- 1:42Speaker 1: turn to you love. You got to turn out to
- 1:45Speaker 1: turn water water go. Come come on your back, uh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody you're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man. You
- 2:15Speaker 1: know what y'all? I mean, Really, the goodness of God
- 2:18Speaker 1: is overwhelming if you think about it, I mean, really
- 2:22Speaker 1: really think about it, even even when your circumstance doesn't
- 2:29Speaker 1: look so bright, even when you're going through something that's
- 2:32Speaker 1: causing you discomfort, pain, even even in that, God's goodness
- 2:41Speaker 1: is actually overwhelming, because don't forget why you're going through
- 2:47Speaker 1: this moment this first of all, this too shall pass.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But also secondly, remember man, ain't everything else that you've
- 2:56Speaker 1: gone through that seems so insurmountable at the time. Didn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: you get past that too? I mean, it's amazing if
- 3:05Speaker 1: you really think about it, if you really be you don't.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You don't get stuck on any one issue your whole life.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The only people that get stuck on an issue they
- 3:16Speaker 1: whole life is people who won't let it go. That's
- 3:21Speaker 1: really all it is. There are people who exist, and
- 3:25Speaker 1: you may be one of them. Oh please, No, I've
- 3:28Speaker 1: been guilty of it myself before. But I learned something.
- 3:31Speaker 1: There are things in my past that I just would
- 3:35Speaker 1: not let go of. It was done, it was over with,
- 3:38Speaker 1: I was past it, but I I would not let
- 3:43Speaker 1: go of it. It was over. The dude that did
- 3:46Speaker 1: it to me didn't exist no more. The problem that
- 3:49Speaker 1: it created didn't exist no more. The only problem that
- 3:52Speaker 1: kept hanging on was I would not let it go.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And man, you can't go forward if you're gonna keep
- 4:02Speaker 1: looking in the past. It's an impossible thing. It's like
- 4:06Speaker 1: driving a car. If you keep looking only in the
- 4:10Speaker 1: rear view mirror while you're driving, you're going to crash
- 4:13Speaker 1: pretty soon. And a lot of people just keep crashing
- 4:18Speaker 1: over and over and over and over because you won't
- 4:22Speaker 1: drive your car. You keep looking in the rear view
- 4:25Speaker 1: mirror at the pass. Oh woe is me? Oh? You
- 4:29Speaker 1: know they did me like that? You know, I ain't
- 4:31Speaker 1: been the same since he cheated on me. Oh man,
- 4:34Speaker 1: ever since she stole my money, I ain't been the
- 4:37Speaker 1: same man. She played me and ever since that out
- 4:40Speaker 1: and treated women differently. My father used to beat me. Okay,
- 4:45Speaker 1: you know now, Look, you may have some deeper stuff
- 4:47Speaker 1: going on, like you're abused or molested as a child,
- 4:51Speaker 1: but eventually, guess what, do you understand that when you
- 4:55Speaker 1: have relationship God with God, you can take that to
- 4:58Speaker 1: him too and drop it off and leave it there.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Do you know that he can fix and heal that.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Maybe it's something serious like that that you need fixing
- 5:09Speaker 1: on healing from a relationship with God can fix and
- 5:12Speaker 1: heal that. But man, come on, y'all, whatever it is,
- 5:19Speaker 1: and I'm not trying to downplay it or make it
- 5:22Speaker 1: act like it wasn't traumatic in your life, because oh God,
- 5:25Speaker 1: you don't want to you know, you don't want nobody
- 5:27Speaker 1: do that to you because you want to be the
- 5:29Speaker 1: you know, the post to child for misery. So please
- 5:33Speaker 1: don't let me take that from you. You know, if
- 5:36Speaker 1: if that's your position, that's your that's your you know,
- 5:40Speaker 1: hall of Fame card. You're hanging on too. I'm the
- 5:43Speaker 1: post to child for misery. Oh, no, one is more
- 5:46Speaker 1: woe than me. Then please don't let Steve try to
- 5:50Speaker 1: take that from you. Go ahead and hang on to that.
- 5:53Speaker 1: But let me tell you something though. If that's what
- 5:55Speaker 1: you're gonna hang on to, that's what you're gonna always
- 5:58Speaker 1: be the post to child mystery. At one point time,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you're gonna have to get on the move past it.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And you can. Sometimes, Man, it's merely a simple thing
- 6:07Speaker 1: of taking it to God and leaving it there. You know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: some people don't have money for therapy. Some people don't
- 6:14Speaker 1: even know who to call for therapy. God is the
- 6:18Speaker 1: best psychologist in the world. He he can fix it
- 6:22Speaker 1: for you. There is nothing too hard for God. You know,
- 6:26Speaker 1: when something seems impossible, y'all, God does the impossible all
- 6:30Speaker 1: the time every day. You don't know how I know.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I just look at a couple of basic things. Do
- 6:37Speaker 1: you know that that sun comes up every day in
- 6:39Speaker 1: the morning, It comes up in the east and it
- 6:42Speaker 1: sets in the west. You can't do nothing about that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: All you can you can wish because you plant your
- 6:48Speaker 1: flowers on a certain side of your house, you can
- 6:51Speaker 1: wish you all you want that maybe one day he
- 6:53Speaker 1: would bring it up out the northwest. So those flowers were.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now now it's gonna come up about these. It's gonna
- 6:59Speaker 1: come about these, and it's gonna set in the west.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And once the sun hits the horizon when you look
- 7:06Speaker 1: in the water, like if you are out in l
- 7:08Speaker 1: a and you see the sun going down. Once the sun,
- 7:11Speaker 1: once you can visually see the sun touching the horizon,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you have three minutes. You have exactly three minutes. You
- 7:18Speaker 1: can sit there with you watch. You can time you're
- 7:20Speaker 1: three minutes and it's gone. Three minutes, it's gone. It's man.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I read that somewhere and then I went and tried it.
- 7:29Speaker 1: It's gone every day if if it's clear enough, not cloudy,
- 7:34Speaker 1: once the sun touches the horizon on water, you've got
- 7:38Speaker 1: three minutes. I don't care who you are, you can
- 7:41Speaker 1: want it to be different. That's what he does. When
- 7:44Speaker 1: the wind blows, you can't do nothing about it. He
- 7:48Speaker 1: can bring it from the northeast, he can bring it
- 7:50Speaker 1: from the west, he can bring from the south He
- 7:52Speaker 1: can bring it hard, he can bring it cool, he
- 7:54Speaker 1: can bring it high. It's certain things that God, God
- 7:58Speaker 1: does the impossible all the hi. You can't explain him.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You know how those stars sitting up there? How how
- 8:06Speaker 1: can you find these constellations the big dip of a
- 8:09Speaker 1: little dipper? Ryan the Hunter, Oh that's God. That's got
- 8:12Speaker 1: nothing you can do by it. You can't reach them stars,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you can't shoot at them, you can't move them out
- 8:17Speaker 1: the way you know, or Ryan the Hunter's belt is
- 8:20Speaker 1: gonna beat them three stars out of angle. You can,
- 8:23Speaker 1: you can, you can call it what you wanna call.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's still that's what it is. See, He does the
- 8:27Speaker 1: impossible all the time. He created heaven and Earth. You're
- 8:31Speaker 1: saying that God can't get you through your past. Somebody
- 8:35Speaker 1: did this to me. It's the worst thing I had,
- 8:38Speaker 1: the worst childhood of anybody. God can't get you past that.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He can move Heaven mountains Earth, he can form the
- 8:48Speaker 1: Grand Canyon, he can make the water come over Niagara
- 8:51Speaker 1: Falls twenty four seven. He can't fix your little bit
- 8:56Speaker 1: of past yours you you instant, nificant being as we are.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's amazing how people make their problems bigger than God.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Somebody told me one time, stop telling God how big
- 9:11Speaker 1: your problems are, and start telling your problems how big
- 9:16Speaker 1: God is, and go on with your life. Quit driving
- 9:21Speaker 1: your car looking in the rear view mirror. Ain't nothing
- 9:24Speaker 1: back there but your past. And if it was hurtful
- 9:27Speaker 1: or painful, or something you just felt like you can't
- 9:30Speaker 1: get over, take your problems to God and leave them there.
- 9:34Speaker 1: You hear the old spiritual all you've heard it. Take
- 9:36Speaker 1: your problems to the Lord, Take your burdens to the Lord,
- 9:39Speaker 1: leave them ye at all time. But you think that
- 9:43Speaker 1: applies to everyone. But you come on, man, and a
- 9:49Speaker 1: lot of people out there going through much worse than
- 9:52Speaker 1: you have and have overcome it all. Why won't you
- 9:55Speaker 1: take the step to overcome your past so you can
- 9:58Speaker 1: get on with driving your con see a God trying
- 10:00Speaker 1: to take you, But it's the trick of the enemy.
- 10:03Speaker 1: The enemy tricks you from seeing your future by having
- 10:07Speaker 1: you constantly looking in your past. Man, it's a trick
- 10:11Speaker 1: of the devil. If the man, If the devil just
- 10:13Speaker 1: lets you quit, if he would just let you get
- 10:16Speaker 1: to drive in your car and look out into your future,
- 10:19Speaker 1: your future shows hopefulness. You have hope when you see
- 10:24Speaker 1: the future. But he can keep you in misery if
- 10:27Speaker 1: he keep you looking at your miserable pass He created you,
- 10:33Speaker 1: He got a plan for you. God looking for you. Man.
- 10:36Speaker 1: God would love to hear from you. Let's spend some
- 10:39Speaker 1: time talking to God today. Hey, God, what's happening. It's me.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I know I ain't talked to you in a while,
- 10:46Speaker 1: but feel bad about that. But I need you. He
- 10:49Speaker 1: know that. Everybody should say that prayer all the time.
- 10:52Speaker 1: It's cool, all right, well, all right, you're listening to show, ladies, gentlemen, people, animals.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show full effect. What's up Sherley, Hey Steve,
- 11:10Speaker 1: good morning to you talking about it? Call it good morning.
- 11:14Speaker 1: What's up? Cruel coming at your junior morning? Everybody and
- 11:19Speaker 1: Thomas smile. Gotta feeling, good morning, good morning. I gotta
- 11:27Speaker 1: feel ah, gotta feeling. Somebody's trying to sneak in my
- 11:38Speaker 1: friend and they gonna be no like that. Oh when
- 11:48Speaker 1: you hear that's all right there you've been to get too.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I didn't say we don't do that. Absolutely, that's who
- 12:02Speaker 1: doesn't do that. You ain't in the band and be
- 12:10Speaker 1: clowning that boy. Man, the man. I mean, man, I
- 12:15Speaker 1: just want to go. Really, man, you gotta stop all that.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You can't do that. You have people hazing people that
- 12:22Speaker 1: ain't ever had they asked. And if you don't know
- 12:27Speaker 1: what that is, you don't know what out of bounds like,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you don't know where to stop. So you just think
- 12:30Speaker 1: you just over here that that's that that a man.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Young kids, they don't know nothing about that. They ain't
- 12:36Speaker 1: took no whoop anyway, probably not subject. We need to
- 12:40Speaker 1: get on get on up out of him. Hey, good
- 12:44Speaker 1: morning again. Life is good. Life is good. Any questions
- 12:47Speaker 1: for me today though, there's something funny you want to
- 12:49Speaker 1: ask to see you this morning. I'm feeling kind of
- 12:52Speaker 1: see you know, I think it's gonna be time for
- 12:56Speaker 1: some of that, you know, just let it out your system. Yeah,
- 12:59Speaker 1: how you feeling about vacation this year? CEO? Right there?
- 13:10Speaker 1: No time at all. I mean it's a new year.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We haven't started our spring and summer vacation, so I'm
- 13:15Speaker 1: just wondering. I know how you've been in the past,
- 13:18Speaker 1: but that's the past. Well, I haven't been in the pain.
- 13:21Speaker 1: You all. You told us no, we couldn't have vacation
- 13:23Speaker 1: stake it on our own time. You weren't paying for vacations.
- 13:26Speaker 1: You know, things like that. It's a pattern patterns. I'm thinking,
- 13:32Speaker 1: have you changed listen to it? Know, the patting, the
- 13:36Speaker 1: pattern just to the pattern caused the pattering about to
- 13:41Speaker 1: be about the patty. So in other words, um, we
- 13:46Speaker 1: won't be able to ensure you saying you want to
- 13:48Speaker 1: take a trip together vacations. Well, I mean, I just
- 13:51Speaker 1: you know, he never gives us time off for vacation,
- 13:54Speaker 1: So I'm just wondering, Yeah, this year, will we be
- 13:57Speaker 1: able to have a vacation finalize? You gotta ask white folks.
- 14:03Speaker 1: We're asking the CEO. Leave you out of it. I
- 14:10Speaker 1: turn it over to the white folks. I think they
- 14:14Speaker 1: hand it better. They have more of a Tennessee to
- 14:17Speaker 1: hold me to the letter of the law. They gotta
- 14:19Speaker 1: employee handbook. Well, then, yes, we'll have vacations all the
- 14:26Speaker 1: days time to be missing. I don't know what the
- 14:28Speaker 1: hell they're gonna do about here. I think we'll continue
- 14:36Speaker 1: this line of questioning, asked the CEO when we come
- 14:39Speaker 1: back after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to
- 14:45Speaker 1: Steve Hardy Morning Show. You know, being a mom is
- 14:50Speaker 1: like a thousand little jobs all wrapped up into one,
- 14:53Speaker 1: from trauma nurse to afternoon mathematician, from organizer in chief.

