- 0:00Speaker 1: The United Nations has reprimanded Russia. What does that really mean? Honestly,
- 0:06Speaker 1: not that much and how concerned is Russia by this
- 0:09Speaker 1: reprimand for the United Nations? Well, Russia's foreign minister is
- 0:14Speaker 1: now warning of a third World war and claims that
- 0:18Speaker 1: it will be nuclear and destructive if anybody gets in
- 0:22Speaker 1: their way. Now, a quick reminder, if you're listening to
- 0:25Speaker 1: this podcast, please make sure you hit the subscribe or
- 0:28Speaker 1: auto download button and tell your friends about this podcast,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Share this on social media, and if you would run
- 0:34Speaker 1: us a five star review to help us, as Democrats
- 0:37Speaker 1: have been attacking our podcasts recently with bad reviews. Now,
- 0:40Speaker 1: over the last five or six hours, things have changed
- 0:43Speaker 1: dramatically in Ukraine. Russia is now moving in with paratroopers
- 0:49Speaker 1: and actual soldiers. People are on the run now, gunshots
- 0:54Speaker 1: as protesters are confronting Putin's troops and it looks like
- 0:58Speaker 1: Russia is now killing innocent people in the streets in Ukraine.
- 1:03Speaker 1: This after there has been significant bombing shelling over the
- 1:07Speaker 1: last twenty four hours. Putin is ramping up his deadly
- 1:12Speaker 1: air assault on multiple cities in Ukraine. As the leaders
- 1:17Speaker 1: in Ukraine are starting to beg for help, being pretty honest.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Now they are saying that his civilians are being murdered.
- 1:25Speaker 1: These are war crimes. I want to make that very clear.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Zelenski is now begging and the most blunt way he can,
- 1:34Speaker 1: for NATO to help fight with Ukraine. He said, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: I think he's a very realistic man that we cannot
- 1:44Speaker 1: do this alone. Listen to Zelensky from earlier today, the
- 1:51Speaker 1: United States has said that it will not enforce a
- 1:54Speaker 1: no fly zone over this country, and it won't put
- 1:57Speaker 1: boots on the ground these things. It is now time
- 2:01Speaker 1: for President Biden and other Western countries to reconsider that
- 2:06Speaker 1: and to help you, not just with military aid, but
- 2:09Speaker 1: with manpower. I've already turned to some foreign leaders with
- 2:14Speaker 1: this request. I believe that leaders must support democratic states
- 2:18Speaker 1: of the world who are keen to defend such principles.
- 2:21Speaker 1: The powerful issue of closing the airspace helps us tremendously.
- 2:25Speaker 1: This does not mean dragging NATO into this war. We
- 2:28Speaker 1: spoke many times with President Biden, and I'm thankful for
- 2:31Speaker 1: him for these opportunities and support, but they also did
- 2:34Speaker 1: not hear me. I've been telling them that Ukraine will
- 2:37Speaker 1: fight hardest of all. You will see but us alone
- 2:40Speaker 1: against Russia, we would not be able to do it.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Your army has enjoyed some significant battlefield victories in the
- 2:48Speaker 1: past week. I myself have been to see some of
- 2:52Speaker 1: the Russian armored columns that have been totally hammered and
- 2:55Speaker 1: destroyed by the weapons and the men that you've got
- 2:58Speaker 1: fighting the Russian advance. Are you now concerned, though, that
- 3:03Speaker 1: the Kremlin will double down on its military operations and
- 3:08Speaker 1: hit Ukraine even harder? That firstly, why are we winning
- 3:14Speaker 1: or why are we defending ourselves? But because this is
- 3:16Speaker 1: our home. Yes, Russia will double up, but take a
- 3:20Speaker 1: look at them. Why our men are stronger, more powerful
- 3:22Speaker 1: and successful, because, as I said, we have what we
- 3:26Speaker 1: need to protect. And they do not even understand our state.
- 3:30Speaker 1: They do not know these streets, They do not know
- 3:32Speaker 1: our people, do not understand our philosophy, our aspirations, what
- 3:36Speaker 1: type of people we are. They don't know anything here.
- 3:39Speaker 1: They were just sent here to fight and to die.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Matthew chap Zolenski again calling on NATO to fight with Ukraine,
- 3:49Speaker 1: saying alone against Russia we would not be able to
- 3:52Speaker 1: do it. Now. The question is very clear. Now will
- 3:57Speaker 1: the world step up? Yes, the UN had voted to
- 4:01Speaker 1: censure Russia. That doesn't mean anything to Vladimir Putin. It
- 4:06Speaker 1: is meaningless. And this is the part that I think
- 4:11Speaker 1: is so absurd. You have a president of the United
- 4:14Speaker 1: States of America who's trying to act like he's embracing
- 4:18Speaker 1: Ukraine right now, but he really doesn't even know what
- 4:22Speaker 1: he's talking about. Perfect example is in the State of
- 4:25Speaker 1: the Union when Biden called the Ukrainian people the Iranian people.
