- 1:43Speaker 3: Got to turn the mouth, turn out.
- 1:46Speaker 2: A wad of the money cap.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you're.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody, y'all listen
- 2:05Speaker 5: to the voice. Come on, dig me now, one and
- 2:08Speaker 5: only Steve Harvey oh Man got a radio show. Man
- 2:12Speaker 5: got a radio show and a whole lot mold too.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Man. God is good to me.
- 2:17Speaker 5: I have no other explanation, if I have no other
- 2:20Speaker 5: explanation of my existence and where I stand in this
- 2:24Speaker 5: thing called life, except if it was not for the
- 2:27Speaker 5: goodness of God Almighty.
- 2:29Speaker 2: If it was not for His.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Grace and his mercy, There's no way I could exist
- 2:35Speaker 5: the way that I do. I would not be who
- 2:37Speaker 5: I am or where I am. I am who I
- 2:40Speaker 5: am and where I am simply because God is who
- 2:46Speaker 5: he is. If it was not for God, I would
- 2:50Speaker 5: have no testimony for you, because I would have failed
- 2:53Speaker 5: every single test plain, pure and simple. I can sit
- 2:59Speaker 5: here today day until you flat out that it is
- 3:04Speaker 5: purely because of God's grace and mercy that I exist
- 3:08Speaker 5: today because of His favor. See now He shows us
- 3:13Speaker 5: favor in life because of a combination of things I've discovered.
- 3:18Speaker 5: And this is not the whole answer to life, I
- 3:21Speaker 5: can assure you as not. But this is a combination
- 3:24Speaker 5: that I've grown to understand better and better, and I
- 3:28Speaker 5: wish I had gotten it earlier in my life.
- 3:31Speaker 2: But here it is. If you take faith and you
- 3:38Speaker 2: combine it.
- 3:40Speaker 5: With an incredible work ethic, then God has the greatest
- 3:49Speaker 5: opportunities to show you favor. That's the best way I
- 3:55Speaker 5: can explain success to you from my standpoint. It is
- 3:59Speaker 5: to common nation of faith and work that produces the
- 4:04Speaker 5: most opportunities for God to.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Show you favor.
- 4:08Speaker 5: See a lot of times we want God to bless us,
- 4:11Speaker 5: but we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So
- 4:14Speaker 5: now we sideways in the equation a little bit. But
- 4:17Speaker 5: see if you had the faith in God that God
- 4:22Speaker 5: can do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:26Speaker 5: that God will see you through. That the God is
- 4:29Speaker 5: the God you serve, is the greatest giver of all
- 4:31Speaker 5: good things. If you kept that faith intact through it all,
- 4:36Speaker 5: and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows the
- 4:42Speaker 5: most opportunities for God to show you favor. See without
- 4:48Speaker 5: that what you want God to do? See, you can
- 4:50Speaker 5: have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 4:55Speaker 5: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities.
- 4:59Speaker 2: For God to show show you favor.
- 5:01Speaker 5: And you got to do some things man, that you
- 5:04Speaker 5: are uncomfortable doing or don't feel like doing, or something
- 5:09Speaker 5: that don't have the right payoff right in front of
- 5:11Speaker 5: your face, with the faith that it'll pay off later on. See,
- 5:16Speaker 5: too many people are working for the right now reward,
- 5:20Speaker 5: and the right now reward is not how it works.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Sometimes the reward is coming later on up the road.
- 5:26Speaker 5: But the only way you can know that is if
- 5:29Speaker 5: you got to You got to apply the faith and
- 5:31Speaker 5: see the reason you don't know that that it's coming
- 5:35Speaker 5: like that, or you have to have faith to believe
- 5:38Speaker 5: that it's coming, because faith is the belief in things
- 5:42Speaker 5: that you cannot see.
- 5:45Speaker 2: That's what faith is. You know you're standing at Let
- 5:48Speaker 2: me give you exam.
- 5:49Speaker 5: You standing at the crosswalk with a walk sign on
- 5:52Speaker 5: it and the sign flashing on the corner. Don't walk,
- 5:55Speaker 5: then that the signs say walk. What do you think
- 6:01Speaker 5: your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:03Speaker 2: Is what? Pretty good?
- 6:05Speaker 5: Because guess what the signs say walk. You can see
- 6:09Speaker 5: the other side. There's other people in the cross walk walking,
- 6:12Speaker 5: So guess what you strike out blindly? It don't take
- 6:16Speaker 5: a lot of faith to get across that streets.
- 6:19Speaker 2: That's not what I'm talking to you about.
