- 1:48Speaker 1: got come come on your thing. Uh huh, I show
- 2:02Speaker 1: will good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show, man, Yeah, I do. Steve
- 2:14Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show because I can't tell it
- 2:19Speaker 1: to you any other way because God has been so
- 2:23Speaker 1: so very amazing to me. But the same God, and
- 2:29Speaker 1: there is but one that same God is. It can
- 2:35Speaker 1: and will be amazing in your life if you just
- 2:39Speaker 1: allow it to happen. You know. I was somewhere, you know,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and I was driving on the freeway somewhere, and I
- 2:47Speaker 1: saw bill board and it was a guy in a
- 2:54Speaker 1: field on his knees. And on this billboard it said
- 2:58Speaker 1: something to the act when when you've run out of answers,
- 3:06Speaker 1: try prayer. I was. I was going somewhere and I
- 3:11Speaker 1: don't even remember I go so much. Man. I was
- 3:15Speaker 1: just going somewhere and I saw this billboard and I
- 3:19Speaker 1: thought about that, And man, I cannot tell you how
- 3:25Speaker 1: true of a statement that is. When you've run out
- 3:29Speaker 1: of answers, when you don't know what to do, when
- 3:33Speaker 1: you feel weak, when you are at a low point,
- 3:38Speaker 1: when things just seem to keep happening to you, and
- 3:41Speaker 1: you don't understand why prayer is an amazing weapon. Prayer
- 3:48Speaker 1: is available to all of us. Here's a deal. You
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't have to go through the all of that you're
- 3:57Speaker 1: going through alone. See, and I'm talking to men, women, boys, girls, students, leaders, bosses, employees.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I don't care what's happening. I don't care what your
- 4:10Speaker 1: situation is. I don't care if your relationship is all
- 4:14Speaker 1: jacked up. I don't care if your kids and your
- 4:17Speaker 1: relationship is jacked up. I don't care if your relationship
- 4:22Speaker 1: at work is shot. Your coworkers seem to always make
- 4:26Speaker 1: you the buddy end of the joke. You always somebody
- 4:29Speaker 1: always talking about you behind your back. You're finding it
- 4:32Speaker 1: more and more necessary to try to hold your head
- 4:35Speaker 1: up and walk past these people when some days you
- 4:38Speaker 1: can't even get your chin up off your chest. If
- 4:42Speaker 1: you're a woman out there and you've been alone by
- 4:44Speaker 1: yourself for so long and you're just tired of being alone.
- 4:48Speaker 1: You really want a relationship, you really want to be
- 4:52Speaker 1: have a mate, you want to meet your soul mate,
- 4:55Speaker 1: whatever it is, whatever it is, prayer is the answer.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You are listening to a guy who is a direct
- 5:06Speaker 1: recipient of prayer. I can't tell you anything that I've
- 5:12Speaker 1: gotten out of that I didn't pray about. Oh, now,
- 5:17Speaker 1: there are a lot of things. Hold on, let me
- 5:19Speaker 1: backtrack a little bit. There are a lot of things
- 5:21Speaker 1: that have happened in my life that I've gotten past
- 5:25Speaker 1: without praying, because I think my Mamma was praying for me.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And then there's this thing that God has called grace
- 5:31Speaker 1: and mercy that he just somehow keeps us all waking
- 5:35Speaker 1: up every day without foot on some form or solid ground,
- 5:40Speaker 1: because He's just waiting on us to come to him.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But y'all, if you can implement prayer into your day
- 5:48Speaker 1: every single day, and I'm talking about put it in
- 5:52Speaker 1: there at the top of your day, put it in
- 5:55Speaker 1: there in middly your day, put it in there when
- 5:58Speaker 1: you close your day out, when you're sitting at your
- 6:01Speaker 1: desk and ain't nobody bothering you. That's a good time. Now. Look,
- 6:06Speaker 1: you don't have to make no scene. You ain't got
- 6:09Speaker 1: to let everybody know, Oh I'm spiritual, I love God
- 6:12Speaker 1: looking me, or I'm down or you ain't gotta do
- 6:14Speaker 1: none of that. Matter of fact, don't do it for
- 6:16Speaker 1: that reason, because if that's your reason for doing it,
- 6:19Speaker 1: that's gonna be your reward. If you want somebody to
- 6:22Speaker 1: just say, oh, they pray every you know, they pray
- 6:24Speaker 1: at lunch and they had a Bible on their desk
- 6:26Speaker 1: and they have a bunch of highlights in it. If
- 6:29Speaker 1: you're sitting it out there so people can see that
- 6:31Speaker 1: that's what you do, then that's gonna be your reward. Please, No,
- 6:35Speaker 1: that's gonna be your reward. What I want you to do,
- 6:40Speaker 1: it's pray. Ask God for the things the desires of
- 6:45Speaker 1: your heart, have a faith, believe in them. But pray earnestly. Man.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I mean, actually go at it with saying, hey, God,
- 6:56Speaker 1: listen to me. I can't do this without you. I
- 7:00Speaker 1: need your help. Listen, man, I know a lot of
- 7:04Speaker 1: people that pray. I know a lot of it. If
- 7:06Speaker 1: I told you the rich and famous that I talk
- 7:11Speaker 1: to that pray constantly. It would amaze you. Go talk
- 7:15Speaker 1: to God about it. Man. Matter of fact, you've already
- 7:18Speaker 1: got yourself into trouble. Go talk to God about it.
