- 2:02Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You I listened to the voice. Come
- 2:05Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got
- 2:08Speaker 1: a radio shop. Yeah, man, Steve Harvey got a radio shop.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Trying to do something with it too, man. Uh you know, Um,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I was having a conversation the other day with a
- 2:21Speaker 1: young person and they were telling me how they felt
- 2:25Speaker 1: that their life was stuck, that their life was in
- 2:27Speaker 1: a rut, that they didn't know what to do next.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And one of the things that was causing them, uh
- 2:37Speaker 1: this sadness or this depression. I mean, they're really really
- 2:40Speaker 1: into something right now. One of the things that was
- 2:43Speaker 1: causing it, um, was the fact that they had made
- 2:47Speaker 1: a list of things they wanted to accomplish by a
- 2:51Speaker 1: certain age, and UM that age they just had a
- 2:57Speaker 1: birthday recently, and UM they were looking at the list
- 3:03Speaker 1: and the list hadn't been fulfilled. And because that list
- 3:08Speaker 1: hadn't been fulfilled, UM, they were really really sad about it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You know. UM one of the things that they had
- 3:18Speaker 1: on the list was marriage, kids, And I don't know
- 3:24Speaker 1: everything else that was on the list, but that was
- 3:26Speaker 1: one of them. And because she had reached a certain
- 3:30Speaker 1: age and she wasn't married, and she didn't have the kids,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and she had just celebrated her birthday, she's gone into
- 3:37Speaker 1: this uh mode of sadness, whereas really really taking a
- 3:43Speaker 1: toll on and uh as as I was learning about
- 3:47Speaker 1: her situation, I was thinking about it, and I just
- 3:53Speaker 1: wanted to share this with you all this morning that,
- 3:55Speaker 1: UM see, one of the things about taking a list
- 4:00Speaker 1: about what you want, which I happened to be a
- 4:02Speaker 1: proponent of, I do it myself. I have people have
- 4:06Speaker 1: dream boards, I have a gold sheet I have I've
- 4:10Speaker 1: been doing it for years. It's it's a it's a
- 4:12Speaker 1: wonderful way, uh to set goals and to keep it
- 4:15Speaker 1: in front of you as a constant reminder. And I
- 4:18Speaker 1: always go over this goal list every day, you know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: I mean I I go over it all the time
- 4:23Speaker 1: every day. Sometimes I miss a day here and there,
- 4:26Speaker 1: but but mostly every day, I pulled my gold sheet
- 4:29Speaker 1: out and I look at it, I read it. So
- 4:31Speaker 1: I was going to these rallies, and I was learning about,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know, people who were successful in how they kept
- 4:37Speaker 1: their mind writing positive. And one of the things I
- 4:39Speaker 1: learned was to make these dream boards, these lists, these
- 4:42Speaker 1: gold sheets and um and making a gold sheet and
- 4:47Speaker 1: you make the sheet according to what you want. Think
- 4:52Speaker 1: about one thing when you made your gold sheet, about
- 4:54Speaker 1: what you wanted? Does your goal sheet have on it?
- 4:58Speaker 1: What God wants from you? Did you ask in any
- 5:02Speaker 1: of this what was His will in your life? You know? Look, man,
- 5:07Speaker 1: what we want oftentimes is not what He wants for us.
- 5:12Speaker 1: And you know, if if you're fighting against what you
- 5:15Speaker 1: were created for, if you're fighting against his will, I mean,
- 5:20Speaker 1: what do you want to happen? See? Don't be so
- 5:23Speaker 1: hard on yourself when you look at your goal sheet
- 5:26Speaker 1: and you look at what you've not become what you
- 5:29Speaker 1: thought was a great idea. Don't be so hard on
- 5:31Speaker 1: yourself because you just made a minded mistake, as do
- 5:34Speaker 1: most people. We oftentimes make our goals and set our
- 5:38Speaker 1: goals up without ever considering what is it that God
- 5:41Speaker 1: wants from us, what's in his will? What's his plan
- 5:44Speaker 1: for us? You know, I was talking to some people
- 5:46Speaker 1: the other day and we were laughing about our shared
- 5:48Speaker 1: just the other day. If you want to make God laugh,
- 5:53Speaker 1: tell him your plan. How may it really? If you
- 5:56Speaker 1: really want to crack God up, tell him your plan. See,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and that's what we do. We make our plans without
- 6:03Speaker 1: including God. But listen to me. Don't be so hard
- 6:06Speaker 1: on yourself. Don't be so down and out about it
- 6:09Speaker 1: when you look at your gold sheet and you haven't
- 6:11Speaker 1: accomplished the things you wanted to accomplish. You just made
- 6:15Speaker 1: a mind of mistake, that's all, and you can correct it.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You just made a mistake that most people make. We
- 6:21Speaker 1: keep talking about what we want without ever finding out
- 6:24Speaker 1: or knowing what it is God wants for us. Well,
- 6:27Speaker 1: guess what, man, Maybe you're fighting against the grain. Maybe
- 6:30Speaker 1: you're just a salmon heading upstream. That's a tough fight upstream.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Not all salmons get up to the spawning grounds, you know,
- 6:37Speaker 1: some of them don't make it upstream, you know. But
- 6:39Speaker 1: all of them, nearly all of them except the ones
- 6:42Speaker 1: that's killed by pray. When they're spawned, they go out
- 6:45Speaker 1: to the ocean. That's cool, because you're going because you're
- 6:47Speaker 1: going with the grain. You're going downstream, you're going with
- 6:51Speaker 1: the flow. That's but but when it's time to go
- 6:54Speaker 1: against the grain, it's tough. And a lot of us
