- 3:04Speaker 2: slash Morning Update in role for free Hillsdale dot edu
- 3:09Speaker 2: slash Morning Update. It's the forty seven Morning Update and
- 3:12Speaker 2: it starts right now.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Story number one.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Liberals freaking out at the idea of giving someone three
- 3:20Speaker 2: thousand dollars a holiday stipend for self deportation. The question
- 3:24Speaker 2: all of us should be asking is why would you
- 3:27Speaker 2: not be in favor of that. Democrats claim they're all
- 3:29Speaker 2: about right humanity. They want to make sure that everyone's
- 3:32Speaker 2: happy and safe and well taken care of. You know
- 3:35Speaker 2: that the party of actually putting children in cages that
- 3:38Speaker 2: was under the Obama administration now treating people like a
- 3:44Speaker 2: human being, which is what Democrats have been obsessed with.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Are again angry that we're saying, if you're willing to
- 3:50Speaker 2: self deport, we will give you three thousand dollars holidays stipend. Now,
- 3:54Speaker 2: this is running through the end of the year. It's
- 3:57Speaker 2: a brilliant Trump policy, but it's also being sold as
- 4:01Speaker 2: a small expense, is far less than the cost of
- 4:05Speaker 2: chasing and deporting an illegal immigrant, And it comes amid
- 4:09Speaker 2: the growing pressure of the economic issues that migrants. Illegal
- 4:14Speaker 2: immigrants have put on this country, taking jobs away from
- 4:19Speaker 2: American citizens, raising the cost of rent for American citizens,
- 4:23Speaker 2: and raising the cost of home pricing for American citizens.
- 4:28Speaker 2: The President said it this way during the Christmas season.
- 4:32Speaker 2: The US taxpayer is so generously tripling the incentive to
- 4:35Speaker 2: leave voluntarily for those in the country illegally, offering a
- 4:39Speaker 2: three thousand dollars exit bonus. Now you only have to
- 4:43Speaker 2: the end of the year. Christy Nome's saying illegal aliens
- 4:46Speaker 2: should take advantage of the gift and self deport because
- 4:49Speaker 2: if they don't, we will find them, we will.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Arrest them, and they will never return.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Now, I think this is like one of the most
- 4:57Speaker 2: humanitarian things I have ever heard, Right, I think this
- 5:01Speaker 2: is amazing. There was a man that even filmed himself
- 5:04Speaker 2: his deporting video at the airport to avoid being picked
- 5:09Speaker 2: up by ICE.
- 5:10Speaker 1: He said that he.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Doesn't feel welcome here anymore as an illegal immigrant. Now
- 5:22Speaker 2: he's parked his car, he's got his pillow around his neck,
- 5:27Speaker 2: and he's speaking into TikTok.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:30Speaker 2: The reason why I play this is because this, to
- 5:34Speaker 2: me is like the best video that illegal immigrant could
- 5:37Speaker 2: ever put out. Why One, they're basically admitting defeat. Two
- 5:41Speaker 2: they're telling other illegal immigrants don't come here, it's not
- 5:45Speaker 2: worth it. Right, the chance of you getting picked up
- 5:47Speaker 2: are very high. He's doing a p s A that
- 5:51Speaker 2: is telling illegal immigrants to stop coming into this country.
- 5:56Speaker 2: That is again another example of just how incredible this is.
- 6:00Speaker 2: ICE putting out this Channel thirteen video self deported or
- 6:04Speaker 2: be deported. The choice is yours, as they described it
- 6:08Speaker 2: as a mother, a Columbian mother is self deporting with
- 6:11Speaker 2: her kids next week after her husband had already been deported.
- 6:15Speaker 2: And again this is great news because it's a walking billboard.
- 6:19Speaker 2: You got an illegal from Guatemala say she may have
- 6:22Speaker 2: to move home with her kids since her husband got deported.
- 6:24Speaker 2: While waiting to work, waiting for work outside of a
- 6:27Speaker 2: home depot, another example of self deportations. Again part of
- 6:32Speaker 2: the story. Listen, This mother wants to be known as Mirabel's.
