- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and a stub me true good to other. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me. You gotta turning you, you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out of the turn turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water got come come on your baby, ha ha, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: share will Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on dig me now wanting only Steve Harvey Man
- 2:10Speaker 1: old man, got a radio show. Yeah, I do. God
- 2:13Speaker 1: so big to me, man, I just have to tell
- 2:15Speaker 1: you about it. I can't help it. It's rather obvious
- 2:19Speaker 1: to me how big, how good God is. He's absolutely tremendous.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He's off the chain. He on one, he'd be clowning,
- 2:32Speaker 1: he'd be just showing out. Man. I'm just over here,
- 2:35Speaker 1: just on receiving it. You know, if you're out there,
- 2:39Speaker 1: start your mission today, Start your mission today? What are
- 2:45Speaker 1: you waiting for? Why do we as people delay what
- 2:52Speaker 1: we want or delay the process to begin what we want?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Our hopes, our dreams, our desires. Why won't you start
- 3:04Speaker 1: your mission today? Why don't we all decide together that
- 3:10Speaker 1: just individually. Look, you're listening. You got something that you've
- 3:14Speaker 1: been dreaming about. You got an ambition of yours that's
- 3:18Speaker 1: not yet fulfilled. You got goals you haven't accomplished yet.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Everybody has them, everybody's got on them. Everybody's got something
- 3:26Speaker 1: that's that's on the table that they haven't yet attacked yet.
- 3:30Speaker 1: What are you waiting for? Start your mission today? Stop
- 3:34Speaker 1: the procrastination. Now, the procrastination is only hurting you yourself.
- 3:41Speaker 1: If you got a goal or aspiration, a dream and
- 3:44Speaker 1: you fall off track momentarily, you can get back to
- 3:47Speaker 1: that because God knows where you're left off. Now. You
- 3:52Speaker 1: may have to accomplish a few more things since you
- 3:54Speaker 1: stop for a long period of time, but God know
- 3:56Speaker 1: where you left off, you can get back on track.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I look, man, this dream of being on TV since
- 4:02Speaker 1: I was a kid, and it got off track. Now
- 4:05Speaker 1: it got off track. I just kept it as one
- 4:08Speaker 1: of the dreams. And in some real dog moments when
- 4:11Speaker 1: it looked like it wasn't gonna happen, all I was
- 4:15Speaker 1: hanging on too was just the hope that one day
- 4:17Speaker 1: it could. But that's what faith is really about. Faith
- 4:21Speaker 1: is the belief in things that you cannot see. But
- 4:25Speaker 1: faith gives you the confidence to keep hoping. Man, Sometimes
- 4:29Speaker 1: it just keep hope alive. Sometimes you heard Jesse Jackson said,
- 4:33Speaker 1: just keep hope alive. Sometimes, man, it's just the hope.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I was hanging on the hope. And I'm talking about
- 4:41Speaker 1: when it got real ugly and funky out there for me,
- 4:44Speaker 1: when it looked like I wasn't gonna ever make it,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and all of the facts was in and everything pointed
- 4:51Speaker 1: in the direction you're not gonna make it. You then't
- 4:53Speaker 1: really messed up this time. Then I sat there and
- 4:57Speaker 1: I just hung on to the hope. But man, that's
- 5:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If you got a dream on aspiration
- 5:04Speaker 1: of vision or something, when you fall off track and
- 5:08Speaker 1: you want to go get back in line, God holds
- 5:11Speaker 1: your place. See. He held on to that from me.
- 5:14Speaker 1: He knew I was off tracking out the line, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: he said, okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 5:19Speaker 1: be on TV that when you get it together and
- 5:21Speaker 1: you quit tripping and you come in your turn to me,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna hold your place, put you back in line.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Then we're gonna finish your journey. That took me a
- 5:28Speaker 1: lot longer to get here than I wanted to. But
- 5:31Speaker 1: then it was necessary because I needed all of the
- 5:33Speaker 1: mishaps to happen to me along the way. So when
- 5:36Speaker 1: I got on the radio one day, which I did
- 5:38Speaker 1: not see coming, Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's why I say it every day. See, because of
- 5:43Speaker 1: this radio show that I didn't see coming. Now I
- 5:46Speaker 1: have stories to tell, I got experiences to share, and
- 5:51Speaker 1: I can tell you about me better than I can
- 5:53Speaker 1: tell you about anybody. And I've been through enough where
- 5:57Speaker 1: it's relatable, where enough people can go. Man, that happened
- 6:01Speaker 1: to me, appreciate you saying that that's what it was for. See,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I get it now. See at the time, though I
- 6:06Speaker 1: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 6:09Speaker 1: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 6:12Speaker 1: lot of stuff He was pulling off on me, But
- 6:15Speaker 1: in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 6:20Speaker 1: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 6:25Speaker 1: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 6:30Speaker 1: there and dieed wrong. He forgave me, he said, because, man,
- 6:34Speaker 1: if you ever come to me, I have a plan
- 6:38Speaker 1: for you that it is going to be far and above.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 6:45Speaker 1: I did. I just got sick of me, good and
- 6:49Speaker 1: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And then God started working and here I am today.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now see threw it me yet? Nope? Have I arrived jet? Nope?