- 4:29Speaker 1: That can't be very comforting to the people in Ukraine. Together,
- 4:33Speaker 1: along with our allies, we are right now enforcing powerful
- 4:36Speaker 1: economic sanctions. We're cutting off Russia's large as banks in
- 4:39Speaker 1: an international financial system, preventing Russia's central bank from defending
- 4:44Speaker 1: the Russian rubble pudme circle key with tanks. But it'll
- 4:49Speaker 1: never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Of the Iranian people, you heard a lot of slurring
- 4:57Speaker 1: words there when he was getting talking really fast at
- 5:00Speaker 1: the slur of the Union. But what you just heard
- 5:03Speaker 1: right there as a president's talking about the Iranian people,
- 5:06Speaker 1: and I'm sure the Ukrainian people are saying, what in
- 5:07Speaker 1: the hell is going on in America with this leader?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Right now now, Vladimir Putin seems to be winning the day,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and part of that's because we are refusing to become
- 5:17Speaker 1: energy independent. We are refusing to say no to Russian oil.
- 5:22Speaker 1: We are subsidizing this slaughter of the Ukrainian people. Know
- 5:27Speaker 1: that we are one hundred percent supporting by default, the
- 5:35Speaker 1: Russian military and Vladimir Putin, because each and every day
- 5:41Speaker 1: we are buying his oil. If we actually stop that,
- 5:44Speaker 1: there would be a significant impact on his country, more
- 5:48Speaker 1: than the sanctions have done so far. What we also
- 5:53Speaker 1: know right now is that Vladimir Putin is not afraid
- 5:56Speaker 1: of these sanctions, and we know that he's not afraid
- 5:59Speaker 1: of the UN, even as they vote to condemn him,
- 6:01Speaker 1: to censure him, he doesn't care. Now China, and this
- 6:09Speaker 1: is very interesting. As the world rebukes Russia, India tries
- 6:14Speaker 1: to stay above the fray, and you also have another
- 6:18Speaker 1: interesting issue with China. Take a listen new this morning.
- 6:22Speaker 1: As the European Union, United Kingdom, NATO allies all rally
- 6:25Speaker 1: behind Ukraine, there's been a deafening silence from some other
- 6:29Speaker 1: world powers. India, the world's largest democracy, abstaining from a
- 6:33Speaker 1: United Nations vote condemning the invasion, the Chinese government Russia's
- 6:37Speaker 1: most powerful partner, urging a de escalation in Ukraine but
- 6:40Speaker 1: refusing to call Russia's invasion an invasion and failing to
- 6:44Speaker 1: condemn it. The New York Times reporting the Chinese regulated
- 6:48Speaker 1: Internet for the most part has been pro Russia and
- 6:50Speaker 1: pro Putin and in the Middle East, the senior United
- 6:53Speaker 1: Arab Emirates official says the country will not take sides.
- 6:57Speaker 1: For more on all of this, let me bring in
- 6:58Speaker 1: Ian Bremer, who is president of the Eurasia Group. Always
- 7:01Speaker 1: good to see you. Ian. Look, we're talking about the
- 7:03Speaker 1: two most populous countries in the world, one of the
- 7:05Speaker 1: richest who essentially won't come out and say this is wrong.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Give us your take on what we're seeing. In terms
- 7:12Speaker 1: of those countries, China is the more interesting here. Yes,
- 7:16Speaker 1: India is a member of the Quad, but frankly, on
- 7:18Speaker 1: just about any issue out there that isn't core to
- 7:21Speaker 1: India's national interests, they generally want to be non aligned.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's been true for generations, it's true now. So I mean,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I think people would have been shocked if India actually
- 7:30Speaker 1: voted to condemn Russia and that United Nations Security Council resolution,
- 7:34Speaker 1: especially given the level of trade with Russia, given the
- 7:36Speaker 1: level of Russian military equipment that still goes to India,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I would have been surprised. But on the China front,
- 7:42Speaker 1: let's keep in mind that before this invasion, we had
- 7:45Speaker 1: this extraordinary statement of friendship, and it was on the
- 7:49Speaker 1: strategic and military side, it was on the investment side,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and it was on the diplomatic side when President Putin
- 7:55Speaker 1: went to Beijing for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Since then, the Chinese have come publicly and said that
- 8:01Speaker 1: they recognize Ukraine's territorial integrity. They have said that they
- 8:06Speaker 1: are interested in potentially negotiating a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and they've told their journalists that they want to see
- 8:15Speaker 1: fair coverage and not supporting either Russia or Ukraine. That's
- 8:19Speaker 1: I mean, given where they were two weeks ago. I'm
- 8:21Speaker 1: not saying there with the United States, they're not, but
- 8:23Speaker 1: it's a significant disappointment for the country that Putin considered
- 8:27Speaker 1: to be their most important friend on the global stage.
