- 2:01Speaker 1: I good minded. Everybody you're listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey, I
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, you know. I eventually wanted to
- 2:13Speaker 1: syndicate after I was given the opportunity, But the whole
- 2:17Speaker 1: thing about the radio show in the beginning was not
- 2:21Speaker 1: my idea. My idea simply was, I asked God to
- 2:26Speaker 1: make me one of the premier stand ups in the country.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That's all I wanted from me. I asked him that
- 2:32Speaker 1: in That's that's all I asked him for. He's done
- 2:36Speaker 1: so much more for me since then. He's blessed me
- 2:39Speaker 1: with so many more opportunities. He's opened up so many
- 2:43Speaker 1: more doors. He's poured out so many more blessings. It's
- 2:48Speaker 1: hard for me sometimes, really man, to even take it
- 2:52Speaker 1: all in because I feel like, wow, man, billy me,
- 2:56Speaker 1: thank you. I mean, I'll take him now. Don't get
- 2:59Speaker 1: me wrong, but it can be overwhelming at time. I
- 3:02Speaker 1: often used to hear my mother say, who was a
- 3:04Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher? And I remember these words all the time. Now,
- 3:08Speaker 1: God will open up the windows of heaven and poor
- 3:10Speaker 1: out of blessing that you won't have room enough to
- 3:12Speaker 1: receive Wow. I kept waiting on that day, Mama, where
- 3:18Speaker 1: is that day at? I got plenty of room because
- 3:21Speaker 1: I'm dirt pole right now. I got room for a
- 3:24Speaker 1: thousand dollars. I had room for you know, a car.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I had all that. Now I understand. One of the things, though,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that He's done for me that I've asked him for
- 3:38Speaker 1: in my lifetime is that he has made me matter. Okay, Steve,
- 3:44Speaker 1: what do you mean by that? So? I used to
- 3:45Speaker 1: ask God a long time ago one of my prayers
- 3:50Speaker 1: was to help me matter that I want to matter
- 3:55Speaker 1: to the people that I come in contact me. Look,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I just don't want to be a man that they meet.
- 4:01Speaker 1: A young guy that they meet, and when they meet me,
- 4:04Speaker 1: it don't it doesn't cause a ripple in the in
- 4:08Speaker 1: the pond. I want. I want to make ripples in
- 4:10Speaker 1: the pond. I want. I want to be that rock
- 4:13Speaker 1: that when you throw you try to count the ripples
- 4:16Speaker 1: as it go out. I want to be a fourteen
- 4:18Speaker 1: ripple rock. I don't know if you know what that means.
- 4:21Speaker 1: But when I was a little boy, we should stand
- 4:23Speaker 1: on the bank at ponds and stuff and throw rocks
- 4:27Speaker 1: out into the water. We should either skip them or
- 4:30Speaker 1: we'd throw them, and when they would land in the water,
- 4:33Speaker 1: they would create these rings that go out. If you
- 4:36Speaker 1: threw it high enough and it dropped straight down in
- 4:39Speaker 1: that water, the little rings would start forming out like
- 4:43Speaker 1: it would create a little waves. And these waves just
- 4:46Speaker 1: look like circles in the water. And I remember one
- 4:48Speaker 1: time I made fourteen of them, and that's always stuck
- 4:51Speaker 1: with me. As a little boy. That was because nobody
- 4:55Speaker 1: in my circle could make fourteen rings, and they all
- 4:58Speaker 1: counted them so they saw them. So I enjoyed that
- 5:00Speaker 1: because I had made a bigger splash, a bigger ring
- 5:04Speaker 1: pattern than anybody else. So I've always asked God to
- 5:08Speaker 1: make me matter in my own way, make me a
- 5:11Speaker 1: big ring pattern, see, because that's important to me. Now,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it was important to me, but I didn't understand why
- 5:19Speaker 1: I needed that to be the important part of me.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Because here is the other part. You know, the thing
- 5:25Speaker 1: that you know to who much has given much is required.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You've heard the thing do unto others that you would
- 5:31Speaker 1: have them do unto you. You know those those things
- 5:34Speaker 1: like that that you learned along the way. Well, if
- 5:38Speaker 1: you matter to people, then guess what all of those
- 5:43Speaker 1: become a real possibility in your life. See, you can't
- 5:46Speaker 1: ask for the yang without the yang. You can't ask
- 5:48Speaker 1: for it without without the responsibility that comes with it. See,
- 5:52Speaker 1: God can't bless you with a lot, and then you
- 5:55Speaker 1: think that it ain't gonna be a lot required. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: have people pulling at me all day, but I have
- 6:01Speaker 1: to remember that prayer I made. Now, I wanted God
- 6:04Speaker 1: to help me to matter. Now this is important, y'all
- 6:07Speaker 1: because see, if your prayer is to matter, that means
- 6:12Speaker 1: that you want to You want to matter in the
- 6:16Speaker 1: circle that you in, No matter how big the circle
- 6:19Speaker 1: you in, no matter how small the circle you're here,
- 6:21Speaker 1: you want to make a difference. You want to have
- 6:23Speaker 1: an impact on somebody's life in a positive way. If
- 6:27Speaker 1: that's one of your prayers, guess what God a readily
- 6:31Speaker 1: give you that. Because when you do something for the
- 6:35Speaker 1: least of these, it's just like you've done it on
- 6:37Speaker 1: His behalf or you've done it as him. You know
- 6:40Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I don't know if I'm explaining that right,
- 6:42Speaker 1: But when you do something for the less fortunate, you're
- 6:45Speaker 1: doing God's work. God gonna bless you for doing that.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So now here's a deal. So if your prayers to
- 6:50Speaker 1: matter is to become an impactful person, then guess what
- 6:54Speaker 1: God gonna help you do that, Because guess what, You're
- 6:57Speaker 1: gonna do some work on His behalf because you're gonna
- 6:59Speaker 1: run across somebody that's less fortunate. You're gonna run across
- 7:02Speaker 1: somebody could that could use your impact. You're gonna run
- 7:06Speaker 1: across somebody man that ain't quite knowing what your way
- 7:10Speaker 1: to going because you haven't been down that dirty dog
- 7:12Speaker 1: road before. You could say, hey, my man, let me
- 7:15Speaker 1: let me pull your coat to something. You can do
- 7:17Speaker 1: this now, But let me tell you what's gonna happen.
- 7:19Speaker 1: If I were you, I would consider this that's making
- 7:22Speaker 1: an impact. That's like the guy that passed out in
- 7:24Speaker 1: the l a named Lou Danzler out there that had
- 7:27Speaker 1: this boys and girls sent out there in the hood.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And man, I can't tell you the people's lives he impacted.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I remember when Eric Davis, a bad baseball player, came
- 7:37Speaker 1: back and spoke at the group one time, looking at
- 7:40Speaker 1: them kids and hugging Lou Danzling, thanking him man for
- 7:44Speaker 1: changing his life. This guy became one of the superstars
- 7:47Speaker 1: in the Major League Baseball and then just thousands of
- 7:50Speaker 1: people that lives that he affected. And when he passed,
- 7:53Speaker 1: what he did was he left an imprint. He left
- 7:57Speaker 1: an imprint that's huge. And that's all I wanted. Man.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I just said, Man, if I could make an imprint,
- 8:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean, It's like you're walking through life,
- 8:07Speaker 1: right and you're making footprints and saying, I want my
- 8:11Speaker 1: footprints to be so deep that after I'm gone, people
- 8:15Speaker 1: can still tell I had come through there. People have
- 8:19Speaker 1: can still see that I did out. Oh man, he amen, Amen,
- 8:23Speaker 1: Harve walked over there. Hold up, man, look right here, man,
- 8:26Speaker 1: Steve Harvey came through here because I want my footprints
- 8:29Speaker 1: to be so deep in the sand that I'm matter
- 8:33Speaker 1: to so many that even after I'm gone, I can
- 8:36Speaker 1: still show you the way that even after I'm gone,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I still have an effect on my children, on my sons,
- 8:44Speaker 1: so that my sons can look up one day and
- 8:46Speaker 1: gonna remember all the conversations we had. Man, my daddy
- 8:49Speaker 1: used to tell me this, and maybe I can turn
- 8:52Speaker 1: wanted to turn my sons into men. You're understand. Turn
- 8:57Speaker 1: my daughters into ladies, you understand, so they ain't got
- 9:00Speaker 1: to follow the crowd and get out here. You know, man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: you you, you, You gotta wanna matter. Man, you gotta
- 9:06Speaker 1: wanna make a difference. And so at the end of
- 9:08Speaker 1: my life, when it's all over and the winds is
- 9:11Speaker 1: blowing the sand back in my footprints, I wanted to
- 9:15Speaker 1: take a while. I wanted. I want. I want several
- 9:17Speaker 1: sandstorms to have to come through that before my footprints
- 9:21Speaker 1: get feeled up. That's how much I wanna matter. Mattering
- 9:25Speaker 1: is important. It's gotta be important to you. What's your legacy,
- 9:30Speaker 1: what you're gonna leave behind, what they're gonna say about you.
- 9:34Speaker 1: There's a cold thing, you know, when you die and
- 9:37Speaker 1: you get a tombstone, tombstone has your date of birth.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Your tombstone has a dash, and your tombstone has the
- 9:45Speaker 1: date of your death. You would think that the most
- 9:48Speaker 1: important thing on that plaque, on that tombstone is your
- 9:52Speaker 1: birthday or is the day you left here, But it's
- 9:55Speaker 1: not the most important thing on that tombstone is that dash.
