- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like theming bu things and it's not true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good Steve has to mother for star, don't join Jo.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta turn hur, you gotta turn to turn them out,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out, to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come, come on your thing, I show will
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voss Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show, keep saying it can't stop. Man, oh man,
- 2:14Speaker 1: oh man, what a journey it has been. I thank
- 2:17Speaker 1: God for every single step of the way. I learned
- 2:20Speaker 1: to thank him for the bad times too, because it
- 2:23Speaker 1: taught me something. All the bad times, all the failures,
- 2:27Speaker 1: they became valuable experiences in my life. Every time I failed,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I learned a little bit more about getting up. Every
- 2:34Speaker 1: time I was told no, it moved me one step
- 2:36Speaker 1: closer to yes. It made me stronger, it tough in
- 2:39Speaker 1: my skin. It made me learn how to deal with haters.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It made me learn how to deal with people who
- 2:45Speaker 1: don't have your best interests at heart. Man, ain't y'all
- 2:48Speaker 1: all out there feeling me on this one right here.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It teaches you who is who in your life. It
- 2:55Speaker 1: shows you who you can depend on and who you can't.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, what it's taught
- 3:00Speaker 1: me most of all my hardships in my life, and
- 3:02Speaker 1: it's really about me and God. That is the one
- 3:07Speaker 1: factor that has been never changed in my life. God
- 3:11Speaker 1: has always been the same for me and for you
- 3:15Speaker 1: and for all of us. His word is true. It
- 3:19Speaker 1: don't waiver, it don't shake. You can shape it, readjust
- 3:22Speaker 1: it if you want to. It is really the way
- 3:24Speaker 1: it's written. It really is. You have your version of
- 3:27Speaker 1: it if you want to. But if you just read
- 3:30Speaker 1: it the way it is, it's real clear. Ain't no
- 3:32Speaker 1: loopholes in it. Every time you jump through a loophole,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that's something over that written that that counters that. So
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's what I want to get to today. Listen to me.
- 3:43Speaker 1: You got it within you, Oh it's there, Just use it.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Listen to me close. You got it within you. Oh
- 3:52Speaker 1: it's there, Just use it. If you hear me clearly,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm really fit to show you something this morning. You
- 4:00Speaker 1: got it within you, Oh it's there. Just use it, Steve,
- 4:04Speaker 1: what you're talking about. See, here's what's wrong with a
- 4:08Speaker 1: lot of people. Here's who's stopping so many people. You
- 4:13Speaker 1: keep looking. We keep looking for others to save us.
- 4:19Speaker 1: We keep looking for someone else to rescue us. We
- 4:23Speaker 1: always looking for some group of people or somebody to
- 4:27Speaker 1: accept us. We keep looking for someone else's approval. We
- 4:33Speaker 1: always looking for some group or somebody to deliver us, somebody,
- 4:39Speaker 1: some group of people to give us credibility, somebody or
- 4:44Speaker 1: some group of people who says we matter. We spend
- 4:49Speaker 1: so much time right there, and when the cavalry don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: come over the hill, when there ain't no saving and
- 4:55Speaker 1: ain't no deliverance, and then you don't get accepted, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: and don't nobody really come to save you, and the
- 5:01Speaker 1: don't nobody vouching for you and giving you credibility. It
- 5:04Speaker 1: throw you into something now, you into this little state
- 5:07Speaker 1: of man. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Oh
- 5:10Speaker 1: you got it within you? Oh is there? Just use it?
- 5:14Speaker 1: You want to know what the real deal is, y'all?
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's you and God, and it's the God in you. Man.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I wish I could explain this right to you today.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I want you to feel me on this right here,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and when you shake everything out the way, get rid
- 5:32Speaker 1: of all your expectations of people. The relationship you thought
- 5:36Speaker 1: was gonna last forever, that didn't make it, the child
- 5:39Speaker 1: that you wanted to be, this that turned out to
- 5:41Speaker 1: be that, your friend you thought was your friend, that
- 5:43Speaker 1: stabbed you in the back. You found out they wasn't
- 5:46Speaker 1: the job you thought was gonna keep you and you'd
- 5:48Speaker 1: retire on they didn't close down, gave you a pink slip.
- 5:51Speaker 1: All of this, man, that death promised that somebody told
- 5:54Speaker 1: you they was gonna loan you this money, and on
- 5:56Speaker 1: loan day they say they ain't got it. Oh man,
- 5:59Speaker 1: oh man, on man, this money you thought was gonna
- 6:02Speaker 1: come through on this check, the check ain't there? Oh man?
- 6:05Speaker 1: How many disappointments in life can you get? You thought
- 6:08Speaker 1: you had enough credit. I was to graduate. You found
- 6:11Speaker 1: out two weeks before you didn't. You can't grat all this,
- 6:14Speaker 1: hit man, what's gonna happen? Man, look at the disappointment
- 6:17Speaker 1: in my life right now. But let me explain something
- 6:21Speaker 1: to you. When you get rid of all of that,
- 6:24Speaker 1: guess what you really got? You got God, that's the
- 6:27Speaker 1: whole enchilada. Baby, that's the ball of wax. That's the
- 6:30Speaker 1: monkeys in the barrel, that's the bag of chips. Listen
- 6:33Speaker 1: to me. If you got God, do you understand that
- 6:36Speaker 1: that's sufficient, That that's all you need. Can you feel
- 6:40Speaker 1: me now? You and God and the God in you,
- 6:46Speaker 1: it's really what you need. Stop looking for all these
- 6:49Speaker 1: outside sources for approval, to gain acceptance, to get credibility,
- 6:54Speaker 1: somebody to save you. The cavalry coming over the hill.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Why won't they recognize me? Why I won't they give
- 7:00Speaker 1: me closure? Why they fire me? Why they foe closing
- 7:04Speaker 1: on my house? Don't they know I'm laid off. When
- 7:06Speaker 1: you get through it all, it at whining, It's gonna
- 7:10Speaker 1: come down to you and God and the God in you.
- 7:14Speaker 1: If God created man in his own image, God is
- 7:19Speaker 1: a part of you, that is a peace of you.
- 7:21Speaker 1: That's godly. I don't care who you are. I don't
- 7:24Speaker 1: care what mistake you made. The murderer that's sitting in
- 7:28Speaker 1: jail today because of a moment in his life that
- 7:32Speaker 1: he's now paying for, has God in you? The biggest
- 7:36Speaker 1: criminal When he gets through criminalizing or whatever you want
- 7:40Speaker 1: to call it, he's sitting there by hisself. That is
- 7:43Speaker 1: a peace of God in him that lets him know
- 7:46Speaker 1: this ain't the way. This wrong. You can love his
- 7:49Speaker 1: money if you want to put you out of line,
- 7:51Speaker 1: and you're gonna pay at the end of the day,
- 7:54Speaker 1: when I get through on this microphone, on this TV,
- 7:57Speaker 1: all these articles, when I get through it, all of that,
- 8:00Speaker 1: or to come down to because see, it ain't always
- 8:02Speaker 1: been this way for me. Yeah, I've been trying to
- 8:04Speaker 1: get here, trying to get that. Listen to me. It's
- 8:07Speaker 1: been me and God and it's been the God in me.
- 8:11Speaker 1: When I woke up a few years back and I
- 8:14Speaker 1: realized that's really what it was, it changed my whole life.
