- 2:07Speaker 1: come on, dig me NW one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This is a good one because today I want to
- 2:18Speaker 1: share with you something that affects every living soul, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone. It
- 2:31Speaker 1: is your attitude. You know. I don't know if anyone's
- 2:37Speaker 1: ever told you, but I mean many of you who
- 2:40Speaker 1: listen know this. But there are a lot of people
- 2:43Speaker 1: who don't understand a positive attitude can bring about a change.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well, now
- 2:55Speaker 1: here we go with the nay says, well, Steve, what
- 2:57Speaker 1: you mean if I'm just positive being chained. Un I'm
- 3:00Speaker 1: a gonna what me being positive got to do with that? Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 1: now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 3:08Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that,
- 3:11Speaker 1: But they didn't fired me. So now what does my
- 3:14Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 3:17Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time. A positive
- 3:23Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Or Steve, I set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: in here and gave eight nine, twelve years of my
- 3:33Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 3:36Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 3:39Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 3:42Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 3:46Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Now listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 3:52Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts
- 3:59Speaker 1: it just is just start. It starts within you. See,
- 4:06Speaker 1: life is ten percent of what happens is what you
- 4:09Speaker 1: do about what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of
- 4:12Speaker 1: your life to this man. He cheated and left you
- 4:15Speaker 1: hold in the bag, the kids and everything. Now what
- 4:18Speaker 1: does being positive have to do with changing that? Or
- 4:21Speaker 1: they came in and they fired you. You lost your
- 4:23Speaker 1: job that you was a stellar performer at. But now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: how does you having a positive attitude, How does that
- 4:30Speaker 1: change things for you? So far? You can use any example.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Here's what happens when you have a positive attitude. What
- 4:40Speaker 1: it produces within you is a positive approach to life.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And when you have a positive attitude and a positive
- 4:48Speaker 1: approach to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to
- 4:54Speaker 1: have a positive out look, to expect things to evic
- 5:00Speaker 1: actually turn around and and and and turn into a
- 5:02Speaker 1: positive That's very important because as the law of attraction
- 5:06Speaker 1: comes into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract
- 5:12Speaker 1: positive things. If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil
- 5:17Speaker 1: to you. You know, if you want for nothing, then
- 5:22Speaker 1: nothing comes your way. If you want for a positive attitude,
- 5:25Speaker 1: if you want for positive results, if you want for
- 5:28Speaker 1: a great outcome, that's what you attract to you. The
- 5:31Speaker 1: change will begin within you. So let's take the man
- 5:35Speaker 1: that walked out your life and left you hold in
- 5:37Speaker 1: the bag. Here's a positive attitude. Okay, two things have
- 5:42Speaker 1: happened as positive here. Number one, you've ridd it yourself
- 5:46Speaker 1: of someone who is obviously going to be if not
- 5:49Speaker 1: already been toxic in your life, cause you many restless nights,
- 5:54Speaker 1: a lot of uncomfortable feelings, an uneasiness, not sure in purity.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You've been going through it with this person, whoever they are.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Number One, that person has been released from your life.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Number Two, it allows you now to have the someone
- 6:12Speaker 1: who will treat you just the way you want to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be treated. That's the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's when you're a positive person. You see the positive
- 6:21Speaker 1: in things that happen to you, instead of burying yourself
- 6:25Speaker 1: under the what's wrong with it? A old woe is
- 6:27Speaker 1: me now? Concept? See a positive attitude. When they came
- 6:32Speaker 1: in there and they fired you and let you go,
- 6:34Speaker 1: Could this not have been just the opening you needed
- 6:39Speaker 1: to finally start on a new career path that you've
- 6:42Speaker 1: been talking about doing anyway? Could it possibly be a
- 6:46Speaker 1: brand new chance for you to get the dream job
- 6:49Speaker 1: or dream career of your choice. Could it not possibly
- 6:53Speaker 1: be the perfect opportunity now for you to finally finally
- 7:00Speaker 1: do something about that gift, about that talent that God
- 7:03Speaker 1: gave you, that thing that you love to do. Could
- 7:05Speaker 1: it not be the perfect time for you to pursue that.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But if you don't have a positive attitude, then you
- 7:11Speaker 1: lay there. Oh they finn come getting my house. Oh
- 7:15Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do now? All this unemployment ain't enough.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh Lord, when this unemployment run out, what am I
- 7:22Speaker 1: gonna do? Then I won't have nothing? And you old
- 7:25Speaker 1: woe is me until you become old woe is me.
- 7:29Speaker 1: But if you take it from the positive approach, some
- 7:32Speaker 1: amazing things can happen in your life. I will tell
- 7:35Speaker 1: you on a personal note, that's some of the most
- 7:39Speaker 1: some of the best changes, some of the biggest moments
- 7:42Speaker 1: in my life came after a loss. So I don't
- 7:46Speaker 1: want to go down on the list, but boy, I
- 7:47Speaker 1: could tell you. Let me let me tell you something.
- 7:49Speaker 1: When they didn't want me on the radio anymore in La,
- 7:53Speaker 1: when they didn't when they went, it was sicking the
- 7:55Speaker 1: way I did radio out there, and they wanted me gone.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And on May twenty third, two thousand and five, when
- 8:04Speaker 1: my when? When? When? When my deal was done? With
- 8:09Speaker 1: the beat out in La. Okay, Look what happened though, y'all?
- 8:14Speaker 1: I was gone in May. But in September nineteenth I
- 8:17Speaker 1: started to Steve Harvey Radio Network with four cities. You see,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but I didn't go old woe was me. I said,
- 8:26Speaker 1: oh okay, God must have something else from it then,
- 8:30Speaker 1: because if he didn't remove me from this, that must
- 8:32Speaker 1: be something else. Same thing can happened when you lose
- 8:35Speaker 1: and you and you and you break up in a relationship.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Same thing can happen to you. You never know the
- 8:40Speaker 1: one God God for you that here you go, here
- 8:43Speaker 1: you go again. Now you get put into a situation
- 8:45Speaker 1: with somebody, treat you just to where you want to
- 8:47Speaker 1: be treated, provide you the whole lot of aspects of
- 8:50Speaker 1: your life you knew nothing about prior to that. But
- 8:52Speaker 1: you gotta stay positive. If you stay positive, that positive attitude,
- 8:57Speaker 1: that optimistic outlook, that that that always thinking God got
- 9:02Speaker 1: me no matter what happened to me, some amazing things
- 9:05Speaker 1: that's going can will happen in your life. It's a fact.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't know how it works that way. I just
- 9:11Speaker 1: know that's what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So get off the old woe is mean negativity train
- 9:18Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and
- 9:20Speaker 1: get get your outlook up. If you change your attitude,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you change your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude.
