- 0:17Speaker 1: it's not true. Good Steve hastening to mother for Steve,

- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn out. Then the water, the water. Come Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your baby, daddy, h I shall will come morning.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Everybody you are listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Man o man o, man Hey, you know to date,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I just want to say something um that I don't
- 2:24Speaker 1: think I've ever shared this way before. The title is
- 2:32Speaker 1: very simple, and that is it's been worth it to me,
- 2:40Speaker 1: you know. I just I just kept thinking that this morning,
- 2:46Speaker 1: that it's all been worth it to me. And what
- 2:50Speaker 1: I mean by that is this relationship that I have
- 2:54Speaker 1: with my heavenly father, it's been worth it to me.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I can't even tell you the value that it has
- 3:05Speaker 1: had in my life. I can't tell you how it's
- 3:12Speaker 1: helped me to understand not only my purpose, but to
- 3:19Speaker 1: better understand my past that's that's that's critical, man, because
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm grateful for that, because so many people can't get
- 3:31Speaker 1: beyond their past and event a set of circumstances, some
- 3:37Speaker 1: calamity that besets them. Maybe it's been grief something, but
- 3:41Speaker 1: it ties so many people up. It's been so worth
- 3:46Speaker 1: it to me it, man, it's it's been worth having
- 3:54Speaker 1: someone to go to when no one else was there.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Do you do you understand what I'm saying. It has
- 4:04Speaker 1: It has given me a place to go when no
- 4:08Speaker 1: one else has been there. Oh, hey man, we're pulling
- 4:14Speaker 1: for you. Hey man, hanging there, hey man, keep your
- 4:17Speaker 1: head up all of that. But I gotta tell you, man,
- 4:23Speaker 1: you get yourself in some circumstances and situations in this
- 4:26Speaker 1: thing called life when no one can help you but God,
- 4:31Speaker 1: When the only person that can possibly understand or know
- 4:34Speaker 1: what you're feeling is God. The only person that I'll
- 4:38Speaker 1: sit there with you through it all and understand everything
- 4:42Speaker 1: about it has been God. It's been worth it to me, man,
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's it's been worth it to me. It's been the
- 4:54Speaker 1: biggest improvement in my life. I mean, man, as I
- 4:58Speaker 1: look back over my life and forming a strong bond
- 5:03Speaker 1: with God, has been the most beneficial thing to me.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You know, these things you read in your in your
- 5:12Speaker 1: in your in in writings in the Bible or or
- 5:16Speaker 1: whatever you're reading. You know, when you when you read
- 5:18Speaker 1: scriptures and things of that nature. It it's it's been
- 5:23Speaker 1: around a long time. It holds so much truth to it.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I mean, man, it's like, how could this have been
- 5:32Speaker 1: written so long ago and still pertain directly to today?
- 5:40Speaker 1: I mean that that's amazing. That is amazing to me that.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean, that has to be God at work to
- 5:48Speaker 1: have written something so complete, so dead on point that
- 5:56Speaker 1: if you read it today it means exactly what pertains
- 6:03Speaker 1: to today. That's amazing, man. That's why my spiritual walk
- 6:11Speaker 1: it's just worth it to me. And I keep saying
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's worth it, because if you're sitting out there and
- 6:17Speaker 1: you're tripping, like I was tripping, deciding, now let me
- 6:21Speaker 1: do it. I got a few more things I want
- 6:23Speaker 1: to do, a couple more girls. I want to hoil at,
- 6:25Speaker 1: couple more things I want to get into. I got
- 6:27Speaker 1: a couple more deals I want to do. I got
- 6:29Speaker 1: a little bit more dirt. I want to roll up
- 6:30Speaker 1: on me a little bit. First, for while man, I
- 6:33Speaker 1: wish I had known. I really wish I had understood
- 6:37Speaker 1: exactly what forming a relationship with God would do for me.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's been worth every person who out there who hate
- 6:47Speaker 1: on me, that don't even know me, it's because I
- 6:51Speaker 1: have a relationship with Him that I'm fine with that,
- 6:55Speaker 1: or I don't care for it. But it ain't gonna
- 6:57Speaker 1: stop me though. See, because I know for a fact
- 7:03Speaker 1: that haters make you greater. I know for a fact
- 7:07Speaker 1: that haters validate your mere existence. I know for a
- 7:12Speaker 1: fact that half of them is out of envy and
- 7:15Speaker 1: jealousy because of something you're doing that they wish they
- 7:19Speaker 1: could do or they won't credit for, so they just
- 7:24Speaker 1: anything all that bam and now you just all over
- 7:27Speaker 1: the place with people. Man, I'm so grateful for this
- 7:31Speaker 1: relationship that it has not allowed outside influences that do
- 7:37Speaker 1: not have my best interests at hard to throw me off. Course.
- 7:42Speaker 1: It has just been worth it. And if you're sitting
- 7:45Speaker 1: out there and you're wondering about the benefits of it,
- 7:50Speaker 1: I can't even tell you what it's like to know
- 7:54Speaker 1: that when bad things are happening to me, the calming
- 7:57Speaker 1: piece that I feel that I know that that's gonna
- 8:01Speaker 1: be all right too. That I know that this tool
- 8:05Speaker 1: shall pass. That I know in my heart of hearts, man,
- 8:09Speaker 1: that there's got to be a reason for this. And
- 8:11Speaker 1: if I can just hang on in there, he gonna
- 8:14Speaker 1: unfold that from me and he gonna let me see it.
- 8:17Speaker 1: But the number one thing I always know is I'm
- 8:19Speaker 1: gonna survive this one too, that this tool shall pass.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It has been worth it to me, man, to have
- 8:27Speaker 1: this thing called faith, which is the belief in things
- 8:30Speaker 1: that you cannot see, and to know man along the
- 8:33Speaker 1: way that, oh, my goodness, man, even though I don't
- 8:37Speaker 1: know who's next, or even I'm not really sure about
- 8:40Speaker 1: the next step, I do know for a fact that
- 8:44Speaker 1: some mooe is coming. I do know for a fact.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It is a fact that God will take care of me.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It is a fact that he will never ever leave
- 8:56Speaker 1: me or desert me. If I just stay here while
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be. He's coming, The Calvary's coming over
- 9:03Speaker 1: the hill. He coming over the hill, and when he
- 9:05Speaker 1: come over that hill, he gonna wipe out all this
- 9:08Speaker 1: mess down here. That's that's trying to hurt me, That
- 9:11Speaker 1: that I don't have to worry about my enemies anymore
- 9:14Speaker 1: that my enemies that are all around you can surround me.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You can shoot all the arrows you want. That's not
- 9:23Speaker 1: to say that none of them ain't gonna come close.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And I ain't gonna say that, you know, I ain't
- 9:29Speaker 1: gonna be a little under some pressure, a little nervous
- 9:31Speaker 1: about being shot at so hard. But at the end
- 9:34Speaker 1: of the day, I know this for show. Ain't none
- 9:36Speaker 1: of them gonna stick in me. You could shoot them,
- 9:39Speaker 1: but ain't none of them gonna stick in me. No
- 9:42Speaker 1: matter what you do, no weapon formed against me. Nothing
- 9:49Speaker 1: you can't. You can't do nothing with me. Man, I'm
- 9:52Speaker 1: so cool. It's been worth it for me. Man, you're
- 9:56Speaker 1: listening to ladies and gentlemen, The Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 10:05Speaker 1: is coming home with a new tone, with a sense
- 10:09Speaker 1: of accomplishment, with a little bit light of heart. This morning,
- 10:14Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show is, in the words of
- 10:18Speaker 1: LTD back in Love. I getting mixed in most Sean
- 10:26Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Steve Harvey Morning Show all together. Charley
- 10:32Speaker 1: Strawberry calling for real that damn Junior, I have a
- 10:35Speaker 1: name for you. I've invented, and nephew tommy morning, every
- 10:39Speaker 1: day morning, everybody. Yeah, what's happening in the glow man? Yep,
- 10:47Speaker 1: still work to be done. But back asking him, I
- 10:49Speaker 1: didn't got a can in it. I'm loving it many
- 10:54Speaker 1: a turning point his whole absolutely, And um, you know
- 11:01Speaker 1: we were we were kind of you know. The three
- 11:03Speaker 1: other officers that were standing by doing nothing, they go
- 11:07Speaker 1: on trial in August. Yeah, and Carla gave me the
- 11:15Speaker 1: Carlin gave me the charges that they're faced with aiding
- 11:18Speaker 1: and a betting. Uh huh? And is it second degree murder?