- 8:18Speaker 1: It changed my whole life. Your whole life can get
- 8:21Speaker 1: changed when you realize that it's really you and God
- 8:24Speaker 1: and the God in you. Really man. People disappoint you,
- 8:28Speaker 1: You argue with people, You fall out with people, You
- 8:31Speaker 1: break up with people, You divorce people. You got people
- 8:34Speaker 1: who you thought was friends, all of a sudden you
- 8:35Speaker 1: find out they're talking about it's crazy out here. You've
- 8:38Speaker 1: been going, what's going on? What's really going on? But
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's because guess what you got all yours banked on them?
- 8:46Speaker 1: When you're gonna banking on the one thing that you
- 8:48Speaker 1: can count on. God's word ain't changing. We got him.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It's solid. If you pray, believe, work hard, don't doubt
- 8:56Speaker 1: you get whatever you ask for. That's a fact that
- 8:59Speaker 1: ain't no rumor. Speaple out here doing it every day. Now,
- 9:02Speaker 1: if you ain't trying that, listen to me. You got
- 9:04Speaker 1: it within you. Oh it is there. You just got
- 9:08Speaker 1: to use it. There is a weapon available to man
- 9:10Speaker 1: called prayer. Use that. See. I look at my life, man,
- 9:14Speaker 1: whenever I get a little shaky, I look back. Or
- 9:16Speaker 1: hey man, I ain't really talk with him too much yesterday.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Oh tightened up. I'm just telling you real. You got
- 9:24Speaker 1: a better answer. Oh oh, oh, I know what. Oh,
- 9:27Speaker 1: oh my bad, Steve. Now, Steve, I ain't winning cause
- 9:30Speaker 1: they ain't get me the loan or naw, Steve, I
- 9:32Speaker 1: ain't winning because she left me. He left me. I
- 9:34Speaker 1: ain't winning, Steve, because I got steck with these kids.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I got a divorce. They fired me. How they foreclothes
- 9:40Speaker 1: on my home. That's why I ain't winning. You ain't
- 9:42Speaker 1: winning because you ain't praying. You got to pray and
- 9:44Speaker 1: believe in work. That's the key. Come on, man, you
- 9:49Speaker 1: got it within you. Oh it's there. You just got
- 9:52Speaker 1: to use it. It's just you and God and it's
- 9:54Speaker 1: the God in you. And what y'all gonna do about that?
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening morning? Whoa two one, two three four? I

- 19:18Speaker 1: my girlfriend is blessed, highly favored, saved, And she said,

- 19:27Speaker 1: wrote it out. I'm gonna tell you, but but you
- 19:30Speaker 1: let me ask you something though. Twenty years ago, you
- 19:32Speaker 1: you you, it had been a little different. Oh, twenty
- 19:35Speaker 1: years ago. I had to pick you up and dropped
- 19:39Speaker 1: you back down, looked at you and walks all you
- 19:42Speaker 1: after I got to cussing you out. But that was
- 19:44Speaker 1: twenty years ago. Thank the Lord for the liver. Who oh,
- 19:49Speaker 1: my legs shaking, hings the police. I gotta ask you,
- 19:56Speaker 1: what is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 20:00Speaker 1: show in the land. Oh, I must say the Steed
- 20:03Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. What me world's greatest stupidity? Is nephew
- 20:19Speaker 1: telling me all right, world's great bats. Oh, there's there's
- 20:26Speaker 1: a lot that want to want to stand up to

- 20:32Speaker 1: that world's great talk about world's greatest stupid? Only only
- 20:36Speaker 1: great stupid? No group of y'all, I'm the world's greatest began?
- 20:44Speaker 1: Have you coming up next? Asked the CELLO Chief Love
- 20:49Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey and the building for your love questions.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Entertainment News
- 21:01Speaker 1: fifty cent asked Oprah and Tyler to apologize to Monique
- 21:05Speaker 1: because he's an her career. Yep, yep, yep. I was
- 21:13Speaker 1: going to see her back for one uh. Also in
- 21:16Speaker 1: trending Entertainment News, what Jesse Smollett is released from jail.
- 21:22Speaker 1: He just got in there. Wait a minute. We're gonna
- 21:25Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the top of
- 21:26Speaker 1: the hour, but right now it is time to ask
- 21:30Speaker 1: the CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. CHRISTI and Southfield says,
- 21:35Speaker 1: my boyfriend and I broke up because he doesn't understand
- 21:39Speaker 1: that he can't have a female best friend. I may
- 21:42Speaker 1: be scared or scarred, I should say, because I slept
- 21:46Speaker 1: with a longtime friend of mine and that made me
- 21:48Speaker 1: a firm believer that men and women can't be that
- 21:51Speaker 1: close without crossing the line. Did I do the right
- 21:54Speaker 1: thing around my tripping? Well, I've said it a hundred
- 22:02Speaker 1: times on this show. I don't see the benefit of it.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I don't know how it how it's going to work.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I've seen it cause way more problems than I have
- 22:13Speaker 1: be a benefit. Now you can say you can do it,
- 22:15Speaker 1: but I'm gonna tell you right now, if the man
- 22:18Speaker 1: finds the woman attractive, he's gonna be able to stand
- 22:21Speaker 1: that lane. He can't stand that lane. We got were guys.
- 22:27Speaker 1: We can't get stuck on the elevator together ten minutes
- 22:32Speaker 1: it's high, can't have a sious talks about your love life,
- 22:39Speaker 1: none of that. Can't hold you and comfort you, none
- 22:43Speaker 1: of that. And what friends do we get? You're a friend,
- 22:46Speaker 1: you're my friend. That's what you think. That's what you think,
- 22:49Speaker 1: that's what we want you to think. Slip up and
- 22:53Speaker 1: see what we bet You've never been my friend all along.
- 22:57Speaker 1: It's what you're saying. Ever, it's gonna be some sexy consoling.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm just telling you you talk about me and you should. No. No, no,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm just talking about men and women in general. No.
- 23:11Speaker 1: So you've never been my friend, my best friend. Can
- 23:14Speaker 1: nobody like you like that? Just be your damn friend?
- 23:21Speaker 1: Where on this show? Yeah? What? Why do men like
- 23:25Speaker 1: to be in the friend zone? You married your ego, right,
- 23:30Speaker 1: so you're married. That's different. You ain't. Marrid watched it
- 23:43Speaker 1: on Christie looking over the balcony with somebody behind you.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So to Christie, she's not tripping. She's right. He cannot
- 23:53Speaker 1: have a female best friend. I'm moving on the coda
- 23:57Speaker 1: In Atlanta, Coda says, I'm a newly wed and my
- 24:00Speaker 1: husband is a basketball coach for a community team. He
- 24:04Speaker 1: was supposed to be at a game on the other
- 24:06Speaker 1: side of town last Saturday, but I walked up on
- 24:08Speaker 1: him at a restaurant with some of his players. Why
- 24:11Speaker 1: couldn't he call to tell me he was done early
- 24:13Speaker 1: and asked me to join them for dinner? Why because
- 24:16Speaker 1: it's a basketball team meeting? Yeah, dinner, won't wife? Or
- 24:21Speaker 1: you wasn't at the game. What you want to be
- 24:23Speaker 1: at the celebration? Mad at him? Fault. He was with
- 24:27Speaker 1: his players at a restaurant. That's what coaches do. It's
- 24:32Speaker 1: part of the team. Coda. You're tripping. He you can't
- 24:35Speaker 1: go everywhere? Did that didn't have a lane? You have
- 24:38Speaker 1: a lane? Oh? Want you down at the gym? Be quiet, shilly,
- 24:43Speaker 1: You don't see this day. You don't see this. I'm
- 24:46Speaker 1: just saying. I mean, I get that, you know he
- 24:49Speaker 1: wants to hang out with the players, but he could
- 24:51Speaker 1: have just called her and said, you know whatever, because
- 24:53Speaker 1: she was expecting him to be someplace else. That's where's
- 24:56Speaker 1: your consideration. Well, you rolled up on him and you
- 24:59Speaker 1: found out what he was really doing. What's the big deal?
