- 1:24Speaker 1: My next guest, longtime friend, longtime actors, longtime radio person.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I didn't even see radio in her credit. That's what
- 1:32Speaker 1: That's what. I messed me up a little bit. I
- 1:34Speaker 1: didn't see radio in their credits. But Due's a New
- 1:37Speaker 1: York Times best selling in the author, fashion and cosmetic
- 1:40Speaker 1: mogul who's present in the film and TV industry is
- 1:44Speaker 1: rapidly growing. When I met her, she was in eighteen
- 1:46Speaker 1: years old in Los Angeles. She was doing midday radio
- 1:50Speaker 1: and Steve Hary. Now we're doing morning Drive on two
- 1:53Speaker 1: point three two Beat. She can currently be seen this
- 1:56Speaker 1: summer on Stars Network number one hits Your Power Please
- 2:00Speaker 1: welcome the money making conversations. La La Anthony. Hey, it's
- 2:05Speaker 1: so nice to be talking to a girl. You're fantastic, great,
- 2:10Speaker 1: thank you for calling in. First of all, Um, First
- 2:14Speaker 1: of all, I gotta go back when I first met
- 2:16Speaker 1: you in Los Angeles, and you're just so naturally gifted
- 2:22Speaker 1: and but you always always got the impression because you
- 2:26Speaker 1: always said that you wanted to be bigger, you wanted
- 2:28Speaker 1: to do more. You always felt that you were bigger
- 2:29Speaker 1: than radio. What was the drive because you because you
- 2:34Speaker 1: was hired from Atlanta to do radio in Los Angeles,
- 2:38Speaker 1: which is that's cross country, okay, And that's a lot
- 2:41Speaker 1: of emotions, that's a lot of you know, a lot
- 2:44Speaker 1: of things that you know. There's no guarantees, but you
- 2:47Speaker 1: made that decision. I want to I want the listeners
- 2:50Speaker 1: to hear what drove you at that early stage which
- 2:52Speaker 1: makes you the success you are today. I think, I
- 2:56Speaker 1: think to be successful people have to understand you have
- 2:58Speaker 1: to be willing. It's take risks and be willing to
- 3:02Speaker 1: you know, push fear out the way. I could have
- 3:04Speaker 1: let fear get in the way of me moving to
- 3:06Speaker 1: l A at nineteen years old and not knowing anybody actually,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you need to even been to l A. When I
- 3:10Speaker 1: moved there. I mean, in my world, you can only
- 3:13Speaker 1: dream about a place like l A. You weren't traveling there,
- 3:16Speaker 1: so I had never been there before, and I just
- 3:19Speaker 1: got on the plane and moved there. But I had
- 3:21Speaker 1: to let fear out the way because I knew what
- 3:24Speaker 1: my goal was. I knew I wanted to be successful,
- 3:26Speaker 1: and I knew this was the start of achieving that goal.
- 3:29Speaker 1: So I just chopped it up there what I had
- 3:31Speaker 1: to do. And I feel like, you know it always
- 3:34Speaker 1: decisions And so we met. You know you always can
- 3:39Speaker 1: you give, always talk to you about everything, everything and
- 3:45Speaker 1: looking at you and and and Steve Harvey. You know
- 3:48Speaker 1: that motivated me too because I would see all the
- 3:50Speaker 1: amazing things you guys were doing and not just being
- 3:53Speaker 1: on the radio like at that time and even now,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you know, people want to put people in boxes, like
- 3:59Speaker 1: if you're on the radio, you know, that's all you do.
- 4:00Speaker 1: If you're a producer, that's all you do. If you're
- 4:02Speaker 1: on TV, that's all you do. And Steve was one
- 4:05Speaker 1: of the first people along with you know, your help
- 4:08Speaker 1: to break those barriers and people. You can do a
- 4:11Speaker 1: lot of different things and be great at it, and
- 4:14Speaker 1: that's what I wanted to do. So it just taught
- 4:16Speaker 1: me at an early age not to put myself in
- 4:19Speaker 1: a box and be able to accomplish different things. And
- 4:22Speaker 1: then the first big break out of radio was MTV.