- 6:57Speaker 1: have just been going against the grain for all of
- 6:59Speaker 1: these years. But you know what, listen, man, I did it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I know a lot of people who did it. Very
- 7:05Speaker 1: few people get it right from the very beginning. Man,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you got to stumble through life sometimes sometimes you got
- 7:12Speaker 1: to fall through life. You gotta make a lot of mistakes, man,
- 7:16Speaker 1: But these mistakes are not failures. You know, when you
- 7:18Speaker 1: fail at something, don't look at it as a failure.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You don't look at yourself as a failure. Because you're
- 7:23Speaker 1: thirty and you and your goals ain't reach that you
- 7:25Speaker 1: had on your list. That was your list. What about
- 7:29Speaker 1: the things that's going right? Stop looking at what you're not,
- 7:33Speaker 1: Take some time out and thank God for what you are.
- 7:35Speaker 1: How about the fact that you keep waking up to
- 7:38Speaker 1: be thirty? You know, you get depressed about these birthdays.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You really want to throw yourself in some depression. Miss
- 7:43Speaker 1: a birthday, You really got a problem. Now, look at
- 7:46Speaker 1: where you are. You keep reaching birthdays. That's a glorious blessing.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You keep waking up. You got your health, You've accomplished something.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Something on your list is done. People spend too much
- 7:58Speaker 1: time on the negative side, and you're just throwing yourself
- 8:01Speaker 1: into depression. So what, you want to be married by
- 8:04Speaker 1: a certain age and you wanted to have kids. Okay, cool,
- 8:07Speaker 1: you could have done all that with the wrong person.
- 8:09Speaker 1: There's a blessing in not being married to the wrong person.
- 8:13Speaker 1: There's a blessing in not having kids and nobody to
- 8:15Speaker 1: help you raise it. There's a blessing in that man.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You're talking to somebody who can tell it to you.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You can marry the wrong person if you want to.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you you're gonna be up in some mess
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can't count on. So instead of being angry because
- 8:29Speaker 1: you're not married you don't have kids, why don't you
- 8:31Speaker 1: thank God the man. Maybe he spared you from some
- 8:33Speaker 1: misery here. Maybe you could have married the wrong person.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Maybe you have kids and you're not really ready to
- 8:38Speaker 1: be a mother or a father. You gotta look at
- 8:40Speaker 1: the upside man, Quit looking at what you don't have.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Take some time to thank God for what you do have.
- 8:46Speaker 1: When you do that, you make more room for blessings
- 8:49Speaker 1: to flow into your life. I'm not saying how God thinks,
- 8:52Speaker 1: because I really don't know, but I'm telling you, if
- 8:57Speaker 1: a person comes to me and always give a person
- 8:59Speaker 1: something and they never appear grateful, or they never say
- 9:02Speaker 1: thank you, please, no, you can quit coming to me. Now.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I don't know that's how God works, because I've gone
- 9:10Speaker 1: back to him several times without being grateful of thanking him,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and he's feeling my basket up again. So I really
- 9:17Speaker 1: think he's not like that. But I can't make the
- 9:19Speaker 1: call for sure, But I think at one point in time, me,
- 9:24Speaker 1: just just me talking, i'd be a little ticked off
- 9:27Speaker 1: at somebody who was always taken, taking, taking, and never
- 9:31Speaker 1: showing any gratitude. At one point in time, I would
- 9:33Speaker 1: just stop the flow of the take. You know, you
- 9:37Speaker 1: just you can't take no more from me. That's what
- 9:39Speaker 1: I would do. Now. I'm not calling it like that
- 9:42Speaker 1: because I ain't him, but I know he's merciful, He's
- 9:45Speaker 1: full of goodness and here and then and he will
- 9:47Speaker 1: forgive you. I got and and thank god he does
- 9:49Speaker 1: that because He's shown enough done it for me. But wow, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: take some time out today and be grateful for what
- 9:54Speaker 1: you have. Stop complaining about where you're not, and think
- 9:57Speaker 1: about where you are, and then take takeet from there.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And then next time you make a list, make sure
- 10:03Speaker 1: on that list you have God's will. What does he
- 10:06Speaker 1: want for you? God create guilt. Everybody a gift and
- 10:09Speaker 1: a talent. Some of us never apply gifts and talents.
- 10:12Speaker 1: We head off in another direction. Then you wonder why
- 10:15Speaker 1: your life ain't well supposed to be. Have you ever
- 10:17Speaker 1: thought about what God gifted you to do? Have you
- 10:20Speaker 1: ever thought about doing that? And still skip what you want?
- 10:22Speaker 1: I wanted to play in the NBA, But I gotta
- 10:24Speaker 1: tell you something at dribbling and shooting and running all
- 10:28Speaker 1: at one time was throwing me off a little bit.
- 10:31Speaker 1: You know, they just so I'm doing what I do. Okay,
- 10:35Speaker 1: we come back, man, I'm gonna tell you right now. Today,
- 10:39Speaker 1: on today, more ignorant than usual. Yeah, yeah, today, man,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I wish I had a radio. You're ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:54Speaker 1: boys and girls, away when we started, So ladies and
- 11:00Speaker 1: gins and girls, people from all around, Well, who's happening? Listen?