- 25:02Speaker 1: And he wasn't doing nothing wrong lying, He wasn't for
- 25:07Speaker 1: what her when y'all he went the boys, Yeah, but
- 25:15Speaker 1: shopping is different when y'all shop, y'all. As for consideration
- 25:19Speaker 1: to buy, y'all, y'all know every day he wouldn't ask
- 25:25Speaker 1: you question. Shirley time for y'all. Nobody agreeing on this one.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Uh all right. Titian silver Spring says, I'm at this
- 25:36Speaker 1: cute guy at a house party and we exchanged numbers
- 25:38Speaker 1: and he walked me to my car. While we were walking,
- 25:41Speaker 1: he passed gas loudly and he said he couldn't wait
- 25:45Speaker 1: to get that out. I was horrified, horrified, but he
- 25:50Speaker 1: acted like it was normal. He's called me since then,
- 25:53Speaker 1: but I haven't called him back. Should I go out
- 25:55Speaker 1: with him? He's way molding that where that called from?
- 26:01Speaker 1: That's that's on the first initial date. He ain't had
- 26:04Speaker 1: no problem with that girl. He got so much stuff
- 26:06Speaker 1: he can't wait to do that. That's just the car man. Yeah,
- 26:15Speaker 1: you get up in that house. You ain't gonna leave
- 26:17Speaker 1: what's up in there? That boy, that boy on the
- 26:24Speaker 1: ears the day, If that's his putting his best foot forward,
- 26:30Speaker 1: if that's his best first impression, you ain't here for
- 26:33Speaker 1: a rude awakening lady the way, Yeah, how do you?
- 26:38Speaker 1: How are you walking with a woman in past gusts
- 26:42Speaker 1: loudly and you say I couldn't wait to get that out?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Like we cool? Like that though? Cool? He didn't even
- 26:49Speaker 1: try to play it off for nothing. I can't even
- 26:52Speaker 1: do that in front of my partner, My dude, Yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 1: it's a respect. Oh yeah, he didn't even do it.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Say get down, they shoot. He's saying nothing something, so
- 27:06Speaker 1: he's nasty, all right, Maurice, and Jolliett says, I'm twenty five.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I'm dating a beautiful girl that is very self centered.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It's all about her all the time, even during sex.
- 27:17Speaker 1: If she is done, then we're done. And I've had
- 27:20Speaker 1: many sleepless nights because she won't allow me to finish.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm not very experienced in this area, So help me out.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Is this normal for a woman to control this? No? Dog,
- 27:30Speaker 1: get out now? Yeah, he's finishing and you ain't. And
- 27:34Speaker 1: and that's just it. Yeah, it normally go the other way.
- 27:41Speaker 1: If it's going this way, right here, you and for
- 27:43Speaker 1: a life of disappointment. I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 27:47Speaker 1: This is my strong suggestion to you, because you and
- 27:51Speaker 1: all y'all dating strongly suggest I got it, she beautiful,
- 27:56Speaker 1: got all that. I recommend this, Hi, did you get
- 28:01Speaker 1: yourself aside chick? That highly recommend You're gonna let you finish,
- 28:10Speaker 1: boy boy, and tell her what your problem is and
- 28:14Speaker 1: watch the show boy you ain't gonna be tell how
- 28:19Speaker 1: many times you're gonna get to finish side chick. I've
- 28:25Speaker 1: never recommended that before, but you never have side chick
- 28:30Speaker 1: get to finish just because she's self centered and you
- 28:35Speaker 1: know she likes to move on. I've had them for
- 28:39Speaker 1: less reasons than that show. So yeah twenty one, Yeah, yeah, Steve, Steve,
- 28:50Speaker 1: can we talk? What talk? He's gonna hang in there
- 28:56Speaker 1: with her because she's beautiful. All right, thank you, Cello.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Coming up next, we'll have some entertainment news at the
- 29:05Speaker 1: top of the hour. Right after this. You're listening to
- 29:08Speaker 1: This Day Morning show. Okay, Well, fifty cents says he's
- 29:14Speaker 1: on a mission to boost Monique's career. As we told you. Monique,
- 29:18Speaker 1: of course, is accused Oprah. She's accused Tyler and Lee Daniels,
- 29:22Speaker 1: the director of blackmailing her, black balling her, I should
- 29:26Speaker 1: say not blackmailing. Those are two different things. Blackballing her
- 29:30Speaker 1: in Hollywood. Now, fifty cent thinks it's time to let
- 29:33Speaker 1: by guns be by guns. He wants to let things go.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Tommy fifty says, I'm sure you know how you don't
- 29:43Speaker 1: like to let things go Monique. We love Monique. I'm
- 29:48Speaker 1: sure Oprah and Tyler would not want to continue to
- 29:51Speaker 1: allow their influence to damage Monique's career. And this has
- 29:55Speaker 1: gone on too far okay for far too long, wrote
- 30:00Speaker 1: in the caption of a video post explaining the situation.
- 30:04Speaker 1: He says, so now will be a great time to apologize,
- 30:07Speaker 1: because I'm gonna put her back on. After the post,
- 30:11Speaker 1: Fifty spoke with Tyler and posting an update. Tyler said
- 30:16Speaker 1: he would never tell anyone not to hire Monique and
- 30:20Speaker 1: he is happy that he decided to work with her.
- 30:23Speaker 1: He also said that Tyler couldn't speak for Oprah, but
- 30:26Speaker 1: he is sure Oprah is fine with Monique and has
- 30:29Speaker 1: even brought her up for things Monique has no idea about.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Tyler went on to say, I'm so happy for Moe
- 30:35Speaker 1: right now, and we're happy too. That's what That's what's
- 30:39Speaker 1: going on. She's getting back on. That's good though. Good,
- 30:43Speaker 1: Let's move on. Yeah life, Yeah, Hey, So I saw fifty.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I went to Houston Rockets game versus Phoenix last night,
- 30:55Speaker 1: and you know, fifty lives in Houston. So fifty was
- 30:59Speaker 1: sitting courtside and the announcer went over to him and said, hey,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I got something for you. So the announcer for the
- 31:06Speaker 1: game had him look up at the mascot. You know
- 31:08Speaker 1: how they have the there's a bear that's a mascot
- 31:11Speaker 1: for the Rockets. He was muscular. He had on the
- 31:15Speaker 1: tank top was hanging upside down from the ride. You
- 31:18Speaker 1: like it, and and the mascot was hanging upside that
- 31:29Speaker 1: redid the whole man. Everybody was cracking up, the players,
- 31:37Speaker 1: Chris Paul, Jalen Green. It was funny. It was really
- 31:41Speaker 1: really funny. That sounds funny. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, welcome yeah.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Loving the show, uh Power the Forest with Tommy, I
- 31:57Speaker 1: love it, I love it, I love it, Yes, and
- 32:04Speaker 1: other entertainment news. Jesse Small lets out. A judge found
- 32:12Speaker 1: that because jesse H's offenses were non violent, the court
- 32:16Speaker 1: would allow him to be released on a one hundred
- 32:19Speaker 1: and fifty thousand dollars individual bond during his appeal. Now,
- 32:23Speaker 1: under the terms of the one ivon, he won't have
- 32:28Speaker 1: to actually pay unless he skipped his court court dates,
- 32:31Speaker 1: So that's another good thing for Jesse Naturally, Special Prosecutor
- 32:36Speaker 1: Dan Webb opposed Jesse's release. The way he sees it,
- 32:41Speaker 1: there was no emergency that warrants the extraordinary relief of
- 32:44Speaker 1: staying the sentence. He went on to say that jesse
- 32:47Speaker 1: didn't provide any real proof that he was in real
- 32:50Speaker 1: danger and used a curse cursory woefully undeveloped argument okay,
- 32:58Speaker 1: that all of its art were underdeveloped. I don't know,
- 33:03Speaker 1: whatever it was. Whatever it was, he didn't like his
- 33:07Speaker 1: arguments and saying they weren't enough to keep him out
- 33:10Speaker 1: of jail. Uh to or to sway the court and
- 33:13Speaker 1: the state's response to the motion for relief. Either way,
- 33:17Speaker 1: Jesse Smallutt is free. All right, how was your week? Jesse?
