- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, So let's start with the big news, and
- 0:03Speaker 1: that is Matt Gates has withdrawn his name from consideration
- 0:07Speaker 1: for attorney general nomination. The former Representative Matt Gates, Republican
- 0:13Speaker 1: from Florida, formally withdrew his name for consideration for the
- 0:17Speaker 1: attorney general position and President, like Donald Trump's incoming administration,
- 0:22Speaker 1: there is no time to wait on a producted Washington scuffle.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Had excellent meetings with senators, he said yesterday. I appreciate
- 0:31Speaker 1: their thoughtful feedback and the incredible support of so many.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Gates went on to say his nomination and become quote
- 0:38Speaker 1: too much of a distraction, and therefore he is withdrawing
- 0:41Speaker 1: his name from consideration for the highly sought position, saying this,
- 0:46Speaker 1: while the momentum was strong, it is clear that my
- 0:48Speaker 1: confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work
- 0:51Speaker 1: of the Trump Vans administration.
- 0:53Speaker 2: There's no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffles.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I will draw my name from consideration to serve as
- 1:02Speaker 1: the attorney general, he announced. Trump Trump's doj must be
- 1:08Speaker 1: in a place and ready on must be in place
- 1:10Speaker 1: and ready on day one, he said, adding that he
- 1:12Speaker 1: remains fully committed to see that Donald Trump is the
- 1:15Speaker 1: most successful president in history, saying this, I will forever
- 1:18Speaker 1: be honored the President Trump nominated me to lead the
- 1:21Speaker 1: Department of Justice, and I'm certain he will save America.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Now let's talk about the politics behind this, and there's
- 1:28Speaker 1: several different theories. I'm going to give you the one
- 1:30Speaker 1: that I think is the most accurate. All Right, Matt
- 1:33Speaker 1: Gates knew that the ethics report on him was coming out,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and the ethics investigation in the House was going to
- 1:45Speaker 1: be brutal. It was going to be really really bad,
- 1:49Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It was just going to be tough.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And I think what actually happened here is Gates went
- 1:56Speaker 1: to President Trump and said, hey, I need your help.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Can you name me to something so I can resign
- 2:03Speaker 1: before this report comes out? Because if I resigned from Congress,
- 2:08Speaker 1: then the report should not come out. So my gut
- 2:11Speaker 1: is is that Trump said, hey, I got you here.
- 2:13Speaker 1: You've been a good soldier. I'm going to do you
- 2:16Speaker 1: a solid here. I'm going to announce you. It'll it'll
- 2:19Speaker 1: make the left just go insane. It also politically could
- 2:23Speaker 1: have not been a bad move from a strategy position.
- 2:26Speaker 1: All the attention went on Gates, and the attention that
- 2:29Speaker 1: was going on Pete Headseth and others that they were
- 2:31Speaker 1: wanting to attack disappeared. And so I think that may
- 2:38Speaker 1: have been a political reason why Donald Trump did this
- 2:40Speaker 1: as well. So he went and had his meetings on
- 2:44Speaker 1: Capitol Hill. He went and had his meetings with some sinners.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I know they said, Look, it was very cordial. They
- 2:49Speaker 1: were pretty honest with them, like, hey, dude, this is
- 2:51Speaker 1: going to be an uphill battle. And jd Vance was
- 2:54Speaker 1: there with him. Jd Vance not only was jd Vance
- 3:03Speaker 1: with him kind of to lead him through babysit, but
- 3:06Speaker 1: I also think to read the room, and he probably
- 3:08Speaker 1: went back to President Trump and said, hey, it's time
- 3:11Speaker 1: to pull this.
- 3:12Speaker 2: There's no way in hell this is gonna happen.
- 3:15Speaker 1: There is no way he's going to get confirmed, there
- 3:18Speaker 1: is no way that this is possibly going to take place,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and so it's time for us just to kind of say, okay,
- 3:25Speaker 1: let's move on.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And that's exactly what they did.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I also think it was clear that this was something
- 3:32Speaker 1: that may have been pre planned because they knew and
- 3:34Speaker 1: they had instantly ready to go. Pambondy, who is actually
- 3:42Speaker 1: I think a great pick the AG down in Florida.
- 3:45Speaker 1: This is someone that knows Trump well. She has supported
- 3:48Speaker 1: President Trump, she was an advocate for him, campaigned for him,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and Pambondy is someone that I have no doubt will
- 3:54Speaker 1: get confirmed. She also has led an entire state that,
- 3:58Speaker 1: by the way, took of the federal government.
- 4:01Speaker 2: If you look at what Pambondy.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Did, much like the AG did in Texas, they were
- 4:06Speaker 1: defending the rights of the of people in their states
- 4:10Speaker 1: and they were taking on and suing the federal government.
- 4:13Speaker 1: They were literally suing the Biden administration. Pam Bondy had
- 4:18Speaker 1: no problem doing that. I think it's important that your
- 4:21Speaker 1: age actually runs a group of lawyers, understands bureaucracy, understands
- 4:26Speaker 1: how Washington works, understands how government works. From that perspective
- 4:31Speaker 1: that something that by the way, Matt Gates did not have.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Running a congressional office is.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Very different, okay, is extremely different than running a bureaucracy
- 4:43Speaker 1: of in a in a large group of lawyers that
- 4:47Speaker 1: are fighting or advocating for the state. I think Pam
- 4:50Speaker 1: will do an excellent job. I think that Pambondy is
- 4:55Speaker 1: going to be somebody that that the senators who met
- 4:58Speaker 1: with Matt Gates are going to walk in going this
- 5:02Speaker 1: is a breath of fresh air. So I think there
- 5:05Speaker 1: was a lot of this that were a lot of
- 5:07Speaker 1: this that was political theater.
