- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like theming bu bu things and it's not true.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Good Steve Hartley, I don't join jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn love,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come come on your thing, I shall will
- 2:04Speaker 1: a good morning. And everybody y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on, give me now? Want it only? Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Um. Five things that I know
- 2:14Speaker 1: successful people have to do to be successful. The principles
- 2:19Speaker 1: are the same. You can apply it to anything, you know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: if you want to be happily married, you know, whatever
- 2:25Speaker 1: it is, The principles of success are the same. There
- 2:28Speaker 1: are a series of things that you have to do.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You cannot skip the steps of success. If you do,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you're going to have to go back and step on
- 2:36Speaker 1: them anyway. So here's here's here's here's a part man
- 2:41Speaker 1: that I want you all to understand about me and
- 2:44Speaker 1: and and about how to look at it. You know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you cannot underestimate faith and prayer, You just can't. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: cannot underestimate the power of faith and the power of prayer.
- 3:09Speaker 1: See for me, this is just for me. Now, this
- 3:11Speaker 1: ain't in the scripture nowhere. This is just something I discovered.
- 3:15Speaker 1: What prayer did for me was was it tied me
- 3:18Speaker 1: to my creator. It gave me a sense and I'm
- 3:25Speaker 1: describing it this way, but I'm telling you it's deeper
- 3:28Speaker 1: than this. But it gave me a sense that I
- 3:31Speaker 1: wasn't alone and an actuality. I wasn't. But prayer helped
- 3:38Speaker 1: connect me to the power source that was available to
- 3:43Speaker 1: me to get through, get around, or get over whatever
- 3:50Speaker 1: it was that was in a way, whether it was
- 3:53Speaker 1: just a period I stretched, I had to go through
- 3:55Speaker 1: hard work. It had a period I had to go
- 3:58Speaker 1: through to learn some less since some periods I had
- 4:02Speaker 1: to go through from having to pay for some of
- 4:04Speaker 1: the mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be, prayer
- 4:09Speaker 1: gave me a decided advantage, especially oh here we go,
- 4:18Speaker 1: Especially over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in
- 4:23Speaker 1: my life that were my enemies, I didn't want them
- 4:25Speaker 1: to be my enemies, Make no mistake about this. But
- 4:30Speaker 1: through the thing called life, some things went down, Some
- 4:33Speaker 1: things happened from here and then went over here that way,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and a person became my enemy. The majority of enemies
- 4:41Speaker 1: I had came out of nowhere. I have no reason
- 4:45Speaker 1: to even see why they are my enemies. But you know,
- 4:50Speaker 1: life goes on, man, It happens from time to time.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Some people just won't let it go. See some people,
- 4:56Speaker 1: in their quest to do something to you or to
- 5:00Speaker 1: make you pay, they just won't let it go. What
- 5:04Speaker 1: it may cause you some discomfort, and some of them
- 5:06Speaker 1: may be lies about you and all of this and
- 5:09Speaker 1: all of that, but you that that can't prohibit you
- 5:12Speaker 1: from going forward. So what I'm saying is prayer gave
- 5:17Speaker 1: me the strength, wisdom understanding the carriage to either go
- 5:20Speaker 1: through it, go around it, or go over it. But
- 5:26Speaker 1: it happened. I do not know how I could have
- 5:31Speaker 1: made it. Without faith and without prayer, it would have.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Something would have got me. You two would have got me.
- 5:42Speaker 1: The bloggers would have got me. My partners that I
- 5:48Speaker 1: grew up with, that used to laugh behind my back,
- 5:51Speaker 1: They would have got me. My friend that would old
- 5:55Speaker 1: my mother's house one time and told her, you know
- 5:58Speaker 1: what Steve's problem is? He out there telling them jokes.
- 6:01Speaker 1: He just lazy. He don't want to work. That would
- 6:04Speaker 1: have got me. They didn't know. I ain't really mad
- 6:09Speaker 1: at him because they were just All they was doing
- 6:12Speaker 1: was basing their conversations and passing judgment based on what
- 6:16Speaker 1: they knew, based on what they believed. They didn't believe
- 6:21Speaker 1: I was gonna make it. But that's them though. If
- 6:26Speaker 1: it was not for the faith, which is the belief
- 6:28Speaker 1: in things that you cannot see, I wouldn't have made
- 6:31Speaker 1: it because I would have listened to everybody else who
- 6:35Speaker 1: didn't see me getting here and went along with it.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And then prayer. Oh my goodness, man, how many times
- 6:44Speaker 1: has prayer bailed me out? Prayer has bailed me out,
- 6:49Speaker 1: prestil belling me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet
- 6:53Speaker 1: as its kelt prayer. That connection to your heavenly Father,
- 7:01Speaker 1: that connection to your creator, that connection to that source
- 7:04Speaker 1: of power and inspiration, that connection of never feeling that
- 7:08Speaker 1: you're alone. You know. I was watching a Bishop Jakes
- 7:11Speaker 1: on a TV yesterday and it was a repeat and
- 7:16Speaker 1: one of the things he was talking about, well, let
- 7:20Speaker 1: me just get to the gist of it. I was
- 7:23Speaker 1: going through a portion of my life and I and
- 7:28Speaker 1: I went through it for some years y'all. I had
- 7:30Speaker 1: gotten myself into a jam that lasted for years. I'm
- 7:35Speaker 1: telling you, for years, with some serious consequences to follow.
- 7:40Speaker 1: For years. And I was so busy looking at who
- 7:48Speaker 1: I was at. I was sulking. Sometimes, Man, I'd get
- 7:54Speaker 1: on the radio, Man, I'd be just done. I was sulking.
- 7:59Speaker 1: My my spirit had gotten low. I had gotten tired
- 8:04Speaker 1: of the fight, and I would I would come on
- 8:08Speaker 1: some mornings, man, and I will try try not to
- 8:10Speaker 1: let on, but I was hurting. I was because I'd
- 8:12Speaker 1: been in it for years. Man, I had been in
- 8:14Speaker 1: this thing for years. And one thing I was doing.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I was so busy looking at where I was at.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And when I was watching Bishop Jake's he preached this sermon.
- 8:27Speaker 1: He was talking about so busy looking at where you
- 8:34Speaker 1: at that you don't even realize that God has been
- 8:43Speaker 1: with you the entire time. And you know what, Man,
- 8:49Speaker 1: just yesterday, just yesterday, I heard this and I text him.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I text Bishop Jakes, and I thanked him because it
- 8:56Speaker 1: was an old message I could tell. And I called
- 8:59Speaker 1: a text him up and I said, Man, thank you
- 9:01Speaker 1: so much. I was just watching you on TV and
- 9:04Speaker 1: you told me, Man, something that I that I'll always
- 9:08Speaker 1: remember that whatever you're going through, that he's there with
- 9:12Speaker 1: you the whole time. But see when sometimes when you're
- 9:15Speaker 1: so busy looking at where you at, you don't even
- 9:17Speaker 1: notice where he is. And see sometimes, man, that that
- 9:21Speaker 1: helped me, and that's going to help me in the
- 9:24Speaker 1: future to realize that what I'm going through, that he's there.
