Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Time to Trim the Bureaucrats during this Government Shutdown
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: If you watch the media right now, I think they
- 0:03Speaker 1: think we're all in the feedile position and we don't
- 0:06Speaker 1: know what to do because there's a government shut down. Meanwhile,
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm like, this is awesome, Like let's start firing some people.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Let's get rid of some bureaucrats, let's save some money.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Of course, somebody's gonna freak out that I said that
- 0:17Speaker 1: and take it out of context. They're gonna be that
- 0:19Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson wants people to lose their jobs only if
- 0:22Speaker 1: you suck at your job, Like if you're a partisan
- 0:24Speaker 1: hack in the government and you suck at your job
- 0:26Speaker 1: and we haven't been able to fire you before, like,
- 0:28Speaker 1: let's do it right now. I'm in favor of doging
- 0:31Speaker 1: it up, as they say, in a very very very
- 0:34Speaker 1: big way. But if you look at the media right now,
- 0:37Speaker 1: they're going out there to find little susane, little timmy
- 0:40Speaker 1: who are crying tonight because they were coming to the
- 0:42Speaker 1: US capital.
- 0:44Speaker 2: And it's shut down.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Now.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Of course they're gonna try to blame that shutdown on
- 0:48Speaker 1: Donald Trump and conservatives. We all know this is a
- 0:51Speaker 1: Schumer shutdown. That is what this is. And if you
- 0:55Speaker 1: just want to know how bad the Democrats are they
- 0:57Speaker 1: don't want, like like Syria, people in our government to
- 1:01Speaker 1: get paid during the government shutdown, But damn it, they're
- 1:05Speaker 1: going to get paid. Some lawmakers are actually saying they
- 1:10Speaker 1: are going to send a letter many of them have
- 1:13Speaker 1: to withhold their paychecks during the shutdown. But other lawmakers
- 1:17Speaker 1: are like, no, I ain't doing that. Quote I'm not
- 1:21Speaker 1: wealthy and I have three kids. I would basically be
- 1:24Speaker 1: missing mortgage payments, rent payments, child support. That is what
- 1:28Speaker 1: Senator Rubin Galago had to say, the Democrat from Arizona
- 1:33Speaker 1: to NBC News. So it's not feasible, it's not gonna happen.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So like, yeah, I'll make sure because we're playing politics
- 1:41Speaker 1: at the American Party that other people that maybe have
- 1:44Speaker 1: three kids or have a mortgage payment or rent payment
- 1:47Speaker 1: or child support, they'll go without a paycheck. But I'm
- 1:50Speaker 1: a senator, dammit, and I'm a Democratic center and it's
- 1:54Speaker 1: not feasible for me. It's not going to happen. Well,
- 1:56Speaker 1: where is the same compassion, Senator, for all the average
- 2:02Speaker 1: government workers. Remember, they don't give a crap about you. Now,
- 2:06Speaker 1: there are other members of Congress that have sent the
- 2:09Speaker 1: letters because that's how it works to say don't pay me.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And also, let's style down the crazy for a second.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Everybody is going to get their pay It's just.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Going to be delayed.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It depends on how long Chuck Schumer wants to delay
- 2:24Speaker 1: people getting paid, right or is this And by the way,
- 2:27Speaker 1: I put the tweet out there so you guys can
- 2:29Speaker 1: see it. My good buddy Steve Guess put this tweet out.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I retweeted a moment ago, so you can follow it.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You can send out there, go online at Ben Ferguson
- 2:38Speaker 1: show on X and you can see all of these
- 2:41Speaker 1: lawmakers and just their scumbaggery one oh one, like oh I.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Can't miss a paycheck. I just can't do it.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But let me go back to why this is actually
- 2:50Speaker 1: even happening right now. This is the part that all
- 2:54Speaker 1: of you need to understand, which is like, why is
- 2:56Speaker 1: this a thing?