- 7:01Speaker 1: But guess what the journey is cool? You know. It's
- 7:05Speaker 1: like I was talking to this young brother the other
- 7:07Speaker 1: day about comedy and he's really good stand up. You know,
- 7:11Speaker 1: this young dude is really good. He said, Man, what
- 7:14Speaker 1: is this I feel every night before I go on stage.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. I just wanted off me,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I said, sir, listen to me, you young dude. This
- 7:24Speaker 1: thing that climbs on my back every night before I
- 7:28Speaker 1: go on stage. I don't know what it is. It's
- 7:31Speaker 1: got something to do with pressure, It's got something to
- 7:33Speaker 1: do with anticipation. It's got a whole lot to do
- 7:36Speaker 1: with the fear of falling. He said, What you mean
- 7:39Speaker 1: by that? I said, every night I walk out on stage,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's like I'm about to go and step off a cliff.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I said, it's a sickening feeling. He said, man, but
- 7:48Speaker 1: you do so well. I said, that's because the parachute opens.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I say, but I want you to understand something. When
- 7:54Speaker 1: I first walk out there, it's just stepping off the cliff.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Now these jokes provide a parachute which slows my descent
- 8:04Speaker 1: when I jump off the cliff, and I turned it
- 8:06Speaker 1: into a glide. And then I take the audience this
- 8:09Speaker 1: way and I swing them back over that way. We
- 8:12Speaker 1: might swing out to the Colorado Rockies. We may go
- 8:15Speaker 1: down to Miami with this joke. We may take it
- 8:18Speaker 1: on out to LA and I just swing back and
- 8:20Speaker 1: forth till I land softly. The crowd cheers. The night
- 8:24Speaker 1: is over with, I said, but it's been too many
- 8:27Speaker 1: nights though. When I walked off that cliff and I
- 8:29Speaker 1: pulled the cord in, the parachute didn't open. I said,
- 8:32Speaker 1: Now I'm just free falling out there for thirty minutes.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Ain't no jokes working. Ain't the parachute didn't open. I said,
- 8:39Speaker 1: so see, that's what it's like for me. And then
- 8:42Speaker 1: you know what I found out. If you don't walked
- 8:44Speaker 1: off the cliff in life, and you ain't got no
- 8:47Speaker 1: God in your life. It's like not having a parachute.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You step off the cliff and you just free falling. Now,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I see we all Now that fall gets you closer
- 8:58Speaker 1: to the grave, right, see all heading to the grave
- 9:01Speaker 1: from the moment we're born. But the cool thing about
- 9:03Speaker 1: a relationship with God is when you step off the
- 9:06Speaker 1: cliff and you got God here a parachute. You're still
- 9:10Speaker 1: going down, but it's a nice ride, and God just
- 9:13Speaker 1: helps your your descent appear more like a rise and
- 9:17Speaker 1: then more like a euphoric fall. Instead of not having
- 9:21Speaker 1: no God in your life and you just walking off
- 9:24Speaker 1: that cliff every day, free falling. Ain't got no cored
- 9:27Speaker 1: you steady pulling, you, houling the whole way because you've
- 9:31Speaker 1: messed around with yourself, and ain't let God come into
- 9:34Speaker 1: your life and provide a parachute for you. I would
- 9:37Speaker 1: rather have a parachute since I got to jump every day,
- 9:41Speaker 1: than to not have one. God has been like a
- 9:44Speaker 1: parachute from me. Ask me why where that came from.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I can't tell you. But like I always say, most
- 9:51Speaker 1: good things that happened in my life that I can't explain.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It's usually him. You're listening. Alright, alright, alright, alright, good

- 11:16Speaker 1: all right, mister ready to love. That's what we put
- 11:22Speaker 1: some respect on his name, right, I like it? I like, yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 1: that's gonna respect. Damn it. Put it on that. Everybody
- 11:29Speaker 1: knows that you are a lover of company. I'll put
- 11:32Speaker 1: it like that, you love company. No, they don't. No,
- 11:35Speaker 1: they don't know that. Don't even out the universe. So

- 11:54Speaker 1: say homie, don't play that. I don't play. I don't.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I don't like people who just in the neighborhood. So
- 12:00Speaker 1: I decided to drop by. I don't like none of that,
- 12:04Speaker 1: none of that. I'm not with, none of that. I
- 12:07Speaker 1: don't do parties, none of that, none of the hell
- 12:13Speaker 1: to the no, no, why is that? I'm curious. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't know. I'm gonna let you in on a secret.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm nice to people, but I don't like people. How
- 12:24Speaker 1: about that. That's the way I am. You got it
- 12:28Speaker 1: lit the loneness looking out the window. Everybody, are you
- 12:31Speaker 1: that guy? I'm not even looking at the window because
- 12:33Speaker 1: if people see me home time, it ain't gonna want
- 12:35Speaker 1: to come in. So no, I don't go to the window.
- 12:38Speaker 1: No I don't win the game. Everybody. Let me tell
- 12:44Speaker 1: you something. I know. I know you can see my
- 12:47Speaker 1: car in the yard and my door open with just
- 12:50Speaker 1: the screen, and you know, having the old houses, and
- 12:52Speaker 1: I still won't let your ass. And if I don't
- 12:54Speaker 1: know you coming, you can see me. You can see
- 12:58Speaker 1: me walking around in the house, and I won't let
- 13:01Speaker 1: you see somebody move, Jenny, won't even acknowledge of what you. Jake,
- 13:12Speaker 1: don't like company right here? You like coming around? No,
- 13:16Speaker 1: I ain't really being gonna. I ain't battish Jake. But
- 13:21Speaker 1: don't come back here either. I don't know. I got
- 13:23Speaker 1: a cheap ed room apartment. Sure that I turned one
- 13:25Speaker 1: room into a meeting room, so you can't sleep both,
- 13:32Speaker 1: all right, Listen, guys coming up at thirty two minute,
- 13:35Speaker 1: adapt to the hour. We're gonna do a little bit
- 13:37Speaker 1: of a ass. Bitter man, man, bitter man. Right after this,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you're listening show. It is time for bitter Man, asked
- 13:49Speaker 1: bitter Man. All right, so what were you saying? What?
- 13:55Speaker 1: We just continue to how the opening was. None of
- 13:58Speaker 1: this is to help nobody. Okay, maybe he'll answer a
- 14:05Speaker 1: question and I can get something out at it. Nah,
- 14:08Speaker 1: you're not you're not. You're not gonna be fulfilled with
- 14:12Speaker 1: these answers. I'm afraid to ask. I never thought about
- 14:19Speaker 1: it that way, with these damn answers. Okay, all right,
- 14:23Speaker 1: jay a bitter Man. This one is from Sonia and
- 14:27Speaker 1: West Hollywood. She says, I'm new to LA and I've
- 14:30Speaker 1: moved in with my cousin and her boyfriend three weeks ago.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I worked nights and I'm usually home by two am.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I got home Friday night and eight or nine people
- 14:39Speaker 1: were at the house, sitting on the floor in a circle.
- 14:42Speaker 1: There was a lady in the circle and she was
- 14:43Speaker 1: speaking to the spirits of of people's dead relatives. This
- 14:49Speaker 1: freaked me out, and I want to move out, but
- 14:51Speaker 1: my cousin needs my part of the rent money. What
- 14:55Speaker 1: should I do now? You gotta help goes. It just
- 15:01Speaker 1: goes to show what people will do to get your
- 15:05Speaker 1: ass to move it. I mean they'll go to no ends.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And if you if you come home and they're having
- 15:12Speaker 1: a seance and talking to dead spirits, Basically they're saying
- 15:17Speaker 1: to you, why you don't see this what they're saying
- 15:21Speaker 1: to you, They don't want your ass there. You know,
- 15:25Speaker 1: they got eighty nine people in a circle. I'm sure
- 15:27Speaker 1: they can chip it on the rent. So they just
- 15:30Speaker 1: don't want your ass there. That's all that. Yeah, you
- 15:37Speaker 1: wouldn't inside into the circle. You understand why you wouldn't
- 15:42Speaker 1: invite people. God, get your get your ass out. Just
- 15:50Speaker 1: how wait a minute, somebody's coming through yours all right,
- 16:04Speaker 1: good man. This one's from Tamanni Tamani in a Memphis
- 16:09Speaker 1: Tamani says, I'm forty two and my dad and my
- 16:11Speaker 1: stepmom do not get along. I'm close to my stepmom
- 16:15Speaker 1: and I'd let her stay at my house if she
- 16:17Speaker 1: needed a night away from my dad, But I try
- 16:19Speaker 1: not to get into whatever they're fussing about. Last week,
- 16:22Speaker 1: she called me and was going off about my dad
- 16:25Speaker 1: sleeping with some woman he met at the casino. And
- 16:28Speaker 1: the lady must have been a nasty woman because he
- 16:30Speaker 1: has given her some type of because he has given
- 16:33Speaker 1: her some type of infection. I don't need to know
- 16:36Speaker 1: all of that. How can I set boundaries with my
- 16:39Speaker 1: step mom going forward? Oh? Okay, first of all, listen
- 16:44Speaker 1: to me doing it. I'm gonna help you on this.