- 9:27Speaker 1: He's there with me, and he gonna protect me, and
- 9:30Speaker 1: he ain't gonna let my enemies overcome me, and he
- 9:32Speaker 1: ain't gonna let nobody overtake me, and he ain't gonna
- 9:35Speaker 1: let me go under because he's there. It's just you
- 9:38Speaker 1: can't be so busy looking at where you at that
- 9:40Speaker 1: you don't take notice or where he at. God is
- 9:43Speaker 1: always there, He's always available, And the best way to
- 9:46Speaker 1: tap into that and know it is you got to pray.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Prayer has changed my life. Prayer can change your life.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You can become something if you just praying. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, It's gonna start like this one two, one,

- 14:31Speaker 1: Joe says, I'm in my late forties and I'd love
- 14:33Speaker 1: to get your advice on dating women that are taller
- 14:36Speaker 1: than me. My ex wife is five nine and you
- 14:41Speaker 1: heard what I said, and I'm five seven, but the
- 14:44Speaker 1: high difference was never a big deal to her. We
- 14:48Speaker 1: got divorced, and I'm not having much luck dating. I
- 14:52Speaker 1: prefer tall women, and it's a good thing I have
- 14:55Speaker 1: thick skin, because a lot of tall women have laughed
- 14:57Speaker 1: in my face and called me short. I even tried
- 15:01Speaker 1: dating a lady that's five three, and she even said
- 15:03Speaker 1: I'm shorter than the guys she typically dating. What's a
- 15:07Speaker 1: man to do well? I mean, look, look, little man,
- 15:10Speaker 1: look at him. This what loud Joe? Little man? You know, well,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm being resorted, little man, love Joe. He called himself
- 15:22Speaker 1: little Joe. At least I'm calling him a man. I
- 15:24Speaker 1: ain't say a little boy. I'm being okay, cool, little Joe. Look,
- 15:29Speaker 1: the fact that you prefer taller women, that's fine. You
- 15:33Speaker 1: have every right to your preference. Now you guys to
- 15:37Speaker 1: find taller women that prefer shorter of men. Yeah, and
- 15:42Speaker 1: so just let's let me just cut to the chase. Tommy,
- 15:45Speaker 1: how have you do it? I'm not going through what
- 15:52Speaker 1: little Joe was going through. Well, I know you're not now,
- 15:55Speaker 1: but you know I'm pretty show you doing it. You know,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I've had pretty women love me to death with you
- 16:02Speaker 1: right right, didn't man, none of them? So what happened? Man? Right?
- 16:10Speaker 1: Well see, and you know, just based on Time's response,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm thinking you're gonna have to up yourself esteem, little Joe.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You're gonna have to pull yourself up and just keep
- 16:19Speaker 1: your head up and don't let nobody belittle you, you know,
- 16:23Speaker 1: so to speak, don't let nobody talk down to you,
- 16:28Speaker 1: you know, stop keep up, stop letting people walk over you.
- 16:32Speaker 1: This is not helping. You don't not help. Get up
- 16:35Speaker 1: in their chest, you know what I'm saying. Disrespectful is
- 16:40Speaker 1: what I'm sorry. Get up in their chest? You know? Jump?
- 16:46Speaker 1: You know, do most squads work on your leaping? Well,
- 16:51Speaker 1: he married a tall woman. There's another tall woman out
- 16:54Speaker 1: there that don't have them. I'm sure. I'm pretty sure
- 16:56Speaker 1: it is. Yeah, all right, Ranita and Marietta, Georgia says
- 16:59Speaker 1: I four girlfriends and we went on a girl's weekend
- 17:02Speaker 1: in the North Georgia Mountains last week to do an
- 17:04Speaker 1: intervention on a girlfriend that's engaged to a controlling man.
- 17:10Speaker 1: We rented an airbnb and had some wine before we
- 17:13Speaker 1: tried talking to her about her man. She was very defensive,
- 17:17Speaker 1: so we let it go and went to bed. Around
- 17:19Speaker 1: two am, her fiance popped up at our place. He
- 17:23Speaker 1: said he couldn't sleep without her, so he drove over
- 17:27Speaker 1: an hour and a half to pick her up. She
- 17:29Speaker 1: thought it was sweet. We told her it was very creepy.
- 17:33Speaker 1: She's not getting it, so should we stay out of it?
- 17:38Speaker 1: That's a mess. Absolutely what the old people say. I
- 17:42Speaker 1: can't get sick and tired for you, right, that's it? Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: you know but if you think and this is cute
- 17:49Speaker 1: and you fit to marry him, this cute gonna way
- 17:51Speaker 1: off after a while, because I don't care how much
- 17:53Speaker 1: you love a person. You need space. Yeah, you need
- 17:57Speaker 1: the ability to breathe and do you and be you.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And if he's that controlling and that over barring, it's
- 18:03Speaker 1: gonna get old and then probably got old now. But
- 18:06Speaker 1: you're thinking it's cute. Oh, he won't be so bad. Okay,
- 18:10Speaker 1: all right, that's gonna get old. Yeah, those girlfriends, you
- 18:14Speaker 1: won't even have those girlfriends anymore. That's creating. It's gonna
- 18:20Speaker 1: be a job. I can't that's yeah, that's what controlling
- 18:24Speaker 1: men do. Now, you gonnass being in a basement getting
- 18:27Speaker 1: your food bought downstairs to you? If you do, all right,
- 18:32Speaker 1: we're moving on. Frida, Yeah, please wake up, Please wake
- 18:36Speaker 1: up on that one, Ranita, uh Frida and leads. Alabama says,
- 18:40Speaker 1: I found out that my son's father had sex with
- 18:43Speaker 1: my daddy's ex girlfriend that lived with us after my
- 18:46Speaker 1: son was born. My son's father dropped by a lot
- 18:50Speaker 1: to see the baby. He said, I would be sleeping
- 18:52Speaker 1: my room with the baby, and my daddy would be
- 18:54Speaker 1: gone to work. And he and daddy's girlfriend would have
- 18:57Speaker 1: sex in our den. She broke up with my daddy
- 19:00Speaker 1: a few weeks ago, and it's still sleeping with my
- 19:02Speaker 1: son's father. My son's father only told me that to
- 19:05Speaker 1: hurt me. So I want my daddy to set him straight.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Should I tell my daddy, Well, see, you're gonna mess
- 19:13Speaker 1: around and lose somebody down. Be very careful with this.
- 19:17Speaker 1: See he said it to hurt you. But if you
- 19:20Speaker 1: tell your father, you don't think that's gonna hurt your father,
- 19:24Speaker 1: And then your father might want to hurt him, and
- 19:27Speaker 1: then he gonna defend himself and you and your man
- 19:31Speaker 1: is already a chicken sugar honey, I his teeth, so
- 19:36Speaker 1: now he ain't gonna take this whooping from this old man.
- 19:39Speaker 1: So now you're gonna mess around the star something don't
- 19:41Speaker 1: have to be What difference do it make? You don't
- 19:44Speaker 1: want him no more, but he and Daddy's girl he
- 19:48Speaker 1: do need. But see he gonna get that life. Gonna
- 19:51Speaker 1: do that for him. But don't tell your father because
- 19:54Speaker 1: your father may do something to this man, and you
- 19:56Speaker 1: may your father end up in prison. That's the danger here.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I don't leave it alone. All you gotta do is
- 20:02Speaker 1: put it on put it on Facebook, posted on his
- 20:05Speaker 1: job bulletin board. Yeah, gotta tell your daddy go down
- 20:10Speaker 1: there to his job and just take a thumbtack and
- 20:12Speaker 1: just post it on his bulletin board in the cafeteria. Okay.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Carrie in Michigan says, I'm a twenty nine year old
- 20:20Speaker 1: married man and I can't get my wife to stop
- 20:22Speaker 1: using the bathroom, oh God, with the door open. She
- 20:25Speaker 1: didn't do this while we were dating, but she says
- 20:27Speaker 1: it's common for married couples. I have never and will
- 20:31Speaker 1: never be discomfortable with her. I think using the toilet
- 20:34Speaker 1: should be done in private. I have to lock the
- 20:36Speaker 1: door to keep her out when I'm using it. My
- 20:38Speaker 1: parents agree with me, but I want your opinion. Is
- 20:41Speaker 1: this something I need to get used to break? No,
- 20:45Speaker 1: I don't know. No woman leaves the dope and why
- 20:47Speaker 1: would she want to lead a dope? That's a deal break?
- 20:52Speaker 1: All right? We gotta go Seello coming up next, and
- 20:55Speaker 1: a few times he's run that prank back Right after this,
- 20:58Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the

- 21:58Speaker 1: not the issue with the what what do you need, sir?
