- 1:43Speaker 8: got to turn the mouth, turn out the water.
- 1:47Speaker 7: Then up, looks.
- 1:50Speaker 9: Me, Come me, come out?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think that.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I sure will? Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 4: Come on, dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 4: got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Man oh man, oh man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I think about all the things God has done for
- 2:19Speaker 4: me is overwhelming at times. And I want everybody to
- 2:24Speaker 4: have that feeling and to sharing that feeling of completion
- 2:27Speaker 4: and satisfaction. And the only reason I got this, and
- 2:31Speaker 4: it's the thousandth time I've said it, is because I
- 2:34Speaker 4: formed a relationship with my creator.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Period.
- 2:37Speaker 4: That's it. That's that's it. I can't tell you as
- 2:41Speaker 4: anything else else. You know, I've always had a strong
- 2:43Speaker 4: work ethic. My father put that in me. My father's
- 2:47Speaker 4: conversation with me growing up was always constantly about work hard,
- 2:52Speaker 4: don't be lazy, be a man, do what you say
- 2:54Speaker 4: you're gonna do. YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA. Man, I
- 2:57Speaker 4: was so tired of my father At times. I was going, Man,
- 3:00Speaker 4: what is with this dude right here? Man, every time
- 3:03Speaker 4: we have a conversation, it's got to be about work.
- 3:05Speaker 4: It's got to be about, you know, man, doing your best,
- 3:09Speaker 4: trying hard, you know, working, being honest, do what you
- 3:13Speaker 4: say you're gonna do. But that was his mission. I
- 3:17Speaker 4: can't tell you how much I appreciate that now. I
- 3:21Speaker 4: can't even I can't even put it into words when
- 3:23Speaker 4: I think about my old man and what he was
- 3:27Speaker 4: to me, and I just, man, I'm so grateful for
- 3:32Speaker 4: that balance I had in my life. And then my
- 3:34Speaker 4: father was a fighter. He fought on the weekends.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:40Speaker 4: My father used to come home with his clothes toe
- 3:43Speaker 4: off of him. He put a fresh shirt on, and
- 3:45Speaker 4: he go back. My mama used to talk about my
- 3:48Speaker 4: father fighting all the time, slick, while you're always fighting.
- 3:52Speaker 4: You know a little bit of that rubbed off on
- 3:54Speaker 4: me too, you know that that kind of got into me.
- 3:56Speaker 4: And I didn't understand that either, But then understand same term.
- 4:00Speaker 4: My mother was a Sunday school teacher for forty years,
- 4:03Speaker 4: so her conversation was never about fighting or anything. It
- 4:06Speaker 4: was all about love and understanding and doing another that
- 4:09Speaker 4: you would have to do unto you. My mom was
- 4:11Speaker 4: a Sunday school teacher, so I learned about faith. I
- 4:14Speaker 4: had to go to Sunday school, prayer meeting, Bible study,
- 4:17Speaker 4: young people meeting, choir rehearsal. You know, I was a
- 4:21Speaker 4: church man so much I was actually looking as there's
- 4:24Speaker 4: got to be an alternative to this, you know. I
- 4:27Speaker 4: want you know, I was a little kid even I
- 4:29Speaker 4: was thinking at one point, maybe I ought to look
- 4:31Speaker 4: into Hell because there's got to be something cooler than
- 4:34Speaker 4: this going on every day. It had got that crazy
- 4:37Speaker 4: for me. But the balance between those two people created
- 4:41Speaker 4: who I am today. And I want you to understand
- 4:44Speaker 4: that the things that you are in your past have
- 4:47Speaker 4: helped create who you are today. If you view it
- 4:51Speaker 4: the right way, everything that has happened to you in
- 4:55Speaker 4: your past has happened to you for a reason, and
- 4:59Speaker 4: it's usual for the good if you view it that way.
- 5:04Speaker 4: But if you, on the other hand, are a type
- 5:07Speaker 4: of person who can't move forward because you are allowing
- 5:11Speaker 4: your past to stop you from having your future, then you,
- 5:16Speaker 4: my friend, are doing a disservice to your life. You
- 5:21Speaker 4: are not honoring God's blessings. You are not taking advantage
- 5:27Speaker 4: of the gain, knowledge, wisdom, and experience of your life. Example,
- 5:33Speaker 4: if you are a woman and you are always talking
- 5:39Speaker 4: about a former relationship, what he did to me. If
- 5:44Speaker 4: he had not did this to me, I wouldn't be
- 5:47Speaker 4: in this place today. I thought I had a man.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Now I ain't got no man ah llah lah lah
- 5:56Speaker 4: la lah if I you know, he came along and
- 6:00Speaker 4: I was doing just swell. He just came in and
- 6:03Speaker 4: he just lied to me. He lied to me, nod.
- 6:07Speaker 4: He did this to me, then he cheated, then he left.
- 6:11Speaker 4: All of that that you're saying can very well be true.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Have you thought that maybe maybe somewhere in God's infinite wisdom,
- 6:25Speaker 4: that he knew that you had made a mistake in
- 6:29Speaker 4: picking him anyway? Maybe he knew you had made a
- 6:33Speaker 4: mistake in saying yes or I do to him anyway,
- 6:38Speaker 4: or come on, move in?
- 6:42Speaker 2: And so what he did was.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Based on your decision now to say yes, I do,
- 6:49Speaker 4: or come on, let's move in together.
- 6:51Speaker 2: That was your decision. You ain't go to him about
- 6:53Speaker 2: this one.
- 6:54Speaker 4: You made this decision based on that decision, and all
- 6:59Speaker 4: the negative things that started happening. He allowed you to
- 7:03Speaker 4: get away from it. Now how you got away from it,
- 7:06Speaker 4: It's always not the choice of ours. See, you stuck
- 7:11Speaker 4: on the fact that he left, that he walked out.
- 7:14Speaker 4: But let me share this with you. When he was there,
- 7:17Speaker 4: How good was he to you? How good was he
- 7:20Speaker 4: for you? See, you got to stare at you got
- 7:24Speaker 4: to look at the blessing. The blessing is. Now you
- 7:28Speaker 4: are on your own. Now you walk in your house.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Ain't nobody in there with a disruptive spirit.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Now you go home. You could take your clothes off,
- 7:37Speaker 2: walk around like you want to.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Now you go home, you can sit down and look
- 7:42Speaker 4: at TV or catch your breath if you want to.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Your kids don't have to see y'all arguing all the time.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Have you looked at the blessing in it? But now
- 7:54Speaker 4: if you gonna keep looking at the negative, then guess what.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Now you can't move forward because you keep allowing your
- 8:03Speaker 4: past to keep you from moving forward. If God has
- 8:07Speaker 4: brought you through it, why don't you move on from it? Look,
- 8:12Speaker 4: you got through it, He gone, he ain't coming back.
- 8:15Speaker 4: He got somebody else. So you gonna sit there and
- 8:18Speaker 4: just keep tripping couts. He gone and he got somebody else. Hey,
- 8:23Speaker 4: pick yourself up. Thank God for the blessing. It didn't
- 8:27Speaker 4: feel like a blessing. Why you was going through it,
- 8:29Speaker 4: and all the pain of him leaving and the divorce
- 8:32Speaker 4: and all that messed you up? Got it when you
- 8:35Speaker 4: get through it, all of that. You ain't the first
- 8:37Speaker 4: one being left. You ain't the first one being divorced.
- 8:41Speaker 4: You ain't the first one been in a bad relationship.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Pick yourself up, thank God for the blessing, and move
- 8:48Speaker 4: forward in your life, because maybe when you quit complaining,
- 8:53Speaker 4: maybe you'll find out that God has something in store
- 8:57Speaker 4: for you that he wants you to have, but he
- 8:59Speaker 4: can't give it to you if you ain't grateful. So
- 9:02Speaker 4: God gives you a blessing, but because you don't see
- 9:05Speaker 4: it as a blessing, you ain't grateful for it. Now,
- 9:08Speaker 4: guess what, You steady asking God to do something for you,
- 9:12Speaker 4: but you ain't thanking him for what he's done for you,
- 9:15Speaker 4: but you steady wanting him to do more.
- 9:17Speaker 2: How does that work? How does that work?
- 9:20Speaker 10: Man?
- 9:21Speaker 4: That he should keep on giving you things when you
- 9:23Speaker 4: ain't even working with the stuff he done gave you,
- 9:27Speaker 4: and I don't know, And I'm just using that one example.
- 9:30Speaker 4: It could go for me and too, vice versa, and
- 9:33Speaker 4: so on and so forth. I'm just using that as
- 9:35Speaker 4: an example. Now, why I laid on that one so long?
- 9:39Speaker 4: You have to take that over.
- 9:40Speaker 2: God, That's all just sweet.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I ain't pointing fingers at nobody in nothing, because I've
- 9:45Speaker 4: been guilty on.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Both sides of the coin. Who am I?