- 6:37Speaker 2: She's not sure how much longer her six year old
- 6:40Speaker 2: will still be playing with these kids here at Esperanza
- 6:43Speaker 2: Elementary School. Mirabel is undocumented and now parenting on her
- 6:48Speaker 2: own after her husband was detained while he looked for
- 6:51Speaker 2: work outside of home depot. He's since been deported back
- 6:55Speaker 2: to Guatemala.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It's affecting their.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Chill d and Marabel says as she speaks through the tears,
- 7:03Speaker 3: the children have fear that makes them not want to
- 7:05Speaker 3: go out on the street. But their one year old
- 7:07Speaker 3: daughter was born in the US, and so was their
- 7:11Speaker 3: six year old, who's now a first grader. Year right now,
- 7:14Speaker 3: the district's enrollment stands that just over four hundred and
- 7:17Speaker 3: nine thousand students. That's down four percent from last year,
- 7:22Speaker 3: two percent more than what was projected.
- 7:25Speaker 6: The projection for this year was off by a significant margin,
- 7:30Speaker 6: and that margin is absolutely associated with federal immigration actions
- 7:35Speaker 6: in our community.
- 7:38Speaker 4: For every single student, LAUS brings in about twenty thousand
- 7:42Speaker 4: dollars in state and federal funds used to pay for
- 7:45Speaker 4: variety programs many students use and benefit from.
- 7:50Speaker 6: The loss is as high as one hundred and forty
- 7:53Speaker 6: million dollars for a one single year. If that continues
- 8:00Speaker 6: than year after year, then we're talking about a significant
- 8:04Speaker 6: impact of the budgets.
- 8:05Speaker 3: When you tell your daughter that you may have to
- 8:08Speaker 3: pull her out of the school and move her to Guatemala,
- 8:11Speaker 3: what does she tell you? She doesn't want to leave,
- 8:14Speaker 3: Marrabel says, but her daughter may have no choice. Marabell
- 8:19Speaker 3: can't afford to keep living in La much longer, so
- 8:23Speaker 3: Esperanza is likely to lose one more student very soon.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Again, this report I just played for you is exactly
- 8:32Speaker 2: the best public relations campaign that Trump administration could have
- 8:37Speaker 2: ever asked for. You can leave now. We will give
- 8:41Speaker 2: you a three thousand dollars bonus. You can have a
- 8:44Speaker 2: chance to come back legally and do it the right way,
- 8:47Speaker 2: and if you don't, we will hunt you down. We
- 8:49Speaker 2: will find you, and you will be gone now. The
- 8:55Speaker 2: departure of economic migrants is also pressuring uncaring elites in
- 9:00Speaker 2: the business. They say politics and government to help discarded
- 9:05Speaker 2: Americans return to work, health, and prosperity this new report says,
- 9:08Speaker 2: which again makes me laugh.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You have the crazies out there.
- 9:12Speaker 2: One of them said, quote, I feel like the system
- 9:14Speaker 2: isn't broken, it's working against us. A young American with
- 9:19Speaker 2: ten dollars left, shares a home with four roommates, lives
- 9:22Speaker 2: off granola bars, drives a car she can't afford to fix,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and watches rent bills and basing necesses wiped out of
- 9:28Speaker 2: every paycheck. Wlin, Well, guess what when you are supporting
- 9:31Speaker 2: people that are allowing for illegal immigrants to come into
- 9:35Speaker 2: this country and take your jobs and drive up the
- 9:38Speaker 2: price of housing and rent, this is what you get,
- 9:42Speaker 2: which goes back to the question that I ask everyone,
- 9:46Speaker 2: is it the best money we can spend? And showing
- 9:50Speaker 2: compassion for illegal immigrants at the same time humanizing them.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Democrats have said that Republicans will never do by giving
- 9:57Speaker 2: them three thousand dollars to self deport. This is, by
- 10:02Speaker 2: the way, I believe a incentive based program. Donald Trump
- 10:05Speaker 2: understands incentive based programs and how powerful they can be,
- 10:10Speaker 2: while also warning you that if you don't take this
- 10:13Speaker 2: sweetheart deal, you've broken our laws and we're willing to
- 10:17Speaker 2: fly you home and give you a bonus to do it.
- 10:21Speaker 2: But if you don't do it right, this is important.
- 10:25Speaker 2: If you don't do it, what's going to happen? Well, unfortunately,
- 10:30Speaker 2: we're going to hunt you down, We're gonna find you,
- 10:33Speaker 2: We're going to come after you, and you are going
- 10:36Speaker 2: to lose. You will be deported and never allowed back
- 10:41Speaker 2: in that right, there is exactly, I mean exactly what
- 10:47Speaker 2: I voted for. And I was talking to some ICE
- 10:50Speaker 2: agents gosh, forty eight hours ago and when this was
- 10:55Speaker 2: becoming a thing, and I was like, all right, explain
- 10:58Speaker 2: to me why I should be in favor of this
- 11:01Speaker 2: or against it, And they all unanimously said, you don't
- 11:03Speaker 2: understand the amount of time resources, court appearances, documentation, fingerprinting, processing,
- 11:12Speaker 2: even more paperwork.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Then lawyers get involved.