- 22:02Speaker 1: My name is Burns, okay, and I lived two streets
- 22:06Speaker 1: over from y'all. Do your son play with a boy
- 22:08Speaker 1: named Tim a Timmis. Yes, they grew up together. They
- 22:12Speaker 1: play ball together. That that's where they are now. They
- 22:14Speaker 1: playing ball right now? What they playing ball? It right now?
- 22:17Speaker 1: Sitting down there at the park the play ball, and
- 22:20Speaker 1: they don't they always the part. That's what I need
- 22:22Speaker 1: to know. I need to know where they are. Let
- 22:24Speaker 1: me tell you something. Hold on saying, hold on saying
- 22:27Speaker 1: what you need to know where they are for and
- 22:28Speaker 1: what you're gonna do? What is the problem? My dead
- 22:31Speaker 1: boys there and Tim come there. They were walking up
- 22:35Speaker 1: my street today and came over here. I have a
- 22:38Speaker 1: prosthetic arm. My right arm is prosthetic, and they know
- 22:41Speaker 1: the hold hold on saying, hold you say you got
- 22:44Speaker 1: a prosthetic arm, Yes, I do. My right arm is
- 22:47Speaker 1: a prosthetic arm. And then boys came over they got
- 22:51Speaker 1: to do with my son, your boy and that boy
- 22:53Speaker 1: Tim came over here and pulled my arm off of
- 22:56Speaker 1: me and ran down the street with it. The hold
- 22:58Speaker 1: on saying, hold on saying it. I'm saying, you trying
- 23:01Speaker 1: to tell me that that that you lost your arm
- 23:04Speaker 1: to my son and his friend and they ran off
- 23:07Speaker 1: with your arm. They knew and played basketball. Is that
- 23:09Speaker 1: what you're telling me? So I'm telling you that I
- 23:12Speaker 1: don't know what. I didn't know nothing about no basketball.
- 23:14Speaker 1: They didn't came and took my prosthetic arm off for me.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I'm saying. Hold I'm saying, we tell you something that
- 23:20Speaker 1: doesn't sound like what something my son would do. Okay,
- 23:24Speaker 1: exactly what they do where they're going at all times,
- 23:27Speaker 1: and that's not something that they would do. I'm sick
- 23:29Speaker 1: of players talking about what they kid will do. It
- 23:32Speaker 1: won't do. You don't know what they do when they
- 23:34Speaker 1: with y'all. I'm glad you told me that, say at
- 23:36Speaker 1: the part, because I'm gonna go right over here to
- 23:38Speaker 1: this far now and when I found him, I'm a woman,
- 23:41Speaker 1: can't get my all back. Okay, hold on, hold on,
- 23:44Speaker 1: hold on saying hold on, just hold everything, Okay, hold
- 23:47Speaker 1: on saying now, because you don't say that you won't
- 23:50Speaker 1: go do something that I know you don't really mean.
- 23:52Speaker 1: All right, say what I mean exactly what I'm saying.
- 23:56Speaker 1: They got my all? How you thinking feels that somebody's
- 23:59Speaker 1: trying to take you off? Sir? Sir? Okay, look, let's

- 24:30Speaker 1: you're talking about my son, and I know what he
- 24:33Speaker 1: is capable of doing and what he's not gonna do,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and he don't disrespect the older people like that, especially
- 24:39Speaker 1: with somebody with it with an impairment of disablement or
- 24:41Speaker 1: whatever you got. I'm sorry about your heart. I'm I'm
- 24:45Speaker 1: on the hill man. I'm trying. Man. If you, of course,
- 24:47Speaker 1: do you not think taking somebody all is disrespectful, that's
- 24:51Speaker 1: disrespectful to take off the old man all and run
- 24:55Speaker 1: down the street with sir disrespectful? But what is what
- 24:57Speaker 1: it is? Not? What it is not disrespectful? Also, is
- 25:00Speaker 1: you telling me you're gonna go up there and what
- 25:02Speaker 1: my son and that's not gonna happen. Okay, I'm going
- 25:06Speaker 1: that's what I'm gonna do. I'm shut up as soon
- 25:09Speaker 1: as I get over the heads off. Okay a second, sir,
- 25:12Speaker 1: you're gonna do what to my sons. I'm anna son
- 25:15Speaker 1: up as soon as I get to this part, and
- 25:17Speaker 1: the ain't pittman, that's with it because they took my
- 25:20Speaker 1: arm and they know they did. I'm gonna okay, let
- 25:23Speaker 1: let me tell you something. You don't call me up,
- 25:25Speaker 1: disrespecting me and threatening my son. Do you know what

- 25:54Speaker 1: with your life because you can't find your arm. You
- 25:56Speaker 1: ain't got no sense, and you're over here with the
- 25:59Speaker 1: wrong people saying me all right, you don't know. You
- 26:01Speaker 1: don't know what happened to my arm. You don't know
- 26:04Speaker 1: how I lost my arm. You don't know what happened

- 31:06Speaker 1: we knew if we put this out and Steve didn't
- 31:08Speaker 1: like it and then we didn't do something Jackie. I
- 31:10Speaker 1: told hey, hey, Steve, I told him, you know how
- 31:12Speaker 1: many you know how many people, you know how many
- 31:14Speaker 1: mechanics gonna be in tears when they hear the song.
- 31:18Speaker 1: You gotta know how to change radiators. This is what
- 31:20Speaker 1: people here. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, Chevy on
- 31:24Speaker 1: change radiators. Ye, like it's really gonna hit Damn. I
- 31:28Speaker 1: told him, I'm telling them, dog, you're not lying. See
- 31:32Speaker 1: listened to me. Man. First of all, okay, we're gonna
- 31:34Speaker 1: talk about the single in a minute, but let me
- 31:36Speaker 1: tell you something you as performance at the Grammys because
- 31:39Speaker 1: I had heard the song, but when I watch you
- 31:42Speaker 1: all visibly visually, First of all, the damn suits y'all
- 31:48Speaker 1: had on. Yeah, I had black navy, gray Russ and
- 31:54Speaker 1: seal the damn suits with the dog here call us
- 32:00Speaker 1: oh pimp oh man. I was in tior to the elbow, Yes,
- 32:06Speaker 1: the border hell where they're supposed to be. Hey, man,
- 32:10Speaker 1: all right, let let's go man. Look. First of all,
- 32:12Speaker 1: the name silk Sonic. I loved it, man. Now I
- 32:16Speaker 1: heard that Boosey Collins gave y'all that name. Is that true? Yeah? Yeah?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Heard the song and that was it. That's what he
- 32:24Speaker 1: came up with. And then we said, all right, we're
- 32:26Speaker 1: not gonna argue with with the og and we'll take it.
- 32:30Speaker 1: You could have answered anything, yeah, man. And we saw
- 32:34Speaker 1: you guys perform Sunday night at the Grammys and you
- 32:37Speaker 1: all really lived up to that name Silk Sonic. Man,
- 32:40Speaker 1: How did this all come about? Whose idea was it
- 32:43Speaker 1: for the two of you to join together with this
- 32:46Speaker 1: dynamic duo? Andy ahead, you know what, I'm sorry? And
- 32:50Speaker 1: Andy went on two in twenty seventeen, getting his band
- 32:54Speaker 1: the Free Nationals, my band, the Huligans. We all got
- 32:57Speaker 1: along and you know, we watched and whooping an ass
- 33:00Speaker 1: on stage and friendship. Me and Andy started to go
- 33:05Speaker 1: into the studio. We were out in like Germany, sneaking
- 33:08Speaker 1: off from going to a studio try to right records.