- 9:48Speaker 4: But I'm just sharing with you what I had to do.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I had to learn to stop allowing my past to
- 9:55Speaker 4: interfere with my future.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:05Speaker 4: I know you thought a song would follow, but I
- 10:09Speaker 4: decided no, And then again I changed my mind. When
- 10:14Speaker 4: you think of love, got to get it on your mind.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Come on, when you think of love, got to get
- 10:24Speaker 4: it on in your mind.
- 10:26Speaker 2: When you think of.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Love, god it get it on your mind.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Come on? Now, why did I we do it up
- 10:45Speaker 2: in here.
- 10:47Speaker 11: Like that?
- 10:47Speaker 4: See how it was a fake move. It was kind
- 10:49Speaker 4: of count off then said I wasn't gonna do it,
- 10:52Speaker 4: did jump right.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Back into it. I just thought of that, That's all
- 10:55Speaker 2: it was. It's like that in the words that said
- 10:58Speaker 2: you entertained it. It's just mad.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Good morning, Good morning, Steve Harvey, more than only Hello
- 11:06Speaker 4: Carlin forrall.

- 12:09Speaker 9: Man.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you feeling all right though always you know.
- 12:16Speaker 4: It's another exciting day, another opportunity God has given me.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I want to take full advantage of it. I want
- 12:21Speaker 4: to do the things is I can do to progress
- 12:26Speaker 4: myself forward and do some things that maybe can help
- 12:31Speaker 4: out in the future. Not worrying about the future, not
- 12:35Speaker 4: concerning myself with anything that's about to happen, but preparing
- 12:40Speaker 4: to receive God's blessings, preparing to receive his unmerited favor
- 12:49Speaker 4: and any grace that would be shared, shared or headed
- 12:53Speaker 4: my way.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I'm just open to it. You know, I've just decided
- 12:56Speaker 2: I stopped worrying, and it has changed my life.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Man.
- 13:01Speaker 4: When I stopped worrying because nothing I used to worry
- 13:05Speaker 4: about could I control? Right, and I stopped worrying. God
- 13:12Speaker 4: is going to take care of me as he always
- 13:16Speaker 4: so wonderfully has done. And I see no reason why
- 13:21Speaker 4: he would not continue. If he's not going to continue
- 13:25Speaker 4: to take care of me, I'm not gonna wake up,
- 13:26Speaker 4: but I'm here.
- 13:30Speaker 9: No.

- 14:45Speaker 9: How are you, hey, Coach Watkins?
- 14:47Speaker 10: I'm fine?
- 14:48Speaker 13: What can I do for you?
- 14:49Speaker 9: Listen, We've had Maleik out for the last week and
- 14:53Speaker 9: a half. He's been coming to practice here at the
- 14:56Speaker 9: Junior High School and wanted to reach out and give
- 14:59Speaker 9: you a call about everything that's going on. Oh yeah, Well,
- 15:02Speaker 9: I know he's really excited.
- 15:03Speaker 13: He can't wait to start the season.
- 15:05Speaker 9: He's ready. Well, you know what, I'll be honest with you.
- 15:09Speaker 9: He's a great kid, and he's got a good heart,
- 15:12Speaker 9: and he's really really really trying and trying to produce
- 15:16Speaker 9: as much as possible.
- 15:17Speaker 11: Well, you know, he loves the game and he's been
- 15:19Speaker 11: playing since he was a little kid.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, you know, this is you know, this is
- 15:25Speaker 9: the seventh grade. This is the first time some of
- 15:27Speaker 9: these kids have played organized football, and this is the
- 15:31Speaker 9: first time playing school football. And it's a big it's
- 15:34Speaker 9: a big transition that if you've been playing little league
- 15:37Speaker 9: ball or pop Warner or whatever you want to call it.
- 15:39Speaker 9: It's a it's a big difference, in a big transition
- 15:42Speaker 9: to go from one to the other. You understand, Yeah,
- 15:45Speaker 9: I do understand. But Malika's been working really hard, yes,
- 15:47Speaker 9: and he's ready. Well well, well, let me let me
- 15:49Speaker 9: say this. My main reason for calling you is letting
- 15:52Speaker 9: you know that league as of right now is not
- 15:56Speaker 9: going to be able to make the cut as far
- 15:59Speaker 9: as what you did. Well, he's not gonna be able
- 16:02Speaker 9: to make the cut as far as being on the
- 16:04Speaker 9: team for this year. Now, I got a wait a minute.
- 16:07Speaker 13: You said, wait, wait, you said that Malite is not
- 16:11Speaker 13: gonna be able to make the team.
- 16:13Speaker 10: I said, it's not gonna.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Make the team.
- 16:16Speaker 9: He's a great kid. You know, he's a great you
- 16:18Speaker 9: know he's a great kid. But wait, man, now, he
- 16:21Speaker 9: didn't play proper warner and he was.
- 16:23Speaker 13: A starting quarterback, so what are you talking about. He's
- 16:25Speaker 13: not gonna make the team this year.
- 16:27Speaker 1: He was the best they had.
- 16:28Speaker 9: Out on that squad. Okay, and you know what, I've
- 16:31Speaker 9: heard a lot about him. I heard he did a
- 16:32Speaker 9: great job.
- 16:33Speaker 13: Heard about him. Wit a minute, Wait, man, have you
- 16:35Speaker 13: seen his got twenty touchdowns in the season.
- 16:39Speaker 9: I understand what are the kids is out there doing that?
- 16:41Speaker 9: But you know what, but right now, we got a
- 16:43Speaker 9: lot of different kids that are coming into this particular school.
- 16:46Speaker 9: So you know, the competition has gone greater and greater
- 16:49Speaker 9: than what we could possibly understand.
- 16:51Speaker 13: Wait a minute, When this is seventh grade, first of all,
- 16:54Speaker 13: everybody makes the team. Nobody gets cut in the first place.
- 16:57Speaker 13: You got an A team and a B team. So
- 16:59Speaker 13: you telling me my baby ain't made.
- 17:01Speaker 9: None of them teams? Right right now, miss Lydia? Uh
- 17:05Speaker 9: you know? Uh? Like I said, Malika is a great kid.
- 17:08Speaker 9: I like him.
- 17:09Speaker 10: I know what Milik is.
- 17:10Speaker 13: I know that he's a great kid and he's a ballplayer.
- 17:13Speaker 13: Now I make sure that. So don't come telling me
- 17:15Speaker 13: that he's not good enough to make the cut on
- 17:18Speaker 13: this seventh grade team.
- 17:19Speaker 9: Well, come telling me who is the quarterback? Who?
- 17:22Speaker 13: Yeah, you tell me what's going on?
- 17:23Speaker 9: Who is the quarterback? Well? Actually right now, my son
- 17:27Speaker 9: is the quarterback. Your son, well, I mean you know, yeah,
- 17:34Speaker 9: is actually the quarterback. He hasn't done any pop warn
- 17:36Speaker 9: or anything, but he really has what it takes to
- 17:40Speaker 9: be the never played.
- 17:41Speaker 13: Football before, or he's never played organized football, but he's
- 17:46Speaker 13: going to be the quarterback for the seventh grade team.
- 17:49Speaker 9: Is that what you're telling me? Well, yeah, my son
- 17:51Speaker 9: is actually a starting quarterback, but that.
- 17:54Speaker 13: My son don't make the teach and my son scored
- 17:57Speaker 13: twenty touchdown twenty Is that what you're telling me?
- 18:01Speaker 8: Oh?
- 18:01Speaker 9: Hell no, I'm calling up to that school tomorrow. I
- 18:04Speaker 9: will be up there tomorrow. Let me explain something. I say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 18:12Speaker 9: no no.
- 18:12Speaker 13: And I don't know what this is, this nepotism or
- 18:14Speaker 13: whatever you got going on around here, but hell no,
- 18:18Speaker 13: my son ain't Nathan what. Hell no, it's gonna be
- 18:22Speaker 13: smoking the city tomorrow when.
- 18:24Speaker 9: I get up there, Miss Lydia. What I want to
- 18:27Speaker 9: say this is this, if your son would take a
- 18:29Speaker 9: year off, lord and try to get itself together and
- 18:32Speaker 9: get the fundamentals together together, a greater football player when
- 18:38Speaker 9: he gets to be headed to the eighth grade.
- 18:40Speaker 13: It was the wrong This doll last year. What you
- 18:42Speaker 13: going about this? Fundamentals together? Your son ain't never even play?
- 18:46Speaker 9: Well, you know what. I've worked with my son, you know,
- 18:48Speaker 9: And it's a little it's a little awkward for me
- 18:51Speaker 9: to try to talk about what my son has done.
- 18:54Speaker 13: Yeah, from behalf you talk about because you don't know
- 18:56Speaker 13: what your son is done. Because ain't nobody ever seen
- 18:58Speaker 13: your son. You just got this dream, probably something that
- 19:01Speaker 13: you ain't dead. You want to live vicariously through him.
- 19:03Speaker 9: Hell no, that's that's about it. I don't like in school.
- 19:08Speaker 9: I played in high school, and let me play this.
- 19:10Speaker 9: I'm trying to do the best that I can and
- 19:12Speaker 9: the best of my ability to make sure that everybody
- 19:15Speaker 9: gets a good and fair shot at what's going on.