- 5:09Speaker 2: As they call it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And I do think having all the attention on Matt
- 5:14Speaker 1: Gates probably helped some of these other nominees like headset
- 5:17Speaker 1: than others, Like I really do. I think there's a
- 5:19Speaker 1: very good chance that this was a very smart and
- 5:25Speaker 1: deliberate move, that was a move that made an awful
- 5:30Speaker 1: lot of sense. And now we move on. Now you
- 5:35Speaker 1: look at Bondi and I think she's going to be
- 5:38Speaker 1: an individual that is going to be able to come
- 5:42Speaker 1: in there and understand what she's up against because she
- 5:46Speaker 1: has literally fought in a very very significant way the
- 5:52Speaker 1: deep state and will understand what she's walking into as
- 5:58Speaker 1: the attorney general under the I mean she was down
- 6:01Speaker 1: there when the raids were happening on mar Lago to
- 6:03Speaker 1: put it in perspective here, and so the media, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: Al Sharpton this morning said body is on the right,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but she is one who has qualified to become the
- 6:15Speaker 1: attorney general. So if you're getting that statement from the
- 6:20Speaker 1: radical left, I think it's very clear they're like, this
- 6:24Speaker 1: is a woman who's a professional, who doesn't have baggage,
- 6:28Speaker 1: who's a qualified lawyer.
- 6:30Speaker 2: What would we say about her to disqualify her.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Take a listen to this, and again this is Al
- 6:35Speaker 1: Sharpton saying this on MSNBC Rev.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Let's look at the headline. Obviously, yesterday, you know, we
- 6:42Speaker 3: had been saying on this show that it's like the
- 6:45Speaker 3: old Midas commercials about when the ethics report and all
- 6:49Speaker 3: the bad information came out on that gads, you need
- 6:52Speaker 3: to pay us now or you can pay us later.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And the later it is, the closer it is to
- 6:59Speaker 3: you know, more than it's actually in the middle of
- 7:04Speaker 3: the new presidency. And I think that's the last thing
- 7:08Speaker 3: they Obviously they didn't want to see the scandal in
- 7:12Speaker 3: the Senate probably in January and February.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Absolutely, I think it was the wise thing for the
- 7:19Speaker 4: Trump people and for President and ELEC. Trump to withdraw
- 7:23Speaker 4: him now because a long term spectacle of days and
- 7:28Speaker 4: weeks would only damage them even more. Take your losses shot.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Let him walk away because he was never qualified and
- 7:36Speaker 4: he could not give any reasonable argument as why he'd
- 7:40Speaker 4: be Attorney general. I talked to people that I know
- 7:42Speaker 4: in Florida last night that on the civil rights side,
- 7:45Speaker 4: we have a chapter in now she actually network there.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Bondy is certainly on the right, but she is one
- 7:50Speaker 4: who's qualified to become attorney general in terms of she's
- 7:54Speaker 4: handled cases, she's managed officers, and yes, we can raise
- 7:58Speaker 4: questions about what she did Trump University, but there's no
- 8:02Speaker 4: glaring things in terms of her values and models.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You're talking about.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Gates with underage sex. You're talking about Ronnie of that
- 8:10Speaker 4: has been documented, that was sent around, and to put
- 8:13Speaker 4: him in charge of the Justice Department made a mockery
- 8:17Speaker 4: of the system. So I think it was better for Trump,
- 8:20Speaker 4: not that I'm a Trump person at all, but it
- 8:23Speaker 4: was better for him and certainly better for the American
- 8:25Speaker 4: public to get Gates off the scene.
- 8:28Speaker 2: None.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I mean, when you're hearing Matt from Al Sharpton, Bonnie
- 8:31Speaker 1: is on the right, but she is one who is
- 8:34Speaker 1: qualified to become attorney general. There's no clearing things in
- 8:38Speaker 1: terms of her values and morals. That tells you how
- 8:42Speaker 1: solid of a pick that this is when you look
- 8:47Speaker 1: at Pam Bondi and who she is. Scott Jennings on CNN,
- 8:51Speaker 1: making the case for Bondi, saying as Trump names Pambondi
- 8:55Speaker 1: is the new a g pick after Matt Gates withdraws.
- 8:58Speaker 1: The best part about this is is look, you get
- 9:00Speaker 1: to basically say we're done, we're done with the Gates thing.
- 9:05Speaker 1: We're moving on quickly to Bondy. Within hours, he is
- 9:08Speaker 1: named Pam Bondy. And Scott Jennings put it this way.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Creation there is something that's very allied to Trump. I mean,
- 9:16Speaker 5: she's had a very long relationship with him. You just
- 9:18Speaker 5: mentioned I'm a Fluoridian, and you know you mentioned that
- 9:22Speaker 5: those that relationship with Donald Trump. I mean I was
- 9:24Speaker 5: back I think in twenty thirteen that he gave money
- 9:27Speaker 5: to her campaign and then you know, apparently there was
- 9:32Speaker 5: some questions around actions that she took around Trump University,
- 9:36Speaker 5: and so you know, there's a long, long, long history
- 9:39Speaker 5: there between the two of them, Scott.
