- 2:24Speaker 2: Right now, story number one.
- 2:26Speaker 3: For decades, the FBI has had a top ten most
- 2:30Speaker 3: wanted list. Well, now there's a new list. It's the
- 2:33Speaker 3: FBI's Top ten most Wanted Fraudsters List. And if you've
- 2:37Speaker 3: ever wondered where your tax dollurs go or why government
- 2:40Speaker 3: fraud seems to keep making headlines, well the FBI says
- 2:44Speaker 3: it's time to put some faces on the actual problem.
- 2:48Speaker 3: That's why the FBI Director Cashpattel un build a brand
- 2:52Speaker 3: new initiative, the FBI's Top ten Most Wanted Fraudster's List,
- 2:56Speaker 3: a public effort, he said, to track down some of
- 2:59Speaker 3: the most notorious financial criminals accused of stealing more than
- 3:03Speaker 3: a billion dollars from American taxpayers now. The announcement came
- 3:08Speaker 3: in Ohio alongside senior Justice Department officials as federal authorities
- 3:13Speaker 3: also revealed charges against defendant's accused of running a massive
- 3:18Speaker 3: medicaid fraud scheme involving children services. Yeah they're not just
- 3:22Speaker 3: stealing from us, but they're actually stealing money that's supposed
- 3:25Speaker 3: to be going to children now. According to federal prosecutors,
- 3:28Speaker 3: the scheme allegedly built taxpayers roughly thirty million for therapy
- 3:33Speaker 3: services that were medically unnecessary or never provided at all.
- 3:40Speaker 3: The Director of the FBI, Betel, made it clear that
- 3:43Speaker 3: this effort is about changing the way the FBI goes
- 3:46Speaker 3: after white collar criminals now. One of the strongest lines
- 3:50Speaker 3: from today's announcement was Patel warning that these suspects are
- 3:54Speaker 3: not harmless paper pushers. They stole more than one billion.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Patel said as he launched the new list, I want
- 4:02Speaker 3: you to hear exactly what the FBI director had to say.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Operation Playground Therapy is what the FBI is here to
- 4:08Speaker 1: talk about today, as the Attorney General highlighted, literally tens
- 4:13Speaker 1: of millions of dollars that was supposed to go to
- 4:15Speaker 1: kids was stolen allegedly by individuals who worked in government
- 4:21Speaker 1: and the private sector and thought they could fleece Americans
- 4:25Speaker 1: and our treasure, our children of the hard earned dollars,
- 4:28Speaker 1: the taxpayer dollars that we provide to support them in
- 4:30Speaker 1: their time of need. Well, they got caught. And not
- 4:33Speaker 1: only did they get caught, so many others got caught.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Just take a look at some of the vehicles that
- 4:37Speaker 1: are here as part of their ill gotten gains and proceeds.
- 4:40Speaker 1: They didn't just take the money, they paraded it around
- 4:43Speaker 1: the country. And thanks to this team here you are
- 4:45Speaker 1: seeing what hard work, dedication to the rule of law,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and true unified effort across all fronts when no one
- 4:52Speaker 1: wants the credit and everyone wants to just do the work.
- 4:55Speaker 1: These are the results that we're here to talk about today,
- 4:58Speaker 1: importantly for the FBI, and thanks to Vice President JD.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Vance's vision. He had an idea. He said, Hey, you
- 5:04Speaker 1: guys have a top ten most wanted list for all gangbangers, terrorists,
- 5:10Speaker 1: narco traffickers, murders and rapists around the world. How about
- 5:14Speaker 1: we have a top ten list for most wanted fraudsters. So,
- 5:16Speaker 1: mister Vice President, thanks to your vision, we're here to
- 5:19Speaker 1: deliver and you see it here today. It is live
- 5:21Speaker 1: officially on the FBI website. I want all Americans to
- 5:24Speaker 1: take a look at these most wanted individuals and look
- 5:27Speaker 1: at the amounts, the tens of millions and billions of
- 5:30Speaker 1: dollars in fraud that they have decimated our societies from.
- 5:34Speaker 1: We rely on you. Our best form of information is
- 5:37Speaker 1: the American public. Take a look at this top ten
- 5:40Speaker 1: most wanted. Let us know any information There is no
- 5:43Speaker 1: bad piece of information. The only bad piece of information
- 5:46Speaker 1: is the one you don't give us. So call one
- 5:49Speaker 1: eight hundred, call FBI, or go to FBI dot gov
- 5:51Speaker 1: and help us apprehend more fraudsters. The last thing I
- 5:55Speaker 1: want to talk about is the work of the FBI
- 5:58Speaker 1: and the interagency isn't just mestic. The fraudsters have created
- 6:02Speaker 1: programs overseas that have fleeced Americans of billions of dollars.