- 9:29Speaker 1: How high you go, how big you become, how far
- 9:32Speaker 1: you go. It all depends on how you think. It
- 9:35Speaker 1: all depends on what type of attitude you got. It
- 9:39Speaker 1: ain't no, ain't no very very successful, super negative people.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It just doesn't coincide that way. If you see that
- 9:46Speaker 1: something happened to them along the way, and don't weary.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You ain't gonna wear ay about it because you ain't
- 9:50Speaker 1: gonna see them long because you can't stay up there
- 9:52Speaker 1: like that. It's just too hard. All right, that's the
- 9:56Speaker 1: conversation you're listening to show. Ladies and gentlemen, let me

- 23:10Speaker 1: you ran into my car. I gotta bends a block
- 23:12Speaker 1: one of two thousand and five C two forty Now

- 24:05Speaker 1: in the parking lot. Any the only light blue car
- 24:07Speaker 1: in the parking lot. Right now, I ain't gonna say
- 24:10Speaker 1: I've been the only light blue car in the damn

- 24:27Speaker 1: that saw me hit your car, no, I don't have
- 24:29Speaker 1: no cameras. But then I believe this conversation is over,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and I don't give a damn what's a cross That
- 24:36Speaker 1: man across the hall told you. Look, let me tell
- 24:39Speaker 1: you something. You didn't hit my car. Now you hold

- 24:46Speaker 1: I'm not yelling at you, But you didn't hit my car.
- 24:48Speaker 1: You the only touch your damn you're the only light
- 24:51Speaker 1: blue car in the parking lot, the only light blue
- 24:54Speaker 1: car in the parking lot. And nah, and as a
- 24:56Speaker 1: matter of crack, my car ain't even in the parking lot.
- 24:59Speaker 1: My supposed bar I go to the stop. What is
- 25:01Speaker 1: it possible that your sister is the one that hit
- 25:03Speaker 1: my car? Now? Nah? What? Okay? Is your sister when
- 25:08Speaker 1: is she coming back? Maybe she hit my car and
- 25:10Speaker 1: didn't tell you she hit my car. Now, she ain't
- 25:12Speaker 1: hit your car. She ain't hit your car, because she
- 25:14Speaker 1: would have told me she hit your damn call. Look, uh,
- 25:18Speaker 1: I said, ain't nobody to hit your damn car. My
- 25:20Speaker 1: car ain't got no damn scratches on it. What you
- 25:22Speaker 1: ain't gonna be at me? Though? You won't give a
- 25:26Speaker 1: what kind of scratches you got on your car? But
- 25:29Speaker 1: I can't do a damn thing about it. And even
- 25:31Speaker 1: if you did, let me just be clear, I ain't
- 25:33Speaker 1: got no insurance, no way, so I can't do nothing
- 25:36Speaker 1: for you. Wait a minute, Wait a minute, let me
- 25:38Speaker 1: tell you something. You ain't got to tell me. You
- 25:40Speaker 1: ain't got to tell me. Fine, and as far as
- 25:43Speaker 1: I'm concerned, this conversation is over. Wait a minute, let
- 25:46Speaker 1: me ask you he call it back. Mister. You act
- 25:52Speaker 1: like I ain't got your car about. You had at
- 26:00Speaker 1: them scratches on your car all ready, and you ain't
- 26:03Speaker 1: going to use me as no more an excuse to
- 26:06Speaker 1: get you no new payers. I had no scratches already
- 26:09Speaker 1: on my car. Yeah you had him? Oh yeah, you
- 26:10Speaker 1: had no I'm gonna tell him an insurance or just
- 26:14Speaker 1: if he come over here, noah, because you're gonna be
- 26:17Speaker 1: using your insurance. I now retold you ain't got a play.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Don't make me come over to your apartment on seven
- 26:22Speaker 1: standing in the door. I'm on my way to the
- 26:23Speaker 1: doll Na, I'm standing in the door. Come out, come out. Look,
- 26:27Speaker 1: I got thirty five hundred dollars worth for scratches on
- 26:30Speaker 1: my car that you need to pay for. You the
- 26:32Speaker 1: only you're the only worth thirty five more one hundred dollars.
- 26:37Speaker 1: So you already doing better than me? What? What? What? What? Look?
- 26:42Speaker 1: I not ready told you. I'm tired of talking to you.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I'm watching TV and you ain't got still talk to
- 26:48Speaker 1: me about I need to talk to you about this
- 26:50Speaker 1: cart and cut your call. My car ain't bumped up
- 26:55Speaker 1: against your call. I ain't even part nixt to no
- 26:58Speaker 1: BMW's late. It's a ben ever, it's a ben C
- 27:04Speaker 1: two forty a black Give a damn If it's a
- 27:08Speaker 1: being seven seven and seven, I can't help you. They
- 27:11Speaker 1: don't make a seven seven lady. Look, you know what?
- 27:16Speaker 1: Can I say something to you? No, you can't say
- 27:19Speaker 1: you know what you can say to me? You can
- 27:21Speaker 1: say by I just want to say one more thing
- 27:23Speaker 1: to you, one more thing. I'm gonna give your one
- 27:26Speaker 1: moment and go ahead on all. I want to say this, nephew,
- 27:30Speaker 1: timment from the Steve Harvard Morning Show. Your sister robbing
- 27:32Speaker 1: out of DC put me off, make me you know what,
- 27:39Speaker 1: I don't even have y'all show. I listened to the
- 27:42Speaker 1: show on the inn knee and this, Oh you wait
- 27:47Speaker 1: till I talk to her. I hate mister Dale. Will
- 27:50Speaker 1: listen before you go. Can you tell me what is
- 27:53Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land? The Steve Harved
- 27:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right that you saw me, you knew
- 28:02Speaker 1: you didn't run into nobody? Damn I hit nobody because
- 28:05Speaker 1: I'll be trying to pull myself out there. Won't nobody
- 28:08Speaker 1: hit me, you know? All right? And then you have it.
- 28:16Speaker 1: You hit my car. Yeah, yeah, you do right there,
- 28:19Speaker 1: but you won't do that anymore. You're talking about the
- 28:22Speaker 1: cross side blanketed blank cross that's what you're talking about, exactly,
- 28:28Speaker 1: all right. I'm right, all right, I'm the only blew
- 28:31Speaker 1: mustag out there right now, camera right camera, Yeah, m yes,
- 28:40Speaker 1: November the twelfth is the date surgery we'll take place. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: what you really gonna do it? But yeah, I'm gonna
- 28:50Speaker 1: get it out the way. Man. It's been over five years.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I should have been done it. I can't all my
- 28:57Speaker 1: wife in there, all right? You know what. We don't
- 29:00Speaker 1: have time to delve into this any further than this.
- 29:03Speaker 1: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:05Speaker 1: we'll have some entertainment and national news for you right
- 29:07Speaker 1: after this. That guy come out you're listening to show.