- 11:10Speaker 1: taking about me, his aunt ego Pippy, and I just
- 11:14Speaker 1: wanted to say, what's happening there everybody? And the only
- 11:16Speaker 1: way to really start the showing had just started with

- 18:16Speaker 1: on them. You know that way, you know, you know,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know a piece of pimp and last forever. So
- 18:24Speaker 1: I collect, you know, all the canes from all my

- 18:41Speaker 1: see them see them swim? What about the nuther ring
- 18:45Speaker 1: toss that you always had? When you take that's really
- 18:48Speaker 1: that's one of my favorite things. You know, when I
- 18:50Speaker 1: take off a nugget ring and toss it in the crowd,
- 18:53Speaker 1: and whoever catch it gonna be the next pimp. I
- 18:57Speaker 1: want to be in. As I write, Junior, you ain't
- 19:00Speaker 1: want to be in that down because you got devoyance.
- 19:02Speaker 1: They already got devoyance. You're natural. You could have been.
- 19:06Speaker 1: You could have you're just going to come on down
- 19:08Speaker 1: the pimpology. You could gonna be something, make something at
- 19:11Speaker 1: yourself now I had. Hey, hey, listen to me. I
- 19:15Speaker 1: got a smooth idea for your first suit, Junior. Let
- 19:20Speaker 1: me hear pimple. I'm gonna make you a suit that's
- 19:24Speaker 1: black and they're gonna have red quarter moons on over it. Okay,
- 19:33Speaker 1: So what's my pimple? Ain't gonna be sickle? And to
- 19:41Speaker 1: make it sounds set to your pimp name gonna be
- 19:44Speaker 1: Pop Sickle. That's cool, that's cool, and them a little
- 19:48Speaker 1: red quarter shape things that's sick of seal yeah, on
- 19:54Speaker 1: the on the suit. So now you so now your
- 19:58Speaker 1: your pimp name is Pops Sickle and all your suits
- 20:02Speaker 1: got that on that to bring about a windness? Can
- 20:05Speaker 1: you feel that? I mean it one a better way
- 20:08Speaker 1: to bring about the wind than the wind on your sleeve.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And you're looking at and you're still looking good. You
- 20:15Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Now, what Jay gonna do is
- 20:18Speaker 1: in Jay's suit. Yeah, I'm gonna make your soup go
- 20:23Speaker 1: and you're gonna have slices of cake on Why. Hey,
- 20:30Speaker 1: I got the perfect pimp name for you die hog. Yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 1: because the shoff for diabetes. But you die hug and
- 20:42Speaker 1: you're still leaving cake pop and die hard Daddy, die Hug.
- 20:50Speaker 1: What about Timmy, Timmy, Timmy Timmy. Okay, your suit gonna