- 7:22Speaker 1: You can't see no way out. You're in a situation.
- 7:25Speaker 1: You're thinking about doing something straight crazy. Pump your brake's partner.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Slow down a little bit, my man, Slow down, don't don't.
- 7:34Speaker 1: All you're gonna do is make a situation worse. Go
- 7:37Speaker 1: over there today and talk to God. Talk to God
- 7:42Speaker 1: for real. Just and look, man, you know what. Man,
- 7:46Speaker 1: Sometimes I've gone to God and I've just said, Hey, God,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't have a clue. Matter of fact, I'm so
- 7:54Speaker 1: jacked up right now. God, I don't even really know
- 7:56Speaker 1: what to ask you for. I just need some help.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm so deep is some mess right now. Not only
- 8:04Speaker 1: can I not see the way out, I can't see
- 8:07Speaker 1: my way round. There's a there's a poem calling Victus,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and the opening line says, out of the night that
- 8:17Speaker 1: covers me black as a pit from pole to pole,
- 8:24Speaker 1: I thank God for whatever be from my unconquerable soul.
- 8:29Speaker 1: That this line is so deep. It starts off saying
- 8:34Speaker 1: I am in deep trouble. I'm in a pit, black
- 8:40Speaker 1: as a pit from pole to pole. I'm talking about man.
- 8:44Speaker 1: From over there to over there, it's pitch black and
- 8:51Speaker 1: and and man, that's man. You've been in that situation before, y'all,
- 8:57Speaker 1: because I have. I'm talking about black as a pit
- 9:01Speaker 1: from pole to pole. God is there, God is available.
- 9:08Speaker 1: God is always standing by. He just wants you to
- 9:13Speaker 1: come to him. See, he's been coming to you a
- 9:17Speaker 1: whole lot of times. He's presented himself. I can't tell
- 9:20Speaker 1: you how many times he's shown you how good a
- 9:23Speaker 1: god he is. He's given us all grace and mercy
- 9:26Speaker 1: without us asking for He's gotten you through some things.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And you look at him. Whoo, Man, I don't know
- 9:31Speaker 1: how to hell. Okay, that's cool. I'm cool. No no, no, no, no,
- 9:35Speaker 1: that wasn't cool. That was God. Pray man, when you
- 9:39Speaker 1: out of answers and you don't know what to do, Pray.
- 9:42Speaker 1: If you see some trouble coming, Pray if you already
- 9:45Speaker 1: got into it. Pray if you don't know the answers,
- 9:48Speaker 1: Pray if you can't see no way out, pray. Pray man,
- 9:51Speaker 1: Talk to God. Don't make a scene. Just talk to God.
- 9:55Speaker 1: All right, very important. You're listening. Show people. Get ready.
- 10:05Speaker 1: There's a train come in. You don't need no ticket.

- 20:59Speaker 1: you have any love for the Clo, please go to
- 21:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM dot com. All right, Steve, it sounds
- 21:04Speaker 1: like you're ready. This one is from Incognito in Oklahoma, says,
- 21:10Speaker 1: my husband is a security guard at a community college.
- 21:13Speaker 1: He recently busted two students smoking weed, and he took
- 21:16Speaker 1: the weed and reported them. He brought the weed home
- 21:19Speaker 1: and put it on his nightstand. I didn't know he
- 21:21Speaker 1: had to turn the weed into the school, so I
- 21:24Speaker 1: smoked it. Let he noticed the weed was gone. He
- 21:28Speaker 1: flipped out and said he could lose his job over this.
- 21:31Speaker 1: He searched all over the house. He knows I smoked,
- 21:35Speaker 1: but he never accused me of taking it. I hate
- 21:37Speaker 1: to see him this stressed out? Should I confess lose
- 21:45Speaker 1: his job? You confess and ain't gonna say the job?