- 11:23Speaker 1: Second degree murder and manslaughter? Yes, something to So they
- 11:28Speaker 1: got three counts two all they I didn't know that, Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 1: uh not, not all of them are a serious as uh.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Chauvin's right, But I know at least they're going to
- 11:41Speaker 1: get aiding in a bedding. I know they'll get that,
- 11:45Speaker 1: but I don't I don't know about the other two. Carla, Yes, sir, Carlin,
- 11:50Speaker 1: you gave the charges for the other three. H What
- 11:53Speaker 1: are those charges again? Okay, So the other three officers,
- 11:58Speaker 1: they will be on trial beginning August twenty third, same
- 12:02Speaker 1: court building in Minneapolis, and they have been charged. They're
- 12:06Speaker 1: going to try them all three together. The state has
- 12:09Speaker 1: charged them each with two counts of aiding and a betting,
- 12:11Speaker 1: one for second degree murder and one for second degree manslaughter.
- 12:15Speaker 1: All of the former officers would face the same maximum
- 12:19Speaker 1: penalty of forty years in prison if they're found guilty
- 12:24Speaker 1: of aiding and abetting second degree unintentional murder. A guilty
- 12:29Speaker 1: verdict on aiding and ebedding second degree manslaughter would expose
- 12:33Speaker 1: them to a maximum of ten years in prison. And
- 12:36Speaker 1: this is according to MPR. It's gonna be interesting because
- 12:42Speaker 1: you know that without reasonable you know, you know, without
- 12:47Speaker 1: what they call reasonable, they may be able to come
- 12:56Speaker 1: up with something for that. They may, you know, Estave all, no, no, no,
- 13:02Speaker 1: And I don't want them to, Yeah, but I'm prepared
- 13:05Speaker 1: for that. The one we needed to go with him
- 13:08Speaker 1: because he committed all the dirty but knee. But it
- 13:11Speaker 1: would be a great message to see into other police
- 13:14Speaker 1: officers that standing around watching one of your fellow officers
- 13:20Speaker 1: commit a crime, it's also on your watch too. That's
- 13:24Speaker 1: a great thing. Yes, police reform, yep, yep, yep. Hopefully
- 13:30Speaker 1: it's the start of something. All right, Steve, we're gonna
- 13:33Speaker 1: do our regular show today. Yeah, We're gonna switch gears
- 13:37Speaker 1: when we come back at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:39Speaker 1: asked the cello Chief Love Officer Steve Harby. Right after this,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you're listening to coming up at the top of the hour,
- 13:48Speaker 1: we'll have civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump and George Floyd's
- 13:52Speaker 1: brother felonas Floyd will be our very special can't wait
- 13:56Speaker 1: because to them, Yeah, and you don't want to miss that. Yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 1: that is at the time of the hour. But right
- 14:01Speaker 1: now we're switching gears because it's time to ask the
- 14:05Speaker 1: CLO the Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. All right. This
- 14:09Speaker 1: one's from Kathy and Charleston, South Carolina. Kathy says, I'm
- 14:13Speaker 1: a thirty something single female and I live in a
- 14:16Speaker 1: town home with a shared backyard. I have a small
- 14:19Speaker 1: garden growing in raised pots on my patio. There's an
- 14:23Speaker 1: older couple living to my right and they have a
- 14:25Speaker 1: small dog that roams around without a leash. None of
- 14:29Speaker 1: my neighbors complaint since a dog is so cute. Recently,
- 14:33Speaker 1: their dog came on my patio and ate a chili
- 14:37Speaker 1: pepper from my garden. He was rushed to the veterinarian
- 14:40Speaker 1: and he's Okay, now, but my neighbors want me to
- 14:43Speaker 1: pay the vet bill. Is this my fault? No? Hell no, no,
- 14:47Speaker 1: what is they fault? You keep a little damn dog
- 14:50Speaker 1: on a leash. I'll put a little something for him
- 14:54Speaker 1: to roam on a little section of the yard. Then
- 14:57Speaker 1: walk ass over there eating another pepper. Now, yeah, yeah, no,
- 15:01Speaker 1: that's not your fault. You have every right to grow
- 15:05Speaker 1: a garden on your part of the yard. They share
- 15:09Speaker 1: the backyard. Yeah, paying no damn bill for your damn dog.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Put another pepper in fido bowls? Wow? Oh, all right.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Tamka and we're moving on. Tamika in Gulfport, Mississippi says
- 15:28Speaker 1: my parents are retired and my dad has bought and RV,
- 15:31Speaker 1: so they decided to come to visit me. Their RV
- 15:35Speaker 1: has now been parked in my driveway for almost three
- 15:38Speaker 1: weeks and they've overstayed their welcome. I never know what
- 15:41Speaker 1: to expect when I get home from work. They act
- 15:44Speaker 1: like they're parked at a campsite. One day they had
- 15:47Speaker 1: a fish fry in the driveway. Another day was a
- 15:51Speaker 1: crawfish boil, and my dad barbecues every other day. My
- 15:56Speaker 1: friends come eat and hang out with them. How do
- 15:59Speaker 1: I tell them it's time to roll out? What roll out? Man?
- 16:04Speaker 1: I you know? I mean ye barbecue? You come home
- 16:11Speaker 1: from work and you got barbecue? She's mad? Man, I'm straight. Thanks,
- 16:20Speaker 1: Hey daddy, can you do that dry rub tomorrow? But
- 16:25Speaker 1: ain't that in that crab ball? Could you put a
- 16:28Speaker 1: little bit more old bay in? Now? I just want
- 16:30Speaker 1: a little bit more? See Yeah, hell, I start charging
- 16:36Speaker 1: my friends. I have fresh fried fish fries. I'll be
- 16:39Speaker 1: making money. Uh huh. So she wants to know how
- 16:43Speaker 1: how how does she tell them it's time to roll out?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Why would she even do that? Well, I don't know.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You can't. I wouldn't do that if I'm not my parents. Yea,
- 16:54Speaker 1: if ain't no neighbors complaining about it must be a
- 16:56Speaker 1: nice looking r veto ain't nobody complaining? Name is probably
- 17:00Speaker 1: coming to get a place? You know they are? Is
- 17:06Speaker 1: that Cohen a saucers in that what you do is
- 17:12Speaker 1: on the weekend, tell them you want to go on
- 17:14Speaker 1: a trip with him and let him drive a long
- 17:17Speaker 1: way away and then at night you've got down out
- 17:19Speaker 1: to Campe and go catch your plane back home or
- 17:27Speaker 1: missing or just let them stay. Uh all right here
- 17:33Speaker 1: we Go Leslie and Gary, Indiana. Clo says, I had
- 17:37Speaker 1: three beads nests in my attic, so I had to
- 17:39Speaker 1: stay with my sister and her husband while the exterminators
- 17:42Speaker 1: got them out. I'm sleeping in the bedroom in the basement,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and that's where my husband's home offices. I woke up
- 17:48Speaker 1: in the middle of the night over the weekend and
- 17:50Speaker 1: I heard her husband mumbling. I could tell he was
- 17:53Speaker 1: on the phone, and I assumed he was talking to
- 17:56Speaker 1: a female. I wanted to confront him, but I don't
- 18:00Speaker 1: know how. What should I say? It ain't business nothing,
- 18:04Speaker 1: Damn come on, Tommy, me and Tommy at the same time.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That ain't your business. It really is. You heard him
- 18:12Speaker 1: and you assumed he was talking to what. Yeah, no evidence.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Nothing's gonna be back over there with him. Damn bees
- 18:21Speaker 1: is what you gonna do. That's what's going to happen
- 18:27Speaker 1: to you. I can see that now, and moving and
- 18:31Speaker 1: with your nest steal over there. Ain't got all the bees.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I can tell you that right now. Think a man,
- 18:36Speaker 1: yeah's gonna be laying up there. You're gonna hear more
- 18:40Speaker 1: than some mumbling. Yeah the business. This is not your business.