- 8:31Speaker 1: So you look at these three countries as it was
- 8:33Speaker 1: just mentioned there, and I do think one of the
- 8:36Speaker 1: parts of this that has to be expanded on. Is
- 8:41Speaker 1: the reality now that there are many countries that are
- 8:43Speaker 1: just basically saying, hey, we're cool with Ukraine falling. We
- 8:49Speaker 1: don't want to mess up what we're doing with Russia
- 8:51Speaker 1: just because they're killing some innocent people. You look at
- 8:55Speaker 1: the UN to vote on these Russian invasion and a censor.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I think it's very clear that many they're like, all right, well,
- 9:00Speaker 1: we'll go along with it because everybody else is doing it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But what does it really mean Until the rest of
- 9:07Speaker 1: the world decides to genuinely isolate Vladimir Putin and stop
- 9:12Speaker 1: buying his oil, all of this is just theatrics, you know.
- 9:17Speaker 1: The Ukraine's Prime minister says, we will never consider anything
- 9:20Speaker 1: that undermines our territorial integrity, meaning there will be no
- 9:25Speaker 1: deal with Russia. The way that some are saying maybe
- 9:27Speaker 1: they should give up part of their country. There are
- 9:29Speaker 1: actually people that are now saying that. Jensaki was also
- 9:34Speaker 1: asked this morning about energy sanctions. Why haven't we done
- 9:39Speaker 1: it already? Here's her response. Yeah, certainly, the you guys,
- 9:43Speaker 1: the White House and allies across the West have unleashed
- 9:47Speaker 1: a pummeling array of sanctions against Russia. But you still
- 9:50Speaker 1: have a card to play in sort of energy and gas.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Will there be moves there to sanction that key industry
- 9:56Speaker 1: in Russia as well? You hear this response, I do
- 10:01Speaker 1: want to say one thing about Jensaki and the White
- 10:04Speaker 1: House and Joe Biden. The number one thing that keeps
- 10:08Speaker 1: Russia's economy alive and keeps their coffers filled with cash
- 10:12Speaker 1: is energy. That is their GDP. Their entire country revolves
- 10:17Speaker 1: around gas oil production. That is it. If you are
- 10:23Speaker 1: going in and slaughtering innocent people, killing children and women
- 10:26Speaker 1: and men in the streets who are civilians, targeting civilian targets,
- 10:32Speaker 1: apartment buildings, schools and places like that, and you still
- 10:37Speaker 1: haven't sanctioned Russian oil exports, I would argue that Joe
- 10:43Speaker 1: Biden is a terrible person because that's what really is
- 10:47Speaker 1: going to have teeth. You know they were talking about, Oh,
- 10:49Speaker 1: the oligarchs are angry, Well, Vladimir Putin, I don't think
- 10:52Speaker 1: really cares right now. Their economy is suffering. Is Vladimir
- 10:56Speaker 1: Putin's life suffering? No? Is he worried about the ruble
- 11:00Speaker 1: crashing and the stock market crashing? No? Because he is different.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Because I think what he thinks is well, everything will
- 11:06Speaker 1: go up when we get this thing settled. That's his calculus.
- 11:09Speaker 1: His calculus says, will take over Ukraine and then we'll
- 11:12Speaker 1: go back to normal. It may be three months or
- 11:14Speaker 1: six months from now when this happens, but then the
- 11:17Speaker 1: world's gonna want our oil, and if they're not willing to,
- 11:20Speaker 1: as long as we're buying their oil. Right now, we
- 11:22Speaker 1: are subsidizing his war on Ukraine. And the White House
- 11:27Speaker 1: knows this. Well. We're very open. I think you've seen
- 11:31Speaker 1: Jonathan I knew cover this and follow this very very closely.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Almost every single day there's new sanctions and new steps
- 11:38Speaker 1: that we're taking and announcing with our Western partners or
- 11:41Speaker 1: our countries in Europe. And we're doing that in lockstep
- 11:44Speaker 1: and in a unified way, which is very important to
- 11:47Speaker 1: the President. Well, we also factor in or what he
- 11:50Speaker 1: looks at, and I think this is important for people
- 11:52Speaker 1: to know, is how we can maximize the impact and
- 11:55Speaker 1: the squeeze on President Putin and the financial sector. We're
- 11:59Speaker 1: already seeing, you know, the ruble of their currency is plummeting.
- 12:03Speaker 1: We're seeing a stock market plummet there, inflation is skyrocketing.