- 6:06Speaker 1: The FBI has led that charge against scam center compounds
- 6:09Speaker 1: stood up in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, freeing
- 6:12Speaker 1: thousands of traffic workers. Just in the last year, under
- 6:15Speaker 1: the Trump Advance Administration and the Fraud Initiative, we have
- 6:18Speaker 1: captured and freed eight billion dollars in fraud in scam
- 6:22Speaker 1: centers that were stood up by the CCP and other
- 6:24Speaker 1: adversaries in places like Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia and the
- 6:28Speaker 1: Middle East. And we're working with our inner agency and
- 6:31Speaker 1: partners across the world to bring hundreds of individuals to justice.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Just the other week in the Middle East, in Dubai,
- 6:36Speaker 1: we arrested three hundred individuals responsible for four billion dollars
- 6:40Speaker 1: in fraud. They prey on our senior citizens here from overseas,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and this administration has made it abundantly clear there is
- 6:47Speaker 1: no distance we won't travel to make sure we apprehend
- 6:50Speaker 1: each and every one of these individuals. The FBI is
- 6:53Speaker 1: leading the effort to scuttle these stam centers permanently, to
- 6:56Speaker 1: free the traffic workers, and most importantly, to also secure
- 7:00Speaker 1: taxpayer dollars and make sure that this eight billion in
- 7:03Speaker 1: counting in scam center fraud that the FBI is delivered
- 7:05Speaker 1: on so far only continues to grow, and we're going
- 7:08Speaker 1: to keep doing it. I just want to thank the
- 7:10Speaker 1: Attorney General, the interagency partnerships here, state and local. I've
- 7:14Speaker 1: set it over and over again. The FBI's best partners
- 7:16Speaker 1: are state and local law enforcement, and they're here today
- 7:19Speaker 1: and these are the results.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So the FBI, under President Trump and Caspertel's leadership, while
- 7:25Speaker 3: their message is simple, if America has a top ten
- 7:28Speaker 3: list for murderers or terrorists or cartel leaders and violent fugitives,
- 7:33Speaker 3: then the people accused of stealing massive amounts of money
- 7:36Speaker 3: from taxpayers, retirees, investors, and vulnerable Americans should face the
- 7:41Speaker 3: same level of scrutiny. Now, the new list includes alleged
- 7:45Speaker 3: frauds as connected to investment scams, wire fraud schemes, cryptocurrency
- 7:51Speaker 3: laundering operations, healthcare fraud, and other sophisticated financial crimes. Among
- 7:57Speaker 3: those featured are individual's accused of targeting the elderly Americans,
- 8:02Speaker 3: running international fraud operations, and helping move illicit funds around
- 8:07Speaker 3: the globe. Now, what's especially significant is also the timing.
- 8:12Speaker 3: The Trump administration has spent months emphasizing waste, fraud and
- 8:15Speaker 3: abuse across government programs. The creation of this new FBI
- 8:20Speaker 3: list fits directly into that broader effort, and President Trump
- 8:24Speaker 3: has repeatedly argued that fraud against taxpayers is not a
- 8:28Speaker 3: victimless crime and that Americans deserve accountability when billions of
- 8:32Speaker 3: dollars disappear through corruption, through scams and abuse of public programs. Now,
- 8:37Speaker 3: the White House did not announce the list itself today,
- 8:40Speaker 3: that move aligns closely with the administration's a larger focus,
- 8:44Speaker 3: they say on rooting out fraud and recovering taxpayer dollars
- 8:48Speaker 3: and letting the FBI do exactly what they need to do.
- 8:53Speaker 3: It also is putting the FBI front and center and
- 8:56Speaker 3: betting that the public attention will also work in helping
- 8:59Speaker 3: find these peace one the most Wanted list. The Bureau's
- 9:02Speaker 3: traditional Top ten Most Wanted Fugitive lists has been one
- 9:05Speaker 3: of the most successful law enforcement tools in American history.
- 9:09Speaker 3: The FBI reports of the vast majority of fugitives who
- 9:13Speaker 3: have appeared on its famous top ten lists have ultimately
- 9:16Speaker 3: been located or captured, often after tips from ordinary citizens.
- 9:21Speaker 3: And that's exactly why the FBI director is hoping it
- 9:24Speaker 3: will happen again on this new list. By putting these
- 9:27Speaker 3: alleged fraudsters front and center, investigators hope someone recognizes a face,
- 9:33Speaker 3: knows a location, or provides the critical tip needed to
- 9:37Speaker 3: make and arrest. And there's another reason for this matter
- 9:40Speaker 3: as well. For years, Americans have heard about fraud and
- 9:43Speaker 3: abstract terms billions here, millions there, and it doesn't even
- 9:47Speaker 3: seem anything real or like an actual number. But when
- 9:51Speaker 3: taxpayers see the actual individuals that are accused of orchestrating
- 9:55Speaker 3: these schemes, the scale of the problem becomes much much
- 9:58Speaker 3: more real and per ersal So, whether it's healthcare fraud
- 10:02Speaker 3: or investment scams targeting seniors, the cryptocurrency schemes, or international
- 10:08Speaker 3: wire fraud operations, the FBI is now signaling that in
- 10:12Speaker 3: twenty twenty six, financial criminals are now going to receive
- 10:15Speaker 3: the same public attention that has traditionally been reserved for
- 10:19Speaker 3: violent fugitives. As Director Ptel's team put it today, this
- 10:23Speaker 3: is about bringing accountability to people accused of stealing staggering
- 10:27Speaker 3: amounts of money from hardworking American citizens and funds that
- 10:31Speaker 3: were supposed to go and help the elderly and the poor,
- 10:35Speaker 3: as well as children. The bottom line, the FBI just
- 10:38Speaker 3: launched a brand new most wanted lists, not for the murderers,
- 10:42Speaker 3: not for cartel bosses, not for the terriffs, for fraudsters,
- 10:46Speaker 3: and if the FBI gets its way, some of the
- 10:48Speaker 3: people accused of stealing more than a billion dollars from
- 10:52Speaker 3: Americans may soon find themselves running out of places to hide.