- 18:46Speaker 1: It really isn't. You're in this man's house, you're in
- 18:49Speaker 1: his home office. You heard him mumbling just because down
- 18:53Speaker 1: the sleeping he probably yeah, maybe that's exactly right, Junior,
- 18:58Speaker 1: trying to let you stay sleep, respectful of you. Yeah, wow, man,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you are true. Black people don't know how to be GIFs.
- 19:08Speaker 1: You are giess. It's not your house. Oh that's why
- 19:14Speaker 1: you ain't got nobody now bees Sharif in the Bronx says,
- 19:23Speaker 1: I'm forty eight and I'm still single and looking for
- 19:26Speaker 1: my ideal man to spend the rest of my life with.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I tell every new guy I meet that I'm dating
- 19:32Speaker 1: to get married. Most of them are told me to
- 19:35Speaker 1: stay in the moment and wait to see what happens,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but not exactly in those words. After I tell them
- 19:41Speaker 1: there will be no sex, the calls and the date stop.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I've been on at least twenty dates since January and
- 19:50Speaker 1: I'm still single. How am I supposed to date with
- 19:52Speaker 1: the intention of getting married when men are only dating
- 19:56Speaker 1: for sex? Well, let me ask you a question. You
- 19:59Speaker 1: don't even get a guy a chance to like you
- 20:02Speaker 1: before you run him off. Just date, find out if
- 20:05Speaker 1: you even like a person. If that person even likes
- 20:08Speaker 1: you enjoy that company for a few dates before you
- 20:11Speaker 1: break out this. But what is she saying, Steve, as
- 20:14Speaker 1: soon as she meets them? Okay, okay, sure, okay, sure listen,
- 20:18Speaker 1: So we go out on a date. You be the dude.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Go ahead and talk to me. Let me show you
- 20:22Speaker 1: how to going. Hey, baby, how are you doing? You?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Sure look nice tonight? I look nice in the wind
- 20:28Speaker 1: and dressed what I hadn't nobody know you. We're just
- 20:34Speaker 1: getting to know. I'm just taking you over here, you know,

- 22:54Speaker 1: my t shirt? My Chicago Bulls Championship T shirt? I
- 22:57Speaker 1: saw your girl with it on now? Last night? Last

- 28:53Speaker 1: though with you're only out time, it's different. Coming up
- 29:02Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, as promised to Ben
- 29:05Speaker 1: Crump and Felonis Floyd, the brother of George Floyd, right
- 29:09Speaker 1: after this you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, asked, promise, our
- 29:17Speaker 1: very very special guest is here now. Uh. He is
- 29:21Speaker 1: our very own hero. He is on the front line
- 29:25Speaker 1: of almost every major case for social justice in this country,
- 29:31Speaker 1: for racial equality, for the down trodden, for the little man,
- 29:35Speaker 1: for the underdog. He is our own. He is the
- 29:38Speaker 1: one and only attorney Benjamin Crump Harding, You're very happy
- 29:49Speaker 1: to be with you to announce that historic verdict for
- 29:54Speaker 1: George Floyd, and Steve I know you and the whole
- 29:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show Nation was fighting and praying for
- 30:03Speaker 1: justice for George Floyd, something that we sit in often
- 30:08Speaker 1: to see where you had a historic civil settlement of
- 30:12Speaker 1: twenty seven million dollars policy reform, but then to get
- 30:17Speaker 1: a criminal conviction of a man's officer, but killing an
- 30:21Speaker 1: unarmed black man unjustifiably was something that was maya mentor.
- 30:27Speaker 1: So I'm so happy seved to come and think you
- 30:30Speaker 1: and the whole stee Harby Nation for standing with the
- 30:34Speaker 1: family of George Floyd. You know, for us. You know
- 30:39Speaker 1: yesterday we took nothing but phone calls. And I gotta
- 30:42Speaker 1: tell you and the family how of an impact this
- 30:48Speaker 1: trial had because we came to terms We've never seen
- 30:51Speaker 1: a trial of this magnitude with this coverage. Now, this
- 30:55Speaker 1: trial was far more impactful than the O. J. Simpson
- 30:59Speaker 1: trial because this trial was for us. The O. J.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Simpson trial just was covered. That wasn't for us. This
- 31:09Speaker 1: was for us. And to listen to our listeners yesterday,
- 31:15Speaker 1: Crump and listen to the pain, the relief, the joy,
- 31:22Speaker 1: the tears, and the moment we've been waiting for to
- 31:27Speaker 1: watch what you just so described happened. It's something I
- 31:31Speaker 1: didn't know that I would ever see in my lifetime.
- 31:34Speaker 1: And for you who were standing with the family, and
- 31:37Speaker 1: especially to the family who has maintained a level of
- 31:41Speaker 1: dignity like nothing I've ever seen before. They called for
- 31:46Speaker 1: peace when it looked like it was gonna get out
- 31:48Speaker 1: of hand. They called for justice. They explained themselves eloquently.
- 31:55Speaker 1: They were on point. Please tell the George Ford Flemmily
- 32:00Speaker 1: on behalf of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and all
- 32:03Speaker 1: of us how proud we are of the dignity that
- 32:06Speaker 1: they displayed during this entire time. Sorry for their loss.
- 32:11Speaker 1: For Lord her Mercy, y'all put up a great fight
- 32:17Speaker 1: where Steve, I have one more exciting piece of news
- 32:22Speaker 1: to tell you. You know how much I'll love you, Fred,
- 32:26Speaker 1: But there is a young man on the phone with me.
- 32:30Speaker 1: America has come to embrace him and love him. George
- 32:34Speaker 1: Floyd's brother, Blonus Floyd, who Steve, I want you to
- 32:40Speaker 1: know publicly every day for over three weeks he went
- 32:46Speaker 1: into the courtroom fighting for justice for his brother, George Floyd,
- 32:51Speaker 1: his big brother, wearing a Steve Harvey suit. What Loni
- 33:06Speaker 1: th Lonas you got a new nickname, Lonus loners one
- 33:12Speaker 1: of them suits. And he would looking at sharp every day.
- 33:18Speaker 1: One of your spos Hey Thalnas, canna tell you something, Sir,
- 33:24Speaker 1: I won't. I won't call you, he'd been longing to us.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Now it's good to hear you laughing, brother yes it is. Yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 1: it's good to hear you laugh. Man, Thank you so much,
- 33:35Speaker 1: Thank you so much. I really enjoy you. My mom
- 33:38Speaker 1: she used to talk about you all the time. We
- 33:40Speaker 1: used to stay up just to watch you on Apollo.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Oh man, oh you an old friend. Oh yeah, oh man,
- 33:49Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. New nephew. Tell me, oh y'all, Man, y'all,
- 33:55Speaker 1: just yeah, y'all funny man, y'all crack me up. Man.