- 6:22Speaker 5: I'm talking about the faith, the belief in things that
- 6:25Speaker 5: you cannot see, the faith that what I'm doing today,
- 6:31Speaker 5: I believe in my heart of heart that God wouldn't
- 6:34Speaker 5: bring me this far to leave me. That God is
- 6:37Speaker 5: a true and living God, that he keeps his promises,
- 6:40Speaker 5: that later on, there's things that I'm working towards right
- 6:42Speaker 5: now gonna pay off later on. See, too many people
- 6:45Speaker 5: want the reward right now. See that's not the exhibition
- 6:49Speaker 5: of faith. If it's the right thing to do, if
- 6:54Speaker 5: it's if it's a good thing to do, if it's
- 6:56Speaker 5: a just thing to do. See if it's sin in it,
- 7:00Speaker 5: it ain't God. You can just clear it on up
- 7:03Speaker 5: right there. You can stop all the wondering. If that's
- 7:05Speaker 5: His voice talking to you, if it's the right thing
- 7:08Speaker 5: to do, if it's sin in it.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It's not God talking to you. Kill it.
- 7:15Speaker 5: You can shut it down. You ain't got to wonder
- 7:18Speaker 5: about it. Go down there secret venge that ain't God.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Go tell them off when you see them. That ain't God.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Anything that's got seining in it is not God's voice
- 7:27Speaker 5: telling you to do it.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So you can kill that conversation today. That's how you know.
- 7:32Speaker 5: But if you aligning yourself up man and you and
- 7:34Speaker 5: what you're doing is just and right and correct and
- 7:38Speaker 5: pleasing in the sight of God, it'll pay off for
- 7:41Speaker 5: you later on. And see, here's the best way I
- 7:46Speaker 5: can tell to his Another way, when you're going somewhere,
- 7:52Speaker 5: when you're on the road to going somewhere, and you
- 7:55Speaker 5: know the somewhere that you're trying to get to. Let's
- 7:58Speaker 5: say you've set a goal or vision for yourself. You
- 8:00Speaker 5: know where you want to get to, You got a
- 8:03Speaker 5: good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 5: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:13Speaker 5: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:17Speaker 5: it is going to become challenging when it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 5: three of those things when it don't look like it's
- 8:23Speaker 5: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 5: I know he don't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:31Speaker 5: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 5: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:36Speaker 5: because you'll find yourself complaining. And when you complain and see,
- 8:40Speaker 5: what you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 5: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:48Speaker 5: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:52Speaker 5: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:55Speaker 5: of your.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Blessing that's actually happening to you.
- 8:58Speaker 5: What really, man, of all the times to register a
- 9:03Speaker 5: complaint to God, to sit up and go, hey, man,
- 9:06Speaker 5: I didn't I wanted to ease back into this thing.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Ease back in, man, you in. It's a tornado whirling
- 9:12Speaker 5: around you. You ain't got time to ease back in. You
- 9:15Speaker 5: gots it. Go on and jump back in it. It
- 9:17Speaker 5: is what it is to whom much is given, much
- 9:19Speaker 5: is required. Always appreciate the blessings. Don't get so caught
- 9:23Speaker 5: up in the complaints that you lose sight of the blessings. Man,
- 9:26Speaker 5: God got a lot for you in your life.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Man.
- 9:28Speaker 2: But you got to have them two things, y'all.
- 9:30Speaker 5: You got to take that faith and you got to
- 9:33Speaker 5: ply a crazy work ethic to it. And that creates
- 9:38Speaker 5: the most opportunities for God to show your favor. And
- 9:41Speaker 5: when God starts showing your favor, Man, all them seeds
- 9:45Speaker 5: you plant it that, all of that wheat you've been sowing,
- 9:49Speaker 5: all of that hard work you've been put in God
- 9:51Speaker 5: to pay it off.
- 9:52Speaker 2: And he'll pay it off in ways that you don't
- 9:54Speaker 2: even see coming.
- 9:55Speaker 6: Okay, cool, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen. The time has come, a new day
- 10:05Speaker 5: has arrived. He did it again. Hey, God boy, he's
- 10:08Speaker 5: something else.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Man.
- 10:10Speaker 2: He the only one could do it.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Man.
- 10:11Speaker 5: You know what he show up, never been late, track record,
- 10:17Speaker 5: one thousand percent, accountability, all of it. He checks all
- 10:22Speaker 5: the blocks. I don't know nobody else check all the blocks.
- 10:27Speaker 5: But God, almighty. Wow, that's a good friend to have, man,
- 10:33Speaker 5: check all the blocks. God answers to all your questions
- 10:37Speaker 5: and got a solution to all your problems. Man, if
- 10:42Speaker 5: you don't do nothing else, get your relationship with God. Man,
- 10:45Speaker 5: if you don't do nothing else. So sometimes your focus
- 10:48Speaker 5: is too much on relationship on a man or a woman.
- 10:51Speaker 5: You better get you some god man, somebody ain't gonna
- 10:55Speaker 5: ever check out on you.
- 10:57Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Steve, Robin, Marty Show, Sherlon Strawberry, call the Frail Mississippi,

- 11:25Speaker 3: Look?
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm doing it now walk talk about walking with
- 11:29Speaker 2: every day. You woul't complain by nothing? You would have.
- 11:30Speaker 5: No, Steve didn't. I didn't say that. I said I
- 11:37Speaker 5: be a disciple.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, Now you know I'm gonna go over there
- 11:44Speaker 2: with him.

- 12:23Speaker 5: Five fish, two lower bread.
