- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now
- 2:08Speaker 1: one it only Steve Harvey got a ready of show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Okay today you know this week I've just been on it,
- 2:14Speaker 1: so today is no different what I'm trying to do.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I've just reinvigorated myself. I'm more determined
- 2:24Speaker 1: to share the principles of success. I'm more determined to
- 2:29Speaker 1: help and guide and teach as many people as I
- 2:33Speaker 1: can the things that I've learned. And I mean, man,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I've been through it. I have really been through it.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I kid you not. You know. I used to say, okay, god,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you know, why is all this happening to me? But
- 2:44Speaker 1: as I've gotten older, I understand that was the ingredients.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I needed the ingredients to be this cake. I needed
- 2:53Speaker 1: all those ingredients stirred up. I need all of that
- 2:57Speaker 1: different flavors, the stuff that I didn't think tastes so good.
- 3:01Speaker 1: All that stuff had to come into the bowl in
- 3:03Speaker 1: order for me to get to where I am today.
- 3:06Speaker 1: As much as I did not like the taste of
- 3:10Speaker 1: the ingredients, little did I know, God was making this cake,
- 3:14Speaker 1: not me. But what he did was and you've heard
- 3:17Speaker 1: you the old saying God could turn lemons into lemonade.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Well that's what he was doing now. At the time,
- 3:26Speaker 1: it all had a little funky lemonade lemony flavor to it,
- 3:31Speaker 1: with some other stuff in it too. I didn't care
- 3:34Speaker 1: for it. But little did I know, Little did I
- 3:37Speaker 1: know that I needed everything that happened to me to
- 3:40Speaker 1: happen to me in the exact order that had happened,
- 3:43Speaker 1: in the exact array of things that happened, for me
- 3:46Speaker 1: to have a knowledge I have today, the experience, the attitude.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But so I could turn around and share that information. Okay,
- 3:58Speaker 1: got that out the way. I learned this. This is
- 4:02Speaker 1: what I want to give to you today. I want
- 4:05Speaker 1: you to understand something that discipline determines your destiny, not
- 4:11Speaker 1: your desire. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire. You've
- 4:18Speaker 1: heard me say this how many times on the show. Okay,
- 4:20Speaker 1: here we go against Eve. I got it. Faith without
- 4:24Speaker 1: works is dead. But let me tell you something. To
- 4:28Speaker 1: be a hard worker, you got to be disciplined. That's
- 4:31Speaker 1: one of the hardest lessons I'm trying to get through
- 4:33Speaker 1: to my sons that an undisciplined man is headed to
- 4:37Speaker 1: a life of justice. I can't even tell you, man,
- 4:41Speaker 1: you've gonna throw yourself down a cliff if you're not
- 4:44Speaker 1: a young man or a man that possesses discipline. Because
- 4:48Speaker 1: they got something for undisciplined people. They got some street
- 4:52Speaker 1: laws for undisciplined people, and they got some federal laws
- 4:56Speaker 1: and state laws for undisciplined people. That's why them signs
- 5:01Speaker 1: is outside on the freeway, We're gonna let you go fast.
- 5:04Speaker 1: But seventy is the limit. Seventy fast enough, really, really,
- 5:09Speaker 1: if you're disciplined enough of a person to leave your
- 5:12Speaker 1: house at the time you're supposed to leave your house,
- 5:15Speaker 1: seventy miles per hour is absolutely enough. But if you're
- 5:19Speaker 1: an undisciplined person, if you don't have the wherewithal to
- 5:23Speaker 1: leave your house on time, to make to get ready
- 5:27Speaker 1: to go where you want to go, see the desires
- 5:30Speaker 1: where you want to go. The discipline is how you
- 5:33Speaker 1: get there. You know, you understand. You can want to
- 5:37Speaker 1: go to see your family in California all you want,
- 5:40Speaker 1: but the flight leaves at one to eighteen. You leave
- 5:44Speaker 1: your house at twelve thirty. They told you you must
- 5:48Speaker 1: check in one hour before your flight. Now, if you
- 5:52Speaker 1: ain't got the discipline to get to the airport to
- 5:55Speaker 1: check in one hour before your flight, leaving your house
- 5:58Speaker 1: forty five minutes before the flight departs, what you think
- 6:01Speaker 1: gonna happen? Your desire to go see your family in
- 6:06Speaker 1: la is going to be thwarted because you lack the
- 6:10Speaker 1: discipline to prepare yourself and get yourself ready to do
- 6:14Speaker 1: the things that you have to do to make your
- 6:16Speaker 1: desires come true. I'm telling you discipline determines your destiny,
- 6:21Speaker 1: not your desire. You can write down a list of
- 6:24Speaker 1: stuff you want to do all day, but if you
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't produce and show the discipline necessary to get there,
- 6:30Speaker 1: what you think gonna happen? Huh? Okay? I want to
- 6:36Speaker 1: be rich? Okay, I want to make four hundred thousand
- 6:40Speaker 1: a year. Okay, I want to be the best player
- 6:44Speaker 1: that there is. Okay, but you don't want to practice.
- 6:48Speaker 1: See the cat that's disciplined enough to show up at practice,
- 6:51Speaker 1: the shooting jumpers when everybody gone home, that's the guy
- 6:54Speaker 1: that's gonna be the best. The guy that puts us
- 6:57Speaker 1: and that's never late for practice. The guy that's ready
- 7:00Speaker 1: to playbook, that's the guy that's gonna make it. That's
- 7:03Speaker 1: the guy that's gonna make not the guy that's talking crack,
- 7:06Speaker 1: I stalking that smack. I'm gonna make the Pro Bowl.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna make the All Star Team. I'm gonna be
- 7:10Speaker 1: All American. That's that's just what you're saying. Hey, you know,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you just say a lot of stuff. But discipline determines
- 7:21Speaker 1: your destiny, not your desire. So now let's talk about
- 7:25Speaker 1: this discipline. What is that really, Steve, that's your work ethic,
- 7:30Speaker 1: that's your hunger, that's that's your will that that's what
- 7:36Speaker 1: you do. That's how hard you're willing to demonstrate. See
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's a live demonstration. Now, discipline is how hard you're
- 7:47Speaker 1: willing to demonstrate. The Attributes and the traits to be
- 7:55Speaker 1: what you want to be. Did you hear me? It
- 8:00Speaker 1: is your willingness to conduct yourself in a manner that
- 8:05Speaker 1: is above and beyond what they what they say is necessary. Okay,
- 8:11Speaker 1: let me see if I can come up with an
- 8:12Speaker 1: example for that. So I was watching the NFL Combines
- 8:16Speaker 1: on TV. Now, this is a good example right here. Now.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You can want to be in the NFL all you want,
- 8:23Speaker 1: but they got this thing called the NFL Combines where
- 8:26Speaker 1: they bring in some of the top players at every
- 8:29Speaker 1: position to come in and they're gonna run a forty
- 8:32Speaker 1: yard dash, They're gonna do a standing broad jump, they're
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna do a standing vertical leap. They're gonna do drills,
- 8:42Speaker 1: running drills, cutting drills. They can determine if a linebacker
- 8:47Speaker 1: got stiff hips by making him back pedal, point him
- 8:50Speaker 1: in one direction, and throw the football in another direction.
- 8:53Speaker 1: How does he turn his body? Now you can say
- 8:56Speaker 1: you can tell everybody at your college you want to
- 8:58Speaker 1: play pro football. You tell everybody your high school, you
- 9:00Speaker 1: tell them in Peewee you won't play pro football. But
- 9:03Speaker 1: they got tests for you though. It's called the Combines.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Now you get out here and you have a bad
- 9:08Speaker 1: combine day. Ain't nobody trying to hear that. See, let
- 9:13Speaker 1: me tell you how excuses don't work with people when
- 9:15Speaker 1: they just trying to get when they're trying to win.
