- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks, things in the coves and good of the
- 0:24Speaker 1: listening to mother. Please I don't join join with me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn you. You gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn you haven't got to turn them out.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Then turn the water the water go. Come, come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your thing, huh, I sure will. Okay, morning everybody you're
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on dig me now. One
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only is Steve Harvey. Man got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God in the
- 2:13Speaker 1: blessing business. Yeah, that's all. I'm just a recipient. Steve
- 2:20Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show because God is in the
- 2:22Speaker 1: show you favor business. He showed me some favor. Steve
- 2:28Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show because God is in the
- 2:30Speaker 1: forgiving business. God and forgave me thousands and thousands of times,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you know. And I say that as a big number
- 2:44Speaker 1: like that, because it's probably true. God is a forgiving God.
- 2:48Speaker 1: That's how I exist today, and that's how you exist today.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And one of the things I want to remind you about,
- 2:54Speaker 1: even in existing today, you know, Joel Oldstein had a
- 2:58Speaker 1: has a book out call It's Your Time. I love
- 3:01Speaker 1: this book. It's called It's Your Time. And that's kind
- 3:05Speaker 1: of what I want to touch you on today. And
- 3:07Speaker 1: I want to remind you all that it's still your time. See,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you know there's look, you know, they've got unsuccessful people
- 3:20Speaker 1: have created a lot of sayings to justify our failures
- 3:25Speaker 1: as people. Well, my ship has passed. That that was
- 3:31Speaker 1: created by a person who did not quite make their
- 3:37Speaker 1: goal in the amount of time that they had set for.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So to justify it, here comes this great, seemingly very
- 3:43Speaker 1: clever saying, and a lot of us are dept. Well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: my ship has passed, so we adopt that. Here's another one. Well,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I guess it just wasn't meant to be. That sounds good,
- 3:55Speaker 1: don't it, Because they mix it up with a little
- 3:58Speaker 1: bit of faith base in it. I guessed it wasn't. Well,
- 4:02Speaker 1: here's another one. I guess if God wanted it for me,
- 4:05Speaker 1: i'd have it. Are you serious? Man? Are you serious?
- 4:12Speaker 1: You're actually gonna use that one to to to justify
- 4:17Speaker 1: where you are in life? Man? That's that's so that's
- 4:22Speaker 1: so not the case. I want to remind everybody today
- 4:26Speaker 1: that it's still your time. That you know your ship
- 4:31Speaker 1: hasn't sailed, you didn't miss all of your opportunities. There's others.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It's still your time. You know you still got a chance,
- 4:44Speaker 1: You still have a shot. Here's a good one. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: still have hope, you do all of you. As long
- 4:56Speaker 1: as God is who he is, there's always hope for you.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You can never lose sight of that. You can never
- 5:04Speaker 1: let the devil win that battle that there is no
- 5:08Speaker 1: hope for you and cause you to do something that's unthinkable.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm just gonna cash in the chips. I'm gonna take
- 5:18Speaker 1: my life. I'm gonna commit suicide. No, no, no, wait
- 5:21Speaker 1: a second, wait a second, Are you for real? That's
- 5:25Speaker 1: not God talking to you. That's something wrong and it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: not coming from him. It's still your time, you still
- 5:34Speaker 1: got a chance. There's always hope. But listen to me.
- 5:39Speaker 1: You got to move and you got to move on it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So many people are not getting the full benefit of
- 5:48Speaker 1: their life, and so many people are not getting all
- 5:50Speaker 1: the blessings that God has for because you keep waiting
- 5:54Speaker 1: on the perfect time. Man, how many times have I
- 5:57Speaker 1: heard people come to me and say a man, I'm
- 6:00Speaker 1: just waiting on everything to line up, right, Man, I'm
- 6:03Speaker 1: waiting on the perfect time to get He can't tell
- 6:06Speaker 1: you something. If I were waiting on the perfect time,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I wouldn't be hardly any of the things that I've become.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And one of my greatest blessings was marrying Marjorie. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: wouldn't even have married Marjorie if I was waiting on
- 6:27Speaker 1: the perfect time, because I had gone through what I
- 6:29Speaker 1: thought was enough misery to cover my entire lifetime. And
- 6:35Speaker 1: so when I was first divorced, I just said, man,
- 6:42Speaker 1: it's gonna be five six years before I do this again.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I said it two years later I was married. But
- 6:52Speaker 1: guess what, man, it wasn't the perfect time. I didn't
- 6:57Speaker 1: have my ducks, all my ducks lined up in a row.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It was still some things I needed to clean up.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I even told her, it's some things I want to
- 7:05Speaker 1: clean up out of my life. Before you know it's
- 7:09Speaker 1: it's I want I want to make sure I got
- 7:11Speaker 1: all the stars a line up. You know I want
- 7:13Speaker 1: to I want to wait until all the ducks are
- 7:15Speaker 1: in a row. I was waiting on the perfect time.
- 7:20Speaker 1: If I had not stopped and Marjorie and I had
- 7:23Speaker 1: set out and said to each other there will be
- 7:26Speaker 1: no perfect time, and then she said, I'll go through
- 7:31Speaker 1: with you whatever you're going through. That was it. I
- 7:36Speaker 1: took a chance. The ducks were not lined up in
- 7:41Speaker 1: a row. Had a lot of baggage in my life, man,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I wanted to try to clear up. I want to
- 7:47Speaker 1: do some things financially different. I wanted to just get
- 7:50Speaker 1: rid of some residue I had in my life. She said, no,
- 7:55Speaker 1: we'll do it together, because they ain't no perfect time.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And guess what it wasn't. So if you're out there
- 8:01Speaker 1: waiting on the perfect time to do something, it may
- 8:05Speaker 1: not come. There is no such thing as waiting on
- 8:08Speaker 1: the perfect time. I've said this a hundred times, and
- 8:11Speaker 1: here comes one on one. The road to success is
- 8:15Speaker 1: always under construction. You ain't gonna go out there and
- 8:17Speaker 1: there ain't no barrels on the road. You're not going
- 8:20Speaker 1: out there and not running to deep to a sign.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You're not going out there without seeing the men working
- 8:25Speaker 1: signed to get off. You're not going out there to
- 8:28Speaker 1: see it. So guess what, stop waiting on the stars.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I got, man, this is a perfect time to do
- 8:34Speaker 1: it now. If you're waiting on the perfect time, that
- 8:38Speaker 1: could be one of your biggest problems. You're still waiting.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You have got to move and you've got to move
- 8:43Speaker 1: on it, and you've got to make a decision to
- 8:45Speaker 1: go now. God will get you through everything necessary for
- 8:50Speaker 1: you to get through. But you can't quit though. See
- 8:53Speaker 1: it is a disapart. You can't quit just because the
- 8:57Speaker 1: road you're own is under construction. You can't get off
- 9:00Speaker 1: at the exit because you're tired of all the bump
- 9:02Speaker 1: of the bumper traffic. It's that way. Get you some God,
- 9:07Speaker 1: like I said, get you some God, and go on
- 9:10Speaker 1: and go see what your life can be like. So
- 9:13Speaker 1: stop waiting on the perfect time, stop waiting on the
- 9:15Speaker 1: stars to align themselves. You got to move and you
- 9:19Speaker 1: got to move on it. Get you some God, apply
- 9:23Speaker 1: some faith, and get started. And remember when you get
- 9:26Speaker 1: out there, coming towards your goal. The road to construct,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the road to success is always under construction. If it
- 9:32Speaker 1: was easy, everybody would be it. Stop expecting it to
- 9:35Speaker 1: be easy. Come on out here, get up in this thing.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's funky out here. Yeah I got all that. It's
- 9:40Speaker 1: hard out here, Yeah I got all that. But what
- 9:43Speaker 1: you wanna do, Man, what you wanna do? You're gonna
- 9:47Speaker 1: push your chips up to the window. It ain't time
- 9:49Speaker 1: for that. You still got time, you still got a chance.
- 9:52Speaker 1: There's always hope, There's always God. That's my conversation today.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Ladies and gentlemen, man, have your
- 10:04Speaker 1: undivided attention. Please, thank you? Now put that down, now,
- 10:09Speaker 1: stop stop all that. Thank you. Now that I have it,
- 10:13Speaker 1: it's time for the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Wait, hold
- 10:18Speaker 1: on one second. I said no, it's time for the
- 10:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Welcome everybody, Welcome one, Welcome all,
- 10:29Speaker 1: we are here. Hold on y'all one second. Man, I'm
- 10:33Speaker 1: gonna tell you'll ask someone. I said, no him. Ladies
- 10:41Speaker 1: and gentlemen, this is the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and
- 10:43Speaker 1: this is how we chose to do it this morning.