- 9:59Speaker 1: What did you do while you will here? It ain't
- 10:03Speaker 1: your birthday they're gonna celebrate. It ain't the day you
- 10:06Speaker 1: die they're gonna celebrate. They're gonna celebrate that dash. What
- 10:09Speaker 1: you did while you was here. It's the smallest thing
- 10:12Speaker 1: on that tombstone, but it's the most important thing on that. Man,
- 10:16Speaker 1: you gotta wake up to matter to somebody, you gotta
- 10:19Speaker 1: make an imprint in the saying. You gotta affect some
- 10:22Speaker 1: people's lives, and you got to do it all in
- 10:24Speaker 1: a positive way. So we gotta wake up every day
- 10:27Speaker 1: thinking about them footprints. We're laying down that legacy, we're
- 10:30Speaker 1: creating that that that what they're gonna talk about when
- 10:33Speaker 1: we're gone moment, what you're doing about your dash. My
- 10:36Speaker 1: dash is January seventeen, nineteen fifty seven. That's my date,
- 10:40Speaker 1: my dash. I'm working on that right now, now, when
- 10:42Speaker 1: I leave here, what I want him to talk about
- 10:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Ain't January seventeen, nineteen fifty seven, ain't the
- 10:48Speaker 1: date I leave here. I want him talk about that
- 10:51Speaker 1: dash man when he was on here. This is what
- 10:53Speaker 1: he did. Man, that was my man. All right, let's go.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, bards of girls, people from
- 11:04Speaker 1: all around the world. Now have your attention. Please, I
- 11:06Speaker 1: have a very very public service announcement to make We
- 11:11Speaker 1: are back. It is two thousand eighteen. Officially we are here.

- 12:22Speaker 1: so are we moving on go back? No? I said

- 12:56Speaker 1: You do not like football? Hush? It's the Falcons beat
- 13:00Speaker 1: the Rams. Uh. The Rams just showed their immaturity in
- 13:05Speaker 1: terms of first time being in playoffs and time a
- 13:08Speaker 1: lot of young players. And then Atlanta been there before.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Hurtful last last year. But hey, man, they got a
- 13:13Speaker 1: shot of going back if they played the way they played. Anyway,
- 13:17Speaker 1: we know who ain't going though. Cleveland got a parade, man,
- 13:23Speaker 1: come on and be like that. Man, they had a parade.
- 13:26Speaker 1: They're talking about we deserve better Cleveland out parade and
- 13:31Speaker 1: hey they I don't know how Hugh Jackson is still
- 13:35Speaker 1: the coach of the Browns just two years in the row,
- 13:39Speaker 1: oh in sixteen. It may not be his fault, but
- 13:42Speaker 1: dog on it, we're blaming him though. We keep going
- 13:45Speaker 1: down at a time in school picking play Johnny Man,
- 13:52Speaker 1: he can't even get into CFL and we've kicked. What
- 13:56Speaker 1: is it, Garrett Miles, He's yet to fulfill his pro chanchel.
- 14:01Speaker 1: We need a quarterback and running back, that's all. What
- 14:05Speaker 1: are they saying. They're saying that maybe Alex Smith from
- 14:08Speaker 1: the Chiefs might go to the Brown Colin Kaepernick still
- 14:12Speaker 1: available anybody, But all right, listen, coming up at thirty
- 14:18Speaker 1: two after the hour, we'll be back with something funny.
- 14:20Speaker 1: We gotta find out what happened over the holidays. Steve,
- 14:23Speaker 1: your New Year's Eve Times Square hosting job. You have
- 14:26Speaker 1: to tell us about that. You were all over social media. Yes,
- 14:39Speaker 1: it was pamping. It was pamping. All right, we'll be back.
- 14:42Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 14:46Speaker 1: here we are time for something funny, our first one
- 14:49Speaker 1: of the brand new year. So Steve, tell us about
- 14:52Speaker 1: Times Square New Year's Eve. Tell us all about it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We saw you most coal hal in the history of television.
- 15:03Speaker 1: He gig number one. Vicious Cold. Uh it was it
- 15:11Speaker 1: was man, I I put a cold on at home.
- 15:20Speaker 1: You me feel cold? You did you? Really? The horrible Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 1: The horrible part was we rehearsed in thirteen degree temperature
- 15:32Speaker 1: and we had to do the whole show live to tape,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so we did that from eleven thirty to four. From
- 15:40Speaker 1: twelve to four thirty, we did that, then we went
- 15:45Speaker 1: inside till six and then we had to come out
- 15:48Speaker 1: and do two pre tapes at six thirty. Then the
- 15:51Speaker 1: regular show started at eight to ten. Then we had
- 15:55Speaker 1: a one hour break from ten to eleven for news,
- 15:58Speaker 1: and then came back from eleven to twy up thirty.
- 16:01Speaker 1: You know every time, and it was one degree every
- 16:05Speaker 1: time you on TV. I got to fight for you
- 16:08Speaker 1: because my phone text ms you start happening. I got
- 16:13Speaker 1: to fight. We gotta argue with people. What are they saying?
- 16:17Speaker 1: What are you thinking about? Somebody hit me up with
- 16:19Speaker 1: why your uncle got to live? Your pope? Coat on?
- 16:24Speaker 1: That's what that means. He looked like bass halls. I
- 16:27Speaker 1: mean what we got to fight though, And I'm in
- 16:32Speaker 1: church though many where I had. Do you know how
- 16:35Speaker 1: cold it was out there? And keeps the heat in? Surely? Yes?
- 16:39Speaker 1: You don't have to explain nothing to these haters. I
- 16:42Speaker 1: didn't respond to not mad damn person. First of all,
- 16:46Speaker 1: one dude asked me why you got on a white
- 16:49Speaker 1: coat in the winter? Number one they made it. Tell
- 16:54Speaker 1: him it's cash number two. Look cause the code ain't
- 17:02Speaker 1: at Burlington. It don't mean coach like that. I felt
- 17:06Speaker 1: perfectly cool, pimping and super fly in my cod I
- 17:10Speaker 1: ignored all hated you when when you have that scarf
- 17:15Speaker 1: wrapped around your head, your ears and your hat on.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I knew it was cold. I know that those were
- 17:20Speaker 1: actually hear most those they look they looked like I
- 17:24Speaker 1: was like, wow, it was it was. It's a head band.
- 17:27Speaker 1: It covers your ear. Because I had and I had
- 17:32Speaker 1: the two custom made earbuds that go all the way
- 17:35Speaker 1: in your ear. They had to make before the show.
- 17:38Speaker 1: They had to make them two weeks because they had
- 17:40Speaker 1: to mold exactly to your ear because the decibel noise
- 17:43Speaker 1: at Times Square is a hundred and ten. If they
- 17:46Speaker 1: put a regular earbud, you won't be able to hear
- 17:50Speaker 1: the director because the noise level was so high on
- 17:55Speaker 1: Times Square. So they put that in your ear and
- 17:57Speaker 1: then I had that to cover. It was just cold, man,
- 18:00Speaker 1: It was just it was so cold. It was in
- 18:01Speaker 1: chr Steve. It was so cold man. I had long
- 18:05Speaker 1: depends it was cold. What long depends? What long depend
- 18:12Speaker 1: you can down your leg? I had on I had
- 18:18Speaker 1: on thermal underwear, cashmere soup turtleneck, Cashmere shoot shoot turtleneck,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and a cash mere coat with and I intentionally wore
- 18:32Speaker 1: a Foe Scoff had first. I just didn't want to
- 18:36Speaker 1: hear Peter Mouth you have. That's why you had my fifty,
- 18:41Speaker 1: not alonely what you're saying, more than that they were
- 18:53Speaker 1: those And then here's a deal. At the end of
- 18:58Speaker 1: all of it, Fox had the highest ratings that they've
- 19:04Speaker 1: had in that time frame in over twenty years. You
- 19:09Speaker 1: gotta do I'm talking about. It was the number two
- 19:15Speaker 1: New Year's Eve special, only behind Ryan Seacrest Dick Clark's
- 19:20Speaker 1: ABC's Rocket New Year's Eve. He Let's Move On kept
- 19:27Speaker 1: the name and honors, took over Dick Clark production. But
- 19:33Speaker 1: they were saying it was cold. That's when you really
- 19:35Speaker 1: knew it was cold. Ryan and them, we're saying it
- 19:40Speaker 1: was cold. Yeah, people say, yeah, it's cold. Yeah. So Steve,
- 19:46Speaker 1: it didn't bother you. I'm glad to hear that it
- 19:47Speaker 1: didn't bother you. The memes the next day, because first
- 19:53Speaker 1: of all, I don't even know who she is. S scary, yeah,
- 20:01Speaker 1: but yeah, but that that don't mean nothing to me.
- 20:04Speaker 1: So what I can huh, Okay, we missed something to
- 20:07Speaker 1: me because they was texting me and I'm fighting at
- 20:10Speaker 1: they were dunking on. We were made. It was cold,
- 20:15Speaker 1: That's what I just said. It was. But it uh,
- 20:20Speaker 1: it's all good, really man, I kid you not. It
- 20:23Speaker 1: don't even affect me because people don't even know, they'd
- 20:26Speaker 1: be just talking. But but why you got a week
- 20:30Speaker 1: ago put yourself I'm at the church text It's hard
- 20:32Speaker 1: to get that texting people to kiss my from church.
- 20:38Speaker 1: You didn't know. Hey, nobody put themselves in your position.
- 20:42Speaker 1: That smile in that statement, he just saying, that's the
- 20:47Speaker 1: first one. And it didn't come from me. There will
- 20:55Speaker 1: be something from you, I'm sure. But to getting put
- 21:01Speaker 1: yourself in my physicis next year. Next year, the coat
- 21:10Speaker 1: will be the topic of conversation again. Real pimps never die, baby,
- 21:17Speaker 1: that's right. So wait, are you going back? Are you
- 21:21Speaker 1: hosting again? Yeah? How was the check though? How was
- 21:27Speaker 1: the chick cold? It in the jacking the weather check night?
- 21:37Speaker 1: And they stood again? That's awesome, Steve. Alright, listen, it's Monday.
- 21:47Speaker 1: We'll move on. Reverend Motown Tack and death Chammer here
- 21:51Speaker 1: for our church complaints first ones of the brand new year.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 21:58Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Ms Anne will be here.
- 22:00Speaker 1: She's gonna update us on today's national news and headlines.