- 33:22Speaker 1: When somebody asked him that, well, I was in jail.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I was out of jail. Yeah, because I thought the
- 33:30Speaker 1: punishment did not fit the crime. It was way too much.
- 33:33Speaker 1: So good for him. Yeah, I don't think this period. Yeah,
- 33:39Speaker 1: and I hope it's learned something right through this whole ordeal.
- 33:43Speaker 1: You know, don't lie on, you know, come on, just
- 33:47Speaker 1: get it together. We're glad you're out of jail. But
- 33:50Speaker 1: were glad you out? Yeah? Well, why do you say
- 33:53Speaker 1: it's too much? It's just too much. It's so many
- 33:57Speaker 1: crimes going on in the country. This is this is
- 33:59Speaker 1: really minor compared to everything else is going on. How
- 34:02Speaker 1: many more crimes we got going on in this country?
- 34:05Speaker 1: Just want more attention than this? Yeah, yeah, in this
- 34:09Speaker 1: country out of this country. It's a lot going on
- 34:12Speaker 1: in the world. YEP. I agree with you the same, Mandela.
- 34:18Speaker 1: We needn't hit from the Civil Rights Act. Come on
- 34:22Speaker 1: here about a footland? Same and what else was some
- 34:26Speaker 1: But yeah, if you if you, if the time doesn't
- 34:31Speaker 1: fit the crime and he's free, then that's good news.
- 34:35Speaker 1: I do. I do understand that there's also other men,
- 34:38Speaker 1: other people women in jail that aren't innocent, that didn't
- 34:42Speaker 1: get the attention, the media attention that Jesse got ya
- 34:46Speaker 1: and they're still behind bars. We got hash hashtags Free Jesse. Yeah, yeah, yes,
- 34:52Speaker 1: he would watch no. And what I don't like about
- 34:59Speaker 1: it is that they're people that are victims of racial
- 35:02Speaker 1: crimes and all that stuff, you know, every single day,
- 35:06Speaker 1: every single day, and then he used this particular situation
- 35:09Speaker 1: to his advantage. That's what I don't like. It. Still
- 35:12Speaker 1: didn't deserve the amount of time he got. But I
- 35:15Speaker 1: don't like that that he he didn't kill nobody. I
- 35:17Speaker 1: don't hear. I don't like that at all. Yeah, and
- 35:20Speaker 1: that's why I say, yeah, I hope he learned something
- 35:23Speaker 1: from this experience. And I'll get somewhere and sit down,
- 35:25Speaker 1: try to revive your career, Jessie. And what did this
- 35:30Speaker 1: from what we all think that this steam the attention
- 35:33Speaker 1: that he was trying to get why he staged it
- 35:35Speaker 1: in the first places, that we empire, empire And yeah, negotiations, Yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 1: all right, coming up next, we do not have to
- 35:46Speaker 1: turn our clocks back. What no more daylight saving time.
- 35:51Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening. Well, guys,
- 35:57Speaker 1: some good news. Congress, you now animously pass the Sunshine
- 36:01Speaker 1: Protection Act. What is the Sunshine Protection Act? Well, it
- 36:05Speaker 1: is a measure that would make daylight savings time permanent
- 36:09Speaker 1: across the US next year. And yes, right, yes, and
- 36:14Speaker 1: this would ensure Americans would no longer have to change
- 36:18Speaker 1: their clocks twice a year. But but but the bill
- 36:21Speaker 1: still needs the approval from the House and the signature
- 36:25Speaker 1: of President Joe bite Law I never please sign this.
- 36:31Speaker 1: If this is something you can do, no more switching clocks,
- 36:38Speaker 1: more daylight hours, which is what we all love to
- 36:40Speaker 1: spend outside after school, after work, more smiles. This is
- 36:44Speaker 1: what we get um with permanent daylight savings time. This
- 36:49Speaker 1: is Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts saying this. He is
- 36:52Speaker 1: the originator of the original co sponsor of the legislation.
- 36:56Speaker 1: So what do you prefer, guys, you prefer spring forward
- 36:59Speaker 1: or fall back? Like you know, sleeping, Yeah, yeah, more daylight? Yeah, so, oh,
- 37:05Speaker 1: golf time. You know. I was listening to the lady
- 37:08Speaker 1: that was presenting the build on TV the other day,
- 37:10Speaker 1: and she said, it just doesn't make sense for all
- 37:14Speaker 1: of us to have to lose an entire hours of
- 37:18Speaker 1: sleep and rest just to spring this clock forward. That's ridiculous.
- 37:23Speaker 1: So many people have lost an hour for no reason.
- 37:30Speaker 1: We like it coming fun, just trying to come some
- 37:32Speaker 1: more daylight. Yeah, it's one damn hour. It's oh we
- 37:37Speaker 1: up now? Yeah? Yeah, yeah. I remember growing up in Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 1: in Chicago, it was like dark at four thirty dark.
- 37:46Speaker 1: He got dark at four thirty up day. I was concerned, Yeah,
- 37:50Speaker 1: thirty especially because man, it gets when that sun leaves,
- 37:56Speaker 1: that cold just comes. It's wicked. It's dark and wicked.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yes time, my grandmother fall asleep on me every time,
- 38:05Speaker 1: and get done. I can't hold no conversation and nothing.
- 38:09Speaker 1: She's and then you know, Joyce called and right in
- 38:13Speaker 1: four thirty thirty, but it's early, but it's late because
- 38:18Speaker 1: it's dark. Look, you're gonna have a natural loss of
- 38:23Speaker 1: sunlight every anywhere because of the rotation of the earth
- 38:27Speaker 1: and all of that. You're gonna have a natural and
- 38:31Speaker 1: I on top of it. ND make no damn dark
- 38:34Speaker 1: at five to six o'clock. Yeah, cool, let's do it.
- 38:38Speaker 1: It'll happen next year. So this is cool. Yeah, Congress
- 38:42Speaker 1: can come together on that. They can't vote on that.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Voting right back, I know thet thing, the little thing. Oh,
- 38:49Speaker 1: they're gonna vote that. End you can have your daytime breath.
- 38:56Speaker 1: So junior, what's your grandmother say again? And then you know,
- 38:59Speaker 1: Joyce that came about. End all thirty five so certain,
- 39:08Speaker 1: all right? Coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:10Speaker 1: we're gonna check Steve's voicemail eight seven seven twenty nine Steve.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show time
- 39:21Speaker 1: now to check Steve's voicemail. And if you would like
- 39:24Speaker 1: to leave Steve a boy'smail, all you have to do
- 39:26Speaker 1: is call eight seven seven twenty nine Steve. You could
- 39:29Speaker 1: he hear your message on the air with us. It's
- 39:32Speaker 1: just that simple, okay, So Steve, you're ready for our listeners.