- 10:46Speaker 1: The creator of reality radio. And it don't get no more. Really,
- 10:52Speaker 1: what hold on? Not get off his damn radio? You're
- 11:01Speaker 1: just wait. Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Sean Shirley Strawberry, Hey,

- 11:11Speaker 1: happening right here. We're just being real with it, you know.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Call it for real, I mean, keeping it real. What's
- 11:16Speaker 1: going on, Steven? Going on as you Mama, nephew Tommy.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yet I'm in the building top top, Jathany Brown, what up,
- 11:29Speaker 1: mister Harvey? What's going on? Man? What is happening? Ain't nothing? Man?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Everybody goody Oh, I'm I'm in good shape, man, real
- 11:42Speaker 1: good shape. Happy blest. I want to apple false. Wait
- 11:48Speaker 1: did you just say happy? Yeah? Happy, ecstatic? Listen to
- 11:52Speaker 1: me over joy. The key is I'm not feeling. Let
- 11:56Speaker 1: nobody steal my joy? A man, brother out you know
- 12:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah again, joy thieves out there. The
- 12:07Speaker 1: joy thieves are out there. They still enjoy it in
- 12:13Speaker 1: a minute, man, boy, Yeah. You know what's amazing to me.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It's like amazing that people people who think they can
- 12:21Speaker 1: do something to you, like it's just gonna be free,
- 12:25Speaker 1: you know, like that I'm gonna just do what I
- 12:27Speaker 1: want to do to them and it's just gonna be free. Well,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you it ain't free. You're gonna
- 12:38Speaker 1: have to pay a free costs and it's been gashed.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Go get it. I mean, they don't deliver free things,
- 12:50Speaker 1: so you're right now. Free ain't free ain't never, is
- 12:55Speaker 1: what it's like. It's almost like a conversation. Listening real carefully,
- 13:02Speaker 1: but if you listened real closely, is real stupid? Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 1: say one now, Suish shines. Well, I'm like, you're happy, Steve.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I'm glad for that myself. Always good and a good
- 13:21Speaker 1: weekend play from golf this weekend play good. But you
- 13:26Speaker 1: know it's just once a couple of them swings, you'll
- 13:28Speaker 1: be going, what the hell did I do? Hell? Did?
- 13:34Speaker 1: All right? Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:37Speaker 1: we're gonna talk to the cello. We're gonna ask the
- 13:40Speaker 1: chief love Officer, Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, now, Steve,
- 13:48Speaker 1: time for ask the cello, chief love officer in the building.
- 13:52Speaker 1: This one is from Harold and Newark, New Jersey. Harold writes,
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'm a thirty nine year old divorced man dating a
- 13:58Speaker 1: thirty three year old single mother. We started being intimate
- 14:01Speaker 1: recently and it's the best I've had in a long time.
- 14:05Speaker 1: The only problem is the only problem I have is
- 14:09Speaker 1: her six year old son that she brings on all
- 14:12Speaker 1: of our dates. Now, I like her son, and I
- 14:14Speaker 1: don't mind him tagging along at times, but not always.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I have offered to pay for a sitter, but she
- 14:19Speaker 1: doesn't trust anyone because of COVID. We have offered to
- 14:23Speaker 1: we have to sneak around the house to have sex
- 14:26Speaker 1: because her child has no boundaries. It's been a year,
- 14:29Speaker 1: so can I set the boundaries? Well, you're gonna have
- 14:34Speaker 1: to talk to her about it. I think you're gonna
- 14:36Speaker 1: have to bring up the subject about it that you know,
- 14:40Speaker 1: because now one thing about it? Did children come with
- 14:43Speaker 1: the women? So they ain't non you know? And I
- 14:46Speaker 1: appreciate you offering for a babysitter, but because of COVID,
- 14:49Speaker 1: she don't want to do it. So understandable, understandable, But
- 14:55Speaker 1: you're gonna have to bring up the subject and y'all
- 14:57Speaker 1: gonna have to find something to work through this. I
- 14:59Speaker 1: don't she has relatives she trust or something like this.
- 15:03Speaker 1: All what you can do is you can order rapid
- 15:06Speaker 1: COVID tests now, and you can test your babysitter or
- 15:11Speaker 1: you love one and leave them with the child. You
- 15:13Speaker 1: got to do something because you can't. The relationship won't
- 15:17Speaker 1: won't flourish without private time. Is that it's hard to
- 15:22Speaker 1: build it. Well, woman, you were dating with kids, brought
- 15:25Speaker 1: their kids, brought everything has happened to me, So just
- 15:30Speaker 1: how do I want to talk about it? It's real,
- 15:33Speaker 1: be face me. I had so munths ago at a
- 15:36Speaker 1: home in my ragged ass. That's why I don't think
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'll ever tell the real Steve Harvey story. I'm just
- 15:44Speaker 1: gonna just leave mind on set. Everybody don't need a
- 15:48Speaker 1: biole pick, and I just think I'm just one of
- 15:52Speaker 1: them people need to just let it go at one.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna have to be cause it's gonna be
- 15:59Speaker 1: corny because I'm had to lead all time. I had
- 16:01Speaker 1: to lead too much stuff, and then I'm old, yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and then I'm old. So you know you can't like,
- 16:08Speaker 1: you know, my medical records at four City got burned
- 16:12Speaker 1: down when the hotel got burned down with no damn computers.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Oh man, so anything for fifteen I ain't even here
- 16:20Speaker 1: what happened. Also, all right, all my medical records is gold.
- 16:25Speaker 1: They can't fine dental Charles and nothing. We're moving on.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Coleman and Peoria, Illinois says I'm a happily married man
- 16:34Speaker 1: and I continue to work Monday through Thursday. One of
- 16:37Speaker 1: my wife's closest friends is my coworker, and she's working
- 16:41Speaker 1: the same hours and days as I do. Now, we
- 16:44Speaker 1: talked about carpooling and alternating weeks when we would drive
- 16:48Speaker 1: to talk to my wife about it, and she forbid
- 16:50Speaker 1: me to do it. She said her friends should have
- 16:53Speaker 1: come to her and asked for permission. It has created
- 16:56Speaker 1: friction in their friendship, and I don't understand what my
- 16:59Speaker 1: wife's problem is. What's wrong with sharing our ride to work? Boy?
- 17:04Speaker 1: Are you stupid? Sir? Sir, you've formed a friendship with
- 17:12Speaker 1: your wife's closest friend. Y'all is set up and contrived.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Y'all gonna start riding to work together? But ain't nobody
- 17:25Speaker 1: come to the wife. Your girlfriend should have came. Her
- 17:30Speaker 1: girlfriend should have came and saying something to it. Now,
- 17:33Speaker 1: it's creating friction between you, and why you think that is?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Doge's problem is so? Dog? So dog, let me ask
- 17:43Speaker 1: you a question. You and your your wife and your
- 17:46Speaker 1: best friend work together. Then your wife come home and go, Hey,
- 17:52Speaker 1: me and Harold gonna start riding to work together? Okay, okay?
- 17:58Speaker 1: When hell? Yeah? See how you like that? Yeah? That's
- 18:07Speaker 1: all you got to do bro all right? Sure, all right,
- 18:10Speaker 1: Candy and Memphis says, my son's father got married in January,
- 18:14Speaker 1: but we still mess around whenever he's had too much
- 18:16Speaker 1: to drink. I like to think he still has feelings
- 18:19Speaker 1: for me, but I know it's the vodka. What bothers
- 18:23Speaker 1: me is that my son has seen him in my
- 18:25Speaker 1: bed overnight, and it could be confusing for him. He
- 18:29Speaker 1: has not met his daddy's wife yet, so he's only
- 18:31Speaker 1: seen me with his daddy. He's four years old, and
- 18:34Speaker 1: he's going to be confused by all of this. Is
- 18:37Speaker 1: it his daddy's job to explain to our son why
- 18:39Speaker 1: he's still sleeping over at our house or mine? I
- 18:43Speaker 1: don't I don't see how this is a problem that
- 18:45Speaker 1: you would write me and Sharley about. I really, I
- 18:49Speaker 1: don't really give it. Damn, I really don't. You know, seriously, sister,
- 18:54Speaker 1: you want to think that he still has feelers for you,
- 18:58Speaker 1: but you know it's all when he been drinking. Let's
- 19:03Speaker 1: not blame the alcohol for every damn thing. Maybe he's
- 19:08Speaker 1: still seeing you because you want him to see you
- 19:12Speaker 1: and you let him sleep with you. What difference do
- 19:15Speaker 1: it make? Who explained it? To the foe year old
- 19:19Speaker 1: when both y'all did wrong. So what is the conversation
- 19:24Speaker 1: gonna be about? Because the four year old ain't met
- 19:27Speaker 1: his new wife yet? And you know the little that
- 19:30Speaker 1: little that little boy gonna say some one time when
- 19:32Speaker 1: he do, you ain't my mama for the four year old? Yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 1: you damn right, And it's gonna be so confusion that
- 19:39Speaker 1: he gonna see clarity from everybody involved. You, the husband,
- 19:45Speaker 1: and the new wife, and you know this. So stop
- 19:49Speaker 1: playing this game because you know what you're doing, right.
- 19:54Speaker 1: You want him to be confused? Hell because you confused. Yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 1: it's confusing to us and we couldn't grown. Yeah, all right.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Sean and Los Angeles says, I'm forty years old and
- 20:12Speaker 1: my wife and I have been married for three years.
