- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time to y'all don't know y'all have
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit looking like the back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the Millian buck things in it coubles me. True
- 0:20Speaker 1: good it Steve har listening to the movie together for Studley,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me in doing me. Honey. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turning to a you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out, then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your fad uh huh. I
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will A good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, today is simple. I got
- 2:14Speaker 1: it together. I didn't have to. I gave a little
- 2:17Speaker 1: thought this morning. I actually got up in um went
- 2:21Speaker 1: to the gym, and I make time for that too. Man.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That's but that that's that's that's that's kind of what
- 2:28Speaker 1: I want to speak with everybody about today because I
- 2:31Speaker 1: want to remind you and if you haven't heard it,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna share it with you. I want to tell you.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I want to just talk to you about effort today.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Just about effort. You know, it's it's it's it's a
- 2:48Speaker 1: word that people use to describe sometimes trying. But what
- 2:54Speaker 1: I found out about trying is trying is just a
- 2:58Speaker 1: noble way of saying you didn't get it done. I
- 3:02Speaker 1: tried when and then everybody go, well, he tried, that
- 3:06Speaker 1: was the best. Well, that's that's not exactly true, though,
- 3:11Speaker 1: that that's that's not exactly true. You are, and I
- 3:15Speaker 1: want to talk to you about that because I don't
- 3:17Speaker 1: want you to be one of the people who just tried.
- 3:22Speaker 1: See trying, I mean, I gotta tell you to attempt something,
- 3:27Speaker 1: You're gonna have to first try. But I want you
- 3:30Speaker 1: to change your mind set from trying to getting it done. See,
- 3:37Speaker 1: that's a that's a big difference. When you say I'm
- 3:39Speaker 1: gonna get it done and when somebody says to me,
- 3:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna try. Those are two different people I'm talking to.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm really more apt to listen to the person that
- 3:48Speaker 1: says to me, I'm gonna get it done, because trying
- 3:52Speaker 1: to me, I know what that means. Man. And oftentimes
- 3:55Speaker 1: when you've tried, have you ever noticed that you've not
- 3:59Speaker 1: gotten it done? It's because when you go in with
- 4:02Speaker 1: the mindset of trying, I'm gonna try. What try does
- 4:06Speaker 1: is it allows you to fail. Trying allows you to fail,
- 4:11Speaker 1: because if all you're gonna do is try, anybody can try.
- 4:15Speaker 1: It's the person that has the mindset that I'm gonna
- 4:18Speaker 1: get it done is the person who changes the complexion
- 4:23Speaker 1: of things, who changes the outcome of thing, who gets
- 4:27Speaker 1: a different results. I'm gonna get it done. It's very
- 4:31Speaker 1: different than I'm gonna try. You know. Look, man, I
- 4:34Speaker 1: know this sounds a little harsh, but you gotta stop
- 4:38Speaker 1: feeding yourself these little old wise sayings that ain't it
- 4:43Speaker 1: was a valiant tribe. Hey man, you talk to anybody
- 4:47Speaker 1: that took second place in the super Bowl and see
- 4:50Speaker 1: how they feel about their valiant try. The only way
- 4:55Speaker 1: to gain God's real blessings is you have to try something.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Stevie Backpedalin. Now listen to me close. You have to
- 5:09Speaker 1: put forth an effort to allow God to put his
- 5:15Speaker 1: finger on something to bless on your behalf. You must
- 5:21Speaker 1: start to attempt now, insane getting it done, And I'm
- 5:26Speaker 1: gonna try. That's a different of two different faiths to
- 5:29Speaker 1: me that I'm just talking about me. Now. You may
- 5:33Speaker 1: be different, so I can't I can't say this about you,
- 5:36Speaker 1: but I can't say this about me. If I say
- 5:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it done, I have a lot of
- 5:44Speaker 1: faith in it. I am going to get it done
- 5:48Speaker 1: because I just don't see failure as an option. A
- 5:51Speaker 1: lot of times now, if somebody says to me, like
- 5:55Speaker 1: the Olympic team invited me out to curl one day,
- 5:59Speaker 1: which is thirty stones on the ice. If you're not
- 6:02Speaker 1: familiar with it's very simple, and so I said, man,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I'd like to give that a try. I went in
- 6:12Speaker 1: full well knowing I may not come away from this
- 6:15Speaker 1: little curling lesson as a person who could make the
- 6:20Speaker 1: Olympic team. I just wanted to try it because I
- 6:23Speaker 1: thought it looked cool and I always wanted to get
- 6:25Speaker 1: it done well. I failed twice. I threw a stone
- 6:29Speaker 1: completely into the other lane. I lost that little ice shoe,
- 6:33Speaker 1: it shot out under me. But you know what, I
- 6:37Speaker 1: kept trying though. I kept trying until I got four
- 6:42Speaker 1: of them stones in that circle right where I aimed.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But now had I give it up after I failed,
- 6:50Speaker 1: after I threw that stone in the other lane, after
- 6:52Speaker 1: I shot my shoe down all the way to the
- 6:55Speaker 1: bottom side, the little ice shoe they give you, I
- 6:57Speaker 1: never did it, but because I was trying something got
- 7:03Speaker 1: me together a little bit because of my effort, and
- 7:05Speaker 1: it caused me not to fall the next time, not
- 7:08Speaker 1: to throw it into other lane, not to shoot my
- 7:10Speaker 1: shoe to the back of the wall. All of a sudden,
- 7:14Speaker 1: my trying became something. Now had I stayed out there
- 7:18Speaker 1: and it wasn't so cold, and I went back week
- 7:21Speaker 1: after week after week after week. I promise you I
- 7:26Speaker 1: could get it done. I could at least know how
- 7:30Speaker 1: to compete in a game of curling. Might not be
- 7:33Speaker 1: the best. I might not win the championship, but I
- 7:37Speaker 1: could have got it done to the point where I
- 7:39Speaker 1: could have competed in the game of curling. So sometimes
- 7:42Speaker 1: if you're scared to say I'm gonna get it done,
- 7:45Speaker 1: just go out there and get started. You know, learn
- 7:49Speaker 1: from every attempt that you make. See, don't quit writing
- 7:53Speaker 1: yourself off as a failure every time something don't go right.
- 7:56Speaker 1: When I failed on that ice, I could have said, man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I can't curl, but hold up, man, I'm watching for
- 8:01Speaker 1: other women out here, curl, for other dudes out here, curling,
- 8:04Speaker 1: little kids out here, curling. Hold up, Pardner, you know, man.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So I learned when I threw that stone on the
- 8:10Speaker 1: other ice, when I when I fail, when when my
- 8:13Speaker 1: shoe shot off, I learned from every attempt a little
- 8:17Speaker 1: bit more about it. And then I said to myself
- 8:22Speaker 1: one point time, man, I'm gonna get this stone in
- 8:24Speaker 1: that circle. I'm gonna get this stone in this circle.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And guess what I got it done. Now what you're
- 8:33Speaker 1: saying to me, Steve, I'm saying to you that you
- 8:35Speaker 1: gotta get started, that you gotta put forth an effort.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Give God something to bless. Oh God, bless me, Oh God,
- 8:42Speaker 1: bless me. Bless you? What? Bless you? Where? Bless you? How?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Stop basing your results on what you're thinking. You gotta
- 8:51Speaker 1: think higher. You get God in your life, man, He
- 8:54Speaker 1: allows you to think higher, bigger, better more. I'm sitting
- 8:59Speaker 1: up in debt. I came up with a plan to
- 9:01Speaker 1: get out of debt in five years. I came up
- 9:03Speaker 1: with this plan, right. I was sitting up and I
- 9:06Speaker 1: was tripping on it. Now, I said, wait a minute, man,
- 9:08Speaker 1: hold on, And this is what I came up with.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I said, God created heaven and earth, all of it,
- 9:18Speaker 1: the mountains, the sky, the valleys, the oceans, trees, the birds,
- 9:24Speaker 1: all of this. Man, Mount Everest the Gobi Desert, the
- 9:29Speaker 1: Indian Ocean, all of it. Made all of it in
- 9:32Speaker 1: six days, and then he rested on the seventh. So
- 9:38Speaker 1: why am I taking to God the five year plan?
- 9:43Speaker 1: If he can create heaven and Earth in six days,
- 9:47Speaker 1: why am I walking in there talking about helped me
- 9:50Speaker 1: in five years? How is it gonna take God five
- 9:55Speaker 1: years to getting me out of debt? And he made
- 9:58Speaker 1: heaven and Earth in six days? Dude, the math hill man,
- 10:02Speaker 1: I ain't that big. You ain't that big. You ain't
- 10:05Speaker 1: in that much trouble. I ain't in that much trouble. See,
- 10:09Speaker 1: God got a way of showing you some things, man,
- 10:11Speaker 1: but it's gonna take some faith, and faith gonna take
- 10:14Speaker 1: some effort on your part. Man, get out and do something. Man,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you God will bless you a little bit and give
- 10:20Speaker 1: you a little bit more courage. And then all them
- 10:22Speaker 1: attempts you making is gonna and all this so I'll try.
- 10:25Speaker 1: You know what that turn into. I'm gonna get it done.
- 10:28Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, that's what you
- 10:30Speaker 1: have to do. Because trying to pay your rent and
- 10:33Speaker 1: not paying your rent, it's two different things. You can
- 10:37Speaker 1: try to play or pay your rent or you can
- 10:39Speaker 1: get it done. Now, how long you think you're gonna
- 10:41Speaker 1: stay in that house trying. You got to go with
- 10:43Speaker 1: the mindset of getting it done. And if you can
- 10:46Speaker 1: put some stuff out there and give God a chance
- 10:48Speaker 1: to put his finger on it and bless it for
- 10:50Speaker 1: you the most stuff he can do for you. Quit
- 10:52Speaker 1: looking around what everybody else gotten. Gonna get some of
- 10:54Speaker 1: it for yourself. Okay, all right, you're listening to show,
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, undivided attention. Please Steve varbe Morning show