- 21:48Speaker 1: You got to bassem damn weed and give it to
- 21:51Speaker 1: your husband. But you're too high to figure that out,
- 21:57Speaker 1: all damn. But he doesn't smoke, and she she thought
- 22:09Speaker 1: he did, brought the pinch off the top of the damn. Wow.
- 22:21Speaker 1: She's greedy, all right, So buy your man some more weed,
- 22:26Speaker 1: all right? Moving on, Santania in Evanston, Illinois, says I'm
- 22:31Speaker 1: a live music junkie and I've always loved drummers. Two
- 22:35Speaker 1: Saturdays ago, my boyfriend and I want to hear a
- 22:38Speaker 1: band and I locked eyes with the drummer and we
- 22:41Speaker 1: flirted all night. I managed to slip him my business
- 22:44Speaker 1: card before we left, and he called me the next day.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I met him for lunch on a Tuesday, and right
- 22:50Speaker 1: after we were seated, my boyfriend appeared out of nowhere
- 22:55Speaker 1: and sat with us. My boyfriend and the drummer are
- 22:59Speaker 1: co workers, so it was a setup, and my boyfriend
- 23:02Speaker 1: dumped me. It's cool though, Yeah, it's cool though, because
- 23:07Speaker 1: I want the drummer. Do you think I stand a
- 23:09Speaker 1: chance with him now? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah,
- 23:13Speaker 1: you're gonna get the drummer. That's all you're gonna get
- 23:15Speaker 1: as a Drummer's right, You're gonna get beat and then
- 23:19Speaker 1: that's gonna be it. He gonna beat you because that's
- 23:23Speaker 1: what drummers do, and then that's gonna be it. It
- 23:28Speaker 1: was a setup. They was co workers. You got busted.
- 23:31Speaker 1: That's okay. You want to drum anyway, going and go
- 23:34Speaker 1: for the drummer, but you're about to find the trick
- 23:37Speaker 1: dudes is dudes is real tricky. When they're real boys.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You need to get off them. Damn drummers. I mean,
- 23:44Speaker 1: if you just have to have a drummer and open
- 23:47Speaker 1: up yourself up the piano players horns, dude, Yeah, that's
- 23:55Speaker 1: kind of crazy. No, you don't stand a chance with him.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Car Lisa and Make in Georgia. I've been married for
- 24:02Speaker 1: a year and I moved into my husband's home after
- 24:05Speaker 1: the wedding. I noticed he had a lot of female
- 24:08Speaker 1: clothing and coats in a basement closet. He told me
- 24:11Speaker 1: they belonged to his ex and she moved out of
- 24:14Speaker 1: state and needed to store a few things temporarily. I
- 24:17Speaker 1: put all of her stuff in a big plastic bin
- 24:19Speaker 1: and I told him I need her address. He said
- 24:23Speaker 1: I can't send them to her because that's rude, and
- 24:26Speaker 1: he promised to keep them for her. I know he
- 24:29Speaker 1: loves me, but should I worry about his loyalty to
- 24:31Speaker 1: his ex? What? Well, it's not no loyalty. It's just
- 24:36Speaker 1: that he's got a little bit mixed up. Because if
- 24:39Speaker 1: he thinks he's been to live in that house in
- 24:42Speaker 1: peace with her clothes, damn basement, he's sadly mistaken. Your
- 24:49Speaker 1: job is to give him nothing but pure hell clones
- 24:55Speaker 1: until they go. And I want all the fellows to
- 24:58Speaker 1: know I'm not telling them nothing they ain't gonna do anyway.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Ain't always tell me the wrong thing. No, this is
- 25:05Speaker 1: what they gonna do any damn way. We already knew this.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I applaud her so hard for packing them up and
- 25:12Speaker 1: sending them to her, wanting to do that. Oh yeah, no, no, no, no,
- 25:16Speaker 1: she gots to get out of here. Now he's gonna
- 25:18Speaker 1: tell her he'd keep them. No, pardoner, Uh, I got
- 25:23Speaker 1: what you're saying, But this guys to got to Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I know he loves me, but should I worry about
- 25:32Speaker 1: his loyalty to his death? It's not loyalty to her.
- 25:36Speaker 1: He just g is something as a favor. He thinks
- 25:39Speaker 1: he's being honorable about doing what he said he gonna do.