- 12:25Speaker 3: You ain't on you.
- 12:26Speaker 2: You aren't there for that.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he wouldn't beat there for that.
- 12:34Speaker 5: Yeah, raising last, and then I know he already knew,
- 12:37Speaker 5: but i'd have been on him by Judas. He Hey, man,

- 12:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm a I'm I'm I'm a warm Judas though
- 12:50Speaker 5: I know I noticed the way it's got to go. Yeah,

- 12:59Speaker 5: could have been one.
- 13:00Speaker 2: But you know it's just.
- 13:02Speaker 5: You know, man, I think I've come to the I've
- 13:04Speaker 5: come to understand better and better as I walk with him.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You know that they are none perfect, No, not one
- 13:12Speaker 2: and so and so.
- 13:13Speaker 5: As I keep that in mind, I keep that in
- 13:16Speaker 5: mind for myself, and I watch a lot of people
- 13:19Speaker 5: online and stuff because I follow a lot of motivational stuff.
- 13:23Speaker 5: And you know, I watch some people out there talking
- 13:26Speaker 5: about perfection. Okay, all you doing is talking about it.
- 13:29Speaker 5: You do know that, don't you.
- 13:32Speaker 1: We ain't gonna never get there boy, all right, I

- 14:48Speaker 9: reach George. Please, what is my name is? Marcus? With WCS?
- 14:55Speaker 9: Call and see if we can actually try to lend

- 15:09Speaker 2: Now.
- 15:10Speaker 10: Who is it?
- 15:12Speaker 2: We are with Wife Correctional Services, sir. W CS.
- 15:16Speaker 9: What it is is, we take your wives for a
- 15:17Speaker 9: couple of weeks and we reprogram them so that it's
- 15:20Speaker 9: of course you have to sign a waiver contract, but
- 15:22Speaker 9: we take your wife and we reprogram them so that
- 15:25Speaker 9: they will act in a fashion of what you want
- 15:27Speaker 9: them to act.
- 15:29Speaker 10: Oh, okay, okay, whatever.
- 15:32Speaker 2: See.
- 15:32Speaker 9: So what it is that we've gotten some We've gotten
- 15:34Speaker 9: some reports that you've been having some problems with with
- 15:37Speaker 9: your particular wife and where you locate to that we're
- 15:42Speaker 9: here in Saint Louis, sir. Okay, and don't worry. We're
- 15:46Speaker 9: totally confidential. This is not anything that's going to get
- 15:48Speaker 9: out and and your your names are never submitted.
- 15:52Speaker 2: First of all, here's here's something we can do.
- 15:54Speaker 9: I can ask you questions because we've been notified that
- 15:56Speaker 9: this is probably a service that you would probably want. Now,
- 16:00Speaker 9: has your wife ever snapped on you in public?
- 16:04Speaker 10: And snapped on me? I mean what I mean? She
- 16:07Speaker 10: My wife ain't crazy. She don't just snap on me.
- 16:09Speaker 10: She might, you know, try to check me, say something.
- 16:12Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying. She ain't just gonna snap
- 16:14Speaker 10: on me in public.
- 16:14Speaker 2: So your wife, so your wife has tried to check you,
- 16:17Speaker 2: is what you're saying.
- 16:18Speaker 10: May not check me per se. I mean she might.
- 16:20Speaker 10: She might not like something I'm doing and might say
- 16:22Speaker 10: something about it. We don't just snap on.
- 16:25Speaker 9: So basically, your wife is not in her place where
- 16:27Speaker 9: she needs to be cold on.
- 16:29Speaker 10: I mean what you mean in her place? I mean
- 16:30Speaker 10: she might say something, you know, I mean, I might
- 16:33Speaker 10: be doing something or you know, might be with my
- 16:35Speaker 10: boys and might get out of control a little bit.
- 16:37Speaker 10: She might just say something at the time, but she
- 16:39Speaker 10: don't just try to all out check nobody. You know
- 16:41Speaker 10: what I'm saying.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, Okay, I'll tell you what. Let me ask
- 16:44Speaker 2: you this one.
- 16:45Speaker 9: Have you ever just had some plans with your guys,
- 16:47Speaker 9: We're gonna go out, and had to change your plans
- 16:49Speaker 9: because your wife.
- 16:51Speaker 10: Well, I mean, if like I'm just coming by hanging
- 16:55Speaker 10: out and I ain't let her know or something, she
- 16:56Speaker 10: might you know, be like, well, baby already had plans,
- 16:59Speaker 10: you know, can you say home with the boys or something.
- 17:01Speaker 10: But I mean, I mean nothing on the regular, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 10: I usually do what I want to do.
- 17:05Speaker 2: It seems like denial.
- 17:07Speaker 9: Okay, here's another one, sir, Well, no, listen, hear me out.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Now, let me ask you this has your wife.
- 17:14Speaker 9: Let's say, back when Michael Jordan was playing basketball, did
- 17:17Speaker 9: you ever miss a playoff game on television because your
- 17:20Speaker 9: wife wanted to watch something else?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Nah?