- 2:57Speaker 2: All right?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Well, let's just start with the basics. Chuck Schumer is
- 3:02Speaker 1: terrified of AOC primary ing him. That is why Chuck
- 3:06Speaker 1: Schumer has shut down the government because if he didn't
- 3:09Speaker 1: shut down the government, he's afraid he's gonna lose his
- 3:11Speaker 1: leadership position and he will be primary. Senator Ted Kruz,
- 3:15Speaker 1: who is one of those in the Senate dealing with this.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Here's what he had to say on his show Verdict
- 3:20Speaker 1: with Ted Cruz podcast.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Listen and Chuck Schumer nearly lost his job because Schumer
- 3:27Speaker 4: allowed the government to be funded several months ago. The
- 3:30Speaker 4: left wing rose up against him. And you want to
- 3:33Speaker 4: understand why we have a shutdown. It's one thing. Schumer
- 3:37Speaker 4: is looking over his left shoulder and he sees aoc
- 3:42Speaker 4: running up behind him, and he is terrified he's gonna
- 3:45Speaker 4: lose his job. So listen, Schumer knows this is not
- 3:49Speaker 4: gonna work. He knows this is failures.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Just pure cover your als politics one oh one by Schumer.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And there it is. That's what it is.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It is cover you'r aas one oh one. That is
- 4:03Speaker 1: why you have these Schumer shut down and that's why
- 4:06Speaker 1: Democrats are like, dude, I got to take my paycheck.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I got too many babies. Defeat they got mortgage and
- 4:10Speaker 1: rent payments. Now the government workers that make less than
- 4:14Speaker 1: the United States senator, screw them, right. I also just
- 4:17Speaker 1: had to bring this up, and I'm not trying to
- 4:18Speaker 1: be mean, but I'm gonna just I'm just gonna just
- 4:20Speaker 1: kind of state the obvious here. If you are a
- 4:23Speaker 1: United States senator and you can't miss a single paycheck,
- 4:27Speaker 1: do we really want you running the country? I mean, senators,
- 4:32Speaker 1: what is the in fact, I'm gonna ask what the
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna ask? This is what I love technology, Hey, Siri,
- 4:38Speaker 1: what does a United States senator make per year?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Wait for it, one hundred.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And seventy four thousand dollars annually? All right, So we
- 4:47Speaker 1: got this guy who's a senator saying, quote, I'm not wealthy,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and I have three kids, and I would basically be
- 4:52Speaker 1: missing mortgage payments, rent payments, child support. So it's not feasible,
- 4:56Speaker 1: not gonna happen, but I will happily shut down the
- 4:58Speaker 1: government be a part of the shut down with Chuck
- 5:00Speaker 1: Schumer because he's afraid of AOC and screw the other
- 5:04Speaker 1: workers who are in the situation. And somehow he wants
- 5:06Speaker 1: me to be sorry for him making one hundred and
- 5:08Speaker 1: seventy four thousand dollars a year. If you are a
- 5:12Speaker 1: United States center and you can't miss one paycheck, do
- 5:17Speaker 1: I really want you? If you're teetering, you're living I mean,
- 5:20Speaker 1: what what Scott? I mean, what the Senator Ruben Gallaga
- 5:24Speaker 1: was saying, is I can't afford to miss a paycheck.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I am living paycheck to paycheck.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Dude.
- 5:30Speaker 1: That is messed up on so many different levels because
- 5:35Speaker 1: you're in charge of the United States government, but you're
- 5:37Speaker 1: living paycheck to paycheck. I thought we were supposed to
- 5:39Speaker 1: send our best and our brightest to do this job.
- 5:43Speaker 1: If I'm making one hundred and seventy four thousand dollars
- 5:45Speaker 1: a year, I assure you I Am not gonna be
- 5:48Speaker 1: a scenario where I can't miss a payment, like my
- 5:52Speaker 1: whole life is screwed in one month, like one hundred
- 5:56Speaker 1: and seventy four thousand dollars. You should have some emergency
- 5:59Speaker 1: funds to quote the great Dave Ramsey, right, you should
- 6:01Speaker 1: have a couple months. And also, let's be clear, if
- 6:05Speaker 1: you're a Democrat and you know that Democrats love shutting
- 6:09Speaker 1: down the government, right.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Like, like I'm.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Being serious, Okay, If you are a Democrat and you
- 6:19Speaker 1: know it's coming, then why didn't you plan ahead for this?
- 6:23Speaker 5: Oh?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Wait, because you don't give a crap about the people
- 6:26Speaker 1: you're hurting. You don't give a crap about the workers
- 6:29Speaker 1: that are actually living paycheck to paycheck, like you don't care.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It is all about you, full stop, plain and simple,
- 6:42Speaker 1: Which brings me back to the Democrats in general. This
- 6:47Speaker 1: is the same party, by the way, that has been obsessed,
- 6:50Speaker 1: right like completely obsessed with this idea that we should never,
- 6:55Speaker 1: under any circumstances shut down the government because that's just
- 6:58Speaker 1: wrong and evil. We have mind tallage after montage after
- 7:01Speaker 1: montage of Democrats who are saying it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna play that for you in a minute. But
- 7:05Speaker 2: here's the other thing.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Listen to Hikeem Jeffries on the House side, he was
- 7:09Speaker 1: asked about cashing their checks while the troops are going
- 7:13Speaker 1: unpaid during the Democratic shutdown. So you're you're halfway around
- 7:17Speaker 1: the world, you're protecting, defending this country. You're not getting paid,
- 7:20Speaker 1: But damn it, the people wearing suits in DC are.
- 7:23Speaker 6: So this is a whole and still case.
- 7:28Speaker 7: Shutdown in sense advice SEMO high members now is a duptum.
- 7:34Speaker 8: Yeah, that's a question that every individual member is going
- 7:37Speaker 8: to have to make on their own, as has always
- 7:39Speaker 8: been the case in the past.
- 7:40Speaker 9: Uh.
- 7:41Speaker 8: First of all, Uh, that question is not even a
- 7:44Speaker 8: ripe one because we're anticipating that this shutdown issue will
- 7:49Speaker 8: be resolved.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I love this right. Well, I'm not gonna answer that question.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I'm not that's something. I'm just I'm
- 7:57Speaker 1: not gonna answer that question. Okay, So we have Democrats
- 8:02Speaker 1: that are holding America hostage. Democratic represented Maxing Dexter, who
- 8:11Speaker 1: voted to shut down the government said this about Democrats today.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I'll just say it again. We did not shut down
- 8:20Speaker 3: the government. The Republicans right.