- 25:43Speaker 1: But it cannot be at the expense of you. No,
- 25:46Speaker 1: mister Pard, he's missing right, that's exactly right, Steve. He said,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I can't his wife, can't send them to her because
- 25:53Speaker 1: that's rude. Okay, well we're about to be rude. Yeah,
- 25:59Speaker 1: I'm the new man, so and so, and hear your
- 26:01Speaker 1: sugar hunted iced tea, right, And then the husband said
- 26:07Speaker 1: he promised to keep them for her. What you have
- 26:12Speaker 1: at where you got? Yeah, you promise? Yeah, thank you.
- 26:21Speaker 1: This is my house. Now if we can mail which
- 26:24Speaker 1: one you want to do? You want to mail it,
- 26:26Speaker 1: burn it how you want to do. I wouldn't have
- 26:31Speaker 1: you look running this. Yeah, baby, what is that in
- 26:42Speaker 1: the fireplace? Cloth? Clothes? They want my clothes? Yeah? All
- 26:48Speaker 1: that smoke? Why smell that perfume? In her? Help? Close? Promise.
- 26:57Speaker 1: But this is a red flag though, because he doesn't
- 26:59Speaker 1: see that. You know, this is the red flag. He said,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I can't send them to her because that's rude. And
- 27:04Speaker 1: I promised that's the red flag. Your husband should never
- 27:07Speaker 1: say that to you about another woman. Come on, get
- 27:13Speaker 1: him out of it in the morning. That's the only
- 27:14Speaker 1: promise you need to be. Yeah, yeah, that's not cool,
- 27:18Speaker 1: not cool at all. All right, for some clothes and
- 27:24Speaker 1: bring them in there so you have okay, all right, Junior.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Oh that's Jimmy's jacket. I promise I we're keeping Yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 1: and you can't handle this because that's rude. Now checking now,
- 27:42Speaker 1: who started the fire? Jimmy the coke, get your jacking

- 52:36Speaker 1: All right, Steve, get ready. Subject roaches are a deal
- 52:40Speaker 1: breaker for me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I need your help.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I am twenty seven years old and I have lived
- 52:46Speaker 1: with my fiance for two years. We bought our first
- 52:50Speaker 1: house together and everything was great until recently when my
- 52:54Speaker 1: fiance's brother moved in with us temporarily. His brother is
- 52:58Speaker 1: going through a divorce and he has lived with everyone
- 53:01Speaker 1: in the family. He's worn out as welcome everywhere, so
- 53:04Speaker 1: I didn't mind him staying with us for a couple
- 53:06Speaker 1: of weeks till he got on his feet. A couple
- 53:08Speaker 1: of weeks have turned into two months, and I want
- 53:11Speaker 1: him out of our house. He is the nastiest man
- 53:15Speaker 1: I have ever seen. Our guest bedroom smells like dirty
- 53:19Speaker 1: clothes and feet when I walked by it. He hasn't
- 53:22Speaker 1: watched his clothes since he's been at our house, and
- 53:25Speaker 1: he takes showers twice a week. I hate it when
- 53:28Speaker 1: he's in the kitchen because he leaves it a mess.
- 53:31Speaker 1: The final straw was last week when I peeked in
- 53:35Speaker 1: his room and saw styrofoam containers by his bed with
- 53:39Speaker 1: old molded food and crumbs everywhere. But that's not the
- 53:43Speaker 1: worst part. Stephen Shirley. There was a family of baby
- 53:47Speaker 1: roaches on the nightstand, just feasting on all of the crumbs.
- 53:53Speaker 1: I shrieked so loudly that my fiance ran in to
- 53:57Speaker 1: check on me. I do not keep a nasty house
- 54:00Speaker 1: and we have never had roaches. I told my fiance
- 54:04Speaker 1: that his brother had to go, and he told me
- 54:06Speaker 1: to calm down because he would handle the situation. I
- 54:11Speaker 1: want this man and his roaches out of my house.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I know that this man doesn't have anywhere else to go.
- 54:18Speaker 1: That's not my problem. My fiance has questioned my family
- 54:22Speaker 1: loyalty and told me it is a deal breaker for marriage.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I was shocked and thought, maybe I need to reconsider
- 54:29Speaker 1: marrying him too, if he thinks it's okay for his
- 54:31Speaker 1: family to abuse our new home. Am I being unreasonable?
- 54:35Speaker 1: Please advise? No, you're not being unreasonable, not at all.