- 16:47Speaker 1: There's a sab. You need to get it for your
- 16:49Speaker 1: daddy right away, right away. Okay, you're daddy. A sab,
- 16:55Speaker 1: a cream that you Daddy needs to get his hand,
- 17:03Speaker 1: some ointment right way. Okay, even you writing the letter
- 17:09Speaker 1: is getting worse. So there's a cream, some ointment, spray
- 17:14Speaker 1: sad that will help your daddy. What you need to
- 17:19Speaker 1: do is focus on helping your daddy light the way.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Get get that cream. I think there's a patch that
- 17:26Speaker 1: you can wear that will clear all that up. But
- 17:29Speaker 1: daddy needs daddy. Daddy needs help and the right guys
- 17:34Speaker 1: and the right you need to reach in them in
- 17:37Speaker 1: that cabinet. Get that old thing of penalicilling and bring
- 17:40Speaker 1: that back and let daddy help take a couple of them.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You know, I'm always a couple of more penicilling left
- 17:45Speaker 1: in the bottle. You know, Hey, if it's not good
- 17:49Speaker 1: on his stomach, timing mixing in a biscuit, you won't
- 17:53Speaker 1: never know that the guy put your daddy need one
- 17:58Speaker 1: of these commercials. Got a ball TV all day over,
- 18:01Speaker 1: Privai privilege, You need one of these needs. He needs
- 18:08Speaker 1: some test recyclean up what he needed. We're moving on
- 18:14Speaker 1: right now. I think we get good point still in
- 18:17Speaker 1: Kansas City, bitter Man says. My husband and I are
- 18:20Speaker 1: sixty one years old, sixty one years young, and we
- 18:23Speaker 1: still enjoy hanging out and having fun. My husband is
- 18:26Speaker 1: a social butterfly, and he has to be at every event.
- 18:29Speaker 1: He goes to pro basketball games, a Kentucky Derby, the
- 18:33Speaker 1: super Bowl, the All Star Games, festivals in Jamaica, and
- 18:36Speaker 1: all kinds of events. This takes time and a lot
- 18:40Speaker 1: of money to plan and go through with, and we
- 18:42Speaker 1: just don't have it like that anymore. I need him
- 18:45Speaker 1: to sit his behind down and stop wasting money. Will
- 18:47Speaker 1: he ever grow out of this stage? Bits her man. No, No,
- 18:52Speaker 1: he's not gonna blut. This is what it's called. I
- 18:55Speaker 1: know you know what golf is. Anybody know golf? When
- 18:57Speaker 1: you play golf, play the first man, then you play
- 19:00Speaker 1: the back nine. Your daddy is on the back nine
- 19:03Speaker 1: of life. Okay, on the back he's on the back
- 19:08Speaker 1: nine of life. He got maybe four five more holes
- 19:12Speaker 1: to go. Let your damn daddy enjoy him steal and
- 19:20Speaker 1: just your husband enjoy himself because this this is the
- 19:24Speaker 1: back nine. And when you played the back nine and
- 19:27Speaker 1: hurrying up, you're hurrying up. Yeah, well he's finding money.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I don't know what she having. He keep finding He
- 19:37Speaker 1: keep finding money to do what he wanted to do.
- 19:39Speaker 1: If you were at the super Bowl and the Kentucky Derby,
- 19:44Speaker 1: come on, ye, all right, he got some money you
- 19:49Speaker 1: don't know nothing about, right, all right? Last one bitter Man,
- 19:53Speaker 1: Last one Perry and Chicago says. I'm a single dad.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I have an eighteen year old son that I'm allowing
- 19:58Speaker 1: to remain in my home until he finished just his
- 20:00Speaker 1: college prep cup classes. I found out that he's been
- 20:03Speaker 1: sinking his girlfriend in the house late at night, and
- 20:05Speaker 1: they record themselves having sex in my house. My son
- 20:08Speaker 1: plugged his phone into my laptop, so the video was
- 20:11Speaker 1: saved on my computer. I've already given my ignorant son
- 20:14Speaker 1: a stern warning when I really wanted to fight him
- 20:17Speaker 1: like a man. Am I supposed to tell his girlfriend's
- 20:19Speaker 1: mom about this or not? She's nineteen? No, No, a
- 20:23Speaker 1: nice house, a nice house with food and alcohol and
- 20:27Speaker 1: is warning there is a place for a young person
- 20:30Speaker 1: to have sex. That's what they go overdo. That's what
- 20:34Speaker 1: I don't know. Why are you surprised? Why you got
- 20:37Speaker 1: a nice place? Yeah? Why are you tripping that says
- 20:42Speaker 1: let's have sex at my mom's house. Yeah, there ain't
- 20:45Speaker 1: nothing you can do by this? All right? Never, thank you,

- 25:36Speaker 1: You know, he caught brother Derek Moses with his wife
- 25:39Speaker 1: Tania lives in the Chick fil A line kissing in
- 25:42Speaker 1: the drive too, So I rather had no. We're gonna

- 26:22Speaker 1: on her face and up family something fish. She was
- 26:30Speaker 1: smiling when she left here, and when she left it

- 27:03Speaker 1: the task, but these other two, are you all gonna
- 27:07Speaker 1: step in and help out on this drive? No? No,

- 28:25Speaker 1: and he went he went off the bibble. He said,
- 28:28Speaker 1: shame on your dumb ass. Just what he said, shame
- 28:35Speaker 1: your dumb ass. If you don't find it, if you
- 28:40Speaker 1: don't find you don't find an egg you hid, you
- 28:44Speaker 1: do it all right on the way out. The Gospel
- 28:49Speaker 1: pool party is at three pm on Sunday after Eastern
- 28:53Speaker 1: Services over. We want all there are new rules that
- 28:56Speaker 1: will not be any but Kinni's allowed. No Bikinner's allowed.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Due to COVID. Our whole congregation has gained a lot
- 29:04Speaker 1: of weight due to COVID. All right, all right, thank you.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, entertainment and
- 29:09Speaker 1: national news. Right after this. You're listening to this Dave
- 29:15Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, So in today's entertainment news,
- 29:21Speaker 1: Sharon Osborne will no longer be seen or heard on
- 29:24Speaker 1: the CBS daytime show The Talk I'm sure you heard
- 29:27Speaker 1: about this, yeah, woomed. In a statement, CBS says events
- 29:32Speaker 1: of the March tenth broadcast we're upsetting to everyone involved,
- 29:35Speaker 1: including the audience watching at home. As part of our review,
- 29:38Speaker 1: we concluded that Sharon's behavior toured her co host during
- 29:41Speaker 1: the March tenth episode did not align with our values
- 29:45Speaker 1: for a respectable, respectful workplace. We also did not find
- 29:49Speaker 1: any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided
- 29:55Speaker 1: any of the hosts. At the same time, we acknowledge
- 29:58Speaker 1: the network and studio teams, as well as the showrunners,
- 30:01Speaker 1: are accountable for what happened during that broadcast, as it
- 30:04Speaker 1: was clear the co hosts were not properly prepared by
- 30:07Speaker 1: the staff for a complex and sensitive discussion involving race.