- 9:17Speaker 1: In the NFL, the fact that you had a bad
- 9:20Speaker 1: day at the combine and you don't run your best
- 9:23Speaker 1: forties and you keep telling them you could do better,
- 9:25Speaker 1: they don't want to hear that, because see, what ain't
- 9:27Speaker 1: nobody gonna pay you for is to play on Sunday.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And that's one of your bad days. Now, were paying
- 9:35Speaker 1: you to play on Sundays, But because you keep having
- 9:38Speaker 1: these bad days, because you ain't discipline enough to put
- 9:42Speaker 1: in the work to make sure that your maximum can
- 9:45Speaker 1: be put can be called upon at any time. Now
- 9:49Speaker 1: you had to combine with some slow times that go
- 9:52Speaker 1: on your record. You had to combine you don't jump
- 9:55Speaker 1: as high as you did when you was at the
- 9:57Speaker 1: gym class. Well, hold up, man, this is day now
- 10:01Speaker 1: in the NFL. Sunday is show day. What they can't
- 10:04Speaker 1: run the risk of is paying you your money and
- 10:07Speaker 1: your bad day happen to be on Sundays after we
- 10:10Speaker 1: didn't cut your check. No, no, no, we're looking for
- 10:13Speaker 1: people who limit them bad days, who got the discipline
- 10:16Speaker 1: to work hard, to make an effort for it. You
- 10:19Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying to your folks. Please understand this
- 10:22Speaker 1: discipline determines your destiny, not your desire. You can, you
- 10:28Speaker 1: can want it all you want. But if you ain't working,
- 10:31Speaker 1: if you ain't grinding, if you ain't greeting your teeth,
- 10:35Speaker 1: if you ain't hurting, if you ain't sweating real bad,
- 10:38Speaker 1: if you always somewhere got to chill, you got to
- 10:42Speaker 1: have a cold, one, you got to smoke one, you always,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you gotta do all them. Things. Can't tell you something
- 10:49Speaker 1: you ain't gonna make it. Discipline determines your destiny, not
- 10:53Speaker 1: your desire. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, might have you
- 11:01Speaker 1: undivided attention. Please, this is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Now listen, folks. Um, I don't know what to tell
- 11:08Speaker 1: you about today, but the world crazy. So I figured
- 11:12Speaker 1: the best way to offset this crazy world. You just
- 11:16Speaker 1: act like you crazy up because it ain't gonna change.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Politics is crazy, everybody crazy? Why not us? This is

- 16:06Speaker 1: who it was. The kids was in the day flow lad,
- 16:10Speaker 1: here's you know, the kids have a good time. You
- 16:15Speaker 1: can see the Christians tightened up a little bit. You know.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I'm scale of one to ted. All right, what level
- 16:20Speaker 1: Christian you on? Scale? Going to ted five? I could
- 16:25Speaker 1: turn any moment by six point five. Oh that's nice,
- 16:32Speaker 1: right down. Yeah, you were where you were. I think

- 17:14Speaker 1: baby Christians, and then you grow and we all fall short. Yeah,
- 17:19Speaker 1: everybody falls short. I heard the minister say this. If
- 17:24Speaker 1: you're on the boat. Three Christians on the boat and
- 17:26Speaker 1: christ is on shore, and first Christian dive in the
- 17:30Speaker 1: water and he swim a hundred yards and he's sink
- 17:36Speaker 1: and he drowned. The next Christian dive in the water,
- 17:39Speaker 1: he swims five hundred yards, he's sink and he drowned.
- 17:43Speaker 1: The last Christian get in the water and he swim,
- 17:47Speaker 1: he swim five feet from shore. He sink and he's
- 17:52Speaker 1: and he drowned. Who the better Christian? Uh? Another one?
- 17:58Speaker 1: I mean they're all yeah, I think I want to
- 18:01Speaker 1: come shorter tol Yeah, right, see you all gonna come
- 18:06Speaker 1: right nobody. You ain't feeling to make it. Yeah, so
- 18:10Speaker 1: now you get it. Hit on, I'm better Christian. I
- 18:12Speaker 1: swear you're dead. Yeah, well, I swear five you died, right,
- 18:17Speaker 1: I got all the way to you died, though, But
- 18:20Speaker 1: two five, two five, I stay on the boat. Ain'tn't
- 18:25Speaker 1: need me die two five. As soon as I dive
- 18:30Speaker 1: off the boat, I gotta get right back here. Okay,
- 18:33Speaker 1: So back to Disney's and what happened now? Disneyama, you
- 18:39Speaker 1: said you almost cuss. That's where we were trying to
- 18:41Speaker 1: get at, but you didn't try, not try. I said, punking,
- 18:44Speaker 1: and I called him so punk And then I tried
- 18:47Speaker 1: to turn it into so funking heads anybody. I tried
- 18:53Speaker 1: to turn it into a kidid joke. All them kids
- 18:55Speaker 1: just on the floe laughing. Yeah, them kids just on
- 18:59Speaker 1: the floor. Thank you Jesus. Did you play some golfer? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: I played golf. Oh you know, we did our first
- 19:10Speaker 1: We have a tournament called the knick Knack and uh
- 19:13Speaker 1: normally would have me yeah, yeah, and me too, and
- 19:19Speaker 1: I don't get scared. Yeah, it's it's just it's name
- 19:25Speaker 1: of our golf tournament, nick Nack. Yeah, but it was
- 19:29Speaker 1: just the way you said it. Yeah, and usually me
- 19:32Speaker 1: Blue Brandon and Calhoun. But you know, my best friend
- 19:35Speaker 1: Calhoun passed, so we played the first time without him. Oh,
- 19:39Speaker 1: we took our hats off for him. We took our
- 19:42Speaker 1: picture with our arms round each other, but the space
- 19:45Speaker 1: between us where calhouna normally stood. Yeah, and coming up
- 19:49Speaker 1: this May, I'm throwing my first golf tournament. It would
- 19:52Speaker 1: be the Great Calhoun Memorial Golf Tournament. And yeah, that's
- 19:59Speaker 1: my man, that's my man. So you know, we played
- 20:02Speaker 1: out first one and I won. So you know, oh, okay,
- 20:07Speaker 1: all right, you humbling, yeah, humbling. You did say no
- 20:12Speaker 1: because when you lose, everybody had to go in there
- 20:15Speaker 1: with the winner to the pro shop and he buy
- 20:17Speaker 1: whatever you want, get whatever you want out the shot
- 20:19Speaker 1: which you get. I got some shirts, a couple of
- 20:22Speaker 1: new Hassle flip flops. M You know, they can't all
- 20:25Speaker 1: get what you lost. Sounds like you hit him over
- 20:29Speaker 1: the head a little bit. Hey dog, they got you,
- 20:32Speaker 1: Big Blue dog, Yeah, old dog. Oh Big Blue can
- 20:35Speaker 1: out drive me now? Oh, hey dogs. Sometimes Big Blue
- 20:38Speaker 1: twenty thirty yards in front of him, then er nine
- 20:42Speaker 1: and then I get one out there a little further
- 20:43Speaker 1: than him. He got the miss hit though, Yeah, yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 1: but that ain't the game. You know, the next shot,
- 20:51Speaker 1: we're going for the green on the faux pas the
- 20:54Speaker 1: You know, if I'm off to the side of the green,
- 20:56Speaker 1: I don't make a lot of greens in regulation. But
- 20:59Speaker 1: if I get off, decide to green my chipping and
- 21:01Speaker 1: putting good Blue Blue could possibly three put five times around.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I'm not going three put Some got to go really
- 21:11Speaker 1: bad for me to three put a three put it
- 21:15Speaker 1: once today? Are you enjoying yourself? You're having a good time, girl, Girl,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I'm down here. I'm having such a good time. You know,
- 21:24Speaker 1: it's just nice down here. You know, we stay in
- 21:26Speaker 1: a different hotel when we come down here. Uh huh,
- 21:29Speaker 1: you know. Okay, it's on the Disney property, but it's
- 21:33Speaker 1: set aside. Okay, what's the kids to still here? Ball?
- 21:38Speaker 1: All right, look it is Monday. You're not gonna say it, right,
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's Monday. Yesterday was Sunday, of course, so get ready
- 21:47Speaker 1: for church complaints with But can I tell you something else? What? Well,
- 21:50Speaker 1: I'll tell you who we come back, Reverend Motown Deacon
- 21:52Speaker 1: Death Jam up next right after this you're listening, coming
- 21:59Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour and entertainment news.
- 22:02Speaker 1: We're gonna tell you about the twenty nineteen Sand and
- 22:05Speaker 1: Soul Festival. Yes, yes, yes, that is coming right now.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Though it is Monday. Reverend Motown, dickon Death Jam in
- 22:15Speaker 1: the building with today's church comes place. Let's go well
- 22:19Speaker 1: when we get the music. Well, all right, hello, Danny,
- 22:26Speaker 1: we we wait, we contemplate, we manipulate custom, me jowlry
- 22:41Speaker 1: what and hold the place until we hear music. We
- 22:50Speaker 1: are here today, gavel yeah, amongst ourselves and others as
- 22:58Speaker 1: well to hear him. Now, what complaints this church has?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Deacon Death jail? Let us begin, all right, pastor, we
- 23:11Speaker 1: have an issue here Crowbar Davis. Crowbar Davis is out
- 23:16Speaker 1: of jail after fifteen years. His mother, sister Maddie Byrd,
- 23:19Speaker 1: Davis says it's still in his system. Son. When as
- 23:24Speaker 1: he got home he crowbar the screen door and the
- 23:27Speaker 1: refrigerator opened, which was already both unlocked. He says he's
- 23:33Speaker 1: coming to church this coming Sunday. We do better about
- 23:36Speaker 1: this taking the doors off before he get hit. Well,
- 23:42Speaker 1: let me be clear back, if he pairs up one
- 23:50Speaker 1: of these doors on this church, crowball is just gonna
- 23:57Speaker 1: be ball, as in back behind balls, because I will
- 24:03Speaker 1: have his ass aarrested. Wow, turning up this here church
- 24:10Speaker 1: hard as we've been working. We ain't got that many
- 24:12Speaker 1: members trying to pimp. I'm excuse me, trying to get
- 24:16Speaker 1: about it. Get this money you're talking to sister Matt
- 24:23Speaker 1: it bird just talk to about the ball. It's it's
- 24:25Speaker 1: we don't want to sing him back after being in
- 24:27Speaker 1: their fifteen years back. But he didn't pick up a
- 24:31Speaker 1: trade while he was in there. I don't know. He
- 24:39Speaker 1: don't know how to make bread. He didn't take in
- 24:44Speaker 1: front of you. He can't saying the car down. He
- 24:48Speaker 1: can't be no jail. How lawyer were he there doing?