- 9:41Speaker 6: A long history. She does have obviously real legal experience,
- 9:43Speaker 6: which is in contrast to Matt Gates. No allegations of
- 9:47Speaker 6: mass sex scandals with anyone under age drug scandals. I mean,
- 9:52Speaker 6: you know, just to just put it out there, here's
- 9:55Speaker 6: we'll see what we see here. But is this just
- 9:58Speaker 6: a confirmation that would assent sail through scott or not.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Well, I don't think you could consider anybody, you know,
- 10:05Speaker 7: just they're going to sail without any kind of real process.
- 10:08Speaker 7: She's gonna have to go through a process like everybody else.
- 10:10Speaker 7: But I can tell you this is a massive upgrade.
- 10:12Speaker 7: I've talked to a couple people up on the hill already.
- 10:15Speaker 7: There's a sigh of relief that now we have somebody here,
- 10:18Speaker 7: two term ag strong record on drug enforcement and opioid issues,
- 10:22Speaker 7: a total hawk on immigration, politically supportive of Trump. Obviously.
- 10:26Speaker 7: I don't know Republican in the country who doesn't love
- 10:29Speaker 7: Pam Bondy. So you were starting with Gates, a nominee
- 10:32Speaker 7: who was underwater significantly to start and what was gonna
- 10:34Speaker 7: always be hard to get to the surface With Bondy,
- 10:37Speaker 7: I do think you're starting above water. And as long
- 10:39Speaker 7: as she performs in her hearings. And look, this is
- 10:41Speaker 7: somebody who's been through two elections in a really big state,
- 10:44Speaker 7: and so a lot of public vetting of her has
- 10:46Speaker 7: gone on already. So I think this is a great
- 10:49Speaker 7: move by Trump to be pragmatic and Tailgates to get out,
- 10:52Speaker 7: and a really good move to go with BONDI this
- 10:54Speaker 7: is not a shaky lamb, this is a sturdy branch.
- 10:56Speaker 2: He's gone with for Age. Would you agree with that,
- 10:58Speaker 2: David Well, I'd agree with half of it. I think
- 11:00Speaker 2: was I love how they go to Axelrod right away.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Right, that's Obama's guy, Like well, remember, I mean Eric
- 11:07Speaker 1: Holder was his guy, and Eric Holder was a guy
- 11:10Speaker 1: that did the most insane deal ever selling guns to
- 11:14Speaker 1: the cartels that then were used to kill Americans.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Never forget that. It's a guy that.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And Eric Holder that that was held in contempted Congress
- 11:23Speaker 1: that should have been arrested and gone to jail. But
- 11:25Speaker 1: of course there's a double standard there at the AG,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and that never happened either. So when when you look
- 11:31Speaker 1: at this and you hear the talking points that have
- 11:37Speaker 1: been made, I gotta say, I think Pambondy is going
- 11:42Speaker 1: to be able to get through now. Look, guests are
- 11:45Speaker 1: melting down over Pambondy on the left, the radical left,
- 11:49Speaker 1: like they'll go crazy because they don't like her because
- 11:51Speaker 1: she's a Republican and and those crazies are out there,
- 11:54Speaker 1: but they don't have evidence behind them to back up
- 11:58Speaker 1: their insanity like they did with Matt Gates. I'll give
- 12:01Speaker 1: you a great example. There's a guy that's a commentator
- 12:04Speaker 1: on MSNBC. He had a total meltdown over Trump picking Pambondy.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And the thing that you should listen to here is, look,
- 12:11Speaker 1: is this guy gonna melt down on everybody he could
- 12:14Speaker 1: have picked on the list if it was a list
- 12:15Speaker 1: of one hundred people. The answer is yes, because the
- 12:17Speaker 1: partisan hack And that's what he does. Right, Like, there's
- 12:21Speaker 1: a lot of people on TV no matter who they
- 12:23Speaker 1: put out there, no matter how perfect that you could say,
- 12:26Speaker 1: all right, here's the pope for the ag and they
- 12:28Speaker 1: would they would lose.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Their mind on the pope.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That's that's part of the democratic you know orbit that
- 12:35Speaker 1: they live in, which is anything that Trump does Orange
- 12:38Speaker 1: Man bad there for that person is bad.
- 12:40Speaker 8: Listen, cam Bondi is exactly what I was saying in
- 12:43Speaker 8: the last segment that we should all fear because she's competent.