- 20:14Speaker 1: She's forty two. She has two children from her second marriage,
- 20:17Speaker 1: and I have one son from my first marriage. I
- 20:19Speaker 1: recently met her first husband. He wished me luck because
- 20:22Speaker 1: he said I married a cheater. He said they were
- 20:25Speaker 1: married four months she cheated, so he divorced her. I
- 20:28Speaker 1: have no way of knowing if he's a liar or
- 20:30Speaker 1: if this is true. Should I ask her about it
- 20:32Speaker 1: or let it go? What kind of conversation you have
- 20:35Speaker 1: it with her ex about your courage. No, he shady
- 20:42Speaker 1: and you shady. I wish you would come on me
- 20:44Speaker 1: and say somethingy like that. I knock your ass out,
- 20:48Speaker 1: knock your mucca ass right, all right, Cello, we gotta go.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Thank you for that though. Coming up next, church complaints
- 20:55Speaker 1: with Reverend Motown and Deacon def Jam. Right after this,
- 20:59Speaker 1: you're listen Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up in entertainment News,
- 21:04Speaker 1: we are sending our deepest, deepest condolences out to the
- 21:07Speaker 1: friends and family of the legend Bismarquis. We truly lost
- 21:13Speaker 1: a hip hop legend when we lost Bismarkeis. On Friday,
- 21:16Speaker 1: we're playing Praying for the Hall family and also an
- 21:20Speaker 1: entertainment news. On a lighter note, now we'll tell you
- 21:23Speaker 1: about the number one movie in America. We'll talk about
- 21:26Speaker 1: it all at the top of the hour. But right
- 21:28Speaker 1: now it is Monday, so you know what that means.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It's time for church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon
- 21:33Speaker 1: deaf jamachin to zi. That was an a selection from
- 21:48Speaker 1: blah yeah, oh that's French for myself. Okay, we're bilingual.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Pastor no, I speak to late, which you should be. Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I don't know. Question in my sexuality has never been
- 22:11Speaker 1: in this ship before. We are here too abide in
- 22:24Speaker 1: the opiculation. The critificus would be in a manifestation of cholography.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Were here now for church complaint only, Yeah, come, come, come,
- 22:49Speaker 1: no complaint complain. That's I tell you. I didn't never
- 22:57Speaker 1: my smart gods. I learned that from the Pope, from
- 23:06Speaker 1: the poet. I didn't know y'all talk. I didn't know
- 23:09Speaker 1: y'all we don't talk. I swung by the vibe, the vocating,
- 23:13Speaker 1: and when I was over there in the k R
- 23:23Speaker 1: went swung through that. He was out on the balcony.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I hauled up from down be lord. We had a conversation,
- 23:34Speaker 1: and did you ride in his card? Because he got
- 23:36Speaker 1: a nice little No, it wasn't big enough for me.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You got to get something way more pimper than this
- 23:42Speaker 1: here where you'll see that while we standard go ahead,
- 23:48Speaker 1: all right, passing, let's get down the business head. We
- 23:50Speaker 1: got to be going out in this church now. Sister
- 23:53Speaker 1: Pearline Walker loves her flip phone at a funeral, and
- 23:58Speaker 1: she thinks it's in the cemetery now she's asking, can
- 24:01Speaker 1: we send two of the deacons to see if they
- 24:04Speaker 1: can find it? But I'm telling you right now, I
- 24:06Speaker 1: know I'm not going. But the rest of the deacons
- 24:08Speaker 1: say they're not going either. So it's your call on
- 24:11Speaker 1: her tapping her, find her flip found, let her know
- 24:13Speaker 1: that flip flow flip phones is obsolete and that you
- 24:19Speaker 1: won't be sending no one out they absolute, He said,
- 24:31Speaker 1: all right, okay, well I let her know. Let me
- 24:35Speaker 1: keep it moving. I don King and Cornell West. They
- 24:39Speaker 1: Barber has passed and they are asking if we can
- 24:43Speaker 1: chipping to find them the right bob But that knows
- 24:46Speaker 1: how to cut how they like it. We don't need
- 24:51Speaker 1: to find another bobble for those brothers. We are. We
- 24:58Speaker 1: just gonna let it go. They only used them around
- 25:01Speaker 1: Eastern Ni. Huh, We're gonna We're gonna leave alone. Yeah, alright, alright,
- 25:12Speaker 1: We're all right. Well, I guess it'll just grow out
- 25:17Speaker 1: more naturally. Then all right, we're leaving. We'll let the
- 25:21Speaker 1: weekends babble take a shot at it. And the weekend alright.
- 25:28Speaker 1: The side Peace Ministry is asking for money to send
- 25:32Speaker 1: their spouses away so they can have a weekend without
- 25:35Speaker 1: all the drama. Um yo, cal pastor, but they're just
- 25:39Speaker 1: trying to their wives and husbands. Is in the way.
- 25:41Speaker 1: As far as the people that's in the Side Peace
- 25:43Speaker 1: Ministry and the side Peace Ministry that I'm very familiar with,
- 25:48Speaker 1: I've been trying to rescue these souls for a number
- 25:51Speaker 1: of years. Now. What we've decided to do with the
- 25:54Speaker 1: Side Peace Ministry is allowed their relationships to run their course. Okay,
- 26:05Speaker 1: how many? How many people is in the Side Peace
- 26:07Speaker 1: Ministry right now? If my last time I tabulated, it
- 26:11Speaker 1: looked like it's about thirty two thirty three people in
- 26:14Speaker 1: the side piece. Man, Well, look a here. I will
- 26:17Speaker 1: be counseling thirty two or broken homes and marriages soon
- 26:24Speaker 1: and then they won't be side pieces, no model, just
- 26:28Speaker 1: be pieces. Oh no, I mean, what's what's the difference
- 26:34Speaker 1: between a piece and the side I don't don't. A
- 26:38Speaker 1: piece is chicken, A side is slow. Huh. Here I go,
- 26:49Speaker 1: Booted blessings, Um, all right, booted blessings, I who used
- 27:01Speaker 1: to be strippers are asking can you go with them
- 27:03Speaker 1: to different strip clubs and bless some of these girls
- 27:07Speaker 1: that still working in the club. They call it booty bless.
- 27:10Speaker 1: They want you to go in and lay hands on
- 27:12Speaker 1: the path. Absolutely, we'll be going into all these clubs
- 27:20Speaker 1: to redeem lost souls. Why would I not servant? I
- 27:27Speaker 1: was called, and when you call, you got to come
- 27:33Speaker 1: on here, boy, come out here. Calling oftentimes means that
- 27:38Speaker 1: the Adams must be yes, yes, yes, huh Blue Ray,
- 27:54Speaker 1: do whatever necessary to get them down off your poles,
- 28:00Speaker 1: all right, last, but not leaves passing. This is a
- 28:04Speaker 1: last and urgent request. Chris Paul is asking that you
- 28:09Speaker 1: come to game six and pray for them in the
- 28:12Speaker 1: locker room. Are you available Tuesday, which is tomorrow night?
- 28:16Speaker 1: Are you available to go down there? Because Chris Paul
- 28:19Speaker 1: say they definitely need prayer right now. I'm not gonna
- 28:25Speaker 1: be able to make that. We'll pray for him right now.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Pass well, I don't, okay, father, If you will, knowing
- 28:36Speaker 1: that brother Paul has been in the league sixteen years
- 28:42Speaker 1: and ever tasted the holding up of a trophy, allow
- 28:47Speaker 1: him to hold this trophy up like he'd be holding
- 28:51Speaker 1: up them state farm commercial. Mind is the white girl.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Let's him love lift him up so he can be
- 29:02Speaker 1: famous for something other than a State farm commercial. We
- 29:06Speaker 1: ask all these things in his name, Church Avement, Entertainment
- 29:12Speaker 1: and National News. At the top of the hour right
- 29:15Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys,
- 29:21Speaker 1: we have to say congratulations to Lebron James and Don
- 29:25Speaker 1: cheatle Space Jam. Their new movie, Space Jam, A New Legacy,
- 29:30Speaker 1: is the number one movie in America right now. It
- 29:33Speaker 1: brought in thirty one point sixty five million dollars. Yeah. Yes,
- 29:39Speaker 1: when the last time you heard that, right? Yeah? Since
- 29:42Speaker 1: before the pandemic. Yeah, and that's low. Yeah, that's low, y'all. Yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 1: thirty one for a movie that costs that. Yeah, but
- 29:51Speaker 1: because of right yeah, you know, man, we just not back.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Thirty one million is low. Man, that's a low number, y'all.
- 30:00Speaker 1: That's but it's big for right now. Yeah, for this
- 30:04Speaker 1: time we went we went to the movies and then
- 30:06Speaker 1: saw it. It was so good. It was so good.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I saw a lot a little bit. I don't know
- 30:11Speaker 1: how they're gonna make their money back on that one though. Well,
- 30:15Speaker 1: is that just the box office number? Because I know
- 30:17Speaker 1: people can watch it at home. That's how they're making money.
- 30:22Speaker 1: To be a lone time? Right, Yeah? How much it calls?