- 29:16Speaker 1: As we reported before, a number of fires have firefighters
- 29:20Speaker 1: in California residents they're on edge. Everyone is as a
- 29:24Speaker 1: Kincaid and getty. Fires continue to rage. Hollywood stars are
- 29:28Speaker 1: among the thousands of residents forced to evacuate their homes
- 29:32Speaker 1: amid the blaze. Celebrity evacuees include Lebron, James, Arnold Schwarzenegger,
- 29:37Speaker 1: and more, many of which are taking to social media
- 29:40Speaker 1: to share updates as they seek refuge. The stars are
- 29:43Speaker 1: thanking the best firefighters in the world for putting their
- 29:48Speaker 1: lives on the line to protect Californians from the blaze.
- 29:51Speaker 1: That is correct right there. Rolling power outages, which have
- 29:55Speaker 1: been ordered by Pacific Gas and Electric to reduce the
- 29:58Speaker 1: risk of more wildfires, is leaving close to one million
- 30:02Speaker 1: people in the dark. Weather conditions aren't expected to improve
- 30:05Speaker 1: for at least another couple of days. Strong winds and
- 30:09Speaker 1: dry air will continue to fan the flames. And we
- 30:12Speaker 1: are definitely praying for our neighbors California. It's close. My
- 30:18Speaker 1: son's home had to be evacuated and you know, yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: he had to get out. It's way too. It's just
- 30:25Speaker 1: a lot going home, man. But like I tell people
- 30:27Speaker 1: all time, it's property. You can get some own property.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Don't stay and try to fight no flames. Those ambers
- 30:34Speaker 1: with these winds, get out of there. That's what loans.
- 30:37Speaker 1: We have a lot of sporadic fires because that wind
- 30:40Speaker 1: blow them ambers and the roof catch on fire and
- 30:43Speaker 1: the house next to it might not be, but then
- 30:45Speaker 1: it blow over a block over in that house on fire.
- 30:48Speaker 1: We don't have enough firefighters to fight all this because
- 30:51Speaker 1: it containment is so so much. That's a blaze. So
- 30:56Speaker 1: please pay pay attention, very very close attention to these
- 30:59Speaker 1: announcements of evacuation. Yeah, you lived in Texas, and you
- 31:04Speaker 1: know how we have flood insurance and that's all I
- 31:08Speaker 1: really know about because I grew up in Texas. Do
- 31:11Speaker 1: they have insurance for stuff like that? Yeah? Yeah they yea, yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 1: yeah they have fire But you it's a lot of
- 31:17Speaker 1: people are having a real hard time in certain sections
- 31:21Speaker 1: collecting on the fire money. Uh, there's people suing. Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 1: it's a lot of people suing companies. I can't tell
- 31:31Speaker 1: you all the reasons why, but some people are are
- 31:36Speaker 1: very very slow and being told that they won't receive
- 31:39Speaker 1: benefits because you gotta excuse me, pay attention to what
- 31:43Speaker 1: type of fire that it is, because they you know,
- 31:46Speaker 1: insurance companies are tricky, man. They have loopholes. So everybody
- 31:50Speaker 1: that helps right doesn't necessarily get it. Like I know
- 31:56Speaker 1: a part of mine whose house caught on fire because
- 31:59Speaker 1: of the fire, but the ambers blew over and his
- 32:02Speaker 1: neighbor's house caught on fire, which caught his house on fire.
- 32:06Speaker 1: He was fighting to get the wild nature fire. Whatever
- 32:09Speaker 1: they have, I don't really know. I've never had a
- 32:11Speaker 1: lost the house about five Yeah, I don't really know.
- 32:13Speaker 1: But not everybody. Wow, it's not automatic coverage. Just like flooding,
- 32:19Speaker 1: it's not always Yeah, you know, water damage is not
- 32:24Speaker 1: always covered. You got to really know what type of
- 32:27Speaker 1: coverage you have. Yeah, And can just say another shout
- 32:31Speaker 1: out to the firefighters because they do an awesome job.
- 32:36Speaker 1: They really really do. They take a risk. Yeah, they
- 32:39Speaker 1: do ye all day, all night, all yeah, anytime they're
- 32:43Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, you know, And Steve, that was a
- 32:46Speaker 1: good what you said, because that's a good It's a
- 32:49Speaker 1: good time for everyone to brush up on their insurance
- 32:51Speaker 1: policies to know what they're covered, what they have, whatever
- 32:55Speaker 1: part of the country that you live in. Because you
- 32:56Speaker 1: got fires on the West coast, you got hurricanes, tornadoes
- 32:59Speaker 1: and mids, blizzards, flooding. Yeah, you need to know what
- 33:06Speaker 1: it really is and to what extent and the fine
- 33:09Speaker 1: print is hurting a lot of people, yeah, a lot
- 33:13Speaker 1: because these natural disasters. It's like the new norm. Now.
- 33:19Speaker 1: That's what California Governor Gavin Neuson was saying. Yeah, this
- 33:23Speaker 1: is crazy. One of those flurries can catch his house
- 33:26Speaker 1: on fire if he the house next door. I'm just
- 33:29Speaker 1: using as an example for everybody to know what your
- 33:32Speaker 1: coverage is and thoroughly understand and ask questions because there's
- 33:37Speaker 1: a lot of people right now that's suing who are homeless.
- 33:42Speaker 1: That is a mayor. I wish I could think of
- 33:44Speaker 1: him because I just saw him on LATV the other day.
- 33:47Speaker 1: It's a mayor that still running his business but he's
- 33:51Speaker 1: living in back of his business because his home was
- 33:53Speaker 1: burned down in fire, and he's suing though insurance company
- 33:57Speaker 1: because they won't pay his benefits. It's a lot. You
- 34:01Speaker 1: have to know what you have. Flooding and water insurance
- 34:05Speaker 1: is very very It's it's different, tricky. You know, flooding
- 34:09Speaker 1: In addition, flood insurance is an addition to property. It's
- 34:14Speaker 1: not it's not included. Like you're saying, Steve, you gotta
- 34:17Speaker 1: know what you have. Yeah sure, yeah, yeah, Well you
- 34:21Speaker 1: weren't believe people that's in fights with insurance companies thinking
- 34:26Speaker 1: they were covered for a certain type of thing that
- 34:29Speaker 1: happened to their home. Find out is not Yeah, so
- 34:33Speaker 1: you know you have to pay att Yeah. And according
- 34:37Speaker 1: to the Chicago Tribune, in a twist on carpool karaoke,
- 34:42Speaker 1: Kanye West and It's one hundred plus member choir saying
- 34:46Speaker 1: on his airplane on Monday's The Late Late Show with
- 34:49Speaker 1: James Gordon, the setup went like this. James Gordon's flight
- 34:52Speaker 1: back to la was canceled, so he hits the ride
- 34:55Speaker 1: with Kanye. Kanye offered Cordon the dreaded middle seat on
- 34:59Speaker 1: the plane, but it may well have been the best
- 35:00Speaker 1: seat in the house because they were jamming and rocking
- 35:03Speaker 1: on the plane, performing Jesus walks and more. Take a
- 35:07Speaker 1: listen to this, the hustlers, even the strippers, to the
- 35:14Speaker 1: victims of wealth, that we liveing in hell here, hell yeah,
- 35:19Speaker 1: now here. We here. We want to see thee more clearly.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I know he hit me when my feet get wed,
- 35:24Speaker 1: because we're the almost nearly extinct we wrappers as role models.