- 22:03Speaker 1: But first, it is Monday, and it's time for taking
- 22:06Speaker 1: death jam and uh Reverend motown with our church complaints.
- 22:12Speaker 1: M hm hm Grecian happy, happy new Yeah, yes, we
- 22:26Speaker 1: we most graciously gaveled to day. That's right, praising and
- 22:32Speaker 1: worshiping and giving thanks to Honora said again, what's around bad?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Giving honor and praising for two thousand one eight variously
- 22:52Speaker 1: known as two thousand eight. We we should be great
- 23:00Speaker 1: full at this turn great for Watch this though, watch
- 23:04Speaker 1: this congregation, we find something to complain about. Trip. It's
- 23:11Speaker 1: what our call well, ladies and gentlemen, the leader or
- 23:14Speaker 1: the trip congregator, the trippings of them, all of the
- 23:21Speaker 1: phone yeahs, past and press, I'm pasted it a happy
- 23:27Speaker 1: new year to year eighteen. I'm just the messenger, past
- 23:31Speaker 1: and that's all I am. The messenger. Don't shoot him.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Don't shoot the messenger. Thank you. We're gonna start this.
- 23:38Speaker 1: This is a complaint to you, pastor. I'm brother, Robert
- 23:43Speaker 1: Louis journ Again, who has been blind for twenty eight years,
- 23:48Speaker 1: regained his sight last week. It was America by far.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Now Robert has just seen his wife since the Philistine
- 23:56Speaker 1: jouring again for the first time. He said he can't
- 23:59Speaker 1: see they relationship doing any further. You married them past
- 24:04Speaker 1: fifteen years ago, and he wants to file a lawsuit
- 24:08Speaker 1: against you for marrying him to a woman that ugly. Well,
- 24:14Speaker 1: we've written a song just for this occasion because I
- 24:19Speaker 1: knew it was coming. Hit it. I got a big
- 24:23Speaker 1: old ugly woman, she's ugly all the time. Really, come on,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I got a big old ugly woman. She's ugly, but
- 24:38Speaker 1: she's mine. Yeah, And when I wake up in the morning,
- 24:46Speaker 1: I think the Lord made me blind. We wrote that
- 24:53Speaker 1: song for him, the fact that he could see now
- 24:58Speaker 1: and none I'll be yeah, healing comes. Responsibility would corresponded.
- 25:11Speaker 1: If you got right moving along, asked the Lord fall
- 25:15Speaker 1: because he, Jeff might get he can see now what
- 25:19Speaker 1: they do it? Go ahead, al right, Pastor. We have
- 25:25Speaker 1: a new member that joined on New Year's Eve that's
- 25:29Speaker 1: already starting some confusion in the church. Sister on a roaster.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I wants to start a Republican minority ministry. But the
- 25:39Speaker 1: call is on you, pastor, if you won't have to
- 25:41Speaker 1: do this, well, we're not going to allow that in Hill.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Oh it didn't work out for her at the White House.
- 25:53Speaker 1: So one bad I said, it didn't work out White
- 26:05Speaker 1: ain't no need are you coming? We're different up in Hill. Yeah,
- 26:12Speaker 1: we don't vote up in the Hill. We will bring
- 26:17Speaker 1: so when we're gonna handle it, it's gonna be a
- 26:20Speaker 1: little bit different. Thank you, or Sister Alma Roussel, we
- 26:24Speaker 1: wish you well. We know that as a book coming.
- 26:27Speaker 1: That's all it was when you quit, you were setting
- 26:30Speaker 1: up a book. But be careful now called sloppy Steve
- 26:34Speaker 1: Branyon has come out with a book with this other man.
- 26:38Speaker 1: You see what's happening the hill. You know your black
- 26:40Speaker 1: as in trouble. So I'll be careful with what you
- 26:44Speaker 1: say about that man's up there in the White House.
- 26:49Speaker 1: That ain't none us vote for all right past the eye,
- 26:55Speaker 1: Sister La Vanderlin Rockamo has opened a weed dispenser in
- 27:01Speaker 1: the church name without our consent, just started in June
- 27:05Speaker 1: of twenty seventeen. She has a growth over two point
- 27:08Speaker 1: five million in six months. What do we want to
- 27:12Speaker 1: do with how well she is a memory her and
- 27:19Speaker 1: the name that she's chosen for marijuana dispissally here at
- 27:24Speaker 1: the church is quite afropos. We are the jack pot
- 27:30Speaker 1: sho joint. This is the jack pot joint rooted, I
- 27:38Speaker 1: would not pot enjoint. Bringers on and a special announcement
- 27:43Speaker 1: to be made. She and I are being married next month.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Did you already have a wife. No, I don't have
- 27:56Speaker 1: a wife. I'm a single man. More time I get
- 28:00Speaker 1: married to no woman. I'm married to the hitch past.
- 28:08Speaker 1: The speaking of the single ministry, the single ministry, won't
- 28:15Speaker 1: we wek yeah, don't stop, come on with it, shake it.
- 28:23Speaker 1: What your mind. I gave you the single ministry your
- 28:28Speaker 1: money making. Come on here. And the single minister wants
- 28:38Speaker 1: to use the church on Friday nights as a club.
- 28:41Speaker 1: The club is called Holy Fun. They tried at this
- 28:45Speaker 1: past Friday. The older members are against the project because
- 28:48Speaker 1: it was twerking going on all Friday night. But the
- 28:52Speaker 1: call is on you we have the single minister can't continue. Well,
- 28:57Speaker 1: we're going to allow of single ministry took tenure. But
- 29:03Speaker 1: the problem we had on yesterday Sunday was the praise
- 29:09Speaker 1: team had picked up twerking and was using it on
- 29:13Speaker 1: Sunday around the edge of the baptismal pool. That got
- 29:17Speaker 1: to stop. You can't twork around the baptismal poop. That's
- 29:26Speaker 1: not the question. Is there someplace you can to work
- 29:30Speaker 1: in church after church? But not in it, especially with
- 29:40Speaker 1: them feing baptism roles on. Sister Shamika got baptized Sunday
- 29:49Speaker 1: and came up working for deacons fell in trying to save.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Just got to stop a a pastor last but night,
- 30:04Speaker 1: least um. The pole ministry is asking for a baby
- 30:08Speaker 1: all budget. They've been getting pole burns on their fads
- 30:12Speaker 1: when they pole dancing, but they need to baby all
- 30:16Speaker 1: on the pole. They're gonna work out. Did you stop
- 30:19Speaker 1: that right now? You need a grip on that pole
- 30:22Speaker 1: that we'll have so many injuries. Put baby All on
- 30:26Speaker 1: the pole and he can't even hold on to a pole.
- 30:31Speaker 1: All right? Listen, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:34Speaker 1: we must move on. We're gonna have some of last
- 30:37Speaker 1: night's highlights from the Golden Globe Awards, plus MS and
- 30:41Speaker 1: will be here with today's national news. You're listening to
- 30:44Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning show. Uh. The awards season kicked
- 30:47Speaker 1: off last night with the seventy five annual Golden Globe Awards,
- 30:52Speaker 1: honoring the best in film and television. It was hosted
- 30:55Speaker 1: by Seth Myers. Hollywood women joined forces last night to
- 30:59Speaker 1: fight sexual harassment. UH. Some of the actresses wore black
- 31:03Speaker 1: and solidarity for victims of sexual harassment and abuse. Here
- 31:07Speaker 1: were some of the nominees Game of Thrones, of course, UH,
- 31:11Speaker 1: this is us Blackish is rae uh Insecure Best Actor
- 31:18Speaker 1: Denzel Washington for Roman Q Israel. Esquire saw that movie
- 31:23Speaker 1: Best Supporting Actress Mary J. Blige. I was nominated for
- 31:27Speaker 1: mud Bound. The more highlights from the Golden Globes last night.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Throughout the majority of my career, I have benefited from
- 31:33Speaker 1: color blind casting, which means, you know, like, hey, let's
- 31:36Speaker 1: throw a brother in this role, right, It's always really cool.
- 31:39Speaker 1: But Dan Folman, you wrote a role for a black
- 31:42Speaker 1: man like that could only be played by a black man.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And so what I appreciate so much about this thing
- 31:48Speaker 1: is that I'm being seen for who I am and
- 31:51Speaker 1: being appreciated for who I am, and it makes it
- 31:54Speaker 1: that much more difficult to dismiss me or dismiss anybody
- 31:57Speaker 1: who looks like me. So thank you then, plus Oprah Winfrey,
- 32:01Speaker 1: congratulations going out to her. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I'll take a listen in Sydney. Received the Cecil Beida
- 32:09Speaker 1: Mille Award right here at the Golden Globes. And it
- 32:12Speaker 1: is not lost on me that at this moment there
- 32:17Speaker 1: are some little girls watching as I become the first
- 32:21Speaker 1: black woman to be given the same award. So I
- 32:27Speaker 1: want all the girls watching here now to know that
- 32:31Speaker 1: a new day is on the horizon, and when that
- 32:40Speaker 1: new day finally dawns, it will be because of a
- 32:48Speaker 1: lot of magnificent women, many of them are right here
- 32:53Speaker 1: in this moom tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men fighting
- 32:59Speaker 1: hard to make sure that days become the leaders who
- 33:03Speaker 1: take us to the time when nobody ever has to
- 33:08Speaker 1: say me too. Again. And congratulations by the way to
- 33:16Speaker 1: Mary J. Blige. We mentioned she got a nomination from
- 33:19Speaker 1: mud Bound. She also got her star on the Hollywood
- 33:21Speaker 1: Walk of Fame. Yeah, she's getting it, so congratulations to
- 33:24Speaker 1: her now the Golden Globe. Yes, of course, show I
- 33:30Speaker 1: have gained six pounds over the holiday. Got to do that.