- 12:07Speaker 1: But we want to minimize the impact on the global marketplace,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and that includes the global oil marketplace and the impact
- 12:14Speaker 1: of energy prices for the American people. Let's talk about
- 12:18Speaker 1: the fallacies right there from Jinsaki. Number one, if you
- 12:21Speaker 1: immediately announce that you're opening up the Keystone pipeline. Hell,
- 12:24Speaker 1: even if you did it temporarily until this ends, that
- 12:28Speaker 1: would have a massive impact on supply. Now, yes, it
- 12:30Speaker 1: would take days to get back up and running, but
- 12:32Speaker 1: the market would immediately react to that. If you immediately
- 12:36Speaker 1: said we were going to move in a direction of
- 12:39Speaker 1: energy independence as fast as we possibly can so that
- 12:43Speaker 1: we can sanction Russian oil right now, the world would
- 12:48Speaker 1: cheer that on. In America would cheer that on. The
- 12:51Speaker 1: American people would cheer that on. Why are they not
- 12:54Speaker 1: doing it? Because they don't want, in their words, to
- 12:58Speaker 1: go backwards. They believe that you should be driving an
- 13:02Speaker 1: electric vehicle, and they believe that high gas prices are
- 13:04Speaker 1: going to force you into that. Now, we're still buying
- 13:09Speaker 1: Russian oil every hour, every moment of every day right now,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and we have not stopped that. That means we are
- 13:16Speaker 1: subsidizing the slaughter of the innocent people in Ukraine. As
- 13:21Speaker 1: we speak. Poting has launched his largest air assault yet
- 13:26Speaker 1: in this invasion. As the UN condemns him. He doesn't care.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Now what could change the outcome of this war? As
- 13:34Speaker 1: if we did actually say no more Russian oil, it
- 13:39Speaker 1: certainly would shorten the length of the war, I think,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and it would also turn the people in his own
- 13:44Speaker 1: country against him much more than what has happened so far.
- 13:49Speaker 1: That is what would happen. So why is it that
- 13:52Speaker 1: there that the White House refused to do it? Because
- 13:54Speaker 1: they care more about the Green New Deal Kumbayak crap
- 13:59Speaker 1: than they do innocent people dying. That's why she's not
- 14:03Speaker 1: answering this question. So that's one of the factors that
- 14:07Speaker 1: we really look at. We're considering it. It's very much
- 14:10Speaker 1: on the table, but we need to weigh what all
- 14:13Speaker 1: of the impacts will be. We're not trying to hurt ourselves.
- 14:15Speaker 1: We're trying to hurt President Putin and the Russian economy.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Pivoting to the president. I love how there's always no
- 14:22Speaker 1: follow up from the lefties, right, you hear them immediately, Well,
- 14:24Speaker 1: we ask you one question energy. Now let's pivot again.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Jensaki energy sanctions very much on the table, but we
- 14:32Speaker 1: want to minimize the impact of energy prices. Well, if
- 14:35Speaker 1: you really believe that, if you really want to do that,
- 14:40Speaker 1: then you would immediately open up the Keystone pipeline. The
- 14:45Speaker 1: markets know that, the world knows that, and every single
- 14:50Speaker 1: barrel of oil that we buy from Russia right now,
- 14:53Speaker 1: those proceeds are going to prop up Russia and allow
- 14:57Speaker 1: them to continue to kill innocent people in Ukraine. Private businesses,
- 15:02Speaker 1: by the way, seem to be doing more than this
- 15:04Speaker 1: White House as to support the people in Ukraine. Boeing
- 15:07Speaker 1: came out today saying they're going to stop their service
- 15:09Speaker 1: contracts on their airplanes in Russia, which will ground a
- 15:14Speaker 1: significant number and in each and every day will ground
- 15:17Speaker 1: more and more airplanes in the Russian commercial flight industry
- 15:24Speaker 1: apples saying we're not going to sell their products anymore.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Even they're focused on this more than what we're doing
- 15:30Speaker 1: right now in this country from our president China, recognizing
- 15:35Speaker 1: Ukraine's territorial integrity. A significant disappointment is what Ian Brenner said.