- 24:52Speaker 1: He knows how to make shanks of it? Didn't they
- 24:54Speaker 1: passed it? He just didn't get a gd I'm not
- 24:58Speaker 1: quite chilling. Hmmm, I don't know that. No, well, let's
- 25:04Speaker 1: send it back so we can get into progress. Nick
- 25:09Speaker 1: will work on it. I will, I will work on it.
- 25:12Speaker 1: We have another issue. Let's move right along. We have
- 25:15Speaker 1: a dying witch past his sister, Leona Hayes, who is
- 25:19Speaker 1: blind and eighty two, wants to sow her wild oats
- 25:26Speaker 1: one more time before she leaves him. She's asking that
- 25:30Speaker 1: to grant her one last witch and send her nice
- 25:33Speaker 1: thirty are farted, some year old buck. The men are
- 25:38Speaker 1: calling her are shelly and refused to participate. Well, she's
- 25:47Speaker 1: eighty two in shield blood. Yeah, we can find a book, oh, Kenny,
- 25:54Speaker 1: when she won't when she wants, but we can get
- 25:57Speaker 1: the book for well here to check. No, nobody has
- 26:01Speaker 1: stepped forward. That's because you all are not listening to
- 26:04Speaker 1: the request. She said a book. No, I know the
- 26:12Speaker 1: police that brings in raindeers every year for the Senate
- 26:16Speaker 1: claus to get it down at the mall. Let's just
- 26:21Speaker 1: get them books together, pull them up to a slate
- 26:23Speaker 1: and give them one last ride. She ain't gonna know.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I don't think that's what Well, that's how I interpreted
- 26:32Speaker 1: let's move on, all right, Where we got a problem.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Snagger tooth Richard, as you know us, whistled precious Lord
- 26:43Speaker 1: this past Sunday and everybody on the front road got
- 26:47Speaker 1: all the clothes stained, and they are asking for the
- 26:49Speaker 1: church to pay the bill. Bro, you don't. I don't
- 26:53Speaker 1: know how snagger too, Richard. You're gonna have to talk
- 26:56Speaker 1: to him. But the bill is high. It was about
- 26:58Speaker 1: eight people that got their clothes hour from him whistling
- 27:03Speaker 1: precious Lord. Who's that? Is that? Him? That Richard Riche
- 27:14Speaker 1: Richard Richart. He focused Richet. I know you, Richet, feel
- 27:30Speaker 1: like Gale King was saying Richet, Robert Robert, Yo, Wow,
- 27:43Speaker 1: he won't what now pick your pick your part back up.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry, so sorry, I lost character. Oh and I
- 28:01Speaker 1: I was driving. I couldn't whizzle whistle good. I got
- 28:07Speaker 1: these I got salt on my lips from eat knees
- 28:10Speaker 1: salted almonds, and they got a little washab it dust
- 28:15Speaker 1: on them and it just swelled them. Can't I can't
- 28:20Speaker 1: get the holding them to stay open. Lord, So I
- 28:25Speaker 1: got a cloth clothed lip whistle Wow. All right? Did
- 28:33Speaker 1: you have any respond to about slack to the Richet.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Let's just move on. Blacker talk is wonderful. We're gonna
- 28:39Speaker 1: have it. Whistle all the Christmas sales Carl this year.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Move on that boy ain't got two vinted heads, all right?
- 28:49Speaker 1: I said, they are complaining about the chicken dinners that
- 28:52Speaker 1: were sold yesterday after church over wit. They say that
- 28:55Speaker 1: they was fried in fish greens and some of the
- 28:58Speaker 1: members I complaining and want their money back to me
- 29:00Speaker 1: would get some very good catfish chicken, but I don't.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I'm not the one complaining. You're gonna have to decide
- 29:06Speaker 1: if you want to give them their money back. Well,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I'm with the members on this because I want my
- 29:11Speaker 1: damn money back. I had the fish that taste jet,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I had the chicken take just like fish. Who wants
- 29:19Speaker 1: a catfish flavored way? A catfish flavor? Hello? I said,
- 29:30Speaker 1: who wants a catfish flavored way? That? It ain't end up?
- 29:33Speaker 1: That was a question you have. You have dropped out
- 29:37Speaker 1: staff of time doing this whole excourgion. Are you all right?
- 29:42Speaker 1: He Let's say that dude damn near loss le brawl

- 29:54Speaker 1: just all held with you this is a jag harden

- 34:19Speaker 1: on the team standing soul. All right, Steve, Time for
- 34:24Speaker 1: some headlines. Let's go, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Trip,
- 34:28Speaker 1: thanks folks, good morning everybody. Attorney General William Barr has
- 34:31Speaker 1: now released his summary of that long way to report
- 34:33Speaker 1: on Donald Trump's presidential campaign by special counsel Robert Muller. However,
- 34:37Speaker 1: a summary of it may not be enough. In a
- 34:40Speaker 1: four page letter, Attorney General Barr conclusive there was no
- 34:43Speaker 1: collusion between the Russian the Russians, and Trump or any
- 34:47Speaker 1: of Trump's people. However, the question of obstruction of justice,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Barr says, while the president did not commit a crime,
- 34:53Speaker 1: he's not exonerated. Of course, President Trump sees things differently.
- 34:56Speaker 1: There was no collusion with Russia, there was no obstruction
- 35:01Speaker 1: and none whatsoever, and it was a complete and total exoneration.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Of course, that was not exactly right, but bars undergrowing
- 35:12Speaker 1: bipartisan pressure anyway to make that full report on Russian
- 35:15Speaker 1: interference in the twenty sixteen election public, like from ranking
- 35:19Speaker 1: congressional lead to Haakim Jeffries, who spoke about it on
- 35:21Speaker 1: CBS's face to nation. We don't want to say simply
- 35:24Speaker 1: crib notes. We don't want to see an outline. We
- 35:26Speaker 1: don't want to see an executive summary. We need to
- 35:29Speaker 1: see everything so that the American people can draw conclusions
- 35:34Speaker 1: on their own. Parts of the Midwest are beginning to
- 35:37Speaker 1: dry up, allowing residents to clean up and rebuild after
- 35:39Speaker 1: melting snow and torrential rainstorms left cities and towns along
- 35:42Speaker 1: the Missouri River under water. Papa John's Pizza is trying
- 35:47Speaker 1: something new to pull up its sales. Papa John's popularity
- 35:50Speaker 1: began to tank, especially with minorities, after its co founder,
- 35:53Speaker 1: John Schnatter first warned that if President Obama was reelected,
- 35:57Speaker 1: he'd be forced to fire all his black employees, and
- 36:00Speaker 1: later on a few months later, Snada later claimed that
- 36:02Speaker 1: his company wasn't doing well because it was linked to
- 36:05Speaker 1: the NFL and that the fans didn't like Colin Kaepernick
- 36:08Speaker 1: and the protest against police brutality, and after a year
- 36:11Speaker 1: about after that, Snada then used the N word and
- 36:14Speaker 1: a company conference call as he reminisced about how things
- 36:17Speaker 1: were when he was growing up. Well, now he's been
- 36:19Speaker 1: thrown off the company's board. Papa John's now has made
- 36:22Speaker 1: Shaquille O'Neill. Their spokesperson was Shack Dealz, who promising to
- 36:26Speaker 1: buy a bunch of Papa John franchises. So we'll see
- 36:29Speaker 1: if that works out. By the way, the President will
- 36:32Speaker 1: welcome the leaders of the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica,
- 36:35Speaker 1: and Saint Lucia to his Moralogal Club in Florida on
- 36:37Speaker 1: Friday for policy discussions. The White House says the meetings
- 36:41Speaker 1: would hopefully give the US a chance to reaffirm the
- 36:44Speaker 1: US commitment to the area. China, you know, has been
- 36:46Speaker 1: investing in infrastructure and other development projects in many Caribbean nations.
- 36:50Speaker 1: No real surprise at the box office this weekend. The
- 36:52Speaker 1: new horror movie US took the top slot from Captain Marvel.
- 36:56Speaker 1: There's a family, I drive one. It's probably the Neighbors,
- 37:00Speaker 1: which I'll schedule Family. How can I help you? Scary
- 37:10Speaker 1: US reportedly course twenty million to make and made seventy
- 37:13Speaker 1: million this first debut weekend. Now back to the Steve
- 37:16Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:21Speaker 1: All right, there was no winner on Saturday nights Powerball
- 37:24Speaker 1: Jackpot drawing lottery officials. Yeah, lottery officials say the powerball
- 37:29Speaker 1: jackpot for Wednesday's drawing has ballooned to an estimated seven
- 37:34Speaker 1: hundred and you ready for this one stave seven hundred yees,
- 37:38Speaker 1: seven hundred and fifty million dollars. Yes, what is it?
- 37:43Speaker 1: What is the take home? One dollar one cash? It
- 37:47Speaker 1: will be the payout will be four hundred and sixty
- 37:49Speaker 1: five point five, four hundred and sixty five. Yeah, Okay,
- 37:53Speaker 1: here we go, Junior, four hundred and sixty five million.