- 19:17Speaker 13: I said, well not, but but he don't get to play.
- 19:19Speaker 13: So what about I'm getting up here?
- 19:21Speaker 9: I think don't get the players. Probably he doesn't even
- 19:24Speaker 9: gonna work out to be a better burgle. Turn that
- 19:27Speaker 9: to the mole mothers. That's some bull.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I bet you.

- 22:29Speaker 1: go out, her mom comes to CLO. I don't mind
- 22:33Speaker 1: the mom coming, but she's got it going on and
- 22:35Speaker 1: I'm becoming more attracted to her. Do I separate myself
- 22:39Speaker 1: from the two of them? Or do I focus more
- 22:41Speaker 1: on the mother and see where that could possibly go?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Quentin?
- 22:49Speaker 4: Quentin, yes, Quentin, Yeah, I cannot tell you. Hot Dog
- 22:57Speaker 4: and deep the holiest about to step yo dump.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Now mama has going on.
- 23:10Speaker 2: I bet she do.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Now, sir, I don't know how far you and this
- 23:17Speaker 4: daughter then went. I don't know how y'all met. I
- 23:20Speaker 4: don't know if y'all was set up. I don't know
- 23:23Speaker 4: if y'all been cuddling. I don't know if y'all and
- 23:26Speaker 4: went all the way. It don't sound like it. It
- 23:31Speaker 4: sounds like y'all just been hanging out and you trying
- 23:34Speaker 4: to see.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Where it goes. I understand what, Lord have mercy.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I updated in my life a best friend that had
- 23:45Speaker 4: a woman who had a best friend that used to
- 23:48Speaker 4: come along and her friend was finer than her.
- 23:55Speaker 2: So and the first day we had never done nothing.
- 23:57Speaker 2: We just went out on the date.
- 23:58Speaker 4: The first day we went out, I drew the conclusion
- 24:03Speaker 4: that I would be much better off with her friend
- 24:07Speaker 4: than her I came at the first day.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I knew that right way, first first day, just on sight.
- 24:17Speaker 4: In my twenty some years, I came to the conclusion
- 24:23Speaker 4: that my life, future and all I.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Hope for would be in better hands with her.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Friend because, like the mom and this one, she had
- 24:33Speaker 1: it going on.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Boy did she.
- 24:37Speaker 9: So.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I sat there and made the switch in my mind.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Okay, the problem I had.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Quentin, is the problem you gonna have.
- 24:47Speaker 4: You can make the switch in your mind, but how
- 24:50Speaker 4: do you get to switch out verbally? Verbage to use
- 24:58Speaker 4: to tell your original date that you are now feeling
- 25:04Speaker 4: her bestie? I have yet to come up with those words, Quentin,
- 25:10Speaker 4: good luck, Steve.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Isn't this different? It's her mom. It's not just her
- 25:15Speaker 1: best friend, it's her best friend who happens to be
- 25:18Speaker 1: her mom.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Surely I told you what would happen with just the
- 25:22Speaker 2: best friend.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I really don't know what to tell you about this
- 25:29Speaker 2: girl's mom.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah, this is something right now, This is really something
- 25:35Speaker 1: you gotta stop.
- 25:37Speaker 2: It ain't nothing, he could say, you know, there's nothing.
- 25:40Speaker 1: You're right all right. Moving on to JJ in Southfield,
- 25:44Speaker 1: JJ says, last night I heard rumbling in my backyard,
- 25:48Speaker 1: so I opened the curtains. My neighbor and a woman
- 25:51Speaker 1: were back there having sex. The next day he called
- 25:54Speaker 1: to thank me for not scaring the woman off, and
- 25:56Speaker 1: he said it won't happen again. His wife is my
- 26:00Speaker 1: wife's cousin. I know man code, but do I break
- 26:04Speaker 1: code if it involves family?
- 26:07Speaker 4: No, you can't break man code. Family, your wife's cousin.
- 26:11Speaker 4: They ain't even close. Oh that ain't your brother, cuse
- 26:20Speaker 4: you really don't even know them people. Man, Come on now,
- 26:28Speaker 4: my mama's sister's kids. What what y'all live out of
- 26:33Speaker 4: state in Alledge. No, man, whatever, now, dog, you can't
- 26:40Speaker 4: break man code on that, okay. And he even he
- 26:44Speaker 4: realized you saw him and thanked.
- 26:46Speaker 1: You and said, it won't happen again, not in your backyard.
- 26:52Speaker 2: That's what that's what he said.
- 26:54Speaker 7: What mean?
- 26:54Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no, that's what he said.
- 26:57Speaker 4: It won't happen again. You didn't hear on the his breath,
- 27:00Speaker 4: it won't happen again, right, and that's what that mean?
- 27:06Speaker 10: All right?
- 27:07Speaker 1: Harper and Talladega says, I'm thirty and I'm dating a
- 27:10Speaker 1: black man that is a mama's boy. If the food
- 27:13Speaker 1: doesn't taste like it's mama's food, then he won't eat it.
- 27:16Speaker 1: He highly offended my pastor's wife last week by telling
- 27:19Speaker 1: her that she didn't cook her lime of beans long enough.
- 27:23Speaker 1: We're about to get engaged, should I think twice before
- 27:26Speaker 1: marrying him?
- 27:28Speaker 4: Well, now I'm gonna be real, which it's hard to
- 27:30Speaker 4: chew down on some tough line. I'm just gonna get
- 27:34Speaker 4: real with you, do.
- 27:34Speaker 9: You know what?
- 27:35Speaker 4: Because they already starchy, you know, and that's like that,
- 27:39Speaker 4: that's like undercooked coin. You know, them starting foods. You
- 27:43Speaker 4: got to cook them through and through. I'd rather have
- 27:44Speaker 4: a soft lime of bean than a crunchy line of bean.
- 27:48Speaker 4: These ain't snap peas. Now, you got to know your grocery.
- 27:51Speaker 4: And I love you know, And if you're gonna be
- 27:54Speaker 4: country and we're gonna get married, you can't be in
- 27:56Speaker 4: here undercooking these limee of bean. And the pastor wife better, Yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 4: hell you and a Harry foe. You should have just
- 28:03Speaker 4: left them own and came to church, cut them on
- 28:05Speaker 4: low and leave them in there on simmer in the
- 28:09Speaker 4: crack five and then call home and tell somebody ain't
- 28:12Speaker 4: there is somebody that don't go to church go up
- 28:14Speaker 4: there and turn them beans off.
- 28:17Speaker 2: But you gotta say it like that. That's how they
- 28:20Speaker 2: always go in there and turn them beans off.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Somebo they run over, You know how they go because
- 28:29Speaker 4: somebody at that street, in their apartment across the street,
- 28:33Speaker 4: got the kid your house because you made friends with them.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Y'all had your own little watch committee, and you know,
- 28:39Speaker 4: to send them over to the house cause they don't
- 28:41Speaker 4: never go to church and turn them beans off.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I got a question lady that wrote the letter, is
- 28:47Speaker 1: she white? Because she says some dating black man man see?
- 28:51Speaker 2: And now that I kind of thought that too.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I wouldn't gonna say that because I try to stay
- 28:55Speaker 4: out of hild when I came as. You don't give
- 28:58Speaker 4: it from here I go. You know, y'all always running
- 29:02Speaker 4: stuff under hot water. Anyway, You got the ball and
- 29:05Speaker 4: blind of beans and your pastor's wife don't know how
- 29:08Speaker 4: to cook. And I don't blame it black for saying
- 29:10Speaker 4: nothing about it, because I'm not gonna be coming over
- 29:12Speaker 4: here these little white dinners, and y'all under cooking these
- 29:15Speaker 4: vegetables and running these hot water across these green beans
- 29:18Speaker 4: and slicing up these almonds on them. I'm not coming
- 29:21Speaker 4: over here for this. And stop putting these marshmallows on
- 29:24Speaker 4: top of these jam Who talked y'all to do that?
- 29:27Speaker 4: And we like dressing and dressing and stovetop is two
- 29:31Speaker 4: different things, entirely coming to the White Church.
- 29:35Speaker 1: No more, thank you for yellow. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 29:41Speaker 1: Morning Show. Here's a question for us. Uh, listen to this.

- 30:00Speaker 8: Listen.
- 30:00Speaker 1: We're always helping our boss.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Take it away, crew, We're always helping our company. That
- 30:05Speaker 2: ain't a question about, no you helping me? Question is

- 30:15Speaker 2: Oh, hear about all that old other self call we
- 30:18Speaker 2: do this and that. That ain't what the question is.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know we got to set it up,
- 30:22Speaker 1: all right. So you know we're always helping our bosses.
- 30:24Speaker 1: We help our companies often we do extra work then
- 30:27Speaker 1: get left in the dust when our companies have bigger opportunities.
- 30:31Speaker 1: But some of us have great bosses. Okay, trying to
- 30:34Speaker 1: get to this part, Steve, some of us have great bosses. Uh,
- 30:39Speaker 1: time for us to share with Steve, our boss, what
- 30:42Speaker 1: he did for us to help us live our dream.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Wants to go. I think Junior wants to what they
- 30:48Speaker 1: got to live.