- 4:26Speaker 1: H and I remember you used to shine at an audition.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I mean, you call me. I think I think they
- 4:32Speaker 1: liked me. What should I do? You know, I'm over
- 4:35Speaker 1: here hustling with Steve, so I really couldn't couldn't, couldn't
- 4:38Speaker 1: get into a world. But I can go. Go for
- 4:40Speaker 1: a girl, go for it right now. You always gave
- 4:42Speaker 1: me the confidence and that's something I'll never forget and
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm so grateful for it. That's right. When I even
- 4:47Speaker 1: heard about this interview, I was like, ya know, how
- 4:50Speaker 1: far back we go, Like many in my career, especially
- 4:55Speaker 1: in the early early stages. Yeah, the MTV audition happened
- 4:59Speaker 1: and I at that job, and then I moved to
- 5:01Speaker 1: New York and he started, you know, hosting, and that's
- 5:06Speaker 1: the thing that always and I would text her sometimes,
- 5:09Speaker 1: uh when I CEO TV, it was on b ET
- 5:13Speaker 1: and just so your articulation and your intellect was always
- 5:18Speaker 1: especially when you used to do the social media boards.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You was just round and I would text us the girl,
- 5:23Speaker 1: are you crazy? That is too good? I would just
- 5:25Speaker 1: text her, I don't know, you know, it's you know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: because it was just it was just us, just a
- 5:29Speaker 1: naturally gifted person and you just and everything came off
- 5:34Speaker 1: so easy, and I know it wasn't easy because you
- 5:37Speaker 1: put your work in. That was the one thing I
- 5:38Speaker 1: want to let everybody know. One of the most hard
- 5:41Speaker 1: working individuals is on the phone right here because she
- 5:44Speaker 1: puts her time and she's willing to give the hours.
- 5:47Speaker 1: She's one of the people that you know I was.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I was running the people go what it takes to
- 5:51Speaker 1: be successful? And people always asking me about when I said,
- 5:54Speaker 1: people always say I want Steve Harvey's career because they
- 5:57Speaker 1: want me to manage them. I go, well, okay, let
- 5:59Speaker 1: me just let you know. I'm a workaholic, RuSHA McDonald's workoholic.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Now Steve Harvey is a workerholic too, because I never
- 6:06Speaker 1: had to see on the phone right here, lol, Anthony
- 6:10Speaker 1: is a workaholic. So so it's like they don't they don't.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Bed is just there. The rest, it's not there to
- 6:17Speaker 1: lay in and we don't even and we don't even
- 6:19Speaker 1: use we don't even like like we should be rescued
- 6:22Speaker 1: fairly even rest. It's just hard work. And sometimes people
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't understand that. They see certain things, it looks so easy.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It's like, oh, I want to do that too, and
- 6:30Speaker 1: no one really understands the bloss flood into you that
- 6:33Speaker 1: are put behind it like it's not easy. And that's
- 6:36Speaker 1: why I always say it sounds so cliche when you
- 6:38Speaker 1: say hard work pays off, but it really does, because
- 6:41Speaker 1: one thing about me, I just know hard work and
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm watching it even now just continue to pay off
- 6:47Speaker 1: in my career. And I'm not gonna stop. I know
- 6:50Speaker 1: you're not. And I'm gonna tell you this, what a
- 6:52Speaker 1: compliment When I saw your uncensored you are. You are beautiful,
- 6:57Speaker 1: You're articulate, you're smart, and and I tell you something
- 7:01Speaker 1: when they when they put you in these roles of
- 7:02Speaker 1: being a daytime talk show host, you have to have layers.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You know, you know, you have to have experiences, so
- 7:09Speaker 1: when guests come to you with emotional issues, you have
- 7:12Speaker 1: to be able to talk to them. You can't look
- 7:14Speaker 1: over the producer, what I say that, what I say that,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you were you were. You were everything last night, So
- 7:23Speaker 1: so what was the goal that you were trying to
- 7:26Speaker 1: accomplish when they approach you to do uncensored for TV one.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I think for me it's just allowing people to see
- 7:33Speaker 1: who I am as a person, even though I do
- 7:35Speaker 1: feel like people know that, but just then inside glimpse
- 7:37Speaker 1: of my life and how I started and how I
- 7:40Speaker 1: made it to where I'm at today. And for me,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's more of an inspiring story for young women out
- 7:46Speaker 1: there who are trying to achieve goals to look at,
- 7:48Speaker 1: you know, the struggles are, are different things I've been
- 7:51Speaker 1: through to get to where I'm at, and just to
- 7:53Speaker 1: inspire people to say, you know, you could do the
- 7:56Speaker 1: same thing. None of us were born with a silver
- 7:58Speaker 1: spoon in our mouthful. Y'all worked hard and came from
- 8:01Speaker 1: humble beginnings and made you know, great lives for ourselves
- 8:04Speaker 1: and just telling other people like you can do this too,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you can she these goals. And more so for me,
- 8:12Speaker 1: it was motivating and inspiring to people out there and
- 8:14Speaker 1: just gave people inside, look at, you know, my life
- 8:17Speaker 1: and how how I did what I did and how
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna you know, because continue now that that's really
- 8:23Speaker 1: cool because when I was when I was watching it, like,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I really love the interaction between you and your son.