- 22:37Speaker 1: come in at work. UM. I am in a suite.
- 22:40Speaker 1: UM it's rather small in here, but if you are
- 22:44Speaker 1: interested in coming in working, I would really like to
- 22:46Speaker 1: have someone come in and work with me. That would
- 22:47Speaker 1: be nice. Can I ask you a question? I'm what's
- 22:50Speaker 1: your background? What do you do at Well? Actually, I've
- 22:54Speaker 1: just moved here to d C. I was actually living
- 22:56Speaker 1: in the Los Angeles area, and you know, I've been
- 23:00Speaker 1: doing hair there for the last probably fifteen twenty years.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I've been doing hair, uh definitely licensed. You know, I
- 23:07Speaker 1: just moved here, but I've been doing here care for
- 23:10Speaker 1: quite a long time. I specialized and only doing females
- 23:13Speaker 1: hair and um, you know, just looking to get into
- 23:15Speaker 1: d C and get back to work, and I really
- 23:18Speaker 1: want to find a place where I can do some
- 23:20Speaker 1: hair and and you know it's gonna take me a
- 23:22Speaker 1: minute to get some clientele built up. But you know,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I know my work is good. Okay, Well, um, I
- 23:27Speaker 1: am in a high traffic area and I think this
- 23:29Speaker 1: would be a great area for you just coming in
- 23:32Speaker 1: from another state, especially California. Um, is it possibly you
- 23:37Speaker 1: can come in and take a look and see what
- 23:40Speaker 1: you can You know, I'd love I'd love to come
- 23:42Speaker 1: in and take a look and see what I don't do.
- 23:43Speaker 1: The type of work environment you have, and so I'm
- 23:46Speaker 1: I'm understanding that a lot of people that do hair
- 23:49Speaker 1: and have different rooms. Is that how this setup is? Yes,
- 23:52Speaker 1: that's how it's set up. However, do you actually have
- 23:55Speaker 1: you actually have a sweet? I do have a sweet.
- 23:57Speaker 1: It's a double sweet. So there is room for another technician. Um.
- 24:01Speaker 1: But you know, with it being such close quarters, you know,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you gotta got to kind of get a feel for
- 24:05Speaker 1: the person that's going to come in and work for you.
- 24:06Speaker 1: So right right, becau's gonna be working real close to
- 24:09Speaker 1: each other. I understand. You know, if we kind of
- 24:11Speaker 1: meet each other, you know, we can get a field
- 24:12Speaker 1: for each other and see if sat working. Let me
- 24:14Speaker 1: ask you something. Have you have you had a PHS?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Have you worked around a PHS person before? I'm sorry,
- 24:20Speaker 1: who a PHS. Have you worked around I mean, that's
- 24:23Speaker 1: that's pretty much what I do. Have you worked around
- 24:25Speaker 1: a PHS. I'm that I'm not familiar with that term.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Is that a California term? I don't with PHS? Is uh,
- 24:35Speaker 1: private hair specialists? Have you worked with a private hair
- 24:37Speaker 1: especialist before? Um? Well, I would consider myself private being
- 24:41Speaker 1: so I'm in a suite, but uh, where you would
- 24:44Speaker 1: be working out and open with myself. So I don't
- 24:46Speaker 1: know how private you would be. Oh no, no, no, no, no,
- 24:49Speaker 1: you're you're not. You don't understand where it's coming from.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I'm a PHS. Okay, private hair specialists, And what that
- 24:56Speaker 1: is is I I do women's I have it hair
- 25:00Speaker 1: like if they want removal from under their arm or
- 25:03Speaker 1: their chin or you know. But most of my work
- 25:06Speaker 1: actually resides in the bikini line. Uh. You know, I'm
- 25:10Speaker 1: an artist, so I've known to put your name there.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I can die of different color mohawk, landing strip you know.

- 25:37Speaker 1: continue to get this wrong. Shane Leon Okay, I'm sorry.
- 25:41Speaker 1: What was the name your mom gave you? Because my

- 25:51Speaker 1: the open with myself and my clients who are accustomed
- 25:54Speaker 1: to having a professional setting. Um, and I don't think
- 25:57Speaker 1: it would be appropriate for you to have someone come
- 26:00Speaker 1: in and have a landing strip, airport, a plane, their
- 26:04Speaker 1: baby daddy's name. Put I don't, I don't, or whatever
- 26:07Speaker 1: you do, that's not what we're about here. Are you

- 26:31Speaker 1: then this is what we do when you could come
- 26:32Speaker 1: here and you could do that. Well, I'm thinking that
- 26:34Speaker 1: you would be open for something new. Why would you
- 26:37Speaker 1: think that I'll be open for that? Who who told
- 26:39Speaker 1: you that? I mean home? You came all the way
- 26:44Speaker 1: from California and you called me. You're not coming to
- 26:47Speaker 1: my salon to call your name anybody else's name, and