- 30:12Speaker 1: During this week's hiatus, we are coordinating workshops, listening sessions,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and training about equity, inclusion and cultural awareness for the host, producers,
- 30:21Speaker 1: and crew, and going forward, we are identifying plans to
- 30:25Speaker 1: enhance the producing staff and producing procedures to better serve
- 30:29Speaker 1: the host, the production, and ultimately our viewers. Wow the
- 30:34Speaker 1: Top return with original episodes on Monday, April twelfth. Wow
- 30:40Speaker 1: We stand behind. Yes, yes, yes, yes we do. And
- 30:46Speaker 1: the March tenth episode, of course they're referring to as
- 30:48Speaker 1: the one where Sharon was yelling at Cheryl because Sharon
- 30:54Speaker 1: had huh would you say, Cheryl, well, how did you leave?
- 31:01Speaker 1: I mean, I guess she has the longest tenure there,
- 31:04Speaker 1: so maybe, yeah, I guess for all intents. Yeah, for rotating,
- 31:12Speaker 1: it was her Carrie, then with Carrie and then Sheryl
- 31:16Speaker 1: and I think they were the main three that were
- 31:18Speaker 1: kind of rotating. And then they welcomed the new two
- 31:20Speaker 1: other two co hosts this season. So yeah, good for
- 31:25Speaker 1: good for good news for Sheryl. Uh yeah, you know, hey,
- 31:30Speaker 1: you know you're yelling at her, professor very good. Could
- 31:35Speaker 1: have got real ugly professional with her. Yeah. I mean
- 31:39Speaker 1: if it were the other way around, we have to
- 31:41Speaker 1: think about that. If that were the other way around,
- 31:43Speaker 1: Cheryl would be fired. Yeah for commercial break, Yeah, she was.
- 31:50Speaker 1: They would have escorted her. Yeah. Yeah, So we gotta
- 31:55Speaker 1: say shout out to our girl, Cheryl Underwood. We'll be
- 31:58Speaker 1: talking to her, of course in her regular sum this
- 32:01Speaker 1: week later this week. And other entertainment news, Um, let's
- 32:05Speaker 1: see some thieves broke into Beyonce storage unit. They did
- 32:08Speaker 1: it twice. The culprits made off with more than a
- 32:11Speaker 1: million dollars worth of Beyonce's belongings, including expensive handbags and dresses.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Following the initial theft, which reportedly targeted three storage units,
- 32:22Speaker 1: three more units in the same storage facility were broken
- 32:25Speaker 1: into less than a week later, allegedly by the same people.
- 32:29Speaker 1: What among the second hal were handbags, kid toys and
- 32:33Speaker 1: h just you know, some sentimental stuff like pictures belonging
- 32:37Speaker 1: to a Beyonce nothing which they have nothing speck up
- 32:43Speaker 1: for rich that's right. Where is the storage though? We
- 32:48Speaker 1: talk about it? You you know that sound like that somebody? Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 1: but what you going to see Beyonce handbagging? Right, it's
- 33:02Speaker 1: taking hard formation, video costumes, we don't know, and got
- 33:08Speaker 1: a little blues toys and stuff. Come on, yeah, all right, guys,
- 33:13Speaker 1: we're moving on. Jay. It is time now for today's headlines,
- 33:17Speaker 1: staffing and trip. Thank you very very much. This is
- 33:21Speaker 1: a trip with the news. The Mayor of Nashville has
- 33:24Speaker 1: declared a state of emergency in the wake of the
- 33:26Speaker 1: flash floods this weekend that killed at least four people.
- 33:29Speaker 1: This weekend, between seven and ten inches of rain actually felt.