- 30:48Speaker 15: Let me just say about my boss will live my dream.
- 30:51Speaker 15: First thing my boss did will give me jobs? Yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 15: first of all, let's just look at the jobs, little
- 30:59Speaker 15: big shot. Yeah, Apollo, Steve TV and this hip morning Shoot.
- 31:06Speaker 15: Now what else do I have to thank him for? Yeah,
- 31:10Speaker 15: I'm pretty good. I'm pretty good.
- 31:12Speaker 14: You're good.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good, Junior. That's the come up, right, Yes? Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 1: all right? The question is what is your boss done
- 31:21Speaker 1: to help you live your dreams? Go ahead, Carla, are
- 31:24Speaker 1: you still writing your list down?
- 31:27Speaker 14: Uh?
- 31:27Speaker 4: Huh yeah?
- 31:28Speaker 9: Let me.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Tom He don't even know what.
- 31:34Speaker 1: No, Tommy's going last because.
- 31:36Speaker 2: He's your nephew.
- 31:38Speaker 1: He's going take time I can talk for. No, he's
- 31:42Speaker 1: gonna go last because you're his uncle. Sure is going Yeah, okay,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I'm going.
- 31:49Speaker 12: So the first thing you've done is allow me to
- 31:54Speaker 12: continue being an executive manager in radio for over twenty something.
- 32:00Speaker 12: You think I am the only black African American woman
- 32:09Speaker 12: to be running a syndicated show in this country. Right,
- 32:14Speaker 12: that's thanks to you. Let's see what else. And you
- 32:18Speaker 12: encourage me to launch my own lip glass, my own
- 32:21Speaker 12: lip glass line.
- 32:22Speaker 1: So thank you very much.
- 32:24Speaker 12: Entrepreneurial, ownership, cosmetic or guru, whatever you want to say.
- 32:29Speaker 1: So thank you, Steve. That's awesome. All right, here's the question.
- 32:34Speaker 1: What has your boss done to help you live your dreams?
- 32:38Speaker 2: All right? My turn?
- 32:39Speaker 1: All right? First of all, First of all, Steve has
- 32:42Speaker 1: made me laugh more than I've ever laughed in my
- 32:45Speaker 1: entire life, which is a great thing. I mean it
- 32:48Speaker 1: just yeah, we're trying to give you love here. You've
- 32:54Speaker 1: made me laugh, really laugh. Okay. Here's the other thing
- 32:57Speaker 1: you've done for me. You've taught me because I didn't
- 33:00Speaker 1: know this before I met you. You taught me about
- 33:04Speaker 1: men and how men think and all of this kind
- 33:07Speaker 1: of thing. Okay, you taught me about that. I didn't
- 33:10Speaker 1: know that at first. I didn't have a dad. I
- 33:12Speaker 1: didn't really have you know, like a lot of male
- 33:14Speaker 1: role models in my life. So you became that for me.
- 33:17Speaker 1: So you became like a father, brother uncle to me
- 33:21Speaker 1: as well, all right, and that yeah, you made me.
- 33:25Speaker 1: You allowed me to help you write on your most
- 33:28Speaker 1: successful book, your first time out, you know, I mean
- 33:32Speaker 1: really you gave me credit for that, you paid me
- 33:34Speaker 1: for that. That was awesome, and you keep me employed
- 33:36Speaker 1: every day. So thank you very much, sir. We are
- 33:39Speaker 1: answering the question, what has your boss done to help
- 33:43Speaker 1: you live your dreams? Nephew, Tommy, you.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Uncle don't have to leave you.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Now.
- 34:03Speaker 14: He has motivated me, and it's just certain lines that
- 34:07Speaker 14: he has said to me directly that has just motivated
- 34:11Speaker 14: me to follow my dread. Uh cussed me completely high.
- 34:17Speaker 14: That that motivates me. Told me I was a worldless
- 34:22Speaker 14: Yeah I was. Okay, that's so motivational. Uh, I would
- 34:27Speaker 14: be told me I would be nothing without him. Motivate Honey,
- 34:33Speaker 14: just told me yesterday I was stupid and unintelligent.
- 34:37Speaker 2: He said, stop him when he lies, let him.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Motivated me. Motivated me to follow my dream uh my
- 34:48Speaker 1: raggedy career.
- 34:50Speaker 14: Yeah yeah, yeah, motivation Uh quit being a one job
- 34:58Speaker 14: having sorry person. Yes, motivated me to follow my old
- 35:04Speaker 14: hug now and then he motivates me even more when
- 35:08Speaker 14: he describes how I look shout how ug lads man
- 35:14Speaker 14: right there, very strang It just motivates to.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Keep you ground.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Don't forget turtle Tommy.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I left the turtle line. I looked like the
- 35:23Speaker 2: watch commercial.
- 35:26Speaker 14: But that motivated all of these motivational lines that I've
- 35:29Speaker 14: got you something to follow my dream?
- 35:32Speaker 1: What this is your response to the question, what is
- 35:35Speaker 1: your boss done to help you live your dreams? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 1: that's it right, there's a right I have been cussed
- 35:42Speaker 1: into my dream. Let me see how you feel you feel?
- 35:47Speaker 2: See, you know some of the stuff I have forgotten.
- 35:51Speaker 4: I appreciate y'all remembering it, but you know, I do
- 35:55Speaker 4: have a strange way of motivating that time. But I
- 35:58Speaker 4: am in the uplift business. It just aggravates me when
- 36:01Speaker 4: the person I'm trying to uplift don't want to be
- 36:04Speaker 4: lifted up.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Yeah, then I turn on them get lifted, you know.
- 36:09Speaker 4: And but you all have turned out to be wonderful

- 38:45Speaker 5: All right?
- 38:46Speaker 2: Hey, hey, what does your ba even fall? I'm just
- 38:52Speaker 2: taking a bath for what?
- 38:56Speaker 1: Yeah, i'd be suspicious? Yeah, all right, are you quite done?
- 39:01Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 39:03Speaker 3: All right?
- 39:04Speaker 1: Would you rather have fortune or fame? That's easy? Fortune today,
- 39:12Speaker 1: let's ask the most famous person. That's easy.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Let me tell you something.
- 39:18Speaker 4: If I could find a way to make this money
- 39:22Speaker 4: and nobody everybody leave me alone?
- 39:26Speaker 2: Yeah, heartbeat, that's.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Right, No, that's right, all right. Would you rather be
- 39:38Speaker 1: a clown in a rodeo who distracts the bull or
- 39:42Speaker 1: would you rather be the cowboy who rides the bull.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna be the clown and you bet not
- 39:50Speaker 4: fall off of it when I'm out there ready to
- 39:54Speaker 4: get the roll and get your arena. Come on, dog,
- 39:57Speaker 4: come out out hey, But I don't be nowhere near it.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Bull, do that shout again.
- 40:05Speaker 6: I like cowboy, just didn't this crazy?
- 40:15Speaker 1: Get out for him, Get out for him? All right,
- 40:17Speaker 1: we gotta go Yo.
- 40:19Speaker 2: This is Jamie Foxx.
- 40:20Speaker 3: This is Kim Whiley.
- 40:21Speaker 2: You already know what it is, Maag.
- 40:22Speaker 1: You're match go bean and you are now listening to
- 40:24Speaker 1: the Steve Horvey Morning Show. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 40:34Speaker 1: All right, Steve, it's time to check your voicemail. If
- 40:36Speaker 1: you want to leave Steve avoicemail, call him eight seven
- 40:39Speaker 1: seven twenty nine. Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve,
- 40:43Speaker 1: let's go to the first caller. Her name is Michelle.
- 40:45Speaker 1: She's from Greenville, Mississippi. Tay, Steve.
- 40:48Speaker 11: My name is Michelle. I'm from Greenville, Mississippi. I was
- 40:52Speaker 11: driving and listening to your closing remarks and it almost
- 40:55Speaker 11: brought me to tears. I had this exact same conversation
- 40:59Speaker 11: you're closing remarks mentioned with my son yesterday and I
- 41:02Speaker 11: googled him, and I hope it's somewhere online that he
- 41:05Speaker 11: can actually listen to let him know it's just not
- 41:08Speaker 11: me talking that it is true statements that are from
- 41:10Speaker 11: people you don't even know in person. But I thank
- 41:13Speaker 11: you for that, and I pray that my son listens
- 41:16Speaker 11: to that message, because Steve, he is so lost. He's
- 41:19Speaker 11: only twenty two, and I believe I'm about to lose
- 41:21Speaker 11: my child.
- 41:22Speaker 2: But thank you so very muche.
- 41:25Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 41:25Speaker 12: I believe you're talking about the one where Pastor Will
- 41:28Speaker 12: the one that we played the phone call the other
- 41:30Speaker 12: day and you followed up with that talking about God,
- 41:35Speaker 12: and it was very moving what you were saying, So
- 41:37Speaker 12: I believe this is what Miss Michelle from Mississippi was
- 41:41Speaker 12: referring to.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Well, thanks, but keep praying for your son though he
- 41:44Speaker 4: ain't totally lost, don't ever give up on prayer.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Prayer change his thing, Prayer, change people too.