- 33:59Speaker 1: But Steve, it's been a blessing man, just that just
- 34:03Speaker 1: to look at you blossom like you have. Uh. And
- 34:06Speaker 1: the statement a long time ago when you were on
- 34:11Speaker 1: that show with the contestants of that that right there,
- 34:15Speaker 1: that chill for it because you might have slipped up.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I had the wrong information, but boom, you came right
- 34:21Speaker 1: back in the world. That said, Man, we love Steve Arton. Man. Yeah,
- 34:27Speaker 1: you know, brother, I thank you for that. But man,
- 34:31Speaker 1: I want you to understand how important your brother has been,
- 34:37Speaker 1: what his life has meant to us as a culture.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Your brother has given us something that we thought we
- 34:46Speaker 1: never have. And our condolences to the family. But man,
- 34:51Speaker 1: your family is one of the greatest families for civil rights.
- 34:56Speaker 1: You all will go down in history as the family
- 35:00Speaker 1: that change, that started the change in this country. And
- 35:05Speaker 1: I want to let you know that, and we are
- 35:08Speaker 1: aware of it, and we thank you from the bottom
- 35:11Speaker 1: of my heart with the dignity that your family portrayed,
- 35:15Speaker 1: unherald Man, and we really appreciate everything. And before you
- 35:20Speaker 1: say anything, because I want to come back, we got
- 35:22Speaker 1: some questions for y'all. We're gonna go to break so
- 35:25Speaker 1: we can come back. We are talking with two great
- 35:30Speaker 1: people on the phone. We've got our friend, our long
- 35:33Speaker 1: time guy, Benjamin Crump, and we got George Floyd's brother.
- 35:38Speaker 1: They want to call him for Lonis. I want to
- 35:40Speaker 1: call him THEO. I don't know. I don't even know
- 35:45Speaker 1: why I'm feeling THEO though. We'll be back right after that.
- 35:51Speaker 1: We're gonna see if we can. He's smiling today. That's
- 35:53Speaker 1: a good thing. Man. Right back, you're listening to everybody.
- 36:00Speaker 1: We're back and our special guests on the phone is
- 36:04Speaker 1: our friend, attorney Benjamin Crump, and Felonis Floyd, who is
- 36:10Speaker 1: George Floyd's younger brother, and they are here today to
- 36:15Speaker 1: talk about the verdict and everything. Benjamin Crump, let me
- 36:21Speaker 1: just start with you your feelings as the verdict was read.
- 36:25Speaker 1: You you know, Steve, I thought about so many people
- 36:29Speaker 1: who you and I over the years, who was denied
- 36:34Speaker 1: due process, who was denied the lass in a mecca
- 36:37Speaker 1: that we have liberty and justice fall. And as that
- 36:41Speaker 1: verdict came through, all those names, Trey Vine, Michael Brown,
- 36:46Speaker 1: Sandra Bland, Alston Sterling for Lando to Still, they all
- 36:52Speaker 1: ran through my mind and I said, thank you guy,
- 36:55Speaker 1: because today it's historic not just for George Floyd family,
- 37:00Speaker 1: but also for children. Yet am boring. This was a
- 37:06Speaker 1: president that will gil marginalized minorities, especially black people, a
- 37:14Speaker 1: president that they know justice is possible. And that's the
- 37:19Speaker 1: thing that went through my mind. Steve Harvey. Absolutely, Hey,
- 37:23Speaker 1: not flis floonis Floyd. Everybody. This is George Floyd's younger brother.
- 37:29Speaker 1: You you you've been right there the entire time. Tell
- 37:33Speaker 1: me how your family felt at the time, the verdict
- 37:37Speaker 1: we've read, and what you all have been kind of
- 37:40Speaker 1: feeling and going through since the verdict. Wow, just at
- 37:44Speaker 1: the court room, I was pacing back and forth walking,
- 37:49Speaker 1: I was nervous and vision eternity. Bensamin Crumb and my
- 37:53Speaker 1: wife they said, hey, look, whatever you have to do,
- 37:56Speaker 1: to be comfortable. If you gotta pace yourself back and forth,
- 38:00Speaker 1: do it. And I did it. And from that point on,
- 38:04Speaker 1: when it was time to him the courtroom, I sat
- 38:07Speaker 1: down and I prayed for thirty minutes in the corner
- 38:10Speaker 1: in the seat that they only allowed one family member
- 38:12Speaker 1: to begin inside the courtroom. And when the judge came
- 38:16Speaker 1: out and he said guilty, guilty, and guilty, Oh, I
- 38:22Speaker 1: was ecstatic. I was super excited. I didn't know what
- 38:27Speaker 1: to do, but it felt like I had just won
- 38:29Speaker 1: a championship. And all I did was think about my brother,
- 38:33Speaker 1: because my brother, that's what he would say. Man, we
- 38:36Speaker 1: just won the championship. And my wife said, hey, we're
- 38:39Speaker 1: bringing this w back to Houston. But I told her,
- 38:43Speaker 1: I say, this is for the world. Maybe this is
- 38:47Speaker 1: for everybody. This is for him material, this is for
- 38:50Speaker 1: everybody who didn't even get that opportunity to have justice.
- 38:54Speaker 1: And we prayed too much for a seed. Hey, flows
- 38:58Speaker 1: hang on one second, man, we got we gotta take
- 39:00Speaker 1: We're coming back. We're talking with uh Felonis Floyd, who
- 39:03Speaker 1: is George Floyd's younger brother, and attorney Benjamin Crump on
- 39:07Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show you're listening, all right, everybody,
- 39:13Speaker 1: We're back and we've been talking this morning with attorney
- 39:16Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump and with um, uh George Floyd's younger brother Felons,
- 39:21Speaker 1: and we were talking and we just left off and
- 39:23Speaker 1: Felonis was telling us how he felt doing the reading
- 39:27Speaker 1: of the verdict. Uh, what's kind of been your family's
- 39:32Speaker 1: uh thought process? Sister sister? Trial has ended. Now, I mean,
- 39:38Speaker 1: you've had a night of rest and sleep. I would
- 39:40Speaker 1: imagine this is the first I don't know, man, did
- 39:44Speaker 1: you did you have a decent night rest? Finally? Did
- 39:46Speaker 1: did you feel some sense of relief? What? What? What
- 39:49Speaker 1: was it? See, I'm gonna be honest with you. I
- 39:53Speaker 1: really didn't even want to go to sleep. I was
- 39:55Speaker 1: just excited and happy at the time because we never
- 40:00Speaker 1: had off for me and they were to be charged
- 40:02Speaker 1: with accountability for killing the African Americans man, because as
- 40:07Speaker 1: African Americans, we said, like, we never get justice. So
- 40:10Speaker 1: I was on cloud nine. I wanted to stay up,
- 40:13Speaker 1: but uh, one of being co workers, they said, hey,
- 40:19Speaker 1: let's need to go to sleep, and I did. But
- 40:23Speaker 1: that was the worst thing I could have did, because
- 40:25Speaker 1: now I'm sleepy, I'm tired of after that. All these
- 40:28Speaker 1: other days I've been up getting only like three hours,
- 40:31Speaker 1: two hours and four hours to sleep, and I mean
- 40:33Speaker 1: functioning well my body. I wanted to sleep like five
- 40:36Speaker 1: or six hours last night, and I'm tired, you know.
- 40:45Speaker 1: But you know where let me tell you something. The
- 40:48Speaker 1: things then we fight for in life. It's great just
- 40:51Speaker 1: that I have the opportunity to see older people who've
- 40:55Speaker 1: been through I was like to how to hell they've
- 40:57Speaker 1: been through hell? Coming up, drinking out of water, powers
- 41:00Speaker 1: around the corner, could not being able to come inside, abusers.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Muhammad Ali when he came back from the military, he
- 41:08Speaker 1: could even either table. But all of those people are smiling,
- 41:12Speaker 1: and they look at me and they're telling me thank you.
- 41:15Speaker 1: I said, don't take thank you to me. Thank you
- 41:18Speaker 1: to Takenoledge. Thank you to that that minor the knowledge
- 41:23Speaker 1: who recorded the video. Thank you to that nine year
- 41:26Speaker 1: old who got up there and testified against the people
- 41:31Speaker 1: who was representing the blue wall. You know it collapsed yesterday.