- 8:28Speaker 1: There was like, oh, you know, you know, produce. I
- 8:32Speaker 1: wouldn't produce a mode right there. She used to talk
- 8:35Speaker 1: show right there, right there, right there, look at look
- 8:37Speaker 1: at it right there. Every mom in the country. She
- 8:40Speaker 1: got the soccer moms right there, she got the regular moms,
- 8:43Speaker 1: a single mom, she got every mom and that moment
- 8:46Speaker 1: right there, and then said, at the age you're at
- 8:49Speaker 1: right now, and and and in years, they've a lot
- 8:51Speaker 1: of people have tried to lock that age group that
- 8:54Speaker 1: you control right now, and I'm just learning, you know,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know, you know, you got all the right people
- 8:59Speaker 1: around you. If if the offer comes to you, go
- 9:01Speaker 1: for a girl because you're ready. Yeah, well, Roshan, I'll
- 9:05Speaker 1: be calling you like I did in the past. What
- 9:09Speaker 1: am I supposed to do? Because that that would be
- 9:11Speaker 1: a new field for me and something I know, you know,
- 9:15Speaker 1: So I'm just appreciative to have people like you in
- 9:18Speaker 1: my corner no matter what I decided. And it's time,
- 9:21Speaker 1: It's really it's time because like I said, you know,
- 9:23Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about some of the other things you're doing.
- 9:25Speaker 1: But before we transition to power and the clothing line
- 9:30Speaker 1: and and the other shows that you're doing, I experienced,
- 9:34Speaker 1: you know, emotional tragedy in my life with the hurricane
- 9:37Speaker 1: hit Houston, Texas. And then basically, you know, that's the
- 9:42Speaker 1: hurricane country, just like Puerto Rico is hurricane alley sometimes.
- 9:47Speaker 1: And but what it did to my city was devastating
- 9:51Speaker 1: because you know, you have you know, you have the
- 9:53Speaker 1: black neighborhood, you have the white where the white neighborhood's
- 9:55Speaker 1: got floated this time. Okay, the white neighbor has got
- 9:58Speaker 1: to up this time. So really knocked the city for
- 10:01Speaker 1: a loop because they did Nobody expected that, you know,
- 10:03Speaker 1: because our high end neighborhoods of Memorial or River, well
- 10:08Speaker 1: guess what they were underwater underwater. And so when I
- 10:11Speaker 1: saw what happened to Puerto Rico, can you just let
- 10:14Speaker 1: everybody know, walk us into the emotion that you were
- 10:17Speaker 1: tied to that situation there when the hurricane hit. Yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 1: it's definitely emotional. I mean, my families from Puerto Rico.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I still have family in Puerto Rico, and you're just
- 10:26Speaker 1: watching this happen and you know you're not there, so
- 10:29Speaker 1: you feel helpless. You're just watching and you can't get
- 10:31Speaker 1: in touch with anyone. You're calling, phone lines are down,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you're emailing and king responsors. You don't know if family
- 10:38Speaker 1: members are alive, Are they okay? Like those are some
- 10:41Speaker 1: of the you know, hardest days of my life, just
- 10:43Speaker 1: waiting to just get a answer yes and no, anything,
- 10:47Speaker 1: just just something like that's so hard. And then you know,
- 10:51Speaker 1: luckily all my family was okay and I did get
- 10:53Speaker 1: those responses. But what's even more heartbreaking is how we
- 10:57Speaker 1: watched out, you know, the United States and our president
- 11:00Speaker 1: and kind of handled Puerto Rico became like a joke