- 55:12Speaker 1: million dollars. That's half a billion dollars, guys, almost Uh.
- 55:16Speaker 1: The new owner of the painting wasn't initially revealed. During
- 55:20Speaker 1: the auction at Christie's, there were audible gasps million dollars
- 55:28Speaker 1: as the price of you. I don't, I don't steal,
- 55:32Speaker 1: but really the price rose by tens of millions of
- 55:41Speaker 1: dollars to two five million, then by five million dollar increments,
- 55:45Speaker 1: and then by twos before the high bidder finally one out.
- 55:50Speaker 1: At one point, when a potential buyer considered another bid,
- 55:53Speaker 1: the auctioneer uh noted, it's a historic moment. Will wait.
- 55:57Speaker 1: The painting depicts you got did you see it? And
- 56:00Speaker 1: it's the picture of Jesus with his right hand raised
- 56:03Speaker 1: and holding a crystal orb in his left hand. In
- 56:06Speaker 1: his lifetime, he never sold, He never made near the
- 56:10Speaker 1: money you made. Yeah, and his entire life. Let me
- 56:14Speaker 1: explain something to you. What I buy a picture of
- 56:18Speaker 1: Jesus with your right hand up for four d million?
- 56:22Speaker 1: He would have to be waving me into heaven. You're
- 56:28Speaker 1: not an art lover and art cound of stories. I
- 56:30Speaker 1: ain't nothing. Let me but let me tell you what