- 15:01Speaker 1: I ain't no mom, but I show appreciate it the

- 15:46Speaker 1: tell me you got a question for the CEO. H
- 15:49Speaker 1: Do you see raises for any of us anytime in
- 15:53Speaker 1: the neil you? I see it? Good question, man, definitely
- 15:58Speaker 1: see it? Okay, okay? And then will it ever come
- 16:04Speaker 1: to fruishing you see it happening. I just said, I
- 16:08Speaker 1: see it. I see marsh Millers and rainbows in the sky.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Sometime I see rainbows in the sky, but run over
- 16:19Speaker 1: there to it and it ain't there, or you're there,
- 16:24Speaker 1: it will be there when you get there. What I
- 16:27Speaker 1: got a question? Go ahead, Carlin. Al Right, So as
- 16:31Speaker 1: a CEO, you're supposed to have, like, you know, this
- 16:33Speaker 1: vision and strategy for the company. So we're what in
- 16:37Speaker 1: the fourth month of the year. Okay, so what is
- 16:41Speaker 1: your vision and strategy for us for the rest of
- 16:45Speaker 1: the year. I ain't got vision strategy for nobody but
- 16:47Speaker 1: my damn self. I'm all vision and strategy out. I
- 16:53Speaker 1: can't be visualizing strategizing for all y'all because they don't
- 16:58Speaker 1: need to be wanting to want some for y'all that
- 16:59Speaker 1: you don't want for you. Damn a chance. Yeah, we
- 17:05Speaker 1: didn't even get a chance to get If you ain't
- 17:08Speaker 1: vision and strategizing by the fourth month or the year,
- 17:13Speaker 1: you ain't got no plan. Hey, what's your question, junior? First? Okay,
- 17:18Speaker 1: so we'll start to get around to our birthday. But
- 17:21Speaker 1: you know, like you know, next month, tommy birthday coming up.
- 17:25Speaker 1: You know, we want to know could you just provide
- 17:28Speaker 1: a party or something like that? For only reason I
- 17:34Speaker 1: don't do birthday parties because I don't know your birthdays. Well,
- 17:38Speaker 1: well we can get that to you, know, See, you
- 17:43Speaker 1: misunderstand what I said. I said reading I don't do
- 17:46Speaker 1: birthday parties. It's because I don't know nobody's birthdays. You're
- 17:50Speaker 1: getting it to me, don't mean I'm gonna know it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Can you have it and keep it on you? Why
- 17:57Speaker 1: would I keep your birthday on me when I need
- 18:00Speaker 1: all the space for my birthday? I know, Jenny seventeen.
- 18:05Speaker 1: If you want day to be important, you make it importantly.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You don't look over here. I ain't asked you for
- 18:10Speaker 1: a damn quarter for January semteen. You are no heavy?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Offered a quarter? Now? I did? Bye bye? What how
- 18:19Speaker 1: about some warm up? Now they was too tight, But
- 18:21Speaker 1: I did buy him some because warm up and stow
- 18:24Speaker 1: you shop at. I told you it looked like I
- 18:31Speaker 1: put it on the trying on the front of everybody.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You can't get my clothed baby get I don't care
- 18:38Speaker 1: if you do. Get the biggest side they got twenty husky.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I still can't wear well, okay, since none of us
- 18:45Speaker 1: my business too big for them for the job. I'm
- 18:50Speaker 1: a man's man. I stretched out, wore out, poke out,
- 18:54Speaker 1: still out, round out, I'd be out. Can tide? Yeah, time,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you're bad back. Okay, Well, since we didn't take any
- 19:14Speaker 1: we won't be able to get any vacation. What about
- 19:18Speaker 1: like personal days, like for our own birthdays and stuff?
- 19:20Speaker 1: Can we have those days? There? You go bringing up
- 19:23Speaker 1: the birthdays personal being in a birthday, you need to
- 19:28Speaker 1: up your damn is the person of day or it
- 19:30Speaker 1: is your birthday. We're just trying to get a day off.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Used to actually give us those perfects? Who did he
- 19:36Speaker 1: used to? Well, Shan ain't here? No, okay you must.
- 19:41Speaker 1: You might want to end up with Sean as you
- 19:45Speaker 1: can hear. We want to celebrate things together, that's worry
- 19:49Speaker 1: about like food, truck, fridays, room, game room in here,
- 19:56Speaker 1: like a pool table, ping pong table like that. Like
- 19:59Speaker 1: I can't take a about that. I was thinking about crymlal.
- 20:03Speaker 1: That's something we all do together. It's it's ever playing.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Aren't coming? Ain't it yea here together? Oh? So now
- 20:13Speaker 1: because you ain't together, you ain't got time for the loading.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Oh that's who we're working with. Come ye, Faith, you're fooling. Yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 1: try your okay, come oh, ye sites us a big love. Okay,
- 20:45Speaker 1: let's go to the bathrond that we would go. Tommy,
- 20:48Speaker 1: you're gonna have to do a re enactment of the
- 20:50Speaker 1: major scene. What do you mean? Okay? What that means?
- 20:54Speaker 1: I want to go over and see if we can
- 20:56Speaker 1: find the place that the baby was born, Baby Jesus.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah want that. And we don't find a play, We're
- 21:03Speaker 1: gonna make it play. We're gonna reenact the major scene, okay,
- 21:06Speaker 1: with all the wise men and and yeah, all the
- 21:09Speaker 1: wise me and the baby mother Mary Joseph. We don't
- 21:14Speaker 1: have a baby though, we need a baby. Oh, come on, now,
- 21:18Speaker 1: you got grandkids? Surely you think I don't think that
- 21:20Speaker 1: was a setup that you threw at me. You think
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't think that, Yes, you did? Well, hold on,
- 21:27Speaker 1: I got one deep, I got one better that him. Now.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna make you the baby Jesus, because I
- 21:32Speaker 1: don't think you qualified. What I was gonna do is
- 21:36Speaker 1: pop out. Wanted the boxers that the wise man head
- 21:38Speaker 1: with the guilt like a jacket of Hello. It didn't
- 21:46Speaker 1: you didn't pop? You pop your pop right, on out.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Did we get anything? Did we get anything? I the
- 21:56Speaker 1: greatest session to all time. Clear a lot of and
- 22:00Speaker 1: that we learned mostly from this go up stands and

- 23:45Speaker 1: dollars a week, two hundred dollars, eight hundred dollars a month.
- 23:49Speaker 1: That they're good because you're two hundred. Now, when can
- 23:52Speaker 1: I get down there so you can meet me? You know,
- 23:54Speaker 1: when we can show me around the shop so I
- 23:56Speaker 1: know what I'm moving from eight to seven? That's that's
- 23:59Speaker 1: two are too? Sadness? Alright? Because I want to see
- 24:02Speaker 1: if I can maybe meet you there so I can

- 24:07Speaker 1: what I want to ask you do you mind doing
- 24:10Speaker 1: for me? Do you think you could possibly put up
- 24:13Speaker 1: some ramps where you got steps at and uh and
- 24:18Speaker 1: your phone? Could you take your mind if you take
- 24:20Speaker 1: the phone and put it in breil for me? Oh wait, wait,
- 24:24Speaker 1: wait man, what the hell I need to put my

- 24:30Speaker 1: what was going on with you? Well, I'm I'm blind,
- 24:35Speaker 1: but I still don't you know, I'm not gonna let
- 24:37Speaker 1: that stop me. You know I'm still gonna Oh no, no, no, no,
- 24:41Speaker 1: hell no, man, you wait minute, you what I'm blind?
- 24:47Speaker 1: But see now, see I've been but I've been cutting
- 24:49Speaker 1: my hair for over ten years, and folks say my
- 24:52Speaker 1: hair could always look good. So I didn't figuring I'm
- 24:54Speaker 1: gonna start cutting half now. Oh well, yes, what you
- 24:57Speaker 1: might cut, it might be some good that you do,
- 25:00Speaker 1: but just ain't cut nor in my shop. Not being
- 25:03Speaker 1: glad that you ain't that jack man? No what ain't
- 25:07Speaker 1: got no problem with that, but but you you just
- 25:10Speaker 1: can't do it that. Well wait, wait, not cause nothing.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You see this what they called they called excrimination. You
- 25:16Speaker 1: can't do that. You can't scriminate from people. You're called
- 25:19Speaker 1: they got some type of handicap blows to you. Listen,
- 25:22Speaker 1: hol let me tell you something, man, I'm not trying
- 25:25Speaker 1: to be trying to put you out of being a
- 25:27Speaker 1: dock doing what you need to do. But you just
- 25:29Speaker 1: can't do that my shot. Man, I can't be calling
- 25:32Speaker 1: discrimination discrimination, scrimination or what not. Not it not jot.

- 26:05Speaker 1: in my show. I'm no good to see now. That's
- 26:08Speaker 1: what I don't. I don't care to hear something like
- 26:10Speaker 1: this here. Now I've been I got the qualifications and

- 26:25Speaker 1: I don't care about you bein't able to cut no
- 26:27Speaker 1: aft being blind, you got to be able to see
- 26:29Speaker 1: to do that. This could probably do to do wonders

- 26:35Speaker 1: see somebody like myself cutting that kind of what I said.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I heard what you said. But what I'm saying with

- 27:11Speaker 1: have to get into no tussle with you now, I
- 27:13Speaker 1: don't want that about getting trusting with me that if
- 27:16Speaker 1: you bring your in my shot that much, you're gonna
- 27:19Speaker 1: cut it and he's gonna be some clue you moving around.
- 27:23Speaker 1: But I'm coming down there, and I'm coming down That

- 27:42Speaker 1: booll rent. You don't give a damn. I don't want
- 27:44Speaker 1: your money, can't. No, man, you understand what I say
- 27:50Speaker 1: to you. I'm understanding what you're saying. And if I
- 27:52Speaker 1: got to call the law about you being discriminate law,
- 27:56Speaker 1: you can call anybody you want to call that's mine.
- 28:01Speaker 1: You're not gonna do that. You understand what I'm telling you. Now,