- 33:36Speaker 1: That's an award, that's an achievement. You were nominated most
- 33:41Speaker 1: pounds gain. Congratulations, congratulations, good work. Okay, the Golden globes,
- 33:55Speaker 1: like we said, really good last night. Uh, Steve, we
- 33:59Speaker 1: talked about it earlier. This brutal cold that's going on
- 34:02Speaker 1: in the Midwest, in the Northeast America. Uh, we're dealing
- 34:07Speaker 1: with it in some form of fashion. I know in
- 34:10Speaker 1: l A. It seems like everyone has the flu. Even
- 34:13Speaker 1: though the weather is great. It seems like everyone has
- 34:14Speaker 1: the flu. But it's time to get to the latest
- 34:17Speaker 1: news and weather. Let's welcome back miss Anne. Happy new year,
- 34:20Speaker 1: miss Anne. Ladies and gentlemen, Thank you everybody. Good morning,
- 34:26Speaker 1: and welcome back guys. This is and tripped with the news.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry, so sorry. Yeah. President Trump's one time chief strategist,
- 34:37Speaker 1: Steve Bannon is now backing away from the unflattering statements
- 34:40Speaker 1: attributed him about Trump and his family and the book
- 34:43Speaker 1: Fire and Fury's saying I'm sorry. Basically, after excerpts of
- 34:46Speaker 1: the new book were published last week, some of Bannon's
- 34:48Speaker 1: in bright Bart News is big right wing contributes back
- 34:51Speaker 1: to a way. So Bannon now says his support for
- 34:53Speaker 1: Trump is unwavering. He calls Don Junior, by the way,
- 34:55Speaker 1: a patriot and a good man. That's even though he's
- 34:58Speaker 1: quoted in the Michael Wolf books called the younger Trump's
- 35:00Speaker 1: meeting with the Russians treasonists. The President called Bannon sloppy
- 35:04Speaker 1: Steve and says he's lost his mind. President Trump, by
- 35:06Speaker 1: the way, has gotten rid of the commission he's set
- 35:08Speaker 1: up to supposedly find the five million votes he claimed
- 35:12Speaker 1: were illegally cast for Hillary Clinton last November, votes he
- 35:15Speaker 1: blamed for his losing the actual popular vote two years
- 35:18Speaker 1: ago by more than three million. Trump leveled those fraud
- 35:21Speaker 1: charges without ever offering a shred of evidence. Many states
- 35:24Speaker 1: dismissed the whole idea, and the panel never issued any findings.
- 35:27Speaker 1: By the way, it's reported on Wednesday. On Wednesday, President
- 35:30Speaker 1: Trump is gonna announce his winners of his quote most
- 35:34Speaker 1: Dishonest and Corrupt media awards of the year. Stay tuned
- 35:38Speaker 1: to that. A lot of news organizations say they actually
- 35:40Speaker 1: want to win it. The city of Charlettsville, Virginia requesting
- 35:43Speaker 1: reimbursement from the Commonwealth for the expenses incurred related to
- 35:47Speaker 1: the deadly white supremacist rally back in August where an
- 35:50Speaker 1: anti racist demonstrated was run over and killed city officials
- 35:54Speaker 1: in Charottesville, asking for more than two hundred thousand dollars
- 35:56Speaker 1: in reimbursement for the money spent on security, police, fire,
- 35:59Speaker 1: and other personnel. The decision on that, by the way,
- 36:02Speaker 1: is up to the governor. American Airlines is apologizing for
- 36:06Speaker 1: accusing two members of the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies, accusing them
- 36:10Speaker 1: of stealing blankets. Stewardess accused them of taking blankets that
- 36:14Speaker 1: they asked for and were given and threw them off
- 36:17Speaker 1: the plane. Once again, she was wrong. Just a few
- 36:21Speaker 1: months ago, the nuble A CP advised Black Americans not
- 36:24Speaker 1: to fly American Airlines because of several possible racist incidents,
- 36:28Speaker 1: and according to the dictionary dot com, the words Dozier, collusion,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and fury was some of the most often looked up
- 36:35Speaker 1: words last year. However, the most looked up word for
- 36:37Speaker 1: seventeen was complicit, which showed up in all sorts of stories,
- 36:41Speaker 1: some climate change to mass shooting, to the opioid epidemic
- 36:43Speaker 1: to sexual hariss when they used complicit a lot last year.
- 36:47Speaker 1: The winner at this year's Box Off this weekend's rather
- 36:49Speaker 1: Box Office was Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle for the
- 36:52Speaker 1: third weekend in a row. Spencer thinks we got sucked
- 37:01Speaker 1: into Jumanji and we become the avatars we chose. Don't
- 37:03Speaker 1: look at it. I don't have my Claren, and all
- 37:07Speaker 1: I see around here is pol Well, I don't have
- 37:09Speaker 1: to top. Twenty minutes after the hour, Eugene the Butterfly
- 37:13Speaker 1: coming up. Stay tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:15Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 37:19Speaker 1: please introduced j J. You then introduced the butterfly, and
- 37:23Speaker 1: then the butterfly. Take it away. You know how it goes.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Let's go. You know what dose he has is the
- 37:33Speaker 1: first time in the new year. Come on people, Butterfly, Butterfly.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Good morning everyone. Oh my god, we are back. We
- 37:47Speaker 1: are back. We are back. Good morning, geting butterfly. Good morning. Yes.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I have some conversation with some people over the break
- 37:56Speaker 1: and they think you should change your image, like like
- 37:58Speaker 1: a new nickname and not butterfly anymore. What well, my
- 38:04Speaker 1: friends used to call me sugar Boots. Is that sugar Boots? Yeah,
- 38:11Speaker 1: how did you get that name? That's just it's a
- 38:13Speaker 1: long story. But you know what, Stephen, you're talking about
- 38:17Speaker 1: changing image. That's actually what my new Year's resolution. I
- 38:20Speaker 1: was gonna ask you how what yours was. But here's
- 38:22Speaker 1: my new Year's resolution, Steve. I want to dress more
- 38:25Speaker 1: like Yal. So I'm thinking if I start coming over
- 38:29Speaker 1: to your house in the mornings and just we can
- 38:31Speaker 1: start getting dressed together, that's something I really want to do.
- 38:35Speaker 1: It's going to work. But I want you know, after
- 38:39Speaker 1: seeing you with that white coat on New Year's Eve, baby,
- 38:41Speaker 1: I said, you know what, I got to change who
- 38:44Speaker 1: I am. I do so I want to be more
- 38:47Speaker 1: like Yale Stephen in front of that, but you are
- 38:53Speaker 1: my you are my fashion mentor. So I want to
- 38:55Speaker 1: I want to dress more like ye What what did
- 38:59Speaker 1: you No? I said, that's gonna be hard because you
- 39:02Speaker 1: built bad shape. Yeah, you know you're supposed to be
- 39:09Speaker 1: my friend and your friend, but keep you're making punches
- 39:14Speaker 1: at me and I don't like. No, I'm just saying
- 39:17Speaker 1: that's not happen. What what do you mean? He walks different?
- 39:22Speaker 1: He got a poor hamstring all that. Now, you gotta
- 39:28Speaker 1: get your pipa together down do this. That's trying his body.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Why are you trying to keep trying to get out
- 39:34Speaker 1: of that? But they're different people. Wouldn't you try different personality? Yeah?
- 39:40Speaker 1: Right then, very well, So can I come out in
- 39:43Speaker 1: the morning and we start getting dressed. That's not gonna happen,
- 39:48Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown, I'm gonna say it one month time.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I'm not talking to you right now. Now we're friends.
- 39:54Speaker 1: We could have a cup of coffee after the show
- 39:55Speaker 1: was out, but as a right now, say what that
- 39:59Speaker 1: is not? Oh, butterfly, did you know that today was
- 40:03Speaker 1: National bubble bath Day? I heard about it. But you
- 40:07Speaker 1: know nobody on here takes you back. Well, everybody takes showers.
- 40:12Speaker 1: There's not a lot of people who who took a
- 40:16Speaker 1: shower who took a back lately, everybody had been taking showers.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Bass and something overrated there. I just ranke off. I'm
- 40:23Speaker 1: in a that sounds nasty. Sorry, Butterfly. A Brown coming
- 40:31Speaker 1: up to murder another hit and we'll be back at
- 40:34Speaker 1: thirty four after you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Jay is here to murder another hit. Please introduce him, Steve,
- 40:44Speaker 1: Ladies and Gentlemen, hit murdering himself. Jake Anthony Brown, Well,
- 40:49Speaker 1: I really have to set this song up because man, no, no, no,
- 40:54Speaker 1: listen to me. Listen, listen, listen. This song just takes
- 41:05Speaker 1: the year and we wrapped a whole entire year up
- 41:10Speaker 1: two thousand and seventeen. So you might lose some friends,
- 41:14Speaker 1: Steve on this one. You might some people who you
- 41:18Speaker 1: kind of got back in your graces may not be
- 41:22Speaker 1: in your graces after this. You don't care at all. Well,
- 41:28Speaker 1: the theory is this do something. If you asked me
- 41:33Speaker 1: to come over here, if you're in the news, we
- 41:40Speaker 1: can make a song about your game. Not let me
- 41:44Speaker 1: get my plug in because I might not be able
- 41:45Speaker 1: to speak after this. Taco Tuesday is going down at
- 41:50Speaker 1: the Jake's. But this week passed, Jake. I passed by
- 41:56Speaker 1: your comedy club the other day. I don't even know
- 41:58Speaker 1: where it was. I went over on Inglewood on Market
- 42:02Speaker 1: Street to the Hats though. Oh yeah, I know that place. Yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 1: then they got some hats in there. Man New Year's Eve.

- 46:10Speaker 1: know what to hear. Leon got fancy with it playing
- 46:25Speaker 1: Junior loading the bear man. Hello, thank you for calling me. Hello,
- 46:31Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach the cold Please. How you doing? Listen?
- 46:35Speaker 1: My name is Leon, and I was calling you to
- 46:38Speaker 1: see if you had any booth rental in the salon
- 46:40Speaker 1: that you're working. I'm sorry, don't your name? What's your name? Leon?