- 11:36Speaker 1: a great day, you know what I know? I gotta
- 11:40Speaker 1: send a special shout out to Jay Anthony Brown though
- 11:43Speaker 1: he's such a trooper to me, trooper, he's such a
- 11:46Speaker 1: trooper sick head. Really, I've never seen anything like that before. Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I mean he's tackling this thing, you know, with some
- 11:56Speaker 1: courage I haven't ever seen before, and I just wanted
- 11:58Speaker 1: to shout him out and send him today. I mean
- 12:00Speaker 1: he's doing uh, I mean man for dude, just dealing

- 12:46Speaker 1: you will get a laugh. Yeahthony Brown called it was
- 12:53Speaker 1: what be that don't sound like a person that's sick

- 13:09Speaker 1: know he's gonna cuss. I just text, but Tommy, he
- 13:12Speaker 1: texts me three times because I wasn't answering him fast.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I said, Wight. Yeah, you gotta love him though, because
- 13:23Speaker 1: he is a fighter Wow, yes, he is, he is,

- 13:43Speaker 1: been through. I'm exalted, but I have the sec Congratulations
- 13:46Speaker 1: to my daughter and her two dance teams. The teams
- 13:49Speaker 1: are called Regiment and Iconic. Out of eleven teams in
- 13:52Speaker 1: both divisions, they won first place. That's what I was
- 13:56Speaker 1: waiting for. Yes, yes, congratulations, championship rings, Miss Hobby and Crew,
- 14:04Speaker 1: but rings rings though, Yes, But you know what, Steve,
- 14:10Speaker 1: she said one thing that reminded me of you. I said, Tasha,
- 14:13Speaker 1: do you get nervous? And she said, you know, I
- 14:14Speaker 1: get nervous by mama and we in the back and
- 14:16Speaker 1: they say, you know, y'all? Next, Yeah, everybody's true most
- 14:27Speaker 1: feared words and entertainment man. All right, coming up with
- 14:33Speaker 1: thirty two after the hour, guys, do you consider not
- 14:36Speaker 1: paying taxes a sport? Well, guess who does our president.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 14:45Speaker 1: the show. The New York Times has obtained Donald Trump's
- 14:50Speaker 1: I R S Tax transcripts from nineteen eighty five through
- 14:53Speaker 1: nineteen ninety four, and reports that he's a big loser
- 14:58Speaker 1: when it comes to business. Okay. According to The Times,
- 15:01Speaker 1: Donald Trump reported losses in nineteen eighty five or forty
- 15:04Speaker 1: six point one million dollars from his main businesses that's casinos, hotels,
- 15:09Speaker 1: and retail spaces, and then continue to lose money each
- 15:13Speaker 1: following year over the decade, to the tune of one
- 15:16Speaker 1: point seventeen billion. In fact, on a yearly basis, it
- 15:21Speaker 1: seems that Trump may have lost more money than almost
- 15:23Speaker 1: any other taxpayer in America. To that end, Trump paid
- 15:29Speaker 1: no federal income taxes for eight of the ten years
- 15:32Speaker 1: because of those losses. So the president of the US
- 15:35Speaker 1: doesn't didn't pay taxes for eight to ten years. Steve,
- 15:38Speaker 1: what about it? Well, I mean, Van Jones was on
- 15:42Speaker 1: my show last week and he told me the exact
- 15:44Speaker 1: same thing. For the story came though. Wow, really yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 1: he said the exact same thing. You're all right, well, taxes,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I know it kind of gets you. Yeah, it choked
- 15:53Speaker 1: me off. Not about you. Well, I thought you mean
- 16:03Speaker 1: y'all said that you're talking about me. But Jones, no,
- 16:10Speaker 1: I mean he said the same thing. I mean, you
- 16:12Speaker 1: know this guy. You know, people don't. People don't understand, man,
- 16:16Speaker 1: And I want you to understand. He really didn't lose
- 16:20Speaker 1: that money. You know, you can write off a loss
- 16:25Speaker 1: and make money too if you slick. And you better
- 16:31Speaker 1: believe he was slick, because how would he live? Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: how would he have lived through losing a billion some
- 16:38Speaker 1: dollars loophole? Oh? Come on, man, So he had to
- 16:43Speaker 1: have some income coming from somewhere because you gotta keep
- 16:47Speaker 1: paying for stuff. Now you need his account, Steve, that's what. No,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I don't need that. I don't know. You don't. Now,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm just gonna do do what I'm posted to. Just
- 16:56Speaker 1: gonna losing my owncle behind no bill, just say Steven,
- 17:03Speaker 1: because I like being free. Okay. Donald Trump is not
- 17:07Speaker 1: in jail. He's the president. Thank you, Donald Trump, My
- 17:10Speaker 1: uncle he black Donald. Hello. Hello, Yeah, I wasn't gonna
- 17:21Speaker 1: let it lay out there right now? You having to
- 17:25Speaker 1: go through that now? Well, the President of tweeted and
- 17:29Speaker 1: admitted he took huge rite offs and bragged and compared
- 17:32Speaker 1: his tax strategy to a sport. Most of us think
- 17:35Speaker 1: of paying taxes as a responsibility. Hello, and not a sport.
- 17:40Speaker 1: What is that. I'm kind of mad at that president,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and I don't know. It's a game. The game to hear.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Everything's a game to him though, and you lose. That's
- 17:55Speaker 1: that's all that to him is that he wins, right,
- 17:59Speaker 1: and is to him is a win lose situation. That's
- 18:03Speaker 1: that's where the sport part comes in. You know, let
- 18:06Speaker 1: me see how much I can get away with this year.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but taxes help pay for things in the
- 18:12Speaker 1: community that people need. Donald Trump don't care about what
- 18:16Speaker 1: you need. We know that, Carlins. Yeah, you don't care
- 18:22Speaker 1: about the fire department. Yeah, we know that. He've been
- 18:29Speaker 1: down to the YMCA. Don't care about nothing. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:34Speaker 1: that's why we pay our taxes for better communities to
- 18:37Speaker 1: give back and think it's a sport. He needs his
- 18:40Speaker 1: money to build things that make money, but to build
- 18:45Speaker 1: enough things to lose money so you can write it
- 18:49Speaker 1: off as a lass. But then say that you go
- 18:53Speaker 1: write it off for years and so the money you're making.
- 18:59Speaker 1: You all said, what you're making with your losses. It's
- 19:02Speaker 1: a game. That's what he means by it being a
- 19:04Speaker 1: sport as sport. Yeah yeah, yeah, I got about that.
- 19:10Speaker 1: And you should you know, because here we are hard
- 19:13Speaker 1: working Americans paying our tax dollars every year every paycheck,
- 19:19Speaker 1: you know, working hard, giving you know, almost half our
- 19:22Speaker 1: money back to the government. And it's a game. To him,
- 19:26Speaker 1: it's sports. But you're our leader. Yeah, so are you
- 19:29Speaker 1: leading by example? He don't give it down. He's not
- 19:33Speaker 1: trying to lead. He just wants trying to win. Thank you.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with leadership. To him, it's
- 19:41Speaker 1: not interested in leading people. He never wanted to lead people.
- 19:45Speaker 1: See listen to me. When you want to lead people,
- 19:49Speaker 1: you first learned to lead by serving. All great leaders
- 19:53Speaker 1: throughout history have been greater servants. Gandhi was a great servant.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Muhammad Ali was a great mean. Yeah, Muhammad Ali was
- 20:01Speaker 1: a great servant of people. Uh. Doct King was a
- 20:06Speaker 1: great servant of people. Barack Obama was a servant of people.
- 20:13Speaker 1: If you look back at Bill Clinton, he did a
- 20:16Speaker 1: lot of service for people. If you just look at it. Man,
- 20:21Speaker 1: Donald Trump has never been in a community. Service of
- 20:23Speaker 1: any kind doesn't matter to him. That's not what he's for.
- 20:29Speaker 1: He's a capitalist. He wants to make money. And there's
- 20:31Speaker 1: nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with that as right,
- 20:37Speaker 1: But the tax part. It's hard, man, it's really hard. Now.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I disagree with the Democrats who want to tax the
- 20:48Speaker 1: rich more. I disagree with that because you just got
- 20:53Speaker 1: to get the people to pay what they're supposed to pay.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That's your problem. Then I pay what they're supposed to pay. Now,
- 20:59Speaker 1: when you come up with the text them more, you
- 21:01Speaker 1: know what the boys gonna do. They're gonna find some
- 21:03Speaker 1: mo loophole and vote Republican. Well, Republicans will tell you
- 21:10Speaker 1: that they actually make more money when Democrats are in office.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I hate to tell you that. Oh really, all right,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I've heard rich boys say that, Wow, well we gotta go.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Steve coming up, more fun with the nephew and run
- 21:24Speaker 1: that prank back that's coming up right after this. Come on,
- 21:30Speaker 1: come on, come on over. You're listening to Steve Morning
- 21:34Speaker 1: Show coming up guys at the top of the hour,
- 21:37Speaker 1: and entertainment news Carlo Carlo, Carlo, Wait till you hear this.
- 21:41Speaker 1: A destroyer A Detroit street will be renamed for the
- 21:46Speaker 1: late temptation David Ruffing. What about Otis anybody coming anybody
- 21:59Speaker 1: right now? Not yet? Okay, all right, that's gonna happen
- 22:03Speaker 1: next month. Also in entertainment news. We'll tell you big
- 22:06Speaker 1: news about the twenty nineteen Steve Harvey sand and so
- 22:10Speaker 1: FASTI vaut baby, but right now the nephew is here
- 22:13Speaker 1: to run that frank back. What you got, nef phine
- 22:17Speaker 1: for a pizza delivery? Now, everybody likes pizza, don't they? Yeah?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Who doesn't? But even people in prison like pizza. Let's