- 37:57Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? I came, okay, I ain't got
- 38:00Speaker 1: time for sixty five What you're gonna do? I'm buying Cupid.
- 38:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna You're gonna be broke. And when you buy Pop,
- 38:08Speaker 1: then what and if everybody comes see your stupid ass
- 38:12Speaker 1: sitting over there with driving them old ass calls you
- 38:17Speaker 1: tell us what we should buy? No, you're experience. Four
- 38:24Speaker 1: hundred and sixty five million, asked me. Okay, four hundred
- 38:28Speaker 1: sty five million immediately three hundred million, three hundred million
- 38:35Speaker 1: immediately goes into an account, getting me at minimum twelve percent.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I know how to talk to the right people to
- 38:45Speaker 1: give me twelve percent on the money. At twelve percent,
- 38:48Speaker 1: my money doubles in seven years. So when seven years
- 38:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna have six hundred million, I'm not gonna touch
- 38:55Speaker 1: it now. At other one hundred and sixty five million,
- 38:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna give Marjorie hen that she could do whatever
- 39:03Speaker 1: she wants to and I need fifty what girl? Okay, listen, girl,
- 39:13Speaker 1: I got to swallow real hard. I'm gonna take out
- 39:16Speaker 1: a full page ad in the USA today. It's gonna
- 39:22Speaker 1: be aye. It's gonna be a large black and white
- 39:29Speaker 1: on my butt, just the whole front, just a middle
- 39:34Speaker 1: Section's gonna be nothing but a full page. And right
- 39:38Speaker 1: in the crease of the page is my crease. So
- 39:42Speaker 1: on each half of the news, just booty. And on
- 39:47Speaker 1: the booty that will be a list of people inside
- 39:52Speaker 1: some lips, and on each lip it will be a name.
- 39:57Speaker 1: It's just read along and see if your name made
- 40:00Speaker 1: the pay. We're just gonna USA today. Coming up at
- 40:08Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour, more on celebrating the music
- 40:11Speaker 1: and legacy of the Queen of Soul on what would
- 40:14Speaker 1: have been Miss Franklin's seventy seventh birthday today. Right after this,
- 40:20Speaker 1: you're listening to show well today would have been Aretha
- 40:26Speaker 1: franklin seventy seventh birthday. Aretha's music and legacy lives on
- 40:31Speaker 1: right here at the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Of course,
- 40:34Speaker 1: we loved the queen. We love the Queen. Yes, yes, yes,
- 40:38Speaker 1: my favorite. So, Steve, we want to tell Aretha fans
- 40:42Speaker 1: the movie Amazing Grace, which stars her. Of course, it's
- 40:46Speaker 1: a documentary. It's going to be released next month. The
- 40:49Speaker 1: movie was filmed back in nineteen seventy two. It was
- 40:53Speaker 1: filmed at New Bethel Baptist Church in Watts, LA, when
- 40:57Speaker 1: the Queen of Soul recorded her top selling hospital album
- 41:00Speaker 1: of the same name, Amazing Grace. The footage was abandoned
- 41:04Speaker 1: for decades, but now it has been produced and restored
- 41:08Speaker 1: and will be released next month. So, Steve, I mean
- 41:12Speaker 1: you loved Aretha. You guys were friends. She loved you.
- 41:15Speaker 1: You know she loved you. Well, what do you want
- 41:18Speaker 1: to say about Aretha. I just think, man, that when
- 41:21Speaker 1: you look back over time and you think of the
- 41:25Speaker 1: great forces in music, Aretha Franklin is right up there.
- 41:32Speaker 1: She was one of the great forces in music. As
- 41:35Speaker 1: her father told her when she was young, one day
- 41:40Speaker 1: you will sing in front of Kings and it turned
- 41:44Speaker 1: out to be true. How prophetic was that that her
- 41:50Speaker 1: father would say that and it would turn out to
- 41:53Speaker 1: be true. Aretha Franklin sang for Kings, she sang for presidents.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Aretha Franklin Man was one of the powerhouses in music. Now.
- 42:04Speaker 1: You know, look, time got away from us and we
- 42:07Speaker 1: switched and we went to hip hop, and we went
- 42:10Speaker 1: to neo soul, and we went to you know, boy
- 42:13Speaker 1: groups and all this here. But let me tell you something.
- 42:17Speaker 1: When it came down to pure star power, pure vocal, excellent,
- 42:24Speaker 1: that dog on Wretha Franklin, who Lord Have Mercy was
- 42:28Speaker 1: a bad girl. That was a bad woman right there.
- 42:31Speaker 1: The original reread, yeah, yeah, what what no hour singing?
- 42:36Speaker 1: Go sit out? Yeah, come over here if you want to, Yeah,
- 42:41Speaker 1: get one of them out notes you ain't very familiar with.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Get somewhere and sit down. Also, if you missed it,
- 42:52Speaker 1: we want to play back some of the celebrities who
- 42:54Speaker 1: played paid tribute to the queen on our show, like
- 42:57Speaker 1: Judge Greg Mathis from Detroit, Stevie Wonder, missus Landa Adams,
- 43:01Speaker 1: revend Al Sharpton and more. Taken listen, good morning, see
- 43:05Speaker 1: Anthony Man Anthony Hamilton. Aretha was a bigging tune on
- 43:09Speaker 1: my music, just her delivery and the passion she had.
- 43:13Speaker 1: I remember one time I was supposed to have done
- 43:15Speaker 1: us a tribute to her, singing her song, and she
- 43:18Speaker 1: requested that not only I sing, but that I sing
- 43:22Speaker 1: my own music. She wanted me to sing Charlene and
- 43:24Speaker 1: Can't let go. And I was like, wow, here it
- 43:27Speaker 1: is a tribute for her, but she understands the importance
- 43:30Speaker 1: of an artist being an artist and delivering their own songs.
- 43:33Speaker 1: So it was really touching to know that she wanted that.
- 43:36Speaker 1: And you know what's up, Steve, And this is uncle Charlie,
- 43:40Speaker 1: Aretha Franklin, the Queen queenland soul. I'm just gonna miss
- 43:44Speaker 1: her a lot, not only just the vocals. And you know,
- 43:46Speaker 1: she taught us all how to sing, you know. And
- 43:48Speaker 1: if she's the best that ever touched the microphone, hands down, female, male,
- 43:53Speaker 1: doesn't matter. She's just the greatest man. She do anything
- 43:56Speaker 1: with a voice. She couldn't outdo her period. I gonna
- 43:59Speaker 1: miss her a lot. Stevens Nass lostday Morning, one of
- 44:02Speaker 1: the Eighth Wonders of the World, which her voices. When
- 44:05Speaker 1: President Obama stated in his message about her. I got
- 44:09Speaker 1: to meet her at the Borgata in two and eight.
- 44:12Speaker 1: She came to see me perform. Almost lost my mind.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I couldn't believe that in the audience, and she was
- 44:19Speaker 1: and we got a chance to talk backstage, we took photos.
- 44:23Speaker 1: It was the beginning of a friendship and a connection
- 44:26Speaker 1: that I never thought would ever come my way. I mean,
- 44:29Speaker 1: keep her alive. We keep her alive due her songs,
- 44:33Speaker 1: all the things that she did to make this world
- 44:36Speaker 1: so beautiful with her music. We missed she releas Hey,
- 44:40Speaker 1: Steve Tyler, ferret here man, you know, just celebrating Areta.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I gotta tell you. I was at one of the
- 44:46Speaker 1: last performances that she did, and I was sitting up
- 44:48Speaker 1: in the balcony with Barack Obama and Michelle and he
- 44:51Speaker 1: turned to me and after she finished singing Natural Woman
- 44:55Speaker 1: and bringing the house down, he turned to me and said,
- 44:58Speaker 1: that's why she's the queen the soul. And I never
- 45:00Speaker 1: forgot that Areta is gonna be miss man. God bless you, God,
- 45:04Speaker 1: bet you see for what you're doing today. Rest in peace,
- 45:07Speaker 1: our Queen Aretha. Now it's time to switch gears. The
- 45:10Speaker 1: nephew is on deck. He's gonna make us laugh with
- 45:13Speaker 1: the prank phone call. Right after this. You're listening morning
- 45:18Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, right

- 46:06Speaker 1: person that runs the media at the church. You over
- 46:09Speaker 1: the sound system and everything and all the um the
- 46:11Speaker 1: screens and all that stuff. Yeah, yeah, I work with
- 46:14Speaker 1: the church. Okay, how long have you been at the church? Man,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I've probably been at the church for like five years now,
- 46:20Speaker 1: about five years? Okay, okay, listen, my name Doug Man,
- 46:23Speaker 1: Doug Newsom, and uh I haven't. I haven't joined the
- 46:26Speaker 1: church yet, but I've been coming because my cousin, you know,
- 46:29Speaker 1: my um uh my cousin them go there and they've
- 46:32Speaker 1: been going there for quite a bit. My cousin, Uh
- 46:35Speaker 1: I got I got one cousin that's in the choir.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Uh Latrise. You know who Latrice is? Right? Yeah? Yeah,
- 46:41Speaker 1: I know, Doug. You ain't a member of the church yet. No, No,
- 46:45Speaker 1: I'm not a member of the church yet. But you know,
- 46:46Speaker 1: I've been in there. You know, I'm liking the service
- 46:49Speaker 1: and everything. So you know, it's just a matter of time,
- 46:51Speaker 1: you know. Uh uh when I feel like I'm ready
- 46:54Speaker 1: to actually join. But I I ain't gonna lie. Man.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I'm calling you because I got a bit of an
- 46:59Speaker 1: issue of about about something I've been noticing for the
- 47:02Speaker 1: last three weeks that's been going on in the church,
- 47:05Speaker 1: and I wanted to uh you know, I had to
- 47:07Speaker 1: ask around who was over the media. Yeah, that's that's okay. So,
- 47:13Speaker 1: uh man, I don't know what's happening, and I ain't
- 47:18Speaker 1: gonna lie. I gotta be real with you. It pissed
- 47:20Speaker 1: me off. But for the last three weeks. You know,
- 47:24Speaker 1: when my cousin get ready to sing, you know, I
- 47:27Speaker 1: don't know why when she get up the sing that
- 47:30Speaker 1: the mic just go out, you know what I mean,
- 47:32Speaker 1: The mic just go completely out? Was she getting ready
- 47:34Speaker 1: to sing? And I'm like, wait, what this doesn't make
- 47:36Speaker 1: no sense? You know, So, man, I ain't been. It's
- 47:39Speaker 1: not like I'm timing it. I don't know. I mean,
- 47:41Speaker 1: we don't have the best equipment at the church, you know,
- 47:44Speaker 1: we we just got to work for what we got.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's not like I'm sitting there trying to
- 47:49Speaker 1: sing about your cousin. Sometimes the mike's get a glitch. Man,
- 47:51Speaker 1: but see but see that. But see that's my problem though.