- 32:14Speaker 1: it real big with his show The Last Dog Anyway,
- 32:17Speaker 1: he stopped by the View. He talked about how grateful
- 32:19Speaker 1: he is to receive his star on the Hollywood Walk
- 32:22Speaker 1: of Fame. He talked about, of course, his hit show,
- 32:24Speaker 1: The Last Do G. It has been picked up for
- 32:26Speaker 1: a second season. Yes, it's already. It's really good, and
- 32:31Speaker 1: Tracy gave Whoopie Goldberg mad prop says the best decorated
- 32:36Speaker 1: female comedian. Uh tick a, listen to this, Like billions
- 32:40Speaker 1: of people's have been the show business and acted, but
- 32:43Speaker 1: only like two thousand people gotta star. I'm right there
- 32:46Speaker 1: with Lena Horn Wow right, and you know what you
- 32:51Speaker 1: don't I mean, we get Star was awesome. But the
- 32:54Speaker 1: people that don't win, like Jackie Gleeson is right across
- 32:57Speaker 1: the street, but Sakin is right of the street. And
- 33:01Speaker 1: these are the people that maybe want to do comedy.
- 33:03Speaker 1: But big, I mean to me the most decorated female
- 33:07Speaker 1: comedian in the world. Wow, whoop, whooping Goldber. That was
- 33:20Speaker 1: really nice that he said that. Yeah, what does that
- 33:24Speaker 1: make Manique? Monique is she? Is she? What are you start?
- 33:29Speaker 1: What does that make? Amy Shuman? I mean, I'm just
- 33:31Speaker 1: now we're gonna decorate this comedy the way were supposed to.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I'm just trying to say, now I'm with hire, with
- 33:37Speaker 1: when he when I'm with him. But what I'm asking
- 33:41Speaker 1: fans like Steve, I'm with him, war whooping Morgan, Tracey whoop, whooping,
- 33:50Speaker 1: cold whopping, one of the greatst What I'm asking him everything?
- 33:57Speaker 1: Why he didn't say nothing by moniqu As that's one
- 34:01Speaker 1: on because he felt that Whoopie was the most decorated
- 34:05Speaker 1: comedian already said what he felt and I said, what
- 34:09Speaker 1: the colt whoop? What a whataterfi Monique Amos, That's what
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm asking. He didn't mention them. He mentioned WHOOPI go Ber?
- 34:21Speaker 1: Why why he didn't mention you had enough? You can't
- 34:28Speaker 1: take no stop speak with me? Wait, man hit it again?