- 33:10Speaker 1: One record ended up on Andy's album on Ventura, and
- 33:14Speaker 1: we had an idea that we never finished and in
- 33:17Speaker 1: while Quarantine was happening. After a couple of months of
- 33:20Speaker 1: not coming to the studio, I went back into the
- 33:22Speaker 1: studio and one of those ideas I called Andy up
- 33:27Speaker 1: actually on his birth burning I said, I think I
- 33:30Speaker 1: got the fact that idea. I think I got to
- 33:32Speaker 1: plush out, I got a core progression for it comes
- 33:34Speaker 1: to the studio. Yeah, I was about to brown that night. Yeah,
- 33:38Speaker 1: so he comes up drunk. All about that, Yeah that
- 33:41Speaker 1: he comes doing his hell and dang his ass off.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So a couple of dates he actually sings better drunk,
- 33:48Speaker 1: which is weird, but we all do it. But it
- 33:52Speaker 1: kind of just get tearing into like, uh, you want
- 33:54Speaker 1: to come back tomorrow, and it just did you know,
- 33:58Speaker 1: went from down was like a rocket ship and we
- 34:01Speaker 1: ended up getting a collection of songs. It was so
- 34:03Speaker 1: proud of. But being leading the door open and leaders
- 34:05Speaker 1: are open. I think it's um. I think both Andy
- 34:08Speaker 1: and Knowledge man, this is you know, it's a ballad.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It's got core changes and modulates that the groom changes
- 34:16Speaker 1: up in the middle. It's a very empitious. It's really
- 34:19Speaker 1: not it's not really like um TikTok friendly or like
- 34:24Speaker 1: how don't we you know people you know it's listening
- 34:27Speaker 1: to in twenty twenty one. But it's just kind of like,
- 34:29Speaker 1: this is this is what you know, this is what
- 34:32Speaker 1: it sounds like if you know, when me and Andy
- 34:34Speaker 1: in the studio and this is what we love, and
- 34:35Speaker 1: this is what we want to this is what we
- 34:37Speaker 1: want to do and what we want to play. That's
- 34:38Speaker 1: Andy on drums one take, I'm on guitar, Demon pano
- 34:43Speaker 1: I got my friend Brody on bass, and it's like,
- 34:45Speaker 1: that's what that's what we do. That's Gold stage. Yeah,
- 34:48Speaker 1: Larry Larry Golds who's a legend. Uh. We got him
- 34:51Speaker 1: to do a string arrangement and a Philly soul legend.
- 34:54Speaker 1: He did a string arrangement for us, and it's like
- 34:56Speaker 1: we you know, this is what we love. We don't
- 34:58Speaker 1: know if the world's gonna love, but this is what
- 35:01Speaker 1: we love and you know, hope for the best. Wow.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Hey man, listen and pack. Let me ask you a question, man,
- 35:09Speaker 1: why does this love? I'm asking us. I don't care.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I'm here y'all. Y'all, I can tell y'all friends because
- 35:19Speaker 1: both the stupid people always find each other. I'll tell
- 35:24Speaker 1: you where we go back now we do. Hey, man,
- 35:28Speaker 1: we're gonna take a break. We come back when I
- 35:30Speaker 1: come back. Here's a question I want to ask you, guys,
- 35:34Speaker 1: where does the love for this sound come from? Because look, man,
- 35:39Speaker 1: it's such a throwback sound. It is such You grab
- 35:43Speaker 1: the music, the tones, the harmony, the lyrics, you put
- 35:49Speaker 1: it all together the way it's been. And when I
- 35:51Speaker 1: come back, I want to find out where that love
- 35:54Speaker 1: comes from from each one of you. And I'm gonna
- 35:56Speaker 1: start with Pack. When we come back, We'll be right back, everybody.
- 35:58Speaker 1: We got Bruno Mars and Anderson Pack. We got we
- 36:01Speaker 1: got him on Silk Silk Sonics debut album. We'll be
- 36:04Speaker 1: right back, right back. You're listening, all right, everybody, We're
- 36:10Speaker 1: back as promised. And on the phone today, our special
- 36:14Speaker 1: guest is uh Bruno Mars and Anderson Pack. Uh. They
- 36:18Speaker 1: formed the group called Silk Sonic and they got a
- 36:20Speaker 1: debut album. It's called An Evening with Silk Sonic and
- 36:23Speaker 1: it'll be very available later on this year. And the
- 36:26Speaker 1: lead single is right now of course it's called leave
- 36:28Speaker 1: the Door Open, and I'm gonna start with you Anderson.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Where does this love for this sound come from? It
- 36:35Speaker 1: was my mama. This is this is all the music
- 36:37Speaker 1: my mom was playing. And my mom didn't do letting
- 36:39Speaker 1: pass like if it was about Tony Tony. Tony was
- 36:42Speaker 1: probably about his new as is gonna get Other than that,
- 36:45Speaker 1: it was all gonna be Earth Point of Fire and uh,
- 36:48Speaker 1: you know, uh think Beverly and made Stevie Wonder and
- 36:52Speaker 1: prints all that stuff. I knew all that stuff before
- 36:54Speaker 1: I even knew about like Snoop and dre and stuff.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I just that was the music that was going at
- 36:59Speaker 1: my home, and I was in music that was in
- 37:00Speaker 1: the car and we weren't allowed to I want to
- 37:03Speaker 1: play this another that my mom was very strict about
- 37:06Speaker 1: that you're gonna listen to all this and you're gonna
- 37:08Speaker 1: know about the dramatics and the dells. And I'm in
- 37:11Speaker 1: you know, second grade, you know, singing all these songs,
- 37:15Speaker 1: and I just thought that was the way to sing,
- 37:17Speaker 1: and that was that was how music was made, you know,
- 37:19Speaker 1: And that that developed more into me playing drums in
- 37:22Speaker 1: the church, But it started there at the house my
- 37:24Speaker 1: mom My Sisters was a musical music around. Wow. I
- 37:29Speaker 1: mean I've talked to you about this, Bruno, because you
- 37:33Speaker 1: and I had a conversation backstage one time. My heart, Yes,
- 37:38Speaker 1: I said, brother, you have no idea you are about
- 37:41Speaker 1: to be mega, I said it. Then for you, Bruno,
- 37:45Speaker 1: where does this love for this sound come from? Steve?
- 37:48Speaker 1: Thank you, by the way, I remember that you did
- 37:50Speaker 1: say that. And I'm at the top right now. Yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 1: all the way as well, Andy, and let me know
- 38:01Speaker 1: what's going on with next listed names. And for me,
- 38:06Speaker 1: the love of this is my father. Actually, you know,
- 38:09Speaker 1: my father was big on vocal groups, starting from doo Wop.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I named my first album Duafs with Hooligans, and then
- 38:16Speaker 1: later on, you know, he started introducing me to sixties
- 38:20Speaker 1: and seventies soul groups like the Delfines and Stylistics, to dramatics,
- 38:24Speaker 1: the Old Days and Spinners and and of course the
- 38:27Speaker 1: Jackson Five, you know. And I remember being a kid
- 38:31Speaker 1: telling my dad, you know, like, no, you gotta listen
- 38:33Speaker 1: to this new edition, and you gotta listen to this
- 38:35Speaker 1: Bobby Brown and you know, and here I am, and
- 38:39Speaker 1: I basically turned it to my father listening to everything
- 38:45Speaker 1: because for some reason, I think that's what Brett brought.
- 38:50Speaker 1: You know, first of all, that's how me and Aie
- 38:52Speaker 1: clicks up so easily. It's like it's alway wound is
- 38:55Speaker 1: listening to this music that our parents put us on
- 38:58Speaker 1: and you know, admiring the reduction and like you said,
- 39:01Speaker 1: the harmonies and just the one on one songwriting. You know,
- 39:05Speaker 1: like it's not it doesn't got to be over complicated
- 39:08Speaker 1: if you just say the right thing at the right
- 39:10Speaker 1: time with the right note. And bottom line is the
- 39:14Speaker 1: live instrumentation of everything. Hey, Bruno and Anderson, hang on
- 39:17Speaker 1: right there, Hold on one second, fellas. I like where
- 39:19Speaker 1: we're going with this. We'll be right back. We're coming
- 39:21Speaker 1: back with more with Bruno, Mars and Anderson pack right
- 39:25Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, y'all we back, Fellas.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I appreciate you waiting. Okay, So here's the deal. I
- 39:34Speaker 1: want you on the set up this single, tell us
- 39:36Speaker 1: how it came about, and then we're gonna play the
- 39:39Speaker 1: single for the people right now. I said, Andy, what
- 39:42Speaker 1: do you think of it? I'm a leader, the old man,
- 39:46Speaker 1: and and he goes, Bet goes behind the drums. And
- 39:48Speaker 1: when you start playing that that ba and I'm proud
- 39:55Speaker 1: of it and that's all you can hold for. So
- 39:57Speaker 1: no matter what it does in the chart, I know
- 39:59Speaker 1: for that this is the best that we can do
- 40:02Speaker 1: and I'm good with that. Right Wow. Turning back and
- 40:05Speaker 1: we're leaving the door, and you know it's about to springtime.