- 41:35Speaker 1: And these lieutenants, these chiefs, they all were against what happened.
- 41:39Speaker 1: And they all said, we did not condone that, and
- 41:42Speaker 1: we did not cheat that. And then let me know
- 41:45Speaker 1: that we was in the world. We live in the
- 41:47Speaker 1: world that can be changed. We can take the hatred
- 41:51Speaker 1: out of people. But they just got to be able
- 41:53Speaker 1: to accept love in their hearts. And you know, darkness
- 41:58Speaker 1: is darkness, but when you shared light, doctor King said it,
- 42:01Speaker 1: that's the only way things are going to get better. Man.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I just this is difficult. Every day I think about
- 42:10Speaker 1: my mom, you know, I'm not being here. I think
- 42:13Speaker 1: about my brother, but his daughter is here. And she
- 42:18Speaker 1: predicted this. She said that my dad was going to
- 42:21Speaker 1: change the world. And she spoke on it and she's
- 42:25Speaker 1: spoken into existence. And also Attorney Crumpy, not gonna tell you,
- 42:30Speaker 1: but he spoke this into existence too. He said, it's
- 42:34Speaker 1: gonna be the verdict. It's gonna be the next day.
- 42:37Speaker 1: And just like that, less than twenty four hours they
- 42:39Speaker 1: had a verdict. Everybody thought it was gonna take two days. Wow,
- 42:43Speaker 1: you know that now, now, Attorney Crump, were you surprised
- 42:49Speaker 1: at how quickly the verdict was rendered? You know, see,
- 42:54Speaker 1: I predicted it was gonna come back on Tuesday because
- 42:57Speaker 1: obviously the video was tepital. But the sain that really
- 43:01Speaker 1: got me, Steve, when I knew this verdict was gonna
- 43:04Speaker 1: come back fast, and it was gonna come back in
- 43:06Speaker 1: our favor. Was when that nine year old little girl
- 43:09Speaker 1: took the stand and I'm a father to have an
- 43:12Speaker 1: eight year old daughter named Brooklyn. And when she said
- 43:15Speaker 1: Shirley and caller that, well, first they asked him politely,
- 43:20Speaker 1: but he still didn't take his knee off his neck.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I knew if there were parents on that Jerry, Steve Harvey,
- 43:27Speaker 1: they were not going to send the missus to their children.
- 43:32Speaker 1: That said Derek Chauvin's Bob Barret at of putting his
- 43:36Speaker 1: knee on George Floud's neck for nine minutes in twenty
- 43:40Speaker 1: nine seconds was gonna be acceptable. And I knew they
- 43:44Speaker 1: were on the verdict that would send a marriage not
- 43:47Speaker 1: just to the world, but to their chapman. And that's
- 43:50Speaker 1: what made me confidence. Steve Harvey, Wow, well said, hey, everybody,
- 43:56Speaker 1: hang on right quick. We've got Benjamin Crump at Floyd
- 44:01Speaker 1: as our special guests. We got more with these two
- 44:03Speaker 1: brothers right after this. Don't go away. You're listening, all right, everybody.
- 44:10Speaker 1: We're back with our special guests, Uh, Attorney Benjamin Crump
- 44:15Speaker 1: and our new family member, Felis Floyd. This was a
- 44:19Speaker 1: victory for all of us. This gave black people a
- 44:24Speaker 1: sense that, Wow, something can go right for us in
- 44:29Speaker 1: this judicial system when it comes to the police, you know,
- 44:34Speaker 1: and that's all it needs. And now, man, we got
- 44:37Speaker 1: a lot of work to do, we know, but the
- 44:39Speaker 1: passing of the murder of George Floyd, of your brother,
- 44:45Speaker 1: has has changed the way things will be viewed from
- 44:50Speaker 1: now because I think Crump, if you ask me, I
- 44:53Speaker 1: think that the prosecutors in this because we kind of
- 44:56Speaker 1: had this discussion yesterday. Normally the police department and the
- 45:01Speaker 1: prosecutors are always in bed together because that there was
- 45:05Speaker 1: two components formed the case right. This was the first
- 45:11Speaker 1: time I've seen a prosecutor really go after a police
- 45:17Speaker 1: officer with the aid of other police officers. And the
- 45:21Speaker 1: prosecution did such a good job at presenting their case
- 45:24Speaker 1: they became stars. I think it's going to have a
- 45:27Speaker 1: rollover effect to other prosecutors who want to get that
- 45:30Speaker 1: same type of shine on their career when it comes
- 45:33Speaker 1: down to cases like this. God knows. I pray you right, Steve,
- 45:38Speaker 1: because you're right. Normally, prosecutors, when they prosecute police m
- 45:43Speaker 1: killing black people, it's like a fish out of water. Experience,
- 45:46Speaker 1: but here it was profound. And I will tell you this,
- 45:50Speaker 1: Steve Harber. When President Biden called us when we were
- 45:55Speaker 1: leaving the court, he said, you all may not believe this,
- 46:00Speaker 1: but many police officers are also praying for y'all to
- 46:05Speaker 1: get justice because they said what Derek Chauvin did on
- 46:09Speaker 1: that video was not representative of them. Right. They want
- 46:14Speaker 1: people to know that this was in mora and any humane. Wow.
- 46:21Speaker 1: This has been a great day for us, man, for
- 46:24Speaker 1: all of us, and we really do think you awfulness
- 46:27Speaker 1: and your family for being the way you were. You know,
- 46:30Speaker 1: you know, you know, sometimes you have a case and
- 46:34Speaker 1: people get to talking about it and they kind of
- 46:36Speaker 1: bash you a little bit. You know, you go, man,
- 46:39Speaker 1: I wish they go somewhere and sit down. They're messing
- 46:41Speaker 1: this thing up. That was not the case with the
- 46:44Speaker 1: Floyd family. You all, you all's dignity and the way
- 46:50Speaker 1: you spoke, and you maintained such a level of grace
- 46:56Speaker 1: and dignity. Man, you made yeah eloquence. You made a
- 47:00Speaker 1: lot of us so proud, so proud to say, boy,
- 47:05Speaker 1: look at this family stand up here. Boy, they're doing
- 47:07Speaker 1: it the right way. You called for peace. When when
- 47:10Speaker 1: when it looked like some of the things was getting
- 47:12Speaker 1: out of hand. You called for peace, You kept the
- 47:15Speaker 1: right tone, You had the right attitude. You didn't give
- 47:19Speaker 1: him nothing else to talk about except y'all murdered our brother.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Please let your family know on behalf of all of us,
- 47:29Speaker 1: especially around the country. But here on the show. Uh,
- 47:32Speaker 1: you made us proud. Steve Harvey alone says tea for
- 47:36Speaker 1: the soup so fashionably for all the world to see
- 47:41Speaker 1: in the courtroom. How can he get a year supply
- 47:45Speaker 1: of Steve Harvey sup so every time he too an
- 47:49Speaker 1: interview he can be looking clean as the part of them. Boy,
- 47:53Speaker 1: listen to me, flown us. I am going to make
- 47:59Speaker 1: sure the new collection that's coming out you will get
- 48:04Speaker 1: one of every single suit, shirt, tie, everything I got you. Boy,
- 48:13Speaker 1: let me tell you something. I'm gonna fly somebody to you,
- 48:18Speaker 1: measure you up. I'm gonna send the tailor to you,
- 48:21Speaker 1: measure up, get all these suits, get them fitted to
- 48:23Speaker 1: you so you look like real money. You ain't gonna
- 48:27Speaker 1: ever have to buy another stick. You ain't never gotten
- 48:31Speaker 1: buy another suit. I promise you up yearly as long
- 48:38Speaker 1: as I'm making suits. The learner's flawed ass fitting the
- 48:43Speaker 1: beef popping. Now nothing else, Sean John a straight hand.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I bet not see me now another one of your monks.