- 54:42Speaker 1: You said we bought our first house together, so it's
- 54:45Speaker 1: your house too. And why should you have to put
- 54:48Speaker 1: up with this or his nasty brother if he has
- 54:52Speaker 1: a nerve to question your family loyalty because you don't
- 54:55Speaker 1: want to live with roaches. Yes, ma'am, you should absolutely
- 54:59Speaker 1: reconsider carrying him. Question him why why is it okay
- 55:03Speaker 1: for him to live with roaches? Now we all know
- 55:06Speaker 1: why his brother is getting a divorce. His wife probably
- 55:10Speaker 1: couldn't take it anymore either. U and when when is
- 55:14Speaker 1: your when is your fiance going to say something to
- 55:16Speaker 1: his brother. When is he going to say to him
- 55:18Speaker 1: about leaving? You clearly said in the letter that that
- 55:21Speaker 1: your fiance said he was going to handle it. Well
- 55:24Speaker 1: when if not now? When if the roaches don't do it?
- 55:28Speaker 1: I mean, if the molded food and the containers and
- 55:31Speaker 1: the and the stinky smell coming out of the room
- 55:33Speaker 1: and all of that, if that didn't make him go
- 55:36Speaker 1: handle it, roaches won't make him go handle it. I mean, really, uh,
- 55:43Speaker 1: is your fiance okay with roaches? That's what you need
- 55:46Speaker 1: to reconsider because this whole letter U the brother has
- 55:50Speaker 1: worn out his welcome with the rest of his family members.
- 55:53Speaker 1: You were being nice, okay, So so no more, mister
- 55:56Speaker 1: nice guy. Now you all need to talk about this.
- 55:59Speaker 1: It needs to all be out in the open. He
- 56:01Speaker 1: needs to find somewhere else to go, and your fiance
- 56:05Speaker 1: needs to handle it. And again, this is your house too,
- 56:08Speaker 1: so you have every right to speak up. Steve. Well, well, well,
- 56:14Speaker 1: roaches our deal break up for me. This lady's twenty
- 56:19Speaker 1: seven live with a fiance. Two years they finally bought
- 56:22Speaker 1: their first house together. Everything was going good until your
- 56:26Speaker 1: fiance his brother moved in. His brother's going through a
- 56:30Speaker 1: divorce and his live with everyone in the family. He's
- 56:33Speaker 1: worn out his welcome everywhere, so I didn't mind him
- 56:36Speaker 1: staying with us for a couple of weeks till he
- 56:38Speaker 1: got on his feet. Excuse me, let's back up. You
- 56:41Speaker 1: don't mind him staying with y'all for a couple of weeks,
- 56:45Speaker 1: but everybody else he'd wore out his welcome everywhere, so
- 56:50Speaker 1: I didn't mind him staying right there. If you don't war,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you're welcome out everywhere. I'm not gonna say I don't
- 56:57Speaker 1: mind him staying with us for a couple of weeks
- 56:59Speaker 1: till he got on his feet, because you know what happened.
- 57:01Speaker 1: A couple of weeks to turn into two months, and
- 57:04Speaker 1: I want him out of our house. This is the
- 57:08Speaker 1: nastiest man I've ever seen. Our guest room smells like
- 57:10Speaker 1: dirty clothes and feet when I walked by. See that's
- 57:15Speaker 1: Let me tell you something about feet. That's a hard
- 57:18Speaker 1: smell to walk fast. Feet grab. Let me tell you something.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Here's something their feet grab you. Let me tell you something.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Feet funk is actually got hands on it. It grabs you,
- 57:35Speaker 1: It knocks you down, it shakes you to wake you up.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Feet funk actually got hands. I don't matter. Then he's
- 57:46Speaker 1: one out as welcome to our minds. Stand with us.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Two weeks to turn into two months. He's nasty, the
- 57:54Speaker 1: bare room smell. He ain't washed it clothes since he's
- 57:57Speaker 1: been at our house. He's been that two months. He
- 58:00Speaker 1: ain't washing nothing. You ain't seen a piece of larger
- 58:04Speaker 1: ain't nobody got two months worth of draws. I'm gonna
- 58:07Speaker 1: tell you this right now. Nobody has two months supply
- 58:12Speaker 1: or draw. Nobody. You just got sixty pair of drawn.
- 58:20Speaker 1: No one has two months or draw. You might have
- 58:26Speaker 1: two months of savings, you might have two months worth
- 58:31Speaker 1: of gas in your car. You might have two months
- 58:34Speaker 1: worth for groceries, but you ain't gotten it's two months
- 58:39Speaker 1: of drawls. Ain't no damn draw. It's probably with them drawls.