- 34:58Speaker 1: ego I know what the you got, come on everything
- 35:05Speaker 1: grammar to you got that Tony boy, Yeah, girl man,
- 35:12Speaker 1: and let me tell you something, Poppy Goldberg. It's the
- 35:16Speaker 1: reason black people can wear a hair on TV. Like,
- 35:19Speaker 1: come on, Poppy Goldberg started that. Yeah, don't go over
- 35:31Speaker 1: the sideways. She got both barrels, she got her stuff
- 35:35Speaker 1: in the chamber. Okay, with some fly sniggers on, all right, Steve,
- 35:44Speaker 1: let's go ahead and transfer on over to miss Dance,
- 35:46Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, our very own talented
- 35:50Speaker 1: informative miss and Trip. Thank you, Thank you, Steve. Good
- 35:54Speaker 1: morning and trip of the news everybody, Good morning out there. Okay,
- 35:57Speaker 1: confirmation hearings on President Trump's nomen need to have the
- 36:00Speaker 1: massive Department of Veterans Affairs. You're Admiral Ronnie Jackson. Those
- 36:05Speaker 1: hearings have been postponed and indefinitely after the nominations run
- 36:08Speaker 1: to some very strong and bipartisan by the way, resistance
- 36:11Speaker 1: in the U. S. Senate. Now, there are allegations, unsubstantiated,
- 36:15Speaker 1: but allegations that Dr Jackson, for instance, may have overprescribed
- 36:18Speaker 1: prescription drugs, that he used to be called a candy man,
- 36:22Speaker 1: or that he might have been drinking excessively while performing
- 36:24Speaker 1: his duties as White House position to ex Presidents Obama
- 36:28Speaker 1: and Bush and now Donald Trump, legislatives say they want
- 36:30Speaker 1: to investigate more. Now looks like gop Leady Mitch McConnell
- 36:34Speaker 1: is passing the ball to the President, who in turn
- 36:36Speaker 1: is passing it to Dr Jackson. It's up to the
- 36:38Speaker 1: administration to do the vetting. And um, I'm assuming at
- 36:43Speaker 1: some point here it'll be cleared up as to the
- 36:46Speaker 1: way forward with regard to the new v A Secretary
- 36:50Speaker 1: Admiral Jackson, I said, what do you need this for?
- 36:53Speaker 1: President Trump calls the confirmation process ugly and disgusting. Senators
- 36:57Speaker 1: already doubted that Dr Jackson would be able to run
- 36:59Speaker 1: the human his VA anyway because they're not sure that
- 37:01Speaker 1: they say that he has the administrative skills and the
- 37:04Speaker 1: way of the murders of four innocent people at a
- 37:06Speaker 1: waffle House restaurant in Nashville over the weekend, focus is
- 37:08Speaker 1: now on also on the fact that the suspected gunman,
- 37:11Speaker 1: Travis Ranking, was not allowed to own a gun in
- 37:13Speaker 1: Illinois because the Secret Service canceled his permit, but was
- 37:17Speaker 1: possibly within his rights to own one in Tennessee, where
- 37:20Speaker 1: he allegedly committed the mass murder. Also, there's a question
- 37:23Speaker 1: of whether Ryan King's father could face charges for giving
- 37:25Speaker 1: his son back the guns that the Secret Service took
- 37:28Speaker 1: from him last month. Travis Ranking currently being held on
- 37:31Speaker 1: two million dollars bail and facing four murder chargers. The
- 37:34Speaker 1: jury and the retrial of Bill Cosby on sexual assault
- 37:36Speaker 1: charges now deliberating that case. Last year, a different jury
- 37:39Speaker 1: deadlock causing this mistrial, and that's why we have a
- 37:42Speaker 1: retrial now. President Trump is reportedly considering giving a posthumous
- 37:45Speaker 1: pardon to heavyweight boxing champ Jack Johnson. Jack Johnson came
- 37:49Speaker 1: the first black heavyweight champ in nineteen o eight because
- 37:52Speaker 1: he had a white girlfriend who traveled with him. Racist
- 37:54Speaker 1: charging with transporting a white woman across state lines for
- 37:57Speaker 1: immortal purposes he could was convicted by an old, white,
- 38:00Speaker 1: old male jury and sent to prison for a year.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Trump has been says he's been thinking about partnering Johnson.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Everson Sylvester Saloon called him about the case and asked
- 38:09Speaker 1: him to think about please giving him a partner. A rapper,
- 38:11Speaker 1: Meek Mill, finally, a freeman. That's right, Meek Mill. In fact,
- 38:14Speaker 1: rang the bell before last night seventy in Miami head Game,
- 38:17Speaker 1: and finally Today's National Telephone Day, Ring that telephone. Now,
- 38:22Speaker 1: we'll be back with more entertainment and today's training topics.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Twenty minutes after the hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 38:28Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. Billy stand up Meek
- 38:35Speaker 1: mil is a freeman. First of all, what to violate
- 38:40Speaker 1: his probation because he popped up wheelie and he broke
- 38:43Speaker 1: up a fight. Yeah, yeah, that's the violation. So if
- 38:48Speaker 1: you're on probation, you you can't be any kind of citizen,
- 38:53Speaker 1: not even a good one. So you have to be oatmeal.
- 38:57Speaker 1: If you see a fight, you don't go nowhere near
- 39:00Speaker 1: as you on probation. If you you see some kids,
- 39:02Speaker 1: you can't entertain them with a wheel stands. You have
- 39:05Speaker 1: to be a non existent human being on probation. But
- 39:09Speaker 1: since you didn't give me a shout out on this
- 39:13Speaker 1: song that I asked you too, are you serious? Yes? Yes,
- 39:18Speaker 1: I mean it's so serious, horrible injustice, it really is.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Jay Z, dr J, Kevin Hart, Rick Ross, Philadelphia seventies
- 39:28Speaker 1: Sixers co owner Michael Rubin, and many players from the
- 39:31Speaker 1: seventies Sixers and the Eagles Colin Kaepernick. They all, um,
- 39:35Speaker 1: you know, have been in support of Meek Mill. When
- 39:38Speaker 1: they tell you this is wrong, the the fist tells
- 39:42Speaker 1: you this is wrong, the police come out and say
- 39:45Speaker 1: he did the right thing. Are you kidding me? And
- 39:49Speaker 1: for her to have any insinuated ties, well, I mean,
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know, Steve, the last five months have been a
- 39:57Speaker 1: just a nightmare for Meek Mill. After that contra visual
- 40:00Speaker 1: ruling back in November, you know, Meek received the sentence
- 40:04Speaker 1: of two to four years in prison for probation violation.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Just like you just said, Steve Shirley. Well, the Pennsylvania
- 40:12Speaker 1: Supreme Court ordered bail for Meek so he can go free.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Over ruling that judge c that you just mentioned, Judge
- 40:20Speaker 1: Genice Brinkley, who wanted to keep him there in prison
- 40:24Speaker 1: at for at least another sixty days. Meek was ordered
- 40:28Speaker 1: to be released yesterday. He issued a statement thanking the
- 40:32Speaker 1: District Attorney's office, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, his legal team,
- 40:37Speaker 1: Brock Nation, jay Z, seventies Sixers owner Michael Rubin, all
- 40:42Speaker 1: of his family, his friends, and his fans who showed
- 40:46Speaker 1: support while he was locked up, Meek says he also
- 40:49Speaker 1: plans to shauna light on other cases where people of
- 40:52Speaker 1: color are improperly jailed and promised to keep fighting. He's
- 40:57Speaker 1: gonna resume his rap career, get back to making music.
- 41:01Speaker 1: And it was really good to see Meek at the
- 41:04Speaker 1: seventies six is Miami Heat game. It was game five
- 41:07Speaker 1: last night of the playoffs. If you were there Philly,
- 41:10Speaker 1: you were there at Wells Fargo Arena, or you know
- 41:13Speaker 1: you were like us, you just watched the game on TV.
- 41:16Speaker 1: You know, Meek Mill was the seventies Sixers v I
- 41:20Speaker 1: P guest last night at the game. That is just
- 41:24Speaker 1: fantastic news. Okay, Shirley, what you got? What we got
- 41:27Speaker 1: coming up? Coming up in about ten minutes at thirty
- 41:30Speaker 1: four after the hour, Sarah Land, Alabama. We're gonna talk
- 41:33Speaker 1: about that little suburb of Mobile. I believe it is
- 41:36Speaker 1: well anyway, police are standing by the controversial arrest of
- 41:40Speaker 1: a black woman at a waffle house. Yeah wait till
- 41:45Speaker 1: you hear this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:50Speaker 1: According to CBS News Now, guys, police and waffle House
- 41:54Speaker 1: corporate executives are defending police intervention at the Sarah Land, Alabama,
- 41:59Speaker 1: rest staurant where a black woman's arrest captured on video
- 42:04Speaker 1: raised questions about mistreatment. In a news conference, police and
- 42:08Speaker 1: Sarah Lend, a suburb of Mobile, said that they responded
- 42:11Speaker 1: when employees call them reporting trouble with a woman who
- 42:15Speaker 1: appeared drunk and had been asked to leave for bringing
- 42:18Speaker 1: in what employees believed to be alcohol. When they arrived,
- 42:22Speaker 1: witnesses told them that Shakisa Clemens had indicated she might
- 42:28Speaker 1: have a gun and might shoot people. A video shows
- 42:32Speaker 1: three police officers wrestling her to the ground. Three police
- 42:35Speaker 1: officers wrestling one woman to the ground, uh, to the
- 42:38Speaker 1: floor and arresting her while she and a friend complained loudly.
- 42:42Speaker 1: The video shows two officers throwing Clements to the floor,
- 42:45Speaker 1: her top somehow gets pulled down it exposures her breasts, yeah,
- 42:51Speaker 1: and them asking what are you doing? What you know?
- 42:54Speaker 1: Clemens was asking this what are you doing? What are
- 42:56Speaker 1: you doing? And and the cops says, I'm about to
- 42:58Speaker 1: break your arm is what I'm about to do. Uh.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Take a listen to the Saralyne police press conference. All
- 43:05Speaker 1: witness accounts were in concert and reported the individuals smelled
- 43:10Speaker 1: of alcohol and appeared intoxicated. One person did bring a
- 43:13Speaker 1: drink into the establishment and they were told that they
- 43:16Speaker 1: could not have outside food or beverages in the restaurant.
- 43:19Speaker 1: They were asked to lead because of bringing in this beverage,
- 43:21Speaker 1: which they also believed could be alcohol. After that encounter,
- 43:25Speaker 1: all of the situation escalated, with both Ms. Clemens and
- 43:28Speaker 1: Miss Adams being allowed and using profanity towards the employees
- 43:32Speaker 1: of waffle House. Words were used towards the employees, such
- 43:35Speaker 1: as calling women horns. They were told, you need to
- 43:40Speaker 1: cool down and please stop using the profanity. We have
- 43:42Speaker 1: other patrons in the restaurant. They told the waffle House
- 43:46Speaker 1: employees that I'll come over this counter and beat your
- 43:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna have your job. You ain't gonna be here tomorrow.
- 43:53Speaker 1: According to one of the witnesses, waffle House personnel are
- 43:56Speaker 1: also told I may have a gun, I may have anything.
- 44:01Speaker 1: I can come back here and shot, just play something
- 44:03Speaker 1: if I need to. Witnesses also record that the officer
- 44:06Speaker 1: asked Ms. Clemens to comply with his instructions on multiple
- 44:10Speaker 1: occasions to stop resisting arrest, and she refused to comply. Wow,
- 44:14Speaker 1: I've done well. You know what's gonna happen man, sadly
- 44:24Speaker 1: is when they showed his video, it's gonna make a
- 44:27Speaker 1: lot of people say they were justified because of the
- 44:33Speaker 1: the pointing back and forth between her and the employee.
- 44:36Speaker 1: That's what people are going to do. See. Let me
- 44:39Speaker 1: tell you something. These same people, I want you to
- 44:42Speaker 1: understand this, looked at the Rodney King video and saw
- 44:47Speaker 1: the police protecting himself, saw a man resisting arrest. If
- 44:53Speaker 1: they can look at that video and come to that conclusion,
- 44:56Speaker 1: please understand that they're gonna look at this video in
- 45:00Speaker 1: the same way. Now. Was it are necessary to treat
- 45:05Speaker 1: this woman this way? Absolutely? What. You can't tell me
- 45:12Speaker 1: that there's not another way to treat a woman. You
- 45:15Speaker 1: can't tell me that. And you can't tell me had
- 45:19Speaker 1: this woman not been of color, that she'd even be
- 45:23Speaker 1: on the ground. I don't imagine, because you have no
- 45:26Speaker 1: proof of it happening in the past, and so I don't.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I just it's it's a horrible thing that's happened. Um. Look,
- 45:34Speaker 1: the witnesses are there saying what she said that could
- 45:38Speaker 1: be legit was she resisting arrest? I don't know, But
- 45:43Speaker 1: once they claim, once they show you struggling. All they're
- 45:47Speaker 1: gonna say is that's resisting that once they see you struck,
- 45:51Speaker 1: any type of pulling away anything, don't man, John, I
- 45:55Speaker 1: don't know how to get away. You posted just fall out,
- 45:57Speaker 1: gold limp, dish rag and then let him jerk you
- 46:01Speaker 1: around how they want to wow. Well, Stevie n double
- 46:05Speaker 1: a CP has called the arrests troubling and they're investigating
- 46:09Speaker 1: to get a firsthand account of what really hasn't Yes,
- 46:12Speaker 1: it is. Investigation is needed because this is a woman
- 46:16Speaker 1: we're talking about, was talking. We're talking about a woman
- 46:20Speaker 1: and they handled the way they handled her. All right,
- 46:23Speaker 1: um neview tell me has a prank phone call coming up. Plus,
- 46:27Speaker 1: we're gonna tell you what our woman crushed Wednesday is
- 46:31Speaker 1: and good it better be good. What our woman crushed

- 48:07Speaker 1: she said it takes a little longer to try and
- 48:09Speaker 1: conceive a child than you know in your earlier years.