- 41:51Speaker 1: That's right, all right, Steve. As we move on, this
- 41:54Speaker 1: caller needs some relationship advice about trusting a cheating husband.
- 42:00Speaker 9: Okay, Steeve, hope us for some information and advice from you.
- 42:05Speaker 12: I was a victim of infidelity.
- 42:08Speaker 10: I'm not going to say a victim.
- 42:09Speaker 9: I'm going to say my husband he did on me.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I'll just say that.
- 42:14Speaker 11: And it's been several years.
- 42:17Speaker 1: And I decided to stay and we're working it out,
- 42:20Speaker 1: but I just don't trust them. Can you give me
- 42:22Speaker 1: some advice on how I can start trusting my husband again.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I really love them, I want us to stay together,
- 42:30Speaker 1: but I just I just don't trust them, and I
- 42:33Speaker 1: really want to thank you.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Well.
- 42:36Speaker 4: I don't know the exact answer to that, to be
- 42:39Speaker 4: honest with you, because there's so many particulars when you
- 42:42Speaker 4: get into things like this. But one thing is if
- 42:47Speaker 4: your husband's behavior has changed, then it could mean as
- 42:52Speaker 4: it's been a change in him. Now, if you're going
- 42:55Speaker 4: to hang on to these feelings that you have nothing
- 43:00Speaker 4: I or anybody else can do, because if you're gonna
- 43:04Speaker 4: stay in that feeling for whatever the reason, now, you
- 43:07Speaker 4: may be very legitimizing that feeling now because that maybe
- 43:12Speaker 4: you're seeing a reoccurring pattern which causing you not to
- 43:16Speaker 4: fully trust again, or maybe your intuition is telling you
- 43:21Speaker 4: something is still happening even though you see a little
- 43:24Speaker 4: bit of change.
- 43:25Speaker 2: See, I don't know what that is, so I really
- 43:28Speaker 2: can't advise you on this.
- 43:31Speaker 4: But you cannot live your life in an untrusting atmosphere.
- 43:37Speaker 2: You just can't.
- 43:39Speaker 4: That's hard to do for anybody, to keep walking in
- 43:44Speaker 4: a door into a home.
- 43:48Speaker 2: That's not a peaceful existence for you.
- 43:51Speaker 4: And I got you wanted to work, But you got
- 43:54Speaker 4: to ask yourself a couple of questions.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Is this my soul mate?
- 43:59Speaker 4: It's because you gotta ask yourself that am I staying
- 44:02Speaker 4: in this simply because I've been in it? Because a
- 44:05Speaker 4: lot of people don't want to leave a relationship because
- 44:07Speaker 4: the time they have invested.
- 44:09Speaker 2: In it, right, And then always ask people the same.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Questions, Well, I've been with him eight years and if
- 44:16Speaker 4: I just leave, it'll all be for nothing. Well, let
- 44:19Speaker 4: men ask you this question. Do you want eight more
- 44:21Speaker 4: years of the previous eight years? You got to ask
- 44:23Speaker 4: that question too, Yes, women, I can't yeah that time? Yeah, yeah,
- 44:30Speaker 4: you hang on to that time instead of hanging on
- 44:33Speaker 4: to what you want or what you deserve.
- 44:35Speaker 1: But on the other side of that, Steve, with just
- 44:39Speaker 1: a few seconds left, if he has cheated, can he
- 44:43Speaker 1: change his ways? Absolutely? Women?
- 44:46Speaker 4: Have you all up spreading bad information? Once a cheata,
- 44:50Speaker 4: always a cheata. That's not true. People change and get
- 44:55Speaker 4: it right all the time. Once a thief don't make
- 44:57Speaker 4: you always a thief.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I just wanted you to point that out.
- 45:02Speaker 2: A hold on real quick, like that dude on TikTok's head.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Just because I cheated one time, I'm a cheater if
- 45:12Speaker 4: I cut your hat one time in my ball Yeah.
- 45:18Speaker 2: All right, now, all right, okay, all right?
- 45:23Speaker 1: Coming up next our prank phone call for today. Right
- 45:26Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 45:33Speaker 1: All right, coming up at about four minutes after the hour,
- 45:36Speaker 1: it's my strawberry letter for today, and the subject is
- 45:39Speaker 1: get this my brother's ex wife on the car. We
- 45:44Speaker 1: don't know what that means on the car, but we're
- 45:47Speaker 1: gonna find out.
- 45:50Speaker 11: On the car.
- 45:53Speaker 1: The car. I've been in the car, but not on
- 45:56Speaker 1: the car I've been on. But that's so uncomfortable, really,
- 46:04Speaker 1: it is.
- 46:10Speaker 8: Clear.
- 46:15Speaker 1: All right, we'll get into that in just a bit.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Right now, it is time for the nephew and the
- 46:21Speaker 1: prank phone call. What you got for his neph What
- 46:23Speaker 1: you got that? Right here is I left my ring.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I left my ring.
- 46:31Speaker 2: I left.
- 46:34Speaker 1: All right, let's go get dog. I left my wreck.
- 46:39Speaker 9: Hello, I'm trying to reach a mister, mister and missus
- 46:42Speaker 9: please all right, my name is doctor. I'm actually trying
- 46:46Speaker 9: to reach your husband, Clarence. Is he Is he available?
- 46:52Speaker 10: Is that reason you'll collin?
- 46:54Speaker 9: Well, I'm actually the surgeon that actually did the procedure
- 46:57Speaker 9: on removing his gallstones. I was doing as any complications as.
- 47:01Speaker 10: Far more complication.
- 47:05Speaker 9: Okay, well listen, there's a couple little bit of things
- 47:08Speaker 9: I want to discuss with you guys and see if
- 47:10Speaker 9: we can maybe get em rectified. Is he around? Oh?
- 47:17Speaker 13: What is this in racks?
- 47:19Speaker 9: To actually actually, when we actually did the procedure on
- 47:23Speaker 9: your on your husband and removing the gallstones, I will
- 47:27Speaker 9: say that there's a bit of a mistake made and
- 47:28Speaker 9: I'm hoping that he can come back in so we
- 47:30Speaker 9: can kind of get it rectified. You know, it'll be
- 47:33Speaker 9: actually thirty minutes and he'll be in and out. But actually,
- 47:35Speaker 9: when I removed the gallstones, and I'm very embarrassed to
- 47:39Speaker 9: say this, I actually left my wedding ring inside your husbins.
- 47:45Speaker 9: And I understand man, I say I actually left my
- 47:50Speaker 9: wedding ring inside your husband when I actually removed the gallstones.
- 47:54Speaker 9: And I'm hoping that he'll come back in so I
- 47:56Speaker 9: can actually take it out and and he'll be on
- 47:58Speaker 9: his way.
- 48:00Speaker 10: He's my boy.
- 48:01Speaker 1: The Last Book.
- 48:17Speaker 9: Hello, Hello, Hello, mister. Yeah, how you doing this is doctor?
- 48:21Speaker 9: I actually did the surgery on you when you were
- 48:24Speaker 9: came in and got your golfstones removed. I remember you that.
- 48:27Speaker 9: I will say this, missus Clarence. I actually made a
- 48:30Speaker 9: bit of a mistake when you were here, and and
- 48:32Speaker 9: my apology. If I can actually get you to come
- 48:34Speaker 9: back here, man, I can get you taken care of.
- 48:37Speaker 9: But and then this is just a big mistake on
- 48:39Speaker 9: my part. But when you guys came in and I
- 48:41Speaker 9: removed your stones, I actually left my wedding ring inside
- 48:45Speaker 9: inside of me. Yeah, yes, sir, your wedding ring. Sir.
- 48:49Speaker 9: I know this is crazy, but yes, I have truly
- 48:53Speaker 9: made a mistake and wanted to see if I can
- 48:54Speaker 9: get this thing rectified and get this thing taken out.
- 48:57Speaker 9: And I tell you, man, I've I've been without my
- 48:59Speaker 9: ring and my wife is raising holy hell about it. Yeah,
- 49:03Speaker 9: but you know something about it. We got a problem
- 49:05Speaker 9: with what do you mean? I mean, I'm about to
- 49:08Speaker 9: go back to work. I really can't be going back
- 49:10Speaker 9: into the operating room for somebody to take a ring
- 49:13Speaker 9: out of me that they left by mistake.
- 49:16Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying.
- 49:18Speaker 9: Okay, I mean you know, I realized your wife.
- 49:21Speaker 10: Might be upsetting. You need your ring.
- 49:23Speaker 9: But at this point that ring's gonna have to stay
- 49:25Speaker 9: where it is for a while. So I can't ironically
- 49:28Speaker 9: can't allow what that ring to stay there another two
- 49:30Speaker 9: or three days. I don't think you understand exactly what
- 49:32Speaker 9: I'm going through. There's no way I can allow that. Yeah,
- 49:36Speaker 9: I got to go back to work. But you know something,
- 49:38Speaker 9: I mean, you know, I mean, you know we're talking
- 49:39Speaker 9: about a bad, bad, serious problem. You know, we're talking
- 49:42Speaker 9: about malpractice. I mean, you know we're talking about me
- 49:45Speaker 9: taking out more time from work when I'm ready.