- 58:43Speaker 1: That's that, ain't feat that's something else you're smelling when
- 58:48Speaker 1: you go by. Yeah, all right, Steve, listen up. Part
- 58:55Speaker 1: two of your response coming up in twenty three minutes
- 58:57Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this roaches our deal breaker
- 59:01Speaker 1: for me. You're listening, all right? Come on, Steve, let's
- 59:07Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letter. You were just getting into it,
- 59:11Speaker 1: really good too. Subject roaches are a deal breaker from me.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Twenty seven year old lady been in fiance with this
- 59:17Speaker 1: man for two years. They had lived together, they bought
- 59:20Speaker 1: their first house. His brother got in trouble going through
- 59:23Speaker 1: a divorce. He's lived with everybody in the family. The
- 59:26Speaker 1: water is welcome, so I didn't mind him staying with
- 59:29Speaker 1: us for a couple of weeks till he got on
- 59:30Speaker 1: his feet. Two weeks turned into two months, and you
- 59:33Speaker 1: want him out. He is a nastiest man I've ever seen.
- 59:36Speaker 1: The guest room smells like dirty clothes and feet when
- 59:38Speaker 1: I walked by. That's probably something else that ain't just feet.
- 59:44Speaker 1: He ain't washed clothes since he's been in our house.
- 59:46Speaker 1: And he takes showers twice a week. As what we're
- 59:49Speaker 1: talking about. See that week when you take a shower
- 59:53Speaker 1: twice a week. Let me tell you the psychology behind
- 59:56Speaker 1: people take showers twice a week. They don't like showers,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: and they try to avoid them until they can't stand
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: They damned self that all the guests. How I have
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: to go on in here? I tried sitting here, but
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I can't take me no more. So that's the problem.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: He hasn't watched his clothes since he's been there, take
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: showers twice week. I hate him when the kitchen because
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: he leaves a mess. You you're just describing a tratefully person.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Found the straw was when I peeked in his room
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: and I saw style from containers buys bad with old
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: molded food and crumbs everywhere. But here the worst part,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Stephen Sherley, that was a family that I want y'all
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: listen to this line. That was a family. A baby
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: roaches on the night stand, just feasting on all the crumbs. Lady, lady,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: you got to really start thinking about getting out this
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: damn house. When you see baby and roaches in the
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: daytime out and legally snacking on something on a nice stand,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: crawled up the back of a nice stand, went back
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: down there and got his friends and came back. Come on,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: when you start seeing baby roaches, you can't count roaches
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: that's in that house. Once you see baby roaches, you
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: got to set that house on fire. You got the
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Brandes damn house down and try to get an insurance
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: claim and make it look like it was something else.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: You have no idea how many damn roaches is in there,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: roaches and deal breaker. Roaches is a deal breaker for
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: most people. I'd have broke up with people over roaches. Yeah,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: see that happened myself. Then when you saw the rock,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you screamed so loud your fiance ran in the check
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: on me. I don't keep a nasty house where you
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: do now because you move funking here that he wants to.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Let's just use it for all time. Say, let's just
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: use it the radio name of one of my favorite
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: DJs of all time, Funky lad shout out. But I'm
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: just using Funky Larry as an acronym to use to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: the man that's in now and you walk past this
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: doing it smell like feet? That ain't feat lady. When
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: a man's showers twice a week and you walked past
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: his room and you smell what you thank his feet?
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Let me clear this up for you. Feet has a
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: similar smell to an ass from a distance. Wait wait, wait,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: wait thou say that he has a very similar smell
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: to ass from a distance. Can't you can't tell which
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: they something? You don't know which one is which, Like
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: if somebody old name, but if somebody over that by
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: and you over here by the dough. When you walk
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: by the dough, it has lost its pungency and has
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: taken on the tone of bad feet. As clearly, I
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: want you to understand what that is. Okay, let's just
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: be the lesson from it here. It is. Listen to
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: let me teach it to you. Older of feet has
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: the same smell as as from a distance would see it.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: If you old your butt and you take off your
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: gym shoe, that's been in your foot, been in it
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: for two days. He ain't showered for two days. He
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: took this gym shoe off and has been in there
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: for two days. If you smell it up close, it's
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: just like somebody's but twelve feet away, it's the same thing.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Now the roaches is drawn to that. But and feet
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: to a roach is the equivalent of lemon marangue. What yeah,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: But and feet to a roach is lemon moraine to
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: a human. I'm just all right enough enough. Post your
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: comments please on Today's Strawberry Letter and Steve Harvey f
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: andre and Instagram and Facebook. Don't forget to check out
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast. Down to man, you're listening, all right?