- 15:40Speaker 1: As the world rebukes Russia, India tries to stay above
- 15:44Speaker 1: it and move out of it, right because they're playing
- 15:45Speaker 1: the game. They're playing the long game here, they're like,
- 15:47Speaker 1: we don't care. We're not gonna get in the wrong
- 15:49Speaker 1: side of Putin because they also are betting against the world,
- 15:51Speaker 1: actually beating him. You know. Joe Scarborough called out Biden
- 15:56Speaker 1: for depending on Russian oil, saying today we can produce
- 16:00Speaker 1: enough oil and this is on MSNBC, and that's when
- 16:03Speaker 1: you know it's getting bad for this White Hour. Richard
- 16:05Speaker 1: hoss I'd say something that will maybe unpopular with some
- 16:08Speaker 1: people that watch Morning Joe every morning, but it seems
- 16:11Speaker 1: to me our dependence on Russian oil continues, despite the
- 16:15Speaker 1: fact we're the largest producer in the world, despite the
- 16:18Speaker 1: fact that we actually are not getting the energy out
- 16:23Speaker 1: of the ground, that all the energy out of the
- 16:24Speaker 1: ground that we can get temporarily because of this war.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Wouldn't its strategically make a lot of sense for the
- 16:33Speaker 1: United States to ramp up oil production so they can
- 16:37Speaker 1: cut off the dependence on Russian oil. We have the
- 16:43Speaker 1: ability in this country to produce enough oil for this
- 16:50Speaker 1: country and energy for this country that we can depend
- 16:53Speaker 1: a hell of a lot less on Russia. Can we
- 16:56Speaker 1: not at least do this temporarily in the cause of
- 16:59Speaker 1: free them? And if Democrats want to go back to
- 17:04Speaker 1: current positions later. They can do that, but why not
- 17:08Speaker 1: if we have the ability to not be dependent on
- 17:11Speaker 1: Russian oil, why wouldn't we take that stuff right now
- 17:13Speaker 1: in a time of war. And if you're not going
- 17:15Speaker 1: to do it now, when are you going to do it?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Joe Scarborough is finally coming around to reality here, and
- 17:21Speaker 1: I will give him credit for that. He is absolutely
- 17:25Speaker 1: saying what everybody is thinking right now. You know, on
- 17:31Speaker 1: the Today Show, Vice President Kamala Harris, we're not out
- 17:34Speaker 1: there to carry water for the White House. She was
- 17:36Speaker 1: asked a pretty softball question about energy and I from
- 17:42Speaker 1: Savannah Guthrie. But the media is asking this question now
- 17:45Speaker 1: because it's the elephant in the room. The Ukrainian ambassador
- 17:49Speaker 1: has said the only way to really hit Putin where
- 17:52Speaker 1: it hurts is to go after his oil and gas sector,
- 17:55Speaker 1: and some senators agree, Republican and Democrats. Senator Joe Mansion,
- 17:59Speaker 1: for example, mentioned that the US is still currently buying
- 18:02Speaker 1: approximately six hundred thousand barrels of crude and other petroleum
- 18:06Speaker 1: products every single day. Is that on the table? Is
- 18:09Speaker 1: that something that the administration would continue would consider in
- 18:13Speaker 1: terms of further sanctions cutting off the oil and gas
- 18:16Speaker 1: part of the economy for Russia. Well, as you know
- 18:20Speaker 1: that on this issue, for example, we applaud Germany in
- 18:24Speaker 1: terms of what it has done as it relates to
- 18:26Speaker 1: the North strength too as it relates to what we
- 18:29Speaker 1: need to do domestically, as well as what we need
- 18:32Speaker 1: to do in terms of this issue generally. We have,
- 18:34Speaker 1: as the President said, reevaluated what we're doing in terms
- 18:38Speaker 1: of the strategic oil reserve here in the United States
- 18:40Speaker 1: to make sure that it will not have an impact
- 18:43Speaker 1: or we can mitigate the impact on the American consumer.
- 18:46Speaker 1: But let's take this one step at a time, understanding
- 18:49Speaker 1: that right now on the issue of energy, our allies
- 18:53Speaker 1: have stood firm and unified in a way that many
- 18:56Speaker 1: of the pundit stint predict would happen to ensure that
- 18:59Speaker 1: we are we are unified in our approach to this issue.
- 19:03Speaker 1: That's a non answer. You heard it, just like I did. That.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That didn't answer any of this, right, I mean, And
- 19:10Speaker 1: then there was a follow up here, right, The follow
- 19:13Speaker 1: up is the word salad of Wait, We'll hold on
- 19:15Speaker 1: a second. Are you is the US going to increase
- 19:18Speaker 1: energy production? Well, we're going to give you a bunch
- 19:23Speaker 1: of unique, fancy words, and we're not really going to
- 19:25Speaker 1: answer that question. How do you not answer that question?
- 19:33Speaker 1: How do you again, how do you not answer that
- 19:38Speaker 1: basic question? So if you take a step back, know this,
- 19:44Speaker 1: we are not doing enough to stop Russia. Ukraine is
- 19:51Speaker 1: correct when they say unless you guys stop buying their oil,
- 19:57Speaker 1: they're going to keep coming after our country. One accurate response,
- 20:04Speaker 1: one hundred percent accurate. And what was said there and
- 20:09Speaker 1: everybody knows it. That's why they're asking the questions today.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Rhonda Santis said this about the President United States of America.
- 20:22Speaker 1: He called Putin an authoritarian gas station attendant. It's not
- 20:27Speaker 1: a joke. He is right. That is what he is.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Without his gas, he doesn't have the power without us
- 20:36Speaker 1: buying it. He doesn't have the power. If you cut
- 20:41Speaker 1: Puttin off from buying his only product that props him up,
- 20:46Speaker 1: he will have to pay attention to what's happening. Until
- 20:50Speaker 1: we do that, Ukraine will continue to fall and the
- 20:54Speaker 1: people in Ukraine will continue to be massacred. Charles Hurt
- 20:59Speaker 1: several days said Biden attacking the US energy independence made
- 21:03Speaker 1: the US energy energy beggars to people just like Biden
- 21:09Speaker 1: and he's right. Um, you know we talk about sanctions. Uh,
- 21:13Speaker 1: you know, President Biden put all of his eggs in
- 21:15Speaker 1: the sanctions basket, and that didn't prevent Putin from invading Ukraine.