- 30:25Speaker 1: How much? Hundred and fifty million, I think to make it. Yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 1: you can't do thirty on your first week, and thank
- 30:33Speaker 1: you for to get that back. Well, it's the number
- 30:36Speaker 1: one movie in the country though, so we gotta say
- 30:38Speaker 1: congratulate the whole dealer. Brun got hit coming back. It
- 30:43Speaker 1: really wasn't sure. It wasn't up against nothing. The Black
- 30:48Speaker 1: Widow was up against the Black Widow the Marvel movie
- 30:52Speaker 1: that was a scarlet Johns. I don't a lot of
- 30:58Speaker 1: you ain't talking black pants, all right, they did better
- 31:03Speaker 1: off getting a black lady, a black girl to play
- 31:05Speaker 1: black widow, you know, and draw some more interest like
- 31:08Speaker 1: they did with Black Panther. But you know, they just
- 31:12Speaker 1: do enough. It's okay, I don't. I don't. I don't.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I'm talking about this because I really don't tell ye.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I'm just trying to be engaging. I
- 31:21Speaker 1: apologize this because I don't get damn about no black widow. Well,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I think Space Jam needs a shout out because I
- 31:29Speaker 1: saw a lot of black boys there, Steven. When the
- 31:32Speaker 1: movie was over, they were there with their dads and
- 31:34Speaker 1: they were like, oh cool, see it again. I love
- 31:36Speaker 1: Lebron dadd Okay, that's the point. Yeah. All I just
- 31:42Speaker 1: said was I don't care about no black widow. Okay,
- 31:45Speaker 1: moving on. You didn't have to say that I want
- 31:50Speaker 1: steel Water to come out. I want to see steel Water, Okay,
- 31:55Speaker 1: all right, but that's in the movies. And I went, man,
- 31:57Speaker 1: they ain't gonna be going out there that Matt Damon
- 32:00Speaker 1: all right, yeah. And other entertainment news, some sad news
- 32:04Speaker 1: to report case you haven't heard. Hip hop legend Bismarck
- 32:08Speaker 1: Key passed away Friday night at the age of fifty seven,
- 32:12Speaker 1: with his wife Tara Hall by his side. This was
- 32:15Speaker 1: after a long fight with complications from diabetes. He was
- 32:19Speaker 1: born in Harlem, of course, raised in Long Island, and
- 32:22Speaker 1: he got to start as a DJ before he came
- 32:25Speaker 1: on the scene in the mid eighties by bringing humor
- 32:28Speaker 1: to the rap game. His presence added some much needed
- 32:31Speaker 1: comic relief to the genre at the time that prioritized
- 32:35Speaker 1: gritty raps about street life. Including his biggest hit, Just
- 32:39Speaker 1: a Friend. BISMARKI Yeah was known as a human beatbox,
- 32:44Speaker 1: and in addition to his career as an artist, he
- 32:47Speaker 1: had a notable stint on children's shows and TV sitcoms.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Biz suffered from health problems in his final years. In
- 32:54Speaker 1: April of last year, he was hospitalized due to complications
- 32:58Speaker 1: from type two diabetes. We rest in peace, Bis Marquis.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I worked with him a bunch here, really really nice
- 33:06Speaker 1: gay man. He worked with him a few times. Great brother.
- 33:10Speaker 1: But you know what, he did not want to play
- 33:12Speaker 1: that damn song. He didn't want to sing it just
- 33:15Speaker 1: a friendly really you want to hit? He hitting him?
- 33:18Speaker 1: He played it enough. He wouldn't play it like they're
- 33:22Speaker 1: just a friendly, Like, yeah, IM gonna get them to it. Yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna playing. Yeah. So many tributes to him over
- 33:31Speaker 1: the weekend on social media. You know, everybody talked about
- 33:35Speaker 1: what a big teddy bear love of a guy. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:40Speaker 1: that's all. Yeah. I saw El cool Ja talk about him.
- 33:44Speaker 1: He was tearing up about the spend. Oh yeah yeah
- 33:48Speaker 1: yeah really really kid Free was talking about him. Man,
- 33:52Speaker 1: hey man. He was at at Magic Johnson's twenty fifth
- 33:56Speaker 1: way in the anniversary party that he threw all. Bis
- 34:00Speaker 1: Markey was the DJ, and he DJ for Dougie Fresh
- 34:06Speaker 1: and then l L came up impromptu and did the
- 34:10Speaker 1: coldest thing impromptu I've ever seen, just I've ever seen
- 34:16Speaker 1: on the dock in Santro pay. Yes, the coldest thing
- 34:20Speaker 1: I've ever seen. I said, Wow, this dude is talented man. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 1: very good guy. And Biz was the DJ. That's last
- 34:31Speaker 1: time I saw Biz and Biz did DJ when you
- 34:35Speaker 1: had the crates with them, the albums the whole you know,
- 34:38Speaker 1: waving for from the you know what I mean, yeah,
- 34:42Speaker 1: the final Yeah, he opened for Chris Rock during Chris
- 34:49Speaker 1: Rock's tour. You know, I mean he did some some
- 34:52Speaker 1: much different stuff, you know, and just was so in
- 34:57Speaker 1: demand as that DJ. All the stars wanted him for
- 35:01Speaker 1: their parties and stuff. You know. Yeah, yeah, nobody beats
- 35:07Speaker 1: the bizm And like you said, Shirley bought the humor
- 35:13Speaker 1: you know to hip hop. And even though Jay we
- 35:16Speaker 1: love just a friend, it just that that's a feel
- 35:19Speaker 1: good song. You know, you you can be off singing
- 35:26Speaker 1: in it all loud laugh, Just just a good song,
- 35:31Speaker 1: feel good song. Yeah. Even Bootsy Collins, another legend. Bootsy
- 35:36Speaker 1: Collins tweeted about Bismarkis losing Biz Marquis as you know,
- 35:41Speaker 1: being a legend and everything. So you got old school,
- 35:44Speaker 1: you know, talking about the new school. It's just you know,
- 35:47Speaker 1: he was he touched everyone. Bizmarquis did he touched everyone
- 35:52Speaker 1: he did. Yep again, rest in peace, Bismarquis. All right, Um,
- 35:59Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 36:01Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening show. All right, Steve,
- 36:07Speaker 1: introduce your friend. We got to look into his mind,
- 36:11Speaker 1: dark as it is. He's a bon demented mind of
- 36:17Speaker 1: Jeff and the Brown and it's really dark today. It's
- 36:20Speaker 1: probably I'm not surprised. No. First of all, I like
- 36:24Speaker 1: to think jess Amy and old people who came up
- 36:26Speaker 1: to the art show we did in Columbia, South Carolina,
- 36:28Speaker 1: had a great time, Thank you very much. Now, with
- 36:31Speaker 1: that being said, I am the darkest one on the
- 36:34Speaker 1: show by complexion and just attitude. I really am. But
- 36:40Speaker 1: it's because of the things I like, the things that
- 36:42Speaker 1: bring me joy. That Like if I see a balloon
- 36:47Speaker 1: held by a baby and it float up in the air,
- 36:50Speaker 1: the joy I get from that it's just unbelievable. Just
- 36:56Speaker 1: you can't you can't get the balloon. The balloon is
- 36:59Speaker 1: unretrievable and it just flies up and just so happy,
- 37:03Speaker 1: so happy with that. Oh my god. If I'm driving
- 37:06Speaker 1: on the highway and somebody passes me real fast and
- 37:10Speaker 1: then I get up a little further and I see
- 37:12Speaker 1: that their ass has pulled over. The joy that, the
- 37:17Speaker 1: joy that feels my body from that, Oh my god.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Oh just a little thing, this little thing, Just a
- 37:26Speaker 1: little things, you know, like if the door closes in
- 37:30Speaker 1: somebody's face when I'm on the elevator, Oh, I'm done.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I'm so. You gotta act like you pushing buttons, and
- 37:40Speaker 1: you gotta say it, I'm trying to. I'm trying. You
- 37:42Speaker 1: gotta do all that, you know, but you gotta say
- 37:45Speaker 1: that you're not trying at all. Oh, the joy I
- 37:49Speaker 1: get from your falling seeing somebody fall, there's no age anybody.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. Oh my god. When you fall, now,
- 38:01Speaker 1: I will help you up, but I will help you up.
- 38:06Speaker 1: But when you fall, oh my god, I'm kill It
- 38:11Speaker 1: just fills my spirit. It feels you know what I like,
- 38:16Speaker 1: you know, like if we're in the rainy season, now,
- 38:19Speaker 1: this is so much fun. You see a lot of this.