- 12:47Speaker 8: We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually
- 12:50Speaker 8: knows how to do this job. So if anyone on
- 12:52Speaker 8: the Democratic side, or anyone who cared about liberty or
- 12:55Speaker 8: justice was thinking, well, maybe Matt Gates will screw this up,
- 12:57Speaker 8: and that'll give us some time. No, Pambondy knows what
- 13:00Speaker 8: she's doing. She knows what she's doing about immigration. Remember,
- 13:02Speaker 8: Florida is one of those states that's been very aggressive
- 13:05Speaker 8: about migrants and deportation and moving people to different states
- 13:07Speaker 8: and everything else like that. Florida has enacted all sorts
- 13:10Speaker 8: of rules and laws to curtail students and what they
- 13:13Speaker 8: can do on campuses and finding legal justifications for manipulating
- 13:17Speaker 8: education money. She is a dangerous and effective pick, and
- 13:21Speaker 8: that's frankly worse than what we would have got with
- 13:24Speaker 8: Matt Gates, even with the deporable moral background that he has.
- 13:27Speaker 9: Yeah, and I want to discuss that with a little
- 13:29Speaker 9: more depth with both of you, including her record on
- 13:32Speaker 9: civil rights, LGBTQ rights, and other issues that are front
- 13:36Speaker 9: and center at the DOJ and which we know we're
- 13:38Speaker 9: also big campaign issues.
- 13:39Speaker 1: By the way, I love how they go into LGBTQ
- 13:42Speaker 1: like that's the only issue that the Attorney General deals with.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You know that the Attorney General deals with terrorism and
- 13:47Speaker 1: going after actual terrorists.
- 13:50Speaker 2: They go after sex traffickers and.
- 13:53Speaker 10: Take back to these radical issues or the left, the LGBTQI,
- 13:59Speaker 10: transgender everything about them is ideology it's not about safety,
- 14:04Speaker 10: it's not about national security.
- 14:05Speaker 2: It's not about terrorism, it's not about domestic terrorism.
- 14:08Speaker 1: It's not about drugs, it's not about the people dying
- 14:10Speaker 1: from fetnyl overdose.
- 14:11Speaker 2: None of that seems to matter to them.
- 14:14Speaker 1: All they care about is, well, this is someone that
- 14:17Speaker 1: Donald Trump picked, and we hate Donald Trump. MSNBC had
- 14:22Speaker 1: another breaking news segment on Morning Joe, Where's headline? Trump
- 14:26Speaker 1: nominates Pam Bondi for Attorney General, and one of their
- 14:30Speaker 1: reporters put it this way.
- 14:32Speaker 11: Well, one reaction I got from inside the Justice Department
- 14:34Speaker 11: last night was this is Matt Gates with a better
- 14:37Speaker 11: legal resume. But the legal resume is significant, Willie and guys,
- 14:41Speaker 11: because Pam Bondi was a career prosecutor down there in
- 14:45Speaker 11: Hillsborough County for many, many years before she was elected
- 14:49Speaker 11: Florida's first female Attorney general. So she's prosecuted major cases, murders,
- 14:54Speaker 11: death penalty cases. She understands how that works. Matt Gates
- 14:58Speaker 11: had never really been much of a lawyer before he
- 15:00Speaker 11: was elected to the Florida legislature, so that's a big difference.
- 15:04Speaker 11: And you know she at the same time, though she
- 15:07Speaker 11: is you know an extreme MAGA activist and has tainted
- 15:12Speaker 11: her legal career with.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I love that she's an extreme MAGA activist. And then
- 15:19Speaker 1: does she's tainted her legal career with what show me rulings?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Show me rulings where she was a a politician instead
- 15:27Speaker 1: of following the law, because they don't have that. So
- 15:32Speaker 1: they're going to name call so the honeymoon and I
- 15:35Speaker 1: play this because it's almost like in real time you
- 15:37Speaker 1: can hear it. Okay, Alice Sharpan comes out and says, hey,
- 15:39Speaker 1: she's a legitimate candidate for this position. She's got a
- 15:42Speaker 1: legitimate resume, she's solid as a rock. And then msbc's like,
- 15:46Speaker 1: but wait, Orangeman bad, orange man bad. So I've got
- 15:51Speaker 1: to tell you that she's a radical, that she's an extremist,
- 15:54Speaker 1: that she is a a MAGA fundamentalist. I don't even
- 15:59Speaker 1: know what that means. Means, was Eric Holder not a
- 16:02Speaker 1: Obama fundamentalist? When went with the age, it's.
- 16:07Speaker 2: A fair question to ask, right, like I would hope
- 16:10Speaker 2: that you are a I laughed.
- 16:14Speaker 1: The word fundamentalist is maybe a better way of putting it.
- 16:17Speaker 1: It's it's like they want you to find a robot
- 16:20Speaker 1: who happens to be a lawyer that's not has a
- 16:23Speaker 1: political mind at all, and that's who they would say,
- 16:28Speaker 1: is okay, that doesn't exist. So then the second question
- 16:31Speaker 1: to the left in the media here is okay, well,
- 16:33Speaker 1: then who would you approve up, Well, clearly they would
- 16:34Speaker 1: approve of you putting a radical leftist at the AG's office.
- 16:39Speaker 1: You know when he says, I talked to people with
- 16:40Speaker 1: the Department of Justice, this reporter and he's and they say, well,
- 16:45Speaker 1: she's a she's basically a radical with a better resume.
- 16:49Speaker 2: She's Matt Gates.
- 16:50Speaker 1: The better resume that is the that that is the
- 16:52Speaker 1: most absurd statement that I've seen so far, as this
- 16:56Speaker 1: is unfolding in front of us in real time. Their
- 16:59Speaker 1: resume are not even close. And then he even contradicts himself.