- 17:22Speaker 10: I mean we got two TVs in my house. Man,
- 17:24Speaker 10: I wish now, I don't even get that. I mean
- 17:26Speaker 10: I might have to watch a little TV, okay, but
- 17:28Speaker 10: I mean I usually watch it on.
- 17:30Speaker 2: The big show. Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 9: But but you doing you've been pushed to watching the
- 17:35Speaker 9: smaller television.
- 17:36Speaker 10: No, I wouldn't push to do nothing. Man. What I'm
- 17:38Speaker 10: trying to tell you is, I mean we compromised. We
- 17:40Speaker 10: do fifty fifty in my house. I mean, she might
- 17:42Speaker 10: get the big TV to watch her stories or something,
- 17:44Speaker 10: and I just had to go watch the little TV
- 17:46Speaker 10: and little TV dude go out of every once and
- 17:48Speaker 10: see there we go. So with that, though, I'm cool
- 17:51Speaker 10: with that.
- 17:52Speaker 2: You're with that. So you're with that. You're actually the
- 17:55Speaker 2: one that's programmed.
- 17:56Speaker 10: And you ain't nothing wrong with my wife. Ain't nothing
- 17:58Speaker 10: wrong with my family. You know what I mean?
- 18:00Speaker 2: I understand.
- 18:01Speaker 9: Well, let me the reason why I'm asking you these
- 18:03Speaker 9: particular questions is because someone has actually let me know
- 18:07Speaker 9: the problems that are at hand in your household.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Let me ask you. I got one question for you.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Here's what I want to ask you. Has your wife
- 18:13Speaker 2: ever cussed you out at a family cookout?
- 18:16Speaker 10: Hey? Man, hold on, man, you know what you're getting
- 18:18Speaker 10: a little personal man.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Man, I'm here, I'm here.

- 56:39Speaker 1: Thank you nephew. Subject he needs some friends. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:43Speaker 1: My husband and I are in our late forties and
- 56:46Speaker 1: we've been married for twenty years. We have one son
- 56:49Speaker 1: that was active in sports and he worked with my
- 56:52Speaker 1: husband helping to build his trucking business. Our son is
- 56:56Speaker 1: nineteen years old. And he recently left the nest and
- 56:58Speaker 1: moved out two hours. Moved about two hours from us
- 57:03Speaker 1: to be closer to school. He decided to change his
- 57:06Speaker 1: major and transferred to a better school for his degree program,
- 57:09Speaker 1: and I was ecstatic. My husband tried to make him
- 57:12Speaker 1: stay closer home, and I had to talk some sense
- 57:15Speaker 1: into him so our son could pursue his dreams. As
- 57:19Speaker 1: soon as my son moved into his new place in
- 57:22Speaker 1: his new city, my husband went into a depressed mood,
- 57:25Speaker 1: and I did my best to keep him company and
- 57:28Speaker 1: entertain him as much as I could. I realized that
- 57:31Speaker 1: my husband does not have real friends. He has guys
- 57:34Speaker 1: that work with him and my son. He stopped talking
- 57:38Speaker 1: to his buddies while he was getting his business going,
- 57:41Speaker 1: so they eventually stopped coming around. All he did was
- 57:44Speaker 1: go to our son's games, go out to eat with
- 57:47Speaker 1: our son, work with our son, and watch movies with
- 57:50Speaker 1: our son. It's hard for my husband to sit home
- 57:53Speaker 1: and relax without trying to FaceTime our son. My son
- 57:57Speaker 1: sent me a text telling me that he was moving
- 57:59Speaker 1: in with his girl and he's hoping his dad will
- 58:02Speaker 1: reconnect with his friends so he won't call him so much.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I didn't tell my husband about the text because I
- 58:08Speaker 1: didn't want to crush him. Yesterday, he said that we
- 58:11Speaker 1: should go visit my son for Easter, and I made
- 58:14Speaker 1: up a lot of excuses why we shouldn't. The only
- 58:17Speaker 1: thing that keeps him occupied is sex, but I'm not
- 58:20Speaker 1: going to keep doing that all the time. So he
- 58:23Speaker 1: needs his friends. Should I plan a playdate for him?
- 58:26Speaker 1: How do I get him out of this house more?