- 8:22Speaker 2: By the way, yes you did.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You literally voted to shut down the government. Democratic represent
- 8:27Speaker 1: A Maxing Dexter went on NewsNation and just lied to
- 8:29Speaker 1: the American people. I'll play it for you again. She
- 8:32Speaker 1: voted literally to shut down the government.
- 8:36Speaker 10: I'll just say it again.
- 8:37Speaker 3: We did not shut down the government. The Republicans have
- 8:40Speaker 3: not been at the table bringing us into the negotiations.
- 8:44Speaker 3: They need sixty votes in the Senate. So there is
- 8:47Speaker 3: no debate here on who's responsibility.
- 8:52Speaker 1: On who's responsible for shutting down the government. Okay, let's
- 8:56Speaker 1: go to the record. Did you vote to shut down
- 8:58Speaker 1: the government? Represent a Maxie Dexter, Yes, So, then why
- 9:02Speaker 1: did you say that Democrats did not shut down the government.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Then you acknowledge the Senate needs sixty votes to pass
- 9:08Speaker 1: a federal funding bill, which Democrats voted against. It's how
- 9:12Speaker 1: we didn't get the sixty votes. Republicans weren't voting against it.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I think there was one Ram Paul who always votes
- 9:18Speaker 1: against SID at least he's a principal guy. And Democratic
- 9:21Speaker 1: California Representative Peter Aguilar, he went in front of the
- 9:25Speaker 1: media earlier today and here's what he said, again lying,
- 9:29Speaker 1: he believes that you the American people are in favor
- 9:32Speaker 1: of the shutdown.
- 9:33Speaker 8: The American people are focused on this. They support our
- 9:39Speaker 8: efforts to protect their health care funding. The American people.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Hold on a second. The American
- 9:47Speaker 1: people are in favor of this. They support the Democratic shutdown.
- 9:50Speaker 1: What poll are you reading is at the bottom of
- 9:53Speaker 1: a picture of beer? Is it next to some illegal
- 9:56Speaker 1: drugs or fetnyl? I mean old?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Are you in? Oh wait, hold on a second.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Let me go to the New York Times real quick,
- 10:06Speaker 1: because what he just said was the American people are
- 10:09Speaker 1: in favor of this, all right. New York Times seeing
- 10:13Speaker 1: a poll views on whether the Democrats should or should
- 10:17Speaker 1: not shut down the government if their demands are not met.
- 10:20Speaker 1: All respondents, sixty five percent said should not. Only twenty
- 10:24Speaker 1: seven percent of the psychos out there said should. Even
- 10:27Speaker 1: among Democrats, forty three percent of Democrats said they should
- 10:31Speaker 1: not shut down the government. Forty seven percent of Democrats
- 10:35Speaker 1: they should. Of independence, fifty nine percent said they should
- 10:38Speaker 1: not shut down the government. Only thirty two percent said
- 10:41Speaker 1: they should. And then let's go to the Republicans. Ninety
- 10:45Speaker 1: two percent of Republicans said we should not shut down
- 10:50Speaker 1: the government, only five percent said we should. So let
- 10:53Speaker 1: me go back to the liar here, Democratic representive Peter
- 10:56Speaker 1: Agolar lying to you the American people.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yet again.
- 11:00Speaker 11: The American people are are focused on this.
- 11:03Speaker 12: They support our efforts to protect their health care funding.
- 11:08Speaker 1: That's a lie, by the way, you guys aren't supporting
- 11:10Speaker 1: our health care fundings.
- 11:11Speaker 2: You know what was in their demand.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Their demand was, yes, we're going to shut down the
- 11:16Speaker 1: government for illegal immigrants. Democrats blocked the Republicans clean meaning
- 11:22Speaker 1: no add ons continuing resolution that would have kept the
- 11:25Speaker 1: government open at the same exact burn rate of money
- 11:28Speaker 1: as it was yesterday. Instead, Democrats demanded one point five
- 11:32Speaker 1: trillion for their radical agenda that the American people voted
- 11:36Speaker 1: down in the last presidential election that also includes government
- 11:40Speaker 1: funding for illegal immigrants health care. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett said, quote,
- 11:48Speaker 1: the government's officially shut down. Make no mistake. Republicans control
- 11:51Speaker 1: the House, sent in the White House. This is their shutdown.
- 11:53Speaker 2: That's a lot.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You have to have sixty votes in the Senate. There's
- 11:56Speaker 1: not sixty Republicans in the Senate.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You're a liar.
- 11:59Speaker 1: They had every tool to the government choose chaos instead,
- 12:01Speaker 1: the American people are the ones paying the price. Jasmine,
- 12:04Speaker 1: you are a liar. You're a scumbag liar. She knows,
- 12:08Speaker 1: maybe she doesn't. She might actually be this dumb. So
- 12:11Speaker 1: let's just give her a quick history lesson. The Senate
- 12:13Speaker 1: requires sixty votes to pass the funding bill. Maybe Congresswoman
- 12:17Speaker 1: Jasmine Crockett is too stupid and spending too much time
- 12:19Speaker 1: on TikTok and doesn't.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Know that, but now she does.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So here's what's even more interesting, by the way, about
- 12:26Speaker 1: Democrats and just they're lying. So you've got some Democrats
- 12:29Speaker 1: out there like, well, the Republicans chose to do this,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and then there's others that say, well, well, the American
- 12:37Speaker 1: support the Democratic shut down. So that's another spin So
- 12:39Speaker 1: there's actually three kind of stories here. And then there's
- 12:43Speaker 1: this other story Jasmine Crockett saying the Republicans are the
- 12:47Speaker 1: ones that did this, she's an idiot. And then you've
- 12:50Speaker 1: got this weird Democrat who actually is at the airport
- 12:55Speaker 1: putting up a video admitting as a congressman, the Democrats
- 12:59Speaker 1: chose to shut down the government. So my question the
- 13:01Speaker 1: Democrats is like, can you guys at least get your
- 13:03Speaker 1: story right, Like can you don't text each other and
- 13:05Speaker 1: be like, hey, we're all going to go with this.