- 58:04Speaker 1: that because it wow. Thank you Tommy. All right, here
- 58:09Speaker 1: we go subject he chose his wife over me. Here,
- 58:12Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I need your advice because I really want
- 58:16Speaker 1: to kick my dad's wife's behind. I am a forty
- 58:20Speaker 1: two year old single mother of two kids. My children's
- 58:23Speaker 1: dad's don't help me financially, so my father has helped
- 58:26Speaker 1: me raise my kids for the past fifteen years. Well,
- 58:30Speaker 1: I recently lost my job and everything went downhill. I
- 58:34Speaker 1: wasn't able to pay my rent, so I had to
- 58:36Speaker 1: move out of my apartment. At the beginning of this month.
- 58:39Speaker 1: I called my dad to ask if we could move
- 58:42Speaker 1: back home, and my dad had the nerve to tell
- 58:45Speaker 1: me that I had to discuss it with his wife,
- 58:48Speaker 1: my stepmother. He put her on the phone and she
- 58:51Speaker 1: screened h E double l NA yes and UH said
- 59:00Speaker 1: this would be the ninth time that I've moved back
- 59:03Speaker 1: in with them. She said it's not their problem that
- 59:05Speaker 1: I can't keep a job, and that both of my
- 59:07Speaker 1: kids dad's are losers. She said she will no longer
- 59:10Speaker 1: allow me to ruin my daddy's credit. Then she told
- 59:15Speaker 1: me to get off my fat blank and start and
- 59:21Speaker 1: start taking care of myself. Before she could finish, I
- 59:26Speaker 1: hung up on her. Yes, I have made plenty mistakes,
- 59:29Speaker 1: but I don't need her throwing them in my face.
- 59:32Speaker 1: So now my children and I are living with my girlfriend,
- 59:35Speaker 1: but we can't stay there much longer. My dad will
- 59:38Speaker 1: not speak to me until I apologize to his wife.
- 59:41Speaker 1: I told him that was never going to happen. Why
- 59:44Speaker 1: should I apologize to this woman? She hurt my feelings,
- 59:48Speaker 1: so she should apologize to me and let me move
- 59:51Speaker 1: in until I get back on my feet. I don't
- 59:54Speaker 1: feel like I'm wrong. This was my dad's way. This
- 59:57Speaker 1: was this was my dad way before he was her husband.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, what do you think? Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: How wrong are you? You're just so wrong right here? Uh?
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: And the fact that you don't know this makes this
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: letter even more ridiculous. Okay, your father has every right
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to do what he's doing, confer with his wife. He
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: has to discuss this with his wife. Okay, it's her
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: house too. Uh. Your your dad doesn't owe you anything, okay, Uh,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: he doesn't have to let you and your kids move
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: in with them. I mean, how much more is he

- 1:02:42Speaker 1: my apartment at the beginning to this moment, I called
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: my dad asked him if we can move back home,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: and my daddy had the nerve to tell me I

- 1:04:42Speaker 1: get nobody to marry her because she keeps picking loses
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: that don't pay no child important and help her financially
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: with the two boyd I feel sorry for that, but
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: that ain't the problem. You called your daddy because you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: lost your job, and why you keeping losing job? You
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: keep losing job? Then you call your daddy now he
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: didn't help you in the path it this time and
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: tell you a discuss it with his white Now you
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: want to kill her. You want to kick my wife