- 58:30Speaker 1: You're certainly right about one thing, and that's the subject
- 58:33Speaker 1: of your letter. The subject is he needs some friends,
- 58:35Speaker 1: and your husband really really does need some friends. I mean,
- 58:41Speaker 1: I'm happy that your husband and son are really, really close,
- 58:43Speaker 1: but this is way too much. I mean, your son
- 58:46Speaker 1: moved away to to you know, live his life and
- 58:50Speaker 1: follow his dreams, and you've been an excellent wife who's
- 58:54Speaker 1: tried to fill in the blanks of the void in
- 58:56Speaker 1: your husband's you know, feeling. But no matter what you do,
- 59:00Speaker 1: that isn't enough. And you, guys, you and your son
- 59:02Speaker 1: obviously can't go on like this because your son has
- 59:06Speaker 1: a real girlfriend now and he won't be coming back
- 59:09Speaker 1: or having you guys over anytime soon. I mean, notice
- 59:13Speaker 1: your son didn't invite your guys over for Easter your
- 59:17Speaker 1: husband that you're going, I say, instead of planning a date,
- 59:21Speaker 1: because you asked about planning a playdate for your husband,
- 59:24Speaker 1: Plan a party, plan a dinner. Invite some of his
- 59:27Speaker 1: old friends that he used to work with and some
- 59:30Speaker 1: of you know, some of his old buddies, I mean,
- 59:33Speaker 1: he has some from the past. Maybe invite them over,
- 59:36Speaker 1: see if they'll come. You got to find out what
- 59:38Speaker 1: they're doing. And bite some other couples over, try to connect,
- 59:42Speaker 1: try to you know, get some parties, going a dinner,
- 59:46Speaker 1: going something, you know, so it can distract him from
- 59:51Speaker 1: from being so needy where your son is. I've really
- 59:55Speaker 1: never heard of this before, a father being so attached
- 59:58Speaker 1: to a son that he won't let go like this.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I mean all kids leave the nest eventually. But if
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: you have a dinner party or a house party or something,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: you know, maybe that way you can slowly get your
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: husband to start hanging out with his guy friends or
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: some people his age at least. And that's all I have.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: Steve, Well, he needs some friends. See this letter right here.
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: I don't have to like write a lot of notes
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: on this. I know all of this right here. You know,
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: y'all in your late forty's been married twenty years. You
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: only got one son active in sports, and he worked
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: with your husband. See, I'm setting this up because I
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: want you to understand what's happening. Helping to build his
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: trucking business. Okay, our son is nineteen years old, and
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: he recently left the nest and moved about two hours
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: from us to be closer to school. He decided to
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: change his major and transfer to a better school for
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: his degree program. And I was a static. Well, let
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: me help you understand. So your son escaped. See, your
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: son escaped, that's really what happens. Is boy nineteen decided
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: he wasn't be no truck driver. I don't want to
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: drive no trucks. I don't want to pick up no load.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: I don't want to be sitting there at the dispatch
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: desk monitor loads and all this here. This ain't what
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: I want, Daddy. So now I'm going two hours away.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna move closer, and i'm gonna change major. I'm
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: gonna go to a whole nother school. I'm trying to escape.
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: My husband tried to make him stay closer to home,
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: and I had to talk some sensing to him.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: So our son could pursue his dreams.
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: Okay, I understand that too, but you gotta let this
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: boy go.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: He don't want to.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: Be in the truck and business want to drive.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: No truck send up here hauling stuff. So over it.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: This is your dream, daddy.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: As soon as my son moved into his new place
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: in the new city, my husband went into it, moved,
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: and I did my best to keep him company and
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: entertainment as much as I could. I realized that my
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: husband does not have any real friends. Well, your husband's
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: whose life was tied to his son, sporting events, active
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: and all like that. He gave him purpose. It's like
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: when you leave a mama. But the problem we have,
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: and sureley you never heard of it is you've all
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: heard of mama's boy, But this is a daddy's boy.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: But it's the reverse of mama's boy.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: Mama boys is a boy that's attached today mama and
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: attached by the apron strings and a biblical cord and
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: can't get him loose, and he can't have a relationship
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: with a woman because his relationship with him Mamma tude clothes. Well,
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: a daddy's boy is the direct opposite it's the father
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: tied to his son and he can't function without the son.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: The son that decided I'm not driving no truck.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Hold on, Steve, hold on, I'm moving out. Part two.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. The subject of today's
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: strawberry letter he needs some friends. We'll get back into
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: There's a recent zip recruiter survey that says seventy six
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: percent of all employers plan to hire for twenty twenty

- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Slash Strawberry at ZipRecruiter dot com slash strawberry. All right,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: come on, Steve. Let's recap today strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: is he needs some friends.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Well, let's look at this.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: This is this woman and husband been married for twenty years,
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: only got one boy at Demand's whole life was wrapped
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: around his son sport and events, everything, and his dreaming
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: vision was have his son involved in the tree trucking business.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: They were building the business together.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: As soon as this boy got nineteen and was eight
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: able to make a decision, vote and go to war,
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: he decided that he gonna move about two hours away
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: from y'all because he tied in his heir. Because they
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: don't want to be any trucking business. Your boy don't
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: want to drive trucks. He got a new dream and
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: a new vision, got another degree programmed.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: The mother was ecstatic.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: Your husband tried to make him stay and talk some
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: sensing to him so his son could pursue his dream. Well,
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: when the son moved into his new place in the
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: new city, your husband went into a depression. And I
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: kept trying to keep him company and entertaining best you could.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: And then you realize that your husband don't have real friends.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: What should have realized? That your husband is a daddy's boy,
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: see a daddy's boy. See you got a mama's boy,
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: But you got daddy's boy too. That's when the father
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: is attached to the son. He had his whole life
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: wrapped around the boy. He was living vicariously through the son.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: That's really a thing.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Stee, No, I just made that up just now.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, like is that really a thing?