- 39:38Speaker 1: This caller wants to ask the clo a question. What's
- 39:41Speaker 1: going on, Steve Harvey got a question for you? So, um,
- 39:45Speaker 1: kind of in the dam a little bit in my relationship.
- 39:48Speaker 1: So I wanted to propose for my woman, but um,
- 39:52Speaker 1: I went to another woman for advice. Yeah. No, probably
- 39:55Speaker 1: not the best of the situation. So um, there was
- 39:59Speaker 1: a little a bit of you know, blirting going back
- 40:02Speaker 1: and forth between lady and uh. My woman accused me
- 40:06Speaker 1: of having some type of relations with it lady. Um,
- 40:09Speaker 1: I wanted to do it as a surprise and not teller.
- 40:11Speaker 1: But you know, we moved on from the situation. But
- 40:13Speaker 1: it seems like every now and then the topic comes
- 40:16Speaker 1: back up, and I was wondering, how can you help
- 40:18Speaker 1: me out? Thank you well bro. As far as the
- 40:21Speaker 1: subject coming back up every now and then, that's forever. Yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 1: we don't, don't. I don't have a real answer for
- 40:34Speaker 1: you on let that one is. Fuck ever, it will
- 40:38Speaker 1: come up at some of the most inappropriate moments, but
- 40:41Speaker 1: I will I will tell you, uh, every year on
- 40:46Speaker 1: that day that it came up before the elephant minded
- 40:52Speaker 1: women that they all will remember that exact day. If
- 40:56Speaker 1: you had on a white shirt that day, every time
- 40:59Speaker 1: you had on a white shirt, sh bring it. If
- 41:03Speaker 1: one anybody has a name that starts with the same
- 41:07Speaker 1: letter as the Carol you went over to get advice from,
- 41:12Speaker 1: she'll bring it up. So the bringing it up, bro
- 41:15Speaker 1: is gonna be forever. I do think you should move
- 41:18Speaker 1: on with the proposal because in your mind it was
- 41:22Speaker 1: a mistake you made, and you found out that you
- 41:24Speaker 1: didn't need anybody's advice on you because the love you
- 41:28Speaker 1: have for her, it's unexplainable and for anybody else to
- 41:32Speaker 1: even try to understand it, it's just mind blowing to you.
- 41:36Speaker 1: And you've learned that your love is much deeper than
- 41:39Speaker 1: a conversation with another female and wife. And interject that
- 41:42Speaker 1: into the relationship and you will foreverhol your relationship as
- 41:46Speaker 1: a two handed circle from now on. Let the church say, hey,
- 41:49Speaker 1: many many man, but I did. That's the same thing
- 41:53Speaker 1: you told Carolyn though. But it's all right, Uncle Steve.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Uncle Steve just helped you out. Brother, paying no to
- 42:01Speaker 1: the ladies because your problem is Hello, this color appreciates you, Steve.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Let's hear what they have to say. Hey, Steve, you
- 42:10Speaker 1: know I listen to you all the time. My name
- 42:13Speaker 1: is Nicky, and you know when I listen to you.
- 42:16Speaker 1: You make me so so much better, you know what,
- 42:18Speaker 1: because I have everything everybody against me where I live
- 42:21Speaker 1: at and my family and everything like that, and just
- 42:24Speaker 1: listening to you and your comb I just feel feel
- 42:28Speaker 1: I feel feel good. It's just like you just make
- 42:30Speaker 1: my days. You make mine, my dad, my job, when
- 42:34Speaker 1: I'm driving in my cause everything. And I just listen
- 42:39Speaker 1: to you. Thank you because when you say the spiritual
- 42:42Speaker 1: things in the morning, I listen to what I'm like.
- 42:44Speaker 1: What I listen to wordp just can and it's just
- 42:47Speaker 1: to be about me with haters, envy, jealous. And I'm
- 42:53Speaker 1: a single woman. I'm fifty three years old and I
- 42:55Speaker 1: live by myself and I love I love God. I
- 42:58Speaker 1: love God so much. Like get up in the morning,
- 42:59Speaker 1: I say, got you fast on my house, thank you,
- 43:02Speaker 1: and just the evilness I kid and I'm just so
- 43:05Speaker 1: tired of it. But I'll just say every time I
- 43:07Speaker 1: hear you and the crew there, I love you. Keep
- 43:12Speaker 1: up the work by by oh wow. I have to
- 43:17Speaker 1: give all that credit and honor to God Almighty because
- 43:20Speaker 1: God places things on me to say. I'm not always
- 43:25Speaker 1: even responsible for saying it. I'm be honest with you.
- 43:28Speaker 1: A lot of times I don't know what to say,
- 43:30Speaker 1: and then I'll lower my head and ask God to
- 43:33Speaker 1: give me something. So I have to give all that
- 43:35Speaker 1: credit and honor to God. That that part you see
- 43:38Speaker 1: of me, that good part, that's that's the part that
- 43:41Speaker 1: I allow God to reside and the Holy Spirit to
- 43:46Speaker 1: take over for me. So that's all God. I thank
- 43:48Speaker 1: you for recognizing that portion of the God in me,
- 43:52Speaker 1: and hopefully I'll have more of that to be shown.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I'm working on that though, because there's a large percentage
- 43:58Speaker 1: of me that's not really a day. If you want
- 44:02Speaker 1: to leave Steve a message, call his voicemail at eight
- 44:05Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine. Steve, we just might play your
- 44:08Speaker 1: message on the air. Coming up next, it is a

- 54:06Speaker 1: back seat and the Barbershop. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a
- 54:10Speaker 1: married woman in my late forties. I have a boyfriend
- 54:14Speaker 1: that's five years younger than I am, and he's also married.
- 54:17Speaker 1: He's a co owner of a barbershop, and that's where
- 54:20Speaker 1: we met. That's where I met him. We've been seeing
- 54:23Speaker 1: each other for a few weeks and he's got long
- 54:26Speaker 1: work hours, so we have to have sex whenever and
- 54:29Speaker 1: wherever we can. The first time we were intimate, it
- 54:33Speaker 1: was magical. I made an appointment to get my lock shampoo,
- 54:37Speaker 1: and I had no idea it would be done by
- 54:40Speaker 1: a big, handsome man with magical fingers. Wow. We were
- 54:44Speaker 1: the only two in the barbershop and he asked me
- 54:47Speaker 1: to remove my turtlenecks so it wouldn't get wet. I
- 54:50Speaker 1: knew he was flirting because I'd never been asked to
- 54:53Speaker 1: remove my shirt to get my hair washed. I did it,
- 54:57Speaker 1: and I leaned back in the chair with my ample
- 54:59Speaker 1: bo some filling out of my black lace bra. He
- 55:03Speaker 1: told me that he is all man and my breasts
- 55:07Speaker 1: were making it hard for him to work. He leaned
- 55:10Speaker 1: against me while he shampooed my hair, and I could
- 55:13Speaker 1: feel it pressed up on my arm. It was at
- 55:17Speaker 1: eye level, so as he shampooed my hair, I did
- 55:20Speaker 1: what I had to do. Since then, I've been going
- 55:23Speaker 1: by his shop a few days a week. When there
- 55:26Speaker 1: are other customers inside the barbershop, we go out to
- 55:29Speaker 1: the back seat of his car. We're either in his
- 55:32Speaker 1: barbershop or on the back seat. I would love to
- 55:36Speaker 1: stretch out and thoroughly enjoy myself, but he's always got
- 55:39Speaker 1: clients to get back to. It's the quickest, most enjoyable
- 55:44Speaker 1: sex I've had in a long time. I tried to
- 55:47Speaker 1: arrange a meetup for us in the past weekend. This
- 55:49Speaker 1: past weekend, and he said he can't see me outside
- 55:52Speaker 1: of work hours because he's a family man first. How
- 55:57Speaker 1: can he say this, after all the kinky things he's
- 55:59Speaker 1: done to me. I offered to get us a hotel room,
- 56:02Speaker 1: and he said, no. Why is he putting limits on
- 56:06Speaker 1: our affair? Why is he putting limits on your affair?