- 32:17Speaker 1: of Detroit Street will be renamed for the late temptation
- 32:21Speaker 1: David Ruffin. It's gonna go down next month. Yes, Tuesday,
- 32:25Speaker 1: the Detroit City Council approved the ceremonial renaming of Parkside Street,
- 32:30Speaker 1: where the voice of such classes classics as Ain't Too
- 32:33Speaker 1: Proud to beg and Oh the classic my Girl lived
- 32:37Speaker 1: in the nineteen seventies and the eighties. David Ruffin Avenue
- 32:41Speaker 1: will be dedicated on June twenty first, joining Stevie Wonder
- 32:45Speaker 1: and Aretha Franklin, who have been similarly honored by the city.
- 32:50Speaker 1: So congratulation. Wow, yeah, very nice. Yeah, I love it.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Uh huh. I thought Steve was gonna start singing when
- 32:57Speaker 1: I said my Girl Now, uh huh. That's not the song.
- 33:07Speaker 1: That's that's the one I sung, the one alland yourself. Yeah,
- 33:21Speaker 1: all right, save time that my birthday. Time for today's headlines.
- 33:25Speaker 1: We're moving on, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Trimp, thank you,
- 33:29Speaker 1: Thank you, guys. This is a trip of the news.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Let's get it going. As expected, the House Judiciary Committee
- 33:34Speaker 1: voted yesterday to hold us Attorney General William Barr in
- 33:37Speaker 1: contempt for refusing to provide the panel with unedited copies
- 33:41Speaker 1: of the Mullet Russian meddling report. The vote was along
- 33:44Speaker 1: party lines, twenty four to sixteen. Committee Chairman Gerald Natalis
- 33:47Speaker 1: said it had to be done, especially in light of
- 33:49Speaker 1: President Trump's last minute use of executive privilege to keep
- 33:53Speaker 1: lawmakers from seeing the blacked out portions of the Special
- 33:56Speaker 1: Council's report. This was a very grave and momentous step
- 34:00Speaker 1: that we were forced to take today to move a
- 34:03Speaker 1: contempt citation against the Attorney General of the United States.
- 34:06Speaker 1: We did not relish doing this, but we have no
- 34:09Speaker 1: choice the Attorney General bar having proved himself to be
- 34:13Speaker 1: the personal attorney to President Trump rather than the Attorney
- 34:17Speaker 1: General of the United States. However, White House spokesperson Sarah
- 34:20Speaker 1: Sanders calls the Judiciary Panel's action a quote blatant abuse
- 34:23Speaker 1: of power. Talks between the US and China mean while
- 34:26Speaker 1: schedules are resumed tomorrow in Washington, Donald Trump has threatened
- 34:29Speaker 1: to raise tariffs on two hundred billion with abee dollars
- 34:33Speaker 1: worth of Chinese imports from ten to twenty five percent
- 34:35Speaker 1: on Friday, The top US trade officials say that intellectual
- 34:39Speaker 1: property theft and forced transfers of technology are two of
- 34:42Speaker 1: the main sticking points. According to a recent poll, many
- 34:46Speaker 1: year young people, most of them actually in the US,
- 34:48Speaker 1: think the country's going in the wrong direction. A studied
- 34:51Speaker 1: by Harvard Universities Institute of Politics exclusively for Time magazine
- 34:55Speaker 1: shows that young voters from both major parties say they're
- 34:58Speaker 1: concerned about the direction of this country is taking morally.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Among young Democrats, sixty six percent feel that way, among
- 35:04Speaker 1: their Republican counterparts at sixty four percent. However, while a
- 35:08Speaker 1: lot of America's young people disapprove of President Trump, many
- 35:12Speaker 1: young Republicans say they're not necessarily anti Trump, but rather
- 35:15Speaker 1: alienated by the political system as a whole. And while
- 35:18Speaker 1: many young voters are moving more and more to the left,
- 35:20Speaker 1: many of the same age group and the GOP are
- 35:22Speaker 1: actually more conservative than their older party members, considering same
- 35:27Speaker 1: sex marriage morally wrong, and saying that immigration has done
- 35:31Speaker 1: more harm to this country than good. Okay, and unfortunately
- 35:35Speaker 1: not surprising news, a new study from the University of
- 35:38Speaker 1: Michigan shows that white drug abusers who addicted to heroin
- 35:41Speaker 1: and fentinhill stuff like that have had almost exclusive access
- 35:44Speaker 1: to a drug that curbs the cravings for the highly
- 35:46Speaker 1: addictive drugs called beauprey norpheme, And according to a survey
- 35:50Speaker 1: of physicians and the prescriptions that they write, white addicts
- 35:53Speaker 1: have been almost thirty five times more likely to be
- 35:56Speaker 1: given that drug than blacks were. Some doctors point out
- 35:59Speaker 1: that back in the two thousand, proponents of the drug
- 36:02Speaker 1: said that bupre norphine was needed to help quote suburban
- 36:05Speaker 1: young people, so bfre norphine was introduced as a quote
- 36:08Speaker 1: private office treatment for private audiences with the means to
- 36:12Speaker 1: pay for it. Finally, today's biological clock day and minus
- 36:16Speaker 1: tick tick ticking. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:20Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. Tyra Banks made a
- 36:25Speaker 1: huge return to modeling to grace the cover of Sports
- 36:29Speaker 1: Illustrated Swimsuit for the third time. You guys see this.
- 36:32Speaker 1: She looks fantastic forty five years old. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 36:37Speaker 1: yeah yeah. She was the first black woman to get

- 37:09Speaker 1: since turned herself into a media mogul. Tyra looks fabulous.