- 57:29Speaker 1: rid of my We have to get to the letter.
- 57:31Speaker 1: I'm not gonna listen to this foolishness girl. After that,
- 57:37Speaker 1: Tommy introduced the letter. Okay, buckle up along tight. Here
- 57:44Speaker 1: it is strawberry letter, subject cheating boyfriend Steve. I want
- 57:51Speaker 1: your advice. My boyfriend and I have been a relationship
- 57:53Speaker 1: for six years. He started cheating on me three years ago.
- 57:57Speaker 1: He had a child with that girl, and now now
- 58:00Speaker 1: he's cheating again. His mother stopped talking to me because
- 58:03Speaker 1: she thought I was trying to take her son from her.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I wrote him a letter a while back telling him
- 58:08Speaker 1: that I need him to be a man and um
- 58:12Speaker 1: that I can rely on the man that I need
- 58:14Speaker 1: to head our household, and the only way that can
- 58:16Speaker 1: happen is if you stop allowing his mother to control
- 58:19Speaker 1: him and our relationship as well. His mother read the letter,
- 58:22Speaker 1: and since then, his mother has been out to get me.
- 58:25Speaker 1: She's told millions of lies on me. She's encouraged him
- 58:29Speaker 1: to bring the girl home even when she knew we
- 58:32Speaker 1: were still together. She even told me to stay away
- 58:34Speaker 1: from her son and stopped coming between him and the girl.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Now he's telling me he wants to marry me, but
- 58:39Speaker 1: he's just not ready for it, making excuses about work
- 58:42Speaker 1: and money and different stuff. Now, I've been with him
- 58:45Speaker 1: through thick and thin, despite the fact that everyone's advice
- 58:49Speaker 1: to me is to leave him. I'm seeking your advice,
- 58:52Speaker 1: advice from a man with no interest of gaining Now
- 58:55Speaker 1: I've been hearing rumors that he's been telling people that
- 58:58Speaker 1: I'm running him down, when this is not true. There
- 59:01Speaker 1: were a couple of times when I tried ending it
- 59:03Speaker 1: and he asked me back, what should I believe? I'm
- 59:06Speaker 1: so confused. I'm confused too with this entire letter. I'm
- 59:11Speaker 1: confused while you're still in this relationship, That's what I'm
- 59:15Speaker 1: confused about. And where is this relationship going six years.
- 59:19Speaker 1: You've been in this and you've been through cheating that
- 59:21Speaker 1: resulted in a baby. Now you say he's cheating again.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I just got to ask you, why are you letting
- 59:27Speaker 1: this man treat you like this? He's doing whatever he
- 59:29Speaker 1: wants to do and you've just been there taking it
- 59:31Speaker 1: for the last six years. I mean, don't you see
- 59:34Speaker 1: that he his mother is not the problem here. Uh? Really,
- 59:40Speaker 1: his mother is doing you a favor. You should take
- 59:42Speaker 1: her advice. Get out of this relationship with this man, period,
- 59:46Speaker 1: Steve well Man, Um, this to me is a clear
- 59:52Speaker 1: cut letter about a mama's boy. This is a letter
- 59:57Speaker 1: about a mama's boy that you falling in love with
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: and it's not working. Uh, you say, Steve, I want
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: your advice. Ya Um, you know you want to advice
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: from somebody. Uh that's no interest in gaining it. Yeah, okay,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: So here it is. First of all, you've been in
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: a relationship like Shirley Safe for six years. Where is
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: this going? Secondly, he started cheating on you three years ago,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he had a child with that girl, and now he's
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: cheating again. Uh, what is this relationship that you all have? Well?
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: What is it called? What? What title? Do you have
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: from it? You know, I don't. I don't know what
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you call this right here, you're in a relationship he's not.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: See lady ladies missed that. Sometimes sometimes you're in a
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: more of a committed relationship than the guy is. Sometimes
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: just sometimes, you know, and then sometimes things happen. I'll
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: just tell your goals both ways, so you know you
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: could have that. Um then, uh, you thought that you
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: had a problem with her mama because she's trying to
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: take you're trying to take her son from her. That's
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: a mama's boy. I wrote him a letter while back
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: telling to him that here's the problem in your letter,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I need him to be a man. Well, if he
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: don't want to be a man, you're needing someone to
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: be a man who don't want to be a man yet,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: or it's not a man yet, you know, maybe he's
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: just not developed there yet. Then you say someone you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: can rely on, the man that I need to head
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: our household. Well, let me tell you what happens. Even
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: if you marry this boy right now, this mama's boy,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he's not gonna head the household. His mother is gonna
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: be the head of y'all's household. And you can ask
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: any woman that's married to a mama's boy if that
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: ain't how it works. So what you're really asking this
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: boy to do is be a man he's not read
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: it to be. And then you want him to head
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: up you all's household because that's your dream one day
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: of having a man to head up the household. But
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: if you marry mama's boy, the mother is actually gonna
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: become the head of your household, and you're gonna be
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: forever pissed at him and her, and your life is
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: gonna be a miserable situation. I give you more when
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: we come back. But in this letter, you say, now
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: he's telling me that he wants to marry me, but
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: he's just not ready for it, making excuses about work
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: and money and different stuff. Okay, I think you have
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: your own answer right here, but I give you more
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: when we come back. Part two of Steve's responds coming
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: up at twenty three after the hour. We'll be back.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show coming up in about
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: twenty minutes. It's bad acting theater with the chapman. So fine.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: We'll say this though, and I don't mean to hurt
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: nobody's feeling on the show. But for four million, I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: would race you all completely out of memory, I swear
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to God. I never I don't know. You would be
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: a Kodak memory, not even you, not even Kodak. And
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: surely who Carla who went you'd be an eight track?
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I beat him when he got hypnottazed. You do not
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: know I went on the following your names, I call
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: your name. Stop? You got me? All right? Come on, Steve,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: with part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter. Uh,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: this woman writes his letter entitled cheating boyfriend. Well, use
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: cheating boyfriend, and it's a mama's boy. You got a
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: couple of problems. Your man is cheating on that's a problem,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: and he's a mama's boy, which I can't even tell
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you the problems is gonna lead into. But you're already
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: running into him. She's spreading rumors about you. She read
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: your letter that you read to him. Most mothers, if
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: a woman writes a letter to her son that's private information,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: she won't read it. She reads it and then starts
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: taking matters into her own hands. Got the other girl
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: coming over to the house telling you to stay out
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: of their way or the other boy and the other girl.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: So not a mama know he's cheating, she's condoning it.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: He ain't stopping. He's doing everything but stopping cheating. There's
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: nothing in your letter says that. Then you get to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: this part where he says, now he's telling me that