- 17:02Speaker 1: He says, well, Matt Gates wasn't a real lawyer barely
- 17:05Speaker 1: at all before he went to college with no real prosecution.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Like he contradicts his own words that he just said
- 17:13Speaker 1: on MSNBC. Pambondi has been elected not once but twice,
- 17:17Speaker 1: so heavy vetting and a large state that's accurate. Pambondy
- 17:21Speaker 1: is someone that has gone after cartels and gone after
- 17:24Speaker 1: drug cases and death penalty cases and heinus crimes that
- 17:27Speaker 1: have been committed by illegal immigrants, for example, she understands
- 17:32Speaker 1: how to prosecute the big cases. She is a prosecutor
- 17:36Speaker 1: who then earned the job and was re elected by
- 17:39Speaker 1: the people in Florida. That resume is completely different than
- 17:44Speaker 1: Matt Gates barely a lawyer, got went to a hard core,
- 17:47Speaker 1: concerted district and was able to get elected, and then
- 17:50Speaker 1: abused his fame or whatever you want to call it,
- 17:54Speaker 1: for his own personal reasons. They are two very different
- 17:57Speaker 1: people on paper, Like not even close what you would
- 18:01Speaker 1: what it would cost you if you could buy a
- 18:03Speaker 1: resume for Pambondi's resume would be millions and millions and.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Millions of dollars if you were buying it like a stock.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Matt Gates stock would be a His resume would be
- 18:11Speaker 1: a penny stock that's filing for bankruptcy that's been delisted. Okay,
- 18:16Speaker 1: Like to say that they're somehow one the same is
- 18:19Speaker 1: a lie. I'm going to just back up this MSNBC
- 18:22Speaker 1: audio again just so you can hear the reaction that
- 18:25Speaker 1: she is from MSNBC, where they're like, well, I talk
- 18:29Speaker 1: to people at the Department of Justice, and they said
- 18:32Speaker 1: that Pambondi is Matt Gates are a better resume. Like
- 18:36Speaker 1: this is when you know they just lie to you,
- 18:38Speaker 1: like all the time, no matter what.
- 18:40Speaker 2: It's just straight up lies.
- 18:42Speaker 11: Prosecuted major cases, murders, death, penalty cases. She understands how
- 18:47Speaker 11: that works. Matt Gates had never really been much of
- 18:50Speaker 11: a lawyer before he was elected to the Florida Legislature,
- 18:53Speaker 11: so that's a big difference. And you know she at
- 18:57Speaker 11: the same time, though, she is you know, an extreme
- 19:00Speaker 11: maga activist and has tainted her legal career with very
- 19:05Speaker 11: strong stands in favor of some questionable things.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Uh. There was a.
- 19:09Speaker 11: Famous incident, uh back in around ten years ago when.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I love how he's like, you know, say he's wondering.
- 19:15Speaker 1: He's like, uh, she's she's she's uh tainted her her career.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Uh in a in a in a really read a
- 19:23Speaker 2: way a decade ten years ago.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Dude, Like I understand that you don't like her, but
- 19:28Speaker 1: like you want to talk about just making you know
- 19:31Speaker 1: what up? This is making you know what up? Like
- 19:36Speaker 1: this is it? Like you can't go from She's done
- 19:41Speaker 1: all of these things and has a solid record too,
- 19:44Speaker 1: she's exactly like Matt Gates with a better resume when
- 19:47Speaker 1: they're not even close to the same.
- 19:49Speaker 2: To them saying, well, she's tainted her legal career.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Uh and and as he I'm quoting and uh uh
- 19:57Speaker 1: with you know, uh an extreme maga activist, that is,
- 20:00Speaker 1: she tended her legal career with a very strong stands
- 20:03Speaker 1: in favor of some questionable things.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And it's like, okay, well what are the questionable things?
- 20:08Speaker 1: Well, yeah, well, ten years ago, ten years ago, a
- 20:13Speaker 1: decade ago, let's listen, what is his example.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I cannot wait for you to tell me.
- 20:18Speaker 11: Remember Trump University, that for profit university that Donald Trump ran,
- 20:23Speaker 11: was getting a lot of consumer complaints about being a scam,
- 20:26Speaker 11: and her office was asked to join a multi state
- 20:29Speaker 11: lawsuit and Donald Trump's foundation contributed twenty five thousand dollars
- 20:35Speaker 11: to her campaign and she opted not to join that lawsuit,
- 20:38Speaker 11: and his foundation was later fine for making it a
- 20:40Speaker 11: legal contribution. So look, she served her tenured eight years
- 20:45Speaker 11: as Florida attorney.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Jail hold on, So let me get this drink. You
- 20:48Speaker 1: had a bunch of states. They claim it wasn't actually
- 20:52Speaker 1: a bunch, It was a few that went after Trump
- 20:55Speaker 1: University Online. She looked at the case and decided, based
- 21:01Speaker 1: on a lot of legal reasons, that she wasn't going
- 21:04Speaker 1: to join in, just like a ton of other states
- 21:06Speaker 1: did in the US.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Okay, she didn't join in.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Was that because Donald Trump gave her a donation at
- 21:13Speaker 1: one point?