- 1:05:22Speaker 1: when you gotta bring it? She said it would be
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: the ninth time, and she did not lie as because
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you didn't dispute it just the nine damn time that
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I moved back in with them. She'd been there through
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: eight movie. She said, it's not a problem that I
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: can't keep a job and that both my kids dads
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: are losing. You slept with them, bums. Not ain't helping
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: out with your kids? Come on, this will be the
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: ninth time. She said. She was no longer allowed me
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: to ruin my daddy's credit. Here is what you really mad.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: She then told me to get off my fat as
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: start taking care of myself. That's what prompted this letter. Right,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: she had called your father asser. See that wasn't She
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: wasn't gonna right this letter until she told her get
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: off your father and take care of yourself alone. Now
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: we have the letter. Now before she could finish, I
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: hung up because the fatther ass wiped out. This is
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: how the conversation. Get off your fat ass and take
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: care of yourself. Hey, what is daddy and step mom
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: over there doing by theirself? Anyway? What did they do?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: They live it? They they probably set sixty seventies. They
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: don't want them damn kids, and they eating groceries. But
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: there's already last time she was here, that one reasons
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: you left the pad locked refrigerator. They put combinations on
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: all the camp be sure she could finish. I hung
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: up on her. Yes I have made now here we go.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Here comes the confession. I hung up on it. Yes,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I have made plenty of mistakes, but I don't need
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: her throwing them in my face. She didn't throw them
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: in the face. You keep throwing them in the face,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: you keep dragging them. Damn kidding back over there eight
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: times prior. It ain't that they throwing it in your face.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: You keep bringing it to they face. So now my
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: children are now are living with my girlfriend, but we
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: can't stay there much longer. You know why because your
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: girlfriend know you gotta fat, and you're over there eating
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: groceries up over there too, and the two boys. My
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: dad would not speak to me until I apologize to
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: his wife because see, you ain't just hang up. See
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: see what you called you fat? Take care of yourself.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Oh you went out the house like you at the waffer.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: You gonna come back around? Oh you threw something back
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: up in that house. Then now you gotta regret. I'm fat.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Oh I'm fat. I ain't the only one fat. Me
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: and you ain't the same side. Because when I live
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: at I wore your clothes. That's why you can't come back.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: And that's why you gotta apologize. I told him I
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: was that was never going to happen. Now you're not
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: gonna apologize to you when you ain't getting in this
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: woman's Oh are you stupid? Why should I apologize to
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: this woman? She hurt my feelings? You've been eating her
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: grocery staying at her house, messing up your daddy credit.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: She don't know you nothing. She hurt my feelings, so
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: she should apologize to me and let me move in
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: until I get back on my feet. Who see, everybody
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: always gotta do something for you. She got to apologize
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: me and let me move in until I get back
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: on my feet. It's hard to get on your feet
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: with ass your side. I've seen big people fall before.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: It takes a while. They got to roll over, get
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: on both knees. They need a hand up. Ify, ain't
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: no hand on the way, They just stay there. No,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I'm telling you this is what this is. I don't
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: feel like I'm wrong. Well, Charley told you all wrong.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: This was my dad way before. He was a hug. Yeah,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: your dad. But when you get a wife, he has
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: to leave all others and cleave unto her. That your
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: answers included in the league. What your ass is included
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: in the league. And you could come over with people's
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: house and stay long if you leave some of that
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: as they But she brings that white as stead and
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: replenishing ass. See if you would get in the weight
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: loss business, if somebody wouldn' mind letting you stay there.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: But you're in the ass replenishing this. You know, they're
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: just blowing that. We're sitting up here watching as we go.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Your sons are sitting on it while you're walking around Walmart.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: You got one son on each cheek. Ain't got your grocer,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: your boys riding your She really doesn't get it. She says,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: this was my dad way before he was her husband.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Yeah that's right, but so damn what. He's still your
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: daddy and he said you can't come over there. He's
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: not like Shelly said. He's not just your daddy. He's
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: been your enabler. You've been over these people house eight.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: So what you do is you know you ain't got
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to do right as long as you don't want to,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: because you just go over your daddy's house. Well, they
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: put a stop to this, So now I ain't got
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: to go to work. I don't feel like it to day.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: You five, I'm going to my daddy. You ought to
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: be taking care of dad. You're forty too, You lazy
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: and you ask with like a cor Alright, Steve, we
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: gotta get email us or instagram your thoughts on today's
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Strawberry letter at my Girl Shirley and please join me
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: this Thursday at one p m. For the Strawberry Letter
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Live after show on Facebook. Okay, coming up, Steve, it
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: is your turn to ask us the parenting question. When
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: we come back, it'll be right after this. You're listening
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Billy Stand Up. Meek
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Milm is a freeman. First of all, what to violate
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: his probation because he popped a whilie and he broke
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: up a fight. Yeah, that's violation. So if you're on probation,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: you you can't be any kind of citizen, not even
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: a good one. So you have to be oatmeal. If
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: you see a fight, you don't go nowhere near because
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: you want robation. If you you see some kids, you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: can't entertain them with a wheel stand. You have to
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: be a non existent human being on probation. But since
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: you didn't give me a shout out on this song
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: that I asked you too, are you serious? Yeah? I
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: mean it's so serious, horrible injustice, it really is. Jay Z,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: dr J, Kevin Hart, Rick Ross, Philadelphia seventies Sixers co
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: owner Michael Rubin, and many players from the seventies Sixers
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: and the Eagles Colin Kaepernick. They all, um, you know,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: have been in support of Meek Mill. When they tell
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: you this is wrong, the de fist tells you this
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: is wrong, the police come out and say he did
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the right thing. Are you kidding me? And for her
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: to have any insinuated ties, well, I mean, you know, Steve,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the last five months have been a just a nightmare
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: for Meek Mill. After that controversial ruling back in November,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: you know, Meek received the sentence of two to four
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: years in prison for probation violation. Just like you just said,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Steve Shirley. Well, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered bail for
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Meek so he could go free, over ruling that judge
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: st that you just mentioned, Judge Genie Brinkley, who wanted
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: to keep him there in prison and for at least
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: another sixty days. Meek was ordered to be released yesterday.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: He issued a statement thanking the District Attorney's office, the
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Pennsylvania Supreme Court, his legal team, Rock Nation, jay Z,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: seventies Sixers owner Michael Rubin, all of his family, his friends,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: and his fans who showed support while he was locked up.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Meek says he also plans to Shauna light on other
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: cases where people of color are improperly jailed and promised
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: to keep fighting. He's gonna resume his rap career, get
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: back to making music. And it was really good to
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: see Meek at the seventy sixers Miami Heat game. It
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: was game five last night of the playoffs. If you
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: were there, Philly, Meek Mill was the seventy Sixers v
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I P guest last night at the game. Yea one
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: on five point three D in Philly. We feel like
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Philly to me. Now, that is just fantastic news. All right, Steve,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: You've been wanting to ask us this all morning, the
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: parenting question for Carla, Tommy and I. What do you
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: have for it? I wanted to notice, surely you have
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: a daughter of this age. Tasha is yeah, she's not
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: there yet. Tommy, you have boys the son of this age,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: and your daughters are not there? All right? How do