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: I mean, you know, well, it's it's very very rare.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: It's very rare.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: But it is the direct opposite of a mama's boy.
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: But the daddy's boy. There are men who are attaching
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: live vicariously through their sons, go to all sporting events
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: and all like this in their whole life. And then
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: a lot of sons move out and get on their
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: own and their dad become depressed. That's really really I
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: don't know if it's called the daddy's boy, but that's
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: what we're calling it for this letter. But I know
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: some guys know a couple of friends of mine that
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: lived their life like that, sons really involved in athletics,
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: went on to college and everything and everything, and he
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: didn't he didn't go pro and that not that out
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: because that's all he was had his whole that was
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: his retirement playing.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: So anyway, and so now.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: While he was building the business with his son, he
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: was he was getting his business going there, all his
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: friends stopped coming around because he was busy. All he
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: did was go to your son's games. Go to eat
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: with your son, work out with your son. Why movies
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: with our.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Son is hard?
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: And my husband sit home and relaxed without trying to
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: FaceTime our son who lives away.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: Now here's the dangerous part. Watch this.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: My son sent me a text telling me that he
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: was moving in with his girlfriend and he's hoping his
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: dad will reconnect with his friends so he won't call
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: him so much. Okay, let me take what's happening here,
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: that boy and movie in with this girl, and boy
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: to moving in with this girl. That daddy always facetiming.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: Daddy gonna FaceTime as some inappropriate moments because it's born
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: at nineteen day in that house like rabbits, most of
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: the time they're gonna be doing something and your daddy
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: gonna be facetiming.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Then the boy can't pick the phone daddy. Huh, Now
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: hold on that.
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: See So now he'd have told his mama, you gotta
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: talk to daddy getting reconnected so he ain't got to
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: call me the month. Now, you didn't want to tell
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: your husband about to tech because you didn't want.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: To crush you crush him?
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but we but we hear girls.
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: Man, he's gonna go Hey, look, you're calling him too much.
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: He want to live his life. He the moved his
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: girl in. Now he in love with this girl.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: Yesterday he said he wanna go visit his son for Easter.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: What son ain't got no babies. You ain't gonna see
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: your grandkids. Your son nineteen, He ain't even gonna come
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: home for Easter.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Him and that girl. Let me tell you what they
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: finish do on Easter.
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: She finnha dress up like a bunnet rabbit, and he's
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: going to hide eggs all over the.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: House and they gonna have an Easter egg hunted. Every
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: time she pick up.
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: An egg, he gonna reward her with this special made
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: bunnet suit. See that what they finish do on Easter.
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: They ain't even gonna eat on Easter they had.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: They just gonna have a.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: Basket with candy in it. They're gonna be feeding each other. Boy,
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: he finish had the best Easter he ever had without
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: showing daddy Daddy's boy. Yeah, and then she gonna talk
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: about so you made up a lot of excuses why
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: we shouldn't go, And the only thing that keeps him
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: occupied is sick. But I'm not gonna keep doing that
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: all the time. So he needs his friends. Should I
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: plan a playdate for him? How do I get him
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: out of the house more? You have to plan a
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: play date. Yeah, you got to contact his friends and go, hey, look, Herbert,
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: he ain't been paying y'all, no attention counts he but
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: he really misses y'all and want to get out the house.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: Now we need a barbecue, We need a card night poker,
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: We need a boy's night out. When do y'all go
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: to the strip club? But you got to get Herbert
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: out of this house and get his mind occupied.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: That's right, he needs some friends.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: You got to call his friends and get in touch
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: with him. Tell them that he's depressed and he need
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: to get out the house and let him go ahead,
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: and you gotta go bowlding.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: So go bowlding night man.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: Go get you in a go go to the gym
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: and work out with your friend.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Go what go to a game? A basketball game?
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: No, then he gonna start crying, sheery, because he used
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: to go with all his games with his son.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: You do this, Shelly, Sureley. Stop. They don't live in
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: the NBA city. This ain't from no NBA city town.
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: It did not say that they live in willow winne Virginia,
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: somewhere like that. This is nobody. Everybody writing in from Atlanta,
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: New York and nothing like this. This ain't no New
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: York problem. This is a small town problem where man
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: got his life wrapped.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Around his son. This is a small town problem, all right.

- 1:11:32Speaker 2: cousin that did. What I mean, we had that yoke.
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: That yoke was all over the people's suits, man, all
- 1:11:36Speaker 9: over the people. Well, me and my cousin laughing our
- 1:11:40Speaker 9: butt off. Man, My mama whooped out right there in

- 1:12:58Speaker 2: I can't.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: I see his Roebuck had a suit called the ten Way.
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: It had reversible pants, reversible vest, and reversible jacket and
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: they said you could make ten combinations out of there.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: I had thirty five.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: White folks. They didn't know what I was finn to do.
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: I was turning inside out.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: I was so cold. I would go to church.