- 38:21Speaker 1: You gotta drive around and see the bus splash water
- 38:25Speaker 1: on people. Just see that little look on the face like, yeah, yeah,
- 38:32Speaker 1: they got you, they got you. Oh. Oh, and last,
- 38:41Speaker 1: but not least, you're in the airport, you wet your
- 38:44Speaker 1: gate waiting for your flight, and to see somebody run
- 38:48Speaker 1: to the next gate who has missed their flight, you
- 38:52Speaker 1: have go oh my god. You guys. First of all,
- 38:56Speaker 1: you gotta you gotta laugh inside. But you have to
- 39:00Speaker 1: say to that person. You have to to get the
- 39:02Speaker 1: full joy out of it, as you gotta say, did
- 39:05Speaker 1: you miss your flight? You gotta say that. Coming up
- 39:11Speaker 1: at thirty four minutes after the hour, tell us about
- 39:14Speaker 1: that time you dot dot dot Right after this you're

- 39:55Speaker 1: and line the field and then hop the fence and
- 39:57Speaker 1: come back up coming back over. My mom almos on
- 40:00Speaker 1: the other side, but I didn't see her, and I yelled,

- 40:13Speaker 1: was in the free farm, cussing man, and my mom
- 40:17Speaker 1: was on the other side. I just slid back over

- 41:01Speaker 1: I lied to you not he showed up. But you
- 41:04Speaker 1: know what, he came back and and said, I'm the

- 41:11Speaker 1: at my church. That's gonna be I that's the bonded
- 41:15Speaker 1: very well. See I was. I was looking at it
- 41:23Speaker 1: from this right here. You ever have somebody just come
- 41:26Speaker 1: up to you and ask you to tell a story.
- 41:29Speaker 1: But the story was just meant for just them. But
- 41:33Speaker 1: now they're in the group and they want and they

- 43:00Speaker 1: have to split that. And when I heard that, it
- 43:03Speaker 1: didn't register in my mind. It's because I said, okay,
- 43:06Speaker 1: I got that, and I didn't figure out the number
- 43:08Speaker 1: till my ass got outside. I'm like, I don't be damned.
- 43:11Speaker 1: That's a lot of money. That is a lot of money.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I got it. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a
- 43:20Speaker 1: start of it. I tell about the time I went
- 43:26Speaker 1: to court one time. I just want a settlement for
- 43:30Speaker 1: this car accident. The six hundred seventy five a lot

- 43:37Speaker 1: I old like three hundred four hundred to get the
- 43:40Speaker 1: car fixed. And then because an accident, I had to
- 43:43Speaker 1: go to courts. So when I got to settlement a check,
- 43:46Speaker 1: I got six hundred something. And then I got a
- 43:49Speaker 1: speeding ticket in the school zone. And when I got
- 43:54Speaker 1: the court, they charged me the exact amount of money
- 43:57Speaker 1: that I had left sitting there. I went from six
- 44:03Speaker 1: seventy five and nothing. God, all right, thanks guys. Coming

- 45:07Speaker 1: is Keith Keith. How you doing this? Is Lawrence over
- 45:12Speaker 1: at ill funeral Home. Okay. We are the ones that
- 45:17Speaker 1: have the uh doing the funeral for sister Dolores, and
- 45:22Speaker 1: that is uh your my understanding, right yeah okay, And
- 45:29Speaker 1: as you know, the funeral is uh this coming Thursday. Yes,
- 45:34Speaker 1: I'll be that Thursday. I'm giving you a call because
- 45:39Speaker 1: it's been brought to my attention, uh that you were
- 45:44Speaker 1: going to be giving remarks for the funeral. Is that correct? Yes? Absolutely, Okay.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I wanted to call you because we're getting ready to
- 45:54Speaker 1: print the programs for the funeral and let you know
- 45:58Speaker 1: that they have taken you you off for the remarks. Uh,
- 46:03Speaker 1: because they say that you're not going to be hold
- 46:07Speaker 1: on What do you mean taking me off? Well, what
- 46:11Speaker 1: I'm saying is they say that you're you're not going
- 46:13Speaker 1: to abide by the two three minute rule that they
- 46:17Speaker 1: have for remarks, and they wanted they've they've taken you off.
- 46:21Speaker 1: And uh uh who? Who? Who is they? Who? Who?
- 46:25Speaker 1: Who come off? Who? Who? What's your name is? Launch?
- 46:30Speaker 1: I'm Launched, I'm the actual funeral director lord. And who
- 46:34Speaker 1: who told you to take me off? One of the
- 46:38Speaker 1: one of the family members I'm assuming is who who
- 46:42Speaker 1: made the adjustment? And an adjustment that ain't no adjustment,
- 46:46Speaker 1: that's that's changing the whole program? Who else is on
- 46:49Speaker 1: the list? I mean there's quite a few family members
- 46:52Speaker 1: doing different things, uh throughout the funeral. Okay, So how
- 46:57Speaker 1: did you get to my name? Is what I'm trying
- 46:59Speaker 1: to figure out that they said that let listen to me. Listen,
- 47:03Speaker 1: listen to me. Listen to me, brother, keep listen to me.
- 47:06Speaker 1: What they said it is that you weren't going to
- 47:09Speaker 1: abide by the time you weren't going to do your
- 47:13Speaker 1: remarks in three minutes or less. Listen, listen, listen, listen.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Monty raised me. He put me through college. And you
- 47:22Speaker 1: think I'm ben I've Beenna goes there in her funeral
- 47:26Speaker 1: and be under two minutes. Well, well, listen to listen, brother,
- 47:30Speaker 1: keep brother, keep listen to me. Normally, when we have
- 47:33Speaker 1: these funerals, people who give remarks, we have them three
- 47:38Speaker 1: minutes or less. Okay, I'll tell you what. I'll tell
- 47:42Speaker 1: you what, mister lord. Don't list the list. We have
- 47:48Speaker 1: a sealer. Yes, there's a sealer that's singing your name
- 47:53Speaker 1: off the list. Take her off the list and put
- 47:55Speaker 1: me where she supposed to be with my turn, and
- 47:57Speaker 1: her time is Bobby Bobby um, Yes, Bobby Junior is
- 48:06Speaker 1: given remark. That's that's that's Delores'. That's mister Delores's son, right, Yes,
- 48:12Speaker 1: every son, the one that's been locked up. He just
- 48:15Speaker 1: got out of him. The truth be told. He the
- 48:17Speaker 1: one Dawn. Then put her in the coffee. You needn't
- 48:20Speaker 1: take him off the list too. Give me all that time,
- 48:22Speaker 1: because I mean, if I ain gonna take nothing that Keith,
- 48:26Speaker 1: let me let me let me just say this to you.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I cannot take Slaw or Bobby Junior off. I can't
- 48:33Speaker 1: make any alterations to this program unless they say that, actually, sir,
- 48:40Speaker 1: you already you already taking you already taking people name off,
- 48:44Speaker 1: you're taking my name off. But but they they orchestrated
- 48:48Speaker 1: this though, who is they? Who is day? They for
- 48:52Speaker 1: having my whole problem? They try to take me off
- 48:54Speaker 1: my hockey program? Who is date? Sir? I'm not gonna
- 49:00Speaker 1: into a family matter. But until they say that you
- 49:03Speaker 1: can't family matter, sure, I'm not gonna. I don't want to.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I don't want to have this turn out to be bad,
- 49:10Speaker 1: and we want to have a great homegoing for sister Deloyer. Okay,
- 49:14Speaker 1: damn right. And if I don't get to say nothing,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I guarantee you, I guarantee you it's gonna be a
- 49:19Speaker 1: truthful one in there. Somebody else gonna get those and
- 49:22Speaker 1: the call for tooth. I guarantees that if I don't
- 49:25Speaker 1: get to say nothing that my monkey funeral, Monethy didn't
- 49:28Speaker 1: pay for the college, I didn't put six thousand in
- 49:32Speaker 1: the funeral. I bet you, I tell you this. I'll
- 49:35Speaker 1: tell you this, mister Lord. I bet you whether I
- 49:38Speaker 1: don't want the program. I'm not. I'll bet you I
- 49:40Speaker 1: say it with the fool I want to. I'll bet
- 49:42Speaker 1: you that much. You tell Bay that I didn't. He
- 49:48Speaker 1: didn't put me through college. I put money on the funeral.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I called around a few. You ain't putting no money
- 49:54Speaker 1: on the funeral. Tell them they can't be on the program. Man,
- 49:59Speaker 1: keep the they when they decide who who Who's own it?
- 50:04Speaker 1: If they changed the format, then I will call you back.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Who who the is thegue? That's what I'm trying to get.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Get you understand who is back? Can I can? I
- 50:15Speaker 1: tell you something and I don't want you to get
- 50:17Speaker 1: to I raped Okay, ahead, go ahead, go ahead, man,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I just want to say this. Keep with them. This
- 50:25Speaker 1: is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morty Show. You

- 50:35Speaker 1: You bum, I'm Bobby Junior. Up. I'm kicking Bobby. I
- 50:44Speaker 1: know that my pressure is all. I ain't got time
- 50:48Speaker 1: to be playing man taking me on damn program. I'm Bobby.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Bobby's say, y'all grew up black brothers man, and you
- 51:02Speaker 1: was you was basically another son of mister Lord's that's right, Yes, yes,

- 51:44Speaker 1: taking them off? Who's on the What the hell they
- 51:46Speaker 1: doing on that? She singing? Take off? I got her time.
- 51:55Speaker 1: I know where a little bobby ain't on that? Good man.