- 11:14Speaker 2: If if we catch someone at the home depot parking lot,
- 11:19Speaker 2: the two thousand or three thousand dollars is a steal
- 11:24Speaker 2: compared to what we pay while we hold them while
- 11:27Speaker 2: we go through the process and then we deport them.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It is also when we deport them, right, we're paying
- 11:34Speaker 2: for that deportation flight. This is cheaper than that is
- 11:38Speaker 2: they described it, and they said, if you could take
- 11:41Speaker 2: tomorrow a million people and give them all three thousand dollars.
- 11:45Speaker 2: It would be so much cheaper than what it would
- 11:47Speaker 2: cost to deport a million people. And ultimately, if you're
- 11:51Speaker 2: deporting these people and then the people who are taking
- 11:55Speaker 2: their place are keeping their money in America in our
- 11:58Speaker 2: systems as sending the majority of back home via Western
- 12:01Speaker 2: Union to whatever country they came from, because the majority
- 12:03Speaker 2: of legal immigrants do not keep their money in this country.
- 12:06Speaker 2: That's also I think the thing really important that people
- 12:08Speaker 2: need to understand. And so that's another part of the
- 12:12Speaker 2: frustrating aspect of this.
- 12:14Speaker 1: People are very, very very frustrated by this. Right.
- 12:20Speaker 2: They're frustrated that the math is just so much cheaper
- 12:25Speaker 2: if we do it this way. Are you rewarding bad behavior?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Is how I asked the question. Well, but aren't we rewarding?
- 12:32Speaker 2: They're like, look, if this is a revolving door, this
- 12:34Speaker 2: would be a bad proposition, right, Like, we wouldn't advocate
- 12:38Speaker 2: for this three thousand under the Biden administration because a
- 12:40Speaker 2: lot of people just go back to see their family.
- 12:42Speaker 2: You're paying for their trip back and then they're coming right,
- 12:45Speaker 2: they're seeing right back in America. Well, we've locked down
- 12:47Speaker 2: the border, like the illegal immigrants are not coming across
- 12:50Speaker 2: the border. We have locked it down because of the
- 12:52Speaker 2: leadership of Donald Trump. So they described it as now
- 12:56Speaker 2: it's worth it to do it because you're getting a
- 12:58Speaker 2: great bang for your buck. The other part is you're
- 13:01Speaker 2: only doing this through the end of the year. It's also,
- 13:03Speaker 2: they said, a psychological thing. Those who go to the
- 13:06Speaker 2: front of the line and the good graces to leave
- 13:08Speaker 2: early are the.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Ones that we're willing to look at when we come back.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Okay, So like when we're going through the process of
- 13:14Speaker 2: seeing who may get to come into this country, if
- 13:17Speaker 2: you wait too long, not only do you lose the
- 13:19Speaker 2: instead of the three grand, it drops back down to
- 13:21Speaker 2: a thousand. But at some point you're going to get caught,
- 13:24Speaker 2: as Christynome described it. And we've seen a lot of
- 13:25Speaker 2: people get caught and then you get nothing. So there
- 13:28Speaker 2: is a there's a lot here, you understand, like, there's
- 13:32Speaker 2: an awful lot of X factors here, And I think
- 13:34Speaker 2: that's the important part when you're dealing with deportation and
- 13:37Speaker 2: you're dealing with with time, paperwork, and part of this
- 13:41Speaker 2: is it frees up for us to go after the
- 13:43Speaker 2: hard criminals and the worst among us. If we have
- 13:46Speaker 2: millions of people that are self deporting who may not
- 13:49Speaker 2: be the hard criminals, that's another like massive perk. This
- 13:54Speaker 2: is the fastest way to get people out, and then
- 13:58Speaker 2: the dollars they were making are now going to Americans,
- 14:01Speaker 2: and those dollars are staying in America in our economy,
- 14:04Speaker 2: like three thousand. To get rid of someone who's taking
- 14:07Speaker 2: up a home or an apartment and their money is
- 14:09Speaker 2: not staying in America's economy is a no brainer. It's
- 14:12Speaker 2: not just a tax dollars, it's the cash. The number
- 14:16Speaker 2: one stimulus of Mexico's economy has been illegal immigrants sending
- 14:20Speaker 2: money back to Mexico.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It is outpaced oil production. So think about that.