- 47:54Speaker 1: The problem I'm having is the glitch happening every single
- 47:57Speaker 1: time my cousin get the mic. You know, that's that's
- 48:00Speaker 1: the problem of him. I'm like, okay, so every time
- 48:02Speaker 1: Latrees get up there the same then you know, the
- 48:04Speaker 1: might go out. I came three weeks straight. I ain't
- 48:06Speaker 1: hearing my cud saint nothing yet. So I'm calling you
- 48:09Speaker 1: bro on you know, on some real man the man stuff,
- 48:13Speaker 1: Just letting you know, bro, I'm coming to church again
- 48:16Speaker 1: this Sunday. I'm coming. Nah if Latrees might go out again,

- 48:36Speaker 1: oh bro, what I'm saying is this right here though,
- 48:38Speaker 1: And I'm being as real as I can, which if
- 48:41Speaker 1: if Latrese might go out on Sunday immediately after that

- 48:53Speaker 1: Like I said, I ain't got nothing to do with it.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I try to keep everything running cool, you know. I
- 48:57Speaker 1: try to keep the running smooth. I can't tell you
- 49:00Speaker 1: when a glitch is gonna happen. It's electronics, man, it's
- 49:02Speaker 1: only quimmen. Now, I'd love for you to be a
- 49:05Speaker 1: member of the church with us, but I can't. I mean,
- 49:07Speaker 1: why are you calling up here threatening me? Hey, bro,
- 49:10Speaker 1: because because I came up there three times? Three times?
- 49:13Speaker 1: I he came there and see my cousin saying. You know,
- 49:16Speaker 1: my cousin been saying since we was kids, we all
- 49:18Speaker 1: love to hear hussying. We love a voice, you know.
- 49:21Speaker 1: We you know, we grew up listening to Latrise. So
- 49:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying, I'm gonna say this here though, and
- 49:26Speaker 1: I said it I didn't say it twice already. I'm
- 49:29Speaker 1: coming up there Sunday if Latrese might go out, bro
- 49:33Speaker 1: let me just cut you off real quick. Ain't no
- 49:35Speaker 1: way that you're gonna come up here and whoop nobody's ass. Man,
- 49:38Speaker 1: That just ain't gonna happen. Like I told you, it's
- 49:41Speaker 1: a glitch. But you ain't coming up to the church
- 49:43Speaker 1: talking all this and then gonna whip somebody's ass. Okay.
- 49:46Speaker 1: So I see where we are now, So so let
- 49:48Speaker 1: me just going on direct it this way. So let
- 49:50Speaker 1: me say this, from Doug to Andre, from me to you,
- 49:54Speaker 1: I'm letting you know right now, come Sunday, if Latrese

- 50:15Speaker 1: What my that is gonna happen? Okay? What? What what
- 50:18Speaker 1: makes you think you can't get your ass whip on, Drake?
- 50:20Speaker 1: What makes me you over here threatened somebody over here
- 50:22Speaker 1: with the media. You want to come test these hands
- 50:24Speaker 1: and come test the hands man, you know what may
- 50:26Speaker 1: the fact when y'all next rehearsal, I can't just come

- 50:59Speaker 1: all this little talking cool, you're gonna have eight dudes
- 51:03Speaker 1: right now. So Douggie, you can bring Johnny, you can
- 51:06Speaker 1: bring Billy, you can bring whoever you want. But it
- 51:09Speaker 1: ain't gonna happen, okay, okay, cool and real dog, Doug,
- 51:13Speaker 1: you don't call me talking to all this book. How
- 51:15Speaker 1: you about to come up here and whoop? And now
- 51:18Speaker 1: you need like seven eight other guys back in the day.
- 51:21Speaker 1: We used to just handle this one on one. And
- 51:22Speaker 1: now you want to come up here talking all that.
- 51:24Speaker 1: You're gonna bring every cousin you've got in your house.
- 51:27Speaker 1: If you want to do this, man, come up here,

- 54:57Speaker 1: right now. You can just keep your problem to youself.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tighte we got before you here.
- 55:06Speaker 1: It is called BERRYLETTA subject all eyes on me, Dear
- 55:12Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I am a thirty three year old married
- 55:15Speaker 1: woman with a great body, pretty faced, long healthy hair,
- 55:19Speaker 1: and a lot of confidence. I got married four years ago,
- 55:22Speaker 1: and my husband works hard to make sure I'm well
- 55:26Speaker 1: taken care of in all ways except for one. My
- 55:30Speaker 1: hobby does not give me compliments anymore or comment on
- 55:33Speaker 1: my hair and nails like he used to, so I
- 55:36Speaker 1: have been getting my needs met at work, the Jim
- 55:40Speaker 1: and via social media. It's not what you're thinking. My
- 55:44Speaker 1: husband and I have a great sex life. It's his
- 55:46Speaker 1: attention that I so desperately crave. I love dressing up
- 55:51Speaker 1: and turning heads when I walk in a room, and
- 55:53Speaker 1: I love it when I post pictures on Instagram and
- 55:56Speaker 1: a bunch of racy compliments come pouring in from men.
- 56:00Speaker 1: And the only problem is my husband does not like it,
- 56:04Speaker 1: and he thinks I'm insecure and pathetic. But when my
- 56:07Speaker 1: twenty six year old sister comes around and her cute,
- 56:10Speaker 1: form fitting athletic wear. He has no problems with giving
- 56:14Speaker 1: her compliments. I have told him that it makes me
- 56:16Speaker 1: jealous when he does that. And he told me that
- 56:19Speaker 1: it's fine for my sister to push the limits because
- 56:21Speaker 1: she's under thirty, single and has no real career. Yet
- 56:25Speaker 1: I think he does it to irritate me. I have
- 56:27Speaker 1: told him I can't go on for too much longer
- 56:30Speaker 1: without being wanted and appreciated by him. What's wrong with him?
- 56:34Speaker 1: Or am I the crazy person in all of this?
- 56:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to get where you think he doesn't want
- 56:39Speaker 1: you or appreciate you out of this? I think he
- 56:41Speaker 1: does you. I mean, you said it. He takes very
- 56:45Speaker 1: good care of you. You said that, and I think
- 56:48Speaker 1: you're his wife. Now. Your husband does not want you
- 56:52Speaker 1: posting pictures on social media for other men to look
- 56:57Speaker 1: at you and lear at you and all of that.
- 56:58Speaker 1: No man wants that. And when you say you like
- 57:01Speaker 1: dressing up and turning heads when you go out, just
- 57:05Speaker 1: exactly what are you wearing? I want to know this.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I mean, I really really hope you're not dressing too
- 57:11Speaker 1: sexy or you're not dressing too sexy. No, I don't, Steve,
- 57:16Speaker 1: And I mean I can guess, and with too much
- 57:18Speaker 1: skin showing, Okay, I hope it's not that because you
- 57:22Speaker 1: know that can get you the wrong kind of attention.
- 57:25Speaker 1: I don't think you want that kind of attention, but
- 57:27Speaker 1: sometimes the way you dress will bring on that kind
- 57:30Speaker 1: of attention. All right? Is that wrong? Yes? It is,
- 57:33Speaker 1: But you know, just keep that in mind. The kind
- 57:36Speaker 1: of and the kind that your husband will have a
- 57:40Speaker 1: problem with. He already has a problem with it, I'm
- 57:42Speaker 1: sure with you know, with you posting these kinds of pictures,
- 57:45Speaker 1: you're his wife, he doesn't want to see that. He
- 57:47Speaker 1: doesn't want to see you on social media looking all sexy.
