US$70 Million Project to Upgrade Hewanorra International Airport Infrastructure
A French contractor has been identified for a US$70 million infrastructure project at Hewanorra International Airport under the Caribbean Airport Connectivity Project. Planned improvements include runway rehabilitation, upgraded firefighting and emergency response facilities and modern air navigation systems to enhance airport safety and accommodate increased air traffic.