- 21:15Speaker 2: I don't know. I doubt it. I think she probably.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Looked at the case and was like, this is a
- 21:20Speaker 1: case that I don't need to waste the taxpayer's time
- 21:22Speaker 1: or money on in Florida. Maybe she looked at how
- 21:24Speaker 1: many people in Florida had gone to Trump University or
- 21:28Speaker 1: had and said, this is extremely few people. Based on
- 21:32Speaker 1: what I need to be working on, Maybe it's more
- 21:33Speaker 1: important for me to go after murderers and rapists and
- 21:36Speaker 1: terrorists and not put lawyers on a case that is
- 21:41Speaker 1: more of an outlier case where they're actually in Florida specifically.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Aren't that many people that were affected by Trump Online University.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Maybe it could.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Have been that the same reason, by the way, why
- 21:56Speaker 1: some liberal states with liberal ags did not join in
- 22:00Speaker 1: that class action lawsuit or the lawsuit against Trump University
- 22:03Speaker 1: because they said, this is a waste of time. This
- 22:05Speaker 1: is not an issue that the majority of the people
- 22:08Speaker 1: are affected by in our state. There were liberal states
- 22:10Speaker 1: that did the same thing that Pam Bondi did. So
- 22:13Speaker 1: if this is all they have unquote on her, then
- 22:17Speaker 1: I think she will sail through and keep listening to
- 22:19Speaker 1: this reporter from NBC News the Department of Justice, like
- 22:22Speaker 1: that's the whole selling point to the American people. Well,
- 22:24Speaker 1: there was this one case that we think she might
- 22:26Speaker 1: have should have been involved in that she wasn't.
- 22:29Speaker 2: That's it from a decade ago.
- 22:32Speaker 11: She later went on to be one of Donald Trump's
- 22:35Speaker 11: impeachment defense lawyers in the Ukraine impeachment in twenty twenty,
- 22:38Speaker 11: made a speech on the House floor during the trial
- 22:42Speaker 11: arguing that there was a Biden corruption scandal in Ukraine
- 22:46Speaker 11: and that that's why that phone call was okay. And
- 22:49Speaker 11: she's also raised questions about fraud in the twenty twenty election,
- 22:54Speaker 11: which people think were baseless. So it's a bit of
- 22:58Speaker 11: a mixed bag, But people are breathing a little bit
- 23:00Speaker 11: of a sigh of relief for the Justice Department that
- 23:02Speaker 11: at least she's a real lawyer, and that her deputy,
- 23:05Speaker 11: Todd Blanche, donald Trump's defense attorney, does have a lot
- 23:09Speaker 11: of experience in the Justice Department and is also well
- 23:11Speaker 11: regarded over there, so net people are thinking this is
- 23:15Speaker 11: a much better situation than Matt Gates. But she is
- 23:17Speaker 11: certainly a Donald Trump loyalist who has also raised questions
- 23:21Speaker 11: about weaponization at the Justice Department and may really cause
- 23:25Speaker 11: some trouble over there from the perspective of some of
- 23:27Speaker 11: the career folks.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Guys, this is I mean, you hear this and it's
- 23:32Speaker 1: just hysterical. Is It is truly amazing. I want to
- 23:36Speaker 1: give you another breaking news issue that I talked about
- 23:39Speaker 1: yesterday and it deals with the ICC putting out this
- 23:44Speaker 1: arrest warrant for Benjamin Nett and Yahoo. There is a
- 23:47Speaker 1: report coming out now and this is obviously a big deal.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Donald Trump team is already preparing steps to challenge the ICC,
- 23:55Speaker 1: saying that actions have consequences. President like Donald Trump's team
- 23:59Speaker 1: is acting on the ethos and preparing to challenge the
- 24:02Speaker 1: International Criminal Court in the Hague with sanctions after it
- 24:07Speaker 1: initiated arrest warrants against the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and
- 24:10Speaker 1: the former Defense Minister from Israel as well named Gallant.
- 24:15Speaker 1: The ICC moved against the Israeli leaders on Thursday, fort
- 24:18Speaker 1: supposed war crimes committed in Gaza by Israel as it
- 24:23Speaker 1: retaliated against the Hamas Terras over their deadly raid last year.
- 24:29Speaker 1: The move came after President Joe Biden back in May
- 24:32Speaker 1: revoked Trump's original executive order against the ICC. ICC prosecutor,
- 24:40Speaker 1: who faced Carmen Kahan, who faces sexual misconduct allegations, initiated
- 24:45Speaker 1: the application for the warrants, along with applications for warrants
- 24:50Speaker 1: against the Palestinian Terras, all of whom have since been
- 24:54Speaker 1: killed by the Israeli defense forces. Hebrew media outlet reported
- 25:00Speaker 1: Friday morning, as cited by seven Israeli national news, Trump
- 25:04Speaker 1: is already moving even though his inauguration is still some
- 25:07Speaker 1: two months off. Sources in Washington told the news sources
- 25:12Speaker 1: the possibility of imposing personal sanctions not only on the
- 25:18Speaker 1: prosecutor or the court, but also on the judges themselves
- 25:22Speaker 1: who issued.
- 25:22Speaker 2: The order against net and Yahoo.