- 57:50Speaker 1: You know, if if you do it in a classy way,
- 57:53Speaker 1: I'm sure that's okay. But it's just I'm getting vibes
- 57:57Speaker 1: from this letter that that's not what you're doing, all right,
- 58:00Speaker 1: So just keep that in mind. Real it in you
- 58:03Speaker 1: can dress sexy without showing everything, you know, leaves a
- 58:06Speaker 1: little mystery for your husband and all of that you
- 58:09Speaker 1: can do that. And about him complimenting your sister, I mean,
- 58:12Speaker 1: I think there are clues in there, you know, when
- 58:15Speaker 1: he says she's under thirty, she has no real career
- 58:18Speaker 1: yet maybe he's trying to, you know, encourage her. Let's say,
- 58:23Speaker 1: but you're his wife. You already have the man, and
- 58:25Speaker 1: he's taking care of you, So why can't that be enough? Steve?
- 58:31Speaker 1: You know, surely changed my mind a little bit because
- 58:34Speaker 1: I was really gonna go the other way. But you're
- 58:37Speaker 1: absolutely right with what you said. But still I must
- 58:42Speaker 1: address a few things, do you boo? You know that's probably,
- 58:46Speaker 1: like now, the biggest problem in this letter. She thirty three,
- 58:52Speaker 1: her sister twenty six. Seven year difference them seven years
- 58:57Speaker 1: have made all the difference. We'll get into that thirty
- 59:00Speaker 1: three year old married woman with a great body, pretty face,
- 59:05Speaker 1: long healthy hell, and a lot of confidence. I got
- 59:10Speaker 1: married four years ago, and my husband works hard to
- 59:13Speaker 1: make sure I feel taken care of. Except for one
- 59:18Speaker 1: excuse me. My husband does not give me compliments anymore
- 59:22Speaker 1: or comment on my hand and nails like he used to. Okay,
- 59:26Speaker 1: now this is a little bit misleading. Your husband don't
- 59:31Speaker 1: give you compliments on your hand nails. Now, these pictures
- 59:34Speaker 1: you putting on Instagram, it's the men that you say
- 59:38Speaker 1: is calling in because see you say you love posting
- 59:42Speaker 1: pictures on Instagram and and I love posting pictures on
- 59:48Speaker 1: Instagram and a bunch of racy compliments come polling in
- 59:52Speaker 1: from men on your hand nails. Lady, are you are
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you trying to trick me? As you said your husband.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Don't call me on your hand nails and racy comments
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: just be pulling in from me in on your Instagram
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: about what your hair and nail. Girl. It ain't a
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: man on Instagram looking at hal or nails. So now
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: what are you really doing? Like Sirley said, what are
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: you doing? You? And then I've been getting my needs
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: met at the work, at work, the gem and via
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: social media. Oh it's not what you're thinking. My husband,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I have a great sex life. It's his attention that
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I so desperately create. I love no he go again.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I love dressing up and turning heads when I walk
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: in a room. Girl, what have you done to your
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: damn hal? I just know what your heads looks like?
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Can you please send us pictures of your head with
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: your hands showing, because you don't turn heads when you
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: walk in the room with your hell, you don't. We
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: might eventually see your hair, but if the first y'all
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: ass is in hell clown, and I think I know
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: what's going on now. I was gonna tell you that
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: your husband is jealous. I was gonna tell you that
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: he don't get it, and I was gonna tell you
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: that he wants ownership with his wife. But I think
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: it's mold to it that I'm so nervous about all
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: this head turning. What hairstyle? Could you possibly turning? These
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: heads like this? Polished on that bab the bun on?
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Will you look at the ponytail walking in him? That's
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: just not look at the we look at the weed.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: All right, Look, hang on, Steve. We'll have part two
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: of your response coming up at twenty three after the hour,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: right after this. The title of the subject is all
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: eyes on mate. Right after this you're listening to show.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: All right, let's recap today's Strawberry letters, Steve with part
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: two of your response, subject all eyes on Me, thirty
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: three year old woman and sick of her horse. He
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: don't compliment her no more on her hand nails, so
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: she didn't went to Instagram in the gym and start posting.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: And now I just drives her crazy when she gets
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: all type of unruly and why our comments from men
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: In other words, she says, oh, when she gets racing
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: comments come pulling in from me and on Instagram. Now
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: she tried to trick me and sherlo she thinks she's
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: talking about her hand nail. We don't give a damn
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: about your hand les. It ain't one woman getting comments
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: from me and the little fire sign the little hands
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: praying right, we won't you you want hunted, We don't
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: give you that. For hell, we get that from our girls,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: but not from guys. No for your hello, what the
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: hell you have only on instagrams? Right? Girl? You love
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: turning heads when you walk in the room. I got
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: news for you. Ain't causing your hair. Now, when your
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: sister come in, your baby's sister, who's twenty seven, your us,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: it ain't got no problem. She come in her cute
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: form fit and athletic wear. He ain't got no problem
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: giving her compliments out and told him that it makes
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: me jealous when he does that. He told me, now
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: listen to this last. He told me that it's fine
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: for my sister to push the limits cause she is
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: under thirty, single and has no real career. Yet, now
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: do you hear how men think for your sister? To
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: come in here with this skin tight clothes. Or it's fine,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: she under thirty. She ain't got no career yet what
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you want her to do? She don't dress like that?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: That's got you jealous? Or now what you're wearing on Instagram?
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Can we have your Instagram? Give us a name? Who
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: is you? Hot pocket Kitten? No cut Linda? Who are you?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Big booty? Brenda? Who are you? Because you're doing something
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: other than fixing your hair and painting your nail. Monica
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: and Shirley and Carlins nails always look nice. You always
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: these girls keep their hair right. You don't never see
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: these girls hand right and these girls nails. It's always
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: done every now and then I say, girls, y'all hair
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: a little nice and y'all nails. Why that's nice right there.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: But that's what I see first though. Yeah, that ain't
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: turning no heads. No, you want your head turn? You
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: gotta do some men. Yeah, you got to have a
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: v cut. Damn there down to your neighbor. Now you
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: have our attention. I think he does that to irritate
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: me when he talks about my sister. I've told him
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I can't go on too much longer without being won't
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: it and appreciated by him? What's wrong with him or
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: my crazy person in all of this. Well, what you're
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: doing now is you're seeking attention from other men, which
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: is now ticking him off. So since see, ma'am, you're
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: getting what you want. See, so you on Instagram not
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: for your husband. You're walking in the gym, not for
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: your husband. You walk into work turning heads, not for
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: your husband. You're doing all that for yourself. So now, yeah,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you know why your husband quick complimenting you because he
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: figured you're getting enough of it any way else you're
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: trying to get it. So see, you're really sabotaging your
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: own marriage. You're really sabotaging your own marriage seeking the
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: approval of other men, racy comments. So system, I was
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: gonna talk about your husband or what's wrong within me? Jealous,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: But like Shirley said, it's you. You're fast. You're just fast.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: You somebody wife, don't. Yeah, your husband used to compliment
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: you until you start losing your mind. Now you all
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: on Instagram, couple, your butt showing the little the little
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: brown on your chest is showing that little circle, just
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the beginning of the circle. You got that out on
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: the picture because she huh, she didn't say she was
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: getting compliments from men. She said, racey, racy comments, racy comments,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: right right. See, these ain't compliments, So you're going past
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the compliments. See Monica, Shirley call it. They get compliments
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: from us often. Don't not compliment you all from times time. Yes, yes,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you do something different with your hand. We notice it.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: We pay your comments. We love your nails and girls
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: they keep their nails and toes done. These ain't no
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: shabby crew up in him comes up in here, and
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you know why they ain't shot because I don't allow it.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I can't come in here, Canda. But then you know what,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: we don't come in here looking any kind of the way.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: We don't allow it. They don't allow where you going, right,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: But they ain't even get compliments outside their husband. You know,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: it's gonna only so far you can go with Calor
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: called Tasha hands over there, so I'm wrong with it.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: It's only so far you can go with Sherlan called
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: the Mexican he over there, but really old is over there?