- 33:33Speaker 1: More than one hundred people had to be rescued from
- 33:36Speaker 1: submerged cars and the roofs of their homes and trees.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Even this latest spate of bad weather comes on the
- 33:41Speaker 1: heels of several tornadoes that touch down in the South
- 33:45Speaker 1: and Alabama and Georgia, leaving at least five people dead.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Asian and Pacific American members of the Congress traveled to
- 33:51Speaker 1: Georgia over the weekend to see four themselves the three
- 33:54Speaker 1: spots where a gunman murdered eight people week before, the
- 33:57Speaker 1: last six of the Asian women. Local authorities have not
- 34:00Speaker 1: classify the massacre as a hate crime because the suspect,
- 34:03Speaker 1: who's white, says he was trying to rid himself of
- 34:06Speaker 1: a sexual addiction. However, California Representative Judy Chiu says the
- 34:10Speaker 1: shooter had to drive for at least thirty minutes between
- 34:12Speaker 1: two of the locations, and she says that looks like
- 34:15Speaker 1: hate to her. It is clear that this was a
- 34:18Speaker 1: deliberate journey. He could have gone anywhere if it was
- 34:23Speaker 1: a sex addiction or just a bad day. Robert Aaron
- 34:27Speaker 1: Long faces several murder charges. Security is tight in Minneapolis
- 34:31Speaker 1: today with the opening arguments schedule in the case of
- 34:33Speaker 1: Derek Chauvin, that's the X cop, of course, accused of
- 34:36Speaker 1: murdering George Floyd. Mister Floyd died last May twenty fifth,
- 34:40Speaker 1: after Chauvin pressed his knee into mister Floyd's neck for
- 34:43Speaker 1: close to nine minutes as Floyd pleaded that he couldn't breathe,
- 34:47Speaker 1: even at one point calling for his mother. George Floyd's
- 34:50Speaker 1: killing spark protest against police brutality, not just in this country,
- 34:55Speaker 1: but actually in cities all over the world. They were
- 34:57Speaker 1: also protests against police brutality. The trials expected to last
- 35:00Speaker 1: for at least four weeks and be live streamed. Newly
- 35:03Speaker 1: meanted Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock wants President Biden to strongly
- 35:07Speaker 1: push back against Republican efforts to strongly against Republican efforts
- 35:11Speaker 1: in over forty states to restrict voting, and he wants
- 35:14Speaker 1: him to do that before he concentrates on revamping the
- 35:17Speaker 1: nation's infrastructure. As comes after the GOP dominated Georgia legislature
- 35:21Speaker 1: came out with a measure that even mister Biden calls sick.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Early this month. Democrats in the House, though, did pass
- 35:26Speaker 1: a voting rights bill and tied to h R one,
- 35:29Speaker 1: which actually does target Republican efforts to restrict voting and
- 35:32Speaker 1: includes provisions that would mandate states, for instance, to have
- 35:34Speaker 1: same day voted registration and provide for at least two
- 35:37Speaker 1: weeks of early voting. And old problem is they're going
- 35:39Speaker 1: to need sixty votes to get over a filibuster in
- 35:42Speaker 1: the Senate. That means they have to get ten Republicans
- 35:45Speaker 1: to go along, and that doesn't look likely. And now
- 35:48Speaker 1: a street and Dallas is being named after Botham Jean
- 35:50Speaker 1: as being called Botham Jean Boulevard, the twenty six year
- 35:52Speaker 1: old accountant watching television eating ice cream in his own
- 35:55Speaker 1: apartment in September twenty eighteen when a white female cop
- 35:58Speaker 1: named Amber Geyer she didn't know her own apartment from jeans,
- 36:02Speaker 1: and shot the innocent man to death. She's serving ten years.
- 36:05Speaker 1: She's appealing her sentence. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 36:07Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening show, It is time now to
- 36:13Speaker 1: look into the mind. Yeah, come on in, Anthony Brown,
- 36:22Speaker 1: Oh lord, oh lord, oh lord. It is a problem
- 36:27Speaker 1: that I'm having, And I don't know if anybody can
- 36:29Speaker 1: relate to this. I don't know if it's because I'm
- 36:32Speaker 1: getting older, or because I'm on the back nine of
- 36:36Speaker 1: life or what. But I have found that lately I
- 36:40Speaker 1: can't open a damn thing that I buy out the store.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I got stuff that I don't. I don't, I don't.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I can't the stuff that you twist off medication, I
- 36:55Speaker 1: can't open. I bought some joy peels the other day.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I just I threw them on the ground and just
- 37:02Speaker 1: broke the bottle because I couldn't open off. And I
- 37:06Speaker 1: don't know Joy. That's what I call them. And people
- 37:09Speaker 1: at the pharmacy know what they are. I call them.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so you do like company. I don't know
- 37:17Speaker 1: just when you when you when you're coming in, you
- 37:20Speaker 1: take care of Joy. Then you gotta go. When you
- 37:22Speaker 1: come in the morning, you gotta leave at night. You
- 37:24Speaker 1: come at night, you gotta leave in the morning. That's
- 37:27Speaker 1: the motto I lived by you on the wall. Yeah,
- 37:34Speaker 1: don't don't bring it. And my motto is, don't bring
- 37:37Speaker 1: the bag because you ain't gonna be here that long.
- 37:39Speaker 1: But anyway, get it back, and neither am I. So
- 37:48Speaker 1: it worn't out gonna be there. Jay. I bought a
- 37:54Speaker 1: bag of candy or something as best we can. And
- 37:57Speaker 1: it took me while I was riding in my truck.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Took me for about to get that bag open. I
- 38:02Speaker 1: could not get the bag or now I'm looking around
- 38:05Speaker 1: in the truck trying to find something to punch in
- 38:07Speaker 1: the bag so I can get in the bag. You
- 38:12Speaker 1: have you bought something? Have you bought something from the
- 38:14Speaker 1: store and it has a string on it like it
- 38:17Speaker 1: looks like a string or it's connected and you try
- 38:20Speaker 1: to pull it, you can't pop it. It's the strongest
- 38:23Speaker 1: damn string I've ever seen. I don't know what I
- 38:25Speaker 1: don't know what it's made of. I don't let me
- 38:29Speaker 1: tell you. You can't bite it off. You aren't know.
- 38:33Speaker 1: The hardest thing to open, man, that I bought and
- 38:36Speaker 1: I don't know who put this on there, but that
- 38:38Speaker 1: little protective seal at the top of that of a
- 38:41Speaker 1: bottle of vizine. They need to be fired. To get
- 38:45Speaker 1: that off. Took me thirty minute. I just walked around
- 38:49Speaker 1: with red eyes and I can't get it open. I
- 38:53Speaker 1: know it's to protect us from kids, But what kid
- 38:56Speaker 1: go say? Can I have some vizine? No kid, ain't
- 39:00Speaker 1: no season? Right? Yeah? How about the one where they
- 39:06Speaker 1: have the plastic. Then you have to push and turn
- 39:08Speaker 1: this way, and then you open it up and then
- 39:11Speaker 1: there's another sealed on the inside when you take the
- 39:15Speaker 1: damn tap off. Who the hell's that for? What is that?
- 39:22Speaker 1: That's not just you, it's everybody. Thank you. Coming up
- 39:25Speaker 1: at thirty four minutes after the hour. Last night was
- 39:28Speaker 1: the Night of Black Excellence. We'll talk about the NAACP
- 39:31Speaker 1: Image Awards right after this. You're listening to show well.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Saturday night was the Night of Black Excellence at the
- 39:40Speaker 1: fifty second annual NACP Image Awards, hosted by our friend
- 39:45Speaker 1: Anthony Anderson. Yeah, President Joe Biden. Vice President Kamala Harris
- 39:51Speaker 1: opened the show with a salute to Black history, culture
- 39:54Speaker 1: and achievements. Congratulations one more time to our very on

- 41:56Speaker 1: who use their hands and too often their lives to
- 41:59Speaker 1: create the few. Sure we deserve the giants and the
- 42:02Speaker 1: foot soldiers who never let their circumstances stop them from
- 42:05Speaker 1: fighting to ensure that this nation lived up to its ideals.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I stand beside the organizers and activists who refuse to
- 42:12Speaker 1: allow the stubborn realities of systemic and justice to stop
- 42:16Speaker 1: them from protesting in the streets, at the ballot boxes,
- 42:19Speaker 1: and then the halls of power. I share this award
- 42:22Speaker 1: with all those who champion progress, equity, and the truth
- 42:26Speaker 1: of who we are and who we must become as

- 44:22Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Morning Show. Coming
- 44:27Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, about four minutes after.