- 46:44Speaker 1: I mean my real name is Leon, but my artistic
- 46:47Speaker 1: name is Leon. Leon is what they call me le. Okay, Um,
- 46:52Speaker 1: Actually I do have faith for another person to come
- 46:55Speaker 1: in at work. Um. I am in a sweet Um.
- 46:58Speaker 1: It's rather small in here. If you are interested in
- 47:02Speaker 1: coming in working, I would really like to have someone
- 47:04Speaker 1: come in and work with me. That would be nice.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Can I ask you a question them, what's your background?
- 47:08Speaker 1: What do you do? Well, actually, I've just moved here
- 47:12Speaker 1: to d C. I was actually living in the Los
- 47:14Speaker 1: Angeles area, and you know, I've been doing hair there
- 47:18Speaker 1: for the last probably fifteen twenty years. I've been doing hair, uh,
- 47:22Speaker 1: definitely licensed. You know, I just moved here, but I've
- 47:26Speaker 1: been doing here here for quite a long time. I
- 47:28Speaker 1: specialized and only doing females hair. And um, you know,
- 47:32Speaker 1: just looking to get into d C and get back
- 47:34Speaker 1: to work, and I really want to find a place
- 47:37Speaker 1: where I can do some hair and and you know
- 47:38Speaker 1: it's gonna take me a minute to get some clientele
- 47:40Speaker 1: built up, but you know, I know my work is good. Okay. Well, UM,
- 47:45Speaker 1: I am in a high traffic area and I think
- 47:47Speaker 1: this would be a great area for you just coming
- 47:49Speaker 1: in from another state, especially California. UM, is it possible
- 47:54Speaker 1: you can come in and take a look and see
- 47:57Speaker 1: what you can You know, I'd love I'd love to
- 47:59Speaker 1: come in and take a look and see what. I
- 48:00Speaker 1: don't want the type of work environment you have, and
- 48:03Speaker 1: so I'm I'm understanding that a lot of people that
- 48:06Speaker 1: do have and have different rooms. Is that's how this
- 48:08Speaker 1: setup is yes, that's how it's set up. However, I
- 48:11Speaker 1: did you actually have you actually have a sweet? I
- 48:13Speaker 1: do have a sweet. Um, it's a double sweep, so
- 48:16Speaker 1: there is room for another technician. Um. But you know,
- 48:19Speaker 1: with the being such close quarters, you know, you gotta
- 48:21Speaker 1: gotta kind of get a feel for the person that's
- 48:22Speaker 1: going to come in and work for you. So all right,
- 48:24Speaker 1: rightly's gonna be working real close to each other. Understand.
- 48:27Speaker 1: You know if we kind of meet each other, you know,
- 48:29Speaker 1: we can get a feel for each other and see
- 48:30Speaker 1: if you can work. Let me ask you something. Have
- 48:32Speaker 1: you have you had a PHS? Have you worked around
- 48:35Speaker 1: a PHS person before? I'm sorry? Who a PHS? Have
- 48:39Speaker 1: you worked around? I mean that's that's pretty much what
- 48:41Speaker 1: I do. Have you worked around a PHS? I'm not
- 48:45Speaker 1: I'm not familiar with that term. Is that a California term?
- 48:48Speaker 1: I don't with PHS? Is? Um? Private hair specialists? Have
- 48:53Speaker 1: you worked with a private hair specialist before? Um? Well,
- 48:57Speaker 1: I would consider myself private being so I'm in the sweet,
- 49:00Speaker 1: but where you would be working out in the open
- 49:03Speaker 1: with myself? So I don't know how private you would be?
- 49:05Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, no, you know you don't
- 49:07Speaker 1: understand where it comes from. I'm a phs okay, private
- 49:11Speaker 1: hair specialists, and what that is is I I do
- 49:16Speaker 1: women's private hair, like if they want removal from under
- 49:20Speaker 1: their arm or their chin or you know. But most
- 49:23Speaker 1: of my work actually resides in the bikini line. Uh.
- 49:27Speaker 1: You know, I'm an artist, so I've known to put
- 49:29Speaker 1: your name there. I can die at a different color
- 49:32Speaker 1: mohawk landing strip, you know. Let me let me let
- 49:36Speaker 1: me stop you right there. Um, you did call and
- 49:39Speaker 1: say you were hairstyles, and the last time I check
- 49:41Speaker 1: the hairstyles, they'd be style here the hair on top
- 49:43Speaker 1: of the head. Leon does hair. It doesn't doesn't necessarily
- 49:47Speaker 1: have to be the hair on the head. I'm just saying,
- 49:49Speaker 1: I style Leon, Sri Lanka. What's what's your name again?
- 49:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry, she Leon. You cannot continue to get this wrong,
- 49:56Speaker 1: Shane Leon. Okay, I'm sorry. What was the name your
- 49:59Speaker 1: mom gave you? Because my government name is Leon. But okay, Leon, Leon, Leon. Again,
- 50:06Speaker 1: this is a suite and you will be working in
- 50:08Speaker 1: the open with myself and my clients who are accustomed
- 50:12Speaker 1: to having a professional setting. Um, and I don't think
- 50:15Speaker 1: it would be appropriate for you to have someone come
- 50:17Speaker 1: in and have a landing strip, an airport, a plane,
- 50:21Speaker 1: their baby daddy's name. But I don't, I don't at all.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Whatever you do, that's not what we're about here. Are
- 50:27Speaker 1: you trying to say that you're not open for new ideas?
- 50:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry. If you consider that a new idea, then
- 50:32Speaker 1: I'm giving you phone number to someone else, because we're
- 50:35Speaker 1: not gonna do that here. I haven't. We're not. Excuse me,
- 50:41Speaker 1: excuse me, excuse me. You called my salon. Where did
- 50:44Speaker 1: you even get my number from? Why? What made you
- 50:46Speaker 1: think that you could call my shop? And then this
- 50:48Speaker 1: is what we do? When you could come here and
- 50:50Speaker 1: you could do that, well, I'm thinking that you would
- 50:52Speaker 1: be open for something new. Why would you think that
- 50:54Speaker 1: I'd be open for that? Who? Who told you that?
- 50:57Speaker 1: What I mean? I'm not saying that you came all
- 51:01Speaker 1: the way from California and you called me. You're not
- 51:04Speaker 1: coming to my salon to call your name, anybody else's name,
- 51:08Speaker 1: and you have a landing strip, any type of initials. Okay,
- 51:13Speaker 1: this is a professional salon and we four hair, the
- 51:16Speaker 1: hair on the head. That's what I'm doing. I'm staring
- 51:21Speaker 1: hand of the head that I said stone here, that's
- 51:27Speaker 1: what she does. Look you, I'm sick of you. I'm
- 51:31Speaker 1: sick of you already. So you know what. This is
- 51:33Speaker 1: not even gonna work. This is not even gonna work again.
- 51:35Speaker 1: We're not doing that here in my shop. I'm sorry.
- 51:38Speaker 1: I hope you can call someone else and maybe they
- 51:40Speaker 1: all accept your crass. I'm sorry that your career would
- 51:43Speaker 1: not a big successful as as you would like it
- 51:45Speaker 1: to be because you're not open for new ideas very successful.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Thank you. You know what. I'm gonna come over the
- 51:52Speaker 1: pass out fly in front of your shop, letting them
- 51:55Speaker 1: know about she Lean and letting them know also that
- 51:58Speaker 1: you are not who you really are. When are you coming?
- 52:01Speaker 1: Are you coming today? Don't worry about when I'm coming.
- 52:04Speaker 1: I know where you are. I'm here right now. Can
- 52:06Speaker 1: you come today? Please come, I'm coming to day. Please
- 52:09Speaker 1: come over here, because I'm gonna be that outside waiting
- 52:12Speaker 1: for yall. Bring you up overhead, bring it because you

- 52:33Speaker 1: he needs to say. Are you listening to Shane Leon?
- 52:36Speaker 1: What is it? That's his nephew told me from the
- 52:39Speaker 1: Steve Robin Morning Show. You just gotta pre by your girlfriend,
- 52:43Speaker 1: miss Sean. Hello, Oh my god, I'm gonna keep you
- 52:56Speaker 1: and heard nobody everybody. I got one more thing, I mean,
- 53:05Speaker 1: what else you got to say? What is the baddest
- 53:08Speaker 1: radio show in the land, Steve Harvey? To show? That
- 53:15Speaker 1: is Leon? What y'all think here? I just want to know?
- 53:20Speaker 1: Was that stupid? That's all new year? Still stupid? That's
- 53:23Speaker 1: all stupid eighteen stupid. You've still got your job to
- 53:28Speaker 1: be thankful for that stupid stupid. Yeah, at least you
- 53:41Speaker 1: don't take it too far with the wrong Steve nineteen seven.
- 53:50Speaker 1: But I'm back on Steve. Steve. You guys have been friends,
- 53:53Speaker 1: you and Ja for years? How many years? Been? Everything?
- 54:03Speaker 1: Everything ends one day? But on nothing ask forever, accept
- 54:07Speaker 1: the word of God. Everything? But what specifically got you
- 54:15Speaker 1: a little upset? Steve? Serious murder year. First of all,
- 54:19Speaker 1: the audacity. Are you to put me your damn on
- 54:27Speaker 1: my damn show. I knew that, you know, at any
- 54:30Speaker 1: point you could have said, you know what, man, I
- 54:32Speaker 1: really think? Man, I can't now I'm gonna do it. Man,
- 54:36Speaker 1: you know anything news, I'm gonna do it. Yeah. You
- 54:39Speaker 1: know how Jay thinks nothing gets in the way of
- 54:42Speaker 1: the joke that you already knew this though, nothing gets
- 54:47Speaker 1: in the way of a joke except your damn job.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Do you agree the song was good? Though? Hold the
- 54:56Speaker 1: job job. I'm just not talking to him. Coming up
- 55:07Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, today's Strawberry Letters on deck.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Plus we're gonna tell you about two Capricorn birthdays. What
- 55:14Speaker 1: about I gotta tell you what he's saying the writing

- 57:07Speaker 1: of my old Yeah who knew that? Really really young
- 57:15Speaker 1: to have all that power, all that power. Uh. Speaking
- 57:19Speaker 1: of Kim John Un, President Donald Trump said on Saturday
- 57:23Speaker 1: that he would be open to talking with him. Uh.