- 49:02Speaker 1: You know what you would know. No, we were differently. Now,
- 49:09Speaker 1: shitty god you I've been waiting to do. Dog. I
- 49:16Speaker 1: know this ain't gonna be problem. I know people gonna
- 49:19Speaker 1: have problem with this hill. But from now on, get
- 49:24Speaker 1: the beat button ready. You know you ain't gonna beat.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I ain't gonna say nothing that requires people. Okay, you
- 49:31Speaker 1: from now on is my moon? You my now by
- 49:41Speaker 1: anybody asked you, you can tell him. Steve Harvey, my loot.
- 49:47Speaker 1: That's your friend, brother benjam that's your friend, brother brother,
- 49:52Speaker 1: my megad brother. Don. Hey, hey, Bend, when are you
- 49:58Speaker 1: gonna get you? When are you gonna get get you?
- 50:00Speaker 1: Some rest man, because you are the hardest worker man
- 50:03Speaker 1: we know. Brother. Hey, you know we're trying, y'all and
- 50:11Speaker 1: seem like every time we make take a few steps forward,
- 50:15Speaker 1: y'all know, ten miles from where they were having the trial,
- 50:19Speaker 1: young brother Dante Wright get killed by this white policewoman
- 50:22Speaker 1: claimed she pulling her taber and shoot him. So Steve,
- 50:26Speaker 1: at some point we got to come back and talk
- 50:28Speaker 1: about that because ain't no way humans take a tabor
- 50:32Speaker 1: from a gun when all the protocols they go through
- 50:37Speaker 1: and planas and his family. You right, y'all, they have
- 50:41Speaker 1: become the comforters and the counsels for this family who's
- 50:46Speaker 1: starting to go through what they went through just a
- 50:48Speaker 1: year ago. And we all get through this together, y'all.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Y you gotta understand that they can make better a
- 50:57Speaker 1: law to protake a birds, which is about all the
- 51:00Speaker 1: eagle they can make Sutter allows to protect people of color.
- 51:03Speaker 1: So it's the time for change, and it's times is now. Hey,
- 51:07Speaker 1: these these protesters all around the world, they all ignited
- 51:11Speaker 1: the flame in them and I'm happy because they was
- 51:15Speaker 1: out with boots, boots on the ground, sumthing and the
- 51:19Speaker 1: honor of George and others who have been murdered. And
- 51:22Speaker 1: this is this is big, This is major. Uh. Every
- 51:26Speaker 1: country said, look, we're not going to stop until y'all
- 51:31Speaker 1: can breathe. And Miss Carr she's having that opportunity now
- 51:36Speaker 1: because I'm gonna fight for her because they didn't give
- 51:38Speaker 1: her that. They didn't give her that chance. Eric Eric Garner, Yeah,
- 51:43Speaker 1: Eric Garner, Eric Garna. We got Brianna Taylor. We gotta
- 51:47Speaker 1: do it for everybody. I'm right here with. I'm with
- 51:49Speaker 1: Brianna Taylor's uh our friend now, and this is ridiculous, man,
- 51:54Speaker 1: we have to fight. Hey man, let me tell y'all something.
- 51:58Speaker 1: We're gonna. We're gonna, y'all goping. I gotta tell you something.
- 52:01Speaker 1: I'm in Africa right and I'm taping a family feud
- 52:05Speaker 1: in South Africa. When I walked out on stage today,
- 52:10Speaker 1: I got a standing ovation. I'm used to that. But
- 52:15Speaker 1: when I backed up and I got ready to announce, Hey,
- 52:18Speaker 1: welcome to family Feud South Africa. I'm your man, Steve Harvey,
- 52:21Speaker 1: they kept clapping, and then finally I just said, hey man,
- 52:25Speaker 1: y'all come on, but they kept clapping, so finally we
- 52:28Speaker 1: cut the camera off. I said, man, didn't they tell
- 52:30Speaker 1: y'all that's all you got to do? They said, were
- 52:33Speaker 1: clapping for the verdict, Steve, Congratulations, my lord dog, this
- 52:39Speaker 1: is in Africa. Africa, we I said, Steve, we love y'all.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Were clapping for the verdict man, congratulations. That just happened
- 52:49Speaker 1: to me tonight. Almost started crying. Man. I saw it
- 52:52Speaker 1: for myself today. I thank you so much, Steve Man
- 52:56Speaker 1: for everything. Let me tell you something. It was an
- 52:59Speaker 1: honor for us to talk to you. Yes, yes, it was.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Thank y'all so much. Congratulations man. We got a lot
- 53:06Speaker 1: of work to do, y'all. The heroes out of is steal. Hey, y'all,

- 53:38Speaker 1: You hear it right here right now, buck all uppinhold
- 53:41Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you here. It is
- 53:43Speaker 1: straw every letter. Thank enough. Your subject if he wants it,
- 53:48Speaker 1: he has to pay. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty
- 53:52Speaker 1: seven year old single mom and I've been divorced since
- 53:55Speaker 1: my child was three years old. My ex husband did
- 53:58Speaker 1: not contribute financially to me and our daughter in the
- 54:01Speaker 1: years past because he had some health issues which kept
- 54:04Speaker 1: him from working for a long period. Of time, and
- 54:07Speaker 1: he ended up moving in with his dad. Our daughter
- 54:10Speaker 1: is thirteen now and my ex husband has a great
- 54:12Speaker 1: job again and his house is much better. He has
- 54:16Speaker 1: a new home, and he's still a single man. He
- 54:19Speaker 1: recently poured out his heart to me and said he's
- 54:23Speaker 1: single because he still loves me and wants his family back.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I don't believe him, because he's had many years to
- 54:30Speaker 1: prove it. Even when he was ill and his finances
- 54:33Speaker 1: weren't all the way together, I would have been there
- 54:35Speaker 1: for him and helped him out, even though he cheated
- 54:38Speaker 1: on me in the past. That's what led to our divorced.
- 54:42Speaker 1: He had a long term relationship with another woman and
- 54:45Speaker 1: she came to my house with the jewelry he bought her,
- 54:48Speaker 1: bought for her, and she was driving a car he
- 54:50Speaker 1: bought for her. I was very hurt and we went
- 54:53Speaker 1: to counseling. But the only reason I did that was
- 54:56Speaker 1: for my daughter's sake. Over the years after our divorce,
- 55:00Speaker 1: I forgave him and I stopped hating him. He and
- 55:03Speaker 1: our daughter are best friends now and she's been bugging
- 55:06Speaker 1: me to give her dad a second chance, a second chance.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I don't trust him, and it is his fault. He knows.
- 55:13Speaker 1: If he wants me to consider seeing him again, he
- 55:15Speaker 1: has to really bring it this time. I don't want
- 55:18Speaker 1: to ever have to wonder where he is or who
- 55:22Speaker 1: he's with. I want control of all of the money.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I want all of his pass codes, and he can't
- 55:28Speaker 1: be on social media or have female friends. He said
- 55:31Speaker 1: that it's too much to ask for, but I don't
- 55:34Speaker 1: think so. If he wants me, he has to pay.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Am I going overboard? Please help NA. I don't think
- 55:40Speaker 1: you're going overboard. I mean if that's what you need
- 55:43Speaker 1: right now to feel secure and you may change later,
- 55:46Speaker 1: that's what you need. And I just say, don't waste
- 55:49Speaker 1: your time anymore with this guy. I mean, you gave him,
- 55:52Speaker 1: you gave him your terms, and he said it's too much.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It's probably about controlling all the money. That's probably where
- 55:59Speaker 1: he had a problem. He didn't like your terms. So
- 56:02Speaker 1: there's your answer. I don't think he's ready right now.