- 35:28Speaker 1: We wrapped. We don't think. I ain't here to argue
- 35:31Speaker 1: about his facial features. We hit the term eighty years
- 35:34Speaker 1: into believe us. I'm just trying to say the way
- 35:37Speaker 1: school need Jesus, the way Kathie needed Fesus. That's the
- 35:39Speaker 1: way I need Jesus. Was man, Yes he was ken.
- 35:44Speaker 1: He ain't told James Cordon that to. Following his mental
- 35:47Speaker 1: health crisis, he felt like he needed to start a church,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and that's what he did. All right. Coming up at
- 35:52Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour, we're gonna talk about trending
- 35:55Speaker 1: sports news the World Series right after this you're listening show. Well, Tommy,
- 36:03Speaker 1: Carla and Junior, congratulations. Uh well, you guys almost hated
- 36:09Speaker 1: you almost had it. I mean you congratulations almost had it.
- 36:13Speaker 1: That don't don't go together. I know what you did
- 36:15Speaker 1: well though, did we know we lost? There? Ain't you
- 36:21Speaker 1: ain't in Creed? Yes, I was trying to make you
- 36:25Speaker 1: feel bad. Comparison there is no I mean, you guys
- 36:33Speaker 1: got there at least you know we got one motion. Yeah.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Game six was in the World Series. Yeah, yeah, we
- 36:41Speaker 1: lost that. But tomorrow, all right, Halloween night, we finish
- 36:45Speaker 1: scared the hell out of and win this thing. Okay,
- 36:50Speaker 1: we've been to do something. Me and may Park, Houston, Texas,
- 36:53Speaker 1: let's go. May be right there. What's the suggestions? I
- 37:00Speaker 1: got a suggestion for y'all. Why don't y'all dress up
- 37:04Speaker 1: as champions? I like it, yes, claim, yes, that work.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Good answer. Steve Champion looked like, I don't know we
- 37:17Speaker 1: had one in Cleveland. Cleveland. I ain't that in the
- 37:26Speaker 1: end of you win one year man? Hell no? Oh?
- 37:30Speaker 1: In the movie Major League, they did? I remember that?
- 37:35Speaker 1: Remember that movie Wild Thing? Oh? Yeah that was with Yeah. Yeah,
- 37:44Speaker 1: ain't nobody y'all wanted the movie? Yeah that was make
- 37:50Speaker 1: though not real life Cleveland. No, he's so like quiet,
- 37:56Speaker 1: it's sad. You got to be dead. A cleeped fan
- 38:00Speaker 1: in Cleveland two thousand and sixteen. Lebron here, we gonna
- 38:05Speaker 1: listen to this and the Cleveland Cavaliers. We haven't had
- 38:09Speaker 1: a championship in Cleveland since nineteen sixty four. I was saying, Wow,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I won't need me. Yeah, the Cavaliers won't win ever again. Ever,
- 38:24Speaker 1: what about the Brownst'll be so down? You've seen what's
- 38:29Speaker 1: happening to them this year. There's hope with the Browns,
- 38:32Speaker 1: right all, I hope went out the window with that
- 38:35Speaker 1: lost to New England. Oh. I thought you're gonna say,
- 38:38Speaker 1: Jim Brown, Oh wow, surely way back all that saying
- 38:45Speaker 1: pray for us tomorrow. Okay, we are okay for sure
- 38:49Speaker 1: tomorrow eh town base for the baseball. I'm just gonna
- 38:54Speaker 1: be real for me, all right. Listen, coming up at
- 38:59Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour, Steve Harvey is in Dubai
- 39:03Speaker 1: and uh he's balling. You know he's balling. He'll tell
- 39:05Speaker 1: us about it right after this you're listening to. So
- 39:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, we all know that you are a world traveler.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Where are you now and what is going on? What
- 39:19Speaker 1: is this about? What are you doing in Dubai, Steve,
- 39:22Speaker 1: I'm in Dubai. I'm actually in another Emirates location called
- 39:28Speaker 1: Charging Charging. I'm in Charging, which is just outside of
- 39:32Speaker 1: Dubai for the Charger International Book Fair. I'm was the
- 39:38Speaker 1: special guest invited over for that. His Highness, the Shaikh
- 39:43Speaker 1: Sultan of Charging invited me over. Education is real big
- 39:48Speaker 1: with him and books and so the Book Fairs International
- 39:52Speaker 1: is every major book publisher, anything book, anything to do
- 39:58Speaker 1: with books is here in charge of this weekend over
- 40:03Speaker 1: over two thousand representatives from the book world of business,
- 40:08Speaker 1: and so they invited me over as their special guests
- 40:12Speaker 1: of your Highness the Check Sultan and my wife and
- 40:16Speaker 1: I are here, and so it's uh, this morning is
- 40:21Speaker 1: when it all jumps off. This morning. And so right
- 40:24Speaker 1: after I get off the air, I go to work.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I go to work. How you get over there? You
- 40:31Speaker 1: did you do? Imritates? Yeah, imrits. No, that's my bucket
- 40:35Speaker 1: lift first class, immorats. That's on my list. That's on
- 40:39Speaker 1: my list. First class from LA is about almost a
- 40:45Speaker 1: little over sixteen hours. Ye huh. But you say you
- 40:49Speaker 1: love those long, long fights, right, Steve Man, My kids
- 40:54Speaker 1: be amazed at me. Dad, You don't. You don't need
- 40:56Speaker 1: the Wi Fi code for what my phone is in
- 41:01Speaker 1: this compartment over here. I ain't look at my phone.
- 41:04Speaker 1: That's when you chill and relax on the long flight time.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I watched movies. Man, Let me tell you something I
- 41:10Speaker 1: watched on this flight, some stuff you would have never thought.
- 41:13Speaker 1: First of all, I watched the documentary I Am Bolt.