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: he wants to marry me, but he's not ready for it,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: making excuses about work and money and different stuff. Excuse me,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: you're gonna marry a man who ain't working, who makes
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: excuses about working. Look, I got if a guy been
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: in trouble and he got a felony record and it's
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: hard for him to find work. But this door is
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: making excuses for not working. He ain't got no money
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: and undifferent stuff. Ain't no telling what else the excuses
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: are coming in. He says he wants to marry you.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: If you marry this boy right here, you're going to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: make a huge mistake with your life. One of the
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: number one problems for women. This next line. Now, I've
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: been with him through thick and thin. Despite that, everyone
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: advises me to leave him. See your problem is now
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you've got this six years invested, and women always do that.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: You always you always look. One of your biggest mistakes
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: is you've put this time in and you don't want
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: to consider it a waste. Well, let me turn you
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: onto something. The real waste is to continue what you
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: know is not good for you. See, Okay, Look, everybody
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: makes mistakes. So you put six years in thinking it
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: was gonna turn around and it didn't. That's a mistake.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: A lot of people make that. Who hasn't done it?
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I've done it. Everybody has done it. But once you
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: realize something is not good for you after a baby,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: once you realize when you've gotten all the evidency in
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: and the change that you're waiting on never comes and
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: you continue to stay in it, that from that moment
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: on is when you're wasting time. Right, So do not
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: continue to waste time now that you know it's bad
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: for you. Get out the ladies spreading rumors, telling people,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: and then you start hearing rumors that he's telling people
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: that I'm running him down. This is not true. Why
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: is he talking to other people about you? What kind
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: of no man does this? None of my friends come
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: to me talking about how their wives ain't this or
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: that that. Real men just don't do that. With they boys. Man,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I'm struggling, man, my girl tripping. Man, she she found
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: this on me or something like that. We'll say that,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: but what we ain't gonna say is my girl ain't
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: this mich We don't go that to our friends. Hey, man,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you need to get away from this because this man
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: ain't ready. You said he's not ready. He's not ready.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: He's a mama's boy. He ain't working, he don't want
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: to be a man. He got alright, Steve, we gotta go.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: You know that. Email us or Instagram as your thoughts
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: on today's strawberry letter at my girls surely switching gears. Now.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: It is the season, you know that, for festive dinners,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: parties and all those holiday desserts. And it's so easy
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: to overdo it. We all know that. So here are
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: some tips for enjoying, eating and drinking, enjoying your way
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: through the holidays without guilt or without stress. Okay, in moderation,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: here we go. Don't make anything off limits, all right,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: anything you don't think I say that? Right? Yeah, don't
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: eat anything off limits, you know, eat anything off don't
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: make anything off limits. Don't make any anything if you
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: want to enjoy, Yeah, yeah, because as soon as you
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: put something you know on the can't have list, it's
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: instantly that much more appealing when somebody says no, you
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: always want that, you know. Alright, So don't go to
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: a holiday Yeah, don't go to a holiday party, guys,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: or a dinner on an empty stomach, because you'll be
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: everything Like like I was eating at peach cobbler at
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Tommy's party. Oh you did. You didn't know it, but
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: you did. I was a party. Oh all right, have
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: a snack there, saying saying, have a snack before you go,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: because it's just not a good idea to save up
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: all day by not eating much, so you can have
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: calories at the event later that night, okay, and then
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: decide what you really want to indulge in. So when
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: you go to a party, walk around the table first,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: check everything out, you know, the food and the drinks.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Before you know you fix your plate. I knew it.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I walk around the table and put everything oh my
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: plate and decide what I can't eat. I'll tell you
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: one way where you won't eat anything. Go to a
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: quanza party. Ain't a damn thing that to eat nothing.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I've never been through thein't missed nothing. They don't have food.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Oh my god, no, they branches, twigs and berries and
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: bart and you're not gonna stay long, he to trust me,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: that's a good eat. Don't celebrate. Man, we went to
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: a quanza party. He was off the shange. Can't wait.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: I can't wait to make you. This got to be fifty,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: maybe fifty or sixty years old. It might be younger
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: than that, Tommy, Okay, all right, thank you, all right.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Coming up at forty one after the our bad Acting Theater,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: The Chapman's. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: what's up, everybody? Welcome to another episode of The Chapman's.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Written by that guy, Thank you, thank You, narrated by me.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Well okay, that's me with them, thank you, thank you,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: thank you, and last but not least starring him. So
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you just trying to say him is me? No, Steve,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: let me go over this again. It's written by that guy,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: narrated by me, starring them, and last but not least
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: starring you. Who is him? This is by far, this
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: is just right here. Listen, this is by far the
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: stupidest thing I've ever been a party and that's coming
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: from me. No, Steve, You've got it all wrong. You
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: is him? Me? Is me? Stop talk like that? Stop
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: you me? How you talk? Just stop? Sounds like somebody
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: needs a Snickers bar, and surely it's not me. Come on,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: give it to me. I'm sick of at two. I'm
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: really sick of that. Right there. It's come to my
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: understanding that, due to technical difficulties, last week's episode was
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: interrupted so that everyone is caught up. Uh we we
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: would like to replay last week's episode in its entirety.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: We would like to, but we're not gonna do it.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: So let's pick up where we left off. Chester was