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Come on, Steve introducer, you're your best friend. Let's go,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown just got here. No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: You're going to do better than that. We've been friends
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: way too low. Put some put some sauce in that.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Put some sauce on my name than some sauceman, Thank
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: you without further ado, the living myth and legend that
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: damn Jay Anthony the Brown. Okay, can we just run
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: that every week because I know I'm not gonna be
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: able to get you to do you're again. Okay, Yeah,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: they've marked that and saved that. Okay, because all right
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: here we go. What's in the mind of yours Shuli,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown. It is the holidays. I'm talking to
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: the grandparents. I'm talking to the aunts, the uncles, the aunties,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: the older people who are buying gifts for these kids,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: probably the very first time. Now a lot of us
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: will give cash. That's cool, and a lot of us
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: don't know what to buy. I don't know what to buy,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: but I know what not to buy. I know what
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: you shouldn't try to give a child because they ain't
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: gonna want it. If your ass is wrapping up a
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: yoyo right now, stop what you're doing. Okay, Stop it.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Don't nobody stop it. Don't nobody want to damn yo yo, Okay,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: nobody wants that. If you went out and purchased or
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: hula hoo with good intentions or hula hoo, they they
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: don't know what the hell it is as soon as
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: you wrap that damn thing up and they don't want it. Okay.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: You can keep all these old ass board games, sorry,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Monopoly operation. Don'ttbody want them damn games. Okay, think about it.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: When the last time your ass played Monopoly, you ain't
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: played long long damn pick give it to the child.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: And here's something very important. Don't make a damn thing.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Don't make anything. If you're knitting, knit one pearl, to
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: knit one pearl, to knit one stop knitting. Don't nobody
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: want them thick ass demmittens. No nobody with that thick
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: ass sweater and that stop running neck and you get
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: a cramp in your damn neck. Don't nobody want that.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Stop knitting, stop right now. Don't bake a damn thing
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: to send those things. Don't hold up in the middle.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: And last for not les, if you're building a dollhouse,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: then stop it. Stop right now. You bid seven hundred
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: pound doll house. It ain't got no floors in it.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: The ceiling is like so high. All you got is
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: stuff down on the bottom, the windows away at the top.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Don't know, child, want that? Stop building? Okay, these are
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: my holiday tips. Don't build a damn Thing's just a
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: dog house. That's what you're building, a damn dog I'm done,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I'm finished, all right, thank you, Jay, Merry Christmas. You're
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: listening to show. All right, guys, as promised, the ignorance continues.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Time now for comedy roulettes. Jay, just set it up
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: just a little bit so well. You know it's the
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: news you have never heard it before. You take four subjects.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: You put the subjects on a spinning wheel, spin it around,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: wed stop at we will do the damn thing all right. Here.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: It is things you will hear from people trying to
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: get a zoom. Okay, I like that. That's my mom
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: used to leave sweet potato pie. This is foods people
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: leave for Santa Claus. Oh all right. And the last
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: the last one is something and else might complain about something,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: and elf might complain about all right, I like it
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: all right, spote spot time it's been the wheel something
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: zoo yah, my mom said, potato pie. Oh it's okay.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: It's didn't stop on that one. It stopped on something
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: and else might complain about it. All right, come on
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: you right away, look at Santa can let you look
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: at it. We need new uniforms now. All the other
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: companies are going straight T shirts and pants. We got
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: on vest we these these little show has pants. Man,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: these hats. Why can't we go straight to T shirts
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: and pants? That's what we need to do. Ain't on
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: the T shirt and pants. That's what they opened. Complain
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: about something something that else might complained about. Hey, hey,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: tell them rain that it ain't that damn special. Hey listen,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: let's something else might complain about. Listen, sound these tarlets
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: is way too high. I can't pay up there. I can't.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I can't. I can't get it up there. I can't. Okay,

- 1:11:21Speaker 1: hating el Hey, you know what something that elf might

- 1:11:36Speaker 1: got to put someone. We're gonna have to put something
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: on this nose. I can't get my book on. Come here,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: he comes like coming to roulette. Something and elf might
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: complain about. Look, I'm gonna just say it because I

- 1:13:10Speaker 1: I mean, can't we get a little magic seated Christmas autist?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Thank you guys. That was comedy Roulette. You're listening to show,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: all right. So, along with fastening your seatbelt and placing
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: your seat in an upright position, flight cruise always ask
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: us to put our cell phones in airplane mode before takeoff. Well,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: come to find out, only forty percent of passengers actually
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: do it. The FAA believes that cell phones may interfere
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: with the cockpit takeoff, during takeoff and landing, but there
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: are no real studies to prove if this is true
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: or not. So Steve, I gotta ask you, do you
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: do you put your cell phone? Uh in airplane mode
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: on your jet? Do you do that? No? I don't
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: put my phone on airplane old on commercial flight. I'm
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: you're part of the problem. You are heart of the problem.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Why not let everybody else put theirs on airplane mode?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: And we do? And I ain't yeh something that is happening.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I got to be able to call somebody. Yeah, no,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you know consciously like Okay, for example, let's say an