- 41:16Speaker 1: It's the U Same Boat story. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 41:19Speaker 1: really enjoyed that. Man, that's a bad boy. When you
- 41:21Speaker 1: really really look at that documentary to see what all
- 41:24Speaker 1: he went through. How in the world do you win
- 41:27Speaker 1: three Olympic goals in the role in the one hundred
- 41:30Speaker 1: and the two hundred yeah, that's twelve years of the
- 41:34Speaker 1: fastest on the planet. Yeah yeah, and man, what he
- 41:37Speaker 1: did and the way they trained it ain't like the US.
- 41:40Speaker 1: They don't have all that in Jamaica. They just bring
- 41:42Speaker 1: speed over that. So I watched his documentary. I also
- 41:46Speaker 1: watched a doctoratementary on this thing called Bros Bros, which
- 41:51Speaker 1: is these two white kids from London who had a
- 41:55Speaker 1: boy band I'd never heard of. I accidentally started watching
- 41:57Speaker 1: it because I couldn't hit the switch, but it was
- 41:59Speaker 1: pretty good. Then I watched the movie, Oh, what's that
- 42:03Speaker 1: movie Shirley about the band Queen? Oh yeah yeah, Bohemian Rapsody, Yeah,
- 42:09Speaker 1: Bohemian Rapsody. Right, And then I tell you something that
- 42:13Speaker 1: was good. I was stunned. That was Freddie Mercury was
- 42:16Speaker 1: in that movie. Man, that was really really good. Oh
- 42:20Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah, yeah, you know how they came up
- 42:22Speaker 1: with all them songs? His life too? Really really and
- 42:27Speaker 1: uh wow, you see, you you got seventeen hours. You
- 42:33Speaker 1: watch a lot of stuff you would regularly watch. So
- 42:36Speaker 1: is it true you can take a shower on that flight, Steve? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 42:43Speaker 1: order the time you want to take the shower. It's
- 42:48Speaker 1: really nice. It's not like a regular bathroom on a
- 42:51Speaker 1: regular airline. They have those, but not up there in
- 42:55Speaker 1: that class. They got showers. I'm talking about the bathroom.
- 42:58Speaker 1: You opened the door, you ain't got a bend over.
- 43:00Speaker 1: You can walk around. The toilet is away from the sink.
- 43:04Speaker 1: You know. The dressing area they got tangars in there.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You know, they lay mats out for you take a shower.
- 43:09Speaker 1: They disinfect the shower after each person. It's really really
- 43:13Speaker 1: nice flight, big twenty seven inch TV. Your doors can shut,
- 43:17Speaker 1: so you're kind of like in a closed in cabin,
- 43:20Speaker 1: you know, with no top on it. You got your
- 43:22Speaker 1: own refreshment ball. I'm gonna be a spokesperson for this
- 43:25Speaker 1: damn airline. I keep flying for us all over It
- 43:29Speaker 1: sounds like that's what you're doing right now. Yeah for
- 43:32Speaker 1: no check, so letting me shut up. Well, how's the
- 43:36Speaker 1: weather where you are, Steve? What's the mean? What were

- 52:06Speaker 1: was in the house calling I was a girl scout.
- 52:10Speaker 1: You wasn't at the funding, missed the caller. You didn't
- 52:14Speaker 1: get to hear how the family just let us know
- 52:16Speaker 1: she wouldn't come out the high None of that. He
- 52:19Speaker 1: was buy girl scout. It was just a question. I

- 53:15Speaker 1: all right, bug a luck, hold on tight, we got
- 53:19Speaker 1: it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter. All right,
- 53:22Speaker 1: thank you, nephew. Subject my husband's behavior is bugging me.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a problem that's bugging me.
- 53:30Speaker 1: My husband has always been attracted to big butts and
- 53:33Speaker 1: a smile, and his girls before me were very ratchet. Recently,
- 53:38Speaker 1: he's been telling me that he is taking odd jobs
- 53:40Speaker 1: across town for extra money. He's been a carpenter by trade.
- 53:44Speaker 1: He is a carpenter by trade and a handyman on
- 53:47Speaker 1: the side. I haven't seen any of the extra money,
- 53:53Speaker 1: so I got suspicious. I know he likes the company
- 53:56Speaker 1: of other women, but I thought that was in his past. Well.
- 53:59Speaker 1: One evening, when I was lying in bed, I noticed
- 54:02Speaker 1: a few black spots on his pillow and along the
- 54:04Speaker 1: top of our bed. I suspected further and realized. I
- 54:09Speaker 1: inspected further and realized they were bedbugs. I checked my
- 54:12Speaker 1: body and I noticed a few marks on my arms
- 54:16Speaker 1: up by my shoulders, and I went to the doctor
- 54:19Speaker 1: and found out that they were definitely bedbugs, but it
- 54:23Speaker 1: wasn't a bad case. I called my husband and asked
- 54:27Speaker 1: him to come straight home after work because I figured
- 54:30Speaker 1: he brought the bugs home. He came home and I
- 54:33Speaker 1: noticed he had the same pattern of red spots on
- 54:36Speaker 1: his neck, his shoulders, and down both arms. I told
- 54:39Speaker 1: him that they were bedbugs, and I accused him of
- 54:42Speaker 1: bringing them into the house. He told me they may
- 54:45Speaker 1: have come from one of the houses where he did
- 54:48Speaker 1: some plumbing work. I didn't believe him, so the next
- 54:52Speaker 1: night I followed him. He drove straight to the ghetto,
- 54:57Speaker 1: parked his truck and went inside in a part without knocking.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I knew then that he was spending time with a
- 55:04Speaker 1: nasty female and he must have brought her bedball bedbugs
- 55:08Speaker 1: home with him. I texted him and told him I
- 55:11Speaker 1: was onto him, and he didn't respond. Now he's ignoring
- 55:15Speaker 1: me because I've asked him to leave his clothes outside
- 55:18Speaker 1: when he comes home. He swears he's just doing a
- 55:21Speaker 1: little extra work to make ends meet. I'm tempted to
- 55:24Speaker 1: keep snooping because I think he's lying. What should I do?
- 55:28Speaker 1: This is really bugging me and I need answers. Please help. Well,
- 55:33Speaker 1: I mean, you know, if you're tempted to keep snooping,
- 55:36Speaker 1: you know what happens when you snoop, you find stuff.
- 55:38Speaker 1: If you think he's lying, If that's what your intuition
- 55:41Speaker 1: is telling you, you know you're probably going to find something.
- 55:45Speaker 1: But you know what, I just I don't like what
- 55:48Speaker 1: you've done here though. I think you've made a sweeping
- 55:51Speaker 1: generalization about the ghetto. I think it's stereotyping at its worse.