- 44:30Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today. Get a load of
- 44:33Speaker 1: this subject, guys, I smacked his mama in the face.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Welcome into that. Yeah, just a bit. But right now
- 44:47Speaker 1: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call. But
- 44:50Speaker 1: you got for us in a make a Wish ministry. Oh,
- 44:56Speaker 1: make a wish ministry, Go kid Baptist. This is Terrence. Man,
- 45:04Speaker 1: help you please, Brother Terrence. Yeah, how you doing? I
- 45:08Speaker 1: got your your number? You with the over the church
- 45:11Speaker 1: you went to make a witch ministry. Yes, I am,
- 45:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna help you. Well, listen, I'm I'm I'm actually uh,
- 45:19Speaker 1: I'm I'm terminally ill, brother, brother Terrence. And I don't
- 45:25Speaker 1: you know, as far as what the doctors tell me,
- 45:27Speaker 1: it could be six months or another year, but I
- 45:31Speaker 1: know my time here is definitely limited. You know. Well,
- 45:36Speaker 1: I'm sorry to hear that, but we're definitely here to
- 45:39Speaker 1: help you out with whatever you need or whatever we
- 45:42Speaker 1: can help you with. So what can we do for you? Well?
- 45:45Speaker 1: You know, I truly believe that sometimes people have and
- 45:49Speaker 1: you know, I've seen one of the old movies they
- 45:51Speaker 1: got with it got a bucket list or whatever they
- 45:53Speaker 1: called it. You know, people trying to do things before
- 45:56Speaker 1: they leave here. I guess I'm just sitting around trying
- 45:59Speaker 1: to figure out what I could with what I wanted
- 46:00Speaker 1: to do before I left this world and went on
- 46:04Speaker 1: to what he asked for me next. You know, I
- 46:07Speaker 1: don't believe in doing anything unless it's prayed on first.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, if you don't mind, maybe you can you know,
- 46:16Speaker 1: before I can tell you my wish. We prayed that
- 46:18Speaker 1: the wishould come true. You you you're not doing anything
- 46:21Speaker 1: like that. Oh no, I don't mind praying. That's what
- 46:24Speaker 1: we're here for. Bow your head with him, Yes, Yr, sir,
- 46:29Speaker 1: is your head by yes, sir, your sir, hell O
- 46:32Speaker 1: the God. We come to you in the umeless way.
- 46:34Speaker 1: We know how Lord, we ask you to touch this
- 46:37Speaker 1: young man and every which way he heard, and then
- 46:41Speaker 1: we ask you to deliver him for whatever is going
- 46:44Speaker 1: on with him, and let him know that we the
- 46:46Speaker 1: church is here to help him with whatever his needs
- 46:50Speaker 1: is in his last days. And Jesus's name, I pray
- 46:53Speaker 1: say Amen with him. It's gonna do it here. Now
- 46:59Speaker 1: you a member of the church here of New Well.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I was a member. I still consider myself. Remember it's
- 47:06Speaker 1: just been quite some time, probably over the year and
- 47:09Speaker 1: after two years, as I've been able to come, you know,
- 47:11Speaker 1: through to my my illness. But definitely I will remember that. Well,
- 47:17Speaker 1: that's all right. We're not worried about all that. We
- 47:19Speaker 1: just here to take care of your last and final wish.
- 47:23Speaker 1: That's what our minister is for. You know. We helps
- 47:26Speaker 1: people with with with anything they need. You know like that.
- 47:30Speaker 1: What what all I mean when when people call them
- 47:32Speaker 1: won't say what all of you you are? What all
- 47:35Speaker 1: of y'all helped them with? Well, we've helped them with
- 47:38Speaker 1: their rent. Uh, take them to the store, help them
- 47:43Speaker 1: with a utility bill, come out and cut the grass,
- 47:46Speaker 1: anything like that they just can't do. Take them to
- 47:49Speaker 1: the doctor's appointment. Anything we'd like to help them with,
- 47:52Speaker 1: we do exactly. Then Okay, well I pretty much got
- 47:57Speaker 1: those things taken care of. I think what I like
- 48:00Speaker 1: to do between you and and and myself, brother ton
- 48:04Speaker 1: of I've never told anyone what I'm about to tell you.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I've never been with a with with a woman too.
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'm you know, I'm thirty eight, but I've never been
- 48:17Speaker 1: with a woman. Well, I guess that might be a blessing.
- 48:21Speaker 1: You might you might be prere that's a good thing. Well,
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know, but sometimes you know I give before I leave.
- 48:27Speaker 1: I guess that's a desire that I have. And and
- 48:30Speaker 1: and uh, what I wanted to ask you was there
- 48:34Speaker 1: is a lady there at the church, and before I leave,
- 48:39Speaker 1: I think that's the woman that I would actually like
- 48:42Speaker 1: to be with. Well, I don't know if make a wish.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Ministry can support that kind of stuff. But uh go ahead,
- 48:50Speaker 1: let me hear. Okay, the lady that I'm actually interested
- 48:53Speaker 1: in actually uh ich works at the church too. When
- 48:59Speaker 1: I see she's nam a tall, she's about five nine
- 49:02Speaker 1: and she's probably about a size eight, beautiful long leagues
- 49:07Speaker 1: man and and and sandy type of hair, sandy color
- 49:11Speaker 1: for sandy brown man. And I mean she looked like Calma.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Hold on a minute, what's her name? I think her
- 49:21Speaker 1: name Linda? Now hold on, that's my wife? What you
- 49:24Speaker 1: mean go ahead and see? Wait wait wait, wait, wait
- 49:27Speaker 1: wait wait Linda your wife? Yeah, that's my wife? You Sorrence,
- 49:31Speaker 1: what do you mean? Listen? Y'all are a ministry now now,
- 49:36Speaker 1: if y'all supposed to be taking care of people, don't
- 49:38Speaker 1: make a wish and and taking care of what they
- 49:40Speaker 1: want before they leave this world? If that's my wish,
- 49:43Speaker 1: what is the problem? Listening? Here? You didn't cross every
- 49:45Speaker 1: line there was about this man, so I don't give
- 49:48Speaker 1: a damn about it. I'm you're talking about sleeping with
- 49:50Speaker 1: my wife. If I see y'all gonna do something to you,
- 49:53Speaker 1: they ain't gonna even be able to recognize you. So
- 49:56Speaker 1: what the You talking about missing with my wife, son
- 49:59Speaker 1: of a ca all miss Linda myself and see it.