- 40:08Speaker 1: It's feeling good. Something the dance too, something slow dance

- 47:46Speaker 1: to be let go by the end of the day.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I mean, I gotta do it. But it looks like
- 47:51Speaker 1: the severances. Nobody can live off of this for even
- 47:54Speaker 1: three freaking months. I already know that this is this
- 47:57Speaker 1: is really tough. Oh oh, all right, so look, bring
- 48:03Speaker 1: me everybody's stuff. Let me at least after lunch. They
- 48:07Speaker 1: all come in here and pick up their things. That's
- 48:09Speaker 1: all I can do. Okay, is this the right button here? Okay, hello,
- 48:16Speaker 1: it's not the right button. We can so we might
- 48:21Speaker 1: have to be kidding me. I've been with us. I've
- 48:23Speaker 1: been with us for five years, all right, I've not
- 48:26Speaker 1: I've not let you down for a quarter, the company
- 48:27Speaker 1: down for a quder. This is this is ridiculous. I
- 48:29Speaker 1: cannot believe this. And I'm on travel right now, so
- 48:32Speaker 1: how am I going to come and get my things?
- 48:35Speaker 1: But it's not anything. This is ridiculous. This is how
- 48:37Speaker 1: you're gonna let us know, dude, this is unprofessional. This
- 48:40Speaker 1: is trash. I cannot believe you. If you only need
- 48:43Speaker 1: a lawyer, I have someone, I have contacts, we can talk.
- 48:46Speaker 1: But honestly, sherman, this is this is, this is unaccessible.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Let's not do the whole lawyer thing, guys. Okay, let's
- 48:54Speaker 1: not do that, all right now, People get let go
- 48:57Speaker 1: from companies people get let go all the time, and
- 48:59Speaker 1: you guys know this. Let's go on a conference call
- 49:02Speaker 1: with other people. What are you? This is ridiculous. Are
- 49:06Speaker 1: you giving a personal business? Yes, yes, that's true. You're
- 49:08Speaker 1: giving personal business to another. Uh, it's exactly. It's not
- 49:12Speaker 1: a whole. Yeah, you cannot be doing this. Yeah, email
- 49:14Speaker 1: me that lawyer's number for sure. Yes, I guess you
- 49:18Speaker 1: want it to David. Thank you. I didn't even I
- 49:21Speaker 1: didn't try to for you guys to learn it this way.
- 49:23Speaker 1: All right, I'm okay. Let's just say I'm not good
- 49:26Speaker 1: at the conference button. I don't know how to put anybody.
- 49:30Speaker 1: You're not. This is not a good message. It's not
- 49:33Speaker 1: it's not approblic professional messaging. In fact, this is I'm mortified.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I cannot believe this. I put into my life, this company,
- 49:42Speaker 1: this is beside it best employees. So it is. It is.
- 49:46Speaker 1: It's absolutely right. It is illegal. This is illegal. Yep, yep,
- 49:49Speaker 1: I will. I'm writing the state. Wait, wait, what do
- 49:54Speaker 1: you mean you're recording it? What are you? What are
- 49:56Speaker 1: you recording it for? What? Yes? Recording this call? Recording David, listen,
- 50:03Speaker 1: I don't consent on being recorded. I want that known man. Okay, okay,
- 50:11Speaker 1: can I can I ask you guys something? Do you? Guys?
- 50:13Speaker 1: Are you familiar with your co worker named Barry Dillard? Yes,
- 50:17Speaker 1: you have to answer this. Barry fired too. How are
- 50:20Speaker 1: you gonna tell him? Let me tell you what's going on.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Barry told me to call you. This is nephew taught
- 50:26Speaker 1: me from the Steve Harvey Martin Show. All three of
- 50:29Speaker 1: y'all just got prayed by your co worker Barry Diller
- 50:37Speaker 1: kid me. Oh my god, I have a heart attack.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Oh my god. Hey y'all. Nobody has lost their job, Hannah, Frank, David,
- 50:56Speaker 1: nobody has lost their job. But your co worker Barry
- 51:00Speaker 1: Dillon got me to prank phone call you, all right,
- 51:03Speaker 1: so everybody's got the job. We're good, We're wow. Okay, okay,
- 51:12Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm good. Now, good, y'all gotta tell me this.
- 51:15Speaker 1: What is the baddest radio show in the land? Let
- 51:19Speaker 1: me hear it clearly, man, Tommy Date, I'm mortified. Man,
- 51:39Speaker 1: this is illegal. Yes, illegal, I have a lawyer. I
- 51:44Speaker 1: have a lawyer. We can record it, yes we can't.
- 51:48Speaker 1: Are you recording? Very great? Yeah, Sherman Shermany assistant, you're
- 51:55Speaker 1: firing us in front of other people. Right, totally illegal.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Bought anybody on the zoom if I don't call how
- 52:08Speaker 1: you pressed it? But right, but definitely didn't get that
- 52:10Speaker 1: fire and stuff. So we can get rid of the
- 52:16Speaker 1: I don't have to answer that you Barry. You're gonna
- 52:23Speaker 1: fire him too. People stealing for them, y'all didn't feel
- 52:30Speaker 1: like that feels good? No, no, no, this ain't no
- 52:33Speaker 1: good time. Tell me give me something, Hey, who black?
- 52:37Speaker 1: I can call it five? Give me somebody black, I
- 52:40Speaker 1: can call it five? Will in turn right now? Will
- 52:47Speaker 1: it ain't gonna go like you think? We don't have
- 52:50Speaker 1: that many beats? Now? Who could I fire on y'all?
- 52:53Speaker 1: That's black? Right now? Who can I tell you what?
- 52:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you what it better not be for what
- 52:57Speaker 1: I think it is. What evaluation say, no evaluations firing
- 53:08Speaker 1: ever will stow. April sixteenth through the eighteenth, nephew, come

- 54:42Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you here. It
- 54:44Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter. All right, thank you, nephew. Subject
- 54:47Speaker 1: my girlfriend is talking behind my back? Do Stephen Shirley.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I've been with my girlfriend for close to a year
- 54:54Speaker 1: and she has a problem with talking behind my back.
- 54:58Speaker 1: I noticed a change and her friends greeted me and
- 55:01Speaker 1: acted around me, but I didn't think much of it
- 55:04Speaker 1: until I found out why they were doing that. One night,
- 55:07Speaker 1: my girl got an attitude with me because I was
- 55:09Speaker 1: playing a video game and she wanted to argue about it.
- 55:12Speaker 1: She started texting somebody back to back, and when she
- 55:15Speaker 1: fell asleep, her phone was still dinging. I checked the
- 55:18Speaker 1: last text and it came from one of her gay
- 55:21Speaker 1: male friends, and he typed that I am not a
- 55:23Speaker 1: real man and she can do so much better. I
- 55:26Speaker 1: didn't read any more messages after that because I already
- 55:29Speaker 1: knew she had been dogging me out to him. I
- 55:31Speaker 1: sent him a text telling him to watch himself. I
- 55:35Speaker 1: let her know that I read his message. She said
- 55:39Speaker 1: she needed to vent and he's always been her go
- 55:42Speaker 1: to person. She agreed that she was wrong and I
- 55:45Speaker 1: let it go. But the same sort of thing keeps
- 55:48Speaker 1: happening with two other friends of hers. She has told
- 55:51Speaker 1: them a lot of negative stuff about me, and I
- 55:54Speaker 1: could tell because of the little comments they make when
- 55:58Speaker 1: they think I can't hear them. Here's the deal. I
- 56:01Speaker 1: wasn't raised in the suburbs like my girlfriend. My single
- 56:04Speaker 1: mother is a teacher and I grew up in an apartment.