- 37:42Speaker 1: you guys. Guy's right, man, I put a night in. Man, Yeah,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I don't want it to come up at all. Dude,
- 37:55Speaker 1: you gonna put it, no nut, you can just safe
- 37:58Speaker 1: depended under your pain. We're not in man parting kind
- 38:05Speaker 1: of way. Keep this trait from coming up. That's funny,
- 38:09Speaker 1: that's hilarious. The beach is gonna get whateverybody I give it. Okay,
- 38:15Speaker 1: I'm like Tyra, you know, hey, we're good enough we're

- 38:24Speaker 1: looks fantastic. Yeah, she looks great. You can say that now.
- 38:29Speaker 1: I don't let Tyre talk y'all out there. Anybody gonna
- 38:36Speaker 1: be out there posing, y'all careful. Well, she does look great,
- 38:42Speaker 1: and congratulations to all her success. I mean she's done
- 38:45Speaker 1: so much, especially you know what America's next top model.
- 38:49Speaker 1: She went back to Harvard. Tira said, were fabulous. Tyre
- 38:52Speaker 1: ain't seen everybody you stop. He said, you are bringing
- 38:57Speaker 1: fears no matter what anybody says, and that includes you.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey coming up in thirty four after the hour,
- 39:04Speaker 1: sleep veron refit. You ain't got to put on babies.
- 39:09Speaker 1: All right, Steve, you're up next. We're gonna talk about
- 39:11Speaker 1: this sleep versus wealth controversy. You're in hot water again.
- 39:16Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. Man, you're listening
- 39:21Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, here
- 39:25Speaker 1: we go again with you trending in social media. This
- 39:28Speaker 1: has been your week. Okay. You recently on your daytime
- 39:32Speaker 1: talk show you talked about sleep versus wealth. This clip
- 39:37Speaker 1: is trending. Let's take a listen to this rich people
- 39:41Speaker 1: don't sleep eight hours a day. That's a third of
- 39:44Speaker 1: your life. It ain't twenty four hours in a day.
- 39:46Speaker 1: You cannot be sleep eight hours a day. You can't
- 39:49Speaker 1: live in la and wake up at eight o'clock in
- 39:51Speaker 1: the morning. It's eleven o'clock on the east coast. The
- 39:54Speaker 1: stock mark had been opened two hours. They're already making
- 39:57Speaker 1: decisions about your life. And your ass was sleep. The
- 40:00Speaker 1: Bible says, he who loves to sleep, and the folding
- 40:03Speaker 1: of hands, poverty was set upon you like a thief
- 40:06Speaker 1: in the night. Who is he mad? Though? What is
- 40:10Speaker 1: he angry? Because he kind of get it through people. Yes,
- 40:12Speaker 1: because sometimes you have to show passion Tommy, Okay, sometimes
- 40:16Speaker 1: that's what it takes to wake people up. Sometimes. Okay,
- 40:22Speaker 1: hold on, But why are they mad at that? Though?
- 40:24Speaker 1: But I guess because of your tone, you sound a
- 40:27Speaker 1: bit of aggressive to people, you know, I think that's
- 40:29Speaker 1: what saying. And let me say something to y'all. I'm
- 40:33Speaker 1: not apologizing for being passionate, and you don't. And I'm
- 40:38Speaker 1: not apologizing for being passionate. I'm not apologizing for trying
- 40:43Speaker 1: to help people understand what it really takes. I'm not
- 40:47Speaker 1: apologized for that. I don't I don't even understand that
- 40:49Speaker 1: and that no more, I don't even care really man,
- 40:52Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. I'll
- 40:54Speaker 1: tell you what go to sleep? That it's it's a
- 41:01Speaker 1: scripture that says that, yeah, that if you love to
- 41:05Speaker 1: sleep and the folding of hands, poverty was set upon
- 41:08Speaker 1: you like a thief in the night. That's a scripture.
- 41:10Speaker 1: What you man is, Steve, because because I said it
- 41:13Speaker 1: loud to you, yeah, yeah, oh you ain't want to
- 41:15Speaker 1: hear it that day. It's not a man, amen, Amen,
- 41:19Speaker 1: What do you want me to be some little weak
- 41:21Speaker 1: punk ass dude, because I'm not. I'm not. I'm grown
- 41:25Speaker 1: ass man, hot ass pooty comes. That's what I said
- 41:29Speaker 1: when nobody man about that. But I's got to be
- 41:31Speaker 1: so hot down man. I'm telling you right now that
- 41:36Speaker 1: I will not apologize for because that was me trying
- 41:40Speaker 1: to get it through people's head exactly. Let's hear it again. No,
- 41:44Speaker 1: I ain't got hit people. Let's hear it again. Many
- 41:47Speaker 1: people understand it. People don't sleep eight hours a day.
- 41:52Speaker 1: That's a third of your life. It ain't twenty four
- 41:54Speaker 1: hours in a day. You cannot be sleep eight hours
- 41:57Speaker 1: a day. You can't live in that la and wake
- 41:59Speaker 1: up at eight o'clock in the morning. It's eleven o'clock
- 42:02Speaker 1: on the east coast. The stock mark had been open
- 42:04Speaker 1: two hours. They're already making decisions about your life. And
- 42:07Speaker 1: your ass was sleep. The Bible says he who loves
- 42:10Speaker 1: to sleep, and the folding of hands, poverty was set
- 42:13Speaker 1: upon you like a thief in the night. Now let
- 42:16Speaker 1: me hear you say that slowly, with less aggression. I'm
- 42:22Speaker 1: good with it, because you know when you were being raised,
- 42:29Speaker 1: when you were kids, and your parents talk to you
- 42:31Speaker 1: a by not being lazy girl, and that's all you're saying. Yeah,
- 42:36Speaker 1: and you quoted the biby. I mean, come on, you
- 42:38Speaker 1: quoted the Bible. We all were raised like that. We
- 42:41Speaker 1: couldn't sleep all day in our parents' house. We couldn't
- 42:45Speaker 1: do that that. We just could not do that. Get
- 42:49Speaker 1: up and do something with your life. Yeah, I don't care, Yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 1: but just get up. You come in the hours you're
- 42:56Speaker 1: supposed to sleep. Can I sleep on sad? I mean, damn,
- 43:02Speaker 1: where can I get some risk though? I'm just I
- 43:05Speaker 1: just want to know. Can I snore any point in
- 43:08Speaker 1: my life? I'm a hustler all day, but when can
- 43:12Speaker 1: I guess some rest though? Tell me how much I
- 43:19Speaker 1: oh kiss my behind? Ain't nothing wrong with me doing
- 43:21Speaker 1: text if you're straight hustler, So you have really lost focus.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I'm a hustler and I'm all over this country hustling,
- 43:29Speaker 1: so you can miss me with that, Julie, You're wrong, Tommy.
- 43:32Speaker 1: He said if you were sleeping, you wouldn't be in
- 43:35Speaker 1: text down. He was giving your ignorant answer compliment. Yes,
- 43:42Speaker 1: what is you hollying? Fun? If you would just stay
- 43:47Speaker 1: a little more calm, that's passed. You need to calm down.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Why is you holly? Why don't you gonna get yourself
- 43:54Speaker 1: some mo Damn risks people ignorant? You got probably out
- 44:00Speaker 1: of him, Junior. I ain't pobbizzing, No, damn body. We're
- 44:03Speaker 1: listening to me. Yeah, I just podgized not to give
- 44:06Speaker 1: him another compliment. I'm next. I'm next. The crazy one
- 44:13Speaker 1: is up with a prank phone call right after this.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Whoo you're listening stry morning show coming up at the
- 44:21Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. I
- 44:23Speaker 1: got a good strawberry letter for you today, guys, hang
- 44:26Speaker 1: on to that for that. But right now the nephew
- 44:29Speaker 1: is here with today's prank phone call. What you got net,