- 21:21Speaker 1: This is not about sanctions. This is about gas prices.
- 21:25Speaker 1: This is about energy independence. And when you have a
- 21:28Speaker 1: situation where you have an American president who has done
- 21:31Speaker 1: everything that the President Biden has done to undercut our
- 21:35Speaker 1: energy independence. We you wind up with this with scenes
- 21:38Speaker 1: from Mad Max the movie, which is what we're seeing
- 21:41Speaker 1: in Ukraine right now, where where you have bad people
- 21:45Speaker 1: who are emboldened and enriched because because we have given
- 21:50Speaker 1: up our own energy independence so much so to the
- 21:52Speaker 1: point you have Democrats writing letters urging OPEC to give
- 21:59Speaker 1: us more gas. We become gas beggars from some of
- 22:02Speaker 1: the worst autocracies on the planet. Which is we've done that.
- 22:08Speaker 1: That's exactly what we've done. We've given the worst people
- 22:11Speaker 1: in the world what they need currency to continue to
- 22:15Speaker 1: accomplish what they're doing right now, which includes invading places
- 22:18Speaker 1: like Ukraine. When you hear even the Vice President come
- 22:23Speaker 1: out on TV and the Vice President say what she said,
- 22:28Speaker 1: that we're going to do whatever we can to fight
- 22:32Speaker 1: back and support the people of Ukraine. That is a
- 22:34Speaker 1: lie at this point. It's not true until you stop
- 22:37Speaker 1: buying their oil. It is a lie. And when she's
- 22:41Speaker 1: asked this question by George Semnopolis, she knows she's lying
- 22:43Speaker 1: to you, in the world, in the American people, and
- 22:45Speaker 1: especially to Vladimir Putin, she knows it. You know, the
- 22:48Speaker 1: President said last night that Vladimir Putin had badly miscalculated,
- 22:51Speaker 1: but Putin shows no signs of backing down at all.
- 22:54Speaker 1: His forces are putting Ukraine in a vice script this morning,
- 22:57Speaker 1: is there anything more than you US can do to
- 22:59Speaker 1: prevent Putin from toppling Ukrainian government occupying Ukraine? Well, George,
- 23:04Speaker 1: let me start by saying that we have, as the
- 23:07Speaker 1: United States of America has shown great leadership, which the
- 23:09Speaker 1: President articulated in the State of the Union last night.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Most recently, I've been meeting with heads of government and
- 23:16Speaker 1: world leaders. Most recently just yesterday, I spoke with the
- 23:19Speaker 1: prime ministers of Poland, of Lithuania, Latya, talked with Romania
- 23:25Speaker 1: about the role that the United States has played and
- 23:28Speaker 1: bringing together are NATO Alliance, bringing together the EU to
- 23:32Speaker 1: stand firm, to stand resolute, and unified around what must
- 23:36Speaker 1: be serious and severe consequences for Vladimir Putin for the
- 23:41Speaker 1: Russians in terms of what they have done to invade
- 23:44Speaker 1: a sovereign nation. And we are seeing the impact of
- 23:48Speaker 1: the work that we have done. We are seeing the
- 23:50Speaker 1: ruble in a free fall, we are seeing the stock
- 23:53Speaker 1: market in Russia has essentially closed. What we have seen
- 23:57Speaker 1: is that the credit rating of Russia is now junk.
- 24:02Speaker 1: So what we know is that we're having an impact,
- 24:05Speaker 1: and we're taking it quite seriously. I think you know,
- 24:08Speaker 1: in many of the pundits you weeks ago, I wondered
- 24:11Speaker 1: whether we would take the kinds of measures that we
- 24:13Speaker 1: have taken, and we have because we're standing together with
- 24:16Speaker 1: our allies, and we are seeing an impact because of
- 24:19Speaker 1: those measures. Again, what are the measures you're taking if
- 24:23Speaker 1: you're not going for the one thing that he needs?