- 11:03Speaker 1: and oh it's not as good as as as you're thinking.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Then you know, you never saw anything else about Puerto
- 11:08Speaker 1: Rico on the news or anything. If you go to
- 11:10Speaker 1: Puerto Rico. Now, yeah, San Juan, which is the main town,
- 11:13Speaker 1: looks somewhat like itself, but go a couple of miles
- 11:17Speaker 1: up into you know, some of the town that's still
- 11:20Speaker 1: it's just horrible. Like there's still places with no electricity,
- 11:24Speaker 1: there's still places with no running water, and you just
- 11:26Speaker 1: would never know that. It's all of a sudden, Puerto
- 11:29Speaker 1: Rico just got forgotten about so I'm here to continue
- 11:32Speaker 1: to bring the word out into the kneeds of Puerto Rico,
- 11:35Speaker 1: continue to raise money, do what I can. Um Spike
- 11:38Speaker 1: Lee actually called me over the weekend and we're planning
- 11:41Speaker 1: something together in Puerto Rico. So just continuing to keep
- 11:45Speaker 1: the spotlight on it, because if we're just going off
- 11:47Speaker 1: a television you would think Puerto Rico's back in tip
- 11:50Speaker 1: top shape and and doesn't need a thing. And that's
- 11:52Speaker 1: just not the case, right, And that's why I wanted
- 11:55Speaker 1: to make sure I brought that up in our interview,
- 11:57Speaker 1: because this is bigger than um a movie you're in,
- 12:02Speaker 1: a TV show I'm producing, because people's lives. This is
- 12:06Speaker 1: real life, this is truth. This is real life. But
- 12:08Speaker 1: but you do have some big things happening and and
- 12:11Speaker 1: coming up, we're gonna talk about the the power you know.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't believe how biggest God in
- 12:18Speaker 1: you just you just everywhere. We'll be back with more
- 12:22Speaker 1: money making conversations with my girl Lala Anthony stop I
- 12:27Speaker 1: got on the line one of the biggest entertainers in
- 12:30Speaker 1: the game today, La La Anthony. How before before we
- 12:36Speaker 1: move on to guys, don't know, before we move on
- 12:40Speaker 1: to power during the show. I always tell people always
- 12:44Speaker 1: about relationships and how the support system that you put
- 12:47Speaker 1: around it. And you mentioned four very powerful people that
- 12:51Speaker 1: I that I respect, that I admire that I they're
- 12:57Speaker 1: a new age entrepreneur, uh Eras, Serena Williams, and Kim
- 13:03Speaker 1: Kardashian and just shortly you just tell us, you know,
- 13:06Speaker 1: you mentioned their names, so they had to be some
- 13:08Speaker 1: importance and when when times needed advice needed, what do
- 13:12Speaker 1: they do for you? Well that that they're my group
- 13:15Speaker 1: of girlfriends that are also in the business, so we've
- 13:18Speaker 1: all experienced the same things, or you know, one of
- 13:21Speaker 1: us that might be more well versed in something than
- 13:24Speaker 1: the other. And it's great to have these strong, independent
- 13:27Speaker 1: women that you can call friends and you can call
- 13:29Speaker 1: on for advice, whether it's personal life just you know,
- 13:32Speaker 1: chit chat girl talk, or whether it's about a new
- 13:35Speaker 1: business insurance, Like, hey, I know you might have worked
- 13:37Speaker 1: with these people before. I know you know more about
- 13:40Speaker 1: this than I do. How do I approach this? Like
- 13:42Speaker 1: you want that kind of support system? And as women,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you know, we're so used to women, you know, being