- 45:11Speaker 1: mean you're not accepting no clients. That's the part I'm
- 45:13Speaker 1: not trying to understand, because my ain't feelers. You know,
- 45:15Speaker 1: she didn't call up there like two times. From what
- 45:18Speaker 1: she's telling me about she can't get in there, uh
- 45:20Speaker 1: de allounge, that she can't get in there and get
- 45:22Speaker 1: her hair done, because every time she called, they saying

- 45:28Speaker 1: her an appointment. Sir, I am the only salast at
- 45:31Speaker 1: the dev Allounge, and right now I am not accepting
- 45:34Speaker 1: to anyw clients. I am so sorry for your aunt,

- 45:55Speaker 1: You just cursed me out for north parent reason. I can't.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I can live that because basically, what I'm trying to
- 46:01Speaker 1: say is I don't understand how it is you can't
- 46:04Speaker 1: get my any hair done. She trying to get her.
- 46:05Speaker 1: We've done so she can be right for church. So
- 46:07Speaker 1: I don't understand the problem. But the problem is you're
- 46:11Speaker 1: attacking me. You're gonna call me talking about your damn
- 46:15Speaker 1: what's the damned a partner, but you're cursing me out.
- 46:18Speaker 1: You don't get an a partner with me talking to

- 46:25Speaker 1: me talk because you just cursed me out. Now he's
- 46:28Speaker 1: gonna hear what I have to say. So I'm not
- 46:30Speaker 1: accepting any new clients at this time. Now, she could
- 46:34Speaker 1: have called, but right now I'm not. I'm just not
- 46:37Speaker 1: accepting any clients. I apologize because there's nothing else I
- 46:40Speaker 1: can do. I work because you know what, I already

- 54:07Speaker 1: Married Letter, all right, subject I want to call it
- 54:11Speaker 1: quits after twenty one years of dating. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:15Speaker 1: My life could not be more complicated. I'm a thirty
- 54:18Speaker 1: six year old woman and I've been dating the same
- 54:21Speaker 1: man for twenty one years. Yes, that's right. He's my
- 54:25Speaker 1: boyfriend and we've been together off and on since middle school.
- 54:30Speaker 1: He was my first love and my first sexual encounter.
- 54:33Speaker 1: We have three teenage children, and we have been through
- 54:36Speaker 1: all of the ups and downs that married couples have,
- 54:39Speaker 1: but we've never been married. He has never wanted to
- 54:42Speaker 1: get married. I wanted to marry him when we were
- 54:45Speaker 1: in our twenties, but change my mind because he was
- 54:47Speaker 1: not treating me like a queen and making me feel
- 54:50Speaker 1: like I was the prettiest woman in the world. I
- 54:53Speaker 1: was thinking because he never had to commit to me
- 54:56Speaker 1: in marriage, that he started taking me for granted. For
- 54:59Speaker 1: many years now, he has not paid any attention to me.
- 55:02Speaker 1: When he's home, he loves his video games. We rarely
- 55:06Speaker 1: go out to dinner, and we've never been on vacation.
- 55:09Speaker 1: After twenty one years, I'm done with trying to make
- 55:13Speaker 1: this relationship work. It's like I'm roommates with my best
- 55:17Speaker 1: friend that I grew up with I want to call
- 55:20Speaker 1: it quits, but I don't know how it should be easy?
- 55:23Speaker 1: Right since I don't have to divorce him, how do
- 55:25Speaker 1: I end things with my best friend, lover and father
- 55:29Speaker 1: of my children? Help? All right? Something that you said
- 55:35Speaker 1: in the letter about he doesn't treat you like a queen, Well,
- 55:37Speaker 1: I say, if you really believe you're a queen, then
- 55:40Speaker 1: act like it. I mean, do what queens do. Put
- 55:43Speaker 1: yourself first and stop allowing him to treat you that way,
- 55:46Speaker 1: just any old kind of way. You know why you
- 55:49Speaker 1: have to put up with his foolishness. I have no
- 55:51Speaker 1: idea for twenty one years, and yes, he's taking you
- 55:54Speaker 1: for granted because you let him. If he doesn't want
- 55:57Speaker 1: to marry, you leave him if you want to get married.
- 56:01Speaker 1: You know, why are you wasting your life with him?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Twenty one years of your life? I understand you know
- 56:07Speaker 1: that he may have a special place in your heart
- 56:10Speaker 1: because he was your first and you know he was
- 56:12Speaker 1: your first love and everything. He's the father of your
- 56:14Speaker 1: teenage children. But it's time to, you know, just start
- 56:18Speaker 1: using your head in this situation. Keep your heart out
- 56:21Speaker 1: of it for a moment in this relationship, because it's
- 56:23Speaker 1: going to continually get broken. So I just say stay woke.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You know, you have to know that it's okay to
- 56:30Speaker 1: feel how you feel and be fed up and one out.
- 56:33Speaker 1: It is okay. You can walk away. I don't know
- 56:36Speaker 1: what your living arrangement is or anything like that, but
- 56:39Speaker 1: either you can pack your bags and get out, or
- 56:41Speaker 1: you can pack his bags and tell him to get out.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Now's the time. After twenty one years, Steve, Well, this
- 56:50Speaker 1: is a crazy letter man, Yeah, because it has a
- 56:53Speaker 1: couple of problem points in it, more than a couple.
- 56:57Speaker 1: I want to call it quits after twenty one years
- 56:59Speaker 1: of eight that that's an alarming number of years for dating.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I want to call it quits after twenty one years
- 57:11Speaker 1: of dating. Wow, twenty one years. You ain't got a ring,
- 57:17Speaker 1: a proposal, a promise ring, nothing, You just dating. But
- 57:25Speaker 1: things is happening in this relationship that goes a little
- 57:28Speaker 1: bit past date. I'm thirty six years old, which means
- 57:34Speaker 1: you've been with this man what I love since you
- 57:38Speaker 1: were fifteen. Okay, Uh, that's right, and he's my boyfriend.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You're not supposed to be anybody's boyfriend after college, that's ladies,
- 57:53Speaker 1: you're not supposed to be somebody's girlfriend. After college. After college,
- 57:59Speaker 1: this stuff has to start meaning stuff. Get all that
- 58:02Speaker 1: way with stuff out your system in college. After college,
- 58:05Speaker 1: it aught has started meaning something to you. Uh, he
- 58:10Speaker 1: was my first love and my first sexual enclowner. Well
- 58:13Speaker 1: that's good. You were fifteen. That's good. I'm not saying
- 58:17Speaker 1: it happened at fifteen, but right at least that's good.
- 58:21Speaker 1: We have three teenage children, so you're having babies while
- 58:25Speaker 1: you just dating. And you've demanded nothing, as you've given
- 58:31Speaker 1: this man three children. You've demanded nothing, and you've been
- 58:37Speaker 1: through all the ups and downs that married couples go through,
- 58:40Speaker 1: like what what like? Threaten threatening to divorce, threatening to
- 58:46Speaker 1: never see your children again, threatening to take everything you own,
- 58:52Speaker 1: threatening to take half of his income due to child support.
- 58:56Speaker 1: No you haven't, No you haven't. That's what happens with
- 59:01Speaker 1: married people discuss leaving. Your discussion of leaving, like Shirley said,
- 59:06Speaker 1: requires nothing unless you're in the state of California. Then
- 59:12Speaker 1: you got problems now. But we've never been married. He
- 59:18Speaker 1: here's the line. He has never wanted to get married. Well,
- 59:24Speaker 1: ain't he been doing what he want to do? He
- 59:28Speaker 1: never wanted to get married, and guess what he ain't
- 59:35Speaker 1: ta where the hell is to surprise at this man
- 59:40Speaker 1: ain't ever wanted to get married, and guess what he
- 59:43Speaker 1: ain't married. I wanted to marry him when we were
- 59:46Speaker 1: in our twenties and change my mind because he wasn't
- 59:49Speaker 1: treating me like a queen. Listen to me, He still
- 59:54Speaker 1: don't treat you like a queen, nor will he ever
- 59:58Speaker 1: treat you like a queen. You have gotten what this
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: man at the best, what was gonna give you three babies?
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: And it took you twenty one years to get that.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: He has not treated you like a queen. He will
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: never treat you like a queen because he don't do
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: nothing he don't want to do. He didn't want to

- 1:00:40Speaker 1: because you ain't married, like Shirley say, you can jam
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: walk off and he would have to pay for them kids.