- 56:08Speaker 1: My girlfriend and I agree a lot over We disagree
- 56:11Speaker 1: a lot over a lot of small stuff. When she's upset,
- 56:15Speaker 1: she runs to her friends with her problems, and she
- 56:18Speaker 1: vents about how I fall short in certain areas and
- 56:22Speaker 1: how she has to constantly correct me on things. This
- 56:26Speaker 1: is a major flaw with my girlfriend. But on the
- 56:29Speaker 1: flip side, I love her personality and we have great chemistry.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Not to mention, she's gorgeous. I'm thirty and I'd love
- 56:37Speaker 1: to get married soon. But is she marriage material? Well,
- 56:42Speaker 1: I'm going to answer that question this way. You ask
- 56:46Speaker 1: is she married marriage material? Well, yes, she's marriage material
- 56:50Speaker 1: if you don't mind her telling everything that goes on
- 56:53Speaker 1: in your house. You already know what's going to happen.
- 56:56Speaker 1: She's not gonna just magically stop because you put a
- 57:00Speaker 1: ring on it, and things just don't work like that.
- 57:03Speaker 1: This is who she is, and she she can't hold
- 57:07Speaker 1: water obviously when it comes to when she's mad and
- 57:09Speaker 1: talking to her friends, she's someone who wants to feel
- 57:12Speaker 1: like they're right when you guys argue, I think she's
- 57:16Speaker 1: being selfish and disrespectful to you as her man, and
- 57:20Speaker 1: she doesn't care how it makes you feel. So I
- 57:23Speaker 1: just hope you know that you don't have any other
- 57:26Speaker 1: secrets that you don't want anyone else to know. You know,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you talk about your shortcomings and all of that. So
- 57:35Speaker 1: if she gets mad, she's gonna take it to the
- 57:37Speaker 1: streets period. So and there's no way you're gonna be
- 57:41Speaker 1: able to stop her. You can't because it hasn't worked
- 57:44Speaker 1: so far. She says she's gonna quit, and then she doesn't,
- 57:47Speaker 1: and you know she's still calling her go to vent person.
- 57:52Speaker 1: She talks about you to her other friends too. You
- 57:54Speaker 1: mentioned that in the letter you can't be in a
- 57:57Speaker 1: marriage with her walking around on an eggshells. You've got
- 58:00Speaker 1: to be able to be yourself. Your spouse is that
- 58:02Speaker 1: one person you know that you should be able to
- 58:04Speaker 1: be free with. You can't be like that with her
- 58:07Speaker 1: because if you make her man, she's gonna tell everyone
- 58:10Speaker 1: who listens. You might be thirty and ready for love, nephew,
- 58:14Speaker 1: See how I did that. You might be ready for
- 58:16Speaker 1: love and marriage. But I don't think she is not.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Right now, Steve, well, my girlfriend is talking behind my back.
- 58:25Speaker 1: That's already a problem, a big one. Now you've been
- 58:30Speaker 1: with her for close to a year, and you say,
- 58:33Speaker 1: the major problem is she talks behind your back, because
- 58:37Speaker 1: you'd have notice of what a change in the way
- 58:39Speaker 1: her friends greet you and act around you, and now
- 58:42Speaker 1: you ain't given much thought. And then you found out
- 58:44Speaker 1: why they were doing it. Your girl got a attitude
- 58:47Speaker 1: because you play in a video game. She wanted to argue.
- 58:50Speaker 1: She started texting everybody back to back, and she fell
- 58:53Speaker 1: asleep where you checked him answering machine, and you found
- 58:56Speaker 1: out what the text was about. And then she text
- 59:04Speaker 1: text came from her gay man friends, from one of
- 59:07Speaker 1: her gay man friends, and he typed it, I'm not
- 59:10Speaker 1: a real man, and she could do much better. So
- 59:14Speaker 1: you didn't read no more because you know what she
- 59:17Speaker 1: had been dog, and you, texting back, told ing watch yourself,
- 59:20Speaker 1: which is what you should have did. Because since I
- 59:24Speaker 1: ain't a real man, let me tell you what real
- 59:26Speaker 1: men do. So now, since you talking to my girl
- 59:30Speaker 1: about me, that real men ain't puposed to do that.
- 59:34Speaker 1: But you didn't did that, So now let me tell
- 59:36Speaker 1: you're gonna be some consequences next time you do it.
- 59:39Speaker 1: I'll leave all the rest of that alone. So anyway
- 59:42Speaker 1: that it kept happening with two of her other friends,
- 59:46Speaker 1: and they make all these comments, and then you know,
- 59:50Speaker 1: you saying that the difference is you wasn't raised like her.
- 59:53Speaker 1: You grew up in the suburbs and everything, and and
- 59:56Speaker 1: your mother was a single mother, and a lot of
- 59:59Speaker 1: stuff like that. All disagree over a lot of small stuff.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: So when I come back, I'm gonna go over is
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: she marriage material or not? Because that's your question because
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: you're thirty and you want to get married. Is she
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: marriage material or not? I'll let you know that when
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: we come back. Brother, All right, thank you, Steve. We'll
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: have part two of Steve's response to twenty three minutes
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's subject is my girlfriend is talking
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: behind my back. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letters. Subject my girlfriend's talking behind my back?