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: Let the little girl see me go to the bathroom
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: and come out with a whole of outfit on it.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: I'm changing that church, and I can change anywhere.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: I could go in the road closet and change the
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: bathroom and change I go.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: I go in the janitor clause of the chain. I
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: come up.

- 1:14:01Speaker 1: it is time now for comedy roulette. J please quickly explain.
- 1:14:07Speaker 15: It's putting three subjects on a wheel, spinning wheel, where
- 1:14:12Speaker 15: the wheel stops. We can make it funny because we're comedians.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: This is true, all right. Today's categories are lies people
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: you know, people are gonna be telling lies and lies.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: People tell about why they can't pay you back your money. Lies,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: You tell about something you know you saw, and then oh,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: this is interesting. A nice way to tell a Christian off.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: A nice way to tell Christian off. All right, yeah,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: all right, let's spend the wheel. A nice way to
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: tell a Christian off. Let's go, fellas, all run here
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: we go.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: I always found that.
- 1:15:08Speaker 15: I always found that went in an argument with the Christian,
- 1:15:10Speaker 15: go biblical on their behind. Yeah, straight biblical and hit
- 1:15:14Speaker 15: them with this judge ye not lest you be judged.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: And then just walk away and then you.
- 1:15:21Speaker 8: I like, yeah, Jay, I'm kind of in that same vein,
- 1:15:25Speaker 8: but I like to apply to stories directly to them
- 1:15:28Speaker 8: when I'm arguing with Christians, Like, I know, he died
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: for your sins, but you about to go tell it
- 1:15:32Speaker 8: thank you?
- 1:15:34Speaker 13: What.
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: I know, he died for your sins, but you're about
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: to go tell him thank you.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: About this right here? You know, I don't believe Jesus
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: would it? Did that?
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: A nice way to tell a Christian off.
- 1:15:52Speaker 15: Yes, yeah, and we go comedy roulette. Nice way to
- 1:15:56Speaker 15: tell a Christian off. You know, I don't think Jesus
- 1:15:59Speaker 15: ever had a fight, but I have. Okay, Jesus never
- 1:16:04Speaker 15: had a fight, but I have. Okay, Yeah, this is
- 1:16:09Speaker 15: what I do.
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: You know, the ones that think they better than everybody else.
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: It's like I never saw you walk on water.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: I didn't see it.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: So nice way to tell a Christian off. Come on, Steve.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: You know, I know Daniel got off the lines then,
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: but this.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Is my house, like that just went there.
- 1:16:42Speaker 15: A nice way to tell a Christian off, Jay, A
- 1:16:45Speaker 15: nice way to tell a Christian of you know, Easter
- 1:16:48Speaker 15: is coming up.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I hope you get to wear that soup.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: You gotta lad away, Okay, keep.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: On, keep one.
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: Yeah, you can always apply stories in the Bible to Christians.
- 1:17:03Speaker 8: I always like the ones that hurt, like you know,
- 1:17:05Speaker 8: they be talking mess you say, uh, you know, have
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: you ever heard the story of Stoning and Stephen? Because
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: what I'm about to do going there a nice way.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Junior off into the deep form of Christian.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got to know that. You know that, you
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: know that it's.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: A nice way to tell them. Now you know you
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: aren't just supposed to read the scriptures.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: There's a lot of judgment on.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: Mm hm.
- 1:17:45Speaker 15: The nice way to tell a Christian of you know,
- 1:17:47Speaker 15: hell's in the Bible, won't you go there.
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: I'm not saying your daughter, I'm not saying that, but

- 1:22:11Speaker 5: people came and got in it.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: I got up and get out.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, all right.
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: I'm just not going to be in no tub or
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: water and look over and it's another dude in that.

- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this. Hey, y'all. This is Monica,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: This is Spike Lee. Hey, this is Mary J. Blid Yo.
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: This is Steven A. Smith.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Hey, this is Shaka Kahan.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: You have no idea what it is.
- 1:24:23Speaker 9: This is Carlos Miller and this may or may not
- 1:24:25Speaker 9: be the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:27Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:34Speaker 5: You can't let the urge to sing your favorite songs
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: while you're driving distract you from that trunk drifting toward
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: your raine or that lane splitting biker creeping up. Besides, fortunately,
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: every Hunday offers advanced safety features that can alert you
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: to potential dangers around.
- 1:24:49Speaker 9: And Hyundai has over one hundred and thirty IIHS Top
- 1:24:53Speaker 9: Safety awards since two thousand and six. IIHS Top Safety
- 1:24:56Speaker 9: awards include Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick, plus
- 1:25:00Speaker 9: awards to Hondai be HIPOs from two thousand and six
- 1:25:03Speaker 9: to twenty twenty five.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: day on this Friday, and Steve's what do you have
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: for us closing remarks wise today?