- 1:02:05Speaker 1: All right, Steve, come on, let's get to part two
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: of your response to today's Strawberry letter. Twenty one year
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: twenty one year relationship of dating with this man has
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: produced nothing but hardship for this woman and three beautiful children.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: So that's what you got out of the deal. They
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: beautiful kids. They're gonna grow up to become something absolutely wonderful,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: almost willing to bet. But as for you, what you've
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: gotten from it has been what he said he wasn't
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: gonna do. He said he never wanted to be married,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and guess what, he ain't married. And this little you're
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: talking about, you've been together twenty one years. Since they've
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: been together, off and owned since middle school? The hell
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: do that mean? I keep telling y'all, men don't do off.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: You always say that men don't do off. We own somewhere.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: If we offer you, we own to huh wow. If
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: we offer you, we own to huh immediately. Period. That's
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: how men are built. Does that make us wrong? No,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I'm just telling you that's how we built. We don't
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: need no time to ourselves go up in the mountains
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: and find ourselves. No, we go over to her house
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: and find ourselves that evening. Okay, so now you wanted
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: to marry him when you in your twenties, but I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: changed my mind because he was not treating me like
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: a queen. And I'm telling you he still ain't treating
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: you like a queen. And I got some more news
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: for you. He will never ever treat you like a
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: queen because you are not his queen. He's not your king.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: So why would he treat you like that? And why
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: would you keep expecting to be treated like a queen
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: when he has never performed or acted like a king.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: He can't be a little monkey jack. He can't be
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: the jack jack on your side show he uh everybody else?
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, there's a queen bowed down. But they
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: can't come do nothing for you because they ain't the king. Now,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: she said, I was thinking because he never had committed
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: to me in marriage, that he started taking me for granted. No,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: listen to me again, you said he never after he
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: said the queen lyne and making me feel like I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: was the prettiest woman in the world. I was thinking
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: because he had never committed to me in marriage, that
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: he started to take me for granted. No, you reverse that.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: He's taking you for granted because he ain't got to
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: commit to you in marriage. I'll just flip it. That's all.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: That is why we got to commit to you. We're
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: gonna take you for granted here. We ain't married to you.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: You can't make us do nothing. We're not married. And
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: you keep saying your life couldn't be could not be
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: more complicated. It would be a lot more complicated if
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: you was married. For many years now, he has not
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: paid any attention to me. That's because you're not his queen.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Let me go in the house and not pay attention
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: to the queen of that house, and see how long
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I'll be sitting up at till about I'm the damn king.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: For many years now, he has not paying attention to me.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: When he's home. He loves his video game and that's
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: what he pay attention to. All you gotta do to
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: know where you're staying with him? Man, what do he
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: pay attention to if he don't pay attention to you? What? What?
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: But you say he loves his video game? Sitting of
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: that stared at that screen though ain't it because that's
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: what he loved. We rarely go out to dinner for what,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: ain't you eating? Nothing? House? And we've never been on
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: vacation after twenty one years, and you're not going anywhere.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Listen to this right here, y'all ain't been nowhere because
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: he has no plans of this going anywhere. Oh godly,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: listen to me, ladies. When a man don't care you
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: know where, it's because he don't see this going no where?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Do you. I'm teaching you how men are hurts me.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: If I'm carrying you know where, it's because he don't
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: see this going nowhere. Bam, news flash, print it, put
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: it on Twitter. Yeah, it's like I'm roommates with my
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: best friend that I grew up with. That's a great
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: analogy because that's exactly what you are. I want to
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: call it quits. Okay, now we're okay. Now we're getting
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: down to it. But I don't know how well won't
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: you just do what he's been doing nothing? Because he
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: paid your attention in years, he's been off and on.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: He don't want to get married. So now all you
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: gotta do is take everything he's done and just do
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: it to him, Stop paying him attention, stop wanting to
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: go out to dinner with him, Free yourself from the loser,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: and I bet you a winner come long and want
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: to take you out to eat and probably take you somewhere.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: You ain't even been on a vacation, your grown ass
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: woman ain't never been on vacation one years twenty thirty
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: six years old. You ain't never seen where y'all live,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: North Carolina. You ain't been the South carelin, your ass
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: ain't been the South Carolina. The damn damn you live in.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: You live in, You live in Florida. Ain't been to
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the beach. Yeah, we'll just drive over that man. Well,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: he don't take me. No. Uh, I don't know how
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: it should be easy, right since I don't have to
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: divorce him? How do I end things with my best friend,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: lover and father of my children. Let's just go over
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: these three things that you're claiming. Is he's your best friend,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: he treats you like your best friend, or you claiming
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: him as your best friend. You need some new friends
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: because you don't know what best friends do. Best friends
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: care about each other. He's your lover, he ain't paid
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: attention to you in years. So even if y'all do
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: get to love him, ain't it all just about him? Hello?
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: And he's your father, your children, which he will always be.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Eat that ain't gonna change now. You make him continue
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: to be the father that's for damn show. But the
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: best friend and lover he out. That's my response, Strawberry,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: let him kiss him? Why we gotta get out of here?
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Email us us your thoughts go to uh my girls Shirley. Okay,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: coming up in ten minutes from the talk it is
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: our girls, Cheryl Underwood. Right after this listening, coming up
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Carla's Reality Update. But
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: right now from the time, come on, Steve, my girl
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: introduced her. Sure, Steve Harvey, listen to me, Oh, I
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: ain't never heard all that, the whistling, the clapping, and
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: listen to me. Okay, I got let's get into this
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: politics death for a minute. So did anybody get that
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: income tax free fun back? Why you ask, sir? Because
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: mine is shorter than it's supposed to be. Listen to me,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: everybody telling me about this great economy and everything Trump doing.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: He ain't the businessman y'all think it is? How the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: hell you lose a billion dollars. You got to be
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the dumbest. Okay, I'm sorry to lose a billion dollar.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Warm buffet was like hold up cluse a bill billion?
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: And then way he lost a billion dollars. Ain't pay
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: tax an eight year. Somebody needs to go to jail.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Listen to me. They need to stop playing democrats and listen.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Y'all can subpoena everybody. You won't. They need to be
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: an up and down vote on the impeachment. We ain't
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: never had a president this damn flagrant. Then the fat
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: dude wasn't nic bar he up damn looking all crazy
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: time I contempted what then the sun his little raggedy son.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: This is my opinion. Don't call in the steel. I
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: want to show his son Tim. I'm gonna plead the film.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I thought you saying only rats flee the film. So
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Donald Trumper, you say your son is a rat. See
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I get all the stuff, Julius, I get all the
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I'm a Republican. I be in the meeting. I don't
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: just be in the back eating savages and Cole Slough.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'll be listening to stuff. Okay,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: because they do have. They have a good food Shirley services.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Listen to me, white we will have at the Republican meeting.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: They have cold cuts. They have cold cuts, Tommy. They
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: have josephlle bros Steve. They have three beans salad. They
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: have three beans. Salad is good for you. They have
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: a jello mold with fruit chunks in it. If you
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: would like to hear more of these hilarious shenaticus, come
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: to the heart for funny bones. Is it a funny
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: bone or is an improv? What is it in connecticuts?
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: What is it? I'm being Connecticut. I'm being heart for Connecticut.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: What is it? Y'all? Look at up, looking up? Okay,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: but it's a comedy club and heart for I'm gonna
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: be there. It's either funny bone or improv. But back
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: to the white people Republican money. It's funny. Thank you
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: shunning scribberries and for that I owe you a good
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: third of dollars. I'm that thank youths. That's right. Oh,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: listen to me, child, and you gotta the good beans.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: But they'll be making it cold. I'm gonna cook my beans.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: They have coln bread with it. Little child, child, a
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: little pepper call it. Yes, I'm still black State won brothers.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: But this is the problem. The politics is getting real
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: and thorough. Joe Biden is overhead eating tacos with Garsetti
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: and they're making plans in Los Angeles. Listen, this is
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: the dude, This is the only dude that can win.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: White man the white man. Let him take their little
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: shirts off and fight each other. You know, Joe Biden
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: still got that smoke son problem in about Okay, did
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I go too far problem? I'm sorry? What let him
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: drink bud wise in and fight each other? What is
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the problem? We just got subedinity with the fight. So
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: what listen, we need a new president right now, and
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: it can't be Pence. It can't be Pence. Not y'all
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: don't want Pence as the president, do you? Y'all don't
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: want Pence? No, no, no, no, so and we don't
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: want Trump's no more. And we can't wait till the election.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Everybody talking about don't impeach, wait till the election. We
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: got that level. He running country to hell in the handbasket.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I ain't never asked for why you don't just do
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: what Nixon did Trump and resign and then throw up
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the peace side on the helicopter. Am I going too far?
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Am I going too far? He just needed to be
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: out there. You need to be careful because anytime you
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: say something, try to help somebody lively get it. Steve
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: listening to very careful just because you ask people to
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: get up out the bed and get a job. Now
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: you everything but a child of guy, and you used
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: a good scripture on proverbs. You let him. He went
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: to the word the Old Testament where we've been delivered
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: from Trela all time at all Steve said was get
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: your ass out of Connel. Say what what? How to
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: ask Pouda Connor not not pot to Connor, poony Connor.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: He will be yes. I thought he had found out
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: my stripper name from the coper box, from the wood,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: from the comer box. That used to be well, really
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I was a lingerie model at Afftation. Yeah, well now
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: I want to taste kid, and I was really at
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: the high shaper round. Well, you know, back in the day.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Let me tell you a little stir. Back in the day.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: You know, when you're trying to make money, you used
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: to model the lingerie and you had to take it off, right,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: But I was horrible at it. You know, remember when
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: you used to watch Sanford and Sun, and remember they
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: had a slapping White was on. Now you know I
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: looked more like slapping across between slapping right and high
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: five White and Penitential lingerie and listen to me, you
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: better come on till me, come on time. You know,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Penitential is our favorite movie. To to be content. That's right,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: that's right, that's right, that's right. Listen to me. But
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: the morning this story is. The morning this story is.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: We need everybody to fill out their census forms when
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the census come out of twenty twenty. We need you
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: to not just register the vote, but we need you
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: to go to the polls. I don't know if we
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: got along the way in this country that have the
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: president acting like a dictator and doing everything that no
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: other president could ever get away with. The Republicans need
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: to get a spine and they need to stand after
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: this dude. And the Democrats need to go on and
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: do what they gotta do. We got them if they
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: do the right thing, am I. That's missus Spike Lee
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: man him WoT today? Steve Harvest out of bed and
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: you'll be a millionaire, get out of bed and you'll
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: be suc I don't know how the way to put
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: it to people. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being passionate,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: but I'm not. Do you and the people updad as
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: mad because they sleep. I'm just stay sleep. Yeah, all right?
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Carla's Reality
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Update right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:16:25Speaker 1: reality update would call a ferrel. Okay, thank you. I
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: did it different that time. Yes you did. You said
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: buckle up too, just like the strawberry a lot of
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: We're gonna buckle up for a reality update. I love it.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I love it. All right, guys, here we go. First