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: All right? This man got this girlfriend that talks behind
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: her back, goes to all her friends with all the problems.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: He's noticed a difference in her noticed the difference in
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the way her friends treat him. So he started wondering
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: what was up. That got an argument over video game
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: one name. She started texting everybody back to back. She
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: falls asleep. He checks a message one of her gay
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: male friends says, you can do better than that. He's
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: not a real man. He gets mad and texts the
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: dude back and says, hey, watch yourself now for this
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: dude to tell you that you're not a real man.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: But then he does something that ain't manly right there,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: telling his girl you ain't a real man. He is
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: somebody else's business. Now, how manly is at? So now
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: here's the question. You said, I'd love to get married soon,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: but if she marriage material, Well, young man, let's go
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: over a couple of things. First of all, she talks
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: about you behind your back. Then in the letter, you
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: say you all disagree about a lot of small stuff. Okay.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Then in the letter you said I love her personality
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: and we have great chemistry. But you say, this is
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: a major flaw that my girlfriend has because she does
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: it constantly. But then you turn around and say, I
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: love her personality and we have great chemistry. Okay, understand
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: what you're saying. You have great chemistry, but you aregu
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: a lot about small stuff. She's got a great personality,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: but she talk about you behind your back. Now, the
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: reason you can't see none of this is because you
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: love her and not to mention. She's gorgeous, sir. I
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: can't tell you how many men that got in trouble
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: because of that. She's gorgeous. She might be beautiful on
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: the outside, but she don't see that beautiful on the
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: inside because she just talking about you. Now, if you
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: want to marry her, understand something. This is not gonna
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: get better. It's gonna get worse. Marriage doesn't solve any problems.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: You can't just get married and all of a sudden,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: whatever problems you had before you got married, they get fixed.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: So she gonna still talk about you, and now you're
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: gonna be married and she's gonna tell all your married business.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: And I can't even tell you how marriage ain't gonna
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: survive that. The secret I had to learn to a
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: great marriage is that the couple should form a two
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: handed circle and don't let nobody in it. Don't let
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the kids in it, the in laws in it, and
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: damn show don't let your family in it. And you
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: show ain't got no business letting the friends in it.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: She has her friends in y'all circle, and all y'all
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: god is a boyfriend girlfriend thing. So when y'all getting married,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: guess who's gonna be in the circle. Her her gay friends,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: her girlfriends. Everything ain't so, bro, you're heading down the
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: life from misery because she gorgeous. Now you're thirty and
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: you love to get married soon. But is she the
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: marriage material? I mean, ask yourself that man, you should
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: be marrying a person who is down with you. Who
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: is your ride or die your friend? So now let
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: me ask you something. If you've heard people say that
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: their marriage works because they're married to their best friend,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: let me see if you're married your best friend. Let
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: me ask you this. Do you have any friends who
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: do this to you? Do you have any of your
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: friends that do this to you, that's talking about you
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: behind your back. No, because you pick your friends. I
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: ain't got no friends to talk about me behind my back. Now,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I got some friends that are defend me. I got
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: some partners, man, that really know me. And if you
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: say something crazy about me, you're shaking the wrong treat.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: So now is she marriage material? She may be, but
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: not for you, right And because she's gorgeous, brother, you
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: know how many fine women walking around out here? Boy?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Who Now, I know it's I know it's just a
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: highlight reel, but there's some hellified highlights on these reels. Boy,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: if it's just gorgeous, you won't And I can promise
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: you one of them gorgeous girls really has a nice personality,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: because what you're thinking about is a nice See. She's
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: bubbly and happy to everybody else, but not to you.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Y'all age about a lot of stuff, and she ain't
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: down with you, and bro, I don't see how this
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: could last. Yeah, brout, don't sign up for this because
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: this is bad man, This is bad, bro, This is
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: not This marriage can never survive you, feel me. So
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I'm just saying to you as your uncle, big brother,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: I wouldn't do it. Now, you can stay her girlfriend,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: keep it at a distance because you like her, cause
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: she fine, you know, y'all, stay girlfriend, but don't marry
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: this girl, Pardner. You know, if I was you, I
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: start distancing myself because obviously she likes the advice her
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: friends is giving her. Let her. Let her marry one
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: of her friends. So stay so perfectly all right, Steve.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Thank you. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter at

- 1:07:10Speaker 1: you need to be proud of your boy Lebron James.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I'm talking about he is making moves. This boy just
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: won't stop, do you know? Now Lebron James has become
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: part owner of the Boston Red Sox. This boy still
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: playing his boys, still playing, making moves. He has joined
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: the Fenway Sports Group as a partner, not only giving
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: him ownership in the Red Sox, he also has a
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: steak in subsidiaries that include the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Liverpool Football Club, the Roush Fenway Racing, and the National
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Regional Sports Network which is n E s N. This
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: boy got a network. He got his own network. This
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: boy him. Man, what the two percent of steak in
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: the Boston Red Sox mean? How much money is that? Loo?
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Did you money? Man? Any percentage of that? These franchises
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: are not losing money any percentage. You know, if you
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: get one point of three billion, let's just say it
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: was three billion, it is three billion, huh, it's three billions.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I mean That's why I figured it sucks the worst
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: three billion. That's what I figured, because I, you know,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: I kind of keep up with money stuff like that.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Case case I mess Ryan and get some more. You know,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I'm just so you know, one percent of three billion.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Let me do that. We go ahead, and that makes
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: him the first black owner in baseball. Man, So that's
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: a big movie itself. I would you my friend because
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: he put his friends on my friend, don't do nothing.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I ain't even my friend barbecue business. I can't believe
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: it is. He got a food truck and even letting
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: me in. I can't let it go. Man, we got
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: we gotta give a shout out. Man. Also to Patrick
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Ewan coach. Ewin and his Georgetown Hoys are going back
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: to the NCA Double A tournament. Uh there have been
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: since twenty fifteen. They beat Crichton seventy three to forty eight.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Patrick Ewing climbed the ladder to cut the last string
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: on the net and he held it high. So congratulations
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: to my man Patrick Ewing. Um, that that's big too, man.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: He attributed his win to George Thompson. He did dedicated
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: legende Lebrons cutters worth sixty million just off just onning
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the team. Um, okay, n't know. Yeah, well that's not that.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about that incause I ain't
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: gonna make that. I probably won't get me six hundred
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: on this barbecue stand. Why aren't we talking about bron
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: six hundred millions? How much can we get on these ribs? Boy?
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Come on, all right, thank you, June. You're coming up
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, A Rod and Jlo.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: We'll talk about him right after this. You're listening to show. Well,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Alex Rodriguez launched an apology tour by jetting to the
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Dominican Republic to be with Jennifer Lopez. JLO is there
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: to film a movie. It's called Shotgun. Wedding sources say
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: the couple had a nasty fight on Friday, and rather
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: than go to bed angry, on the advice of relationship
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: experts to pairs, stayed on the phone fighting through the night.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: The next day, they released a joint statement how they
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: were quote working through some things, and an insider revealed
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: that quote the last few days were not good. They've
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: been They've been having some crazy issues. He absolutely supposedly
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: doesn't want to split up with Jalo. Well, supposedly he
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: was texting one of the women on that Bravo TV show,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: the reality show Southern Charm. Yeah, that's yeah, that's one
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: of the rumors that came out. And then you know,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: when they made their joint statement, they said they're working
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: through some things, but it doesn't involve a third party texting. Man,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: you play baseball, a rod, What is you doing? You're
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: not a texting apparently not? Yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: we don't know if this is gonna mean that, you know,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: their engagement is in jeopardy or anything like that. But
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: sources say he is to blame and the romance is
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: hanging on by a thread. No, so he go, he
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: gonna fix this. He wants Yeah, he's been wanting her
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: for all of his life, so you mess it up? Now?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Oh well, two years in, aren't they two years in?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: But no, I don't know if any of this is true.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: But let me ask you this question. Who would text
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: a reality star and think they're not gonna tell it?
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: So yeah, okay, that'd be like calling Nimi Leaks and saying, girl,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I got something to tell you. You're saying that the
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: real when you text those other receipts. Man, what reality star?
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Who wants to be in a relationship with reality star?
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: They're gonna tell it. Their job is to tell it. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: I don't remember her name, but I know she's blond
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and she's on the show, Um Southern Charm. Yeah supposedly. Yeah,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: let's put up Richard. I'll tell you let me. I'm
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: just gonna go out on limb. I've never seen Southern Charm,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: but I promise you ain't nobody on Southern Charm. This
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: band Jay lois. Yeah, and then there are rumors that
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: they want to say together because their kids are best friends.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: But that's not a good reason to see. Whose kids
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: as best friends? A Rod's kids and j Loo's kids. Yeah,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I don't even know Jo had kids. I don't pay
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: no attention to that. I don't. Yeah, Madison Lacroix is
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: her name from Southern Trunk. Yeah, being in the dog house,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: what could he do? People that are in the dog house? Steve,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: you know you the cloth do? Yeah. Well, first of all,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: he's got to completely discredit whatever text they're talking about.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I lost my damn mine. I snapped. That depends on
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: if she hadn't seen the text of what the text said.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Obviously she didn't got hold to the text, So we
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: got to discredit the text. Okay, now how do you
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: do that because it's there, Well, somebody hacked my phone.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: We're gonna start and We're gonna burn that phone. Somebody
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: hacked my phone. I'm immediately getting a new number, and
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna ride the hack story all the way out
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: come on morning. Then I'm gonna hire a computer tech quiz.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: I had a dude do that to me. He hired
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: somebody to formulate the Texas. He wanted me to believe
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: that was really sent. Really. Oh, I've had it done
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: to me. I mean, showed me the text in the
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: order they wanted me to see it, and I actually
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: believe the dude for a minute. Well, we'll have more
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour. We'll be back. You're

- 1:15:12Speaker 1: destructive winds. They're talking about hail and as I mentioned, tornadoes,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: some potentially strong are expected today and tomorrow if you're
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: in the South and southeast, So please be aware, please
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: stay safe, Please be prepared, Please listen to your local
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: affiliates and local officials in that area. We're talking about
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: what Louisiana just you know, please, yeah, the south Alabama, Alabama,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: be very watchful folks, and mindful you look, nobody knows
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: exactly where, exactly what will happen, So you gotta stay watchful,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: keep your eyes on the news, listen for any weather
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: lurch like that. Now there is another side to this.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Anytime that is a hail storm in your area, here's
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: your chance to get out under a car. Note that
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: you may be behind ark it outside your car outside
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Right now? And immediately claim hell

- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer. Here we go, and Steve, try to
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: keep your composure on this one. Okay, it's from little
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Joe in Lake Dallas, tex Right. They already don't like
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: him because it sounded like my homie loud John On.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: You know we already gonnhead with problem. Go ahead, little Josephs.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I'm in my late forties and i'd love to get
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: your advice on dating women that are taller than me.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: My ex wife is five nine and you heard what
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I said, and I'm five seven, but the high difference
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: was never a big deal to her. We got divorced
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and I'm not having much luck dating. I prefer tall women,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: and it's a good thing I have thick skin, because
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: a lot of tall women have laughed in my face
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: and called me shorty. I even tried dating a lady
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: that's five three, and she even said I'm shorter than
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: the guy she typically dating. What's a man to do? Look,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: little man? Look at him? Name what loud Joe? Loule man?