- 50:01Speaker 1: You know I have a problem with helping me make
- 50:03Speaker 1: my wish come true. Go right ahead and calling you
- 50:06Speaker 1: won't call nobody else. That would be the least call
- 50:10Speaker 1: you make. I thought y'all were here to relieve people
- 50:15Speaker 1: so they can enjoy themselves before they leave this world.
- 50:18Speaker 1: You talk about sleeping with my wife? Are you crazy?
- 50:21Speaker 1: But but if I'm tend to leave here, ain't nobody
- 50:24Speaker 1: gonna know? But you want hut. I don't care if
- 50:26Speaker 1: you die. I don't care. You ain't sleeping with my
- 50:29Speaker 1: wife and your food with her. You probably gonna go
- 50:31Speaker 1: ahead and die quicker than you need to. I thought
- 50:34Speaker 1: this was a ministry. I don't feel you now you won't.
- 50:37Speaker 1: They're telling me about daring. Y'all supposed to be a
- 50:40Speaker 1: ministry that to help people before they leave a word
- 50:43Speaker 1: what it is. But you talk about sleeping with my wife.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You got an illness, But something must be wrong with
- 50:47Speaker 1: your brain talking about missing with man wife. Ain't nobody
- 50:50Speaker 1: don't even know? I've been what your wife wants? Something
- 50:52Speaker 1: gonna there, ain't gonna be but the tool y'all. At
- 50:54Speaker 1: least you would have helped me before I left. No,
- 50:57Speaker 1: I can't help you with nothing. And let me tell
- 50:59Speaker 1: you something. I'm not the preacher. I'm not the pastor,
- 51:01Speaker 1: I'm not the deacon, I'm not none of them. But
- 51:04Speaker 1: if you mentioned my wife, you're gonna know who I am.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna be the undertaker. Do you understand I don't
- 51:09Speaker 1: hear what you say? But I got one more thing
- 51:11Speaker 1: I need to tell you about who I ain't who
- 51:13Speaker 1: asked you? Isn't it the go ahead? Let me hear
- 51:16Speaker 1: this is you talk from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Your wife, y'all me the phrase sho no, y'all tell
- 51:25Speaker 1: me you roll a y'all ain't recording. This is man's
- 51:34Speaker 1: recorded every last bit of Lord Hammer last. Ain't gonna

- 52:14Speaker 1: helped people, yeah, right into cussing. He didn't build up
- 52:20Speaker 1: to it. He went right into cussing. He knew that
- 52:25Speaker 1: was his worst Yeah, so you knew that was his wife.

- 53:33Speaker 1: We'll get into it right after this. Yeah, you're listening
- 53:37Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show, all right? Guys, well guess what
- 53:42Speaker 1: the wind blew in? Yeah, I'm here. We need to
- 53:48Speaker 1: know what I need to know. That go ahead. So
- 53:55Speaker 1: I got up this morning. You know I don't have
- 53:58Speaker 1: to drive in cause I have. We worked from home,
- 54:02Speaker 1: right right. But when I woke up for a minute,
- 54:09Speaker 1: just for a minute, not the whole time, I thought
- 54:11Speaker 1: it was Sunday. So yeah, I just thought it was Sunday.
- 54:16Speaker 1: You know, yesterday was Sunday. I just doubled him up.
- 54:26Speaker 1: You know I ain't on the weekend in the end,
- 54:30Speaker 1: you know, you had two Sundays. Huh okay. And so
- 54:34Speaker 1: then all so I went back in there and I la,
- 54:38Speaker 1: Jay needs to shut his assert. I went back in
- 54:45Speaker 1: the room and then I kept going, why's all these
- 54:48Speaker 1: people coming around? Now? That's when I realized, boy, this
- 54:58Speaker 1: ain't Sunday. This Monday. Then people work here. You gotta
- 55:05Speaker 1: get your ass up, man. So here, I am I
- 55:12Speaker 1: say one thing? Can I just say one thing? Not really,
- 55:16Speaker 1: I just want to say one thing. How come I'm here?
- 55:21Speaker 1: How come I'm here on time on my room two
- 55:24Speaker 1: days and I can't say nothing. That's what I don't

- 56:00Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry letter to Steve HARVEYFM
- 56:04Speaker 1: dot com and click submit Strawberry letter and we could
- 56:08Speaker 1: be reading your letter live on the air, just like
- 56:11Speaker 1: we're gonna read this one right here, right now. That's right,
- 56:15Speaker 1: Hold on tight, we got it for you here. It
- 56:17Speaker 1: is a Strawberry letter subject I smacked his mama in
- 56:22Speaker 1: the face. Okay, all right, Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband's
- 56:29Speaker 1: father just passed away. So we went to his parents
- 56:32Speaker 1: home to make the arrangements with his mother and his sisters.
- 56:36Speaker 1: With everything that his mother and sisters wanted for the funeral.
- 56:39Speaker 1: It was going to be over thirty five thousand dollars.
- 56:42Speaker 1: His father did not have life insurance, so the thirty
- 56:45Speaker 1: five dollars would be coming from the family pockets. My
- 56:48Speaker 1: mother passed away, thirty five thousand would be coming from
- 56:52Speaker 1: the family pockets. My mother passed away five months prior
- 56:57Speaker 1: and I received a nice lump sum of money, and
- 57:00Speaker 1: because my husband knew I had the money, he sat
- 57:03Speaker 1: there and told his mother and sisters that we would
- 57:06Speaker 1: pay for everything. I told them we would chip in
- 57:10Speaker 1: along with everyone else, but certainly not pay the full amount.
- 57:13Speaker 1: And my husband started squirming and argument broke out amongst
- 57:17Speaker 1: his mother's sisters and I, and a lot of nasty
- 57:19Speaker 1: words were exchanged, so my husband went outside to smoke.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Out of nowhere, his mom called me a low life
- 57:26Speaker 1: bee and slapped me. Next thing I know, his mother
- 57:30Speaker 1: and two sisters were throwing blows at me. I pushed
- 57:34Speaker 1: them off of me and one of the sisters ran
- 57:36Speaker 1: to get my husband. His mother came right back and
- 57:40Speaker 1: punched me in the chest. I had had enough, and
- 57:43Speaker 1: I reached back and slapped the taste out of her
- 57:46Speaker 1: mouth just as my husband walked in. He immediately jumped
- 57:53Speaker 1: in my face and I tried to explain what happened,
- 57:55Speaker 1: but he didn't want to hear it. He told me
- 57:58Speaker 1: I should have never raised my hand, and to his
- 58:00Speaker 1: seventy one year old mother. Well, we never recovered from this.