- 1:17:06Speaker 1: eleven teams combined, they won first place both teams. So
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: shout out to Team Regiment, Team Iconic, fantastic job. And
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: this is this is why I'm bringing this up because
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I know they're dance mom and dance reality shows. But
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: a lot of parents that are listening, Tommy, you're you're
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: involved with this too, parents that are parents of student athletes.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: You know you got your football players, au volleyball, track, baseball, dance, cheers, soccer,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: all of this. This is how you just every weekend
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: you're on the role, you're dealing with it. I want
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: you guys to hit me up social media at lip Spark, Carla,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: let me know what you're dealing with, what you're going through.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Shout out your child's sport and we could talk about
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: parenting student athletes, because child, I'm exhausted. All right, that's that.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Moving on, let me switch gears right now and talk
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: about love and hip hop Atlanta. What has happen girl? Okay? So,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Rashida and Kirk they planned this couple's retreat. They went
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: to a cabin, they invited their friends, some of the
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: cast mates on the show. Child Rashida admitted to cheating
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: on Kirk back in the day. What well, what what
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: back in the day. We didn't get a name, Junior,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: because you know last season, you know Kirk, you know
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: he cheated on Rashida and had a baby and all that. Remember,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: we kept talking about that. So she admitted that she
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: cheated on him early in their relationship. But they had
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: forgiven each other. I don't know, Junior, but they had
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: forgiven each other. They said there in a good place
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: in their marriage and they wanted to you know, help
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: their friends to grow in their relationship and talk about
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: forgiveness and all of that. So anyway, you know my
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: favorite girl, you know, I love me some young Jock Shirley.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah. So anyway, his ex Carly, she was invited
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: to come to the cabin to go on the trip,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: and you know she was invited with her fiance, but
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: she broke off that engagement last week. I already told you. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: So anyway, Carly was there. Now you know, Tommy, Carly
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: used to you know, date young Jock, but young Jock
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: is there with his current girlfriend. So Carly took it
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: upon herself to let his current girlfriend know. Yes, very messy,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: but she wanted to let Kendre know that her man
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Young Jock has been unfaithful and uh listen when Young
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Jock's girlfriend Kendrew confronted Jock about it, I love Jock. Listen,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: look right, she is lying. It's all false, it's lies.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I'll put this on my moment. I'll put this on
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: my kids, and I put this on your father, Rest
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: his soul. Your name been tattooed on my ginger tool
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: for over a year. Name shin't say what. I wanted
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to go board to show my lady. This was hose.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I tattooed Ken dru on my carl If you saw
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: my you just saw it, said Kendra, right down the
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: side of it. You know what I'm saying. Done, But
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I apologize that you were even placed in that situation
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: me and Carly. That was old news. Have you been
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: true to me, Ken, I have been true. I've been
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: honest with you. Baby. You know you know how you know,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: you know the happy you bring me. I know. I'm
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: just letting you know. I don't playing with playing with you.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: I just don't want no problem with right now. Go ahead, boy,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: go ahead, boy, I submit you crazy. That is one
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: of the funniest clips I've every man. That's great. I
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: love young man. No, no, if you would have saw it,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: can you do that? Hey? Oh no, we can't do that.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Time did that? I ain't guaranteed even but it's sad. Yeah,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: but so you But listen, guys, you know you have
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to just really salute Jock. He's really trying to make
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: this relationship with Kendrill work. And Kendrall's a boss, she's
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: a lawyer, she's a professional. So she's not having it.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: She's not playing games with him. She wants to know.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: She loves the sky, seems like and um, she wants
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: their relationship to work. And like you said, Shirley, Carly
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: was messy. She didn't even have to say any of that.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: She didn't have to go there. She didn't have to
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: say that. And even everyone on the cabin on the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: relationships with with you know, they were with their significant other.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: They even some of the women called her out and said, Carly,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: you know what that was foul. You're kind of foul
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: with what you were doing. Yeah, but what you were
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: doing and what you were saying so we would get
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: to see anywhere this is carl Away, What do you
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: want to go to pund I don't know and what importantly,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: who put kids? That's what I need to know. It
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: is a small letters of big letters curse yeah, lowercase
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: you know this h So anyway, so that is you
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: know what makes sure you hit me up at lips
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: my Carl. I gotta tell you guys, because everyone loves
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: to talk about this stuff on social media, So hit
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: me up and don't forget. Finally, we are loving shout