- 14:26Speaker 2: If you can have that amount of money stay in America,
- 14:30Speaker 2: what does that do for our economy? Because the majority
- 14:33Speaker 2: of legal immigrants that stay here, they do not keep
- 14:35Speaker 2: all their money here. They send it home. It's a problem, man, Like,
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's a huge problem. And I hate that we're having
- 14:42Speaker 2: to spend any money at all, but I know that
- 14:44Speaker 2: we have to spend money to get rid of illegal immigrants.
- 14:47Speaker 2: And if we're going out there to track them down,
- 14:49Speaker 2: then it's a really big problem, and it costs a
- 14:52Speaker 2: lot to do it. Incentivizing people to self deport with
- 14:55Speaker 2: a three thousand dollars bonus, I would say why not?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Like this is if we can get rid of a
- 15:04Speaker 2: couple hundred thousand illegal immigrants by paying them three grand
- 15:08Speaker 2: to get out of.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Here, like, that's just money well spent.
- 15:10Speaker 2: It's a lot cheaper than going after them, having to
- 15:13Speaker 2: find them, dealing with all the deportations.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Like it is that that is a hard thing to do.
- 15:21Speaker 2: It takes money, it takes time, and everybody knows it.
- 15:27Speaker 2: It's a lot of cash. It's described as a three
- 15:29Speaker 2: thousand dollars exit bonus.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 15:32Speaker 2: It's part of the voluntary self deportation program references Project Homecoming.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Now here's the eligibility requirements. Because I asked for this,
- 15:40Speaker 2: I'm going to go through them. So you understand, only
- 15:43Speaker 2: undocumented immigrants people in the US without lawful immigration status
- 15:47Speaker 2: are eligible. So that being illegal immigration, you have to
- 15:50Speaker 2: have registration through the Department hid Security app. Individuals much
- 15:54Speaker 2: register and arrange their departure using the Home the Home
- 15:57Speaker 2: smartphone app.
- 15:59Speaker 1: There's a part by deadline.
- 16:01Speaker 2: The bonus would apply only if the individual voluntarily exits
- 16:04Speaker 2: the country by December thirty first, so you got to
- 16:08Speaker 2: go fast. The free travel provided, they say, the DHS
- 16:12Speaker 2: wire arranged to pay for transportation flight for the person's
- 16:15Speaker 2: home country as part of the offer as well. Then
- 16:19Speaker 2: there are waivers of fines and penalties, so this is
- 16:21Speaker 2: the incentivizing part. Okay, Participants quote may be eligible for
- 16:25Speaker 2: forgiveness of certain civil fines or penalties tied to their
- 16:28Speaker 2: unlawful presence if they voluntarily depart using the program.
- 16:32Speaker 1: The payment of.
- 16:33Speaker 2: The flight are usually processed after departure is completed, all right,
- 16:37Speaker 2: so there's a check and balance there with that. Some
- 16:39Speaker 2: previous participants criticize delays or problems with receiving earlier versions
- 16:44Speaker 2: of the payments because they won the money like immediately,
- 16:47Speaker 2: like instagratification are upfront. They're not doing this now. The
- 16:51Speaker 2: consequences are the incentive as well. DHS has said those
- 16:56Speaker 2: who do not leave voluntarily could face enforcement actions, including
- 17:00Speaker 2: arrest and formal deportation under immigration laws. They say that
- 17:04Speaker 2: it's fortunately removed three deportation typically face longer bands on
- 17:08Speaker 2: reentry than people who leave voluntarily, and they said this
- 17:12Speaker 2: three thousand dollars bonus is not a general, everyone gets
- 17:15Speaker 2: three thousand to leave the country. It's temporary for the
- 17:19Speaker 2: illegal immigrants to voluntarily exit, and they say it's tied
- 17:23Speaker 2: to self deportation. So if you're willing to do it yourself,
- 17:26Speaker 2: do it now, get out of the country by the
- 17:27Speaker 2: end of the month.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Then bam, you get it.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And they said, look, if you want to walk or
- 17:31Speaker 2: talk through this, you can literally go on the CBP
- 17:34Speaker 2: app about the self deportation process and go step by
- 17:38Speaker 2: step like they're trying to make this as easy as
- 17:42Speaker 2: possible to leave, but you must leave by the end
- 17:46Speaker 2: of the year. That's part of where they're like, let's
- 17:49Speaker 2: see how many we can get as fast as we
- 17:50Speaker 2: get it.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I love that.