- 53:58Speaker 1: got it, pall you here it is is the straw
- 54:00Speaker 1: beveryletta subject. This drinking and cussing has to stop. Dear
- 54:05Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, my husband of twenty two years, has made
- 54:08Speaker 1: a lot of changes in the last six months. He's
- 54:11Speaker 1: been in the military since I met him, and he
- 54:14Speaker 1: retired last year, but he still hangs out with his
- 54:17Speaker 1: co workers. He is always cursed like a sailor because
- 54:21Speaker 1: he was a sailor when he was younger. When we
- 54:23Speaker 1: had our first child, I asked him to watch what
- 54:26Speaker 1: he said around our daughter after he slacked up with
- 54:29Speaker 1: using profanity, and he did slack up with using profanity.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Now that he's retired, I think he's frustrated and bored
- 54:37Speaker 1: because he started using strong four letter words and he said,
- 54:41Speaker 1: the kids are old enough to understand. We have a
- 54:43Speaker 1: seventeen year old and a fifteen year old and he
- 54:46Speaker 1: curses at them like they are his age. Not only
- 54:49Speaker 1: do I have to put up with his bad language.
- 54:51Speaker 1: He put a bar in the basement and bought all
- 54:55Speaker 1: brands of alcohol and his former co workers pop up
- 54:58Speaker 1: at our house and they go down stairs and drink
- 55:00Speaker 1: up all of my husband's liquor. He gets very drunk,
- 55:04Speaker 1: and usually he falls asleep in the basement and I
- 55:07Speaker 1: have to usher his friends out. Money is not an
- 55:10Speaker 1: issue with all of the alcohol, but I get tired
- 55:12Speaker 1: of his buddies drinking up his premium liquor and they
- 55:15Speaker 1: don't give him one cent to buy more. I asked
- 55:19Speaker 1: my husband if he's going through something or if this
- 55:21Speaker 1: is a midlife crisis, and he told me that he's fine,
- 55:25Speaker 1: but ready to let his hair down a little because
- 55:27Speaker 1: he's not working anymore. I did not want to spend
- 55:30Speaker 1: my retirement with a drunk, foul mouth man. Here's the
- 55:34Speaker 1: worst part. The last time we were being intimate, he
- 55:37Speaker 1: was drunk and he called me a dirty name, and
- 55:40Speaker 1: he kept cursing so loudly. I was afraid our kids
- 55:43Speaker 1: would hear it. How can I stop him from being
- 55:45Speaker 1: so crude? I need the drinking and cussing to stop. Wow, well,
- 55:51Speaker 1: it doesn't look like it's gonna stop for a while anyway.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It sounds like your husband needs a seriously different kind
- 55:58Speaker 1: of hobby than just being downstairs drinking with his friends.
- 56:02Speaker 1: But he did tell you he wanted to let his
- 56:04Speaker 1: hair down a little bit. Maybe this is not gonna
- 56:07Speaker 1: last forever, but I see you want to cut it
- 56:10Speaker 1: off now, cut it off at the pass before it
- 56:13Speaker 1: gets any worse. He did say, like I said, he
- 56:16Speaker 1: wanted to let his hair down a little because he's
- 56:18Speaker 1: not working anymore. And that's you know, you set it too.
- 56:21Speaker 1: He's bored and frustrated. But he also has to realize
- 56:24Speaker 1: that this is your house too. When you guys do
- 56:26Speaker 1: have kids, he needs to be mindful and respectful of
- 56:29Speaker 1: his influence on them. He was able to curb his
- 56:34Speaker 1: cursing when your daughter was little, so you know he
- 56:36Speaker 1: can change if he wants to. I say, you tell
- 56:40Speaker 1: him you need a break from all the company and
- 56:42Speaker 1: the drinking and the cursing, because he's getting out of control,
- 56:44Speaker 1: and he's drinking way too much, maybe turning into an alcoholic.
- 56:49Speaker 1: You know, let him know he's setting a horrible example
- 56:51Speaker 1: for the kids. He needs to find out something, find
- 56:54Speaker 1: something else to do. Tell him you don't want drunk sex.
- 56:58Speaker 1: You don't want that, and you don't want his old
- 57:00Speaker 1: co workers just popping up at the house. Unannounced. Now
- 57:03Speaker 1: are you mad at that or are you mad at
- 57:05Speaker 1: the fact that they're drinking off all your husband's good liquor,
- 57:09Speaker 1: Because those are kind of two different issues. If they come,
- 57:11Speaker 1: you don't have to answer the door, especially if they
- 57:13Speaker 1: come unannounced, stop letting them in. If they do, just
- 57:17Speaker 1: don't answer the door. And if you do let them in,
- 57:20Speaker 1: hide the liquor. Hide the liquor. All right, that's what
- 57:23Speaker 1: you have to do, Steve. Well, this drinking and cussing
- 57:29Speaker 1: has to stop. I'm gonna just be up front with
- 57:32Speaker 1: you before we start this letter. I might can help
- 57:35Speaker 1: you with your drinking. What are you saying? I don't
- 57:40Speaker 1: want to be hypocritical. I think I can possibly help
- 57:48Speaker 1: you with this cussingm coulor. I know where it comes from. Anyway,
- 57:53Speaker 1: Your husband twenty two have made a lot of changes
- 57:57Speaker 1: in the last six months, been in the middle of
- 58:00Speaker 1: head since you met him. He retired last week, but
- 58:02Speaker 1: he still hangs around with his co workers. Well, he
- 58:05Speaker 1: miss his friends. They they had relationships. You know a
- 58:10Speaker 1: lot of people want to say stopped working. You know,
- 58:12Speaker 1: they missed the camaraderie at work, They missed the relationships
- 58:15Speaker 1: down at the job. They just his dudes, and he
- 58:18Speaker 1: missed them all right, So he's always cuss like a sailor,
- 58:23Speaker 1: and he said that's because he was. But marines cuss,
- 58:27Speaker 1: army people cause, post office workers cuse passed his cuss,
- 58:31Speaker 1: Comedians cuse, radio show host cuss. Shirley cuss. He acts
- 58:35Speaker 1: like she don't, but she probably do all that old
- 58:39Speaker 1: mess right there. Who the hell don't cuss anyway? Anyway,
- 58:42Speaker 1: let's just move on. I'll tell you for show calling
- 58:44Speaker 1: for real. Cus. So, now we had our first child.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I asked him to watch what he said around her daughter,
- 58:50Speaker 1: and he slacked up. Well, now he's retired and he's
- 58:54Speaker 1: frustrating the board because he'd started using full out of
- 58:58Speaker 1: words again. But he slacked up when the baby was young.
- 59:03Speaker 1: But see now you say, we have a seventeen year
- 59:05Speaker 1: old and a fifteen year old and he cusses at
- 59:07Speaker 1: them like they're his age. They probably heard these words before, ma'am. Now,
- 59:12Speaker 1: if if he's not cursing at his daughter, that's a
- 59:17Speaker 1: different thing. You know, cussing at your little girls is
- 59:22Speaker 1: wrong if you're a man. I just think it's wrong.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I do not only do I have to put up
- 59:28Speaker 1: his bad language. He put a bar in the basement.
- 59:29Speaker 1: He bought all brand's alcoholics. Former co workers pop up
- 59:32Speaker 1: at the house and they go downstairs and they drink
- 59:34Speaker 1: up all my husband's liquor. He gets very drunk and
- 59:37Speaker 1: usually falls asleep in the basement, and I have to
- 59:39Speaker 1: USh his friends out. Now, that's that's a little crazy.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Your husband drinking that hard that he fall asleep and
- 59:47Speaker 1: they steal down there. That's a problem. I have a
- 59:50Speaker 1: solution for that, though. When we come back. I asked
- 59:53Speaker 1: my husband if he's going through something in midlife Christis.
- 59:56Speaker 1: He said, he fine, he just read let his head
- 59:58Speaker 1: down a little bit because he working them all. Well,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I got that, but we gotta do something because y'all
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: can't be that old, because the kids ain't but seventeen
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: and fifteen. So now he retired, we gotta come up
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: with something else to do size drinking. I got the
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: restaurant our called back. All right, thank you, Steve. Hang on,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: the drinking and the cussing has to stop. We'll get
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: back into it right after this you're listening to show?
