Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 2: You know the term silence is deafening. Of course, it
• 0:07
Speaker 2: really applies to the story. Director Ryan Coogler just shared
• 0:09
Speaker 2: on the Good Hang podcast about first pitching Sinners to
• 0:13
  Speaker 2: Michael B. Jordan's.
• 0:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, Ryan and Michael have actually worked together a ton,
• 0:16
Speaker 3: so Ryan knew early on that he wanted Michael to
• 0:19
Speaker 3: play both twins in the movie.
• 0:20
Speaker 2: And even though they've got that rapport, Sinners is a
• 0:23
Speaker 2: wildly ambitious, high concept. So when Ryan started explaining what
• 0:26
Speaker 2: the movie was to him out loud, he became very
• 0:29
  Speaker 2: self aware.
• 0:30
Speaker 4: Of that exactly. He was like, it's a vampire movie
• 0:33
Speaker 4: and a period piece in the Deep South, and you're
• 0:37
Speaker 4: playing twins. And when Ryan finished pitching, Michael said nothing.
• 0:42
Speaker 2: Can you imagine that silence and nerves? You start second
• 0:44
Speaker 2: guessing your vision too weird, too much. Then after a
• 0:47
Speaker 2: very long beat, Michael was like, sounds interesting, and of
• 0:51
Speaker 2: course was fully on board.
• 0:52
Speaker 3: Which makes the way totally worth it.
• 0:54
Speaker 2: Sinners is out on vod if you haven't seen it.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: That's direct from Hollywood.