- 49:46Speaker 10: To go back.
- 49:47Speaker 9: I mean, you know we're talking law suit, all kinds
- 49:49Speaker 9: of stuff here. We need to get together. Can you
- 49:51Speaker 9: hear me that? No? Oh, okay, my wife's a upset
- 49:58Speaker 9: to a I mean, you know I can't get back
- 50:02Speaker 9: on an operating team. Cirt. This won't take the seconds
- 50:05Speaker 9: it's actually for me to snip that thing and get
- 50:06Speaker 9: that ring out of there. It won't take but a minute.
- 50:08Speaker 9: I mean, you still have the same incisions there. I
- 50:11Speaker 9: can go right back into where the same scar was
- 50:13Speaker 9: and take that out and keep.
- 50:14Speaker 1: It moving on.
- 50:15Speaker 9: Go back into the same if you're going to operate again,
- 50:17Speaker 9: if you cut me, oh sir, I promise you that
- 50:20Speaker 9: you won't even know I was there. I'll go in
- 50:22Speaker 9: there and take that ring out just that quickly.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Okay, But.
- 50:26Speaker 9: Let me ask you this, ye my wife, My wife
- 50:27Speaker 9: is about to go crazy. I'm pretty I'm a pretty
- 50:30Speaker 9: good guy here, but I mean, you know you got
- 50:32Speaker 9: lefpar ring in me. I mean, you know, do you
- 50:34Speaker 9: all have mal practice in shirtance? And we have plenty
- 50:36Speaker 9: of insurance. You know, It's really more about what I'm
- 50:40Speaker 9: going through at home. So I'm doing this, but young, yeah,
- 50:42Speaker 9: pretty much here at this point, I mean, no one
- 50:44Speaker 9: actually from the hospital actually knows what I'm actually calling you. Wow, right,
- 50:49Speaker 9: you know. I mean that's a big, big problem. You
- 50:51Speaker 9: said something about malpractic now, I didn't say anything about
- 50:54Speaker 9: mail practice. You guys actually said that. I didn't say anything. Okay,
- 50:58Speaker 9: now let me okay, hold on now, darsh hold on.
- 51:03Speaker 9: Uh well, now, let me ask you. This's here. Every
- 51:05Speaker 9: time I've heard of somebody leaving something inside of somebody.
- 51:08Speaker 9: You know, it usually end up being a situation where
- 51:10Speaker 9: it sets up infections or stuff. Well, that's eighteen carre go.
- 51:14Speaker 9: That's not gonna infect you at all. Yeah, I understand
- 51:17Speaker 9: what you're saying, but good grief. I mean, I just
- 51:20Speaker 9: I mean, I didn't even want to do the first surgery,
- 51:22Speaker 9: but I didn't have any choice. You know what, miss,
- 51:25Speaker 9: I'll be honest with you. I've tried to talk to
- 51:27Speaker 9: you and be patient with you. If I got to
- 51:29Speaker 9: come over and put some cold form up against your
- 51:32Speaker 9: nose and knock you out in order to perform this
- 51:34Speaker 9: procedure to get my ring, then that's what I gotta do.
- 51:37Speaker 10: Oh ho, hold on that. That what I'm supposed to
- 51:40Speaker 10: be doing while you're doing that.
- 51:41Speaker 9: You hear that what he said?
- 51:43Speaker 7: Woa, come along, Come on.
- 51:46Speaker 10: You know I'm not gonna stand for these threats.
- 51:48Speaker 8: Died.
- 51:49Speaker 10: You know that's your problem with your ring.
- 51:51Speaker 12: Now.
- 51:51Speaker 9: You know, up until now everything was cool. Now you
- 51:54Speaker 9: got a big problem. I tell you it's here.
- 51:57Speaker 10: I'm at home right now.
- 51:59Speaker 9: You're at home with my ring.

- 56:11Speaker 1: happy marriage until three months ago. He was a family man,
- 56:15Speaker 1: and he's allowed two of my younger siblings to live
- 56:18Speaker 1: with us in the past. My youngest brother is twenty eight,
- 56:22Speaker 1: and he rushed into marriage after he got a woman pregnant.
- 56:25Speaker 1: It was obvious that his wife was not the marrying type.
- 56:28Speaker 1: She's twenty five and all she does is smoke weed
- 56:31Speaker 1: and drink. One night, she went home drunk and tried
- 56:35Speaker 1: to fight my brother, so he put her out and
- 56:37Speaker 1: divorced her a few months later. She resurfaced three months
- 56:41Speaker 1: ago asking if she could stay with my husband and
- 56:44Speaker 1: I while she looked for a job close to the
- 56:46Speaker 1: baby's daycare. We agreed to one week. This girl ate
- 56:50Speaker 1: our food and used my car and never said thank you.
- 56:54Speaker 1: My husband claimed he didn't like her attitude, so he
- 56:57Speaker 1: avoided her. That's a lie. Just five days after she
- 57:01Speaker 1: got to our house, she ruined my life. She was
- 57:04Speaker 1: out smoking wheed on the patio and my husband was gone.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Around nine pm, I heard noises coming from the carport,
- 57:12Speaker 1: so I went to see if it was my husband.
- 57:14Speaker 1: It was him and my brother's wife, who had her
- 57:19Speaker 1: bent over his car, and when they heard me, they
- 57:23Speaker 1: started pulling up their pants. I told them both to leave.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I was so shocked. I was so shocked that she
- 57:30Speaker 1: would do that to me. My husband moved out and
- 57:33Speaker 1: served me with divorce papers. Recently, he said it is
- 57:37Speaker 1: all his fault and he could never look me in
- 57:39Speaker 1: the eyes after what he did. Now, my only problem
- 57:42Speaker 1: is that my brother wants his family back together and
- 57:45Speaker 1: he wants to remarry his ex wife. How can he
- 57:49Speaker 1: want her back. I've lost my husband, and if my
- 57:53Speaker 1: brother remarries this woman, I won't ever speak to him again.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Would I be wrong to cut my little brother off?
- 58:00Speaker 1: You know what I got to tell you. You have
- 58:02Speaker 1: every right to handle this situation however you see fit.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I clearly understand why you're angry. I understand why you
- 58:10Speaker 1: feel betrayed by your brother, by his ex wife, by
- 58:14Speaker 1: all of this situation, but him getting ready to remarry
- 58:18Speaker 1: this weed smoking trifle and Heffert who broke up your marriage. Wow,
- 58:22Speaker 1: that's a lot. That's a lot. So handle it however
- 58:24Speaker 1: you need to handle it. I mean, you're thinking, how
- 58:27Speaker 1: could he.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Do this to you?
- 58:28Speaker 9: I get it.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Either he's still in love with her or has forgiven
- 58:31Speaker 1: her for having sex with his brother in law, your husband,
- 58:34Speaker 1: which I don't know how he could, or he's just
- 58:36Speaker 1: whipped and just stupid. I mean, I don't know, but
- 58:40Speaker 1: some of the blame for all this has to go
- 58:42Speaker 1: to you and your husband for letting her come back.
- 58:44Speaker 1: You knew what kind of person she was. Letting her
- 58:47Speaker 1: come back to live with you is crazy because you
- 58:49Speaker 1: just knew how she caused the breakup of her own marriage.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Then you double back and invite the devil in your
- 58:56Speaker 1: house again after your brother divorced her. Why would you
- 59:00Speaker 1: do that? Her coming back to live with you should
- 59:03Speaker 1: have never happened at that point. I'm sure your brother
- 59:06Speaker 1: felt some kind of way about you think about it,
- 59:09Speaker 1: but I don't know what the damage is done now.
- 59:12Speaker 1: So there's enough hurt and pain to go around for
- 59:14Speaker 1: everyone in this entire family. So no, I definitely get
- 59:18Speaker 1: it if you're mad at your little brother for taking
- 59:20Speaker 1: her back, but at some point you're gonna have to
- 59:22Speaker 1: forgive him so you can move on. That's his life.
- 59:26Speaker 9: You know.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Your husband, on the other hand, cannot look you in
- 59:30Speaker 1: the eye because he knows what he did to cause
- 59:32Speaker 1: all of this. I'm glad that nowhere in this letter
- 59:35Speaker 1: did you say you were taking him back because what
- 59:39Speaker 1: he did was just foul.
- 59:40Speaker 4: Steve, I see what's happening in the letter. My brother's
- 59:47Speaker 4: ex wife on the car hit The problem. The real
- 59:52Speaker 4: problem in all of this is your husband. This is
- 59:57Speaker 4: your real problem. You ain't married to your brother. You
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: didn't marry his skank ex wife. You're married to your husband.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: On the person that owes you their loyalty in this letter,
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: that owes you and promised it to you was your husband.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: It ain't enough in this letter about your husband. You
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: keep talking about bringing up this girl and man and
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: how could she do this to me and your brother?
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: And if he should I cut him off, if he remarried?