- 56:05Speaker 1: I think a person who wants his family back and
- 56:07Speaker 1: who still loves you would want to do whatever it
- 56:10Speaker 1: takes to make it up to you. I mean, did
- 56:12Speaker 1: he forget that he cheated on you and that's what
- 56:14Speaker 1: led to the divorce. At that time, the trust was
- 56:18Speaker 1: broken and that needs to be rebuilt. You know, it's
- 56:22Speaker 1: change of behavior. It's actions, not words that you need
- 56:25Speaker 1: right now because you don't believe him, and he's given
- 56:28Speaker 1: you no reason to at least you didn't mention in
- 56:30Speaker 1: the letter. He's given you no reason to believe him.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Of course, your daughter wants you guys to be back together.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I mean, most kids hate divorce. It's very hard on them.
- 56:41Speaker 1: But you have to explain it to her since she's
- 56:43Speaker 1: bugging you to give him a second chance, that his
- 56:45Speaker 1: actions prove that so far he doesn't deserve a second
- 56:48Speaker 1: chance because he can't commit to giving you what you've
- 56:52Speaker 1: asked for. You've forgiven him, you no longer hate him,
- 56:55Speaker 1: and I'm assuming you're on friendly terms with him, so
- 57:00Speaker 1: just leave it at that for right now. If he
- 57:03Speaker 1: really really wants you, then he'll do what it takes
- 57:06Speaker 1: what you want Steve Wow. If he wants it, he
- 57:11Speaker 1: has to pay the problem with this letter, though, is
- 57:15Speaker 1: the payment is all her terms, and I think what
- 57:20Speaker 1: she should have did was if I were her, I
- 57:23Speaker 1: would have gone about this a little bit slicker. If
- 57:26Speaker 1: you're going to consider, but let me help you. I
- 57:29Speaker 1: think you should consider this, and I want to show
- 57:32Speaker 1: you why your single divorce three year old. Your husband
- 57:39Speaker 1: didn't contribute to the relationship before because he was had
- 57:42Speaker 1: health issues kepting from working. He ended up moving in
- 57:45Speaker 1: with his dad. Your daughter's thirteen, so that's three years.
- 57:50Speaker 1: That's ten years. Your ex husband has gotten on his feet,
- 57:54Speaker 1: great job, health is a lot better, he has a
- 57:57Speaker 1: new home, and it's still the single man. This is
- 58:01Speaker 1: the first line I want to bring to your attention.
- 58:03Speaker 1: He's back on his feet, he's financially strong, he has
- 58:07Speaker 1: a new home, and he's still single. Could it be true?
- 58:13Speaker 1: Or let me help you understand that it's true. Hard
- 58:16Speaker 1: to have chicks on the side and buy a new
- 58:18Speaker 1: house at the same time. A hard to have chicks
- 58:23Speaker 1: on the side and buy a new house at the
- 58:26Speaker 1: same time. I just want to share that with you,
- 58:30Speaker 1: not saying it's impossible, but I'm just telling you. Then,
- 58:37Speaker 1: he poured out his heart to you. He told you
- 58:39Speaker 1: he's single because he still loves me and he wants
- 58:41Speaker 1: his family back. That could be true. Now you know
- 58:45Speaker 1: you don't believe him because he's had a lot of
- 58:48Speaker 1: years to prove it. Well, what broke y'all up before
- 58:52Speaker 1: was two things. He cheated you say, and a lot
- 58:55Speaker 1: of it was financed. He couldn't contribute, couldn't take care
- 58:59Speaker 1: of his family, nothing, and that's very important to man.
- 59:02Speaker 1: So maybe he wanted to wait until he could get
- 59:04Speaker 1: back on his feet, get his thing together, so he
- 59:07Speaker 1: could come to you with something. This is all a possibility.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Now you're saying you would have been there for him
- 59:13Speaker 1: and helped him out even though he cheated me on
- 59:15Speaker 1: the path, but you didn't see and you didn't probably
- 59:21Speaker 1: because he cheated on you, and that's perfectly understandable. But
- 59:25Speaker 1: you said you would have been there for him and
- 59:27Speaker 1: helped him out. Why would you do that to somebody
- 59:31Speaker 1: that cheated on you? And the man know he was wrong,
- 59:34Speaker 1: so he didn't got himself together. Now that's what led
- 59:39Speaker 1: to your divorce. He had a long term lationship with
- 59:41Speaker 1: a moment she came to my house with the jewelry
- 59:44Speaker 1: he bought her and the car he bought her. Well,
- 59:48Speaker 1: that ain't happening no more. That's over with. You were
- 59:52Speaker 1: hurt and y'all went to counseling. When I come back,
- 59:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what I think. He'll move should
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: be all right, Steve, hang on to your response. We'll
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: have part two coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the hour. If he wants me, he has to pay
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: as the subject. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letters subject. If he wants it, he has
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: to pay. Thirty seven year old single mother with a
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: child three years old by her former husband. The daughter
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: is now thirteen years old. They broke up because of
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: health issues because he kept him from working for long
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: predatin and he had to move in with his dad.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Now he's back on his feet, got a new house
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: and he's still single, and he poured his heart out
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: to her. Told his woman he's single because he still
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: loves me. He wants his family back. This could be true.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: You say you don't believe him, because he had a
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: lot of chick years to prove it. But he was
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: getting back on his feet. And if y'all broke up
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: before because he had to move in with his dad
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: because he cheated on you, and he didn't have himself
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: together because he couldn't work right, maybe he wanted to
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: get himself together where he did. Now he had a
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: long term relationship with this woman that came to your house.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I don't know when she came to your own house.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I don't know. This was a piece of information that
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: came out of nowhere. You didn't say when y'all was married.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: After the marriage, I don't know when she came to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the house and you saw this jewelry in this car
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: and you were hurt, y'all went to counseling, So I
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: must mean I guess y'all were still married. But the
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: only reason I did that was for your daughter, because
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: over the years after the divorce, you forgiving him, stop
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: hating him, and he and your daughter best friends. Now
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: she's been bugging me to give her dad a second chance.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Now you say I don't trust him and it's his fault. Okay,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: that's true, and you justified in feeling exactly that way.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Got it. He knows if he wants me to consider
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: seeing him again, he has to really bring it this time.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: So now you don't ever want to have to wonder
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: where he is or who he's with. That's okay, cool. Now,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: his square the demands may have stopped this from happening.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I want control of all the money. I want all
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: of his pass codes, and he can't be on social
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: media or have female friends. He said that's too much
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: to ask for. You need to find out which one
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: is too much, because if he gots to have female friends,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: if that's the part that's too much, leave his ass
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: right where he is. If he don't want to give
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: you his pass codes and all that, leave his ass
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: right where he is. But if it's about this money,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: like Shirley said, which I think it is, could it
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: be because he didn't got on his feet. It's proud
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: of his accomplishments. He's willing to share, but he ain't
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: going to give you control of it. And a lot
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: of people they don't are not going to relinquish control
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: of it. So now he say that's too much to ask,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: but I don't think so. If he wants this, he
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: has to pay. Am I going overboard? Please help? I
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: think you need to demand everything is self control of
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: all the money, and I think you all should have
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: joint control of the money. Nobody should feel like they
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: can't make a move in a marriage without asking another person.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: You are both adults. These women on the show would
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: not go home and not be able to shop or
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: buy something when they want to. They got to ask
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: their hubs. Can I have this? Can I have anybody that?
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: It's just a limit something? Man? Come on and now
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I ain't no man fit the man? No woman? Give
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: her all the money and go Can I buy this?