- 55:56Speaker 1: You're saying, you know, just because your husband went to
- 55:58Speaker 1: the ghetto to do some work, supposedly he brought home
- 56:01Speaker 1: bedbugs and all of that about the nasty female. I
- 56:05Speaker 1: just don't think you should say that. I mean, really,
- 56:07Speaker 1: come on with this one. Who knows he probably is cheating,
- 56:14Speaker 1: you know, since you say he's doing odd jobs. He
- 56:17Speaker 1: went to this woman's house, he went in without knocking,
- 56:21Speaker 1: so there's some familiarity there. You haven't seen any money
- 56:24Speaker 1: with these so called odd jobs, so something is going on.
- 56:27Speaker 1: It's definitely caused for concern, i'd say. But what really
- 56:31Speaker 1: is a problem for me and all of this are
- 56:33Speaker 1: these darned bed bugs. I mean, it's making me it's
- 56:37Speaker 1: just reading this letter. You've got to get rid of them,
- 56:40Speaker 1: to do something to get rid of them. And if
- 56:42Speaker 1: you keep snooping and find out that your husband's been cheating,
- 56:47Speaker 1: you probably need to get rid of him too. Steve, Well,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you know, it's a kind of crazy one on. I
- 56:57Speaker 1: really don't want to respond to this letter, cous I
- 57:00Speaker 1: really don't care, right, you know, I got a problem
- 57:05Speaker 1: that's bugging me. That's how she opened the letter. And
- 57:08Speaker 1: then at the end of the letter, this is really
- 57:10Speaker 1: buging me and I need answer. Is you writing jokes?
- 57:16Speaker 1: Because it sound to me like you wrote this letter
- 57:18Speaker 1: trying to be uh uh, you know clever. Now you're
- 57:23Speaker 1: open up your letter telling me how your husband been
- 57:25Speaker 1: attracted to big butts and smiles and all these girls
- 57:29Speaker 1: before me was very ratchet. Well, don't carry I'm assumed
- 57:35Speaker 1: that you have a small button. Now I'm gonna and
- 57:40Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna assume that you bushy. So you're a
- 57:44Speaker 1: little booty woman. That's bullshy. He liked big butt girls,
- 57:49Speaker 1: that's ratchett. All his girl's been up till he got you.
- 57:54Speaker 1: Now hedn't told you he did started taking our jobs
- 57:57Speaker 1: across town for ext your money because he's a carpetent
- 57:59Speaker 1: of any man. But you ain't seen none of the
- 58:02Speaker 1: extra money, so I got suspicious. Then you're saying the
- 58:06Speaker 1: letter that you know he likes the company of other women.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Why y'all married. You're married to a man who you
- 58:14Speaker 1: said likes big butts and ratchet you I'm assuming the
- 58:19Speaker 1: way you wrote this letter have a small butt and
- 58:22Speaker 1: it's bushie. Then you said you know he likes the
- 58:27Speaker 1: company of other women, meaning other than you, So you're
- 58:33Speaker 1: never surprised throughout this letter. It's what throws me off,
- 58:36Speaker 1: you know, But you thought it was in his past.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Then you was laying in a bed and noticed some
- 58:41Speaker 1: black spots on his pillow and along the top out bed.
- 58:45Speaker 1: I ain't I have never seen a bad bug, but
- 58:48Speaker 1: I didn't know they were black spots. I thought that
- 58:53Speaker 1: you made leeching ticks. I don't know what you got
- 58:56Speaker 1: in your bed, but they bad bugs. And you checked
- 58:59Speaker 1: your I didn't you notice these marks and everything? You
- 59:03Speaker 1: went to the doctor. He said, they definitely bed bugs.
- 59:06Speaker 1: But it wasn't a bad case. What is a what
- 59:09Speaker 1: is a good case of Yeah, how don't you have it?
- 59:14Speaker 1: Ain't a bad case? What's a good case of animals
- 59:18Speaker 1: in your baby? Yeah? Because there was just on your
- 59:23Speaker 1: neck and shoulders, that's all right now. They were down
- 59:26Speaker 1: that by your booty. But you can't take no bood
- 59:29Speaker 1: bikes on your booty, according to your letter, because you
- 59:31Speaker 1: have such a small one. Little boy, little boy. All right,
- 59:36Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 59:38Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Today's subject my husband's behavior
- 59:44Speaker 1: is bugging me. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 59:47Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's
- 59:53Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject my husband's behavior is bugging me? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 59:58Speaker 1: This lady isn't out of husband and like big busts
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: and ratchet women. All his women before you was big
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: booty and ratchet. Now all of a sudden he got you.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I'm assuming do the ladder, you got a small booty
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: and your bullshet. Well, then you told us that you
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: know that your husband, being a carpeter, was trying to
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: make extra money, but he has a thing for other women.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: He likes the company of other women. But you thought
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: that was in this path. Well, you know there's some
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: black spots on this pillet on top of the bed.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: You realize that they was bid bulls. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: And then you checked your body and notice so you
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: had some marks on your arms and shoulder. Then you
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: go to some doctor and found out there was big books.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: But it wasn't a bad case. She's so calm. I
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: never man, she's calmed through this whole letter. It wasn't
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: a bad case. Like I said before, what's a good
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: case a bid bulls? Yeah, because you know that you
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: just had him on your neck and shoulders, so you're
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: assuming that this is a bad case. You say, it
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: wasn't a bad case, So let's move on. He came
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: home and you know you figured that he bought the
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: bed bulls. One he came home and you noticed that
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he had the same pattern, the red spots on his neck,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: his shoulders and down both his arms. I told him
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: they was bad bugs, and then you accused him of
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: bringing them into the house. Well, you don't know how
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: they got there, but since you accused him, he told
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you could be from one of the houses he was
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: working where he did some plumbing work. Because I don't
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: know about you, but most plumbing ain't by the bed.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: You know, hard to find bad bugs under the sink.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. Maybe they can be
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: they can be in furniture home. I didn't believe him,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: so the next night I followed him. He drove straight
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to the ghetto, parked his truck and went inside an
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: apartment without knocking. I knew then that he was spending
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: time with a nasty female and he must have bought
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: her bed bugs home with him. I'm trying to figure
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: out who this woman is and watches her man go
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: in a dough without knocking and don't go in behind him.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I'm assuming something else. I'm assuming that, first of all,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you have a little butt. I'm assuming that you are bullshy,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: and I'm assuming that you scared you? Is this a
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: black woman writing this letter? Ghetto? You follow your man
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: to the ghetto, Watch him go in a house he
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: don't even knock on the door, and you're sitting in
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: the truck. What you're doing? You know the hell that
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: would break loose in that house? Well, I said so. Anyway,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I knew then he was spending time with a nasty
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: female and he must have bought her bed bugs home
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: with him. So now here's what she did. I text
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: him and told him I was on to him, and
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: he didn't respond. Girl, didn't didn't you just say he'd
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: be doing plumbing work? Now hearing that plumbing, how is
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: he gonna text you? Why he plumbing? Piping? Hearing that
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: piping all up under your sink, fixing, seeing what's wrong?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: He piping and plumbing. He ain't got time to text
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: you back. I'm starting to think this is not a
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: black woman in this letter right now. I text him,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: told him I was on to him, and he didn't respond.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Now he ignored me because I didn't ask him to
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: leave his clothes outside when he come home. Over you
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: watch the man. You watch your man go into the
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: house of What you say is another woman without without knocking,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: without knocking, go in the house, you text him, he
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: don't text you back. When he come home, you tell
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: him to leave his clothes outside. Leave your clothes outside. Right,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: they're gonna have so many bullet holes in him. My
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: wife is shooting the bed bugs off for me. He
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: swears he just doing a little extra work to make
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: ends me. I'm tempted to keep snooping. Oh yeah, that's
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: what you need to do. Find out some mote. See
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: if that's the only house he going over to the
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: ghetto to get because I think he's lying. What should
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I do? This is really bugging me and I need answer. Lady,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: you didn't followed him. He drove you to somebody's house,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: went in without knocking. Nah, this could be an old customer.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Maybe somebody left the dope and told him due to
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: the piping while they was at work. What you want
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: to find to see? You don't want to believe, no,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: but see your problem is, don't nothing up set you?