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: you feel about any of your children being not married
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: to their boyfriend or girlfriend wanting to spend time with
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: y'all on vacation? How do you all feel about so
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: like if my daughter wanted to bring her boyfriendcation on
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: vacation with us and they're not married. Where where where
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: are they sleeping in? Yeah, that's the thing. Yeah, which
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: y'all also separate rooms. See, I feel the same way
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: my mom felt if I wanted to do that growing up.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I'm old school in that regard. Just, um, don't.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: I don't want that to happen. See, that's one thing.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: But then maybe he's talking about because the first thing
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: hit in my mind. I got to foot the bill,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: I got to pay for another person if it's my
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: and I think he needs to be getting that. Just
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: answer that question. Yeah, don't get a problem with that.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Understand what you're saying. I feel like, yeah, like my
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: mom felt, if they were me, I wouldn't want them
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: to do it if they're not married, right, But you're
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: not talking about financially, you're just talking about yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: you're just talking about the couple when you were talking
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: about going on the trip, but going on the trip
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: with the parents, that's what you're saying. Yeah, I think
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: it's a problem, but you're gonna sleep over here right
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: as long as this you're yeah, they can't sleep together?
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Is that what you're asking the others? How y'all felt
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: about It's awkward? Understand how you feel. See, even if
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: they have separate rooms, you don't think they're gonna they
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: ain't gonna stay right, I better not catch you creep
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: and cross you didn't they cannot go. Yeah, I feel
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: the same way. Yeah, my mom didn't want me to
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: do it. I don't want my kids to do it.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: That's it. It's just the way. It's a different time now,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: and you know, I'm trying to understand it and get it.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: But I mean, you know, at the end of the day,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: you know they millennials. We ain't. We got to be millennius.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Know what, I'm gonna stay old. We were raised. I
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: don't have it where you're in my This is the
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: rule that I had to come up with. You can't
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: be in our personal space with it. We could be
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: in the same hotel with it. You can't be in
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: our personal space. Let me ask you this, Steve. Are
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: they grown technically? Oh yeah, there are? Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: like our same age as are Yeah you at You
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: ain't coming now, I bet not. Thank Yeah. You you
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: opened that doing something. We gotta go and we'll come
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: back and and and pick this back up. All right,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvy Morning Show.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: All right, we're still in the middle of this conversation. Steve,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: you asked us this question, how do we feel about um,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: your our kids. I'm not no, I'm just want your
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: honest opinion. You can't say. I was just wondering. I said,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: how do you feel about your children who are of
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: age dating, being involved with their significant others, wanting to
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: come on vacation with you? I don't have a problem
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: with that. It's not a yeah, it's cool. It's it
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: might be fun m a whole lot of funny, you
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: know what? Because I was thinking, there's still my baby
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: is still a baby to me, you know what I mean?
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: She yeah, she is. I still he's still my baby.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: She's still my baby. To be cool with it, because
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: I would be uncomfortable with him. I only have a
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: ten year old daughter, but she can't bring her boyfriend
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: on trips with us. I guess it's just not Well,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you're not and Tash Tash will papa gasket? Yeah, having
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: this discussion because you know, because of what we talked about,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: You're absolutely right, We're not. They're going to have sex.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: If they're having sex already, they're going to have it.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: That's not even the questions. Let's let's take that off
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: the table, because let's let's let none of us are
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: naive about that. My daughters one, she has a fiance.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure he asked her to marry her for
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: a reason. You're not being naive about that. He don't know. Okay,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: they've actually met us places, but they're engaged. That's and
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: this young man has means you ain't know, Daddy, can
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: you fly us over here? I'm not being to fly
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: no boy nowhere. I just want you to understand that
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I'm not going to give a man a quarter to
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: impress you. M As long as you ain't interrupting my
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: sex while were on vacation, I'm pretty much fine with it.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: So you're cool with that. I mean, what is the problem, though, Seriously,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't if they're grown, they're twenty one,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: they're of age, they're legally grown. You're asking this because
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: you must don't want them now, No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I really I really enjoyed, Lord. I mean, they're legally grown,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: So I actually like this young man as long as
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you like them and they're cool and you get along.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I look at it like family time. He took sex
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: off of it. I was just asking y'all how you
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: felt about it. I'm okay because I've done it before.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: It wasn't awkward for me because it's just a fiance.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: If you're not engaged and you're my daughter, No, he
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: can't come. No. No, he has to provide you the
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: lifestyle that he can promise you. But if he can
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: do that and they're not engaged, he still can't come.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: He can't. She could, but he can't. If my son's
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: is dating a significant other and I pay for my
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: son to come, which I don't have to because they
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: all worked, except if he was winking because he's in college.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: If I pay for my sons had their own money
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: and they bring the significant other, I'm okay with that.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I'm not okay if it's different with the You're yeah,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: you're just it's just a double standard because it's boys,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: you're not. I don't I don't know what you want
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: to call it double standards it I ain't doing that,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: but that is a double standard. Well, I'm just calling
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: it what it is. Well, the boys have to pay, though,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: they have to pay for their old girl to call. Yeah,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: so if they can pay, they can come. I know
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: you asked the question. Yeah, because now we're getting deeper
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: into it. See you're saying I have a double standard, don't.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I don't know what you're calling it dead phone. I'm
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: just telling you I'm not my daughter, ain't bringing no
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: boy on no damn trip. See Okay, I'm calling it
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: that because that's what it is, said the sun the
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: son vacation and you had a significant other. I'll allow that,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: but you're double yeah my daughter because ain't no boy.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Listen to me, I'm times well, if you stop yelling, okay,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: tim me right now, you're just dealing with trade here. Boy.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: But soon as Sydney get of age, you this this
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: tone I got, you're gonna have this damn And if
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Sirley was a man, exactly if I were a man,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: you met Tasha, who ain't but teen, get of this
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: age and watch how Tosh handled this here. I'm just
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: letting you know how you're gonna feel. You don't have
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you you have strong as attitude by it like this,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: But it's still a double standard. Still, it's I bet
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: your black ass won't be on this boat. That's all
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: we know. Now everyone, all your sons can bring their
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: significant significant others, and your daughters are just by themselves
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: on the boat. Don't talk to your mama, talk amongst
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: yourselves to your mama. And let me tell you something.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Madred and told every last one of them. That's how
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: your daddy feel. I can't I can't stop it. And
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: what he nothing to do is be uncomfortable on his vacation.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: He's not gonna be on comfortable. I'm not gonna ask
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: him to be on comfortable. Your daddy work all year
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: for this vacation. I'm not gonna ask this man to
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: be uncomfortable. Cause you wants to do this here. Your
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: boyfriend got to be before to take you the places
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: that he could take. Well, if you can sit up
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: on your doctor on your daddy dad, listen, well let's
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: do that. Said. If he could afford it, let's not
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: worry about these kids. Can't afford it. He ain't coming
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: over here ship. Okay, let's not worry about these kids.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Double double stick takes a triple. Yeah, I was significant other.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: I wouldn't take you know what to get an understanding
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: what's actually happened on this because we don't really example,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: all right, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. The Steve