- 13:07Speaker 6: Returning back to Detroit this morning after the Republicans failed
- 13:12Speaker 6: to show up in the US House, we got to
- 13:16Speaker 6: make sure Americans have the healthcare that they need. And
- 13:19Speaker 6: if that means you got to chuck this government down,
- 13:21Speaker 6: so be it.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so I mean we got to just shut down.
- 13:26Speaker 1: There it means if we got to shut down the government,
- 13:28Speaker 1: so be it. So there's there's a weird congressman, Democratic
- 13:32Speaker 1: New Hampshire Senator Shahean. Here's what she had to say
- 13:36Speaker 1: about the government and the shutdown, and listen to who
- 13:39Speaker 1: she's blaming. So like, none of their stories even match
- 13:42Speaker 1: within their own party.
- 13:43Speaker 12: The reality is the Republicans control all three branches of government.
- 13:48Speaker 12: They control the White House, they control both Houses of Congress,
- 13:51Speaker 12: and many would say they control the Supreme Court. So
- 13:55Speaker 12: I think ultimately people will question why given that they
- 14:00Speaker 12: have not been able to avoid a shutdown.
- 14:03Speaker 2: It takes sixty votes.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That means Republicans are the ones that have to have
- 14:11Speaker 1: Democrats that agree to a cr and then ultimately defunding
- 14:14Speaker 1: the government. You idiot White House Press secretary saying this
- 14:18Speaker 1: today about the government shut down, Listen carefully.
- 14:21Speaker 9: Democrats in Congress have officially shut down the United States government.
- 14:26Speaker 9: House Republicans passed a nonpartisan, clean piece of legislation to
- 14:31Speaker 9: extend current government funding until November twenty first, but nearly
- 14:36Speaker 9: every single Democrat senator voted against this bill. To be clear,
- 14:40Speaker 9: this was the exact same bill that Democrats approved six
- 14:44Speaker 9: short months ago in March, just adjusted for inflation.
- 14:48Speaker 3: This is the same kind.
- 14:49Speaker 9: Of clean funding bill that Democrats passed thirteen separate times
- 14:53Speaker 9: when they held the Jordy during Joe Biden's administration. So
- 14:57Speaker 9: the American people woke up this morning and ask the
- 15:00Speaker 9: obvious question, why is the government shut down right now?
- 15:04Speaker 9: The answer is pure partisan politics. Being played by the
- 15:08Speaker 9: Democrat Party. The Democrats shut down the government because President
- 15:11Speaker 9: Trump and the Republicans will not force American taxpayers to
- 15:15Speaker 9: pay for free health care for illegal aliens. America is
- 15:19Speaker 9: thirty seven trillion dollars in debt. We cannot afford to
- 15:23Speaker 9: provide taxpayer funded free healthcare to illegals who broke the
- 15:26Speaker 9: law to enter our country.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Oh, isn't that interesting? Wow?
- 15:32Speaker 1: So Republicans are not going to force the American tax
- 15:35Speaker 1: payers to pay for free health care for illegal aliens
- 15:39Speaker 1: because we're thirty seven trade in debt and we can't
- 15:42Speaker 1: afford to pay for that free health care for illegals
- 15:44Speaker 1: who broke this country.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Period.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about my friends at
- 15:49Speaker 1: Kirk Elliott Precious Medals. Two days ago, I got my
- 15:54Speaker 1: new order of silver. Now I'm investing in silver right
- 15:57Speaker 1: now because the pricing on it is amazing. On the upside, well,
- 16:01Speaker 1: it's real. I actually have a one hundred ounce silver bar.
- 16:07Speaker 1: It is actually really cool. It's really heavy because it's
- 16:10Speaker 1: one hundred ounces. But I also know that I bought
- 16:13Speaker 1: it at the right price, and I wasn't paying massive
- 16:16Speaker 1: up charges on quote rare or special coins and then
- 16:20Speaker 1: when you go to sell them, you take away all
- 16:23Speaker 1: of your earning potential. Why do they do it this
- 16:25Speaker 1: way at Kurt Elliott because they have transparent pricing up front.
- 16:30Speaker 2: It's very simple.
- 16:31Speaker 1: You pay eight percent when you buy, and here's what
- 16:34Speaker 1: matters to you the most, nothing when you sell. There
- 16:38Speaker 1: are no hidden fees ever with Kurt Elliott Precious Metals.