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: The subject this drinking and cussing has to stop. Well,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: here's a deal. Been married twenty two years, he's always
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: cuss He started, he didn't put a bar in the basement,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: and he missed his friends, those relationships. He just started
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: back to cussing again. And now the kids is seventeen
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and fifteen, and you say he cussing at them like
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: that his age. They probably heard all these before. Like
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I said before, as long as he's not cursing at
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the daughter that way, I don't think that's cool at all,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: because it sends a bad example to a young lady
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: that is okay for a man to talk to her
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: that way, and it's not. And as fathers, we have
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to be very very conscious the example that we put
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: in front of our daughters and our sons. But you
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: really don't want a daughter to think that this is
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: acceptable coming from a person who's supposed to love her.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: That's unacceptable, dog, And that you've got to get a
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: grip on that right there. Now, he respected her when
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: she was young, but now that they're older, I got
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: that they're old enough that they've heard this. But you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: can't do that to your daughter, man, I'm telling you,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: it's a dangerous slope. You're creating something in her that
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: she don't need to be. She needs to always look
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: at her father as a protector, somebody she can go
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: to and want to, you know, hold her father in
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: high esteem. He could be losing that. So point that
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: out to him. Tell him. I said that that's cool.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Steve said, you shouldn't do it. A run door, and
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: you shouldn't. And most men agree with me and all,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: and we have daughters on this show. Me and Tommy
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: got daughters, and and that that ain't how we talk,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: all right. Now, he don't put this bar downstairs. And
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: his workers pop up at the house and they go down, says,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: they drink up all your husband's looking. He get drunk,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: fall asleep, and then you got an usher your friends out.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Money ain't an issue with all alcohol. But I get
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: tired his buddy drinking up his premium looking in they
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: don't give him one cent to buy more. So now
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: here's the deal with that. I think the solution is
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: he get a night with his buddies downstairs. Pick the
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: knight that is the night for drinking. And then that
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: makes it once a week or once every two weeks,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: whatever y'all decide. But he gets a night to go
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: down with his ball with his buddies. They can't just
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: pop up. I don't know what y'all running over there.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: This ain't camp, and y'all ain't little kids coming over
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: tomb Hey, we want to play video games and ride
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Joe bike. That ain't what this is. You got a family, dog,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: and you can't have people just popping up at your house.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: That's unacceptable because now you're not only disrespecting your daughter,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you're disrespecting your wife. So now you're asking me if
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: he going through something. He said he ready to tired
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: now and he won't let his head down a little.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I've been told that you can retire from the military
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: as earliers thirty eight. But you've been with him twenty
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: two years, so he must have been in the military
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: for twenty two years. So let's say y'all got married
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: at twenty Let's say twenty twenty two, because the kids
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: is fifteen and seventeen. So let's say he foughty forty
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: four years old. Okay, dog, So you ain't going to
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: do nothing sept drink because you don't retire. You gotta
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: do something else. Dog, you might live another forty fifty years.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: What what this can't be it? You need to get
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: some hobbies. I didn't want to respend my retirement with
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: a drunk fire mouth man. His worst part last time
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: we were being an intimate. He was drunk and he
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: called me a dirty name, and he kept cussing so loud,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: and I was afraid. Our kids were here. Well, they
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: heard it. They heard it. He loud. You know, drunk
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: people don't ever realize how loud they talk. I don't.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I don't know what happened, but I think drinking blocks
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: you'll hear it. That is, for damn, show a symptom
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: of being drunk. I think it blocks you'll hearing. So
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I know he talking about and they heard it. How
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: could I stop him from being so crude? I need
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: the drinking and cussing to stop. First of all, Shirley
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: said it right, you don't have to have drunk sex.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: So you're drinking. We're not having sex. That are cut
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: back on some of the drinking, and if you cuss me,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: it's over. But not once again can help you with
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: the drinking. You know, sex and cussing is kind of
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: you know, let's go together, yeah, kind of kind kind
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: of head and hand. H oh really yeah, I'm just
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: trying to figure out how we're gonna you know, I
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: got we're gonna stop cussing at the kids, or I'm
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: trying to figure out how we're gonna stop this while
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: we having sex. I'm you know, what, what what are
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: we supposed to say? I mean that I don't know
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: substitute words like oh, goody goody. You know you can't
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: it just can't. I don't know what you're supposed to say?
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Why you having it? That replaces all sugar, honey, iced tea. Oh,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I don't know how you replace that with jeepers jeeperson.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: How about he? Oh this is swell, you know say that? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know. I don't. I don't know
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: what we're doing right here, you know, I don't. I
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: don't know how to do that. So once again, I
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: can't help you right there. He needs to stop the drinking.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Knowing you need to have the guys have a night
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: that they can come over and you know they're coming
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: and they leave. Uh. You know you all could also
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: implement where he just put that bart down and then
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: they come just just have a night that you can
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: do it, and then just set one bottle, two bottles out,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: this is what we're drinking, and then that's it. They
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: can be premium, looka but once that's gone, it's over
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: with it. You know, we ain't drinking five six bottles.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: All right, Steve, thank you. Post your comments on today's
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Check out Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up at
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: forty six minutes after the hour. We'll have some sports
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: talk with Steve right after that you're listening to all right,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Steve juniors out. He's celebrating his birthday. You know, his
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: birthday was yesterday and he's out on vacation soon. So
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: I'll take over a little different way to do sports.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: First of all, Happy birthday to my youngest son, went
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: to bryceling r. Lee Harvey. Congratulations my son four. He's
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: doing a three day or weekend birthday bash. I ain't
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: seen his ass. Okay, I was gonna roll out to
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: say happy birthday, but I was four. Worn probably don't
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: want to do that. Oh I did, but I'd rather
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: play golf, so I have birthday to work. All right,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: let's get down to sports. Uh. First of all, congratulations
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: to Jovic who won the woman to men's title. It
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: has now tied the record with Fetter and the and
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: the Dog saw that over the weekend, like to say
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: the boxing match all the night on showtime Cholo whooped
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the boy asked like I knew he would contraglations to
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: that all soul. Congratulations to Mark Cavendish off the Tour
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: de France. See these all the sports I watched. Mark
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Cavendish tied the record for most stage wins in the
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Tour de France, and he didn't break it because he
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: came in second in the sprint down the Schamsy Lay
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: in the last day, which was Sunday or the Tour
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: de Frances. But I like to say congratulations to my
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: friends over in the UAE because their team won the
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: title this year. The Yellow Jersey would not reside in
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: the UAE for a year to Tour de France. Now,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: let's just get out the only thing we really know
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: about the Milwaukee Bucks is up three games to two
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: against the damn Phoenix Suns. I don't know what we're
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: gonna do. They went out to the valley and won
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: the game. I was stunned. They overcame a big league
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: that Phoenix hand. So Phoenix is really I don't know.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I really am pulling for Chris Paul because I love
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the guy. I love his game. But bare the Greek
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: freak ain't nothing to play with. He bought the business
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: and they ain't got no answer for him. So I
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: don't know. And to be honest with you, we ain't
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: on in the radio in Milwalk at all, Phoenix. So
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I really have spent way too much time talking about this,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I really have. We was on in one of them cities.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: We was on. Then you know, I gonna do sports
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: for you. But also I like to send a shout
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: out to this little boy that I meant or effectually
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: call his name Hippo. We got a bet that the
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys, he thinks they're gonna have a better season
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: than the Cleveland Browns. I told him the quick crime,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: and then I told him you can better thousand. But
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I don't thank you. You young ass ain't got a thousand.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: That's Steve. Thank you Steve for sports Okay, we'll be
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: to Steven Show. Well, we all have heard the saying.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: We know they're saying Detroit versus everybody. Okay, well, did
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: you guys see the video this went viral of a
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Detroit woman. Her name was Bianca Chamber. She tracked down
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: her stolen Mercedes via social media and okay, let's go
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: back a bit. What had happened was Bianca was tired
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: of waiting on the police, so she tracked down her
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: stolen bins in a parking lot of a barbershop. She
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: went inside the barbershop and dragged her suspect out by
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: his lots the dreadlocks on his head while other people
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: helped her make a citizen's arrest. Take a listen. Oh
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: my god, yeah, I see Marker. The thief so bold
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: even made a pit stop at the Strip mall where
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Bianca owns a boutique. They was driving. You know, they
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: was having a good time. You know they was smoking.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: But yes, my car was very clean. He even got
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the car detailed. Sources tell Fox to the thief. Now,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: when police constantly has a history of stealing car since
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: he was a team. He's just the dumbest criminal, that's all. Like,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: you're droid riding in my car, like want nobody going
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: to see you? All right? And then wait, there's more, Wait,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: there's more. Come on, take a listen to this. Excuse me?
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: You got that dance out there? Yes, should do. You've
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: been driving around the bar for three days. He's gonna say,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: another mother, they've been driving in my shop. Okay, you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: just can't massa. That's how you do it. I love Detroit, everybody.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I just had a family on family feud this week
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: from Detroit. Boy. I had the best time with the
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Roger Detroit. I told him, I saying, my all the
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: cities I've ever performed in, my all time favorite city
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: to go to on tour was Detroit. I love some
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: damn Detroit. It was my folk up down, can't vote Detroit. Yes,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: she put it on it good, dragged him. Did you
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: see that video? I ain't see the video. She sent
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: me the video I ain't even seen. Yeah, right out
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: the chid and she went right up to him. I
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: loved her boldness. You know, it's like, no, you're not
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: gonna take this from me. This is this on today. Yeah,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: the minute he said yes, he was driving the card,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the assent came from nowhere. You can't go back to
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: that shop, you can't. You know they're still talking about that. Yeah,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: he's remember that time, remember that, Hey dog dog, Let
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: me tell you something. He has to get out of
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the crime business. See, once you get your ass quiff
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: and then go virals, you can't. Still sucks you show
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: out the car business, but you got to get out
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: of crime after this. You got to turn your life
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: over to Christ. This is this is this is that
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: you need to go get saved and use this as
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: a teaching moment testimony. Yeah, because the only way you
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: can get through this embarrassment is turning over into a
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: teaching moment for key for other people. She owned the
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: boutique store. Yeah, yea, so he stole the car from there.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: The handy washer was smoking car. Can we hear that
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: one more time? Do we have the part where he
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: she approached him, excuse me, you got that dance out there? Yes?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Should do? You've been driving around for three days and
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: he's gonna say I bought it for twenty five, Honey,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I said card another mother for that's been driving in
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: my shop. I love a good ass Whooper. Nothing like
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: the good ass Whooper. All right, we'll have more of
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: today's trending stories on the Sea Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: up in twenty minutes after right after this, you're listening
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: morning show. All right, guys, this story out of Tokyo. Well, Tokyo.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: The officials there have installed cardboard beds now and inside
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: of the Olympic village where the athletes will be staying.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Why would you why you know, you might want to ask,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: why install cardboard beds? They need real beds to be comfortable. Well,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: they install the cardboard beds to discourage the athletes from
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: having sex. All right, they thought card You think I
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: can't get it through this cardboard? Think you really think
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I can't? I knew you guys would like this. Take
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: it away. Well, I mean there's two things with this.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: First of all, why is cardboard stopping me? Clearly you
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: must not have known. Well, this is capable of a
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: current at card board. I've been on a pile of
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: clothes in the flow in the basement. Card You got
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: to be crazy. I don't even know why we got
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: to get on this bed. What do you discourage it?