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: incident breaks out on the plane. Let's say somebody is
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: up there doing something illegal. I need to call police somebody.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: You ain't got no servance up that boy? Okay, see one,

- 1:19:39Speaker 1: We've made it through. So let's have a very merry
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Christmas E list with boys a better two thousand and
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: twenty three. You guys be glad. Hey Steve, this is
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Jet by way of New York coming down to Florida.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Give a shout out and have married Christmas to my wife.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Her name is Hosanna to the highest. Give her some pizza.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Love for me and pizza love you and the family. Hello,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: this is Books from barn Well, South Carolina. I would
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: like to say happy holiday to my family, my husband Lamar,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: and my kids and grandkids and my sisters. Thank you
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: very great sad. All right, Steve, here we are our
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day. Huh.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: It's time Steve for your clothing. All right, let's go.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I got something I want to shield with you. I
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: think what happens to a lot of people, it has
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: happened to me in my life, and so that's how
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: I know how effective it is. One of the major
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: contributors to failure. One of the major causes of a
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: person's inability to all to propel themselves into the life
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: that God has for them is because they keep hanging
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: on to their past. That's a very very dangerous thing
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: to do to do. You know. Now, we have a
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: lot of things in this world that tries to make
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: us hold on to it like it's noticeable. You know,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: don't forget where you from, you know, uh, keep it real,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: you know, you know, just just just items of that nature.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: But I want you to what I'm trying to get
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you to understand is once you move past something, it
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: is in your best interests to let it go. You
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: have to let it go because when you hang on
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: to things of the past, it impedes your progress. If
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you really want to go, you're gonna have to let
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: something go. You cannot be as fast as you can
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: be with a bunch of deadweight hanging on to you.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: You have got to let it go. Here's the situation.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: So many people spend so much time in the past
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: that they don't have the proper balance to plan, anticipate,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: and build the hopes and visions and dreams for their future.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Stay out of the pass. It's nothing back there that
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: you can do anything about, nothing about it at all.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: There's not a single decision you can make that can
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: change yesterday. There's not a moment of worry that you
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: can have that can change what happened last week, when
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you were a baby, when you were a little girl,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: when you got laid off, when you got fired, when
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: your relationship ended, when you had the baby. Nothing you
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: can do today can have one order of an effect
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: on your pass. So why are we spending so much
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: time there when we clearly have a future to get to?
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Let it go? Stay out of the pass. Backwards makes
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: it real hard to go forward. If you put your
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: car in reverse, I am telling you you're gonna have
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: one heck of a time to get that car to
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: go forward. I don't care what you do. And now,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: what you can try to do is you can throw
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: your car reverse and turn it around and try to
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: go backwards in the direction that your car was supposed
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: to go. But ain't that hard to drive backwards at
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: full speed? It's hard to back up. Going at a
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: decent speed backwards makes it really hard to go forward.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Y'all constantly reviewing things, don't leave a lot of time
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: for planning. You know, have you ever been to an
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: office meeting? And I ain't been to one? And O god,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I can't remember when. But he used to kill me. Man.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I had this job and this dude worked at an
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: insurance company and every three days he wanted to come
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: into the middle of the room and go, hey, listen,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: we want to review a few things. I never understood
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: these reviews. We kept doing because in order for the
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: company to make money, we got to out here selling
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: these policies. But this guy was so dead set on reviews, reviews, reviews, reviews, reviews,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: And while we could have been out working, selling, promoting
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: and generating revenue, we spend our time reviewing. And it
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: just I go, Man, I just sit thak o man.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I wanted to do let this go, but he wanted
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: to hear himself, and he wanted to make sure that
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: he was protecting us from the mistakes of the past
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: by reviewing them all the time. He didn't realize, but
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: half the time he was ingraining past behavior into people's
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: subconscious And I was thinking about that today. I said, Man,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: could that be what happens to a lot of people
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: that you ingrained so much of your previous behavior in
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: your life because you meditate on the past so much,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: and now it's ingrained in your behavior, and you don't
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: even give yourself a chance to become a new you,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: don't give yourself a chance to think like a new you.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: You got to let it go. Stay out of the pass, y'all.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Let it go. It's hard to go backwards. It's hard.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: Backwards makes it really really hard to go forward. Give
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: yourself a shot. Stay out of the pass. Ask God
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: to help you accomplish your dreams and your visions. Set
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: some goals, and wake up every day and ask God
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: to give you your daily friend. That's the best way
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: to live your life. Those are my closing remarks today.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Thank y'all for listening today. For all Steve Harvey contests,