- 16:43Speaker 1: This is the reason why I recommend them. It's not
- 16:46Speaker 1: just about investing, it's about making sure you get more
- 16:50Speaker 1: for your money. And that is exactly why Kurt Elliott
- 16:53Speaker 1: helps people all the time. Whether it's gold or silver,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you can hold it, be a good steward of it,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you can pass it on future generations, and you can
- 17:02Speaker 1: build wealth with it. It's real, boy, youon never gimmicks,
- 17:06Speaker 1: just investment grade gold and silver, No overpriced coins, no
- 17:11Speaker 1: flashy markups. And it's a company that I love because

- 17:57Speaker 1: can experience real peace now and for generations to come.
- 18:01Speaker 1: KPM dot com slash ben. By the way, let me
- 18:05Speaker 1: just back up for a second. I'm going to back
- 18:07Speaker 1: it up about ten seconds, and I want to play
- 18:10Speaker 1: in its entirety what the White House Press Secretary Kroen
- 18:13Speaker 1: Levit said about the Democratic Democrats shutting down the government.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Where there are Democrats on.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Record elect officials who said that they were shutting down
- 18:21Speaker 1: the government voted to shut down the government, and then
- 18:23Speaker 1: they want to act like, oh, we didn't actually do that,
- 18:25Speaker 1: like I'm sorry, I'm calling bs.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Keep listening.
- 18:28Speaker 9: So the American people woke up this morning and asked
- 18:31Speaker 9: the obvious question, why is the government shut down right now?
- 18:35Speaker 9: The answer is pure partisan politics being played by the
- 18:38Speaker 9: Democrat Party. The Democrats shut down the government because President
- 18:42Speaker 9: Trump and the Republicans will not force American taxpayers to
- 18:46Speaker 9: pay for free health care for illegal aliens America is
- 18:50Speaker 9: thirty seven trillion dollars in debt. We cannot afford to
- 18:53Speaker 9: provide taxpayer funded, free healthcare to illegals who broke the
- 18:57Speaker 9: law to enter our country. To put the US all
- 19:00Speaker 9: into perspective, the Democrats refused to keep the government open
- 19:04Speaker 9: over healthcare to illegal aliens and now now have jeopardized
- 19:08Speaker 9: critical health care programs for American citizens. Instead, the Women,
- 19:12Speaker 9: Infants and Children Program, community health center funding, Medicare, treatment options,
- 19:17Speaker 9: and other health programs are now all at risk because
- 19:21Speaker 9: of the Democrats rejecting the clean cr The most vulnerable
- 19:25Speaker 9: in our country are being punished because the Democrats want
- 19:28Speaker 9: to prioritize illegals over American citizens. And if Democrats actually
- 19:32Speaker 9: cared about health care, they would applaud the actions taken
- 19:36Speaker 9: by President Trump. Just yesterday in the Oval Office, he
- 19:39Speaker 9: took a bold and massively popular action to improve our
- 19:43Speaker 9: health care system. He announced the first agreement with a
- 19:46Speaker 9: major pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, to lower drug costs for Americans.
- 19:51Speaker 9: This is a historical achievement long sought by past Democrat
- 19:55Speaker 9: presidents that only President Trump was able to get done.
- 20:00Speaker 1: So you listen to that, and again she's right about
- 20:03Speaker 1: all of it. Now, what is the media saying about this? Well,
- 20:07Speaker 1: let me take you to Atlanta, CBS News Atlanta. They
- 20:12Speaker 1: want you to cry and feel sorry for the TSA
- 20:15Speaker 1: officers who are just living paycheck to paycheck.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Listen carefully.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Most TSA officers live paycheck to paycheck. The issue comes
- 20:24Speaker 5: in is when I don't receive a paycheck, how am
- 20:26Speaker 5: I supposed to get to work? Where am I going
- 20:29Speaker 5: to get the gas to put in my car to
- 20:30Speaker 5: come to work? Or how do I feed my family?
- 20:33Speaker 5: Or how do I buy diapers.
- 20:35Speaker 9: Aaron Barker is a TSA officer and the president of
- 20:38Speaker 9: AFGE Local five five four, the union that represents TSA officers.
- 20:43Speaker 5: He says that the shutdown lasts longer than.
- 20:45Speaker 4: A few days, travelers will fill the.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Impact without having a paycheck as one of the problems
- 20:52Speaker 5: will arise most TSA.
- 20:54Speaker 1: I mean, you gotta laugh because they do this ad
- 20:58Speaker 1: like somehow to make it seem like I call it
- 21:00Speaker 1: an ad. It's not news. It's an ad for the
- 21:02Speaker 1: Democratic Party. Democratic senators assif An Warnock voted for this,
- 21:09Speaker 1: go look at their votes. So, if you're a TSA
- 21:12Speaker 1: officer in Atlanta at the airport there. You should be angry, Okay,
- 21:18Speaker 1: like you should be furious, Chuck Schumer five hours ago.
- 21:25Speaker 1: It is not radical to say Americans don't deserve to
- 21:27Speaker 1: see their premiums double because of Republicans. By the way,
- 21:31Speaker 1: it's also not radical to say Americans shouldn't pay for
- 21:34Speaker 1: medicaid for illegal immigrants. Local News, again Georgia. Two of
- 21:42Speaker 1: the senators there, Ossif and Warnock, both of them voted
- 21:46Speaker 1: to shut down the government.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Here's what a Georgia veteran said to the local news.
- 21:51Speaker 9: Alonzo Sermons is now a veteran, but he remembers the
- 21:54Speaker 9: fear of being a service member during shutdowns.