- 1:23:45Speaker 1: to take us to do this right. We'll be back
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Can we all say out, hain't even cheat because if
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: she see it, who is kid? Yeah, you're listening to.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Golden State Warriors basketball star Steph Curry's wifei Isha Curry,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: was on red Table talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, and
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: i Isha shared her insecurity if her not receiving any
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: male attention. According to The Shade Room, Iisha spoke to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Jada about how they deal with their husband's groupies and
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: all the attention their husbands get their husbands get from women.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Aisha said it bothers her when she sees other women
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: gushing over her man, but that men don't do the
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: same to her. Take a listen to This really bothers me,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: and like, honestly has given me a sense of a
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: little bit of an insecurity is the fact that yeah,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: like there are all these women like throwing themselves, but me,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: like the past ten years, I don't have any of that,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: Like I have zero. This sounds weird but like male
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: attention and so then like I begin to internalize it,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: and I'm like, i's something wrong with you. But I'm
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: gonna tell you something else too, when your radars turned off,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: because I dealt with that for years too, like and
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: I was young, like you yeah, like oh my god, yeah,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: I mean because I don't want it, but it'd be
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: nice to know that, like someone's looking right. You ever
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: think for one minute that it ain't know some men
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: out there looking at you like I wish. And I'm
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: gonna tell you who knows that more than anybody? And
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: so true. Her husband knows that more than anyone. He
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: knows what he has. He knows that's why he tried
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: so hard to get you. But you know what, I'm
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: loving her more and more every time she speaks out.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I love the thing she says because she's so real,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: she's so transparent how she feels about about certain things.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Like she said that she and her husband, she and
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Steph put their relationship first. Remember, they got some trouble
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: for that. They got clapped back for that because she
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: said their relationship is the most important one because if
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: their relationship doesn't work, then they they're not good for
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: the kids. They're not good for all of that. So,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: you know, people criticized her for saying that she's just
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: an open book. I like her transparency. I like who
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: she is inside. She's a good person and she's a
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: very real person and a real woman too. And her
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: mother in law was on the show as well, so
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: when they were talking, because you know, her father in law,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: Aisha Curry's father in law was a professional ball player too,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: her mother in law, they were both talking about what
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: they went through as being married to you know, of
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: course Ayisha and her mother in law still married, but
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: being married to these professional athletes and the group or
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: the group and the boppers and you know, all that
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: that they have to deal with. Doc Rivers is his
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: daughter is with uh yes, Seth Curry. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: so this there's one big basketball family. Yeah, it's all good.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: But I mean, for her and women you know like her,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: don't let that shake your confidence at all, because you're
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: still who you are. And sometimes I understand you get
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: lost in the sauce a little bit, but you know,
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: you know, you just got to be reminded. Look in
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: that mirror every day. Yes, he got me. Yeah, I'm all.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: You know, I am a woman. Hear me, roar all
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: of that. Say whatever you need to say to get
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: your confidence back up, because girl, you got it. You're strong.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: People love you, women love and respect you, and and
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: men too, and men think you're beautiful and you are beautiful.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: Don't ever doubt yourself, you know. Yep, yep, A woman
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: needed to hear that. Yeah, absolutely, all right, more of
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.

- 1:30:51Speaker 1: voice of such classes classics as Ain't Too Proud to

- 1:30:58Speaker 1: nineteen seventies and the eighties. David Ruffin Avenue will be
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: dedicated on June twenty first, joining Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: who have been similarly honored by the city. So congratulation. Wow, yeah,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: very nice. Yeah, I love it. Uh huh. I thought
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Steve was gonna start singing when I said, my girl, No,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: that's not the song. That's one. It's the one I like.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: I sung the one IV. All right, we'll be back
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: with our last break of the day, and of course
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Steve's closing remarks, don't go anywhere, We'll be right back.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: You're listening to all right, Steve, what an incredible day.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Here we are, last break of the day. Closing remarks,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: It's time let's go. Uh. You know, um, I came
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: to work this morning and early in the day they
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: played on my show a clip that's trending that I
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: didn't even really know what's trending until I got it
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: work this morning. I didn't know because I don't I
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: don't follow the internet because I worked till late at night.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: You know, I work, I work all day. I worked
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: till late at night. So I found out that I'm trending.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: And what's happening is a lot of people seem to
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: be upset with me because they said I was my tone.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: I was yelling at them and telling them that rich
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: people don't sleep eight hours. Here's here's a part. People
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: don't know that. Every day, after every show I do,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: I stand in front of a crowd of people and
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I say encouraging things to them. The video I saw,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: as a matter of fact, Steve Harvey recently, a recent video.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: I had a beard in the video. I took my
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: beard off a couple months ago, at least a few
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: months ago. And so, you know, they got this video
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: and they say that Steve Harvey's talking to people and
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: he's wrong about what he's said, and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: But what people don't know is what was said before
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: and what was said afterwards. And I take every show
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: I do. I don't care if it's celebrity, family feud,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: the talk show, it doesn't matter. I stand there every
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: single day and I try to say something encouraging to people.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: And everything I say to people it's with the intent
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: to encourage and enlighten. And on that particular day, I
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: happened to be talking about the scripture that I had read,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: and somebody had asked me earlier in the day. You know,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: I just I'd be so tired. I don't want to
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: do this, And we had got into a discussion about it,
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: and I was trying to be passionate to the person
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: to explained to them that I got that you tired,
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: but you got to press through. If you want to
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: be at a certain level. Now, if you don't want
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: to be at a certain level, I even say it
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: in a conversation, this conversation ain't for you. And then
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: at the end of that I do a survey. And
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: there's a scripture that I'm paraphrasing. This scripture that says
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: he who loves to sleep in the folding of hands,
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: poverty was set upon you like a thief in the night.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: That's in the Bible. My father was a coal miner.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: I was taught to work hard in mind time. I
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: don't know anything else. If you know another way to
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: become successful, you should write a book about it. If
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: you are if you come up with a book called
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: success Made Easy, Breezy, you should sell that book and
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: make a lot of money. But I, Steve Harvey, only
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: know one way to be successful. That's to work my
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: tail off and grind really really hard, which I do.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: And so when I talk to people, I have to
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: talk to people from my perspective. I can't give you
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: another perspective. I can only give you the one that
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: I have, And I try to encourage people to wake up,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: get at it, chase your dreams. You know, dreams are
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: nothing until they put on work clothes. If you're just dreaming,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: you're just dreaming. But until you put work clothes on,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: your dreams they just dreams, you're really not going to
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: accomplish anything. And so I just try to encourage people
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: to do that. I just try to get people look
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: at it from a different angle. So this that I'm
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: saying to you is just to say to you that
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: that's the attitude you have to have. If you want
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: to be successful, you have to be willing to get
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: up in grind and hustle. Being extremely successful or if
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: you got aspiration to being a millionaire or successful entrepreneur,
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: or climb the top of the corporate letter, you got
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: to do extra. You can't do what everybody else does
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: and expect to get something that they don't have. If
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: you want something that no one else has, that other
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: people don't have, you got to do some things that
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: other people don't do. That's an encouraging thing to get
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: But the devil being as busy as he is, and
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: his job is simply one thing to rob you of
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: your desk. To me, he has imps that go to
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: work for him on the day to day basis, and
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: they thrive on the Internet. So they take bits and
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: pieces and start calling you out your name and who
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: he think he is when you miss the entire message. Now,
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: so now you don't get to hear the point of
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: what somebody said. You get there the comments about what
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: they said about who said it. Well, I'm not discouraged
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: about that in the least bit. I have to continue
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: to do what I'm called to do. And I understand
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: that part of the reason that God made me successful
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: is to share my theories on success. Now, my theories
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: on success don't apply to everybody because everybody don't want
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: to hear it. See, some people don't want to hear
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: what it takes to make it because they ain't willing
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: to do what it takes to make it. So now
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: they don't want to hear you telling them that they
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: got to do something different. And I understand that it's
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: not for you. If you want to sleep eight hours,
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: remember y'all, that's a third of your life. Now tack
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: on the fact that you got to wake up and eat,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: you got to get dressed, in shower, and you got
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: to drive somewhere. All this is time on top of
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: the eight. How much time is left in your day
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: to get to where it is you're trying to get to.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: That's the thing that's the message. Now, me talking loud
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: and sounding like I'm angry, that's passion. Most people from
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: the hood note when somebody talking loud in this passion.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: But when you get on that internet and you text
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: it and you type it, you're just trying to destroy.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: I want you to understand that you will not destroy.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: You won't stop me. I'm fine with it. I've really
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: gotten some tough skin. As a matter of fact, I
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: want to thank a lot of people who have hated
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: on me, because you've really made me developed the skin
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: that I've needed to do the things that I've been
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: required to do. And I appreciate it. I really really
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: do appreciate it. For those that for those that love you,
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: no explanation necessary. For those that hate you, no explanation acceptable.
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: Y'all have a great week, enjoy yourself. I'm gonna be
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: right back at it, and oh, by the way, I
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: won't be going to bed until late tonight and I
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: will not sleep eight hours. That's all that's right, nice,
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: right now. For all Steve every contests, no purchase necessary,