- 1:25:43Speaker 1: entertainment news Tracy Morgan, who is back and doing it
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: real big with his show The Last O G. Anyway,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: he stopped by the view. He talked about how grateful
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: he is to receive his star on the Hollywood Walk
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: of Fame. He talked about, of course, as hit show,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: The Last O G. It has been picked up for
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: a second season. Yeah already, it's really good and Tracy
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: gave Whoopie Goldberg mad Prop says the best decorated female comedian.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Uh take a listen to this like billions of peoples
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: have been in show business and acted, but only like
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: two thousand people gotta star. I'm right there with Lena Horn. Wow,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: you know what you don't? I mean, we're getting the
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: star was awesome. But the people that I'm win like
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Jackie Gleeson is right across the street, but Sake is
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: right across the street. And these are the people that
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: maybe want to do comedy, but big I mean, to me,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: the most decorated female comedian in the world. Wow, Yo,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: whoop Goldberg. That was really nice that he said that. Yeah,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: what does that make Monique? She is she? Why are
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: you starting trouble? I'm with him? War whooping, Tracy Morgan,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Tracey Whoop, whooping, Cole whopping, one of the greats. She's got.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: What I'm asking Why he didn't say nothing by Monique
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: and Amos. That's one I'm asking because he felt that
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: Whoopie was the most decorated comedian already said what he
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: felt and I said, Whooper cole whatterfi Monique. That's what
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: I'm asking. Why why he didn't mention you had enough?
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: You can't take no stop speak wait man hit it again.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Cat to me, the most decorated female comedian in the world.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Only five people got what he got it. Come on,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: he got everything, gar to you got that, Tony boy,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: you bad girl man. And then let me tell you something.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: WHOOPI Goldberg. It's the reason black people can wear the
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: hair on TV like, come on, hoppy Goldberg started that. Yeah, yes,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: don't go over the sideways. Alright, get ready when we
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: come back the last break of the day and time
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: for Steve's closing remarks. You're listening show all right, here
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: we are, last break of the day with just one
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: more thing, and get ready of course for Steve's closing remarks.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: He has brought those back for the new year two
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: thousand eighteen. Okay, to date, I thought a good subject
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: to talk about was about I think mentors being mentored,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: how to attract the right mentor. Um. I don't care
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: what you're thinking of doing in your life. I don't
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: care what decisions you make. Somebody's already done it, attempted,
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: it gone down that role made the attempt. Maybe not
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: your ideas specifically, but the route to get there has
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: already been traveled for the most part. Uh, if you
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: want to be successful, there are successful people. If you
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: want to be a star athlete, there's a star you
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I'm saying to you that whatever
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: it is you're trying to accomplish, somebody has already taken
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: the path. Now, finding these people is really really not
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: that difficult. Now, getting in front of them is where
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: you're gonna find the difficulty. So let me give you
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: a couple of suggestions. What is the best way to
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: approach a mentor. What is the best way to approach
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: a mentor of means and a mentor with means, Because
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: that's that's two different people. You know, Martin Luther King
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: was a mentor of means. He wasn't a wealthy man,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: but Lord have mercy man, the knowledge that he could
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: have given you about struggling and overcoming and and and sticktuitiveness,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: those those lessons he could have taught you would have
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: been invaluable. So you have two different types of mentors.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: You have mentors of means and mentors with means. Now,
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: if you can find the two combined, that's even more special.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: But you're getting into more of a rare territory. Now,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: it's harder to find mentors of means and with means combined,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: because how do you get to that person? How do
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: you get to the oprah Winfreys. When you find someone
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: in your life, or you meet someone that you hear someone,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: you put them on your vision board. I want to
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: meet this person one day. I would love to have
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: a conversation with this person. You have to understand something.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: Most people with means of any kind, like Bishop Jake's,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: he has a lot of means. Man he tells well
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: financially too, but he is also just a man of
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: wealth of knowledge. How do you get to these people? Well,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: it's several ways to do it, but if you can
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: somehow find that way, because there's no specific way. Right
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: when you get in front of this person, I want
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: you to understand something when you're facing them. They don't
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: mind teaching and sharing because most people of means are
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: great sharers and great teachers a Bishop Jake's, Joe Oldstein,
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: that brother that has the app out, the hip hop
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: uh preacher Eric Eric Thomas brothers like that too, and
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: I listened to him man a lot of times. But
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: getting in front of them, taking their course or whatever
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: you might do. When you get in front of them,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: they don't mind teaching and sharing. They will mind giving
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: you money. See, most people want to meet them mentor
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: so they can present an idea to him and get
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: some financial help. That's the quickest way to run them
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: off out of it because everybody is used to that.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: Do you have any idea how many times in a
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: week I'm asked for money? It's sickening. But if you
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: come to me and say, man, could you just give
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: me a piece of advice? I usually don't have no
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: problem with that. I got time for most anybody that
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: wants some advice wants me to share a wealth a
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: piece of knowledge. That's okay. So when you get to
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: these people, have a plan to be taught something. Ask
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: him to teach you to fish, not to give you
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: a fish sandwich. Ask him to teach you to fish.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: They don't have a problem with that. Now in several
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: ways to get in front of them. But when you
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: do get that, when you finally do meet and meet
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: the main as difficult as you think. Now, if you
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: live in you know, New York, and your mental lives
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: in the l A, You're gonna to find a way
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: to get to l A. Oh, you gotta find out
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: when you come to New York. You gotta do some research,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: but you have mentors closer than that. You have somebody
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: who's a really well mentally balanced person that you need
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: information from. You have a person who seems to be
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: doing really well with a wife and their children you
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: need information from. Because it's all a balancing act. You
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: can't be successful in your business and while your family
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: sitting over there struggling and in ruins is not going
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: to work. Once you learn the traits of success, it
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: it filters over into every other aspect of life. So
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: you gotta have a balance. You can find these people
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: right here. Don't ask them for money. People want to
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: share and teach and give you information. Everybody needs a mentor.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: You cannot make it without mentorship. You know, there's an
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: incredible saying, and we ain't got to get into why
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: so incredible. But friendship is essential to the soul. You
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: know why friendship is so essential to the soul. I've
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: lost my mother, my father, I've lost my brother, I've
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: lost my best friend. Before you can live your life
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: without your mother, you may have to eventually one day,
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: you can live your life without your father. You may
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: eventually have to do that one day You can live
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: your life without your uncles and your relatives. But you
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: know what, is very very difficult to live your life
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: without a friend. It is very very difficult to live
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: in this world with no friendship. Nowhere. It's man, you got.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: Friendship is essential to the soul. Do not avoid mentoring.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Don't try to do it all by yourself, because nobody
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: gets to the top by yourself. There's no such thing
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: as a self made You've got to have amenity For