- 57:26Speaker 1: You know he named him little rocket Man. Uh. You
- 57:29Speaker 1: remember on New Year's Day, both Trump and Kim john
- 57:32Speaker 1: when were talking via social media about nuclear bomb. Yeah,
- 57:40Speaker 1: I had no clue. Yeah, man, it's not a joke, guys. Yes,
- 57:44Speaker 1: Steve Bannon's out. He said he doesn't even talk to
- 57:47Speaker 1: him anymore. The President says that, and he that he
- 57:50Speaker 1: lost his mind. He said that about Steve Bannon. Friends
- 57:54Speaker 1: break up? Now, what'd you say? Would you say? Jay?
- 57:57Speaker 1: Friends break up? Sometimes? Interest asked you? He interesting Trump
- 58:04Speaker 1: and J I'm not talking to him. Let's play that
- 58:12Speaker 1: little part where he talks about Steven him So, okay, okay.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Then right after we play that, let's play the race again.
- 58:24Speaker 1: And then let's post. Since we got pictures of me
- 58:26Speaker 1: and my coat up, let's put a picture of Tom
- 58:29Speaker 1: and hamstring bruise that Wait wait, wait, wait, I gotta
- 58:35Speaker 1: tell you all this story. It's real quick. Let me
- 58:37Speaker 1: tell you all this. So, so, me and Jackie, me
- 58:39Speaker 1: and my wife. Out of the restaurant. I go wash
- 58:41Speaker 1: my hands, use bathroom. I'm standing in the urinal. Somebody
- 58:45Speaker 1: stands next to me and it just towers over me.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I'm like, damn, who is that? I don't want to
- 58:51Speaker 1: look right most and I couldn't help it. I look
- 58:53Speaker 1: right anybody, So I looked it's Robert, or damn Robert,
- 59:04Speaker 1: I just text you yes to a few days ago.
- 59:07Speaker 1: He said, oh, snap, Tommy, and then he didn't say
- 59:09Speaker 1: nothing else. What your hell made you run that race?
- 59:13Speaker 1: I told Calhoun to stop you before you took off. Yes,
- 59:18Speaker 1: I tell him he gonna pull her hands thinging, damn
- 59:20Speaker 1: it if you didn't do it, I said, Robert, why
- 59:22Speaker 1: are we standing here talking about that right now? He said,
- 59:24Speaker 1: because I saw the race. I watched the whole thing
- 59:28Speaker 1: zipped up, zipped up by the I don't need to
- 59:34Speaker 1: wat Shirley, What did he say? What did who say?
- 59:44Speaker 1: He asked, they zipped up? Buckle up here. It is
- 59:54Speaker 1: straw everybody subject in desperate need of love. First, let
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: me say that I love the advice that you and
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Steve give to those with dilemmas. I've tried to ask
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: for advice from others but got a little shine backed away.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: But I'm at the point where I need answers. I'm
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: not sure where to begin, but here I go. I'm
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: head over heels for this guy that has straight affection problems.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: He says that he loves me once in a while,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: but it's like pulling teeth from his mouth. He basically
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: says that when we're going through crazy situations like near
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: death experiences. When I bring it up, he says, you
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: should know how I feel I'm with you, right, garbage
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: like that. Surely I'm the type of woman where I'm
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: not only where I not only need to hear it,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I need to feel it and see it. I guess
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: you can say I'm an addict for love and all
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: my relationships past and present, it's like I need that
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: fix of showers and showers of love. I try being
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: with other guys and they've wined and dined me, but
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: it's like my guy haunts my mind. I honestly do
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: think that he loves me because I sense it when
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: we are together. Oh yeah, we've been together for about
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: three years, but he still hasn't popped that big question,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: will you marry me? I guess what I'm asking is
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: what should I do? Should I stay with him? And
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: if so, should I settle with what love he has
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: to offer me? Because of how much I love him
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: and can envision myself with anyone else. Your advice, whether
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: it is harsh or not, is greatly needed. Thanks a
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: bunch desperately in need of love, um dear desperately in
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: need of love. I just feel like you need some
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: empowerment and and you know in this situation, first, why
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: is sister gott to be desperate? Let's just take desperation
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: out of the equation. You got a man, you're crazy
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: about him. You're upset that he doesn't say loves you enough. Now.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: I know, as a woman, we do like to hear
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: it when our man says he loves us. We like it.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: It makes us feel a certain way. I can't deny that.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: But does it make you desperate? And doesn't make you
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: an addict for love just because you want to hear that, No,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: it doesn't. It just makes you a woman who's who's
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: really into the act of love. You know, you like
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: being in love, but it just doesn't sound like your
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: man is into it. You don't need showers and showers
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: of love. You just want that because at this stage,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: right here, in this relationship with him, you need that
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: to validate uh you who you are. When when he
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you know, when he shows you that he loves you
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: like that gives you stuff, then you feel like he
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: really loves you. Um, you just gotta believe in yourself
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: and have confidence in your confidence in yourself, or you're
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: never gonna be happy no matter who it's with, You're
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: gonna always have that desperate feeling if you don't get
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: what's right, you know, get you right first. It's okay
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to love someone, but you gotta ask yourself. Are they
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: worthy of your love? Can they return it? How does
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: he treats you? You've been with him three years. You
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: ought to know something by now as a subject of marriage.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Even come up. It's okay to love him, got to
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: love yourself. I can't say that enough. Um, what he's
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: doing right now, he's gonna do for the of the relationship.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: He is not gonna change. So it's up to you
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: if you want to stay with him, definitely don't settle though,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: you know, definitely don't settle Steve. After that, if you
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: want to respond to the letter, go to Steve Harvey
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: dot com and you can respond and read it. All.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: This should be done in her time. You're listening to
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: get to your part to response to today's Strawberry letter
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: subject in Desperate Need of Love. First, let me say
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: that I love to advise you and Steve give to
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: those with dilemmas. I've tried to ask advice from others
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: but got a little shine back the way. But I'm
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: at the point where I need answers and I'm not
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: sure where to begin, but here I go. I'm head
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: over heels for this guy that has straight affection problems.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: He said he loves me once in a while, but
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: it's like pulling teeth from his mouth. He basically says,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: it's when you were going through crazy situations like near
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: death experiences. When I bring it up, he says, you
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: should know how I feel. I'm with you, right, Garbage
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: like that, Shirley. I'm the type of woman who I
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: not only need to hear it, I need to feel
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: it and see it, I guess you can say. And
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I'm I'm an addict for love in all of my
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: relationships past and presidents like, I need that fix of
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: showers and showers of love. I tried being with other
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: guys and they have wined and dyed me, but it's
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: like but it's like my guy haunts my mind. I
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: honestly do think that he loves me because I sense
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: it when we are together. Oh yeah, we've been together
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: for about three years, but he still hasn't popped a
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: big question when you married me. I guess what I'm asking.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: It's what should I do? Should I stay with him?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: And if so, should I settle with what love he
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: has to offer me because of how much I love
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: him and can't envision myself with anyone else. Your advice,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: whether it's harsh or not, it's greatly needed. Thanks again,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: desperately in need of love. Well, your advice, whether it
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: is harsh are not, it's greatly needed. I specialized in
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: the harshness of advice. I figured harsh is the best
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: way to go sometimes because at this point, for you
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: to write a nationally syndicated show something is really the
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: hell wrong. You tried asking your other friends, then you
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: get shot well, basically because you know they ain't gonna
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: tell you what you want to heal. I ain't gonna
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: tell you what you want to heal. But your letter
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: says that at the beginning, and at the end and
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: all through the middle, desperate, desperate need of love, Desperately
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: in need of love and greatly needed. You know, lady,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: your real problem ain't your man. Your real problem is you.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Because you're desperate and you have an addiction because you
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: say it in your letter. I guess you can say
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I'm an addict for love. Anytime you're an attic for anything,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: it's an over abuse of one thing. You know. They
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: say if you drink too much water, it could kill you.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: They say that. I never knew that. But if too
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: much of anything, You drink too much liquor, you smoke
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: too many cigarettes, you take too many drugs, you stay
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: up too long, you sleep too long, You eat too
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: much pork, you eat too much sugar. You don't all
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: of this. Anything in excess is bad for you when
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you excessively in need of love. I don't know what
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: happened in your childhood. I don't know who didn't tell
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: it to you enough. Now you want it all from
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: everybody else you meet. But let me tell you what's
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: gonna happen with your little needy self. First of all,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: when you write me a letter, don't all through your letter,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: you needy. My guy has straight affection problems. He said
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: he loves me once in a while, but it's like
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: pulling teeth from his mouth. Okay, but don't he tell
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: you that. He basically says that when we're going through
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: crazy situations like near death experiences. The hell been happening
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: in y'all? Three years near death experiences? Who y'all keep
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: having operations? Y'all gotta go down there and see by
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: each other what what happened. But at least in the
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: moment of crisis, the man is there for you. What
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: do you want? I can't count for you the women
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I have heard talk to in my lifetime who have
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: let a good man get away because their qualifications and
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: expectations of a man was ridiculous. Ladies, you can't keep
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: want the man to love you the same way you
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: love him. That ain't how we love. Now this man
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: coming in here near death experiences and he's steal with you.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: When it all break down and go bad, he there
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: by your side, and you know he loved you because
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: you say you sense it. But see then when he
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: when you want him to say it all the time,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: he said you should know how I feel, right, And
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: then you say gobage like that. Well, now I guess
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: what when he do show you affection, you shine that.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: So now you want your man to keep showing you
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: with it, But every time you get it from him,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: it ain't enough, which leads us not to continue to
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: give more. Now you've had all these other guys that
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: been wind and dying, you would shower at you with
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the expressive gifts and all like this, but and you
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: got to have that. Then you try to throw me
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: off and say, Shirley, I'm the type of woman right
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: there trying to get somebody to go along with you.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: But you're messed up, cause Steve go answering the letter too.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Now you've been dating a man for three years and
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: you wonder why he popped a big question. He'd go,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: don't know, man, wanna sign up for a life with
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: a needy ass woman? Men want to be need at
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: but we don't want to sign up for no needy
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: ass woman. I got to sit up under you, I
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: got to be with you. I got to tell you
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: how beautiful you are. I got to shower you with
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: these flowers give. If you ain't getting that, then your
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: ass ain't happy. Who you know finn to sign up
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: with that? The man you got ain't signed enough for that,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and the other ones you had in your past ain't
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: signed up for it, And you've feen to be lonely
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the rest of your life because your ass is needy.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Stop expecting everybody to make you happy and make yourself happy.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Hey't nobody make you happy but you? And obviously, lady,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: you ain't happy now you want everybody come along and
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: make you happy. Your needy, lonely ass to be needy
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: and lonely for a long ass time. Ain't nobody been
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: to marry your needy ass? Wow? Yes, tell Steve, I said, hey,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: tell him. He's not talking to you. You can talk
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: to him. You can talk to him. Okay, we're tell him.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I heard Steve. Come on, this is so awkward for us.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: We're in the middle. You guys are friends, you've been
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: friends for years. Oh yeah, well well, I mean maybe
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: what's the problem though? You fired him and you're not
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: talking to him. Don't you think that's the problem, Like
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: a major problem. I'm still here. You guys got talking
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: to him. I feel like fraido he got killed and godfather, godfather? Yes, Oh,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: I thought you were talking about a fraidough in ah
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Lord of the Rings. He knows the movie. I love
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Lord of the Rings. I haven't seen all of them.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: They've beenn't do anymore than I haven't heard anything. Yeah,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: George Wallace, Mom is doing called Lord of the Onion Range.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, the
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: guys are here with today's comedy segment. Jay, come on,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: this is out of your mind. You're still work here
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: for now. Tell us what is has to do and
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: how women can take anything that a man does, anything,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: any any little movement, any anything, anything and make something
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: out of it. By the way she phrases it like
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: it makes you feel as if you're doing something wrong
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: anything for instance, Oh, oh, you taking showers? Now, what's
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: wrong with that? And we got one in the band.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: When did you start taking showers all of a sudden
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you showering up? That's self for phrasing right there. When
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: did you start wearing that fragrance? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, that's
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: not what you usually wear. But yeah, I just I
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: was in the department stone. I saw, lad, you're changing up.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Now you're changing up fragrances when they they start with,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I see you got some new shoes. Yeah? When did
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: you start eating toast? I never knows you like toast?