- 1:25:13Speaker 5: Yeah, here's something that I think is very helpful to people,
- 1:25:18Speaker 5: and it will help you open yourself up to really
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: what God truly can have for you. And the reason
- 1:25:26Speaker 5: I'm saying that is because oftentimes we limit what God
- 1:25:31Speaker 5: can do in our lives simply by the way we
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: we think and simply by our expectations. God has no
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: He's limitless. You can't put him in a box. You
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: can't put what God can do for you in the
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: parameters of your thinking. What you've got to do is
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: you've got to open up your mind so you can
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: be open to all of His goodness and what He
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: can do for you. And I'm saying that to say
- 1:26:02Speaker 5: this because a lot of times people ask God and
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: only think about stuff that they can see themselves attaining.
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: Basically with your check. There's a scripture that says you
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: have not cause you ask not. Well, then most people go, Lord,
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: help me make my rent. And then I have to
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: ask you, well, don't he always? Why would you not
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: ask God for a mortgage? Well, become a homeowner. Then
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: here comes the thinking of man when you start putting
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: in stuff like, well, I don't make enough money, my
- 1:26:39Speaker 5: credit score, I haven't been on my job long enough.
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: I can't afford that. Therefore, why would I sit up
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: and ask for that? See, you're knocking yourself out of
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: so many blessings that God can have for you by
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: your limited thinking. Because God has no limits, so you
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: have to open up your mind, so you have to
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: start thinking of things that is in your imagination.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: Why would you not ask God for a big house?
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: You don't think that God got enough sense based on
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: this scripture.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: You have not called. You asked.
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: Now most people don't ask because they don't see no
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: way they can get it. You don't think that if
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: you ask God for a big house. You don't think
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: he got enough sense to make a way for you
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: to get the house. You don't think that he knows
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: that you need more money and that he know how
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: to make a way for you to make more money.
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: You don't think he got that part figured out. You
- 1:27:37Speaker 5: think he needs your help figuring that out. You don't
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: think that he know that if you got X amount
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: of dollars, your credit scord really don't matter. You don't
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: think he know that He know all of that. But
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: you've limited to see what He can do and how
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: he can move in your life because you won't think
- 1:27:53Speaker 5: big enough. That is a book that changed my life.
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: The name of the book is called the Magic of Thinking. Big,
- 1:28:01Speaker 5: and it's by David Schwartz. It's the magic of Thinking Big.
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: And I didn't understand this until I was selling Amway.
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: Amway was one of the greatest periods of my life
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: because it introduced me to positive books. It introduced me
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: to self motivation and self help books. And those are
- 1:28:22Speaker 5: really the only books I read outside of the Bible.
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: I don't read anything. I don't read novels, love stories.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: I ain't got no time for that. But the Power
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: of positive thinking about Norman Vincent Peel, Think and Grow
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: Rich by Napoleon Hill. The Magic of Thinking Big by
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: David Schwartz. I have time to read that because the
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: Magic of Thinking Big taught me something.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: It taught me that it does.
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: Not require any more brain power to think big than
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: it does to think small. It doesn't require anymore. You
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: ain't got the grunt look. You can say Volkswagon, or
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: you can say Rose Royce. Doesn't your brain don't have
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: to shift and burn most sales and you got to
- 1:29:07Speaker 5: throw yourself into something to say Rose Royce versus Volkswagon.
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: It doesn't hurt more to say rent or mortgage. It
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: doesn't hurt no more to say new car than use car.
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: It doesn't hurt more to say hand me down than
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: it costs such than it costs you to say brand new.
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: If you buy this book, The Magic of Thinking Big
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: by David Schwartz, It's an amazing way. It changed my
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: thinking in my twenties, and so I started thinking big.
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: Once I started thinking big, I started opening up to
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: the possibilities of God.
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: Because God is big? Am I not right? God is big?
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: So why would you get in the way of his
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: bigness with your small mindedness. See, you're getting in the
- 1:29:53Speaker 5: way of your blessings by the way you think. You
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: keep thinking in terms of your paycheck. Get God ain't
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: in you your paycheck. Get out of your paycheck, man,
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: Get out of your current situations. Where you are is
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: just temporary. God has another place for you. God got
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: a great life for you, but you got to invite
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: him in and let him show it to you. Quit
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: wasting his time with this little bit of man. Get
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: out of your own way. You are in your way
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: with your limited thinking. People ask me all the time, man,
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: why you always at the meetings while you run?
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: Why don't you just sit down and take your day off?
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: Because I can't get where I'm going sitting down taking
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: my days off. I'm about the business of becoming successful
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: and happy.
- 1:30:40Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: Am I successful? Yeah? Am I happy? Yeah?
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: Happier than I ever been? But and I have everything
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: I need? Can I tell y'all that I don't need
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: nothing else? But I'm in the wont.
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: Side of life. I just won't.
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: I'm not greedy. I'm not asking you to give me nothing.
- 1:30:59Speaker 5: I'm willing to work for other things.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: I want.
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: I want to see how the other class of people live.
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: I want to see what that's like. I want to
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: see what it's like when my grandchildren's children will remember
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: my name because I left them something, because I created
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: a legacy that I put money away from my grandchildren
- 1:31:18Speaker 5: and my children's children. That's what I'm working on. You
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: can do that. God is capable. Get out your way.