- 13:47Speaker 1: caddie and tearing each other down that it's so great
- 13:50Speaker 1: to have a strong group of women that just are
- 13:53Speaker 1: positive and lift each other up. So it's been amazing
- 13:57Speaker 1: to have them in my life and and use them
- 13:58Speaker 1: as a source of know knowledge and inspiration. It's been great.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And now each one is layered and that's what I
- 14:05Speaker 1: really like about it. And they truly have been in
- 14:07Speaker 1: the spotlight, I mean by like goods, by like challenge,
- 14:11Speaker 1: bylight negative and they all handled like queens, like like
- 14:15Speaker 1: queens of the business, like been there, done that, and
- 14:19Speaker 1: you're handling everything you're supposed to do like a queen
- 14:22Speaker 1: that you are in this business. Day. Let's go to power,
- 14:25Speaker 1: power now that that's taken over my life, I'm being
- 14:31Speaker 1: honest with you. I remember you told me about used
- 14:33Speaker 1: to my new show Power, and we've got you Steve
- 14:35Speaker 1: Harvard Morning Show, just talk about it. I did not
- 14:38Speaker 1: see the popularity is. I didn't see that power has
- 14:42Speaker 1: been to become as powerful ass I know. Just just
- 14:47Speaker 1: walk me through the you getting on the show and
- 14:51Speaker 1: then watching it blow up like this, la la. It's unreal.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Sometimes I still look at it, Lakisha say, Lakisha, Lakisha,
- 14:59Speaker 1: look Filasia. It's kind of looking at it like this
- 15:02Speaker 1: is really happened. But I'll tell you what it's. It's
- 15:05Speaker 1: a passion in the vision. I remember when sixty years
- 15:08Speaker 1: ago because he said is an executive one of the
- 15:11Speaker 1: creators of the show. I remember when he came to
- 15:13Speaker 1: me and said, I'm working on the show Power. It's
- 15:16Speaker 1: gonna be this and that, and he told me it
- 15:19Speaker 1: was gonna be exactly what it became. And that's just
- 15:22Speaker 1: to our our audience out there about you know, having
- 15:25Speaker 1: passion in a dream like he said it was gonna
- 15:27Speaker 1: be exactly what it became. And he was like, when
- 15:29Speaker 1: opportunity presents itself, I want you to audition. I want
- 15:33Speaker 1: you to you know, audition and come on board. But
- 15:35Speaker 1: I worked hard for that role. I auditioned, I earned it.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But he had this vision and it really became what
- 15:41Speaker 1: he said it would. And it's it's been amazing that
- 15:44Speaker 1: we're now going to be on season five that comes on.
- 15:47Speaker 1: That's your life first, still breaking records and killing numbers,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and season five which is killing it. And just so
- 15:55Speaker 1: you know, I was, I was so mad when I
- 15:57Speaker 1: thought that they killed you off, girl. I was well
- 16:00Speaker 1: so bad. You know, people were literally making shirts that
- 16:06Speaker 1: was like, where's the key show crazy, Where were your boy?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Your boy was buying and making them? Okay? Because I
- 16:13Speaker 1: was mad. So funny, it was so funny just to
- 16:16Speaker 1: see the movement. But it's a testament to how invested
- 16:19Speaker 1: people are at the show and these characters. It's a
- 16:21Speaker 1: great thing. And when a little girl got shot, I know,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I did not see that as a writer. As a writer,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I did not see that coming. I did not see.