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Toast can't even have Yeah, I just wanted to try
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: cut you cutting bread in half? Now, so we cutting
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: off ends, don't the crust we don't eat crushed them all? Yeah.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: The food yeah, yeah, always something all of this I
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: love right here, just when you start buying new socks, yeah,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: well old sock for l Yeah. I get this one
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: all the time. What is you doing on that side
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: of time? Yeah? Why are you aver that? What did
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: you're doing in sugar lane? That's what I want to know?
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: What you do over there? Who you know? Yeah, Carlos
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: from Oh higg one. This is when this when they
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: say it just really bothers us because we be mine
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: my own business on the phone. Maybe they just laughing,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: having a good time. What's so funny? I'd like to
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: laugh too, Yeah what what? What a head back? Laughing
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: and there that Yeah you're cracking out. Yeah, my favorite
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: segment of two thousand and eighteen right here, what I
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: saw you scribbling? What you scratch it out? Phone? Yeah?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: You got see your sound you wrote up down, scratched up?
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: You were scribbling what you scratch it out? Yeah? Oh
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I got one, Steve, I got one, Shirley, tell that one.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Jay has one, Steve, Okay telling me go ahead? Since
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: since when you started liking that song? When I never
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: know you like, hey, oh, that's your jam. I got war,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: I got war for you? Ready for this? What you
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: gotta bring it? Why girl keep calling you? Your dogs
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: were friends? But what do you keep calling your photo?
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Girl has replaced? I got I got this one about
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: a monica. So you you didn't went from zess to
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: dove h. So you didn't went from zes to dub.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: That's what you're doing now you're doing dub. Who got
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: your own? Who put your own duck? Yeah? I got one?
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I got one. I got one of that one. So
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: you went to the mcdown's on the other side of

- 1:15:35Speaker 1: to be at every taco Tuesday? What's down? That so good?
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Taco down? Are you Mexican? Now? Where you know how from?
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: At the bank? Coming here every day? Any time? I
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: knowiced cleaning? Yeah, people always speaking. This is my first
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: time in here. Yeah yeah, no, no, so I see
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: y'all friends on Facebook? We ain't friends on Facebook. That's
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: the big one, right there. I love it. Don't hit
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: that boy, don't hit that like but nothing. Yeah, be careful.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: So you're hugging people around the waist when you take
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: pictures now, huh. We gotta have our all straight up
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: in the air. We gotta be arrest. We're getting arrest.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: So when you start wiping stuff off my face. Yeah yeah,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: oh boy, got some sleep in your eye, just was
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: giving it. I'm just getting sleeping. Or you like baked
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: chicken down all of a sudden you chicken out. Okay,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: that's what we're doing. I'm stupid. You're eating baked chicken.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Since when Since when you got to where you want
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: to hold my hand? Now? When we got when they
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: start here this hole in hand? When that start you
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: started wearing your ring again. Huh. You can't win alright,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: come with Steve closes out o this. I'm through you
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: through now, you through you? When you start crying after six,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Oh my god, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Michael Wolfe remember that name. Michael wolf He is the
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: author of a controversial new book, Fire and Fury. It
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: did els the first year of Donald Trump's presidency. Uh
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: and he was on Meet the Press yesterday and recently
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: appeared on the Today Show. Wolf has come under fire
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: from the White House, which has accused him of fabricating
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: many of the claims in this book. But Wolf insists
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: he is comfortable with everything he wrote and that he
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: has recordings and notes from every conversation he had with
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the President and others inside the administration. Okay, Trump's lawyer
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: fired off a cease and desist letter to block today's
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: publication of the new book, which Wolf says only helps
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: him prove the point of his book. He says, this
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: is extraordinary that a president would try to stop the
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: publication of the book. And as for Wolf's credibility being questioned,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: here is Wolf's explanation to Today's show, Savannah Guthrie, take
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: a listen here. We got work like every journalist works.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: So I have recordings, I have notes. Um, I am
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: certainly and absolutely in every way comfortable with everything I've
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: reported in this Would you release any of those recordings
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: since your credibility is being questioned. My credibility is being crushed,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: questioned by a man who has less credibility than perhaps
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: anyone who has ever walked on earth. At this point, Wow,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: baby's got down that Steve. You say what cha to
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: anyone that has ever walked on earth. Though, that's crazy.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Don't come for him, Do not come from Michael Wolf's okay,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: He also said. Michael Wolfe also said he spoke to
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: dozens of people inside the White House, and one percent
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: of the people around him question his intelligence and fitness
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to do the job. Um, adding they're talking about the
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: president now, adding they all say he is like a child,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: and what they mean by that is that he has
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: an immediate need for gratification. It is all about him.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Wolf claims that people he spoke to describe the president
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: as a quote moron and an idiot. President Trump rejects
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: those assertions, of course, and said that he is very stable.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, he is a very stable genius.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: All right. Uh, he tweeted, he was an excellent student
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: and won the presidency on the first trial, Right Am,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Barack Obamba and Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you everybody who ran the first time. Yeah, so,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I mean, and and Michael Wolfe was actually in and
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: around the White House. I mean he was the air
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: he you know, how did he get in? Yeah? He
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: had he had to have access they said he had access,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: he had to pass all of that, so they knew
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: he was there. So, I mean, all of this stuff
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: is just made up. Now, that's what they're saying that
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: they're calling it a fiction. They're calling the book fiction. Now, yeah,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I got comebacks, is funny. I'm a stable genius. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: he could come up with him. Yeah. Here's the deal.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: And I've said this all along. Here's a seventy year
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: old guy who has made billions of dollars. He's just
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: an old rich guy who had a reality show, who's
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: been on the cover of Playgirl magazine, who has been
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: an international playboy. He is now the president with no
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: political experience, never worked on the streets to help people,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: He's never been in any political office, ain't been mayor,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Alderman counsel him in nothing, And now he's the president
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: who is just non presidential on almost any level. Now,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: does he have some good business ideas? I think he
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: might be onto something business wise. Does he have any
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: people's skills? Not a single one. Does he uplift and
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: try to do the most for people? Not at all?