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: You got bad bugs? That wasn't bad. He liked other women.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I thought that was in the past. He liked ratchet
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: women with big behind. I got small booty and I'm bushy.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: She did not say that. That's what she might as
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: will say. You drove to ghetto, you stay in the suburb,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: you down, you all down and ghetto. Then get your
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: ass whoop all right to some more people's houses. Yeah. Listen.

- 1:07:08Speaker 1: released a statement saying it is with deepest sorrow that
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: we can confirm our beloved husband and father Done. Witherspoon,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: one of the hardest working men in show business, died
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: today at his home in Sherman Oaks at the age
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: of seventy seven. John Witherspoon, who was born in in
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Detroit in nineteen forty two, started his career as a
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: stand up comic and continued to play clubs throughout his life.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: In the seventies, John Witherspoon appeared in Good Times, What's Happening,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: and The Incredible Hulk, among others, and like I said earlier,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: he became a regular on The Richard Pryce Show. Years later,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: he had recurring roles in The Wayne Brothers and The

- 1:08:16Speaker 1: but he was a big deal to us. The family
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: said in this statement, our condolence was going out to
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: the family and friends and fans of John Witherspoon. We

- 1:08:42Speaker 1: mother not never to move in this neighborhood that we
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: didn't know. You need a gun to walk down to
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: damn street. No it is Ryan here. Oh no, son,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: that's not the way it is. Your kids have did
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: nothing but punks sincy five. So quickly picky a gun.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: You're just scared to take an ass whippen. This one
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: makes you a man. When I was growing up, this
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: was all the protection we needed. You win some, you
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: lose some, but you live, you live to fight another day.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: You're listening. Well, guys, Tomorrow Thursday is Halloween, and when
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: the trigger treaters knock on your door, what will you
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: be putting in their bags this year? According to data
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: from the candystore dot com based on twelve years of sales,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: guess what the best selling candy in the US is. Nope,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: no chocolate involved at all. Chat work. Yeah, the number one,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: but the best selling, the best selling, not the favorite
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: candy or the best tasting, the best selling selling. Oh
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: so that's a difference than different than best I've got
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: to be candy candy. Nope, not candy corn. I'll give
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: you a hand taste the rainbow Skittle Skittles. Kittles. Skittles
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: is the best selling candy in the US. I don't
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: even know if i've skitters. I think maybe once the
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: little hard pieces of kid when I was colorful. Yeah,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: well that's what we candy junior kids. But some people
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: don't like chocolate, so I could see that. I could
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: see skittles selling like that, all right. Now, you don't
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: like chocolate, you like skittles, all right. So Skittles is
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: the best selling candy in the US. That's according to
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: candystore dot com. All right, now, what is the favorite
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: candy in the country. It's just peanut butter Steve, yes, yes, yes,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: you're right, Yeah, I don't know what do we keep
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: talking about this? Four? So is that your favorite? Hell? Yea?
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: And your peppermint patties? Really? Wow? All right, so, according
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: to this candystore dot com, the best selling Halloween candies,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: number one is Skittles. Number two, Steve is Reese's Cup.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Number three corn can. It's candy corn anyway. Number three
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: is Eminem's. Number four, Snickers. Number five is Starburst. Here
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you go, Steve. Number Snickers is fourth. Isn't that surprise?
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: That's too far back. I know that's my number one,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: but you're talking about sales though, selling you're selling best
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: selling candy. Yeah. Number six is candy corn Steve, thank
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: you Jesus. Number seven is an old favorite hot to Molly.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Number eight I know. Number Number eight though, is Tutsie pops. Wow. Okay, yeah,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Number fourhe wait, hold on. Number number nine the Sour
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Patch Kids. Number ten, Tommy, here you go, Hershey's Okay,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: thank you? What Sour Patch Kids is a hit? A Hershey? Yes,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: my daughter and her friends kids patch kids. Yeah, they
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: know those candies. Yeah. I was a chocolate kid from
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: the from a kid on up. I loved choca. Huh yeah,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I'm chocolate. Yeah. So so so sad about this, No,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: this is kids anything, Okay? But could you mix your
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: sweets though? Like I couldn't eat a candy bar with
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: with a solda. I couldn't do that. I don't like
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: mixing my sweets every day to get a hostess cherry
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: pat and a cold. No, you couldn't do that. Could
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: you put salt on your watermelon shirt? But no, no,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: sugar your grape fruit? You couldn't do that. Yeah, I
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: did that if I ever ate grapes, any any condiment
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: or anything. I didn't put sugar on two slices of bread.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Shut it and ate it? All right? Come, got more music,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: more fun on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll be
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: back in twenty minutes after the hour, right after visit.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: You're listening, all right? So Dave Chappelle received the Mark
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Twain Prize for American Humor Sunday night at the Kennedy

- 1:14:46Speaker 1: not more. He could be funny, Steve. He has done

- 1:14:59Speaker 1: lean on me. Oh he was was Shaw Shank redemptiondn't
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: come on now? That was so funny. Oh my god,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Joe Clark funniest. Oh my god, listen, I'm getting offended him,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: doctor Doll, change the enemy as hell. I'm really anyway,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Morgan Freeman is going to be there to pay tribute
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: to the legend that is Dave Chappelle. So congratulations to
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle and to Morgan Freeman. More of the Steve

- 1:15:50Speaker 1: right after this. I love you, Morgan. You're listening Steven Show.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: As we reported before, a number of five have firefighters
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: in California residents, they're on edge. Everyone is as a
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Kincaid and getty. Fires continue to rage. Hollywood stars are
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: among the thousands of residents forced to evacuate their homes
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: amid the blaze. Celebrity evacuees include Lebron, James, Arnold Schwarzenegger,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: and more, many of which are taking to social media
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: to share updates as they seek refuge. The stars are
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: thanking the best firefighters in the world for putting their
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: lives on the line to protect Californians from the blaze.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: That is correct, right there. Rolling power outages, which have
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: been ordered by Pacific Gas and Electric to reduce the
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: risk of more wildfires, is leaving close to one million
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: people in the dark. Whether conditions aren't expected to improve
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: for at least another couple of days, strong winds and
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: dry air will continue to fan the flames and we
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: are definitely praying for our neighbors in California's close. My
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: son's home had to be evacuated, and you know, yeah,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: he had to get out. It's way too It's just
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: a lot going home, man. But like I tell people
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: all time, it's property. You can get some old property
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: don't stay and try to fight no flames those ambers
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: with these winds, get out of there. That's what longers.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: We have a lot of sporadic fires because that wind
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: blow them ambers and the roof catch on fire and
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: the house next to it might not be, but then
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: they blow over a block over in that house on fire.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: We don't have enough firefighters to fight all this because
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: it containment is so so much. That's a blaze. So