- 16:31Speaker 1: But when she was talking all that smack to that dude,
- 16:34Speaker 1: I looked at my wife. She gonna shot. He's gonna
- 16:37Speaker 1: shoot her. And when she when she fell down, I went.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Then I turned to a little scary brother, you know,
- 16:43Speaker 1: hide behind the wall. I was just ye. But but
- 16:46Speaker 1: but it's so great to see your part of something
- 16:49Speaker 1: great because that's television history that you're involved in, and
- 16:52Speaker 1: it's about and that's about the testament to the brands
- 16:54Speaker 1: that you're tied into. Let's let's let's twut you a
- 16:57Speaker 1: couple of little gears here and go to the entrepreneurship side,
- 16:59Speaker 1: and you your clothing line that you've launched. The genes
- 17:04Speaker 1: right something, the genes and all tell us about the
- 17:08Speaker 1: whole process. How does want to launch a line like that,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and why did you think there was a need for
- 17:13Speaker 1: a line like that? So I wanted to do the
- 17:16Speaker 1: Denom line just because you know, people would start me
- 17:19Speaker 1: retire or write me on social media or when they
- 17:21Speaker 1: saw me about my style and how much they loved
- 17:24Speaker 1: my style. And I felt like, you know, people like
- 17:26Speaker 1: how addressed they like my vibe, why don't I create
- 17:28Speaker 1: a line to bring this kind of vibe to everyone
- 17:31Speaker 1: out there? And the reason I partner with Lord and
- 17:33Speaker 1: Taylor the line is exclusive right now for Lord and
- 17:36Speaker 1: Taylor's because I felt like they understood my vision. And
- 17:40Speaker 1: one of the things about my vision was I wanted
- 17:42Speaker 1: my clothing line to go from size zero. I wanted
- 17:46Speaker 1: my clothing line to reflect what the world looked like today.
- 17:50Speaker 1: You know, when you go outside, you're not just seeing
- 17:52Speaker 1: size zero's walking around, You're seeing everything and all women
- 17:56Speaker 1: look beautiful at all, you know, shapes and sizes, and
- 17:59Speaker 1: Lord Shaylor's got that well. People will be surprised to
- 18:02Speaker 1: know is there's so many places that they don't want
- 18:03Speaker 1: to go over a size tent, like they won't even
- 18:05Speaker 1: touch it. You know, they don't feel like that their
- 18:08Speaker 1: brand or their marketing. And I didn't want to be
- 18:10Speaker 1: involved in companies like that. So we brought this clothing
- 18:13Speaker 1: line to life, and it's been extremely um successful and
- 18:16Speaker 1: it's something that I'm really proud of. Well you should be,
- 18:20Speaker 1: because you got it. I have six sisters and each
- 18:23Speaker 1: of them, you know, they're not all the same size,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and they fit in at zero to twenty four. Okay,
- 18:29Speaker 1: so they happy. They're happy. And it's important that you
- 18:34Speaker 1: the reason that's why you're successful, because you recognize that
- 18:37Speaker 1: all sizes matter and that that's that's that's not just
- 18:41Speaker 1: a corner phrase, because it does. Because I know some
- 18:45Speaker 1: clothing lines they said, we're only dealing with petits all
- 18:48Speaker 1: dealing and you get over to they don't even know
- 18:51Speaker 1: you exist. And that's not fair. That's not fair. That's
- 18:55Speaker 1: not And I had people I met with that said,
- 18:57Speaker 1: we love the line, but we're only gonna, you know,
- 18:59Speaker 1: service to size ten or twelve. And as much as
- 19:02Speaker 1: some of those businesses were big and I wanted to
- 19:04Speaker 1: be in business, I had to say no because that's
- 19:06Speaker 1: not what I represent. You know, I represent all shapes
- 19:09Speaker 1: and all sizes, and I had to stick to my guns.