- 21:57Speaker 7: It's really a tough time. It's always last minute, which
- 22:00Speaker 7: is the challenge. And not only that, it's impacting not
- 22:03Speaker 7: only just average people, but my fellow veterans who work
- 22:06Speaker 7: out on base. They're impacted by it. And we're so
- 22:08Speaker 7: close to the holidays, and we're talking about people's livelihoods,
- 22:12Speaker 7: they're revenue.
- 22:12Speaker 9: Alonzo Sermons is now a veteran.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sorry, Like this is a Georgia veteran
- 22:18Speaker 1: describing the consequences, and not one but two of the
- 22:21Speaker 1: sentators in Georgia Warnock and Ausif both voted for this shutdown,
- 22:26Speaker 1: which the other Democrats like Gooland second, we didn't shut
- 22:28Speaker 1: on the government.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Yes you did, Yes you did.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Let me also tell you what different states are doing
- 22:36Speaker 1: so you understand how bad it is. All right, you
- 22:40Speaker 1: should find out what's happening in your state where you
- 22:42Speaker 1: are right now, because Rhode Island's medicaid program proudly states
- 22:47Speaker 1: online that undocumented residents are eligible. Yeah, go to the
- 22:52Speaker 1: Rhode Island Medicaid Programs website and it says health insurance
- 22:57Speaker 1: for your family. Then it says medically it helps you
- 23:00Speaker 1: get affordable health care when you need it. You can
- 23:03Speaker 1: enroll any time, but don't wait. Make sure you and
- 23:07Speaker 1: your family stay healthy year round. So who may be eligible?
- 23:11Speaker 1: They have with a big question mark on their website.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Here's what it says, children and teens up to nineteen.
- 23:19Speaker 1: All children are eligible under cover, all kids, regardless of
- 23:25Speaker 1: immigration status. Okay, So that would be illegal immigrants, including
- 23:29Speaker 1: children who are undocumented and DACA recipients. So any illegal
- 23:34Speaker 1: immigrant just come on down in Rhode Island and we're
- 23:37Speaker 1: happy to cover your health care before that. Okay, So
- 23:43Speaker 1: they put this who's eligible their number one question, they
- 23:46Speaker 1: answered Rhode Island is illegal immigrants. Then number two they
- 23:49Speaker 1: put families and children, then pregnant women, then older adults,
- 23:52Speaker 1: and then people with disabilities. So if you want to
- 23:55Speaker 1: know where you are in the pecking order and woke,
- 23:57Speaker 1: Rhode Island, illegal immigrants are their top priority based on
- 24:03Speaker 1: how they're listing those that are eligible. Then it's his
- 24:06Speaker 1: youth aging out of foster care, then US citizens and
- 24:09Speaker 1: certain lawfully resident president immigrants. So if you're a US citizen,
- 24:14Speaker 1: you're like the last one on the list in Rhode Island,
- 24:16Speaker 1: But the first group they want to talk to is
- 24:18Speaker 1: illegal immigrants. So healthcare for legal immigrants is the new
- 24:23Speaker 1: immigrants are eating cats and dogs in Springfield, is what
- 24:27Speaker 1: Sheldon white House said. Senator white House saying, the Republican
- 24:31Speaker 1: playbook is simple, makeup, baseless lies, repeated every chance you get,
- 24:34Speaker 1: hope and pray that everyone blames Democrats. That's why I'm
- 24:38Speaker 1: telling you exactly what is on the website in Rhode Island.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Senator white House, you're a lying scomeback New health insurance
- 24:50Speaker 1: options for undocumented immigrants over sixty five New York State
- 24:57Speaker 1: of Health. There's a website the Senator from New York
- 25:01Speaker 1: shut down the government because the far left wants Americans
- 25:04Speaker 1: to pay for medicaid for illegals. And here's what it
- 25:06Speaker 1: says on their website. Quote starting January one, twenty twenty four,
- 25:12Speaker 1: there's a new option for health insurance available for undocumented
- 25:16Speaker 1: immigrants that would be illegal immigrants over age sixty five.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It's on their website, folks, it is on their website.
- 25:28Speaker 1: The senator from New York. Here's the video he put
- 25:33Speaker 1: out about Washington, d C. And the shutdown and listen
- 25:37Speaker 1: to his lies.
- 25:39Speaker 13: Hey, everybody, I'm still down here in Washington, d C.
- 25:41Speaker 13: The Senate just had a vote which failed, which means
- 25:44Speaker 13: a shutdown at twelve o'clock tonight.
- 25:46Speaker 6: Is very very likely.