- 25:25Speaker 1: In addition, there are those who argue the sanctions should
- 25:30Speaker 1: also be extended to the family members of those elements
- 25:34Speaker 1: in the courts responsible for the arrest warrants. As previously
- 25:38Speaker 1: reported by Breitbart News, the ICC moves against Israeli leaders,
- 25:43Speaker 1: equating them with Hamas Terras. This comes in the wake
- 25:47Speaker 1: of Biden's reversal of sanctions against the ICC for such
- 25:51Speaker 1: investigations and offered only meek public opposition to the ICC
- 25:56Speaker 1: chief Khan, who is corrupt as hell. Administration was even
- 26:02Speaker 1: suspected by Israelis of using the looming ICC warrants as
- 26:06Speaker 1: a way of persuading Israel to comply with US policies,
- 26:10Speaker 1: such as not pursuing Hamas Terras in the town of Rafa.
- 26:15Speaker 1: In June of twenty twenty, Trump issued Executive.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Order thirteen nine twenty eight. What did it do?
- 26:22Speaker 1: It slapped sanctions on ICC officials who attempted to investigate
- 26:26Speaker 1: US soldiers and soldiers of Allied countries for military actions,
- 26:32Speaker 1: specifically against terrorists. Biden revoked Trump's order shortly after taking office,
- 26:40Speaker 1: meaning that American soldiers could then be prosecuted by the ICC,
- 26:46Speaker 1: which is totally insane. Biden and the Democrats, proclaiming America's back,
- 26:53Speaker 1: sought to cultivate international goodwill by giving the ICC credibility.
- 26:58Speaker 2: And also extreme power.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Well, elections have consequences now, and what we're being told
- 27:04Speaker 1: is that Donald Trump has already said go get it
- 27:07Speaker 1: done now. The mental health crisis in this country is
- 27:11Speaker 1: continuing to explode since Donald Trump got elected. Fifteen of
- 27:15Speaker 1: the biggest leftists are out there going unhinged. Some of
- 27:20Speaker 1: them threat is saying we need Threats of violence and
- 27:23Speaker 1: even alleged murder is what is still happening on social
- 27:28Speaker 1: media and some of that derangement syndrome got into the
- 27:33Speaker 1: elections In Pennsylvania. A election denier, after trying to steal
- 27:38Speaker 1: an election with counting ballots that were illegal, has been
- 27:43Speaker 1: forced to concede that election to the Republican Dave McCormick.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Senator Bob Casey is a current Senator from Pennsylvania, finally
- 27:55Speaker 1: conceded the race to the Republican Dave McCormick after two
- 27:59Speaker 1: weeks of contesting the election results. Casey trying to steal
- 28:04Speaker 1: that election and was well busted for doing so and
- 28:08Speaker 1: the court said you.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Can't do this.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Announce his concession in a video release to social media
- 28:14Speaker 1: Thursday evening.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I just called Dave McCormick.
- 28:17Speaker 1: To congratulate him on his election to represent Pennsylvania in
- 28:20Speaker 1: the United States Senate.
- 28:21Speaker 2: He said in the video.
- 28:23Speaker 1: As the first count of ballots is completed, Pennsylvanians can
- 28:27Speaker 1: move forward with the knowledge that their voices were heard,
- 28:30Speaker 1: whether their vote was the first to be counted or
- 28:33Speaker 1: the last. Trying to take the moral high ground here,
- 28:37Speaker 1: here's more of what he had to say.
- 28:40Speaker 12: Well Dave McCormick to congratulate him on his election to
- 28:43Speaker 12: represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate. As the first
- 28:47Speaker 12: count of ballots is completed, Pennsylvanians can move forward with
- 28:51Speaker 12: the knowledge that their voices were heard, whether their vote
- 28:54Speaker 12: was the first to be counted or the last. This
- 28:57Speaker 12: race was one of the closest in our commonwealth, says
- 29:00Speaker 12: my history, decided by less than a quarter of a point.
- 29:03Speaker 12: I'm grateful to the thousands of people who work to
- 29:06Speaker 12: make sure that every eligible vote cast could be counted,
- 29:10Speaker 12: including election officials in all sixty seven counties. When a
- 29:15Speaker 12: Pennsylvanian takes the time to cast a legal vote, often
- 29:18Speaker 12: waiting in long lines and taking time away from their
- 29:21Speaker 12: work and family, they deserve to know that their vote
- 29:25Speaker 12: will count. That's democracy. I'm proud of the work we've
- 29:30Speaker 12: done since election day to enfranchise voters across the state,
- 29:35Speaker 12: matter whom they voted for, and to ensure that the
- 29:38Speaker 12: democratic process could unfold In just a few days, we
- 29:42Speaker 12: build an organization of three hundred and fifty staff across
- 29:46Speaker 12: the state, joined by more than a thousand volunteers who
- 29:50Speaker 12: help more than six thousand Pennsylvania voters make a plan
- 29:55Speaker 12: to fix small issues with their ballot so their vote
- 29:58Speaker 12: would be counted. From the one hundred year old woman
- 30:02Speaker 12: in Butler County who voted in every election since she
- 30:05Speaker 12: was eligible, to the nineteen year old in Montgomery County
- 30:09Speaker 12: who cast her bow for the very first time, we
- 30:12Speaker 12: made sure those voices were heard, and we stood up
- 30:16Speaker 12: against efforts to silence and disenfranchise voters in every corner
- 30:21Speaker 12: of the commonwealth. Thanks to our work in the courts,
- 30:24Speaker 12: nearly one thousand eligible voters in Philadelphia will have their
- 30:28Speaker 12: votes counted despite efforts to throw them out. This work mattered,
- 30:34Speaker 12: and I'm grateful to the many people who helped with
- 30:37Speaker 12: this effort. As you know, no public official serves alone,
- 30:43Speaker 12: and I've been blessed by the love and support of
- 30:46Speaker 12: my wife, Teres and our daughters Elise, Caroline, Julia, and Marina.