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I mean it. Does he have a clue as to
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: what the common man thinks? He feels not and will
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: he listen to people who have that advice for him? No? No,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: but his base. Have you ever talked to the base personally? Yeah? Hey, man,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I wish I could think of his lady's name. Have
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: you seen the lady that was defending Judge Roy Moore
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: that they hired the campaign manager, his campaign manager, the
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: white lady, blonde boy. When you listen to her try
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: to justify Roy Moore, it was It's ridiculous and it
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: just goes to show you how bipartisan this country is. Look,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Republicans know that this guy, Donald Trump is not presidential
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: acting at all. They know that he goes against everything
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: that's ever been Yeah, they knew that even before he
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: you know, they thought he would become more presidential. But
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: they try to stand with him. If you look at
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: just flip between CNN and Fox News, just do that
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: one day that all they've been talking about is the
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: book I'm talking about is to Russia investigation. All they've
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: been talking about is this turmoil in the White House.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: All they've been talking to about is Donald Trump's unfitness.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: You go to Fox, all they're talking about is the
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: Clintons are now under investigation. They're gonna reopen the investigation. Clinton,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: did they do did they take foundation contributions for political favors? Uh,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: look at these immigrants. We need a wall. This is
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: what's happening with immigration. And the president has approval skipped
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: approval rating. Jobs are up, unemployment is down, the stock
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: markets at all time high. That's all Fox say and
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: all c and then say is what's wrong? It's this
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: the craziest thing I know. His wife looked, she looked tired,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: she looked like she fed up with it. Book. She cried,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: she was distraught. Hell, a lot of people cried the
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: whole weekend. You're listening Steve Harvey Show. All right, Uh,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: we talked about author Michael Wolfe and his book that's
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: out today, Fire and Fury. Um, it's all about the
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: president and the White House right now, the goings on
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: in the White House. You know how he's questioning the
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: president's credibility and and his fitness to be president and
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: all of that. And the president klapped back and said
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: he's a very stable genius. Well, Dan Rather tweeted, Uh,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: you remember Dan Rather used to be on sixty minutes
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: for for years and years. Anyway, he tweeted, Yeah, a legend.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: You're right, dear Mr President. A good rule of thumb
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: is that when you've got it, you don't have to
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: say it. People know. That holds true for wealth, compassion, faith,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: and yes, being a very stable genius. Sincerely, Dan. So
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: there you go with the president, with the President saying,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you know, tweeting, he's a very able genius. Dan. Rather,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: it's just saying, you don't have to say it. People
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: know it. You don't have to, you know, remind us,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: we'll figure it out. Yeah. The awards season kicked off
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: last night with the seventy five annual Golden Globe Awards,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: honoring the best in film and television. It was hosted
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: by Seth Myers. Hollywood women joined forces last night to
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: fight sexual harassment. Uh. Some of the actresses wore black
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: in solidarity for victims of sexual harassment and abuse. Here
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: were some of the nominees. Game of Thrones, of course, Uh,

- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Sydney received the Cecil Beda Mille Award right here at
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: the Golden Globe. And it is not lost on me
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: that at this moment there are some little girls watching
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: as I become the first black woman to be given
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: the same award. So I want all the girls watching
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: here now to know that a new day is on
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: the horizon, and when that new day finally dawns, it
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: of them are right here in this room tonight, and
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: some pretty phenomenal men fighting hard to make sure that
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: they become the leaders who take us to the time
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: when nobody ever has to say me too. Again. And
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: congratulations by the way, to Mary J. Blige. We mentioned
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: she got a nomination from Mud Pound. She also got
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yeah, she's
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: getting it, So congratulations to her. Now the Golden Globe,
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: of course show when I have gained six pounds over
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: the holiday, got to do that. That's an award, that's
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: an achievement. You were nominated most pounds gains. Congratulations Steve,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: Congratulations good work. Okay, the Golden Globes, like we said,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: really good last night. When we come back, we're going
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: to talk about Steve. You'r Cleveland Browns. What about them?
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: We have zero in in some way? What what do
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: you want to talk to them? They got a better
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: recordar your challenges. Shut up, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve. The hopeless condition of
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: your Cleveland Browns And yes, I say you're Cleveland Browns.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: You're Cleveland Browns. They were blamed for an Ohio man's death, Stez.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: And this is this is really sad. I mean, and
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Ohio man passed away after suffering from a long illness.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: His affliction here it is being a Cleveland Browns fan.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: His name is Mr Paul Stark. He died at just
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: the first world reporter what him? What are you saying?
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: Myself inflicted? At least people didn't die following the damn
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: frown His family, you know, they published like a little
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: tongue in cheek obituary saying his condition was exacerbated by
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: the hopeless condition of the Cleveland Browns. Mr Stark died
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: days before his team lost its final game and kept
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: off its winless, winless season. The obituary did, however, share
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: glimmer a glimmer of optimism. It added that Start passed
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: out before the Browns were prepared to turn the corner. Steve, No, No,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: there's no corner to turn you own sixteen two years
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: in a row. You have to end. You gotta turn around.
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: This ain't no corner. You gotta make it you turn
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: What do they do though? I mean, seriously, first of all,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: even I care about I have no idea how this
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: coach is steal the coach. Any other team would have
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: fired him. You're saying, second, yeah, is he dating anyone?
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: I mean, you know who would date him? Steve? He losing?
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: Who gonna sit out there in the frigid cold Sunday
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: to your job to watch you? Pretty soon? Someone would
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: have had know how much you have to know about six?
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: Dang took a turn? Yeah, are you gonna turn in
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: the corner? I said he'd been there for thirty six
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: with thirty two games or something like that, and he's
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: still got his job. I do one damn song and
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: get you right, Jay, get real. I ain't gonna let
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: you do me like you did them over there, if
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: you were the owner of the Browns, the coach would
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: have been to talk about him. Jay. You can't even
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: say his name now, Jay Anthony Brown. What he went
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: over there and ran their raids in the ground. You're
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: not gonna come over The rains went in the ground
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: when I left, Yes, don't put that out there. When
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: I left, they went down. I just started losing mark. No, no, no,
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: they lost markets when they left. J left. I mean
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: he left, he got caught up. You forgot. You're listening
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we go, Steve,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: just one more thing to close out the show, starting
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: two thousand eighteen with closing remarks. Yeah, you know, first
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: I wanted to say our cardless goes out there an
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: incredible brother that was on the radio for years at
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: k g l H, and his name is Cliff wooster Man.
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: When I heard that, it was unbelievable to me, and
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: I just recently heard it. I was so late to
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: the table. But first day back, I want to say
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: our cadoles and heartfelt sympathy. God is out to his family.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: But know this though, that that brother right there left
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: an incredibly lasting impression. That that brother right there was
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: one of those special men. Cliff Winston was a special guy.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: He was one of the most like people in radio.
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: I really don't know anybody saying anything disparaging about the brother.
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: Cliff Winston was one of the rail ones. He was
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: one of the great radio people, man, and I just
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: wanted to send that, say that out for Cliff Winston
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: on that first day back. So rest in peach, brother,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: But man, sold your job well done. Of course, you
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: know the good always go too early. You know, we don't.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: We don't like this as people, but it's not our call,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: and so those of us that are left to deal
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: with it, we just had to remember the joyous things
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: that he did. He was a great brother. So Cliff
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Winston one of the great ones, Yes, sir, now uh.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: This year I had talked to the crew and I
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: thought closing out the show on a positive note, to
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: try to be encouraging the people, would be important. I
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: all have had a very interesting life. I used to
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: always wonder why God allowed so many things to happen
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: to me. I was so tripped out, man, growing up
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: with a stuttering problem, you know, flunking out of school,
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: third marriage, um, lost everything I've owned, twice, homeless, living
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: in a car, and I used to just be questioning
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: God about all of it. And as I got older understood.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: Somebody sent a message to me one time to said,
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: everything you're going through is preparing you for what you
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: ask God for. Everything you're going through is preparing you
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: for what you ask God for. So little did I
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: know that all those moments in my life, that I
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: would have those to advantage now that now, because I
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: have a radio show, a TV show, there's so many
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: other things going in my life, I actually can spread
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: the good news of hope, of encouragement. That I can
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: tell you how to get up because I've been down.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: I can share with you how to get over because
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: I've been under. I can tell you how to do
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: better because I've done worse. I can tell you how
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: to do good because I've done bad. I can tell
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: you how to win because I have lost. So everything
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: you're going through is God preparing you for what you
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: ask God for. And so I appreciate my life now,
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: and that's in going into two thousand and eighteen, I
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: would implore everybody to appreciate your life where it is
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: right now. Stop complaining about the things that you don't have,
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: and let's take a real good case of inventory and
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: start focusing on the things that we do have. Whatever
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: measure of health you have, you are still here. Whatever
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: financial situation you're in, you still here. And at the
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: end of the day, He allowed you to see two
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: thousand and eighteen. And the reason that you are seeing
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: two thousand and eighteen is simple. It's because God ain't
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: through with you yet. It's because God has something else
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: in the store for you that He has yet been
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: able to give to you yet. And so you should
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: be in receiver mold. You should live your life in
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: the life of expectations. You should take advantage of this
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: new opportunity that's given to you. If you don't have
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: the right attitude, you know you can change that. That's
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: the one thing you can control, what goes on in
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: your side, your head. You ain't controlled by the devil.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: You are controlled by your thoughts. If you think godly thoughts,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: good things happened to you. If you think devilish thoughts,
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: bad things happened to you. But you have the power
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: of choice. Here we are the one creature that God
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: created where we have the total power of choice. We
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: can live where we want to live. We can do
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: a cold climate or a hot climate. Well, you have
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: a choice with your mind set. If you change your mind,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: if you change your attitude, you instantly change your altitude.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: This is two thousand and eighteen. Take advantage of this
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: opportunity that God has given you. Some of these changes
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: is gonna have to require a sense of bravery because
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: one or two of these decisions are so big that's
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: gonna make you fearful. Being afraid is a part of it.
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: I'm afraid from time to time with decisions I have
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: to make. I'm faced oftentimes with decisions man to make
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: me wonder and second guess myself and even thinking if
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: I shield or if I should just stay still. But
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: you can't go forward and stay still. At the same time,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: you can't advance and progress without stepping. Stepping requires a
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: certain amount of bravery. But certain steps you take are
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: gonna be fearful. Everybody is afraid, but you got to
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: face it though, deal with it, and take God with
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: you in these decisions. Quick tripping yourself out. That's what
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: God is there for. He provides strength when you're weak,
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: He provides guidance when you confuse that's what he do.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: So two thousand and eighteen, why don't we all take
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: advantage of that? I know I'm gonna try to do
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: it more and more as the year goes on. Start
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: your two thousand and eighteen off with God. Okay, put
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: some God in your life and have yourself a better
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: two thousand and eighteen. Two thousand and eighteen can be
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: the best year of your life, y'all feel me? Yeah? Steve?
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Does that mean gets his job back? Then? I think
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: about it tomorrow? Does he come here? God? Stuff? God
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with him. He did that anybody,
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: He gave him the power to decide, right. That's that's
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: the short for all Steve Harvey contests. No purchase necessary,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: void where prohibited. Participants must be legal US residents at
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: least eighteen years old, unless otherwise stated. For complete contest rules,