- 25:47Speaker 13: And this is going to be very painful for a
- 25:49Speaker 13: lot of people and very difficult. This whole idea of
- 25:52Speaker 13: my way or the highway that the Republicans have been
- 25:54Speaker 13: pushing is not the way to go. We've got to
- 25:56Speaker 13: negotiate to try and keep the government open or get
- 25:59Speaker 13: a reopened, I should say. Number two, we've got to
- 26:01Speaker 13: try and do something to keep the health insurance cost
- 26:04Speaker 13: of people down there about the skyrocket because of the
- 26:07Speaker 13: expiration of these premium text credits. It's going to be very,
- 26:10Speaker 13: very painful and very shocking for a lot of people
- 26:13Speaker 13: all over the country. It's going to affect your health
- 26:15Speaker 13: insurance premiums because more people that get kicked off of
- 26:17Speaker 13: their insurance because they can't afford it makes everybody else's
- 26:20Speaker 13: health insurance more expensive. And the President and the White
- 26:23Speaker 13: House have got to stop these unilateral cuts of this
- 26:26Speaker 13: chaos they're trying to promote and this idea that they're
- 26:29Speaker 13: looking forward to a shutdown because they can do a
- 26:31Speaker 13: lot of more cuts that they wouldn't be able to
- 26:33Speaker 13: do otherwise. I'm very concerned about that. I did a
- 26:36Speaker 13: post about that earlier today. So please everybody stay in touch,
- 26:40Speaker 13: keep track of what's going on, follow what's going on.
- 26:43Speaker 13: Let's work together to solve problems that face the people
- 26:46Speaker 13: in the United States of America.
- 26:48Speaker 1: This guy just put this video out is the guy
- 26:51Speaker 1: who just should have said, hey, I just left the
- 26:53Speaker 1: Senate floor. I voted to shut down the government, and
- 26:58Speaker 1: I voted to shut down the government because I was
- 27:00Speaker 1: angry that we weren't giving illegal immigrants healthcare. The Schumer
- 27:07Speaker 1: shut down is a disaster. There's actually absolutely no point
- 27:13Speaker 1: in the government being shut down right now. Now, they
- 27:17Speaker 1: shut down the government because of their demands. What were
- 27:19Speaker 1: the Democrats demands? They wanted to add one point five
- 27:26Speaker 1: trillion dollars to the national debt just to fund the
- 27:32Speaker 1: government for three months. By the way, that's insane, it's
- 27:35Speaker 1: not sustainable. And it was for every port barrel crazy
- 27:38Speaker 1: project like transition surgeries being covered and illegal immigrants getting healthcare.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And they wanted you to spend one point five trillion
- 27:46Speaker 1: of your tax dollars in a ninety day period to
- 27:50Speaker 1: keep the government open. Government shut down, by the way,
- 27:55Speaker 1: is pure political theater.
- 27:57Speaker 2: We know this.
- 27:59Speaker 1: We know what the media every single time. We know
- 28:02Speaker 1: what the media does, and they don't tell you the
- 28:04Speaker 1: full story and they lie to you. And there was
- 28:08Speaker 1: no real negotiations here. This was clearly pre planned. And
- 28:12Speaker 1: even the Democrats can't decide did they do it did
- 28:15Speaker 1: they not do it? Because many Democrats are now furious.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Were the Indian Indian born representative for admitting that they
- 28:24Speaker 1: shut down the government. I played it earlier, I'll play
- 28:28Speaker 1: it again because it's important. I don't think he realized
- 28:31Speaker 1: what a dumba was being. But he told the truth.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Returning back to Detroit this morning after the Republicans failed
- 28:40Speaker 6: to show up in the US House. We got to
- 28:43Speaker 6: make sure Americans have the healthcare that they need. And
- 28:46Speaker 6: if that means you got to chuck this government down,
- 28:49Speaker 6: so be it.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I mean, it's amazing. So they're telling you they did it.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Now they're saying that they didn't do it. And now
- 28:57Speaker 1: they're trying to say that it's some not their fault,
- 29:02Speaker 1: that they were being insane, trying to relitigate what the
- 29:05Speaker 1: American people just voted on.
- 29:08Speaker 2: What did the American people vote on?
- 29:10Speaker 1: They voted on Donald Trump cutting the spinning of government
- 29:15Speaker 1: number one. They voted to stop allowing for open borders.
- 29:20Speaker 1: They voted to stop the insanity with illegal immigrants being
- 29:23Speaker 1: treated better than American citizens. And only forty seven percent
- 29:29Speaker 1: of even Democrats support a shutdown over their party's demands.
- 29:32Speaker 1: So why did Schumer do it? It was one reason.
- 29:36Speaker 1: It was one reason only. They decided to shut it
- 29:41Speaker 1: down because Chuck Schumer was afraid of the Marxist communists
- 29:45Speaker 1: and socialists in his party, and AOC is someone he
- 29:51Speaker 1: is terrified of, absolutely terrified to be around, because he's
- 29:58Speaker 1: afraid that she's going to primary, so he's had to
- 30:00Speaker 1: show I can be crazy, interrational and insane too. Jade
- 30:07Speaker 1: Vance at the White House saying this.
- 30:11Speaker 2: That's a lot, Matt Boyle.
- 30:14Speaker 11: President, There's two key Democrat lives I would like you
- 30:17Speaker 11: to get you on to see if you can address.
- 30:20Speaker 11: The first is is that you're seeing a number of
- 30:22Speaker 11: top Democrat leaders from Kamala Harris and Chuck Schumer to
- 30:24Speaker 11: the King Jeffries, claim that it is a Republican shutdown
- 30:27Speaker 11: caused by Trump. The second days is that they're out
- 30:30Speaker 11: there now claiming that they don't want to give healthget
- 30:34Speaker 11: to illegal aliens. Can you address both of those last
- 30:37Speaker 11: from the Democrat Party.