- 24:27Speaker 1: You know, I go back to you and vote on
- 24:28Speaker 1: the Russian invasion? What good is this vote if it
- 24:31Speaker 1: doesn't have a teeth behind it? What is it actually
- 24:33Speaker 1: going to do to Russia? Besides we condemn you and
- 24:35Speaker 1: Russia says I'm going to bomb another building. Listen to
- 24:39Speaker 1: George Stepanopolus. His response here seems willing to pay that
- 24:42Speaker 1: price right now there. He's not backing down in any way,
- 24:45Speaker 1: shape or form. The US intelligence about what Putin is
- 24:47Speaker 1: going to do has been pretty accurate so far. Does
- 24:50Speaker 1: it suggest that Kiev is going to fall? He understands it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Stepanopolis gets this. He's a smart guy. You guys can
- 24:58Speaker 1: say whatever the hell you want to say, but that
- 25:00Speaker 1: doesn't mean he's gonna stop doing what he's doing. It
- 25:03Speaker 1: doesn't seem that anything you guys have done so far
- 25:05Speaker 1: stopped him. He knows how much cash he has. He
- 25:09Speaker 1: know he knows how much money's coming in. And by
- 25:12Speaker 1: the way, when oil and gas prices continue to rise,
- 25:14Speaker 1: he's making more money today than he made yesterday off
- 25:16Speaker 1: his oil and gas exports. He understands us. He's done
- 25:20Speaker 1: the math. And I also think he understands that he
- 25:23Speaker 1: owns America and many other parts around the world. Because
- 25:27Speaker 1: we are living in a fair tale world. We're living
- 25:29Speaker 1: in this stupid world. We are living in this fairytale
- 25:34Speaker 1: world right now where we're in this Kumbaya BS moment
- 25:40Speaker 1: where we're gonna, you know, save the world and the
- 25:43Speaker 1: environment by buying all these green alternative energy cars. Right,
- 25:48Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna do all these amazing things and
- 25:51Speaker 1: we're gonna save the world. And he's sitting there laughing
- 25:55Speaker 1: at us because we're still buying oil. We're just not
- 25:58Speaker 1: buying it and being energy. We're still using the same
- 26:00Speaker 1: amount of oil. We're still using oil. In fact, we're
- 26:04Speaker 1: using oil that is not even refined in the most
- 26:08Speaker 1: responsible way coming from Russia, which is doing global warming.
- 26:12Speaker 1: They're not drilling in the most responsible way in Russia,
- 26:15Speaker 1: news flash, which is also contribute to quote what global warming.
- 26:19Speaker 1: So if you do care about global warming, and as
- 26:22Speaker 1: long as there's a market and we're gonna buy it somewhere,
- 26:24Speaker 1: I would argue that the most humane thing to do
- 26:27Speaker 1: to the environment is to produce it here because we
- 26:31Speaker 1: have checks and balances and regulations that the Russians would
- 26:35Speaker 1: laugh at that they would never do. They would never ever,
- 26:40Speaker 1: ever ever do it. And this goes back to what
- 26:44Speaker 1: was just asked of Harris, like, you guys, everything you've
- 26:47Speaker 1: done so far doesn't seem to be deturum at all.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Senior US forces are excuse the US officials say, Russian
- 26:55Speaker 1: forces the resolve maybe down a little bit, not from
- 27:00Speaker 1: what I'm seeing they're continuing to attack and kill innocent people.
- 27:05Speaker 1: They attacked Jim this morning, killing people working out in Ukraine.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Pictures coming in now have a massive bomb hitting a
- 27:13Speaker 1: gym where people were working out, literally doing like CrossFit.
- 27:17Speaker 1: So if you think everything you're doing right now Kama
- 27:20Speaker 1: was working, it's not. Kama's response, well, we're gonna do
- 27:23Speaker 1: everything we can to support the Ukrainian people, and so
- 27:26Speaker 1: that's not true. If you were doing everything you could
- 27:29Speaker 1: have support the Ukrainian people, you would be doing with
- 27:31Speaker 1: the Ukrainian present said that you needed to do. And
- 27:34Speaker 1: what did he say? He said, you've got to stop
- 27:36Speaker 1: buying their oil. If you don't stop buying their oil,
- 27:38Speaker 1: all this doesn't matter. So that's a lie. You're not
- 27:42Speaker 1: doing everything you can. I go again, go back. I'm
- 27:46Speaker 1: going to back it up ten seconds here. Listen to
- 27:48Speaker 1: what George Stepanopolis hardcore lefty's saying. Kamal Harrison, her live
- 27:52Speaker 1: response seems willing to pay that price right now. He's
- 27:55Speaker 1: not backing down in any way, shape or form. The
- 27:57Speaker 1: US intelligence about what Putin is going to do has
- 27:59Speaker 1: been accurate so far. Does it suggest that Kiev is
- 28:03Speaker 1: going to fall well, we're going to do everything we
- 28:05Speaker 1: can to support the Ukrainian people, and so we are
- 28:08Speaker 1: doing that through our security assistance, through economic assistance, humanitarian assistance. Again,
- 28:13Speaker 1: when speaking to the prime ministers that I mentioned just yesterday,
- 28:17Speaker 1: we talked in great detail about what we are doing
- 28:19Speaker 1: to increase almost on a daily basis or security assistance.
- 28:23Speaker 1: What we are doing on almost a daily basis, including
- 28:25Speaker 1: to increase our lethal assistance in terms of what they
- 28:28Speaker 1: need and what they require to defend themselves in their country.