- 56:11Speaker 1: You haven't figured it out yet. You're just the back
- 56:14Speaker 1: seat girl. Okay, he's not trying to have anything more
- 56:18Speaker 1: than that with you. You were too easy the first
- 56:21Speaker 1: day in the barbershop. You were doing too much. Then
- 56:24Speaker 1: now you want to stretch out and get comfortable and
- 56:27Speaker 1: what make love. No, he just wants to do you
- 56:30Speaker 1: in the back seat of his car and get back
- 56:33Speaker 1: to his clients. Okay, that's it. You want to turn
- 56:36Speaker 1: things up and have a full blown affair or something
- 56:39Speaker 1: with this guy, but that's not happening. You're just some
- 56:41Speaker 1: merry chick he's got on the side. Stop trying to
- 56:44Speaker 1: make this more than what it is. It's not. He's
- 56:48Speaker 1: not gonna get too involved with you because he's a
- 56:51Speaker 1: family man. First. That's what he said. You don't mean
- 56:54Speaker 1: anything to him. You're not important to him. Isn't this obvious.
- 56:57Speaker 1: He's not going out of his way for you. He's
- 56:59Speaker 1: not spending any money on you any time. Really, other
- 57:02Speaker 1: than the quickies, and he's not gonna take you anywhere nice. Well,
- 57:06Speaker 1: where is your husband? Anyway? While all this is going on,
- 57:09Speaker 1: I say to you, get your dignity back. Stop being
- 57:13Speaker 1: the back seat girl. Leave this man alone. He's going
- 57:17Speaker 1: to end it anyway because you're you're gonna become a
- 57:19Speaker 1: problem to him. You're catching feelings you want more than
- 57:23Speaker 1: he's willing to give, and that's not a good look
- 57:26Speaker 1: for him, this married man who puts his family first. Steve.
- 57:31Speaker 1: It amazes me how people send these letters in and
- 57:35Speaker 1: they just start typing like his natural The subject is
- 57:40Speaker 1: the back seat and the barbershop. Let me walk you
- 57:43Speaker 1: through this unnatural natural. Let dear Stephen Sherley, I'm a
- 57:48Speaker 1: married woman in my late forties. Okay, I have a
- 57:52Speaker 1: boyfriend that's five years younger than I am and he's
- 57:57Speaker 1: also married. You don't see how this letter is just
- 58:01Speaker 1: in took so many damn terms, yes, and you know,
- 58:06Speaker 1: just be typing like, well, okay, that's just what's happening.
- 58:09Speaker 1: You know, I'm in my late fartis. I got a boyfriend.
- 58:13Speaker 1: It's five years younger than me, and he married too.
- 58:16Speaker 1: He's a co owner of a barbershop, and that's why
- 58:19Speaker 1: I met him. We've been seeing each other for a
- 58:22Speaker 1: few weeks now and he's got long workouts. He owns
- 58:27Speaker 1: a barbershop, he's the co owner. So we have to
- 58:31Speaker 1: have sex whenever and wherever we can. Right down what
- 58:40Speaker 1: you have to have sex? But you don't though, See,
- 58:44Speaker 1: you created this and now you're telling us something before
- 58:48Speaker 1: you even told us how I jumped off. But I'm
- 58:50Speaker 1: gonna tell you. Why are you having sex whenever and
- 58:53Speaker 1: whoever you can? The first time we were intimate, it
- 58:57Speaker 1: was magical. I had no want me to get my
- 59:00Speaker 1: lock shampoo that I had no idea would be done
- 59:03Speaker 1: by big handsome man with magical fingers. We were the
- 59:05Speaker 1: only two in the barbershop. He asked you to take
- 59:09Speaker 1: off your turtlenecks so it wouldn't get wet. He washing
- 59:13Speaker 1: your head or washing your neck? Right? What if we
- 59:22Speaker 1: head washing? Are we neck washing? Right? Right? What we're doing?
- 59:28Speaker 1: So now he asked you to take your turtleneck also
- 59:31Speaker 1: it wouldn't get wet. And you knew he was flirting
- 59:35Speaker 1: because you ain't never been an ass to take your
- 59:36Speaker 1: shirt off get your head washing. I did it and
- 59:40Speaker 1: leaned back. Well, what you want now? You to lean
- 59:43Speaker 1: back in the chair with your ample bosom spilling out
- 59:46Speaker 1: of my black lace bra You just designed, you just
- 59:53Speaker 1: you just described a porno movie. Wait, what that's a
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: portal barbershop. Barbershop is a portal movie. The Pooh Hall
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: is a portal movie. Hair washing is a point on movie.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: They don't have really catch your ass titles anything. You
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: got your big bosom spilling out of your black lace brow.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Then when we come back, I'll tell you what. All right,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: hang on for part two of Steve's response, coming up
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour of today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Subject the back seat and the barbershop. Will get back
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening Stry Morning Show.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: The subject the back seat and the Barbershop. Well, he
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: is married lady in her late port. He's got a
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: boyfriend five years longer than her. He married too. He's
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: a call onner the barbershop. She went on there to
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: get her lock shampoo, and she didn't have no idea
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: it was being done by a big, handsome man. He's
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: a call onner the shop. He gets ready to do that,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: and then he tells her to take off her turtlenecks
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: so it don't get wet. She knew the dude was flirting.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: She took her turtleneck off anyway, leaned back into shampoo
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: boo shampoo, leaned back into shampoo bowl, and her ample
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: bosoms was sticking out of her black lace bro She
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: knew he was flirting, so I did it anyway. I
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: didn't even tell him. Look, we can do this without
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: getting my turtle neck where. Let me roll, Let me
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: tuck my turtle neck into my blouse. You didn't do that.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: You took it off and leaned back and let him
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: have it. He told me his old man and his
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: breast was making it hard for him to work. He
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: leaned against me while he's shampooed my head, and I
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: could feel it pressed up on my arm. See all
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: this is trouble. It was at eye level. So as
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: he shampooed my hair, idea what I had to do?
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Hold on what? Because it was at eye level, You
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: did what you had to do. Really, you know how
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: much stuff out of had at eye level that I've
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: had to avoid in my life, Like what you know.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: How many women I meet does at eye level your
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: ass scots to ignore. If you do stuff just cause
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: it's at eye level, your ass is. The tricky is
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: to move it up to your eye level. You're sitting
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: down at the banquet. All I got to do and
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: walk by level. Since then, I've been going by his
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: shop a few days a week. When now other customers
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: inside the barbershop, we go out to the back seat
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: of his car. We're either in the barbershop on the
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: back seat. I would I have to stretch out and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: thoroughly enjoy myself, but he's always got clients to get
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: back to. It's the quickest, most enjoyable sets I've had
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: in a long time. I tried to arrange a meet
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: up this past week and he said he can't see
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: me outside of workouts. What holda, what are you gonna do?