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: What?
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: What you need to get your priorities lined up here?
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Your real problem is your husband. He the only one
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: took a vow to you, Your brother, stupid, the girl trash.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: What you expect from stupidity? And what do you expect
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: from trash? Stupid people are going to do stupid things.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: Trash type. People are gonna do trash thing. The only
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: decent and see your husband got in him is he? No,
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: he can't look you in that because of what he did.
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: He know that.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: All right, let me try to walk you through the
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: hignas right here. It's really nothing to do. I'm separated
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: for three months. I'm getting divorced. Your husband and I
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: we had a very happy marriage to three months ago.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: He was a family member. He allowed two of my
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: younger siblings to live with us in the past, my
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: youngest brother twenty eight. He rushed into Marria, got a
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: woman pregnant. Obvious wife wasn't to marry and type. She
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: twenty five. All she do is smoke wheat and drink.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: One night she went home drunk and tried to fight
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: my brothers. So he put out and divorced her a
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: few months later. Now he is a part where Shirley.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: I understand. She resurfered three months ago asking if she
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: could stay with my husband, and I watched she looked
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: for a job close to the baby's daycare.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: We agreed.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: The one week I understood that that's okay. That wasn't
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: inviting the devil back in. That was just your husband
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: has proven he's a family man. But Gee's really really
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: a family man. Ah See, the problem is your hub.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: All that thought, Steve. Okay, we'll be back with part
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: two of your response, coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: after today's Strawberry letter subject my brother's ex wife.
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: On the car.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: Get into the Hyundai Getaway Sales event and get away
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: with the deal so right, it almost feels wrong.

- 1:02:39Speaker 4: ready SUV's like the Hondai Santa Fe, or go all

- 1:02:52Speaker 14: with a great deal only during the Hondai Getaway Sale event.
- 1:02:55Speaker 14: Visit Hyundai USA dot com for details.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: the subject to my brother's ex wife on the car.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: Listen to me this whole thing, lady, this letter, about
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: this woman, about your brother, whether you should accept your
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: brother back, How could she do this to me? All
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: of this your focus should be purely on your hooks. Now,
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: some ramifications and some fallout behind it. But your husband
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: bought all this. See you said in your letter you
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: and your husband had a really happy marriage. He was
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: a family man. He allowed two of my younger siblings
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: to live with us. My youngest brother, twenty eight, rushed
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: into married. He got a girl pregnant. Obviously, she wasn't
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: a man type. She twenty five. All she do is
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: smoke weed and drink. One night she went home drunk
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: and tried to fight my brother, so he put out
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: and divorced her a few months later. You're not divorcing
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: a woman because she came home drunk and tried to
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: fight you.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: It's way more to this today, way way more to
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: this than that, yo.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: But see, your brother stupid, So he ain't smart enough
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: to divorce you just because you came home drunk and
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: wanted to fight him.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no no no no no.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: Something happened while she was out that caused the fight
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: that made him put out, that made him want to divorce.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: She resurfaced three months ago, ask him she could stay
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: with my husband and while I was living and with
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: our while while she looked poor job close to the
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: baby's takers. We agreed to one week. That's being nicer.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: Father.
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: You just said that your husband is a family man,
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: and he allowed two of your longer, younger siblings live
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: with y'all.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: You said that this girl ate our food, used my card,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: never said thank you.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: You just said she smoked weed and drink all day.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: She ain't got time to say thank you. It's hard
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: to say thank you. Why are you smoking weed?
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, hell, you can't remember her manners and stuff
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: over you.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: My husband claimed he didn't like her attitude, so he
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: avoided her.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: That's a lie.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Five days after she got to our house, she ruined
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: my life. Oh dish.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: She was out smoking weed on the patio or my
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: husband was gone. Around nine pm, I heard noises from
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: the car port, so I went to see if it
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: was my husband, and it was and my brother's wife.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: He had her bent over his car, and when they
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: heard me, they started pulling up.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: They pass. I told them both to leave. That's a
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: lot of stuff missing in this letter right here.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: Oh lord, oh lord, girl, See anyway, let's just leave
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: that alone. I was so shocked that she would do
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: that to me. You were so shocked that she would
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: do that to you, But do that to you? You
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: shocked at her? Your sentence was he had her bent
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: over his car, He had her been over his car.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Your next line is, I was so shocked she would
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: do that to me.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: You didn't. You forgot about the last statement you made. Anyway,
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: my husband moved out and served me with divorce papers.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Reason.
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: He said it was all his fault and he could
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: never look me in the eye after what he did. Okay, cool,
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: Now my only problem here we go?
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Here we go now.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: My only problem is that my brother wants his family
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: back together and he wants to remarry his ex wife.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: How that's your problem. You got your priorities wrong. Your
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: marriage is gone. The problem ain't your your brother stupid?
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: We done talked about this. He's stupid. He wants to
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: remarry his ex wife. How can he want her back.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Because he's stupid.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: And I lost my husband and if my brother remarries
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: this woman, I don't ever want to speak to him again.
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: That's the decision you're making. Would I be wrong to
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: cut my brother? Cut your brother off? You cut your
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: husband off? He's stupid? My question is he want her back?
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: What is she doing to these means? Lord kidding Dad?
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: Is the question for me?
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: What is this alcoholic, weed smoking woman doing to these
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: men that make him in the cop hope and your
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: wife right there in the house. What is she doing
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: that make your brother want her back? After your brother no,
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: he been with she been with your ex husband and
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: he wanted to remarry her. What is she doing doing
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: some things? And I'm just gonna have to be honest
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: with y'all. It is really undescribable for this wow in
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: this letter right here, Mac magnificent.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Feats of them. But that's all she can do though.
- 1:08:21Speaker 17: She can't think. She can't save money, she can't raise kids,
- 1:08:26Speaker 17: she don't know where the baby, They can't act, she
- 1:08:29Speaker 17: has no thought to the future. But lord Lord, Lord Lord,
- 1:08:35Speaker 17: I think there's some clapping involved.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: I'm not sure.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Okay, please leave your.

- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Well, here's some tips to help you
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: stay healthy for the fall season. And you may have
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: some tips of your own, Steve. As we head into
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: the cold and flu season, load up on foods that
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: can boost your immune system, including foods rich and vitamin
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: C and vitamin D. You have any tips, Steve.
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: Yeah, you have got to stop being an alcoholic. You
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: are alcoholic. You have got to check yourself.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: In other words, stop going down to that cold of stove.
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: It's a must. If you alcoholic. You got to stop
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: that right now. That's my number one tip. Help all alcoholics.
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: Must stop being alcoholic, immediate go ahead.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Ship, All right, here's another one. Make sleep a priority.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Being well rested is crucial to staying healthy.
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: Sleep is important to your health. Too much sleep is
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: critical to your wealth.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: How much sleep are you supposed to get per night?
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I don't believe.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Let I ain't never slept a.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Year because I don't. I don't see how you need
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: once you're not a child anymore. I don't see why
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: you need eight hours. I don't know how the child need.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: But I'm glad they sleep well. I mean a child
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: because he's growing his bones, got extend and all this it.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: Children have to sleep, right, But adults, if you're sleeping
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: eight hours, you're growing. But you're growing. You're not growing taller,
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: you're growing wider. And I don't I mean, like you said, Tommy,
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: you don't know last time you had eight hours? Do
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: you sleep eight hours?
- 1:12:08Speaker 9: Never?
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Do you need eight hours?
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: I got, I got sickle cell.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Sleep eight hours.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Hell, I'm sick and don't get eight out.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: But I just don't.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: I'm not a proponent of eight hours is a third
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: of your life. I find that desperately hard to see
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: how you can have a quality life if.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: You sleep a third of it. That does not make
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: sense to me.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: But I'm not gonna get into that no more because
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: they ate me up on the internet talking about Steve
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: Harvey prefers wealth over health.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: So here's my thing about sleep.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: If you want to sleep, get all you want sleep
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: as long as you like, you can sleep your life away.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: You can sleep.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: You can sleep until you dream the most magnificent dreams.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: But I'm telling you this, to make a dream come true,
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: you got to get woke, stay well. So but if
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: you want to sleep, go ahead, Steve, don't give it
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: no more.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: So there's a topic circulating on social media. Many of
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: us have experienced the dating scene, okay before we were
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: married and all of that stuff, And a lot of
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: women expect men to pay for the check, help with
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: their bills, their rent, their groceries, nails, hair bags, cell phones, etc.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: And on the other hand, some men feel like just
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: because we're dating or in a relationship, that they shouldn't
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: have to help with your bills or help you keep
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: up with a certain lifestyle. We're in this together. I
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: should get something from you and you should get something
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: from me. So, Steve, we got to ask you, as
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: you are our chief love officer, Well what do you
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: think think about this? I mean it's different now.
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: Well, it's a true statement that everybody should get something
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: from the relationship.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Now, if the relationship has progressed.
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: And it looks like you are planning a future together,
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: if you are having any talks or plans of having
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: a future together, why would you align yourself with someone
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: who's not willing or looking forward to taking care of you.