- 58:05Speaker 1: After his dad's funeral, he moved in with his mother.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He told me he's too ashamed to be with me
- 58:11Speaker 1: after I beat up his mother. He believes their side
- 58:14Speaker 1: of the story, despite being married to me for seventeen
- 58:17Speaker 1: years and knowing that I'm not like that. Oh, and
- 58:21Speaker 1: I paid for the entire funeral. How do I get
- 58:24Speaker 1: my husband back? Here's a better question. Did you have
- 58:28Speaker 1: to hit his mama? Though? Really self defense is a
- 58:33Speaker 1: justifiable excuse, but he's not buying it because it was
- 58:37Speaker 1: his mama. How do you get your husband back? You ask?
- 58:40Speaker 1: You mean, how do you get your mama's boy back?
- 58:43Speaker 1: And because he is a mama's boy, you might not
- 58:46Speaker 1: get your husband back. I hate to tell you that,
- 58:48Speaker 1: but it sounds like he's made his choice. He chose mama,
- 58:51Speaker 1: and he's not interested in the truth. I wish you
- 58:54Speaker 1: hadn't paid for the whole funeral and just chipped in,
- 58:57Speaker 1: Like you said, that's money you will never get back.
- 59:00Speaker 1: And I'm sure you were trying to make it up
- 59:02Speaker 1: to the family for the fight, and of course to
- 59:04Speaker 1: your husband for hitting his mom. But it didn't work.
- 59:07Speaker 1: A lot of people just believe what they see in
- 59:09Speaker 1: front of them and not the story that goes with it.
- 59:11Speaker 1: I'm sure it was shocking for him to see you
- 59:13Speaker 1: haul off and slap his mom as he walked in,
- 59:17Speaker 1: and for him to totally take their word over yours
- 59:19Speaker 1: his wife of seventeen years, was even more shocking to you.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It takes a real man, I say, to stand up
- 59:26Speaker 1: to his mom, you know, speak up for his wife
- 59:29Speaker 1: and all of that. I just say, I know you're
- 59:32Speaker 1: in disbelief. Not to mention love, but you might have
- 59:35Speaker 1: to think about your parents plans for the future. Steve.
- 59:39Speaker 1: We don't have a lot of time here, I know. Well,
- 59:43Speaker 1: I smacked his mom in the face. I'll be damned
- 59:50Speaker 1: right as he walked in, timing the same old go good.
- 59:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you why. All right, we'll have part two
- 59:59Speaker 1: of Steve's respond coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: the hour. I smacked his mama in the face. Is
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: the subject? Steve is back and we'll be back right
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: let's recap the Strawberry letter for today. I smacked his
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: mama in the face. Is the subject? Lord? Well? The subject?
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I smacked his mama in the face. The problem is
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: it was right when he walked in, and he didn't
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: get no before. It wasn't in no text all he
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: saw you hold and slapped here, damn mama, dare say,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I don't know if you ever seen an old person
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: gets snapped a surprised Uh, your husband's daddy passed away,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: and y'all went to the parents' house and make the
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: arrangements with his mother and sistant. Everything his mother and
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: sister wanted for the funeral is gonna be over thirty
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: five thousand dollars. That's pretty That's that's pretty good fuel. Now,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: ain't gonna lie to you. Yeah, that's the high ass funeral, y'all. Yeah,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I don't know what y'all got going on, flowers. You know,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: we need we need to cut back on some of this.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Seeing this is how he don't know grand You know
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: only what you got silver doors on it phone, you know,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: black dogs, basic dolls on the casket is googled all
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: in pearl handles and all that. You know, we're gonna
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: throw dirt on top of this thing, you do know that.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And his father didn't have life ensuring. So the thirty
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: five thousand gonna be coming out of family's pockets. Well,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: this woman's mother had passed away five months ago, and
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: she received the nice lumps of the money. And because
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: her husband knew I had the money, he sat there
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: told his mama and his damned sisters that we was
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: gonna pay for everything. I told them we would chip
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: in along with everyone else, but certainly not pay the
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: full amount. But my husband started a squirman. Now what
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: this woman did was absolutely right. See, you don't let
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: all the other kids off the hook and all this
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: stuff pitch in this your damn daddy. They ain't pitch
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: you in when your mama died. So and the husband
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: started screaming. Then army argument broke out with his mother's
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: sisters and her. A lot of nasty wares was exchanged.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: So my husband went outside the smoke. Now he outside
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: smoking weed probably, and then out of notewhere, his mama
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: called me a lowlife b I tca you lord be ah,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: just call this girl that, and then slapped me because
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: your damn husband dead. Why I got to get slapped,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: y'all ain't got his shoes. I'm not paying the whole
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: damn thirty five it ain't my daddy or husband. And
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: the two sisters. Next thing I know, his mother and
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: them too ignorant as sisters were throwing blows at me.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I pushed him off me and one of the sisters
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: ran to get my husband. So then go outside to
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: get the husband. Right as the husband comes in the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: damn house, I didn't got tired of all this mess,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: all this pushing on me. His mother came right back,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: punched me in the chest, dead in the chest. Sucker
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: punch you dad in the chance like your name Floyda
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: or something, you just haul off a sucker punch you
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: dad in your damn chest. You had had enough. You
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: reached back and slapped the taste out of her mouth,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: hauled off. She seventy one. She ain't been slapped, and
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: she seventy one. She probably ain't been slapped since she
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: was about twenty eight. How far back did she reached back?
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: She slapped her with her right hand. She touched her
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: left elbow with her hand. That's how far she caught
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: raps And she hauled off and slapped her old ass.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: And but you slapped the taste out of her mouth.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Flavor spit went round the side of her nick. Just
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: as your husband walked in. He immediately jumped in your face,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: and I tried to explain it what happened, but he
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: did want to hear. He told me you should have
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: never raised my hand to his seventy one year old
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: mother because he would have never done it. And you
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: understand as well. We never recovered from this. After his
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: daddy's funeral, he moved in with his mama. He told
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: me he's too ashamed to be with me after I
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: beat up his mama. He believed they sided the story.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Despite being married to me for seventeen years and knowing
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I'm not like that. You ain't liked that? Well, who
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: was that that knock? You ain't liked that? Who was
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: that woman that had your dress home? That haul off?
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: And doctor taste out his mama? Mama? Oh, and I
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: paid for the entire funeral. That ain't happening. How do
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I get my husband back? Shirley's right, he's a mama's boy.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: He'd made his choice. You're not gonna get the money
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: back or the husband back. But if I were you,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I would write a letter and send it to him
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: and tell him exactly what happened. Then if he don't believe,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: then let him stay in the bush, all right, Steve, listen,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: sounds like we're gonna have to do a part three here.