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I can't see you outside of him. I'm a family
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: man first. How can he say this after all the
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: kinky things he's done to me. He done it till
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: you're doing work hours. He's done it till you in
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: the barbershop, share in the shampoopo and in the backseat
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: of the car. I offered to get us a hotel room,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: and he said, no, why is he putting limits on
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: our fare? Because you are in a limited of fail
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: How your start is how you fit it. What you
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: demand is what you get. But your ask for us
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: what we give. Your ask for it. At the shampoo bowl,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: we gave it. You come up there a few times
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: a week. You ain't gotta wash your locks a few
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: times a week. I know that you come up there
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: a few times a week to get washed. Not your locks.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You come to get washed. And all the washing is
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: going on in that backseat of that damn truck or
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: in here when it ain't no customers quick coming up
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: down three or four times a week. He don't want
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: no room with you. No, you ain't room worthy. Why
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: spend money on a room with All I want is
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: in back of that car. As soon as these people
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: get out of here, we're gonna be at this facebol you,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: the faith you, the face bowl, bather shop, back seat chick.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: You don't get no. You in your late forty you
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: knew better when you started. Now you are, he'd told you,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I'm a family man. First. Yeah, you just came up
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: in here. This just happened. Appreciate it, but that's all
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: this said. I don't even like you like that. You
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: just at work, you would this just man, this just
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: this just popped up out of nowhere. You're nothing to be,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: nothing else, lady could ask like Shirley said, you're nothing
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: to go to dinner, y'all, nothing to take, no long
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: walks at the park, y'all sitting on the park, bitch
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: talking things out. He don't care about what your dreams
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: and visions is. Man, I don't care about what did
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: you talking about? You think about what? He just know you, Kiki,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you will do anything because it's at eye level, high level,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: and I'm glad that ain't mind as you it's at
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: high level. You know how much trouble I be in
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: miss right? Everything right right, right, right right, man, I'm
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: on the zoom right now with all my co workers
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: all in at our level. You'll see me sliding in
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the DMS and stuff. I'm on no we level every boy,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: You lady lady gone somewhere what you write us? Yeah,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: I'm sure a husband. We appreciate the letter though, because

- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Earthquake Bruce Bruce, Bill Bellamy, Ryan Davis, and Seantay wayns Man.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: We're doing this coming up. Got about two weeks for
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: the show coming up, so I'll be there. I'm ready listen. Uh.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: You know, free agency started yesterday and it has been
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: crazy man. Football, Yeah, in football. Look what's going on
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: with the Dallas Cowboys. They they're having some issues over here.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Nobody won't play that, but you told him. Randy Gregory,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Dieva's avin for the Cowboys, told the Cowboys on Tuesday,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the five years, seventy me twenty eight
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: million guarantee. I'm gonna take that. I'm gonna play for y'all,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: but then come yesterday, sign it with the Denver Broncos.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: He he just I lied what I told y'all. But
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: they don't have been having the worst offseason because they
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: traded the Mark Cooper to clean the Browns. Then then
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: he lost the otherwide receiver, Cedric Wilson Junior, to play
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: with the Miami Dolphins. Now this didn't happen day. When
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: when does your word mean anything in free agis I'm
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: with the playoffs? The owners don't keep their word exact
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: same deal, but just tell you know what I mean.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Denver got a heck of a team and now they
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: got Russell. Yeah, so he looking at his chances. The
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: bigger I think the biggest mistake the Cowboys made was
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: they kept the entire same coaching staff. And something's wrong
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: right there. Because they have the talent. The Cowboys got
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: one of the most talented rosters in football. The problem
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: is the coaching staff and they didn't. They didn't make
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: no change. Now I got the same hond he ain't
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: none it. Let's talk about this man. What is going
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: on with Baker Mayfield? What's up? What you need? I'm
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: tell you listen when the Browns met with the Sean Wasson. Yes,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: he starts saying good buying things, he starts saying good by.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: But I mean, you know, it was it was nice
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: what he did. But it's not a guarantee because the
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Sean gets to pick where he's gonna go. Yeah he does.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: But Bakers and says they talking to Dean, Well, you know,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I just want to thank the city of Cleveland. It
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: may be a chance that we end up with the
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Sean man, but you know I ain't. I ain't putting no,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I ain't putting no, no, no, I ain't putting no, no,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: nothing behind faith because the Browns work. Yeah, it's just
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: where we all and all that hope we didn't had.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Y'all will forever be a part of my life. I
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: thought about post yet tweet. You know, we really appreciate everything,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: all the nice restaurants in Cleveland. We loved him, all right,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you for Sports Talk today. Coming up
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, the Great Resignation continues.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: We'll talk about quitting your job. Right after this. You're
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. The Great Resignation continues,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: and nowhere seems to be safe. Amad Pizza shop in
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Illinois was the subject of a TikTok where the users
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: showed a sign at the door saying, all staff has quit,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: We're closed for the night. So Steve, Yeah, I mean,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: people are just quitting their jobs, Steve. And it really
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: is an employee market right now. Lots of places are hiring.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: So why stay somewhere when you're unhappy? Should you have
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: a rational plan before you just up and quit your jobs?
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: What do you think? Well, I mean I quit my
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: last job I had. I quit the next day after
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I wanted fifty bucks at a comedy competition. So I'm
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: the last person I ask you, did you have a
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: rational plan? Because I led directly to homelessness. Yeah. I
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: don't really recommend anybody to take the route I took,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: but if you want to, I say go ahead. I mean,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: what did they quito? It's a pizza shot? How much
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: they pay dude over pepper ni quito? See. But once
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: I passed by your house and I miss your address,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I turned the corner, eat the pizza. Uh huh uh huh.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: But with with that it was some sexual harassment stuff.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: It was a bunch a pizza shot. Yeah, I'm not
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: take all this for no day over, No damn pizza.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Yeah you said, you said pepper Rooni here, I am
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: anybody wanted to meet levels. That's what you say. No,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: no immediately. Yeah, but it's happening everywhere. I mean, that's
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: one incident in Illinois, but it's happening here. We love
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: our jobs, We love you. You're the best. Monica says
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: she's considered Quentin. She's still here the job or this job? Okay,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: this job. I thought he meant this job. Yeah, your
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: best bus ever, Steve. The last job I hand was
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: at Monarch Paint Company. Pay seven sevent walk right out
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: of this yeah, seventh. No, because I saw that the
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: manager of the store had been there twenty two years
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: and the assistant manager being there twenty What do I
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: look like staying here? I started next night? Really? Yeah? Well, well,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: junior experts say that if you do want to quit
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: your job, you should talk to your boss. Okay, don't
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: get emotional, don't get emotional. Go ahead and ask for
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: your raise, asked to work from home, talk about stress,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: and point your dissatisfaction at the job. Okay, let's try
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: it right now. You go ahead and pitch me for
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the raise. Go ahead, let's try. Uh, mister Harvey, I
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: have a word with you, please, absolutely, sir. You know
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: you know I've been here for years. I've been in
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: four years, and you know everything I asked me to do,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I do all my my my job description. Can I
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: fits that? I think I fought more than capable? Okay?
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: And you know another thing too, I even worked over
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: time for you when you asked me too. Yeah, I've
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: never asked you that. To go ahead, but you know,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I just wanted to say this. I really believe that
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: I should be making fifteen dollars hour. The seven fifty
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: seven seventy five ain't working for me. I really, I'm
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: a fifteen dollars Houray, employee. Leave, I'll give you that
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: right away. Also, I'm getting the raise okay, you want

- 1:14:19Speaker 1: all right, okay, yeah, you know, think about this, uncle,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I think I deserve about a fifty thous dollars raise
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: on this job here man. Yeah, and you thought wrong,

- 1:14:50Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with more how to ask
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: your boss for a raise with the nephew and the
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: uncle right after this. You're listening Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: All right, So before we before we left out, we
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: were talking about the Great Resignation, how a lot of
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: people around the country are quitting their jobs and uh,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: you know, they're unhappy with their with their employment, so
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: they're looking for other jobs. And experts say, you should
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: talk to your boss, don't get emotional, asked for a raise,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: asked to work from home, talk about stress and pinpoint
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: just what you're dissatisfied about at your job. So the
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: nephew wanted to ask you, Steve questions. He wanted to
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: talk to you about. You got one damn minute. We
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: can sit down and have a conversation. That's how you
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: ask why it's fine. It's fine. Don't get emotional. That's
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: the first trying not to get emotional. I've been on
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: this radio twenty mores with you. I'm just gonna gonne say.