- 19:11Speaker 1: And I was happy to find a place like Lord
- 19:14Speaker 1: and Taylor that got it and wanted to do this
- 19:16Speaker 1: business with me. So your mom, she's beautiful, your mama
- 19:21Speaker 1: VH one, you will be hosted. This is what you do, La, La,
- 19:24Speaker 1: this is what you do. Tell us about hosting uh
- 19:28Speaker 1: dear Mama Mother's Day Special on v H one. Yeah,
- 19:31Speaker 1: so I did it last year. We're doing it again
- 19:33Speaker 1: this year, myself and Anthony Anderson, And it's just is
- 19:37Speaker 1: getting like Steve Harvey now you know that, right, yea, yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you need it all and we always i mean, he's
- 19:43Speaker 1: such a funny guy. Like we have so much doesn't
- 19:46Speaker 1: even feel like work. We're over there just cleaning. But
- 19:49Speaker 1: to do the show and moms out there and single
- 19:53Speaker 1: moms and working moms and just really show love to
- 19:57Speaker 1: the moms is a great thing. And you know, we
- 19:59Speaker 1: have other celebrity guests who honor their moms, but then
- 20:02Speaker 1: we find moms like in the military we want to
- 20:05Speaker 1: honor and just different moms all over you know, the world.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And it's just an amazing kind of pull your heart
- 20:11Speaker 1: string thing to be a part of. And I'm happy
- 20:14Speaker 1: to be hosting it again this year. And that's important
- 20:17Speaker 1: because I love the fact that, you know, because because
- 20:20Speaker 1: when it first came out, now used to single mams,
- 20:23Speaker 1: traditional mams. You know all these layers. And again you
- 20:27Speaker 1: involved in another project that is fully encompassing you. Like
- 20:32Speaker 1: I said, I just want you to understand who we're talking,
- 20:35Speaker 1: who I'm talking to, and who you're listening to. A
- 20:37Speaker 1: young lady who's very aware of her brand and very
- 20:41Speaker 1: aware of her fan base. She's not singing out a
- 20:44Speaker 1: certain group of people, say this is who I'm gonna
- 20:46Speaker 1: talk to you Are you got your own just John
- 20:49Speaker 1: hug around everybody, la la, And that's important. And I
- 20:53Speaker 1: hope you understand what I'm saying. And you got that
- 20:56Speaker 1: You're gonna keep winning like that, and and I believe that.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I believe that. Now let's let's talk about you did
- 21:01Speaker 1: a book. That's when you do just Steve Harvard Talk Show,
- 21:05Speaker 1: you said, over there you book. Now you got another
- 21:07Speaker 1: book coming out? Are you writing another book? What's happening?
- 21:10Speaker 1: So I'm working on another book. But the good thing
- 21:12Speaker 1: with the first book that you're talking about, the Love Playbook,
- 21:15Speaker 1: that one um number one of the New York Times.
- 21:18Speaker 1: She just bragging that she's just bragging that sheging, that's
- 21:22Speaker 1: just throwing that out there. But the good thing about
- 21:24Speaker 1: that book is I'm taking the Steve Harvey and following
- 21:29Speaker 1: your your motto and we're turning that book into a movie. Yeah,
- 21:34Speaker 1: the same way we did would Think Like a Man,
- 21:36Speaker 1: which I was in Think Like a Man. It's amazing
- 21:39Speaker 1: and we're um. I partnered up with Queen Latifa and
- 21:42Speaker 1: her company and now we're working with lions Gate and
- 21:46Speaker 1: we're turning the Love Playbook into a movie. Now. See
- 21:49Speaker 1: that's that's wonderful because of the fact that the franchise
- 21:52Speaker 1: and then then you want to take that and you
- 21:54Speaker 1: turn into a sitcom. Okay, because understand all these models
- 21:58Speaker 1: and when you look back, because what you're doing is
- 22:00Speaker 1: multiple streams of income and that's a that's a that's
- 22:04Speaker 1: and making money while you're sleeping. That is the goal
- 22:07Speaker 1: here you at that right age, the eighteens and thirty
- 22:10Speaker 1: four millennial group will follow you. I want everybody to
- 22:14Speaker 1: know how powerful you are as an entrepreneur, how you
- 22:17Speaker 1: winning in the in the world and and and just
- 22:20Speaker 1: in the world of information. The fact that you still
- 22:23Speaker 1: like like you, like you identified in this in the
- 22:26Speaker 1: uncensored to day, you still have love for Puerto Rico
- 22:30Speaker 1: and and you're divorce of Puerto Rico. Now you're divorce
- 22:35Speaker 1: for women all over were saying, okay, you want to
- 22:37Speaker 1: wear some dnom James, I got you, I got you
- 22:40Speaker 1: Zero the twenty four I got you. I got you.
- 22:44Speaker 1: O can you hosting Mother's Day? Dear Mama on Mother's Day?
- 22:47Speaker 1: May seven? I got you, Singer mom, I got you,
- 22:51Speaker 1: Military mom. I got you working Mom. I got you

- 22:57Speaker 1: Poe Mall. This is what we do. So you keep winning, girl.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm so great you took time to talk to Rochan McDonald.