- 30:38Speaker 10: Yeah, So on the point that I say Republican shutdown, look,
- 30:41Speaker 10: it's obviously a Democratic shut down. Just look at the
- 30:43Speaker 10: vote totals in the House, look at the vote totals
- 30:45Speaker 10: in the Senate, and look at the President of the
- 30:46Speaker 10: United States own action and conduct throughout this crisis. Nearly
- 30:51Speaker 10: every single House Republican voted to open the government, Matt.
- 30:54Speaker 10: Nearly every single Senate Republican voted to open the government
- 30:58Speaker 10: last night, and even to their credit, a few moderate
- 31:01Speaker 10: Democrats voted to open the government. That's not a Republican
- 31:04Speaker 10: shut down. When nearly every single Senate Democrat votes to
- 31:07Speaker 10: shut it down and every Republican voted to open it up,
- 31:10Speaker 10: it's just obviously not true. Now, you can disagree about
- 31:13Speaker 10: a number of things, but you can't disagree about the
- 31:16Speaker 10: obvious fact that Republicans voted to open the government. The
- 31:19Speaker 10: President stands ready to sign that opening of the government.
- 31:21Speaker 10: We just need a few more Democrats to join us
- 31:24Speaker 10: in that effort to open the government. Your final question
- 31:26Speaker 10: about illegal alien benefits, Look, the text is very clear
- 31:30Speaker 10: and I even saw I think it was George Stefanopvoulis
- 31:32Speaker 10: and an interview with Mike Johnson did a fact check
- 31:35Speaker 10: that was totally rooted in baseless claims. It was basically
- 31:38Speaker 10: Democrat propaganda. If you look at the legislative text that
- 31:42Speaker 10: they gave us, they tried to turn on two separate
- 31:45Speaker 10: provisions that would give health care benefits to illegal aliens.
- 31:49Speaker 10: Number one, if you're an American citizens, you've been to
- 31:51Speaker 10: a hospital in the last few years, you probably noticed
- 31:53Speaker 10: that wait times are especially large, and very often somebody
- 31:57Speaker 10: who's there in the emergency room waiting is an illegal alien,
- 32:00Speaker 10: and very often a person who can't even speak English.
- 32:02Speaker 10: Why do those people get health care benefits at hospitals
- 32:06Speaker 10: paid for by American citizens. The answer is a decision
- 32:10Speaker 10: made by the Biden administration that the Trump administration, working
- 32:13Speaker 10: with Congressional Republicans, undid we turned off that money spigot
- 32:17Speaker 10: to health care funding for illegal aliens. The Democrats, in
- 32:19Speaker 10: their legislative texts, want to turn it back on. That's
- 32:22Speaker 10: one thing. The second thing, Matt is we all know
- 32:25Speaker 10: that there are various ways in which the Biden administration
- 32:30Speaker 10: waved away illegal immigration status. They gave paroleees, they gave
- 32:33Speaker 10: asylum claims to people who were really claiming asylum, and
- 32:37Speaker 10: when they waived the magic want of amnesty, giving millions
- 32:41Speaker 10: of people legal status even though they were in the
- 32:44Speaker 10: country illegally, they also gave those people access to health
- 32:47Speaker 10: care benefits. So what the Democrats are engaging in is
- 32:50Speaker 10: a slide of hand. They're saying, no, no, no, those weren't
- 32:53Speaker 10: illegal aliens who were getting health care benefits, even though everybody,
- 32:57Speaker 10: excuse me, knows they were in the country illegally. It's
- 33:00Speaker 10: a lie told by the Democrats that they're not trying
- 33:02Speaker 10: to give health care benefits to illegal aliens. It's a
- 33:05Speaker 10: lie that is obviously untrue if you just look at
- 33:08Speaker 10: the text that they gave us, and all you have
- 33:10Speaker 10: to do is understand that this is about who benefits.
- 33:14Speaker 10: We think the American people's government ought to benefit American citizens.
- 33:18Speaker 10: The Democrats are willing to shut it down to benefit
- 33:20Speaker 10: of legal aliens. The contrast couldn't be more clear.
- 33:22Speaker 13: There.
- 33:22Speaker 1: It is the Vice President of United States of America
- 33:27Speaker 1: preaching truth on this government shut down. He is totally
- 33:31Speaker 1: correcting what he said there, one thousand percent accurate. And
- 33:36Speaker 1: so the Democrats they're now in a bad spot. The
- 33:40Speaker 1: American people are against this. How a lot of the
- 33:44Speaker 1: people in the Democratic Party are against it. Independents are
- 33:50Speaker 1: overwhelmingly against it. When you've lost forty plus percent of
- 33:55Speaker 1: your own party before you shut it down, I go
- 33:59Speaker 1: back the numbers New York Times poll, sixty five percent
- 34:03Speaker 1: of Americans say don't shut down the government. Only twenty
- 34:06Speaker 1: seven percent say yes. Forty three percent of Democrats say
- 34:09Speaker 1: don't shut it down, fifty nine percent of independence and
- 34:13Speaker 1: ninety two percent of Republicans say don't shut it down.
- 34:16Speaker 1: This is what being held hostage looks like. The Democratic
- 34:19Speaker 1: Party doesn't care about Americans. They care about illegal immigrants.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Don't forget Share this podcast wherever you can with your
- 34:26Speaker 1: family and your friends, and I'll see you back here
- 34:28Speaker 1: tomorrow