- 1:16:17Speaker 1: for twenty damn hill, doing the best, the best you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: pity in the world. The least you can do is
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: give me an extra two fifty on this damn show. Hey,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: I can do far leash than that. If you're looking
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: for leash, I can do way leash than that. This
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: is not working, U. Whereas hey, that are right now
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll

- 1:16:59Speaker 1: away with every lie you tell? Don't be you really
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: get away with every lie? You're probably doing that already.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: That's my whole goal in life, isn't. I don't need
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: to detect no lie soon. That's what you're doing when
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: you're talking. So I think we both lying. Everybody's lying up. Wow,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: that's a different world in which we live, all right?
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Would you rather be asked the same question over and over?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Or would you rather never be spoken to ever again?
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Ship? Just just let's just
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: say one person for sake of this, would you rather
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: or would you rather never ever be spoken to again?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I'm going with be. Yeah. I can't keep I can't
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: be here. Nah, hold on, come on, come on, come
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: on now? Who we should? One question is is less?
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Can we do it? I mean, if I just hear
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: that old and old and I'm good with, what are
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: we gonna do it? Let's do it? Can we do
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: it all that all the time over? But if the
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: question what about while you're doing it? The question who
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: phoned up? Is this? I'm here to beat? Yeah, But
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: you can't hear a question ahead of time? No, Yeah,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you don't know what it's gonna be, all right? Would
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: you rather it be Christmas every day? Christmas every day?
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Or your birthday every day? My birthday? Christmas too much company,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: it's too many people. No christ Christmas I got to
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: buy too much though. Hell no, let it beat my
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: birthday here last year, I couldn't put that bike together, right,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: m that's too much. No. So Christmas is cool just
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: being one day a year. But you want your birthday
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: every day? Yeah? I mean, yeah, I mean I don't
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: get nothing on either day, so they don't matter either.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: What be my birthdays? I ain't getting that nowhere? All right?
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: All right, this is kind of crazy. Would you rather
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: win the lottery but have to spend it all in
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: one day? Or would you like to trip? Would you
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: rather triple your current salary forever? That's easy, that's the easy.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Would you rather win the lottery? Win the lottery but
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: have to spend it all in one day? Or triple
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: your current salary forever? It's easy? Which one? You won't
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: triple my current salary? Trip ever? Whatever I tripple, you
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: have won the lottery? Yeas all right? That's our all right,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Today's version of would you rather coming up last break
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: of the day, and of course some closing remarks from
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: the one and only, our fearless leader, Steve Harvey right
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show all right, guys, here
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: we are our last break of the day on this Thursday.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Head it into Friday. Yeah, yeah, it's been a good day.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: We've had fun today. Boy. You and Tommy really got
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: into it earlier about those the rais and the job
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: and thank you. Yeah. The first thing is said was
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: don't be emotional emotion into it. I have it for you.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: I'm really undeveloped in my Christiani. If you come to
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: me hard, I just don't know how to, you know,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: be soft with you. And that was Tommy asking for
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: a raise going on, not gonna cuss me. I mean
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: the big one too, I tell you YEA said I've
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: been being up in here stupid for twenty years. Thank you, Steve,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: take us out. Hey. My closer remarks it that I
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: want you all to be aware of something that I've
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: found to be a little bit troubling sometime. It's the
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: word karma. The word karma. I've been watching people and
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: they tossed this word around so loosely and I want
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: you all to be careful. Be careful of people who
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: always use the word karma because they throw it around
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: like like like like like they have the right too,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: you know, it's it's is Is there a karma committee?
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: And who's on it? Who determines what's happening to you
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: is calma? Don't throw that word around so easily because
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: when you look up the definition of calm and you
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: google it, and to throw you off a little bit,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: because it really has a lot to do with religion
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: and and and certain religions in this world. That's where
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: the word calma came from. So when people are always
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: talking about, yeah, that's calma, what's happening to you is calma? No,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: that's not all the way, It's not always the case.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Be careful of people who use that word a lot,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: because I have to warn you. Who determines what calma is?
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: And how long does calma last? Have you ever noticed
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: people throw that word around to keep you in a
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: certain place, to keep you in a certain category, to
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: keep you feeling a certain kind of way, even after
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: you've moved on long from it. Real negative people have
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: a tendency to throw this word calma around. I want
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: y'all to be aware of this, man, because it's dangerous
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: to let people do it. See, God has this thing
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: called grace and mercy, and God passes it out to
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: whoever asked for it. If you ask God for forgiveness
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: for something and God gives you his grace and he
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: forgives you, that allows you to be forgiven. God never
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: brings it back up again, and you're free to move on.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: So you gotta be careful of people who talking about
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: every time something happens to you, they relate it to
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: something that you did before and they call it calma.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: That's not what it is, y'all. Listen to me. The
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: vast majority of things that happened to you, it ain't calma.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: It's just life. What are you talking about. You lose
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: a love one that ain't calma. You don't, you don't
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: something happens to you negatively, that's not calma. That's life.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: It's called trials, it's called test, it's a challenge, it's
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: a set up for a comeback. It's a lot of things.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: But it don't have to be calmer man. You know,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: listen to me. If you if you murder someone and
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: you get sent to prison. That's justice. That's what that
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: that's justice. You can call it calma if you want too,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: but it's courtiers. It's it's just justice. I notice a
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: lot of people use calma to keep you from from
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: from feeling forgiven. I know, on a personal note, that
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: I've done something way back when I was a young man,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: And do you know that there are steal people in
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: my life. When something negative happens to me, they refer
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: back to that moment as calma. I don't let him
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: do it to me. God has been forgiven me for
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: the things I've done as a young man. He'd been
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: forgave you a long time ago for the things you've
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: done as a young man. You've had so many blessings
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: that occurred in your life since you made that mistake
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: as a young man, as a young girl, as a
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: young woman. Do you know how many blessings you've had
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: since you've made those mistakes. Then when something else, call life,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: pops up your way, here comes somebody wanting to relate
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: it back to the time you had your baby, the
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: time you left this man, you walked out of the city,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: and they want to call that calma. Don't let them.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Do that. Listen to me, y'all. God is in the
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: forgiving business. When He forgives you, don't let people keep
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: you from being free of it by reminding you of
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: a word that they throw a wound way too loosely
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: called calma every time somehoppen you see on it and
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Calmas of be Calmas this, Calmas that coming? Who is it?
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Who are these people? Who is the Calma Committee? I
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: don't go for that. I have no Calma committee that
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: I answered to. I answered to my heavenly Father, and
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I suggest that you do too. So from now, when
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: you ask God for forgiveness, and God forgives you, move
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: on and don't let nobody on the Calma committee hold
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: you to your former past and your former mistakes, because
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: God has allowed you to move on and you should
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: thank you very much. Those are my closing remarks. Hope
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: you got something from it. Hey, y'all, listen, God willing
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: will see you all tomorrow. In the meantime, talk to
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: God He loved to hear from you for all. Steve