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Can I have it? Can I go play golf? Can
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I bomb? Can I get some money? No? One? So?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Now do I think it's going overboard if you're demanding
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: all this? Yes, Now, if he don't want to give
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: you his pass code and he don't and he want
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to have female friends, then you gotta leave him a lot.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: But if it's about that money, y'all got to work
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: out something befoere y'all both can have control and say
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: so over the money, and y'all each still have an
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: individual life with your own money. You gotta have that
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: in relationship to move around, because I get all real
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: quick having to ask somebody for everything. Lord, Shirley Carlin,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: how would you feel if y'all had to go and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: ask her husband for everything? Oh? I'd be single, sick.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say that, just gonna say it this long.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I say, pat yourself on the back, right my damn self.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: First time you ask, because I'm gonna tell you. I mean,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Marjorie controls a lot, but I mean she has access
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: to everything, and she knows where everything is, but control
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: all of it. Hold up now, right, Well, I think
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: the conversations, Yeah, they need to discuss it because he
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: just yeah, he just cut her off and said that's
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: too much. Well, let's talk about it, you know, and
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: she has Yeah, dude, they need to talk about it.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: They do. You know, man, if you really want your
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: family back, and you want your family back, but this time,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you need to act like to your family. And I'm
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: telling you money was a big part of why they
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: broke up before because his first thing, she said, he
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: was unable to support us and he had to move
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: in with his dad. Well, he had health, his shoes. Yeah,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: so you wasn't gonna take care of his ass and
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: he wasn't. He was cheating. Let her take care of you.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: What happened to sickness? And then him? You got move on.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: You gotta move in with your dad. You can't crawl
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: up step. No, you got moving with your dad going
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: over there. He ain't got no steps. I'm not gonna
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: be helping you up these steps every night. Soon you
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: can't go to babe. What you mean bringing the tarlet
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: in him? If he cheated? Go on in now, your
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: dad is strong enough to help you up themselves. I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: can't do. I gotta take care of his baby, all right. Listen,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter

- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Right now it is Junior and Sports Talk. What you
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: got Junior, Ah Shirlette, UNC, Tommy Junior call listen. Uh,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: this is gonna be great here. Look, call you in
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: the UFCA. Did I put myself in? Ain't I on
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: the team? Go ahead? Go ahead, call myself in the
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: h UNC. You in theo UFC. Man. I'm just now
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: starting to get into this, but this is a big
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: fight Saturday, caromel usman verse r hey miss Vadal two. Yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: this is number two. I don't know how I'm gonna
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: watch this in Africa, but I got to see this.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I'm just starting to get into this man, this crazy
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: uh you know it was the one, the first one.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: He to beat Miss Vadal in the first meeting. But
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: but miss Vadal holds the record for the fastest knockout
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: in UFC, not the Nigerian night Man Junior, nor is
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the Nigerian night Man. The regular fights of three rounds
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: five minute rounds. The championship fight is five rounds, five minutes,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: five minutes of fighting, five minutes without going to sit down.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Wait a minute, but everything go though. They use elbow
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: feet dead in the mouth. If you put your toe
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: on my face when I do wake back up, no
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: ass needs to be in that locker room. You better
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: not be in this cage. No. Well, now they used
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: four hours gloves. They just bad gloves. They got the
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: ain't just barely covering their hands. So when you get
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: hit in the face, you feel the whole knuckle in
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: your you think you think you're fighting in nineteen twenty
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: and Jack Johnson then just hit your ass with them
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: tight as short, so with them and shoes with no socks.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: And to the dogs, they had fifty round fights back
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: in the day, fifty rounds. Dog, it was to you
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: one they would have fifty sixty round fights. That's that's
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: that's that's a whole day. That's like eight hours, Ain't
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: it that like a like a job? Man? Well, I'm
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: looking forward, man, I'm gonna get this fight. Man, I
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: got to see this. This is gonna be something. We
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: got to look forward. Just looking at me because I
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: hold you. I'm gonna have to put my money on
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: somebody named Nigeria Nightmare. Yeah, that's why I'm a little
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with somebody with a scary name, Nigeria
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: knight Man. Money going to him when he won the
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: last time he got up in the camera said I'm
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: a problem with some respect on my name. Problem. Yeah.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I'm scared to ladies fighting too. Oh yeah, amen, the
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: ladies in the UFC. There'll be some good fights, yes
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: they do. All right, Thank you Junior. Coming up at
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Carla's Reality update right after
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: this you're listening show, All right, come on, tell me
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: introduce that girl, ladies and gentlemen. She is here, the
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: one and only call a faroll with what reality update?
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: All right, thank you, coming in hot, thank you, sir,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: coming in. All right, Let's talk about married to medicine
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Robert L. Sharpton invited doctor dan Amen and doctor Heavenly
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: to conduct COVID testing for during the March on Washington.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Now this was back in August that they extended this
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: invitation and doctor Damon and his wife, doctor Heavenly, they
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: invited all of the married to medicine doctors to join
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: them in DC. They charted a private jed private planes.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: The doctors was doing it up big and they you know,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: got to DC and they accepted this mission and they
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: wanted to help and do what they can. And so
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: while at dinner and DC, Reverend Al Sharpton told the
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: doctors that providing COVID testing at the march was very
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: important because one of the reasons, he was saying, at
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: fifty seven years ago when doctor King, you know, had
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: the March on Washington, they didn't even have black doctors
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: like the doctors are married to medicine. So doctor al Sharpton,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I mean Reverend Al Sharpton was saying how important it
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: was for the doctors to be there, to be present
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: to test some of the marchers and COVID testing and
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: doing their part. And the doctors appreciated that. Also special guests,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: Attorney Ben Crump was on Married to Medicine. He was
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: just on our show about an hour or so ago
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: this morning, and Attorney ben Crump, he was a special
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: guest at the dinner too, and he talked to the
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: doctors about racism on what's going on in America, and
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: he talked to the doctors about racism in the medical field.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: And doctor Eugene, doctor Damon, and doctor Contessa, they all
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: talked to Benjamin Crump and they opened up about times
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: that they have dealt with racist patients and discussing with
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: the group. Benjamin Crump discussed with the group about how
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: moving forward. Okay, well you think you was sick when
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: you came in here. Yeah, I think you don't want
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: me to take care of you because I'm an African American.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: And they say they deal with that a lot as well.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: So you know, these doctors are their home basis in Atlanta,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: in Georgia, so they talked about that too. So they
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: talked about racism being a pandemic in America. So it
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: was a very very good episode. So shout out to
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Married to Medicine. You know, we love doctor Jackie. She
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: listens to the show all the time. Morning Doctor Jackie
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: moving on season finale a Real Housewives of Atlanta, who
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: thank goodness, that's man. I don't understand what was going
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: on this season. It was a lot happening and there
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: was almost a fight. Cynthia hosted this Christmas party, friend
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Miss party with the Christmas gifts and they were all
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: supposed to purchase a gift over a thousand dollars. Drew
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: did a gag gift and it was just a lot.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: It was just a lot going on. Drew was mad
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: at LaToya, saying she was sleeping with a family friend
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: who was a prophet and she's saying that LaToya broke
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: up this man's engagement. All kinds of drama. Yeah with
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: the prophet in the prophet? What's going on with was
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the prophet? Well, he probably told it was gonna happen something.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: The season is over, so next is the reunion show,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: so I will check out Real Housewives of Atlanta and
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Cynthia kicked the ladies out of the Christmas party because they,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: you know, almost started fighting in her house. You got
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: to go kick them out. Yeah, yeah, some lamas. She
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: had lamas at the Christmas party and then she kicked
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: him out for the Christmas carolers. Why we're out there
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: with them because it was a Christmas party. I guess
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: she was trying to do some holiday themed reindeer type.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I don't know. It was crazy, huh. But Michael Jackson
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: used to have lamas Steve, that's a Steve question, Never
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: lamas monkeys. He he had elephants bought in for a
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: special guest one time. Oh wow, elepha why elephants? All right,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Ephants stay though they got to go back right after
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: the event. I'm not gonna ask you why because we
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: don't have time, thank God, but we will be back
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this you're
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: listening to, well, it's time for tell me something good news,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. This is really good news. And Will
