- 0:01Mark Chapter 3. He entered again into a
- 0:03synagogue, and a man was there whose hand was withered.
- 0:07They were watching him to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath
- 0:10so that they might accuse him. He said to the man with a
- 0:12withered hand, Get up and come forward.
- 0:15And he said to them, Is it lawful to do good or to do harm
- 0:18on the Sabbath, to save a life or to kill?
- 0:21But they kept silent. After looking around at them
- 0:24with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to
- 0:27the man, Stretch out your hand, and he stretched it out, and his
- 0:31hand was restored. The Pharisees went out and
- 0:34immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against him
- 0:37as to how they might destroy him.
- 0:40Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great
- 0:43multitude from Galilee followed, and also from Judea, and from
- 0:46Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan and the
- 0:50vicinity of Tyre and Sidon. A great number of people heard
- 0:53of all that he was doing and came to Him.
- 0:56And he told his disciples that a boat should stand ready for him
- 0:59because of the crowd, so that they would not crowd him.
- 1:03For he had healed many, with the result that all those who had
- 1:07afflictions pressed around him in order to touch Him.
- 1:10Whenever the unclean spirit saw him, they would fall down before
- 1:13him and shout, You are the Son of God.
- 1:16And he earnestly warned them not to tell who he was.
- 1:20And he went up on the mountain and summoned those whom he
- 1:22himself wanted, and they came to him, and he appointed 12 so that
- 1:26they would be with him, that he could send them out to preach
- 1:30and to have authority to cast out the demons.
- 1:32And he appointed the 12. Simon, to whom he gave the name
- 1:36Peter, and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of
- 1:39James, to whom he gave the name Bo Energies, which means sons of
- 1:43Thunder. And Andrew and Philip and
- 1:46Bartholomew, and Matthew and Thomas.
- 1:48And James the son of Alpheus and Thaddeus, and Simon the Zealot,
- 1:53and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
- 1:55And he came home and the crowd gathered again to such an extent
- 1:59that they could not even eat a meal.
- 2:01When his own people heard of this, they went out to take
- 2:04custody of him, for they were saying He has lost his senses.
- 2:08The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying He's
- 2:11possessed by Beelzebel, and he casts out the demons by the
- 2:14ruler of the demons. And he called them to himself
- 2:17and began speaking to them in parables.
- 2:19How can Satan cast out Satan? If a Kingdom is divided against
- 2:23itself, that Kingdom cannot stand.
- 2:26If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be
- 2:28able to stand. If Satan has risen up against
- 2:31himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he's finished.
- 2:36But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his
- 2:39property, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will
- 2:42plunder his house. Truly, I say to you, all sins
- 2:46shall be forgiven, the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies
- 2:49they utter. But whoever blasphemes against
- 2:52the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an
- 2:55eternal sin. Because they were saying he has
- 2:58an unclean spirit. Then his mother and his brothers
- 3:01arrived and standing outside they sent word to him and called
- 3:04him. A crowd was sitting around him
- 3:07and they said to him, Behold, your mother and your brothers
- 3:09are outside looking for you. Answering them he said, Who are
- 3:12my mother and my brothers? Looking about at those who were
- 3:15sitting around him, he said, Behold my mother and my
- 3:18brothers. For whoever does the will of
- 3:20God, he is my brother and sister and mother.