- 1:11:51Speaker 1: feels so good to say. Come on, Ramo, let's go.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Junior was really messing up, and you was really messing
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: up the script. Brother back. I want my brother bag
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: brother bag brother back, brother back, brother back, brother back
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: still too soon. I think I was pretty hard on

- 1:12:20Speaker 1: chopped about pretty bad, man, I chopped about you know what,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: I do feel like a ween let you know I did,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: and KAK had a serious problem with officer touch it
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: all right, all right, let me make this announcement right here,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: right now. I don't want to heal another touch it joke,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: touch this, touch that. I don't want nobody touching nothing
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: on this show. Don't even touch yourselves or what I'm
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: gonna do. I'm gonna touch you don't know. I'm walk
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: out by by just kidding, just kidding, just kidding, I'm
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: just kidding. Now, let's see how KK solves this officer
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you know who problem. I'm still feeling kind of woozy
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: from the accident, but I'm having a serious problem with
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: officer you know who. I wonder if you could pull
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: some strings to help me because I can't do no
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: jail time. Well, I'll tell you what I'll give. Officer
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you know who are called. Don't worry about that. This

- 1:14:03Speaker 1: the King h A k A KK my sister in law,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: my my sister, Oh oh, I thought she had a
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: job down at the law. Okay, I see it now.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: My sister in law called the king a K A
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: k K. Man, she doesn't make better sit down because
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: she was gonna have to be l k K and
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: that one's will make no Oh I l O K

- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I'm officer, you know who, the Erican Police Department, and
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I don't know fot. I ain't nobody to tell me
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: what to do. Okay, okay, he has to be dead.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: He's deader than Kevin Spacey's career right now, I'm all right,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: that's pretty bad. That's pretty bad. One of my characters,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: steal Chester, though, I guess my cop is so faint.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: All right. That was episode four of season two of
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: five five. Alright, I know we're gonna get canceled. Nephew Chester,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I want to cancel it now. All right? Did did
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: you guys see Terry Crews on Good Morning America. We'll
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: talk about that at the top of the hour. Wow,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Terry Crews
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: went on Good Morning America to publicly name the person
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: who allegedly sexually assaulted him back in two thousand sixteen.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: This was just last year. William Morris Agency executive Adam
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Vennett groped him at a party in February of last year.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: This is according to Terry crews. He comes over to me.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I stick my hand out and he literally takes my
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: hand and puts it and squeezes my genitals. I jumped back,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: like hey, hey, And then Terry credits his wife for
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: calling him down and resisting the urge, for calming him
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: down and resisting the urge to respond violently. Take a listen.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: When I looked at him, it was rage. And when
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I say rage, I felt like I could punch a
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: hole in his head. Okay, but this is the deal.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: My wife told me three years earlier. She said, Terry,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: you could never handle any situation like this with a violence.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: You are a target. You can be gonna be bated
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: and pulled if you react physically. And let me tell
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: you something, I've done it before. But this is the deal.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: When when I grabbed her hand and I left that party,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: we were only there for like a half an hour,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: and I got in a car, I almost ripped the
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: steering wheel off, and she just kept saying, I'm proud
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: of you, I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: and I just said, man, calmed. She calmed down. She
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: calmed me down because she was the one who told
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: me that this kind of thing would happen, and that
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: you could be bait. And this is the thing. If
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I would have just retaliated in defense, I would be
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: under the jail right now. And that's one thing I
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: knew that being a large African American man in America,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I would immediately be seen as a thug. But I'm
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: not a thug. What he's saying is absolutely Let me
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: tell you what my wife wold have been saying in
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the car. I am so ashamed of Why did you
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: do that? What were you thinking? Steve? What did I
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: tell you three years ago? You don't listen to nobody.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: You know they're gonna pick you up tonight, don't you.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Cruise is right, Yeah, everyone handles every situation differently. I
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: mean here he did the right thing for hearing him
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: say it. Terry Cruise is a man's man. Terry Cruise
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: man really big. He can hurt you if he want to.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Beautiful Rife Rebecca, love her, she's so fly and so see.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: And so I understand where he's coming from, because what
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: would have happened, it would have been the end of him.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Wouldn't be talking about that that that he is absolutely
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: one thousand percent correct. Yeah, so I appreciate way he
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: handled it. Yeah. On the other hand, is it the answer, Steve?
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: When it might not be the answer, but it's gonna
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: be two sets of charges here. He went on. It's
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: if we don't try. Terry went on to say people
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: need to be held accountable. He said, this is the
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: deal about Hollywood. It's an abusive power. Terry recently filed
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department and
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: fired the talent firm. So there you got see. Listen
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: to me. I might have to pull my hand out
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: to crotch, Harry. I might have to do that, but
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: right after that, you're gonna have to pull my foot
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: out to rear in there. All listen, it's finn to
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: go down. We're both gonna be pulling stuff out of stuff,

- 1:21:01Speaker 1: my man. I honor him. I think he handed the
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: right way. I'm just telling you what would have happened
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: if Marjorie wasn't Now, Steve, what is this on the news?
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I'm seeing? So if Marjorie's not there, just like if

- 1:21:25Speaker 1: it about Terry Crews assaulting this man because the damage
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: would have been on him, because see you, nobody would
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: have saw what he did to Terry Crews. So what

- 1:22:18Speaker 1: always violence, sir, And that's smart. Violence ain't the answer
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: to everything. I got that com it's nice to say
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I got that violence. Ain't that? Yeah, you'll keep you
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: out of jail, you know, stuff like that. All that's correct,
