 12: All right, here we are, last break of the day.
- 1:25:40Speaker 12: It's been a good day on this Thursday. All Right,
- 1:25:43Speaker 12: we're going to switch gears here and Steve Harvey's gonna
- 1:25:46Speaker 12: give us some closing remarks.
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: You know something I think I want to share something
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: along the lines of you know, I was telling y'all,
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: started doing this meditation every morning, and I really can't
- 1:25:58Speaker 7: tell you man, it's really really helped me a great
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: deal because it's giving me a level of peace that
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: I've never really understood before. And it's just been every
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: morning as I go in prayer. But I read these
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: little daily motivational things and I was reading the other
- 1:26:17Speaker 7: day and it was teaching me this thing, this aspect
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: of worry that I think a lot of people are experiencing,
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: and I wanted to share it with you. It was
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: talking about what he really wants us to do is
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: give up your striving to keep everything under control, which
- 1:26:42Speaker 7: is actually an impossible task. And what's furthermore, it's actually
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: a waste of precious energy. Because what I've been learning, right,
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: this is God's guidance for each one of us.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: That God's guide, that God guides are, it's very unique
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: to each one of us. That's why listening to.
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: God is so really vital to your well being because
- 1:27:10Speaker 7: what God really wants to do, and what I've been
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: learning is he just really wants to prepare us for
- 1:27:15Speaker 7: the day that awaits us, and he really wants us
- 1:27:18Speaker 7: to give us direction and point us in the right
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: direction for today's events. And even though fear follows you
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: around throughout the day, it kind of stalks you, you
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: know what I mean, because there are so many opportunities
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: to not be conscious of God's presence that you have
- 1:27:37Speaker 7: to understand that even though all these opportunities around you,
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: that it can't really do you no harm as long
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: as you hold on. You remember how you hear old
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: people say hold on to God's unchange in hand. That
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: if you do that and you keep your eyes on Him,
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: then you get to enjoy this peace and it's peace
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: I've found because I've stopped worrying so much about the
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: things that I don't have control over. And one of
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: the big things is your future. You can't control your future.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: Look, that's not to say you're not supposed to plan
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: and hope and and have prayer about stuff. But praying
- 1:28:17Speaker 7: about stuff don't don't necessarily mean worry. Matter of fact,
- 1:28:20Speaker 7: it don't mean worry. So you know, you gotta uh,
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: you gotta pay attention to that. I've had to get
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: even better at mastering time. And what I've learned about
- 1:28:34Speaker 7: this is that all of us were really really built
- 1:28:38Speaker 7: in twenty four hour segments. But time man is like
- 1:28:42Speaker 7: a tyrant. Sometimes it just takes away at us in
- 1:28:45Speaker 7: our mind. And you got to learn how to master it.
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: And even though we're all bound by some form of
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: time in our life, how we're always conscious of time.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: You gotta be still. You gotta get out of the
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: mad rush.
- 1:28:59Speaker 9: Ya.
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: You got to focus on God. I like it in
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: the morning because it helps me start my day. You
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: got to get out the mad rush. You gotta focus.
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: You gotta get laser beam focused in the mornings. It's
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: great for me because it helps me balance my whole day,
- 1:29:15Speaker 7: and I just focus. I just sit with him. I
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: just talk to him about the stuff that I have
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: concerns about. I talk to him about stuff that I'm
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: hoping to accomplish, and then at the same time, I
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: leave it open to wherever he's trying to take me
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: for that day. I talk to him about things I'm
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: trying to make decisions on. I ask him to always
- 1:29:36Speaker 7: guide me and leave me in the right direction. And
- 1:29:38Speaker 7: it has been helping me out tremendously. Man, It's just
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: something I do in the morning. Look, you don't have
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: a radio show like me, so you ain't got to
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: tell a lot of people you're doing You don't have
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: to tell a lot of people that you're doing it.
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: But the reason I'm doing it is because I really
- 1:29:53Speaker 7: do try to encourage other people and get you to
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: have something that you can put into your day to
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: day and maybe it can help you. And that's why
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: I always like to use myself as an example when
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: I'm giving these motivational moments of stuff that I'm doing
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: that I've actually finding out through my own trial period
- 1:30:13Speaker 7: that really does work for me. And starting my money
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: off by meditating has really made a huge difference in me.
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: Is given me a really really calm amount of peace.
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: But I'm just employing everybody to form some type of
- 1:30:26Speaker 7: relationship with your creator. Man, it'll just help you out immenseally.
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: It really really will, because God who made you would
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: love to have some form of relationship with you. Now,
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: he's a gentleman. He's not going to force hisself on you.
- 1:30:39Speaker 7: So he does want to be invited in because he
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: gives us all the power of choice. But once you
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: invite him in, it's a very calming effect in your life.
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: You should try it if you have it. The cool
- 1:30:50Speaker 7: thing about it is you don't need permission, And the
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: even cooler thing about it is no certain way that
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: you have to do it. You can develop a meditation
- 1:31:00Speaker 7: that works for you.
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: You know what I mean. I like to read.
- 1:31:04Speaker 7: I like to I got a list of stuff that
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: I make sure I thank him for every day. My family,
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: my health, my grandchildren's health, of my hopes and dreams
- 1:31:14Speaker 7: of my kids, make me a light, show me how
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: to be a better example. And then I got a
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: lot of stuff in there that I want. I got
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: some material things, some spiritual things.
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: That I want. I go over those lists, and once
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: I read those lists and meditate on them, and you know,
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: put up my form of prayer. That's how I start
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: my day.
- 1:31:35Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:31:36Speaker 7: And I think, Man, I wish i'd done this long
- 1:31:39Speaker 7: time ago, to be honest with you, a long long
- 1:31:41Speaker 7: time ago. But you ain't never too late. So here
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: I am and you can too. Those are my remarks
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: for today.
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: That's it, y'all. Have a great day today. Talk to
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: God today. He'd absolutely love to hear from me.