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Or really old really? So I don't know what to
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: tell you, lady. You got to slow it down. You're
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: gonna mess, you lose your family trying to get some attention,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: and let me tell you something, men to pay you
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: all types of attention with racy comments. The fact that
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: you ain't deleting the comments. People on Instagram ain't stupid.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: They know that's what you want. And she is who
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: wife entertains that while and maybe that's why your husband
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: complimenting your little sister. Yeahm so, so now what should
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: show you how that feel? Yeah? Uh huh, how I
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: feel with somebody you love getting compliments? Yeah? All right, listen,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. You can email us
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: or instagram us your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter at
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: Steve Harvey f M coming up in ten minutes, NCAA
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: March Madness, and then political news, the Muller Report, New Collusion.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: We'll be right back. You're listening to Steve Morning Show.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Special counsel Robert Muller ended his nearly two year long
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: investigation into Russian interference into the two thousand and sixteen
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: election and possible collusion between Trump campaign and associates and
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: the Kremlin. Mueller found, imagine this, no collusion, but yeah, right,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: but that doesn't exonerate the president completely on the obstruction
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: of justice issue. Mueller has brought charges against at least
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: thirty four people and three companies. That includes guilty pleads
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: from Trump's former national security advisor, his personal lawyer, the
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: one time campaign chairman, and deputy chairman. Mueller has left
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: the decision to charge the president with obstruction of justice
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: up to the new Attorney General, Bill Barr and the
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Department of Justice. Over the weekend, mister Trump played golf
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: with Kid Rock and tweeted, have a great day. Happy Yes. Now,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: keep in mind the US Attorney's Office in the Southern
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: District of New York has also launched investigations into the
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: presidents and the Trump organization, and they don't have any
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: restrictions or investigate on investigation. So, um, will the president
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: and his kids be in the clear. We just don't
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: know yet that as a question. We'll have to wait
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: to find out. What do you think? It depend on
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: what you know if you're waiting on Bar to do anything.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Bar is the same guy that's on records saying that this, uh,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: this whole investigation is a which hunt. He thought he
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: agreed with Trump it should have ended a long time ago.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: So now he is the new attorney general. So now
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: what do you think he's gonna say. You know what,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I'm at the point where really politics has really gotten
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: on my nerves a bit. I mean, it's just so
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: political and there's so many things that we can't do
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: anything about that. Yeah, that's political, man, it ain't and
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: it ain't really nothing we can do. We have nothing
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: to say with the DJ know, we can't change any
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: the laws. You know, we sit up here and vote.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: The popular vote don't count no more. It's the electoral vote.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: You know. They just got a game set up that
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: they're playing amongst themselves. You can't leave us out. You
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: can't die of sitting president. So you know, so this
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: dude just getting away with whatever you want to get
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: away with. So here's what's happening. We have to turn
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: out in twenty twenty in a record number. We've got
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: to get out and vote so heavily that the delicates
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: they have to go with the masters. That's the only
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: way that's gonna work. But let me tell y'all something. Y'all,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: they are planning on winning it again, especially with the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: report anger that they're gonna have man towards I just
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: we've got to get out and vote Trump in record level. Yeah,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: he could take a victory lap on, but what does
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: it say. Who's he taking a victory lap saying I'm
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: not a criminal? I told you. I don't say post too.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: But your crew is around you. Yeah, everybody you bought
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: around the White House and in the White House is indicted.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: A bunch of them doing time. Yes, they were all
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: bought in by you. But the Trump supporters are not
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: gonna see this sto. Yeah, even if he even if
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: the Muller report had come back Steve and said that
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: there was collusion, his base would still be with him
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: very anyway. Yeah, it was. President Trump is very smart,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: but he's dangling in front of not only his base.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Don't don't y'all think it's just his base. It's the
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: people in power who have jobs, titles and position and money, jobs,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: position and money. He's got them in a position where
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: if I'm in this place, you can stay in your place.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: So they're gonna go along with him because they're not
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: sacrificing their job, their power, or their money for the
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: good of the country and for regular folk. They're not
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: going to do that because they are of the firm
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: belief if the rich state richer, they are the ones
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: providing opportunities for the everyday man. That is their solemn beliefs.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Don't you think it's any other difference. If we are
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: not who we are, hiring, who we hire and doing
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: what we do, what would happen to this country? So
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: they not fit. That's what the Republican parties really say.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: That's what all these politicians are really saved. If it
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: weren't for us, what would you do? But they're protecting
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: themselves and they're not gonna sacrifice themselves for y'all. They not,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: So we've got to get out to the polls in
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: massive numbers. Their job, though, is to make you think
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: there's nothing you can do. Now. They are counting on
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: complacency in two thousand and twenty, they are counting on
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: black people sitting this one out because they're getting away
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: with so much stuff. They want you to think that
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: you'll vote doesn't matter. So it's a trick, y'all. It's
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: an ugly, nasty trick. Please be aware. It takes nothing
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: for you to vote. Yeah, go down there, you can vote,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: You can early vote. You ain't got to wait till
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: them lines look man, y'all have got to vote. It's
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: a trick going on. Yeah, and if y'all fall for
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: the trick, they're just go, hey, we won, we won. Yeah,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: I know I know we can. Yes. Please y'all don't
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: get depressed about this. Don't don't let that bother you.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I figured it was gonna come down to this. Yeah.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: If every listen to me, every time you thought right
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: was gonna get done, has it been done? No? They
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: let police go shooting these people. Yeah. They do what
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: they want to do, and they make it a okay
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: every now I and they'll serve one up all right,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: now I'm dead. But really, don't let that bother y'all. Man,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: they don't big deal. It's just a Muller report. We
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: got years, all right. Coming up at the top of
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna talk about this video that's gone
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: viral about this Dallas bartender who beat this woman up
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: so badly over a parking space. We'll talk about it
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, guys, I don't
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: know this video. We've seen this video. It's gone viral.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: It's really shocking to see. It's in Dallas. It's a
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: bartender who beat this woman for blocking him in a
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: parking lot. Now. Dallas police say it started with an
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: exchange of words between a man. His name is Austin Shuffield.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: He's thirty years old, and the woman is a twenty
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: four year old woman. Her car was reportedly blocking the
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: exit behind a barbershop and bar where this man, Austin
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Shuffield works, and he works as a bartender serving drinks.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: The Dallas Morning News reported the victim told police she
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: had stopped her car after she realized she was driving
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: the wrong way down a street. In the video, which
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I said has gone viral, Shuffield can be seen confronting
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: her with a gun in his hand. Yeah. When the
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: victim pulled out her phone to call nine one one,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: the man slapped the phone out of her hand and
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: then she hit him. Now he had a gun in
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: his hand, remember that she hit him. At this point, Shuffield,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I mean, he started beating this woman like she was
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: a man for real. You you gotta check out this video.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: He delivered as many as five violent punches and upper
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: cuts upper cuts to the woman. While witnesses recorded the video,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: just everybody was like gasping, just in disbelief. They could
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: not believe it. They were saying, it's horrific what happened
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: in the video. This is according to the owner of
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: the barbershop. Bar He said it was shocking to see
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: such violent behavior from what he called a very good employee.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: So this is when a very good employee goes bad.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: People help this woman, they're they're recording this on video.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: And yeah, because you saw he was a man, he
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: had a gun. Here's a man who has a gun out,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: it's in his head, it's visible, you can see the gun.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: It's not smart to run over there because he hidden her. Yeah,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: ain't no doubt. If you a man your own round.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: I can't imagine him hitting you because see, most men
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: who are physically abusive to women don't fight men. No,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: that's what I found to be the case from people
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I know who have been abusive to women. This is horrible.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: These are charges that have to be placed. First of all,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: when you have a gun out in your hand, that's
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: not a concealed weapon. You got it out even if
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: you got a license to carry. A license to carry
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: does not allow you to pull it out, draw it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: So it doesn't matter what. But now, and I've heard
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: a lot of people say she shouldn't have hit him. Well,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: she shouldn't have hit him because of the gun. You
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: know how mad she was. But he did the first
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: physically offensive thing. He hit her first when he slapped
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: the phone out your hand. Don't nobody just hit your
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: your phone right and your hand is in it. So
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: he in essence slapped his woman hard enough to knock
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: her phone out the hand because she was trying to
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: call the police. Then he hit her. Now she enraged,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: and she swung and she hit. Now. I wouldn't I
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: would hope that I could talk to my daughters to
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: get them to get away from this situation as quickly
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: as you can with this man with this gun, because
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: this could have been worse, but it could not have
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: gone The best thing was somebody recorded this. Butthole this
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: half a man, this disgrace to a male species. Hits
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: this woman like this, I mean just that wentn't punches
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: at this girl like she was a man. He needed
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: to go to jail. Well not well, he's been charged
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: with a salt okay, and he has been fired by
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: the barbershop bar And we don't know the condition condition
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: of the victim. We don't know her condition. Yeah, so
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: that's so, I don't know, if you know, it's just
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: a matter of time. Probably they watched the news too. Yeah,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I'm sure it's just a matter of time. But let
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: me tell you something. When you get to jail, boy,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: oh boy, oh boy, And I hope that the judge
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: brings him forward, throw the book at him and set
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: that bill nice and high where he gonna take him
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: at least seventy two hours and get this money because
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: there's some people in that man got something for him.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Black and white. See, jail's is different from prisons. It's
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: actually blacks and whites to get along in jail. It's
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: not as racially segregated as prison. You know, if you
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: watch ninety days in sixty days in you see people.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: You know, it's still gains and it's it is not
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: a good place, but it's not as segregated as prison.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: As soon as you get in prison, you got to
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: get If you're in Northern Mexican, you got to get
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: it the northern Mexican. If you Southern, you got you
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: go to California. Your black's gotta go over there. Northern
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: and Southern Mexicans, they're another group, and the whites in
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: another group. And if you Asian Indian, y'all got to
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: pile up and get something going. Yeah, and the medium
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: and stive you mentioned race, um, just in case you
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: were wondering. The man was white, the woman was black.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: In this instance, they've protesting going on in Dallas and everything.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: He gonna get his ass told off, Okay, in any
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: one of them jails. The best thing he could do
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: is stopped by that barbershop and get that hack cut off.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Don't go in there looking like you did on the video.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Get you something. Well again, he has been charged in assault.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Yeah that that video is so disturbing, It really really is. Yeah,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: it is. But in the way he was just an owner. Yeah, an,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I mean, man, you hit the woman one time, she
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: hit you once. Yeah, you hit the woman one. First
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: of all, I'm just not a propuent. There's a cow woman.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I got to ask you something. I gotta ask you
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: something because you know, we were saying, of course he
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: had a gun and she shouldn't have hit him. But
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: a lot of times when someone hits you, it's kind
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: of a natural reaction for you to hit them back,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, she just probably
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: just instinctively hit him back. But oh, she definitely did that.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: She definitely instinctively hit him back. But I want women
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: to be careful out here because there are men who
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: were not raised with the thought of you don't hit
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: a woman. And please be careful women because these men
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: out here, man, they raise different. They're not they're not
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: real men out here. Man, there's some dudes out hit
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: it on. Lived. Ain't got no cold respect for women
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: that you don't hit a woman. Yeah, you know what,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: I many times a woman has hit me. I've probably
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: been hit by five women in my life. Wow, hit
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: a woman back, Gwen hass beat my ass, slatch me
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: off a bike, and beat my bike. Gwen was pretty big.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Then all right, we gotta go, Steve. We still gotta
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: talk about the ncuble A and um Cam Newton says
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: he's giving up sex to make himself a better quarterback.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. Yeah, you heard me.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: You're listening, all right? What you guys want to do? First?