- 28:31Speaker 1: By the way, you know that all of this is
- 28:33Speaker 1: being done after the fact, and it's all only being
- 28:35Speaker 1: done really after the world responded with outrage. We could
- 28:40Speaker 1: have done all this on the front end when he
- 28:42Speaker 1: was lining up troops on the border. We could have
- 28:45Speaker 1: done this weeks ago, so they actually weren't waiting on
- 28:48Speaker 1: what they needed to defend themselves, which is exactly what
- 28:51Speaker 1: they're doing right now. They're waiting on it. We could
- 28:53Speaker 1: have done all of this preemptively so that they could
- 28:56Speaker 1: have been prepared to fight immediately, so that they wouldn't
- 28:58Speaker 1: be in maybe the situation they're in right now. We
- 29:01Speaker 1: could have done all of that, folks, Every single bit
- 29:06Speaker 1: of this but when she says, we're doing everything we
- 29:09Speaker 1: can choose lying to you, and until we are honest,
- 29:12Speaker 1: intellectually honest about what's going on with oil and gas,
- 29:15Speaker 1: we are not going to win this thing. And the
- 29:18Speaker 1: Ukrainian people are going to be massacred because Vladimir Putin
- 29:21Speaker 1: is not the same logical person that gives a crap.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I want to be clear about sanctions. He just doesn't
- 29:29Speaker 1: care about sanctions. He does not care. Let me just
- 29:35Speaker 1: go back about eight months ago, June of last year,
- 29:41Speaker 1: Donald Trump warned the world when he said we are
- 29:44Speaker 1: no longer energy independent. We are dependent on energy, yes,
- 29:51Speaker 1: and we're gonna buy it from somewhere, but we're not
- 29:53Speaker 1: independent anymore. And this is a skyrocketing gas prizer were
- 29:56Speaker 1: happening back in June of last year, but it was
- 29:58Speaker 1: a bigger point. It was about national security, and look
- 30:01Speaker 1: at where we are today. Donald Trump was right when
- 30:03Speaker 1: he said this last year. But you see what they
- 30:08Speaker 1: did with the Keystone XL pipeline where they sucked it
- 30:12Speaker 1: almost on the first day, and that was never mentioned
- 30:15Speaker 1: during the debate. I kept saying, you know, you're not
- 30:17Speaker 1: going to be energy independent. You're not going to do
- 30:19Speaker 1: for Pennsylvania, for Texas, for all of these places where
- 30:23Speaker 1: we're doing so well with energy, We're not going to
- 30:26Speaker 1: be energy independent in two months from now. They make
- 30:29Speaker 1: it windmills all over the place to ruin our land
- 30:31Speaker 1: and kill our birds, to kill everything, and we're not
- 30:35Speaker 1: going to be And they're very intermittent, as you learned
- 30:37Speaker 1: from watching over the last four months. It's intermittent energy.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It's not good. It's not going to power our great factories,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and real what did you make It's a real problem.
- 30:50Speaker 1: He warned us. He understood being energy independent. CBS also
- 30:55Speaker 1: coming out and saying moments ago, I want you to
- 30:58Speaker 1: I want you to hear this CBS Brennan said Biden
- 31:02Speaker 1: didn't sanction Russian energy exports because the US isn't energy independent.
- 31:08Speaker 1: If you really want a nuclear option, you hit the thing.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Russia exports. They are the number three oil producer in
- 31:13Speaker 1: the world, they're the number two gas producer in the world.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Why can't he do that because we consume that product,
- 31:19Speaker 1: the rest of the world does as well, and we
- 31:20Speaker 1: already have inflation at a forty year high. There it
- 31:23Speaker 1: is your held hostage, and Vladimir Putin knows it. CBS
- 31:27Speaker 1: News saying it spot on, why haven't we done it yet?
- 31:31Speaker 1: Because we need it, and they're the third and second
- 31:34Speaker 1: biggest producers of oil and gas in the world, and
- 31:36Speaker 1: we are dependent on them, and so is the rest
- 31:39Speaker 1: of the world. And that's why we're not doing it. Quote,
- 31:41Speaker 1: if you really want a nuclear option, you hit the
- 31:43Speaker 1: thing Russia exports. They are the number three oil producer
- 31:46Speaker 1: in the world. They're the number two gas producer in
- 31:49Speaker 1: the world. They can't why can't he do that referring
- 31:52Speaker 1: to Biden because we consume that product. The rest of
- 31:56Speaker 1: the world does as well, and we already have inflation
- 31:58Speaker 1: at a forty year high. Putin knows it as well.
- 32:03Speaker 1: And until we get our heads out of our a doubless,
- 32:07Speaker 1: until this president, i should say, gets his head out
- 32:09Speaker 1: of his a doubles and the Democratic Party with this
- 32:11Speaker 1: Kumbaya insanity over, you know, green alternative energy. These dictators
- 32:16Speaker 1: and tyrants, these butchers of the world own us. They
- 32:21Speaker 1: own us. That's what this is, plain and simple. They
- 32:25Speaker 1: own us. Make sure you share this podcast and also