- 30:52Speaker 1: He goes on to talk about the personal things, and
- 30:54Speaker 1: I wanted you at least to be able to hear
- 30:56Speaker 1: him say his kids' names there. What was hilarious about
- 30:59Speaker 1: this and nonouncement is he had I'm pretty sure on
- 31:02Speaker 1: his desk standing up a constitution and I'm laughing because
- 31:09Speaker 1: Casey was clearly trying to go against the will of
- 31:12Speaker 1: the people and counting ballots that were illegal ballots. They
- 31:18Speaker 1: were not postmarked the way you're supposed to, and these
- 31:22Speaker 1: liberals were trying to count them because they thought they
- 31:24Speaker 1: could steal an election. And Dave McCormick accepted Casey's concession
- 31:30Speaker 1: and thanked him for his term of service, saying, Senator
- 31:33Speaker 1: Bob Casey Dedicade's career to bettering our commonwealth.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Dean and I want took center.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Sincere gratitude Senator Casey, Theresa and their family for their
- 31:41Speaker 1: decades of service, hard work, and personal sacrifice. I'm so
- 31:44Speaker 1: honored to represent every single citizen in Pennsylvania in the
- 31:47Speaker 1: United States Senate and will fight for you every day.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Thank you, he said in his social media post there.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Casey's concession comes just a little over two weeks after
- 32:01Speaker 1: he repeatedly contested the election results. Despite having no path
- 32:04Speaker 1: to victory, Casey continued to continue to refuse to concede
- 32:10Speaker 1: the election of McCormick, stating the election officials should quote
- 32:13Speaker 1: finished counting all the votes, including I guess the illegal ballots. McCormick,
- 32:18Speaker 1: by the way, attended the Senate orientation after Senate Majority
- 32:22Speaker 1: Leader Chuck Schumer previously refused to allow him to attend
- 32:25Speaker 1: the orientation, So the entire Democratic machine was trying to
- 32:31Speaker 1: overthrow the will of the people. Schumer took a lot
- 32:35Speaker 1: of heat from Republican Senators Tom Cotton, marc Arrubio Mullin
- 32:39Speaker 1: for his refusal to allow McCormick to attend the Senate
- 32:43Speaker 1: orientation as Casey continued to refuse to concede the race.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Dave McCormick's bid comes two years after he failed to
- 32:52Speaker 1: secure the nomination in the US Senate race against the
- 32:54Speaker 1: Democrat John Fetterman, who went on to beat the Republican.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Doctor Oz.
- 33:02Speaker 1: So this is a big switch for the people in Pennsylvania.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Pennsylvania now has a Republican Senator and a Liberal senator
- 33:10Speaker 1: and Fetterman.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I love that.
- 33:12Speaker 1: As I described this, this is what is so great
- 33:18Speaker 1: about elections. You can change parties. You now have two
- 33:23Speaker 1: very different people representing that state in Pennsylvania. Bob McCormick
- 33:28Speaker 1: is very different from Fetterman. That's how I know that
- 33:31Speaker 1: American votes matter. But when you watch this election as
- 33:36Speaker 1: Casey was trying to steal it, it's pretty disgusting. It's
- 33:42Speaker 1: I mean, it's not pretty disgusting, it's really disgusting. It
- 33:45Speaker 1: is disgusting that he tried to steal this election and
- 33:48Speaker 1: then act like, oh, I'm a man of the constitution.
- 33:51Speaker 2: No, you're not.
- 33:53Speaker 1: You were trying to figure out a way to steal
- 33:55Speaker 1: an election and you still couldn't do it, and the
- 33:58Speaker 1: courts were saying no. And so that's the reason now
- 34:01Speaker 1: why you're like, oh, here's my constitution, and I'm just
- 34:04Speaker 1: trying to save them, you know, I'm just trying to
- 34:06Speaker 1: do the right thing and make sure that every vote
- 34:08Speaker 1: was kind of like, give me a break. These people
- 34:12Speaker 1: don't respect the voters will when they lose. They only
- 34:15Speaker 1: say respect the voters will when they win. That is
- 34:18Speaker 1: the Democratic Party right now, and trying to block McCormick
- 34:22Speaker 1: from coming to to learn how to do his job
- 34:24Speaker 1: in the Senate and all the things that you need
- 34:26Speaker 1: to learn is proof of that.
- 34:29Speaker 2: And it's disgusting. Make sure you share this podcast with
- 34:32Speaker 2: your family and your friends.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Please, I'm going to keep you update on the poll
- 34:35Speaker 1: numbers and let you know what it looks like each
- 34:37Speaker 1: and every day, and I'll see it back here tomorrow