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: You know, be respectful. Well, I'm being reshot little man.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: He called himself loud Joe. At least I'm calling me man.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: I ain't say a little boy. I'm being okay, cool
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: lord Joe. Look at you. The fact that you prefer
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: taller women, that's fine. You have every right to your preference. Now,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: you guys to find taller women that prefer short of men.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Well see, and you know, just based on Tim's response,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: I'm thinking you're gonna have to up yourself esteem. Lord Joe,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: You're gonna have to pull yourself up and just keep
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: your head up and don't let nobody belittle you, you know,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: so to speak, don't lit nobody talk down to you.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: You know, stop people, stop letting people walk over you.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: This is not helping you. Don't not help. Well, we
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: married a tall woman. There's another tall woman out there
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: that don't have them. I'm sure, I'm pretty sure it is. Yeah,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: all right. Ranita and Marietta, Georgia says, I have four
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: girlfriends and we went on a girl's weekend in the
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: North Georgia Mountains last week to do an intervention on
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: a girlfriend that's engaged to a controlling man. We were
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: into an Airbnb and had some wine before we tried
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: talking to her about her man. She was very defensive,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: so we let it go and went to bed. Around
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: two am, her fiance popped up at our place. He
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: said he couldn't sleep without her, so he drove over
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: an hour and a half to pick her up. She
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: thought it was sweet. We told her it was very creepy.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: She's not getting it, so should we stay out of it?
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: That's a mess, what the old people say. I can't
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: get sick and tired for you, Right, that's it. But
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: if you think and this is cute and you fit
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: to marry him, this cute gonna way off after a while,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: because I don't care how much you love a person.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: You need space. Yeah, you need the ability to breathe
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: and do you and be you. And if he's that
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: controlling and that overbearing, and it's gonna get old and
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: then probably got old now. But you're thinking it's cute, Oh,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: he won't be so bad. Okay, all right, coming up next,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: it's our last break of the day, and of course
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: we'll have some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show. All right, guys, here
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: we are last break of the day. Before we get
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: to Steve's closing remarks, we have to say a special
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: thank you to mister Bruno, Mars, mister Anderson pack Uh.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: They were really fun. Yeah. Leave the Door Open as
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: their latest single, please go pick it up. It's a
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: nice song. I really like it. Words are great, yeah,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: really good. Yeah, they were a lot of fun. Can't
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: wait for the album later this year, later this year
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: coming up. And don't forget. If you live in these areas,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: please be mindful of bad weather coming your way. That's
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: what the predictions are. Memphis, Jackson, Mississippi, Birmingham, Montgomery, Monroe, Louisiana, Tupelo, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Shreveport, Hattiesburg, Mobile, Alexandria, Enterprise, Alabama. Uh,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: some parts of Georgia, Atlanta. You guys gotta be and
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: I'm mindful. Yeah, be ready. Thunderstorms, tornadoes, hailstorms, that's what
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: they're talking about. Some potentially really strong too. They're expected
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: today and tomorrow. So please stay safe and prepared, and
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: of course listen to your local officials. It's called hunker down.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: It's time to hunker down, yeah, for real. And it's
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: it's unlike those uh you know, like a hurricane or
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: something like that, when you get a warning, you know,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: those tornadoes they come you don't get Yeah, there no
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: no no warnings. They touch them down. That's it. You
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: gotta listen to your local authorities and when they tell
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: you what to do. You gotta do it, man, and
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: don't take chances, folks. Yeah, it's better to be safe
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: than to be able to post a video. Okay, yeah,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: get yourself to safety. Mess around trying to post, you know,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: so you can be the one video or tornado or
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: you're gonna mess around have followers and they ain't gonna
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: have nobody to follow. Yeah, no, don't do that. Be
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: careful with that. Man. I can't tell you how many
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: posts I watch where people are posted itself and the
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: danger come they went and you see the camera just
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: drop or something. Yeah, mother, nature is nothing. It's nothing
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: to play, you said, mother, And I just knew what
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: was I was. I was waiting on it. Let's get
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: to your I would say that on the air. My
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: heart actually elevated, like nature, everybody to be safe. Okay,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: here we go. You know, I want to share something
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: else with you all on the spiritual level. You know,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I've changed my routine in the morning where I'm starting
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: to go now on YouTube and I listen to motivational
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: messages in the morning. I used to read a certain
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: amount of stuff in the morning, but I just have
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: to change because I just like switching up sometimes because
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: maybe I can learn something a different way, But you
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: know this. What I want everybody to understand is, do
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: you understand that the devil only has one mission and
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: that is simply to rob you of your destiny. It's
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: important that you understand that that a lot of times,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: certain things get throwed your way because he knows who's
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: special for you, and he throws things your way. Now, God,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: don't let nothing get throw at you that you cannot handle.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: We're talking about situations now. I'm not talking about if
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: you choose to do drugs and then you get hooked
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: and you want to continue using them and you don't
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: want no intervention or you got it. I'm not talking
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: about that. I'm talking about circumstances that come your way.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: You have to understand that the devil is trying to
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: stop you from reaching, achieving, and attaining something God has
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: for you. He knows that there's greatness in you. A
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: lot of you listening today have greatness in you, but
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you won't give in to the one thing you need
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: to give into to allow your greatness to exist, and
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: that is your relationship with your creator, whatever you call him, Allah, Jehovah,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Lord and Savior, God Almighty. That's your choice. I'm not
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: making that call. But you have to attune yourself to
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: him and his will because he has a plan for you.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Why do you think you keep waking up in the
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: morning because he has more for you? Why do you
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: think you haven't left this world yet? All that happened
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, all that jumped off, all the people
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: we lost in this country, almost six hundred thousand deaths
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: in the United States alone, and you weren't one of them.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: How because you still have something to be accomplished. God
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: ain't through with you yet. Listen to me, folks, that
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: is a level of greatness in you that you have
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: not yet achieved. Why are you still dreaming of things,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: yearning for things, wanting things, living in anticipation of things,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: hope for things, because it's there for you. Please understand
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: that there is a level of greatness in all of you.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Just stop comparing your greatness to Oprahing what Obama did.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: You ain't gonna be president in the United States. I
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: got that you may not be a billionaire. That ain't
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: your level of greatness. But your level of greatness is yours.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Though I know a lot of great people who ain't rich.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: The majority of my favorite people in this world who
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: were great were never rich. That could be you. So
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: y'all get in tune with God, spend some time talking
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: to him, form this relationship, find out why he created you.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: I'm telling you there's a level of greatness in you.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: You just got to go to God to find out
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: what it is. You know why, because He made you.