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: And that goes for both the man and the woman,
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: because if this is going to lead to something up
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: the role. Like we're planning on a life together, then
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: we should be planning on the life where we become
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: one and we take care of one another. Now there's
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: an antige that a coach once said, you play the
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: game like you practice. If you've had no practice with
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: taking care of one another, what makes you think after
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: the wedding day, all of a sudden, you gonna want
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: to take care of each other. It doesn't make any
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: sense because there would be plenty of opportunities during the
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: dating process to show your ability or your willingness to
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: take care of one another. So it is a two
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: way street. But you can't expect something that you're not
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: willing to give. I can't expect to get rich if
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: I don't go to work. I can't expect to make
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: it across the other end of that swimming pool unless
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: I done took some swimming lessons.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: I can't expect to.
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: Play golf and part this whole if I ain't been
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: out there in practice. You can't make eight out of
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: ten free throws just by walking up to the line.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: Somebody got a practice making these free throws.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: So so how so do I go to bag and
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: get my writ paid.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you can get.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: All of that is what I need. Okay. So yeah,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you're saying it's a it's an even exchange or something.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: It's there.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: It has to be an exchange.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: An exchange.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Woman, is unreasonable and unfair to walk.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: In thinking somebody just supposed to take care of your hair,
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: your nails and buy you bags. If he wants you
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: to look a certain way, how was you looking before
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: you met it? Yeah, that's just because y'all start dating
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: doesn't mean that he has to come in and take
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: over all these responsibilities all of a sudden with nothing
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: in it for him.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: What you're saying over time and we want different things
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: men and women, right this this may be what women want.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: What do men want?
- 1:16:54Speaker 16: You know?
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: You so you can take care of me?
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Want support?
- 1:16:58Speaker 6: Mm hm.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: Men won't loyalty and men won't respect mm hm.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: Love ain't at the top of the list with us.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Where where where does love fall?
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: It's somewhere in the top four.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Yeah, in the top four.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: But if you're loyal to us and respect us, that's
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: what we that's what we consider love. Yeah, a two
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: hours that you belong to us and we belong to you,
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: that you gonna respect us, and you're gonna support us
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: and be loyal to us, and you can help me
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: get the way I'm trying to get to in life.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: You must love me. But those are the things were
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: looking for. Love is not at the top of the list.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: All right, empty handed? Okay, hell, rent is due. All right.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: up at about twenty minutes after the hour right after this,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve, I
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: know you work a lot. We all know that you
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: have a lot of jobs, but have you ever been
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: this tired and overworked? An exhausted thirty eight year old
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: woman decided that she desperately needed to slow down and
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: get more rest, so she moved into a retirement home
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: community with elderly people. She worked as a screenwriter in
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: the film and television industry for eleven years, and she
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: said the amount of work and hectic schedule really took
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: a toll on her mental and physical health, so she
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: moved into a retirement community to recuperate. She both said
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: her new home offers medical treatments and all of her meals.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: She said it's very quiet there. And she goes to
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: bed every night around nine o'clock PM. Could you see
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: yourself doing that to relax and recharge like this woman.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now. Living around them old
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: people let a whole lot of work right there. You
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: got the help.
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: Hold the door, push that downstairs for dinner time, go
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: in there and help clean them up, pick them up.
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: They she'd have left her alert necklace off. She didne failed.
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: You got to go upstairs on flow six and get
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: her up. Then you're trying to go somewhere they want
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: to go. Now you got call them medi van in here.
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: Now you got to help push up on the ramp.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: You got to make sure that the ramps. There's too
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: much work. Being old shouldn't have been there. Eating of
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: a tapiocre putting. I'm too young for tapioca putting. I
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: want to chew stuff. I still got teeth. I don't
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: want to you can yellow and all this sist, all
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: this hospital food and stuff. I want to hear them,
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: old son, we'll have more. I don't see the advantage
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: of living down a bunch of older people myself.

- 1:24:39Speaker 1: before your closing remarks, we had a voicemail from a
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: caller named Miss l from Chicago, she listens on V
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: one O three and she had something to say, Hi.
- 1:24:50Speaker 16: Good afternoon. My name is Ellen Holmes, and I am
- 1:24:54Speaker 16: just calling discs for us some comments. I just want
- 1:24:57Speaker 16: to say that the Feat Harvey Morning Show, it's a
- 1:25:01Speaker 16: great it's a great tool. It's a great show for listening.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:25:07Speaker 16: I love the staff, and I especially love Steve Harvey.
- 1:25:12Speaker 16: I'm my mom who is now in heaven has gone
- 1:25:16Speaker 16: away to be with the Lord. She loves Steve Harvey
- 1:25:20Speaker 16: so much and got so much from his inspirational and
- 1:25:24Speaker 16: motivational talks that he gives in the morning at the
- 1:25:28Speaker 16: end of the morning show. He's such an inspiration.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: To us and we just love him. He gives such good.
- 1:25:38Speaker 16: Prep fox and inspirational talks and talks about God. And
- 1:25:43Speaker 16: you know how God has blessed him and given us
- 1:25:46Speaker 16: motivation to continue to pray and to serve did and
- 1:25:51Speaker 16: it's such a blessing. He is such a blessing. And
- 1:25:53Speaker 16: I just wanted you guys to know that I enjoy
- 1:25:56Speaker 16: your show. I love the Saturday show. Also the morning show.
- 1:26:02Speaker 16: Just the old destees are and it's so wonderful to
- 1:26:06Speaker 16: get up it, clean up on and and and Sundays Show. Also,
- 1:26:11Speaker 16: I love gospel music. But I just wanted to say
- 1:26:13Speaker 16: about Steve Harvey. I really loved him and for him
- 1:26:17Speaker 16: to continue on and that got to continue to left
- 1:26:21Speaker 16: them and to continue to give his motivational spieces and
- 1:26:25Speaker 16: its moments of inspiration. Okay, thank you, I appreciate you, guys.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: God rest Yeah, you know what, And and that kind
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: of leads me into my closing remarks to it. I
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: thank her for that because faith has been an integral
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: part of my life. It has been the cornerstone, the
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: foundation of everything that I've overcome and everything I have become.
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: See because of my faith, it has been the cornerstone
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: of every thing I have overcome and everything I have become.
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: It is also the foundation my faith of things to come.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: I'm real about that. I was raised this way by
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: my mother, illus Via Harvey gets full credit for this
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: the faith aspect of my life. And I have tried
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: to honor my promise to God when I was out
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: there struggling, I was homeless. I made a promise to
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: him that if he let me make it, when I
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: get there, I was gonna tell everybody about him. So
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: that is what the first twelve minutes of my radio
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: show is about That is why I dropped information about
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: God all the time. That's why a lot of times
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: in my closing remarks, I use this platform to talk
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: about my faith in God.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: Now I've traveled the world.
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: And I was raised also by the same mother to
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: respect all people in all faiths. It doesn't matter that
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: a faith don't see exactly what I see. That's not
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: my calling. It's not for me to judge. It is
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: for me to respect. I have friends from all faiths.
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: I have people I do business with, I have associates.
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: But I know a lot of Jewish people, I know
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: a lot of Muslim people. I know a lot of
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Islamic people. I know people from all faiths. I respect
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: them all because I was taught that. So whatever you
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: hear about me, know the fact you can just base
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: it on everything you've ever heard me say.
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: I talk about it.
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: Because of his goodness, because of his grace, because of
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: his favor, because of his mercy. And you got to
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: be careful, man, when you out there and you hear
- 1:29:08Speaker 4: people talking all the time, when you hear people out
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: there slaming other people, you got to understand why they
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: slaming other people who gives them the power and the right.
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: Somebody said out there, I'm not gonna say no names
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: or that, but somebody said that Steve Harvey starting a
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: new religion.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Called Chris slam. I've never said that. Why would I?
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: Who am I to start a religion?
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: I have a religion, I have a faith, I have
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: a God, I have a Jesus, I have a method
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: of prayer.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: I'm not changing that.
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: That's the way I was raised. But can I not
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: honor people for who they are? Because I have Muslim
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: friends that are doing very very well. They believe in God,
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: just like I believe in God.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Who am I?
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: And it works.
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: I got a partner on mine who prays five times
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: a day. The average Christian don't do that. He lives
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: a successful life. He's a great person, a great family man.
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: I just happen to honor faith. When you hear somebody
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: talking about Steve harved and starting new religion, you ain't
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: never heard me say nothing like that. And I dispel
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: all of that, And I stand on that. I stand
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: on my faith and who I am.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: I been.
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: I've been this way the whole time. You ain't never
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: heard me wave or jump off this hill boat.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: That's me. That's the God I serve, that's the faith
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: I have.
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: I don't know all the scriptures, but I know enough
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: that that got me here, and I know enough that's
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: gonna get me the rest of the way. Be careful
- 1:30:48Speaker 4: who you hear things from. Everybody standing up there talking
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: about it main foid. Just be careful, y'all. Know God
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: for yourself, have your faith together for yourself. Those are
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: my clothes lost. Hey, listen, talk to God today, y'all.
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: He loved to hear from you.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Okay. Hey.