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Ncuble A, You want to talk about Carolina Panthers quarterback
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: Cam Newton, who says he's all right, man. Cam Newton
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: says he's giving up sex to make himself a better quarterback.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Uh he's of course, you know from the Carolina Pathers
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: He's a superstar. Cam says that. Uh. Well, he went
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: on the Late Show, The Late Late Show with James Gordon,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: and in the process of explaining why he's going vegan,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: he dropped a bomb, saying he's giving up sex too
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: well for the month of March. So I'm no bet
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: so in January. Then it carried over then, um, February vegan, yeah,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: so yeah, so vegan, Yeah, vegan in February. Vegan in February.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Yeah seven k yes, vegan in February. So we got yeah,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: vegan of February and then March. I'm giving I hope
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: this is an adult crowd. It looked like it is.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: No shot the front, dool straight up, No, no, I'm
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: going through a transition right now, like oh mom, I'm gone.
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: They should at least done it in February. You got
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: twenty eight days in February. It's well, I tell you
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: one thing, though, he damn show gonna be able to
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: throw it further say that yan, yeah man, because when
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: you give up that, you know h when you give
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: up that, you know you give him that yikity yak
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: you get real strong man. Yeah, he's gonna be able
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: to throw that ball, pop the damn the eighty five
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: yards in the al, but he ain't playing to sell.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: That carries over, Tommy. I got sick one time and
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: I was in college and I didn't have sex three
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: weeks in college. What happened one of him, Chase. I
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: ran from my apartment to class one day, six min
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: non stop, no sweat, without a break, pound in that pavement.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: My body was just jacked off. Cam Newton gonna be
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: throwing that ball so damn fart this year? What's the
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: long as y'all went this morning? So far? Oh y'all
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: can answer that question? That ain't you know? What about
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: Junior's answer? Yeah, I'll say this, Tommy, I've gone some years,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: not since I've been married, but when I was single.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: I want some year. You remember that period of my
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: life when I was selling went, I was selling it. Yes,
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: we talked about this how many years? But Junior, Steve, Tommy,
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: you heard me? She did You've been married, Carly, you
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: were married, girl, used to customer. I stress frustrations. Yeah,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: you could do it weeks, weeks and I'm starting to
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: help wheel wheel prop. I get dizzy. After week, I
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: can't see my visions there. Really, I go blind. One
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: time I went without yeah, when I was When I
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: was younger, I went without sex for a month. I
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: had sea. My whole body just started slobling, had tongue
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: out of my mouth out the side. My daddy grabbed
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: the spoon, try to keep me from swallowing my tongue.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: I ain't know what the hell is really, bill, Bill,
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I think the boy had no sex. I'm talking to

- 1:32:44Speaker 1: fearless leader, Steve Harvey is standing by with his closing
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: remarks right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, It's
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: been a good Monday. Um, Happy birthday again to the
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin Rip queen. Yes, yes, all right, Steve,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: it's on you for closing. You know, today I want
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: to talk to men, and I'm not saying anything right
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: now that I don't think a lot of men are
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: very very aware of. I'm not the only man that
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: feels this way. I just happen to have a platform
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: and I can say it out loud, you know, in
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: light of this horrific video that's out of this man
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: who has this gun drawn and slaps a phone from
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: this woman's hand and then she hits him, and he
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: proceeds to punch this woman like she's a man. I
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: just want to talk to men for a second. Not
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: once again. This isn't for every man listening, because, like
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: I say, the majority of men that I know feel
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: this exact same way. But if you're one of those
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: men that you just don't get it, if you weren't
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: raised this way. If you're one of those men who says, well,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: she shouldn't have put her hands on me, I agree.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: I agree that a woman shouldn't hit a man. I
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: agree with that wholeheartedly. But let's just talk about manhood
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: for a second. Even if she does her level best
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: to hit you, just really, bra really, man, how damaging
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: is it? Really? How damaging is it? I mean, let's
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: think about this, man. I was raised not to hit women,
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: no matter what. Now, Look, if you're in a life
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: in death situation, you got to protect yourself. A woman
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: got a gun and finished shoot you. That we're talking
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: a different sets of stuff. I'm talking about. If a
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: woman draws her hand back and hit you, what your
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: response should be, and you know what it should be
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: to walk away, to just say hey, look stop, hey, look,
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: I'm out of here. Go ahead. I can see you
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: blocking a punch. I can understand that. But to retaliate, Fellas,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: listen to me, that's not the way we were meant
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: to treat women. Even if a woman in a fit
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: of anger loses it. And I've tried to tell my daughters,
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: don't put your hand on no man because all these
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: men out he ain't raised like your father and your
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: brother's was. But now listen to me. In a fit
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: of anger, if she does hit you, fellas, what are
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: you doing? Listen? Man? First of all, let me tell
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: you how special women are. Do you know that women
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: have a skill set that none of us have. They
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: give birth to children, They bring life into this world.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: They are our mothers. They are our grant and mothers.
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: They are our sisters, they are aunts, They are our teachers.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: They are our comfort. They are our source of of
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: of of of of of of of times when we
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: need someone to confide in. Women have been there for
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: us since the beginning of time. Women patch us up
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: so we can get back out here to war. Women
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: love on us, Women tape us up and put us
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: back together to face another day. Women are special, man,
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: They are special. They do things for us that no
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: one else can provide a level of comfort, healing, loving
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: security that nobody else provides. We have got to get
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: back to understanding who we are as men, as men.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: Now I'm not talking about women's live I think women
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: should have equal pay, equal jobs. I'm talking about all
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: of that. But after that, though, we have an obligation
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: to treat them special that day are not targets for
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: our anger calling them all out our name. But we
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: didn't allow this to go on too though. And I
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: can't really blame nobody but our generation. We got to
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: stop being this way. Man, I've noticed a shift in
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: the way young men are dressing now, And man, I
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: take my hat off to y'all. I had these cats
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: from Chicago Black Ink on my talk show the other day.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: This dude came out in a three piece suit man,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: one of the leaders of the Black Crew. This guy
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: was so dapple, man, I was proud of him. I
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: looked at all these Cassie's young cats that was at
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: this part of this Oscar party we went to. All
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: these young dudes was dapple. They had their suits on,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: their taxes on. I mean, man, I've watched slowly come
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: back around where young guys are starting to dress. Well,
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: why are we dressing? I want you to get what
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: else comes with that? Do you know that when you
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: walk a woman down the street that you are always
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: supposed to be on the curb side of the street.
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: Do you know that you're really not supposed to allow
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: a woman to walk against the curb closest to the
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: curb and you on the inside. And you know why
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: because it came from chivalry. Man. It came from back
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: in the days when that was wagons on the street
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: and a gentleman was walking down a boarded sidewalk with
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: a woman and for a wagon came by and splashed mud.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: It was splashed on the gentleman instead of on the lady.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: It started like that. It was something as simple as that,
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: because that's when we started having sidewalks back in the day,
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: So that's what that was about. But we lost that,
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: I see women walking up against the curb, we lost that.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: Do you know when you get on the escalator with
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: your woman, you're supposed to let her in the front
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: in case she falls you can catch him. Do you
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: know when you get on the escalator going down, you're
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: supposed to be in front of her in case she
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: stumbles she falls into you. Do you know that, man,
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: that you're supposed to open doors for women? Do you
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: know that you're supposed to open card doors women? Do
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: you know that you're supposed to pull out chairs for
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: women the Saint. This ain't option. This is what we're
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: supposed to do because we men. We are men. We
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: can't lose sight of who we were created to be. Biblically,
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: we're created to be the stronger vessel, not meaning that
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: women ain't capable, but the physically stronger vessels. Being corny
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: or whatever that is. That's just real talk, man. We
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: got we got to remember who we are. We men.