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: We're athletes. Everybody in here is an athlete, right, all
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: these shower poles in here. Me me to show everybody
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: high God. Yeah, because they say they get it in
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: those athletes. So that carboard, Yeah, we can slide around
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: on this cardboard. It's a lot of getting we can
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: do on it. You ain't never no box before. I know,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I ain't the only one. Goody roller tarlet tissue for
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Some sad news to report. Um, case
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: you haven't heard. Hip hop legend Bismarck Key passed away
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Friday night at the age of fifty seven, with his
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: wife Tara Hall by his side. Um. This was after
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: a long fight with complications from diabetes. He was born
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: in Harlem, of course, raised in Long Island, and he
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: got to start as a DJ before he came on
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: the scene in the mid eighties by bringing humor to
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: the rap game. His presence added some much needed comic
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: relief to the genre at the time that prioritized gritty
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: raps about street life, including his biggest hit, Just a Friend.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Bismarquis Yeah, was known as a human beatbox, and in
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: addition to his career as an artist, he had a
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: notable stint on children's shows and TV sitcoms. Biz suffered
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: from health problems in his final years. In April of
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: last year, he was hospitalized due to complications from type
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: two diabetes. We say rest in peace, Bismarquis. That I
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: worked with him a bunch here, really really nice man.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: How he worked with him a few times. Great father though.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: But you know what, he did not want to play
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: that damn song. He didn't want to sing it. Just
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: a friend. Really, you want to hit hitting him? He
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: played it enough. He wouldn't play it like they're just friendly,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: like yea, I'm gonna get onto it. Yeah, I'm gonna playing. Yeah.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: So many tributes to him over the weekend on social media.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: You know, everybody talked about what a big teddy bear
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: love of a guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's all. Yeah.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I saw l J talk about him. He was tearing
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: up about his friend. Yeah yeah really really, kid was
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: talking about him, man, hey man. He was at at
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Magic Johnson's twenty fifth way in the anniversary party that
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: he threw Bis Markey was the DJ, and he DJ
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: for Dougie Fresh and then l L came up impromptu
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: and did the coldest thing impromptu I've ever seen. Just
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I've ever seen it right on a dock in Santrol Peg. Yes,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: the holiest thing I've ever seen. I said, Wow, this
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: dude is talented. Man. Yeah, and Biz was the DJ.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: That's last time I saw Biz and Biz did DJ.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: And when you had the crates would do with the
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: albums the whole you know, waving for from the you
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: know what I mean, yeah, the final Yeah, he opened
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: for Chris Rock during Chris Rock's tour. You know, I
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: mean he did some some much different stuff, you know,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: and just was so in demand as that DJ. All
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: the stars wanted him for their parties and stuff. You know. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: coming up, our last break of the day, Thanks everybody
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: who came out to the Aunt Chill and Colombia. Watch
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: out that. Okay, our last break of the day and
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only our fair
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: this leader, Steve Harvey. At forty nine minutes after right
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: this Monday. Wow, it went by pretty quickly. Huh on
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: a Monday. Don't like Mondays? Yeah, but um here we
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: are wed. Yeah blessing. So Tommy, you're back on the
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: comedy circuit doing your yeah. Yeah. I did Virginia Beach.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I did the Funny Bonus past weekend. So I want
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: to thank all of those that came out gave me
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: six sold out shows. I appreciate it. Nephew came through
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: the end. Did the dog Gone thing? Sure did, And
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I'm back. I'm thinking I'm not gonna miss a month
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: of perform as long as I can keep that damn
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: pandemic down. I promise I'm gonna keep running, stop relations money.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I did just feel good being on stage, Dude, blow
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: the chief. It feels good for a year and a
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: half of What About You Ja and our show Commie
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: South Carolina. I saw I didn't sell a whole lot
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: of art, but I have my art on these jackets
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: and I'm so completely out of all my jackets. So
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: that was pretty good. I'm pretty happy about that. I
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: think that's that is. Are you playing that down? It's cool,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: It's cool. It's cool. My next coming show is I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: don't even know where I'm going coming. You know you're
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: growing somewhere. Yeah, next Jake uh Saint Petersburg, Florida on
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: the twenty first National Guard Armory. Yeah, yeah, so you're
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: performing for the National Guard. I don't know who's gonna
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: be in that bill at the time, but if the mic,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: if it's gonna be at the Armory, ain't at the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you know, some places don't have a venue, so you
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: gotta you know, you know how well they put a
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: mic in some seats and then we'll do it the
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: money right, all right? So I want to stay on
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: this enlightenment path that I've been on of late. With
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: my closing remarks, I want to remind people of something
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: and it's a spiritual message again. But God has a
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: plan for you. He has a design plan for all
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: of us. When we were all created, he had something
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: in mind for us. But now along the way, because
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: we are more special than all the other creatures he created,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: we happen to be the only ones he created that
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: He's given the power of choice too. So you have
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: the choice to align yourself with God's plan or you
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: can go your own way. I am here to tell
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: you that it is always better to go his way.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: One of the things that was hibiting me from going
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: his way was I thought, because of the way I
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: was raised in the church, that I was going to
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: sit at the church seven days a week and go
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: every night and sit there, and I was looking at
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: people who had lives I didn't really aspire to, I
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: didn't really want, and so I was fighting against that.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: But once I lined myself up with his will, his
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: purpose for me was pretty good. His purpose for me
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: was to become what I am today. I didn't know it.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: I thought he wasn't going to allow that because it
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: didn't line up with everything that the church said. For
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: God works in mysterious ways. God has a plan for
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: you that's always better than the one you got, and
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: it would allow you to have a lot of contentment
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: in your life. But the thing about it is, since
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: we have this power of choice, we also have to
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: deal with the enemy, and we got the devil is
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: out there, and the devil got imps that work for
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: him twenty four and seven. But let me share something
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: with you. God's purpose is more powerful than the enemy's plan.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: All of you, every last one of us, has been.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Someone has attempted to stop us, all of us. Someone
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: has attempted to bury us, all of us out here.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: Somebody has attempted to do you wrong, to bring you down,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: to stop you. But God's purpose is more powerful than
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: the enemy's plan. All you got to do is align
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: yourself with God. All you have to do is claim
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: him like he claim you. You got to know who
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: you are, and you got to know whose you are,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: and you've got to just know that and align yourself
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: with that. And then it's nothing that the enemy can
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: do to you. Nothing. I don't care how hard they
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: try to bring you down, what lie they tell about you,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: how they go on tack you on social media. It
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: don't matter what they say about your Oh his show,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: ain't this or his show? Whatn't matter? He ain't this
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: or she ain't that? Oh she ain't this on the radio?
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: She don't hardly do this when they get through. If
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: you are in touch with your creator and you are
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: living the best life you can. And notice I said
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the best life. You can not the perfect life because
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: you're not fitting to live that. You're not fit to
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: live no perfect life, and you're not fitling to live
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: this life sin free. But if you align yourself with God,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: who is aware of the fact that there's none perfect,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: no knot one, he will put you under the protection
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: of his wings. You just got to know who you
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: are and whose you are. And once you line yourself
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: up with your God, with your Creator, with your faith
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: and your purpose, God's purpose is more powerful than the
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: enemy's plan. That's nothing they can do to you. It
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: don't matter what they say or how many times they said.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: If you keep your eye on the prize and you
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: keep your faith in your God, that is nothing, and
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: I mean absolutely nothing they can do about it. I
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: know this for a fact. But you don't have to
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: believe me. It's in his word that he will cover you,
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: that he will protect you, that no weapon formed against
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: you show prosper It's all in there. Align yourself with
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: the Creator and going about your business. And remember God's
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: purpose is more powerful than the enemy's planning. Those are
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: my clothing remarks today, stay with it. Talk to God.