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: please play pay attention, very very close attention to these
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: announcements of evacuation. Yeah, you lived in Texas, and you
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: know how we have flood insurance and that's all I
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: really know about because I grew up in Texas. Do
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: they have insurance for stuff like that? Yeah, yeah they have, Yeah,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: yeah they have fire. But you it's a lot of
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: people are having a real hard time in certain sections
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: collecting on the fire money. Uh, there's people suing. Yeah,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: it's a lot of people suing companies. I can't tell
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: you all the reasons why, but some people are are
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: very very slow and being told that they won't receive
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: benefits because you gotta excuse me, pay attention to what
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: type of fire that it is, because they you know,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: insurance companies are tricky, man. They have loopholes, so everybody
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: that helps right doesn't necessarily get it. Like I know
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: a part of the mine whose house caught on fire
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: because of the fires, but the ambers blew over and
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: his neighbor's house caught on fire, which caught his house
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: on fire. He was fighting to get the wild nature fire.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Whatever they have, I don't really know. I've never had
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: a lost the house by five. I don't really know.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: But not everybody. It's not automatic coverage, just like flooding
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: is not always you know, water damage is not always covered.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: You got to really know what type of coverage you have. Yeah,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: all right, coming up next, our last break of the
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: day and some closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: after this, you're listening, all right, Steve, Last break of
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the day, take us home with something good. Closing remarks.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I want to just talk to you about what it
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: really takes to make it, what it really takes to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: make it. Now. Look, I can, oh, you know, sit
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: here and tell you a bunch of stuff that you know,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: sound like I'm really into public speaking, and I know
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: all of what I'm talking about all is here in
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: YadA YadA YadA. But at the end of the day,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: what people really want is real simple things that they
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: can do to make it. People want to be successful, man,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: they really do. They don't. They don't want to not
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: know what it's like to be happy, to be free,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: to be successful. They they want a simpler How should
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I put this? They want somebody to explain it to
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: them and simplify it. That's what I'm trying to say. Well,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: guess what, I don't know if I'm the person that's
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: qualified to make it the simplest. But let me tell
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you what I do. Though, if you want to be
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: happy in this life, if you want to be successful,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: you're gonna have to develop a couple of things. Now,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: here's the thing that I want you to understand. Most
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: people have what it takes to be successful, but if
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: it does not start with the belief that you can
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: be successful, you can never bring out the qualities in
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: you of success. Listen to me again. Everyone has it
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: in them to be successful, but if you don't bring
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: them out, and that starts with the belief. If you
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: don't have the belief that you can be somebody, that
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: you're worthy, that you're qualified, that you're capable. If you
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: don't start with that basic belief, it can never happen.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: So first things first, In order to be successful and
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: happy in this world at whatever level you're talking about, happiness,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: success is for you, it has to start with the
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: belief that it is for you. I believe that I
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: should be successful. I believe that God wants me to
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: be prosperous. I believe that He comes to give you
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: life and give you life more abundantly. But you got
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to develop some things, man, And the way to develop
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: them is start with the belief and hang on to
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: the belief so strong that these attributes develop themselves. Resilience.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: If you believe hard enough that you can be successful,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: that you can be happy, it will automatically start to
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: cultivate this thing that's in all of us. It's called resilience.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: All y'all got it. Everybody got it. You are resilient people.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: All of us are resilient. Hell, if you can survive
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: the projects, you resil you. If you can survive public schools,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: you resili If you can survive walking through gang neighborhoods,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: because you still want education, you resili if you manage
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: to get yourself a high school diploma or a ged resilient.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: And the more belief you have, the more of these
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: attributes you can develop. You got to be tough. You
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: know how you get tough. You got to believe that
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you tough. You got to believe that you can hang
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: in now when all is against you. That's how you
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: get tough. You get tough because you keep facing the
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: test and you keep passing them. But all of that,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: you came past the tests unless you believe you can. Y'all,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: don't hear me. All of you have an inner strength.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Listen to me, man, Don't you know even a homeless
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: person has an inner strength? What is it that gets
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: a person to live under bridge or live in the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: refrigerator box, or live in some of these homeless encountments?
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: Do you know what really makes them live there? Because
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: they have an inner strength. It's still some fiber of
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: them that's telling them to hold on. Because if it wasn't,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: everybody would just get rid of their self. Everybody would
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: end it. But you know why people don't end it
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: because you really do have an inner strength. It takes
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: something to be homeless. Everybody can make a mistake man,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: and wind yourself up in a situation. For homeless people
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: have an inner strength. They have a toughness. It's tough
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: being homeless man. They have a resilience because for some
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: reason they just won't give up. And even though we
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: judge them when we're driving by, look at them sitting
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: on that corner just asking for money, they didn't gave up. No, no,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: it's another form of giving up. But I'm telling you,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: even in your darkest moments and your lowest points in
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: your life, you have resilience, toughness, inner strength. I got
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: news for you. It can help develop your faith because
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: if you believe hard enough. The Bible says that faith
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: is a substance of hope. For that simply means that
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: when how you develop faith, it's really the essence of
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: it's is hope. You remember when you was living, you
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: hope you got a bike for Christmas and you went
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: out there one year and the Christmas and the bike
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: was under the tree. You remember when you used to
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: hope you graduate from high school, you mess around and
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: got a diploma. Did you remember hoping one day you
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: get a job and now you're working Faith is a
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: substance of things hope for. But if you keep hoping
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: hard enough and believe that something can happen eventually, that
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: hope times in the faith. You got to have dreams
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: and visions so big that it dwarfs all your fears.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: This is how you make it. Hope. You got what
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: I'm saying today? All right, drop it, babies, drop it.
